DEJAN - Ep 48: Part 1

Alicia tells Martin not to look for her and hangs up. She hesitates before blocking him. After Marcela tells her to stay calm, Alicia tells her that she just tore her heart out…she will be like a zombie.

Martin tries to call back but gets Alicia’s voicemail. He realizes that Alicia has blocked him.

Alicia tells Marcela that everything she created with all her heart ended from one day to the next. When she was amidst so much anger and pain, he appeared—Martin…she never felt that someone loved her so much. When Martin looks her in the eyes, he makes her feel so special. When Marcela asks why she is giving up on all of that, Alicia lists her family members who have made her life impossible and tell her that she is being ridiculous. She is about to lose her house and she can’t…she is a coward. Marcela then shares that during one time when her husband left, she met someone; Pedro loved her but she left him because she was stupid. People would remind her that Toro was her husband and he would kill her if he found out. When Alicia asks if she has regrets, Marcela admits that she does regret it every day…she ended up with a sad life…and if you can’t be happy in life, then what is it good for.

Yuri tells Moises about the dinner with her father. He tries to convince her to let him go to the dinner, but Yuri argues that it’s at Julieta’s house and they are no longer together. When he insists that he is not giving up, Yuri tells him that their relationship has ended. He then asks what happened with Cholo and what she feels for him. Yuri blurts out that she loves him…with all her heart and soul. Moises wonders what stupidities she is saying. She has only seen Cholo a few times…and in jail. He berates Cholo saying that Cholo has no education…he is a nobody! Yuri argues that is what distanced her from him (Moises)…he is a classist and a racist (and a jerk). She tells him that love is not measured with social class, degrees and back accounts; if it were such, she would be madly in love with him. When Moises brings up how embarrassed she is about her mother having a relationship with younger man, Yuri argues that her mother has her life set, but she is just starting her life and she is following her heart. Moises thinks that sooner or later, Yuri will realize that her feelings for that criminal is just a façade.; he hopes she doesn’t end up being a fugitive…but he will wait...she will be his wife; and when she is ready, they will continue with their plans.

Miranda and Diego sit awkwardly side by side sits by Diego. Miranda tells him about the phone call with her father. When she tells him that she is leaving, Diego asks if they aren’t going to talk about what just happened…it was her first time. She can’t leave him just like that. When he asks if she just wanted sex from him, Miranda smirks. After he asks how she feels, Miranda tells him that she is scared to death. He reminds her that they used protection (whew! Good!), but Miranda is afraid because it was so beautiful that she now feels more vulnerable…it’s like they are in a game and she gave him all the weapons to hurt her. Diego assures her that he will never do anything to hurt her.

Martin is pacing back and forth when Karina arrives (since he asked her to come over). She thinks he wants to talk about Alicia but he has something else that they need to talk about.

Julieta makes plans with Laureano, the chef, who will be making the dinner.

Alicia and Marcela are still together and realize that they have so many things in common Marcela advises her not to give up; if Martin makes her happy then she should ignore everyone.

 

DEJAN - Ep 48: Part 2

Martin tells Karina about his brother. The new information will make the investigation take a new turn. He asks that she tell him everything she finds out about his brother...and to be discreet. His father fell off the wagon and Martin needs to keep his family at bay. When Karina asks why he was so upset when she got there, Martin prefers not to talk about it. Karina however, gives him and “I told you so”…his relationship with that woman has no future.

Facundo compliments Maruja on her chilaquiles. When he notes her bad mood, she chides him for going straight to the bottle…she doesn’t deserve that since she also lost a son. Facundo apologizes and promises that it will never happen again. Maruja hopes that he also gives up on the investigation.

Toro meets with Mujica to give him the gun. Mujica has plans…he will plant the gun on Cholo.

Luna asks Marcela if Alicia mentioned anything about the school. Quique butts in and chides her for still hoping that the woman will still help them; they should forget about her. Marcela argues that they too can be prejudiced against the upper class. When Luna leaves, Marcela wonders why Quique criticizes that woman who only wants to help them yet he celebrates his father return. Quique tries to defend his father, but Marcela reminds him how Toro has left them without a dime…she warns him not to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Miranda excitedly tells Benito that she made love with Diego. After she shrieks in delight, her bad self criticizes her and tells her that Diego turned off the lights so as not to look at her….she shouldn’t continue believing in princesses and fairy tales; surely Diego is probably telling all his friends everything that happened. Miranda yells, “I hate you!” Meanwhile, Diego is smiling as he recalls being with Miranda. His friends arrive and ask if the odd one was there. After the girls mock him for being with her, Diego leaves since he has things to do.

Rebeca is frantic because someone stole her earrings! Fabian comes in and tries to cam her down, but Rebeca insists that someone stole her earrings and accuses Gladys, their housekeeper. When she rambles on that she will report Gladys to the police, Fabian gets frustrated and yells at her to calm down.

Samuel tells Fedora that he is going out with his friends. When she asks for the keys to her house, Samuel thinks that she is running him out. She hopes that he won’t force her to change the locks (which she should have done long ago!). Samuel grabs her face, forces a kiss on her and tells her he’ll be back tomorrow.

Yuri tells Eva that they are going to have dinner with Sergio at Julieta’s house, Eva thinks that Julieta is probably trying to make points, but concubines aren’t good at having families. As she adds that Julieta will never be as good as Alicia, Alicia approaches and shocked that Evais talking so well about her…she wonders if Eva is sick. Eva tells her that she is her only daughter and she only wants what is best for her. When Eva tells her about Sergio inviting the kids for dinner and Yuri adds that the dinner will be at Julieta’s, Alicia snarks that they sure got accustomed to the their father’s relationship with an employee that could be his daughter, but she can’t fall in love with a younger man.

 

DEJAN - Ep 48: Part 3

At the foundation, Lucas tells Meche that his mother is already walking. He then asks her to find out everything she can about DNA tests.

Alicia is with Miranda and scolding her for not answering her phone. When she brings up the sleeping pills, Miranda comments that she asked her grandmother not to tell. After Alicia adds that her father knows about it, Miranda explains that she took the pills because she couldn’t sleep. When Alicia tells her not to play the sympathy card, Miranda retorts that Alicia can’t even defend her….she can’t do anything right, but Alicia is the perfect one and her only fault is going out with someone who could be her son. Alicia counters that she gave in to everyone and gave up on Martin… Miranda shouldn’t use him to avoid talking about her own problems. When Miranda denies taking all the pills or taking drugs, Alicia tries to grab her, but Miranda complains from the pain. Alicia then notices the scratches on her arms, but Miranda tells her that her friend’s cat scratched her

Martin talks to Mabel about a new article he wants to write…about the cultural barriers of love.

Fabian searches through the drawers and finds the earrings that Rebeca wrapped in newspaper. Rebeca realizes that she is the one who put them there. When Rebeca shakes her head and recalls that her Aunt Josephina would do the same thing, Fabian kneels by her and they hug as they cry together.

Sergio and Julieta argue about the new program. When Sergio tries to kiss her and asks when he will be able to see her, Julieta blurts that she is not Alicia…she has her goals and her aspirations and she is not going to be confined to those four walls. She knows many women who are happy to be at home, but that is not her. His asking that she give up on the program is like asking her not to be her. He needs to accept it, because that is how it will be.

Miranda confronts Eva about telling on her about the pills. Eva tells her that she will not be her accomplice. Those pills can be very dangerous if not used correctly. Eva then brings up the dinner and warns Miranda not to be too nice to Julieta. Miranda smirks and tells Eva that if she won’t do her any favors then Miranda won’t do any favors either…she is going to be Julieta’s best friend!

Yuri takes Cholo some food. When he sees how she is dressed up, he tells her that she is perfect. When he adds that the lawyer is right, Yuri realizes that he overheard everything. When she tells him that Moises will never accept that she fell in love with someone else, Cholo tells her that she fell in love with a peddler. Yuri then feels bad about leaving him alone, but Cholo insists that she has to go on with her life as usual. Yuri promises to hurry back.

Facundo goes to see Mujica and wants to know everything that he knows about Simon and his murder.

The kids are ready to leave for the dinner. Alicia tells them to enjoy and rebuild their relationship with their father. After they leave, Alicia asks what Eva what she thinks about Sergio running her out of the house…because if that happens, Eva will have to go with her (cara impactada on EVA!!)

Maruja tells Carlota about Facundo falling off the wagon. Martin knows about it and it’s been a hard day for all of them.

Mujica tells Facundo that Simon was involved in drugs. He happened to arrive at the alley where Simon was killed and saw some things that others did not see. Mujica changed some things at the crime scene because he knew that the media would run with the story. He did it for Facundo and to protect his son’s memory (see Mujica’s ugly nose grow). Facundo apologizes to Mujica.

 

DEJAN - Ep 48: Part 4


Martin is writing his article about the barriers of love and how society and prejudice are the main obstacles for two people who love each other. Those barriers only leave regret and pain because sooner or later one realizes that happiness is more important than “what will they say?”; and that is something that the brave know, because, at the end of the day, only the brave know how to truly love.

The kids arrive at Julieta’s house. When Julieta tells them that this must be difficult for everyone and they probably don’t think highly of her, but she only wants their father to be happy because he is much a wonderful man (Viewerville collectively rolls their eyes). Sergio hugs the girls and smiles proudly.

Martin is with Nelson when he hears a knock. He thinks it would be wonderful if it were Alicia, but it’s Facundo.

Dinner at Julieta’s seems to be going smoothly. When she leaves and brings back the chef so that they can meet them, Laureano greets Gonzo and asks how he is (uh oh!). Sergio wonders how they know each other.

Alicia is home when she hears a noise upstairs (caused by Cholo). She goes to look around in the attic and calls out thinking that it might be Yaya. Meanwhile, Cholo tries to hide behind a big teddy bear.

Rgv Chick, your lens is sharp, perceptive and crystal clear. Once again, I marvel at your superb writing, capturing everything so smoothly and succinctly.

“Fabian kneels by her and they hug as they cry together”. I freely admit I cried as well. A heartbreaking, touching moment.

I cheered at “Alicia snarks that they sure got accustomed to their father’s relationship with an employee that could be his daughter, but she can’t fall in love with a younger man”. A woman strong enough to call her ungracious children out for failing to support her, yet be gracious in hugging them as they set off to their traitorous father’s and the woman he cheated on her with.

“He did it for Facundo and to protect his son’s memory (see Mujica’s ugly nose grow”. I cannot believe Facundo fell for that! I’m sure his convincing Facundo of Cholo’s guilt can’t be far behind. Ack. That said, seeing Facundo arrive at Martin’s and enveloping him in a bear hug was wonderful to see. Nelson looked on approvingly no doubt and his presence lightened this episode immensely.

Seeing Yuri and Miranda’s delight in their father is just inexplicable. And inexcusable.

“he will wait...she will be his wife; and when she is ready, they will continue with their plans”. Yuri has made it perfectly clear she and Moises are over yet, delusional and defiant, he refuses to accept it.

“Yuri argues that is what distanced her from him (Moises)…he is a classist and a racist (and a jerk)” had me nodding and smiling away…

“After the girls mock him for being with her, Diego leaves since he has things to do”. Is it just me or shouldn’t Cholo have banished Nicole from ever setting foot in their arcade (wherever it is) again??? What started as a promising romance has left me cold.

So will the big bear shield Cholo or is the gig up?? 😊

Diana, you and me both were wondering why Diego didn’t throw Nicole out and ban her. He never takes that final step.

Marcela can talk wistfully about the past now, but Toro probably would have killed her and Pedro. Marcela isn’t stupid.

Alicia believed Miranda’s cat scratch excuse? Really?

Surprised Eva didn’t invite herself along to Sergio’s she is such a fan. Loved Alicia reminding her she could be leaving the house, too.

Of course, Cholo was going to drop something. I thought he was going to fall off of his perch looking through the vent. I wonder if the hiding spot smells from the food Yuri brought him.

The real star was Nelson having to listen to Martín opine about love and culture. Poor pup!

Gracias, RGV Chick.

One good thing could come out of the conversation between Yuri and Moises: She could realize that she has been a jerk about her parents. I think something will happen at dinner tonight that will help that. Juleech is younger than she is an that is not right. Further, SerJerk is aging. It's only been a couple of months of the characters' lives since the opening episode and now he looks almost ten years older.

If Eva and Alicia end up both out of the house and living together they will be at each other's throats in a worse way than now.

A huge sigh of relief that Diego uses condom. However he needs to ban Nicole from the lair.

Martin will get a lot of attention for this article,, but if SerJerk goes after him about it he will put himself in the wrong spotlight.

Gonzalo will be outed as a culinary student and SerJerk will have a fit. What will Juleech do if that leads to a cardiac event? Salivating viewers can't wait for this.

Yes, it's weird that we smile for a fish and a dog. Well, no weird about the dog because he's beautiful and affectionate. But Miranda should get Benito a companion. He must be lonely all by himself in that tank.

Eva throwing stones at Juleech would normally be amusing but doing so now would likely provoke the end of her gravy train.

TU AMOR. Ewww! Could Leo get more disgusting and evil? Now he wants Rugino's thugs to attack his brother Hector, beat him up and steal all the designer clothes meant to be sold at the market. Keep in mind that this was the man who sacrificed his own future so that Leo and Camila could get decent educations, including Leo's university education. Is there a punishment terrible enough that could be inflicted on this jerk?

I don’t think Alicia will find Cholo, but I would be more comfortable with him out on the streets than stuck in that “booby trap waiting to happen” of an attic. With the size of Mexico City and the tens of millions of people in it and in its adjacent cities and towns, it is hard to believe that Cholo couldn’t just disappear and make contact later when the heat is off. I know, no drama but it is almost like he is Yuri’s pet living up there and dependent on her for everything and Yuri sin’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Urban, it would be perfect if Julieta would somehow cause Sergio to have some kind of health crisis and for his kids to witness her at her worst.
 

TU AMOR. I suspect that the latitude and longitude numbers in the letter Adelaida received may be her son's current geographical location. I hope it's not a cemetery! And now Eugenio knows that Valentina is Guillermo's biological daughter, not Nora. Evil though Nora is, she's not letting Patricia hack Val's i-phone--only Nora can do that!

Thank you SpanProf! I could not believe the clothing hijacking! Helena is going to end up living at Hector's, with nothing if Guillermo doesn't step up and try and help his daughter. I just can't get past this rift which he caused and seemingly still has no remorse or desire to fix.

Also, did Beba erase the video of Consuelo with her cart which would implicate her in taking the drawings that Yolanda stole initiall? If so, why? I have always felt Beba is one of the few characters that could possibly turn things around, loathsome as she is.

Not sure what the doctora said to Majo, but I hope her condition is operable/curable.

I hope that things have gone well for JoelD in what ever his family situation is. It doesn't appear as though he will return. I wish him all the best.

I'm getting further behind on this.

TU AMOR. I too wondered why Beba lied about seeing Consuelo on the security video. Could she be turning against Yolanda after years of insults? Yolanda could practically get a Bad Boss award. I hope JoelD returns at some point. BTW, I'm having dental surgery this afternoon and am not allowed to go to my zumba class this evening. That means I can see tonight's episode with Spanish closed captions and my good tv audio. Lemonade from lemons.

That would also be very revealing. He's about 25-30 years older than she is and I doubt that she ever thought much about what that means right now. Alicia took on his condition, make sure his diet and medications were in order, etc. Juleech is too self-centered to even think about such things.

I agree that Cholo should be running for it. If Eva catches him he's a dead duck. It would also be the perfect opportunity for SerJerk to further sully Alicia's name, which Eva would help him with rather than her.

We got another glimpse into that mother/daughter relationship and it was never good. Eva does not believe in love and we know for sure now that she never loved her only child. We don't know whether Alicia went to college but if she had it looks like Mommy Direst sent her there to try to catch a guy from a "good family," not to have a career of her own.

Is that about Eva's own insecurity about her own lack of education? What do you think?

Thanks SpanProf! OK, so Enrique knows Nora is an imposter. I wonder if he will use it against Patty...

I hope Beba is turning against Yolanda. Guillermo is shunning her but she still has Patricia and Nora (shiver). While I have no hope for Leo's redemption, he will eventually realize Yolanda has used him, as cruelly as Camila. He might end up helping in the end, well, I hope for this if only for Consuelo.

Urban, (never thought I would say it but. . . ) I do wonder how Eva was brought up and whether her hateful attitude might have roots in her past. Good point about the “Mrs. degree” back in Eva’s day. I remember those days well. Yes, if Cholo were discovered it could be very bad news for Alicia but with the fact we are over the half way mark, it might be too hard to fit in many more new plot points to resolve, but who knows?
 

Embajador S2 #55 part 1

Guven calls Riza.

Sancar paces in the prison yard. Another inmate approaches Sancar, I'm very sorry, Sancar Efe, I’m very sorry. Sancar has no idea what this man is talking about. The man explains, Kahraman kicked your loved ones out of the mansion yesterday, and your mother had a heart attack, I’m so sorry.

Sancar grabs the inmate by the collar and yells, what did you say? They kicked them out of the mansion? What happened to my mother? Shady Riza is observing at a distance. The inmate replies, I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am-- Sancar shouts at the group that has formed, who told you that, who? The inmate says, we all heard it, the guards said it. The older inmate who’s befriended Sancar steps in, telling him--let him go, stop it, back off.

Sancar heads to the door and starts banging, Guard! Guard! A guard opens a hatch and asks, did something happen? Sancar tells him, I must make a call. The guard says it will have to wait until tomorrow, it's too late today, sorry. Sancar shouts at the guard, I don't care if it’s late, I'm going to turn this damn prison upside down! The guard calmly replies, you are a prisoner here just like everyone else, you don't have special privilege. He closes the hatch. Sancar bangs on the door and yells, open, you idiot! The older inmate warns Sancar, calm down or they will put you in isolation for a week, you have to be patient.

Elvan visits Halise. Feride is sitting at her bedside. How do you feel, suegra, cheery Elvan asks? How is the best MIL in the whole universe? Let's see… she's a very spoiled patient. Will she spend the whole day in the bed? Halise stays silent and pouts.

Feride speaks up, don't waste your saliva, Elvan. I already told you she's stubborn as a goat. Elvan laughs, for me her soul is as soft as a cloud. [now I’m laughing] Who is the most adorable MIL? So adorable is that she will have her operation now, right?

Halise grumbles and answers, not yet, Elvan, my decision is made. Elvan replies, oh no ... we are trying to relieve your heart and you are destroying ours. You’re going to have the operation. If something happened to you, do you know what would happen to us? [yes, they might all have a chance for a HEA]

Halise stands firm, don't be childish. I decided not to have the operation until I say goodbye to my son, understand? Not even you can convince me. Elvan whispers, I can't believe it, this woman is stubborn. Elvan gives up, it's okay, suegra.

Guven gets the scoop from Riza. He says excellent, let's see how Sancar deals with his new reality. You must not let him discover you, it is not time yet.

Guven turns around to find Nare standing there. He says, you hung up on me a while ago when we spoke on the phone. I see since yesterday you want to be by your father’s side. I always wanted you to be an obedient girl, but every family he has its black sheep [I believe that would be Akin]. You remembered that your dad loves you. Guven looks pleased that his evil plan might be working and Nare looks like she’s been given the death sentence.

Nare gathers herself. She tries to bargain with her rat bastard father. Leave Sancar alone, your problem is with me. If you give the prosecutor the video, I guarantee that you will not see me anymore. I'm going to disappear from your life. If you want us to be a family and be close, we will have to go together. But leave Sancar alone, please.

Guven pretends to look interested, tell me, where would we go? Nare throws it out there, I don't know, I don't know, maybe a country in South America. Choose a country from the map, whichever you prefer. Guven thinks for a few seconds and says with a smile, Rio. Nare agrees, okay, I like Rio.

Embajador S2 #55 part 2

Then Guven gives it a few more seconds and decides, not that… never. I have spent my whole life getting on and off planes, I like this place. You have always wanted Melek and her dad to be together, and now that your dad will be with you, she will be alone. Impossible. Guven watches Nare’s reaction carefully.

Nare tries again, if you save her father from life imprisonment, Melek will stay with him. She will stay in the mansion, she will finally take root. She will have what I never had and at last she will have friends. Guven doesn’t like this option. Is Melek going to stay here, he asks? Nare replies, I ruined her childhood with you, dad. You, Melek and I will never be happy. We tried it before, it didn't work. She will stay with her dad, her aunts and uncles and her grandmother. She will be the princess of the mansion. Let Sancar be free.

Guven says…. no, no, never. I wouldn’t feel comfortable at all. [Turkish] Remember the last time I put you in a clinic? If you can't be with Melek, this time you'll lose your mind. No, as a parent, I can't let you go through that. [there are no words left to describe this disgusting person]

Nare slams her hand on the desk and jumps up, tell me what you want! Let's end this problem once and for all. Guven tells Nare, I wish you the best. Look, you would even leave Melek to free that idiot peasant. If you are doing this out of love, it's not good for you. This situation is changing you completely. Gediz and you will be able to form a family. Sancar can also see Melek. Melek would have her mother, her dad, her grandfather, and Gediz my dear. Do you understand many people will be happy with this one decision that I made?

Nare sees what her father really wants. You want revenge on Sancar and me, she tells him. You want to see us die like dogs, don't you? Guven hisses, Sancar… yes. I will never forget how he made us suffer. Guven puts his hand on Nare’s arm….but to you... never…. never. Nare, if you could see the situation in another way, you would understand me. If the peasant hadn't shown up, you would have gotten married with dear Akin. That damned peasant has ruined everything, he has spoiled all our lives--yours, mine, our future. He took my son from me (!), he destroyed my family (!), he's nothing but a farmer (!). Guven growls, and you still love him, huh?

Nare stands up to her father, you don't know how much I hate you! And that garbage, Akin, too. I do not love you and will always hate you! Nare goes to leave. Guven calls out, Gediz will. If Sancar leaves your life, you will love Gediz, too. It will be as if the dear Akin was with you, right? Nare is stunned. She walks out of Guven’s office. She has some hard decisions to make.

Sancar is pacing in his cell. Riza is watching. Sancar is desperate and tells the older inmate, I must escape somehow. The inmate tries to reason with him, are you really thinking of escaping? They could set you free; they still haven't sentenced you! Sancar is distraught, my mother suffered a heart attack, the guard didn't let me call her—he's trying to provoke me. Just wait and see what I’m capable of. I'm going to escape from this place, I swear! Riza leaves the cell and Sancar gives him suspicious look on his way out.

Riza contacts Guven with the update. Sancar went crazy when he heard about his mother. He even plans to escape. This is good news for Guven who says, we'll have to help him escape soon. Do not bother Sancar now.

Sancar goes out to the yard. Riza follows him. Sancar turns on him, what do you need? You have not stopped following me all day. Riza answers, calm down, I’m just walking. Don't be mad at me, I just want to help you. Sancar asks, are you serious? Riza says, no one here knows about this. Sancar asks, what is this about?

Embajador S2 #55 part 3

Riza says, I have a hidden phone. I heard you were very worried, and I thought you wanted to call someone. Sancar asks, will you help me? Riza replies, just keep it a secret. If they discover us, they will punish us. Sancar says, don't worry, nobody will know. I never turn on the people who help me. Riza says, let's go and they go inside.

Nare shows at the hospital and asks about Halise. Zehra explains the situation and thinks that maybe Halise will listen to Nare. Zehra gets a call from an unfamiliar number. It’s Sancar and he’s ticked. How is she, he asks? Brother, is that you? Sancar answers, yes, it's me, the brother who you lied to about three or four hours ago. Zehra replies, we did it so not bother you, do not worry. Mom is fine. The doctors told us she will get better with a bypass, but she says she will do it only after talking to you. A very worried Sancar says to tell Halise he will find a way and he asks Zehra to make sure the doctors take good care of her.

Nare asks to speak with Sancar. Zehra tells Sancar and hands Nare the phone. Riza lurks nearby with a knife. Sancar? Sancar rips into Nare, did you see? Did you see what happens when you act without telling me?! [yes, we saw!] Nare answers, it's true, but—Sancar interrupts, it's true but what?! But what?! Nare weakly offers, well… I wanted to save you from prison.

Sancar laments, you were going to save me from being here, I tried to save you. He shouts, we screwed it up. Good for us, bravo, great! We ruined everything, congratulations! There’s silence. Nare asks, Sancar, do you hear me? Sancar, answer me please.

Riza makes his move… he stabs Sancar and leaves. Sancar cries out and Nare is alarmed. Sancar? He groans and says her name. Nare is frightened, Sancar, what happened? Sancar, answer! He whispers her name.., Nare… as he sinks to the floor. Nare starts shouting, Sancar, Sancar…what happened, what did they do to you? Answer me, please!
Nare hears the guards---what are you doing lying there? He's hurt, he's hurt! Guards, he's injured, call the doctor. Nare gasps and continues to shout, hello, hello? Can someone hear me? What happened to Sancar? She hears the guard say, go to the infirmary, he's bleeding a lot.

Sancar is brought to the hospital. The family is there as he is wheeled in. They wait as he has surgery. The doctor comes out and tells them it went well, there were no complications. He will be fine. Everyone is relieved. They wheel Sancar out of the operating room and Nare goes to his side, Sancar, open your eyes and please let me see their light.

Elvan rushes over to Nare and asks, is Sancar okay? Nare nods yes. But Elvan has some unfortunate news for her friend. Melek fainted and they brough her to the hospital. She’s okay but just here for observation. When they get to Melek’s room, Ceylan is outside. Elvan is upset with her for leaving Melek alone. Ceylan explains, I didn't leave her alone, her grandfather wanted me to leave them.

They enter the room and see Guven has brought Melek a doll and is playing with her. Nare asks Melek if she is okay. Melek looks happy and she tells her mom, grandpa told me that you had made peace and now we will all live together happily, is that true? Will dad come with us, and we will be happy? Nare shoots daggers at her dad.

Nare asks Elvan to stay with Melek and motions for her dad to step outside with her. Melek asks her mother to stay, don’t go. Nare assures her daughter, I'm not going far, your grandfather has to go to work and I'm going to say goodbye to him, okay? Guven says goodbye to Melek, don't worry, beautiful, everything will be fine. Nare, Gediz and Guven leave the room.

Nare asks Guven, what are you doing with my daughter? You did this to Sancar, right? You must be very proud. Guven replies, I did not harm Sancar, you are the guilty one. Stop blaming others and accept what you've done, you not only ruined your life, but also your daughter's and the peasant’s and his family’s. They would be peaceful if you had not appeared in their lives.

Gediz steps in, stop bothering her. The poor thing is carrying everything. I don’t intend to let you blame Nare for something that is your fault. Guven looks at Nare, even if you deny it, you know it. From this day on, whatever happens to Sancar will only depend on you. Think wisely, an innocent man suffers for your insolence, just because you don't want to follow your beloved father's wishes.

Guven walks away and Gediz starts to go after him. Nare stops him. She needs to sit. Elvan comes out and asks, is your dad blackmailing you? Listen, if that’s what it takes for Sancar to be okay, you have to accept it. If it is something material, we will replace it. We only care about health, Nare.

Nare and Gediz watch Sancar through the ICU window. Gediz sadly tells Nare, I will do it if you accept. We were defeated. Our damn stubbornness ended up wounding Sancar. [that’s right] Gediz promises, I'll be your friend and partner, I will never touch you. I fell in love with you, he says, and I always dreamed of a real wedding. It's not going to be like that, I know. I'm going to do what falls on me, Nare. You have to save Sancar. Let's stop our selfishness. Sancar and the Efeoglus need us to save them.

Nare walks away from the window. Gediz follows her. They sit. She tells him, it was a bad idea to fall in love with me. Look at where our lives are. Do you think marrying me is a good idea? Gediz replies, do you feel guilty for everything that happened? Nare answers, what else could I do, Gediz? When I came, the lives of the Efeoglus were ruined.

She says, when I arrived, Sancar had a wife, and perhaps he would have had a son, and you (Gediz and Sancar) may not have parted. If I hadn't come ... perhaps Melek would miss her father, but the Efeoglus would not have fallen into ruin. When you asked me to marry you, didn't you consider that this could happen to you, Gediz? What if my curse affected you, too? Gediz answers, I can't know what's going to happen, Nare. What happened to Sancar is our fault. Your dad could hurt him back in prison. I will not allow my partner and friend die in a prison. I can’t.

A bit of time has passed, and we see Nare outside of Guven’s hotel room. Elvan calls her to let her know that Sancar finally woke up. Nare sighs with relief. She tells Elvan, I must do something very important, so I'll call you later, okay? Nare braces herself and knocks on Guven’s door.

Nare tells Guven, you got away with it, I give up. Give them back the mansion. Sancar must be freed as soon as possible. No one will know about this deal we made. Sancar will never know. If he finds out, he will never want to go back to the mansion again. Guven responds, that’s great, but he'll want to know who saved him, don't you think? Nare says she will take care of that. And she has one more request. Guven says she shouldn’t tempt her luck, but he says he will listen. Nare asks, I want to say goodbye to Sancar.

They edited a bit here. Gediz convinces the guards to let Melek see Sancar. Elvan brings Melek in. She wakes up her sleeping dad. Sancar is overjoyed to see her, and they hug. Elvan is happy, too. She tells Sancar, the doctors say you are fine, and you will be discharged tomorrow. Melek was very worried and Gediz brought her. We thought she would help you feel better. Sancar is grateful.

Melek asks, dad, did you come because you got sick? Sancar replies, something like that. Melek explains that she got sick, and that's why they brought her. But I'm fine now, she says, and she asks her dad, when are you going to recover? She tells him, I drew a picture, I did it to cheer you up. She looks at Elvan, can we give it to him?

Melek continues, I had a beautiful dream. The sun was shining, it was sparkling, and it was summer. You, me, mom and Gece would ride together. Nare appears by the door and listens in. Why don't we go to the forest you told me about and camp? We will go when you recover, okay?

Sancar explains to Melek, your dad will always be by your side and in your heart. I would like to see you smile, be with you, little one. [oooh… when she puts her little hands on her father’s face…] You and your mother are my reason for being. But we cannot be together. Even if we try, life always separates us.

Melek gives her father encouragement, it will happen if we want it, we will be able to be together, you must not give up, dad. Sancar responds, I love you, Melek and she rests her head on him. Where is your mother, he asks, is she okay? Melek answers, yes, she’s okay. She would never abandon you, she won’t be long. [she’s only doing something else behind your back] Nare moves away from the door.

The guard comes in, time is up or there could be problems. Sancar thanks him. More kisses and hugs and I love yous between father and daughter.

Elvan and Melek leave the hospital and the little girl spots her Uncle Yahya. He picks her up and notes, you are very heavy, you have grown more every day. Elvan gives him a dirty look. Yayha tells Elvan, if you’re going home I’ll take you. Elvan flatly turns down the offer. Nare and Gediz come out. Nare says that Gediz should take them home. Nare turns to Yahya and tells him they need to talk.

Yahya is listening. Nare says, it’s nothing bad, stay calm. I want to ask your help. If you help, Sancar will be able to get out of prison, you will recover the mansion, and Sra. Halise will have surgery. Yahya is skeptical, how are we going to do it? Did you find the genie in the lamp? Nare replies, it’s not important how it happens, you will become the hero. Yahya looks very interested.

Guven gets off the phone with someone. I assume it’s to take care of his end of the bargain. He sends a text to Nare: "I did what you asked, you can see Sancar for the last time. "

Sancar is happy to see Nare. Nare asks if he is okay. Yes, he replies and adds, I'm very sorry to have worried you. [Turkish for the rest of this scene] Nare ... did you cry because of me? She answers, for you, for me, for my daughter, for our entire lives.

Sancar sighs, I know. Everything has gone wrong. I’ve been bound hand and foot. But then he smiles at her, there is still hope, huh? Nare replies, no, Sancar Efe, hope dies where I stand, even the game of happiness has died. Sancar looks worried. Truth and lies are mixed together and I seem to run in the dark, she tells him, I don't have the strength to face this, Sancar.

Sancar laughs, have you come to console me or kill me? Nare answers, both… We have both suffered. Since childhood we both knew something would happen to us and that we weren't made for each other. It didn't work, you saw it. It's true, what we feel is right, but what we constantly experience is wrong. We know that destiny is not to blame. We are not for each other, Sancar.

Sancar asks her, you just stabbed me in the heart but don’t turn it. We took off our rings, maybe nothing will ever be the same, but don't take my dreams away from me. Nare says, there is no dream left, Sancar. How many people have died for our love, how many more have suffered?

She continues, our lives were ruined. I don't know-- if you will accept this soon. Maybe you will, maybe you never will, but— I am no more. Sancar is stunned. You asked, and I decided, she says... there is no ambassador's daughter waiting for you out there. And for your information, I got rid of the rings. With that, she gets up and quickly leaves the room. Sancar starts to get up and shouts after her, Nare! Nare! Stop! The guards appear at the door and there is nothing else Sancar can do.

And we are out.

Honestly, I can't bear to watch the scenes with Guven. Somebody needs to take a baseball bat to him. How he's still enthralled with the man that raped his daughter!!! How Nare's mother must've suffered with this entitled dirtbag.

True, we really don't have room for another new plot line; there are already more things up in the air than there need to be.

SerJerk should soon realize that he threw away a treasure and picked up trash instead. I don't think the dinner party will go as he hopes and Juleech will slip up and be what we're anticipating. I can't see any of her future stepchildren warming up to her and Miranda's lack of a filter could expose something SerJerk will not like in her. She had already suggested that Miranda be shipped off to a boarding school. Does this sound familiar?

Guven is a god awful person. What the hell...is all I could think when he was singing the praises of Akin...who is a rapist. He cares absolutely nothing about Nare. I need the writers to explain how this idiot piece of trash can dare dangle the name of his daughter's rapist to her face like that...as if the rapist was a saint and she misunderstood his intension. That is beyond sick. And its torture. I wanted Nare to find something and bang him upside his head as he spoke about his "dear son".

Sure hope Nare does not have to go thru with a wedding to Gediz to save Sancar. Gediz is showing remorse but I don't think he deserves the gift of a marriage to her...even if it is a sham. And he would try to work it to his favor eventually. And above all...Melek deserves stability and not the confusion of a sham marriage...and new step father.

Nare should do everything in her power to avert any influence from Guven over Melek. He's just as perverted and creepy as Akin was in my opinion. Wouldn't want my daughter calling him grandpa.

Dondi, so missed the beginning of this episode, so I especially grateful for your excellent retelling of all the misery and mayhem. Sandra cannot catch a freaking break. Now he gets stabbed in prison. What is it about San that makes Guven's mission to torture and destroy him ? Because he finally fell off that cliff with Akin and ended his depraved life ? Is it jealousy because San is everything that Given isn't ? Is it somehow a sick obsession with his own daughter ?

In the meantime , where is,Kman? Has he just sailed into the sunset ?

How are the starcrossed lovers ever going to have a HEA?....Matbe they aren't ?

After stabbing his bff San in the back repeatedly, is Gediz going to get Nare? I am confused. Where is this going ? What message are the writers sending us. Love hurts? Love scars?
 

OT...Dondi, I am still skipping my way around Fatmagul . I find the chemistry between Kemir and Fatmagul is much stronger than the chemistry between San and Nare. I believe San is,head over heels for Nare, but the actress,playing Nare is not making me believe her total devotion to San . Her portrayal seems,to be getting flatter and flatter. JMHO Loving "Fatmagul." So grateful that you recommended it. Love the look into Turkish life . I just found two beautiful scarves that student from Turkey gave me that are similar to the one that Fatmagul gave to Meryem.

Did I miss that Guven has something else to hold over their heads? He needs to have a lethal accident.
I like that Gediz has gotten his conscience back.

DEJAN Episode 49 A Hidden Treasure Part 1

I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail. Poisoned in the bushes and blown out on the trail. Hunted like a crocodile ravaged in the corn. “Come in” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm” – Bob Dylan

Previously: A grief stricken Facundo succumbs to his addiction, wounding Maruja and Martin, leaving him susceptible to Mujica’s murmurings. Rebecca and Fabian grieve over the progression of her insidious disease. Martin opines about love. Moises declares his (unfathomable) determination to marry Yuri. Culebra professes feelings for Miranda yet allows her worst enemy close proximity. Sergio basks in his daughters’ devotion as Julieta presides over a celebratory dinner where Alicia, the loyal, loving and devoted wife and mother has been replaced by her vicious, vacuous and scheming self. Cholo, tucked away, fumbles and stumbles as Alicia investigates.

Alicia peers around the corner calling for Yaya. Everything is a mess and Alicia suspects rats. She picks up a dinner plate which Yaya attributes to Miranda as she had a habit of eating up there. Escaping detection, Cholo closes his eyes and breathes a sigh of relief.

Leandro and Natalia greet Gonzalo warmly, which does not go unnoticed by Sergio. Gonzalo looks guilty as sin. Sergio asks how they know each other and as Natalia is about to say they study together, Gonzalo interrupts and says they studied together at the university. Leandro later explains to Natalia that Gonzalo wants to keep his study at the cooking school a secret.

At the not quite festive gathering, Yuri compliments Julieta on the dinner she didn’t make as Sergio thanks them all for coming. Julieta tries to give the cheerleader speech about them being all together but Gonzalo isn’t quite on board, telling Sergio that this dinner won’t fix their relationship. Julieta and Miranda spar. Julieta tries to steer the conversation elsewhere and urges them to concentrate on the good things. Gonzalo fires back, telling her that she is the one that caused all the problems! Julieta returns the punch, saying that Sergio and Alicia’s marriage was already in shambles. Yuri tries to keep the peace, admitting all of this is complicated and that it is difficult to come to another house and have dinner with their father.

Martin tries to reason with Facundo, saying he can’t believe Mujica would do what he said for his brother. There are still things that don’t jive. Facundo can’t stop thinking about Simon, wondering if he did truly know him. Martin assures him that Simon was his son and a few things that Facundo may not have known will never change that.

Alicia, her eyes wet with tears takes out her notebook and flashes back to when Martin gave it to her. She recalls their sweet and lingering kisses. Alicia writes that “Martin” has now become a bad word in her life but that previously, that word brought her happiness. She has come to understand that time is not on their side and that while they can’t be together in this life, perhaps in another one.

Miranda is enjoying her dessert as Yuri, is constantly checking her watch. Julieta tries to get them to stay as Yuri jumps out of her seat and her skin wanting to leave. When Yuri comments that the food delicious, Miranda thinks that Gonzalo should learn how to prepare it. Sergio snarls that the worst thing that could happen would be seeing Gonzo in the kitchen with the women! After insulting Leandro and top chefs everywhere, Sergio then rants about Yuri needing to resume her “normal” life which translates to returning to the attorney’s office and to her wedding. Yuri as aghast and after these unwelcome and unwarranted sentiments, everyone prepares to leave. Wearing a Cheshire cat smile, Julieta hopes this won’t be the last family dinner. Leandro is thanked with praise and handshakes.

DEJAN Episode 49 A Hidden Treasure Part 2

Julieta takes Sergio’s arm in a proprietary manner walking their guests to the door as they take their leave.

Yuri thinks that the dinner wasn’t too bad. Gonzo thinks it was all just a show on his father’s part so he could look good.

For some reason I thought Cholo was stashed in the attic but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Yuri flings open the door, surprising him. Cholo has made himself at home, snug as a bug with a made up bed set out on the floor. Cholo explains his too close for comfort near run in with Alicia. Yuri is just happy that he, the love of her life, is there. As their kisses get more amorous, Cholo gently removes Yuri’s earring, carefully placing it on a shelf. Viewerville shake our heads wondering how Yuri is going to explain that away when it’s found ��.

The next morning, Alicia wearing a blazer with shoulder pads reminiscent of Krystal Carrington, enters the kitchen to begin her day. Alicia wonders where Yuri is and then goes to her room to find her.

Yuri, who unfathomably doesn’t seem to realize she is harboring a wanted criminal in her own house, is still with Cholo as though she doesn’t have a care in the world. Yuri admits she can’t remember falling asleep. Cholo however does remember...and it was the best night of his life. Yuri thinks that every time will be better.

Still wearing last night’s dress, Yuri fails to blend in with the woodwork, telling Alicia that she fell asleep in the study. Alicia asks about the evening and Eva is more blunt asking how dinner with the concubine went. Yuri explains that the dinner was good and her father, nice and Julieta, okay. Miranda does mention that Sergio and Gonzalo did almost get in an argument. Alicia offers to take Miranda to school but surprisingly, Sergio will be doing the honors.

Martin notices that Sofia is in a better mood. Carlota tells him that Sofia got her smile back when he got his common sense back. Not to be deterred by Carlota’s negativity, Martín mentions his new job. Carlota just can’t help herself. She snidely hopes that he doesn’t fall in love with his boss’s mother. Thank you for the coffee Martin says tersely, obviously reaching his breaking point, tell Sofia I will be in the car. Sofia comes in and rightfully guesses Carlota was fighting with Martín. Sofia suggests her mother follow her own advice.

Julieta and Sergio congratulate themselves on a successful night. Sergio sees the article and comments that it is good but then sees that Martin wrote it. He vows to bar traitorous Mabel from the house and will not rest until Martin’s life is ruined. In a different venue, Alicia also sees the article which reduces her to tears. She crumples it up and bottom feeder Eva, right behind her, picks it up and reads it.

Fedora is inexplicably at home when Samuel prepares to enter. He fiddles with the lock and it is soon apparent the key no longer works. Lorena sneaks down the stairs of her glass fish bowl, hugging the wall, trying to stay out of sight. Samuel knocks on the door calling out for her. Receiving no response he goes to the glass, his cries and knocks getting more demanding and frantic. On the phone, Rebecca tells Fedora she did the right thing. As Samuel screams that she opens the door, Rebecca tells Fedora to call the police. As his agitation escalates, Fedora runs behind the bar as the assault continues.

Several father/daughter conversations take place en route to school. Miranda tells Sergio that she only took one sleeping pill...and vows she has never done drugs. Sergio believes her, then asks if she wants to live with him. Without the slightest bit of hesitation or guilt, Miranda gushes that she would love it! Sergio will find a way…

DEJAN Episode 49 A Hidden Treasure Part 3

Martin and Sofia discuss Carlota. Sofia is very worried about her mother...she seems to be mad at herself. Martin kisses her goodbye as Miranda alights from the car in front of theirs.

Martin knocks on the car’s window. Receiving an unexpected and most unwelcome surprise, it is Sergio who rolls down the window. Anger is palpable and insults are exchanged, Sergio telling Martín that his relationship with Alicia has no future while Martin admonishes him for still calling Alicia his wife when he is living with Julieta with whom he cheated on Alicia with for three years!

Miranda and Nicole get into it, Nicole the instigator as always. Nicole welcomes Miranda to her hell.

Samuel’s is shaking with rage as he tries to break down Fedora’s door. Samuel screams he will not forgive her!! Rebecca advises not to leave the house too soon...and when she does, she should come over to her house.

Maruja asks Facundo for help with some boxes. He retorts that he needs to go out and callously spews that he needs to be alone with his grief so she needs to leave him in peace.

Yaya has her mop ready to clean Cholo’s hideaway but Yuri has another idea. She will do it. Yaya is reluctant but Yuri sweet talks her into it.

Karina shows Gutierrez three old files that seems to have something in common...incidents that happened at the marketplace. Mujica enters, interrupting them. Karina doesn’t think Yuri will meet Cholo after what happened. Gutierrez stares inscrutably.

Cholo tries to eat his breakfast as he stares at Yuri, reveling in his attention. More kissing ensues as Yuri tells Cholo that he is the most important person in her life...she hopes they have many more such wonderful moments. Cholo clouds the spell with his honesty, doubting it as they are bound to catch him.

Leandro asks Gonzalo what happened last night...is he embarrassed to be part of the cooking class? Gonzalo admits that his family relationship is complicated, particularly with his father. When Gonzo admits that his father would be upset, Leandro advises that he needs to tell his dad sooner or later. Lorena asks what is wrong and Gonzalo gratefully accepts her comforting hug.

DEJAN Episode 49 A Hidden Treasure Part 4 (Last)

Carlota is STILL counseling Alicia who is none the wiser. Time for a license revocation. Alicia is leery about Sergio taking Miranda to school... he is up to something. When Carlota asks how things are going, Alicia tells her that leaving Martin is harder than she thought, she prefers to do that than be in pain. Carlota tells her that pain is the way to get Martin out of her system. Alicia is puzzled by Carlota’s change of mind (and heart we add scathingly). Carlota explains that Martin has brought her many problems and has become more of an obstacle. She asks if they have seen each other so Alicia tells her about Martin’s last phone call.

Mabel thinks that article was relay good and wonders if it had to do with something personal. Martin deflects and does not answer the question.

Sergio greets Lucas with barely concealed annoyance (as he always does). Sergio immediately assumes Lucas wants money and wastes no time telling him there will be no more. Lucas asks for a new therapist for his mother as she isn’t making progress. Lucas says he just wants to have coffee with him and states he won’t bother him further. Sergio has Chela to bring coffee and gets up to call the hospital. Lucas recalls Meche telling him how to get a DNA test with a saliva sample and with Sergio’s back turned, switches mugs and leaves with Sergio’s in hand.

Nicole and her little henchie’s taunting of Nicole continues as she asks her why she is always alone. She then mocks that Miranda must have already slept with Culebra...does she know how many girls he has been with? Culebra comes up and finally comes through telling Nicole to leave his novia alone. To drill home the point, they kiss as Nicole watches nonplussed.

Facundo goes back to the bar and asks for a drink. The reluctant bartender tells him that Martin told him not to serve him. When Facundo threatens to go to another bar, the bartender feels he has no choice but to give him what he wants and does so.

Worried about Yuri’s proximity to Moises, Cholo asks Yuri if they share an office. Yuri smiles and reassures Cholo that no, everyone has their own office. Yaya knocks and tells Yuri that the police are outside, quickly dispersing this sweet daydream.

Mabel and Martin are comfortably sitting at a restaurant table where she probes him about his life life. Martin replies that it is a disaster and asks to change the subject. They toast to better luck in love in the future. As timing continues to be problematic for Martin, Alicia and Fedora (who apparently managed to escape her house unscathed) suddenly appear. Fedora’s sharp eye is laser focused and asks Alicia, “isn’t that Martín??”

Anyone interested by this? I'm currently watching the Mexico airings and it's a camp fest wrapped in a bumbling mess of WTF moments. The female prota is the best at making bad decisions, 30 year olds have 40 year old as parents and nothing that happens is even remotely plausible in real life. I LOVE IT!

Gonzo and Cholo both lucked out last night.

Loved when Julieta talked about relationships having expiration dates and Miranda asked when the expiration date of hers and her father’s relationship was.

Well, Fedora finally took one good step with changing the locks. Too bad she didn’t follow Rebeca’s advice and call the police on Samuel. Bet that comes back to bite her.

I was impressed with Lucas and his smooth move in getting Sergio’s DNA.

Sad but Facundo will do what Facundo will do. It is up to him to deal with the consequences. Too bad he has a family that has to witness it.

Sergio seemed just a bit aggravated when Martín literally got in his face and refused to back down. LOL

Finally a win for Miranda as the new novia.

I did not understand Miranda's comment to Julieta and appreciate your including it. Miranda has no issue dishing it out does she? And I'm grateful as otherwise Nicole would have pushed her beyond the brink. I am just waiting for her to appreciate her mother more. I am thinking she will regret her decision to live with Sergio. At least I hope so.

Am hoping Facundo has a lightening bolt moment that makes him come to his senses. Losing a father/husband as well as a child/parent would be too much for this very small family.

If Sergio is proven to be Lucas' father, I sadly sense it will make no difference to Sergio.

Gonzalo will have to come clean about his new career. It seems unlikely that he could have kept this secret for even this long.

Yuri was her usual civil self at Juleech's house but otherwise she's lost her marbles. She can't continue to hide Cholo for much longer now with the police waiting to talk to her.

Here's also hoping that her unexpected tryst doesn't result in pregnancy.

I hate Carlota even more now. She should be not only smart enough to realize that she will never get Martin back and now she has torpedoed her professional ethics.

The writers screwed up with the Fedora scene. Instead of calling Rebecca she should have been calling the police. Samuel was in such an insane rage why wasn't he breaking those picture windows? I get that the writers might not want to kill Fedora off yet, but this made no sense at all.

That pink jacket is a Fashion Felony which will definitely make the next edition of Crimes of Fashion.

Good for Martin that he called SerJerk out on his hypocrisy.

Urban, Yuri is totally contradictory. She's intelligent in some respects, infantile in others. Trying to hide and protect Cholo will come to a crashing stop soon.

I also wondered why Samuel didn't try and break the glass...perhaps he thought the better of it through his haze of rage, realizing he would be locked up.

In addition to the jacket's obvious shoulder pads, they were woefully misshaped and misplaced. I could not stop staring. Edith Head is aghast.

Urban, there is usually at least one unexpected pregnancy per novela so it looks like it could be Yuri if there is going to be one. It would be funnier if it were Julieta as they haul her off to the big house for her DUI and mockery of the law. Sergio a new daddy at his age. Then, it could be Miranda if Diego’s protection wasn’t in tip top shape.

Sounds like we are all ready for someone to do something smart . . . besides Nelson, Bennie and Lucas (!)

SerJerk needs also to be called out for implying that Yuri should prioritize this (canceled) marriage over her career. Could that have called Juleech's attention to the possibility that she could be provoking this demand if she married him?

The possibility that Lucas isn't SerJerk's son shows that Prudencia -- whom he threw away as he is now throwing Alicia away -- possibly deceived him into child support for the required period of time. He is just selfish enough to try to sue her for that and the medical costs he just paid.

That he is trying to destroy Martin's career is bad enough and already beyond the pale.

TU AMOR. It looks as if Nora is busted again! How will she get out of this one? Val has told Claudio that she did not sleep with Ricardo. And Claudio has told her that Nora was the one who said she did, and that he realizes that Nora is not a reliable source, though Val tries to stand up for her sister. Even though Nora will no doubt try to talk her way out of this, as by merest chance she appears right at that minute, she has probably torpedoed even the slight chance she had with Claudio. Are we supposed to believe that the curse on Horacio's grandfather's money is real? Really spooky how grandfather's picture dropped just as Horacio was about to remove his money from the room. Adelaida has pinpointed the longitude/latitude location as New York. Once again, I hope it's not a military cemetery. Consuelo was not able to find the video of Camila, though she did take some of Yolanda's designs. Leo seems to think it's almost funny that Majo is on death's door. Is there any punishment that would be enough for this sociopath? And isn't it about time that something positive happened for one of the good guys?

The forced sham marriage does seem to have an easy fix once the video is released….and sancar is out of jail. Nare needs to get to sancar and explain the blackmail and divorce gediz asap. Sancar cant be tried twice…presumably once he is released. But nare never takes the obvious road to solve problems

Although the dinner was a bit eventful, you are right in that there were no major revelations.

Prudencia seems like a saint and even now seems to care about Sergio. I'm starting to wonder though if she did stray and Lucas isn't Sergio's, which he seems to have maintained all along. But he keeps paying. Out of guilt or some other reason remains to be seen.

Since Facundo has slid into depression and believing all the lies and hype, it seems it's up to Karina to get to the bottom of Simon's death.

I really don't think anyone is pregnant but if that isn't the case, I agree with you Rgv Chick that it may be Lorena. I'm sure Yuri is taking precautions and Miranda is out of the question (I say fingers crossed).

Embajador S2 #56 part 1

Sancar is brought from the hospital to the courthouse. He asks his lawyer, what am I doing here? The lawyer has very good news. The prosecutor received new evidence and there will be another hearing. Sancar is shocked and asks about the evidence. It’s a video that can prove you are innocent, the lawyer says, and you could be released this afternoon. All that’s left for Sancar to do is get dressed for court.

Nare and Gediz show up outside of Guven’s place. They silently walk to the door. Gediz knocks.

Sancar’s hearing goes well. The judge speaks, the video was analyzed and it agrees with the defendant's statement. Sancar Efeoglu did not act with the intention to murder the victim. The evidence presented shows that the defendant acted in self-defense. The recommendation is that Sancar be acquitted of the alleged crime of which he is accused.

Kavruk laughs and whispers to Yahya, Sancar will go free. Where did you get the video from Yahya? Yahya can’t answer that question.

We see Halise being wheeled into surgery.

We cut to the very unhappy wedding ceremony of Ms. Nare Celebi and Mr. Gediz Isikili. The officiant begins: no legal problem was found in the petition of marriage. Now I will ask you to answer in front of the witnesses present. [The witnesses are Kman and Muge.] Gediz Isikili, do you accept Nare Celebi as your wife of your own free will and without someone forcing you to do it? Gediz stares at Guven and is silent for a moment. He finally answers, “evet”, yes. Nare Celebi, do you accept Gediz Isikili of your own free will and without someone forcing you to do it? Nare looks at Guven, then hesitates. She finally answers, “ediyorum”, I do. [The only happy person at this wedding is Guven.]

Now back to a happier event, Sancar’s hearing. The judge states, the court has considered that the accused, Sancar Efeoglu, will not receive any sentence because he acted in legitimate self-defense. And not being arrested and in prison, the court unanimously decided to write a letter to the prosecution to drop all charges. Sancar flashes the biggest smile of relief and turns to share the happiness with, Zehra, Yahya and Kavruk in the gallery.

Guven has poured some celebration champagne. Congratulations, he says to the unhappy couple, it's the best day of my life. He offers a glass to Nare, let's have a drink, daughter. She just stares at him. Guven moves to his new SIL, Gediz, who takes the drink, downs it like a shot and throws the glass away.

Cue the Harmandalı because Sancar Efe is a free man. He walks out to a group of family and friends, who applaud and shout their congratulations. Sancar thanks them all with his hand over his heart. Sancar hugs his sister, his brother and his most loyal friend, Kavruk.
A car drives up. Melek hops out and runs to her father, dad! Sancar gets down to meet her and gives her a hug and a kiss and he picks her up. Where is Nare, he asks, did she go park the car? [Unfortunately, we know where Nare is.]

Yahya explains to Sancar as he drives, when I told Kahraman that my brother would leave prison, he almost died. He turned pale and feared for his life! You should have seen his face, since he assumed you thought that he reported you. He even tried to clarify everything for us. He said that he had bought the mansion and that everything was absolutely legit. Then he said he had not bought he mansion, but there was a reason. He said it wasn't his fault, and he signed the papers right away. Sancar smiles.

Melek tells her dad, I made a lot of drawings for you while you were away. Sancar asks what she drew. Melek says she drew her father as a bird so he could fly back home. Sancar smiles, kisses Melek and says, that is exactly what I did, I flew straight to you… his face changes to worry… but your mother didn't and she was not in court. Sancar tries calling Nare, she doesn’t answer. She must be at the hospital, he says.

Yahya asks Zehra about Halise’s operation. She replies that it will take several more hours. Melek says she was the one who convinced Halise to have the operation, promising her that Sancar would come and take her home. Sancar is very proud, [Turkish] listen to this, when the efe’s daughter promises, she keeps her word! They all laugh. Melek says, but I'm also my mother’s daughter. Sancar agrees, yes, you are the daughter of efe and the daughter of the alaca kuş from the legend. Yahya adds, you are just like your uncle. Sancar responds, God forbid, God forbid. [he does the equivalent of our “knock on wood”]

We cut to a bathroom with the sink running. The camera scans around the bath and out into the bedroom and peeks out on the balcony. No one is there.

Guven looks at the marriage certificate. He tells Gediz, Nare will like this too, you'll see. Gediz is not in agreement saying, sure, that's why she's been in the bathroom for half an hour, because she can't contain her happiness. Guven takes it in stride, it's normal for Nare to be upset with me, because I took her away from that stupid peasant. Why are you upset, Gediz, Guven asks? Let's be honest, I know very well that you love Nare. Why do you pretend you're mad at me instead of being grateful? I made you marry the woman you love.

Gediz replies, I don't pretend to be mad at you, because I really am. You don't know anything about your daughter. You built a wall between us by making us marry and now it's impossible get closer to her. Guven tells Gediz not to give up in advance. The peasant will not see Nare again when he finds out you married her. Of course, Nare will be sad, but if you stay by her side and you are patient, I promise you that one day she will find peace and happiness by your side. Do not worry.

Guven adds, what we have to do now is inform everyone of this marriage. Gediz stops him. Don't do it. Don’t pressure Nare. She will announce it when and how she wants. If not, I will tell Sancar everything, and all of your guards will not able to protect you.

Sancar shows up at the hospital and greetings are exchanged. Apparently Feride is annoyed because Sancar did not directly acknowledge her. She says, if you're looking for me, here I am, or is your sight failing like mine? Sancar responds, unfortunately your eyesight never fails you. She asks, who is responsible for your release? I would like to know who I should go to hit. You're already looking for more trouble. Sancar replies, it's also good to see you, aunt, I missed you a lot. Is my mother still in there? Yes, Feride answers, but I highly doubt that she will die.

Sancar questions Refika, what happened? Gediz did not go to court. Refika tells what she knows. I called him, but he never answered me. And he left very early this morning. Someone called. I think someone from abroad came to the port. He said he would come as soon as he finished.

Sancar goes off to find a nurse for an update. He stops to speak with some employees. They welcome him back and he thanks them for everything they have done in his absence. He also asks if they have seen Nare. None of them have seen her. He asks them to keep him informed if she shows up.

Guven tells Gediz, over time you'll understand and I know we'll get along very good. I’m going to love you very much, Gediz. I was very good with Akin. [this gets a look from Gediz]. I may not be a very good father to my daughter, but I am for the men in her life [except for Sancar]. I'm going to be a very good father-in-law, trust me.

Gediz exhales in disgust, so you compare me to Akin? He says, I'm going to see why Nare is taking so long. Guven follows. Gediz knocks at the bathroom door, Nare, it’s Gediz. Open the door. Gediz tries the door and it’s locked. He bangs on the door and starts to worry, Nare! Nare! He breaks in the door. The sink is still running and Nare’s gone missing. Even Guven looks alarmed now.

Sancar is pacing the hospital hallway. He looks at his phone. Elvan notices and goes over to Yahya. She asks if he knows about Nare. Can’t you see that Sancar is walking back and forth and he’s tired of waiting for her, she asks, you know where Nare is, right? Yahya has no idea where Nare is. Why should know, he asks, why is it my problem?

Elvan is irritated. I thought you would at least want to do something good in your life. However, I see that’s not so. By the way, how did you find the video, she asks? Yahya brags, it was really easy, actually. You underestimate your husband too much. Elvan warns him, don't start showing off because I spoke to you. In the original she called him a character in a horror show. Yahya answers, whatever.

Halise’s doctor comes bringing good news, Halise is fine, the surgery turned out much better than planned. She will be in intensive care for now, but she will be fine. The family is overjoyed at the news. Yahya comments that perhaps their problems are over. Sancar gives a worried inshallah. [he knows we still have many more episodes to go.] They wheel Halise out of the operating room. She’s unconscious but they all speak to her. Sancar lets his mother know he’s back. They follow Halise and Feride lags behind [lol].

Gediz and Guven hunt for Nare. Gediz complains about Guven’s guards. How come they didn't see her leave? She even drove away in her car! Guven says, she’s been like this since she was a child. She used to run away whenever something happened she didn’t like. Don't worry, Guven says, she has nowhere to go. Gediz tries calling her---not available.

Guven thinks she might have gone for her daughter and she'll be back. Gediz has a horrifying flashback to the early days of the story. Gediz reads her diary: “Friday, December 6, give your daughter to her father. Saturday, December 7, end your life.” End flashback.

Gediz chokes on the words… end your life. Guven doesn’t understand. Gediz quickly answers, Nare will commit suicide. He heads for his car. Guven tells him, you’re exaggerating. Why would she do something like that? [he clearly doesn’t know his daughter!] Gediz warns, listen to me, don't do anything stupid until I find Nare, understand? If not, I will destroy you before Sancar does! As Gediz drives off, Guven says, seems I picked the wrong idiot.

The Efeoglus keep vigil outside of the ICU. Sancar asks Yahya, do you know where Nare is? Yahya gripes, what's up? Everyone is asking me the same question. How should I know? Sancar is worried and annoyed as he answers, that's okay. I’m very sorry I asked you. Yahya tries to calm his brother, nothing's wrong, our mother is recovering and you just got out of prison. Try to relax a little, then you look for her. Which reminds Sancar—the video you brought to court, tell me about it.

Yahya points to a guy. He is the one who recorded it. I thought you were going to doubt me, so I brought him so you don't question me and don't yell at me. Sancar says Yahya did well.

Sancar calls the young man over. His name is Yusuf. Sancar stops the kid from kissing his hand. [Sancar never lets anyone kiss his hand.] Sancar tells Yusuf, you did a good job. I came back thanks to you. Yusuf replies, that there’s no thanks necessary. Sancar repeats that he was released thanks to the video but then he asks, why did you wait so long?

Yusuf explains he was herding sheep over there. And he saw the fall while he was there. I didn't know it was you, he says, and I recorded it for the internet, I just wanted to share it. Sancar asks, why didn't you do it? Yahya looks nervous. Sancar is beginning to get suspicious. Elvan is observing, too and it looks as if she is suspicious of Yahya.

Yusuf replies, I was afraid to be the only witness, however, I didn’t want to delete it. Although, if I knew it was you ... Yusuf laughs… I give you my word, I would have taken it right away. I wouldn’t have waited so long. And then, Señor Yahya sent his men to the village and I showed them the video just as something interesting.

Sancar looks around and thinks about this. Not sure if he’s completely convinces but he says, I understand. Thanks. Will you ask for something in return? Yusuf replies, I don't want anything, sir. I'm just glad you’re back. Yahya took care of us.

Yahya thinks back. He tells Yusuf, is it clear what you're going to say? Yusuf says don’t worry. Yahya cautions him to pay attention and be careful. Don't tell him a single thing more than what I just told you, understand? He stuffs a wad of bills into Yusuf’s jacket. End flashback.

Sancar tells Yahya he’s going to see Melek. And Yahya breathes a sigh of relief. Elvan looks suspiciously at Yahya.

A desperate Gediz is driving and his progress is impeded by a slow moving, large truck. He’s still trying to reach Nare by phone. Number not available.

Sancar spots Melek outside on a bench with a big lollipop. Is everything alright, he asks as he sits next to her. Where is Gulsiye? Did she buy you that? Melek answers, no, she went for some napkins. My mom bought this for me. Melek looks a bit sad. Sancar looks relieved and smiles, really? Then mom is here? He looks around. Melek answers, she was, but she just left, she's busy.

Sancar’s smile fades. He asks, she left? Where, hija? Did she say something before she left? She was talking to my grandmother's doctor, Melek says, she said my grandmother is fine and that I'll stay at the mansion with you. Now Sancar really senses something is up.

Sancar continues to question his daughter, what else did she say before leaving? She also said she loves me very much. Sancar asks, was your mom okay? How did she seem? Melek answers, she looked pretty sad. You see when she cries, her eyes swell and become very red, and she moves them from side to side.

Melek is looking very sad herself. She exhales, I told her what happened, that the police released you and that you would never leave from our side. She told me that she knew. She knew my dad would always be with me and that we had to take care of each other. Then she started crying again, Melek sniffles, she kissed me and hugged me and she wouldn't let go of me.

Sancar is clearly concerned, but for his daughter’s sake he smiles and gives her a kiss. He tries to explain, well… that was because she missed you, too. You know she hadn’t seen you for a couple of days. Melek asks, so was that why?

Melek starts to cry. Sancar tries to reassure her, yes, it's because she missed you. He kisses her on the forehead and caresses her face. [Turkish] Look at me, he says, the women in the mansion aren’t doing you any good. You became a crybaby, he teases. But now he’s teary, too.

My heart breaks when Melek tells her father, “babam, iyi ki varsin”, Dad, I’m glad I have you. They hold each other tight and Sancar replies, “sen iyi ki varsin”, I’m glad I have you. Melek sobs in her father’s arms. Sancar sheds some tears, too.

Sancar tells Melek, I'll talk to your mother, don’t worry. I’ll convince her, we’ll both get her back in the house, and you will be able to sleep with her again. Okay? Don’t worry. Melek calms down and Sancar changes the subject, you're not going to finish this candy, are you? Because if you finish it, you will become even sweeter and I am going to have to eat you. Do you want me to eat you, he asks? He gives her a couple of kisses and they laugh. Gulsiye returns.

Sancar gets up and looks over at Yusuf speaking with some others.

Gediz calls Refika. Where have you been, she asks? He doesn’t say but asks, is Nare there? Refika doesn’t know, she hasn’t seen her. What's going on? Gediz says they can talk later. Refika takes her son to task, when are you planning to come? Everyone here is asking about you. and I don't even know what to say to them anymore.

Gediz replies, so say you don't know. I'm busy, mom. Say what you want, okay? Refika is not pleased with that answer. Look, your partner has just left prison and his mother is in the hospital. You don't even think to come visit them, son? Gediz hangs up on her. Hello? Gediz?

Muge has arrived and sits with her mother. What did he tell you, Muge asks? Refika is puzzled, he asked me about Nare and then he just hung up on me. Muge says that’s strange. He is supposed to be with Nare. Refika asks, and why would that be? Muge searches for a good answer, well, I don't know. I heard he was with her, I only know that.

Refika complains, your brother doesn't listen to me at all, but he does listen to you. Do you know why I'm always close to Halise, she asks? Pain can bring people closer. In difficult times, it makes you close. I have been between my son and my best friend, Muge. You and your brother must be careful of what you do. Be good with Halise as well as Sancar, she cautions, don't get me in any more trouble.

Muge assures her mom they are not going to do anything, at least they are trying. [well it’s already done!] Refika is suspicious, I think your brother is up to something and you know it. What is it? Sooner or later you are going to tell me. Muge replies, you only annoy us because you are afraid of your best friend. She tells her mom she has to go to the marina and quickly leaves. Muge calls Gediz. He was about to call her. He tells her that Nare escaped and he can't find her. Muge asks how. What happened after the ceremony? Aren’t you at the hotel? Gediz says, she (Nare) started crying after you left and went to the bathroom. How would I know she was going run away? She took her car. Not good news, Muge says. Gediz asks, are you thinking the same as me? Muge says, yes, she already tried, she could do it again, Gediz. What are we going to do, Muge asks?

Gediz says he’s heading to the cliff. You know what that place means to her. Muge asks if she should ask Sancar Maybe he knows where she went. Gediz tells her to hold off, let him see first. We will talk later.

Muge runs into Elvan and she asks, have you seen Nare by any chance? Elvan’s been waiting for her, too. She tells Muge, Nare called me just to ask if they had released Sancar from prison, but that was earlier. Since then, I don’t know anything about her. I called her, but she didn't answer me. I sent her a message, but she hasn't seen it.

Muge asks if you hear from her, give me a call. Please let me know. Elvan senses something is up and asks, did something happen? You look worried. Muge replies, nothing bad happened. I wanted to tell her something about her father. Elvan says okay. But it’s not okay.

Sancar pulls Yusuf aside to talk. Yusuf asks, what's up, sir? Tell me how can I help. Sancar starts, I am grateful to you, you are like a brother now. He asks, are you a shepherd? Yes, Yusuf replies. Sancar says, what luck that you were there to record me falling off that cliff with Akin. And at that distance with so little light. Sancar smiles, laughs and hits Yusuf on the arm, it looked sensational. You must have a professional lens to record, like the ones they use for movies. I didn't know you had that kind of equipment. Let me see it, Sancar asks.

Yusuf has nothing to show. The police kept it, he says, I no longer have my phone. Sancar plays it up, ah! Technology is even better than I thought! Yusuf nods. Sancar continues, and you can even know what a video was recorded with. It can be reviewed and you can find out from whose phone it was recorded.

Yusuf starts to look nervous. Sancar hits Yusuf on the arm again, don't be so nervous, we’re just talking. Sancar continues his questioning, that night it was raining and there was lightning. [Sancar is lying.] Do you remember, Yusuf? How did that come out in the video? Yusuf says he bought a very good phone, he sold some sheep to buy it. Sancar asks about the weather again, do you graze during a big storm with lightning and thunder? Yusuf says yes. You didn't mind getting wet, Sancar asks, did you get wet?

Yusuf nods and Sancar stops kidding around. He stops smiling, slaps his hand on Yusuf’s shoulder and asks, who is making you lie to me like that? Tell me right now. I’ll give Yusuf some credit here, he sticks to his story, I’m not lying, I swear to you. I would never lie to you. [but he is]

Sancar shushes him, I don’t believe you, tell me the truth. Yusuf tries convince Sancar that’s the truth, but Sancar tells him to shut up and he calls him out on the lie. It wasn’t raining that day; I was testing you. Listen don't try to fool me, okay? You act very normal to have recorded someone falling off a cliff and to have freed someone from prison. It is clear to me that something is happening here. Someone asked you to lie, but who did? Sancar says, we don't have a problem, understand? But if you decide not to speak, we will. Sancar asks, are you going to tell me who hired you to lie to me? Sancar guesses, it was my brother, right?

Yusuf is forced to admit, yes, it was your brother. Sancar starts to seethe. Yusuf adds, [Turkish] and then a woman came to give me the rest of the money, and I realized she was the alaca kuş from the legend. Sancar is stunned, what?

And we are out.

We all agree that Guven is toxic trash. He flat out admits he wasn’t a good father to Nare with no shame at all! The look on Gediz’s face when Guven mentioned Akin. But I did get a kick when Guven said “seems I picked the wrong idiot”.

Beth S.: As far as we know, there is nothing else Guven has on Gediz and Nare. And Meanie is still in jail for killing Sahra.

Susanlynn, about that chemistry problem between Sancar and Nare… many viewers commented on this from the beginning of the show. Many blamed the actor pairing. They were stuck on the couples in Kara Sevda or KPA. But I think the writers and director were looking for this and they tease us with it. I also think Neslihan is an amazing actress, but Nare is an extremely damaged character.

“But nare never takes the obvious road to solve problems”. Yes, Nett. But obvious for whom? Only us viewers and that’s too bad. Guven said Nare has a history of running. Nare admitted to being an escape artist earlier in the story. She’s tried suicide twice. Nare told Sancar she didn’t have the strength to endure. Did the alaca kuş fly?

TU AMOR. Diana: Evidently, more tests have to be run on Majo after the surgery, but Rosa Maria has said she is not hopeful. I hope she's wrong, but we'll have to wait and see. I have a bit of hope because apart from the plane crash that started the novela, none of the good guys has died (IIRC), and the only fatalities have been those 2 gangsters who tried to rob Horacio's house.

If Helena is to be pushed over the brink, Majo's death would do it. That would be terrible.

Also, didn't Rosie think Ricardo was going to die?? Unfortunately, he's still here. Sigh.

Guven, the toxic POS, is unbearable to watch. Death is not enough of an anvil for him unless it is excrutiatingly painful and slow...and by slow, I mean years!

I was ambivalent about Gediz, thinking that maybe he was in cahoots with Guven, but it seems that he truly has turned back to Gediz, the loyal friend. I was confused about that flashback where he read Nare's diary. I thought it was a current entry, but you clarified that it was from the early days; thank you for that!

So Nare is going to try to commit suicide a third time??? I have to ditto whoever thought that Nare and Gediz could have easily refusesd to get married, or at least signed false names, once the video was out of Guven's hands.

Sancar is so cute when he gets that big smile -and he and Gediz are at their best when they’re scheming together. I agree with the commenter who suggested Nare (or Gediz) clue in Sancar to the problem they faced. He could have been a part of the solution instead of a bystander. The writers seem to mess with Nare’s character a lot, not sure they have a clear vision of what to do with her.

Thank you Dondi for clueing us into the scenes that were flashbacks. For a moment there when Nare was in a satin robe standing outside I thought Guven might have concocted another disgusting scheme for she & Gediz! Have we ever seen Nare’s Mom? Did he kill her or run her off? ‘Cus he really doesn’t care one ounce for Nare other than as a pawn. —it’s not fair to have to wait til Thursday now for more story!

My heart breaks when I look at that beautiful, dear little girl who has been through so much with these two people she loves who should be giving a secure, peaceful home. And San has gone through help and back attempting to marry Nare , his soulmate since childhood. ..all for nothing ????

Guven has taken over as chief villain now. If he doesn't get a gigantic anvil , I will be disappointed.

Do we know how many episodes are left ?

Dondi...still hopping around "Fatamagul" episodes and reading the well written, insightful recaps on Caray by our great recappoers ( Hi, Vivi) . It was a clever idea to shoot the view from Kerim's shed into the back of the house ( kitchen and Meryems room ) as well as the view from those rooms into the shed. It reminds me of the old movie " Rear Window.

TU AMOR ep 78 part 1

Horacio and Hector get robbed at gunpoint at the market. The thug that hits Hector in the stomach is wearing a t-shirt that says "Wrong Place, Wrong Time". The thieves hop in Horacio's truck and drive away with all of Helena's clothes. Horacio and Hector explain what happened and Claudio thinks they should use the treasure to help Helena. Horacio worries about the curse but Claudio doesn't see what could be worse than what is happenening now. When Helena calls, Hector is afraid to answer, but she just tells him what happened to Majo. Hector and Claudio head for the hospital. Horacio goes to the treasure room and tries to convince himself to ignore the curse. He imagines his grandfather giving him permission, but when he opens the safe, abuelo's portrait falls off the wall making him jump. He changes his mind about taking any treasure and even leaves the cash from his pockets on the way out.

Rosa Maria calls, and Helena tells her that Majo has fainted. RM tells Helena to take her to the emergency room. The ambulance is coming but she looks really bad. Majo ends up in surgery prepped for a brain operation. The surgeon cuts into the top of her head with a scalpel. The surgery looks very real. The surgeon says that something is too inflamed and for now they can only drain it. Majo's blood pressure climbs and her pulse drops. The intercranial pressure has dropped as the doctor drills into her skull. He says they might have missed some bleeding when she was in the hospital before because it was so slight.

Mina is in Camila's room and asks about Ricardo. She says that when she wants to talk to her friend, she doesn't call the orphanage but goes there in person. This gives Camila an idea and she tells Mina that she can come with her. When they arrive at Guillermo's house, Patricia starts to light into Camila but Mina steps in. She tells Patricia that if she's a friend of her father they can talk woman to woman. She thinks her aunt should be able to talk to Ricardo since they're adults. Patricia asks her how she liked the gift she sent her but Mina isn't aware of it. When Lucha takes Mina to show her around the house Patricia starts in on Camila again. Camila stands her ground. She says it's up to Ricardo, whether to see her or not because like Mina said, they're both adults.

Horacio sees Consuelo on the street and tells her not to go to the market because he and Hector were robbed of everything. She asks if Hector is all right and then remembers to ask if Horacio is OK too. He uses the opportunity to ask for a hug because he's so impactado. Later she confesses to entering Yolanda's office to search for Camila's video.

When Hector and Claudio arrive at the hospital, Helena apologizes for calling, because Hector was probably busy selling the clothes. She worries about Majo's insurance but Claudio assures her that it's still valid. Helena can see that something is bothering Hector but he doesn't tell her what happened. Valentina asks to see Claudio alone. He shows her a video of Ricardo kissing her on his phone. She says he stole a kiss from her and demonstrates how he did it on Claudio. Claudio ruins the mood with his insecurities. He says he doesn't believe anything that Ricardo says and wonders if Valentina will feel the same compassion for him because he doesn't know who his biological father is either. Val has to leave in frustration. Later, in the hospital cafeteria, he even asks her if she spent the night with Ricardo.

In the hospital waiting room, Helena tells Hector that she hasn't thanked his mother for helping her sell the clothing. He confesses that they didn't sell the clothes because he was robbed. She hopes that he's joking because she needs the money to pay her employees. Leo makes everything worse by butting in and basically saying I told you it was a bad idea.

 

TU AMOR ep 78 part 2

Rosa Maria tells Helena that they had to do an emergency surgery to drain blood that was putting pressure on Majo's brain. They're waiting for the results of some studies but her situation is critical. When Leo hears this, he looks more relieved than upset. When Helena is allowed in to see Majo she apologizes and says if she hadn't signed that contract with Francesco none of this would have happened. Val tries to make her realize that she didn't know and isn't guilty of anything. She says her mother told her that while there is life there is hope and Majo is going to get better.

Camila asks Patricia why she's so nice to her niece but rude to her. Pat doesn't answer but tells her never to show up at the house again. She wants her gone when she gets back. Ricardo tells Camila not to worry about it and invites her upstairs. Camila says she thought they had something special between them and Ricardo agrees but says they can't keep seeing each other at the house because Valentina lives there now. Camila asks if he's already been with Valentina as he opens the bedroom door. He says no because he wants to be with her. He closes the bedroom door and locks it. He tells Camila that he adores her and uses charming words as he caresses her on the bed.

Enrique runs into Adelaida at the office. He hands her a piece of paper that she dropped. He wonders what she's doing with coordinates. She asks what he means. He says latitudes and longitudes. She tells him that she found it in the church. She's going to give it to father Darío. He watches on his laptop as Nora complains to Adelaida about the pressure her father and Yolanda are putting on her. He wonders to himself how much Nora is willing to sacrifice in order to become a model. Closing his device he heads down the hall with a large grin on his face. Lizia sees him and he tells her he thinks he knows where he's going to get the million pesos. If the bank is going to unfreeze his accounts, he can buy Guillermo's ranch. My mother will be so happy there, Lizia says. Unfortunately for Enrique, Cybernetico is now demanding one and a half million pesos and the price will go up every day.

Rosa Maria explains Majo's situation to Claudio because he's the only one in the hallway. She suffers from acute subdural hematoma. They missed it before because they were concentrating on the womb and there weren't any symptoms such as head pain. Sometimes bleeding is small and symptoms appear later. Claudio wants her honest opinion and unfortunately Rosa Maria doesn't think Majo will get through it.

Adelaida searches how to locate coordinates on the internet. She puts them and exclaims, My son is in New York!

At Olympo Pratas, Beba tells Yolanda that the security team reviewed the camera video and everything appreared normal. How do you explain the note on my desk saying that they're watching me? Yolanda asks. Hire a different security firm tomorrow. And have them put a camera in my ofice even if it takes away my privacy. At least they didn't take anything, says Beba. Use your head, Yolanda replies, if they had found the sketches for my next collection it would have been the end of Yolanda Pratas and you would be unemployed in the street. They stole my wedding dress designs.

Yolanda tells Nora that she can't come to modeling class. Until she sees results with Guillermo, Nora can't even be a substitute model. Like she told her before, nothing in this life is free. So, get out of my sight.

 

TU AMOR ep 78 part 3

Enrique calls Patricia to tell her that buying the ranch might be like throwing money away. She wonders why and he says because Ricardo is going to marry Valentina and he found out that she is the true daughter of Guillermo.

Valentina overhears Claudio and Hector talking about Nora in the hospital cafeteria. She asks what's going on as Hector leaves. Claudio tells her that it was Nora who told him that she spent the night with Ricardo. Valentina doesn't believe it and when Nora shows up Claudio asks her to take a seat. He wants her to explain to her sister why she told him that Valentina spent the night together with Ricardo.

I hope to still recap periodically. There was a death in my family due to a distracted driver. Sometimes doing normal things takes your mind off reality. I plan to be around but probably not as consistantly as before. It seems wierd but doing this actually helps.

I always felt that if Ricardo was to be redeemed, it would be through Camila. Now that he has seduced this young, sweet innocent, his ascent out of purgatory or descent into hell will depend on what happens hereafter. If he callously discards her, his damnation will be certain.

“Horacio worries about the curse but Claudio doesn't see what could be worse than what is happening now". I totally agree! Perhaps Horacio should stop the nonsense and call Ghostbusters. Helena is running out of time.

Technology and neurosurgeon skills are powerful forces. I’ve had brain surgery and am extremely optimistic that Majo will survive. However, I hope Leo does not. Ack.

As someone who lost a younger brother to a distracted (possibly drunk) driver, I think I can understand something of what your family is going through, and I remember how comforting returning to normal activities was in those days. Welcome back! What a relief to have your clear, detailed recaps, which always have at least 1 or 2 things I missed. Love your suggestion about Ghostbusters, Diana! Maybe Horacio will try some kind of exorcism. Btw, so many horrible things are happening to the main characters that it was almost a good thing to have the novela replaced by futbol last night. It gave viewerville a chance to rest from all the tensions.

I don't get the riff between Feride and Sancar. Honestly, as the oldest one in the family and the one who let Sancar bury Akin in her cabbage patch, Feride should've been greeted. Sancar, what's up with that?

I like Muge, but she is a disgrace to her profession. She of all people should know how damaged and fragile Nare is. Being forced to marry Gediz is such an insult to her whole being.

I'm ready. I will be covering episode 1. The chemistry between Ron and Brito was great in MIVAC so it should do well here. Plus he finally has good hair in the one.

Eduardo Santamarina's voice seems to have gotten deeper and I don't think this is his first villain so he should be giving the other guys his age a run for their dinero. He is married to Marlena Favela in this one. Marjorie de Sousa will be her usual bitchy self and she will be the mother of Kimberly Dos Ramos (despite being only 12 years older than she is off camera) and Alberto Estrella is in this, too. Keep an eye open in the premiere episode for someone we love in Dejan.

SaraAnne, we never saw Nare’s mother. She died when Nare was in her mid-teens, and they never explained her death. “The writers seem to mess with Nare’s character a lot, not sure they have a clear vision of what to do with her.” ---A change of writers in the past couple of eps didn’t help either.

Nice to see you back with us, Nina. I missed your great comments. ITA Nare is her own worst enemy and she’s messing with her daughter’s life, too. She should have trusted and listened to Sancar. In these last episodes, I think she has finally realized her mistakes. Too late.

Niecie, they never really explained the animosity between Feride and Halise. Sancar gave everyone a general greeting but of course Feride had to make an issue. I love Feride, she is hilarious. Too bad they cut and/or changed the translations for many of her scenes. And ITA with you on Muge.

We are down to the last two shows of the Uni second season. There are still 16 Turkish eps to go after we finish here. No return date for season 3 yet.
