Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #69
Part 1 of 4

Sneaky Cihan parks on the side of the Aslanbey konak and is intercepted by Azize and her sidekick. He demands to know why she is following him. She demands to know why he is trying to blame the death of Harun on her. Cihan tells her to leave him alone but Azize tells him that they have found his man and he talked. Cihan claims he didn’t kill Harun, maybe not says Azize, but you are protecting who did and I will find out who that is. From the car, she has Mahmut haul out the guy who swiped her cell phone and puts him in front of Cihan who tries hard not to react.

At the new konak of Hope, Miran is excited to show Reyyan the finishing touches on all the rooms. He opens the door to a beautiful bedroom that he designed for Dilsah. They are both excited to have her join them and he seems to have calmed down a bit. Reyyan tells him that soon he and Dilsah will truly be mother and son. He thinks it all feels like a dream. Good Grannie’s room is downstairs and Umut’s room in next to their room. He left that room to decorate together.

What about a room for Azra? Asks Reyyan. Her room will also be downstairs and he will show her all of those rooms, but first, a surprise! With her eyes closed, Miran maneuvers her into their bedroom. Reyyan is very excited but warns him if she doesn’t like it, she will change everything. Opening her eyes, she sees that Miran has outdone himself and replicated what she redecorated at the Aslanbey bedroom. The room is beautifully decorated, with a lot of natural light and hopefully an adjoining bathroom. ReyMir hug and she thanks him for making her so happy.

He asks the million-dollar question, does she like it? Rey teases that it could use some tweaking. He asks for only one thing as he walks her back to the new bed. She makes excuses that their parents will be there soon and he as to go pick up Azra at the airport (guess he found her) and she has to cook for their guests. He is not having any excuses and wants to enjoy the private time on their new bed in their new home. They snuggle and kiss. A knock on the konak front door ends the romance time and an annoyed Miran heads down to see who ruined the moment.

Miran answers the door telling the guy standing there that there are 24 hours in the day and he had to choose this very one to knock on the door? The guy is very nervous and stutters that he is looking for Miran. Miran realizes who the guy is and introduces Lutfi, the new chef, to Reyyan.

At Casa Esma, Azize answers the knock on the door. It is couple giving sweets after a funeral to honor the deceased. (The guy looks strangely familiar). Azize begins to take a bite but spits it out as her phone rings, it is Fusun. Seven days have passed since Harun was killed and she has made a decision to hurt the family of the person who killed him. She tells Azize that she has until prayer time to say goodbye as one of her family will pay the price for Harun’s death. Azize frantically calls Mahmut and tells him to gather up all the men to protect the Sadoglu casa and Miran’s new home.

Reyyan is arranging lilies in a vase in Dilsah’s room. Miran excitedly comes to get her because their guests are arriving. Together they answer the knock on the konak. They welcome the smiling Hazar, Good Grannie and the still uncertain Dilsah to their new home. It is a nice moment with Miran taking Dilsah to her new room, hugging Hazar and Reyyan walking GG to her new bedroom. The beautiful family moment is ruined by the pathetic Zehra spying down from the Sad rooftop next door.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #69
Part 2 of 4

Talking out loud, Zehra asks herself if she is really jealous of her own child’s happiness? She sighs loudly and prays for comfort. (Whatever Zehra). Handan joins her up on the rooftop but is interrupted by a call from Seyda saying that Yaren has gotten worse and Handan needs to come back to the Aslanbey konak. She rushes off to her crazy daughter.

Dilsah is in the sitting room looking very uncomfortable. Reyyan brings her a glass of water and tells her she is planning on cooking kabobs with onions for dinner. Rey hopes that Azra will enjoy it. Dilsah brightens up telling Rey that Azra loves onions and she used to eat hot peppers one after another even getting sick one time after eating too many. I was so scared, says Dilsah. Don’t be sad, says Reyyan. When you get sad, it makes Miran sad.

Miran shows up at the open door and hears the conversation. Dilsah laments that she doesn’t know Miran at all, not the food he likes or the side of the bed he sleeps on or what his best subject was in school. Smiling, she tells Rey that she does know her daughter very well. Miran listens and looks hurt by his mother’s comments. The ever-optimistic Reyyan tells her that she will get to know Miran and he will get to know her as well. Dilsah says she only knows her daughter.

Miran comes in the room and tells Dilsah that she will see her daughter soon. He is going to bring her. Reyyan gets a call and looking very guilty, she tries to silence it. It is Azize. Miran notices her nervousness and demands to know who is calling her. He grabs her phone and calls Azize back and then having a Mr. Meltdown moment, demanding that Azize never call Reyyan again. He then turns his angry bangs emoting on to poor Reyyan, yelling and scaring Dilsah. He manages to get a grip and apologizes to Reyyan. He tells his mother that he is off the pick up her daughter. She smiles and follows him out the door, they both smile at each other. It does look like progress.

Miran calls for his car. The guard who drives up in a black sedan is unfamiliar to the recapper and should raise red flags for Miran. Miran asks why this car and not his? The guard says he thought this was his car and offers to go get the SUV. Miran checks his watch and says he is running late. He hops in the car and drives off while the guard/Fusun henchman calls his mistress to inform her Miran took the bait car.

Meanwhile, Nasuh and Azize/Ayse meet in a back alley. Ayse pleads with Nasuh to make sure Hazar and Miran are safe she is going to deal with Fusun. Nasuh is not convinced but realizes that they will not listen to her. Azize/Ayse jumps out of the car, back to her car and drives off. A worried looking Nasuh does the same.

Back at the cuckoos nest, Handan has arrived to find that Yaren has been scrubbing her hands non-stop all morning. She pulls Yaren out of the bathroom and sits her crazy looking daughter on the bed. Yaren promptly begins to hear Harun’s voice asking why she killed him and talks back to him, clearly freaking out Seyda.

Azize urgently knocks on the Hope konak front door. Reyyan answers and Azize immediately wants to know if she and Miran are okay? Reyyan tells her Miran is out and Azize goes into full panic mode saying that the time is coming to an end. She again pleads with Reyyan to understand that she has changed and just wants to help. Dilsah watches this exchange as Reyyan tries to help Azize in for some water to calm her down.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #69
Part 3 of 4

Azize heads back up the road and Reyyan tries to call Miran. Rey looks up and sees the upset Dilsah. Reyyan knocks on the locked bedroom door asking Mother Dilsah to come out and understand the Azize meant no harm. GG shows up and wonders why Reyyan is talking to Azize after Miran told her not too. Dilsah opens the door and tells Reyyan to stop calling her mother, she is nothing to her. GG is surprised by this comment as Dilsah closes the door in poor Reyyan’s face.

Fusun, in one of her torture chambers, takes a call from Azize who begs her to listen. Fusun tells her to follow the car behind her and she will listen to everything Azize has to say. The white car passes Mahmut and Azize instructs him to follow.

At the airport, Miran awaits the arrival of Azra. A lovely young lady exits the building and they call to each other. Azra? Miran? Yes, they both say. Miran takes her bag as they walk to the car. (I notice the red scarf tied to her wrist looks very similar to the one on the hand that stopped Reyyan from swinging in that strange dream during Friday’s episode).

Azize arrives at Fusun’s den of evil. Fusun offers her halva from Harun’s seven-day memorial, saying that it isn’t often the killer gets to eat the halva from their victim. Azize says she did not kill Harun. It doesn’t matter, Fusun has her henchmen tie up and gag Azize.

I thought long and hard about who you love most Azize, she says. First, I thought about Nasuh, but that love is in the past, then Hazar, but he is grown and lived his life. I have settled on Miran, your true grandson, although he is really like a son to you. Miran has ten minutes left to live. Too bad the visitor he picked up at the airport has to die, but oh well, say Fusun. Azize struggles to say something through the gag tied around her mouth.

In the car, Miran and Azra chat. She is surprised to learn that Miran is alive and says that Dilsah suffered so much because she thought Miran was dead. Miran says it has all been a surprise to all of them as he thought Dilsah was dead as well. In the discussion, Miran discovers that Azra wanted Dilsah to come with her but Dilsah refused. Azra is shocked to hear Miran say that it was Azize who kept Dilsah locked up for 10 years. She laughs and says, Aunt Azize? No way. Miran says nothing more, except that Dilsah is so excited to see Azra again. He misses a call from Reyyan.

Reyyan is sitting at the set dinner table waiting. She continues to try to call Miran but he does not answer. She gets up from the table and breaks a glass. She looks very disconcerted. (In the Turkish episode on Friday, there was a lot more decorating of the konak scenes where Reyyan was afraid that if something broke, it would bring bad luck).

Clearly, this broken glass is not a good sign as we see a dump truck driving fast down the same road Miran and Azra are on. The driver seems intent on going faster as he switches gears.

Fusun removes the gag out of Azize’s mouth. Quietly, Azize says, you already lost your son but you have one more child. If you don’t stop your men and make sure Miran is not hurt, you will never see your daughter again. Do you understand? You will never find out where your daughter is.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #69
Part 4 of 4

Fusun cannot contain her gaseous look of contempt. What are you saying? Then more nervously, I don’t have a daughter. Yes, you do, says Azize, and I am the only person who knows where she is right now. Call your men off and I will exchange my grandson for your daughter.

The dump truck driver continues down the road and does not see or hear the call coming in from Fusun because the music is too loud in the truck.

Reyyan enters her bedroom. The wind has opened a window and is blowing the curtains. She closes the window and lies down on the bed.

Azize is back in the car after being released by Fusun and tries calling someone. Frustrated, she tells Mahmut to drive faster.

Fusun continues to try and call the truck driver but he does not hear the call. Frustrated, she tosses her phone to the floor.

Reyyan awakens to the wind blowing through the open window. In a déjà vu she gets a call from Azize, looks terrified, drops her phone and heads out of the konak. Luckily, Hazar is arriving from somewhere and she tells him, Miran…they jump in the car and head toward the airport.

Dilsah jumps awake and grabs her chest in fear. Azize continues to look very concerned from the back seat of the car. Reyyan and Hazar are driving directly behind the large truck, Fusun is actually crying (I think one tear counts). Miran sees the bright lights of the large truck heading directly toward his car. What the hell? He shouts as the truck plows into him and Azra even as Miran swerves to avoid the head on collision.

Reyyan and Hazar witness the accident. Reyyan knows immediately it is Miran. She runs across the road as we see Azra pulling Miran from the damaged car. He is unconscious. Reyyan and Miran cry out as they arrive at Miran’s limp body. Azize has arrived and is running down the road yelling Miran! Miran!

Reyyan notices the red scarf dangling from Azra’s wrist and remembers her dream/premonition on the swing seeing the same red scarf on the wrist of the person who stopped her from swinging.

Briefly she and Azra lock gazes before Reyyan breaks down and yells, Miran!! As the episode ends.

I did hear that the episode for Tuesday will be preempted by the State of the Union address. Looks like you get the night off Juanita 😊 and we have to wait until Wednesday to see how grave Miran really is.

herc

Many thanks, VVS, both for the wonderful recap and for confirming that Hercai will not be shown Tuesday night because of the State of the Union address. I guess the Telemundo program guide got it right.

I very much enjoyed the episode and your excellent recap. I was delighted that Azize tells Cihan that if he didn't kill Harun, he's covering up for the person who did, and she's going to find out who that person is. At the very least, that should give Cihan some sleepless nights.

Meanwhile, whatever progress Miran may have made has evaporated as we see yet another Mr. Meltdown moment (love it, VVS!).

As soon as Miran seemed puzzled about the car, I knew (indeed, probably all Viewerville knew) that he was in for trouble. What I don't understand is why they needed him to drive that car. I had assumed that the brakes were going to fail, but no, the truck driver was apparently hired to crash into him, but since the steering did work, Miran was able to deflect the impact of the crash and not get crushed to smithereens. So was Miran driving that car just so the truck driver would know which car to attack?

Wow, Yaren seems to have completely lost her mind. In some of the dizi's earlier episodes, I recall several of us referring to Handan as Lady Macbeth, but now Yaren seems to have taken that role. I kept expecting her to utter "Out, out, damned spot!" as she obsessively washed her hands.

So Fusun's daughter turns out to be quite attractive and seemingly very pleasant. I wonder, though, what her having the red scarf means. (I'm really impressed that you noticed it when she came out from the airport. I didn't see it until she and Reyyan were trying to revive Miran after the "accident.") How/why could she have been the person who stopped the swing? Am I right that that was just in Reyyan's dream? I guess in dizis anything is possible in a dream. Still, what are we to make of the look that passes between Reyyan and Azra at the end of the episode? It didn't strike me as a friendly look. I guess we'll have to wait until Wednesday to find out more.

herc

I enjoyed the episode last night as well Juanita. For a change Telemundo kept everything intact with the Turkish version, no strange cuts or scene shifting.

Like you, I was totally puzzled by the car situation. I also thought that something mechanical would go wrong or there was an explosive device that would ignite on any impact. Maybe I over thought the car exchange and the henchman was just confirming to Fusun that Miran was on his way?

To go along with her superstitious tendencies, Reyyan seems to have some sort of ESP/shinning with her dreams. She had a dream in a previous episode about the window being open with the wind and then getting that call from Azize. Then there was the dream on the swing where Azra stops the swing to help her. I hope that is what Azra’s role will be, to help. It did cross my mind that Azra might be someone brought in to “fall in love” with Miran and cause trouble, but that is just my early morning brain already on overload.

Great, great recap VVS! Pretty good episode too, if I say so myself! Awesome that Azize called out Cihan! Lying wanna be thug that he is! Cihan is also a serial revenge seeker, and his children take a back seat to all of his shenanigans. I think his wake up call is coming, and coming HARD, cause Yaren has entered the twilight zone, and he won’t be able to ignore it any longer. Believe it or not, I felt sorry for Handan as the pained look of “knowing” that something was seriously wrong, passed between her and Zehra. Zehra looked exceptionally pretty, btw, and her concern for Handan was evident. Funny how most times, Zehra runs me either hot or cold. This time it was somewhere in the middle.

Loved the newlyweds enjoying their new home! Those moments buffer all the anger and head shaking revenge stuff. I swear, if I have to keep shaking my head at the downright nonsense that goes on in this dizi, my head’s gonna twist right out of the socket! Now we have Miran——-hurt yet once again——and Fusun blustering and prancing around, all full of herself in revenge overload, and I’m honestly sick of it! Do us ALL a favor Fusun and KILL yourself! All that hot air inside of you will thank you for it! I remember how much I wanted Azize to kill herself too, hahaha, but Azize’s evilness was much more convincing! Also loved the scene with the stuttering new cook! I wonder if that’s going to be part of his normal character or if it was because of Miran’s dismissive attitude. Lol. Poor Miran thought he was going to get some pregnant nookie! Lol! Plans thwarted!! Hahaha!

Sorry, y’all, but I do not like Dilsah! At all! She’s such a whiny, woe is me, “I don’t know my hijo “ crybaby! I just want to smack the living fear and daylights out of her! I just kept remembering how warm and loving with complete acceptance of her grandson that Granny Sukran displayed! She didn’t know Miran’s angry azz either, but she ALWAYS extended herself—-without hesitation! You, otoh, Dilsah, want to waste time on things that can’t be changed and cry about them! I would be hugging, kissing and licking my son’s face like a lapdog every moment that he was in my presence until I got sick of myself doing it! Well, not licking, but y’all get my meaning, lol. I’m also getting vibes that Reyyan wants Dilsah to really like her, and it ain’t gonna happen. Dilsah will eventually have to take her pent up anger out on someone, and I think it will be Reyyan…….just a feeling. I also get the feeling that Azra is kind, and will be a helper of sorts too. Do we have any background on Azra besides Azize giving her to Dilsah to raise? And she is probably Fusun’s daughter? Did I miss something?

Reyyan’s dreams are significant. Plus, as we all know, her and Miran have this telepathy thing they share. I hope, too, that Azra wasn’t brought in to test our patience—-AGAIN! She seems like a very nice, caring and straightforward person. And even though her and Miran aren’t blood ( or are they with all these damn children switched and hidden at birth!) they are kinda brother and sister through Dilsah.

But really! I’m ready for this dizi to wrap it up! No more new characters, no more new reasons for revenge, no more kidnapping and switching—-and killing babies, no more multiple gunshots or near death experiences, NADA! WRAP IT UP! Lol

Loved this recap VVS! Thank you!!!

herc

Thank you carmella for the early morning chuckle and great comments. Fusun sure is full of bluster and vengeance. There has to be a huge backstory with her and Azize. As far as Azra goes, we only know what Azize has said/done. She claimed to the younger Dilsah that the baby Azra was from an orphanage. Do we believe that? No, Azize probably stole her at birth or maybe Fusun was forced to give her up for adoption? There was a good discussion on the Sunday patio about Fusun and was she actually married, if so, where is Harun’s daddy and why is Fusun still an Aslanbey?

I am disappointed with Dilsah as well. She is nothing at all like she was portrayed in earlier episodes. Maybe the Miran woe is me, meltdowns are keeping her from actually believing she gave birth to such a crybaby, selfish and angry mankid?

We are at the beginning of Turkish episode #57 so not too much longer for The End! 😊

Herc

Great points regarding Fusun, VVS, and although I really don’t want to waste any time on her ( cause I can’t stand her) I know she wasn’t born this way. Just like Azize, she probably started off as a very nice person until life beat her down and pumped her full of gas. Her brother’s were viciously abusive and her Father most likely was too! He probably married her off in kind, which may be why she was cold to lukewarm to Harun. Harun definitely gave off a possible abusive personality in the beginning, but as it turned out, he really just wanted love. Shame he got the likes of Yaren, but he still fell in love with her anyway.

Also, we now know Fusun had a daughter, and we also know that Fusun was privvy to Azize getting her azz kicked and face rearranged by her prick of a husband. Seems to me that Azize and Fusun are connected in more ways than one, and probably had some sort of friendship in the beginning? They understand one another…..

A good discussion to explore, even if I am SICK OF THESE PEOPLE! Lol…….

Herc

I must retract a little bit. There was no indication that Mehmet abused Dilsah, was there? We even got a glimpse of him showing kindness to Miran…….I would also like a little bit more of how Mehmet came to fall in love with Dilsah…..

Also, why would Fusun want to call herself an “Aslanbey” if they were a bunch of cruel, sadistic, dysfunctional A-holes? Who would want to carry that legacy around? That she doesn’t take her husband’s last name also raises a lot of questions…….

herc

If I recall carmella, Mehmet did indeed beat the crap out of Dilsah all the time. Sultana held that over Azize for a while until she just came out and told Miran about Azize’s abusive sons. She even showed Miran the burn scar on her belly that supposedly killed Aslan as a baby.

There was a flashback scene where Esma was outside of the bedroom and could hear Mehmet slapping Dilsah around plus another one where Dilsah met outside the konak with Sukran and she had bruises on her arms and face. All those Aslanbey men were horrible and the woman, especially Azize perpetuated that abuse. I hope we find out more about Fusun.

Will comment about your recap later, VVs. It was a very good one!

I am confused. As I've probably mentioned before, I have two opportunities to watch Telemundo novelas. DirecTV gives me the East Coast feed at 6PM, but it's not HD, so I only watch it on a recapping night.

The East Coast feed shows no Hercai. I get West Coast Telemundo as a local channel, Ch. 48. That one shows Hercai at 10PM and no Pasión.

This is very odd. The DVR that is set to record every showing shows it recording at 10PM.

Pasión

I will be posting a recap of last night's episode later this evening.

herc

Novelera, I understand your confusion. Last night, Zap2It (which I have set for Pacific time), still claimed that Hercai would be shown tonight at 10pm and Pasión would not be shown. However, I watch Hercai on Telemundo at 9pm. Last night, immediately after the episode was over, they made an announcement that mañana Hercai would cede its space for State of the Union programming, but that on Wednesday [and they offered a couple of brief coming attractions]. In my experience, every time Telemundo makes such an announcement, the usual show is not seen the next day. Secondary scheduling sites like Zap2It or providers like Comcastmust simply have old information. Moreover, it would make no sense to show the episode on the West Coast but not on the East Coast.

Herc

Excellent recap, VVS! Thank you. Sharp eyes and recall. I did not catch and connect the red scarf on Azra's wrist.

Is Yaren more or less of a danger now that she’s lost her mind? Will they give her an end like Lady Macbeth? I’m waiting to see if she is pregnant.

For sure, Mr & Mrs Cihan are playing their most dangerous game yet.

Dilsah is a worry. Looks to me that she’s connecting Rey with Azize and she won’t trust her going forward. carmella mentioned Dilsah taking out her anger on Rey. Maybe she will try to break up ReyMir. I hope Azra is good and can convince Dilsah that she needs professional help. Has no one else thought about this?

VVS, I LOL’d at your Dilsah comment: “Maybe the Miran woe is me, meltdowns are keeping her from actually believing she gave birth to such a crybaby, selfish and angry mankid?”

This Fusun mystery is driving me crazy! She’s got kids that she seemingly didn’t raise and no mention of a husband. I thought I remembered her saying that she hated Azize from the beginning because she wasn’t worthy of being an Aslanbey but somehow wormed her way to into the family. The kicker was when Azize became the lady of the mansion.

“Also, why would Fusun want to call herself an “Aslanbey” if they were a bunch of cruel, sadistic, dysfunctional A-holes?” Because she shares those same qualities and is proud of it.

Why did they have to sacrifice Harun for the sake of upping the revenge factor?

Miran will be ok. There's too much show left to kill him now. I'm dreading the ReyMir scenes for this.

Even though we are at Turkish ep 57 out of 69, remember that each Turkish ep is close to 2 ½ hours with some even longer. So there's plenty of time and plenty of drama left. Probably too much.

My local Telemundo channel has the State of the Union listed from 8:50 to 11:00p

HERCAI

VVS.RECAP HEAVEN BECAUSE I am just abt done...

......they are dragging this out with the Azize running around.. freaking out!!

Sorry/'Psyche'..!!-not sorry....Azize looking pious and making Salat prayers ,doesnot move me..!!

I like the decor for the rest of the room...nice move everybody and their grandmother -in-day..... Until Moron blows up in front of Dilsah..the woman's nerves are wreck. Chill!!

What possessed Reyyan to help Azize... 'eff that.. and Miss-me-with-that'..Azize has changed/remorseful...blah blah bleeh bleeh ..!!..she is Moron's Gmom..so what!!

Herc

Thanks dondi356 356 for clearing up the Fusun/ Azize relationship. I guess in Fusun’s eyes Azize was only worth getting a azz whoopin and beatdown on the regular. I don’t see how any woman could stand by and watch that happen, but I guess Fusun knew her place in the hierarchy of things…….

Fortunately or not halimacandy, Reyyan is a forgiving soul. She’s incapable of carrying around hate and anger for too long. Reyyan should hate Nasuh more than anybody else in this dizi, but now she affectionately calls him “abuelo.” And as far as Miran is concerned, after what he’s done to her, they shouldn’t even be a couple! “Love keeps no record of wrongs”………😩

herc

As I already said, VVS, I LOVED your recap and your asides!

Someone else mentioned Lutfi being a stutterer. I hope they aren't going with making fun of the guy for it.

How does Azize still have "men" to have Mahmoud round up to protect her "family"? I guess this is sort of related to how Miran has all the $$ to re-decorate that house since he's outed as a non-Aslanbey and isn't working for them any more. Firat?

Speaking of Zehra, why didn't they bring her along to the "housewarming"? It looked like Hazar had begun to forgive her when she was kind to Dilsah who'd come to attend to their baby. Anybody remember the baby's name? To me the new house is her daughter's house and it made no sense she wouldn't have joined them just so the writers could show her looking on and unhappy.

Miran looking dead? Pfft. We should know by now that he's part cat...nine lives and all. Are we in for another treatment by the female witchdoctor?

The real question for me is why Azra scoffed at the idea that Azize had held Dilsah prisoner.

Herc

That would be me novelera mentioning Lufti’s stuttering…..I don’t make fun of people who suffer from handicaps. I was just wondering if it’s truly a handicap or he did it cause Miran made him nervous……I’m very sensitive to issues such as these…….

Thank you again VVS for clearing up the Mehmet issue too. I do recall that scene now……..this fixi is so long In forgetting stuff! Lol……

Herc

And I hope the dizi doesn’t make fun of him for stuttering either…..I’d have to stop watching 😩

Jimena watches Oscar come back on the horse and looks suspicious. She later asks about it and he admits he went out to the house. Jimena was right they had squatters. Jimena wants him to throw them out until she learns the little boy from the other day lives there. Then she’s excited and agrees they can stay. She hasn’t stopped thinking about that child, he was adorable. Oscar suggests what they need is their own child, this makes Jimena uncomfortable. (I don’t remember if they have definitively said why Oscar and Jimena don’t have kids? Ie. Medical issue? I know Romina said Jimena couldn’t give him children but that could’ve just been BS from the other woman)

Sara and Gaby are now home. Sara says they have to be very sure before accusing Demetrio. Gaby is 100% certain. Sara calls Gabriela but she is too busy having dinner to talk! Her buddy is there and she and grandpa are having a blast at dinner. (Don Martin does NOT look like he’s having a blast)!

Romina is trying to cover her new car with a sheet! Madrina is rightfully mocking her. Romina thinks the car is proof Oscar cares about her, Madrina knows she is delusional. She reminds Romina again that she would be better off acting like a normal person and treating her son well than kidding herself with thoughts of love. Madrina says Oscar is not going to leave Jimena, but Romina says maybe not, but he could lose her…like maybe because of his son…
A gang of masked men are emptying the Reyes stables of their horses.
Oscar and Jimena are talking about the break-in at Juan’s ranch. Oscar is grabbing his gun to go support Juan and Juan David as they go after the guys. At first, Jimena is nervous and doesn’t want Oscar to go and then she wants to go with. Oscar tells her no; you go about business as usual. He takes off and Jimena is calling after him upset.

Season 2 Episode 11 Part 2

Norma is blocking the twins access to something (at first I thought it was a gun closet but it turned out to be the front door she was trying to keep them inside). They are arguing about defending the ranch. They need to grab some guns and go help their brother and father but Norma is dead set against it. They are in enough trouble, they need to stay away from this situation. They end up getting past their mother and taking off outside. Norma yells after them but then Jimena calls and she starts worrying to her sister instead. A bunch of horses were stolen and Juan and Juan David are after the thieves.

Out in the fields, Juan found the truck but not the men or the horses. The cops show up they know where they are. Everyone takes off to intercept the robbers.

Rosario is in front of her mirror getting ready when there is a knock on her door. ‘Rosario, it’s me, can I come in?’ Rosario gets very excited and says ‘Juan David, of course, come in. I’ve been waiting for you’. The door opens, it’s not Juan David. It’s a man with a gun (we haven’t seen him yet but it’s pretty clear this is Samuel Caballero) and he shoots her right in the head! She falls to the ground and wakes up. Just a nightmare. (She must have felt so relieved to wake up to the ghoul Gunter) Rosario is not well she’s going crazy without seeing JD. She’s sleeping until 2pm, forgetting the words to her songs last night. Gunter points out she was sleeping too soundly and probably took too many sleeping pills. Rosario doesn’t want to talk or take advice she wants to be left alone. She lays back down and thinks again about JD.

Sara goes over to see mom and grandpa. Gabriela goes on and on about how wonderful, enchanting, interesting and fun dinner with Demetrio was, right Dad? Don Martin says yes, it was so fun you had to send me to my room because I was snoring! (LOL) He even calls her witch again, for good measure. Gabriela is being a witch this morning, and it was really hard to hear her go on and on about how wonderful Demetrio is and how rude Gaby was for not saying hello to him. (Seriously one look at that child in the hospital and it was obvious she was very upset and effected by something, even if you don’t know what – how does a loving grandma criticize a clearly traumatized child?) Don Martin leaves with Dominga and avoids listening to this. Sara tells her mom about the stalking but Gabriela refuses to believe it (again with her background in trusting the wrong man I don’t know how she can be so sure of her judgment). She does seem like she might have just a tad of doubt, she says even though she doesn’t believe and even calls Gaby’s story nonsense she will confront Demetrio with the accusation.

The cops catch the horse thieves. They get out of the truck with their hands up but then run off running directly into Juan, JD, and the rest of the ranch contingent. JD pulls a gun and so does Juan. When they don’t surrender Juan shoots the gun right out of the one’s hand!

Norma is going everywhere looking for the twins. They are in the employee dining room aggressively accusing the men there of being to blame for the horse theft. They want the workers to give them guns but they are told Juan forbade it. There’s a confrontation – also fueled by the accusations the workers made about the twins during the incident with Rosario – and the mouthpiece for the workers says it’s the guards they should be talking to not them since clearly, they fell asleep on the job. This probably would have escalated but Norma showed up and kicked the devil boys out. And I don’t like the way the worker dude said ‘Thank you, Donna Norma’ something seems off about this guy…

Season 2 Episode 11 Part 3

They recovered all the horses and they seem fine. They are relieved because they are very valuable. Oscar is with his brother and nephew now. Oscar thinks the bandits came from far away and hid in the region but Juan thinks some neighbors could be involved. JD suggests it could just be people posing as landowners. This makes Oscar nervous who suggests if that were it they couldn’t even trust their own shadows. Could the enemy even be within their own staffs?

Gabriela is meeting with the devil who is so happy for the unexpected pleasure of seeing her. She beats around the bush but finally asks. He says of course he never stalked anyone. So you don’t know her. Yes, I course I know who she is. So, you never followed her? Oh yes, I did, multiple times. I am sure he also spewed some BS about seeing that she was alone and wanting to make sure she was safe, but we didn’t get the honor of hearing about it.
Rosario is performing that night at the bar. Remembering talking to JD at the bar. Remembering not talking to JD later in her room. She seems consumed but she doesn’t forget the words this time. He isn’t there, another night of him not coming to see her.

Family dinner and the Reyes are talking about what happened and how crimes like this haven’t happened in their area in a long time. Juan makes the rather interesting observation that as towns grow crime rates rise because there are at of interests at play. JD thinks they should just be more watchful and careful and everything will be fine no need to be scared. Norma makes a comment about never knowing where the next problem is coming from which Leon takes offense to but Juan says she wasn’t talking about them causing problems. The twins are still mad they couldn’t grab their guns and participate in the chase. They don’t like be reminded to stay the hell out of trouble and end up storming off from the table. (This whole dinner table dynamic is very strange to me. The twins or sitting on one side of the table, Juan is at the head. Norma is on the other side of him and JD beside her which isn’t strange, but JD is sitting much closer to his mother than any other chair spacing. His arm is around her chair and at one point she even takes a nap off the table and places it in his lap for him. If they are trying to drive home the point the Norma has coddled her sons too much, message received.)

The next morning, Rosario is driving up to the ranch like a bat out of hell. No more waiting for her! Gunter is back in town looking for her but that isn’t going to work. Rosario drives up upon a Reyes brother shirtless in the yards but unfortunately (for her and us) it’s Leon and not JD. She tells him she’s looking for JD but he says he isn’t working near there today. They go into the stables and Eric is there too – shirtless as well. I wonder if this is making her nervous based on the last time she was alone in a stable with these two. And they are jerks to her today too! These two are never exactly gentlemen but it's disturbing how openly rude and disrespectful they are to Rosario. She may not be the best person in the world, but she hasn’t done anything (that they know of) to deserve the rude way they treat her. They do finally tell her where they can find JD after way too much trouble and rude and suggestive comments.

Elsewhere on the ranch, we encounter an also shirtless but not obnoxious JD, as so does Rosario. She walks up behind him and he is surprised but not necessarily unhappy to see her. He asks why she’s there and she says she got tired of waiting for him. He says they didn’t have any date or plan that he’s aware of. But she responds with, ‘did we really need one? Don’t you want to be close to me?’ He hesitates for a second but then he kisses her (oh look Rosario, that’s what consent looks like)

Hercai

VVS, thank you for the excellent recap. However, I am getting tired of this show going around and around and getting nowhere . Now we get another new character that was never mentioned before . It seems that the writers are writing this on the fly and not paying as much attention to past scripts as we are .

Also, we got an HGTV episode as Mir redecorated the momma that he finally remembered he purchased to spy on Rey.

So.. Mir was shot twice and seemed dead , but he bounced back. Now ,he again seems to be a goner in that car crash. Did anyone watch Amor Eterno?

When this dizi ends will we be left feeling QTH was that about ?

Season 2 Episode 11 Part 4

Sara and Gaby talking again. Sara wants to take Gaby to school because the stalker situation still has her nervous but Gaby thinks now that she has a car she will be fine. Grandma will resolve things or she won’t, Gaby is going on with her life. She did say she’s never gotten along too well with her grandma. Sara isn’t ready to let it go, she wants to confront Demetrio. Gaby has her phone and it is charged and she will call if she sees him. Gaby also chats with Andres. He is admiring her car, he wants to drive it. She wants to drive his too one day. They chat amicably for a min but Gaby is late for class, Andres warns her to be careful.

JD breaks off the kiss saying this isn’t the right place for this. Rosario says, ‘no, then tell me what place would be appropriate for you because for me anywhere is perfect!’ (BOLD!!!!) He kisses her again but stops again. She asks why he stopped and then just to prove she really is school girl obsessed she asks: ‘Juan David, tell me how you feel about me!’ (I’ll tell you how he should feel which is scared and horrified.)

As for how he actually does fell or how he will answer we'll have to wait till Weds to find out that answer because there we end.

Thank you dondi356, novelera. Halimacandy and Susanlynn for your comments to add to Juanita and carmella’s thought provoking discussions.

You bring up a great point about Dilsah needing professional help, dondi356. Hazar brought a doctor in when they had their initial encounter and the doc did recommend mental health therapy but clearly, that has not happened. Dilsah is going to be a problem I believe.

The Fusun/Azize connection is definitely a headscratcher. I can’t wait for that reveal(s).

Yaren is definitely teetering on the edge of sanity. I bet you anything she will be pregnant and that will save her at least for a short time because when Fusun finds out she killed her son, accident or not, Yaren is a goner.

novelera, I am also wondering about the $$ issues. I guess Azize and Miran had their own investment accounts or something because there has been no stopping the shopping. Who is running the Sadoglu part of the business? Azat just seems to sit around mooning over Gonul. I am interested in getting to know Azra and why she was surprised that Aunt Azize was really HAG in disguise.

Halimacandy, it was the first time we saw Azize collapse and freak out wasn’t it? Guess having real feelings makes her weak. She is the Voldemort of dizis.

Susanlynn, there is a lot of QTH regarding this dizi. I hope Azra is a new character who will help keep Dilsah from thinking Reyyan is Azize and stabbing her!

Hercai

Whoops ..I typed " konak ' but autocorrect changed it to " momma. "

The writers seem to have forgotten about Azat . Instead of developing the original key characters , they seem to have decided that introducing new characters would keep viewers interested. I

What is up with fascination with rustic swings in dizis? I watch reruns of Amor Eterno on Univision ,and in today's episode, Nihan was nagging Kamal to push her on a backyard swing .

OT

I took a peek at Kara Para Ask on YouTube. Sort of wanted to see Engin in a different role. Looks like he's some sort of policeman. The problem is that it's Turkish. Any way to see it with English subtitles?

OT

Novelera, it's on Netflix with English subtitles.

OT

Darcy, thanks a million!!! I'll watch some of it since I've read some complimentary things here on Caray.

OT

Novelera , KPA is very good . Not as good as Fatmagul, my new fav show, but better than La Hija in my opinion.

Pasion

Thank you so much for your recap Darcy! Well written with some great asides! Like the devil twins, the creepiest of creeps Gunter,
and the delusional Romina. She looks so hard, rough and skanky! There is NOTHING feminine about her! Oscar is a fool for telling Jimena that the boy lives there. He already knows how curious about Duval she is. How much you wanna bet that she shows up there!?!?!

Grandma Gabriela is still status driven, and will believe the best about that man and the worst about her namesake granddaughter. Why doesn’t Gabriela have ant radar about these things???? Don Martin seemed none too impressed with Demetrio while Gabriela fawned over him with glee. Looks like Gabriela is bound to make the same mistake over again. I guess once every 20 yrs ain’t too bad, lol——- NOT! Demetrio is dangerous and Gabriela will find out the hard way.

Btw Darcy, ITA that Norma probably did coddle her son’s way too much, especially JD. Being her fistborn, and remembering how she and everyone doted on him as a baby, I can see her also doting on those twins and excusing everything they do. I mean she smacked the hell outta her husband over them! Norma’s an enabler of the worse kind……..

Thanks again for taking the time to give us a wonderful recap of events! They’re awesome!

Not to scold them overly much, but the Reyes ranch should have much better security! Where are the cameras and the security guards who watches them! Again, I’m liking Juan cause he’s calm and smart about why this happened. I don’t think he’ll make the same mistake twice , but with San Marcos having this increase in crime, more things are bound to happen. Better get that security team front and center and on the job! I really can’t stand those twins! Entitled troublemakers who think that just because they’re the boss’s sons, they can push everybody around. They both need to cool their heels in a jail cell, and see if they pick fights with real criminals! They are annoying and irritating, and as handsome and well built as they both are, their personalities make them ugly.

Rosario makes me sick, horny cougar that she is! JD might not know which way is up right now, but he’s going to regret ever hooking up with Rosario. He’s at fault too, so I won’t be feeling sorry for him——initially anyway——-when he realizes that his hormones were in overdrive for her, and that she’s crazier than a bull with his nuts in a sling! Either way I hope it’s soon cause I can’t take too many more love scenes between the two!

Pasion

Thanks Carmella, I totally agree with you about Oscar telling Jimena about Duval! He's kind of in a Catch 22 with that though, on the one hand it's stupid to tell her about it, but on the other if he hadn't told her she would've kept insisting they get rid of the squatters. I don't think he's stupid so much as stuck. He probably knew what telling would do but also knew the only way to get her to drop the idea of evicting the squatters was to tell her.

Gabriela is unbelievably arrogant. I am almost impressed, in a way. If I had ever made the types of mistakes she made in the past I wouldn't trust my judgment in anything most likely, but she's still so sure of herself! If she had any sense at all she'd realize her dad is kind of a human barometer for who's what. He's always been attracted to the good guys and repulsed by the evil ones even when there was no real proof yet to say one was good or evil.

I agree about the security at the ranch, and I also think Juan was on to something with suspecting the neighbors might be involved and/or even an inside man. The twins were out of line with the way they were interrogating the workers, but I don't think that necessarily means they were wrong about someone being guilty. A big ranch like that full of cowboys and guards, you probably don't even attempt a robbery on that scale without some sort of inside information. That's my guess anyway.

I do feel sorry for JD, to an extent. I think he's being taken advantage of. Yes, he's attracted to Rosario too, but up to this point he hasn't acted on it by his own accord. He's not like his uncle Franco was 20 years ago chasing after her and going to the bar every night. He saw her, he was definitely drawn to her but he did nothing. He seems to know that acting on his attraction might not be a good idea. She invited him to the bar opening he didn't go, she invited him again and he turned it down. The evil twins decided to go and he went too, and he was clearly enjoying talking to her but then his choice was taken from him with drugs/alcohol and when he came to in her room he said I shouldn't be here, and even I don't want to be here, but she insisted. But even after that night, he stayed at his ranch day after day and still didn't go look for her. Rosario on the under hand is a siren and a storm who isn't going to take no for an answer. She knows exactly how to seduce a man and get what she wants. I am sure eventually it will be plenty of his own doing as well, but I feel like there's such an unequal balance of power in this dynamic that it's just icky. But I am with you in hoping this 'romance' is short lived. Like very short-lived.

I am actually really sorry that went this way with Rosario's character. I would have loved to seen her 20 years later, healthy mentally and physically and coming back to town as a good character - even if she was a good character who liked young men! LOL. But a drunken, obsessive, predator with a creepy sidekick?....no thanks.

herc, telemundo

Well, now I understand why Telemundo claimed on Monday night that Hercai would give over its space on Tuesday to State of the Union programming, while other listings (e.g., Zap2It, Comcast, and others) claimed Hercai would be shown on Tuesday at 10PM. In a way, both statements were somewhat correct. Hercai WAS shown at 10PM on Tuesday, at least on the West Coast, but it was not a new episode. Instead, what was shown was a recap of sorts that included some major events from several old episodes, ending with Azar pulling Miran from the car at the end of Monday's episode. I think they called it un resumen especial. I watched just the last few minutes, to see where they ended it.

herc

My DVR also recorded that resumen and I FF>> through most of it. Can't say I loved more scenes of Dilsah looking pathetic. Apparently in Turkish dizis mothers never, ever get over the loss of a child and can't even be comforted when told the son is really alive.

OT

Kara Para Ask is good. Thanks again, Darcy, for the tip about Netflix. I ended up watching 3 episodes last night! Engin is, of course, very good. It's a lot more violent than I had expected. But then it is a sort of police procedural. It has many things in common with detective/police shows in English. The good cop (Engin) is amazing in putting clues together. And the boss is a jerk. The only type of this show I can think of with a really good boss is Bosch. His boss is a gay woman and a truly empathetic person. OTOH SHE has a jerk boss.

By the way, I tried to type the s with cedilla and had no luck. The ALT key that Mr. Google showed me did not work for me.

OT

Glad you like KPA, novelera. This is another Turkish favorite of mine. The cast is very good and you will recognize a couple of the actors. I thought Engin and Tuba were terrific together. Hope you can stick it out. It’s long, but not as long as Hercai. It had 54 Turkish eps, so of course they had to chop it up for Netflix. Barbara Streisand had posted she and her husband were binging on it till 4am and loving it.

More OT

The young actress who plays Gul on Hercai has joined the cast of a current dizi I’m watching, “Aziz”. She’s obviously older but she’s still a doll. And Ayda Askel is in another one that just started, “Baba”.

I can never use any of the alt keys when writing directly on the blog, but when I use Word, alt 351 gives me “ş”

OT

Interesting comment about the diacritical marks, dondi. I use a PC and regularly use the ALT keys for accent marks in Spanish, such as Ella me dejó sin palabras. It works fine when typing in the comment window. But when trying 0351, one of the google suggestions, or 351 neither would give me that s-cedilla diacritical mark.

OT

I too use a PC, novelera, and I too use the ALT+4 method to produce Spanish, French, and German characters that English doesn't have. Since dondi356 claimed she could do ALT+351 to get the Turkish s with a cedilla in Word, I tried that in my Word clone (Textmaker), and it worked! However, I couldn't copy and paste it here, because the clipboard program that I use and love, ClipMate, can't handle unicode (which Word can). If dondi356 is able to paste the s with a cedilla here, she is probably using a clipboard program that can deal with unicode.

If you are intent on getting that special s to appear here, you might try using ALT+351 in Word and then copying and pasting it here using a clipboard program that can handle unicode. Of course, it also depends on whether this blog is unicode-compliant. If dondi356 has been successful here, then that should work.

Has Miran used up all his 9 lives…cause he passes out sending Reyan and Hazar into panic overdrive. Meanwhile, Azize and Fusun watch from across the road. Azize pleads to God for him to be OK and Fusun needs him to be OK to connect with her daughter.

While we wait for the ambulance…we get a vision: Miran is dressed in white….hears Reyan call him….he turns to see both Reyan and his son dressed in white…all 3 delighted to see each other. He gives their son a kiss…then Reyan. The vision takes a turn when he hears another child’s voice. He turns and sees their daughter a little further up the road calling for him to come with her.

Back in the present….Reyan continues to plead with him to stay alive…to keep his promise to stay with her. Across the way, Azize realizes her kids are paying for her sins. She doesn’t want Miran to die and pay for her sins and wants to run to him but Fusun stops her. She can’t do anything for him and Hazar can’t see her. Furious Azize threatens Fusun with her life and her daughter. Frantic…Reyan continues her prayers…he continues his vision: he’s asking Reyan to go with him…their daughter is asking him to come with her. He’s torn but turns toward their daughter….breaking Reyan’s pearls as he pulls away from her. Reyan is crying don’t go and he’s walking to their daughter…arms stretched to hug her. Reyan’s voice is still in his head…she’s on the ground pleading. This scene obviously affected him…he snaps out of his vision and wakes up (how many more lives does he have left). It’s a miracle.

Across the way, Nasuf calls Azize who updates him as the ambulance arrives. Mahmut and Fusun’s man draw their guns but the women stop them. Fusun demands info on her daughter…Azize’s not talking till she knows Miran is OK. She’s calling the shots.

The Sadoglu men show their support to Hazar outside the hospital. Cihan embraces his crying brother….Nasuf and Azat have good news…Miran will be OK. Mahfuz has made it…he’s concerned about Miran…and of course Reyan…she’s pregnant. He doesn’t impose to go see her.

Firat has picked up Zeynap from the airport…glad she’s returned from Istanbul visiting her family. He teases her…but is glad to see her. He wants to know more about her…she knows so much about him. Their moment is interrupted by Gonul’s phone call…alerting him about Miran. Alarmed…he rushes to the hospital.

Fusun receives an update from one of her minions who’s tracking down Hazan. Firat and Zeynep make it to the hospital as does Gonul who gets the cold shoulder from Nasuf. Azat apologies to her for this.

Inside, ReyMir console each other. He reminds her he’s not capable of leaving her....she couldn’t breathe without him. He’s her air….she’s his angle….blah….blah.. blah. Azra comes in…everything looks good but he should stay the night for observation. He wants to go home…besides…there’s a doctor in the family now. Reyan insists they stay….he insists they go home…he made a promise to his mother…and he has to keep it. He wins. Firat and Zeynep come in….the women leave the guys to talk. Was it an accident Firat wants to know.

Outside, Nasuf sneaks over Azize’s car. They hold hands and discuss Miran…she’s happy he’s ok. They drop hands as Nasuf comes to the realization that the incident was no accident. The same thing Miran is confiding to Firat….the truck came straight at him he says. Hazar opens the door unnoticed as Miran asks Firat to track down the trucker driver but allow everyone to believe it was an accident. Hazar barges in …demands the truth. Reyan interrupts…he can go home. She notices to the tension among the guys. Outside…she thinks back to Azize’s frantic concern over Miran earlier…realizes she knew something was up before the accident.

Azra comes up to her to officially introduce herself…and assures her that Miran will be fine. A little later….they return to Hope House….all attentive to Miran. But he calls out to his mother to let her know he’s returned with her daughter. The 2 women look at each other with pure joy…finally Azra goes to Dislah…they hug…tears of joy. Miran appears a little jealous…left out….he hasn’t received that kind of welcome from Dislah…not yet anyway.

As he looks envious and disappointed, Dislah finally notices he’s hurt and goes to him. Is Azra jealous now. Dislah fusses at Hazar assuming he didn’t tell her the truth but Miran assures her he’s fine....all the while, Zehra looks on from a distance...like an outsider. Miran diverts Dislah’s attention to Azra so Dislah suggest they all go inside. Zehra is welcoming to them all but declines joining them. She’s all smiles when Hazar returns home with her.

Cihan enters the Aslanbey mansion where Fusun snarks about him coming to see his spawn in the middle of the night. He takes the moment to remind her warned her not to involve his brother in her games with Azize. Miran’s accident caused Hazar to suffer. She minces words…he told her not to hurt his brother…not that he brother couldn’t suffer. Besides, she hasn’t touched Hazar. He reminds her that her problem is with Azize. “are you telling me to kill Azize and end this” she mocks. How many times would Azize have to die to pay for the loss of Harun. She hasn’t done anything to Hazar but thinks Cihan is underestimating her….wonders if they should break their pack.

He’s not suggesting that but when Hazar suffers…it bothers him too he protest. She wonders how he’s so concerned about Miran these days…they’re enemies after all. They’re all family now and he’s trying to deal with it all. Besides…breaking the peace doesn’t help him or her.

As he leaves… Fusun get’s a call and is informed that “his daughter is in Midyat” to her surprise. As she prepares to leave…Gonul arrives….tells her about the accident. Their chat is interrupted by the sound of shattering glass. It’s Yaren…she’s gone mad…yelling and throwing things around. Handan and Cihan try to restrain her. Gonul listens at the door as Yaren rants… “ I’m in so much pain inside…I’ve asked for forgiveness so it goes away but it hasn’t”.

Thanks very much, Nett, for this fine recap of a rather perplexing episode. As I was watching the episode, I kept being thankful that I didn't have to write the recap. So much of the episode seemed to me either confusing or just plain ridiculous. Or both.

Yes, though I haven't yet heard Miran Meow, he certainly seems to be the cat with nine lives. Or perhaps even more. I found it amusing that while he was lying on the ground unconscious, Fusun and Azize were pretty much ignoring him as they argued and threatened each other. I guess everyone has their priorities.

And what the heck was that scene/vision/hallucination of Miran dressed all in white? Is he supposed to be dead? In heaven? Just dressed up as a ghost for Halloween? And then he sees ghostly Reyyan and their ghostly child. He greets them and all is well. Oops. We suddenly see a little girl--also all in white--down the road. She looked a little bigger than the child who was with Reyyan. I found myself wondering whether the girl ghost child was the product of a pre-Reyyan relationship. Anyway, ghost girl and Reyyan are both calling for Miran. To my surprise, Miran, who keeps telling Reyyan how much he loves her and can't live without her, seems to choose ghost girl over Reyyan, and even breaks her pearls as he moves away from her (thanks for pointing this out. I noticed how much the camera focused on the pearls, but I missed their being broken). And poor Reyyan is actually down on her hands and knees, calling to him. Yuck! I have absolutely no idea what any of this meant.

Perhaps I was just in a bad mood, but I found myself uneasy even in the scene with Zeynep and Firat in the car. He tells her he knows almost nothing about her and wants to get to know her better, and she seemed to be holding something back. Does she perhaps have someone special back in Istanbul?

And then there was the scene where one of Fusun's minions tells her that Yemil is back, and that he was with Hazan in the army, and that he (Yemil? Hazan? John Doe?) is back from Germany. Huh??? Who the heck are Yemil and Hazan? Did I accidentally switch to the wrong channel?

And did Fusun get a call telling her that her daughter has been found and is in Midyat? Several of us have been assuming that Azra will turn out to be Fusun's daughter (in spite of seeming so pleasant and decent). Could it be that we were right?

It does seem that Yaren has totally lost it. She apparently can't stand the sight of herself, and so she does her best to smash the mirror. I suspect that it may not be long before she spills the beans.

Thank you Nett! Well written, straight to the point recap! I was actually thankful that we got a night off, and were spared these OTT emotional outbursts——-and yes, Miran’s 9th life, hahaha! That man must have the inside skinny on beating death, or God just likes him an awful lot, lol! If the death scene was a true indication that a baby girl died at the hands of Fusun, then the twins couldn’t have been identical as the doctor said earlier. If it’s simply a product of Miran’s deep subconscious, or wish that the child lost was a girl, then it makes more sense to me that he would see a daughter. It was apparent to me that Miran was torn between staying with Reyyan and their son to be, or to move on to the afterlife with their daughter. I don’t think that there was any question which he would choose, was there? Lol….. and what was the significance of the pearls? Are they any way related to Azize’s broken beads? Whatever they mean, it went over my head?

Between all the crying and stuff, suspicion is running high regarding who caused this. Miran will be busy trying to spare Reyyan this drama and all the ugly details that go with it, while Reyyan is on course to figuring things out herself. I did feel bad for Miran as he watched Dilsah give Azra all the sincere affection that he so desperately wants, and there definitely was some envy in those eyes, but I don’t think that he’ll hold it against Azra. Hopefully they’ll be fast friends cause lord knows with all his near death experiences he needs a doctor in the family! Lol. Still not feeling Dilsah. Beneath those big sad eyes of hers, lies darkness……emptiness……and someone will have to pay…….all thanks to Azize…….

I’m also having a little bit of a hard time reconciling the new Azize. I’m all for making retribution for past deeds if they come from a sincere and true place, but this wailing and crying Azize is extreme. Her hard to soft transformation throws me for a loop at times.
And believe it or not, I’m feeling a little bad for Yaren. She needs an intervention ASAP! Confessing the accident might ease her mind/guilt a little, but she is bordering madness! That kinda crazy doesn't just go away! Looks like Handan is on the edge too!

Loved Nasuh elbowing Fusun in the neck! He might be older, but he’s BADAZZ older! Lol! Fusun’s hate for Azize runs so deep that she hasn’t even give a second thought as to why Yaren is so distraught to the 10th degree! She knows it wasn’t a love match, so to speak, and she’s supposed to be smarter than your average cold blooded criminal. And what was that “ the son I never got to breastfeed?” statement all about?????? I’m also with Juanita about who’s who and what they have to do with anything? They keep adding more stuff and is it really necessary at this point?

Thanks again Nett! 🤩

Great recap, Nett. Thanks so much.

Rey’s pearl necklace was magically restored and Miran came back to her. Ho hum, it’s another miracle for Miran.

Lol, Firat trying to find out if Zeynep has a boyfriend in Istanbul.

In the Turkish, the henchie told Fusun, “Cemil is back. A soldier friend of Hasan. He was the only relative we could not trace. He came back from Germany.” Fusun asked, “where is Hasan? Is my daughter alive? If he doesn’t talk, kill him.” Could Hasan be the father of Fusun’s children? The children she never raised herself and didn’t give a hoot about. Fusun is not human.

Yaren is getting what she deserves, and her parents are probably more worried about her spilling the beans on Harun’s death than about their daughter.

Hi!
I was supposed to do last night's recap, but I just finished a 10 hours shift and I still have to go grocery shopping, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it.

It's still early for you (about noon if I'm not mistaken), so I'll try to add some highlights if I have the chance to watch the show.

Darcy, I WILL do tonight's recap (no work tomorrow). I'm sorry if I have to bail, it's just been one of those nasty days.

Pasión

Thanks Adriana! That darn work always getting in the way of what we WANT to do. I will definitely add some comments this afternoon after I watch. I don't have time to do more than that today but I am sure we can still have a good discussion!

I will look forward to reading your recap of tonight's episode! 🙂

I don't recall who all made the comments that they are tired of the show ...the repeats...little movement...and adding these extra characters. They obviously did it to take advantage of the show's initial popularity and to drag out the show.... but it added nothing to it's quality. I'm hanging in till the end but will be glad when it's over myself. Don't care about the ending even tho neither Azize...Fusun...or Yaren deserve redemption. Cihan and Handan are not too far behind... them...protecting Yaren's crime. Still hoping Fusun figures it out.

The kids in white were confusing ...but as someone said before...the writers have forgotten some of their own themes. I took the little boy in white to be the twin that will be born since he was with Reyan....and the girl in white to be the twin that died but it didn't make sense. She was much older than the little boy....and wouldn't be identical to the boy. And if there was a 3rd unborn child...why did Miran visualize only 2 kids. Quien sabe... I know the writers don't.

And Dislah sudden attention to Miran was off. I mean it was well over do but the manner in which the writers chose to present it was a little odd...their reunion could have been done much better...but maybe it's still to come.

Oh well.

Thanks so much, Nett. I really enjoyed your recap and side comments!

Let me join the chorus of disappointment in last night's episode, with one exception. I really LOVED Nasuh with his forearm on Fusun's throat. And she was actually scared this time. She could see it in his eyes that he wasn't buying the guards counting to three and would absolutely blow her twisted brains out without a second thought.

Yep, the weirdness of that Miran's afterlife scene was just silly. And, yep, the girl was about 9 and the boy about 3. Would any viewer have been gullible enough to believe Miran would choose death?

Thanks, dondi, for a clear translation of what the guy said to Fusun about someone knowing someone else in the army.

In my opinion they've ruined Dilsah. I suppose it's the same actor, but I just can't reconcile that ghost that sat beside Miran outside Good Grannie's house with the current version. That woman was cheerful and humorous. I know the supposed death of her son was supposed to cause this behavior, but they've way overdone it.

And Zeynep calling Azize Tía was quite the shock. Wouldn't Dilsah's hatred of Azize for all the bad treatment during her marriage have somehow been imparted to Zeynep?

My favorite character now is Mahfuz. He doesn't dissolve in tears all the time. He's steadfast and sensible. I'm rooting for a closer relationship with Reyyan.

My memory of two words was fuzzy so Mr. Google helped me out. Generally, in Spanish, gemelo/a refers to identical twins, twins of the same sex from one egg. And mellizo/a means not identical. I can't remember for sure which word the doctor used when Reyyan lost one. If she said mellizos then the too-tall girl could have been the baby Reyyan lost. Of course, we mostly don't think they continue growing after they go to heaven. In Pasión they do refer to the twins as mellizos.

Just a few things that were interesting last night, this is not an official recap or in any particular order but I heard from Adriana and she isn't going to be able to so I wanted to share some highlights.

JD & Rosario – The big answer to her school girl question is: ‘I don’t know’, he’s honestly not sure how he feels about her but he does say she’s the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. He encourages her to leave though because if she’s found there, they will both get into trouble. He promises he will come see her later at the bar. She reluctantly leaves but not before she is spotted by Juan. He doesn’t see her all over JD but it’s clear that’s who she was there to see. Later Rosario is disappointed because although she spends the night singing and thinking about him again, he is not there to see it. Perhaps, he will come as he said, but not tonight. The next day Rosario has a talk with Panchita and she admits that maybe he isn’t interested but she also reveals just how much she understands the turmoil she is creating. She tells Panchita that JD resists her until he sees her but then it’s obvious, he is drawn to her, he’s just fighting himself and fighting the attraction – she sounds like a predator who knows exactly what she is doing to her prey. Gunter interrupts with the news she has a visitor and she is thrilled thinking her wait is finally over…but she’s mistaken. More on that later.
JD & Juan/Norma – JD and Juan ride back to the ranch and JD asks his dad if he has something to ask him and Juan says no not at all. He in turn asks if there’s something JD wants to tell him, JD says no but the look on his face says otherwise. Now as a rule I am against all these Reyes’ going around butting their noses into each other’s business but I was sorry Juan didn’t ask JD about Rosario here. Mostly because it seemed like maybe JD wanted him too and he could definitely benefit from some fatherly advice. Juan has shown himself capable of a normal conversation unlike several others in the family but he thinks he needs to give JD space and he even encourages Norma not to ask either later when he tells her about Rosario being there. Again, not for meddling in general but I think this might have even been a good opportunity for a mother/son chat, they are clearly close. The twins themselves tell her later that if JD didn’t tell HER what is going on he certainly wouldn’t tell them. Instead, Juan talks to Norma, Norma talks to the twins and no one talks to JD. And Juan and Norma only seem suspicious of Rosario having some agenda against their family not the possibility that she just WANTS JD! I don’t know why this doesn’t occur to them given who Rosario is, but then maybe it seems impossible to them because of the age difference.

JD & the twins – There’s something about the scenes with these three together that I LOVE!!! I can’t stand the devil twins most of the time but I always love the brother scenes. Maybe it’s the chemistry of the actors? The way they play on each other? I don’t know exactly but I find Erik and Leon annoying at best except when they are teasing their big brother. Which they did when they brought lunch to his room after he declined to come to the table. This is interesting because JD asks his brothers why they told Rosario where he was, and he seems genuinely upset that they did. The devil twins of course just say a bunch of nonsense about how hot Rosario is and how JD would have to be an idiot to pass her up. They say they have more experience with women than JD does – but I expect they just have more experience taking advantage of little girls and treating them badly. They even suggest JD see them as teachers and take their advice. JD tells his brothers they are idiots and he would never ever in his life take advice from them. He tells them to stay out of the issue with Rosario – whether he decides to pursue her or to distance himself from her they are not to interfere. Did I mention JD was in just a towel this entire scene? I enjoy the scenery in this show! LOL

Highlights cont.

Gabriel & Gaby (Sara/Andres) – There’s a scene with Gabriela coming to confront Gaby and defend Demetrio, and SHE BRINGS THE MAN WITH HER! This drives me crazy!!! They do this way too often in novellas and I really hope it doesn’t happen as often in real life. You do not bring the offender (potential offender) into the victim’s house to force a confrontation!!!! NO!! I don’t care if you think he's innocent, I wouldn’t care if he WAS innocent, just no!!! If you think your granddaughter is mistaken then you come alone and you speak to her calmly and respectfully explain why, and then you LISTEN to her! Gabriela was so rude and disrespectful to Gaby and Andres in this scene! Andres proved himself to be an angel once again defending his sister even after grandma tried to stop him and doing it with such logic that you could see he even caused a (too short) moment of pause in grandma. Sara proved (too late) that she is a better mom than her own by insisting Demetrio leave after Gaby got very upset. She just said whether you are guilty are not this isn’t a good time to talk, leave! Demetrio proved himself creepy again by revealing just how much he knew about Gaby, her comings and goings, and friends (he’s clearly watching her very carefully). Gabriela proved herself clueless and oh so full of bravado by exclaiming to Sarita ‘It’s sad that you never learn!’ – yes, she actually said that! How delusional can you be?

Rosario & Muriel – Rosario’s visitor wasn’t JD, it’s Muriel, her daughter! She is NOT happy to see her. Just when you think this woman can’t get weirder you get this strange mother/daughter dynamic. Rosario is pissed her daughter is there and terrified her (ex?) husband is with her. Muriel seems just as fond of her mother, but she says they are friends??? But Rosario says Muriel can’t stay because they can’t be in the same town? Muriel basically orders her mother home and says her place is with her husband and her daughter…is this 1950? I thought we were 20 years after the original not 70 years before it! And husband? Is Rosario married or divorced?? We’ve heard divorced but that isn’t how Muriel talks. The fun part in this is Rosario is so pissed at Gunter for ratting her out and she either slapped the hell out of him or slugged him (I couldn’t tell with the camera angle whether or not she made a fist). Gunter says if Muriel leaves I leave with her, and Rosario (and everyone everywhere) said: GOOD GO!!!!! But he won’t of course.

Panchita meets Muriel too and is thrilled to meet her and upbeat and friendly despite Muriel being basically rude and dismissive. Muriel gets the tour but she’s not impressed by any of it and keeps insisting all her mom needs is her daddy and her. In fact, she is disgusted with everything around her until Andres started playing a very hauntingly beautiful song on the keyboard, that gets Muriel’s attention. Not sure if she noticed Andres or just the song but she walks over and when he stops playing, she asks him to please continue! This might be interesting…I have been assuming (and still am) that Muriel would end up the foil to Rosario and JD, in fact, I was waiting for him to arrive finally in the last minute of the episode and run smack dab into her so we’d end on some sort of impactful look – but instead we get this interaction with Andres? Intriguing

Oscar - Just takes it at face value that Demetrio must be a good guy since Gabriela is vouching for him??? This is not the brightest Reyes in the bunch. Luckily, Jimena was less convinced – she wants to get to know him and form her own opinion at least. And Sara is suspicious, his explanation might sound reasonable but why does he know so much about Gaby? That doesn’t sit right and it shouldn’t.

Pasion

And finally:

Nino – is apparently out of jail because he runs into Gaby and her new car on the street. It’s a happy(ish) reunion and Nino starts to ask Gaby for money because his grandpa is sick and the kids need some stuff, but he sees the thug on the bike and decides to leave Gaby out of it telling her to forget it. She doesn’t and she tells her mom she wants to help Nino. It’s clear to Sara her daughter is crazy about this boy. She agrees to help and also tells her she wants to get to know Nino and maybe she can even give him a job at the ranch….this seems like a very bad idea! Nino may not be a bad guy, in fact my guess is he’s a good kid that got caught up in a bad situation – but he’s still caught up which means his presence at the ranch could bring more danger.

The mystery – Oscar tells Jimena that a girl’s dead boy had been found and she had been raped, no other information is known/revealed about her yet. Later Felix is talking to Matis and he gets a phone call from his very upset Uncle. Uncle says he just found out exactly how and why his brother was murdered AND what happened to Adela!!! Felix agrees to come see him, he starts to go without Matis saying his uncle won’t want to see him, but then he changes his mind and says to come with. Felix is a total wild card character for me so far, I can’t decide if he’s a sheep or a wolf. He seems cagy – but then someone with his background in his situation might just be a little cagy.

And Franco: Please come visit us soon!!! Please!!! :)

There you have it I tried to capture the most important happenings. It was kind of a weird episode, I was hoping when Muriel arrived I wouldn't really like her but so far not impressed...she seems spoiled, she was rude and dismissive with Pancha, and her attitude seems antiquated. I am guessing she'll be another near miss for Andres and he won't truly capture her interest. Andres seems really good at almost catching a woman's interest, lol

Thank you so much Darcy for your recap! You captured everthing that happened very well and touched on all of the major points.

As far as Rosario and JD are concerned, she definitely is a manipulator. She’s got too much life experience for the likes of JD and knows exactly how to rope her man in. I’m glad that JD doesn't really know what it is that he feels for Rosario, and at this point, isn’t jumping through hoops for her. He’s trying to maintain a distance until he’s more sure of himself, I guess, but I think that he will put up with her stalking moments until he figures out how desperate and manipulative she is. I also thought that Muriel was going to challenge her mother for JD’s affection, and it’s early yet, but if Andres is her love interest, it kinda makes sense——- as in Franco /Rosario, and now Andres/ Muriel. Like you, I don't like the Muriel we’ve been introduced to. She’s snotty and uppity. How dare she tell her mother where she belongs, and demands she leave with her! Like who’s the mom and who’s the daughter!?!?>. The way Muriel acts tells me that Rosario has gone through something very serious mentally, and Muriel was put in a position where she had to take charge……..

JD and the twins do have that brotherly playfulness between them that can be appealing at times. I just can’t stand the twins collectively, and would like to see each one, on their own with JD. Together they are a terror and it’s like they can’t stand on their own, or be their true selves as individuals. They feed off one another and all we’ve seen is the worst of them. Maybe their behavior was cute when they were little, but as young men it’s just annoying.

Gabriela is a snob and the thoughts and feelings of others mean more to her than her own family. Yes! Why the heck would she bring that man into her daughter’s home, knowing how Gaby feels about him!?!? Thank goodness Sarita wasn’t buying his story, and questioned his unwanted intrusion of following Gaby. Like “ we don’t know you dude!” “We don’t even have a relationship and you take it upon yourself to follow my kid!” Save it! He probably murdered that poor girl they found and is using his status as a cover. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit!

ITA with you about Oscar——not the brightest! Romina alone tells you that his judgment is suspect! But he does love Jimena like crazy! Question is, why does she love him?!? Lol…..just kidding. Jimena sees something in Oscar that no one else does, and they’ve both managed to keep their marriage exciting even though Oscar digressed and slept with the bottom dweller. Hope they let us know what he was thinking when he did that!

I agree with you regarding Nino too. Not a bad kid so to speak, but growing up in the rough part of town makes you assimilate the best way you know how. I’m glad Sarita offered to give him a job and not just give him money. But we all know what’s going to happen when he goes to work for her. His roughneck friends are going to want to rob her, and Nino is going to be torn. Nino doesn’t look like the hardcore type, but I could be wrong….. guess we’ll see…..

When Franco does make an appearance, I hope it’s to stay! I want to know everything about his relationship with Andres and Gaby, and what really happened between him and Sarita. Something tells me that he did what he did, and disappeared for his family’s sake……..

Thanks so much Darcy! I really appreciate your recaps and POV. Sometimes I only see surface stuff, but you’re a lot more introspective!

Pasion

Carmella, thank you for the encouragement and complements! Sometimes I think I just think too much but I like your view better, I'm just introspective! :)

Yes!! Visit was a bad word choice on my part, we don't want Franco to visit. We want him to come home and stay! And be in every episode and in lots of scenes! :) I actually have a theory about what happened to Franco but it's just a wild hunch, I think I will wait and let the story unfold more before I start declaring all my wild hunches.

I just noticed I wrote this: 'I was hoping when Muriel arrived I wouldn't really like her but so far not impressed..' I meant to say 'I was hoping when Muriel arrived I WOULD really like her. lol Otherwise, I would have already gotten what I wished for.

I like your theory about Muriel/Andres mirroring Franco/Rosario. It would be okay as long as she ends up being a better person than we were introduced to yesterday...less creepy than her ending up with JD because maybe I am a prude, but the idea of ending up with a guy who slept with your mother is just icky to me.
