SI NOS DEJAN # 33 Part 1

Alicia explains that she is there to apologize for the mess that Martín had to go through with Sergio and how horribly Sergio treated him. Martín was not expecting anything less. He explains how later at work Sergio forbade him to see Alicia or his children. Sergio and he were born to not get along just as he and Alica were born to find each other. Alicia thinks that sounds dangerous. Martín thinks it sounds very very dangerous. They kiss.

Rubbing her neck, Julieta tells Sergio he will never do that again to her or he will never see her again in his life. He apologizes saying it was an impulsive response. She explains that she was only making a joke about Martín and Alicia going to bed together. She accuses him of still being jealous where Alicia is concerned, too "basic", and a male chauvinist. She doesn't get how after all that has happened he still thinks he has some kind of power over Alicia. He thinks it is logical since he isn't officially divorced from her. Julieta reminds him they have been lovers for three years and it never bothered him that he was married. He explains that there is no comparison because he is a MAN. Julieta rubs her neck again and thinks that Martín an Alicia have every right to remake their lives and he is going to have to get used to the idea that Alicia might fall in love again. An incensed Sergio insists that will never happen and the very idea that Alicia could end up with Martín is absurd and offensive to him. That will never happen not in his worst nightmare. Julieta looks incredulous and disappointed.

Martín is happy to see Alicia blushing like a teenager. She reminds him she isn't a teenager. Well the next time she brings up the topic of age, Martín says he will steal a kiss. He sticks to his word when she protests. She tells him that she is asking for some time because of what is going on in her life and now she is being faced with something she never ever imagined could happen in her life. He agrees to go along for this one time. He thinks she came by to affirm that they are both falling in love like two teenagers. When will she recognize that?

Carlota is going to drop of Sofía at Martín's house. When Sofía expresses her wish that her parents get back together, Carlota explains for the umpteenth time that that is never going to happen and that he father has every right to remake his life.

Yuri confronts Moisés about the real reason why he wants to defend Cholo. He is an innocent man and their personal problems do not have to affect him. Offended, he asks what she is insinuating about his professional ethics. If Cholo is innocent as she says, he will be out in no time. If not, he will rot in jail, PERIOD.

Cholo tries to talk Azote out of trying to escape. Azote says he is going with friends. Cholo says those are not his friends. At the first sign of trouble they will be gone. Cholo warns him he could get killed. Azote knows but he cannot take being in prison any longer. He had a chance to escape a year ago but didn't take it. He is doing for his family. He misses his wife and his kids, his life. As for the last group that tried to escape, one made it and five were killed. Cholo asks if he is listening to himself. Azote insists it will turn out fine. Azote says if Cholo wants to join them now is the time because the train is going.


 

DEJAN Part 2

Miranda is eating and raving over a piece of YaYa's cake when Gonzo comes in. He tries it and agrees. Gonzo asks Miranda why she ran away. She insists it has nothing to do with the family. She feels like she just doesn't fit in anywhere. Being so alone is a horrible feeling. Gonzo tries to explain that everyone goes through it. It happened to him and he felt that way for a long time but it is life's way of showing you your place. He uses himself as an example. He studied medicine to please their father but he got brave enough to quit and do what he loves which is to become a pastry chef. She laughs thinking it is a joke. He explains he is studying gastronomy at an institute and working at a bakery making bread. He reveals that he made the cake they are eating not YaYa. Eva comes in wondering what secrets they are telling. She starts picking at the cake so he offers to cut her a slice.

Julieta wants Chiquis to find out what goin on between Sergio's ex and Martín. She thinks they are more than friends. It is very strange.

Emiliano has brought Sergio some folders from the car and is told to call Lucas and find out if Alicia has been evicted from the foundation. Emiliano is confused and asks what happened to Alicia. Sergio says nothing but he has gotten tired of her laughing in his face. If she wants war, he will give it to her. Emiliano is sorry they are getting divorced. Sergio tells him not to get all sentimental. Things happen. Fabián comes to talk to Sergio.

Alicia needs to leave but Martín reminds her that they still have a get-to-gether pending that came to a crashing halt when Miranda went missing. He want to pick it up right where they left off. That makes Miranda laugh. He wants to invite her to a very close crazy house from where the mountains view is spectacular. He suggests this weekend because he is crazy involve with her. His strategy is his smile. Hers is discovering what is going on between them little by little and addressing the age issue.
Martín tells her that love has noting to do with age, numbers, the calendar but with passion and chemistry which they have in excess. He kisses . . . her and goodbye.

As she leaves, Alicia runs in to Karina who asks if she has been to visit her nephew. Alicia explains that they are just friends and that she isn't his aunt. Karina admits that she made the mistake due to Alicia's age. Well, Karina has some info for Alicia so she might point her friend in the right direction. Martín is derailing his life. Ever since the divorce, he has been going from woman to woman like a mad man. His life is in such chaos that she thinks it is even affecting his work. Alicia tells her that Martín is an adult whose life is his responsibility and not Karina's. She turns and leaves.

Lucas tells Mercedes to throw out the last box with Alicia's things and, to her shock, to disinfect everything with bleach. He tells her to keep the mic they had installed when Alicia arrived in place because you never know who is going to occupy that office and it is always good to know what someone is saying behind your back.

Karina pops by Martín's to pick up her stand mixer. As he gets it for her, she zips up the stairs to see if the bed is made. He asks her if she is looking for anything else, it isn't up there. She mentions she saw his "aunt out here and she looked . . . Martín makes sure she knows that he doesn't think her joke is funny. He thought she was more mature than that. Karina says well he seems to be interested now in "mature" women or is he going to deny that that woman is his novia. Martín tells her it is none of her business. Karina thinks otherwise. Everything having to do with him is her business. Martín is correctly shocked by that comment and asks how?
 

DEJAN Part 3

Karina says loves him. He says it isn't love that she feels. She argues that he cannot know how she feels. She has been waiting around for months for him to be ready to take the next move and then when she least expects it he takes up with a woman who could be senior citizen. He tells her to calm down. No, she isn't going to calm down. She wants to know what in the hell that woman has that she doesn't. He barely knows her. There is a knock at the door. With a big smile, Karina tells Martín to go open it. Much to Karina's disappointment, it is Carlota and Sofía.

Andrea, Yuri's friend at the law office, tells her that she supports her in her decision to leave Moisés as a woman. They hug. Moisés sees them.

Azote asks Cholo if he thought about it as another inmate listens from outside the cell. Cholo will not be trying to escape. He won't give those who have him jailed here that pleasure. He is innocent. Azote says he can start from zero in another country and fall in love with a girl like him. Cholo has made up his mind. He is not going.

Alicia arrives at her house where Eva immediately is giving her the third degree about where she has been. Alicia isn't talking as Eva denigrates Fedora and wonders about Alicia and that employee of Sergio's. Eva says the kids are in their rooms longing for the life they all had had before Alicia threw Sergio out. Alicia tells her mother that as she has been defending her son-in-law, he removed her from the foundation. He is only interested in having his revenge on her as an alpha male. He cannot stand that she won't put up with his deceit. Eva asks if Alicia remembers what she told her. Alica answers that it was so humiliating that it isn't worth remembering. Eva says she is sorry . . .

Lucas has brought fine French food and champagne to his mother's house to celebrate that Sergio is finally on his side. He wants to toast to her surgery being a success. She gives thanks to the Virgin. Lucas thinks he deserves some credit, too, for making Sergio take responsibility. He is sure she will be walking after the surgery and they will have the life they deserved. She doesn't look as convinced as he does.

Karina stays as everyone experiences an uncomfortable silence. Finally, Karina takes Martín aside and tells him they haven't finished their conversation. Martín tells her that the conversation is over. Sofía and Carlota can overhear. Karina puts on a fake smile and excuse herself and mentioning how many visitors Martín has had today. Martín has to remind her to take her mixer; that was the reason for her coming, right?

Carlota asks if they were fighting. Martín says that Karina has been a little intense lately. Carlota thinks she sounded more jealous with that comment about so many visitors. Martín wa ts to hear abut the robbery. They haven't caught the second their, right? Carlota tells Martín that she knows him.


 

DEJAN Part 4

Sergio is telling Fabián that we all lose things. We are not twenty anymore. Fabián understands that but what is happening to Rebeca has him worried. What if something were to happen to her? Sergio says not to get too far ahead of himself and wait until he hears what the specialists say. He then tells Fabián how he found out that Martín will no be on the set today and how happy he was. Chuckling, Sergio says he cannot stand Martín more and more with each passing day. With a sad smile, Fabián notes that Sergio is always centered on himself. Sergio agrees. Fabián reminds him that his focus on himself makes him forget that those people who are important to him and his friends also have problems. He leaves.

Alicia talks to Miranda. She finds out there's problem with Diego that Miranda doesn't want to talk about. Alicia informs Miranda she is going to school tomorrow to see what kind psychological support can be offered to her. Miranda thinks that will make her look crazy. Alicia explains that she goes for counseling and is not crazy. Professional help is useful to find answers for feeling you are having when you are unable to. Miranda is convinced that nobody can help her. Alicia is worried that her problems with Sergio are affecting Miranda more than they think. Miranda disappears into her bathroom.

Sergio and Julieta are interviewing a political figure on his program. She interrupts him and upstages him. Sergio is fuming.

As they work on the dining room table and watch Sergio's show, Sofía asks if the show is for someone her age. Sergio thinks it would do her good to see a journalist who rather than asking the guest hard questions seems to rather want to have a beer with him. She wonders why he isn't there. Martín explains it is better he was at home and no, they didn't fire him. All of his reports are, for the most part, pre-recorded. He is usually there to support the team but today it is more important that he be there with her. She smiles. She asks him if there is something new in his life to tell her about. He changes the topic to his report on the show that is about to come on and defers any philosophical discussions until tomorrow. She leaves the table. His report on the problem of impunity in the criminal justice system comes on.

The show is on at the prison. Cholo tells Azote that Martín is the brother of the man he is accused of killing. Azote thinks that Martín talking on TV is the worst thing that could happen to Cholo. It will put on public pressure to find him guilty. Cholo insists he is innocent. Azote says that isn't what that guy on TV is saying.

Yuri tells her mother that she has called off the wedding with Moisés and why. Yuri explains how the whole thing with Moisés forever made her feel claustrophobic. Alicia thinks she is very brave. Yuri explains that everyone expected her to marry Moisés but she decided to listen to that little voice inside of her. Alicia admires her wisdom and wishes she had listened to her own little voice years ago. Yuri has seen how unjustly Alicia has been treated and didn't want that for herself. Alicia is so proud of Yuri. Alica asks for Moisés' reaction. Yuri says he couldn't understand why.

At the same time, Moisés has had sex with the wedding planner and is sitting just thinking. She babble on about chakras and he ignores her. He is finding it all very strange. She was organizing his wedding and now she is in his bed. He hopes she doesn't feel used. No she has done it with other novas. Well, he is no longer a novio. He feels like she is in love with someone else. She asks if it is the prisoner he told her about. She couldn't imagine a Carranza doing that. They could have a series: "Imprisoned By Love". Moisés is annoyed with that and wants tithing. She say that couples always get back together again and getting married if nothing else for the photos.


 

TU MAMOR ep 62 part 1

A security guard opens the locked door of the workroom, interrupting Claudio and Valentina in the middle of their kiss. He heard an argument and someone is looking for Val. Ricardo appears with some flowers. Claudio gets angry and says he'll go so they can talk. I'd tell you I'm sorry for what happened, he tells Ricardo, but I'd gladly do it again. Val tells Ricardo to go. He ruined the happiest day of her life. I'll go, he says, but I'm not giving up. I know I'm about to get you back.

Guillermo is sitting on the therapy couch talking to the Doctora. He says that happiness doesn't exist. It's a childish promise people are told so they don't do what they want, but what they should do. I do what I have to do, period. And I don't ask anyone for permission. If you insist on talking about the subject of Helena, I'm going to have to go. OK, the doctor says, we'll talk about your other daughter Nora. She's like me. Impulsive, likeable, joyful. And how was Nora's mother? The most beautiful woman I ever met. I fell madly in love when I saw her. I've never been able to forget her. I remember her aroma, her eyes, the smoothness of her skin. That's why when I found out she had my daughter, I gave myself the task of finding her. She's all that remains of the love of my life.

Pat looks shaken when she arrives home. Are you OK?, asks Adelaida. No, I think I just saw Ricardo's father. I don't think it would be a good idea to tell him. What if he asks us for money? He could be a drug addict or a villain. It might be better if we ask Arcadio to investigate so we know what we're dealing with. Ricardo returns home with his flowers. He tells Patricia he's thinking about going to therapy like Rosa Maria recommended. It would be the first step in finding his father. Patricia denies remembering him. She see's Camila's text to Ricardo that she'll be going to therapy with him. She tells Lucha that she can't let him get too close to her because she has other plans for him. She tells Lucha to keep listening. She has a feeling that Ricardo is hiding something from her.

Enrique sees Nora at work and tells her it will be an advantage when she is officially Nora Vargas. Of course they have to make a lab appointment to reaffirm the DNA results.

Brochas and Perro are finally able to break into Horacio's house. They go right to the secret room moving the hutch to the side. Brochas works on the lock. When they get inside, they think they've hit the lottery. Brochas laughs at the portrait of Horacio's father. You have to pay us protection money too, he says.

Leonardo confronts Yolanda at her studio. He says he won't tolerate what she did to Camila. He's ashamed of his family but he doesn't hate them. Whoever made that video is going to have to deal with me, he says. Beba, Yolanda calls, throwing her under the bus. Remember that Beba isn't vey bright but her intentions were good. What's the objective?, asks Leonardo. To take everything that Helena has, Yolanda says. Everything she is and all that she loves. Why?, asks Leo. I would love for you to tell me why you hate her so much. If I'm going to keep harming my family I'd at least like to know why they're being sacrificed. If I'm going to keep helping you Yolanda, I need to know. I'll meet you tomorrow at our usual place, Yolanda tells him.

 

TU AMOR ep 62 part 2

Enrique watches on his iPad as Nora talks to her father in the hallway. She tells him she's nervous because she's afraid of not living up to his last name. He assures her that she's his daughter and he loves her. He gives her a hug. How easy Guillermo is to manipulate, Enrique thinks. Nora isn't as foolish as she appears. I'm going to need an ally to cover my back. Alicia, by chance, shows up just then. He invites her to coffee and she goes to get her purse.

Majo and Helena visit Valentina at her new apartment. Val and Majo think that signing with Francesco might be a way to get Helena out of her situation. There is something about his proposal that Helena isn't crazy about though. Don't you find it strange that he came out of nowhere?, she asks. Well, you have a very good sixth sense, Val tells her. You know better than anyone what you should do. But it may be the only way to save your studio, Majo thinks.

Guillermo tells Enrique that he came to take Nora home. Enrique says he almost has everything ready to change her name to Nora Vargas. He can get it done faster than Humberto. There's just one thing. We need to do a second DNA test. Set it up for tomorrow, says Guillermo heading for the car. This is degrading taking test after test, Nora tells Enrique. It's the price you pay to belong to the Vargas family, he answers.

Claudio spots Perro and Brochas leaving his house on the run. He takes off down the street after them. They hit him hard with the car during their escape. As he falls motionless to the ground Valentina grabs her heart. Even though she's far away, she knows something is wrong. Horacio and Consuelo run to Claudio's side. Hector jumps in his cab to pursue them. Consuelo begs someone to call an ambulance. Claudio comes to and is hurt, but nothing seems to be broken. He tells his father to check the house to see if anything is missing. Consuelo and Camila bring him inside the house and Connie calls Hector to tell him not to do anything crazy. When he says he's lost them, she asks him to bring home some alcohol, gauze, and a bandage.

In his secret room Horacio sees that the thieves even took what he was going to give to Consuelo. Why didn't you stop them?, he asks his father's portrait. And why did we keep everything all this time? Grandfather didn't enjoy it. You and I didn't enjoy it. Why? So they could enjoy it? Maybe the true curse is greed.

Horacio bursts into Consuelo's and runs to turn on the TV. The news says a car lost control and crashed through a retaining wall. Both occupants died. They each had criminal records and apparantly had just committed a robbery. Poor boys, says Connie. May God keep them in his holy glory. No, says Horacio, those two aren't going to heaven.

Horacio and Claudio go home and talk. Horacio is convinced that the curse of the treasure killed Brochas and Perro. He tells Claudio that he is strictly forbidden to take anything from that room. He thought the curse was only for his family bloodline but now realizes that it's for anyone. Claudio talks about opening his new business and Horacio suggests that he might be able to sell the unused wedding wine to some of his clients.
 

TU AMOR ep 62 part 3

Cesarín comes to Consuelo's house but tells Mina that he can't play. He's moving and he came to say goodbye. Mina gives him her baseball glove and hugs him. When he leaves she starts to cry. When Connie leaves to meet Horacio, Mina says a prayer facing a large crucifix. God, please protect Cesarín and his family. And let Claudio and Valentina become novios again and get married. And something else, but it's not very good. That my grandmother and Horacio don't like each other. I know that you understand me. Thank you.

Hector whistles at Luna as he pulls into the cab stand. That woman is pure fire!, he flirts. She ignores him and he asks why she's being so cold. She doesn't even look at him as she hands him the slip for his next run. I don't know what I was thinking Juan, she says. I'm Hector. Who's Juan?, he asks. Someone I met yesterday. He's very handsome and tall. He's an artist. We'll talk later. Good luck with Juan, says Hector heading back to his cab. She hits the table in frustration and picks up the book she's been reading: "How to Make a Man Notice You"

Regino is at the morgue to identify Brochas, his son. Cibernético says there's an audio message on Brochas' phone for his father. "We had to get out of there fast. Hector is after us. Look out!" Regino can hear the sound of the tires squeeling and the crash. Horacio and Hector are going to pay, he says. I swear to you that they will pay he tells Brochas' body.

Ricardo runs into the agents from the tax agency on the street. They ask if he knows where Patricia Manrique is. They're looking for Valentina Fuentes for tax evasion. He tells them that Patricia is always very busy. He says he's only an employee. They ask if he knows where they could locate Valentina Fuentes. Now I remember, he says. One time, señora Manrique commented that señorita Valentina worked in a house of fashion in the Polanco district. With the designer Helena Vargas.

Adelaida and Guillermo talk in the garden by some of her bonzai trees. He tells her that the one night he spent with Maria Amparo changed his life. I never asked you, he says. Did you ever have someone in your life? I never experienced anything like that, she says. I took care of you when father died. I've got something waiting in the kitchen she says. I have to go. The look on her face shows she is very uncomfortable with the whole conversation.

At Helena's studio, she assures Camila that everything is going to be fine. Just answer all the questions. Cami says she's really nervous. Hello everyone, Yolanda says, stepping closer. What are you doing here?, asks Helena as a photographer snaps some pictures.
 

TU AMOR

JoelD, insightful, wry and wonderful.

The skies are dark with thunderstorms of delusion…Surely, the most powerful grey cloud was “She's like me. Impulsive, likeable, joyful”. This was so absurd, one can do little but laugh. Seriously Guillermo? Youi are none of these – neither is your non daughter.

This was followed closely by “I know I'm about to get you back.” Ricardo has grown beyond tiresome.

I have to admit being very annoyed with Valentina. First for not grabbing onto Claudio’s arm and telling Ricardo to get out, that there is NO hope. Next, she should have followed her instinct and gone to Claudio even though Consuleo reassured her he was all right. You cannot control your future if you don’t fight for it.

The air is thick with secrets. Patricia keeping knowing where Ricardo’s father is to herself. Enrique becoming all powerful due to his spying. Ricardo revealing Valentina’s whereabouts, the woman he supposedly loves.

Are we supposed to feel something because Leo doesn’t hate his family but is only embarrassed by them?? He’s done everything but knife them in the back. I can’t imagine what else he would do if he “hated” them.

Claudio gets hit with incredible force by a car and gets up with nary a scratch.

I thought the scene where Helena and Majo visited Valentina’s place was very odd. Valentina sits and eats a big salad where there is no evidence of food or drink for her guests.

Ricardo’s lies to the agents were foolish and will be easily revealed.

DEJAN Part 5

Alicia is in her bed thinking back on Martín and writing how she feels in her notebook. Nobody has ever made her feel more like woman, more capable with so many possibilities. Is he right that she isn't to old too feel butterflies in her stomach?

Sergio wakes up and the first thing he does is confront Julieta asking her why she was so aggressive yesterday during his program. She says because that corrupt politician wasn't telling the truth and she did what journalists do or has he forgotten that. He wants to know why she interrupted him. She thinks the show was far too bland yesterday. The is why she did it. He tells her that is the last time she is doing that on air. She says that was the last time he will act like he did. Sergio trumps her. That will be the last time she questions his work. It is HIS program. He will do whatever HE feels like.

it is breakfast time at Alicia's. Miranda doesn't want to talk about running away with Yuri. Gonzo congratulates her on her adventure. Alicia congratulates all three of her brave children. Eva goes on a tirade about everyone in the house celebrating irresponsibility and being raised poorly. Eva launches into a lecture about how things were in her times. Nobody could get a divorce after being married for thirty years. Nobody would have dared to cancel a wedding month ahead time, abandon a prestigious career to do nothing, nor ran way from him n a ridiculous adventure. Alicia would like to thank Eva for not getting involved. Well, Eva is getting involved. Alicia needs to take the reins of her home and her children! Sergio would have never allowed it all to go off the rails and the kids to go to hell like this. She finally leaves the table. They have ruined the meal for her.

Martín and Sofía have breakfast. She made toast. it would have been waffles but somebody (Nelson) let them burn. Martín is sure he feels bad for being distracted. They miss each other and decide to get ready to go to school early.

Miranda talks to the principal about Miranda and her problems. The principal is well-acquainted with them. They just cannot put up with her behavior any more. Alicia asks for one chance. Everyone deserves a second chance. The principal says they have given her those second chances over and over again. Alica is looking for a psychological evaluation and professional support.

Diego sits at a table outside of the school where Miranda is sitting. he has brought her a bottle of juice. She is doing okay because Nicole isn't around. He says no worries because he s going to be stuck like a flea on her all day long. As Miranda finally smiles. Nicole stops by asking what Culebra is doing seated with the "strange" one. Is he crazy? No, he is just fed up with seeing her pick on people. Nicole won't be seen in such company and turns to leave. Miranda smiles. Diego asks Nicole if her hair cut is so different from Miranda's. Nicole only wants him to know that if he hangs around with that thing, he will have lost her forever.

Fabián and Rebeca are at the doctor's office where he has a diagnosis to tell them. The doctor has then results from all the tests and wants her to listen carefully.

Samuel is with Fedora telling her he will be back later to continue with their little game. She doesn't think it is a good idea that he came and sleep there every night. She also enjoys being alone. Samuel agrees that if that is what she wants, that is what they will do. He will be back to pick her up at noon. He reminds her that she needs to retract the complaint that she made against him. He cannot believe she forgot. They are going to the Miniseries Público. He leaves. Fedora is upset and is more upset when Gonzo appears. She quickly takes him in furtively looking around for Samuel through the windows of her glass house. What is Gonzo doing there?


 

Part 6

Julieta tells her friend about the joke and Sergio's reaction. She had never seen him so violent. Then today he told her off about the show last night because she interrupted him. Her fried tells her tone careful. Maybe Sergio is better boyfriend than husband material. It common. Julieta insists it will not happen to her. Her friend hopes she will not be disappointed having bet on him.

As Alicia leaves the school, Martín brings her breakfast. She says she already ate. he reminds her that they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. There are even cultures where they eat breakfast twice a day. it is just an excuse to come and see her. She surprised him yesterday and he si surprising her today. Today he felt the necessary imperative of seeing her. It is that easy.

Fedora tells Gonzo he shouldn't be there. He knows but he has a problem and only she can solve it. He says he will make it quick and tells her about his performance issue with Lorena. As they both opine about how strange that is and Gonzo wonders if it is because he is in love with Fedora, Samuel appears pointing a gun at Gonzo saying "that is the question". Samuel glances at Fedora slightly shaking his head.

Jarifa, what a awonderful treat you have given us this (late) morning...almost noon, YIKES where did the time go!! Your detail is impeccable..and very appreciated!

Martin's persistence and assertivenes is still unsettling to me. I think that if I were in Alicia's position, I would try to stay away from him as much as possible. OTOH I can see how Alicia needs that attention, and though she is obviously feeling tense about it, she is yearning for more. I am rooting for them, but they are in for some very turbulent waters.

"As she leaves, Alicia runs in to Karina who asks if she has been to visit her nephew." Karina is quickly plummeting to the bottom of the totem pole. I hope this doens't turn into a "Fatal Attraction" type of thing...the woman carries a gun!

TU AMOR. Another detailed and insightful recap, JoelD, and some great observations, Diana, especially about Guillermo and Nora. They are alike, but not in the way he thinks. Ricardo says he wants Val back but then he sells her out to the government agents by revealing her workplace? So his only motivation really was to get her signature on those bank documents to withdraw the embezzled funds? Now why is Patricia concealing Ricardo's father from him? She must have some nefarious reason. And I wonder what her plans are for Ricardo's romantic life--Rosa Maria maybe? I can't say I mourn Brochas and Perro, but it looks as if Brochas' father will be a real danger to Hector and Horacio. A maldicion? Nope, more like those 2 low-lifes had it coming. Whoa! Leo is shameless! And how could he be ashamed of his wonderful family--especially Consuelo, and of Hector who paid for his education. But it will be interesting to see what Yolanda has against Helena besides professional rivalry. I wonder how Nora's next DNA test will go. In many ways, she is almost the perfect daughter for Guillermo, though. Oh my goodness! Valentina's long-distance reaction to Claudio's injury is a sure sign of true love. I agree with Diana that she should have gone to him, though.

I savored each of your installments this morning. You covered everything perfectly.
Let’s deal with the ugliness first. “She quickly takes him in furtively looking around for Samuel through the windows of her glass house. What is Gonzo doing there?” And yet, that was purely rhetorical. She knew Gonzalo would seek her out, there in her transparent house, offering neither privacy or shelter.

I will not berate Fedora as I am not inside her head or experiencing what she is. She knows better yet seems frozen, simply unable to act rationally in view of Samuel’s insanity. She is stunned, not able to move. We must have hope that Samuel will not use the gun as freely as he uses his fists.

“Gonzo wonders if it is because he is in love with Fedora”. Yes. The unvarnished truth - good, bad, indifferent or indefensible.

Moises shows us what we’ve suspected. But really, the wedding planner??

Lucas’ mother seems lovely. Underneath Lucas’ overt anger, I cannot help but see the child who felt abandoned and even as an adult, unacknowledged. I’m not excusing Lucas but Sergio is guilty of one of being a parent’s biggest sin, acting as though their child is invisible. Also Alicia is worried that her problems with Sergio are affecting Miranda more than they think. Count on it.

Eva continues to criticize but it seems at this point, no one is paying too much attention.

Karina has brass ba**s marching up Martin’s stairs to see if the sheets were rumpled. Any pride she has is abandoning her.

“Carlota explains for the umpteenth time that that is never going to happen and that he father has every right to remake his life”. Yet, we see the tiny smile and anticipatory look every time she prepares to accompany her daughter to see her father.

“Julieta looks incredulous and disappointed”. Get used to it honey.

Cholo is showing good judgement in not wanting to attempt to escape. But will he somehow be sucked into that very bad plan?

So usually, the train has to take its time to start the engine, then build up steam to leave the station before it finally roars down the track. Full steam ahead isn’t reached in an instant. Rgv Chick your "Martin's persistence and assertiveness is still unsettling to me" perfectly echoed how I am feeling.

“it would have been waffles but somebody (Nelson) let them burn”. Nelson is perfect. Every time I see him in his chair at the table, I break out in a huge smile.

I am not surprised that Moises slept with the wedding planner to soothe his shattered ego. Cholo now has a very powerful enemy . I hope that Martin and his father ramp up the search for the real killer .

Eva just will not butt out .She thinks she should run everybody's life .

Diego finally stood up for Miranda. Good boy . Maybe Martin was a good influence on him during their roadtrip. I

Jul is seeing Surly Serg's true colors now thanks perfect world isn't so perfect anymore . They are both spoiled babies ...this relationship is starting to crumble . They both put themselves first .

So sad about Rebecca .Fabian seems to truly love her. Heartbreaking .

Poor Luna. She wants so badly to be more than just friends with Hector. He thinks she's just flirting and kidding around. Diana, now that you mention it, I agree it's wierd that Valentina was the only one eating at her apartment. I was focused on the furniture. I couldn't figure out where it came from and how it got there so fast. Was the apartment furnished when she rented it? I wonder if the writers are using Mina's prayer as foreshadowing. If they are, it doesn't bode well for Horacio and Consuelo. Spanprof - Those two gangsters were low lifes. Nobody had anything nice to say about them except maybe Consuelo. They must have really been flying if Hector couldn't catch them in his cab.

Span Prof, yes, Yolanda's hatred for Helene certainly seems to be deep seeded. I agree it's more than "professional rivalry". It appears she wants Guillermo. They have one thing in common, their mutual dislike of the lovely, talented and kind Helena. It doesn't appear Guillermo is interested though. He has set his sights elsewhere.

"I wonder how Nora's next DNA test will go. In many ways, she is almost the perfect daughter for Guillermo, though". Yes, they deserve each other and as you noted earlier, do share similar though not to be admired traits.

JoelD, I think Val rented the apartment furnished.

We see Luna really wants Hector. He obviously isn't taking it as serious as he should. I say that only as I hope she doesn't do anything drastic to mess with his relationship with Helena. The odds are stacked against them as it is.

"I wonder if the writers are using Mina's prayer as foreshadowing. If they are, it doesn't bode well for Horacio and Consuelo." She seems more afraid than jealous. I'm sure her mother's leaving devastated her and she is afraid she will be left alone.

Embajador S2 #40 part 1

Zehra has confessed her blunder of not removing check signing authority from Gediz. Sancar notes her confession. He tells her to go. [So he can continue staring at Nare]. Nare turns to Zehra and snarks for Sancar’s benefit, okay, go away, your problem does not matter. Our honor is much more important. Back to staring.

Zehra does not want to get in the middle of this, she’s going. She asks them to calm down, don't fight. Her words don’t reach. It’s like she’s not there. She says, I'm leaving now, I'll go get Melek.

Zehra walks outside and Kavruk arrives with a bag and with Uncle Ilyas. They can’t avoid each other. Kavruk awkwardly greets her, uh ... hi, Zehra, how are you? Zehra answers she’s fine. What happened, she asks, is something wrong? Kavruk stutters, your brother Sancar said that… to bring Uncle Ilyas…and well, I did. Kavruk tells Ilyas to go ahead and follows Ilyas in without another word to Zehra.

Zehra is ticked, she quickly goes to Melek and tells her, it's time to go. Put away your pencils.

Kavruk walks into the middle of the staring contest. He gets Sancar’s attention, hey...you said to bring… Loki's father. Sancar looks at Nare and asks, could you give us some time? Nare’s wondering what’s going on. Loki’s dad enters and Nare walks out with Kavruk. Sancar invites Uncle Ilyas to come, sit down.

Nare is worried. As Kavruk goes to close the office door, Nare stops him; she wants to watch and listen.

[Turkish] Ilyas looks at Sancar an asks, is it something bad? Sancar answers, it’s the will of Allah. Ilyas nods and asks, who? Sancar with his head low and eyes looking up softly says, Loki. Ilyas smiles, Loki? Loki is in prison. Sancar tells Ilyas he was set free and adds, he wanted to kill Menekse and my unborn son. Ilyas begins to sob, oh Allah, Loki, no… Sancar puts his head in his hand.

Ilyas cries, I told him he must be a good and honest man but he never wanted to listen to me. He continues crying for his son… Loki…. Ilyas asks, who killed my son? Who did it? Sancar quietly answers, I did it. Ilyas looks shocked and then starts crying for his son again…

[I’m going to give you the Spanish translation here because Sancar explains what he is doing. He didn’t need to explain like this it in the original.]

Sancar takes the bag that Kavruk brought and places it on the table between him and Ilyas. He tells Ilyas, according to what our religion commands, if you kill someone—they kill you, or you give money. Sancar opens the bag and there is money and a gun. He takes out the gun and places it in front of Ilyas. Nare gasps, and Kavruk has to hold her back from interrupting. She watches in horror.

Sancar tells Ilyas, you can take revenge … or take the money. Sancar puts his head down and waits. Ilyas sighs, then he gets up and takes the bag. Nare looks very confused by what has happened.

Ilyas asks Sancar, will my son have a grave? Sancar replies, if you wish. And he adds, I would like to be at the funeral. Ilyas says, never and Sancar understands. He takes Ilyas out to Loki. [they edited the rest of the scene where Ilyas cries over his son’s body. It was hard to watch.]

Sancar is out in the field and Nare finds him. She lets him have it—have you lost your mind, or what? Was it worth risking your life, Sancar? You gave that man a gun! Kahraman murdered that boy, and you risk your life for something you didn't do?

Sancar pointedly explains, I wanted to compensate for the pain I caused that man and to save the honor of my son’s mother. This is how we do it. Nare shouts back, do you really mean it? Did you go crazy? Who the hell are you?! Who are you! There is the state, the laws and the police, too! Who do you think you are? The hell with your damn rules, Sancar! You went crazy! She sobs.

Embajador S2 #40 part 2

Sancar sighs. Nare tells him, [Turkish] I forgot everything because you sacrificed your life for me. I left all the pain in the past, and I looked ahead. I said if I burn, I will burn in the arms of my beloved. But what have you done? As if it wasn’t enough, you dug a grave for Menekse’s sake, and you lay down in it yourself! She physically attacks him, shouting, you sacrificed your life for Menekse, too!

Sancar grabs her hands and shouts, slow down! Take it easy! Okay, I know you’re crazy with jealousy, but I’m in love with you from head to toe, girl! I won’t sacrifice a fingernail for Menekse’s sake! Nare claims she’s not jealous of Meanie. What she can't stand are the crazy rules. Let go, she tells Sancar and tries to pull free. She can’t.

Sancar makes it clear—you did not fall in love with a European man, ambassador’s daughter. You fell in love with Sancar Efe. The rules you speak of come with me. And the gun, I did it to make up for everything. I knew that man was going to take the money and he did. Sancar continues, if you want to stay in this place, Nare, you have to understand that this is how it is done here. If you're going to be my wife, you have to understand these things.

Nare breaks away and tells Sancar, I will not support your rules. You can call it home, but my home must be different. In my home there are not dead everywhere. I cannot stand that you would give your life for a dead man. I can't stand that you want to restore the honor of that girl. I can't stand you risking your life Sancar, understand? In my city we prefer to be calm and live a life full of tranquility. I do not belong here. Nare walks away.

Sancar is unsettled. He follows Nare into the office. He calls out to her, what are you planning to do? Will you go again? Are you going to escape? Do you plan to run away from the difficulties? Will you leave? Nare says she’s not escaping anywhere. My chest is burning, okay? Are you happy? Sancar reminds her she said she would burn on his chest. Nare replies, there is no place to burn. Today Menekse laid her head on your chest. I have to go now, she says, Sancar grabs her arm, don’t go, stay, Nare. She turns to glare at him then walks away.

He calls out, I chose our wedding day. She freezes. We will get married in one week. Are we getting married, ambassador’s daughter? She looks uncertain. She turns to Sancar and says, I want Melek tonight. She bumps into Necdet on her way out.

Sancar sighs as he walks towards Necdet. He gives Necdet a head butt.

Elvan arrives at the mansion in a taxi and tells him to wait. Gulsiye meets her outside and asks do you have it? Yes. Elvan asks if Yahya is inside. Gulsiye replies, as you asked, that's what he said. Gulsiye asks her, who told you about the recording? Elvan answers, Dudu. The girl I trusted hid the truth from me without shame. But it turned out that Yahya's lover is very honest.

Gulsiye feels bad. Are you very angry with me, she asks? Elvan says she’s being cautious in case Gulsiye is hiding anything else. Gulsiye thinks. Wait, yes I there’s something. She thinks back to Dudu sneaking into the mansion to speak with her. She tells Elvan that Dudu is looking to stay in the mansion. I thought so, Elvan says, that's why he told me about the audio. If I divorce, they will marry and so they shall.

Gulsiye adds that Dudu wants to become her boss, and treat her like a servant. Elvan responds, if she dared, I would smash her pretty face to the ground. Gulsiye laughs. Elvan says, friends sometimes argue, too. So all is right between Elvan and Gulsiye now. Elvan readies herself saying, crazy Elvan will take action.

Halise, Feride and Yahya are at the dinner table. They are eating the borek that Halise and Refika prepared earlier. Yahya says it’s delicious. Feride complains, it is very thin. Halise says, yes it must be thin like a pencil. Feride says, when there is no seasoning, everything the woman cooks is going to be bad. She complains there is no filling. Halise says there is filling. Feride asks Ayse to bring her glasses so she can look for the filling. Halise snarks to bring the water jug to use as glasses.

Feride says Halise is the one who needs that. Menekse has ankles as thick as this food. Halise tells Yahya that Feride is obsessed with Menekse. She adds, that’s enough talking because Elvan is coming soon. Don't mention Menekse because she can't stand her. Maybe she pretends to hate her husband and for that reason she could ask for a divorce.

Elvan has heard, no, mother-in-law. That's not the reason. I will divorce because your dear son betrayed me. What does that mean? Elvan sits at the table and replies, you'll hear it. She asks Yahya, have you decided if you will divorce me tomorrow? Yahya says he’s not going to do it.

Halise chimes in, did you hear it? While I'm still alive, you'll be part of the Efeoglu family. Elvan warns, never. I will divorce your dear son calmly. Halise asks, do you have anything worse than you don’t love him anymore? Elvan puts her cards and her phone on the table. Listen to the proof I have, she tells them. She plays Meanie’s recording.

Elvan says, think well Yahya. We will divorce in a consensual way, or I'll play that audio in front of the court and crush your honor. Silence. Elvan takes her phone and leaves.
Feride berates Yahya, coward, coward, coward. What a shame of a man you are. You are quite a disappointment. You proved to be disgusting. Rot, Yahya. Halise glares. Yahya asks Gulsiye, where did she find the audio? You told her? No, Dudu told her. Uh, oh.

Yahya runs to catch Elvan. Elvan! Wait! Let me go, she says. Yahya asks, you lied to me? Tell me, do you still love me? She starts to go and he grabs her around the waist and gets down on his knee, Elvan, I beg you, don't go. I swear I will not do it again. Elvan says, you're not going to leave her. Get up off the ground. Yahya begs her to stay. I'll go until you calm down. I thought you would say come back to the mansion and I could be next to you.

Elvan says, can you leave me alone? I will not stay here. Can I know when will you bring Dudu? Yahya says, Dudu will not be my wife. Elvan shouts, ah, there it is! I was not wrong. You used Dudu as if she was a toy. Behave like a man for once, you coward and face the consequences. She walks and he stops her again. I understand, he tells her, I had a slip, but love can solve everything.

Elvan replies, but I no longer love you. Yahya tells her he still loves her. Don't lie anymore. I know you want to get divorced just because you found out that I cheated. Elvan says she was thinking of doing it a long time ago. Dudu told me a few hours ago, she says, tell her I appreciate it with all my soul. With her help I can get a divorce.

Ayse has been watching and listening from the door. She runs when Halise approaches.

Halise runs out to her son, Yahya, did you do it? Did you talk to Elvan? Yahya is defeated. There is no other way, she will make a scandal. I will sign the divorce. Halise is pissed. I'm not going to give you or Elvan my blessing, ever! Yahya leaves.

Ayse calls Dudu and tells her what just went down at the mansion. She asks, did he literally prostrate himself at her feet? Ayse confirms, that's right, he did. He asked for forgiveness and also told her that he was not going to marry you. Dudu calls Yahya a bastard. I'm going to make him regret it, Ayse. Let him kneel in front of me, Dudu vows.

Embajador S2 #40 part 4

Car headlights shine in Dudu’s window. It’s Yahya. What are you doing at my house, she asks? Yahya asks her, why did you tell Elvan about the recording? Dudu laughs, did she go and complain about me to you? Yahya says, yes, she complained about you, and she said she would divorce me in court.

Dudu sets him straight, she will divorce you because you cheated on her. Understand? Don't act like I'm the cause. Yahya yells, hell, it was once! I was only with you once! But when you told her about the audio you blew it! You spoiled it! Dudu is shocked and hurt. Are you serious? You used me? Am I an object for you? Yahya calms down and says, you are not an object, Dudu.

Dudu says, we sinned, Yahya. We agreed in doing so, don't forget that. I'm not the only one to blame so don't keep acting like I’m a cualquiera you slept with and that's it. Yahya says, I’m getting divorced thanks to you. I will pay the price of our mistake. What do you want from me, he asks? I will divorce so that damn recording will not be heard by everyone. However, I cannot get married. I won't get married with someone like you.

Dudu says, what made you think I want to get married Yahya? You would not do that because your dear mother and your brother would never accept me. They'd push you aside, right? [she hit him in his weak spot] Do you think so, he asks? She nods yes. He leaves. She smiles.

They cut the beginning of the next scene. Elvan and Nare are together on the couch. Elvan asks, do you think I can divorce tomorrow? Nare answers, I don’t know, but if I were married, I would divorce tomorrow. Elvan asks if their fight was that bad and Nare says yes.

Sancar calls Nare. Elvan says, he’s calling to make amends. Nare answers coolly, what's up? Sancar says, you asked me to bring Melek, but I want her to stay tonight at the mansion. Nare answers, as you say. Sancar thanks her. It gets awkward nothing else gets discussed. They hang up. Sancar sighs. Nare puts her head on Elvan’s lap.

They cut Sancar snuggling with Melek in bed. She asks if he set the wedding date. He tells her yes, but he looks worried.

Looks like Sancar beat the crap out of Necdet. Ceylan is tending to him. She asks, what did he (Sancar) tell you? Necdet replies, he said I was a good for nothing because I let them hurt Menekse. He said he would break my nose if something happens again. Ceylan says, but it's already broken.

Atike is doing some sort of spell with chickpeas. Ceylan shouts at her to stop. Your witchcraft has condemned us to stay here! There is no way out. Necdet agrees with Ceylan. Ceylan asks, where did you learn witchcraft? How dare you curse Sancar Efe? Now because of you, we are doomed.

Meanie tells Ceylan to shut her mouth or she will rip her head off. Ceylan starts with Meanie, what you did caused this woman (Sahra) to be locked up here. She became a murderer to save you, do you understand? Meanie goes after Ceylan, I will become one, too.

Necdet stops his sister from attacking. Calm down, he tells Meanie, the oils you used didn't work well. Sancar and Nare will be married next week. Meanie is distraught—what? Necdet says it will be a great wedding.

Gediz puts his plan in place to free Sahra. He tells his guys to only take care of the guards. Don’t do anything unnecessary. Is that clear? Gediz calls Sahra. She answers, what's up Mr. Kahraman? Gediz tells her, don't call me that. Are you ready? Because I came to save you.

Sahra goes to her room so she can speak freely. Yes, I am ready. You are my hero, Gediz. He replies, don't be ridiculous. I should abandon you in this place and leave. Sahra mocks, how funny….but tell me, what's the plan? Gediz says, when I ask you, run out the door and go to the other street. I'm going to save you. Sahra gathers her bags and heads for the door.

Gediz’ men play like they are two groups getting into a scuffle in front of Meanie’s house. The guards keep an eye on them.

Ceylan asks Sahra, are you leaving? Of course. Ceylan is alarmed. Sahra tells her don’t make this a drama, or your baby will cry. Ceylan asks if Sahra could take her, she doesn’t feel safe around the Barnacle Family. Sahra takes her aside and tells her, don't be afraid of them. You have to be strong. You have the upper hand, Ceylan. You can kill them if you decide to keep the baby. You have the power--don't forget that, okay? Meanie asks where Sahra is going but she ignores her.

Gediz’ men up the intensity and finally the guards move towards the scuffle. Gediz calls Sahra, run.

She heads off down a side passage and Gediz meets her there. How are you doctor? Where is your car? She points, it’s there. Sahra says, I should kiss you, right? Turn your cheek. She gives him a peck. Gediz is smiling, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay.

Sahra loads her luggage in her car and asks, did you bankrupt the company? Gediz says almost, why? Sahra tells him the wedding is taking place next week. We must hurry. Maybe Nare will marry a rich man or the peasant's son. Gediz replies, Sancar will be left without a wife, Sahra. If you do your job, he will end up single and in prison.

Sahra is confident, I'll do my job, give me five. She puts her hand up. Gediz looks at her and says how crazy and leaves her hanging. Doesn’t bother Sahra, she just smiles and gets in her car. She drives away and a van cuts her off. A couple of thugs pull her out of her car. Let me go, what are you going to do to me? Let go!

They drag her to the van where Kahraman waits.

And we are out.

RgvChick, Diana, Susanlynn, thank you for your kind comments. This was a very fun capítulo to recap.

RgvChick, you and me are both having those "Fatal Attraction" vibes from Karina. Besides her inappropriate comments, she has that crazy look in her eyes. I never expected the wedding planner to ofer those extra services. That was funny.

Diana, I also hope that Yuri has now gotten on Team Alicia after having the foresight to cancel the life she would've been into with Moisés. Let us hope that Diego has truly changed. So far so good but he is still a teenager.

Susanlynn, yes, Julieta is getting a BIG surprise with Sergio revealing who he really is. You apply put it that they are "both spoiled babies. They put themselves first." With nobody willing be second sometimes, the sparks are going continue to fly. Fabián does seem to be one of the good guys with respect to his wife and her potentially tragic situation.

Nina, I hadn't thought about Moisés maybe trying to set up Cholo with regards to an escape. That would be a good plot twist. We see that other inmate listening in on Cholo and Azote and we still do not know what his motives are or who's given him his marching orders.

RgvChick and Diana, count me in with feeling uncomfortable with Martín being so forceful with his agenda. It is bothering me because Alicia has made it very clear that she wants to take things slowly. In this capítulo, she tells him that one day and he pops up with breakfast the next. Is that supposed to be attractive?

It seems that with every outburst, Eva is looking more and more like a woman out of touch with the social mores of the times. Funny how she can be rude to everyone but nobody can be rude with her.

Movie recommndation

I just watched a fantastic mystery movie tonight that made me think of Hitchcock. It is "The Uninvited Guest"/"Contratiempo" a Netflix production from Spain. Very entertaining.

dondi356, thank you so much for the week's worth of recaps and additional info to increase our understanding. I got behind again :-( but I was keeping up with the comments as I watched the episodes.

The first thing that comes to mind is that dress (and accessories) Nare wore on the night the Efe clan showed up to ask for her hand in marriage. I hadn't really looked at it until I read Nina's comment about the boots. Whoever is in charge of costumes has very peculiar taste when it comes to Nare. While the top was lovely, the skirt looked more like a tutu...Had mare not been wearing those hideous boots, I would have expected her to plié.

I had to laugh at Meanie's "baby" moving out of place. I thought for sure Sancar had seen them moving it back in place...too bad he didn't!

Ay! Zehra! You should have done as Sancar said as soon as he said it. Taking her time to get up the courage to remove Gediz's signature privileges might cause them their entire fortune and property. The only hope is that Gediz admitted that he "almost" bankrupt the company.

I don't blame Nare at all for being upset with Sancar. What happened to his threat to Meanie that he would make her feel worse than being in prison after the (non)baby was born. Was he going to torture her and ensure her honor at the same time?

dondi, you once asked who committed the greater sin: Sancar or Miran; and I replied Miran. I am still sticking to that, but despite Miran's bigger sin(s), he is easier to forgive than Sancar. Miran's vengeance and fury was taken out on Reyyan but it was done out of ignorance--ignorance of the truth...and though he won’t say it out loud, he is regretful and trying to make amends. Sancar, OTOH, has been making decisions and hurting Nare because of his value for "tradition" and his maldito pride. Well, he can take that tradition and his pride and stick it where the sun don't shine! He needs to live in the 21st century for gawd's sake!!

Elvan has become my heroine! The woman has Yahya right where she wants him. Woman Power!!

Dondi, thank you thank you for giving us every detail of all the misery and scheming and witchcraft.

Well, we knew that San and Nare's happiness was not going to last. uff ,
San takes the noble high road and hands over another bag o' bills ....this time with a gun included in the deal . Nare witnesses the sad scene and is back to her signature fuming and fussing on her own personal high road . Are these starcrossed lovers destined to never be together? . The one I feel Sorry for is sweet, little Melek whose hopes have been raised and then dashed more often than my suspended disbelief .

At this point, the storylines just keep going around and around .It's frustrating .

Martin needs to stop being so nice and tell Karina in no uncertain terms to butt out of his life! She has definitely crossed the line (checking his bed? Really?) and it's way beyond the "I don't want to hurt her feelings" stage.

Sancar didn’t seem too worried about possible bankruptcy, he’s more worried about Nare.

“Sancar, OTOH, has been making decisions and hurting Nare because of his value for "tradition" and his maldito pride.” Maybe so, but Nare thinks she holds the moral high ground and has her own set of “rules”. Sancar almost died twice because of her stubbornness and stupidity. He laid it out for her: “you did not fall in love with a European man, ambassador’s daughter. You fell in love with Sancar Efe. The rules you speak of come with me.” You don’t marry someone with the hopes that you will change him or her.

I definitely agree: “Elvan has become my heroine! The woman has Yahya right where she wants him. Woman Power!!”

Susanlynn, I feel for Melek, too. Sometimes it’s better for the child if the parents aren’t together. We’ll see.

Has there been any word on airing the remaining episodes?

I think its mostly a Mexican culture thing that you are just not permitted to show disrespect to ELDERS, especially children to grandmas.

Great work, as usual.

Glad to see Yuri taking Alicia's side at last. Also that Alicia understands Yuri canceling the wedding to Moises. That would have been a disastrous marriage a day she deserves better.

Eva is so far out of touch she seems to be living in another century. How many marriages in the past were unhappy until death when divorce didn't happen? How you started out unhappy because the "arrangement" pleased the elders but not the couple? Also, she seems to think that when children are not 1000% obedient and predictable they are "badly raised." To which I say that if every child of every parent since the beginning of the species only ever did what their parents wanted them to do we'd all still be living in caves.

I think we do have a Fatal Attraction situation brewing with Katina and Martin should consider moving. I don't want to see him coming home and finding Nelson dead or injured. Karina has no rights over him no matter their past history and I've seen too many episodes of Deadly Women to rule out this possibility.

The cliffhanger was intense and it would be a good thing if someone were to show up to stop Samuel from killing Gonzalo. However, I think Samuel is crazy like a fox. He is looking for any excuse to kill Gonzalo and later Fedora.

AMOT, that is how it is with elders the world over. I just wish it were not so when the elders are so toxic and destructive. I agree that Eva has gone so over the topic that she is “almost” comic.

Urban, yes! a reference to “Deadly Women” with Candice DeLong! One of my faves! Maybe Karina and Samuel should get together and torment each other. They both seem to want the same thing: to dominate and control their partners.

Alicia should have put her mother out ages ago. I can understand having a parent around for a few months when you've just had a baby, but as a permanent resident it's asking for unwanted interference.

One thing that has been bothering me through all the preceding episodes is that Nicole's bullying has been allowed to continue. While we have not met her parents I bet they are a Karen and a Kevin with major entitlement issues for Nicole to be the way she is.

Someone needs to do an expose on this crap. Martin, is this one on your radar?
