TELEMUNDO Y MÁS (#1): Hercai: Amor y Venganza, Café con aroma de mujer, y más: Week of September 20, 2021

Welcome to Page 1 (Monday edition) of the Telemundo y Más page, issued twice a week: Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 PM.

Here are the current evening telenovelas (all times are Eastern Daylight Time):

9-10PM - Hercai: Amor y venganza**
10-11PM - Café con aroma de mujer**

**There is some uncertainty about this week's programming. The one definite thing is that both evening telenovelas will be preempted this Thursday, Sept. 23, by the music awards show, Premios Billboard de la Música Latina 2021. According to Zap2It, the schedule will be normal on all other days. However, Telemundo's program guide shows Hercai on Monday, but it lists no program for the 9 PM time slot on Tuesday and Wednesday! Probably that's an error, but I thought I should mention it.

Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversation they're looking for.

By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes references to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #64
Part 1 of 5

Not missing a beat, Esma responds to Azize, you know I have known Hazar for years. I just wanted to know how he was doing. Did you learn anything? Asks HAG. No, says Esma, they wouldn’t release any information. I am not surprised, says HAG, the bad guys don’t die easily. He will pay for what he did. Esma responds, what about what we did? Will we pay the price? All the lives we let go to waste. I already paid the price, says HAG and I hope you never have to pay the price, threatens HAG, as she leaves Esma standing in the kitchen.

Back in her room, Azize rereads the note that says she will pay for ruining people’s lives and wonders if it is Esma who wrote the note based on her comment in the kitchen. Then she remembers the recent Sultana’s and Gonul’s comments. Maybe it is Hanife, she wonders. If it is Esma, Azize justifies herself saying that she wasn’t even 18 when “they” wasted her life and had it taken away. Clutching the note, she looks at the pictures on her storage chest. I gave birth to and lost three sons.

Gul is in Reyyan’s bed, looking very sad and refusing to eat the dinner Melike has prepared. Cihan comes in and tries to play favorite Uncle, but Gul isn’t interested and yells at him not to call her sister when he mentions it, because everyone in the family is mean to her. Melike talks to Zehra and lets her know about Gul. Zerah arrives from the hospital and come into the bedroom calling her name. Gul does not respond to her mother and pretends to be asleep. Zerah sees the dinner on the nightstand that Gul has not touched. She tries to get Gul to acknowledge her, but Gul refuses. When Zerah asks if she should call Reyyan to come and see her, Gul then tells her not to call her sister because everyone is mean and yells at Reyyan, even Zerah. Zerah says that even mothers make mistakes, but she will fix it and call Reyyan so they can be together. She finally gets Gul’s attention by sharing she is going to be a big sister. Gul touches Zerah’s belly and tells the baby that she promises to be a good sister and protect her, never letting anyone yell or hit her. Gul ends up sleeping in Zerah’s lap, as Zerah attempts to call Reyyan and gets the out of network service answer.

Back in the cave, ReyMir are lying in front of the fire. Reyyan asks Miran, how would things be different? What do you mean? He asks. What if our families weren’t mortal enemies? I would have found you and would still love you so much, he responds. We would be so peaceful, says Reyyan. You are my peace, says Miran, your smile, your scent, the way you look at me. Reyyan smiles and asks, even with all we have been through, you still feel that way? Yes, very much so, says Miran. We will have a big family, just as I always dreamed as a child. Big holiday celebrations, then we would entrust our kids to your mother and go on vacation by ourselves. Maybe even be sitting in front of a fire, like now, when I take you to the seaside, like I have always promised. Reyyan rolls on her back to look at him. Miran continues, I would always be lost in those eyes and maybe you would sing a song, I know you like to sing. Miran makes an attempt to sing, mercifully, Reyyan helps him, but then breaks down crying.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #64
Part 2 of 5

Miran says, don’t cry, regardless of what happens we will always have our dreams, dreams that will take us to a better life. You will see, everything will be alright. We will overcome all obstacles, just keep believing. (Reminds me of the Journey song: Don’t Stop Believing). Keep believing in us Reyyan. She nods and strokes his face as he kisses her check. They sleep.

Unfortunately, in that sleep, Reyyan has a nightmare. (Actually, the dream is just an extension of her reality). She awakens to see HAG standing by the fire, telling her that Miran will never give up on his revenge. He will be the one to drag and toss you into the town square. On the other side of the cave, Reyyan sees GT, he tells her she is responsible for her fathers’ death. My father is dead? She sees Hazar, are you okay father? If only you had come with me when I asked, you killed me, says Hazar. In the corner of the cave, Reyyan sees Zerah, huddled and crying. Zerah tells her everything is her fault. She chose the murderer over her father.

Reyyan looks to the ground where she left Miran sleeping, only his jacket is there. She looks over the fire and see HAG and GT on one side, Hazar and Zerah on the other. From the middle, Miran, in his angry bangs look, stomps forward and tells her that he will never give up his revenge, not for her or anyone! Reyyan screams and jolts herself out of the nightmare. Miran comforts her, saying it was only a dream. He is with her and won’t let anyone hurt her. They hug, as the morning light streams into the cave. Dusting themselves off, Miran says, lets go find a place where we have cell service and have Firat pick us up.

Reyyan says, in my dream my father…don’t say that, Miran counters. If something happened to your father, you would feel it right? (More like you would feel it Miran). He promises to take her to see her father, as they head out to higher ground in search of a cell signal.

At the Sadoglu konak, the servant ladies, plus Yusef are unpacking. There appears to be some sparks between Yusef and Nigar. (BTW whatever happened to Caner, Nigar’s son and Riza?). Yusef starts washing dishes, when Hanife says she won’t and of course Handan materializes demanding food before the actual breakfast is made, chastising the help for not washing dishes. Hanife says it takes all three of them to help keep Handan fed.

Zerah shows up and asks Melike to check in on Gul who is still sleeping. Melike wants to make her something to eat and somehow it slips that she is pregnant. Handan chokes on water hearing this news. Handan says stupid stuff that embarrasses poor Yusef out of the kitchen. Hanife gets the last word in at Handan saying she is one to talk about Zerah being pregnant at her age.

HAG gets a call from Mahmoud; he has news about Hazar that we cannot hear. Azize tells him to get the car ready so they can head out.

Firat is standing in the middle of the road with two cars, as Miran calls his name, emerging from the field with Reyyan. Firat asks if they are okay, not hurt? Reyyan asks about Hazar. No news, says Firat. Firat wants to share something about HAG, but Miran says, later.

Reyyan wants to immediately go see her father, Miran says, lets shower and change clothes first. She doesn’t want to enter the konak, so he compromises, saying they can go to the hotel and he will have clothes sent to them while they shower. She agrees.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #64
Part 3 of 5

Azat drives Zerah to the hospital entrance. She is concerned that she still cannot communicate with Reyyan. What if that woman did something to her? she tells Azat. (Like slap her and tell her she no longer claims her as daughter?). Azat assures her that while Miran is with Reyyan, she is not in danger. He goes to park the truck. Elif is waiting for him in the parking lot and calls him over.

He asks what she is doing there and is she okay? Elif looks really nervous as she asks about Hazar and says she thought she might be of support to Reyyan. Azat says, he is the same as when he left the Aslanbey konak that night after Miran tried to kill him and Reyyan is nowhere to be found. Elif tries to say that Miran is not a murderer, that she…Azat interrupts her, saying she doesn’t have to apologize for her family. I told you before, you are the nice, innocent one. No need to make excuses. My uncle will wake up and say that Miran was the one who pushed him. Elif again says that she doesn’t believe Miran pushed Hazar down the stairs. (Is it because she was the one who did?). Azat doesn’t want to argue with her and says, let me take you home, you don’t need to take a taxi. Just then, HAG flies in on her broom and confronts Elif, what are you doing with the Sadoglu bastard?

Elif is clearly startled and looks uncomfortably at Azat saying, grandmother, don’t say those things about Reyyan’s family. Azat jumps in saying, are you here to gloat over the carnage you have created? HAG ignores him and continues to hammer Elif with questions. Why are you here? What is wrong with you? Why do you care what happens to our enemy who entered our home in the middle of the night?

Azat asks Azize, what was Hazar doing at your home in the middle of the night? Is it possible that he was done waiting for you to threaten or kill his daughter after your latest plot failed and he just came to get her? He continues, once my uncle wakes up, we will know the truth (Elif looks worried) and then you need to watch your front and back! More threats are exchanged back and forth between the two. HAG grabs Elif by the arm a takes her to the car. Azat shakes his head in disgust and heads to the hospital entrance.

(This entire scene was cut by the Telemundo idiots)

ReyMir arrive at the hotel and Miran leaves Reyyan in a room (with a bathroom!) to shower and change. There are clean clothes for her on the bed. He tells her he will be in the next room. She doesn’t want to eat anything when he offers, she just wants to change and go see her father. Miran agrees. With a sweep of freshly blow-dried hair, Reyyan is clean and looking beautiful in a lovely Fall colored dress. Grabbing a camel-colored overcoat and matching purse, she heads out of the room. (Whoever selected her outfit, did a great job).

She knocks on the hotel room door where Miran is still showering. When he doesn’t answer, she walks in, calling his name. He responds, opening the bathroom door, a la William Levy style, with a towel around his waist, looking pretty handsome. Reyyan gives an appreciative elevator look at her husband, before getting embarrassed and turning around. Mortified, she tells him she will wait outside the room. Miran smiles mischievously and tells her he will be ready quickly.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #64
Part 4 of 5

(Back to the Telemundo version)

Arriving at the Aslanbey konak, Elif tells HAG to stop yelling at her as they get out of the car and head inside. HAG yells at her anyway, telling Elif that she makes herself a target by exposing herself at the hospital to the Sadoglu. All the cockroaches (thank you carmella) spill out of the nooks and crannies to listen to the verbal beat down from HAG. It’s awful and I don’t want to go into detail.

HAG ends up dragging Elif to the spot where Hazar fell and tries to force her to look. HAG is a bit unhinged, yelling like she is related to Zerah. Finally, Esma and Gonul step in. Elif defends herself by saying the Azat is not a killer and would not hurt her. This infuriates HAG even more.

Don’t defend those people, yells HAG. They killed your uncle and aunt. They left your cousin/brother Miran an orphan! Stop defending them! Elif has had enough and yells back, no one in that family is as unscrupulous as you are! They have never hurt you! All you do is hurt that family every chance you get! But I didn’t kill anyone, screeches HAG. They have ruined my life. She makes an attempt to smack Elif, but Gonul pulls her away, saying, she is upset and doesn’t know what she is saying. Stop grandmother! HAG continues her rant and dismisses all of them from the courtyard.

Elif runs to her room. Esma and Gonul tell HAG that they are worried about Elif. Esma says, what if she stops talking like she did after the accident? It took her years to recover. Sultana asks Esma if Elif has said anything about remembering the night of the accident. Esma says, no, but the way she is acting makes her worried that Elif may have a relapse. HAG yells that she always has Elif’s best interest in mind and they all better listen to her as well. She stomps away, heading to Elif’s room.

As Elif angrily shoves her things off the chest of drawers, HAG enters the room and continues the verbal berating, demanding to know what Elif was talking to Azat about. Outside the bedroom door, Sultana listens intently. Elif says she is worried that something might happened to Miran if the Sadoglu think he hurt Hazar. Elif continues, I was hoping to find Reyyan and Miran, to give her some support. I know the burden it is to be fatherless. This comment finally dials HAG back a bit. Even if it has been so many years, the pain of not having my father is still very fresh, says Elif. Seeing what happened to Hazar, made me remember something from the night of the accident.

We don’t get to hear what that might be because Sultana bursts in the door to stop Elif from potentially incriminating her. What do you want? Hisses HAG. With false indignation, Sultana says she is just there to check on Elif or doesn’t she have those rights in this house anymore. HAG looks puzzled as Sultana stomps out and Elif says nothing more.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #64
Part 5 of 5

Reyyan walks hesitantly through the hospital corridors until she gets to the ICU hallway. There she can see Zerah, GT and Azat all have their backs to her. Looking at the pathetic Zerah, Reyyan says, mother, I wish you would let me be here with you. I wish you would hug me and call me daughter again. I guess all we can do now is pray in our own way that my father gets well quickly. Reyyan is forced to hide behind the wall, to not have another family scene, as GT turns in her direction to sit down.

Miran is sitting outside the hospital on a bench when he sees her come outside. He runs to her side. Reyyan, is everything okay with your father? Reyyan says that it was hard to see her mother sitting there all alone, her face in pain. Did you go talk to her? asks Miran. No, says Reyyan, I didn’t have the courage and my grandfather was there. Did you talk to the doctor? Yes, she says, there is no change in his condition. She cries as Miran holds her gently. He tries to put a positive spin saying, at least things haven’t gotten worse for you father. We will stay positive. He starts to escort her to the bench to sit, when the EMT that took care of Hazar the night of the accident calls out to them.

The EMT is very kind and reminds them she was on duty the night Hazar was injured. She wants to know how Hazar is doing. Reyyan explains that there has been very little change but they are hopeful that he will recover soon. The EMT gives her blessings for a speedy recovery and says goodbye. As an afterthought, she turns back around and tells Reyyan that during the ambulance ride to the hospital, Hazar did regain consciousness for a few seconds and asked about the whereabouts of a letter. She wasn’t sure if that might mean something to Reyyan. A letter? says Reyyan, looking meaningfully at Miran, as the episode ends.

Good Morning All,

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but I cannot seem to get part 5 to stick on the Blogger. Every time I post it, it looks like it is there, but then I refresh the page and it is not there. I will try this message and see what happens. Hopefully some of you aren't seeing section 5 like 5 different times!

"CAFE":

VVS: Did I just see in the promo for tonight's upcoming episode that they're in the final week ?

herc

I still don't see Part 5 of episode #64 posted and don't want to leave anyone hanging. In the last few minutes, Reyyan is at the hospital, she sees Zerah sitting alone, but does not approach her. Of course this makes Reyyan sad. She heads outside where Miran is waiting for her. The EMT who took care of Hazar that night approaches them to ask how he is. She then tells Reyyan that Hazar did regain consciousness for a few seconds in the ambulance and asked about a letter. Reyyan and Miran look at each other. Reyyan says, A letter? The episode ends.

Café

Hi Steve. I am way behind in watching Café, so I do not know how many more episodes are left.

herc

Thanks very much, VVS, for this excellent recap. I'm as mystified as you are about why the 5th part didn't stick after you tried to post it. I'm glad you posted your message about the episode's important conclusion.

I'm not a consistent fan of Gul, but I loved it last night when she told Cihan and then Zehra not to ask Reyyan to come because everyone is so mean to her. It's certainly true of Cihan and Zehra (though Zehra seems to regret her very nasty outburst to Reyyan and lets Gul know this). One question about this scene. You say that Gul says she will protect "her" (the baby). I thought I heard Zehra say that Gul was going to have a baby brother. I was a little surprised that Zehra already knew the baby's sex, but IIRC Zehra said "hermano" more than once. Am I mistaken? I know that Spanish often uses the masculine form by default, but here it would be so easy to say "hermana" that I wonder whether I simply misheard.

I LOVED your aside when Miran says to Reyyan "'If something happened to your father, you would feel it right?' (More like you will feel it Miran)."

Hanife often comes up with some great snark. Last night, upon learning that Zehra, too, is pregnant, Hanife mutters something about the Sadoglu breeding like rabbits and "now the pregnancy competition begins!"

Speaking of Hanife, it's interesting that Azize includes Hanife in the possible suspects for having sent the threatening notes.

Question: when Miran and Reyyan come to greet Firat, who has just arrived in response to Miran's call, why/how are there TWO cars? I don't think Miran and Reyyan drove to where they spent the night, and I don't see anyone else there except Firan, Miran, and Reyyan. ???

You raise an interesting issue about the possibility of Elif having caused Hazar to fall down the stairs. You convincingly point out several places where she behaves in a way that suggests she may be guilty. It seems unlikely, unless she did so totally by accident, but then wouldn't she have screamed or tried to get help for him? I confess I'm really puzzled.

VVS, your comments were in the Spam folder!! I approved one to be published and deleted the others.

Please, please please! if you have problems with posts “disappearing “ or not appearing at all, send me an email to rgvchick627@gmail.com. I check that more often than I drop in on the patio.

Hi Juanita, whew. I am glad you also don't know what could have happened to the last section either. I have to admit it was brilliantly written! JK

You are correct that Gul does say "hermano" in the generic term. The Turkish version does the same. I was the one who misheard, just thought I heard Gul say "hermana."

Thank you for adding the snarky comment from Hanife, I am not sure why that scene annoyed me so much, I didn't properly cover the dialogue.

I should have been more descriptive in saying that Firat, with one of the minions, are waiting for ReyMir with the cars. I did see one of the guards there who ended up in Firat's car as ReyMir drove off in Miran's car.

I think Elif did encounter Hazar by accident and may have frighten him that caused him to tumble down the stairs. Now as you so well point out, why she didn't render aid or call for help, might put holes in my theory. I appreciate your comments/questions and insight Juanita!

herc

Rgv Chick! Thank you! I am sure you had to delete like 10 of them because I was almost frantic trying to get that big reveal in at the end! I have noted your email address and will bug you if it happens again! Thanks for reposting my "brilliantly written" (just kidding) Part 5.

herc

Another brilliant recap, VVS! And, believe me, your dedication in including scenes from the Turkish original are greatly appreciated.

I am so sorry you had that issue with Part 5. By the time I logged on it was there. I can well imagine how awful it would be to have the recap ready to go and not be able get the last part to appear.

I was also hearing hermano and wondering how Zehra knew the sex. But I did eventually think about the fact that hijo y hermano are always masculine if there is even one chance of a male. I remember my fantastic (female) Spanish teacher for many years lamenting this tendency in Spanish. She said something about: if there were a thousand women in a room and one man, the masculine would still be used. I miss Graciela every Wednesday. Her son now teaches the class. She was teaching into her 80's but the poor thing developed dementia. She was absolutely the finest language instructor I've ever had. And I have studied Latin, French, Italian, and Portuguese (had a Brazilian boyfriend as inspiration).

Am I missing something? Where are Hazar's clothes? Saw them on the park bench. Either saw or imagined I saw someone take them.

They are definitely coming across with broad hints that Elif may have caused Hazar to fall down the stairs

Loved: HAG flies in on her broom!

Well, I can see that the Turkish novelas do the same thing as the ones originally in Spanish. In one episode a woman discovers and/or announces that she's pregnant and barely two episodes go by and there's a pronounced "baby bump".

Zehra doesn't deserve what I'm sure will be the quick forgiveness by Reyyan.

And I am glad Reyyan is refusing to go to the konak. And...a good by-product of this is Miran spending less time in HAG's company.

She was completely unhinged last night. I was surprised she was so harsh with Elif, the one she apparently loves the most. Could it be that Elif's father was the only one of the three sons who wasn't a complete rat? Sultana had the wife beater. Mehmet (think that's the name) seemed to have at least helped with the cruelty to Dilsuh.

Herc

Great recap, VVS. And no kidding, all 5 parts were “brilliantly written!” Thanks for including the edit.

I noticed they spliced the Cihan/Gul scene into this Telemundo episode. It should have aired on Friday and I mentioned it in my weekend recap. No way of knowing they would do this.

No gender in Turkish. Sometimes you can figure it out by context. Zehra referred to the baby as “kardeşin” which could mean “your brother” or “your sister” or the generic “your sibling”. She did not specify “erkek kardeşin” for brother or “kız kardeşin” for sister. So of course, the Spanish translation would default to “hermano”.

HAG’s treatment of Elif was such a shock. Elif acted very guilty with Azat, but it also seems to me the writers are hinting Sultana could have pushed Hazar. Could be why Elif is having memories of what Sultana did at the scene of the accident. Who knows? I hope Azat gets Elif out of that house asap otherwise I don’t see a good ending for her.

That song that Miran butchered in the cave was “Tutuklu”, the song Telemundo should have played when ReyMir kissed on the bridge.

Telemundo could have left in the hotel scene. Once again, they denied me a small pleasure. Thank goodness for the Turkish eps.

dondi356

Hercai

VVS, thank you for another excellent recap of all the scheming and dreaming.

For some reason, Rey will lie next to Miran on the ground next to the old camp fire but not in the cozy bed.

Azize's anger is exhausting . I wonder if the actress carries that perpetual scowl home with her.

OT..dondi... episode 106 of KPA. Yikes , Elif's aunt with those steely blue eyes is a terror , and I hate her partnership with Husein . Poor Omer . Everyone is out to get him , and Elif is acting like a spoiled brat . Maybe he should go back to fiancee #1. The scenes of Omer and Yagiz are so sweet.

Thank you novelera, dondi356 and Susanlynn for your terrific comments and additions to the mysteries of this dizi.

novelera, we don’t know where Hazar’s clothes are after Reyyan left them on the bench outside of the hospital. We just know that someone took the letter the EMT referred to at the end of last nights episode. I am so impressed with your dedication to learning so many different languages. Maybe I need to find a Brazilian boyfriend to inspire me! 😊

dondi356, I wish they would have cut out the silly kitchen discussion with the help, Yusef, Handan and Zerah, plus the scene with Gul and keep it the hotel shower scene with Reyyan and Miran. It was a nice change of pace. I recommend watching that part of the Turkish episode. Thanks for clarifying what song Miran was attempting to sing.

Miran and Reyyan do so much better alone, without all the distractions.

Zerah looks more pregnant than Handan does. I thought days, not months had passed.

Susanlynn, it hadn't even occurred to me that Reyyan was willing to snuggle up on the ground with Miran and not in a comfy bed. Great point!

Thank goodness for Rgv Chick who rescued the part 5 out of the Blogger trash bin!

My students who had an American girlfriend or boyfriend referred to him or her as " a dictionary with hair."

Novelera, I studied Latin and French and wasn't very good at either. I was okay with reading and vocabulary , but I wasn't good at understanding and speaking French. In teaching ESL, I found that most students were either stronger in listening \speaking or reading\writing

languages

Susanlynn, love "Dictionary with Hair". And dating someone whose native tongue is different from your own makes one into such a person. The Brazilian I mentioned loved certain songs in English and he would ask me to explain every word of the lyrics! I have noticed that it's easier to understand a spoken learned language than a sung one. I recorded and watched el grito (begins at midnight September 16) the next day. It was very hard to understand the words to the Mexican National Anthem. I ended up looking them up on my phone and then re-playing the part where a choir was singing it. I try to watch el grito every year. But it's so different with the coronavirus. Normally the plaza in D.F. is packed with people, many of them with their faces painted with the colors of the flag.

And, I mentioned many languages, but Spanish is the only one I would consider myself moderately fluent in. The problem is that I have a decent ear and thus decent pronunciation. This caused me some problems in Paris. I could pronounce things well and the listener would speed up.

I was practically bullied into taking Latin in high school. My wonderful English teacher took me to task for wanting to study French. He insisted Latin is the basis of everything, including a lot of English. So I listened to him and took two years of Latin. I liked it a lot.

Novelera,

I had 2 years of Latin , and then, I had the same teacher for French ...and English Lit. She mostly taught has poems and songs in French which I still remember , and I still know most of the words to " Adeste Fidelis. "

I had a student who was asking me the meaning of phrases like " careless whispers" and " precious time. " I realized that he was listening to popular music .

Hercai: Amor y venganza - #65 - p 1 de 3

As the episode starts, Reyyan is asking about the letter that may have been in the bag with her father's clothes and other things. She is told that one of the hospital employees found the bag and returned it to Reyyan's mother. Reyyan then calls Azat. He meets her at the hospital. When Miran sees him, he backs away. Reyyan tells Azat she needs his help. She tells him about the bag of Hazar's things. It was given to her mother, but Reyyan needs to check it out. "My father mentioned a letter in the ambulance. Why would he mention a letter when he was half conscious? It must have been important. I have to find it." Azat asks why she doesn't just ask her mother. Reyyan tells him she will, but not now. She tells him, "There may be something in the letter that will make my mother change her mind" [I'm not sure about what]. She asks Azat to try to look through the bag of clothes without her mother knowing. He does so, and he reports that he found no letter.

Azat calls Elif. He asks whether she's OK and tells her he was upset when her abuela dragged her away. She asks whether there's any news of his uncle. Azat in turn asks whether she knows anything about what happened that night. Elif replies that no one there knows and no one saw anything. The call ends. Elif says to herself, "I want to tell him the truth, but I can't. God, please help me." Sultana overhears Elif's end of the conversation and its aftermath. She then slinks back to her room and asks aloud, "Did you push him or see who it was? If it was Miran, all hell will break loose. You have no choice. You'll go with Azat to save your dear cousin's life. And we'll all forget about your memories of the accident" (I assume she means the horrific accident Elif witnessed as a child.) Sultana then calls Yaren and tells her, "I accept your offer, but I need time to organize everything." Yaren says they need to plan before Hazar wakes up, or before he dies. Sultana assures her there's no problem. Elif will marry Azat. Yaren asks, "How do you know?" Sultana replies, "No one stops me when I put my mind to it. Don't ask any more questions."

Miran asks Reyyan whether her father had any close friends who may know about the letter. Reyyan remembers his good friend Ali. She knows where his tearoom is, and she and Miran go off to find him. As soon as they leave, HAG gets a call from Mahmoud informing her that ReyMir have left the hospital. "Do you have someone following them?" HAG asks. "Yes," Mahmoud assures her. She tells him she wants to know everywhere they go and everything they do. She then says to an absent Miran, "If you keep mucking about in the swamp, you'll inevitably sink, Miran Sadoglu. What are you hiding from your abuela?"

ReyMir find Ali. Ali expresses his sadness at what happened to Hazar. He keeps coldly eyeing Miran. Reyyan asks Miran to give her a few moments alone with Ali. Miran isn't pleased, but he does so. Reyyan then tells Ali she needs to find out why her father went to the Aslanbey konak so late. Ali asks her whether she's sure her father fell. She declares that Miran had nothing to do with what happened. She asks whether her father had ever mentioned a letter. Ali says he knows nothing about a letter. "Why did he go?" asks Reyyan. Ali tells her that her father was trying to get her out of that house. He was looking for those responsible for the shootout. "Remember the man we took to the mansion? He said that one of Azize Aslanbey's guards had paid him." Reyyan is surprised. "Azize Aslanbey had the car shot up?" "It's quite likely," replies Ali.

The scene shifts to the hospital. Hazar is lying unconscious in bed. Suddenly, his arm starts to shake violently, then his whole body starts shaking. Alarms go off. Medics rush in. Hazar is having a seizure. We see the doctor pounding on Hazar's chest. Zehra does what we all expect her to do. I suspect Telemundo did some merciful cutting, because quite quickly the doctor is assuring Zehra and the others that everything is under control. There was some problem with the blood used for the transfusion. The donor was someone named Mesut Guner (the name Miran used). No one knows him. He's not one of the family. Zehra asks whether she can see Hazar. She's told the nurse will let her know when she can see him, but for now, no.

Hazar is lying in bed. Suddenly he opens his eyes. He'd have been better off keeping them closed, because the first thing he sees is HAG. She is standing by his bed. She tells him, "You will die at the hand of your own son. He'll pull the trigger and send you to hell." Then she leaves. I'm honestly not sure whether HAG was really there or whether Hazar was hallucinating. On the one hand, we do see her leave and walk down the hospital corridor. And she's wearing the outfit we see her in the next time we see her back at the Aslanbey konak. On the other hand, when we see her walk down the corridor, it is totally empty, something highly unlikely in this busy hospital. Oh well... After Hazar sees HAG, he sees Zehra, who tells him to open his eyes. She is apparently not an hallucination.

ReyMir are driving away from the hospital. Reyyan is remembering what Ali told her, but she doesn't share this with Miran. She tells him that Ali knew nothing about any letter. ReyMir decide that perhaps the letter fell in the mansion. They decide not to call to ask, but to go there. They don't want to warn anyone. If someone has the letter, they have to get it back. Miran asks her whether she's willing to go to the mansion. "I'll do anything for my father," she replies. They drive up to the mansion. Miran stops the car. Reyyan looks at the guards and seems scared. She says she can't go in.

Miran enters the mansion while Reyyan stays in the car. Firat greets him, but Miran tells him he needs to see Esma alone. He tells Firat not to come. We then see him confront Esma. He asks whether she found anything. She remembers giving the letter to Hazar. She tells Miran no, nothing was found; Sehriyah cleaned the area and she (Esma) was with her. "So you found nothing, no paper or anything?" asks Miran. Esma looks very nervous when he asks her this.

Meanwhile, Reyyan gets out of the car. The guard opens the door to the konak for her. She hesitates, looking very scared, but she finally enters. She remembers urging her father to help Miran know the truth. She sits at the bottom of the staircase and sobs. Elif sees her and comes down the stairs to comfort her. Reyyan sobs, "Whenever I look here, I'll see him lying here unconscious. Suddenly we hear HAG's voice telling Reyyan, "Miran learned to live with his pain, and you will, too. But the pain you feel is not the pain he feels, nor the pain I suffer. Your father killed my son." Reyyan, of course, responds that her father is not a murderer. The scene shifts briefly back to Miran and Esma. Suddenly, Miran hears Reyyan screaming and rushes out. He sees Reyyan with her hands squeezing HAG's throat, as HAG insists, "Your father murdered and raped Miran's mother." Reyyan screams, "My father is not a murderer! You're the only murderer! It takes Firat and several other people to separate Reyyan from HAG. HAG continues to repeat her accusations, and Reyyan continues to deny them and call her a liar and a murderer.

Hercai: Amor y venganza - #65 - p 3 de 3

Reyyan turns to Miran and asks, "How can you continue to believe her, Miran? She has tried to separate us, she threatened my cousin Azat, and she also wanted to kill me, you saw the truth for yourself. Miran tries to calm her down and says "let's get out of here." They leave the konak and get into the car. "We can go wherever you want," he tells her. "I want to see my father." Azat calls with the news that her father woke up.

Azat also calls his father with the good news. Cihan shouts for everyone to come, and he passes on the news of Hazar's awakening.

At the hospital, the doctor is at Hazar's bedside, asking "Señor Hazar, can you hear me? At first, there's no response. Try to open your eyes. Hazar does so. Then he faintly utters "The letter. Reyyan. Where am I" The doctor tells him he's in the hospital, he's had an accident. "I want to see my wife." The doctor says that his wife may come in, but only for 5 minutes. The doctor then tells Hazar that everything seems normal and stable.

HAG is pacing up and down. "You live and die how I say," she mutters. Firat comes and tells her that Hazar has woken up. She replies, "Send men to the hospital to protect Miran." Then, after Firat as left, she says, "Of course you recovered. God doesn't take sinners so quickly. They get their punishment, and you have many more sins to pay for." Elif hears this and runs from the courtyard to her room. She calls Azat. Azat tells her that Hazar has woken up. Elif asks, "Is he speaking? Has he said anything about what happened?" Azat replies, "No, not yet. Pray that he remembers everything."

Zehra comes to see Hazar. Hazar remembers Esma giving him Dilsah's letter, saying "Show it to Miran so you can save your daughter." He asks Zehra where his clothes are. He asks her to bring him his clothes. She thinks this is a foolish request. She asks him why he wants them. Then she says, "Tell me what happened. Who pushed you?"

Hazar is being moved to another room. He asks to see Reyyan and Miran. Miran tells Reyyan it's better if he doesn't come. Reyyan disagrees. "You're not a murderer. You can't hide like a criminal." Azat calls and tells her Hazar wants to see both of them.

The doctor sees Miran and Reyyan and stops to express his good wishes. He tells Miran, "I didn't give you much hope when I said that he had only 48 hours to live, and only a miracle could save him. You told me you believed in miracles." Reyyan is stunned to learn that the doctor had told Miran Hazar was likely to die. She asks Miran why he didn't tell her. He replies that he didn't want to upset her, and besides, there's always hope.

Reyyan and Miran enter Hazar's new room. Zehra is there. She glares at Miran. Reyyan hugs her father and tells her how afraid she was. She's thrilled that he can talk. "You went to the mansion because of us, didn't you? What happened at the mansion that night, do you remember?" Hazar indicates that he does. He and Miran look at each other somewhat coldly as the episode ends.

Thank you, Juanita.

"He sees Reyyan with her hands squeezing HAG's throat" - that is the kind of thing that will show other inhabitants of the mansion not to mess with Reyyan. For sure, nobody there will dare to slap her.

"God doesn't take sinners so quickly" - what is HAG talking about? She knows Hazar didn't kill Miran's parents. I can't think of anything else.

It was interesting to see the reaction of Elif and Miran when they heard about Hazar waking up. Elif almost panicked, called Azat, she was scared. Miran seemed relieved and supportive of Reyyan. If Elif was responsible, why didn't she say so? It would have been hard to blame her. An armed man was walking stealthily inside her house at night. He may or may not have killed Miran's parents. Clearly self defence. The one committing a crime was Hazar.

Juanita, thank you for a great recap .

Despierta, Hazar . We need some answers. Elif is surely acting strangely . What did she see? What does she know or suspect ? Elif seems to be a very popular name in Turkey . It pops in lots of Turkish telenovelas.

Wow...Rey is getting fierce.

A Turkish dizi about a sultan Would be interesting. . I have been researching , and this subject would make a fascinating show.....harems, eunuchs, wealth, power struggles.

Thanks very much, Lucio and Susanlynn, for your great comments. I hope you're right, Lucio, about no one daring to mess with Reyyan after seeing her go after HAG. It actually took several people to tear her away. (I might note that I originally cheered her on in an aside, but with the aside, what I wrote got rejected for being too long. I wonder whether HAG even has agents here on CarayCaray! :-)

Yes, most of the time HAG knows that Hazar didn't kill her son and daughter-in-law, but I think her thirst for vengeance (for what, we don't really know) sometimes gets the better of her. Then again, perhaps she simply doesn't want to face up to all the misery she has created. As for your defense of Elif, you'd make a good lawyer (perhaps you are one?)

Susanlynn, it's increasingly the case that Elif is acting strangely. My guess is that either she pushed Hazar (accidentally or intentionally), or she saw who did. Could she have seen Miran, the cousin she loves best? He claims to have been in the kitchen. I have a very hard time believing that Miran would deliberately have pushed Hazar. Could he have pushed him without knowing who he was? Lots of questions, all kinds of conflicting answers. Perhaps tonight's episode will clarify matters (or confuse them further).

Herc

Thanks, Juanita. Your recap was so helpful. My broadcast kept going in and out.

HAG’s appearance at Hazar’s bedside was weird and confusing. It seemed to me he was imagining it. Watching the Turkish, HAG told him “your death will be from my son’s hand”. The rest of what she said was a close translation. Then it immediately switched to Zehra begging him to open his eyes again and then to HAG walking down that empty hallway.

The highlight was Reyyan choking the HAG. Miran told granny to shut up a few times. Then he hustled Rey out of there. He didn’t even look back when HAG shouted his name. That’s progress.

Thanks so much, Juanita. Fine recap, as always.

This letter/hospital/letter/hospital thing is going on too long for my taste.

And they've turned cute, feisty Elif into a neurotic mess. At least Sultana is off the list of possible Hazar pushers. She was asking if Elif might have done it.

While watching HAG's internal monologue about sinners not dying so quickly, I suppose I was thinking she mentally calls him a sinner because of his relationship with Dilsuh. She's not crazy enough to believe the lies she tells Miran about Hazar killing his parents.

Why doesn't Reyyan hurry up and tell Miran about Azize likely arranging for Miran's car to be shot up? It would be perfect since Hazar already showed him where the bullet holes were and where they were NOT.

telenovelas/dizis

Susanlynn, there IS a dizi about a sultan, Suleiman to be specific. It was on Telemundo dubbed into Spanish. Harem, yep!

It's on YouTube, but I don't remember if it's called the same thing as it was on Telemundo: El Sultán. It's quite good.

OT Susanlynn

The Turks love the Ottoman stuff. I can recommend Muhteşem Yüzyıl/Magnificent Century. It’s an epic and was a worldwide hit. It’s very long, 139 Turkish episodes, and it has very disturbing elements, but if you really want to see “harems, eunuchs, wealth, power struggles” this is the one. Telemundo aired part of it a while ago and then they abruptly pulled it off the schedule. That was a shame.

YouTube has the episodes with English Subtitles:

Juanita....thx so much for the recap.

So we still don't now who pushed Hazar. Assuming it was related to the letter... I thought it had to be someone who knew about or witness the letter exchange. With this is mind I leaned toward Emsa sending Firat to stop it from falling into the wrong hands. Now that Hazar is awake...hopefully he can solve the mystery of who pushed him but we still don't know who has the letter. Better yet, Hazar can at least reveal what was in the letter but we know Miran will be too stubborn to listen or believe Hazar at this point.

Regarding the ottoman discussion...Telemundo did air La Sultana staring Beren Saat (of Fatmagul)...as well as El Sultan. I watched la sultana but didn't try to watch el sultan knowing it was too many epis for me. The series was well received in Turkey...but not sure about elsewhere.

Amor Prohibido starts in Oct on KanalD...staring Beren Saat and Kivanc Tatligut early in their careers. It was a hit in turkey so I'm looking forward to watching this one. I tried to watch the univision remake but the acting was too weak for me to stick around.

Thanks very much, dondi356 and novelera, for your comments about the recap and the epidosde. Thanks too to deb and Lucio for calling attention to a possible schedule change for Hercai.

dondi356, I think you're right that Hazar was imagining HAG at his hospital bed. Last night, as I was writing the recap, I was leaning toward it being an hallucination, primarily because the hospital corridor, usually so busy, was shown to be absolutely empty, which was both eerie and highly unlikely. But HAG's wearing the same outfit we later see her in made me think that perhaps she really had been there. And yes, Miran's not even looking back when HAG called his name is definitely a sign of progress.

novelera, I too am distressed at what they're doing to Elif's character. As for what HAG does or doesn't believe about what happened to Miran's parents, we've seen that at times she seems quite clear-eyed about Hazar's not being guilty of murder. But her thirst for venganza seems too obsessive and powerful to be caused by the relationship between Hazar and Dilsah. How did Mehmet and Dilsah die? Was Dilsah essentially imprisoned and tortured before she died? Was HAG responsible for the deaths and extreme cruelty? What other horrors might HAG have caused? It's possible that to keep from being continually aware of all this, she sometimes believes that the Sadoglu, especially Hazar, are the sinners. I dunno. I'm grasping at straws trying to make sense of all sorts of contradictions.

Perhaps the mysteries will be explained sooner than I thought. As Lucio has pointed out, deb's posting about a new novela starting at the 9 pm time slot in late October suggests that Hercai may end much sooner than expected.

Thank you for the recap, Juanita! I guess it was my turn to have work related issues this week, as I haven’t even had a chance to watch the episode! I look forward to reading the recap and the great comments sometime in the near future!

I thought the Billboard Awards was on tonight, but it is tomorrow night. I hate to do this last minute, but there is no way I will be able to do a recap tonight, especially now that I am behind in watching.

herc

VVS, don't worry. I have my evening Zoom Spanish tonight which is from 8PM to 10PM. We ended up with such a late time because Leonardo also teaches beginning and intermediate at the high school adult school, which is where the classes have been since forever.

If I didn't have that big block of time unavailable, I would do a full recap since there won't be an episode tomorrow, Thursday.

But I'll put up a quickie so Viewerville will have a starting point for comments.

herc

Thank you novelera! I know we all appreciate that! A quickie works. I haven't even had lunch today!

OT..novelera and dondi, thank you for the suggestions . I love Beren. I will check them out when I am finished with KPA..which I don't want to end . However, I would really like to see Engin as a sultan. Wow, so far , I have seen him as a cop, a blacksmith, and a businessmsn. He would be spectacular as a sultan.

OT Turkish Dizi

Nett, Telemundo only showed the first season of Kösem and they did a chop job on it, too, so I found the rest of it online. Beren Saat is only in the first season. There are 60 Turkish episodes in total and I thought it was very good, but I liked “Suleiman” more.

If anyone is interested, YouTube for MC Kösem with English subs:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPqnUJMxYL-y5fkWVFslc6HmWwM38YtAi

I thought that Amor Prohibido (Aşk-ı Memnu) was coming to Univision or UniMas. I watched the Telemundo remake, Amor Prohibido, because of Jencarlos Canela. Posts on Telenovela World said the original was much better so I found it online and skipped around it because I already knew the ending. The Turkish original is one of the most popular dizis worldwide.

I must have gotten my networks confused regarding Amor Prohibido...but at anyrate, I'm looking forward to it.

Regarding the Kosem series...I was only interested in the season with Beren Saat so I didn't really follow what happened with the latter seasons after loosing interest early in the 2nd one. At the time...I didn't know about access to the full versions on youtube so I viewed what was offered. I could tell some story lines were rushed or scenes had to have been skipped based on the dialogue but enjoyed the 1st season never the less.

Epi 66,Part I of 2

Picking up in the hospital room, an anxious Miran looks on as a hopeful Reyan questions Hazar about that fateful night of his accident, asking if he fell. Hazar hesitates to answer as he and Zehra share a quick look. When he states that he didn’t fall, Reyan looks back at Miran with concern. Miran looks uncomfortable. Hazar appears to dart his eyes back and forth between Miran and Reyan and he finally states that it was Miran who pushed him. All eyes are on Miran as it takes a moment for this to register with him. Finally, Miran shakes his head no as Reyan calls his name in disbelief. Miran pleads his innocence as Hazar turns away (with an obvious guilty look). Reyan confronts Miran for fooling her yet again but he swears he didn’t do it. She pushes him away as he shouts at Hazar to tell the truth. He is distraught, begging her to believe him but Reyan pushes him out of the room.

The Sodoglu clan arrives just in time to see Reyan usher Miran out into the hallway. Of course Azat runs over to expedite the expulsion of Miran and during the scuffle, Reyan replays various things in mind including her father’s recovery, Gul, Miran’s assistance at the hospital, and finally his protest that he didn’t’ do it stating Hazar is lying to separate them. Security and Firat break up the scuffle in the hallway.

Outside the hospital, an irate Miran is pissed that Hazar looked him in the eyes and lied. He swears on his heart to Reyan that he didn’t do it. She tells him to take a good look inside his heart at all the hate and fury and thirst for vengeance. She blames herself for believing him above her family. Miran pleads his case but all Reyan can see is pain and tells him it’s over. Firat again ushers him away and Azat goes to comfort Reyan.

Back in the hospital room the Sodoglu family wants to know why Hazar was at Azzie’s mansion that night so he lies that he went there to get Reyan. Zehra calls off the questioning but Nasuf vows Miran will pay for what his did so Hazar asks him to let it go. Melik arrives with Gul so the conversation is interrupted. (I apologize but Gul’s whinny voice was annoying so I didn’t pay attention to this conversation beyond Hazar looking guilty when Gul says something about him never lying). When Gul leaves Hazar again asks Nasuf to swear he won’t go after Miran but Nasuf and Cihan want pay back. Handan pipes in telling them to back off all the blood for blood rhetoric. They leave but I’m not convinced that Nasuf won’t go after Miran despite Hazar’s request not to do anything.

Outside, Azat leaves Reyan alone at the moment the family exits the hospital. A hateful Yaren spews her venom and gets Nasuf to confront and berate Reyan. He yells at her telling her to never show her face at their home again sine she chose a Miran over family. A helpless and guilt ridden Reyan just takes it. However, Azat returns just in time to confront Nasuf asking why he attacks Reyan every chance he gets. Of course Nasuf blames Reyan for Hazar’s accident but Azat reminds him it was not Reyan but Miran who caused the accident. Azat tells him the doors to their home will not be closed to Reyan without losing him or Gul. On cue, Gul runs over to greet Reyan. When the family pulls her away to take her home, Azat stays behind with Reyan to the disappointment of his parents.

Epi 66 Part 2 of 2

Back in the hospital room, Hazar is repentant for the lie he just told but Zehra cuts him off saying it was necessary. They flash back to when he first woke up and had Zehra to look for his clothes and the letter. In the flashback Hazar tells Zehra that the letter Dislah wrote could save them and expose Azzie’s. He says that Dislah was suffering and wanted to leave that mansion. We then learn that it was Elif who pushed him more out of fear as he can tell she wouldn’t hurt anyone. It could have been because she saw his gun or because of her grandmother’s lies but she was scared.

Zehra rattles off various Aslanbeys saying it’s just a matter of time before one of them is successful with their vendetta. She’s tired of living in fear and urges him to say that it was Miran who pushed him so they can separate Miran and Reyan. Hazar doesn’t want to and doesn’t think they can separate the love birds. He can’t believe that Zehra wants him to conspire against Reyan and Miran the same way Azzie did against him and Dislah causing all their pain and suffering for years. He doesn’t want to commit such a sin against Dislah’s son. Zehra reminds him that one day, Miran is going to fulfill his promise to his grandmother to kill Hazar and he lie for his kids because if he doesn’t, she will leave him and take the kids with her.

Back in the present, Zehra continues to plead her case. She does feel sorry for Miran after all he’s an orphan, but she thinks blaming him is the only way to protect their family knowing Azzie will never give up her vendetta. Another flashback reveals that Azzie did indeed visit Hazar in the hospital room when he was semi conscious but Zehra walked in and the women verbally sparred before Azzie left. Hazar remembers Azzie’s visit and realizes what he thought was a nightmare did indeed happen. He wants Reyan even though he doesn't know how to look her in the face but he has to tell her something urgently. Zehra goes for Reyan and they share a tearful embrace. Reyan cries that she can’t believe she trusted Miran. He can’t really love her if he would harm the most important person in her life. A guilty Zehra doesn’t say much as Reyan continues to kick herself for putting Miran before her own family, apologizing for all the pain she’s caused. Zehra pivots saying parents will do anything for their children and love them unconditionally and always forgive their kids and kids should in turn forgive their parents. (Zehra may have forgotten the verbal beatdown she gave Reyan but viewville didn't). When Reyan walks away Zehra sits on a bench …sniffling that she hopes Reyan can forgive her, telling herself she did it for Reyan.

Back inside the hospital room Hazar and Reyan talk. He consoles her as she confesses her fear that she thought she had lost him and she blames herself. He tries to calm her but when settles herself she asks if he came to the mansion that night for the letter. He’s surprised that she knows about the letter and is hopeful that she read it. He’s disappointed when she explains she learned about the letter in the ambulance. She looked for it but didn’t find. He tells her the significance of the letter and that it was from Dislah. She wonders who gave him the letter and if that person could do something. He can’t give up his source saying that the person did all they could. He doesn’t want Azzie to direct her fury on that person. He’s resigned that he’s lost the only evidence they had and asks her forgiveness. She apologizes for believing all of Miran’s lies. A choked up Hazar looks guilty.

Back at the Aslanbey mansion, with Gonul looking on, Sultana takes digs at Azzie who isn’t moved. The verbal sparring is interrupted when a raging Miran burst into the mansion court yard.

Wow, Nett, you picked a really important episode, and you've done a terrific job! The recap was clear, concise, and complete. Thanks VERY much!

I was hoping that perhaps Reyyan would recognize the guilty look on Hazar's face when he claims Miran pushed him, but no such luck. I wonder how long it will be until Reyyan again believes Miran, and what will cause that to happen.

And it doesn't take long before Yaren is back to spewing her venom about Reyyan to her grandfather, and he immediately launches into his nastiness, blaming Reyyan for everything and telling her she cannot come back to the Sadoglu konak. Zehra may be glad that Reyyan is no longer with Miran and thus no longer living among the Aslanbey, but of course the person who has come closest to actually killing Reyyan is dear old Grandpa Tyrant (and it was Miran who prevented GT's hired assassin from succeeding).

I was delighted by your apology about the scene with Gul in Hazar's room. I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one who at times finds Gul's whining and crying hard to take.

Speaking of Gul, I was surprised when Gul lay almost on top of Hazar. Didn't the doctor say he had suffered a spinal fracture?

So Azize actually did come to see (and torment) Hazar in the hospital. Before tonight's episode, I had finally decided that he had hallucinated seeing her. Oh well.

I was sorry (but not all that surprised) to learn that Elif was responsible for Hazar's falling down the stairs. It will be interesting to see how her actions are explained. No matter whether she intended him to fall or not, the incident is certainly not going to help her already fragile mental state. It's a shame. She started out being a gutsy, spirited young woman, one of the few people who stood up to Azize. But she has increasingly become a "neurotic mess" (thanks, novelera).

Again, many thanks, Nett, for this splendid recap. I hope you'll consider doing more of them.

Herc

Good recap, thank you, Nett.

What a dumb move by Hazar! Let's see what this lie accomplishes:
If there were doubts in Miran that Hazar was guilty, there are none now. At least guilty in this lie. What else he lies about? Miran will seek to make him pay.
Escalation of the conflict between the families. Nasuh and Cihan are thinking about revenge. Azize gets Miran back to use him as she will.
Reyyan is back in the prison she dreamed all her life to escape, to be despised and abused, separated from her love.
Zehra has her daughter close to keep her company.

Azize used a lie to manipulate Miran to do what she wanted, Hazar used a lie to manipulate Reyyan to do what he wanted. Tal para cual.

What a coward! Like in preschool: "Teacher, Miran pushed me!" Stabbing Rayyan in the back. She would never expect a lie like this from the people she trusts most - her parents.

herc

Nett thank you so much for jumping in to cover the currently vacant recapping Wednesday spot and providing this excellent recap. You have a flair for description!

I cannot believe that Hazar fell for Zerah’s plan to lie so horribly to Reyyan. My first thought was now Miran will never believe Hazar about anything and when Elif confesses, because I don’t think she will allow Miran to take the fall for this, Reyyan is going to be very disillusioned for sure. The fact that Zerah and Hazar have yet to tell her that he isn’t her bio dad, is going to be a harder blow for her with this whopper of a lie.

Poor Elif, no wonder she has been such a mess. I do think she will help fix this so ReyMir can be together again. Like several of you, I am disappointed in the way she is now being portrayed, but of course, she was completely protected from all of HAG’s evilness until now.

For the first time, I think Miran’s reaction was appropriate and not over the top. He saw right through the plan the separate him and Reyyan. At the same time though, I was glad Reyyan got another chance to tell him that their love and his venganza do not make for a happy ending.

Poor Reyyan is so desperate for support she hugs Zerah and lying Zerah doesn’t even apologize for the slap and beat down. I agree Nett, we didn’t forget!

This was quite the episode and you sure did it justice Nett. I would love to read more Nett crafted recaps in the near future, maybe next Wednesday? Thanks again!

Nett, thank you so much for your recap of all the lying and trying .

Two things have to come to light....Miran did not push Hazar, and he donated his blood to save him. .....well, and that Hazar is Miran's dad and not Rey's...but those 2 facts won't be revealed for a long time. Uff.

Thx ALL for taking the time to read/comment on the recap. Glad it was of help. And I don't mind taking another stab next Wed...my calendar should be clear.

Hazar is a kind man but a weak one. He let his wife manipulate him into pulling the same BS on his daughter that was pulled on him. He should have said hell no...I'm not lying to Reyan and you're not taking my kids from me. All the empty threats of leaving hasn't worked so far so why should this one. And Zehra setting Reyan up to forgive her in the future stomach turning for me. You just recently turned her out of the family and piled on like everyone else and now you tell her one of the 2nd biggest lies...and you plan for forgiveness down the road. I hope Reyan makes her grovel for it.

I agree, once it's revealed that Hazar lied....it will only help Azzie's goal and Miran's fury. And of course Reyan will be the most disappointed in him. Hope she doesn't learn of this lie and her parentage all at the same time. She's going to be one messed up chick.

Regarding Gul...I understand her purpose in the show but there's something about the combo of her voice/age/whining/bottle toting self that hasn't won me over. She's a cute child actor but sometimes her level of conversation doesn't appear to match her age and whining always sends me running the other way. Maybe it was all those years of baby sitting in my youth.

Nett, let me join the chorus of praise for your terrific recap. You really captured the scenes so very well!

And, yes, yes, yes...Viewerville did not forget Zehra's slap (right in front of little Gul) and the horrible things she said to Reyyan.

The patio is pretty much over Zehra and last night's shenanigans were the cherry on top of the sundae. That whole scene where she tells a man who nearly died, with his wounds still showing, that she'll leave him and take the kids if he doesn't do her bidding made me furious. Several people here have called Hazar weak, and this is the first time I agreed with them. He's gentle and kind as opposed to his tyrant father. I thought that was a kind of strength. But giving in to Zehra, knowing he'd falsely accused someone and how much pain Reyyan would go through... SO weak.

And I was also mentally trying to decide how this will affect Azize's plans. On the surface it looks like a win-win for her. We can expect more scenes of her dripping venom into Miran's ears. OTOH he might be trying to find out some of those things Reyyan was trying to tell him in order to win her back. I think she told him about the shot up car being thanks to Azize, but I'm not sure.

I can forgive Gul anything and everything. She's clearly been the spoiled princess of the whole family. But she has a good heart. I especially like her scenes with Miran. They almost seem like the actor playing Miran is really quite fond of the child.

This was a great recap, Nett. Thanks so much. Also enjoyed reading everyone’s insightful comments and I’m in agreement.

Does anyone in Midyat tell the truth?

Those flashbacks cleared up some confusing happenings from the previous episode. And wow, we saw a whole new side to the perpetually overwrought Zehra. She’s really crossed the line now.

Miran now knows what it feels like to be falsely accused. Good!

I’m very worried for Elif. IMHO, this is a tragedy in the works.

Gul’s crying and whining is slightly less annoying in the Turkish. Why they have her with a baby bottle, anlamıyorum.

Any clue as to how Telemundo will end Hercai? They are announcing a new telenovela in Hercai’s time slot for late October.
Hercai has many, many more episodes left that will not air. Can anyone provide some info?

Unknown, we don't know yet what Telemundo will do. They may just be taking a break and bring back the rest of hte episodes later or they may change Hercai to a different timeslot. We'll just have to wait and see.
