Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #44
Part 1 of 4
The tall shadowy figure peers into the hole where Miran lays, motionless. At the Aslanbey court yard, La Loca (thank you novelera) aka, Gonul, is still acting pretty loca. Sultana is trying to console her but Loca keeps blaming her mother for making her this way and what she did to Miran. Firat finally manages to get back to the konak and Esma informs him that Miran is dead. Stunned, he whirls Loca around demanding to know if she killed him? Yes, I did. Why? We were going there to save him! Tell me where he is!
Firat has a Miran-like meltdown and tries to grab Loca. The guards keep him away but he headbutts them and demands that Ayise or Sultana tell him where Miran is. The front gate is open and in the fray, a dazed and confused Loca walks out into the street. Where is he? Demands Firat. Esma tells him that he is at the bottom of a well and HAG went to get him. Now concerned, Firat says, she will kill him if she finds him and rushes off. Sultana realizes that Loca has flown the cuckoo’s nest.
Reyyan is walking comatose on a dirt road. Azize is driving by, stops the car and proceeds to mock Reyyan. She tells her that once upon a time, she walked in much worse pain than Rey. Rey does not even acknowledge her and continues to stumble back to Miran. Azize says, I was innocent too and sees the younger version of herself as Ayse walking and carrying the black stone that would be her son’s grave marker. With her is a sad, younger Hanife. That’s how I was, says Azize, as the younger version stops and smiles at her. To the sky, Azize says, your mother has fulfilled her promise, my son. Sleep peacefully and tell your aunt and uncle to do the same. With that off her chest, Azize resumes her formidable self and heads off down the road to continue her evil deeds.
Aslan is pondering the few words from the Hanife letter as Harun speaks to Mahfuz who cannot find Hanife. They discuss where she might be and Aslan decides to send her a text asking her where she is (Great, now HAG will see the text) also saying that he found her letter and now knows the full Azize/Ayse story and he promises to keep Hanife safe. His phone rings, it is Sultana telling him that Gonul wants to kill herself, Miran is dead and she needs some help. Aslan and Harun run off to help find Loca.
In a small village an elder woman speaks the native language, she appears to be a medicine woman who is waiting for someone to arrive.
HAG arrives at the abandoned village. Walking to the well, she thinks how the Sadoglu are finally going to pay for all the harm they have done. Walking more slowly, she hears the voice of a young Miran telling her he is scared, telling her that Esma said it was her birthday and he brought her flowers, grandmother means mom and dad and finally saying, you will never leave me right grandmother? HAG actually looks sad as she gets closer to the well. Why do I feel this way? They killed your child. I will pray for you Miran as she lifts her hands and whispers a prayer.
Hazar is driving into the abandoned village. The Robot warns HAG of his arrival. I will now turn over to you who I have grown over all these years she says, wiping her tears, let’s be done with this. It is then that she realizes the well is empty, there is no Miran. It is empty, she tells the Robot as Hazar strides over. Hazar gets the jump on her and immediately asks, tell me right now. Is Miran my son? Azize is momentarily surprised. How can you ask me that question?
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #44
Part 2 of 4
Who put that ridiculous thought in your head? Your father and your brother? He responds, why would they say something like that? Azize always quick on her feet says that Cihan came to tell her that Gonul shot Miran, but she is sure it was Hazar. Now she demands to know where her grandson is. What has he done with Miran?
In his truck, Azat (yay!) is driving and yelling a Miran to stay alive. Stay alive, he says, we are almost there and you cannot die because we still have a score to settle. If you die, I will not forgive you. Reyyan is still walking aimlessly in a field. We go back to the village with the ribbons tied in a tree and the old medicine woman waiting on a plateau.
Azat arrives, carrying Miran over his shoulder and puts him down on the plateau that the medicine woman has prepared for a ceremony. Concerned, Azat removes Miran’s shirt. Reyyan continues to walk in a field. The medicine woman, using a heated knife, is able to remove the bullet from Miran’s back. He wakes up for a moment and then passes out again. Praying, she puts a dark mud like poultice on the wound. Azat watches saying, you will live Miran, you will live, because if you die, Reyyan will too. (Wow, he finally gets it!). We see another shot of Reyyan, walking aimlessly.
Seyad is pushing the baby carriage trying to get the Handan/Cihan spawn to sleep. He tells her he is praying for a miracle that ReyMir will be together very soon. Always the wet blanket, Yaren overhears him and says that this miracle will never occur because Miran is dead. Melike, returning from the market, drops her bags in disbelief. Miran is dead? Oh no, Reyyan…
Hazar is at the well, on the phone and yelling at Cihan as Azize and the Robot listen in. I entrusted you with my children and you let Reyyan leave knowing that Miran was dead? My daughter is devastated! Do you think she will survive this? How could you let this happen? Cihan says he is looking for her now. Frustrated, Hazar starts to leave but is stopped by Azize shooting the Robot’s pistol into the air, saying he will go nowhere until she knows where Miran is. Hazar yells back, my daughter is missing and devastated, I have no idea where Miran is. Shoot me, but I will find my daughter first, he heads to the car. Azize tells Mahmoud to call the men and find Miran.
Night has fallen at the medicine woman’s village, Miran remains unconscious while the old woman tends to his wound and continues to pray. Azat sits nervously watching. Other women are there assisting the medicine woman grind herbs. Firat arrives. He confirms that Miran is doing okay and the bullet has been removed. He asks Azat why he didn’t take him to a hospital. Azat says that there wasn’t enough time. He arrived just in time after Gonul called him. Firat is stunned that Loca called Azat after she shot Miran. Azat tells him it doesn’t matter why La Loca did what she did. All that matters right now is that his brother, Miran is alive, my work here is done. As Azat turns to leave, Firat grabs his arm and demands to know why Cihan was after Miran?
Confused, Azat says, my father? Firat explains that Gonul and he were on their way to save Miran from Cihan. He leaves out the part about Gonul stealing the car from him, but says that he had to get back on foot. Then somehow the story has changed that it is Gonul and not Cihan that shot Miran? says Firat. They begin to argue but the old medicine woman tells them to be quiet!
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #44
Part 3 of 4
Firat tells Azat that he saw Gonul and Reyyan in a car with Cihan. Azat makes a call to Cihan and discovers that Reyyan is missing. He heads off to find her (I sure hope so!) as Firat kneels by his brother apologizing for not being there for him.
Sultana is at Aslan’s house concerned that Loca has not been found and accuses him of putting his venganza ahead of his sister. His phone rings and Harun informs him that he has found Loca. She is at the hotel patio balcony. Sultana wants to go rescue her before the Sadoglu find her or Azize does. Aslan still doesn’t quite understand that HAG will sacrifice him, Miran and Gonul if necessary to achieve her venganza. He tells Sultana that he will go get his sister and together they can tell her the truth. Sultana agrees.
HAG arrives back in her bedroom thinking that everything will end today after she throws Miran’s dead body into Hazar’s arms. She picks up Hanife’s cell phone and reads the message from Aslan. Stunned, she calls him and hangs up when he answers saying, Tia? Are you okay? Where are you? (Hanife, Hanife a cell phone password is key for any dizi or TN). He tries calling her back but gets the out of service message. Are you in danger Tia? Where are you? he wonders.
HAG says, Aslan…did you come back to take revenge on me and not the Sadoglu’s? Sitting in her chair, she says, you are alone now Azize. What have I done? What did you do to yourself by making Miran the bait?
Reyyan has managed to walk to the swing in the sky. She starts swinging and thinking about the first time Miran took her up there. (In the memory, Reyyan is definitely much fuller figured. She looks rather skinny on the swing now). She swings thinking that Miran is no longer there to catch her.
The medicine woman continues preparing more remedies to help Miran. This one is a hot poultice that makes Miran groan. Firat jumps to his side but the old woman tells him to stay back and quiet. Her apprentice tells him it will be okay. The old woman sprinkles ash on his back and covers him with a white cloth. The ESP Magic music plays as we see a waterfall and Reyyan wearing a white dress. Miran without bangs, twirls her around as they laugh and dance. The bright necklace she is wearing blinds him. She is gone. He looks for her in the thicket as she plays coy, running from him playfully.
She then walks for a long time on a pathway with Miran far behind her. He finds her sitting on the swing in the sky. He calls her name but she does not respond. He finds the sparkling necklace on the ground and picks it up. She is no longer sitting on the swing as it sways back and forth in an ominous way. He yells, Reyyan, Reyyan, Reyyan. He awakens saying, Reyyan? He overhears Firat talking to Azat, what do you mean you can’t find Reyyan? She thinks Miran is dead, she might try to hurt herself.
Firat turns to find that Miran is now longer lying down, in fact, he is gone. The old medicine woman has apparently done her job well. For the second time that day, Firat watches as Miran steals his car and speeds down the road. (It is sort of funny). Luckily, Firat spots a motorcycle and heads down to use that.
Azize is standing in the dark as the black hooded figure some of us thought might be Dilsah, approaches. Azize asks, What did you find out? Your suspicions were correct ma’am, Sultana is at Aslan’s house, he ran out when he discovered where Gonul was. Gonul knows nothing about Aslan being her brother.
Azize thinks out loud, that means he has successfully recruited Sultana, just like Hanife, to his side. The dark cloaked figure says, as we planned, Sukran was frightened by my visit and has left her home and village. Sukran is the last thing on my mind, says Azize. Do you have any more instructions for me ma’am? Asks the hooded woman. No, says Azize, you can go.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #44
Part 4 of 4
Azize thinks back to when she told the Robot to shoot up ReyMir in their new home, not caring if they returned on foot or in a coffin. If it is in a coffin, will my grandson Aslanbey take revenge? (now we know she was talking about Aslan back then). She then remembers the night that Miran was crying in her lap, thinking she was dead.
Mahmoud tells her that his men have not found Miran. Azize says they should pray that he is alive because everyone else, Aslan, Sultana, Esma and even Hanife have betrayed her. All she has left is Miran. As I was raising him for revenge, it turns out I actually raised a grandson. She orders him to find Miran.
Miran is speeding along, looking pretty recovered, saying, I know you are there my love. It was the place where you smiled the first time. Wait for me Reyyan. I will be there, as he increases velocity.
Meanwhile, Hazar has arrived at Good Grannie’s house looking for Reyyan. No one is home. (Did she move back to the Aslanbey konak? I don’t remember Mahmoud having time to go get her). Cihan arrives and finds Hazar crying at the door. A furious Hazar slaps Cihan asking, who are you? Is this your idea of caring for my family? Where is Reyyan?
You followed them, slap, you were supposed to take care of my daughter. Do you hate her that much? Slap. Cihan tries to calm him down and pathetically explain but big brother is not having it. I was trying to protect you and our father? What? How? You are doing this to take over the family and become Cihan Aga! Where is my daughter? Slap. Where is Miran? Why were you after Miran? Did you want to kill him? Were you going to kill him?
Yes, says Cihan. I had to because Miran was going to kill our father. Why would Miran want to kill our father? (let me count the reasons). For this, says Cihan. He pulls the note out of his pocket and shows Hazar that it was GT who killed Mehmet.
I have been telling you all along that you are not a murdered brother, it was father who killed Mehmet. Somehow this note fell into Miran’s hands, so yes, I followed him. What was I supposed to do? Let him kill our father? Hazar tells him, so for some obscure note, you were going to kill Miran? It wasn’t just the note, says Cihan, I heard it from our own father’s mouth. What are you saying? shouts Hazar. I am saying that Mehmet was killed by our father, says Cihan, as the episode ends.
Thanks very much, VVS, for another excellent recap! In addition to covering all the important aspects, you also offered some great side comments and snark. I loved your saying that Sultana realizes "that Loca has flown the cuckoo's nest." That's the perfect description of the Aslanbey konak (though it would do quite well for the Sadoglu as well!).
Yes, as soon as Aslan said he was going to write to Hanife, I groaned. Your sarcastic "(Great, now HAG will see the text)" expressed my thought as well, as did your later "(Hanife, Hanife a cell phone password is key for any dizi or TN)." Actually, I even have one on my cell phone.
I was a little confused at first in the scene with the medicine woman. It looked to me as if Azat was holding the knife and was about to use it on Miran to remove the bullet, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Then suddenly I saw the medicine woman apparently do it and retrieve the bullet. I guess she must have been holding the knife all along, and I just wasn't paying sufficiently careful attention.
It's wonderful that all Firat had to do was say the magic words "Reyyan is missing" and Miran makes a miraculous recovery and escapes in Firat's car. Fortunately, the dizi branch of Telenovela Services has made a motorcycle suddenly available for Firat. Clearly, Miran knows where Reyyan has gone. But will he get there in time? [Answer: probably, since the dizi is scheduled to run for a good deal longer.]
I could have done with a lot less repetation of happy scenes we've seen before. At this point, it seemed to me like filler. Yawn.
Ah, so the mysterious woman in black turns out to be one of Azize's minions, the same one who frightened Sukran. Indeed, she tells Azize that scaring Sukran worked, and Sukran has left her house and headed toward the mansion. But, like you, I thought that Mahmoud was supposed to come for her. I don't understand the distances between places, but surely it's too far for her to walk.
So now we have Nasuh's claim that he killed Mehmet. That clearly doesn't square with the flashback that shows Mehmet killing himself. My guess (and hope) is that the flashback is the one we should believe. Clearly, we don't yet have a full understanding of what happened that fateful night.
I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but it looks as if Telemundo is returning to some more 2-hour segments of Hercai! The gran final of Malverde occurs this Wednesday. Beginning this Thursday, Hercai will run from 9-11 pm! This [expletive deleted] arrangement will continue until Tuesday, February 14, when the new season of Pasión de Gavilanes will begin in the 10 pm time slot and Hercai will return to 1-hour episodes at 9 pm.
Hi there Juanita! I always appreciate your comments and observations. The Miran recovery was definitely miraculous and his dream has him headed directly to the swing to save Reyyan. My TV was acting up and did an update at the beginning of the epi so I had to rely on the Turkish version for the first 15 minutes or so. The scenes with the medicine woman might have been different in the Telemundo version. I like the two-hour episodes for moving things along, but it is brutal to recap.
VVS, thank you for recapping every odd moment .
Wow, Miran lives to rant and rave another day thanks to that ancient medicine woman working her magic . This guy must have 9 lives. How many times has he been shot ?
And so , the crazy continues .
Thanks, VVS, for your comment. I suspect that you saw the scene correctly and I was simply not paying adequate attention. In any event, it's clear that the medicine woman (emplyed by Dizi Magical Medical Services?) removed the bullet and saved one of Miran's 9+ lives.
FAB recap VVS! You captured EVERYTHING without missing a beat! The “cuckoo’s nest” indeed! Lol! And Gonulaloca has finally completely crossed over! Sultana and her bunch definitely have the gene, and it ain’t just because Azize helped to drive them CRAZY! Truth be told, I can’t stand Sultana! And although Azize puts the word evil witch to shame, Sultana stayed right in the middle of the witches brew just to get her/ their part of the inheritance——-something they would’ve gotten anyway. She should’ve taken Gonul away a long time ago, especially since she knew that Aslan was alive and well! She gets the absolute WORSE mother of the year award!
I’m glad Azat got to Moron before Azize did. I hope that Azat learns that Moron did what he did to save his life, and they can finally be primos in the real sense of the word. Moron certainly does have 9+ lives and appears to be able to control those lives at will. He went from mostly dead to fully alive and driving at the mention of Reyyan’s name! It was like a miracle! And Firat, always being left standing with a dumb look on his face, poor guy, lol.
Both Hazar and Cihan need to go somewhere and sit down. All these people running off half cocked, accomplishing nothing gives me a headache. Nobody but Moron knows about his and Reyyan’s mountain place, so their efforts are fruitless and a waste. I know waiting can be worse, but wasted energy does nobody any good either.
It really does appear that Gonul is the last person on Aslan’s list of anything. I find that sad because Gonul has been fixated on finding her brother. Why this info is being kept from her is just cruel and unnecessary. I do believe that this whole situation will bring Azat and Gonul together. Azat is such a good man though, and I hope if romance is on the horizon for them, the “real” Gonul will come forth……
Thanks again VVS! 💯
Fatma and Kerim’s last stop for the night is Rose Kitchen. Mehmet leaves so they can be alone. The restaurant is filled with candlelight. Sounds of a puppy crying. Kerim presents “Lodos” to Fatma. Looks like the puppy version of “Barbie”, the dog that came to their house.
Kerim got him from the shelter, he was found by the side of the road, his mother was in an accident. Instant love for Fatma. He will stay at the restaurant for the time being.
Fatma and Kerim arrive home, neither want this day to end. They hang their coats in the hall. Fatma thanks him. This day, this night was very special for me, she says. He puts his hand on her face. They gaze into each other’s eyes. You know what’s coming next. Kisses. Soft, gentle kisses on the lips. Kerim steps back, takes a little breath, like he’s waiting for a reaction. She just looks at him, maybe she’s a little embarrassed. She says good night and heads upstairs. Hopeful Kerim.
Song: Alev Alev/Aflame - Feridun Düzağaç
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5QepsqnLwo
Lyrics: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/alev-alev-flames.html-1#songtranslation
This song played when they were at the bar. Of course, Uni cut it. Kerim put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her in close, she snuggled up against him and put her hand on his chest. They listened to the song with their eyes closed. No dialog.
They cut a very brief scene of Meryem and Kadir snuggling in bed. They look so happy.
Kerim and Fatma are smiling in the morning. Muka goes into the kitchen to “help” Fatma with breakfast. Fatma is singing. To what do we owe this, Muka asks? Fatma says she didn’t realize she was singing. Muka makes a crack, be careful or you’ll fall off that cloud. Fatma laughs. Tell me what happened last night, Muka prods. Nothing, Fatma replies. Muka presses. Fatma is reticent. Muka calls it: did you two kiss last night? That gets a “Yenge!” from Fatma, which Muka takes a confirmation.
Musto leaves for the day and Hacer does some hard thinking.
Fatma retrieves her phone from Elif’s bag before she leaves for the restaurant.
We see Sami driving Hacer. Are you sure this time, he asks? She nods. You won’t regret then, he follows up. No.
Fatma checks the messages on her phone as they drive to the restaurant. She hears Hacer’s message but doesn’t mention it.
The newlyweds are taking a stroll. Mukaddes calls, blaming it on Murat playing with the phone. Meryem easily sees through that. Did Muka think she would interrupt something? Did Muka really think she would get juicy details?
Kerim drops Fatma and Rahmi at the restaurant. Murat meets Lodos before Kerim takes him to school. Kerim says he has the doctor appointment later.
Fatma goes to wash her hands, but she replays Hacer’s message first. She thinks about calling but doesn’t. And it doesn’t matter because Sami’s cab pulls up at Rose Kitchen. Fatma opens the door for Hacer. Fatma says she got her message, but she didn’t want to call back. Hacer tells her this is important. You have to hear me out. Fatma replies, I don’t have to, and you can’t show up whenever. Hacer presses. Rahmi tells Hacer to go, get out. Looks like Mehmet is texting. Fatma relents and lets her in.
Hacer wants to talk in private. Rahmi objects, but Fatma says okay. Kerim drops Murat at school and gets Mehmet’s text: Mustafa’s wife is here, hurry.
Hacer starts, Mustafa still loves you and he thinks you still love him. Fatma is ticked. I don’t have time to listen to this nonsense, she tells Hacer. Please leave. Hacer blurts, he was the one who shot Kerim… and he also killed Vural. And I stayed with him knowing this because I was crazy in love with him. Cara de impactada de Fatmagul. Now, if Mustafa was your great love all this time, I leave it in your hands. You know the truth now. Mustafa’s life is in your hands. This is end of Turkish ep 62
They cut Hacer telling Fatma that Musto wanted to name their baby Murat. Fatma stops Hacer from leaving. You are going to tell this to the police. Hacer again says Musto is in her hands. [Turkish] This punishment will be enough for both of you. Hacer leaves. Fatma runs after her, but Hacer gets in Sami’s taxi and the drive off.
Kerim drives up and Fatma tells him Mustafa shot you and killed Vural.
Sami asks Hacer if she told that Musto shot Kerim. She nods. What will happen now? Are they going to the police? No answer. She takes out her phone. Are you calling Musto, he asks? Musto is with Resat. I think they are concocting a scheme to buy land for their own energy project. Hacer calls him but he doesn’t answer. Hacer texts him: I told Fatma everything. Now she knows you are a murderer. Musto is stunned and Resat asks what happened. Musto walks away with Resat calling and following.
Musto calls Hacer. What does this mean, he asks? I met with Fatma, she replies, I told her everything. Are you crazy, he shouts, how could you do this?! I’m going to kill you. You said that she loves you, Hacer tells him, now we will see how much she loves you. We’ll put her love to the test. Your fate is in the hands of your love, Mustafa. He wants to know where she is. He can’t believe she did this. My baby’s name will not be Murat and I am going to have him far from you, she says.
Cut: Kerim has called Omer and they will meet at the prosecutor. Rahmi wants to call Kadir and Kerim says, don’t. Omer will take care of this.
Also cut: Meryem gets Kadir to recite a poem to her.
Fahr pays another visit to Serdar while he’s working. Serdar is tired of all this. Leave me alone, he says. Why so angry, Fahr asks? Serdar says he has nothing else to say to him or the police. Fahr thinks there’s more to the story. Serdar says that’s all he knows, and nothing has come out of it. I lost my friend because of it. Do you really believe he is innocent, Fahr asks, you’re okay with this?
You blame yourself for betraying your friend, Fahr tells him, but deep inside you know that’s not how it is. Musto is not innocent. Soon we will find out. Kolay gelsin, Fahr says, I’ll be around for a while. We will meet again.
Omer is working the phone to get Hacer’s “new statement” into the record. We hear him say something must have happened between them (Hacer & Musto), this could be revenge, but these are serious accusations about Vural’s murder and Kerim’s shooting.
Fatma thinks about Musto telling her he was going to kill Kerim before that confrontation in the field. Fatma gives Kerim a worried look and takes his hand.
Omer tells them that Hacer’s words will be considered, but he wishes she would testify herself. Now they can’t find Hacer anywhere. Omer adds they will at least be able to compare the footprints at Vural’s murder.
Meltem and Ender wonder where Musto is. Ender thinks they made a mistake about Musto. Resat returns to work.
The Yasarans discuss Musto’s situation. He is safe for now, Munir says, but we have to figure out a way to protect ourselves. Erdo says this has nothing to do with us, who cares about him, he can rot in hell. Resat interjects, sure let him go wherever and have him suddenly appear and kill us. He will mention us when the police catch him and that’s why we have to keep an eye on him. Munir adds that Musto said “protect me or we will all fall together.”
Omer tells Kerim and Fatma they have to be very careful from now on. I don’t want to scare you, but Musto’s got nothing left to lose and that makes him more dangerous. Omer says the Yasarans are in danger, too. [but who cares about them?] Fatma thinks Musto will be caught. Omer says Musto won’t stop until he’s caught.
Neziye’s office calls Kerim. He missed his appointment.
Fatma tells Kerim he is not leaving her side anymore. Who wants to leave, he replies with a smile. She’s serious. I’m not joking, he says. I told you before, Musto will not give up on this. He will continue to bother us. Even mentioning his name makes us feel awful. He will not change.
Cut: Yasar and another guy search Musto’s place and take his laptop and some clothes.
Cut: Sami drops Hacer at a travel agency. Hakkını helal et, she asks him. He tells her don’t say that, we will see each other again. She’s not so sure. Anything can happen. At least tell me where you are going, Sami says, I can be there if you need me. She doesn’t want to tell. They hug. He asks her to call him and she says it is better if she doesn’t.
Hacer goes in and buys a ticket to Trabzon (a city in northeast Turkey on the Black Sea). Then she says she needs to go to Gumushane (a city in the same region) from there. Ha, Sami has snuck in behind her and tells the agent, he’s traveling with Hacer. Sami asks, you are going to see your mother? What else can I do, Hacer replies. End cut.
Cut: Kerim speculates on why Hacer didn’t go to the police. Maybe it was revenge on Musto. Maybe she wanted to see what you did with this information. Maybe she was jealous. She said “this will be enough punishment for both of you.” She did it to test you. Fatma says nonsense. Kerim asks if she was really going to name her baby Murat. She gets upset and lets him know. Kerim says knowing that man has dreams about you drives me crazy. What you are doing hurts me, Fatma tells him. Kerim responds, I’m only thinking of this to hurt myself, not to upset you. Omer comes out and says warrants are out for both Musto and Hacer.
Kadir calls Kerim to check in. They were worried because they haven’t heard from them. Kerim says they didn’t want to bother them. Kadir says everything is very good with them and he asks what they are doing. Working as usual, Kerim replies, we are going to buy supplies now. Fatma shouts her greetings for Meryem into the phone. Tell her I miss her. End call.
Meryem gets suspicious. She realizes Kerim had a doctor’s appointment at this time. He wouldn’t want to miss it. Why didn’t he go? Kadir guesses it might have been postponed. Meryem wants to call the restaurant. Rahmi picks up the phone. She asks him if he is there with Muka. Yes, he replies, and Fatma is home and Kerim is at his appointment.
Meryem asks if anything bad happened. No, nothing. What could have happened? Meryem asks for the truth. What should I say, he whispers to Muka. Muka takes the phone.
Meryem asks, what is happening? Nothing is happening, Muka replies. Meryem is sure they are hiding something. Muka says nothing so bad that you have to come back immediately. You think I wouldn’t tell you? Omer is taking care of it. It’s come out that Mustafa shot Kerim and he also killed Vural. See nothing bad. Nothing to worry about. Meryem is floored.
So of course, that’s the end of the honeymoon. Everyone meets at Kadir’s to discuss the developments. Who knows what happened between Hacer and Musto. Omer says the police went to the company to arrest Musto. We see a flashback. Musto never showed for work. Ender says she has no idea where he is. Resat snarks, see who you have working for you. Meltem snarks back, we’re not sure who he’s working for. Everyone knows you brought him here first. Omer is there taking this all in. end flash.
Omer says Resat acted like he had no connection with Mustafa and Ender was responsible for him. The usual tantrums. Kadir calls Resat a liar. Omer agrees. Kadir asks, nothing from Hacer? Kerim says the police are looking for her. She came and went to the restaurant by taxi. Rahmi says he memorized the plate number. Rahmi is happy he helped the police.
Kerim mentions his father is still playing detective in Ildir. Fatma tells him not to say that, it’s good that he is there. He got Serdar to talk to the prosecutor. We see flashback of Serdar talking about giving Musto the boat on the night of Vural’s death. Kerim says his father was going to meet with someone else. He tries calling his father, but there’s no answer.
Peri and Hilmiye are out to dinner. Hilmiye is worried about their rotten sons. The traitor was among us, waiting for the right moment. Peri says, poor Leman, she was talking to that woman, the wife of the killer. Resat pulls up to the restaurant and he speaks to Yasar on the phone. Yasar has Musto. We are on the way to the house, he tells Resat. Be careful, Resat says, don’t let anyone see you.
Resat enters the restaurant and Peri asks, why this invitation? Does it have to do with Mustafa? No, Resat just felt like it. Too much stress. We should take a break and rest our minds. Peri asks about Munir. Resat says he had something urgent to take care of, an important client. Peri is suspicious. And we know Resat took the ladies out so they wouldn’t see Musto.
Yasar brings Musto to stay in at the Yasarans in a storage room. Selim and Erdo panic. Erdo bails. He’d rather go to his “lover” than stay in the house with a murderer. [Lale’s dog doesn’t stop barking, he must smell the evil coming from the Yasaran house.]
Munir tells Musto that Hacer has been detained and brought back to Istanbul. Musto says she left because she didn’t want to talk to the police and it’s better for you if she doesn’t. She knows a lot about you. She knows how you betrayed me. Everything you made me do. We’ve been involved from the start and if she talks, we will be in trouble. That’s why you’re with us, Munir replies, so we will be organized and you won’t do something stupid. Munir warns him not to take a step outside this room.
Ha, ha, Munir goes to leave and Selim is afraid to stay in the house alone with Musto.
The ladies are with Meryem as she unpacks. Muka is interested to know what Meryem wore “last night”. None of your business, Meryem replies. Muka is so disappointed. I told you, Meryem says, the lake was beautiful, it was tranquil and quiet. The air was fresh. Muka’s dirty mind craves more dirt. Meryem warns her not to cross the line.
Meryem changes the subject and asks Fatma what she and Kerim did. We walked, it was a special day, she answers. Muka says, they got home very late and the next day she was singing like a bird. You must have had a wonderful Valentine’s Day, no? Yes, but then this had to happen, Fatma replies. They don’t let me enjoy anything good that happens in my life. Something bad always happens when things get better. I have to get used to it.
Muka says, you did what you had to do. Mustafa has been discovered. Kerim comes downstairs with Elif. Muka continues, Mustafa even became a killer for you. He ruined his life to get revenge. Kerim won’t be happy to hear this. And what do you know, Kerim hears this at the door. Muka picks up, nobody asked him to get revenge for Fatmagul. He should have protected his fiancée better. None of this would have happened. Fatma sees Kerim at the door. Look who’s here, she says, and she goes to take the baby from Kerim.
Kerim’s phone rings and Rahmi brings it. It’s Fahr. He explains he was at the prosecutor’s office. With Serdar? Did he cooperate? Yes, Musto took his boat that night, there are many witnesses. Musto is ruined. Kerim asks if he is meeting with someone else. Yes, Ahmet, owner of the local newspaper that wrote about the Yasarans. He wanted to meet me when he found out I was here. It’s Galip’s friend.
Kerim tells his father, you warn me, but you’re the one stirring it up there. Fahr says he’s not going back to Australia until this is solved. Otherwise, he can’t be at peace. Kerim tells him not to do anything by himself, let the police and the prosecutor handle it. I’m trying to help you, Fahr replies, I want to feel useful. Please be careful, Kerim says.
Fahr meets with Ahmet. He has some important things to say about the case.
Cut to the police station. Sami is already there. He tells Hacer not to be afraid, do what you have to do. Tell them everything you know! He’s taken away by a cop.
Hacer sits for the interrogation. The cop says, Fatmagul Ilgaz said you told her some things about your husband. We want to hear them, too. Hacer flashes back to first meeting Musto on the bus. Hacer is silent. The cop takes her silence as an admission. He tells her she is an important witness in this case. We won’t let you go until you tell us the truth. You’re pregnant and we don’t want to tire you, he says, but you shouldn’t tire us either. Tell us all you know.
Ahmet shows Fahr the first newspaper article and says that Munir had him silenced. He threatened with a lawsuit and shutting down the paper. Ahmet says, he had to step back because he had no evidence. Fahr replies, they made everyone step back.
Ahmet heard the case was reopened and he started to do research. And the more he searched it the stranger it became. The doctor who wrote the report said there was no rape. Then the doctor quit and moved to Bodrum with his family. I don’t know how we can prove this but look— Ahmet shows Fahr a copy of the land registry from Bodrum, dated 6 months after the incident. He adds everyone from the hospital who was involved in this case quit their jobs or put in for their retirement and left for another place.
Ahmet hands over the details. Fahr says they silenced everyone. Yep, anyone involved with the case. Ahmet says he spoke with others at the hospital who have suspicions, but they can’t prove anything. Fahr says the ones who are hiding are also criminals. The research will continue and Ahmet hands over the info of a man he highly suspects.
Cut: Musto comes out of his room looking for alcohol and scares the hell out of Selim. Lol. He says you guys will end up like Vural. Later, Lale’s dog runs over to the Yasarans. Selim holds onto the dog. The dog goes crazy and wants to get in the house. Lale comes to get the dog. End cut.
Kerim sits outside the house, thinking. Fatma is in her bedroom. She takes out the fabric for her dress and places it on a chair. She sees Kerim sitting outside.
Back to Hacer’s interrogation. Munir shows up. The vultures sensed the smell already, she tells him. Munir says it’s good if you stay silent. Did you come to congratulate me, she asks? He answers, I’ll tell you what you ought to know before it’s too late. If you say anything, it won’t be good for you or Mustafa. You think you can threaten me with this, she asks?
Munir laughs, after our first meeting, I had you followed. I know your story very well. So what, you know what I did for a living, she replies. Munir says I know, but what about your family? He knows where her mother lives. She was going to visit, perhaps for the last time. She still thinks you’re married and living in Germany.
I know everything, Munir continues, you went to Germany to have a happy life and your lowly husband sold you to other men for money. Hacer jumps up in anger, don’t make me kill you here. Sit down, Munir says, we are on the same side. But if you tell the cops anything, you will have nowhere to go. That man in Germany is also looking for you. Munir laughs. Besides, you are still married to him. He can find you with one call and that would make him very happy. That’s enough, Hacer says.
Uni did it again, they cut something important! Kerim knocks and enters Fatma’s room. She’s wiping tears. He looks troubled and asks, is Mustafa the reason for your tears? Yes, it’s for him, she replies, it upsets me how a person could change this much. How he loses his humanity and becomes a monster. She continues, we all changed so much after the incident, but taking a life…purposely doing harm to others…attempting to kill…
Go figure, Kerim says, he will do anything for you. Kerim is immediately sorry he said that. Mustafa would be happy to know his shadow is still upon us. Then control yourself, she tells Kerim. I can’t help it, he replies, I’m jealous. I know it’s not healthy, but I can’t stand it when his name is mentioned with yours. I can’t bear seeing you cry for him. I told you why, Fatma says.
Kerim sees the fabric on the chair. He sits at the edge of her bed. Mustafa and you were in love for many years. We were kids, Fatma interjects. You got engaged, he was in your thoughts even after he turned his back on you. You married me so he would not shed any blood. Fatma sighs. Kerim says Musto is the reason we got married. He might have stopped us if the gendarme didn’t stop him.
Fatma says, he was going to kill you. See, Kerim answers, you didn’t want him to become a killer. Fatma asks, do you think I still love him? I just want to know I am the only one in your heart, Kerim replies. I want to know there is no place for him. That’s it. Good night. Kerim leaves.
Cut: the newlyweds are in their bedroom. Meryem has the picture of Kadir with his late wife. Kadir had put it in a drawer. Meryem puts it in the hallway and says it belongs there.
Cut: Fatma is still awake in her bed. She gets up and this time she goes to Kerim’s room. He’s awake sitting in his bed. What is it, he asks. There’s no one in my heart but you, she replies. She sits on his bed, then lies down! On her side, her head on the pillow, with her hands underneath. She gazes at Kerim in an invitation. Of course, he lies down next to her the very same way, facing her, his hands underneath his head on the pillow. That’s how they stay. The scene fades into the next morning. End cut. [I hate Uni!]
If you want to see the cuts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxNK6verKRM
Next morning, Kerim and Fatma greet each other with smiles. He has a sore arm. [I wonder why? Lol] I didn’t want to move and wake you up, he tells her, I’d gladly lose an arm to sleep like that. Fatma looks at his hand.
Muka comes out of her room. Look at those happy faces, what happened? Nothing, Fatma says as Kerim heads off to the bathroom. Muka has to bring up Musto on the loose. I would be scared if I was you. But good, you keep smiling.
Meryem and Fatma talk in the kitchen. Fatma is scared that Musto will do something to Kerim. Meryem assures her Musto will be caught.
Kadir shouts from downstairs, Fatma! Kerim! Come here! Good news! The phone companies have placed the rotten ricos near Izmir Yoroglubag. I guess that’s near the scene of the crime.
So we cut to the police station where Munir says the phone report doesn’t prove anything. The coverage is over 30 kilometers, not just the crime scene. It covers the Yasarans’ house, too. Kerim starts to get upset and needs to be calmed down.
Hacer is wheeled out of her interrogation and Fatma goes after her. Why didn’t you tell the cops what you told me? Why do you protect him? He won’t escape this time, Fatma shouts after her.
We go to Rose Kitchen. Meltem shows up looking for Fatma. Meryem is surprised but asks Meltem to sit. She tells Meryem that the police were at the company looking for Musto. The Yasarans gave a story. Meryem fills her in on Hacer’s visit. Meltem says the Yasarans looked very nervous. And she tells Meryem that she saw pics of Fatma on Musto’s computer.
Yasaran stuff. Something about Peri and Hilmiye planning a trip. Lale sets her dog loose on the Yasaran property. [hmm…] The dog goes crazy barking and sniffing near where Musto is and the Yasaran men panic that Musto will be discovered. Erdo manages to distract the dog.
Meltem asks to keep her informed.
Cut: Rahmi has been moping all day. Meryem says the customers will begin to notice. What’s wrong. He says he has a bad feeling he can’t shake. Meryem tells him to think positive. Good things will happen.
Resat tells Musto that Hacer kept quiet. Nevertheless, Fatma is insisting you shot Kerim and that you killed Vural. Your life has escaped from your hands. And for what? All that has happened is that woman’s fault. You became a murderer for her and she’s trying to put you behind bars. She continued with her life, but it’s you who suffers.
Resat lays it on thick. She was a rape victim and look who she married. She turned her back on you. If we could have silenced her from the beginning, now you wouldn’t be a murderer and Vural would be alive and also Semsi and Leman. Musto says Fatma hasn’t testified against him. She did, Resat says, she called her lawyer right away. She did it without hesitation.
Dinner is finished and Fatma comes out of her room with the wedding fabric. It’s time to start my dress she tells everyone. She spreads the fabric out on the floor. Muka makes Murat run from the table and then back, so the work will finish quickly. Muka brings Elif out and places her on the fabric with a “bismillah”. Rahmi says this is so you will have a baby soon. Fatma smiles at Kerim. Meryem asks Fatma if she has something in mind. I’ll know when I make the first cut, she replies.
Lale’s dog never stops barking and is getting on Peri’s nerves. Peri looks out the window and sees Yasar’s car leaving. She asks Resat about it. Uh, he came to bring me some files, Resat lies.
The Yasaran men read an article about Mustafa. Now they are harboring a criminal. Blah, blah, blah.
Hilmiye and Peri take a walk but Peri returns to the house because she is cold.
The men knock on Mustafa’s room. No answer. Munir opens and Yasar is in there. Musto clobbered him and escaped. We see a flashback on how it happened. Yasar says Musto took his phone and his gun. Just great! And even better, Peri has overheard. You hid a murderer in this house?!
The beginning of the therapy scene is cut: Fatma and Kerim arrive and Neziye says she will meet with Kerim for the first half and then Fatma will join. Neziye says she can go out and come back if she likes, but both Kerim and Fatma think it’s better if she stays in the office.
Kerim is nervous with Neziye and doesn’t know where to start. She helps him out. Since Fatma told me about you, why don’t you tell me about her. He takes his phone out and shuts it off. end cut.
The bell rings on the office door and the receptionist answers. A familiar voice says, I came with them. It’s Mustafa and he flashes a gun inside his jacket at Fatma. The receptionist goes to make tea. Musto threatens her, if you talk I will put a bullet in his head. I followed you from your house. Leave us alone, she whispers back.
He tells her, we are leaving together. Let’s go, we will talk outside. She won’t go. He threatens to shoot Kerim in the head again. Fatma gets up with a little help from Musto. The receptionist returns and Fatma says she will be back in 5 minutes.
They cut some of Kerim: I feel close to Fatma, like we’ve been together for a long time. but I can’t forget the thing that brought us together. My thoughts lead me back to that day. Fatma is moving forward, but I feel like I am moving backwards. And after Mustafa has fled, I started thinking more about the past.
Musto has brought Fatma down to the parking garage. She struggles and tries to scream but Musto has his hand over her mouth. She puts up a good fight and gets free but Musto catches her and slaps her down. He gets her down on the ground and puts a cloth to her face and she passes out. I don’t want to hurt you, he whispers, look what you made me do. He puts her in the car. Someone’s phone falls to the floor of the car. Musto drives off. This is the end of Turkish ep 63.
Cut: Neziye asks Kerim how long he knew the rotten ricos. We all went to the same elementary school, he replies. Neziye realizes this is hard for Kerim but in reality these were his friends. You were close until that night, right? Kerim nods. It was like that when we were kids. Everything is equal when you are kids. You are just friends.
More edits to Kerim’s session: Neziye asks, what is bothering you? Actually, I am mad at myself. After all these years passed…even after they moved to Istanbul, I felt the same way about them. But I was Kerim the blacksmith and they were the sons of the Yasarans and Namlis. Hanging out with them, spending a couple of months with them used to make me feel good about myself. Neziye says but you were just a kid. But I knew, Kerim says, they were using me. And I stayed quiet just to be close to them.
Peri rips into the men about having Musto in the house. She is furious. I can’t stand this anymore, she shouts. The garbage spreads with each step you take! Everything you do sinks us deeper! I don’t want to keep living like this! She storms off.
Musto makes a call to Kerim and leaves a message: if I wanted, I could have killed you a thousand times, but death would be an escape for you. I’ll give you the biggest punishment now. Fatmagul will return to me. From now on she will be where she belongs, by my side. Fatmagul is with me. Do you hear? We will never separate. Where I go, she will go with me. If we are going to die, we will die together. End message.
Musto gets rid of the sim card and the phone. He pulls up to a red light and reaches back and doses Fatma with whatever he used to put her to sleep. A cop car pulls up next to him at the light. He gets away with it.
Cut: Neziye asks when was the first time you saw Fatmagul? He remembers her herding the sheep in the water. Were they with you, Neziye asks. He nods yes. Then I saw her again at Selim’s house (on the stairs) I couldn't talk to her because Vural was there. And the engagement night, Neziye asks?
Kerim lets out a big breath and laments, it all happened because of me. Instead of blaming yourself, why don’t you tell me what happened, she asks. I was so proud to be with them, Kerim replies. I did everything to keep up with them, drinking, drugs. End cut.
Kerim says it was like a dream. I don’t remember anything. Then Fatmagul appeared out of nowhere. I pointed her out to them. Maybe she would have passed by if I didn’t. I caught her! Kerim starts crying. I turned her over to them. I am sure my guilty conscience will never leave me alone. There is no way I can get rid of this guilt. I feel this guilt even when she says she loves me. I want her to love me. I am in love with her. But I simply cannot forgive myself.
Erdo is complaining to Selim about Resat’s ingenious ideas. We are idiots [I second that] Why are we wandering around? What should we do, Selim asks. We should leave, run away, Erdo replies. If Musto is arrested we are finished. One more misstep and it’s over. If we run, that’s admitting guilt, Selim says, maybe we will find a way to save ourselves. Let my father raise his head again and restore Yasaran holding to its former glory. Then no one will be able to touch us.
Erdo is thinking about now, not the future. We are living with targets on our backs. And we don’t know what that lunatic Mustafa will do next.
And we are out.
Thanks so much, VVS, for another terrific recap. Love how you've skewered our cast of crazy people with your sharp wit! Also loved "flown the cukoo's nest".
I got a kick out of the "medicine woman" scene. I think the dizi writers have watched a few TNs. I can remember several scenes in Mexican novelas where someone ends up in a hut being fed foul tasting herbal drinks that save their lives. In those TNs the person brewing up the herbal drinks is usually an indigenous person. I was also thinking: What? no blood transfusion? How much blood did he lose being dragged out of the hole by Azat?
Of course Reyyan is completely safe. I remember the first scene on that swing and how risky those big pushes were that sent her over the edge of a big cliff. They could go with her jumping from the swing and surviving the fall, but I doubt it.
Pretty funny when HAG got sentimental about Miran as a child when she thought he'd finally cashed in his chips.
I loved Hazar going after Cihan. I have felt sorry for Cihan from time to time because of Nasuh's obvious preference for the elder son. [Is it because he knows he's Ayse's?] But that ruthless stalking of Miran, with some guys willing to murder for him, was awful.
VVS:
GREAT RECAPPING JOB!!

Thanks everyone for the great comments! Miran sure does seem to have nine lives! I am eager to see where the Aslan/Azize story line is going. Who is going to outsmart who? I am traveling for work so limited in time to comment more.
Thank you, dondi356.
Fatmagul and Kerim's slow dance scene at the bar that dondi mentions was cut:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upQ2IkOR6Yc
Just like in Fatmagul's dream.
Lovely song, thanks for the link.
Look at Fatmagul after the kiss. She forgot to take the outerwear off and went to her room wearing her winter coat and the snowy boots. Cute. Kerim sure makes her nervous.
When Hacer entered the restaurant it was snowy, wintery outside. When she exited it was clean, dry and sunny.
Fatmagul stayed with Kerim for the night. The relationship progresses, all the small steps add up. In many other shows the pair would end up sleeping on each other. Like if you watched "Todo por mi hija," Candan ended up sleeping on Demir's chest. I wouldn't mind it here.
Such a pleasant beginning of the episode and such an awful end.
Thank you Dondi! I so appreciate you and all your hard work giving us all the details, all the cuts, all the songs, YouTube vids, all of it! You're amazing!!!
Okay, it's probably horrible but as the end was unfolding I just kept thinking 'see I knew Mustafa was a better villain than Resat!' Bad I know, but I couldn't help it. That guy is creepy. I wonder what it would be like to look at that man and think, this is the person I used to be in love with? What was I thinking???
Uni's editors are incredible, but not incredibly good...what can they be thinking??? Maybe they are playing the take a shot everytime someone says 'I will kill you' game? Yeah, they are plastered and hitting buttons at random.
Muka was cute pretending Murat called Meryem. She's horrible but the actress has the best body language, they way she struts and her facial expressions. She cracks me up. And once again we see her intuition zero in as she guesses the kiss right away. Well maybe she guessed, she could have been spying again.
Even though he's a lesser villian Resat is horrible. Munir too. I really didn't think much about them through most of this because I don't care but you kind of get the impression in the beginning that they are or were normal men before this and are just trying to cover Selim and Erdo. But the longer things go on and the more you see them threaten, pressure, and blame innocent people the more you realize they are horrible people and surely were long before that night.
The valentine's stuff with Fatma and Kerim was so cute but once again happy for a few minutes and then straight back to another nightmare!
Maybe someone will kill Mustafa this time? I can hope right?
Perfect recap, VVS. Great details delivered with snark. Great read. "that Loca has flown the cuckoo's nest." – lol
Hahaha, Firat left in the dust again. I want to see him ride on the moto.
Poor Azize, all alone now. She thinks everyone hates her except for the grandson that’s not her grandson that’s probably her grandson.
I’ll stick with Mehmet shooting himself. But why did Nasuh say he did it?
I laughed all through the medicine woman scenes. Especially when she threw the ashes on Miran. I suppose I should be thankful there was no cowhide involved. “Embajador” viewers will never forget that.
ITA, VVS, two hours might help to move the story along, but it is brutal to recap.
Dondi ...ha....I just knew that you were thinking the sane thing that I was when the ancient medicine woman was working hee juju on finally quiet Mir. ....Sancar the giant burrito in La Hija.
Thank you for your kind words and comments.
Darcy, it’s good to see you keeping up with the patio. I know you’re going through a difficult stretch and I’m sending good vibes your way.
It seems like Uni is hellbent on ruining this show. Lol, Darcy, maybe they are playing a drinking game.
Thanks for the link, Lucio. Nice recall of Todo por mi Hija. Good catch on the weather change. I was so busy recapping I didn’t notice it in that scene. I think there was a couple of other scenes where the weather caused continuity problems. But they shoot an ep over a week and definitely out of order, so this is bound to happen.
Mustafa is a very interesting villain. He’s just been lucky so far. He’s a big coward and a continual screw up on the slow road to hell. And now he’s off his rocker. Resat is a bully and so full of himself. I enjoyed his all too short-lived depression. Selim is a weenie and Erdogan is a bastard.
I think novelera mentioned this and I might have to agree, Munir could be the worst. He obviously enjoys devising his devious plans and laughs with evil glee when he pulls them off. How he treated Fatma was despicable and unforgivable. He threw Kerim under the bus. The way he used Leman and tossed her aside was deplorable. I really don’t think he cares about anyone, it’s all about winning the game and of course making money.
Dear Dondi, so much happened in this last episode, and you gave us every detail. Things are beating up .
Mustafa has completely lost his marbles now. Kidnapping Fatma while Kerim is with the tberapist. Yikes. This guy is now officially BSC.
Who knew that Sami would become the voice of reason now !!! What a good friend he has become to Hacer. Giving him that money to help him to start a new life was money wellspent. Love Sami.
The look on Kerim's face when Fatmagul lay down beside him in his bed was pure shock and awe. It's the look that someone gets when he/she cannot believe the wonderful thing that is happening. So sweet.
Muk is relentless. She just has to call Meryem and Kadir on their honeymoon . When they return home , she has to pry about their noche de boda. geez. And, of course , she brings up Mustafa when she sees Kerim and Fat ma's smiling faces.
Fahr is also relentless , but in a good way . He continues to try to investigate to help Kerim and Fatma. Yay, Baba.
Darcy and Lucio, so happy to read your comments and know that you are enjoying this show . My favorite telenovela was Alborada for many years , but now Fatmagul has replaced it . I love everything about it..the writing, the acting, the scenery, the music, the look into Turkish life .
One thing I have noticed in all these Turkish dizis is that in offices , there are two chairs facing each other in front of the big desk. You see it all the time in every office . Interesting Tidbit of culture. In the U.S, the chairs face the main desk.
Hercai2: #45 - p 1 of 3
As the episode begins, we see Cihan again tell Hazar that Nasuh told him that he killed Mehmet. Hazar is stunned, upset, and very confused. He cries. Cihan says, "I've committed many mistakes, but I'd die to protect my family, and that includes Reyyan. I'll find her and bring her to you."
The scene shifts to Reyyan on the swing. She thinks, "Not even death will part us, Miran." Miran drives up, but she doesn't see him. She continues to think about death. "Here I go, my love. It's my turn. I will fall and hold you again. We will be together again. Without Miran, there is no Reyyan." As she is about to fly off the swing to her death, Miran comes up behind her and grabs her around the waist. She looks at him as if she can't believe what she sees. Finally, she says, "You didn't let me fall." He replies, "If you fell, I'd jump after you."
Aslan is driving and receives a text: "The well was empty. Miran is alive." He arrives at his destination at the same time as Azize and her group of thugs. (I'm not quite sure where they are.) She asks him to walk with her, and once they're alone, she confronts him: "Did you turn Hanife into a puppet to get revenge on the Sadoglu or were you seeking revenge on me?" He replies, "What about you, abuela? For which of your sons were you seeking revenge? For my uncle Mehmet, who was supposedly killed by Hazar? Or was it for the baby who died in the fire and no one knows about? What would happen if the Sadoglu find out what I know?" She asks whether he's threatening her. He claims he's not, he just wants an agreement. After all, they share the same blood. He continues, "I want just one thing, and if you make it happen, I'll leave you alone and you can have your venganza." After a pause, he says: "Reyyan."
Reyyan and Miran sit together near the swing. "Were you going to kill yourself?" he asks. "I thought you were dead," she replies. "I couldn't live with all that pain." Miran asks, "What about the others you'd be hurting? You have to keep living, with or without me." She tells him that he has to promise not to put himself in danger. He promises. He then goes on: "There are obstacles in life. Death is never the answer. I met a woman who made me see that my path in life was wrong. I held on to her, and now I know what I must do...and what I must not do."
Aslan and Azize continue to talk. He tells her, "You will delay your venganza and help me get what I want, and not tell Hazar that Miran is his son." She replies, "Some things are too hard even for my immense power: Forcing someone to fall in love with someone else." "Just leave that part to me," he says. He also tells her that she has no one else but him to continue her legacy. Then he leaves. After he leaves, she says, "You think you know your abuela, but you're wrong. Hanife and my children were indispensable, but they're all dead. There is one thing I must not lose: my venganza."
Cihan and Hazar enter the Sadoglu konak. Reyyan is not there. They are upset. (But didn't Cihan tell Hazar that he brought Reyyan back but she fled? So why are they surprised that she's not there?) Well, not to worry: in walks Reyyan. Hazar is overcome with relief. "I thought I'd lost you." Then Miran appears. Cihan glares at him and proclaims, "This man can not come here. I didn't do anything, but if he tries to set foot in this house...." Reyyan interrupts him: "Miran will never again enter this house, because I am leaving with the man I love. From now on, no one will manipulate us. And we're not divorced, and we'll never be apart again." [Hmm. What are the odds?]
Hercai2: #45 - p 2 of 3
Cihan asks, "You want to leave with a man who wants to kill your grandfather?" Reyyan replies, "Am I supposed to accept that my uncle will kill my husband? This is my father's house, and I will come whenever I want to see my family. I don't need anyone's permission." Melike comes carrying Reyyan's suitcase. Hazar goes to take it from her, but Azat takes it and carries it out to the car. As he leaves, he says to Miran, "I wish you a happy life." He then starts to walk away, but Miran calls out to him. "Azat, thank you for saving my life." Azat replies, "You saved me from the fire. Now we're even." As Azat walks away, he says under his breath, "Be happy, Reyyan. I wish you the best." Hazar asks Miran if he is all right. Miran looks as if he doesn't know what to say. He makes no reply. Reyyan gets into the car and they drive off.
Aslan talks with his mother, Sultana. He tells her "many things have changed." "Things?" Sultana asks, and then she slaps him. "Gonul is not a thing! She's your sister. Your revenge may be most important to you, but not to me." She leaves.
In the courtyard of the Aslanbey konak, Firat walks up to Azize. "You renounced Miran, Sra. Azize, and now I renounce you. With all you actions you've destroyed what little love and loyalty were left in me. In case you're interested, Miran is alive." "He's alive, thank God," says Azize. Firat continues, "From now on, neither my mother nor I will be at your service. You've lost us, too. Tomorrow morning, I will transfer everything that's in my name." He tells his mother, "Get ready. We're leaving this house tonight." Apparently he failed to talk this over with his mother first. Esma says, "Son...I...." Firat seems surprised. "What's going on, mom? I'm your son. Don't my words have importance to you?" He leaves the konak, saying as he leaves, Me das lástima, which means You pity me, you feel sorry for me. I'm not sure why he says this. I would almost expect him to say that he pities her or feels sorry for her. Oh well.... After he has left, Esma says, "It's for you, my son. So you'll be able to live."
Miran and Reyyan are in the car. Miran is driving. Reyyan wants to know where they're going. Miran is back to being his old, insufferable don't-worry-your-pretty-little-head-about-this self. He refuses to answer Reyyan's question. Alas, the powerful, assertive Reyyan we saw a few scenes earlier has morphed back into quiet, obedient Reyyan. She does put up a bit of resistance, however. "You promised me you'd do nothing dangerous, Miran." Miran continues to say nothing. I'm ready to slam his head against the steering wheel.
Gonul is on the upper level of the Aslanbey konak (I think). She had been sitting on the sofa being miserable, but now she has stood up. She thinks, "How happy I was in Kars, far from all this. From the venganza. From Reyyan. Now all my loved ones are under the earth: Miran, Elif, my brother." She gets up on the railing, and seems ready to jump. "All that is here is hate. I don't want to keep living in this hell. I wish to join Miran. Azize and Reyyan can stay here. I'll go to join the man I love." Suddenly Azat appears (at the Aslanbey konak? Or is Gonul at the hotel?) Azat yells out, "No! Don't do it, Gonul!" Gonul thinks he doesn't know how she feels, but he assures her he does. "I know because I too have lost someone. I too thought of ending it all, but I always found a reason to keep living. Life deserves a second chance." Gonul seems somewhat moved. Azat has tears in his eyes. Gonul sees this. (Carmella, I think you were predicting all along that Azat and Gonul would find each other, and it's beginning to look like you've been right.)
Hercai2: #45 - p 3 of 3
Reyyan and Miran are still in the car. "Are you sure, Miran, that you want to do this?" "As sure as I am of my love for you, he replies. They arrive at Aslan's. Aslan is reading a letter. His back is turned, and he doesn't see ReyMir approach. Miran calls out, "Aslan." Aslan turns and sees Miran pointing a pistol at him. "Reyyan told me everything," he tells Aslan. (I'm not sure what Reyyan told him. Perhaps his suggestion that he and Reyyan pretend they're engaged?) "It's not what you think," Aslan says. Miran keeps pointing the pistol. Then he pulls the trigger. Click! The gun was not loaded. (What was the point of this???) Miran tells Aslan, "You are looking for your family. I am looking for my family's assassin. Can we figure this out together?" Aslan agrees that "yes, we're on the same path." Reyyan quite deliberately takes Miran's hand.
Back at the Aslanbey konak, Azize thinks to herself that Miran will never abandon her. Sukran has a different opinion: "One day Miran wil leave you and will not come back." Azize replies, "He'll always come back to me." (Is there a gene for being delusional? If so, we can see where Gonul got it.) Miran and Reyyan enter the Aslanbey konak. Sukran greets them very warmly and is greeted warmly in return. Esma too is overjoyed to see them. Miran tells Sukran that he'll come see her soon. Right now he's going up to rest.
Azat brings a blanket and puts it around Gonul, who has come down from the railing. She tells him, "I shot Miran. He's dead." Azat informs her that Miran is not dead, and he reminds her that she had called him so he could come save Miran. Miran is OK. Azat then asks Gonul whether she was going to kill herself, like Elif. Gonul says she couldn't do it. Suddenly Sultana arrives and immediately goes after Azat. "First your father and now you. Stay away from my daughter!" Azat replies, "I haven't hurt her. It's you, only you. If you want to protect your daughter, don't destroy the little love she still has within her."
Miran tells Reyyan, "All the wounds of my past that I never thought would heal have been healed by you." Reyyan replies, "You healed me, too." She asks him whether he's feeling well. He tells her, "If you take me in your arms, I'll be better." She does so and sings to him in Turkish.
Aslan is at his house. He is holding a photo of Reyyan (I guess he didn't burn them all). He puts the photo away when Mahfouz comes in. Mahfouz asks whether Aslan has reached a decision. About what? Aslan asks. About Miran, replies Mahfouz. "Miran has taken a first step," Mahfouz points out. "You should follow suit and let him know he's a Sadoglu." "It's too soon," Aslan replies. "What are you up to?" asks a puzzled Mahfouz. "You have a chance to befriend Miran, so why waste it?" Mahfouz leaves. Aslan takes out the photo of Reyyan again and says, "I'm going to befriend Miran, but only to get Reyyan and then get the hell out of here." He stares intently at the photo as the episode ends.
Excellent recap Juanita! Thank you for your short and sweet detailed account. I do believe that Loca was at the hotel, which is where she went when she flew the coup from the cuckoo’s nest. Yeah, it’s really starting to look like her and Azat will find one another, two lonely hearts with equally crazy family members on both sides. Speaking of crazy, Nutbush #3 has played his hand. It’s all about Reyyan and getting back at Azize. Him and Azize are playing a game of cat and mouse right now, but we absolutely know who will win. I had high hopes for Aslan, but they’re not to be. Wonder who’ll get shot next? Him or Miran (again! Lol)
The scene between Reymir was really sweet. They do complement one another and their connection is worth Miran’s frequent outbursts. Their love is sorely being tested and going through growing pains at the same time. I love when Reyyan shows her bold side and is like “ mess with me and my man if you want too, but know this, I AINT HAVING IT! Lol. She looked like she was ready to rumble with Cihan, and I was cheering her on! I also love Azat’s acceptance and olive branch. Azat has such soulful eyes that express his feelings openly. Azat should rent himself out as a suicide prevention whisperer, and I’m glad he put Sultana in her place! She’s got a lot of nerve and is a lousy mother and person. Cihan and Handan don’t deserve Azat either, but they do deserve Yaren, haha.
And what exactly is it that Azize has on Esma? Why won’t Esma walk away from her? I think when Firat finds out that Esma knew all along that Miran is a Sadoglu, he may never speak to her again! Whatever it is that Azize has got on her, it must be really good!
Looking forward to Aslan’s next move and yes Juanita, what are the odds that Reymir will never be separated again???
Thanks again Juanita!
Juanita , thank you for another great recap of all the drama.
This is another Romeo and Juliet story . Mir magically surviving both bullets is outrageous , but I am okay with it because when you lose the love of your life , you have dreams of that person returning to you . This is a fantasy. In real life, you hope that love is stronger than death and that you will eventually be reunited . To quote a popular song " Living without you is driving me crazy; I cry like a baby. " So, I get it , and I like this fantasy.
I guess we all expected sadeyed Azat to talk Gonul down from the edge .Just like Mir appeared at the moment Rey was about to launch herself off that scary swing into the deep, deep abyss. My dad put up a couple swings when I was little , and I loved to swing , but he didn't put any of them on top of a mountain on The edge of a cliff .
What a great recap Juanita! I really appreciated the dialogue translation of those crucial discussions. Miran sure hasn’t missed a beat in his arrogant swagger. I think this latest drama he and Reyyan lived through, will finally solidify their relationship.
Gonul was on the hotel rooftop and should have just jumped. I think Azat deserves so much better.
Aslan negotiating with HAG is just dumb. She is way ahead of everyone. He is as crazy as his mom and sister. Reyyan is in danger.
Thanks Juanita!!
Many thanks, Carmella, Susanlynn, and VVS, for your helpful and insightful comments.
Carmella, thanks for answering my question about whether Gonul was at the hotel or at the konak. At first I really thought she was at the konak, but as soon as I saw Azat, I thought the hotel was more likely. However, it being fairly late at night, I decided not to go back and change what I had said earlier. I too love the bold Reyyan who is willing to confront Cihan and Azize. And I admire Azat's basic decency and courage. As for Esma, it's hard for me to imagine what keeps her seemingly on Team Azize in spite of all she knows. Perhaps Azize has made it clear that Firat's life depends on Esma's loyalty. And as for Nutbush #3, yikes!!
Susanlynn, yes, in some ways we do seem to have a Romeo and Juliet story, but one, I hope, that will have a different ending. I love your describing Azat as "sadeyed Azat." It captures both his appearance and his personality so well. It also makes me think of a college course I had in which we read Homer and discussed his use of epithets, such as "rosy-fingered dawn." And yes, I did think that sadeyed Azat would save Gonul, but I wasn't 100% sure. I recall dondi356 saying that Turkish dizis didn't always have HEA endings. (Of course, that also makes me somewhat worried about ReyMir, but....) Anyway, I couldn't imagine a character as decent as sadeyed Azat have two women he cares about kill themselves.
VVS, I'm not a big Gonul fan, but I'm glad she didn't jump. I strongly agree with you that Azat deserves someone better, but, as I say above, he also doesn't deserve to have another woman he has tried to help wind up committing suicide. And yes, last night's episode seems to have made it clear that Aslan is Bad News and most definitely a danger to Reyyan. I suspect Miran will soon come to regret that he didn't load the gun before going to see Aslan. (I still don't really understand the point of his pulling the trigger on an unloaded pistol was.)
JUANITA: THANKS FOR EXCELLENT RECAP!!
Aslan run! run- run away.!!. get out now... your granny will kill and eat you...AZIZE is just-about -ready -to kill REYYAN. That name must be driving her cray cray!!!
Aslan... I hope you 'Dug' that Reyyan was standing 'Gangster-next -to-her-man'..she is a RIDE-OR-DIE Chick!!
sorry... but the writers DROP THE BALL with the Aslan story line.. a big build up to NOTHING!!!I AM PIS@#$%ED-OFF!!!!!!!
Juanita, that was one fantastic recap! Such great descriptions!
So, every other time that swing has been, IIRC, in full view of the road up to it. Last night the writers decided to have Miran park out of sight of it and run a while, clutching his wounded body, and barely catching her before she jumps?
Too bad Aslan and Gonul are sister and brother. They'd make the perfect couple and could spend their years, delusional together, longing for Reyyan and Miran.
After Miran was pretty controlled at the Sadoglu konak and with Aslan, is there any chance Angry Bangs is gone forever?
So...apparently Azize's grandchildren are dispensable. Only her sister and her sons matter.
Melike sure knows how to do a quick packing job. Hope she remembered Reyyan's toothbrush.
I was wondering. To whom is Firat transferring that financial power of attorney? Miran? Can't believe he'd give it to Azize. And, yes, Esma drives us nuts. Azize must have flat threatened to kill Firat if she ever left her side.
We have had some really slow suicide attempts. Both Gonul and Reyyan gave us looong soliloquies prior to jumping, giving plenty of time for the rescuers to arrive.
I'm stuck at work. Haven't even watched Tuesday's show yet. I don't think I can get a recap up anytime soon. So go ahead and discuss. It's an exciting episode for sure. I can fill in the cuts once I watch. Hopefully I can recap today's show tomorrow.
Thanks for all your hard work on the recaps. I am caught up, except for today's (Wed) which I will watch soon. Yes, it certainly has been exciting. I can't believe how Mustafa has gone so completely to the dark side. They didn't kill him off, so I fear another attempt to get his hands on Fatmagul. And, it's sad how her trauma has re-appeared when she was doing so well.
I am pretty steamed about Telemundo going back to 2 hours. The first two-hour one will be my night to recap, Thursday.
I am not feeling well and will get a COVID test in the morning. Hopefully it's just a cold. But this is to say that I won't be putting up any looong recap tomorrow. I may not have done so even if I felt perfectly healthy. FYI, I have had all three Moderna shots.
I read on-line that Hercai has had the best ratings on Telemundo, so I guess they're riding it for all its worth.
Feel better novelera. Looking forward to your recap anyway, no matter how short and snarky, lol. 2 hours is a bit much ! Doesn’t surprise me Hercai is #1….. let’s see how Pasion de Gavilanes 2 does……….
Definitely an exciting episode! And horrible as Novelera said all that trauma resurfacing right when Fatma was doing so well. So horrible.
Mustafa is so sure he is in love with Fatma but of course no one would treat someone they loved like that! He showed zero concern for her whatsoever as he tortures her, forces her to listen to how that night ruined his life and blames her for it!! I hope he dies.... slowly!
I thought it was really interesting that when Mustafa went to get Fatma new clothes he brought her pants. We have never seen her in pants, not once in this entire show. So it makes you wonder, why pants? I doubt she wore them before the events of that night either, so does he know so little about his 'true love's that he doesn't realize she doesn't wear pants, or is it serving some other practical purpose??
The actor playing Rhami was phenomenal in that scene by the lake/river. So heartbreaking!!
Fahr to the rescue, he is certainly a very good detective! He knew to follow Kerim when he saw him.
It was interesting to me when we see Kerim go into Fatma's room and she is thinking about how she did nothing and she couldn't shoot Mustafa even when she thought he was going to kill Kerim. It's not the same thing I know, but when I watched that I couldn't help but see the pararell. When Fatma was raped Kerim was like frozen and horrified and did nothing to stop it. Mustafa nearly kills Kerim right in front of her and she's frozen and horrified and can do nothing. Again it's not the same thing, but I have never been able to understand how it could be possible for Kerim to do nothing on that night and when I saw this I thought, well yeah maybe that is how it would happen...
Novelera, I hope you feel better soon!
Dondi, thank you, I am very grateful to have this patio to come to and take a few minutes break from reality. I tend to get up much earlier than my mom and grandma so most days I can watch Fatma before they wake. I just watch one day behind so I can watch early in the morning instead of when it is actually broadcast.
Thanks very much, Halimacandy and novelera, for your insightful comments.
Halimacandy, I too am puzzled by the way Aslan's story line is being developed. But I'm not angry with the writers. I rather like the idea that everything isn't straightforward and clear cut. There's so much I wonder about. What role will Mahfouz play (aside from being Reyyan's bio dad)? Who is Aunt Fusun (I don't remember her name exactly, but I think it started with Fu) and what is her role? Who is Harun--we know almost nothing about him that's been verified. What really happened on the night Hazar was shot (and who shot him?)? These questions keep me interested more than the romance between Reyyan and Miran.
Novelera, I'm glad you mentioned that somehow, Miran managed to park out of sight of the swing. I remember thinking that Reyyan would see his car arrive, and I was puzzled when she didn't. Did he deliberately try to keep his arrival a secret? That could have had tragic consequences. And I too wondered to whom Firat would transfer the power of attorney. Above all, I LOVED your observation that, were Gonul and Aslan not brother and sister, "they would make the perfect couple and could spend their years, delusional together, longing for Reyyan and Miran." YES!!

Hag drops Sultan at Aslans’ hideaway….where he’s prepping one of his letters for the Sadoglu mansion this time. Mahfuz’s surprises entrance to announce Sultana startles Aslan so he drops his tea cup to floor. Mahfuz stays behind to clean it up…taking the opportunity to snoop. Apparently Aslan has a medical issue he’s keeping under wraps.
Outside… mother and son chat.....with Sultana trying to convince him to leave Midyat. He appears to agree… and when Mahfuz walks up….he tells him to prep for their departure. Mahfuz is confused…they still have unfinished business including Miran not knowing who his father is. Aslan states he’s taken steps ..everyone will be happy…sending Sultana back to her house to prep to leave tomorrow. She’s content by what he’s committed to do …including updating Gonul.
Back at the Sad sack….Yaren appears to be the object of some type of ritual. She’s under a blanket…while a woman chants something about protection. Harun…is holding Handan’s baby…pretending to care about the ceremony but is actually texting Aslan about his whereabouts. Whatever the ritual is…it doesn’t appear to go the way Handan expected but the woman leading it indicates that perhaps Yaran is not under the spell of the evil eye…not completely anyway. Meanwhile Yaren and Harun give each other the eye…wanting to escape but they are stuck…they have to endure the ceremony all over again. They are interrupted by a “text” from Hanife…indicating she’s not coming back. Handan is insulted by the text saying “Hanife is dead to us”. This statement is not lost of Harun who now as to sit for his part of the ritual

Meanwhile….Reyan learns that Miran is sending a car to bring her to him.
Elsewhere…Sultana and Cihan meet. She wants the page from the diary in exchange for some very valuable info. He agrees to hand it over and stay quiet....in exchange …he learns that Hanife is Hag’s sister.
Meanwhile, Hag continues her attempt to get Aslan to forget about Reyan and leave. He’s tired of the same old conversation. …but Hag tells him sooner or later Miran will be after him once he figures out he wants Reyan….she doesn’t understand why he’d risk his life for her. He’s the only Aslanbey heir. He’s defiant but doesn’t realize she’s walked them to an area where he’s now surrounded by her men. She tells him he was able to fool his mother but not his grandmother. He can’ believe he’s being kidnapped. It’s for his good she says…he’s playing with fire. He’s no match for her henchmen as they drag him off. He gave her no other options.
The end
Nett
Many thanks, Nett, for this terrific recap! It helped clarify some things I was unsure about.
I enjoyed watching Miran with Zehra's baby (does she have a name?). He seemed to get real pleasure in being with her and holding her. This is one of the few times I've seen Miran truly happy and at ease with someone other than Reyyan. I guess Gul, too, gives him joy.
I was struck by how cold Zehra seemed to Sukran. Is it just that Sukran is Dilsah's mother, and Zehra knows how much Hazar loved Dilsah?
When Miran gets a phone call while he's with the baby, I assume the call was from someone Miran had asked to keep watch on Aslan. He wants to know everything Aslan does, where he goes, etc. I think that may be how Miran knew where to go to see Aslan meet with Azize.
Aslan troubles me more and more. He's having super security installed in the house he's planning to live in with Reyyan. On the one hand, he's well aware that Miran would try to get her back, so he needs super security to prevent Miran from gaining access to the house. But I couldn't help but wonder whether putting bars on the windows (if I heard what he said correctly) would also be a way to prevent Reyyan from leaving.
I think Hazar's seeing the photo of Dilsah tells him that she was pregnant before she was married, and the baby didn't die. Does Dilsah look a little pregnant in the photo? Be that as it may, I think Hazar is coming closer to believing that Miran is his son.
I was amused when Miran told Reyyan that he was going to talk to Gonul. Reyyan's hesitations had to do with Miran's safety (Gonul, after all, did try to kill him). But I immediately thought about how different the scene would be if Reyyan had told Miran that she was going to talk to, say, her cousin Azat, or Harun, or virtually any male under the age of 80. Over and over again, we've seen how quickly and explosively Miran would respond in a jealous rage.
I was glad to see Gonul remove her necklace with the photos of Miran and her and give it to her mother. That's an enouraging sign that she may be getting over her obsession.
Where is Nasuh if he's not in Derik?
So Azize arranges for Aslan's kidnapping in order to protect him. I wonder what Miran would have done had he witnessed this. I don't think he did, however. We saw him heading off while Aslan and Azize were still just talking.
Again, thanks very much, Nett.
(((Darcy)))...hang in there. This is a warm, safe place to retreat to for a little while from harsh reality and decompress. I love to read your thoughts about each episode of this show. I have seen the show before, but I jumping around and often didn't see entire episodes. These past few episodes about the kidnapping are intense. Every view of Kerim shows how helpless and distressed he feels . Viewers can relate to that feeling of helplessness in real life situations with loved ones . I know I can.
Like you, I noticed that Mustafa gave Fatmagul pants even though we have never seen her wear them. Was it because of The cold? You can see their breath when they are talking in the abandoned warehouse ?
You made a great comparison of Fatmagul freezing and not being able to shoot Mustafa to save Kerim and kerim freezing and not saving Fatmagul from those awful guys . I also thought that Kerim was so drunk and perhaps never having taken drugs before that he was really out of it .
Seeing Fatmagul back in the loving embrace of Kerim and her family was heartwarming .
Another great recap! Thank you Nett! Starting to get to the nitty gritty of this drama, but it still seems like there’s a long way to go! How cute was that baby! Adorable! But how in the world is Miran going to protect her when he doesn’t know any better to NOT leave a baby in the edge of the bed! Had she rolled over, BOOM, she would’ve hit the floor! Still, I enjoyed his conversation with her, so cute! I agree that Zehra was a little cold to Granny Sukran, but why I have no idea? Maybe she had some postpartum thingey going on. To know Granny Sukran is to love her.
Hazar looks like he’s a little bit on the brink of madness too! I hope he finds out that Miran is his son without a doubt so he can stop running around looking lost and crazy. We know Miran is going to reject him anyway, but the sooner that deal with it, the better.
So nutbush #3 is on psych meds, surprise, surprise! With Azize kidnapping him, he’s about to get crazier cause he won’t be able to take his meds. His “fortress” for him and Reyyan shows just how delusional he is even on meds! Yup, it would be great if him and Gonul weren’t brother and sister! Lol! What a pair!
Looks like Gonul may be coming down off her crazy though, and I’m glad Miran forgave her. It gives her the courage and opportunity to really move on with her life. I’m so glad she told Miran everything too. How introspective it was for Miran to realize that Azize had written him off as a child. She never intended for him to have a future and to especially fall in love. Azize is so wicked and I want to see her timber moment with relish in my heart and a “now take that!” gleam in my eye!
Aslan, Aslan, Aslan!! Who’s crazier and smarter than you??? AZIZE! Lol
Thanks again Nett!!
Mustafa's quotes:
If you say a word I will enter there and put a bullet in him. Come or I will blow your husband's brains out. Quiet, I don't want to hurt you, just enter the car. Slap. Shut up. You are in a place where nobody will find you, you can cry all you want. I planned it for days.I wanted to take you with me. My plan was to live with you forever. From now on nobody will separate us. We will be together forever. If needed we will die together. I can keep you by force. Don't make me hurt you. Shut up. Don't make me gag you. After tying her, now we will talk calmly like the old times, like nothing bad happened. We are in a place where nobody will find us, don't dream about it. Don't look at me like that, I am not your enemy. And you are going to be my wife, my woman. If only I earned more that year, if I finished the house earlier, we would have married. You wouldn't have been alone that night. I was building the house that you dreamed of. You would have cooked my favorite dishes. If he didn't separate us. I said sorry for leaving you, but you took his hand and went with him. You preferred him. You did me a lot of harm. I felt betrayed. And also I felt shame, you decided to marry one of those monsters. You can't imagine how much I suffered. Nobody will find you, I swear, know it. You told the police about me. I became the killer to clear your honor. You try to pay me back for having abandoned you. And now you are begging me to come back to him. You cry for him in front of me. Do you love him so much? Tell me that no. Say that you only do it to hurt me, tell me that you still love me. Tell me! I saw you talking with a man at the party and later I learned it was Kerim. I was very jealous. I got furious. They forced us to do this. Why don't you want to believe me. I wasn't a bad person. It has been your fault. All I did was for you. It is your fault I had to leave the life I lived, and it is your fault I will not be able to live calmly. You married one of them. You judged me and punished me, but you forgave him. The death of Vural was an accident. But I shot Kerim on purpose. He told you by phone he loved you and I desired to kill him. But then I thought death would be a form of escape. My vengeance should be more cruel. I wanted to cause him great pain. And what is it that will make him suffer the most? I don't care about one more sin on my list. Our next step may be underground, but if I die you die with me. We will never separate. I assure you we will be together till death. I will cause Kerim suffering greater than death. What do you think will hurt him most? Both of us have no escape. No matter how much you yell, nobody will hear you.
I was told you were dirty. Stop crying. Fatmagul, don't be afraid of me, love me. Love me please. Why don't you love me like before? Am I worse than Kerim? Now you are his loved wife. You get in bed with him, how can you? He hasn't touched you because you are mine. You still love me. Don't be stubborn. You are mine and will always be. Nothing can change this reality. You cry for him. You know that you will never see him again. Because either you come with me or we will not leave this building alive. Don't make things more difficult. Our lives are in your hands. We can go right now, but tell me you still love me. Accept to be only mine, my wife. We will leave when things calm down.
Lucio....wow, thank you for every word of Mustafa's awful stream of consciousness ramble . He has definitely gone around the bend and has sunk into delusion. The one true thing he said was that losing fatmagul, especially to death, would be worse than death to Kerim.
Nett, thank you for a great recap as the crazy just keeps spinning .
Perhaps that was some kind of fertility ritual since Handan knows that Yaren has not slept with Harun. Yikes . The evil eye ...ha....Yaren doesn't need any help to be evil
That baby ( name ???) Is adorable , but I watched nervously as Mir was with her because he doesn't seem very comfortable with baby care . He held her awkwardly and had her close to the edge of the bed. Yikes.
Okay , next..Azz is going to imprison her golden boy to keep him safe and sound . Rapunzel, let down your hair so that I may climb he golden stair. One more weird storyline .
Great insightful comments on the patio as usual. Lots of little splices here and there. There were a few small things, like some reaction shots, they could have left in.
Ugh! Mustafa blames Fatmagul for everything that happened to him! I am glad Fatma told him he did it all to himself, by himself!
Why does Hacer cry over that a-hole, when she has dependable Sami by her side?
Don’t know if this is true, but I had read that Beren was sick when this scene was filmed. Maybe that’s why they put pants and a sweater on her.
Thanks, Lucio, for posting the dialog with cuts in the convo between Musto and Fatma. I want to add that Fatma shouted back, I am not sleeping in anyone’s bed! Kerim didn’t touch me, and he won’t until I want him to. And then at the end of the scene, Fatma shouts, I don’t love you! She cries out, I hate you all! Damn you all! She wasn’t afraid. She was angry.
Cut: The despicable Muka brings Rahmi tea and starts to comfort him. But then she says what if Musto did “you know what” to Fatma. Imagine Kerim’s reaction. Will he still stand by her? We will have to leave the city. This is his abla’s house after all. We won’t be wanted here. We will be the ones suffering as usual. Rahmi blows up, my sister is missing! And all you think about is yourself! That’s not nice! Don’t take it out on me, Muka replies, I’m being realistic. Don’t talk about my sister like that, he shouts. Thankfully, Murat wakes up and so does Elif and that ends the convo.
Turkish ep 64 ended with Fatma holding the gun on Musto and then we heard the gunshot.
Nice moment with Kerim and Fahr in the ambulance.
Fahr and his crew (original recappers/commenters referred to them as the Gray Mafia…lol) are sharper than the Istanbul police.
So heartbreaking Fatma telling Meryem it was like reliving that night, and Kerim was listening at the door.
Yes, Darcy, good observation on the parallel of Fatma being unable to shoot Musto and Kerim freezing and not saving Fatma that night. Maybe there is a little more of an understanding between them now.
Will try to get a Wed recap up later today.
Had to play catch up on this, too. Thank you Juanita, I enjoyed your very well written and helpful recap. Thanks to Nett, too, for a short, sweet and to the point recap.
I hope you are feeling better soon, novelera. You shouldn’t worry about the recap if you are not well.
No idea on the baby’s name. But I was waiting for her to start crying the way Miran was holding her. Why would they leave a baby alone with him on a bed while he was sleeping anyway?
Is Aslan undergoing treatment for mental illness? If not, he should.
Yaren undergoing a check for the evil eye…lol She’s just plain old evil. That scene reminded me of some of the older generations in my family. They had checks and remedies for the evil eye, too!
“But I immediately thought about how different the scene would be if Reyyan had told Miran that she was going to talk to, say, her cousin Azat, or Harun, or virtually any male under the age of 80.” I thought the same exact thing, Juanita.
We are definitely getting Gonul and Azat since we now have Aslan who will try to keep ReyMir apart.
I was surprised that Kerim and Fatmagul didn't immediately fly into each other's arms as soon as Mustafa ran away. That is what I expected to see.
Muk thinks of the worst thing to say in every situation ...and immediately intentionally says it . She seems to enjoy making people uncomfortable and upset. Why? She does the exAct opposite of a quote I love, " When in doubt, do the kindest thing . "
NETT:......... GREAT JOB RECAPPING..!!
YES... THE BABY has more sense than Moron..
Yes...Shukrun and Zeharani ..had a very tense encounter..espec.on little momma/Ummi's part.......
Team: Zehrani and baby Ayse..[Nasul's Ummi's /mother's name] ... and Azize 's real name... a hot mess!!!! all around!!
Like the mountain healers and Sukruni says: 'Bish-Mi-lah'..[In the name of Allah. Let us begin] ....
Like the Lady healers, we have seen a few so far...they have done their part to ward off the Evil Eye/Shirk [ Miran's treatment plan / Harun's baby curtains]
... and prepare TAWEEZ/TALISMANS. Everybody has Zhikr beads, protective magic.
Harun's procuring a woman performing Divination / scrying with healing bowls. [with Quranic sayings/of course!!]
I think that ritual was more of a television adaptation of Divination. It was pretty mild. As to not offend the more conservative viewers....
.. and given Hag is Shirk/evil in a dress..Shaytani's God mother... they need all of the protection they can get...
Aslan you forgot that... a fatal flaw...goodbye!!!
Cihan and Sultana...gear up and little better than this!!
Thanks so much, Nett. Excellent recap! I thought Zehra was uncomfortable with Sukran because she is Dilsuh's mother. In her heart Zehra knows that Dilsuh was the true love of Hazar's life.
I have noticed for several episodes that they have Sukran in a different house than the one she was in before (in that village where she lives). The first one had an entrance at ground level with a blue door. Now they've shown her entrance up high, after a flight of stairs. These are the same stairs that Hazar climbed last night when he thought Reyyan might be there.
Did Aslan build that house from scratch or simply buy it and have the security installed. There's nothing else around. And in either case, where does he get all the money he spends?
Hanife being HAG's sister is not the hottest news Sultana could have exchanged for the page from Elif's diary. She could have told Cihan Miran is Hazar's son!
I believe Hazar called Ali, his usual ally in finding things out. IIRC he wanted to meet up with him because he had an older car, with a tape deck inside. [I am hanging on tight to my car with a CD player inside. When I've had to rent one, there's no CD player any more. How can I play my Vicente Fernandez CD's without a player in the car?]
Yep, Aslan is a definite Nutbush. Sounds like some of you think they could be anti-depressants or medication for bi-polar disease. Could he just be a plain old opioid addict?
Here's something I've been wondering for weeks and forgetting to post. What's with all the birds? I smell symbolism. In nearly every episode there is an outdoor scene and a flock of birds takes flight. Fatmagul was feeding some birds in the house they lived in before they moved in with Kadir.
Thanks, Lucio, for putting up those ghastly words of Mustafa. Yes, it always is someone else's fault. I thought he specifically said Kerim hadn't touched her and based that on when he came to their other house and, IIRC, saw her through the window sleeping with Murat.
I hope they manage some sort of HEA for Hacer. And a long, slow, painful death for Munir. That was just awful..his threatening to tell her family about her "line of work". Do we think he arranged for the ex-husband from Germany to show up there?
I am really enjoying Kerim and his father becoming closer.
The screws are tightening on the Yasaran. I'm surprised Selim hasn't murdered Erdogon by now on that "Road Trip from Hell".
Novelera, how awesome would it be if Selim and Erdogon killed each other? Some big fight where they both have a gun (to protect each from the other) and they simultaneously shot and both die. That would be awesome!
