DEJAN, Ep. 77, Part 1: Anvils Around the Corner…for the Thief and the Killer!

After Sergio asks Alicia if she would be his wife again, he tells her that he isn’t asking her to agree, just that she think about it. Alicia deflects and tells him that the girls are outside waiting to see him. She then tells him that Gonzo is out free which makes Sergio laugh with happiness at the good news. As he tell her that she raised a good man, Julieta enters demanding to be allowed in. Alicia tells Sergio that Juls is right, it is she whom should be there…she is sure that Juls will make him very happy. Now he needs to recuperate; the kids are outside waiting to see him. As Alicia releases Sergio’s hand, Julieta gives a piercing look. After Alicia leaves, Juls puts on her fake worry face and tells him that he gave her a good scare. Sergio grimaces.

At the sleep over, Luna is excited to be there. Before she runs in, El Toro reminds her to remember what they talked about. When Martin tells El Toro that he didn’t get his name, El Toro replies, “Roberto” and quickly leaves.

At the hospital, Juls tells Serg that he needs to take care of himself. She has a surprise for him; she already has an idea for the program…everyone out there is worried about him. Sergio is perturbed that he is there on his deathbed and all she thinks about is the program and the web. Juls explains that she is worried about him and she doesn’t want them thinking that he is old and sick. Sergio’s blood pressure rises as he tells her he doesn’t care about the program…he wants his family. After Juls reminds him that she and her baby are his family, she tells him that he needs to talk his other family because they are treating her badly…like an intruder. Sergio tells her that he is not in the mood for her reproaches; so she tells him that he is right…she just wants him to get better so they can be together for many more years.

Lucas arrives home and tells Prudencia that he went to the hospital but the rest of the family treated him badly. He doesn’t know much about how his father is; just that he had a heart attack. Prudencia assumes that something must have upset Sergio, so Lucas has to stop his idea of suing Sergio. Lucas argues that what affected Sergio was his other pampered kid who was in jail; Sergio cares nothing about him! Prudencia insists that he stop his lawsuit, but Lucas refuses…he is just starting and he will get everything he deserves.

Aliciq goes out and tells the others that Sergio is doing well…he will be better than before since they unblocked the artery. When she tells them that they can go see their father after Juls comes out, Eva hisses that the spider is going to kill her son-in-law…it is time that Alicia leave her resentment aside. When Alicia reminds them that Juls is his woman, everyone supports Eva since Juls doesn’t know how to take care of Sergio. When Fabian points out that it’s a unanimous decision, Alicia (quite rightly) argues that it is an incongruent decision…she is the ex-wife and she no longer has that responsibility! (Viewerville nods incessantly)

At Martin’s, Luna suggests that they go take Nelson for a walk. Before leaving, Luna unpacks her things including the laptop Quique gave her…which Sofi recognizes as hers!! While Luna goes to the restroom, Sofi checks out the laptop and the pink cap.

At the hospital, Alicia bumps into Mabel at the elevator. When Mabel asks Alicia how her husband is, Alicia reminds her that Sergio is no longer her husband. Mabel smirks and agrees…when she goes on and on about Martin who is intelligent and oh so charming, Alicia forces a smile and reminds Mabel that she is there to see Sergio and shows her the way.

 

DEJAN, Ep. 77, Part 2: Anvils Around the Corner…for the Thief and the Killer!

Miranda tells Sergio that she was scared. He assures her that he is well now...and points out that it is expected that parents will die before the kids. Miranda tells him that she has always thought he was indestructible. Sergio shares that when he was in the ambulance, he asked himself if he did everything he could for his children (Viewerville shouts out a big NO!!). He knows he has made mistakes, but all he wants is for them to be happy. He will do whatever is needed to make sure Miranda is happy…even accept that kid. Miranda laughs and thinks he is only saying that because he is lying there in that bed…but that kid is really cool.

Out in the lobby, Yuri can’t believe Moises wants to talk about the wedding. Moises wonders why not and wants the weeding to take place next week. Yuri complains so Moises assures her that it will be small and quick…what better news would make Sergio feel better? While Moises answers his phone, Alicia asks Yuri what happened, why did she agree to marry Moises if she is in love with Cholo?

At Martin’s house, Sofi asks Luna where she got the things. When Luna wonders why she asking, Sofi tells Luna that the laptop and the cap are hers…someone entered their house and stole them. Luna explains that Quique gave them to her and told her he had won them in a bet. Luna tries to give them back, but Sofi tells her to keep them since she already has a new laptop…but Luna should still ask her brother about it.

At the news station, Fabian tells Diablo to prepare for the program since Juls insists that she can handle it. Just then, Fedora calls Fabian and asks about the cameras. Since he probably hasn’t had time to review the recordings, she can do it.

Gonzo goes in to see Sergio who tells him he has had better days. Gonzo is sorry that he is there because of him, but Sergio assures him that it wasn’t his fault; there were so many things that accumulated and Gonzo was just the last straw. Sergio has been thinking about all of them…about his mother and how happy they were. The heart attack started the day he decided to be with two women. Sergio then cries as he asks Gonzo to forgive him… he would much rather see him as a baker than in jail. Gonzo thinks that heart attack brought on many revelations.

Out in the lobby, Juls complains to Mabel about how the family is treating her…like she is invisible and she has to fight to see her husband. Mable reminds her that she went and looked for a 60 year old and now she has to live with that… now Juls will have to take care of Sergio and make him happy. When Mabel tells her that Martin and Alicia broke up, Juls thinks it’s bad news…now Alicia might try to recuperate everything she lost…but Juls will not allow Alicia to take everything she worked so hard to get.

Alicia advises Yuri that she shouldn’t marry the wrong person. Yuri argues that the right one is impossible…and she has known Moises for many years; she had doubts but no more. Alicia tries to get Yuri to tell her the truth, but Gonzo comes out so Yuri goes in to see her father.

Yuri tell Sergio that she was very worried. Sergio tells her that he won’t die until he has a grandchild. When he asks if they have set a date, Yuri tells him that they haven’t; so Sergio asks her to promise to set a date…Moises will take care of her and protect her just like he does.

At Rebeca’s house, Fedora is reviewing the video footage…and she finds the clip showing Eva stealing the money!! Fedora is glad that her suspicions have been confirmed…and wonders why Eva wants so much money.

 

DEJAN, Ep. 77, Part 3: Anvils Around the Corner…for the Thief and the Killer!

Gonzo and Yuri go to the cafeteria. Gonzo teases her about hiding Cholo. He then tells her that Cholo loves her but is very upset about her engagement to Moises. When he tells her to cancel her wedding, Yuri tells him that it’s not that easy; Moises will get Cholo out of jail. Gonzo reminds her that she is very capable of taking on Cholo’s case. As he adds that she needs to take him out of jail, Yuri gets nauseated and runs off…(Uh oh! Me thinks the stork is preparing to make a trip!)

Karina asks Cholo if Susu told him anything….she suspects that Susu is involved with the same gang that Simon got into…they had the same type of drugs. When she tells him that El Trompeta is back, he tells her that no one in the neighborhood will want to talk...they don’t want problems.

At the hospital, the family is with Sergio as the doctor assures him that Sergio will be well; he just needs to be calm and quiet. They then discuss who will stay with Sergio that night. Though Alicia thinks that Juls should be the one to stay, she is outnumbered and pressured into staying.

At the news station, Fabian tells Juls not to change anything in the transcript since this is still Sergio’s program. Juls reminds him that this program is Sergio’s AND hers…she demands respect.

At the hospital, Sergio is very happy since he hadn’t felt so cared for in a long time. Had he known it would be like this, he would have had the heart attack sooner. Alicia is quite uncomfortable, but Sergio forges on…he doesn’t want to go to sleep because he wants to enjoy her company…and he needs to see the program. Alicia complains that other than having to stay, she has to watch the program. Sergio insists since he has to be aware of whatever Juls does. The program starts with Juls’s announcement about Sergio’s heart attack. Juls dishes out a bunch of BS about how it is just not her that is scared to lose such an icon…it is the whole nation. When she ends with a comment that Sergio will return, but needs to recuperate since life needs to be led calmly AFTER A CERTAIN AGE, Sergio has a fit.

Martin calls again and Alicia tells him that she only answered out of courtesy. When she asks what good it is to be separated if they are talking 3 times a day, Martin insists that is a good number for two people who adore each other and taking a brief break. Alicia tells him that this is not a break and it is not a game. When Martin tells her that he knows it isn’t a game and adds that he is dying for her, Alicia assures him that she is not going to change her mind. Martin then asks about Sergio so Alicia gives him an update. When she adds that Sergio is very upset since he is watching the program, Martin asks if she is at the hospital…and shouldn’t it be Juls who should be there? Alicia replies that such is life..sometimes people get sick…or a person recalls the passion of his life during a trip. Martin wonders what she means by that but Alicia ignores the question. After Martin tells her that he envies Sergio at that moment, Alicia asks him to help her out…and NOT CALL HER!!

 

DEJAN, Ep. 77, Part 4: Anvils Around the Corner…for the Thief and the Killer!

At Casa Carrangst, Yuri is feeling horrible. When she tells Miranda that she feels nauseous, Miranda wonders if she is pregnant…she wouldn’t be the first bride to get pregnant before getting married. Meanwhile, Cholo is thinking about kissing Yuri in the storage room.

El Toro goes to pick up Luna. After they leave, Sofi tlls Martin that Luna has her things that were stolen. Sofi tell him Luna’s explanation, so Martin tells her that she shouldn’t be upset with Luna since she had nothing to do with it. Martin then comments that Luna’s father gave him a bad vibe.

Juls goes to see Sergio. When she asks if he saw the program, Sergio sarcastically replies that he did…and now he and the whole world are aware of just how old he is. When the nurse tells her that the nurses and Alicia took very good care of him, Juls wonders how else she can tell Alicia to leave him alone…she knows that Alicia wants to get hm back but her little game will end today!

Miranda sees Culebra at school and notes his long face. He admits that her grandmother put him in his place…he will never be good enough for her. Miranda laughs it off since her family will accept him. They then see the cops walking at a distance.

Chela takes Yuri a pregnancy test which Yuri is anxiously waiting for. Yuri assures her that if she is pregnant, it is Cholo’s.

At the school, the director explains why the cops are there; someone filed a complaint about Miranda’s video being uploaded. Miranda confidently announces that she was the one who filed the complaint; and she is glad to see that the cops are doing something about it…the guilty one(s) should be prepared.

Martin and Mabel go looking for El Toro, but no one knows anything. Martin points out a camera which does not belong to the cops. All they have to do is convince the owner to let them view the recordings.

Yuri is pregnant (sorpresa!); she worries that she will be having Cholo’s child and will have to marry Moises.

Martin talks to the store owner and explains why he needs to see the video recordings. The owner admits that his own brother was also killed at that market…and he will gladly give his permission! After a few minutes, they find the footage where Simon was killed. Martin cries as he sees Simon being shot…then pants heavily with anger as he watches El Toro kneel beside a downed Simon then run away.

Fedora goes to visit Alicia; she is there for breakfast…and she has a delicate situation to discuss with her. They are on their way to the kitchen when there is another knock on the door. Its Juls who is happy to find Alicia since she wants to talk to her.

Mabel notes that they now have the proof that Cholo didn’t kill Martin’s brother. Martin looks spaced out…he doesn’t understand how he didn’t realize it sooner. He had him right in front of him and didn’t recognize him...he saw him—El Toro Cruz!! And he knows how to find him!!

And so the episode ends…hasta mañana!!

Rgv Chick, such a prophetic title - the anvils are indeed lining up as the walls begin to close in.
Your recap
was excellent. The cream of the crop. A joy to read.

Sergio cries copious tears. His affection for his amante has dissipated and his looks are no longer amorous but are disdainful and dismissive.

It seems as though a lifetime of turmoil has elapsed, and yet nothing has changed. Sergio has lied, cheated and abandoned. Yet Alicia was expected to forgive and even more incomprehensible, to stay with Sergio. When she tried to forge a life of her own, she was scorned and unsupported. And now that Sergio has survived a health crisis and experienced some kind of clarity, her family consensus is “…everyone supports Eva since Juls doesn’t know how to take care of Sergio”. After being hurt, humiliated and heartbroken, her family wants her to be a nursemaid. And then she is “outnumbered and pressured into staying”. Inconceivable.

“Sergio then cries as he asks Gonzo to forgive him… he would much rather see him as a baker than in jail”. Geez, that’s a relief ☹

There was one small consolation. Mabel and Julieta both referring to Sergio as the “older” man that he is. Ageism finally rears its ugly head in HIS direction.

Seeing the murder replayed was hard on Martin…

Yuri is still planning on proceeding with the wedding?? She almost deserves Moises.

“Alicia asks him to help her out…and NOT CALL HER!!” Martin only hears “CALL ME”. Sigh.

Boy, do I want to see Eva get the Third Degree over this. I hope that happens tonight.

Juleech has really done it now. She is losing SerJerk and what a narcissist she is to think that Alicia would be stupid enough to try to get him back.

Quique's theft had to be revealed and good for Sofie that she was so generous to Luna.

Not sure of SerJerk's new leaf. I think it will fade to black and he would go back to his selfish ways if Alicia did take him back.
 

So once again Alicia has to bend to her family’s will when it concerns Sergio...this is so exasperating!!!! Will her family ever put her needs first for once...ever?? Yuri don’t be silly, you went from a confident assertive attorney in the beginning to a cowardly self sacrificing lawyer now kissing up that disgusting Moises’...snap out of it!!! Listen to your brother and Karina!!!! You have what it takes to get Cholito out...you are a bloody lawyer for crying out loud, you don’t need Moises!!! In other news Fedora- 1 Eva- 0 I’m so happy the harpy has been caught but sad it’s going to be another disappointment poor Alicia will encounter...can’t this lovely lady catch a damn break??
Also now that Martin has the proof to get Cholo out who does he go to?? Certainly not Mujica cos he’s involved...is there another official higher up than sleazy Mujica...an honest one at that. Mabel just stop...Martin doesn’t like you like that...riling Alicia up with your comments won’t do you any good...get a life girl.
Alicia I hope you find your happily ever after with or without Martin and definitely without Serjerk...he made his bed, let him lie in it with Julieta and their baby and I hope for once your family thinks about your feelings. Recap writers I can’t thank you enough, you are beyond awesome😃👍🏾

Rgv Chick, you're recap is amazing! This episode was a lot less fun to watch than your recap was to read. If I had known ahead of time I would have just read the recap and FF through the first 30 mins of this!

I never wanted to slap so many people in just one night. Yuri - for telling Gonzo not to exaggerate when he suggested papi could use this experience to become a better person. The whole family (or maybe just the writers) for pressuring Alica AGAIN to support Sergio after everything he's done and to spend the night there?? Alica for spending the night! Martin for being Martin - I can't stand him I really can't, why wasn't he in the room when his daughter needed him and was discovering her stolen items with her best friend? Mabe for tormenting Alicia - I said a while back she didn't deserve an anvil but I am changing my mind this chick gets worse by the day! Eva and Moises - because they were there and like talking.

Did Sergio turn over a new leaf? He seemed so genuine with Gonzo but then he was hard-core manipulating Yuri in the next breath. I have my doubts. What if he was manipulating Gonzo too telling him what he wanted to hear so that he would have his support when he goes to win over Alicia? If so, he's a good liar that scene was very convincing.

The scene with Gonzo and Yuri was so good in the fact that he is encouraging his sister to rely on herself - definitely a better option than Moises, but he thinks Yuri will be a good lawyer. I disagree. Yuri is: 1. A bad liar - that scene with her telling mommy she is marrying the wrong guy because she can't wait 25 years for the right one was laughable. 2. Incapable of seeing when someone is transparently manipulating her right to her face - daddy is still the best man in the world!? 3. She apparently can't investigate. Martin and Mabe found the proof Cholo was innocent in that market in like an hour. Why didn't Yuri back when she was Cholo's lawyer? (why didn't the police. Yes, it's not their camera but they could have tried to compel the evidence. And by police I mean Karina and Gutierrez not Mujica who obviously wouldn't have looked)

MaameAdwoa - 'now that Martin has the proof to get Cholo out who does he go to??' The media!! Absolutely the media, he has contacts this needs to be breaking news on every channel.

Urban - 'what a narcissist she is to think that Alicia would be stupid enough to try to get him back.' Interesting....I was thinking denial. She is too smart to believe Alicia wants Sergio back and she knows exactly who he is and where she is standing although she pretends not to. I was thinking lashing out at Alicia just gave her an outlet for the rage she can't direct toward the real culprit - Sergio. Same with her complaining about how everyone treats her to Mabe - she doesn't give a damn about what they think. She's just worried about Sergio's changing attitude. But narcissism fits too, you are probably right. I still enjoyed watching her plant the seed for the whole audience that Sergio is a man of a certain age - this calculating witch is already starting to make him pay for abandoning her even as she puts on a happy face and pretends she hasn't been abandoned yet.

I was thinking maybe Yuri would change her mind for the baby's sake but maybe the wedding will be stopped by Cholo going free and Moise's services not being needed.

All those hours (years) of footage and both Fedora and Martin find exactly what they are looking for within mins!!! Amazing! ;)

Sergio: talk about a near deathbed conversion but it is clearly too little too late.

I felt sorry for Luna but was happy with how Sofía and then Martín handled it.

We are in the home stretch!

MaameAdwoa, I was right there with you watching Alicia giving in to the family one more time. They had no right to ask her to stay with Sergio and it is still concerning that they will not recognize her autonomy. She does not help with giving in either.

Urban, I so hope that Eva’s crime is discovered tonight because then I get to write about it! Fun.

Diana, Aside from hitting Martín with a brick up side the head, how can Alicia get Martín to understand he has become a persona non grata with his continual pestering? He seems no better than Sergio at this point because all he cares about is his need to be in contact with her. I think he has gone from the “goofy galán” to the “goner galán.”

Darcy, I so agree that Gonzo sees more in Yuri than she does in herself. She just acts DUMB. At this point, she deserves Moisés. Yes, it was almost magical how Quickly Fedora and Martín found the images they were looking for. Too funny.

Tome to make some coffee and move on. Can’t wait until tonight!

Narcissists think that everyone should want what they want, do as they do -- or say -- and are always looking out for #1. Here is also a bigger truth: Alicia is the better woman.

Alicia is a human being who had been SerJerk's wife for 30 years. She knows things Juleech wants to ignore. She has no knowledge of what it takes to be a wife. All she cares about is using him as a springboard to eventually take over the network. Then she will discarding him like yesterday's newspaper.

Not going to happen if he rejects her, even if Alicia doesn't take him back. The nurses in that hospital should record every nasty thing she does and send it anonymously to the rival network.

Urban your "Quique's theft had to be revealed and good for Sofie that she was so generous to Luna" exactly mirrored that scene. Luna was gently embarrassed but Sofia was kind.

MaameAdwoa, I think there are avenues for Martin to go to with his evidence. If they went to honest Facundo and Karina, the invaluable footage would certainly be destroyed. Because the police are rife with corruption, one option might be Mabe and the media. Sergio has friends in high places but I don't see him helping Martin unless of course Alicia asks.

"I think he has gone from the “goofy galán” to the “goner galán.” Excellent but so sad as you noted Jarifa. Alicia does not appear to be giving in this time to his pesky persistence. We shall need to wait and see!

TU AMOR ep 108 part 1

Adelaida tells Gulliermo that a doctor has come to check on him. Guillermo's surprised and says he didn't ask for a doctor. The doctor says he's a cardiologist that taught Rosa Maria. She told me about your case, he says, and asked me to see you so we could care for you together.

Ricardo explains to Valentina how Nora manipulated the DNA test. Val remembers Nora refusing to provide saliva for the test and providing a hair sample in a ziplock bag instead. She told the technician that she can't stand things in her mouth. I know it hurts, Ricardo says, but you're Guillermo's true daughter. He tries to comfort her as she cries.

Nora follows Yolanda into her office. She asks how she discovered she wasn't Guillermo's daughter. Dear, a magician never reveals her secrets, Yolanda says. Patricia comes in. She gloats about Nora losing the ranch. Guillermo has to sell it, she says, because insurance doesn't pay in cases of arson. Yolanda tells them to stop. Victory in Milan is much more important. Well, I want that ranch, Nora insists.

Valentina tells Claudio how Nora manipulated the DNA test. There's more, she adds. Ricardo confessed that he stole money from his father and opened an account in my name. You already knew, she says, How?

There's a knock on the door at Consuelo's house. It's Leonardo. Horacio lets him in. Leo says he came to see Horacio, as he pulls ski masks from a bag. A buddy owed me some money, he says, and he paid me with these. Do you think you could sell them for me? Of course, Consuelo says relieved. You'll get your money in a few days. Right Horacio?

Valentina is upset that Claudio didn't tell her about the account before. Forgive me, he says, but I had to gather the evidince I need to defend you. Defend me from what?, she asks. From who? The tax authorities are looking for you, he explains. They're accusing you of fraud. If I can't prove your innocence, you'll be spending many years in jail. If Ricardo's plan had worked, I would never have met you, Val says. But I need to find out who told don Armando about our plan to escape. I think it must have been Nora.

Ricardo brings some flowers to Camila. I'm not that naïve, she says. I told you I was pregnant and you turned your back on me. I'm grateful you saved me from the accident. I always thought that fate meant for us to be together. But after what you did, I don't know if I still love you. What do I have to do to demonstrate my love?, Ricardo asks. Divorce Valentina, Cami responds. Give her the freedom to be with the man she loves - Claudio. Of course, he says, but It's my fault the tax authorities are looking for her. I have to help her, even though it might send me to jail.

When Enrique opens the locker at the metro station he sees a note. "You should never cheat on a woman", it says. Desperately, he checks the bags. Damn you, Lizia, you stole all my money! Back in his office he gets an email. If you're reading this, it says, it's because I just took all your money and I'm living somewhere with my mother. I'd like to say that I wish you the best, but I despise you. I hope that life makes you pay for all the damage you've done. Lizia. Damn you!, he rages, impotently.

Valentina and Nora have a spat which ends with Val asking her if she told don Armando about her plans to escape with Ricardo. Yes it was me, Nora says defiantly. Do you want to know why? I'm sick of you always taking everything from me. Before sleeping with you, Ricardo made love to me in the same lake where he took you to swim.

Guillermo makes a confession at Estella's grave. I always felt invincible, he admits. I cheated on you with many women but I wasn't prepared for someone to do the same to me. I forgive you Estela. Forgive me for all the harm I've done to you. Maybe it's my fault that you cheated. I'm sorry now for all my mistakes.

Consuelo tells Helena her own story when she catches her looking at Hector's photo. She says her experience was similar to Helena's. I thought I lost Andrés when Yolanda came between us. If you love Hector, fight for him, she suggests. Andrés left Yolanda at the altar and came back to me when he realized all the wrongs she had done. I swallowed my pride and forgave him. And thanks to that I was happy and had three (2?) marvelous children.

Nora, you never told me what you felt for Ricardo, Valentina says. What good would it have done?, Nora asks. He would have stayed with you anyway. I'm tired of talking about it. What I ask is that you not to say anything to my father, I mean Guillermo. You don't want to be rich anyway. I'm not going to say anything, Valentina promises, taking Nora in her arms.... Because you're going to tell him.

Leonardo tells Consuelo that he'll talk to Horacio about his commission on the ski masks while she makes supper. He kisses her head and goes to Horacio's house. Forgive me God, she says for not trusting my son. Horacio explodes on Leonardo. You came into my house and robbed me!, he shouts. And you're going to tell your mother. Don't you realize how the things you do affect her? Shut up, Leo says. You'll do what I tell you, or I'll tell the world you have a treasure worth millions. Don't threaten me boy, Horacio shouts. You want the treasure? Take it. I'll finally be free of this terrible curse. Don't you understand? I don't care about the money. I care about you. Valentina and Claudio meet Helena and her seamstresses at a cafe. Ximena finds it awesome, the number of followers Val has on social media. Diana suggests they start selling her dresses online. I've already started, Val says. At times I didn't even sleep, but since the mansion burned, I stopped. We could sell dresses at Horacio's booth, Helena suggests. And our clothing will have designer quality at prices women with limited means can afford. We can work from our homes, Ximena suggests. And we can do a fashion show at the orphanage, Val says, to get money to help Carlitos.

Ricardo goes to a priest for advice. He says he betrayed his wife. He had her sign papers without reading them so he could rob his father. She doesn't know that I wanted to marry her so I could get back the money, Ricardo confesses. I want to tell the truth, even if it means betraying my sister, but... I don't know how she'll react. Padre, you don't know her. She doesn't know how to forgive.

Helena comes to Consuelo's house with Diana and Ximena. She tells her about starting her business again. We came to find you, Helena says. We need experienced hands and yours are the best. The only thing missing is a place to put the taller. Connie says they can use her house.

Where did you get these pieces?, a jeweler asks Leonardo, as he inspects a necklace through his loupe at Leonardo's house. It was a gift from my great grandfather, Leo lies. These jewels belonged to Carlota (empress and wife of Maximilian I of Mexico), the jeweler says. After Maximilian was executed, many of his belongings were lost. I recognized them immediately from the photos you sent. According to the treaty of Vienna, Mexico is obligated to return these jewels to Oxford. The doorbell rings and two agents from the National Institute of Archeology and History enter the room. Be glad we didn't talk to the police, an agent says, because having these jewels is a crime.

Horacio gets a text that the people of the barrio want to lynch Regino. A crowd is threatening him when Claudio and Horacio show up. This isn't necessary, Claudio tells the crowd. He'll get his justice the proper way. Two cops show up and drag Regino away. Get out of here, he commands Cibernético.

Helena confronts Patricia at Yolanda's. Get out of here this instant, Yolanda orders, or I'll call... Call them, says Val, but you should know what Patricia is capable of doing. Ricardo told me the disgusting way you manipulated us, Val tells Patricia. What's my sister talking about?, Nora asks. Security escorts Valentina to the exit and Nora tells them she'll take over. Valentina slaps her and tells her to shut up. You told everyone that you're Guillermo's daughter, Val says, when it turns out that it's me.

Joel, I was fortunate enough to read the second part of your excellent recap before it disappeared. You mirrored all the suspense and excitement of last night perfectly.

“Thanks to that I was happy and had three (2?) marvelous children”. Exactly! 😊

We were not surprised that Leo came up with a scheme to say he was selling the masks. I’m not quite sure Consuelo totally believed him. Horacio did not.

And with the sordid details of the many and varied ways in which Nora tried to destroy Valentina being revealed, Valentina finally seems convinced that Nora must at least admit some of her transgressions. Some small justices with Leo being arrested and Enrique robbed blind. So Guillermo cheated on his wife yet he magnanimously forgives her? Please. If Helena is happy she reconciled with him, then I am happy for her. He does nothing for me.

I don’t think Leo’s karma will be life behind bars. Majo’s sister may have other plans.

Yolanda is carrying on business as usual as others are falling down around her. My question is, will she ever make it to Milan???

Fedora will tell someone and I am betting it will be Gonzalo. I don't think he is afraid to confront Eva and it was his money she stole.

What I favor now is a one-year time jump to Alicia and Martin getting back together.

"Call them, says Val, but you should know what Patricia is capable of doing". Of course those words had the opposite effect and were indeed music to Yolanda's ears as she preens at ANY nefarious deeds. The more hellacious, the better!!

I think Sergio could probably be trusted with that video (and that he necessarily should be or needs to be). That story is just too explosive! To be the reporter/station to get to break the news and show that the murder was caught on camera??? It's a huge get and Sergio is too ambitious no way he would walk away from that!!! He wouldn't even think of it as helping Martin it would be all about him being the premier reporter to break the news, a total I'll show you a 'man of a certain she's moment! Julieta would report it too if asked, definitely!

But my vote is for all channels give it to every newsroom in the city and have it be breaking news on all networks.

TU AMOR. Excellent recap, JoelD, and I'm glad the confusion about part 2 was cleared up. Insightful comments as usual, Diana. Wow! Leo fools Consuelo pretty easily, but then we expected that. Though you could be right, Diana, that deep down she has her doubts. Hmm. How do the writers keep both Val and Ricardo out of jail? Maybe by Ricardo's conveniently dying and making a deathbed confession? Nora becomes ever more despicable--and dangerous, now that she feels threatened with exposure. Ricardo turns out to be an even creepier player than he seemed. Enrique is finally getting what's coming to him--at least a start on it. Could jail be far behind? My goodness! That was the Empress Carlota's jewelry. No wonder grandad was hiding it. I wonder if all that about the legal obligation to return it is true. And why return it to Oxford? Shouldn't it be Vienna or Paris? Good heavens! I thought Regino was planning to flee the country. He should have. Whoa! Guillermo has an actual moment of humility. I agree, Diana, (2?) Hilarious, JoelD.

I am done with Yuri. ...and now she is pregnant and passes on that dimness. Cholo deserves better, but I suppose these two are going to be together and baby makes 3. Don't care.

Martin has been spinning his wheels throughout this whole show . I get no galan vibes despite the three women plus Alicia who have been pursuing him. I will pass . I know a galan when I see one . you're not it ,Peter Pan . However, if you make Alicia happy .....go for it. Alicia has earned some peace and happiness .

This family is unbelievable . Serg created this whole mess, and yet the kids and Eva have been Relentlessly harassing Alicia to give him a hall pass ( Men will be men .....plueeeezzee) .Now, they all think Alicia should become cheating, lying, arrogant , egotistical, nasty, vengeful Serg's caregiver. Unbelievable. I often think of something I was told long ago " The strongest donkey pulls the load.". And " The wheel that squeaks the loudest gets the oil." Everyone wants Alicia to be the strongest donkey .She needs to start squeaking up. The girls , Gonzo, and Eva can take shifts taking care of Serg . Jul could get a nurse's uniform , shorten it, tighten it ...She can be on night duty .

I forgot this before..but the scene where Valentina of the trusting and eternally smiling persona remembered Nora and the hair sample for DNA. Nora refusing the cheek swab cause she can't stand things in her mouth. Jeez Valentina really alas ya barely knew her. Without going into specifics I believe even the good sister at the Church of God bothers would have had to call a foul on that one.

Adelaida calls Claudio to the office to show him the email she received from Lizia. He thinks Enrique could be behind the problems with the business but says he doesn't understand why. I think I do, Adelaida says, follow me. Claudio calls security. Adelaida finds Enrique in the hall and slaps him. You abused our trust, she tells him. You thought you were going to escape? Take him, she tells security. Don't let him leave the office until my brother gets here. You have a lot to explain, she tells him.

Hector picks up his cab from his mechanic buddy. He says he's only charging Hector half for the labor. That's why I always come here, Hector tells Camila and Mina. He gets behind the wheel and realizes he won't be able to drive. I can't even see well, Hector says. He hands the keys to Camila. Really?, Mina jokes, I'm not insured. I haven't written my will. Camila doesn't drive very well and runs into a garbage can a man is dragging across the street. Give me the keys, Hector says. You can't be stressed like that because of the baby.

Valentina is going to regret coming here, Yolanda tells Patricia in her office. I don't know why you have so much resentment, Patricia says. She's Guillermo's true daughter but, the stupid thing loves her sister too much to expose her. Why are you so sure?, Yolanda asks. I've threatened to send Nora to jail if she opens her mouth. I have documents that compromise her. We're not going to put her in jail yet, Yolanda says. All the photos for the Milan fashion show have already been taken and I won't miss the opportunity to present my collection.

We've already determined that Guillermo's mail has been hacked, Claudio tells Enrique, which makes us think that the economic disaster was caused by you. Still pending is the diversion of millions to the Caiman Islands that we're tracking. For God's sake Enrique, Adelaida asks. Why did you do it? I was stupid, he says. I did everything for love. My dream was to get the ranch so Patricia would marry me. He hangs his head as Adelaida puts her hands on his shoulders to comfort him.

Why are you looking at me like that?, Consuelo asks Helena, after giving her words of encouragement about Hector. I would have loved my mother to have talked to me like you're doing now, Helena explains. Remember, we were going to go to breakfast some time so you could tell me about her. I remember, Connie says. Estela was the most talented designer and seamstress that I knew. We were friends. She was a pure soul that fell in love with your father. She had to fight against Yolanda for his love. When Andres decided to leave her, Yolanda was badly wounded and fell in love with Guillermo. One day he came to the taller and she was bedazzled, but he didn't feel the same way. He was focused on your mother and wanted to spend his life at her side. They were in love, but Yolanda wouldn't rest until she had an affair with your father and your mother really suffered. I think she knew Guillermo loved her, but he was a womanizer. She took refuge in alcohol and well, with alcohol people do things they would never do in control of their senses. Like sleeping with my novio, Helena agrees, which led to her death. Your mother was crazy about you, Consuelo says. Every time she spoke of you her eyes lit up. Tearfully, Helena lays her head on Connie's shoulder.

Yolanda's detective is surveilling Beba as Uriel arrives, incognito. He takes a seat at the table behind her. Don't turn around, he tells her. You're being watched. What you did with the cell phone was perfect. I have an idea to divert his attention - Making Yolanda think that the spy in her taller is Patricia.

Leonardo sees what appears to be Majo standing by the street as he passes her in his car. He pulls the car to the side of the road, gets out, and looks for her, but she's nowhere to be seen.

You'll always be my mother, Valentina says, looking at the yellowed letters that Chelita wrote through the years. Always, always. Thanks for caring for me and treating me like a true daughter. Thank-you for everything mom. I won't be defeated. I'm going to help Helena - my sister.

Guillermo lays a bouquet of flowers on Estela's crypt. It's now surrounded by beautiful arrangements in white. Not believing my daughter was the greatest mistake of my life, he says, but it shows how much I loved you. This is our last station. We all come here. It's our final destiny. Rich, poor, good, bad. We're all accountable to the Lord. He gets a call from Claudio to come to the office.

Why is Leonardo so distant with you Consuelo?, Helena asks. I have a terrible pain in my chest, Connie says, because at the bottom of my heart, I'm sure that Leonardo is the one who attacked his brother. Do you know something?, she asks, when she sees how Helena reacts. It's something terrible, Helena says, covering her face with her hands. When Majo came out of her coma a nurse heard her say that Leonardo caused the accident.

My love, Mina, I'm here, Patricia shouts returning to her apartment with a bag of Chinese take out. Placing it on the table she finds Hector's note. "It's best that we go to where we belong. Thanks for everything." Why?, Patricia asks, if everything was going so well? No, no, she says crying. Hector?, she asks as her phone rings. It's Claudio telling her she needs to get to the office.

In his conference room, Guillermo has Enrique by the lapels. How did you dare to do it, you ingrate?, he asks. I can't believe it. You were like a son to me. You were a poor boy growing up on the street. I trusted you. I gave you the same education as my children. I felt proud of you, idiot, of what you had achieved. And now you've turned into a miserable thief. Why Enrique? Why? I'm not proud of what I've done, Enrique says, but there's more here than you see. If we make a deal I'll tell you everything. I'm not making a deal, Guillermo shouts. Get him out of here. Nora and Patricia arrive at the office as the police drag Enrique away. Surely he burned the mansion to force you to sell the ranch, Nora suggests. Adelaida remembers being told about the receipt for ethanol and the matches Nora had in her purse.

There is knock on Horacio's door and he lets Leonardo in. Where did you get those jewels?, Leo asks. They tell me they belonged to a certain Carlota or a Maximiliano. Supposedly these people are important and the jewels are priceless. The authorities showed up at my house and took them from me. Well I know you don't believe in the curse, Horacio says. I'm glad they took them so you don't have an accident. Your jewels are worth a fortune, Leo says. I'm going to sell them on the black market. I'll give you half. No sir, Horacio says, you're not taking anything. It's my only way not to be poor, Leo says. You've always been poor, Horacio points out. Poor in spirit, in values, in intelligence. What good are so many millions to you? You're full of evil. You should be in jail but do you know why I don't report you? Because I love you as if you were my son. It's a pity you're so ungrateful to your family, Horacio says, blocking the door to the treasure room with his body. That you've turned into this, a criminal. I need the money, Leonardo shouts. Move or die! You're going to kill me?, Horacio asks. Do it. But you'll take those jewels over my dead body. The jewels are yours son, but I don't want the curse to fall on you. Only imbeciles hurt the people that care for them. Look at me! I'm talking to you. If you dare to lay a hand on anyone in your family, you and I will die here together.

Nora talks to herself in a mirror. I won't let Valentina take what I love, she says. To be Guillermo's daughter. I'm capable of anything, she says holding up a knife. She remembers talking to Yolanda at her office. Sometimes people force us to do things we never thought we were capable of doing, Yolanda says. What are you talking about?, Nora asks. Yolanda slides her a box covered in luxurious gold cloth. Nora opens it and discovers a knife wrapped in red velvet. It's for what you have to do, Yolanda explains. But she's my sister, Nora says. I can't do it, she tells herself, as her thoughts return to the present. Crying, she returns the knife to her purse.

Patricia pours out her heart to her madrina, and, as always, Yolanda has a solution to her problems. You have to take the art of manipulation to the next level, she says. Hector is a man of values. You can use that against him. I'm sure he wouldn't abandon you if he knew you were expecting his child. But I'm not pregnant, Patricia responds. You don't have to be, Yolanda advises. You just have to convince him that you are. Be creative. Beba overhears the conversation through the office door.

Ricardo shows up to Consuelo's house and wants to talk to Valentina. Camila suggest they talk in Connie's room where it's more private. Ricardo tells Valentina that he wants to change. He made a lot of mistakes but they grew up together and he really did love her. But you slept with Nora, Val says, as Camila listens to their conversation. Yes, I was with Nora he admits. I was an imbecile. You don't know how much I regretted it. Our love was a lie, Valentina says. I was going to leave my father for you. You want your damn money right? I'm going to give it to you, but never look for me again in your life. Let me be happy. With Claudio. I want a divorce. While they talk, Consuelo realizes she's out of alcohol and Gauze for taking care of Hector. Helena volunteers to get some. She says she'll be right back.


 

TU AMOR ep 109 part 4

What are you talking about Leonardo?, Helena asks, as she steps into Horacio's kitchen. Nothing, he says. We were talking business. I just wanted to see you. I have to get back to your mother's, Helena says. I only came to get some things for taking care of Hector. Yes, they left him very hurt, Horacio says. Go Helena. We don't know what type of coward did it. They could still be near. You look so pretty Leonardo says to Helena, making her uncomfortable. You look radiant. Beautiful. We haven't had a chance to talk but I'd like to talk about many things with you, he says, stroking her hair. Hector shows up and Helena asks Leonardo to leave once and for all. And take your filthy things, Horacio says, tossing his bag of masks on the floor.

Where did you get these ski masks?, Hector asks. It's for a business, Leo says. A business of beating your brother's face?, Hector asks. You think I didn't see your mask while you were kicking me on the ground? You didn't have the guts to face me. It was you, admit it. Well, yes, Leo confesses, you deserved it. You only understand the language of fists. Hector pulls him close and kisses him on the head. I love you brother, he says. But you crossed the line and were dishonest with Helena. I don't want you near her. You don't get to decide, Leo says. Are you afraid she'll stay with me? It wouldn't be the first time it happened.

I won't let you hurt Helena like you did Nuria, Hector says. Nuria and I loved each other. You deceived her and took her from me. What deception?, Leo asks. I'm sick of you saying I deceived her. It's not my fault that I'm better than you. How are you better than me?, Hector shouts. You got Nuria pregnant and abandoned her. You're cynical enough to say you're better than me? You abandoned your own daughter. I sacrificed everything for her. To adopt her. To give her a home. Mina is my daughter. Mina, unfortunately, sneaked away from Consuelo and heard the entire argument.
 

TU AMOR. Another great recap, JoelD! I was so glad to see Enrique get arrested! Mina was very funny when Camila took the wheel in Hector's taxi. A will indeed! Yep, Yolanda, the Milan fashion show is way more important than Nora's going to jail or not. I was happy to see Helena and Consuelo bonding. I love the way Judith is gaslighting Leo. He has it coming, greedy though she is. Yep, Consuelo didn't really believe Leo about the face masks, and now that Helena has told her what Majo said about Leo's causing her accident, things are even worse. Whoa! Nora! She tries to take advantage of everything--like trying to frame Enrique for the arson when he gets arrested for embezzlement. Good thing Adelaida's not buying it. Leo hasn't studied enough basic Mexican history to know who Carlota and Maximilian were? That's the kind of stuff kids learn in elementary school. At least Nora decides not to kill Val--for now. Oh oh. Mina finds out Leo is her biological father. Diana predicted he might be.
 

TU AMOR

Joel, an incredibly detailed summary that pulled us into the storyline, allowing us to experience and feel the varied emotions our beloved and not so beloved characters are experiencing. While a few of the clouds have lifted, the storm is slightly out of range while it gathers strength as it churns and grows, soon to be out of control. It is only thanks to your superb dialog translations that I am able to correctly ascertain what actually transpired.

I am rarely right but now, Mina’s paternity has been brought to light. Perhaps it’s the fact we see Leo is jaded and murderous, but I cannot understand why anyone would choose him over Hector. In the long ago past, he might have had some sincerity and warmth. Traits now long gone.

I am a bit surprised the revelation about Mina and Hector’s finding out Leo was his attacker happened rather far ahead of the finale. I found the kiss Hector gave Leo very “Godfather” like. The kiss one gives a traitor.

Yolanda telling Patricia to play the pregnancy card? ☹ I will leave it at that.

Though the words and actions should not have shocked, seeing Yolanda sliding the box with the knife toward Nora was chilling. Should we be relieved Nora said she would not kill Valentina? No, not at all.

Ricardo needs to leave Valentina alone. He has inflicted so much damage! I do not see him living to be with Camila. Donors are needed and he fits that bill.

So, while it made sense for Uriel to sit with his back to Beba, it was obvious Beba was speaking to someone and you don’t need to be Columbo to figure out it was to him. Wouldn’t the spy have seen that as well?

On the positive side “I was happy to see Helena and Consuelo bonding. I love the way Judith is gaslighting Leo”. Yes, SpanProf, I am with you on both counts!!

Helena is coming out of her fog, inch by inch. I am really rooting for her and Hector (wonder how long they’ll have him looking like cyclops??)

1. Mabe asks how it was that Martín had his brother's killer right in front of him. He explains about his daughter's friends father who had brought his child over but wouldn't come in or look him in the eye. He is certain. Isidro hands over the jump dive with the recording of the killing. Martín promises to protect his identity as the source of the video. Martín now needs to find out where Toro lives. He tells Mabe that Mujica is not to be involved in any way when she suggests calling him.

2. Julieta is confronting Alicia at Rebeca's. She wants Alicia tis tay away of Alicia. She is sick of her air of superiority and playing the victim as well as the long suffering little lady. As Fedora and Rebeca look on, Julieta accuses Alicia of taking advantage of Sergio's heart attack to win hi back. Alicia is incredulous. She has better things to do. She asks where Julieta was when all this was going on??? Julieta's excuses include work and being oh! so tired because she is pregnant. Alicia sarcastically welcomes her to now being half of a couple with Sergio. Julieta is always talking about Sergio and how he is now her husband but she abandons him when he is having a hear attack. Julieta launches herself at Alicia accusing her of wanting Sergio back. Fedora separates them but Rebeca is quick on the draw pulls a gun and points it at Julieta.

3. Diablo is telling Fabián how well Julieta did holding the ratings on the show all by herself when Fabián sees the live video coverage from his house. Rebeca has a gun. He calls home.

4. As Alicia tries to calm Rebeca down, Rebeca says she doesn't know who Julieta is but she will not allow her to come into her home and threaten the women who take care of her. Rebeca wants them to call the police and have her arrested. (BEST idea so far! Why NOT???) Julieta starts to leave and Alicia and Rebeca fight over the gun because Rebeca still wants to shoot Julieta. The gun goes off and the noise quiets Rebeca down. Fedora tells Julieta as she leaves that no matter what she does in her life, she will never be one zillionth of the woman Alicia is. Fedora starts screaming: GET OUT.

5. Chela tells Yuri to forget about marrying Moisés. She asks if she is planning on telling him she is pregnant with Cholo's baby. Yuri seems to be considering that (how dumb is she???). Chela then asks if Cholo does not deserve to know she is pregnant with his child. the conversation ends because Chela has been called in to work.

6.Miranda has filed a police report and the police are at teh school checking students' cellphones. The principal supervises as Nicole complains about her rights being violated. The principal explains the severity of the matter because the school's network was used to spread the video. Miranda tells them they can laugh all they want. They all laughed at her video and nobody knows how she felt; what it did to her. She even tried to kill herself. She wants nobody to go through what she did. The kids applaud. Miranda is not looking for applause; she is looking for justice.

7. Luna has not gone to school. In front of her mother, she confronts Quique because she knows that he stole the laptop and cap from Sofía's house. Quique insists he won the items on a bet. Sofía sees right through him. She is sick of all the pretending that goes on in the house to hide the truth like the fact that her father always has money but never has a job. Toro overhears that last comment.

8. Yuri is crying on her bed when Moisés calls giving her a reason to cry even more. The wedding is set in two days time. Yuri hangs up on him.

Part 2


9. Toro wants to know what is going on. Quique says that Luna is accusing them of being this. Quique explains that he won the laptop and cap on a bet. Toro chooses to believe him but that doesn't shut Luna up. She starts to talk about all of the stuff that passes in and out of their house. Toro screams at there that he has had enough. He lectures her about there only being honorable and hardworking people in his house. Luna walks away. He tells her she will not see Sofía again. Luna tells him she is embarrassed to be a part of this family. He goes to slap her but Marcela pulls him away. He ends up hitting Marcela instead and pulls a gun on her. Quique stops him from shooting his mother. Toro leaves.

10. Martín tells his father he has a video of Simón's murder. Since it destroyed his life, Facundo insists on watching it.

11. Fabián comes home surprised that Rebeca got the firearm because it was in the safe. He never thought she would have remembered the combination. Alicia fills him in on the finer points of Alzheimers. Fabián will change the combination. He tells Alicia he is worried about Julieta. Alicia says she has gone bonkers. Alicia doesn't think that "poor" Sergio had any idea of what he was getting into. Fedora tells her to be careful that she doesn't end up with Sergio out of "compassion. " She did spend the night with him at the hospital;. Alicia scoffs at the idea.

12. Julieta is telling her version of the confrontation to Sergio. That woman could have killed her because Alicia was yelling "Shoot her!" over and over. Sergio doesn't believe her He asks what she was doing at Rebeca's house anyway. Julieta says she went to demand that Alicia stay out of their lives and live them in peace. She has been a shadow over their lives like a curse. Sergio tells her not to be ridiculous. if their life has been hell, it has been her (Julieta's) fault. The doctor cuts the conversation short. Sergio is being discharged. He needs to stay calm, take his meds, eat right and get some moderate exercise. The doctor will see him in 2 weeks. When the doctor tells Julieta the nurse will explain it all to her, she is not interested. Sergio tells the surprised doctor, everything is fine as it is. Julieta is happy they can leave because she hates hospitals so much. Sergio looks like he has had it with her.

13. Facundo is upset after watching the video. something has to be done. Martín agrees that toro hasn't end up in jail. They have to act fast so he doesn't leave town. Martín has asked Karina to consult with them.

14. At the market. Susu has bad news for Trompeta. He tells him about the police. He doesn't have his money or the merch. Trompeta is not pleased.

15. Karina and Gutiérrez are making the rounds at the market. They spot Trompeta strong-arming and pushing Susu to somewhere else. They follow with their guns drawn.

16. Yaya has found Yuri's positive pregnancy test (YUK) and is confronting her with it. (Dumb Yuri again! Why would she throw that away in the house along with even the packaging when Yaya throws it all out??) She tells her that she may be able to hide guy in a storage room but she will not be able to hide her pregnancy. For the second time today, Yuri hears that you cannot marry one man being pregnant by another. (It could be Yuri's "get out of jail free" card) Yaya tells her total to her mother.

Part 3

17. Moisés stops by to see Cholo. He got his court date moved up to three days from today. Cholo wonders about the investigation being done in his case. Moisés assures him the investigation has been completed and now it is in the judge's hands. He tells Cholo how lucky he has been to have had him as his his lawyer but that will soon be over when Cholo is in prison. Cholo asks what if he is found innocent. Moisés tells him to enjoy his time while he is here. He also lets Cholo know that he might be late to his trial since he is getting married to Yuri the day before. . . Cholo looks like he knows he is being railroaded.

18. As Facundo and Martín are waiting for Karina, Facundo asks Martín what is wrong. He says he broke up with Alicia. Facundo thinks it might be for the best. Martín vehemently disagrees. Every time his phone rings he hopes it is her.

19. At the same time, Alicia is gazing sadly at Martín's photo on her phone. Fedora asks if she has heard from Martín. Alicia says no. Their relationship is over. Fedora cannot believe it. Alicia says it hurts too much to talk about. She asks what Fedora wanted to tell her about earlier. She said it was something sensitive. Fedora says she hates to be the bearer of bad news but her suspicions were true. She shows Alicia the recording of Eva taking the money out fo her purse. Alicia looks upward as if noticing the cameras for the first time. She wonders what her mother spent so much money on. She is now sure that Eva stole Fedora's necklace. Fedora suggests they follow Eva when she goes out.

20. Trompeta has Susu outside of the market and has slammed him against a wall. Susu has 24 hours to pay him the money he owes him. He and his associates are serious and don't like somebody trying to pull a fast one on them. Susu says he doesn't have that kind of money. Trompeta tells him then he is a dead man. As he turns to leave, Karina and Gutiérrez come around the corner with their guns drawn. Karina holds Trompeta at gun point as Susu runs. He runs into traffic and is hit by a car. Karina turns her head and steps away from Trompeta to see what happened and he runs. She doesn't chase him but goes to see about Susu. (This had to be the LAMEST scene in this whole novela. What kind police office would take her eyes off the perp and then step away from him to see what was going on as well as give up and not chase the perp???) Susu is DEAD.

21. Chatting in the hall, Nicole says she cannot believe that Miranda called the cops. Vanesa tells her one more time that they can connect her to uploading the video to the schools's network via her cellphone when they examine it. She could end up in jail. Vanesa finally talks her into getting rid of her phone. They can aways lie and say it was stolen. Ariana overhears this and overhears Vanesa in the bathroom with Nicole stomping the phone and tlking about throwing it away. They do not see her when they leave. Ariana opens the door to the bathroom. . .

22. Susu is being zipped into his body bag while Mujica is asking Karina and Gutiérrez for an explanation fo why happened. Karina explains they were following Susu who had been caught before with drugs to see if he would lead them to Trompeta. Gutiérrez says they actually had Trompeta until Susu started to run. Mujica reminds them that he never authorized this investigation. Karina admits it was their own idea. Mujica reminds her that Susu ended up dead. Karina thinks that it at least proved her hypothesis about Trompeta. Mujica thinks both officers are incompetent.

Part 4

23. Trompeta calls Toro to fill him in. Toro assures him he will take care of everything at the market. Toro tells Marcela he wants some food. She asks if he is dealing with another one of his schemes. He is in no mood or has the patience to start explaining things to her. He only wants some food. She tells him she is out of patience, too. She doesn't want to live with him anymore. She cannot take her daughter being humiliated and she informs him he will never lay a hand on her again. Toro doesn't take kindly to her demands. He warns her up close and personal that he will kill both of HER kids the day she leaves. Luna overhear it all.

24. Sofía arrives at Martín's. She lets him known that Luna didn't show up at school today and she never misses. Facundo asks if she knows her address. She asks if they are going to file a complaint against her brother. Martín says no. They convince her to find out what she can.

25. Sergio and Julieta arrive back at his house. Yaya and Yuri greet him. Julieta hands over the doctors over to Yaya. It is her job now. Julieta goes upstairs to rest.

26. Eva arrives back at Rebeca's. She was visiting her son-in-law Sergio who spent all the time asking about Alicia. Fedora and Alicia tell Eva about the scene Julieta caused. Eva insists that things are going to be just like before with Alicia at Sergio's side where she belongs. Fedora says that just proves that Eva doesn't love her daughter. Alicia being with Sergio would be like her being in jail. After trading more insults, Eva ends them telling Fedora to cover her bare chest with something so she doesn't catch pneumonia.

27. Gonzo hears about Susu and breaks down. He was his best friend and he didn't know how to help him. Lorena consoles him.

28. Karina arrives at Martín's telling him how badly things went. They show her the video. Karina doesn't know how much she can help because she is going to have her hands tied by Mujica after today. Facundo says that is no problem because they were not going to go through Mujica anyway. MartÍn says with the recording they can exonerate Cholo and arrest the real murderer of his brother. They think that Mujica is protecting the murderer. The question is: how to trap the murderer without the police protecting him?

29. Alicia watches the video of her mother again. Fedora hates to say it but she was right.

 

DEJAN

Part 5

30. Yuri begs Mujica to see Cholo. He refuses saying she is no longer his lawyer. She begs some more.

31. Ariana has Nicole's phone and shows it to Miranda as well as telling her what happened. She tells her she is so fed up with the situation that she is going to turn it in to the police.

33. Julieta is talking to Sergio as he rests in his own bed. She is clearly in no rush for him to get back to their program since she broke a rating record yesterday. He tells her that he will be back later this week. She thinks he shouldn't rush just having his heart operated on. He finally asks her if she is bothered by the fact that he is returning to his own program. She answers of course not!. She is only worried about his health. He invites her into bed with him. He puts his arms around her and kisses her shoulder. He has a message for her. She needs to be careful. Her true nature is starting to show and she has no idea what it is like to be on his bad side.

34. Eva is "all dolled up" and informs her housemates that she is going out to visit a sick friend. it is all about solidarity. She suggests that Alicia think about that in relationship to her own husband. Alicia , Fedora and Rebeca decide to all follow her. They see she waist pawnshop but the personnel will not give Alicia any information.

35. Eva is ensconced at the casino sitting at her machine with her babushka on her head and sunglasses on her face in her full disguise. She is upset she has lost again and vociferously complains. The attendant tells her to quiet it down or they will throw her
out. Alicia and her friends have been searching for her up and down the aisles. They finally find her when Eva wins and is singing and cheering at her machine still drawing attention to herself. Eva is shocked when she sees she has been found out.

36. Martín shows up at Marcela's looking for Toro.

37. Mujica must have given in because Yuri is getting ten minutes alone with Cholo in his cell. She tells him she has something important tell him. He can't be bothered and just wants her to leave him alone. She finally tells him she is pregnant. Cholo says now her marriage to Moisés makes sense. She tells him the baby is not Moisés', it is his.

I apologize for any typos. It was one of those days where my computer and blogger were not cooperating and I basically had to write this thing twice. That was too bad, because I really enjoyed the episode.

Jarifa, an incredibly detailed, well written recap. Delicious observations laced throughout, spicy and enticing with your always wise and witty perception.

‘beca’s got a gun! Unexpected and for a split second heart stopping. So, why is it that when someone SHOULD pull the trigger, they don’t? ☹

By his pained looks, it is obvious that Sergio is beginning to detest Julieta. Even if she is ignoring what he says how can she be so oblivious to his facial expressions, clearly mirroring his disgust?

So Moises wants the wedding the day before Cholo is “released”? We know he has no intention of releasing Cholo. Slime.

Karina, the crackerjack policewoman letting her suspect go? Never! “lame” is right Jarifa! Epic writing failure (one of the very few).

The most disturbing scene of the night was Luna, the sweetest, kindest child, seemingly in shock, the light extinguished from her eyes due to Toro’s cruelty and threats.

Eva, the jig is up! I loved that the three amigas unmasked her together.

Even Facundo doesn’t want Martin with Alicia!

Finally (and with a great deal of prodding and goading) Yuri tells Cholo the truth. I am sure he will be thrilled. Of course viewerville will be happy once he is cleared. Provided Martin doesn’t muck it up of course.

Why on earth is Martin at Toro’s??? Is he going to blow everything?? SO like him, just forging ahead. Sigh.

Jarifa, so sorry you had to write this twice and that you had difficulty with Blogger. I’ve been following all day – this was simply outstanding. Thank you!

Jarifa, Thank you for your hard work! So sorry you had to do it twice! But you captured every bit of this so perfectly!

I knew the second Karina looked away from Trompeta he was going to escape! I was literally screaming at the screen don’t look away!!! But I can imagine it would be easier said than done when a kid is hit by a car and killed right in front of you. I can actually forgive this more easily than her seeing the video of Simon being shot in cold blood and the killer clearly identified and saying 'I don't know how much I can help' WHAT!!! She is smart enough to know dozens of ways to get around Mujica. This isn't some vague tip or theory it's the trump card!

Speaking of, I was struck by the scene of Karina and Gutierrez in the market prior to they locating the bad guys. Gutierrez was almost chatty in that dialog whereas he rarely says more than a sentence or two. It's probably a weirdo observation but it struck me because I have a very dear friend who is a very reserved person as Gutierrez seems to be and as a rule, he listens way more than he ever talks but every once in a while he'll be in the mood and then he's chatty Kathy! And it's always so funny to see, like 'where did you come from?'

Miranda continues to shine in standing up for herself and influencing change. She has earned her win and it’s so nice to see her express herself so well. It looks like Adriana is ready to follow her lead! Yes!

If Eva says ‘Tu Marido’ to Alicia one more time I am going to lose my mind! With any luck she will be too distracted by the revelation of her gambling and stealing to utter those damn words. It was bittersweet to see Alicia, Fedora, and Rebeca set off on what may very well be one of the last great adventures of the three grand amigas! But they found the pawnshop AND the casino! Can’t wait to how Eva tries to wiggle out of this!

Mujica is despicable but also very astute I could swear with the look he gave Yuri when she was begging to see Cholo that he guessed exactly why she was there. I like this actor, he plays the part well he's creepy when he's creepy but he is more than one note. The other day, when he was walking through the station ordering everyone to get to work cuz he had things to do even if they didn't I actually laughed.

Diana, I was also disturbed by Luna in that scene. I don't know if it was just the inexperience of a young actress or the intention of the production but the look on her face, it almost seemed like she was disassociating or going into a trance! It makes you wonder what all this little girl has lived through and seen in her young life! And then later hearing her father tell her mother that if she left him he would kill her kids!!! Beyond horrible, no child should hear that!

I too think it's a mistake for Martin to go to Toro's! You can not convince me that these fully intelligent, professional JOURNALISTS can't think of another way to use that video to bring Toro down! Although if something innocuous happens with the confrontation and Martin gets a chance to talk to Marcela alone, I’m guessing she would jump at the chance to help them with the plan to put her husband away for life!

Cholo was heartbreaking in this scene. Alex Perea’s performance was spot on! I felt so bad for him but now he knows he’s going to be a daddy and what I most hope to see is Karina walk in while Yuri is still there and give them both the news that they have found the video that proves that Cholo did not kill Simon!! Time to put an end to the fake wedding and send Moises straight to hell! Although I am doubting it will happen since apparently, she can't imagine what she could do to help under the circumstances.....

“beca’s got a gun” made me laugh. but I enjoyed it so much.

Anyway, the three amigas going out after Eva was a hoot. I loved that Rebeca wasn’t going to be the one left behind.

Yes, I agree that Karina flubbing the Toro arrest has been the ONLY really lame turn of plot I can think of but it really was so stupid I couldn’t believe what I was watching and had to rewind amd watch again.

I also agree that the scene with Luna hearing that her own father would not have a problem killing her and her brother was chilling and also tragic because she will never be able to “unhear” what she did hear. She matters not.

At least Sergio gave Julieta a warning about what could happen. They so deserve each other.

Things are lining up very well for hopefully satisfying plot resolutions. 🥳

Karina blew it, but I guess the writers want to put a chase scene in it and Mujica to have an excuse to harass Karina again in order for him to get caught.

Martin was an idiot for going to Toro's house. This was ridiculously foolhardy.

Toro's threat to kill the kids was beyond disgusting.

The pawn broker had SerJerk's stolen trophy in the window and Alicia saw it.

Eva is finally busted. It should be amusing to hear her try to get out of this. I hope Alicia confiscates her winnings and whatever other cash Eva is holding and threatens to turn her in. That must be followed up by getting her banned from all casinos within reach. The question is whether Fedora wants to turn her in for stealing the necklace and wether that is OK with Alicia. I would turn her in myself in her place.

It is always interesting to watch the fashions in this show . Jul wears a kind of uniform every day... A short, tight cocktail dress in a solid color with spike heels. The three amigas have very different styles . Rebecca wears blouses and cardigans . Alicia's style is elegant with solid colors. Fedora was wearing a weird outfit for hanging out with friends at home . ?????

Eva's outfits have seemed to get more and more bizarre as she loses more and more money. A few episodes ago , she looked like she was wearing those drapes that Scarlett Ohara had made into a dress. Then on Thursday she had Barney purple on , and last night she was decked all in green like a Christmas tree. Can't wait to see what she does now that the three amigas have caught her red handed at the slot machine . uh oh How will she wiggle out of this one ?

Yuri is so dim . yawn . Is the actress just going through the motions or is the character written that way ?

Why is Martin going to Toro's place ? Does he expect him to confess?

We knew that Jul was going to hand Serg's care and feeding over to poor, long suffering Yaya. I need Jul to get a wake up call anvil . You are not queen of the universe, girl. I hope she gets a taste of what Serg threw at Alicia when she wouldn't bend to his demands .

Darcy, I think the actress playing Luna purposefully did the above scene as though she was thunderstruck. Smiling and optimistic, she had learned to rise above, to have hope...and with these beyond harsh scenes, blistering reality set in. I can only imagine that you go numb or go under.

Steve, I think Mabe was smiling. Not in a laughing at your pain type of way though, I think she was happy because they FINALLY had the evidence to prove who did it. Martin was too affected to be happy of course, but Mabe was happy that they found what they were looking for. A lot of people (unrelated to the actual crime) would smile in a moment like that.

I was expecting more of a reaction from Alicia when Fedroa showed her the video of Eva stealing the money, but I suppose Alicia is emotionally exhausted. And just a slight clarification, the second time Alicia looked at a video, she was using a laptop and watching "live" as Eva opened a small jewelery box and took a small piece of jewelry..that must have been what she pawned when the three amigas followed her. I Really have to admire Alicia right now for keeping it togather rather than sit and pull her hair out.

I too thought it was a writer's blunder to have Karina be distracted enough to let El Trompeta go. It would have been more interesting to have Trumpet caught so that Toro can try to have him killed or to catch Mujica coerce him while being secretly videotaped. But what do I know? Maybe the writer's have something juicer in store for Mujica and Toro.

I still can't stand to watch Sergio but he was stellar when he told Julieta that Alicia would never threaten to kill her and, when in bed, he told her that "Her true nature is starting to show and she has no idea what it is like to be on his bad side." Those types of scenes I can tolerate :-)

Darcy, I feel your frustration with Karina and her statement that 'I don't know how much I can help'. I yelled out the same, "WHAT?!" Yes, she is smart, bu then so is Martin and Facundo. I have no idea what plan they came up with to catch Toro...maybe Martin is going to be the bait to try to bring out Toro, but surely there has to be a better way. Facundo and Karina must know detectives in Internal Affairs or some other department who can be trusted. Even Mabel, as the owner of a news magazine, should have connections...as well as Martin who has been a reporter for what seems a long time.

I really hope we get a good, realistic ending to Toro and Mujica...please writers, don't get cray cray on us.

I'm anxious to see Cholo's reaction; does Yuri expect him to trust her just because she is pregnant? He won't (or he shouldn't) unless she explains the real reason why she agreed to marry Moises.

Urban, I would definitely file charges agains Eva. Above all, justice needs to be served and she might also benefit if forced into a treatment program.

Darcy, the "tu marido" line grates on me, too. It also grates on me because he is no longer Alicia's husband no matter how much Eva wants that to be true. It also annoys me when Julieta refers to Sergio as her husband when they are not married yet.

Susanlynn, you and me both wondering why Martín would be going to Toro's house. What is he planning on sayig to him? I hope it isn't anything stupid which it could be. Yes, Eva was very "Christmas tree like" in her latest outfit.

RgvChick, I sure hope they have something juicier for Toro and Mujica in store but also realistic as you stated. Toro could have easily escaped in tonight's episode but not in the way he did.
