Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #73
Part 1 of 6

A very handsome man responds to the knock on the door. Yes? Reyyan launches right in apologizing for the late hour, but they are looking for the metalwork Master Gabriel, they were told he lived in the house. Yes, says the man, he is my father, but he is already asleep. Why are you looking for him? Reyyan says, there is a ring that we have, it is very important to us. We need to verify that he made it. The man says, he is on very heavy medication and is asleep, come back in the morning. Miran thanks the son, says they will be back in the morning and pulls Reyyan away from the door. She is clearly disappointed.

Miran tells her, let’s find a place to spend the night. Don’t be stubborn, we will return first thing in the morning. Reyyan tells him to leave, but she plans on staying there all night to wait because she doesn’t want to miss the opportunity to see the Master if he awakes up early. You go and come back in the morning. Miran says, you know that I won’t leave you here alone Reyyan, why are you so stubborn? (Yes, Reyyan, for once I agree with Miran). They go and sit in the car.

What happens next? says Miran. You mean after I clear up your grandmother’s slander? She snarks back. No, says Miran, I am not talking about my grandmother, I am talking about us. Reyyan responds, we will wait to speak to Master Gabriel in the morning and you will learn how you have been tricked and lied to all these years. We will then travel in the car for the last time together and it will be the last time you and I will be together. Miran is stunned by the finality of her response. It is that easy for you Reyyan? Does it make any sense that I am even here with you right now? Easy? says Reyyan, none of this is easy, but before I was your wife, I was my father’s daughter (well, not really Reyyan) he has always supported me, even us. If you would have listened and gone beyond what you were taught and told…Miran interrupts her, getting angry. What about you Reyyan? Have you gone beyond what you were taught and told? Have you once ever thought that “my father and my family might be lying?”

My father has never done anything to betray us, Miran. (Miran and Viewerville snort at the comment) Unlike your grandmother, she continues. Frustrated, Miran gets out of the car. Reyyan follows, saying, I don’t want us to fight Miran. I told you before, if you don’t want to do this or stay with me, you don’t have to. Just go. A sad Miran says, I can’t believe it is so easy for you to say these things to me Reyyan. How can you just say “go” so casually? We are in love. This is love, whether you are angry or hate me, we are still in love with each other. Is it that easy for you to give up? Look, I am here despite everything. Your father’s lies, you ignoring me, I am still here, even with the history of my dead parents, I am here.

Reyyan asks, why are you here? Is it to justify everything or to find the truth? You tell me, Miran responds, why am I here? Reyyan looks away. Ugh, says Miran, it is your silence that hurts me the most. The answer that you can’t give to my question. Because if you can’t answer the question that I am here for love, that is the worst. I love you more than anything. He starts to walk back to the car, but Reyyan spins him around. I love you too, she says, but do you know how hard it is to love someone who tries to kill your father? (Okay both have good points). But I didn’t push your father! shouts Miran. This isn’t about your father; it is about us! Reyyan shouts back, there is no us!

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #73
Part 2 of 6

Gratefully, the son of Master Gabriel opens the door and tells them to shut the heck up! Why are you yelling? If you continue, not only will you wake my father up, but the whole neighborhood! Stop and come inside, you should have said that you didn’t have a place to stay. Both Reyyan and Miran look a little bit ashamed by their lack of consideration for others and they follow the son of Gabriel inside.

Cut to Esma pacing nervously in her bedroom. She wonders if Hazar has read the “Miran is your son” letter. She considers calling him, but then thinks, what if he hasn’t read the letter? Her thoughts are interrupted by Firat who enters the room, startingly her. Are you okay mom? He asks. Yes, I was just deep in thought. Have you heard from Miran? Is he with Reyyan? Any news from the Sadoglu’s? Firat tells her to calm down, he hasn’t heard from Miran or anyone else and she shouldn’t worry about the Sadoglu. Esma tells Firat that she thought a lot about what he said the night before. Yes, the Aslanbey are like family, but he is really her family. She wants him to be happy, get married, have a home and children. Crying, she tells him they should leave and start a life on their own. (Viewerville agrees).

Firat hugs her saying he doesn’t want to see her scared or crying. He knows it is his fault for saying anything. Soon this will all over, he says. Esma tells him she just doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. Always remember that I did my best, son, I did everything I could. Firat hugs his mom.

At Master Gabriel’s home, his son (hopefully he introduces himself soon!) has made tea. He brings it up to a roof top patio where ReyMir are sitting, still looking sheepish. Reyyan apologizes for the shouting. Their host smiles and says he understands, that is love, I recognize it from miles away. ReyMir look at each other. Their host smiles and addressing his comments to Miran, he says, a man will hit the road at night and do whatever it takes, piercing the sky with his voice. Connecting with Miran with his “man speak,” and after hearing Reyyan sigh, their host tells her that he always says what he thinks, he means no harm, even if she doesn’t like it. My heart and tongue are one, he says. (I like this guy!).

Miran responds, sometimes the heart speaks a different language, right Reyyan? Reyyan looks at him and ever so slightly rolls her eyes. Their host again smiles and says, you are right, when I look in your eyes, I can see the love in your heart. Own your love, don’t break the heart with your tongue. The camera pans around Reyyan and Miran, who glance uncomfortably at each other. The sage comments have hit the mark.

The camera pans around again as their host comes back up to the patio and tells ReyMir that he has prepared a bed for them. ReyMir both say, no, we will stay here on the patio. Again, their host smiles and says, get up, let’s go. When the two hesitate, he says, come on, a bit more sternly. As ReyMir stand to follow their host, we see that someone in a hoodie is watching them from vantage point in the village. (I think it is one of the Reyyan’s kidnappers, they were also dressed in hoodies).

Their host has prepared a bedroom for ReyMir, he apologizes for not being prepared and the humble accommodations, but they rarely have guests. ReyMir are gracious, thanking him for the effort. Ever the apparent the philosopher of love, who notices the continued distance between the two, he asks rhetorically, do you know what happens when you don’t fight for your love? You end up alone like me. It is okay to shout and get things out of your system, but when you close your eyes and go to bed, don’t be angry with each other.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #73
Part 3 of 6

He glances over at a picture of a young couple on the wall, saying, every second you waste fighting and not loving, is time you can never get back, then it is too late. Now, sleep if your fight is over. He smiles and wishes them good night. ReyMir take off their jackets. Reyyan does not look at all happy with the single bed on the floor. Miran tells her, I told you we should find a place to stay and now here we are, God does not want us to be separated. (Just a quick aside, I noticed for the first time in the dizi, a Christian religious symbol. There is a tapestry on the wall depicting the Last Supper of Jesus).

Grumpy Reyyan isn’t having any of it, saying, how many times do I have to tell you, there is no “us” Miran. No “us” since you decided to continue your revenge and try to kill my father. Miran gets grumpy too saying, stop Reyyan, why are your words so angry? You are angry with me for something I did not do. If I had done this to your father, would I be able to come with you so willingly? Could I look into your eyes that easily? Would you have loved a man like that? Reyyan responds, you never know what is in a person’s heart, I thought I knew your heart Miran, but I was wrong. You are not wrong, he says, you may not know my heart, but I know yours. I see the doubt in yours, deep down, you are saying to yourself that you know I did not do this to your father. (Saturday night Anonymous at 10:03 pm, feel free to FF>> through this part. You have heard it before. 😊)

How do you know that? she snaps. Because, he responds, if you didn’t have that doubt, you would not be here with me right now. You wouldn’t stay in the same city with me, you wouldn’t even be able to breath the same air that I breath. He moves closer to her. Only time will help you drown out the noise and listen to what your heart is telling you, that voice gets louder every day. Your heart will shout to you every day that I am innocent. You may doubt me, but I don’t doubt the justice of your heart or our love.

Interesting, says Reyyan, my father has said the same things because he is innocent too, but you didn’t listen, you didn’t believe. Well Reyyan, says Miran, I am tired of trying to defend myself to you. Whatever I say is useless until we hear the truth in the morning. Get some sleep. You go to bed, she says. I only came in here because the man made the effort, I will not sleep. More fighting about who will sleep where, finally Reyyan does use the floor bed and goes to sleep. She wakes to find Miran on the floor, near the sleeping mattress. She gets up and tucks a blanket around him saying, I wish I could believe you, because I love you. She goes back to her side of the bed.

Elif is trying to decide if she should call Reyyan, she does, but ends the call immediately, crying. She calls Azat instead. She says she has something to tell him, but then backs out and just asks how Reyyan is doing. She is a mess, says Azat, but she is set on finding out the truth about her father so the Aslanbey will stop with this revenge. Why don’t you call her yourself and ask her? Because I can’t, says, Elif. I know Miran is innocent but I can’t face Reyyan. She tells Azat thanks for listening and hangs up. He is left confused by the conversation and clearly concerned about her. Elif says to herself, you won’t forgive me either.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #73
Part 4 of 6

It is finally morning. The guilty looking Zehra is giving Hazar his mediation. He tells her it is obvious that she wants to say something, tell me what is wrong? She says, it is about the lost letter. She wonders if there might be another letter? (yes, it is in your sweater pocket). Why do you ask? says Hazar. Well, she says, maybe Dilsah wrote other letters. She did, he confirms, I used to have those letters, but the konak was robbed one night way before I met you and my briefcase with those letters and some money were stolen. Other valuables in the mansion were stolen as well. We looked everywhere for the culprit (this has Azize written all over it) but never found anything. If I had just one of those letters, all this would end. Unfortunately, dumb dumb Zehra doesn’t give him the letter in her pocket.

We cut to Azize in her room, holding a stack of Dilsah letters. She says, so Dilsah, you wrote another letter to Hazar that I was not aware of. Who would you have entrusted that to? It cannot be Esma, if it was, I would know. (Not so fast missy, Esma has one upped you here). She pulls out the blue notes and wonders if the author might be behind all of this. If so, why? Are you just messing with me or are you trying to turn Miran against me? (My guess is that it’s both). Taking the stack of letters back to the deepest recesses in her cedar chest of lies and horrors, she says, don’t worry Dilsah, I will make sure these letters are delivered, not to Hazar, but to Miran, after my revenge and after Miran kills his own father.

Back to the sleeping ReyMir. It is morning and the roosters are crowing. Miran awakes up with Reyyan curled up next to him. He silently wishes the roosters would hush up so he can enjoy the time next to Reyyan. She of course wakes up and jumps out of bed apologizing for snuggling. Don’t ever apologize for sleeping near me. He laughs and says, now I know why I slept so well, it’s because you were with me, your skin touching mine (and in a bed!). Reyyan chastises him for laughing. He asks if she is hungry, there was a place down the road that served breakfast.

On their way down the stairs, they are greeted by the kind, smiling host who already has breakfast prepared and will not take no for an answer. (Another recapper aside here, our host is wearing a Christian cross on his neck, I find this interesting and this actor, very handsome). Back up on the patio, he serves tea and asks if it was the noisy roosters who woke them up? He smiles as Reyyan sets the table for Miran.

We hear a man’s voice yell for “Philip.” Immediately, the expression on the host, Philip, changes. He tells ReyMir that his father is awake and can be a bit grumpy in the morning. He heads down to check on him. Reyyan wonders if something might be wrong. Miran says, he is an older man and might need some help. They have waited this long; they can wait a bit longer.

Suddenly we are in a dream, where Mehmet is pointing a gun at him and Dilsah is begging him not to shoot. Hazar wakes from the nightmare as Nasuh enters his room and tries to comfort him. Hazar shares the content of the dream and Nasuh immediately looks concerned, but tells Hazar it is all the lies Miran and Azize have put in his head. Hazar says that it seemed very real. Zehra enters with breakfast, Nasuh leaves, but thinks, Hazar is starting to remember! What if he remembers what happened that night? Hazar tells Zehra about the dream. He mentions Mehmet, Miran’s father. Zehra looks even more guilty. Hazar says that his conscience is torturing him and he wishes he hadn’t listened to her and lied to Reyyan.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #73
Part 5 of 6

Back at Master Gabriel’s house, Reyyan is getting more nervous. Miran tells her to calm down. She says, I can’t calm down. The truth is finally going to come to the light. All the lies your grandmother has told. My father is innocent. Miran looks uncomfortable as he remembers the day HAG gave him that ring and told him the horror story of his mother’s rape by Hazar. Finally, an unsmiling Philip tells them that his father can see them for a few minutes, they are to ask their one question and then leave. He turns back down stairs. Miran immediately notices the change. He tells Reyyan, it seems like one man went down the stairs and another one come back up. She just wants to talk to the Master and leave.

Entering Master Gabriel’s bedroom, Reyyan kneels at his bedside. The Master is old, but lucid. She introduces herself and asks if he can identify the ring she pulls from her pocket. He says that a lot of work went into making that ring and he did make it. He shows Reyyan his signature “G” engraved inside the ring. Miran looks sick and Reyyan excited. She says, see Miran, how would my father have known Master Gabriel made this ring if he didn’t have it made? When we hear the answer, now we will both believe the same the truth right?

Miran has a bit of a panic attack and leaves the room, heading outside. Reyyan follows him, Miran, she calls, don’t you want to hear the truth? He tells her that she was the one who wants to hear the truth, she can ask and whatever she learns she can tell him. He will believe whatever she tells him, it will be his truth. With a close up shot at both of their eyes, Reyyan thinks, you want this to be over but are afraid to hear the truth. Miran thinks, I just want to take you far away from here, away from everything. I can’t give up my revenge and you can’t give up your father. Is another life possible for us? Go, Reyyan, he says out loud, ask your question and find the truth. He heads to the car.

Reyyan goes back inside and apologizes. She asks the Master who contracted him to make the ring. Looking over her head to Philip, Master Gabriel says that Mehmet Aslanbey had him make the ring for his bride before the wedding. He also ordered a ring with a lion head. Philip looks as guilty as Zehra. Reyyan is stunned, not believing her ears. She begs him to look again. Is he sure? He tells her that he is very sure. She continues to try to get him to say that Hazar Sadoglu contracted him, but the old Master is firm. His long-time clients, the Aslanbey contracted him. Reyyan gets angry and tells him he is lying. She asks if Azize Aslanbey is forcing them to lie? Philip tells her she has to leave, his father isn’t lying, but her father must be lying about the ring.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #73
Part 6 of 6

A devastated Reyyan is forced to head outside and face a very nervous Miran. Miran walks toward her, tell me Reyyan, what did Master Gabriel say? Reyyan hesitates, tell me, I am ready to hear whatever you have to say. Of course, he is relived to hear that it was Mehmet Aslanbey who contracted for the ring. Reyyan says that it is a lie. Miran tells her, so if he said Hazar Sadoglu, it wouldn’t have been a lie? I don’t know why they are lying, but they are, she says, and I am going to find out why! She heads back into the house.

Reyyan confronts the Master again, demanding to know the truth. Philip tells Miran to take his wife and go. Reyyan says, I will go but you will hear what I have to say first. To the Master, she says, I don’t know why you are lying but this lie is destroying the life of an innocent man. To Philip, you are a man longing for the love of his life, making us breakfast with your own hands and then after your father awoke, you are completely different. What happened? Why are you lying? Did someone scare you? Threaten you? Reyyan drops down on her knees in front of Master Gabriel. Please, please tell me the truth. I beg you, just as your son is trying to keep you alive every day, I am also trying to help my father. Philip looks ill with guilt. Tell me please, tell me it was my father, right? With dramatic music, the episode ends.

Hi Nina! Nice to see you back on the patio. We had some good Miran and Reyyan shouting matches the last two episodes! I like Miran too, but he has to give up the revenge thing or it is just not going to work out. I wish Hazar had not lied about Miran pushing him down the stairs. It is going to make it hard for Miran and Reyyan to believe him again. Hope you enjoyed the episode!

Thanks so much, VVS, for another marvellous recap of a somewhat tedious but ultimately surprising episode. Silly me, I actually thought Miran was finally going to learn that it was Hazar who asked Gabriel to make the ring.

I felt much of the episode was basically more of the same from ReyMir. I shudder to think what the Turkish version is like, since presumably Telemundo has cut some of ReyMir's endless bickering. Oh well...

It didn't occur to me that the guy in the hoodie might have been one of Reyyan's kidnappers. We saw that Miran's car was followed on the way to see Gabriel. I assumed that the driver was the person in charge of following Miran wherever he goes and reporting back to Azize, and that he was the guy in the hoodie. OTOH, it's hard to believe that he could have gotten to Gabriel at that point. Whoever got to Gabriel must have done so earlier. We still don't know who Reyyan's kidnappers are, nor what they know, and it's possible that they're the ones who got to Gabriel, but probably not once ReyMir arrived. As you can see, I'm totally mystified.

Thanks for pointing out the unusual Christian references in the episode. I hadn't noticed them, not even the cross Philip was wearing. I DID notice how good-looking he is!

I HATE what the novela is doing to Elif. She was so gutsy at the start, and now she's a pitiful emotional wreck.

I'm not sure what to make of Hazar's nightmare. It shook him profoundly, and Nasuh is worried that Hazar may be remembering what happened in the past. It's possible, I guess, that Mehmet did shoot Hazar in spite of Dilsah's pleas, but that doesn't seem like the sort of thing Nasuh would worry about Hazar's remembering. Is it possible that Hazar managed to get Mehmet's gun and killed him? And then one of Azize's minions (or perhaps HAG herself) shot and killed Dilsah and shot but didn't kill Hazar? Azize could then claim that Hazar killed both Mehmet and Dilsah, and someone then shot Hazar. Or perhaps the person shot Hazar and then took the gun Hazar had used to kill Mehmet and used it to shoot and kill Dilsah?

Questions, questions, questions. Perhaps tonight's episode may shed some light. I hope so.

herc

Hi Juanita, thank you for the excellent comments and terrific questions. I am also mystified by who got to Master Gabriel. My first thought was Nasuh, because he was telling Yusuf that he needed to stop Reyyan from finding out the truth, but I don’t know, it is probably Azize again. Who the hoodie person might be remains a mystery, my guess is they work for the “note master.”

Surprisingly, Telemundo cut none of the ReyMir bickering. I am wondering if all the back and forth might be leading up to something big? Like you, so many questions.

I am fearful for Elif and Azat. Both are nice people. I hope they survive the drama surrounding them. Why everyone is up at 11:37 pm (Elif’s phone said 2337) is beyond me.

Was Hazar’s nightmare an actual memory? Why is Nasuh so afraid of him remembering the truth. Did Nasuh kill Dilsah? I hope you get more info for us tonight Juanita!

"MALVERDE":

Novelera: I see Rafael Amaya of "ESDLC" is on this Telenovela including the SEXY Isabela Castillo.

An outstanding recap, VVS. Great detail and snarky bits. Thanks. This gave me a laugh: “(Saturday night Anonymous at 10:03 pm, feel free to FF>> through this part. You have heard it before. 😊)”

Too bad Telemundo cuts important things like Yaren’s lament or Reyyan catching Miran coming out of the shower, but they keep all of ReyMir’s bickering.

I was surprised but pleased to see the hoodie guy following ReyMir. Tired of the same old venganza stuff. We need this “note master” to come forward and really shake up the storyline.

I think Hazar is remembering what happened. The sooner, the better.

I also think that Azize is stopping Gabriel from telling the truth. Remember, she’s been carefully planning this for 27 years.

There used to be a lot of Syriac Christians (Orthodox and Catholic) in this part of Turkey before the Republic. There aren’t many left.

BTW, the “very handsome” Philip is played by Burak Tamdoğan, who was excellent as Huseyin in KPA.

VVS, thank you for every detail of " The Beautiful Bickersons Go on a Road Trip."

The actor playing Philip plays the brother of the taken in Kara Para Ask. His hair isnt gray in that one , and he plays a very different character.

Is this TN supposed to be several seasons in length and not just one show? There seem to be too many things to wrap in just 3 wks! Would like to see ReyMir happy.

Another stellar recap, VVS! Thanks so very much. You posted all the tedious back and forth between Reyyan and Miran, the same things they've said so many times. I applaud your patience.

So...in Turkey complete strangers invite you in, give you tea and offer you their spare room. IIRC there was breakfast as well.

Like everyone else I am baffled by Gabriel completely contradicting Hazar's account of Dilsuh's ring. And something surely happened because the genial Philip had a personality change overnight.

So I guess we are to assume that Azize orchestrated the break in and theft of Dilsuh's letters from the Sadoglu konak. They did look postmarked. But she had two separate stacks. I suppose we are to believe that there must be no evidence of the affection Dilsuh felt for Hazar for HAG's plans to continue. After all, she was supposed to be raped and subsequently murdered by an obsessed Hazzar.

The only bright spot lately, for me, is Azize's constant re-reading of those mysterious notes. I love to see her suffer!

Things are getting tedious. I think part of what's going on with Zehra is jealousy. Of course she wants her daughter out of the clutches of Azize. But I think she resents the deep love between Hazar and Dilsuh.

I'm getting impatient with so much crap being held back. Not to mention, as Juanita stated, I'm also impatient with Elif continuing to not tell either Miran or Reyyan that she was the one who pushed Hazar down the stairs.

Thank you dondi356, Susanlynn, novelera and welcome SaraAnne!

dondi356: I actually asked my parish Priest about Christians in Turkey. Like you, he mentioned that before the revolution, there were a lot of Catholics. He did laugh at my reason for asking. Thank you for letting me know more about my new telenovio! I will do a look up later!

Susanlynn: " The Beautiful Bickersons Go on a Road Trip." Very clever and funny!

novelera: I agree that those notes are driving Azize a bit nuts. I really am curious about who is behind the notes. We need more reveals and less bickering. Elif needs to buck up and tell the truth already.

SaraAnne: Welcome and thank you for commenting. It does a recapper good to see a new face! I am hoping that Hercai will take another time slot earlier in the day on Telemundo and we can all just record and recap like nothing happened. The other thought tossed around is maybe the show goes on a hiatus and returns at some point in time. I agree that 3 weeks is a very short time to get to the bottom of these mysteries! I hope you stay on with us to see what happens!

Herc

A few random thoughts:

Elif...I too am irritated with the direction the writers have taken this character. What happened to the spunky brave girl. I agree that she should have some concern or feelings for her reflex push of Hazar. But she should be brave enough to tackle head on what she did as oppose to melting into the whimpering shell of a person she used to be. Not feeling this transformation.

Yaren and the letter. Did not see this one coming. Didn't even know she was at the hospital the night the package was left on the bench. I assumed it would be in the possession of someone who already knew of or was told of it's existence....she just happened to grab the clothing...noticed the letter...took it and returned the package... OK...now that we know she has the letter...she knows the the relationship between Hazar and Dislah was legit. What will she do with that info. How can she use it as leverage. And her weak excuse for sabotaging everything Reyan..cry me a river. If she saw Reyen's freedom...she also saw her abuse and constant putdowns. How self absorbed not to have any pity for Reyen. But I agree, Reyan probably resented Yaren's favorite status...but was too nice of a person to take it out of Yaren.

The Spy. At this point, I'm guessing ReyMir has 2 spies.....one from Azzie...and one from who ever is torturing Azzie with those notes. Maybe they get together and car pool sometimes...but surely they've tripped over each other by now.

The Ring. Poor Reyan...once Nasuf became aware of Reyan's quest...I knew he would sabotage her fact finding mission. Too bad the old jeweler was told to lie...or forced to...whatever the case....it is Reyan who has to regroup vs Miran regarding the significance of that ring.

Nasuf/Hazar. I'm siding with whoever said Nasuf is the one behind the killings/fire. Whatever he did...or didn't do cause Hazar to loose his memory would surely put son against father if the truth came it. Nasuf is quivering in his boots at the thought of Hazar regaining his memory. I'm thinking that recent nightmare was a memory.

Redemption. Its too soon to say who will or who deserves redemption because we don't know everyone's role from the past. However what Azzie is doing is cruel and I see no come back for her. She is has weaponized her own grandson/flesh and blood....to go after her targeted enemy. Is her real target Nasuf via Hazar. Perhaps she really knows that Nasuf caused the death of her precious Mehmet and she wants to get at Nasuf via Hazar's death and via Nasuf's grandson Miran. What a twisted mind if this is her aim. But Miran is still her flesh and blood....but as many has said, she doesn't really have love for her family. She only uses them. They all appear to be a means to an end. Except for Elif...but something tells me if she needed to weaponize/use her....she would do so.

Hercai: #74 - p 1 of 3

As the episode begins, Reyyan is pleading with Gabriel to tell her the truth. He rather carefully says, "I'm sorry, I have no other answer to give you." Reyyan again asks, "Why are you lying to me?" She then leaves. She tells Miran, "They're lying. Something has scared them." Miran would like her to accept what Gabriel has said and give up. Reyyan insists she won't give up until she has the truth. She accuses Miran of wanting her to believe the lies his grandmother tells. Miran asks what his grandmother has to do with this. Reyyan replies that Azize is behind everything bad. Reyyan informs him that Ali said Azize planned the shooting up of the car. Miran asks, incredulously, "Do you think my grandmother would put my life in peril?" ("YES!" all Viewerville screams loudly.) Miran is fed up. He gets into the car. Reyyan tells him she'll find the truth without his help. He drives off without her. She starts walking.

The scene shifts back to Gabriel's room. Philip looks angry and unhappy. He says, "They're gone. Now go and leave us in peace." We see that he's addressing Mahmoud, who has clearly done Azize's bidding and threatened them. Mahmoud leaves. We see him walking away from the house. But the plot thickens. Another man is also watching Mahmoud leave. He makes a call to someone and reports "the girl and the guy [clearly ReyMir] were arguing. He drove off and she left on foot." He continues, "Yes, exactly what you told me. Mahmoud, Azize's agent, threatened them." We don't see the speaker's face, and I have no idea who he is. I assume that he's somehow connected with the people who kidnapped Reyyan and sent Azize the notes. I suppose there's an outside chance that the guy is working for Nasuh, but I don't think Nasuh is sufficiently on top of things to have arranged this.

Miran eventually turns the car around to get Reyyan. He tells her he's at his wits end and it won't be long before he's in a mental hospital. They continue in the same vein as before.

The scene shifts briefly to Mahmoud, who calls Azize to report on his mission's success. HAG comments, "I'd love to have been there to see your face, Reyyan."

Miran's car starts to make a noise. He gets out to investigate and sees that he has a flat tire. Reyyan wants to know whether it will take long to fix. "Five minutes, because I'm fixing it" replies Miran. Reyyan said they should call road service. Miran goes about fixing the tire, with Reyyan complaining at everything he's doing. He's doing this wrong, he's doing that wrong, it's taking too long. I found Reyyan so irritating that if I hadn't had to write this recap, I might have thrown something at the TV.

Miraculously, Miran successfully arrives at the Sadoglu konak. Azat comes out. Reyyan asks why he's here. He tells her he was worried about her. It doesn't take long, however, before Azat again accuses Miran of trying to kill Hazar, and if Hazar hadn't forbidden it, Azat would have killed Miran.

Miran drives off, and Reyyan tries to explain to Azat that this revenge won't end until Miran knows the truth. She then explains to Azat what she was trying to accomplish by going with Miran to see Gabriel the jeweler about the ring. Reyyan suggests to Azat that he could try to help bring the truth to light, but instead he just keeps nagging at her. Azat insists he was worried about her, and he tells her "This love (for Miran) will be the end of you. Give it up." She replies, "I won't stop because I love my father." She leaves, but he remembers overhearing the conversation between Zehra and Hazar about Hazar's not being Reyyan's bio father. "If you only knew, Reyyan," he thinks. "Your life would change so much if you knew the truth." [Huh?]

At the Aslanbey mansion, everyone is at the table except Elif. "Is Elif sick?" asks HAG. "Why isn't she here?" Elif then appears, looking very unhappy/angry. "Why that face?" asks HAG. "You all look as if you've come from a funeral. I think Hazar Sadoglu's fall has affected everyone. Elif. Esma. Sultana. You'd think Hazar Sadoglu was a friend of the family. Get over it!" Elif explodes: "I'm sick of this, abuela! Who here has any freedom. You treat us as if you owned us. Don't pretend that we're a happy family, because we're not. A man fell down the stairs into the middle of our patio, covered in blood and almost dead, and no one has compassion for him. If we're like this, it's because of you. You've hurt us all so much." Azize calls her insolent and tells her to sit down and shut her mouth. But Elif isn't through. "I won't be quiet. My biggest fear is to be as cold as you are." HAG replies, "Be careful what you say."

Miran and Firat arrive at the end of Elif's angry remarks. "What's happened?" Miran asks. "Nothing," replies Azize. "It's under control. Elif is exaggerating as she always does." Elif then says, "Miran can't be happy with Reyyan because of you, abuela." Miran asks her to calm down. Elif continues, "You even swallowed your pride so Reyyan wouldn't suffer. You donated your blood to Hazar Sadoglu." That news stuns everyone, especially HAG. "Is it true?" HAG asks him. Miran replies, "It's true. I did it because I didn't want Reyyan to hate me for not saving her father's life." Azize is clearly upset. "What's wrong with you?" she asks Miran. "You gave blood to the man you swore to kill."

It turns out Elif hasn't finished with her accusations. She now tells about the three men who grabbed Sultana and were dragging her away. HAG was waiting for them. "I saw it with my own eyes," Elif declares. Sultana remembers HAG's threats and denies what Elif has reported. When asked whether Elif's account is true, Sultana says, I wouldn't want to say Elif is lying, she may have seen what she says, but it wasn't me." HAG orders Esma to take Elif to her room to get some much needed rest. As she's leaving, Elif declares, "These lies will end, and I'll be the one to end them." Sultana leaves the table, goes to her room, and locks the door. Gonul comes. Sultana unlocks the door and lets her in. Gonul says, "What Elif said is true, isn't it?" Sultana at first denies it, but then she remembers the scene, with horror. Gonul can see from the expression on her face that what Elif said was true. "I'm afraid, Gonul," admits Sultana. She says Azize was furious that she showed the scar to Miran. She promises Gonul that she will strike back. How? asks Gonul. "You'll see. But I need you to stay out of this, Gonul."

Gonul paces back and forth in the courtyard. Azize watches from the balcony. Gonul asks Firat, "Is it possible to live with abuela and not go crazy?" Firat says he doesn't think Elif is lying. Azize Azize yells, "Firat!!" She accuses him of not doing his job; he failed to tell her that Miran had donated blood to Hazar. Firat said he thought it was Miran's place to tell her. He also says she has always treated him as a member of the family. "You are a member of the family," replies Azize. "More than you imagine!" [Hmm...which of our cr@ckpot theories will prove true?]

Azize and Miran talk. Miran alludes to the many things that Azize keeps from him, and how that raises doubts in his mind about what she says. He asks her to tell him what his uncle did to his aunt (Sultana). Azize dodges that question by saying "I don't know what happens behind closed doors of married couples." (Hah!) Azize then diverts the discussion to Elif. She claims to be worried about her. "After the accident, she also saw things. Ghosts. Imaginary things. Bad nightmares." Miran remembers this, but he says he can't ignore the possibility that what Elif says is true. He also tells Azize that Reyyan is convinced that Azize gave the order to have the car shot up. "The man Hazar Sadoglu brought works for you, and he changed his story when he saw you." Azize points out that Miran was there, and he yelled at the man to stop lying. Miran tells her that if she hadn't hidden so many things from him, he wouldn't question her. Azize replies, "Hazar Sadoglu brazenly lies to us. He now has your blood running in his veins, and he's hellbent on killing you. Instead of believing that man's lies, protect Elif. I'm thinking of sending her to London to study. She shouldn't be here." Miran replies, Abuela, Elif doesn't want to go to London. What if she gets worse while she's far away?" Azize tells him, "If you say things here will calm down, we can keep her here." "She's not leaving, period!" insists Miran. "OK," Azize replies.

Back at the Sadoglus, Azat tells Zehra that Reyyan left the house with Miran. Zehra is not pleased. "We sent you away to keep you away from trouble," she tells Reyyan. Reyyan explains, "I went with Miran to find out about the ring. I found the jeweler who made it. The letter is missing. The ring is the only evidence I have. I want to prove my father's innocence." Reyyan goes to her room, and Zehra joins her. Reyyan continues to try to explain her actions and feelings to her mother. "My father doesn't deserve malicious lies. A man like my father should leave an honorable name." Zehra objects: "What if something happens to you? It's dangerous. Have you thought about the harm you'd cause your family if something happens to you? All you need to put an end to your father's anguish is to abandon this and obey us. I forbid you from seeing Miran again. It's over." Reyyan replies, "Not until Miran knows the truth." Zehra insists: "I said it's over. You'll sign the divorce papers as soon as possible. If you have any second thoughts, think of your father, who almost died for you." Zehra then leaves Reyyan's room, but as soon as she's outside and the door is closed, she takes out the letter she's been carrying around and looks at it again. Is she thinking of showing it to Reyyan after all? She puts it away again and walks off.

In her room, Reyyan takes out the divorce papers and stares at them. She has a pen in her hand. She brings her hand down to sign the documents. Does she do so? The episode ends before we can answer the question.

Excellent recap Juanita! Even with the continued bickering of ReyMir, I thought we were put back on some traction with our many crackpot theories. Is Firat Gonul’s brother?

No surprise that Azize was behind Master Gabriel lying about the ring. I am glad he told my telenovio Philip to tell the truth once he died. He didn’t look too good, so hopefully I will see Philip again soon!

The second spy does not seem to have ties to Nasuh, he seems younger, more like the kidnappers. I think the note master is behind this group.

Miran leaving Reyyan on foot and claiming she would put him in a manicomio made me laugh, as did the flat tire scene. Yes, Reyyan was pretty annoying but I was glad to see Miran tease her a bit to get her out of the funk.

I did not like that Azat seems to think he owns Reyyan and ends up at Melike’s grandparents looking for her, bossing her around and then tattling to Zehra. Ugh, Zehra. She has her nerve calling out Reyyan for lying and demanding she divorce Miran. I don’t think Reyyan will sign.

Elif showed some spunk last night, but those vipers are enough to make us all want to find shelter in a manicomio!

I really enjoyed the recap Juanita! Thank you!

OT
On another note, I was called away today for an out-of-town business trip. I won’t be able to do a recap tonight.

Herc.

Thx for the recap Juanita. Am I recapping tonight?

I didn't realize the time when I posted my random thoughts. Had I been watching the show instead...I'd know my theory about who was menacing Gabriel was off....it was Azzie. We still don't know who the other spy is but I agree....it's probably not one of Nasuf's men. But I did think for sure it would be Nasuf who sabotaged ReyMirs quest regarding the ring.

Sadly...both Azzie and Nasuf have reasons for ReyMir not to succeed in getting the real truth about the ring or the relationship between their offspring. I know they both have their sins from the past...do they both have blood on their hands from the past? VVS...I agree with you...hope we see Gabriel's son soon...and not at the end of the show.

Wasn't feel Miran yelling down Reyan when she went into her rant about the ring. He has not budged off of his unwavering belief in his grandma...tho he is to be commended for agree to work with Reyan to find the truth. But I agree with the patio...tired of them having the same ole argument.

Is Elif turning back into her ole self...let's hope so. Not feeling that weepy weak person she's been since Hazar's event. The vipers need someone to stand up to them. It's unfortunate tho Sultana couldn't cop to the truth of what Azzie did to her in the middle of the night. This makes Elif look like she's loosing it. But where does Sultana go from her....has she been sufficiently scared off.

But if Elif really wanted to show some spunk...she should have went ahead and confessed what happened to Hazar that night. That takes real courage and it seems so many in this TN doesn't have it when it really matters.

Many thanks, VVS and Nett, for your insightful comments.
VVS, I'm glad you included the fact that Gabriel asked Philip to tell the truth about the ring after he dies. I had intended to include that, but somehow I failed to do so. I agree with you that the mysterious watcher who made the phone call was probably reporting back to the note master (who, I've been assuming, was also behind the strange kidnapping of Reyyan). I threw in the unlikely possibility that the watcher was working for Nasuh just to cover all bases, since Nasuh certainly is worried about Reyyan's investigating the past and wants to thwart her. But, as I said in the recap, Nasuh seems at best like a very remote possibility. But just who the note master is remains a mystery. As for Azat, you and I are on the same page here as well. Indeed, I almost used the word "tattling" to describe his reporting to Zehra. I'm not sure why I decided against it. It does seem like the best word.

Nett, first of all, am I right in thinking that you're offering to do tonight's recap? That would be terriific! And yes, I agree, both Azize and Nasuh want to prevent ReyMir from uncovering the truth about the past. She seems much more adept than he is at thwarting their attempts, perhaps because he has somewhat more human feelings than she seems to have (though I wouldn't want either of them in my family!). And yes, I suspect that both of them have blood on their hands from their actions in the past. As for Elif, I was heartened to see her show signs last night that her feistiness is back, though her emotional state is still very fragile. I wonder whether her claim "These lies will end, and I'll be the one to end them" will turn out to be true. As you point out, one important step in that direction would be her finally admitting that she was the one who unintentionally pushed Hazar down the stairs.

Thank you, Juanita, for the recap.

Two snakes, Yaren and Zehra, have the letters that have the potential to reduce hostility between Miran and Hazar. That will remove the excuse of "Reyyan's safety" when trying to separate her from Miran. We can't expect any such thing from Yaren. Zehra's letter is especially potent. Zehra, instead, is pushing Reyyan to sign the divorse papers, which will increase hostility from Miran. Then Hazar will be in real danger. Azize will have a better chance to get Miran to kill him. To me, Zehra looks more and more like Yaren and actually puts her family in danger. VVS, I agree "She has her nerve calling out Reyyan for lying and demanding she divorce Miran."

Herc

Thanks for a great recap, Juanita.

Oh Elif, it will be a long time before the lies end. I worry about her the most in this mess.

Azize makes it seem so obvious that Firat is an Aslanbey. I can’t make up my mind if he is Sultana’s missing son or not. There may be other hidden Aslanbeys out there.

So, the death watch begins for Master Gabriel.

VVS, I lol’d too, when Miran mentioned the manicomio.

I can forgive Azat but I don’t forgive Zehra.

I’m wondering if ReyMir will divorce now, then get back together later in the story.

Thanks very much, Lucio and dondi356, for your excellent comments. Lucio, I suspect that both Yaren and Zehra would be upset at being likened to the other, but I think you're absolutely right. However, I'm still holding out a little hope that Zehra will let Reyyan have the letter. Of course, if she does, Reyyan will think that she and Miran are sister and brother. Oops. More confusion, more obstacles, and less than 3 weeks to go.

dondi356, I too feel a lot kinder toward Azat than toward Zehra, though Azat really got on my nerves last night with his constant baiting of Miran and his tattling to Zehra about Reyyan. As for Firat, I'm still wondering whether Azize's sister Hanife might be his birth mother. Azize would be highly motivated to help Hanife hide the disgrace of a child out of wedlock, and in a society where "blood line" seems to count for so much, Firat's having Aslanbey blood might help explain why Azize has entrusted him with all the Aslanbey resources (of course, he'd also have Aslanbey blood if he were Sultana's son by her nasty, abusive Aslanbey husband).

So many questions, so little time.

Epi 75 , Part1

In her room, Reyan contemplates signing the divorce paper and dissolves into tears saying she can’t do it…to her mother who is not there.

Elsewhere, the family is having dinner when Yaren walks and is greeted warmly by her dad but gramps still can’t stand the sight of her so he leaves. This brings Yaren to tears and she runs out of the room. Handan tells her husband that Yaren needs to feel the consequences of her actions and stops him from running after her. Azat shames his mom when he reminds her that she’s guilty too for covering for Yaren and he too leaves dinner.

Nasuf is outside with his trusted advisor, Yusuf, mad at himself that he left dinner because he couldn’t bring himself to turn Yaren away…and he still can’t see how she could have done what she did. Yusuf advises him not to drag out his anguish toward Yaren but Yasuf is beside himself knowing how he favored her and she still let him down on purpose. Zehra is walking by and overhears Nasuf comments that Yaren knew about the vendetta in advance and did nothing. She’s drops the water vase and goes over to Nasuf and asks him to repeat what he just said. The men both try to calm her as she gets more upset realizing what Yaren did. Yasuf said he’s handling so she asks if he’s going to treat Yaren with the same beat downs…humiliations… and death warrents he gave Reyan. He doesn’t deny that what Yaren did was wrong and begs Zehra not to do anything. (I call B.S. on this…they all should line up one by one and slap Yaren around…but I digress.) She calls him out for all the hate …abuse and indifference he bestowed on Reyan basically saying the chicken came home to roost with Yaren. She hits harder saying she will tell all to Hazar and threatens to leave with the family if he doesn’t get Yaren out.

Hazar, in bed struggles to reach his ringing phone. It’s a call from Esma who wants to know if he got the 2nd letter. Unfortunately Zehra walks in just in time to intercept the call. Esma realizes she has given Hazar the letter and warns her how important the letter is. Zehra pretends its someone calling to check on Hazar’s and she leaves the room with the phone. Outside she hisses at Esma for calling. Esma wants to know why she hasn’t turned the letter over …so Zehra questions her intentions and the realness of the letter…and the timing. She doesn’t want to ruin Reyan’s illusion about her family without knowing the letter is authentic (she knows it real). Esma hangs up on her after telling her if she doesn’t do the right thing about the letter …she will. Back in the room, Zehra tries to cover herself and is saved from Hazar’s questions when Reyan walks in. Reyan starts to question Hazar about the ring and why he allowed himself to take the blame for something he didn’t do all those years. He clearly doesn’t want to talk about it but explains he did for his family…so she leaves to make him soup.

In the kitchen with Melike, she’s making the soup and trying reconciled the conflicting stories between Miran and her father regarding the fall. She’s tormented trying to make sense of it all….her father absolutely never lies to her and Miran insists he didn’t do. After confessing how much she still loves Miran, Melik urges her to talk to her father more about the incident but she doesn’t want to bother him.

Epi 75 , Part 2

Miran having joined a surprised Firat on an evening stroll is going over Reyan’s loyalty to her father when he gets a text from her. He’s surprised because he thought she was mad at him but when he goes and sneaks back into the mansion, he learns that it wasn’t’ Reyan but Gul who sent the message. Reyan happens by and catches them talking and goes out to see what’s going. Gul rats her out about always talking about Miran… to his delight. A very chatty and observant Gul wonders if the married couple isn’t living together because the family yelled at him. She goes on and on (I didn’t listen to it all) and wants the 3 of them to have a sleep over again but Reyan says no…they can’t. The discussion turns to hanging out under the stars but there are no stars tonight so Reyan ushers Gul off to her room.

With Gul gone Reyan chastises Miran coming while he’s frustrated and wants to know what more he can do having run to her every time she’s called. She insists she only called him recently to search for the truth and he should now leave. Sarcastically he takes his leave…following her orders as usual he says.

Sultana walks in on Elif who is still bothered by recent events. She doesn’t understand why Sultana is covering for Azzie regarding the late night bullying stunt so Sultana doesn’t have the strength to fight her and urges Elif to keep quiet. Elif is visibly still struggling with the weight of it all and just wants to rest when Azat calls. She doesn’t answer and tries to hide the caller but Sultana has already seen it was him…so she takes the opportunity to plant the marriage seed and leaves Elif with something to think about. Elif gives herself a pep talk to disclose the truth.

Hanife brings Yaren her dinner and takes a dig at about being married off soon, having overheard her parent discuss it. Outside on the patio, her parents are being told by Nasuf that they need to find her a suitable family soon and get her out of the house. Yaren has come down the stairs to spy and hears the conversation unseen by them. Yasuf goes on that only sees the pain she caused every time he looks at her and wants her out of their house. Hadan tries to sway him even agreeing to get Reyan’s forgives . Yasuf will not be swayed (because of Zehra’s blackmail) so Cihan agrees to find a family. Reyan walks down the stairs passing Yaren on the stairs. Intending to pass though, she is shocked with Nasuf call her over for coffee. She is clearly moved and agrees to bring it when Cihan seconds the invitation. Yaren mumbles to herself that she will not be thrown out of the house like a dog and comes from her hiding spot. Her parents try to send her back to her room but she insists on confronting gramps. She wants to know what punishment her parent will get because they knew about the vendetta plot as well.…will they be forced to divorce, she asks. This provokes a well deserved slap from Handan. This leaves Cihan needing to explain when they found out but Yasuf doesn’t want to hear it. He shames them and walks out. A defiant Yaren stares down her father as her mother has to sit from the weight of all that is happening.

Elif calls Azat who tries to assure her that everything will past and he invites her to meet the next day, asking her to be careful of her grandmother. After hanging up, she vows to herself that their meeting won’t be in vain.

In the kitchen, Reyan updates Melike that her gramps has invited her to coffee and she’s so happy and overjoyed that she gives Melike a big hug and overcooks the coffee. They giggle and take note of the significance of the invitation.

Back in her room, Yaren is talking to herself and vows that everyone will be made to pay. She grabs the picture off the wall where she has hidden the letter and we are treated to her flashback of the night she took it from the bag that ReyMir left on the bench outside the hospital during one of their many arguments. Back in the present she smiles and flashes crazy eyes …knowing the letter is a time bomb waiting for her to detonate.

After coffee, Reyan goes into her room and we see someone is watching her from a closet and but sneaks out of the room closing the door behind them startling her. She calls out assuming it was Miran….then notices and envelop on the floor. At this same moment, Melike walks in starting her as she reaches for the note. The note reads that “if you want to know truth, go to Dilsah’s home town of Derik. The info you get there will change everything.”

Nett, thank you for giving us every frustrating detail .

Wow. Rey is all " yippee, Grumpy Gramps told me to make him coffee!!"

It's nasty Yaren's turn on Gramps naughty list . Can you imagine your family "finding a family\husband for you speedy quick to get you out of the house because Gramps is ticked with you? I can't wait to see the guy they nominate .

Again little Gul intervenes to try to bring the star crossed lovers together , but Rey isn't having it . Meanwhile Miran stands by in his suit waiting for her to give in to him . and on it goes around and around .

Maybe Elif and Azat will be end game since they seem to be decent folks in these two disturbingly dysfunctional families .

These people .

Thank you for the welcome VVS I hv to confess I’m drawn here each morning, or afternoon or evening when I can get a moment. ;) Thank all of you Recappers for sharing your time and skills with us!!!

Maybe I misunderstood but wks ago didn’t “the family” already decide on a groom for Yaren? Some old ugly guy? How was she able to wiggle out of that one? And Azat just seems weird to me. He’s obsessed with someone he grew up believing is his cousin and every time she turns around he’s there! Then to go tattle to her mother? How old is this guy? Then there’s Elif. Girl needs to tell her truth soon or she’s simply going to implode. Have to love Azize’s eye makeup….

Thanks very much, Nett, for this fine recap. It looks as if the pace is picking up now that there are only a few weeks left. I was happy and not surprised that Reyyan couldn't bring herself to sign the divorce papers. As for Yaren...I loved your saying "they all should line up one by one and slap Yaren around…" YES!! And then they should marry her off to a mean, ugly guy.

Good for Esma, threatening to tell Hazar if Zehra doesn't give him the letter. It's gotten to the point where I have a hard time even looking at Zehra, she annoys me so much.

I understand and appreciate your saying about Gul "She goes on and on (I didn’t listen to it all)." I often have the same response to her. She's adorable...in small doses. Her role last night puzzled me. On the one hand, she still apparently carries around a baby bottle, even though she's said to be five years old. On the other hand, she's only five but already is not only adept at using a cell phone but also can write a message in language good enough to fool Miran into believing that Reyyan sent it. Huh?

And then there's the note left for Reyyan. First we see that someone seems to be watching her from inside her room. Then we see a shadow of someone outside her room. Who is this person? At first, I thought it was Yaren, whom we've just seen plotting, but I thought the shadow seemed to be male, or at least not someone with long hair like Yaren. Was the person the same one who slipped the message under Reyyan's door? I assume it is. The paper and seemingly the handwriting as well seem identical to the notes sent to Azize. I doubt that Yaren is the one who has been sending Azize notes, but I guess that's possible. Or is there someone else in addition to Yaren targetting Reyyan (or perhaps helping her?). And what does Yaren plan to do with Dilsah's letter?

Your recap does a great job of presenting the situations that lead up to these questions. I hope tonight's episode and/or tomorrow's may provide some answers.

Thanks so much Nett for the excellent Wednesday recap. I sure appreciate that you volunteered to cover. My work schedule has increased dramatically ever since our board of directors lifted the traveling ban for staff. I have to admit, COVID sucks, but I did like not having to travel and just staying in my home hidey hole. I was able to watch the interesting episode during lunch today. Your recap covered everything!

I loved: “they all should line up one by one and slap Yaren around” At least Handan got one good slap in!

I know some folks think Gul in annoying but I thought it was cute that text Miran, via Reyyan’s phone to come see her. She loves her ½ brother and he her.

Yep, Yaren had that letter, I knew it! Now what is she planning on doing with it?

SaraAnne: Glad you ventured back to visit and comment! All the recappers sure do appreciate your nice comments. A few weeks ago, there was talk about marrying Yaren off, but no groom had been chosen. The Patio had a few choice requirements, so now that finding a groom is back on the table, I hope he is smelly, warty, hunchbacked, toothless and old!

I agree SaraAnne, Azat has to get over his love obsession with Reyyan already. There is a lot to dislike about Azize, but her consistency in evilness, dress code and eye makeup is admirable!

The note master is definitely close by and connected. I don’t think it is anyone we know, just yet. I am sure Reyyan will head out to Dilsah’s village. Maybe we will finally learn more about Miran’s mom.

Herc

Thank you, Nett, for stepping up with another great Wednesday recap.

Gul’s text message was “beni görmeye gel damda bekleyeceğim” - Come to see me I will wait on the roof. ITA, Juanita, I only saw her with a doll this time, but it is odd how she manages to send a grammatically correct text to Miran. She’s easier to watch in the original Turkish.

Nasuh asked Reyyan, “Bana bir kahve yapar mısın kızım?” Can you make me a coffee my girl (or my daughter)? Something that seemed so simple, had a big impact. Wonder how long this will last.

Yaren is so vile. “(I call B.S. on this…they all should line up one by one and slap Yaren around…but I digress.)” lol, I want to know where to get on the line.

Let’s call BS on Zehra, too. She knows the letter is real and she’s in deep. Although I did like what she said to Nasuh. And he stood there and took it!

SaraAnne, nice to read your comments. We can’t wait to meet Yaren’s groom. He better be awful in every way but I’m afraid he won’t be awful enough.

I’m anxious for ReyMir to visit Dilsah’s village. And very interested in Azat and Elif meeting.

Thx all for reading/commenting. And Dondi...thx for clearing up some details. I knew Gul orchestrated them both being on the roof but I missed how she got Reyan to come up. And I mistook Nasuf's request for an invitation. And I should have known it wasn't an invite to sit with them. It appears it is more customary for the women to serve tea vs take tea with the men.

Yeah....for sure B.S. on Zehra...she knows that letter is real...she just doesn't want to face the dominos that will all if it is ever revealed. In order to avoid the incest drama she'd have to admit that Hazar is not her dad. And she's not ready for the impact it might have on Hazar's relationship with Reyan ...but she's more concerned about her lie coming out than Reyan's feelings. And I'm sure she's not ready to have Miran forced into her life even more. At any rate her actions will drag out the mystery a little longer.

I too originally thought that it was Yaren hiding in Reyan's room. ...but it was evident it wasn't her when the note was revealed. I wonder when Yaren is going to drop her time bomb...sure she's waiting on the right moment.

And yes, the find Yaren a husband search is back on...more so because Yasuf is under pressure from Zehra now. I too hope it's some portly guy with a face full of warts and moles.

Looks like Azat and Elif are ready to move forward on their own without the prodding of others. They both seemed nervous but ready to meet. What will come of it...hope she's brave enough to reveal the truth about Hazar.
