DEJAN Episode 24 Caught Red Handed and Red Faced Part 1

Never underestimate a man’s ability to make you feel guilty for his mistakes - Rhianna

Previously: Julieta places a call to Sergio, feigning despair, imploring that he come at once! Sergio acquiesces, and, at her side, asks what is wrong. Miraculously, Julieta’s expression has morphed from agitated to calm, her face expressionless. Sergio’s question is not answered verbally but physically as an emotionless Alicia emerges from behind a closed door. The harsh realization dawns that as he took the bait of tempting cheese, he is now ensnared in a trap. He frantically looks from one to the other as his brain is likely furiously trying to figure out how to extract himself, appearing to be in total shock.
The evidence that Sergio has betrayed Alicia yet again, is reclining in a hospital bed, eyes fixated on her lover.

Alicia is there to confirm Sergio’s duplicity. Trying to deflect, he doesn’t want to discuss anything as his colleague is there. Alicia stares intently and reminds him he was going to remove Julieta from the program. As he sputters and stutters, Julieta comments that it is odd that he has nothing to say. Alicia then pulls another rabbit out of her hat, the tricked out, red-hot car. Wow, Julieta had no idea that he was giving away cars! Alicia thinks that hurting people and making fools of them excites Sergio. As two sets of eyes bore holes, Sergio is told the only thing he invites is embarrassment.

After Alicia leaves, Julieta asks why he was playing both of them. Sergio, making a monumental understatement, admits he has not handled things well. Alicia is his wife and the mother of his children, but he also loves Julieta who represents beauty, excitement and sex...All of that said, he cannot leave his wife. Julieta chides him for promising her and Alicia a paradise. As his perpetual lies continue, Sergio tells Julieta that it was Alicia who asked him to fire her. Julieta thinks he is pathetic...she prefers to be by herself than live in this circus. Julieta adds that she has dignity and tells him to leave. He doesn’t immediately do so as he degrades and debases himself by more begging.

Alicia is in tears and almost has an accident as she flees the scene. With his usual impeccable timing, Martin calls her and as he hears her sobs, asks where she is and says he will be right there.

We are still subjected to watching Culebra and Enigma in the woods with the two not so lovely ladies. The three glare at Miranda as Culebra insults Miranda and they stalk away.

Yuri receives a call from her dream man. “Senorita are you OK” Cholo asks, his worry and concern plainly evident on his face. She tells him she brought everything to her house. He asks her not to go back to the house and admits he was threatened He asks she stay away but Yuri admits she thinks about him day and night. As the conversation progresses, we see a black skirt reflected in the glass and immediately realize Yuri is not alone. A startled Yuri lies telling Eva she was speaking with a client. Eva (who definitely wasn’t born yesterday) calls Yuri out, admitting she heard the last part of the conversation. Of course she doesn’t care about or ask Yuri and what she might want, but instead advises Yuri to concentrate on her man. Viewerville stares sadly.

Later Miranda runs by as if shot out by a cannon.

Sergio is pounding down shots at a bar as Diablo arrives. After an exchange of “why are you here”, Sergio invites Diablo to join him. Sergio tells Diablo that he is very angry at himself. Sergio says after all, all he has done is to love two women! If he had to come up with a headline it would be “Carranza has been a victim of his ability to love.” Diablo prefers the truer version of “Carranza made a fool of two women and fell into his own trap.” He suggests that Sergio needs to decide whom he loves more.

Martin shows up at Alicia’s car and as she opens the door and alights, envelops her in a hug. Martin tells Alicia that pain always needs company and asks that she tell him what happened. Alicia tells him that she can’t believe that she had actually started to trust Sergio. Martin tells her that if Sergio can’t see what a wonderful, extraordinary woman she is, then he doesn’t deserve her.

Gonzalo takes Lorena to his new workplace. She suggests that he tell his mother but he wants to wait. She then tells him that she is afraid of falling in love with him.

Yuri tries to find out what is wrong with Miranda but Miranda doesn’t think that she will understand. Miranda admits that she likes a guy.

In the player’s lair, Culebra is throwing a fit, smashing a bottle, breaking it on the wall. Culebra thinks Enigma is gay! The guys kid him that Enigma likes him.

Julieta is spilling all the tea to Mabel. Mabel is happy that Julieta and Alicia confronted Sergio!

Alicia confides in Martin, telling him everything that happened. Martin gives Alicia a kerchief for those days that she feels like crying. He asks what she will do so she tells him that she will ask for a divorce.

Lorena and Gonzalo’s relationship is deepening. He tells Lorena that when he is with her he feels different...happy.

Samuel and Fedora are having what starts out as a nice dinner but jealousy raises its ugly head. Samuel doesn’t care to hear about Fedora’s marriages during dinner. Further, he doesn’t want her looking at other men. Fedora dissents and doesn’t think it’s wrong for a woman to look at men. Anger escalating, Samuel still thinks she had something with Gonzalo. She asks him to leave and he furiously wonders if she is going to bring in Gonzalo. When she replies, “And what if I do?” He slaps her hard across the face, the force of the blow causing her to fall to the floor. She rubs her cheek, alarmed and distraught.

Miranda confides to her sister that she has been dressing as a boy and Culebra thinks she (he) is gay. Miranda is staunchly supportive and they seal this revelation with a secret pinky swear.

Carlota gets a call Fedora and tells her she will be right there.

Alicia confides to Martin that she is afraid of being alone at her age. Martin assures her that she is still young, beautiful and intelligent. She is glad that she will at least have one smile per day. He offers to accompany her home and while she demurs, appreciates everything he is doing for her.

Sergio’s very bad day continues to spiral downward. Back at work, who is waiting for him but Lucas! Failing to notice or care that Sergio is already highly agitated (and drunk), Lucas gives him an ultimatum. It’s either Alicia or him! Without skipping a beat, Sergio says it’s her! Steaming, Luas threatens to tell Alicia he is Sergio’s son. He inflames the fire by adding that he can call Alicia his stepmother! At the boiling point, punches are thrown and thankfully, Diablo arrives to break up the fight. Threats are made but the truth of Lucas’ parentage remains buried. For now.

Facundo and Karina talk in the locker room. Karina is waiting for some results that Mujica has no knowledge about. Facundo tells Karina that he is sure Cholo is innocent and someone must be threatening him. He asks that they investigate together...Mujica doesn’t need to know. Karina agrees on one condition – that Martin doesn’t know either. He agrees and they shake.

Carlota arrives at Lorena’s asking if she will report Samuel, but Fedora is afraid.

Martin gifts Sofia with a new computer.

Yuri and Gonzalo arrive home to stare at the inconspicuous 😊 red car. It’s not mine Alicia says and I believe she might have given Gonzalo the keys.

Miranda talks with her one friend, her goldfish. Sitting down at her computer, she stares stonily and eliminates her Enigma avatar.

Fedora does end up filing a domestic violence complaint under Carlota’s approving eye. Fedora is advised to go to the doctor. Carlota assures her she did the right thing and tells Fedora she is not alone.

Chiquis tells Julieta that everyone ones to interview her about the accident. Sergio calls to grovel, but Julieta cuts him off.

Everyone notices that Alicia is upset. Yaya tells her that Miranda is not herself. Miranda will not tell her worried mother anything. Alicia is tired of all the lies and tells Miranda to go downstairs because she has something to tell them.

Sergio gets a visit from Quijada who ominously says he has something to tell him that he will not like.

Yuri, Gonzalo and Miranda gather and we notice Eva’s conspicuous absence. Alicia announces she has life altering news - she has asked their father for a divorce.

And there we end…

Thank you, Diana, for an excellent read this morning That Rhianna quote could not have been better. Here is hoping that Elsa passes quickly through your neck of the woods with minimal problems.

That first scene was so enjoyable watching Sergio squirm in front of the Alicia/Julieta tag team. As Sergio is incapable of making a choice between the two women, it looks like Alicia is going to do it for him. Btw, as Sergio is getting dressed down, we can see the nerves twitching in Alexis Ayala’s cheeks. You simply cannot beat that. What an actor!

So when are Alicia and Martín going to switch to “tú”? I had to laugh that he still carried a real handkerchief that he could conveniently lend out to Alicia and that he told her he wasn’t like other men of his age.

Time for Fedora to change the locks. Somehow I think Samuel has a key.

Yes, Alicia gave the new car to Gonzo. The kid is lucking out with a job, a girl and a new flashy set of wheels. Sounds about right for a guy his age. Now if he can just drop the Mrs.Robinson infatuation.

It was surprising that Lucas was so upset with Sergio’s threat that he told his mother that he threatened to kill him. Fabián also heard the threat. Hmmm . . Will this come back to bite Sergio later? Would Lucas go to the police? Will he have some kind of innocent “accident” ending his life?

Good. Only one cliffhanger for tonight.

Mind blowing that Sergio thinks he can still have it all. And I am going to have to watch for Alexis' twitch. There is Nothing you do not see. As much as I love my telenovio Eduardo Yanez who I believe was originally cast, Alexis IS Sergio. Amazing.

As Sergio's fortunes have crashed, Gonzalo's have skyrocketed "with a job, a girl and a new flashy set of wheels". Perfect!

Very interesting theory about Lucas which seems very probable.

I fear Fedora hasn't seen the last of Samuel.

Eva will not be happy about missing the big announcement. I'm sure she will rush to pour cold water on Alicia's burning desire to shed her errant husband.

Diana, you wove a brilliant story from all the mayhem, thank you! And I agree, that quote from Rhianna is perfect, as is the title.

Alexis Ayala has always been such a good antagonist; he always makes us hate him. I need to watch for the twitch too.

I totally missed that Gonzo got the car, thank you Jarifa! And yes, he does need to drop the Mrs. Robinson act. He may end up with some broken bones if he doesn't.

Well, we knew physical abuse was next for Fedora, but I'm so glad that the writers had her report it right away. Fedora normally opens the door for Samuel, but it would not surprise me if he did somehow get a copy of it.

I'm glad that Facundo is teaming up with Karina, but Karina better watch her back. If they are careful and persistent, they'll not only get Simon's real murderer, but they'll bring down Mujica too.

Miranda finally opened up to big sis... that's promising.

TU AMOR ep 52 part 1

Beba tells Yolanda that stealing a jewel from Camila at fashion week is not as easy as it seems. You only have to get near her in the middle of the confusion, Yolanda tells her. I don't know, congratulate her, ask her something, you know, whatever is most convenient. You have to be careful with the jewelers and the security people. They never lose sight of the jewels they lend to the models. And yes Beba, if something goes wrong, the only one reponsible is going to be you. Don't worry Yolanda, if I did so well at Customs this is going to be a piece of cake. Marvelous, because if something goes wrong you'll have to assume the consequences and I won't be able to help you. Don't let me down. We can't lose the opportunity to give a hard blow to Helena Vargas.

Camila is in the dressing room getting ready, and her scar is only slightly visible through her makeup. You look beautiful, Helena says, and with this dress, Spectacular! Valentina says she likes the hairstyle (which falls to the side of her face). Helena tells Camila that she's always been a great model and she's done this many times. Don't let anything spoil your concentration. Look straight ahead, and forget everything else, and when you reach the end of the catwalk... Turn, with my hand at my waist!, Cami demonstrates. Exactly! You look precious. You don't know how much I'd like it if Ricardo could see me like this, Cami says. You know, so that he'd notice me. Oh, pardon me for saying that. It's OK, Valentina says, but you don't have to fix yourself in order to please a man.

Señor Olmedo's representative shows up to the dressing room and introduces himself to Helena. He's brought some jewelry pieces for the model Camila Casanova. Shall we proceed to place them? Please, says Helena. Wow, he opens a box with a necklace and a bracelet loaded with diamonds. He tells Helena that it's an honor to have their jewels worn with some of her designs.

Claudio is having coffee with Consuelo in her kitchen and tells her about getting married to Valentina when she returns from her trip. Connie congratulates him and gives him a big hug. He asks for her help in getting everything ready. Let me think about it, she teases. Count on me, she says, what is it that you want? Let me write it down so I don't forget it.

The show is about to begin and Valentina tells Majo how much she wishes her father could be there. That he knew that she didn't give up and that she's fulfilling what she's dreamed so much about. Obviously he'd be very proud of you, says Majo, and I'm super sure you're going to accomplish much more.
 

TU AMOR ep 52 part 2

Leonardo bursts into the cutting room at Helena's and asks Rocío, the head seamstress, who authorized the design she's working on. I did, she says, it's the dress Helena did for the photo session at the interview. This is appalling, he says, picking up the dress and throwing it back down. If we present this, it's never going to be approved. She steps up to him and says, Excuse me Leonardo, but I'm only following Helena's instructions. She designed this garment. Take it down three levels Rocío, you're not going to talk to me like that, Leonardo threatens. In this business you have to have your own standards but I see that's not one of your qualities. How unfair you are, Rocío says, as Claudio walks in. Problems?, he asks. Yes, labor problems as always, Leo says. Watch what you say, replies Claudio. I need you in my office. Go. Is everything all right?, he asks Rocío. We'll talk later.

In his office, Claudio wants to know about the video from Customs and why Leonardo doesn't have it yet. Leo says he's tried calling and it's still not authorized. He'll call again, but Helena has already made substitutions. It's not about that, says Claudio, it's about finding out who stole the lace. It's not going to show anything, Leo insists. I want that video here before Helena gets back, Claudio insists, is that clear?

Nora is having breakfast with Adelaida and going on about her weight and how careful she has to be as a model. Adelaida changes the subject by saying they're going to the orphanage. I'd love to go, Nora says, but I have to be at work. Your father knows about it. You have to learn how to manage the foundation. I'm so glad you're here, sister tells Nora when she visits the orphanage. Here we give the children food, education, and care, but what they really need is a caring home. We organize bazaars and sell used clothing to raise money. I'm going to tell my father to donate more, Nora says. Please don't, sister asks, he's already given so much.

Consuelo, Horacio, Mina, and her little friend Cesarín are working on a puzzle at Connie's. Hector comes in and Mina introduces her friend. They want to play ball but he doesn't have a glove. Horacio says that Claudio can get him one. He sponsors a team. The kids go out to play and Leonardo shows up. Consuelo asks him if he's heard anything from his sister. Do I look like a fortune teller?, he asks. Hestor is the one who should know. His girlfriend is the star designer. Yolanda Pratas is one of the judges. And why not, asks Leonardo. We have to recognize that she's a great designer. But she hates Helena, says Connie, and I won't permit her to do something bad to my Camila. You're not going to permit it?, Leo says, seriously, sometimes you say things... Don't talk to mom like that, says Hector. If Helena is as good as you say, what are you worried about?, Leo asks. That's why I don't like coming to this house. Everything is drama. Well don't come, says Hector.
 

TU AMOR ep 52 part 3

The fashion show starts and Helena looks hopeful as the various models show off the designs. When Camila comes out, Helena beams a huge smile and gives Valentina a hug. At the judges table, Yolanda says she doesn't like it very much. Those flowers are out of fashion. She likes the plain green one from the spanish designer. At the end of the show there is a tie between two designers. Cayetana of Spain and Helena Vargas of Mexico. As the qualifying guest judge, Yolanda has the deciding vote. She looks over to Beba who makes the slice at the neck gesture with her hand. Yolanda gets to read the results at the awards ceremony. She says she would have loved to participate on the runway with some of her exclusive designs but was chosen as a judge. And the winner is...Cayetana de Alba. Felicidades! Beba goes up to Camila to congratulate her. She says she did super well and the design is devine. Yolanda liked Cayetana's more though but what can we do? She gives Camila a hug and turns to leave.

In Consuelo's yard Hector is all over Leonardo. You talk to my mother like that and I'll bust your teeth, he says. You're the same naco as always, Leo says, and you can't criticize me. I'll talk to mom however I like. You have no right to talk to mother like that, Hector says, and naco or not, I'm loyal to my family. Not like you. You should be grateful. She gave you everything. Don't touch me, says Leo, and what she gave me wasn't enough. That's why I left this filthy barrio. I was tired of this mediocre family. It's the only family you have, Hector says, have you forgotten how many times mom has helped you? That I helped you? You haven't helped me, Leo responds, poor imbecile, and if you gave me what you gave me it's because you felt like it. You live in misery because you're a poor, mediocre, conformist and cab driver. I'm not mediocre, says Hector. I was willing to sacrifice a lot. I don't see what Helena sees in you. You're a poor pig that in order to succeed... In a flash Leo is on the ground and Hector is about to smash his face. Mina comes out of the house and stops him. Leo asks for his mother's blessing and leaves. Hector promises Mina not to fight with Leonardo again.

The jewelry rep removes Camila's necklace and asks for the bracelet. Cami realizes that she doesn't have it on. What happened Cami?, Beba asks. I just saw the bracelet on the runway. It can't be lost, Helena says, I checked her before she went out. Maybe it fell on the runway, says Camila. I have my people looking for it, says a guy with a security badge. I just hope nobody found it and stole it. How could it have fallen?, the jeweler asks. It's impossible. You wore the bracelet and you have to give it back, the security guy tells Camila. Are you trying to intimidate her?, Helena asks. For God's sake Helena, says Beba, what did you expect? A very expensive bracelet has disappeared. Don't get nervous Cami, just remember what you did, because if you don't well...You shut up, says Valentina. What are you doing here? This isn't your affair. Anyone could have found that bracelet, for example you. You're an expert in those things, no? We all saw you on the runway wearing the bracelet, Beba tells Cami.

Claudio goes to Guillermo's house in order to see Ricardo. He wants him to stop trying to see Valentina. Ricardo taunts him about how much she was in love with him but Claudio doesn't react. She can expect a future with me, he says. That's something you can't give her.
 

TU AMOR ep 52 part 4

Humberto and Enrique are at the office when a call comes in from Cibernético. Enrique asks Humberto to leave and close the door. Cibernético hasn't called because he can't get in. You need to keep trying, says Enrique. Have a little patience, says Ciber. I need Guillermo's information ASAP, says Enrique. I hope the next time you call me it's to give me good news.

Yolanda is in her hotel room in a spooky black dress talking on the phone. You should have seen Helena's face when she lost, she says. I'm sure she was inconsolable. That makes me really happy, says Patricia, on the other end of the call. If I would have gone with you to Madrid we'd be having a great time. Well, I'm sure that you're not wasting any time, Yolanda says. Of course not, says Pat, I never lose sight of my objectives. I won't rest until I recover what is mine. Also, I'm going to have Hector's love. Get ready for the surprise I have in store for Helena, says Yolanda. If she thinks it's bad now, something much worse is coming. I like that madrina, says Pat. When you get back, let me know. We have a lot to do.

Adelaida asks Nora if she knows what they should be doing now. Going shopping?, asks Nora. No, looking for schools for you to finish your education. Tell me, up to what year did you study? I don't know, Nora says, third? second? No, first year of prepa. Something like that. All the Vargas' have university degrees, Adelaida tells her. I have a degree in art history. Your father has degrees and is an engineer. He has two masters and a doctorate. If you want to impress him you should start by finishing your prepa and then have a nice career. But I have a career, says Nora, I'm a model. Not everyone gets to my level. Well, I think you should talk to your father, Adelaida says. I don't think he will agree.

Rosa Maria is telling Guillermo that, with the experimental treatment he may avoid a transplant, but he has to avoid stress. She says she feels he's a good person and will do everything she can to help him. He asks if she has someone in her life. Yes, he's a lawyer and accountant but he's engaged to someone else. She loves lost causes but it's healthy to know when to give up. He says he doesn't know how he can ever pay her back if she's able to give him a little more time with his daughter. He has to go but hopes to see her tomorrow. Maybe she can persuade one of her patients to give up their appointment. Why doesn't she ask her assistant? Rosa Maria calls in Samara to ask if an appointment is available for twelve tomorrow. Yes, Samara replies, and Señor Vargas has reserved the following three hours as well. RM laughs when Guillermo says he did it so that she'd have a coffee with him. What a cheater she says and laughs.

 

TU AMOR ep 52 part 5

Adelaida meets Ricardo in the yard. He tells her that Claudio was there asking him to stop seeing Valentina. Adelaida says that Claudio is right. There are plenty of other women for him. His obsession is something that is eating away at his soul.

Helena and Camila are going to have to go with the police. Helena asks only that they are discreet. The press is outside. We'll go this way then, the officer says. No, no, no, don't touch me, don't touch me. Let go of me, Camila pleads. Everyone looks shocked as she and Helena are taken away.
 

TU AMOR. Thank you for another excellent recap, JoelD! Given that Beba had already tried to frame Val for theft of jewels from Yolanda's taller, and that she had just "hugged" Camila, I'm surprised that Val and Helena et al, didn't immediately suspect her of the bracelet theft. Hmm. Writers? Good, Valentina! A woman shouldn't have to fix herself just to please a man. Why is Leonardo inserting himself into the design part of the business? Is he trying to wreck it too? And bullying Rocio! Disgusting! How long before Claudio discovers that Leo hasn't been trying to get the customs video? I don't see Nora managing an orphanage foundation--a complete lack of enthusiasm. Duh! Of course Yolando voted against Helena's design! (Though I did think the dress design was a little busy.) Leo is such a creepy ingrate! And I was a bit surprised that Nora was at least on track for a university, given that she had at least completed a year of prepa--which evidently lasts 3 years as the very last part of a secondary education.
 

Embajador S2 #31 part 1

A devastated Elvan sits and ruminates on a corner near Nare’s house. There’s a group of young boys kicking a soccer ball around in front of the house. The ball rolls over to where Elvan is sitting. They call to her, abla, can you pass the ball to us? She’s oblivious. One of the boys goes over. Abla, are you okay, he asks, what are you doing sitting here? She flatly answers, nothing, I’m just observing my loneliness.

Elvan’s phone rings. It’s Gulsiye and she’s worried, what are you doing? Where did you go? We see a taxi pull up to the house and Dudu gets out. She knocks at the gate. Elvan tells Gulsiye, [Turkish] I'm busy. There is a wound that needs to be closed. We see Yahya answer the door and pull Dudu inside. Elvan continues, let it bleed, let it hurt, but let it end. Gulsiye is scared and asks, what are you talking about? She thinks Elvan is talking about Sancar. How is he, she asks? Elvan hangs up on her.

Elvan gets up and walks to the gate. She takes out the key and turns it in the lock. She watches Yahya and Dudu in the yard from the doorway.

Yahya says, I didn't know that my mother had looked for you. Dudu is very upset, yes, of course. What a nice life you have. First you enjoy me and then you ask your mother to end our relationship. Wow. Yahya tells her, I would never do something like that. But it doesn't matter. Leave me if you want, I'm not going to beg you. You warned me you would tell Elvan if I didn't vote for Gediz, and I did. What else do you want from me?

Dudu tells him what she wants. Understand one thing, Yahya. I'm not the type of woman you use and throw away later. Yahya answers back, and I'm not the type of man to get divorced for making a mistake. We see a slight smile on Elvan’s face.

Dudu goes to slap Yahya but he grabs her arm and says, I didn't make you do anything. I never lied to you, you knew I was married, and if I kiss you now ... they get awful close… Elvan shuts the door. Uh, oh. What was that? Yahya runs to check. He exits the gate and sees a group of boys on the corner near the house. He goes back inside. The boys were surrounding Elvan so she wouldn’t be seen. A boy tells her, it’s okay, he went back into the house.

Halise is in a taxi. She talks to herself, this is not possible. I need my son safe and sound. The taxi pulls up to the shack and there’s a lot of police activity. She gasps. The taxi barely stops before Halise jumps out. She runs from officer to officer asking, where is my son? Have you seen Sancar, officer? Have you seen him? A tall man with dark eyes. Where is my son? She is frantic.

The traitor Gediz drives up. He’s surprised, Halise teyze? Halise runs to him, where is my son, Gediz? Where is my son? Gediz asks, what are you doing here? Is it true, she asks, that Sancar fell off the cliff because of Akin? Tell me the truth!

Gediz tells her it's true, but he's still alive, don’t worry. Halise asks, he survived? Gediz confirms, yes, although he is in serious condition. Halise wants more info. Gediz pulls her out of earshot of the police. He explains, they tried to help him here, but Nare took him to protect him from the police. Halise says, Kahraman ... I need to see Kahraman. I will offer him anything to change his statement--

Gediz informs her that Kman already changed his statement. Halise asks, so why do they keep looking for Sancar? Gediz delivers the bad news, Sancar murdered Akin, that's why. Halise gasps and faints.

Guven is hanging around the search site. The inspector asks an officer, does that man plan to be here all the time? The officer answers, it’s authorized. He will identify the body, that's why he's here. That’s if we find it.

Embajador S2 #31 part 2

Guven sits, pulls out a paper and reads. It’s Akin’s will: “I am Akin Baydar and in this document, I have authorized all available money to be transferred in my bank accounts and my properties to Ms. Nare Celebi.” Guven is licking his chops. A dog has found something at the site. A grave? They start digging and Guven runs off.

Gediz is tending to Halise in the shack. He brings her around with some cologne. Guven rushes in, they found the grave. They will excavate. Halise asks, grave? Gediz tells her he will go see. We need to be aware of everything that happens, he says, in order to help Sancar. [lying traitorous bastard!] Halise thanks him for protecting Sancar even though they are enemies. [I thought she was smarter than this]

Halise stops Guven. Are you happy, she asks? [Turkish] This legend was the end of my son and your daughter. Guven scoffs, speak for yourself. You have ruined my daughter’s youth (?!) But things will be different now. Akin left his money and property to Nare. When Akin’s corpse is pulled from that grave, your son will go to prison and my daughter will become rich. Guven smiles smugly and there’s a guilty look from Gediz.

Halise approaches Guven, my son will be locked up in jail and your daughter will enjoy money and luxuries, right? What a shame, she tells him, I know your daughter better than you do. Halise gives him a slight punch in the shoulder and continues, she will not accept Akin’s money. Guven replies, you are wrong. Believe me, you will have to accept it. Just wait and you'll see.

Meanie takes Ceylan up to her room and warns her, when the doctor is here, don't mention that Akin may have run away or that Sancar could have killed him. Understand? Keep quiet until I find a way to tell the real story. I need to convince the doctor to help us even though Akin is no longer here. Ceylan says she gets it—I shut up and you talk.

The doorbell. Meanie lets Sahra in and introduces her to the family and says Ceylan will come down soon. They start to talk details. Sahra says she knows Ceylan is pregnant, right? Meanie tells her, I would be three and a half months pregnant if I hadn't lost my baby. Sahra says Meanie needs to fake it better, her stomach is very flat.

That shouldn’t be a problem, but Meanie has something else on her mind. Ceylan comes down and eavesdrops from the stairs. I should give birth a few months before Celyan, Meanie says, and if we wait for Ceylan, it will be too late. No one will believe it. How do we explain that? Sahra replies, we will wait. The baby will be born at seven months.

Ceylan comes down shouting, I will not give birth at seven months! Meanie tries to calm her. Ceylan, she knows what she's doing, she's a gynecologist. If that would hurt the baby, she wouldn't have suggested it. Isn't that true, doctor? Sahra sets them straight, no, I am not a gynecologist. I am a surgeon, but the c section is very easy to do compared to other surgeries.

Ceylan is very upset. I don't want this woman here! Ceylan points to Sahra, what kind of doctor is she? Atike is checking her out now, too. Ceylan shouts, what are you waiting for? Go away! Go away! We have hired someone else!

Celyan proceeds to do what Meanie cautioned her against. She shouts, Akin has not been found, surely because Sancar threw him off the cliff. Rest assured, Akin died. Sahra is alarmed. Meanie is ticked. Sahra asks, did he die? Necdet pipes up, I notice you are quite surprised. Were you lovers? Sahra is concerned.

Sahra steps outside to make another call to Akin. Not available, leave a message: “Akin, look, if this is one of your jokes ... you sent me your location, but you decide not to answer the phone. And some people say that you are dead. Akin, what's up? Call me please.

Embajador S2 #31 part 3

The cops are digging, and they come up empty. Guven worries, if we don't locate the body, Nare will not inherit the money and Sancar will not go to prison. Something is found in the hole. The inspector says, Gediz, they left you a letter.

Gediz reads and it’s Kavruk’s voice we hear: [Turkish] Love hits you in the heart and a friend stabs you in the back. The heart will heal but the back will always bleed.

The ambulance with Sancar waits near the hospital. Kavruk and Nare pace back and forth. There’s a call and Nedim hands over the phone. It’s Kavruk’s police contact, Cevdet, calling with good news. The arrest warrant has been suspended. Kavruk is happy but Cevdet warns, the inspector won't give up. If there is a body, he will find it eventually. Kavruk claims, no, of course not! No! There is no body. Thank you, friend, thank you! Kavruk tells Nare Sancar is no longer a man on the run. They laugh and hug.

Nare shares this news with Sancar. You’re free, now you just need to recover. Sancar just smiles at her…. Narem…. Say my name again. Ay, Sancar…. Sancar is wheeled into the hospital and settled into a bed. Nare asks him if he is in pain. Only a little, he answers, but the worst thing is that I won't be able to hug you for a while. What will we do? [I’m trying not to laugh at the casts on his arms.]

Nare says, I can hug you. And she does and gives him little kisses, too. She rests her head on his chest. Sancar smiles, do you think that a person should be so thankful he has so many fractures? They laugh. [Turkish] Nare says better not to be so thankful, as you get better, we will quarrel. Then it will get difficult for you without hugs.

Sancar says, I was wondering when you would mention this. Nare lifts her head and replies, I won't mention it until you recover. I'll forget about everything until you're okay. I'll forget that you lied to me, I'll forget that you took Akin to the mountain and I'll forget that you wouldn't be here if I hadn't untied Akin. He tries to interrupt but she continues, I won't blame you or me until you heal, okay? Sancar hopes it will happen. Nare is sure it will. I know that you will improve, she tells him.

The doctor comes in and explains that there are fractures in Sancar’s spine, and an operation will be required. But first he needs to check Sancar’s reactions. The doctor asks Sancar to tell him what he feels. If it’s nothing, say "zero", and if something say “ten". Sancar says alright. He looks at Nare and tries to be brave, but he looks scared.

The doctor does his thing, but Sancar says nothing. Finally, Nare asks, Sancar, do you feel anything? Sancar is stunned. He did it already? Sancar feels nothing, it’s a zero. The doctor tries several more times and it’s all zeroes. Not good.

Kavruk is waiting outside the hospital. Nare comes out. She catches her breath. She asks Kavruk, Nedim is coming with the car, right? I should go to the mansion to talk to them.

Kavruk asks what the doctor said. They sit. Nare sighs and tells Kavruk, the doctor says ... he can’t perform a surgery like this without help. It is very high risk. So a doctor who specializes in this type of surgery is on the way from Istanbul and they will do it today. Nare starts to cry.

Kavruk tries to keep himself together. You have suffered a lot, he tells Nare, and hard times come, but you two have always overcome any obstacle. Do not cry anymore, Sancar will be angry. Nare tells Kavruk he is right. But Sancar was always the one to comfort me and say that everything was fine… but now he's— Kavruk replies, you didn't want to cry alone, I figured it out. You decided to make Kavruk cry too.

So they both cry together. Nare says, we will cry with pain and joy, but always together. Kavruk says he will let his tears flow. Nare encourages him to do it, because when Sancar leaves the operating room, we won't cry in front of him for a long time. Kavruk asks, he is going to recover, right? Nare says they will help him recover. We have to be very strong. He will need us. Kavruk agrees. They hold on to each other and cry a bit more.

Nedim pulls up with the car. Nare gets up to go. Kavruk says, alaca kuş, I’ll stay with Efem. She tells him to wash his face first, don’t let him see you were crying. On her way to the car, Nare almost crosses paths with Dra. Prepago, who enters the hospital.

Sahra pays a visit to Kman. She introduces herself, I am Doctor Sahra. Kman replies, nice to meet you and he looks puzzled [who is this floozy?] Did they change doctors? Sahra answers, no, I'm not your doctor, but you can be my medicine. Now Kman is really puzzled, what are you talking about?

Sahra says, Ceylan just told me that Sancar Efeoglu took Akin’s life and buried him somewhere. Kman asks, and who are you? Sahra responds, Akin is my brother. A nurse comes in and interrupts the convo.

Nare gets a call from her father. She asks, how did you get this number? Gediz gave it to me, he replies. She snarks, I didn't know you were friends. What do you need from me? I want to see you, Guven answers. Nare has no interest in seeing him again. Guven says, please, it is important. She asks, what do you want? He tells her they must talk about Akin’s inheritance. Nare is ticked, I told you years ago, that I’m not interested in that bastard's money.

Guven entreats, Nare, we are talking about an amount that exceeds 100 million dollars. Are you really going to reject those millions? Nare threatens to hang up. Guven asks if she is that foolish. You have buried a body with a value of 100 million, for the son of a peasant. Is that what you want?

Nare answers, yes, exactly. The one who gave his life for me was a peasant. You say that I buried a body, but I have no idea what you mean. This is nonsense and you’ve gone crazy. Do not call me again! Guven continues to press, they will find the body and you will accept the money! She hangs up on her father. Yeah, Guven’s pissed he might miss out on a payday.

Kman and Sahra continue their convo. Kman is shocked, what - are you his sister? Wasn't Akin an only child? His parents passed away and Mr. Guven took care of him. Sahra says that’s a lie. Akin's father was a bastard. He had an affair with his secretary, and he fired her when she got pregnant. And unfortunately, she passed away. [in the original she says she grew up illegitimate.] Those were very complicated years. I grew up and decided to search for my brother. That's the story.

Kman relates he has a similar story to hers, [a sister] but my relative did not look for me. She disappeared. Sahra says, then we have a lot in common. Let's talk about our traumas together.

Kman agrees. Sahra says she spoke to Akin last week and today he sent me a location. How can it be possible? They say he's dead, right? Maybe someone else sent me that message? Kman asks, tell me something, what would you do his killer? Sahra just wants to know if her brother is alive or dead.

Kman tells her, well, I saw Akin at the edge of a cliff. Then Sancar came and shot me. He told me to say hello to Akin in hell, that he would send him to me, and I think he did. But he hid the body to avoid being caught. Maybe Sancar sent the messages, he says to Sahra. I don't know, nor will you know. Kman is very curious. He asks Sahra, [Turkish] if you have half the madness as your brother, you will make Sancar pay for this. Right, doctor?

Melek and Gulsiye enter the hammam. Elvan is sitting there with her head in her hands. How long have you been sitting there, Melek asks? Gulsiye looks very concerned. Since you didn't come out, I decided to come in with Melek. Elvan stays silent and just stares. Gulsiye asks if she wants a massage. Elvan stays silent. She is very depressed. Nothing like her usual self. Gulsiye sends Melek to go look for her shampoo.

Gulsiye worries, please, you came home and you locked yourself in here. You haven't told us anything. She asks Elvan, did something happen to Sancar? Is that why you are depressed? Elvan finally speaks, no. I'm not depressed. Gulsiye tells her, Elvan, you need to smile. Melek will think that something happened to her father if you don't smile. I'm worried about you, I'm not used to seeing you so down.

Elvan replies, you are not used to it, right, Gulsiye? Elvan smiles and laughs loudly, but she's burning inside. Gulsiye says, the fire inside you has taken away your smile. Please tell me what's up. Elvan claims she doesn’t know what Gulsiye is talking about.

Melek comes rushing back in. My grandmother and Zehra are crying! Why are they crying, Gulsiye asks? Ayse comes in, too, and says, I have no idea. When I opened the door, Mrs. Halise was crying on Gediz’ shoulder. Zehra is crying too. Come see. Elvan comes out of her fog. She tells Ayse to stay here with Melek. Gulsiye and Elvan leave to get dressed.

Nare arrives at the mansion and takes note of Gediz’ car.

Elvan runs over to Zehra and Halise who are wailing away on the couch. The traitor Gediz is sitting in a chair nearby. What happened, Elvan asks? Melek comes into the room. Zehra sobs, my….brother threw Akin off the cliff and he fell, too. He’s in a very delicate state. Elvan shoots a look at Gediz. Zehra and Halise continue to cry.

Melek calls out, do you know, too? She rushes to her grandma and aunt. She takes their hands and tells them, yes my father fell, but luckily he survived. My mother said that he will be fine. Melek wipes Halise’s face. Don't cry anymore, please, grandma. Melek gives Zehra a kiss on the head and a hug, don't worry about him. My father will be fine. Halise hugs Melek, my beautiful granddaughter. Your heart is noble and huge. Did you know the truth and decide to hide it so as not to hurt us?

Nare comes in and gives Gediz a dirty look. Melek runs to her mother. She tells her, my grandmother and Zehra know about my father, but I swear I didn't tell them. Nare looks at Gediz and replies, I can imagine who told them. Halise asks Nare, please tell me that he is well. Please tell me my son is okay.

Nare calms them down. She explains, Sancar is fine. I was coming to give you the good news. Sancar is no longer a fugitive from the law. She looks at Gediz, he’s free. She continues, he’s in the hospital and will be treated by the best doctors. A surgeon is coming from Istanbul to assist. Everyone is hopeful.

Halise thanks Nare. What good news, my son is safe. Melek asks, so my father is going to be okay? Nare answers, that's right, my love. Melek shouts, that's great! She gives her mom a hug. Nare gives Elvan a hug, too. [she really needs one] Gediz has a smirk and Nare gives him another dirty look.

And we are out.

I knew we would soon see Fedora get hit. This is where her story had been going. I would not doubt that Gonzalo will be involved somehow, but he needs to get away from Mrs Robinson. At least she isn't Lorena's mother. That would be beyond unforgivable.

So now Gonzalo will have that red car. I like this and hope SerJerk paid cash for it so it's a done deal. That was the best thing Alicia could have done with it in view of SerJerk's treatment of him. His death threat against Lucas is one more alarming thing about this narcissistic father. He deserved even more than Alicia dished out at him in the hospital room and it was fun to see him squirm. So will Julieta do a 180 and reform herself? I have my doubts but it would serve SerJerk right.

Nothing new to say about Yuri or Miranda.

The writers seem to be free falling and just throwing stuff out there. Did they have an outline, a p!an of how this all would play out ? It has become so sad, depressing, and bizarre . Everyone is suffering ...including me. All shadows now. Necdet seems to be the only happy person ....sitting and eating IN his news house from deepocketed San...dreams do come true. Uff

Spanprof, I agree everyone should have suspected Beba right away. They were probably too shocked to think straight. Beba's dark glasses fell down momentarily at the Census during her lace theft. Her face was revealed for a second. If Claudio can get the security video, she's in big trouble. Yolanda made a point about not helping her if she gets caught too. I'm sick of Leonardo. I wanted him to get punched in the face so badly. He needs to go to jail or at least be fired again. Consuelo will probably cry a river of tears when it happens but he's hurt his sister more than once.

JoelD, your sharp eye and writing flair brought this vividly to life in living color.

Indeed, if I had a front row seat at the fashion show, I could not have visualized this any clearer than your amazing: “Don't let anything spoil your concentration. Look straight ahead, and forget everything else, and when you reach the end of the catwalk... Turn, with my hand at my waist!” You not only made us see, but feel the excitement. The drama.

Leo’s tirade against Consuelo who loves him unconditionally was hard to watch: “…what she gave me wasn't enough. That's why I left this filthy barrio. I was tired of this mediocre family”. If Leo’s abhorrent character were not already painfully clear, it certainly is now. What is most heartbreaking is Consuelo continually trying to love her son, to make excuses. It is said that a mother gravitates to the child who needs her the most, who is the most troubled. That surely is the case here.

Of course I’m sorry Helena lost but if I’m being honest, I did like the green gown better…

Beba has a real future as a pick pocket. To be able to steal the bracelet without Cami being aware, in a room full of people, half of whom were watching Cami like a hawk takes nerves of steel. And yet she does this for Yolanda who has made it clear if she gets caught she is on her own.

Anyone else completely frustrated that Claudio doesn’t try to track down the video of Beba stealing the lace himself???

“I don't see Nora managing an orphanage foundation--a complete lack of enthusiasm” was spot on SpanProf. Neither do I! Working in any capacity, seeking an education and especially running an orphanage are things I do not foresee in Nora’s future. Daddy will soon get a clue that all she wants is to walk the catwalk and spend money that isn’t hers.

Yolanda must be delighted as not only is she further wounding Helena, but also Camila, Consuelo’s daughter. Such plotting, planning and cruelty must be exhausting.

I think I like Nare and Sancar better when there's some tension between them. Too much lovey dovey doesn't suit them.

Gediz gets more deplorable with every episode. I cannot stand to look at him especially that smirk when he THINKS he’s got the upper hand. I was SO hoping Nare would kick him out of the house as soon as she arrived at the house; instead she just gave him those dirty looks which didn’t seem to phase him at all. Yep, a beat down for him would be really good.!

I too feel so sad for Elvan. I noticed that sight smile she gave when she overheard Yahya tell Dudu that he was not about to get a divorce; I’m hoping she doesn’t forgive Yahya.

And dondi356, you’re right about Nare and Sancar, their lovi-doviness just is doing anything for me...maybe because I’m used to seeing them always at odds.

Kman must have a death wish; he still hasn’t learned that plotting against Sancar gets him in deeper doodoo than he’s already in.

I’m wondering who it was that sent Sahra that message that she received supposedly from Akin AFTER he was killed. The only one who could possibly know of her existence would be Guven. I’m sure we’ll find out, hopefully sooner that later.

SI NOS DEJAN #26 Part 1

Quijada has just told Sergio that Alicia wants a quick and peaceful divorce. Sergio cannot believe it and tells his lawyer that if she wants a divorce she can get her own lawyer and pay for it herself. Quijada warns him that starting out fighting is the worst thing in a divorce. Sergio doesn’t care. If she wants a divorce, he is going to make it so hard she will be sorry she ever wanted one.

At the house, Alicia is trying to explain to her three children why she has chosen to divorce their father. Alicia tried to believe that he was sorry, to give him another chance for everyone’s sake. Miranda asks why out of no where does she want a divorce then. Gonzo brings up Julieta. Yuri reminds them that their father said he was no longer seeing her. Alicia has to tell them that he has continued seeing her all this time and she just came from seeing them together. Gonzo is not surprised. Alicia is sorry but the only thing left is to get a divorce. Eva comes in wondering about what she just heard.

A suddenly sensitive but still shocked Sergio is telling Fabián he cannot believe that Alicia would stab him in the back this way. She told him via his own lawyer. It was so impersonal even violent. Fabián thinks he must have known that sooner or later it was going to blow up and it isn’t that bad because he has Julieta. Sergio admits that Julieta wants nothing to do with him. Sergio does’t know what to do.He doesn’t even feel like doing his own show today. He lost his family.

Eva is expressing her disbelief that Alicia is filing for divorce. Alicia says she has talked to Quijada and she is asking for all of their respect and acceptance. Eva sees her decision as selfish. Alicia asks why she shouldn’t be a little selfish when it comes to her own dignity and self-love. Sergio has disrespected her for three years. If she doesn’t get her self-esteem back now, she never will. Gonzo agrees with her. Alicia still loves their father but just cannot take it anymore. She doesn't want them to live in this lie either. Eva finally says she understands.

Julieta is back at home and tells Mabel that she is really sad that Sergio tried to get Alicia to forgive him behind her back. Mabel sees him as a pathological liar and doesn’t understand how Julieta could still be in love with him. Mabel feels for Alicia, too, after not three but thirty years. Julieta makes it clear that she, not Alicia, needs Mabel’s support. Julieta predicts that things are going to turn out exactly like she wants them to. Mabel decides to withhold her congratulations until that actually happens.




 

DEJAN #25 not #26 Part 2

Fedora and Carlota are at the Ministerio Público so Fedora can file her complaint against Samuel. Fedora cannot believe that Samuel could have fooled her. Carlota informs her that is how abusers are so dangerous.. They are always on their best behavior at first and only show their real selves later. Fedora isn’t sure she should be filing a complaint. She is worried Samuel will get worse when he finds out. Carlota explains they are there to protect her. Nine women die every day in Mexico from domestic violence. They call Fedora to make her complaint. Karina sees Carlota and asks why she is there.

Martín is eating with Sofía who expresses again how much she misses the three of them living together. She asks him not to fall in love with another woman.

Eva brings Alicia some warm milk with vanilla just like she used to do when she was a little girl. Eva says she understands Alicia’s position but if she insists, it is because she doesn't want Alicia to be lonely in her old age like she is. Loneliness is a tragedy in slow motion. When you are without your husband through death or divorce, loneliness takes over your life even if you have 30 other people around you. Alicia insists she has plenty to keep her going with her family and the foundation. Eva warns her that with the divorce her time at the foundation could be over. Alicia cannot think about that now. She wats to be alone.

The police officer starts to take Fedora’s statement but it becomes clear quickly that he has a male chauvinist machista attitude when he asks her how she provoked Samuel. She explains how Samuel is a jealous man. The officer thinks that behind every jealous man there is a woman who is making him feel that way. Fedora is visibly shaken. He thinks that if she were unfaithful that would have a lot to do with the situation. She asks if he is justifying what happened. She reminds him that hitting a woman is a crime. He counters with every crime has a motive and asks if she was unfaithful. Fedora states that did not come to be judged but listened to and protected. That is what the law is for. The police officer says by the way she is talking to him, he cannot imagine how she talks to her partner. Fedora is taken aback and tells him he should be on the victim’s and not aggressor’s side. As Fedora gets more upset, he says he will not be able to take her report if she doesn’t calm down. She stands up and over him. She refuses to calm down and demands to be treated with respect. She orders him to take her report NOW because if he doesn’t, she will go over his head and talk to his superiors. It is because of government workers like him, domestic violence is out of control in their country. With no other choice, he starts to take her report.

Carlota tells Karina she is there because a client has serious domestic violence problems. Carlota asks how Martín is doing and in the ensuing conversation finds out that Martín is not interested in Karina. There is someone else.

Lucas arrives at Sergio’s house and Emiliano removes him.
 

DEJAN Part 3

Diablo tells Martín a juicy bit of gossip. He saw Sergio arguing with some guy who asked Sergio “if he would kill his own son”. Martín immediately wonders if Alicia knows. Diablo makes it clear that it was just something he told him as a friend and that he doesn’t want it out there as gossip. Martín understands how sensitive it is and he aches for Alicia. They know that Sergio is a bum but fortunately Alicia will be leaving him.

Alicia thinks back on her happier times with Sergio, then how she discovered him in bed with Julieta, how he asked her to renew their wedding vows and the confrontation at the hospital.

Yuri and Miranda are talking. Miranda feels bad for her mother. So does Yuri. Miranda never wants to fall in love again because it is just messed up. Yuri tells her that isn't how it works. People fall in love, people fall out of love. You have to be strong and have faith.

Samuel and a bottle of wine come knocking at Fedora’s door. She finally lets him in. He was calling her and wants to know why she didn’t answer him. She says she was with her friends. He doesn’t believe her with her eye like it is. Anyway, that is all over as far as he is concerned because she learned her lesson amd he has brought a fantastic bottle of wine as a peace offering. Fedora says she is in no mood. She has a headache then there is her eye . . He suggests she take something to calm down. Fedora doesn’t think a pill will do it. She is ready to get some sleep. He thinks that includes some under the covers action for him. She makes it clear that she wants to be alone. Ne asks if she is angry with him. She points to her face and asks if she is supposed to be happy about what he did to her. He tells her to cut the drama. She asked for it. She aks him to go. He says he just arrived. He finally gets the message and leaves.

Julieta watches Sergio's program as he wishes her well after her accident at fhe end of his broadcast. He immediately calls her. She refuses to answer but smiles. Sergio sighs.

Alicia writes in her journal. Her granny always said that after the very darkest night, there always came the brightest day. Those words have been with her everyday, especially today and have been her key to survival.
There will be a before and an after and her baggage will be filled with smiles as Martín put it. Martín calls.

DEJAN Part 4

Martín admits to having no excuse to call her. He just wants her to know that he is there now, at midnight, in the early morning, whenever she needs him. She fells like there is this sixth sense with him; it is as if he can read her mind. He thinks they are connected. He insists life is still worth living as well as love especially. He only wants a chance to prove it to her. She thanks him for the call. It was what she really was wanting. He is hoping that she hangs up with a big smile on her face. She does.

The next morning, Alicia’s children have prepared a special breakfast for her. She is very pleased.

Sofía tells Carlota now she was working on her father to get them back together. Carlota tells her to let it go because it seems that her father is interested in somebody else. She doesn’t know who. Sofía refuses to give up and will find out who the other woman is.

Quijada stops by to tell Alicia that Sergio didn’t react well to the divorce notification. Also, she will have to hire her own lawyer.

Lucas is getting ready ro leave for work when he finds a visitor in his mother's (Prudencia) living room. It is Sergio. Sergio heard that he was at his house to spread some gossip. Lucas insists he was there to tell the truth. His mother knows that he threatened to kill him. Sergio is not there to argue. He has contacted a friend who is a doctor to run the tests needed for Prudencia to determine if they can do surgery so she can walk again. Sergio will pay for everything in exchange for Lucas’ permanent silence. He tells Lucas to think about it.

Gonzo stops by to tell Fedora about his job. He sees her face and suspects Samuel. She denies it was him and blames it on a “fall.” Gonzo doesn’t believe her and wants to have it out with Samuel. She begs him not to do anything.She has taken care of the matter. The only thing he is going to do is get out of her house because his mother is coming over and that would be the last straw for his mother to find him there. She tells him to go again. He leaves but insists he is going to do something about this matter.

Alicia and Miranda have a pleasant time as Alicia drops her daughter off at school. Alicia has only one thing to ask of Miranda: that she tell her the truth no matter how hard that may be because the truth has a way of always coming out anyway. Mother and daughter hug.
 

DEJAN

“There will be a before and an after and her baggage will be filled with smiles as Martín put it. Martín calls” was my favorite line of many. Your recap of this heart-heavy episode was another triumph Jarifa.

“A suddenly sensitive but still shocked Sergio” and “Samuel and a bottle of wine come knocking at Fedora’s door” were others I really enjoyed.

It appears Alicia’s grandmother’s wise words helped mold Alicia and make her the loving, sensitive person she is. That stood in stark contrast to Wormtongue’s errr Eva’s “When you are without your husband through death or divorce, loneliness takes over your life even if you have 30 other people around you”. Heartbreak cannot be avoided but it can be overcome.
“Julieta predicts that things are going to turn out exactly like she wants them to”.

Perhaps our incredibly selfish, self-centered half of the home wrecker tag team has never heard the expression “be careful what you wish for”. Perhaps she and Sergio do deserve each other.
.Fedora rose like a firebrand to defend herself at the desk of Mujica’s lackey. “male chauvinist machista” could not have been more perfect Jarifa!

Carlota and Karina are both now wondering who has captured Martin’s interest. Both of these deserving strong, good women deserve the best and hope they both move on.

Alicia has comported herself with grace and dignity. Her remembering and mourning in her bedroom was very real and painful to watch. She told her children of the divorce her pain raw and real. Although I was disappointed Miranda did not immediately embrace her mother she did show support at the surprise breakfast.

The storm subsided late yesterday, the dark and stormy clouds giving way to miraculous sunshine. So this turbulence will come to an end eventually.

DEJAN Part 5

Yuri fries to talk to Moisés about her mother thinking that her father is still seeing Julieta. Moisés isn’t surprised. Yuri asks if he actually thought that her father had been seeing his lover all this time. Moisés says he did. What Moisés doesn’t get is why Yuri keeps on acting like this is some big surprise after all this time. She apologizes, he says that is not necessary and gives her a new case. She is happy she is the principal on the case but not happy it is a suit for the rights of an author. She says it doesn’t compare to a homicide case. He thinks it is better since she is going to be busy planning their wedding and she can also learn how not to get emotionally involved in her cases. He smiles and sends her an air kiss. She storms out.

Alicia meets in a park for coffee with Martín. He wasn’t sure she was going to show but evidently Our Lady of Guadalupe was feeling kindly towards him today. Alicia slept well but only after taking a pill. She never had insomnia before. She tells him she is feeling better and all about he breakfast. She says that the lawyer told her that Sergio doesn’t want to give her the divorce. Martín is not surprised. Alicia thinks it will be torture and doesn’t know if she can handle it. Martín assures her she can and a lot more. He grabs her wrist and this time she puts her hand on his. She wishes she had that kind of strength. He offers to be that strength for her.
He will always be there on the other end of the phone, in the café, at her insomnia. He asks that she allow him to be there for her in exchange for a few smiles. Alicia thinks it sounds good. Martín adds that since her children gave her breakfast; how about if he gives her supper? Alicia says now is not a good time. She will take him up on the offer later.

At school, the same girls try to pick on Miranda one more time calling her strange and a freak, etc. She calmly turns and tells them today is not a good day to be messing with her because she isn‘t in the mood. Maybe they should give her a good reason not to smash their mouths in. The girls quickly turn and walk away.

Eva goes to talk to Sergio about how devastated her daughter is. Sergio says she knows he never wanted this to happen. Eva thinks he didn’t do anything to prevent it. He reminds her that Alicia and Julieta set a trap for him. Eva knows about her asking for a divorce and informs him that Alicia already told the kids. He is surprised that she is moving so quickly. He informs Eva that he isn’t going to give Alicia a divorce. Eva cannot see that helping anything and starts to suggest something when Sergio gets angry and says that from now on things are going to be done his way. Alicia will soon find out that divorcing him is the worst idea she ever had. Eva better tell her that. Eva prays to St. Jude.
 

DEJAN Part 6

Alicia meets with Fedora and Rebeca. It bothers Alicia to see what happened to Fedora. Fedora doesn’t know why she has such bad luck with men. Rebeca thinks men are useless. Alicia tells Rebeca not to preach to the choir. Alicia thinks it is good that Fedora is pressing charges because that man has to pay no matter what. The two other women both support Alicia in her getting a divorce. Alicia says it won’t be as fast as she would like because Sergio plans on fighting it. Fedora can see him pressuring Alicia economically. Alicia says she does have the money she earns from the foundation. Rebeca wonders if Sergio will let her keep that position. Fedora, the self-proclaimed expert on divorce, ominously warns Alicia that things have barely gotten started.

Yuri goes to visit Cholo at the prison. She is super excited to see him. He is listless and tells her that ot probably wasn’t a good idea for him to come out and see her. She tries to make him smile with photos of his bonsai at her house. She tells him she is ready to stay there until he withdraws his confession to the murder.

Martín is with Diablo. He didn’t get the last job he applied for. Diablo is happy because he met with Tamayo and Fabián and he was given this proposal. He shows Martín a paper with a salary amount on it. Martín assumes it is for both of them. Diablo says no. That is what they are willing to pay Martín alone.

At the same time, Fabián is telling Sergio that if they don’t take Martín back. . . Sergio doesn’t want him back. Julieta comes knocking at the door with her irrevocable resignation.

At the foundation, a relatively pleasant sounding Lucas tells Alicia that he needs to talk to her.

Cholo tells Yuri she has to withdraw from all of this, from him, from the case because she is going to end up getting hurt. She asks if he would condemn himself to protect her. If she is the problem and he really wants her to leave it all, she will disappear under one condition: that he fight for his freedom. With a smile she tells him that she dreams about him as a free man and someone discovers his talent for alebrijes. He asks why she had to come into his life. Everything has been so much harder with her but also the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to him in his life. He is as serious as Pip was with Estella in Great Expectations. She smiles as he says he sees her as Estella. She always sees him as Pip. He also changed her life. They kiss.

I meant to say earlier that if I were Fedora, I would not have opened the door to Samuel in a short silk robe. And for that matter, I wouldn't have opened the door at all.

In spite of the fact Moises may not be the nicest person, he doesn't deserve to be shunted aside for Yuri to indulge her little fantasy, however sweet it and Cholo are. She needs to break up with him.

Eva obviously comes from the generation that believes that a woman is nothing without a man. Can we send her back to the 19th century one-way? While we're at it we should also send that machismo-driven policia with her. He was young enough to know better so he has no excuse for how he treated Fedora.

Gonzalo is following the standard operating procedure of wanting to rough up Samuel. That is likely to end with a hospital stay.

Miranda is clearly showing that she is not the stupid girly-girl type and that is what the Mean Girls can't deal with. She has brains and substance to her. Yuri may or may not have been like this at the same age, but whatever it is Alicia can handle this.

SerJerk is true to form here. It is all about him in his plans to fight the divorce and keep Alicia in bondage. He refuses to acknowledge that she has valid feelings about his infidelity (I refuse to believe this was the first time). I am still unsure whether Juleech is also dumping his worthless ass, although it would be well-deserved.

This would be the perfect time for Alicia to find out about Lucas.


 

TU AMOR ep 53 part 1

Horacio is helping Consuelo make little cross candleholders for Claudio and Valentina's wedding. He complains that she's doing this for the civil wedding. Imagine the wasteful spending at the church wedding. She says she's happy that Claudio asked her to help and that mother Aurora is very excited. They only need a date. Mina comes in and asks what they're talking about. Consuelo tells her and says, Imagine when we'll be talking about your father's wedding. I don't want to be separated from my abuela, Mina says. I don't want him to marry the fair one (güerita). Mina runs angrily from the kitchen.

Camila and Helena are the two best dressed prisoners in one of Madrid's jails. A policeman announces that he's come to take their statements. The jeweler Olmedo shows up in a tux and says he hopes they've thought about what they're going to say. His assistant, Manolo, assures him that he followed the protocol to the letter and he isn't rsponsible for what Miss Camila did afterward. Helena turns on him upon hearing this. Camila is innocent and I am too, so I ask for a little patience. I'm sure there is a way to clear everything up. That would be best, says Olmedo, but do you know how much the bracelet is worth? We'll treat this affair with total confidentiality but if it doesn't show up I will bring justice down on you. Do you agree? I agree, says Helena.

In Guillermo's office, Adelaida asks how it went with the cardiologist. He says that she and Rosa Maria are the only two people worried about his health. That's not true, says Adelaida, Patricia has been worried for a long time. That's because she surely wants me dead, he responds. She lives here because that's what Alfonso would have wanted. Also, part of this house is her inheritance. Adelaida says she suggested to Nora that she complete her studies. Very good, says Guillermo, she should be prepared to be very successful. Adelaida reminds him that he has a daughter who is very prepared and successful already. Helena. He asks her not to be so insistent about that.

In Camila's statement, she claims she couldn't have taken the bracelet. She was either on the runway or with Señor Manolo the whole time. Could you please not mention me?, Manolo asks. I did my job. I'm not the one who lost the bracelet. The interrogator adds that the searches were unsuccessful and the legal process will have to continue.

Nora's secretary friend runs into her at work. Nora tells her about her aunt's insistence that she finish her studies, but she says she's too lazy for that. Maybe you should learn everything about your father's business, the secretary suggests. Perfect, says Nora. Do you have a video of everything? I have a book. Your father knows every detail in that book. You think I'm going to read all that?, asks Nora. Am I interrupting?, Patricia asks. No, says the secretary friend, excuse me. "Importing and Exporting in Mexico", I had no idea you're interested in that, says Pat. I like to read, Nora lies. Also, I have really good vision. I saw the kiss you gave Hector perfectly. I know you're up to something cuñada (sister-in-law). Cuñada? Yes, don't forget, Alfonso was my brother. Don't you dare mention his name, says Pat. You don't have to pretend that you loved him with me, Nora replies. The whole ranch knew what happened in the stables when Enrique arrived. Remember? You, him, ... My personal affairs apply only to me, says Pat. What applies to you is messing with other people's men like Helena's novio. I have news for you, he's Helena's novio, not yours. I must admit, says Pat, that even though you're so stupid you can barely read or write, I can have a conversation with you. Our welcome meal still stands.

A man in dark glasses comes into Leoparda's shop to look around. Some of the thugs enter the store to threaten her but she doesn't back down. Did you hear Leoparda?, says one. She called us weak, lazy, idiots. I'm not paying you anything she says, and Brochas grabs her by the throat. He releases her, and she reluctantly hands over some bills. I caught you red handed Brochas, says the man in the dark glasses. You're under arrest. The police drag the thugs out of the shop where Claudio, Hector, and Horacio are waiting. They mock the thugs by listing all their crimes and telling them how much time they'll have to serve. They set us up, says Perro. I'm sure it was this old woman and Horacio, says Brochas. What old woman?, says Leoparda, Your grandmother. Wait until my boss finds out, Brochas threatens. He's been busted for organized crime, says Hector. See you in court, adds Claudio.

At the trial, Horacio and Leoparda have to testify. All the criminals are there except Perro who escaped. Another man named Nicanor testifies too. They poured gasoline around his shop and lit a match when he refused to pay. Fortunately he got out in time. The crime boss says he knows Horacio set him up. When they get out, he's going to regret messing with them.

Claudio receives a call from Valentina. She tells him that Camila and Helena have been accused of stealing a bracelet worth one million euros ($1.2M). He tells her to write down everything that is happening and not to leave out anything. He calls Helena and says he spoke with the Mexican embassy in Madrid and they're sending her someone to help. He puts the phone on speaker and Hector gives his support to Helena. Camila starts to lose it. She takes the phone and says she just wants to go back to Mexico. She doen't want to go to jail. An officer comes in and says the bracelet has been found. It was in the bottom of a shoe. Olmedo checks the piece and asks the police to let the señoritas go.

Nora meets Guillermo in the garden and asks how it went with Rosa Maria. Fine. Fine, he says. They're doing studies but I assure you I'm fine. That makes me happy, she tells him and gives him a hug. I want to help you learn a career, he says. I talked with tia about that, she says, but I didn't even finish prepa and I always wanted to be a model. I was thinking of being a model for Yolanda Pratas. No. for the love of.., no way, he says. But it's been my dream since I was a little girl. Change your dream, he says. Everything I have is the result of generations of work. What if one day I'm gone? Don't say that, says Nora. You carry a great responsibility on your shoulders Nora. But I could do both things at the same time, she pleads. Don't take my dream of being a model. All my life I wanted things I couldn't have and now that I'm your daughter... My daughter will have a career, he says. She'll take over the family business. You're going to be a successful business woman. I want the best for you. I hope you understand. She hugs him with a sad look in her eyes.

A reporter named Bernard is at the fashion hall where the bracelet was lost. He asks if Helena will speak a few words. It was a night full of emotions, she says. She congratulates the winner of fashion week in Madrid and hopes that the one in Paris will go much better. He asks about all the police presence. She tells him there was a lot to protect and the Madrid authorities take security very seriously. She says they have a plane to catch and excuses herself. Bernard looks unsatisfied.

Beba has to break the bad news to Yolanda. Apparently you couldn't find a more stupid location to hide the diamond bracelet, says Yolanda. I didn't have any time, says Beba, they would have found us out. No, says Yolanda, they would have found YOU out. Only mediocre people don't take risks. What did you want me to do?, Beba asks. I could be in jail right now. Don't try to distract me with that face and those tears. You spoiled all my plans. Understand Beba, absolute triumph isn't won by having a clean conscience. I swear Yolanda, Beba says, I thought I had a little bit of value to you. You do, but nobody is indispensable in this life. I don't have time for your tantrums because we have to get back to Mexico. Hola, Yolanda, says Bernard the reporter as he walks by. Maybe all is not lost she tells Beba. I think I have a way to subject Helena and Valentina to ridicule and to dry those tears.

Leo is in his office on the phone with his mother. He called to tell her that Hector left his phone there. He asks her to tell him that the flight arrives at terminal two at midnight. He'll pick up Camila and she should tell Hector to come for Helena. Claudio comes in to confirm the arrival. Terminal one right? Yes, terminal one at 11 o'clock, says Leonardo. He laughs to himself and says he'd love to see Hector's face when he shows up at terminal two. He plays around with the birthdays on Hector's phone and sees that there are two messages from Patricia Manrique. Ah, he says, muy bien, what messages?

At the airport, no one can figure out why Hector isn't there. Leonardo asks Helena to give Hector back his phone when she sees him. Yolanda walks by and asks if Helena just arrived. Of course, Yolanda says, I didn't see you because you weren't in first class. There were a lot of police at the fashion hall. What happened? Hector asks someone about flight 201. It came in an hour ago at the other terminal. No puede ser.
 

TU AMOR ep 53 part 4

Patricia and Yolanda are at Olympo Pratas. Patricia wants to know what happened. Yolanda says that Beba didn't do her job properly. Right now Helena should be sitting in jail with her deformed and silly model. But she still has an ace up her sleeve. First thing tomorrow morning the entire world will find out that Helena Vargas, Valentina, and Camila Casanova are vile thieves.

Helena is at home in a fragile state. The doorbell rings and it's Hector. He holds her in his arms to comfort her. She says Yolanda snatched her dreams away. Come, he says, that woman took first place away but she can't take your talent or your dreams. I'm all yours, he says. I love you, and I'm all yours too, says Helena. The next morning he tells her about going back to school before he leaves. He also tells her about Luna going back to school too, which makes her kind of jealous. We're friends he says. We've worked together for years.

Valentina and Claudio bring an exhausted Camila home to Consuelo. Leonardo told me you arrived at terminal two at twelve, she says. No, terminal one at 11, Val replies. Leo told you that?, asks Claudio. On another subject, he says, while you were gone we planned the wedding we talked about. Seriously?, Val says, we're getting married! She hugs him happily. We just need the date and the dress that you'll wear, says Connie.

Yolanda calls Bernard the reporter to tell him not to transmit his article about fashion week in Madrid. The reason Helena's team took so long and why so many police were there is because Helena and her model tried to steal a diamond bracelet worth one million euros. She obviously regretted all the activity and it magically reappeared in a shoe. Do you have proof of everything you are telling me?, Bernard asks. Of course. I have the phone number of the owner if you want to corroborate it with him. I also have a video of Valentina, the seamstress, who coincidentally stole some jewels when she worked for me. This is going to be epic, Bernard says. I'll have a report first thing tomorrow.

Helena is greeted by applause when she returns to the taller. She tells the employees that the triumph, fashion week, the dresses, were all made possible by the team. You earned it, says Leonardo, and everyone claps for her again. We love you. We love you, they chant. I love you too, says Helena. I couldn't exist without your help and dedication. Thank you. Helena! Helena!, It's on the TV, says Majo bursting into the room. Turn on the screen! It's serous Helena. Bernard comes on the screen with news of a scandal. Helena Vargas the purported professional, came to Madrid to represent Mexico, and the first thing she did was to steal a diamond that a jeweler had entrusted to Camila Casanova. That's not true!, says Helena.

I'm glad that Beba wasn't able to hide the bracelet well and wonder why she hasn't been investigated. I loved your observation about the "two best dressed prisoners," JoelD. It was great that Claudio called the Mexican Embassy, but fortunately they weren't needed. I like the way Nora is tormenting Patricia. She so deserves it! I also loved how the thugs got arrested. Oops! Will Perro be a problem for the shopkeepers in the future? I can't understand why Beba remains loyal to Yolanda. And of course, Leo is his usual creepy self with the false info on the plane's arrival and messing with Hector's phone. Steve: I think Guillermo could go either way.

It is obvious Yolanda will demand nothing short of Helena’s complete destruction. Seeing Camila so distraught, dealt such another cruel blow was almost impossible to watch.

Planting the story of the supposed theft was rather inspired. All of this seems to be taking a toll on Helena and I hope Hector is there for her as she will surely need him.
And then, when we can hardly bear the angst and anguish, we have a rather light moment of the Nora and Patricia show: “I must admit, says Pat, that even though you're so stupid you can barely read or write, I can have a conversation with you”. After that loving praise, we must therefore conclude that Nora will be eating out of Patty’s hand in no time.

“Adelaida reminds him that he has a daughter who is very prepared and successful already. Helena”. Guillermo to me is cold, revengeful and extremely unlikable.

Guillermo forcing Nora to give hope her dream and forcing her to take over the family business is true penance for her. Do I feel badly? Nopis.

I too was disappointed that Miranda took off without showing Alicia some support, but, as Diana pointed out, she made up for it the next morning at breakfast.

I thought Miranda was going to be so much more difficult, but it seems that the attention she is getting from her sister and mother is slowing breaking down that wall she built around herself...signs of hope.

I was wondering how long it would take Eva to start in on Alicia. Fortunately, Alicia was able to cut her off quickly and Alicia listened to her grandmother more than her mother. Sage advice from grandma!

I was appalled at how Gutierrez (mis)handled Fedora's case. As Urban pointed out so well, "He was young enough to know better so he has no excuse for how he treated Fedora." And I cringed when Fedora asked to talk to his superior...that would be Mujica!! I could just imagine how that would go...even worse! And yes, Diana, Fedora was really FeDUMBa when she opened that door for Samuel, especially in that short robe; and sh ewas very lucky that he backed off so quickly.

So after all those years, Sergio is willing to pay for Prudencia's surgery so that she can walk again??? If there is a possibility that she can walk, and Lucas has been scamming the foundation, why hasn't he done anything? I'll answer that myself...because he is just like his father--a self-serving, pathetic JERK!

Diana, I think all of us agree that Yuri needs to drop Moises, especially now that she and Cholo finally kissed. Surely she can't deny having feelings for him after that kiss.

Diana, I'm so glad the storm has passed and now you have sunshine. Since this past Tuesday, we've seen very little of the sun and quite a bit of rain here in the RGV...very unusual for the month of July when it's usually very hot.

Jarifa, thank you for yet another great recap of men behaving badly ..uff.The writers gave the name Diablo to a nice guy when several other men deserve that Name..Serg, Sam, Lucas, Mig, that police guy taking Fedora's info.

Now I understand why Eva has been so insistent about Alicia not leaving Serg. When you lose your longtime mate through death or divorce , your whole life changes...everything , especially if you had a happy marriage , and Alicia thought they had a happy marriage until she found out about his affair and that Serg is a lying liar who lies . You do feel lonely without that person even if you have a lot of people around you.

Diana, nothing to be sorry about. I do not care when anyone posts or how many times they post. No blog police here. This epsiode was so good I thought I would never get done with the recap. What to cut? What to leave in? The writers sure out did themselves on this one. I love the Great Expectations connection (even though I never liked the book). Anyway, I thought it was incredibly stupid of Fedora to open the door and let Samuel in. I think she needs some extra windows or door treatments so people cannot see inside her house. What was the point of letting him in? An invitation to more brutalization? I also agree about Yuri. She should respect Moisés enough as a person to end it with him. We will miss you next week on the blog. Here is hoping you can read the recaps while on your trip.

Urban, good call on the mean girl mentality. I have no doubt Miranda would take them both down physically if she had to and with no regret at this point. It would have been a perfect time for Alicia to find out the truth about. Since Luca is probably around Yuri’s age, I world guess that Sergio has cheated his entire marriage because he felt entitled to. For him, the problem arose when he actually felt something for another woman in addition Alicia. He has always had what he wanted, so why wouldn’t he try to hang on to it all now? The young police officer was a nightmare. I keep hoping that social views will automatically get more progressive with younger generations, but this is an example how that is not always the case.

Too bad Lucas wasn't smart enough to get on Alicia's good side from the beginning. They could have teamed up to take Sergio down and end up with everything. But he is too angry and greedy; and she is too nice and wishy-washy. Sergio is so arrogant that he put them together at the foundation absolutely KNOWING that Lucas won't spill the beans. Kind of funny that Emiliano physically removes Lucas from the family home when he can just go to work and she'll be there. Totally unnecessary scene.

Steve Boudreaux, you may be right about Guillermo. He's supposed to not stress himself out and he always seems to be at stress level 11. Spanprof, I was wondering the same thing about Perro escaping. You never know when something like that is for a plot development. BTW, I jsut thought about why Leo might have been playing around with the birthdays on Hector's phone. Maybe he was trying to figure out the pass code. He looked up Mina's birthday on his phone and typed it in to Hector's right before Patricia's messages came up. Diana, I hope your trip goes well. Jarifa, I agree with you that Sergio has likely cheated his entire marriage. A serial cheater who feels entitled and invincible. Julieta is quite beautiful but so is Alicia. The similarities end there. Alicia is kind, generous, loving and loyal. Julieta is not. Alicia has substance. Julieta does not. The only allure that I can see is youth and sexiness which in this case was enough not only to cause Sergio to stray but to be besotted enough to lose his famiy.

Rgv Chick: "FeDUMBa". Side bar worthy!!! Love it. On a sober note, the circle of bad police seems to be tight in telenovelas. Gutierrez and Mujica were cut from the same slimy fabric of corruption, intimidation and murder.

Susanlynn, I am not as kind as you. Great loss does cause great pain. If Eva's loss of her husband has saddened her, for that she has my sympathy. However, I believe that Eva's sole motivation for Alicia to stay with Sergio is to keep her in the lifestyle to which Eva is accustomed. I feel part of her loves her daughter but she is greedy and grasping. She never took Alicia's side against Sergio. If that were my daughter, I'd be packing her bags. :). Mothers, like everyone, are not perfect. But the majority are certainly more kind and caring.

This TN continues to fascinate me- unique in many ways….i guess cultural differences, the compelling role that the background music track makes in addition to the wide variety of unusual and often unpredictable characters.

RgvChick, it does looks like Prudencia has been victimized by Sergio and her son if there was ever any chance of her walking again. Neither ever thought of getting her medical situation reviewed just out of a sense of decency to see if her condition could be improved? Decency seems to be in short supply.

Diana, what I cannot understand is how Sergio keeps thinking that he is going to keep both women around no matter what.

Sahra enters Dr. Turgut’s office. She’s sorry to bother him when he’s just ended his shift. [I think he’s happy to see her in her skimpy red outfit.] She introduces herself, I’m Sahra. He must have been expecting her because he replies, Dr. Sahra Yalcin.

Sahra admits she’s a little embarrassed to have asked for a recommendation. Dr. Turgut admits it bothered him when an old friend called and asked him to hire her as soon as possible... he laughs… [I can only imagine what he’s thinking. Who goes to a legit job interview dressed like this?]

He looks at her CV and he’s impressed. She didn’t need any help. He would have hired her immediately. Sahra thanks him. He asks her why she left Istanbul? You worked in a good hospital, he says. Sahra replies, honestly, I was not passionate about general surgery. I am aspiring to be neurosurgeon like you. My teachers mention you a lot. Dr. T is skeptical, no neurosurgeons in Istambul? We invite doctors from there when a case becomes difficult for us.

Sahra says he’s right, but, uh ... this year I'll have very difficult exams and it’s hard to focus in Istanbul. If I move here, I could study in peace. I would like to register at Mugla Medical School and have the opportunity to attend their surgeries and learn. What did you think, she asks, can I start now? Are there surgeries for today scheduled? He looks at her sideways. She jumps from her seat, doctor ...I'll be the best assistant in the world, I promise you. I guess he can’t resist.

Dr. Sahra walks in wearing scrubs [thank goodness]. She comments, oh, look how many people are here. What are they celebrating? I know that you won’t like this, but you must leave. We have to take him to surgery. Sancar is surprised. He turns to Nare and says, are you going to operate on me now? They laugh.

The family files out. Nare stays. Sahra introduces herself as part of the surgical team. Nare asks for a few minutes before they take Sancar. Sahra goes outside to wait.

Nare takes out her phone. Someone sent you a message, she tells Sancar. It’s Melek: Hi dad, I miss you so much. I told mom that I wanted to go to the hospital to be by your side, but she told me that you would come back to me very soon. You will come to me, and I will anxiously wait for you. Mom said I would be sad if I saw you in the hospital and that it would make you sad to see me depressed. So that's why I decided to stay here. I will not be sad, I will pray for you, and I know that you’ll come soon. I love you very much, “ben seni çok seviyorum”. Melek sends lots of kisses into the phone. How sweet.

Sancar tells Nare, I would give my life for you and for her [been there, done that and I guess he’d do it again.] Nare says, get well, your daughter is waiting for you at home.

Embajador S2 #31 part 2

We jump 40 days later and Sancar comes home from the hospital in a wheelchair. Sahra has come with them.

Melek rushes out to greet her father. Dad! Melek! A very happy reunion! The rest of the family assembles. Sancar tells Melek that he missed hugging her. Melek answers, me too, but it's all your fault I couldn't hug you, because I couldn't see you. Sancar replies, how could I hug you with my arms in a cast? But we called each other, didn't we? Melek says that’s true. Let's not talk anymore, hug me.

Nare introduces Melek to Sahra. Melek asks her, did you repair my father? Sahra says, no, the doctor treated your father. I'm going to continue his treatment here. Melek asks, then we won't have to be apart again? Sancar answers, never again. The rest of the family welcomes Sancar home and he’s wheeled into the house. I don’t like the look on Sahra’s face.

They edited here. When Sancar enters the house, he immediately points to that cursed bedroom. He plainly states, I will not stay there. Take me to Elvan’s old room. Nare says they will take him to Grandpa Efe’s hideout. [I’d like to know who carried him and his chair up those stairs!]

Sancar is settled in. Sahra prepares to test Sancar’s reactions. He knows the drill, if you feel nothing, say zero, but if you feel something, ten. Sancar feels nothing. Sahra tries a few more time and Sancar shouts, zero! It's been 40 days and I have not improved. I still don't feel anything. The surgery didn't work! Be honest, tell me something, please.

Sahra answers, regeneration is a complicated process—He interrupts, I already heard that 40 times. Nare tells him, you will have to listen a thousand times more. You know it's a long process. Your recovery is going to take a long time. Sancar says he already heard that, too. He’s discouraged.

Nare comes down stairs and meets an anxious Halise. Halise asks, nothing this time? She gives Nare a very sour look. Why are you looking at me like that, Nare asks, and she heads outside. Halise follows her.

Nare confronts Halise. Tell me. Say it. "Sancar took Akin to the cliff because of you.” Tell me, “If you hadn't untied that damned Akin, Sancar would not have fallen. He’d be safe and sound.” Tell me that your child fell off the cliff because of me and that I am the problem, she shouts. Tell me that your son could be disabled because of me. Come on, say it, Mrs. Halise. [Turkish] You have been silent for 40 days, get rid of what is in your heart.

Halise answers, do you really want to know what’s in my heart? They sit. Halise begins, a part of me says that you saved my son. I tell myself that you threw yourself off the cliff because of my son and that I was very unfair to you. I asked you for forgiveness and you forgave me, so I shouldn't hold a grudge. But the other part of me says…you don't give birth to your child to have him shattered and his life ruined.

Halise continues, I know that you would be willing to give your life for him, but-- if Sancar spills a single tear, my heart will be made of stone. I warn you, that's how it is. Listen Nare. I’m very angry with you. I don’t know what else to say.

Nare answers, don't you think I am furious with myself? I can’t tell you how furious I am with myself for having untied that bastard Akin! Nobody hates me more than me. But I'm also furious with Sancar. You know that I love him very much, but I'm angry. What if he had killed Akin? What would have happened if the police arrested him? Sahra comes out and sees them talking.

Nare sees Sahra and tones it down she says, fortunately, Sancar did not kill him. He fell off the cliff and Akin fled, He may not be able to stand, but he is not a killer.

Sahra comes over and says, physical therapy is recommended and could be a great help. So, he can walk again, even if it's a small hope.

Sahra tries calling Akin again and leaves another message. Please reply, Akin. I heard Nare and Halise talking but they changed the subject when I showed up. Did you manage to run away or did Sancar throw you off the cliff? I don’t know if you're dead or alive. Should I stay here? If I stay, how long? Do you want me to kill Sancar at once or should I wait? it's been a month and a half and I'm about to freak out, brother. Answer. Please.

Sahra gets a text, "Akin: Stay. Wait for my instructions." She wonders who wrote, Akin or was it someone else?

Cut to Kman holding his phone. Guven comes to see Kman. Guven asks him when he will return to work. Soon, but Kman says there’s no hurry. Guven wants to know why Kman invited him over.

Kman says, the authorities have not found Akin's body. Yes, everyone knows that. Kman says he thinks differently than others. They think Sancar fell and Akin fled, he tells Guven, but I think your daughter buried Akin to protect Sancar. Guven laughs, are you collaborating with the police? Are you trying to frame me? Kman replies he’s not interested in Guven. He’s talking about Nare.

Does your daughter really love Sancar so much she would reject millions of dollars to protect him? Without a body there is no inheritance. Guven stutters, I don't understand. How did you find out that Nare will inherit Akin's money?

Kman responds, I’ve had a lot of time in bed to think about that inheritance and I investigated. Guven asks, did you call me to talk about the inheritance? Kman says, no. Gediz found an opportunity to do something. He’s going to take advantage of Zehra's inexperience. What he did to me, he will do to her. He will destroy the company, leaving it with many debts.

So what does Guven have to do with this? Kman says he doesn't get along with Gediz and he has no control over him. He’s hoping that Guven can help him with that. Guven laughs, how am I supposed to go to get closer to him? He doesn’t even let me into his home. Kman says, Gediz's mother is a widow, right? Maybe she needs a little company? [Guven doesn’t look too keen on the idea, but if there’s money involved….]

Elvan is preparing to serve tea and cake. Gulsiye asks her about it. Elvan tells her she’s going talk to Yahya. He came to see her. Uh oh, Gulsiye is concerned, what are you going to talk about? Elvan says she doesn’t know. Gulsiye asks Elvan to wait, there is something she should know. It’s what you had asked, Gulsiye tells her, and I think it's time—Elvan interrupts, don't talk, Gulsiye. Don't you want to know, she asks Elvan? Gulsiye realizes that Elvan knows everything and that's why she’s been so depressed.

Elvan says this is not the time to be depressed, I don't want you to tell me anything, I don’t need to listen to you. You were quiet for 40 days, right? Stay silent. I waited for this moment for a long time, don't ruin it, please.

Elvan goes out to the porch. Yahya smiles at her and the tray. Elvan says it’s to sweeten our conversation. Yahya takes it as a good sign. He begins, we’ve been apart for a long time. We can reconcile, I can talk to my brother. I will just tell him I want to come back to the mansion. Tonight, if possible. Elvan, I miss you so much, my love.

Elvan delivers her answer with a smile that belies the message, I no longer miss you, please forgive me. Huh? She launches into an explanation. It saddens me to have realized it, but I don't even think about you anymore, Yahya. I am a bad wife and that is sad. Yahya doesn’t understand.

It’s simple, she tells him. I always think about Nare. She loses her mind if she is not with Sancar for a day. And, well, he is Sancar…and you...are Yahya. You are not the same as him. He’s floored. She understands his reaction. She continues, and I am not the ambassador's daughter, I am an orphan. I say to myself: "Elvan, Yahya is perfect for you. He is the only man who would be interested in you. You must be satisfied with what you have, woman. " Even if you had a piece of wood for a husband you should be thankful.

Yahya is offended. Elvan says she’s sorry, but you’re not problem. I know it's me. I married you to please your mother. But I can't go on with this farce anymore. I'm looking for a man who makes me feel butterflies in the stomach.

Yahya is angry, I'm going to finish the bastard who dares. Elvan hits herself on the mouth. Silly, what kind of woman talks to her husband about replacing him? I'm going to be honest with you, I no longer consider you a man. [Wow!] Yahya, let's get divorced. I admit that I do not deserve you. You must find a woman who loves you and respects you. You start the process, okay? He storms off. Elvan is not happy but she did what she felt she needed to do.

Gulsiye was lurking. She goes to Elvan, wow. you just used the "it's not you, it's me." treatment. Elvan laughs. You are formidable, Gulsiye tells her, that imbecile fled very hurt. Elvan tearfully says, I thought the pain would stop as soon as I confronted him, but it didn't work.

Flowers are delivered to Gediz’ house. He thinks they are for Muge at first, but he reads the card. They are for Refika: "I would like to give you the bouquet while I look into your eyes, but I don't have the courage. Maybe soon, Mrs. Refika.”

Refika babbles. Gediz asks who is it, mother? Refika says, who is what? The man who sent you a bouquet of flowers, Gediz playfully demands to know. Refika says, that’s enough. Don’t make fun of me. This better not be one of your games, she warns Gediz, if you sent these flowers, I'm going to slap you. He assures her it wasn’t him.

Gediz steps out to take a call from the inspector. A grave was found in Kavruk’s village. Gediz is on his way.

Sahra shows up with a PT. She introduces Okan and Sancar introduces himself as the man who needs a miracle. Everything is set up. Okan gives instructions and gets Sancar to stand. It doesn’t go very well and Sancar ends up falling. Sahra starts to say this is normal and Sancar yells at everyone to leave. Nare asks him not to give up so soon, but he just wants everyone to go. It’s over, he tells her, it’s over. It’s over. Nare says, that’s it? He answers, that's right.

Nare asks everyone to leave. She closes and locks the door. She strips off her sweater to Sancar’s surprise. What are you going to do? [Turkish] Nare is ticked, it's over, right? 40 days tried and 41 finished? He just looks at her. She says, you owe me Sancar Efe. She gets down on the floor in front of him with her back turned. She moves her hair out of the way and reveals a surgery scar on her back.

She asks him, can you see it? I fell from that same cliff. I was shattered, they patched me with plates. Sancar is very upset, Nare don’t do this… She faces him, I don’t care if it hurts you to see it. Do you know how many times I fell? So as long as I have those scars on my back, you can't tell me it's over. You have no right, Sancar. She puts her sweater back on and leaves the room. Sancar lets out a big yell.

Nare goes outside and Sahra is sitting there. She tells Nare she sent Okan home for today. Nare is crying.

Sahra starts her story. I was eight years old. I came home from school. There was a crowd of people outside our building and ... they all looked up at the roof. I was afraid but I looked and saw what I feared the most. It was-- my mother who went up on the roof to commit suicide.

Nare asks, did your mother pass away? Sahra replies, no, she survived but she could not walk. The doctors said she would eventually walk again. But we knew that was not true. She tried at the beginning. She fell, but she would not give up. First my mother lost hope and then she gave up. Sahra cries at the recollection.

She continues, one day she fell, and I didn't pick her up. I took my bag and I hurried to school. I came back and there was a crowd of people in front of the building. She didn't get on the roof that time, but she cut her wrists.

Nare is very sorry to hear this. Sahra tells her, I was not looking for your compassion. Listen, this will be a very difficult process. Sancar will want to give up on several occasions. If he notices that you lose hope, he will too. But if you pick him up when he falls, I assure you that he will walk again. Nare thanks Sahra for her words of encouragement. She goes back into the house.

Sahra looks so sincere when talking to Nare, but once she leaves, she wipes her face and her look changes.

And we are out.

I was a bit confused about Sahra meeting with the star-eyed doctor; was she the doctor whom he was waiting for from Instanbul? I thought he had requested that a surgeon come in to help him, but she made it seem like she was the one who arrived of her own free will. And again, the timing is off since she had been in Mugla looking for Akin for quite a while. Small detail, but it still bothers me even after all the other beanie moments.

I really thought Sahra was going to do something to mess up the surgery, but I guess she's waiting to hear from Akin before digging her fangs into Sancar.

It was good to see Nare and Hellise having a heart-to-heart. Nare finally admitted to how stupid she was for untying Akin, but she hasn't admitted to how stupid she was to wait until Sancar's wedding to come looking for him...or for trusting Gediz.

About Sahra, Akin was in touch with her and they set up the fake pregnancy plan before the cliff incident. She also planned to find a job at the hospital. As I understood it, she was not the specialist they were expecting. She would only be assisting. Sahra’s been looking for her half-brother since she’s arrived, and now it’s been over 40 days. She’s getting conflicting info on what’s happened to him.

They cut a scene on Friday, that in my estimation, they should have left in:

Sancar told Zehra that she should take away Gediz’ check writing authority. He warned her Gediz would try to drag her into debt. She didn’t think he would do something like that because he would also be harming himself. Sancar laughed at this. He told Zehra that Gediz would set up a dummy company for this purpose. He would bankrupt them, not himself. This is what Kman was referring to when speaking with Guven. Zehra told Sancar she couldn’t comprehend such underhandedness.

Also, Sancar asked Zehra what has been happening with Kavruk. Halise is listening through the door. Zehra said he hasn’t said a word to her since she got him up from the wedding table. Sancar was really pissed. And Kavruk hasn’t even come to the mansion since Sancar returned. That’s when Halise enters the room. She says that Kavruk won’t be allowed back to the mansion, and she tells Sancar that Zehra has shamed them.

Sancar replies, was it my sister or my brother that has shamed us? He brings up the video he sent to her with the message that Yahya cheated on Elvan. Zehra is stunned. She had no idea. Halise says she was so preoccupied with what happened to Sancar, she put that aside. And besides, should Elvan and Yahya get divorced for one mistake? Sancar says he hasn’t forgotten about it, and he’s adamant about the divorce.

If Akin managed to survive falling off the cliff and being buried ...well,that is crazy. ...even crazier than San surviving being wrapped in that cowhide instead of being taken by ambulance directly to the hospital. Do we know how long it was from when be fell to when he finally was taken to the hospital.days? Weeks?

What is Gediz purpose for ruining the company ?...just revenge against San for Nare loving San?

This show makes the other 2 shows I am watching seem absolute!y believable.

Susanlynn, Sancar was in the shack for about 2-3 days. It only seemed like an eternity. Gediz isn’t out to ruin the company, he’s only out to ruin Sancar and take everything away from him, including the mansion and Nare.

Sancar better get out of that chair, asap!
