DEJAN, Ep. 70, Part 1: From Bad to Worse…

We start in the middle of the two narcissists’ quarrel, Julieta can’t believe Serg is telling her that they should end their relationship. Serg tells her to get off her cloud…theirs is not a love story; it is arguments, fights…they were happy before when they were lovers, but it is no longer the case. Julieta argues that he only wants the best of both worlds…he wants what he had before when he cheated on Alicia and only wants to give her bread crumbs of his time. When she asks if he just expects her to remain quiet and become invisible so he can be happy, Sergio retorts that he just wants her to stop meddling with his kids, to stop destroying his house and to stop using his prestige to get ahead….she can think whatever she wants, but they have to end it!

At the hotel, Alicia smiles as she looks at the replica of Martin’s car. Martin didn’t want to leave her alone and wanted her to know that he is there, not just in the good moments but also to wipe away her tears. It is in times like these that they should be together. He wants to invite her somewhere and doesn’t want her to refuse.

Lorena feels stupid; she can’t believe that Gonzo moved in on the day that his mother caught him and Fedora. After Gonzo assures her that his decision to move in was made before his mother caught them …and that it was never his intention…, Lorena interrupts and chides him since it is never his intention…he never takes control of his life and that is why people take advantage of him.

Yuri is tossing and turning in bed. She recalls the condition Moises gave her and Chela telling her that it would be the worst mistake of her life. Meanwhile, Cholo is also tossing in his cot. Nasty bald guy taunts him and they get into a ferocious fist fight until the guards come in and separate them.

Eva calls out for Alicia and finds a note. She is dismayed that Alicia would leave her there all alone.

Meanwhile, Alicia is with Martin at his apartment, on his sofa making out as Nelson watches. Alicia laughs that Nelson is making her uncomfortable, so Martin carries her off to his bedroom.

Gonzo thanks Lorena for loving him as she does and for talking to him as she did; no one had ever done so . He knows he is responsible for everything that has happened in his life…she doesn’t know how hard it was to tell his father that he wasn’t interested in medicine. It was then when he realized that he had no control over his life. But he doesn’t want to lose her or be the way he was. She makes him a better person and the best decision he can make is to live with her. Lorena melts and is glad that they finally agree on something.

Julieta is in her red hot nightie. She tells Serg that there is nothing better than sex after an argument. When he reminds her that they were fighting like cats and dogs at the station, Julieta insists that he shouldn’t bring work to their bed, but Serg tells her that he is not in the mood for a reconciliation…and bids her good night.

Miranda and Culebra talk on the phone. Miranda can’t sleep because of all the yelling in the house….she thinks that her father’s relationship won’t last long and that makes her laugh. Culebra suggests that they celebrate but Miranda is working on her project. She found a video of another girl who was a victim of cyberbullying…and she tried to commit suicide three times. When Miranda asks Culebra for help on something, Culebra is ready to go over, but Miranda tells him that her father would have a problem with it; they can meet the next day.

 

DEJAN, Ep. 70, Part 2: From Bad to Worse…

Alicia and Martin have finished their amorous frolic (thank you, JudyB, from the Desalmada patio) in bed. Alicia appreciates such a happy moment after all that has happened. Martin reminds her that she should come live with him, but Alicia wonders what she is supposed to do with her mother (drop her like a hot potato!!)…and Sofi wouldn’t like it either. Martin suggests that they have lunch the next day with Sofi who only needs a bit of time to get to know her.

Alicia returns to the hotel only to be greeted by Eva who chides her for going off with the hippie and leaving her in that pigsty. Alicia tells her that her comments don’t phase her anymore; she will go out with whomever and whenever she wants! Eva tells her that she will be there for her when her world falls apart because what she suffered with Serg is nothing compared to what she will suffer with this other man.

Next morning—

The Carranza clan and the (B)witch have a quiet breakfast until Yuri mentions the previous night’s program. Juls blames the catastrophe on Serg, so Serg puts a stop to her comments. When Miranda tells Seg that she wants to file a complaint about her cyberbullying, Serg tells her to leave everything in the past, but Juls thinks it’s a good idea. Serg thinks that Juls probably wants to interview Miranda for her program. They both lose their appetite and storm off.

Gonzo goes to visit Alicia to apologize. He hopes that her love is larger than her disappointment. He explains that he knows he has made many mistakes…and with this situation he has realized that his erratic behavior has only hurt the people he loves—her and Lorena. He only wants another chance. After Alicia hugs him, she tells him that she would never be able to remain angry with him, but what happened was huge and what Fedora did hurt her very much. Gonzo defends Fedora and tells Alicia that Fedora is very regretful and can’t live with the idea of losing Alicia. He swears that he hasn’t talked to Fedora but is sure she is dying to see her.

At the shattered glass house, Marcela arrives to find Fedora drunk. Fedora tells her that she hurt someone she adores very much and she thinks that her mistake can’t be fixed. Marcela tells her that if that person loves her, she will forgive her. When Marcela asks for Alicia, Fedora tells her that she no longer lives there. Fedora then asks Marcela if she knows anything about the missing necklace. Marcela thinks Fedora is accusing her and tells her she is no thief; she doesn’t know what happened but she is not to blame. Marcela then reminds her that she was not the only person in that house…and recalls seeing Eva going into her bedroom. When Fedora tells her that it would be absurd to think it was Eva, Marcela retorts that then she has nothing to do there and leaves.

Yuri is helping Miranda with her project when Karina calls her to tell her that Cholo was beaten up badly in a fight. Cholo is okay, but he was lucky…next time the cops might not get there in time. As Karina recommends that Yuri find some legal help NOW, slimy Mujica approaches so Karina quickly hangs up. Mujica reminds her that she owes him some beers in appreciation for letting her come back to work.

 

DEJAN, Ep. 70, Part 3: From Bad to Worse…

Cholo asks Baldy if he has something against him or was he sent there. Baldy replies that it could be both. When Cholo tells him not to bother him, Baldy smirks as he wonders if he is threatening him.

Juls tells Mabel about her fight with Sergio; she is afraid that Sergio will throw her to the curb. When Mabel asks about their sex life, Juls tells her that Serg rejected her for the first time last night. Mabel then asks if she has told Serg about her pregnancy, so Juls tells her she hasn’t...an she has made an appointment to stop it. They are interrupted by Martin so Juls leaves.

Gonzo tells Alicia that he has put the car up for sale and he has a buyer. They can use the money to start their catering business. Eva is aghast that they are still think about that…but she is ignored (nobody cares and neither do we). Alicia argues that he should use the money for his education. Gonzo wants her to go somewhere with him…she will like it.

Fedora calls Alicia and leaves her a message where she apologizes. She pleads that they talk since there is something else she wants to talk to her about…regarding Marcela and Eva.

At her home, Marcela is furious that Fedora accused her of being a thief. Toro cackles as he tells her that he told her so.

Sergio shouts at Moises since Lucas’s case is going forward. When he tells Moises to take over the case, Moises tells him that taking over others’ cases is not allowed. Sergio tries to threaten to call Moises’s father, but Moises tells him that is father agrees that Jorge should keep the case (the walls are closing in!).

Martin has shown Mabel his proposal for his next article which will be on cases like his brother’s which have not been solved. Mabel thinks its very dangerous but agrees and calls Hernan who specializes in police protocol and knows about the drug trafficking in the city.

Yuri tells Moises that she is accepting his condition (oh noes!!)—she will marry him. Before they marry, she wants him to keep his word and take Cholo out of jail. Moises assures her that he will make her very happy ( I need some Pepto Bismal..).

At the jail Karina takes Cholo some food and tells him that his lawyer is on the way; and it seems he will be taking him out of there. Cholo is suspicious since his lawyer has suddenly changed his stance.

Hernan shows Martin the area where his brother was killed and mentions that El Toro was in charge of selling drugs in that area. When he adds that El Toro hasn’t been seen in a year, Martin notes that it coincides with when his brother was killed. Hernan tells them that the last they heard was that El Toro was last known to be in Tamaulipas. Mabel tells them that she family is from there and she has a brother who is close to the police chief. She insists on going with Martin to talk to the police chief (..and she starts spinning her web…).

At the school, Vanessa worries that they will be found out. She suggests that Nicole get rid of her phone. Nicole refuses to get rid of her phone and, as she assures Vanessa that no one will find out it was her, Ariana approaches and overhears. Nicole sees her and they run after her.

 

DEJAN, Ep. 70, Part 4: From Bad to Worse…

Miranda is outside with Culebra and tells him about the girl named Olimpia who has given many speech and has experienced what Miranda went through. Cholo asks if anyone has said anything to her, so Miranda assures him that they haven’t been, but she has noticed the “looks.” Meanwhile, Nicole has cornered Ariana and demands to know what she heard. Ariana denies having heard anything, but Nicole continues her harassment and takes Ariana into the bathroom. We are spared the visual, but can hear Ariana crying out as Nicole beats on her. Vanessa cringes as she listens, but does nothing!

At the news station, Serg is telling Fabian that Alicia’s relationship with Martin won’t last; and he will be there for Alicia when Martin dumps her. They then listen to Julieta’s program which focuses on the great Sergio Carranza who has helped her so much!

Rebeca assures Fedora that Alicia will forgive her. Everyone deserves a second chance and they all make mistakes. After they hug, Rebeca talks about her own demise; she knows what is coming and it will come soon. She tells Fedora that she and Alicia need to prepare for what comes because there will be times when she will be intolerable and will be a bother to everyone. Fedora assures her that she will never be a bother to anyone.

Gonzo takes Alicia to a Chef Lauriano’s academy where he spends 3 days out of the week. When Alicia asks why she had never told her, Gonzo tells her that he was afraid, but Lorena helped him overcome that fear (Viewerville collectively rolls eyes).

At school. Miranda finds Ariana crying in the bathroom. Miranda knows that it had to be Nicole who roughed up Ariana and wants to go confront Nicole, but Ariana asks her not to do anything. She doesn’t want Miranda to get close to her or to get involved with her life. She only wants to be at peace. Miranda insists that they need to do something since it is obvio that Ariana Is scared to death. Ariana is adamant that Miranda do nothing…and she’d better not say anything to Nicole!

At Martin’s place, Alicia arrives and greets Sofi. When Sofi refers to her as “señora,” Alica asks that she call her by her name. Sofi explains that she was taught to refer to older people as señor and señora; so Alicia tells her that she is right and shows her a cake that she brought. but Sofi tells her that too much sweet is bad for her teeth. Martin asks that they both listen to him, especially Sofi. He knows that this is difficult for her, but this is their first meal together. They are the most important women in his life…so if this meal fails, it would be a catastrophe for him.

Yuir and Moises arrive at the jail. Yuri insists in going in with Moises to see Cholo, but Moises refuses and enters by himself. He tells Cholo that he has gotten approval for Cholo to be transferred from there because of the threat on his life. When Cholo is surprised that Moises didn’t forget about him, Moises smirks as he assures him that he and his fiancé never forget about him since they talk about his case all the time. Cholo is muy impactado as Moises adds that they are very happy since they finally set a date for the wedding…next week!!

And so the episode ends!!

Thank you, RgvChick for such a lively and detailed recap of what I found to be a rather frustrating and blah episode. I enjoyed your recap, I didn’t enjoy watching this episode.

The best scene was Nelson watching Alicia and Martín. That made me laugh.

The worst scene was Ariana allowing Nicole to beat her up and not fighting back.

The most stupid scene was Yuri agreeing to marry Moisés as if he were the only lawyer who knew how to/had the “connections” to get a criminal defendant out of jail in Mexico City. I cannot suspend my disbelief that much.

The scene that gave me hope of some justice at least for Miranda was Nicole being stupid and cheap not wanting to get rid of her cellphone that could tie her to the crime of uploading Miranda’s video. This is the second time it has come up.

Thank you RgvChick! I missed so much of the dialog last night, I am so grateful to have the recap to help fill in the gaps!

Best scene of the episode for me was after Sergio and Julieta left the breakfast table and Yuri asks Miranda if she is going to listen to dad and not file a report, and she says 'of course not!' LOL Those two have certainly come a long way from hanging on to daddy's every word.

We knew the Cholo fight scene was going to happen but I did find two things encouraging. 1. Cholo was holding his own in that fight! I am not entirely sure the baddie would have won that fight if it hadn't gotten broken up. 2. The guards did come in pretty quickly to break them up! I took that as a good sign that at least there is no wide conspiracy to just let the other guy beat Cholo to death. Although I don't understand why they can't separate them even after the fight.

'Cholo asks if he has something against him or if he was sent there' - Cholo is asking all the right questions. He is definitely the smart one in his relationship. It's too bad Yuri doesn't trust him, or consult him, or give him the opportunity to participate in making decisions about his own life and defense!

Yuri saying yes to marrying Moises - I just can't.......this is just too dumb. I am with Jarifa I can't suspend disbelief that far!!! Yuck, sigh.

The scenes with Ariana broke my heart. It's so scary to see how quickly bullying takes a toll. At the beginning of the show, Ariana is standing up to Nicole to befriend Miranda and now she is just terrified of her and closing down. So sad.

I found all the scenes with Gonzo and the school and class just too campy. I suppose it's supposed to be the feel-good resolution to his story but I just laughed and rolled my eyes. I can't think of any reasons why Lorena would want him or that relationship but I suppose that's where the writers are going.

I wish Martin wouldn't pressure Sofi so much to accept Alicia immediately or it will be a 'catastrophe' for him. Oh please, give your daughter some time to adjust! Yes, she shouldn't be rude but that doesn't mean she needs to be besties from day 1. I really think it's detrimental to kids to be pressured in this way. Let them discover how to feel and adjust on their own rather than manipulate them into acting a certain way to make you feel better. She would probably adapt sooner than later anyway, she's a good kid and she loves her daddy and Alicia loves her daddy and is a good person she would probably win her over quickly.

Rgv Chick, the title was perfect and the recap, excellent as always. Smiled at the “two narcissists’ quarrel”, “(B)witch” and my favorite “shattered glass house”.

“Nelson watching” was the sweetest moment of the night. I don’t blame Alicia for being uncomfortable, no matter his skin, his soul seems human.

“Fedora assures her that she will never be a bother to anyone”. Bad things do happen to good people. It always seems to be the sweetest and kindest.

I found the episode disturbing at best and I can’t even say Sergio was the primary culprit.

Jarifa, I agree seeing Ariana beaten up was the absolute worst. What struck me as especially cunning (in addition to callous) is that Nicole ensured there were no visible bruises on Ariana’s face. She took her rage out on her arms and heaven knows where else. I put Nicole in Toro’s league.

I can’t believe Yuri capitulated so quickly. Does she have a plan??

Mabe is subtly setting her cap (OMG am I showing my age) for Martin. She hasn’t done anything unforgiveable (yet) and is smart and resourceful. She’s too intelligent to not see Martin won’t be swayed from Alicia.

Julieta doesn’t seem to grasp the gravity of the situation – Sergio is done and as unbelievable as it is, already planning to get Alicia back.

Finally, there is some clue that Eva is a thief. She’s much worse but at least something is revealed. But will Alicia listen?

I care nothing about Gonzalo and Lorena. FF…

Darcy, ITA about Martín pressuring Sofía and wanting to “manipulate” her. What is the rush? Being in últimos capítulos, I guess. LOL

Diana, FINALLY there is some info “out there” that Eva is a thief. Guess we will have wait for Alicia to reconcile with Fedora to drop that clue. Has to happen soon. Últimos capítulos . . . ; )

Finally we're coming toward Nicole's Karmageddon. It looks like Vanessa is a hair closer to being done with her. Nicole is both a sociopath and a psychopath and needs to be stopped. She is on the way to becoming another Melinda Loveless. She needs to be in a facility.

Eva will fall as soon as she does. Alicia is starting to become indifferent to her and that is a good thing. I can't wait.

So now the two worst ones in this tale are at each other's throats, right on time. SerJerk is finally seeing what a rotten deal he made but when he tries to get Alicia back I hope she laughs in his face. At least Moises -- of all people -- told him he wasn't getting his way about Lucas.

Gonzalo appears to be growing up. He can make do with a used car until his business is profitable. His love of food and pastry will lead to success. SerJerk can go pound sand.

Love seeing Nelson at last. I think he approves of Alicia.

Jarifa and Darcy, OF COURSE Martin is pressuring Sofia! Let's be honest. That is who he is. We would have urged him to set up a "surprise" brief meet. But no. He dives in and sets up a meal. I often wonder what world he is living in. I think he is a good person who sometimes acts selfishly.

Alicia walked right into it asking Sofia to call her by her name. Sofia could have let it go but she took the opportunity to twist the knife.

I don't see Carlota and Diablo together but if it was to work out, Carlota would be happier and that might make Sofia reconsider. She likely feels she can't accept Alicia if her mother is pining after him.

TU AMOR ep 101 part 1

Valentina hopes that something can still be done for Majo. Maybe somebody made a mistake, she thinks. Rosa Maria explains that unfortunately nothing can be done. Brain death is final. Valentina goes to Carlitos' room to tell Consuelo. I can't stop thinking she won't be with us, says Val, and can you imagine how much Helena will suffer when she knows? The nurse that cared for her said she awoke for a short time and said something odd. I'm going to try to find her.

What's this?, Helena asks, picking up the letter from Guillermo's conference table. The letter you sent me when your mother died, he says. Helena denies writing any letter and lays it back on the table. Adelaida joins them and says it's wonderful to see them together. Rosa Maria bursts in to say they have a donor and can perform Guillermo's heart transplant. Oh, sorry, she says, seeing Helena. Don't worry, Guillermo says, it's time to tell her. Without a transplant I'll die. Your aunt didn't tell you because she just found out. Who's the donor?, Adelaida asks. Someone who just experienced brain death and won't survive, Rosa Maria says, turning toward Helena. It's Majo. Helena collapses on the couch.

At Consuelo's house, David shows Camila some pictures of his war buddies. They didn't all survive. He points out the one he was able to save. Horacio comes in and thinks David is a salesman. Camila introduces him as Adelaida's son. He helped me when someone was bothering me, she says. It was an attack, David clarifies. She was in grave danger. Regino cornered me..., Camila explains. Horacio goes crazy when he hears it was Regino. Consuelo comes home and becomes just as upset at the news. Could you imagine what could have happened?, she asks. You're pregnant. What?, asks Mina, I'm going to have a cousin? Camila tells her no, and Horacio vows to put a stop to Regino's threats.

Samara is in Rosa Maria's office. RM explains that Majo suffered brain death and she needs to contact her family to authorize the donation of her organs. That way she can save Guillermo's life. I'm going to go tell him, Rosa Maria says.

Ricardo shows up at Yolanda's taller. He came to ask for work because he's got a lot of expenses. I have something perfect for you, Yolanda says. It's a special mission. You can do some modeling, but I also need you to be my eyes and ears here. I think someone is trying to betray me. Do you have any suspects?, he asks. Yes, she says, Nora.

Nora runs into Lucha as she leaves the new house. Lucha uses talks sassy to her, addressing her in the familiar. I just wondered if there was anything I could do for her majesty, Lucha says. You know what it's like to work in a big house like you did on the ranch. This causes Nora to let down her guard. This house is big, she says, but it's not what I want. It was a mistake that the mansion burned down. Mistake?, Lucha thinks. How was it a mistake that the mansion burned?

Helena has a hard time processing the news about Majo. Please tell me it's an error, she says. Guillermo asks Rosa Maria if she could help them look for other options. The cost doesn't matter. But that means you'd lose the opportunity to live, Helena tells her father. I need to think. Look on the positive side, says Adelaida. You called Helena daughter. It's been years since you called her that. You've been waiting for this moment a long time, Rosa Maria reminds him. Yes, says Guillermo, but I never thought it would be Helena's best friend that would give me back my life. RM leaves to look for Majo's family. Helena said she never wrote this letter, Guillermo tells Adelaida. I found it in a drawer in her hospital room when she was recovering from the accident. What if someone else put it there?, Adeaida asks.
 

TU AMOR ep 101 part 2

Valentina asks the head nurse where she could find the attendant taking care of the patient in room 205. She just left for the metro, the head nurse tells her. When Valentina leaves, she warns her friend that someone is looking for her that might be dangerous. The attendant avoids Valentina for a while but then decides they need to talk. They go to a cafe and the nurse opens up. When Majo awakened for a short time, she says, she mentioned that a Leonardo caused the accident. She said the same name two times.

Lucha tells Mechita that she heard something strange. Nora said that it was a mistake that don Guillermo's mansion burned. What if she had something to do with the fire? Mechita drops a plate in surprise. We can't accuse her without proof, she says. Do you really think she's capable of burning a house? What have I been telling you?, says Lucha, she's half crazy.

At an outdoor cafe, Leonardo demands that the paparazzi give him the original video of Camila. He says it's an order, and he won't pay one peso for it. Leo says he has proof of all the crimes he committed. I don't know why you're so angry, the photographer says. I took the photos of your sister after the accident like you asked me, and you never paid for them. Get me the video, says Leonardo, and I'll pay you the money. I also have another job for you. I have a condition, the photographer says. I want Hector paid back for beating me up. No, says Leo, you're going to give me the video for free or I'll release an audio tape of you saying that you take pictures and videos of famous people and sell them to the highest bidder. That would end your career champ. Ok, I'll do it, but you find a way that Hector gets the beating he deserves.

Hector waits for Helena to return to the house. What's wrong?, he asks. I don't think you care, she says. Shouldn't you go take care of Luna? You care about her, no? Let me explain, Hector says taking her arm. Helena explodes. Let go of me, she says slapping him hard. I love you Helena, he says stopping her. I don't, anymore, Helena says coldly, leaving him crushed. Despondent, he goes to Patricia's house and tells her he doesn't know what to do. I do, Pat says, kissing him passionately. He remembers Helena telling him she doesn't love him anymore. He kisses her back. While they're in bed together, Helena flashes back to all the times Majo helped her and the fun they had together. She tries calling Hector. Why did I push you away my love?, she says to herself. The next day he looks really regretful when he wakes up. He tries to explain that he got carried away, but Patricia hangs all over him and won't let him talk.

Claudio asks for Fernando Martínez at the bank. He's told he'll be back in an hour. He decides to wait. He shows Fernando a picture of Valentina when he returns, and tells him that he opened an account in her name. Fernando remembers Ricardo asking him to do it, but denies opening the account to Claudio. Ricardo Manrique opened the account with your help, Claudio says. You did it without her consent which is a crime.

Yolanda flashes back to her encounter with Helena's eventual boyfriend. I need you to do me a favor, she says, and I'll pay you well for it. All you have to do is have this girl fall in love with you. She hands him a photo of Helena. But what comes later is important. You have to seduce Estela, her mother. If you succeed, you'll get a lot of money. Back in the present, Yolanda recalls that she still couldn't win back Guillermo's love, even with that stupid Estela dead. But I'll get what I want and end my solitude.

 

TU AMOR ep 101 part 3

As Beba checks out her new office Ricardo walks in. You look very good as a designer and executive, he says. I think you could be as good or better than Yolanda. I would like us to get to know each other better, he says stepping closer. I'm going to work here. I think we'll get along very well, he says, kissing her cheek. Excuse me. That's the last thing I need, Beba thinks when he leaves. Another nosy person in my way.

Guillermo invites two arson investigators into his conference room. Take a seat, he says. One of the investigators hands Guillermo a report. An expert determined that an accelerant was used in the fire that burned his house. Someone caused the fire.

In Majo's room, Rosa Maria explains to Helena that her body couldn't hold out any longer, and she experienced brain death. Majo fought until the last, she says, but there was no cure. Forgive me for not being with you, Helena tells her friend through tears. I'll miss you forever. She kisses Majo's forehead. Valentina enters the room and holds Helena. Do either of you know anything about Majo's family?, Rosa Maria asks. Her parents died when she was a girl, Helena says. I think she lived with some aunts for a while but they lost contact with her. I was her family. I'm trying to find a way that Majo can donate her organs, says RM, and you know why. My father needs a heart transplant, Helena tells Valentina. It's urgent. If Guillermo received Majo's heart, RM says, he could survive. If not, he could die at any moment. Helena looks lost as Valentina tries to comfort her.

Joel, as usual, your recap was beyond. You handled all the tragic and sordid events with insight and kindness. Truly exceptional.

My first burning question is: Will Valentina ever change her shirt? I think this was the fourth night in a row…wanted to start a bit gentle before I explode.

I have to admit I was incredulous at several things last night and am placing gentle blame on the writers who, to date, have been thoughtful and careful with all of the characters. First, Valentina would have immediately called Helena to give her the news (as she didn’t know exactly where she was) and then set off immediately to find her.

When Rosie never thought to call Helena but instead ran right to Guillermo’s to tell him about the available heart, without telling Helena, I was completely put off. She and Guillermo can have each other.

Most of my venom is for Hector (yet there is always some for Yolanda). ”Despondent, he goes to Patricia's house and tells her he doesn't know what to do”. Liar. Traitor. You went there for one reason. You are dead to me. The one stalwart couple is no longer. I don’t think Helena will be able to handle this, she is just too broken at this point.

I was confused on Yolanda’s flashback. Was the boy/man with Estela that night also dating Helena at the same time? If so, that would explain why she was screaming but she seemed too young to be dating. I’m lost.

Now Beba has Ricardo breathing down her neck. Ack.

Uncharacteristic of Nora to be so careless with her words. I hope the investigation concludes quickly.

Valentina now knows the truth about Leo. Where on earth is that tape going to end up.

The BLAH award goes to Gonzo and his newfound courage that Lorena helped him find (PUH-lease!!)

The Disturbing Award goes to Nicole beating up on Ariana and Ariana refusing to do anything about it. Darcy, thanks for pointing out that, in the beginning, Ariana showed bravery in standing up to Nicole to befriend Miranda. I guess all those recent segments of harassment took their toll on Ariana. I’m hoping Miranda will find a better way to convince her to speak out because once she does, Nicole is a goner. And Darcy, thanks for mentioning that bit of conversation between Miranda and Yuri at the breakfast table. You are spot on in that they have come a long way…in what seems a short time since they’ve lauded their daddy dearest up until now.

Stupid Award has to go to Yuri for agreeing to marry Moises and trusting him. Does she really think Moises will keep his word??? Yeah, Moises is taking Cholo out of that jail, but he is TRANSFERRING him to another one. Diana, if Yuri does have a plan, it would surprise me.

Diana, “Mabe is subtly setting her cap (OMG am I showing my age) for Martin” LOL I hadn’t heard that in a while but yes, Mabe is definitely setting her cap for Martin. It surprises me too that such an intelligent woman would even think that Martin will give her a second look. And I do think that once Alicia talks to Fedora (there just HAS to be a reconciliation) she will remember her own missing jewelry and realize that Eva is the thief. It will be interesting to see if Eva confesses about her gambling addiction.

Darcy, this entire paragraph is worth repeating” “I wish Martin wouldn't pressure Sofi so much to accept Alicia immediately or it will be a 'catastrophe' for him. Oh please, give your daughter some time to adjust! Yes, she shouldn't be rude but that doesn't mean she needs to be besties from day 1. I really think it's detrimental to kids to be pressured in this way. Let them discover how to feel and adjust on their own rather than manipulate them into acting a certain way to make you feel better. Looks like Mabel will take a page out of Julieta's playbook & steal Martin from under Alicia the Hypocrite (AKA It's All YOUR FAULT ALICIA).

Darcy: I do NOT see Nicole or Vanessa getting their Karma anvils for what happened to Ariana, who will NEVER snitch. Miranda better do something ASAP to expose what's going on.

Diana: I still am NOT convinced that Martin is Sofia's father based on Carlotta & Diablo's escapades.

UA: Why do I get this bad feeling Cholo won't be with us much longer as we're in Ultimos Capitulos ? I mean Mujicia & the Bad Guys are hell-bent on making sure he NEVER breathes period.

Martin is so selfishly impulsive (impulsively selfish?) that I wouldn't be surprised if in the future when he and Alicia live together and are just figuring out how to do that, he decides he wants a son and since Alicia can't/won't do that biologically, he takes it upon himself to adopt one. Alicia will come home one day from her new job (whatever that might be) and, voila! There's a new baby boy, crib and all, with Martin grinning and expecting her to jump for joy, "Look! My Amor! Look what I got for US!!"

Diana, I agree, the writing was a little off last night. Rosa Maria is going to save one guy in the twilight of life instead of two young people? She just got finished explaining about domino donation, which would save Carlitos and his heart donor's older sister. I knew Rosa Maria had no ethics but WTH? She looks so sweet but is really a bad person. As far as Yolanda's flashback. Helena was 15 when she walked in on her mother kissing her "boyfriend". Apparently, he had no feelings for her and was hired by Yolanda to make her fall in love with him and then seduce her mother. She thought this would somehow win back Guillermo's love? Everyone in that town seems like they were big cheaters, although it was before cable TV and cell phones, so maybe they were bored. Ha.

SpanProf, thank you so much. During the initial flashback, I was a bit surprised thinking that Helena would be angry and couldn't figure out why she was hysterically crying. But now it makes sense. Sad, gut wrenching sense.

Yolanda has ruined so many lives and ultimately, she is responsible for Helena's mother's death. What was her motivation? I guess she thought Guillermo would leave and go to her? She is a curse on humankind.

And this puts Hector's treachery in an even harsher light. That he cheated with Patricia will devastate Helena. Helena is a bit like her father in that she is not very forgiving by nature and to be honest, I don't even think she should make up with Hector. She deserves so much better.

When Hector hears about Majo I hope he feels terrible.

I never liked Rosa and now I just want her to go away.

I don't agree about the comparison between Alicia's and Gonzalo's situations. Martin is not related to anyone in the Carranza household, he's divorced for at least 5 years, and he is a free man. Also,, nothing actually happened until after the divorce was final.

Fedora is more years older than Gonzalo than Alicia is than Martin and Fedora is also Alicia's friend. That is way more serious an issue than Martin being a "younger" man. Alicia is not a hypocrite. What is she supposed to do, become celibate for the rest of her lie just because she is a mother?

 

TU AMOR. Thank you for another great recap of an episode that just keeps getting all the more depressing, JoelD. There's not that much time left. When is the plot line going to turn upwards? Though I noticed last night that they labeled this episode as part of Season 1. Does this mean that some stories will be left dangling? I hope not. JoelD and Diana, I too wondered what happened to that domino donation plan--it just disappeared without any explanation. I wonder who really wrote that letter that was supposed to be from Helena. Could it have been Alfonso? Yolanda? So Ricardo needs a job because he can't access his embezzled money? Who is creepier, Leo or the photographer? Yet again, Helena won't let Hector get a word in edgewise. Geez. Of course, we suspected what the outcome would be of Hector's spending so much time with Patricia. I hope Claudio socks it to both Fernando Martinez and Ricardo legally. Yuck. Yolanda was responsible for Helena's boyfriend having an affair with Helena's mother as well. Anvil, where are you? Good heavens! Ricardo is now making a play for Beba. Totally shameless!

So just so I have things straight is Ricardo still set up to potentially die before the end? If Guillermo gets Majo’s heart is that supposed to bring him and Helena closer together or drive them further apart? It would be nice to see both Majo and Carlitos live but I guess that can’t happen.

Hector, Hector, Hector….I was definitely disappointed by his actions in this episode.

I hate the thought that the two youngsters might not live because Rosie made a very bad indefensible decision.

SpanProf, I fervently hope there isn't a second season. Medicos was supposed to have a second season but that never happened. I will be very upset if things are left dangling. There's enough episodes to tie everything up. Perhaps not as we'd like but...

TF, I have no idea what the writers have in mind for Ricardo. We initially thought he might be redeemable and end up with Camila but I don't think that is going to happen. Good question about the heart transplant. It's too late for Majo but hopefully not for Carlitos.

He seems to have suddenly had an epiphany about Jul and even had an accurate list of what she has done that he doesn't like . ....so...back to square one and getting the little , perfect wifey back . Really ? After he has been so brutal and unfeeling to her and she has experienced a whole new , fun, loving , romantic relationship with Marty ???? He is a super narcissist .

Great point about the safe. It would be just like Eva to steal from the very business she is criticizing for "bringing them down in the world." She will do that all by herself once her gambling debts are revealed.

I can't see Juleech having a baby. She is even less maternal than I am. Who else thinks that Chiquis will rat her out to SerJerk before she can book the appointment? She has only about five weeks before she has to give a reason for the abortion. Will he want her to have the abortion? It would be fairly consistent at this stage if he would want her to and she would change her mind just to get even with him. Or would he try to get custody of the baby if she had it? When were the last episodes written? Mexico's new law probably hadn't been passed yet.

Forgot this: Sofie is about 12. The divorce probably happened at least 4 or 5 years ago. Carloca should have gotten over it by now and Sofie should have gotten counseling on the subject back then.

DEJAN Episode 71 Sugar, Spice and Much That Isn’t Nice Part 1

Tell the truth or someone will tell it for you - Stephanie Klein

Previously: Sergio and Julieta are still sullenly separated. Alicia and Martin consciously couple. Fedora realizes that Eva is a thief and tries to connect with unavailable and immovable Alicia. Mabel and Martin strategize on Cholo’s case as Mabel plans a coup of her own. Nicole assaults Ariana. Martin’s lunch with Alicia and Sofia is off to an unappetizing start. Yuri tells Moises she agrees to marry him in exchange for Cholo’s freedom. Moises gleefully shares the news with an uncomprehending Cholo…

A myriad of emotions – shock, disbelief and pain, flit across Cholo’s face as he tries to process Moises’ announcement. Your fiancée? Yes, the wedding is next week. Condescendingly, Moises states that Yuri was confused but now they will be married. He tells him Cholo that he will work on getting him released – when he returns from his honeymoon. When Moises leaves, Cholo puts his head in his hands in tears.

Karina asks Yuri if she was able to resolve anything. Yuri evades Karina’s questions with a general “it’s complicated”. She hesitatingly states she thinks that Moises will help get Cholo out.

At Martin’s lunch is served! Sushi all the way around. Alicia effuses. Sofia states such lunches were a a tradition in her family, with her mother and father. Alicia seems oblivious and natters on. She compliments Sofia on her proficient use of chopsticks. Alicia offers to make a dish and Martin is happy they will cook together. When Alicia notes that Sofi is not glued to her phone, Sofia tells her she is a preadolescent and doesn’t want to be stereotyped. Alicia agrees and explains she shouldn’t assume things just because of age since age doesn’t define anyone. Viewerville credits Alicia as winning round 1. Martin tells Alicia there is an investigation taking place and he will be traveling, working with Mabe. Alicia looks unhappy and questions him as to why Mabe is involved. Sofia smirks sensing a sensitive subject.

Eva is in her hotel room, counting out her money (isn’t there a similar fairy tale line involving a king?) 😊)There is a knock on the door and lo and behold it is Fedora. Eva insults her and tells her Alicia isn’t there. I want to talk to you Fedora says evenly, regarding a delicate matter. She says a valuable necklace is missing. Does Eva know anything about it? Eva gets her dander up saying she didn’t think Fedora could sink any lower. She blames Marcela of course and lies straight faced that she is a God fearing woman who has never taken anything that doesn’t belong to her. She inflicts a tongue lashing on Fedora about Gonzalo, but it’s clearly evident Eva is shaken.

DEJAN Episode 71 Sugar, Spice and Much That Isn’t Nice Part 2

Julieta strikes a sexy pose in her nighty and asks Sergio if he is still angry. Sergio pushes her away and it appears lust will prevail when Yaya knocks on the door. Julieta chews her out for interrupting - she should be cooking and cleaning! She then shuts the door in Yaya’s face. Realizing Julieta has learned nothing, he scolds her and goes after Yaya to apologize. Yaya explains she just wanted to remind him of Miranda’s birthday. Sergio thanks her and asks she prepare everything just as Alicia would!

After Martín assures Alicia that Sofia will come around in time (when pigs fly I add), he invites her to go with him on his trip. Alicia declines since it will be Miranda’s birthday tomorrow. Sofia rolls her eyes.

Miranda tells Culebra about Ariana’s bruises and how afraid she was. Nicole is a terrorist. Miranda doesn’t know how he could have been with someone like Nicole. She then wishes she could do something for Ariana and gets an idea.

Alicia tells Martín that she doesn’t want to talk to Fedora. Martín tries to talk her into forgiving Fedora but Alicia thinks that what Fedora did crossed their line. Marcela calls and tells her that Fedora accused her of stealing. The small party has moved outside, Sofia walking Nelson as Alicia and Martin follow..

Marcela calls Alicia announcing she is no longer working at Fedora’s. She tells her Fedora accused her of stealing and thanks Alicia formally and frostily.

Cholo and his cell mate verbally spar as he taunts him about his meeting with his lawyer. Cholo is in no mood to be baited and is rabid. Meanwhile, Moises tells Mujica that Cholo needs to be protected. He would love to see Cholo serve a life sentence but plans have changed. For now, no one should touch Cholo since he has no plans of losing Yuri.

Moises tells Yuri that he stopped Cholo’s transfer with the help of his contacts. If they had transferred Cholo, his life would have been in danger. Yuri thanks him and Moises reciprocates with a (gross) kiss and pats her on the head like a dog. Karina observes…

Culebra and Miranda record something against bullying. Culebra has doubts about going through with it since it might bring on problems for him…and it might get him in trouble with his teachers and father. Miranda gets upset and tells him she will do it on her own. She stands up and leaves.

Lorena is effusing about something when Gonzalo gest a call from Fedora, Lorena is annoyed but tells him to answer which he does, putting the call on speaker to appease her. Fedora is asking for his help as Alicia won’t answer her calls. She then asks about Lorena whom she describes as very nice and a girl he deserves. Lorena is somewhat mollified and all is well.

Julieta and Mabel are out for a run. Mabel asks Julieta about Sergio. Julieta tells her how she had to laud him on her program to smooth things over. She then complains of all the concessions she has made including making sure her takes all his pills (how vile the patio laments. ☹). Julieta asks how things are going with Martín so Mabel tells her about her trip…she plans to take things slowly. The patio eyerolls and would take bets against this.

Sofia runs into Matilde and her mother and introduces them to her father. When she is about to introduce Alicia, her friend asks if she is her grandmother (ouch). After the friend leaves, Sofia comments that it was very uncomfortable but she should get used to it because it will get worse as the years go by…if they last. Alicia thinks Sofia is right, she will only get older. She leaves a bit unnerved and Martin looks rather sad.

Moises tells Greta the wedding planner that the wedding will be next week. Yuri is shocked but concedes though she doesn’t want anything extravagant nor does she want a honeymoon. When Moises leaves, Greta comments that looks she has never seen Yuri interested in the wedding.

Miranda tells the director that her birthday is tomorrow and she would like a small gift that only she can give her…she can find out who uploaded her video. Though she knows it will take time she would like to be assured that there has been some progress. When she mentions the police, the director doesn’t think that would be necessary but Miranda tells her that she already filed a complaint…this will ensure that things will get done.

Rebeca asks the woman with her who she is and where is her husband? Fabian she screams. As the nurse tries to calm her down Rebeca tells her to leave her alone as glass crashes on the floor. Fabian, watching on closed circuit from the office, rushes out, leaving Sergio in the lurch.

Eva tells Alicia that her amoral ex-friend came over and accused her of stealing. As Eva fake cries, Alicia can’t believe it! Eva hopes that Alicia loves her enough to never talk to Fedora again. Alicia looks upset and leans over on the bed.

Julieta tells Chiquis to look for info on different topics. She tells her to give the info to Diablo…and to buy a gift for Sergio’s intolerable daughter. When Chiquis asks about the baby and suggests that she have it, Julieta lists all the things she doesn’t have…and since she has not accomplished what she wants (I believe she mentioned a Pulitzer?), there is no room for a baby. She then lists all the things that she would have to put up with if she has the baby.

Miranda tells Culebra that she understands now…everyone needs to resolve their own problems. She stalks off and Culebra seems very frustrated.

Rebeca tries to open the front door but it’s locked. Fabian rushes in and hugs her. Who is this woman Rebeca asks? Fabian explains and apologizes to the nurse who tells him she will not be able to continue there.

Karina asks how things went with the lawyer. Terrible, Cholo replies. When Karina mentions Yuri, Cholo tells her not to even say her name…she is getting married next week. Karina doesn’t believe anything that lawyer says. She gives him her phone and tells him to call Yuri. Are you all right Yuri asks worriedly? He asks if Moises is right. Is she marrying him? Yuri’s silence speaks volumes. Enlightened, Cholo understands and tells her he never wants to see her again. Yuri tells Chela she just broke Cholo’s heart and that he will never forgive her. Chela suggests that she tell Cholo that she is doing it for him, but Yuri points out all that Moises has done in a matter of hours.

DEJAN Episode 71 Sugar, Spice and Much That Isn’t Nice Part 4 (Last)

Gonzalo shows Alicia the stacks of bills he got for the car sale. Eva’s greedy eyes bulge and she reaches for a stack. Alicia tells him the money will help immensely. When Gonzo mentions Fedora called him, Alicia refuses to talk about her since she is going crazy. Alicia then tells him that she has had a bad day since Martin’s daughter can’t stand her.

Martín is commiserating with Diablo, complaining that Sofia is not accepting Alicia. There is a knock and Martin asks Diablo to answer it. We see Diablo touching up his hair with his hands and realize that he is not immune to Carlota. The recent trysters talk and there is a moment of silence as Martin and Sofia appear. Carlota reminds Sofia that she was supposed to stay until tomorrow but is told Martín will be going out of town. When Carlota asks about her day, Sofi tells her that she had to spend time with her madrastra.

Rebeca worries about her treatment of the nurse. She thinks she is better off dead. Rebeca thinks Alicia could help them…but she would have to bring her mother. She momentarily forgets Eva’s name (if only we could). Fabian doesn’t mind if Eva comes too…at least Rebeca would have someone with her.

Fabian calls Alicia and asks her to stay there. For a few days…with her mother. Alicia agrees…and Eva thinks that they are now like Gypsies.

Martín calls Alicia just to say good morning and give her the phone number where he can reach her. Mabel goes to pick up Martín and he notes all the luggage.

Alicia calls Miranda with a loving Happy Birthday wish. Miranda would like her to be there and Alicia regrets not being able to be with her. She promises that things will get better and they will be together.

Yuri goes to see Cholo. Gutierrez relays the message but Cholo won’t see her. After muttering he isn’t Cholo’s secretary, he informs Yuri of the decision.

Miranda runs down the stairs happily and Sergio is sincere and effusive in his happy birthday wishes. Yaya’s is as heartfelt – Julieta’s not so much. Sergio tells her Yaya will make her favorite dinner and she can invite all her friends. Miranda tells him that the only one she wants there is her mother.

Mabel and Martin check in – it’s not quite the Ritz but not as exactly a no-tell motel. Martin goes out and his phone rings, clearly showing Alicia’s ID. Alas, the phone loses its charge and the call is disconnected. When the room phone ring, Mabel rightly realizes it is Alicia and saunters over, picking the receiver up saying hello. A startled Alicia manages to say hello and asks who it is!

And there we end!

I want to say it's good that Karina is worried about and aware of Yuri's situation but really what good is that going to do? Yuri is stupid, and her friends including her best friend Chela are too polite and cautious. Forget tip toeing around the subject! This chick needs a wake up call!!

Cuelbra does have a dad!!! I was wondering. I seriously was, not one mention or sight of his parents since day 1. He has spent all of this show playing video games and drinking beer with zero supervision and now we are supposed to believe he is worried about what daddy will say??? Um.....okay...

Miranda continues to shine! This young actress has impressed me a lot!

In no world, on no planet, from any perspective would anyone ever mistake Alicia for Martin's mother!!!! Eyes rolling.

1. Cholo should get a new lawyer anyway and not to save Yuri from next week's wedding but just for his own good. Is it as simple as requesting a new lawyer in Mexico?

2. How many people does Mujica take orders from? Toro (or whatever his name is) Sergio in regards to Martin's visitors, The general?, And Moises??? Probably several others. I bet that is hard to keep track of.

Karina is razor sharp as well as resourceful. If it weren't for her I doubt Cholo would be alive. I'm not sure where that evidence went about the gun, but I am confident she has a few more tricks up her sleeve. I am hoping Facundo isn't out of the picture, I had high hopes for their alliance.

Yuri needs more prayers than Cholo right now I think. She knows how deep the corruption runs and think she made her decision because she feels she had no other choice. A very, very bad choice.

Yes, Eva's eyes were glittering like gold at all that cash! I have a feeling she won't be able to resist. She needs to be caught and this might just accomplish that.

Diana, I get that Yuri is scared but Moises has already shown his cards. She knows he is corrupt. How do you trust a corrupt person to rescue you from a corrupt person? Is there really not another lawyer in that town? An honest capable one? They don't even have any real evidence against him. So he had something that the victim used to own a whole year later.....so what? That object could have been sold and resold a dozen times in a year. If I was his lawyer I wouldn't even try to say the evidence was planted I would just point out the fact that the 'evidence' proves absolutely nothing! I would think any decent honest lawyer could take this case.
 

TU AMOR ep 102 part 1

Valentina says that in addition to don Guillermo, they have to think about Carlitos because he also needs a heart. They go to the cafeteria where Valentina explains how Majo's heart could save the 18 year old sister of a young donor as well as Carlitos. Helena says she can't sacrifice her father's life to save others. He's finally got closer to her and she doen't want to lose him. She explains about the letter. She says she thinks it might explain why he hated her all this time. She and Valentina wonder if Yolanda might have written it.

Yolanda tells Nora to lose the annoyed look on her face because it won't work for the photo sessions. She doesn't have the build of a top model but with the right shoes she can look taller and more stylish. Nora gets a call from her father. She says he wants to see her in his office right away. Yolanda says Nora can go, but she wants her to do something for her. She wants Rosa Maria humiliated and Guillermo to despise her. If she succeeds, Yolanda will make her the most famous model in the world. She calls Ricardo to telll him to keep an eye on Nora. Yolanda is convinced that she's the traitor working with Uriel. Beba overhears the conversation.

Mother Aurora is at the bedside of Carlitos. He tells her that he's not afraid of dying. What he's more afraid of is not knowing what it feels like to have a mother love you. He says Valentina told him God's mother is also the mother of everyone, but he'll never be able to hold her because she lives in heaven. Rest, Aurora says, kissing his head sadly.

Claudio threatens Fernando Martínez with legal action and gets up to leave the bank. Fernando says he doesn't need any legal problems and, in fact, Valentina Fuentes didn't open the account at the village branch. It was Ricardo Manrique. He can't give him proof now, but tells Claudio to look for him in a couple of days when he'll give him everything he needs. If you don't, Claudio threatens, you'll end up in jail. And don't try to escape, because I have all your personal information.

Ricardo goes to Patricia's apartment to tell her that Guillermo wants to see them in the office with everyone else. She tells him to wait outside while she changes. She goes to the bedroom where Hector is finishing getting dressed. He wipes away some tears because he's been crying. What happened was a mistake, he says. I have to go. He runs into Ricardo on the way out. Ricardo taunts him about his pregnant sister and they mix it up a little before Hector leaves. This could cause us to lose everything, Patricia tells Ricardo. You got the wrong woman pregnant. You should have gotten Valentina pregnant, Pat says, because she's Guillermo's real daughter. Now that you know, you have to make sure that Camila gets rid of that child or your marriage could be annulled. If that happens, you and I will end up with nothing.

Rosa Maria asks Claudio to come to her office. She explains that Helena has to decide whether her father or Carlitos will be saved by Majo's heart donation. Claudio says Helena doesn't have that right legally, because she's not family. RM asks him to find a way to get her the right legally. He says he can't, because, even though Helena doesn't think so, Majo has a family member that would make the decision about donating her organs. He flashes back to Majo telling him about a sister she lost touch with. He thinks he could find her, but if she's a bad person like Majo told him, it will be dificult to convince her to donate the organs. She might want something in return. Well, find her, says Rosa Maria, as Claudio gets summned to Guillermo's office.
 

TU AMOR ep 102 part 2

Everyone is assembled around Guillermo's conference table when he comes in with the report of the investigators. They determined that the house burned as a result of arson, he tells them. Father has many enemies, says Nora. It could have been any one of them. You're wrong Nora, Guillermo says. I have rivals and competitors but not enemies. Where do you get such nonsense? Odd things have been happening ever since David got here, she tries. Don't you dare blame my son, says Adelaida. He's not capable of something like that. Besides, he was at a cafeteria with me when the fire started. Guillermo lets everyone leave when Claudio shows up. He tells Claudio that the fire at his house was intentional and he wants whoever did it to suffer the full weight of the law. Claudio remembers telling Nora that the house was probably insured.

Horacio finds Regino on the street in front of his house. He says they have to get this over with once and for all. You want to fight?, Regino says. That's classic barrio. You're all witnesses, says Horacio to some bystanders. I'll see you tomorrow at the usual place for fighting. A neighbor tells Consuelo about it. They're going to have a duel?, she thinks. What is it, the 19th century?

Valentina is about to tell Helena what Majo said when she woke from her coma. Leonardo shows up at the cafeteria. He apologizes for interrupting, but says he needs to speak to Helena. After Val leaves, he talks about helping out Helena. He says they don't know when Majo will wake up. Helena tells him that she's brain dead and isn't going to get better. Leonardo leans back in his chair and blows out air as if he's either sorry or relieved. He says he could help Helena get a new taller. He has some things he could sell. Valentina and I are going to work together to start a new taller, Helena says. Valentina returns to tell her something privately. Leonardo takes this as his cue to leave.

Lucha and Mechita look for clues in Nora's room. They find a box of matches in her purse which is odd because Nora doesn't smoke. There is also a receipt for ethanol from a hardware store.

Hector comes home and asks Camila if she's really expecting Ricardo's baby. He says he's a good for nothing and having his baby is a big mistake. Don't talk like that , says Consuelo. No child is a mistake. Every child is a blessing from God. I know mom, Hector says, but not everyone thinks that way, like your little son Leonardo. What are you saying?, Connie asks. Mina brings some drawings of Camila's baby. Hector assures Camila that her child will of course be welcome, and he'll be a proud uncle.

Lizia doesn't know what the key she found in Enrique's office is for. She hears him telling Patricia that he hid the money in a locker at the bus station.

Beba sends a text that her cable signal has interference and to send a technician. Uriel realizes, that means that Yolanda is suspicious. He texts back that a tech will come there tonight. Yolanda's detective says that Uriel is exchanging coded messages with someone. Yolanda says she'll have the phones of all her employees checked and she'll find out who Uriel's accomplice is. The detective doesn't think it's a good idea because not only is it illegal, but it would also tip off the accomplice. How well do your security cameras work?, he asks. That may be our answer.
 

TU AMOR ep 102 part 3

When Valentina goes to check on Majo, she discovers her twin sister Judith in the room. She introduces herself and asks if Rosa Maria contacted her. No, says Judith, I found out on the social networks and came to see her. We weren't close, but under the circumstances I felt compelled to visit her. I also wanted to find out what happened. Who is the doctor in charge? Rosa Maria enters the room.

Rosa Maria has Judith come to her office. We didn't know Majo had any family, she says. Is there a reason you were looking?, Judith asks. We have a case in the hospital that requires a heart transplant, Rosa Maria explains. She could save many lives through her death, Samara adds. I have no problem with donating Majo's organs, says Judith, as long as we talk about the right price, of course.

Claudio has some bad news for Guillermo. If it turns out that someone in the family or the business started the fire, the insurance company won't pay one centavo. It would be a tremendous blow to your corporate image, Claudio says, and would cause irreperable damage to your business allies and suppliers. I need you to find out who did this, Guillermo orders. Nora appears and Claudio asks to speak to her alone. I really doubt that you would send the sister of the love of your life to jail, Nora says. I wouldn't, Claudio agrees, but as the owner of half the mansion that burned, Patricia might.

Excellent, Diana, thank you. Yes, there is a “fairytale” . . . I had a good laugh.

The highlight of the episode for me was Miranda informing the principal that she has ALREADY filed a complaint with the police as the principal was trying to defend her own stymieing of the investigation. Looks like Culebra will not be able to accompany her in this journey for justice and that might be a good thing for grow her own self-esteem, life-changing as a matter of fact.

Looks like Eva and her light fingers might be discovered sooner rather than later.

I am so over stupid Yuri. Moisés enjoyed Cholo crying way too much. Hope he pays for it eventually dragged down from his association with Mujica somehow.

Well, it is raining and 56 outside. It isn’t 90 anymore! Looks like a good day to run some errands.

Speaking of, Helena’s heart continues to be assaulted with a myriad of emotions. Forced to be Solomon, what will her decision be? Our own hearts are heavy but lighten a bit when we realize she will not need to make that decision. Yet Hector’s treachery, sure to be her deepest wound remains hidden for the moment.

Lucha and Mechita – the new Nancy Drew and George Fayne.

I can’t help but imagine what might have transpired had Leo met Judith instead of Majo. With black hearts and no conscience, they would have made a truly gruesome twosome.

There have been several times when Leo seems to be experiencing some pain. It happened again last night and I think this might be important. Of course Valentina not yet having told Helena that Leo is responsible for Majo’s fall hangs enticingly in the air – unsaid.

“You have to make sure that Camila gets rid of that child or your marriage could be annulled”. Patricia is stone cold.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I am worried for Beba. The glass walls offer no privacy and Beba has lost her poker face. Yolanda seems to be putting her heinous eye on her.

The walls are closing in on Nora…I vote to unleash Patty and let her have a go at her…

Judith throws a huge monkey wrench in the mix. What will happen???

I think Moises would have allowed Cholo to be killed off during the honeymoon that Yuri doesn't want. She might know this on some unconscious level.

I could easily see Eva stealing that cash. If so I hope she is caught in the act. Gonzalo finally makes a good decision and then loses everything? I hope not. The other problem is that cash can't be identified the same way that jewelry can. The pawnbroker can testify that Eva brought jewelry and a trophy to his shop and that he paid her money for them, but this cash could disappear.

If most of SerJerk's assets were the result of illegal activity -- such as laundering money through the foundation -- they can be seized even if he isn't convicted. The only thing that might have been honestly purchased was the house, since he seems to have owned that for 30 years or more. Any judge who's a human being would award that to Alicia in its entirety and she could sell it at a great price during the scandal. That would give her enough to buy a new house, one now quite as big, and she obviously would get custody of Miranda when SerJerk either is taken to prison or drops dead. If the chain of corruption comes rattling down he is at one end of it with this charge.

Prison sentences for money laundering in Mexico can be 15-30 years depending on the magnitude of the crime.

Diana, thank you for yet another amazing recap. You covered every heartbreaking moment as the writers furiously stir this pot of angst and suffering. Uff How will they resolve all these tangled , tense storylines ?

Fairtales often show the hero's journey , so I wonder how these journeys for the heroes and the villains will end . This tn was short on heroes and long on seldush, evil folks.

Eva has unbelievable nerve as she continues to throw stones at Fedora when confronted with the theft of the necklace. I hope that Fedora doesn't let this go and that Eva's gamb!ing addiction is revealed soon.

I was hoping that Alicia and her albatross Awful Eva would go to Rebecca's house . It would solve both Alicia and Rebecca's current problems , and in stressful times, it is a blessing to be with close friends .

I had hoped Yuri might have stipulated that Cholo need to be freed before the marriage. But I doubt he would have agreed. Your idea of divorce immediately after vindication is a good one!

It's obvious Mabe is under Alicia's skin. She is beautiful and very, very cunning. Alicia's confidence has been shaken so it will be interesting to see what she does now that Mabe answered "Peter Pan's" line :)

Maybe Eva will try to steal some of Rebecca's jewelry and get caught by Fabian. SerJerk is unlikely to believe Alicia but would believe Fabian. Another thing for him to go on the warpath about.

If she stole any of Gonzalo's money she would be sabotaging his ability to open his business. I wonder whether she even thought about that or... she would do that intentionally because of how it would "bring us down."
 

Urban, Eva thinks of nobody but herself , and she isn't as smart as she thinks she is. She throws a lot of stones as she scolds everyone around her. Stealing from family and friends is shameful. I hope Fedora keeps after her and that Alicia relents and talks to Fedora. Maybe Rebecca will bring them together to Compare notes and uncover what Eva has been up to. Somebody has to fina!!y reveal what Eva has been up to all this time . It will be another blow to Alicia.

I hate the disrespectful way Jul treats Yaya. At !east Serg reprimanded her and apo!ogized to Yaya. If on!y he had treated Alicia with that much respect. Serg is slowly realizing what he threw away for Jul and seeing her at last for what she truly is.... him in a skin tight sheath dress and high heels.

Diana, regarding Leo's reaction to Majo's being dead, I would say that Leo is experiencing relief rather than pain, but it may be that some tiny shred of decency might end up doing him in. That would be ironic! I'm glad Claudio had some success with the banker. At least he knows enough now to keep Val out of jail. It will be interesting to see how Nora tries to discredit Rosa Maria. Incredibly selfish as usual, Patricia wants to get rid of Camila's baby. Another physical attack? Claudio knows that Majo has a sister, but oh, please, an identical twin? Give me a break! Nora is creepy as usual in suggesting David was the arsonist. It was certainly stupid of Nora to save the receipt for the accelerant, and I'm glad Lucha found it. I'm a bit surprised that Yolanda is still not on to Beba.

SpanProf, you are totally correct in that Leo is experiencing relief. What I was trying to say but said it badly is that I think he is suffering physical pain as a result of the beating. Some subtle shaking of the head and being off balance a bit. It would be poetic justice if something were terribly wrong with his brain? I know it sounds cold but he is a cold blooded murderer among many reprehensible things.

Nora's keeping that receipt was a huge mistake, I completely agree! She stupidly seems to feel she is invincible, doesn't she?

Thank heavens for Claudio, acting like a galan to get to the bottom of Ricardo's ill gotten money and Val's non-involvement.

OMG if there is one more assault on Camila, I will scream!!! Let's hope St. David is within earshot and arm's length from now on. :)

This is the pet peeve of the writers in the real world Martin and Alicia wouldn't turn one head or lift one eyeball they do not look odd together at all. It's interesting to see the point driven home though it has been a bit of a double standard although probably more so in decades past than in 2021.

SI NOS DEJAN #72

Part 1

1. Alicia is left annoyed and wondering as Eva goes on about how she thought she'd be killed off quickly by some terminal disease by now but instead she is wandering from house to house and it all being her own daughters fault. Alicia tries not to be baited by Eva when she guesses that Alicia's current quiet mood is due to the fact that Martín Guerra the hippie has left her. Alicia finally asks her if she ever gets tired of hurting her. Eva cares not to see that is what she is doing.

2. In Reynosa, Mabe is still in Martín's room as they talk about their schedule. She has good news: her brother got them an appointment with the police chief for today. Martín will meet her down in the lobby after washing up.

3. At breakfast, Julieta suggests that Miranda has a big party for her friends. They can have a karaoke and they can all sing. Miranda says that is a no go because she doesn't like karaoke and she doesn't have any friends. She corrects herself the she does have one friend but her father hates him. Miranda asks if she can have Culebra come to her family party that evening. Sergio isn't going to say yes to Culebra but does happily agree to Alicia coming when Miranda asks for that as her only gift. He is going to call her and invite her himself. Miranda is overjoyed. When Julieta tries to suggest that Alicia and Miranda go out to do their own thing, Sergio gets cross. He will do whatever is necessary for his children.

4. Yuri tells Chela how Yuri refused to see her. She tries to explain that she is between a rock and a hard place. Her marrying Moisés is the only way to get Cholo out of jail and preventing him from getting killed. She hopes it turns out to be a worthwhile decision.

5. Mujica stops by Cholo's cell to torment him. Cholo is upset and pacing. He tells him to mind his manners because if he doesn't, he will see he is sent directly to the big house no matter how his lawyer has postponed that move. Cholo gets into Mujica's smirking face and tells him he is not doing a thing and for Mujica to go and do his job.

6. Cholo's cellmate is getting the orders from one of Toro's guys to kill Cholo. Toro wants results. The cellmate tells the guy that it isn't so easy because Cholo is no pushover and isn't stupid. The guy gives him a little help literally under the table: a shiv made out of a toothbrush. He hides it in his shoe.
 

DEJAN

Part 2

7. Rebeca talks to Fedora and tells her about Alicia coming to stay with her. Fedora feels so sorry for Alicia. Rebeca invites her over for some coffee so all three of them can talk. Fedora says she has a lot going on but will be there as soon as she is free.

8. Martín sees that he missed a call from Alicia on his cellphone and calls her back being his happy peppy self but Alicia isn't into chatting. She is very busy just like he must be. She is so busy that it is better that they talk later. She hangs up. Martín starts to wonder what is up with Alicia.

9. Miranda is at school passing out and posting flyers for her antibullying movement. Culebra appears in the hall and she is not happy to see him. He tries to explain that her intentions are good but she is going to cause a really big mess. Miranda cannot believe he is that big of a coward. He is afraid she is going to get expelled and get everyone against her. Miranda says at least he could have wished her a happy birthday. She turns and leaves.

10. Just as they are ready to leave the hotel and head over to Rebeca's, Alicia gets another phone call. It is Sergio. Eva gets all excite seeing that ti is Sergio. Sergio invites Alicia to Miranda's birthday party after he reminds her of the huge earthquake that took place the night that Miranda was born. He explains that Miranda wanted them together as a family as her only gift. She asks if he is sure. He informs her that the psychiatrist says they have to learn how to get along better for Miranda's sake. Alicia says they have a long way to go to get there. She asks what Julieta thinks about all of this. Sergio tells her that it doesn't matter what Julieta thinks about it. Alicia says she will come but only if Gonzo can come, too. Sergio happily agrees. Gonzo is his son. The party is at 8:00.

11. Eva is giddy with joy. She knows she is always right: Sergio is using Miranda's party as a way to get close to Alicia. Alicia can start to get her territory back. Alicia tells her to cut the fantasies. There will never ever be a reconciliation with Sergio. The two finally leave the hotel.

12. Julieta is at the abortion clinic as Chiquis incessantly tries to talk her into keeping the baby. All that Julieta is sorry for is that she ever brought Chiquis with her. They finally call Julieta for her appointment.
 

DEJAN

Part 3

13. Moisés is at the office with Yuri all over her "the most beautiful novia of all of Mexico." As she is chomping on a box of chocolates, it comes out that he has told three people about their upcoming wedding: Andreína, Jorge and Cholo. It angers her that he told Cholo. She accuses him of not being very professional. He says he was just trying to identify with his client, trying to gain his confidence. He asks her to allow him to do things his way.

14. Cholo's cellmate attacks him with the shiv but Cholo is able to hold him off long enough until the police can break them up. The cellmate insists the shiv ins't his. Karina says they aren't stupid and orders them to take him away. Karina decides to change Cholo's cell. Gutiérrez informs her that Mujica isn' going to like that. She assumes full responsibility. She asks Cholo why he cannot control himself. He says then other guy started it. She tells him that he is going to end up in prison for killing a criminal. Cholo insists being thrown in prison would be worth it at this point. He is fed up with it all.

15. As they wait for the police chief, Mabe remarks to Martín that he has looked sort of down since they left the hotel. He says it is nothing. The police chief has all of Toro's info when he was passing through Reynosa. He hands them a folder. The police chief says they didn't have enough evidence and then Toro fled the area. The police chief has no idea where he went but gives them a lead on where to go and who to talk to to get more information. Lili was a very good friend of Toro.

16. As Alicia and Eva wait to leave the hotel, Alicia finds out that their bill has been paid in full. Eva is sure it must have been Sergio. It turns out is was Fedora. Alicia calls Fedora on the spot and tells her that if she thinks that by paying for the hotel she is going to forget about what she did, she is wrong. Fedora says that wasn't it. She knows Alicia si going through a very difficult time and wanted to make things a little better for her. Fedora loves her. even if Alicia decides to never forgive her. She will always be there for her, for the rest of her life, for whatever she needs. Alicia doesn't want her charity. Fedora insists it isn't charity. What she did to Alicia is causing her great pain. She will love her friend Alicia forever.

17. Julieta emerges a the abortion clinic as Chiquis tries to get some info from her about how it went. Julieta is not talking.

18. Nicole throws one of Miranda's flyers in the trash. She and her friend agree that Miranda's group is going to be for LOSERS. Miranda passes by as they have a good laugh but says nothing.

19. Miranda sees Ariana looking at the flyer. Ariana finds it interesting. Miranda says she is going to join because it would be a super idea to protest. She says Ariana should join, too, because she has been a victim. As Ariana starts to guess that Miranda made the flyers, Culebra appears. That is enough for Miranda and she leaves. Ariana asks what happened between Culebra and Miranda. Culebra explains he messed up big time and especially on her birthday. Ariana didn't know it was her birthday.

20. Fabián helps Alicia and Eva move into his house. After Rebeca welcomes them, Eva moans about having to travel from house to house like gypsies or nomads. Fabián says they can do whatever they want whenever they want. Fabián makes it clear he still doesn't understand how Sergio could have thrown Alicia out like he did. It is unforgivable. Alicia answers that nobody ever said that getting divorced was going to be easy.
 

DEJAN

Part 4

21. At the network, Sergio is pumping Diablo for info about Martín and Alicia but Diablo isn't talking. He asks Sergio if everything is okay with Julieta. Sergio says course! He was just being curious.

22. Martín tries calling Alicia again. it goes to her voicemail. He leaves a pleasant message about missing her and for her to call him.

23. Alicia sees the message when Rebeca comes in to chat with her. Alicia is so happy being there. Rebeca is happy, too. Rebeca wonders where Fedora is. Alicia doesn't think she is going to come because they had falling out. Rebeca asks why she didn't tell her. Alicia says not to pay any attention to her, she is sure that Fedora must be on her way.

24. Lucas finds out from his lawyer Jorge that a decision on his case is pending and only a phone call away and that his half-sister Miranda is having a birthday party that evening. Lucas' news could be a big birthday surprise.

25. Julieta talks to Mabe and adits she couldn't go through with the abortion. Mabe is so happy for her and tells her she will never be sorry for her choice. Mabe is even a little envious. Julieta has to explain that her decision was not based on any kind of "maternal feeling attack" but rather it is the only thing she has to keep Sergio on the line. Sergio keeps saying that children are the most sacred things so this one will be more sacred than the other three. Even Mabe has a hard time hearing this. Julieta says she will tell Sergio at exactly the right time, not one minute before.

26. Mabe brings Martín a cup of coffee. They are going to go find Lili next. He thanks her for her support. She is all googly eyed when she tells him it was nothing.

27. Alicia, Gonzo and Lorena meet at the cooking school kitchen. They have two orders to fill for the weekend already. Alicia tells Gonzo that she really wants him to come to Miranda's party tonight. Miranda needs them all more than ever. Julieta isn't going to stop them. Lorena supports Alicia and says he cannot punish Miranda because fo what his father did. Lorena wants them to get started on the birthday cake. Gonzo gives in but doubts the party is going to be as pleasant as they might hope.

28. Karina tries to explain to an angry Mujica why she changed Cholo's cell. His cellmate was trying to kill him. Mujica says that is nothing new. Murderers are always trying murder each other. He sees her act as one of insubordination. She says she just did what any official in her place would have done. Mujica is more interested in her buying him the beers she owes him to earn some points with him. She is clearly uncomfortable. He won't take any excuses. He insists they are going out tonight. He tells her he might have some good news for her and to behave herself.

29. Martín and Mabe make contact with Lili in the bar where she is a waitress. They explain they are journalists writing an article about Toro. They find out from a reluctant Lili that her life with Toro was a mess. His name should be "dog" instead of "bull" because that is exactly what he is. After living with her for months, he left to go see his wife and some brats he had. He gave her no info on how to contact him. He had tons of secrets and told her nothing. She always felt he was running from something and was afraid of being trapped. He was involved in the drug trade in Reynosa. She never asked questions. She doesn't want any problems. She does know that his wife lives in Mexico City. Mabe asks if she knows her name.
 

DEJAN

Part 5

30. Quique is telling his mother how terrible it was that she was called a thief when it wasn't true. She would rather not talk about that situation now. Marcela tells him that his father always treated her badly but she always pretended everything was fine in front of him and his sister. Now she is sick and tired of pretending. She is not about to put up with anyone mistreating her anymore.

31. Toro comes in with a couple of his buddies and a few six packs of beers. He tells Marcela to hurry up with the food because they are hungry. Marcela keeps working the kitchen.

32. Sergio's house is all decorated for the party. He asks Yaya how it is going. She says fine but she misses Alicia. Sergio agrees that nothing is the same without her.

33. Julieta marches in with a big box with a big pink ribbon for Miranda. Miranda looks inside and says it is a dress. Julieta makes sure she knows it isn't any dress but is an Echevarría. Every one is on a waiting list to get a dress from her but not Julieta. It is clear that Miranda knows nothing about the designer and doesn't care. She puts the dress back in the box, thanks Julieta and leaves with her phone in tow.

34. Julieta has tried to look good for Sergio and he tells her he wishes she had been bit more discreet in her dress for a family birthday party.

35. Moisés arrives. Yuri asks Miranda if Alicia is coming. Sergio says that their mother, grannie, everyone is coming.

36. Ariana is all dressed up for Miranda's party and tries to convince Culebra to go to the party with her. He thinks it would be a waste of time; everyone hates him; it would be a crazy thing to do. Ariana asks him if he wouldn't be willing to do something crazy for Miranda or not.

37. Rebeca has arrived with Fabián. She chats with Miranda. Fabián tells Sergio he wishes things were like they were before: that Rebeca didn't have Alzheimers and that Alicia were back in the home where she belongs. He explains that Alicia is coming with Gonzo.

38. Alicia, Eva and Gonzo arrive. Julieta says hi to Alicia and welcomes them all to HER house. After a moment os silence, Sergiotries to make nice and welcomes everyone to "their" home.

39. Julieta is upset that Alicia is in the kitchen. Sergio has to tell her that Alicia just went to greet Yaya. Alicia with a smile tells julieta that she notices all the changes that Julieta made to the house. Julieta says there were so many things that were so old fashioned and in bad taste. All of the photos are in the storage room where they will never emerge from again. Alicia never stops smiling and excuses herself when Sergio walks over.

40. Moisés makes thea announcement that he and Yuri are going to be married after all. Sergio and Eva look like the only ones happy to hear the news. Yuri explains the marriage will be soon but it will be a small one only for the family.

41. A still chipper Martín calls Alicia again. He says it was a crazy day. He called her several times and she didn't answer. He asks if everything is okay. She says it is. He asks her what is wrong. He has felt that something was off from the first time they spoke. She insists she is okay and is celebrating Miranda's birthday. He asks if she is at Sergio's house. She says yes and since they are celebrating, she cannot talk to him. They will talk later.

42. Eva complains to Yaya that because of that little woman Julieta they lost their house, their well being, their tranquility, everything. Yaya tells her that everything will turn out okay. Julieta asks Yaya to set the table.


 

DEJAN

Part 6

43. Eva tells Julieta that Alicia's visit must have really scared her. Julieta says not at all. Eva thinks her dress with way too much cleavage and all the bling show the opposite. Common women like her you can see from a helicopter. Julieta asks how she can dare to insult her in her own home. Eva reminds her it isn't her "own" home. She can live there but it will never be her "own" home and she knows to. She also advises Julieta to go on a diet because she is getting fat. She has a real belly on her. Julieta's smile is long gone.

44. Alicia asks Yuri about her now deciding to marry Moisés. Yuri says it is a long story. Alicia tells her she has the time to hear it.

45. Just as Julieta is asking everyone to have a seat at the table, the doorbell rings. It is Lucas with a court document in his hand and a smile on his lips. Sergio informs Lucas that this is a family gathering (he doesn't belong) Lucas disagrees. He thinks this is the perfect moment withal of the family present to clarify things. Sergio orders him out of the house bu Lucas will not be dissuaded. It might be Miranda's birthday but he has a gift for Sergio. He shows him the document. It is the judgment from the court stating that he is his legitimate son. He adds a "papá" at the end. Everyone is shocked and just stare at everyone else. He is now officially Lucas Carranza. Everyone keeps looking around as Lucas smirks.

What is this with us women thinking we can hold a child over a man’s head to control him...it just baffles me.l, just look at Julieta right now...that poor baby on the way is just a pawn to her in her twisted game. I’m so over her at this point. Alicia, don’t let your insecurities about your age push Martin away!!!! Have you met Kris Jenner???!!! What is a 15 year old difference between you and Martin compared to her 25 year old difference with her boyfriend??!! Yes Mabel is young and beautiful but Martin loves you...you!!!! Get over yourself already... and Mabel have some dignity, get your own man who will love you and leave Martin alone!!! Why do ppl do that?? Manipulating a situation especially in matters of love to get what or who you want...that’s just wrong.

One last thought...what if Miss Wedding Planner ends up pregnant with Moises’ baby...that will be interesting to watch.

I am happy for Lucas, I am. He got his moment and he deserved it and it needed to happen......it didn't need to be on Miranda's birthday at her birthday party! This girl can never have a moment that is about her. That said, I continue to be impressed by the change in her. The way she stands up for herself and draws the line for Cuelbra without throwing a fit as you would have before. I loved the way she thanked him for the lovely happy birthday greeting! LOL I am not even sure she needs Nelson to melt her heart, this girl is growing up!

I am worried about Karina. If Gutierrez is actually a good guy as I hope, he needs to rescue her from drinks tonight! I would say she should come to her own rescue, but I don't think she will she seems too intimidated. Please please please, don't let her get abused. I will be so mad if the writers go there.

I know calling Julieta fat is a plot device and all, but please that woman is anything but fat! And after everything that happens Eva can still hope for reconciliation and refer to Sergio as 'your husband' she really is delusional.

I can't wait for tonight to see how everyone reacts to the bomb drop! Should be interesting!!

Announcing an engagement or a pregnancy at someone else's celebratory event is considered rude. Moises should know better than that.

Lucas definitely was out to embarrass SerJerk who deserved it.

Juleech announcing her pregnancy at this event would definitely trump Lucas' announcement. Alicia and her children don't deserve this. The only benefit would be Eva finally realizing that it would put the kibosh once and for all on any miniscule chance of reconciliation.... maybe.

Nicole will definitely end up the loser in this situation. In the hierarchy of villanas she has to be disposed of before Eva. I almost hope that Miranda will dump Diego for his cowardice in this and find a better prospect at the end. Diego has a lesson to learn. Miranda has to come out of this a complete winner.

Toro and Mujica have to fall before SerJerk does. I hope Karina can make that happen, but she might need a little help from Martin and Mabel, the latter of whom will have to get bitchslapped for her latest attempt at breaking up Martin and Alicia.

You'd think that Juleech would be smart enough to know that pregnancy entrapment doesn't work. All it does is create resentment. In this case it will also create -- oh, horrors! -- Scandal.

Urban, I never really thought about the order the villains must fall in. Fascinating. If Julieta announced her pregnancy at the party, too, would that send old Sergio to the hospital where he would be debatiendo entre la vida y la muerte? I can hope, right?


Funny how much I am rooting for Lucas to get what he is entitled to now. It was so appropriate to let all the family know he was one f them at the same time.

Somehow I got the feeling from the way she was looking at him that Marcela has one foot out the door already when it comes to Toro.

I have to hand it to Alexis Ayala again for giving such a nuanced performance as that three-timing (at least ) rat Sergio.

Eva was at her nasty best putting some doubt into Julieta’s brain about her pregnancy already showing by telling her she needed to go on a diet. Julieta looked miserable.

Eva's timing was excellent there; she hit the bull's eye while blindfolded. I am still wondering whether Juleech had a mother like her.

Darcy, that is a good point about Juleech's baby. If Lucas meant nothing, hers would mean less in view of Alicia's grown children. I don't think that most men SerJerk's age want to go through all that again. If Juleech had announced her pregnancy -- and the party isn't over yet although it's ruined -- that definitely could send SerJerk to the hospital. It's making me wonder when the money laundering anvil will drop. Most likely after Eva's gambling and thefts are revealed. She has to pay for that.

Quite frankly, I'm torn over whether SerJerk should die or go to prison. If his death could stop an investigation into the last 30 years of his finances I'd be satisfied if that means that Alicia and her kids get it all to do with as they please. Miranda could go to a good college, Gonzalo could have enough to build his catering business, and Alicia could sell this house and live as she pleases.

I am really not liking how they keep slamming Alicia's age. This is making me believe she will not walk off into the sunset with Martin at the end. As to his weakness as a galan, the writing team is not all men or all women. Gender bias is not likely to be an issue.

Well, it wasn't a surprise birthday party but...there were a bunch of surprises.

It's so satisfying watching the meanies being mean to each other !!! Eva trapping Jul in the kitchen and scolding\terrorizing her was great . The cherry on top was Evil Eva pointing out that she was putting on weight.Ha. This is what happens when you wear skin tight cocktail dresses everywhere everyday when you aren't in your red baby doll jammies . You are getting a little water weight, Jul. ha ha

Jul telling Alicia how tacky her things and photos are was so nasty and cringe worthy . Jul bas never heard that good advice " When in doubt,say and do tbd kindest thing." Jul is so careless with other people's feelings . That anvil over Jul's head is getting bigger and heavier.

Urban, you and me both: I am so sick of Alicia’s age being thrown in her face. As for Martín the “goofy galán”, I am sort enjoying the fact that they have made him into a more of a real person rather than a formulaic hero. Just because he wouldn’t be my cup of tea, doesn’t mean he couldn’t be Alicia’s. I still am hoping that once Alicia has time to gain some equilibrium in her life, she will choose him. As for Sergio, that is a tough one when you think of possible financial consequences for Alicia. Even if Alicia ends up not in any financial need, I hope she follows through with the catering business.

Wowee-WOW-WOW, what an ending! I'm SO glad that (Lucas) cat is out of the bag, but like Darcy, I thought it was horrible that he did it at Miranda's birthday party. That was very inconsiderate and selfish; he is definitely Serjerk's son. I would have preferred that he share that document with the media...that bomb would have had more of an impact. The good thing is that Alicia will now have more leverage in her fight for a good settlement. And Moises annoucing that the wedding is back on was also bad, inconsiderate timing.

I still can't stand Eva but that little stab she took at Julieta was epic!

Whatever happens with SerJerk's assets I think Alicia and Gonzalo will go through with the business. Both are motivated and talented. There is Lorena, and the girls support them. Yuri probably earns enough to spare some inve$tment cash. Not yet prepared to believe that the rift between Alicia and Fedora will be repaired anytime soon.

As to Martin's weakness as a galan, I have to say I don't do goofy. I appreciate decisive and proactive which means... Jorge Salinas.

Is it real what she told us?, Samara asks Rosa Maria, using a stage whisper, right in front of Judith. I think so, RM says quietly. I suppose that's why she wasn't close to her sister. It could cause legal problems for us and the hospital, Samara whispers. At least we'll find out her intentions, says Rosa Maria. She turns to Judith (who must have heard everything). I'm sorry, she says, what you're asking us is unethical. It's immoral and it's also illegal. We can't do it for any reason. Better take some time and think about it, Judith tells her. If you don't give me 10 million pesos ($500,000) you won't get my consent.

Helena and Valentina arrive at Rosa Maria's office. Pleased to meet you, Helena tells Judith. Majo never told me she had a sister. It's possible she knows the insurance will cover the cost of the mansion and well, just like that, her problem is solved. Sounds reasonable, Yolanda says. That girl's malevolence is reaching it's limit. Beba comes in to the office to ask if she should send Yolanda's dress to the cleaners. No, Yolanda responds, remind me to discount the 2000 dollars it cost me from your payroll. Oooh, Ricardo thinks, smiling.

Consuelo is very worried about Horacio's upcoming fight with Regino. She doesn't want him to get hurt. Regino is a bully and a criminal, she warns. In Cibernético's lair, Regino is checking over his knife. He doesn't think he'll need it, but if things go badly, he wants Ciber to slip it to him. He'll use it to send Horacio to the hospital. When Claudio returns home, he sees Horacio lighting a candle in front of an image of "Our Lady". If I lose the fight or something happens to me, Horacio says, I entrust Claudio and Consuelo to you. And Helena and Valentina too, I love her very much. Many years ago I promised you that I wouldn't get into any more fights, but I have to protect my family. Claudio comes in. From 1 to 10 how much did you hear?, Horacio asks him. 12, says Claudio.

Nora flashes back to a conversation she had with Yolanda. She asked her how she could make her father hate Rosa Maria. What would make you hate the man you love?, Yolanda asks. If he was unfaithful, Nora says. Oh, I understand. I should make my father think that Rosa Maria is being unfaithful. Even better, Yolanda advises, is if Rosa Maria really is unfaithful. I don't understand, Nora says. You want me to look for a galan or what? Oh, you really do understand, Yolanda says. I once paid a young man to make a mother and daughter fall in love with him. It's how I managed to make a marriage unravel, and to this day, the family is still in pieces. I'm sure she means my father, Nora thinks, flashing back to the present.

Adelaida invites David to stay with them at the new house. She doesn't like the place he's staying at now. The area around his hotel isn't very good. Guillermo says he's welcome, and even tells him to call him tío. Nora says the new place is very large and she needs someone to talk to. Davd agrees, but says there is someplace he needs to go first.

Hector shows up at Horacio's house and Claudio is upset that he didn't tell him about the fight. Not only that, Hector is planning to train him at the gym. Claudio asks his father to let them talk alone. I'm going with you, Claudio says. I'm not leaving my father by himself. What's going on with Helena? Are you fighting? When I left the house, Hector says, I didn't have a car or any money. I had no place to stay. I went to Patricia's. And?, asks Claudio. And, I slept with her. You did what?, Valentina asks, joining the conversation. Helena might be angry with you, but she would never sleep with another man. There is no justification for what you did. Forgive me for what I'm going to ask you, Claudio says to Hector, but we need your help. Patricia threatened to send my sister to jail if I didn't marry Ricardo, Valentina explains. She's very dangerous.

Hello everyone, David says, at what looks like an AA meeting. I'm David and I'm an addict. After I lost my leg, the pain was so unbearable that I became addicted to painkillers. I started stealing medicine from hospitals. I've been clean for two years but the pain has come back. No matter how much I try to meditate, it's impossible for me to ignore. I'm really afraid of a relapse. Sorry, he says, wiping away tears. I'm so afraid of disappointing my mother that I just met.

In his conference room, Guillermo asks Helena to take a seat. He wants to clear up things with her. I know I didn't let you get close to me, he admits. Every time you tried, I pushed you away. Please sit, he asks, pulling out a chair. I think we should leave the past behind, Helena suggests, and find a way for you to get your new heart. I can't get too excited about that, Guillermo replies. I know I could die at any moment. But I didn't want to go without saying goodbye to you. You should know that I didn't write that letter, Helena says, but you didn't want to believe me. My mother slept with my novio. Helena, Guillermo says, I want our relationship to get better, but you have to be honest. Your mother would never have done that. What would I gain by lying about it?, Helena asks. Why would I hurt the man I most loved? The man that was my hero? The man who would do anything for me? That man was you. I would never have lied to you about something like that. OK, he says, assuming you're telling the truth, you caused your mother's death. It was an accident, Helena says, jumping up. I see that I'm wasting my time. I wanted to erase the past, but you, as always, don't. She leaves crying and is comforted by Adelaida.

When David arrives at the new house, Nora suggests that he see Rosa Maria. She's like the family doctor, she explains. I'm sure she could prescribe something for the pain in your leg. Rosa Maria is surprised to see them in her office because Nora came without an appointment. She asks David what his symptoms are. Lately, I'm experiencing intense pain, he explains, and every time it gets worse. I'm experiencing what I felt when they amputated the leg. Let me check you, Rosa Maria says.

Horacio flashes back to a time when Regino and he were friends. They were tired of all the crime in the barrio and agreed to work together to protect their neighbors and families. What happened to our friendship?, he thinks. I don't want to fight.

Yolanda tells Beba about the call she got from the paparazzi. He wanted to blackmail me, she says. He didn't even tell me what he wants in return. I find it strange that he's not looking for me, Beba says. I'm the one that made the deal with him in the first place. Exactly, says Yolanda, there are opportunistic people that want to take advantage of everything. And as you well know, I get those people out of my way. Look at this, she says, handing Beba a photo. How ungrateful, Beba says, and you gave him a job. How foolish, Yolanda says, because I always find out about everything. Uriel wants to harm me. I'm sure of that. You have to do something so he doesn't get away with it, Beba says. Of course I will, Yolanda asserts, and I have the perfect person to stop him from bothering me. You. Use your creativity, I've always trusted you. Give that traitor Uriel what he deserves. As Beba leaves, Yolanda watches her closely.

Hector tells Valentina and Claudio that he can't help them. He doesn't want to get more involved with Patricia. You don't have to get more involved, Claudio assures him. You only have to pretend that you're her friend. It's the best way to get the information that we need. I don't know if I can do it, Hector says. After everything that happened, I don't think I could stay at her house. I better go. Will you think about it?, Claudio asks. Yes, Hector says, opening the door. On the street, a masked stranger runs up behind him. Hector receives a vicious hit from a pipe like object to the back of his head. He falls to the ground and the stranger kicks him repeatedly, without mercy. Consuelo comes out of her house and drives the stranger away with a shout. She realizes the victim is her son Hector. Talk to me son, she says crying, please answer me. She becomes more desperate as Hector fails to respond. The masked stranger watches through what looks like Leonardo's eyes.

JoelD, you related the heart stopping action perfectly. I was on the edge of my seat last night. I am so appreciative as you answered all of my questions as to what I didn't understand. Yet another stellar outing.

I've been watching TNs for 13 years and last night's ending was one of the few that totally caught me off guard. We knew Hector was going to be assaulted but when the perpetrator took off his hood to reveal Leo, my mouth literally dropped open. With this beyond savage, inhuman beating of his own BROTHER, Leo has now sank to the bottom pit of hell.

Is Nora's plan to have Rosa Maria be "caught" with David???? I'd roll my eyes but these writers have a way to make the implausible happen.

Where is the smarmy, assured Beba? Growing a conscience has made her jittery and highly suspect. I can't help but think Yolanda has a special trap set for her.

Claudio has been very galan like. Supporting, thinking, analyzing and threatening when he needs to. I'm surprised that he and Valentina already know Hector cheated on Helena. And Val was right, Helena would never, ever have cheated on Hector. I could not see her forgiving him but as it appears Hector might be at death's door...

The average time for harvesting organs after death is declared for a transplant is four to six hours. I am suspicious that time has elapsed several times over. However Valentina's shirt has remained unchanged for at least five episodes so...

Carlitos must be give a heart. But please, do not let it be Hector's...

Joel, although this TN has been unbearably grim at times, your careful and complete summaries have ended up making this completely engrossing. Every day, I can't wait to see what happens!

TU AMOR. Another excellent, detailed and perceptive recap JoeD. We are very lucky to have you. And Diana, I too wondered if David is the person Nora will frame for having an "affair" with Rosa Maria. I'm glad to see that Claudio strongly suspects Nora of burning down the mansion. He's a good lawyer, a good accountant, and a good investigator. (and yep, Diana, an exemplary galan). He cleverly realizes that Nora's question about saving the ranch was a strong clue. I'm surprised that Yolanda hasn't figured out that Beba is league with Ariel, but maybe you're right, Diana, and she is setting a trap for her. I wonder if in addition to his physical pain and former drug addiction David has something terminally wrong with him. Could he be the source of one of the needed heart transplants? That would be too bad, because he really is an excellent, almost saintly person. Whoa! Beba uses a diversion similar to Nora's ruining of Val's phone--an "accident." Though in this case it's just to give her time to delete all her messages. It doesn't appear to bother Yolanda that Nora burned down Guillermo's house. Yes, Leo is getting more and more out of control. Bating up his brother who supported his way through high school and the university, making a professional career possible at the expense of his own? Despicable.

He is a saint, arriving to heal his mother's heart, save Camila and perform other rather miraculous works.

I would hate if his mother was to lose him again but what an incredible impact he has had on the lives around him. It would be terrible because he is saintly and he has just found his mother.

It is (sadly) in the realm of possibility. After all, only the good die young.

I believe Prudencia was before Alicia. There was one line maybe 15 episodes ago where we heard that one day SerJerk threw Prudencia "out of the house." This must have been just before he and Alicia were married. Prudencia would have been pregnant and Lucas would have been born before Yuri was conceived.

If Eva tries to blame this on Alicia I hope she tries this in front of an audience. She will quickly be exposed.

Hard to say whether Prudencia was trying a pregnancy entrapment or whether she was merely stupid enough to not use contraception. Either answer works for me.

Lucas has to be involved in the money laundering, so his triumph will be short-lived.
