I'll post my personal thoughts on the Gran Final tomorrow morning.

ECDLP #122 GRAN FINAL

I’m about to get started on the recap. I hope to have all the parts up by 9:30pm Eastern tonight. If not it’s likely the final part (likely labeled as PART THREE will be posted a little after OR tomorrow morning.
 

ECDLP #122 GRAN FINAL

PSRT ONE

- Rodrigo asks Daniela why she called him days before. Daniela tells him that she’s pregnant and had considered abortion but changed her mind. She doesn’t expect anything from him but he tells her that while they don’t know each other well as he had said previously he does wish to be close to her.

- Marcelo returns home to the city. Milagros thanks him for coming. Rafaela asks about Nora. He tells them that Nora committed suicide just like Federico and Rebeca is suffering just as Milagros still is. Milagros tells Marcelo to take Federico’s ashes and spread them the way he thinks Federico would’ve wanted.

- Lucia is sitting on the floor against Rebeca’s bed in silence and shock with tears rolling down her face when Teresa walks in. Lucia starts sobbing uncontrollably as Teresa manages to get Lucia up and walks her out of the room. Teresa calls Magdalena to tell her about Rebeca. Magdalena hangs up in shock and can only say “Rebeca” when Mario asks her what’s wrong.

- Brigida cries as she tells Rodrigo that Amador was taken to prison from the county jail. Rodrigo says it would’ve happened sooner or later and they can’t do anything to stop it. Brigida says she doesn’t want to abandon Amador.

- Amador is taken into a cell block and his cellmate is none other than Vinicio. Vini calls him “boss” but then says things in there will be different between them.

- Magdalena and Mario arrive at Casa Gaxiola. Lucia is sitting on the floor outside Rebeca’s bedroom. Magdalena hugs Lucia tight and says that she is sorry that Lucia has had to go through this. Mario goes into Rebeca’s bedroom and sighs upon seeing her dead body. Lucia begs Magdalena to get her out of there and says the house is cursed. BRIEF CUT SCENE: Mario calls Marcelo to give him the news about Rebeca.

TIME SKIP…ONE MONTH LATER…

- PARTIALLY CUT SCENE: Nazario has gone to Mario and Magdalena’s house to see Lucia to wish her a happy birthday. Mario tells him that Lucia and Magdalena are at the cemetery as it’s the one month anniversary of Rebeca’s and Nora’s deaths and Nazario adds that it’s 25 years since Adriana’s death. Mario asks Nazario about Marcelo and Nazario says he saw Marcelo a few days before as he went to the city to return Marcelo’s gun to him. Mario asks if Lucia knows this and Nazario says no, any mention of Marcelo upsets Lucia. Mario cryptically says that someone was there a little while ago who could change things between Lucia and Marcelo.

- Lucia and Magdalena are at Adriana and Alonso’s grave. Lucia says it’s the saddest birthday she’s ever had: she no longer has her father or her sister. Magdalena asks if she’s heard anything about Marcelo and Lucia shakes her head no. Magdalena thinks Lucia should call him. She understands that Lucia and Marcelo were affected by everything that happened the previous month but she thinks they can now see things differently. Lucia says no. Magdalena notes that Rebeca is getting what she always wanted which was to separate Lucia from Marcelo. Lucia says she knows and Marcelo knows too. They start walking to Nora’s grave when they see Milagros near the entrance of the cemetery. Magdalena leaves Lucia and Milagros alone to talk. Milagros says she has a very important question to ask Lucia.

- Sergio proposes to Leti and she happily accepts.

- Marcelo is out on a boat in the middle of the ocean spreading Federico’s ashes. He throws his father's gun into the sea. As he heads back to the dock he sees Lucia standing there waiting for him, dressed in white. He asks her how she knew he was there. She tells him that Milagros told her that he came to the ocean to spread Federico’s ashes and she just knew it’d be there at that place (where they previously had their romantic getaway). Marcelo steps towards Lucia and they kiss.

PART TWO

- Marcelo is at the factory giving Normita instructions about a contract and other things to handle while he’s away (on his honeymoon)

- At Magdalena’s house Lucia is packing clothes when Teresa tells her that Roman is there to see her. Lucia rushes downstairs. She’s glad to see Roman saying he disappeared on them. He tells her that he had wanted to visit her but had felt guilty and ashamed after Nora’s death. He feels as though he failed Nora by not being able to help her. Lucia says that a lot of people felt responsible but Nora made the decision and nobody could’ve helped her. Roman changes the subject saying that he came to congratulate her. They hug.

- Mario and Magdalena are at an orphanage waiting when a nun brings out a baby boy. Magdalena holds the baby as the nun asks what they’ll name him. Magdalena says his name will be Mario just like his dad.

- CUT SCENE: Marcelo and Rodrigo meet at a restaurant. Rodrigo had called him. Rodrigo tells him that before Amador was arrested he gave the shares of the factory to Brigida and now Brigida and Rodrigo don’t want them anymore so they decided to give them to Marcelo. Marcelo is surprised but accepts. Rodrigo says they’ll discuss the price at a later date. Marcelo extends an invitation to Rodrigo to attend his and Lucia’s wedding but Rodrigo declines saying he has business in the city and that he doesn’t think Lucia would want him there.

- PARTIALLY CUT SCENE: Brigida is visiting Amador in the prison. He asks her why Rodrigo didn’t come and she tells him that he had to go see someone. She confesses that she and Rodrigo are having money problems so they have decided to sell their share of the factory. Amador asks who they are selling it to and Brigida says to Marcelo. Amador asks if she is joking and she says no since Marcelo is about to marry Lucia and Lucia is the sole heir to the business it makes sense that Marcelo receives the shares. Amador starts laughing uncontrollably as he gets up and walks out of the visiting room while Brigida stares after him in shock.

- Magdalena and Mario introduce their adopted son to Lucia. They all fawn over the baby.

- CUT SCENE: Magdalena is helping Lucia get ready and dressed for the wedding. Lucia wears the cross necklace as a way to feel Alonso and Adriana’s presence with her. Lucia admits that she is thinking of Nora. Mags tells her not to let Nora’s death affect her today. Lucia thanks Magdalena for taking care of her. Magdalena sees plot earring in Lucia’s jewelry box and asks her about it. Lucia says it was Rebeca’s but doesn’t tell Magdalena why she had it and instead tosses it in the trash.

- Marcelo thanks Milagros for speaking to Lucia and asks her why she did it. Milagros says she understood that Marcelo was only going to be happy with Lucia. They hug.

- Rodrigo and Brigida are at a restaurant dining with Daniela and Alfredo. Brigida gives Daniela a baby gift. Daniela thanks her. Alfredo offers Rodrigo a job as general manager of his businesses. Rodrigo tries to turn down the offer but Brigida tells him it’s a good opportunity and Alfredo tells him that he wants him and Daniela to formalize their relationship so that his grandchild will have a stable upbringing. Daniela also tells him to think about it.
 

ECDLP #122 GRAN FINAL

PART THREE

- Everyone is gathered outside of the church waiting for the bride and groom to arrive. Sergio and Leti talk about Rodrigo and Daniela. Gloria sees Roman and asks them (S&L) who he is and Leti tells her that he was Nora’s psychiatrist. Gloria says she needs therapy and starts to go after Roman but Leti pulls her back. Magdalena and Mario introduce their son to Sara. Magdalena then hands the baby off to Teresa to watch over during the ceremony. Gloria pretends to trip falling right into Roman’s arms. They introduce themselves before Leti pulls Gloria with her to greet Lucia as the bridal car arrives. Lucia walks into her the courtyard of the church escorted by Nazario.

- The ceremony begins as Leti, Sara, Milagros, Magdalena and Mario walk in before Nazario and Lucia make their way down the aisle towards Marcelo. Padre Samuel welcomes everyone and begins the mass. The rings are exchanged and as the ceremony continues a voiceover of Nazario recites a blessing.

- The ceremony concludes and Marcelo and Lucia share their first kiss as husband and wife while everyone claps and cheers. Lucia tosses the bouquet which is caught by Normita.

- Lucia and Marcelo enjoy their honeymoon on the beach.

- Ominous music plays as we first see the outside of Casa Gaxiola. The shot changes showing inside the mansion where all of the furniture is covered in white sheets and a breeze has opened a window and is blowing on the curtains and sheets. The ghosts of Rebeca and Nora wander aimlessly through the house. We see a picture frame of Alonso, Rebeca and Nora.

- Lucia is standing outside the gate of the mansion staring through the bars sadly and pensively. Then suddenly the sun shines through and Lucia smiles as she walks away and we see a For Sale sign on the gate.

- Lucia walks through town until she meets up with Marcelo in the plaza and they walk to the fountain and kiss.

FIN/THE END

 

ECDLP Finale

I wonder whether the earring was still in the wastebasket. I hope the realtor who would list this place knows a good exorcist. Otherwise, such a beautiful mansion going to waste.

Finally, I think that was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen.

UA: I'm going to assume that Rebeca was likely cremated since Magdalena & Lucia put flowers at the graves of Adriana, Alonso & Nora.

"ECDLP" Episode 121/Gran Final:

TF: Thank you very much for your detailed recaps. It's great to watch this Telenovela once again. My personal thoughts (Part I):
1.) Once again we see Rebeca opening her mouth wide open as she put the gun into her mouth pulling the trigger in front of a traumatized Lucia.

2.) Then we hear Lucia screaming "NO" as the zoom-out of the Gaxiola Mansion ensues.

3.) Daniela & Rodrigo appear more likely to get together for the sake of the baby she's expecting. While that's going on, Marcelo takes Federico's ashes to scatter somewhere after speaking with his mother, Milagros & Rafaela.

4.) Meanwhile back at the Gaxiola Mansion: we see a traumatized Lucia sitting there inside Rebeca's room seeing the Bec-ista DEAD with blood coming out of her mouth, brains splattering all over the doors, floor, etc.,

5.) Teresa walks inside.... to see the HORRIFIC sight of seeing the Bec-ista dead. Despite seeing the horrific sight of a dead Bec-ista, Teresa manages to help Lucia get up from the floor, walking out of the room.

6.) Soon afterwards, Magdalena gets the awful news from Teresa informing her that the Bec-ista killed herself; The look on Magdalena's face when she drops the phone, only saying "Rebeca" when telling Mario what happened.

7.) Brigida is STUPID standing by her psycho husband Amador; Rodrigo's like "MOVE ON ALREADY".

8.) Speaking of Crazy Amador: we see him getting placed into the maximum prison, where his cellmate is none other than.....Vinicio, who informs Crazy Amador that things are going to be very different & safe to assume Vinicio will the "Boss" LOL.

9.) Back at Gaxiola Mansion: Mario & Magdalena arrive; we see Magdalena hugging & comforting Lucia, who begs her aunt to get her out of this cursed house ASAP. Mario walks into Rebeca's room & sees the dead body of the Bec-ista & just sighs.

10.) Over at the cemetery: we see Magdalena & Lucia putting flowers on the graves of Alonso & Adriana; Magdalena walks to put flowers on Nora's grave. I strongly believe it's safe to assume Rebeca was cremated in all likelihood.

11.) Sergio proposes marriage to Leti, who happily accepts: AHHHH; while that's going on, we see Marcelo in the ocean somewhere scattering Federico's ashes & also throwing the gun into the ocean as well.

12.) Lucia & Marcelo kiss at the dock. Part II of my personal thoughts on the Gran Final will come later this afternoon.
 

ECDLP Gran Final

I think there were probably a couple more cut scenes but I kept in the ones I felt were important after reading through the original ECDLP finale recap from a few years ago.

Bummer that so much tragedy happened in such a nice mansion, for sure.

That ghost scene at the end was still my favorite.
 

"ECDLP" Episode 121/Gran Final
My personal thoughts on yesterday's Gran Final (Part II)
13.) TF: I noticed several scenes were cut (I guess Univision had a habit of cutting out the good stuff).

14.) Several weeks or months later, we see Marcelo finishing up last-minute work at the office & giving Normita detailed final instructions (turns out she's going to approve the contracts while Marcelo & Lucia are on their honeymoon).

15.) Since Nazario & Lalo are working at the Gaxiola family business: it's safe to say Lucia is the boss now (she'll need all of the help she can get considering what she's been going through her life).

16.) Lucia is at Magdalena & Mario's house (must be big enough for everyone to move in & live there LOL) packing for the upcoming honeymoon; we see Dr. Roman Andrade (the dude who dated Nora & was a DISASTER of a psychiatrist).... Blah-blah about friendship, etc.,

17.) Over at the orphanage: We see Magdalena & Mario adopting a healthy baby boy, whose named Mario: AWWWW.

18.) Meanwhile over in Puebla's fancy restaurants: we see the formerly rivals Marcelo & Rodrigo meeting face-to-face, where Rodrigo offered his mother's shares in the fabrica. Marcelo accepts & Rodrigo will discuss plans to sell those shares down the road; Marcelo extends an invitation to Rodrigo in attending Marcelo & Lucia's wedding, which Rodrigo rightfully turns down.

19.) Over at the prison: Gullible Brigida tells Crazy Amador that she & Rodrigo have sold their shares in Talavera Gaxiola & selling them to Marcelo, which the bruised & battered ego of Crazy Amador couldn't handle (Go away you crazy nutjob). The look of Gullible Brigida's face says it all: her nutty husband has lost his marbles BIGLY.

20.) Over at M&M's crib: Lucia, Magdalena & Mario all eye-googling at Baby Mario.

21.) While Magdalena helps Lucia getting ready for the wedding, we see the plot earring of the late Bec-ista (UH-OH); but Lucia throws the earring into the trash HORRAY; we see Lucia still wearing the necklace of her late mother, Adriana (AWWW). The late Adriana & Alonso Gaxiola would both be so proud & happy for their daughter.

22.) Over at the Nazario Mansion: Clingy Milagros promises Marcelo that she'll be a better grandmother when the grandkids arrive (RUN LITTLE KIDS RUN).

23.) In the meantime in Mexico City: we see Rodrigo & Daniela, Alfredo & Brigida having dinner at one of those fancy buji restaurants; Daniela is glowing AWWW SO SWEET. It's also looking likely Rodrigo will cave into the demands of his future father-in-law on working with him at one of the businesses.

24.) Nazario walks Lucia down the aisle; the wedding dress of Lucia is so AWEWSOME. We get to see a beautiful wedding ceremony for Lucia & Marcelo; Lucia tosses the bouquet which Normita catches it & it's safe to say that Nazario & Normita will be getting married soon; Marcelo & Lucia enjoy their honeymoon which is fun.

25.) Over at the ghostly Gaxiola Mansion: we have to endure one more final HAUNTING scary moment from the Bec-ista & Nora wandering all over the mansion; Lucia stands outside of the cursed mansion looking sad before the sun shines through the clouds, which Lucia smiles finally & walks through the middle of downtown Puebla, where she & Marcelo kiss in front of the church plaza.
