Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #64
Part 1 of 4

Reyyan!!! Shouts Azize. Why did you do that? Don’t ever do something like that! says Miran. Reyyan looks startled but okay. Azize tells her that she will never put her life on the line again, I deserve to die in the middle of the town square.

Miran wants to get Reyyan out of there, but she pushes him off and turns to Azize. Remember what you told me when you tossed me into the middle of the square? You told me “it isn’t that easy to die.” You are right, it isn’t that easy. If you truly want to be forgiven, you will live. Look at me, I am still alive. I climbed back from every cliff you threw me off, even stronger! You will live on and pay for your sins. If you can, you will forgive yourself and if you can’t, then you can spend the rest of your life trying to be a good person. Azize falls to her knees, crying.

Miran and his Angry Bangs walks away, leaving Reyyan to follow him. (This dude is selfish). The crowd has dispersed and only a few people remain. One is Fusun who doesn’t waste the opportunity to mock Azize, telling her she is exactly where she should be and lets her know that Fusun knows all her secrets. You are not allowed to die, she continues, you will be tested by your family members, one by one. She tries to continue berating Azize but Nasuh tells her to leave. Fusun reminds him to keep in mind who is friend and who is foe.

Under the watchful eyes of Azat, Firat, Gonul and Mahmut, Nasuh tells Ayse that he cannot leave her in this state. She tells him he must leave and she will be in contact with him. Azat watches in almost disbelief as Nasuh turns back to look at Ayse. Gonul tells HAG to get up. HAG responds that Gonul should leave and when she refuses, HAG tells Firat to take Gonul home. Firat agrees and says they need to be with Miran right now, not here. Gonul refuses to leave, so Firat walks away saying this is where Azize wants to be.

Gonul goes back to HAG crying and HAG tells her to leave and strokes her face, saying she loves her and never recognized Gonul’s worth as a person. She tells Gonul to return to Kars and be with her mother. HAG drives away with Mahmut as Gonul runs after her. Azat has remained and stops Gonul from running after the car. She is afraid that HAG is going to die. Azat tries to comfort her.
Miran stops walking long enough to tell Reyyan off for trying to stop Azize and putting herself in danger. He thinks that Azize is too selfish a person to kill herself and she staged that whole event for everyone and Reyyan fell for it. Reyyan’s attempt to penetrate the angry bangs shield is futile. Miran stomps off, leaving his pregnant wife to follow behind.

Dilsah lays in her mother’s lap as Sukran strokes her head. She remembers how Dilsah used to do this every morning before going to school. The nice moment is ruined by a knock on the door that frightens Dilsah. She thinks it is Azize come to take her back. It is not Azize, but nearly as frightening, it is Miran, asking her to open the door.

He says, I am your son, Miran. She says, my son is dead, this is trick. Good Grannie tries to help, but Dilsah will not believe anyone. Miran asks her to please open the door just so he can see her face, he won’t touch or hug her. As Hazar and Reyyan look on, he reminds her how she used to push him on a swing and he would pretend to drive a car. He says, I remember so little because they made me forget you. But I do remember your face, mother.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #64
Part 2 of 4

Dilsah remains unconvinced and scared. She tells Good Grannie that they need to leave and so does “he.” Through the porous door, Miran hears her and begins to cry, saying he will not leave. He collapses to the floor leaning against the door. Hazar tells him not to get so upset. Dilsah needs time to calm down and clear her head. Miran cannot believe that his mother is right behind that door but she doesn’t believe who he is. He jumps up and says he will make her believe, he heads down the stairs where all the Sadoglu roaches are and runs off but at least this time, stops long enough for Reyyan to go with him.

Hazar turns to Nasuh and yells at him saying, look at the state of my son! How could you hide the fact that Dilsah was alive? Nasuh responds saying, he thought Dilsah was dead that night. Neither she nor Mehmet were moving or breathing and his focus was on getting Hazar to the hospital. Hazar is furious and heads back upstairs as Zehra watches the interaction.

At the Aslanbey konak, Ayise, Esma and the servant guy (I can never remember his name) are waiting for news. Ayise wonders if she should let Mahfuz know what is going on (We wonder where the heck Mahfuz is?). No need as Fusun and Firat arrive. Esma immediately asks for Azize and before Firat can respond, Fusun jumps in and says Azize is where she deserves to be and paid the price for everything she has done. In honor of the great day, make me a coffee Esma.

Firat is having none of that and tells Fusun that as his mother, Esma is now the lady of the house and as a guest she has no right to boss her around. Fusun is amused by Firat sudden claim to family fame and tells him that he and she are related by blood, but Esma isn’t. Firat pushes the point that it is now his house and his rules. If Fusun doesn’t like that, then there is the door. Again, Fusun says this is her fathers house but Firat counters with the fact that all the Aslanbey assets including this konak are his.

Fusun tries some more nasty comments, but Esma jumps in and tells Firat not to respond to her provocations. Yes, Azize is bad, says Esma, but you are just as bad. Can’t you see that no one here has any respect for you? Even your own son has left your side. You have been so blinded by your hatred for Azize, you never cared for your son.

This comment is a temporary liver punch to Fusun (or maybe it’s all the gas (thanks carmella) she is carrying around). So you equate me to Azize? No, says Firat, you are both terrible people, but Azize was out in the open with her hatred, you conduct your evil behind the scenes and you will end up worse that her, guaranteed, Tia. Without another word, Fusun, her gas, coat and cane (why does she need a cane anyway?) head up the stairs as Firat hugs Esma.

Harun, on the phone enters a hotel room. He is surprised to see Yaren waiting for him in a sexy black teddy. He is quick to end the call. Yaren? He says with an admiring gaze. After a bit of stumbling words, Yaren says, Harun, we can have a real marriage, if you want to that is. We can start a real family as husband and wife. Today you stood up for me in front of your mother. That meant a lot to me. I know that our marriage started off a little bit strange, but you have never given up on me. I don’t think like I used to anymore. I got it.

What did you get? He asks. That you truly love me, she responds. If there is a chance for us, I am ready. She smiles as she turns off the light and drops the cover to her black teddy. They kiss.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #64
Part 3 of 4

In the car, Driving Ms. Azize, thinks back to what Miran told her in the town square. He loved her and wanted to sleep with her and be comforted thinking he might still be able to smell his mother on her. She sobs. Crying and driving Mahmut tells her he will do anything for her and has been a good son. She says that all evil has a price to pay and it is time for her to pay the piper. He asks where they are going, she tells him to drive until she says stop.

ReyMir arrive back at the Sad casa. Reyyan is holding the baby bundle Azize gave to Miran. Before snatching out of her lap, Reyyan holds his hand and tell Miran that she cannot possibly understand how he feels, but they have been through a lot. They have to stay focused on the positive. Baby Lentil is alive and so is Dilsah. She cautions him not to push so hard. Give her time, she has returned from the unknown and needs time.

He should be happy, not sad. Miran repeats, she is alive. Yes, says Rey, she is. My father is also alive. Yes, repeats Rey. God has given you back what you lost, little by little. This should make you happy, it is not a disaster but a miracle. He wants Dilsah to think of him the way Reyyan thinks of their child. Do you think that is selfish? (All in Favor, say Aye!). Rey tells him to have patience with her, let her remember him and forget what she has been through. This going to take time, she reminds him. I will prove to her I am her son, he says. She doesn’t need proof Miran, she needs faith, responds Reyyan, proof is with the head, faith is with the heart. There was more, but you get the picture.

Hazar is in the bedroom looking upset as Zehra comes into the room. Acting like a good daughter in law, she advocates for Nasuh saying that Hazar shouldn’t be so hard on him, he wasn’t hiding anything from Hazar. What about you Zehra? Are you hiding anything from me? Me, she says, what would I be hiding (shall we give him the list?)? Really Zehra? Why did you tell Dilsah that her mother was dead? She tried to kill herself because of what you said, responds Hazar.

It was not like that, sputters Zehra, did she tell you that? You told me, says Hazar, I heard it out of your own mouth while you were helping her change out of those wet clothes. I had to say it. Why would you do something like that? Because she needed to go away. Where would she go Zehra, says Hazar, this woman had no place to go to find her mother or her son. How could you do this to another mother? Zehra gets snippy and says, Miran is not your only child and I am your wife. Have you thought about what will happen to this family if she is here? What is going to happen, Zehra, you tell me?

Zehra spouts nonsense about Hazar ignoring Gul and the baby and she is invisible to him while all around her she has to listen to everyone talk about the legendary love between him and Dilsah. Are you jealous of a woman who has been crushed by this ordeal and Azize?

Did you ever think how I would feel if you brought her into this house? Hazar is not backing down and tells her that she is the reason he had to bring Dilsah here. He left Dilsah at her grandparents’ home, but Zehra chased her away. Hazar is going to take care of the mother of his son. The fight continues getting louder and of course everyone in the courtyard can hear, including GT, Cihan and Handan.

Gonul is beside herself crying in a field with Azat following behind. Where could she be Azat? My grandmother is going to kill herself; I know it. Maybe not, says Azat, maybe she just went to Kars. No, says Gonul, she wanted to make amends and couldn’t so now she will kill herself. I have to find her! I know that feeling of desperation, you try to make amends but no one is listening. She falls into his arms crying.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #64
Part 4 of 4

Do you remember that night on the rooftop what you said to me Azat? Yes, he responds, that everyone deserves a second chance. That night I had given up on everything just like HAG did in the town square. You gave me hope that night. You reached out to me in good faith.

Smiling, Azat says, I did that? No, Gonul, it was your willingness to make a change. I look at you now and you are different person. I am? She says, does that mean you really forgive me? He stares into her eyes, saying Gonul a couple of times and looks like he is leaning in for a kiss, but she pulls away and breaks the moment. I need to go back home, maybe she is at home. Frustrated with himself, Azat follows after her.

ReyMir enter the Sad konak. Miran is clutching the baby bundle and heads upstairs. Reyyan tries to explain to Hazar what is going in. Sukran is praying as Dilsah naps. The knock on the door by her annoying son startles her awake. Mom, says Miran, I have the baby bundle you made for me. Maybe if you look at it you will remember. Look into my eyes, you will remember me. Miran is of course crying.

Hazar pleads with Miran not to torture himself and to give Dilsah some time. Miran ignores him, pulling photos out of the bundle and sliding them under the door for Dilsah to see. Look Mom, here is a picture of me hugging you. Dilsah at least leaves the bed and quietly comes to the door. She sits down and looks at the picture. This is my son Miran she says, you are not. He sends more pics and the letter she wrote him, but she is not convinced that this is all still a trick. Not even GG can get her to open the door.

Miran sobs, begs and feels sorry for himself. Reyyan tells him to give his mother some time and not to get down and out. The recapper is tired and had a long day so I will spare you and me the boo hoo session.

Back in the car, Azize tells Mahmut to stop in a deserted rocky area. She finds the perfect spot and tells him get the shovel out of the car and dig a very large, very deep grave. The teary-eyed Mahmut obeys. To herself, she says, you are dead Azize and it is necessary to bury the dead. On that cheery note, the episode ends.

Many thanks, VVS, for this excellent recap of a not-so-excellent episode. I greatly appreciated your snarky asides, such as your comment about Zehra: "Me, she says, what would I be hiding (shall we give him the list?)?"

Given the many ways Azize has lied to and mistreated Gonul, I was somewhat surprised at Gonul's sympathy for Azize, though Gonul's later explanation to Azat helped me understand why Gonul felt as she did. And yes, I too thought she and Azat were about to kiss. They didn't, but I think it won't be long until they do.

Miran's response to Azize's scene at the town square made sense to me. I believe Azize was sincere, but I can easily understand why Miran wouldn't trust her and would think she staged the whole event. She's been crafty and dishonest for almost his entire life. Why should he believe she has suddenly changed? However, for some reason, Miran's sobbing and pleading with Dilsah didn't move me as much as it should have. Perhaps the episode showed too much of the same thing for too long. I don't know.

Yikes, what is the world coming to? Gonul has become a much more sympathetic character, Azize is repenting, and even Yaren and Harun have undergone quite a transformation. Is it possible that the dizi is moving toward a conclusion?

Great recap VVS! You covered everything and added your own icing to top things off! I agree with Reyyan giving Azize a good dose of her own medicine, letting that she needs to live in order to be forgiven, to marinate. I don’t think Azize is going to kill herself, but she’s going to bury the person we’ve come to know and hate as “Azize.” Ayse will emerge and pay for all of Azize’s sins. Poor Mahmut! The consummate murderer has a soft side and I just can’t wrap my brain around his cold bloodedness and his ability to feel this deeply for Azize! Go figure!

ITA with you about “angry bangs” VVS! He’s got to be the most selfish of idiots in this dizi! He throws around his anger and woe is me ad nauseum! Why can’t he give the mother he loves so much just a little bit of time to accept this new reality! Why d owes he have to sit and beg and cry——-LOUDLY—— that he is her son! He’s definitely in 5 yr old mode with his behavior! I’m really beginning not to like Miran! It’s all about him, even when he is comforting Reyyan about something or the other. He is SICKENING!

Glad both Firat and Esma put the gaseous one in her place! Don't try to be nice you BIHHHHH! You might think you can fool some of the people, but we’ve got your number! Now stick that up your cane and choke on it witch!! Then she has the nerve to brag that she she has more business’s and hotels than she needs! Well get to steppin Fusun and trip over one of them! You are most definitely not welcome here!

Yes Gonul, is changing for the better——- bless her little heart, lol! Loved Azat’s facial expression when she told him what he’s done for her! He truly doesn’t know his own worth——— but with Handan and Cihan as parents, can you blame him!

And lastly, the other SELFISH one! That damn Zehra! You tell a fragile, scared, all alone person that her mother is dead all because Hazar wasn’t paying enough attention to you! You almost cause a suicide, but that’s okay too, cause your stupid azz mind —and Handan——- told you that your husband is going to leave you for Dilsah!?!?! How low can you go Zehra, and then try to gaslight Hazar into being the one in the wrong!?!? Not to mention how easily you lie! I’m really not liking you Zehra, and if Hazar would leave you so easily, then he’s not the man for you or anybody! But how I wish he would leave you right about now!

Thanks again VVS! Your recap was excellent!

Steve, I will be watching I will post a recap this evening.

Hercai

VVS, thank you for every detail of this spiraling hot mess.

I was hopeful when the mysterious Aslan came on the scene , but that hope soon fizzled out. I even hung my hopes on the mysterious Mafmoud who seems to have disappeared .

I am expecting tantrumthrowing Angrybangs to start sucking his thumb if he keeps regressing . How does this big old baby expect to be a father to an actual baby ? It seems galans \ heroes have gone out of style . Azat is the closest we have to one in this pouty, shouty tale .

I'm trying to play catch up as I'm a little behind on watching. I'll be back with my comments as soon as possible.
Darcy, thank you for keeping us up to date, I'll give you a helping hand starting with the episode that airs tonight.

Enjoyed your terrific comments, Juanita, Susanlynn and carmella! It was a rough episode to recap with little movement in the storyline. I am probably the only Miran fan here but last night tested my seat at his table.

Juanita, between Azize, Yaren and Gonul, I think Gonul is the only one I believe is truly sorry and trying to make amends. I am still not convinced Azize is really reverted back to being Ayse and Yaren is still the yellow centipede.

carmella, your comments are better than the episode! The “gaseous one” and the “selfish one” made me laugh. I was happy Firat and Esma put Fusun in her place.

Susanlynn, this is a hot mess! Miran is one step away from sucking his thumb, it is pathetic. Baby Lentil is going to have to raise his own daddy.

VVS... EXCELLENT RECAP.... just on point. One hour and half of it is commercials because... we are sliding into homebase......

Hercai family...YES..TO ALL!!!..

......except I am still Team Zehranni & Hazar...!!..I don't really-don't see a happy ending for them..Hazar's heart must be done by now..!!

Reyyan... just let Azize blow her brains out... suicide with a weapon is an unforgivable sin..no redemption!!.. however.. Azize would have added more trauma and Evil eye to the SADoglu karma..

Mad mutt wants to be Azize's son?? bury the witch...and jump in after her...drop dead.. and have done with it...

Miran, it looks like Azize played .. an extreme version of 'YOUR BABY IS DEAD' game to provoke Dilsah to the point of insanity:

.Let- ME BRING- YOU- YOUR- SON..ooops -he -is- dead... ooops.N0- he -isn't/yes, he -is/no..he -is -alive/nope..he's- dead..CAR ACCIDENT /your- baby -is -Not- dead ..HE -IS-IN THE HOSPITAL ALIVE/no -he isn't..we buried him../yes, he is alive , we were playing!!/no-he is alive AND -COMING- TO -YOU -TONIGHT../nope! he- is- dead ...

......OVER & OVER ...over and over/ over and over and over/over. ..FOR YEARS!!.....And the effort Azize put into it...WAS HER INTENTION to drive Dilsah to suicide....[HARAM/SIN]..

......wow.!!!...JUST FOR SADISTIC FUN....AZIZE is EVIL-insane!!

Reyyan... dude and his poor Ummi,BOTH NEED THERAPY!!!.. Reyyan, you ARE going to lose your baby... if you DONT' SIT THE 'EFF' DOWN...!!

Thanks so much, VVS. Wonderful recap! You described things perfectly.

I loved "liver punch" to Fusun. I think we'd all like to see that cane where the sun doesn't shine.

I think Mahmoud's blind loyalty to Ayse is IIRC because he was living on the street and volunteered to help her at the scene where Mehmet had shot himself in the head. He certainly was not a robot in that scene in the car, weeping at the thought of losing the person who's been his whole world.

Carmella, loved your instructions to Fusun to "get to steppin". Of course she won't. We thought the same thing over and over about Hazar and his family staying in the Sad konak when Nasuh was at his GT worst.

And I am also fed up with Miran. He promised Reyyan that his being a jerk was gone. Then he stalks off in a snit because she risked herself for Ayse. Doesn't he know by now that this is who she is? And, of course, his longing to be near his mother causes him to disregard everyone who keeps telling him this is a bad idea. The woman is going to need a loong time to fully process everything.

Zehra currently has the most slapable face in the dizi. First she tries lying through her teeth. Then she blames Hazar for what she did to Dilsah. Please, writers, let Hazar move on from her. I doubt it will happen because of the very young children they have together, but she doesn't deserve him. This is not her first screwup. She kept that letter from him about Miran being his son for weeks. Was she confronted about that? Can't remember.

Season 2 Episode 6 Part 1

Still on the side of the road, Andres is shuffling around some of his equipment in his car so he can give Rosario a ride. He notices that she is looking at him too intently and comments that she is making him a little uncomfortable. Rosario tells him she is just a little thrown by their meeting, she also states that she used to know his dad. Really? Andres says, you must know my mom too. Of course, Rosario responds, I know Sarita Elizondo.

Speaking of Sara, she is withdrawing a large sum of money from the bank (now who withdrawals large amounts of cash or even pays anyone in cash in 2022?) and it’s clear she is being watched. She places the money in her purse and walks towards her car. A man puts his phone down and pulls out a knife. He walks toward Sara’s car – suddenly Nino shows up on his bike and gets right in between Sara and the man’s path! He insists the guy get on the bike now! He takes off.

Rosario tells Andres a little bit – very little bit – about knowing his parents and really most of his family. She’s clear that she was never really friends with Sarita which implies indirectly that she knew Franco a little better. She asks where Franco is and Andres answers that he doesn’t know. He’s had very little contact with his dad since he left his mom over three years ago. Rosario changes the subject to music. She tells him she’s singer and about to open a new bar! She will show it to him when he gives her a ride, it’s close to her house.

Nino’s thug passenger is not happy about being prevented from attacking the lady with all the money, but Nino assures him he knows the family and that they don’t travel alone. Sara has bodyguards and the thug just didn’t see them, Nino assures him he saved his ass. (I didn’t see any bodyguards pretty sure Sara was unaccompanied) The thug pulled the knife on him and got aggressive but he manages to convince him it was a close call.

Later at the school Gaby runs into Nino and asks him where he has been. He hasn’t been answering her calls. He makes excuses. Gaby wants to go to his house, meet his family, he’s cagy about this too. He lives in a dangerous neighborhood. He doesn’t want her getting closer to his life it’s better if they just leave things how they are. He offers her a ride instead, but Sara is there to pick her up. Gaby feels like Sara is paranoid and controlling and trying to keep tags on her. Nino says he doesn’t know Sara well but she seems like a nice lady, Gaby should tell her to be safe and not go out alone. (What kind of place is San Marcos if it’s dangerous to go out alone in the middle of the day?) Gaby thinks Nino is as paranoid as her mom. He just makes a vague comment about the dangers lately.

Oscar’s side chick (we learn her name is Romina) pulls up to her shed with her godmother and Duval complaining the whole time about how ratty her car is and how Oscar hasn’t provided something better. Godmother thinks she doesn’t pressure him enough. Duval complains the bag his mom handed him is too heavy, but she tells him to man up. Madrina (I am calling her Madrina/godmother until we learn her name) thinks Romina should be grateful she has everything she needs and Oscar always pays child support on time, but Romina is bitter because she doesn’t have the luxuries she wants. Romina makes a comment about how Oscar hasn’t been back, he avoids her. Madrina wonders why…lol Madrina thinks Romina should use Duval to pressure Oscar, but Romina thinks he’s too dumb to do it. Madrina says leave it to me, I’ll teach him.

Season 2 Episode 6 Part 2

Norma and Jimena are chatting about Jimena’s reconciliation with Oscar. They send Quintina to fetch something from the kitchen and then start to talk about problems in the bedroom. Norma shares her sex life has changed a lot with time and the troubles with the boys but he doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. Jimena isn’t that patient or trusting, she thinks you have to keep things spicy or the flame will go out. They also talk about the problems with Juan and Oscar and how Oscar is avoiding the ranch. They need to help the brothers make up they shouldn’t still be fighting like little boys. Jimena also asks about Rosario. Norma thinks the issue is resolved and she just hopes Rosario stays away. Jimena obviously doesn’t know Rosario at all because she says she’s sure after what happened with the twins Rosario won’t mess with anybody in their family.

Rosario is clearly going to mess with at least two members of the Reyes family as she is currently showing Andres all around Bar Alcala. He is impressed with what she’s done with the place. She introduces him to Pancha (as Andres, just Andres) and they have some drinks. Andres tries to leave to get back to the band but first Rosario wants to know more about the band. What kind of music do they play? They have a very diverse group of musicians and they play it all. What a surprise, Rosario is looking for a band! Would Andres and the band like to audition?

Pancha goes to find Blanca to make Rosario some lemonade and runs into Creepy Gunter who is fit to be tied because Rosario came back with that boy and he doesn’t know who he is. Who the hell is that kid? He demands, Pancha has no idea, figure it out yourself she dismissed Gunter. (It would creep me out being in the same building as that spook let alone talking to him)

Back at the Hacienda, Juan David is eating a meal and it appears his brothers are more watching him eat than eating themselves. They start yakking about Rosario and how surprised they are she was important enough for a family meeting, how rich she is, etc etc. Juan David just listens without saying anything until Erik says ‘What about you Samson, what do you think?’ (I want to know why he calls him Samson all the time, biblical reference?) Juan David insists that he was only interested in cleaning up their mess. The twins aren’t buying and tell their brother to confess that he wants to see her come back to the ranch. Juan David smiles (and what a smile!) do you really think she’d come back after the way you welcomed her? Erik thinks maybe she’s dying to see him like all the other women in town who are lusting after Don Juan. Leon thinks she looked interested. Juan David just eats his food and drinks his drink and says nothing to his brothers teasing, it looks like he’s about to though maybe the camera cut right before Leon’s 1, 2, 3.

Rosario is arranging the lights for the bar when Gunter interrupts because he can’t wait another minute to interrogate her about Andres. He asks about the car and he looks like Rosario is at least a little suspicious about Gunter’s involvement in her car troubles. She says Andres brought her back when the car had troubles, he’s a musical director and he’s going to audition for the club. Pancha is thrilled, Gunter is not.

Pasion
Season 2 Episode 6 Part 3

Juan David informs his brothers that not all women are like their little female friends (hmm). He says Rosario is a respectful, married woman. His brothers talk over each other in their rush to correct him, she’s divorced! And if grandma rushed over her to warn us about her, I doubt that it’s because she is a saint (he has a point there). Juan David congratulates his brothers, they’ve had so much practice talking nonsense that now they can do it in sync! He warns them that if Rosario returns they WILL receive her with respect like any other visitor to their ranch. Juan and Norma arrive, Juan wants to know if Juan David is ready, they have to go see a supplier. Juan David gets up, kisses his mom goodbye like the polite young man he is and heads out to do his father’s bidding. Juan tells the twins to be good and do their work, he too kisses his wife and leaves. The twins ask about Aunt Jimena and they comment Uncle Oscar isn’t coming around they miss him. Norma agrees, they need to be more united than ever so they can confront whatever danger arises as a family.

Jimena and Oscar are in bed. Oscar is asleep and dreaming about Duval. Jimena wants to know what is wrong. Oscar wakes and blames it on the stress of opening the new Boutique. Oscar perks up with Jimena’s reassurance and asks her to forgive him if he ever disappointed her. Jimena doesn’t know what he is talking about. They fight like any couple, but he hasn’t done anything that needs forgiveness (oh boy). He says he knows, but if he ever does he hopes she will forgive him because he needs her and he can’t lose her. He asks her to promise, she says she will think about it.

Madrina goes to work on manipulating that poor Duval into asking his daddy for a new car. She isn’t happy to hear he asked daddy for a new bike, not a new car. He shows her the necklace daddy gave him. She takes it, he protests because it’s his but she claims it’s evil and she has to protect him from it – she will take it and neutralize it. (She looks like a psycho in this scene)

Andres’s band auditions for Rosario and Pancha. They love them, Rosario compliments Andres but it deflects the praise on the band. Pancha wonders why she never heard of them and Andres says they usually play on campus and at cultural events not bars. Rosario hires them and pretend they need to think about it but the band is it. Panchita is very excited until she finally hears Andres’ last name and finds out he is Franco’s son! (Andres is very comfortable with Rosario clearly, as he is calling her Rosario and not ‘Senora Rosario’)

The twins are talking in their room. The annon guy is calling again but now he’s threatening to call Juan and Norma. Leon is freaked out, it’s one thing if he threatens them but it’s another if he messes with Juan David or his parents! Leon suggests the guy could be connected to Adela Carreno. Erik thinks that’s crazy; they don’t even know where Adela is. Leon says, exactly! Like Uncle Oscar said, she’s disappeared! The boys see a shadow and realize they have company. Juan is outside and he’s overheard. Erik rudely asks if he can do anything for his dad, and Juan says the clients are waiting for them at the stables, what are they doing upstairs in the middle of the work day. The boys take off, Juan looks very contemplative.

Norma later finds Juan alone in their room thinking. She asks what is up. He asks her if she has heard of Adela Carreno, she hasn’t. Juan thinks it’s strange that the twins have never mentioned her but today he heard them whispering about her. What’s worse, he thinks Oscar knows something and isn’t telling him about it. Norma thinks he should talk to Oscar but Juan would rather talk to the twins. He makes the mistake of saying they are going to tell me even if I have to force them and Norma flies into over protective mother mode and calls herself instead to get the boys to come and talk to her and Juan both. (I swear this woman just needs to let her husband handle it!)

Season 2 Episode 6 Part 4

Gunter is giving Rosario hell again/still and Rosario calls him out. They start arguing about Andres and Gunter wants to know if Rosario plans to mess with both Juan David and Andres (the patio was wondering too). Rosario slaps the hell out of Gunter and demands respect. He says he would have left her a long time ago if he didn’t care about her as much as he does, but no he stays and protects her. He tells her she sees her husband and her daughter has her enemies, but she is her own worse enemy! He walks out. (Creepy creepy creepy)

Erik and Leon are protesting too much. They are tired of everyone and everything and they have no idea why Uncle Oscar is getting involved in the investigation or why that woman. Juan says that women’s name is Adela Carreno! He questions whether they have memory problems or if they are putting on an act? He heard them mention her earlier. Erik predictably turns the conversation to Juan being nosy and spying, yada yada yada. Norma seems bought off by this and is trying to pacify her childish son (Just let Juan hit him already! It’s good for him!) Leon gets in on the act and complains about being treated like a criminal and having no freedom, they aren’t allowed to do anything, go anywhere, hang out with their friends, etc. Norma says they are staying home until this is resolved. The twins whine that their parents treat every stranger off the street with more consideration than their own children. Juan doesn’t seem particularly moved by their BS but he does tell his sons that he loves them and has tried to be a great father, he says the only time he was careless was when he let them live with Gabriela and this is her influence. Norma tries to pacify him by telling them the twins hear him and are going to listen to him (I wouldn’t hold my breathe)

Sara is giving Gaby the you have to learn to drive lecture. She knows she is tired of hearing it but she isn’t going to give up until she listens. Learn to drive or I’ll hire you a driver. The conversation turns to Andres and he informs his mom he is delaying his planned trip to study in Canada because it got a new job at Bar Alcala! He’s their new Director of Music! Andres is excited, Sara is pissed! Andres doesn’t understand why Sara is so upset (unlike his demon cousins Andres manages to argue with his mother without being disrespectful) Sara finally gets to the point, I don’t want you working with that woman!

And there we end

novelera, if I recall correctly, Zehra kept the "whose your daddy letter" in Guls' doll as a hiding place, Sultana found it and gave it to Aslan who burned it. Zehra only admitted to "seeing" it, she hasn't been confronted.

HalimaCandy I like that you are sticking on your Zehra team! I will wave to you from the lonely Miran table.

I feel like the writers are over selling how creepy this town is. Nino says Gaby can't go to his house because it's the 'bad area of town' but the university had a murder, Sara was nearly robbed by a gang in broad daylight. Some creep was following Gaby home. They do all those panned out shots at the university like the next body is about to drop...where exactly are these people living? Then you throw Gunter and that Madrina character in there and it's just spooky. Not sure sometimes if I am watching drama, sci-fi, some occult sacrifice, and a serial killer anthology.

Norma is getting on my nerves. What exactly does she think Juan is going to do? Why is she so scared to just let him talk to his sons? She can't really think he will hurt them? I mean not more than they need. Someone needs to smack some sense into both of them! I hate the whole victim act, they are clearly up to their eye balls in something and they need to take responsibility... of course it would take all the drama out of the drama if they just straightened up and flew right in episode 6 so there's that!

Well here's hoping there's more action tonight! Can't wait to hear your take on it Adriana! :)

Thanks so much for your recaps, Darcy. I am not caught up. But there are some very annoying things in the novela. That Gunter is a sick puppy. They haven't said so, but he must somehow be lusting after Rosario. And I can't understand why she puts up with him.

I've decided I didn't see the original. I did see Fuego en la Sangre, which was, I believe, a remake by Uni. Many of us here on Caray loved to mock that one. Anyone remember the Indian Witchdoctor with the diaper?

The actor portraying Juan David is good. The twins need 10 slaps upside the head each and a week locked in their bedrooms. I was disgusted when their mother (Norma?) slapped her husband for calling them to task. I get the impression that one of them (Felix?) is the worst of the two.

Mario Cimarro still drives me nuts. He has the worst diction I've ever heard of in an actor. I have to back up the recording a couple of times to understand what in blazes he just said.

Anyway, sorry for the harsh criticisms. I might be more positive if Michel Brown were there from the beginning. I've loved him in everything I've ever seen him in.

I do enjoy the music and the scenery.

Thank you Darcy for your wonderful, detailed recap! I, personally think that they’re spending an awful lot of time on Rosario and her club. I really don’t care why Rosario has come back to San Marcos, or why she is insinuating herself into the lives of the Reyes’s. It’s not like she has a real bone to pick with any of them, and the reverse May -December romance they’re building up to doesn’t interest me all that much. I’m not an “age” prude, but I think she should go pick on someone in her own league. Gunter is downright Uber CREEPY, and seems to think that he has special rights to Rosario. He is the most unattractive man, and is always scheming. The phrase “ GET A LIFE” totally applies to him! Between him and ghastly grandma they take spooky-creepy-ugly to a new level!

I also don’t like that every scene has dramatic music either! WTH! It’s not called for when people are just having a regular conversation. And yes, it makes you wonder exactly what kind of show this is supposed to be?? The twins are overly dramatic too, and really need to be put in their place. But every time Juan wants to do that, Norma interferes. The need the discipline of a strong man, and I’m with you in wondering if Norma really thinks he will hurt them or something? I realize, as a mother, she wants to smooth the hard spots, and soften the blow, but those two are entitled and disrespectful!

I’d really like to know why Sarita and Franco broke up, and they also need some younger females besides Gaby. Maybe the twins wouldn’t be so rotten if the had girlfriends that they truly like and care about. As for Juan David, he’s special! Too special for the likes of Rosario! I hate to think of him dirtying himself with her, lol.

Thanks again for your recap! I really enjoyed going over last nights events and getting more clarity on a few of the conversations. Much appreciated!

I am TOTALLY with you novelera on Zehra! I just want to slap the bull crap outta her multiple times on multiple levels! Yet, I do admire you Halimacandy for sticking with her, lol. Curious, but what’s the attraction?

Loved “Angrybangs” is gonna start sucking his thumb! Lol! And I do admire your devotion to Miran, VVS. I almost hate to say it, but I’m sticking with Azize. Yeah, she was an awful scum sucking bat outta hell, but she gives 100% and what you saw, and will see going forward, is what you get!

PASION #7, part 1

Rosario tells Panchita about how she met Andres. She couldn’t find any resemblance between Andres and Franco, but she did feel an instant connection to the boy. Panchita thinks this is about their shared love for music. Rosario mentions how she found out Franco left Sara, how odd, since he adored her and they made a great couple. She even felt envious, because she never stopped loving him.

The sisters talk about Rosario and how to deal with her. Sarita wants her out of their lives. Gabriela calls just then and Sarita tells her what is going on. While Dominga is trying to feed Don Martin, Gabriela is shocked to hear that Andres would behave like this, they absolutely have to intervene.

Jimena calls Oscar to tell him they have a family meeting at Gabriela’s house. Andres gets a call straight from his grandma, but he says he’s busy with work. Gabriela won’t have that, she basically threatens him, and so Andres caves. During this call, Gunther lurks in the backgroung.

Leon gets another call from the blackmailer, once again says he and his brother don’t have that kind of money he’s asking for. Eric grabs the phone, asking the guy to meet and fight like a man, but the other one hangs up. Eric thinks this is because the guy is afraid of him, but he can play with Leon because he is weaker. They get into it over who is braver and how they should deal with the blackmailer, but Leon is certain the guy knows about what happened to the teacher. The phone rings again, Eric answers thinking it’s the same guy again, but it’s the abuela summoning them, too.

Rosario thinks about Andres, is worried because she found him distant, will this get him into problems with his family? If you only knew…

PASION #7, part 2

Andres arrives at Gabriela’s house to find the whole family gathered.
This is an intervention, a trial, but Andres has no clue wat the fuss is all about. They are all here ant to help Andres!! Gabriela announces, they are only trying to make him reason! Juan, who I find rather funny this whole scene, says that he has no clue why they are here, either. Oscar agrees and JD about the same thing, too. Sarita says this is about a problem she has with her son and Gaby realizes this is about her brother’s new job with Rosario Montes.
Oscar doesn’t get what the fuss is about, work is work. Gabriela is worried that Andres will get involved in Rosario’s shady deals. Andres says he’s only doing music, Gabriela says Rosario came back to town to destroy the family, look what she’s done with the twins.

Eric and Leon, who have been listening in amusement so far, are no taking this as a joke, they protest saying there has been enough talking about them; Gabriela insists Rosario wants to destroy them, but Juan thinks she is overreacting. All the cousins agree that Andres should work that the bar. Norma thinks they all need to calm down, but Gabriela calls Andres a rebel, while he think this is absurd and he can make his own decisions. Sarita disagrees, she will never allow her son to work for that woman.

Oscar says what happened in the past should stay in the past, with all due respect Sarita is upset because Franco was involved with Rosario in the past. Jimena and Juan warn him to be careful what he says, but Oscar insists, they are all adults and the kids should know that Rosario and Franco were lovers before Sarita met Franco. Sarita jumps at Oscar, the family has to step in, and Gabriela concludes they are already fighting and it is all because of Rosario, who is still causing problems. And they call HER crazy! Jimena goes after her mother, she is upset with Oscar.

The whole scene is beyond ridiculous, Sarita running to her mom for help and Gabriela completely taking over and trying to impose her decisions make me instantly like Andres, who I didn’t even care about before. I get why Sarita is afraid, I’d feel the same in her place, BUT this is not the way to go about it, especially not with a son who has been so devoted and well behaved so far. Sarita should have spoken to her son in private about all her fears and her past with Rosario, but Franco leaving her has resurrected all her past insecurities. She was mommy’s little good girl before she fell in love with Franco, too, but now she’s a grown woman, she should know better.

PASION #7, part 3

At night, Juan and Norma are in bed, talking about how hard this has to be for Sarita. What if Rosario will only cause problems? Norma wonders. Sarita wants to support Andres, but does he have to work for Rosario? Juan thinks enough talking, what if they worry about them instead? He wants to get some sexy time, but Norma thinks he should sleep, he has a lot of work in the morning. Auch! I guess the times where you’d make out in the hay and have romantic rendezvous in hotels are long gone.

Sarita, looking very ridiculous in the middle of her bed, asks Gaby to leave her alone. But Andres doesn’t leave, sits by her side, and takes her hand. She feels ashamed for everything that happened at her mom’s house, she doesn’t want her kids to think badly of her. Andres thinks it’s normal to have a past and rivalries, but he has been waiting for an opportunity like this forever, he can’t give it up. Sarita gives him her blessing, no matter how hard it is for her. They hug. Finally! Nice job, Sarita!

The next day at their shop, Oscar and Jimena talk about some dresses when they get word that Juan is there. Oscar is upset his brother showed up without notice, he doesn’t want problems with him. Juan arrives, all smiles, Jimena welcomes him and then leaves. Juan apologizes for coming without calling, but they need to talk about something delicate – the things Oscar said to the cops. What was the deal with the twins and Adela Carrero?

Oscar knows he probably wasn’t his place to intervene, but the twins trust him. Juan wonders if Oscar’ would rather be in good terms with his kids instead of him. He wants them to fix things. Oscar says the twins and Adela were school friends, they were invited to her house, then they fought and they were thrown out. Juan wants to know if the boys did something bad to that girl. Oscar jumps NO, but Juan knows something bad must have happened, since the teacher treated the twins so bad. That’s because he hated them, Oscar explains, the guy even abused his own kids, Felix and Adela. Juan thinks it odd that Adela is gone, could she be dead, too?

The twins talk about the same subject but they mumble so much I couldn’t understand exactly what they were saying.

Felix is with Matias, the cop, wondering what happened to his sister, where can she be. How can the authorities not find her? Matias, looking very fishy, mentions how she was kept locked up, but Felix wants him to keep that hush hush, the whole town doesn’t need to know their private affairs. Matias thinks it will all come out if Adela doesn’t show up. Felix is afraid that Oscar will find out more, since he’s investigating, too. He’s afraid this is just the calm before the storm, what if the informant only lied to him to get the twins in trouble?
They see Rosario and Panchita walk by, Matias calls her a queen, but Felix is worried about the bar opening.

PASION #7, part 4
And speaking of, the big night is upon us. Andres and the band are playing, as the dancers are getting ready backstage. Rosario is stretching, getting ready to perform, too. But she’s very nervous, everything needs to be perfect. Panchita tries to reassure her, a lot of important people are here, even the mayor. Yeah, but who else besides the mayor, Rosario want to know.

At the dinner table, the twins are checking their phones for updates on the bar opening. Juan was invited (I think), and JD, too, but apparently they don’t want to go. JD won’t go because of the problem his brothers had with her (and as he says this, you can see that he’s dying to be there). But Norma thinks he should go, have some fun. Besides this is Andres’ big night, too.

Panchita talks to the audience, welcomes them to the rebirth of Bar Alcala and its brightest star, Rosario Montes. Gunther lurks in the background (even when I forget to mention him, just always assume this). Rosario comes on stage to sing her signature song, which I’ve been humming for the past 20 years. It’s kind of impressing to see these scenes all over again after all this time, it must feel surreal for the actress. And she doesn’t look a day older while she performs.
Nino tries to get in. Gaby who is inside enjoying the show, has to come fetch him because the bouncer won’t let him in.

The song ends and Rosario thanks the audience, her dancers and her band, especially Andres Reyes, the maestro. And then she introduces Panchita, her friend and assistant. Gunther lurks (yeah!)

Sarita is trying to sleep, but can’t (it’s 3am). Andres is getting home, as she comes downstairs for water. He feels incredible, but would have loved to have her there. And Gaby? Still not home? Andres is surprised.
May I just say how reckless this is, to have a young girl, from a rich family, walk about this crime infested town (lol), without a car or a bodyguard? They’re always wondering: “where is Gaby?” Is she trying to get kidnapped or worse to convince her dad to come back home?

Speaking of, Nino has taken her to a hill to watch over the pueblo lights. So beautiful! (Meh…) His grandpa brought him here one Christmas when he couldn’t afford a gift. Gaby would love to have met him. She feels chilly, he borrows her his jacket. Some flirting and they kiss. But when it gets hotter he stops! He doesn’t want to lose her as a friend – what? Why bring her here then, dude? Gaby wants to go back home, it’s almost dawn.

PASION #7, part 5

In the morning Gunther wonders if Rosario is exhausted after last night, but she feels amazing. Gunther calls it a triumph, she wonders where he was since she hasn’t seen him. His reassuring “I’m never too far, I’m always protecting you” is so creepy, even Rosario calls him scary, like a shadow. Yeah, one that you can’t get away from. You should be so happy with your triumph, but something is missing, is it JD, who never came? Rosario doesn’t care, she knows sooner or later he will come.

Speaking of, Juan David is looking for something in the medicine cabinet, but thinking about Rosario when they were together with the twins. Oh, yeah, Rosario is right, he will go searching for her sooner rather than later, but I’m happy it wasn’t on opening night, during that song which belonged to Rosario and Franco. If JD he has to hook up with his uncle’s ex, at least choose a different song… that’s all I’m saying.

Gabriela is readying in the paper that the bar opening was a success. She’s upset with Sarita for allowing Andres to work there, but Sarita wants to leave it alone. Gabriela is so frustrated, what happened to her to allow this, her kids have become worse than the twins. The way Gaby dresses, Andres was the quiet one, now he’s such a rebel. Oh, this reminds me how Norma, Jimena and Sarita where before the brothers showed up at the ranch.
Sarita cuts her mother short, Andres is an excellent son, she will not fight his decisions anymore.
And we finish with Andres, who has come to see Rosario and ask if she ever loved his father. Did she ever!

This is it! I tried to add my comments in the recap, but I have some more thoughts I'll add later. Hope you all enjoy this!

Hercai2: #65 - p 1 of 3
Mahmout has just finished the grave Azize has ordered him to dig. He pleads with her, saying he has done what she has asked, but please don't send him away. She asks him to remember the promise he made, and to "protect them." (I don't remember the specific promise. Does "them" refer to Miran and Reyyan? Or does it include Gonul? Firat? Esma?) At any rate, the seemingly obedient Mahmout leaves.

We get a very brief scene of a miserable Zehra muttering to herself, "It's over. If not now, then soon." Then we again see a distressed Mahmout, driving away in the car. He says he can't let this happen. He makes a phone call. "She'll come," he says.

Meanwhile, Azize looks into the grave and sees herself lying there. She thinks, "Death's icy hands are on you, Azize. You've lost the last thread of hope that held you to life. They won't forgive you." She hears the accusations of some of the people she has hurt: Miran, Reyyan, Cihan. She remembers Fusun telling her that the coming pain will be much worse than it is now. She also remembers a very young Miran asking her to tell him again the story of the old eagle who had to choose between death or being reborn. She recalls him telling her, "It needs to live. It can't die."

Suddenly, we hear Reyyan's voice. She is standing next to Azize at the newly dug grave. Apparently she is the person Mahmout called. Reyyan is trying to dissuade Azize from killing herself. She asks, "Will you die before you reunite with your son? Before you make peace with your grandson?" Azize tells her it's too late. Reyyan persists. "There are things you can do for my father, for Miran, for Gonul, for Sra. Dilsah." Azize protests, "I can't live. I don't deserve it." Reyyan replies, "Not for you. For us. You will be condemned, but you can't give up. Have you no motherly feelings? You turned Ayse into Azize because your son died. But your son is alive." She urges Azize to choose to be Ayse. When Azize protests that Ayse is dead, Reyyan replies, "Then find a way to resurrect her. But do it not for venganza, but to return what you took from us." Azize claims that there are things that can't be returned. The indomitable Reyyan tells her, "Then give them a future. If you kill my father's mother, and the abuela of Miran, then you won't be forgiven, Azize." Reyyan leaves, and Azize says to herself, "Listen to her. She's telling you to be like the eagle, not the eagle who died, but the one who was reborn."

We next see a happy Mahmout. Azize has returned.

The scene shifts. We see Miran still sitting outside the door where Sukran and Dilsah are. Suddenly the door opens. Sukran comes out. She explains to Miran that Dilsah has been through a horrendous experience (the fact that she has to remind him of this speaks volumes about his egocentrism). Gently but firmly she asks him to give Dilsah more time, to be patient. So what does Me-ran do? He goes in to see Dilsah. She is asleep. He kneels by her bed. He puts down the things he has been given that Dilsah made for him as an infant. Suddenly Dilsah says in her sleep, "Give me my son, my little one." Miran asks her to take him into her dream. Perhaps then she'll remember him. She wakes up, startled to see him. "Where is my mother?" she asks. She also mentions Hazar. She then sees the things Miran has brought, and the photo of him as a young boy. She tells him that Azize showed her his tomb and then dragged her away. Azize also gave her a child's bloody shirt and said it was her son's. She then says to Miran, "You call me mother, but I am not your mother. Azize lied to you, too. Please don't bother my son, wherever he is." Crying, Miran kisses her hand. She calmly asks to be left alone.

herc
Hercai2: #65 - p 2 of 3
A distraught Miran emerges from the room. "She won't even let me look at her," he moans. Reyyan remembers what she said to Azize, that instead of revenge, Azize should do what she can to help those she hurt. Reyyan says that Miran can help his mother by talking to Azize. "If you talk to her, she'll give you your mother. It could be a way to get your mother back."

Meanwhile, Gonul is looking for her abuela. She remembers Azize telling her to go to Kars, where her mother is. She takes out her phone. She thinks about Azat. At the same time, Azat is thinking, "Get these foolish thoughts out of your head, Azat." Gonul calls him and tells him she needs to talk to him. They meet. Gonul talks about going to be with her mother in Kars, and starting a new life. She admits that she's not sure what she wants. Dumb Azat replies, "I can't tell you to go...but I can't tell you to stay." A disappointed Gonul says she has to leave and says she'll take a taxi. Finally, Azat says, "Gonul...Don't go!" She protests, "I'm an adult. I can find a taxi." He replies, "I'm not talking about a taxi." "Stay here," he says. "Why? Do I have a reason to stay?" she asks. (OK, I think, now we're getting somewhere.) Arrgh. Azat explains, "Your family. Your mother will be back. Your abuela. Firat. Esma. [long pause] And I...." She doesn't seem convinced. "What other reason do you need?" Azat asks. "I don't know," she replies, "Perhaps you can give me one." "I can't," replies Azat. Just as I'm about to groan again, Azat adds: "But don't go. Stay."

The scene shifts to Hazar, who asks repeatedly, "How did we end up here?" Nasuh tells him, "It's my fault, son. There's something you need to know." [where have we heard this before?] Nasuh continues, "It's about Ayse and me." "Who is Ayse?" asks Hazar. We then see Azize/Ayse walking through Midyat, saying, "I'm alive. Now is not the time to die. I't time to be reborn and to protect my lovd ones." As she walks through the town, looking at people as she passes by, they turn away or look at her with contempt. The scene then shifts back to Hazar and Nasuh. Hazar asks his father, "What else have you been hiding, Papa? Is it about Dilsah?" Nasuh tells him no, it's not about Dilsah, "It's about Ayse and me." We don't hear all the details that Nasuh gives Hazar. Hazar is livid. "All for a lie? My children have been through hell because of my grandmother?" Nasuh responds, "I didn't know. I just found out. I believed my mother." Clearly, Nasuh is referring to the lie his mother told him that Ayse and her son died in the fire. Hazar continues, "I've wracked my brain trying to figure out why this woman had such a problem with us." Nasuh again apologizes. "Son, I'm really sorry. I believed my mother." Hazar replies, "I should never have let Dilsah go. I should have come when the letters stopped." Nasuh tells Hazar that Ayse is not a bad person. Hazar isn't willing to accept that. "Then let Ayse fix all the lives that Azize destroyed."

Azize arrives at the Aslanbey konak. She walks up to Fusun and says, "So where were we, Fusun?" Fusun tells her that her name is dead and buried. "The town saw you humiliate yourself." "Nonetheless, here I am," announces Azize. She continues, "I returned because of your premature victory in the plaza. I was reborn from the ashes. But for a much more noble reason, a reason that can change everything." Fusun replies, "But who are you to think you can do anything to anyone?"

herc
Hercai2: #65 - p 3 of 3
Fusun's attitude toward Azize apparently angers Firat. "Stop this, Fusun," he demands. "You cannot speak to Azize Aslanbey that way." Firat then asks Azize whether he can ask her a question. He wants to know what power she was talking about. "Do you have a new venganza plot because your sins were exposed? Will no one ask this woman about the atrocities she has committed?" No one replies, so Firat continues. "How could you rob a woman of her child at the same time you save another woman and her child?" [I assume the first woman is Dilsah, and the second is Reyyan.] At this point, Esma speaks up. "There are things you don't know, Firat." Firat asks, "What don't I know?" Azize tells Esma to tell Firat the truth.

The scene now moves to the hotel, where a newly showered Yaren and Harun have finally Done The Deed and are looking very happy. But with this pair, looks can be and usually are deceiving. Yaren calls her mother and tells her that they've Done It and so now are really husband and wife. Harun hears Yaren's end of the conversation and is pleased that she's even excitedly telling her mother. But then she continues. Yes, she has taken her mother's advice, "and if I don't get pregnant the first time, I will then second. And then I'll have Harun in the palm of my hand. We can kick Fusun and Gonul out of the mansion and then I'll be the mistress of the Aslanbey mansion. They'll both see that nobody messes with me." Oops. She turns around and sees Harun just a few feet away, staring at her. She realizes that he has heard the entire discussion.

Fusun says to Azize, "You're never going to give up, are you?" Azize tells her she's right. Fusun asks, "So you're asking me to persuade you?" Azize tells her that she's not afraid of her. Fusun threatens to tell the Sadoglus that Hazar is Azize's son. Azize first asks, "What are you talking about, Fusun?" Fusun asks, "Do you think I'm stupid?" [No, Fusun, just unredeemably evil] "You thought you could hide that from me?" Fusun gloats. "You are Ayse, who Nasuh thought was dead. You thought your son was dead, just like he thinks you're dead. But your son is alive: Hazar."

Harun and Yaren are in the car. Harun is driving her back to the Sadoglu konak. He is berating himself for being such an idiot, for trusting her. He tells her that as soon as he drops her off, he'll talk to his lawyer and do whatever he needs to to start divorce proceedings. Yaren is desperate. "I'm not going back to that mansion where Reyyan is." Harun simply keeps driving. Suddenly, Yaren opens the car door as the car is speeding along and threatens to jump out. Harun brings the car to a stop and tells her now she can get out. She does get out and he goes after her. He catches up to her. She pleads with him not to take her to the Sadoglus. When he doesn't listen, she moves closer to him and grabs the gun that any self-respecting man always carries with him. She points it at her head. At first, he tries to get her to put the gun down. Finally he says, "OK, go ahead and shoot" as the episode ends.

Adriana, thank you! I haven't had a chance to watch yet and won't be able to until after work but I couldn't resist reading your recap with my coffee anyway! I just couldn't wait to get your take on all the madness! Lol

Nice, family confrontation instead of a simple conversation! Hehe sounds like the appropriate amount of senseless drama! And in Gabriela land the twins are innocent angels and Andres is a rebel??? Lol wonder what the sky looks like in her world!

I just bet the blackmailer is terrified of Erik! Lol what an arrogant jackass!

And Norma tried to encourage poor JD to walk right into the Lion's den, huh? I am surprised he didn't...but I agree with you, glad it wasn't opening night. Looking forward to seeing Rosario's first performance. It will be interesting to see 20+ years later. I bet you are right and it was surreal for the actress. I hope she gets new songs to sing this time around.

Novelera, I totally agree with you about Michel. He's a very compelling actor and was the best part of the first season in my opinion. Looking forward to his arrival!!

Thanks again Adriana! I will be back after I have actually watched!

Thank you Adriana! Enjoyed your recap immensely! Okay, so I’m not a Rosario fan at all, and I’ll term this episode “Delusion” on a few of the characters part starting with Rosario. So she has the nerve to say to Panchita that her destiny is somehow linked to the Reyes’ by her encounters with them!?!? Well, duhh, you came back to San Marcos, where they are, and you sought out JD cause you felt that instant something something after seeing him for the very first time. Yeah, the meeting with Andres was by chance, but you didn’t have to invite him to your club and offer him a job Ms Moneybags, and you probably would not have if he weren’t Sarita and Franco’s son. Stop romanticizing your “connection” with the Reyes’ boys, and just acknowledge your part in it. And though I know that you and JD will eventually hook up, I’m fighting it all the way, lol! I did enjoy the show though, but hope, too, that there’s more songs on the horizon besides “Quien es Hombre.” I also like Panchita. I think she’s real and loyal. And I’m SUPER happy that JD didn’t go to the opening!

Next on my “Delusional” list is Gabriela. Her attack on Andres was so off the wall , especially with the twins from hell already being accused of murder and creating mayhem everywhere they go! I’m sure Norma has kept a lot from her mother over the years regarding those two, just so she’d keep her opinionated self out of their business. I loved that Juan told her that she was overreacting, and honestly, I think all the Elizondo women are overreacting. What exactly do they think that Rosario is going to do? Plus, people can and do change, especially after 20 yrs.

Oscar also is “delusional,” not only in thinking that he can keep a whole kid a secret and that Jimena won’t find out, but also in thinking that he has this “special” bond with the TFH (twins from hell). He should be loyal to his brother and they can figure out this thing together. The twins don’t want Oscar nosing around either. And yes, ITA with you about the blackmailer being afraid of Erik, and that’s the only good thing about Erik! Lol

Last, Gunter! Delusional to the MAX! And I think it’s only going to get worse! He has a serious hard on for Rosario and the more she rejects him, his “darkness” is going to manifest itself. He’s always lurking in the darkness like the Phantom of the Opera! Weirdo!

Thank you so much again Adriana! Your recap gave me much “Food for thought,” and I appreciate it!

Pasion

Forgot to mention Norma’s rejection of Juan. OUCH! And why is Juan so passive now too? He didn’t even try to pursue it any further……just rolled over. Something else is going on with them…….hmmmmmm?????

PASION

About Juan being passive... If I remember correctly, back in the day Juan was a bit of a hothead. Maybe old age changed him? Maybe Norma's influence or his new position in society makes it harder for him to burst into a passionate rant every time something doesn't go his way? The one thing I have to wonder about is how he allowed for those darned twins to get so far in their misbehaving ways. Franco feeling entitled to butt in might be about him not being able to have his own child with Jimena (that flower child doesn't count, as I'm sure the boy's not his) and he has always been a bit reckless.

I also noticed that Juan calls Gabriela "suegra", which is more familiar than Dona Gabriela, which is what Oscar calls her. I wonder if Franco calls her Senora Elizondo, wouldn't surprise me. From the way Juan talks to her, I feel like most of the time he tolerates her because of Norma, but there is no love lost there.

I do understand where Sarita is coming from when it comes to Rosario. I wouldn't want my son being close to my husband's ex, either.
I believe Rosario was getting bored home and is trying to recapture her past, her youth and all that. And I also believe she will fail miserably.

Herc

Thank you Juanita for your candid and observant recap! You picked up on some things that I missed like Miran’s conversation with Sukran—— yes he is so EGOCENTRIC!—— and I also missed Mahmut calling Reyyan. For most of the episode I thought that Azize had dreamed her conversation with Reyyan until Reyyan thought back to it too. That whole sequence was a little dreamy with Azize talking to her dead self, plus we KNOW that if Miran wasn't in his present infantile phase, Reyyan wouldn’t have been able to leave his sight for a second! Especially at night! I’m sure we all knew that Azize wasn’t going to die. Ayse has risen from the ashes that Azize burned down with her blind revenge. And I guess we all return to who we were meant to be when we have either our “light bulb” moment, or when the truth hits you in the face with a knockout punch. And did you see the utter joy on her murderous lapdog’s face! He would’ve licked her like man’s best friend if he could’ve!

Miran continues to ANNOY! It’s all about what’s been taken from him! He is REALLY craving for Dilsah to pat his head like Azize used to do! He needs validation at all costs, and won’t be a complete man until he gets it. Azize really effed him up, and everybody has to suffer his whining and crying because of it! Hazar needs to pull him up by his “avocados” and smack some “manhood” into him! Tell him to buck up and give his mother time to see reality——in her own time, not his. He really is nauseating!

Then we get Nasuh and Hazar. Nasuh was trying to tell Hazar the whole truth, but Hazar was all in his feeling’s and wouldn’t listen. Like these people are always demanding and crying for the whole truth and then they ramble on and on and on and end up walking away! Nasuh should’ve told him too to shut the hell up and listen! Now it will probably be Fusun who enlightens Hazar! We know she can’t wait to cause more devilment for everyone involved!

Ain’t it a shame that even good sex can’t stop Yaren from plotting and scheming! I felt bad for Harun cause I bet all that pent up evilness in Yaren made her a MONSTER in bed! He probably dreamed of many more nights of hot, evil sex and then she bursted his bubble! Stoopid girl! She couldn’t even save her plotting for one day! I’m getting a bad feeling about the gun though. Someone always gets hurt or dies when there’s a gun struggle, and my guess is that it won’t be Yaren……

Yes, Juanita, Azat was “Dumb,” but so, so cute! He hasn’t yet grasped his feelings for Gonul, so he’s at a loss. That sheepish look on his face was priceless though! There will be problems for them though because of their family ties, but both of them have proved strong enough to overcome them. I like them together even though what happened with Elif was hard to watch. I suspect that the “Elif” situation may come between them as well……we’ll see….

Thanks again Juanita! Enjoyed this one!

Pasion

Good points Adriana, and I agree that there is a “tolerable” kind of relationship between Juan and Gabriela. And yes, getting older has definitely mellowed Juan if those twins are any indication. Norma used to be so hot for Juan too, and I know that having children and responsibilities changes things, but she just brushed him off like lint on a sweater. There does appear to be strong affection, mutual respect and love between them though.

I also agree about Sarita’s feelings, but I’m also a true believer that people must learn about people on their own and in their own way. Andres is a good person. If Rosario is up to no good, or is indeed good, he will learn that lesson on his own. Only then will it make a true impact, and even maybe change Sarita’s opinion of her.. And yes, Sarita did look dumb sitting in the middle of that bed! Lol!

Thanks so much, Juanita, for this terrific recap! You described the scenes perfectly.

I also missed that Mahmoud was going to call "her" and the sudden appearance of Reyyan kind of shocked me. I knew it was too soon for Azize/Ayse to die but wasn't sure what would stop her.

Carmella, you beat me to the punch saying that the reason Reyyan got to that desolate spot to stop Azize/Ayse was that Miran was moaning at the door to Reyyan's former bedroom. We are all so sick of Miran. He goes in against Sukran's wishes. The poor woman is sleeping, probably still recovering from the "sedation" we heard about earlier. And he starts talking to her! Of course this is one of my pet peeves anyway. Over and over again I think more in dizis that telenovelas someone talks out loud to a sleeping person and the person sleeps on. What?

Every scene with Fusun is such a disappointment. When we thought Azize needed to be stopped, many here were predicting "the lady" would be Fusun. But we likely (at least that's what I thought) hoped she'd be some sort of savior who would fix everything. Ha!

The plot seems to have stalled a bit. The only secret left is Hazar being Ayse's son. And then there's the crispy critter who SURELY will re-appear. He's kind of like the gun in a Chekhof play. If it's (he's) shown in Act 1, it must be fired by the end of the play.

Pasion

Okay after actually seeing it, I loved the beginning of the big family meeting with Gabriela going on and on about how the family came together to support Andres in making better decisions, etc etc; making it sound like they were all in agreement. Then Juan is just like 'You called me here and I am here but I have no idea why.' and Oscar is like 'I just came to accompany Jimena, but I don't know why we are here' and JD is like, 'Yeah, why are we here?' It was hilarious!!! And the twins were absolutely loving it, they were so amused. It was like the cast was giving an nod to that fact that this big family meeting is ridiculous.

But I didn't understand why everyone was so upset with Oscar for telling about Franco and Rosario - Jimena, Norma, even Juan protested him telling them the truth. Isn't that the point? I mean that's the real reason no one wants her around, right? Why not cut to the chase? They reacted as if he lined up a group of grade school kids and told them intimate details of the affair, instead of making a simple statement to a room full of adults.

It was really sweet the way Andres was with Sara - so patient and supportive - after she basically railroaded him with that intervention. Impressive and so unlike his cousins with their victim complexes, he didn't protest at all and he had reason to.

The professor sounds like a real creep. It makes me wonder about Felix, why is he so determined to get 'justice' for a monster? Where is Adela? The cops know the Prof was keeping her locking up and they are keeping it hush hush??? I am actually started to get curious about this mystery. These people all seem shady, shady, shady.

Adriana, more than suegra, I might have heard wrong but I think he actually called her 'suegrita' there's definitely an undercurrent there...I hope they do more with it I'd like to see those two go more rounds with each other - verbally of course, only talking about the verbal sparring and picking at each other.

I am also starting to get curious about this Nino guy. He is such a puzzle. He's clearly mixed up in the criminal element but he seems tormented by it. He defends Sara and even warns Gaby to warn her, yet he's engaged in it himself. He doesn't want to get Gaby mixed up in his dangerous life, but he doesn't stay away from her. He's clearly attracted to her but he won't act on it because he knows (or seems to know) he's no good for her. He isn't a good guy, but he isn't a bad guy. And at the same time, how bad of a guy is it? How involved was he in the thefts? Did he kill the guy at the school? He was just standing right there by the car....

MANY thanks, carmella, Halimacandy, and novelera, for your great comments.

Carmella, at first I too thought that Azize was imagining Reyyan's being there. But then I remembered Mahmoud's call and his saying/hoping "She'll come." That coupled with what Reyyan was saying made me pretty sure that she's the "she" that Mahmoud called. And yes, I too wish Nasuh had told Hazar to just shut up and listen. Instead, Hazar just dives back into his own obsessive guilt at not going back to find Dilsah after her letters stopped coming. Oh well, he and his father can bond over their guilt at not going back for the women they love. And, as you say, it quite likely will be Fusun who will gloatingly break the news of his parentage to Hazar. And I loved, loved, loved the scene between Gonul and Azat. They keep trying to get the other person to Say It. I think neither of them believes the other person shares their feelings. Gonul gives Azat a couple of promising opportunities, but she doesn't have the confidence to do more. And no one does "sheepish" better than Azat. I almost let out a cheer when he finally brought himself to say, "Don't go. Stay."

Halimacandy, I hope you're right that things are close to wrapping up. It certainly feels that way, but I thought it felt that way several weeks ago as well. Silly me. And I certainly understand your anger at Mahmoud. I'm reluctant to admit it, but in spite of his robot-like obedience to all Azize's murderous commands, I find I have a soft spot for him. I think it helps that he's good-looking, but even more it's his childlike devotion to Azize, I'd even say love, that wins me over.
As for Fusun, she's useful as a foil that I guess helps us accept (by contrast) Azize's repentence.

Novelera you are so right--we are all sick of Miran. I'm trying to think of another galan whom I disliked as much, but offhand I can't. I wonder whether Turkish audiences shared our dislike, and whether the writers intended that kind of negative response. And yes, every scene with Fusun is a disappointment as well. I think part of the problem is that she seems too one-dimensional. Whether that's the fault of the actor or the writers isn't clear. Perhaps a bit of both. As for the secret of Hazar's parentage, so many people now seem to know about it that it's astonishing he's still in the dark. I love your referring to Aslan as the "crispy critter," but frankly I hope the writers haven't heard of Chekhov and aren't planning for the crispy critter to make another appearance. We've already had more than our share of people returning from the dead. ¡Ya basta!

Thank you VVS and Juanita! Both excellent recaps. So many excellent comments, too. Everyone had me lol’ing. I can’t add much to the convo today. I'm working late again.

Meeeee-ran: “Miran and his Angry Bangs walks away, leaving Reyyan to follow him. (This dude is selfish)” –you are so right, VVS. And I will add—this dude is pathetic. Good grief, crying at the door with the baby clothes and pestering his mother.

”liver punch to Fusun” How about another?

I could have mustered up some sympathy for Zehra if she wasn’t so stupid.

Lol carmella: “He probably dreamed of many more nights of hot, evil sex and then she bursted his bubble!” Glad Harun is calling Yaren’s bluff, but I agree, he will likely pay the price. Wanna bet Yaren finds out she’s pregnant?

Juanita, I also have a soft spot for Mahmut for the same reasons you mention. And I cannot think of another galan I disliked this much either. This dizi is worldwide popular and ReyMir has a lot of fans. I can’t figure it out.

We are near the end of Turkish ep 55 out of 69. Maybe there are a few surprises left. But I hope Aslan and Sultana are gone for good. That played itself out.

herc

Thanks very much, dondi356, for your interesting comments. At one point, I certainly had some sympathy for Zehra, but like you, I've been turned off by the way she has behaved recently, especially toward Dilsah.

I'm interested and surprised to hear that Hercai enjoys worldwide popularity. Oh well...

Your episode count indicates that we're almost 80% done. It feels more like 90+%. Hard to figure what's left. Like you, I hope we've seen the last of the crispy critter. I suspect we haven't seen the last of Mahmouz, but what else may await us, other than Hazar's being Azize's son? Your suggestion that Yaren will become pregnant is an interesting possibility. It may even (temporarily) alter Harun's divorce plans. My guess/hope is that if she does become pregnant, she'll have a miscarriage and thus no elevated status as the mother of an Aslanbey. (My crystal ball is starting to crack, so I'd better stop now.)

Season 2, Epi 66
Part I

What a start…Yaren grabs Harun’s gun…threatens to kill herself to stop him from throwing her back into the hands of her family. He’s not moved…calls her bluff and taunts her to do it. He has a good laugh at her as he eases over to grab the gun from her. They tussle…the guns goes off stunning them both….who was shot….or not shot this time.

Meanwhile… Fusun and Azize continue their battle of wits and who’s got what on who. Apparently calling bluff is the theme of this epi because Azize tells Fusun to go ahead…reveal the big secret that Hazar is Azie's love spawn….so what. Apparently both their weaknesses are their beloved sons so we get a standoff for now. Gonul returns and runs to Azize …happy to see her. Her fawning over Azize is too much for Fusun …she preps to leave just as Miran marches in….Reyan on his heels.

Miran makes a beeline to Azize….lashes out about her handy work destroying lives and gloating over the results. Because of her, his own mother doesn’t recognize him. Before he can explode Reyan steps in and tells her she needs to meet with Dislah and undo at least one of her lies if she’s really repentant...Azize eagerly agrees. Gonul wants to go with her but Azize tells her to stay out of this one. Fusun gloats…and leaves.

Firat tells Esma that Hazar has a right to know about Ayse but Esma stops him. She agrees with him but it’s not his place to do it. Besides Azize has a plan for revealing herself.

Cihan spends quality time with baby Huma but Handan tries to get him to return to mansion…Nasuf needs him. He’s not ready…still bitter. She understands how he feels but their talk is interrupted by Yaren calling to say she killed Harun and needs help. He updates Handan and runs off to Yaren. Wait till Fusun finds out.

Speaking of her, she’s trying to reach Harun when one of her men comes with an update. They can’t find Yaren. She’s irritated ….gives him instruction to find them both and to make sure her son is protected at all times given Azize’s threats.

At the Sad sack…Hazar paces the court yard when ReyMir return with an apprehensive Azize. Hazar is pissed that Azize is in tow and wants to throw her out until they explain their plan. He doesn’t like it…but they convince him that Azize is the only one Dislah’s listened to for years..and now she is the only one that can undo this lie. They go to prep Dislah…she doesn’t want to follow Miran. He convinces her that if she wants to know the truth she needs to speak with Azize. Zehra looks on as Hazar coaxes Dislah …promising to be at her side. She reluctantly agrees.

Azize watches hopefully as Hazar escorts Dislah to face her. “Speak and confess all your sins” Miran demands. Azize starts…admitting that she lied about Miran’s death…the tomb…all of it.

Season 2, Epi 66
Part 2

We flashback to Azize gloating as Dislah falls to ground at the fake tomb….crying over her dead child. Azize admits she told a big lie and separated mother and son and raised him as an orphan. Dislah rants … Azize cries…she’s sorry. She lost a child too…just like Dislah. He died in a fire and her heart and sold died with him and birthed her hate toward the Sadoglus. She wanted to destroy them but she’s so sorry now.

Everyone looks on as Azize continues …with eyes on Hazar “my son…my treasure….if only I can hear you call me mother”. Some appear to be affected. She tells Dislah it’s not too late for her because her son is indeed still alive. On queue….Miran goes to his “mama” who looks into his eyes…they remind him of her dead child’s eyes…she whimpers. But she goes back into her rant…they are all lying…planning something else because her son is dead. Impatiently, MEran grabs her elbow and forces her to visit the empty tomb with him…leaving Reyan behind. None of them see Fusun looking on as Reyan sends Miran off with encouraging words, hopeful he will return home with his mother. This statement sinks Zehra’s spirits…she slinks back inside.

Hazar is livid when he hears Nasuf thank Ayse for reuniting Miran and Dislah. It was her who robbed them all in the first place....should she be applauded now he mocks. When Reyan tries to calm him, it riles him even more…what is wrong with them…have they forgotten everything Azize has done. “Hijo…don’t argue with your family because of me” says Azize. This infuriates him even more…
“don’t mettle and don’t dare call me hijo” he snaps. She apologies looking back and forth between Nasuf and Reyan. Hazar lets her know he will never…ever forgiver her.

Cihan and Handan have made it to Yaren who’s shaken up “I’m a killer…I did it” papa. Whew wee…wait till Fusun finds out. Hysterically she recants what lead up to the event. Handan just wants to know if anyone saw them…she doesn’t know…but she does know that Fusun is going to kill her when she finds out. Yep…can’t wait. Cihan has her back…he will protect her. He cleans the gun…puts it Harun’ hand and fires it. It spooks the women. He says the culprit is Fusun’s enemy…and who is that…Azize. They take off…under God’s protection prays Handan.

MEran coaxes a reluctant Dislah to the tomb, not knowing that Fusun is on site observing them from a distance. Dislah thinks back to when Azize took her there under false pretenses all those years ago. He continues his effort to prove to her that he is her son…recounting all the times he was at that site visiting her false grave as well. It was all a lie orchestrated by Azize. “you believe me now….right”. No…no …no. It’s too late. She doesn’t believe him. Her son died in that accident. What can she do after all these years. Miran is beside himself.

Looking on…Fusun gets the call from Cihan about Harun….they shot him. What. “He’s dead…I’m sorry for your loss” he lies. Fusun drops the phone thinking back to Azize’s threats. She takes a gun from her guy…aims at Miran…who’s call out for his mama. He begs her to let him be her son…even if she doesn’t believe the real Miran is alive. Dislah contemplates this as we hear the gun go off. Dislah is shocked…Miran cries mama. We not get a dream state. There's a vision of ReyMir at their swing. Reyan is citing all the happy things to come to them .....their family...their future...their love....smooches.

Reyan wants to swing…he pushes her…faster she says. It’s very windy but she’s blissful. The wind whips harder and suddenly she's nervous...something is wrong….she’s scared now she says. She’s swinging out over the cliff alone…calling for Miran…looking for him but he’s not there. “Help me she cries”. A hand reaches out and steadies her.

Reyan is now in her bed sleeping. It’s very windy...she closes the window and answer the phone….it’s Azize.

We’re back at the grave site…Reyan has arrived just as the gun shot goes off. ..she cries out for Miran and runs towards him. Miran is on his feet...holding his mother to calm her…nothing happened….but he wants to know what Reyan is doing there. She came because she was worried. The gun shot was really close….Dislah thinks it was Azize….trying to killer her…she’s sure of it. ReyMir try to calm her. Meanwhile, Fusun has made it to the car…watching them leave as she learns that Harun is in fact dead.

We get a flashback…the gunshot actually came from Mahfuz. Apparently he was on site too and shot Fusun, wounding her before she could fire her gun. He then reminded her that Reyan is his daughter…and he told her before not to mess with her or her family. If anything happens to ReyMir…Fusun will suffer the consequences. He tells her to take her man and leave before Miran sees them. Back in the present…she vows that nothing will stop her if she finds out that Azize was behind Harun’s death.

ReyMir drive Dislah home. She’s panicking….Azize is after her and will never leave her in peace. Disla is mental…constantly repeating that her son is dead. Wow...will she ever snap out of it and exit the trauma that Azize caused.

Meanwhile, Fusun has made it to see her son lying dead...shot in the chest. Her fury will surely be unleashed.

Thanks VERY much, Nett, for this excellent recap, complete with some enjoyable snark.

Like you, I am wondering when/whether Dilsah will ever snap out of her conviction that her son is dead. I don't mean to sound insensitive, but it's beginning to seem rather tiresome. What I really don't understand is why Dilsah doesn't recognize Miran's scent. In several dizis, we've seen how important scent is in Turkish culture, and even in this dizi, we've seen characters recognize others by their scent. Dilsah talked about looking forward to experiencing her mother's scent right before they are reunited. So, since Dilsah took care of Miran for several years before Azize separated them, wouldn't she recognize his scent now, just as she does her mother's?

Oh well...on to other matters. I was unhappy that Harun was killed. I enjoyed him, both when he was (pretending to be?) a sociopath and later, when he was working with Aslan to defeat Azize, and also yesterday, with the wonderfully varied looks on his face after he and Yaren had sex and then as he realized that she was using him in order to become the person in charge at the Aslanbey mansion. He was an interesting, multi-faceted character. I'll miss him.

I found the scene at the cemetary rather confusing. I wonder whether it was clearer in the more complete Turkish version. In the Telemundo version (which is the only one I saw), Mafouz appears only in a flashback. Nett, I'm glad you pointed out that he shot Fusun to prevent her from shooting Miran. I wasn't at all sure that he had shot her. And why was the guy she was with (body guard? driver?) on the ground looking as if he had been attacked?

I also found myself very impatient with the swing scene. What was the point of including it? (I'm not asking why you included it but rather why the writers put it again in the dizi at this point.)

Well, it sure looks as if Azize's repentence isn't about the put an end to the scheming and nastiness ReyMir have to confront. I'm glad Mahfouz is back.

Herc

Thank you Nett for another amazing and fun recap! I always enjoy some snark and boy do we need it in this one! Lol!

I am so sick, sick, sick of Miran who always has to give a long diatribe about himself (SURPRISE) before getting to the point! Yeah! we all know what Azize has done to you and everybody! But right now, it’s not about you, you, you or anyone else but Dilsah! ( who’s also getting on my last nerve by the way!). Like you, Juanita, I don’t want to be insensitive, but get a grip will ya! That you won’t even entertain the fact that your son just might be alive is starting to make me believe that on some level, you don’t want him to be? Get a freakin blood test or pull out his darn hair or something and get a blood test! I’m sorry, but Dilsah, Miran and Hazar! I really want to knock the “la connerie” ——-French for you know what——-out of all of them!

So, the honeymoon’s over——like REALLY over——-but we all knew that it probably wouldn’t bode well for Harun. I will miss Harun too, and honestly, I would’ve liked to have seen a redemptive story for Yaren with Harun. I think that in spite of her, he loved her and would’ve forgiven her if she truly put in some effort——-OOP’S, forgot we’re talking about Yaren here, but one can dream, lol. And when I thought that Cihan couldn’t get any worse, he gave new meaning to the words “pond scum!” He gets the “ Dad of the year award”——NOT! Yaren is already accountable for nothing that she does or has done, and both him and Handan have sealed her fate. She will become more deranged, demented and disturbed, and it will be all their fault for not holding her accountable for killing Harun. It was an accident anyway! And do young women like her really care about being “Queen of the Castle?!?!” I guess so………

I’m also glad that Mahfouz is back with guns loaded and his trigger finger itching! Knocked some of the gas right outta Fusun, lol! But tell me this? How’d she know that Miran and Dilsah were at the gravesite? Did I miss something? And that telenovela transporter was also on the job! She got there lickety split! It also tells you what kind of mother she is! She went to shoot someone, without any proof mind you, instead of going to her son first! I tell you, the thirst for revenge among these people is the strongest aphrodisiac they got going in this dizi! My son, dead or otherwise, comes FIRST!

The swing scene was definitely out of sequence. There have been a few scenes where I was like, where’d that come from?? And if there was any doubt in my mind before, Nasuh loves his Ayse and he ain’t gonna let her go——-Hazar be damned!

Thanks again Nett! How can something be so enjoyable and so freakin annoying at the same time?! Doesn't surprise me that this dizi was a big hit——-people are so fickle when it comes to these things! Lol……

Pasion #8, Part 1/2

Andres asks Rosario if she ever loved his father. Rosario confirms that yes, she was crazy about him, but he was too young and innocent, eventually he did the right thing marrying someone like Sarita, who was much more suited to him.
As he leaves, Andres is questioned by Gunther (who has been listening to the conversation). Andres wonders what’s his deal, Gunther says he’s only protecting Rosario and he has realized that Andres is nothing to be concerned about.

Sarita and Gabriela talk about Sarita rebuilding her life with a new man. Sarita is not interested, but Gabriela even has someone in mind, some guy who always asks about her and is worried for her wellbeing.

Oscar has bought a bike for his son. The babymomma is not happy to see that, what she needs is a better car! She ruffles the kid enough for Oscar to threaten to call social services on her if she ever harms the boy again. The madrina shows up as Oscar’s leaving and she warns the younger woman that she should be careful not to harm the boy in Oscar’s presence. He could cause problems if he uses the paternity test that proved he’s the father against them.

Sarita and Norma are riding and they start wondering how much land to they have, anyway? Odd conversation to be had, but this is just a plot point, because apparently they are only now noticing a house just outside their property borders. Sarita would like to go check it out, but Norma asks for a raincheck, as she has to get back home.

Nino gets into a fight at school, which freaks Gaby a lot, since she’s never seen him so violent. He says he’d do anything to protect her… creeeepy! Some guy is following her around, who is this man?

Gunther observes that Rosario is not in a good mood. He’s worried about her emotional being, especially after what happened before she left her family. Rosario tries to downplay the situation, but we get a flashback of her trying to cut her wrists. Gunther is there to save her, but so is her daughter to witness what her mother wanted to do. Back in the present, Gunther says his only concern is to protect her, and if what she needs to be happy is Juan David, then he will bring her Juan David.

Pasion #8, Part 2/2

And sure enough, the next day Gunther shows up at the Reyes ranch to talk to JD. He asks him to come visit Rosario, since she invited him and the twins are there, too, to enjoy the whole interaction. JD seems unimpressed, doesn’t plan on honoring an invitation that was made in a public place and has no meaning to him.
After Gunther leaves, the three brothers agree that the guy is a creep. Juan shows up to see the car drive away. The twins say it was someone working for Rosario… wanting to reassure them that there are no hard feelings after the problems they had days before. Apparently this impresses Juan, who thinks the twins have behaved so well the last few days, they deserve a gift: they can go out tonight.
The twins are very happy, they convince JD to go to the bar, take advantage of Gunther’s invitation.

Juan tells Norma about a talk he had with the private detective he and Oscar hired to investigate the dead teacher. Apparently he was awful, treated his kids badly, abused them repeatedly, especially Adela, who spent most of her days locked up. Norma is disgusted to hear this, wonders why would Felix still protect his father after all of this.

Pushed by the madrina, Duval goes to visit his father on his bike very late in the night. A guard finds him on the property and threatens to take him to the police. Oscar shows up and asks the guard to leave. Duval explains he only came to thank his dad for the bike. Oscar seems touched, but at the same time he doesn’t know how to get rid of the boy faster. He finally gets him to leave, and not a moment too soon, because Jimena has come outside, too. She wants to know who the boy was, Oscar says it’s the neighbor’s child, who is looking for his dog. Jimena seems to buy this for now, although she does notice that Oscar is very nervous.

The Reyes brothers have arrived at the Bar. The twins want to hook up with some girls, but JD s not interested. Panchita informs Rosario that the brothers have arrived and Rosario shows up on stage.
She does her whole dancing routine while locking eyes with JD, just like she used to do 20 years ago with his uncle. She is nothing if not consistent.
After the performance JD congratulates Andres and then asks Rosario to stay with him for a while, have a drink together. And so it begins…

PASION

These are just some highlights of last night's episode.
Juan is an idiot to allow those kids back in the street, after they have been accused of killing someone.
gaby wearing those shorter than short shorts has nothing on twice her age Rosario twerking in front of her barely legal cousin.
Oscar allowing his son to be raised in a violent environment is the worst. I get that he's afraid to lose Jimena, but how does he plan to keep her around when his other family is so close by?
Rosario was a bit crazy back in the day, too, but did she have a mental breakdown, too? can't remember the details.

Pasion

Well written recap Adriana! And your highlights pretty much covered it! I also agree with you on many of your points.

First and foremost, Oscar needs to get that boy away from that woman and her CRAZY godmother! That woman may have birthed
Duval, but she’s not a mother in any sense of the word! She saw a meal ticket, played her hand and lost! It’s eating her NASTY self up too! How could Oscar have EVAH been attracted to her in the first place! Also, WTH was he thinking letting Duval ride home all alone in the middle of the night on his bike! We know his mother doesn’t give a damn, but c’mon! You could’ve at least sent him home with one of your hired men. All kinds of things could’ve happened to the boy! DUMB! Jimena will find out, and we all know it’s just a matter of time…….

I also agree that Juan shouldn’t have let the TFH off so easily. I see that they mocked him, calling him “The King” too. I don’t like those too, and I think that Leon is the worst of the two. Erik is open with his arrogance and brashness, while Leon appears sneaky with darker layers. Which leads me to the question of why are many telenovela characters so black and white? They’re either nasty to the bone with no redeeming characteristics or so good they’re utterly naive and stupid. Only a few characters, usually the main ones, have layers.

I won’t bemoan or belabor the fact that I don’t like Rosario——-at least for the rest of this week, lol! And I do kinda feel sorry for her in a way, cause she seems so broken. It’s like a good and normal life has alluded her, and she wrecks havoc on other peoples lives in her quest to find some happiness. Gunter sounded like it’s his mission to make her happy, whatever the cost——- and the present cost is JD. I don’t like that JD is attracted to her, and I agree with the fact that she’s looking for her lost youth or a period of time when she was happiest. Still, I don’t think she has to prove herself by dancing and shaking on bar tops and tables. She’s a beautiful woman and would still be beautiful either way. JD was attracted to her before he even knew who she was or what she does. Time to grow up Rosario and leave the youngins alone! IMHO

I also hope that Sarita will explore the possibility of dating. Don't be a “one and done!” We know that Franco will turn up at some point, but live a little girl, and not just for your children!

Yes, and who is that CREEP with a thing for Gaby? There’s also something REALLY off with Nino! Gaby had better stay on guard! I hope creepy guy isn’t the same man that Gabriella wants Sarita to date!!!

Thanks again Adriana! Great recap!

Nett, thank you for that great recap of this together just keeps going around and around . I am still absolutely mesmerized at all the guns so routinely brandished on this show. Have gun; will travel . I Wonder what the count would be if we had kept score of the number of times somebody aimed a gun . Also, how many times has huffing, puffing Angrybangs confronted Azz????

So how many more times are these writers going to show a struggle for a gun ending with somebody getting shot ? We also should have kept count of how many people were burned and how many were shot. Then there is that good-looking overachiever Aslan who got shot and then burned .

Is Harun really dead or just Mjrantypt type dead ?.Yaren, for sure, is pregnant after that first time tryout.

Pasion

Cher Adriana, I wish I was watching this show just to "talk" to you . Hope you and yours are well .I am watching "My Fortuna" on Uni. Pretty good so far. I have also become hooked on the Turkish dizis. Have you watched any ? You would love Fatmagul and Kara Para Ask .

Herc

Thanks, Nett, for another great recap. Love your snarky descriptions.

Wow. Not surprised Harun was shot but I was surprised and disappointed he died. I liked Harun and I liked the actor. And I agree with carmella there could have been a redemptive story for Yaren and Harun. Now Fusun will open hunting season on Hazar.

“don’t mettle and don’t dare call me hijo”, “Hazar lets her know he will never…ever forgiver her.” IIRC, Miran said those same things to Hazar, and look at them now. Countdown to Hazar calling Azize “mother”. Could be with his dying breath. I hope, hope, hope not.

“And do young women like her really care about being “Queen of the Castle?!?!” I guess so………” We’ve seen there are not many options for young women living in Midyat.

“How’d she know that Miran and Dilsah were at the gravesite? Did I miss something?” Fusun was following them. If you blinked you missed it.

What got me was Rey’s dream, the phone call and her magical transport to the cemetery. Also, it seemed Mahfuz shot Fusun, but moments later she looked ok when she went to Harun. I didn’t see any blood. These scenes were the same in the Turkish version.

Turkish ep 55 ended with the gunshot at the cemetery and ep 56 opened on Reyyan’s dream.

Meeee-ran continues to selfishly torture his mother. She almost “recognizes” him on a couple of occasions but snaps back into denial. I’m guessing she’s just afraid to acknowledge Miran is her son because thinks Azize will really harm him this time. I agree it’s massively annoying.

I think you asked a great question, carmella. “How can something be so enjoyable and so freakin annoying at the same time?!” I can’t take the repetitiveness and I can’t take much ReyMir (mostly Mir), but I love the mysterious twists and turns that make speculation so much fun.

PASION

Carmella, thank you for bringing up the fact that Oscar left his "son" go back home in the middle of the night on a bike. There was even some mention of the road crossing a carretera - I was shocked, too, but Oscar was always a bit selfish, I guess that hasn't changed.

Susanlynn, I wish you were watching, too! I didn't find Fortuna appealing enough, but I couldn't say no to Pasion de Gavilanes, one of my all time favorites. I haven't watched a Turkish novela since Aşk-ı Memnu killed my spirits years ago. I used to love them when I was a kid watching with my mom, though.

Pasión

Adriana, your recap is spectacular as always! I can't wait to go home and watch! I actually started watching last night as I wasn't sleepy but it got pre-emp by news so I turned it off. I like that they are building the intrigue. I started off the first week not really caring about any of the side characters but I am getting more interested by the day. I saw right up to the point where Gunter arrived looking for JD but nothing after that.

Carmella, 'I hope creepy guy isn’t the same man that Gabriella wants Sarita to date!!!' I had that same thought! There's something vaguely familiar about that guy....I can't decide if it's just that I am recognizing the actor from somewhere, or if I am supposed to recognize him. He sort of looks like Armando (am I remembering the name right? Rosario's first husband) from season 1. Maybe it's a cousin or something carrying on his shady business?

I don't remember Rosario having a break down in Season 1, at least not on the level of suicide. She is a sad character, desperately unhappy and unfulfilled. And keeping company with the creepiest watchdog on the planet!!! The actor really plays this part so well! He makes my skin crawl!

Nett, that was a terrific recap! You had the snark-o-meter set on high all the way through. I especially liked your prediction that Fusun will kill Yaren when she finds out. "Yep, can't wait."

I was touched by what Esma said about the reveal of Hazar being Azize's son. She said something to the effect that she wanted to become Ayse before anyone tells him. I took that to mean that Azize means to repair as much of the harm she's done and turn back into the kind person she used to be.

I definitely have an inability to hold grudges, whether in real life or watching novelas. Once someone shows they're on the way to redemption, I'm all in. It has a lot to do with the splendid actor's performance, but I'm rooting for Ayse to be re-united with her family at that dinner that Reyyan fantasized about. I was SO mad at Nasuh when he was SO cruel to Reyyan at the beginning. Now I've totally forgiven him as well, especially since I found out he didn't kill Mehmet or Dilsah. His facial expressions as he looks at Ayse are so very touching.

You can certainly see the familial relationship between Hazar and Miran. They both go into rants and refuse to hear information that might change everything. Hazar almost messed up Azize's going to try to convince Dilsah Miran was her son. And...Miran...I think we're all with that itchy finger on the >>>FF button.

I also saw Fusun in that car, spying. The woman is everywhere. Whatever scene with the Sadoglu, she's right there listening to everything. It's just weird.

Again, Azat is either adopted or Handan had a fling with a nice guard at the Sad konak. Cihan becomes more despicable every episode. He wants Fusun to kill Azize because of Harun's death. And his sociopath daughter gets off scot free. Also what the hell was Yaren raving about having to go back living with Reyyan. ReyMir are NOT living at the Sad konak.

Again, loved your recap, Nett!

After watching, I wondered if the house that Norma and Sarita found was Romina's? Could it be that close? It kind of looked like the house. I find this whole Oscar side-family situation more odd with every episode. Like Carmella said, there's nothing attractive about that woman, how did she get Oscar to even look at her? Their whole existence is zero class - it's so weird.

It's also weird and interesting the total distinctions between actors in this. There are the beautiful people, and the scary looking weirdos, nothing else.

I enjoyed the whole bar scene even more than I thought I would. It reminded me of this comment from the other day Carmella: 'As for Juan David, he’s special! Too special for the likes of Rosario! I hate to think of him dirtying himself with her, lol.' Juan David was looking so innocent and young in that bar. Refusing to drink because he was driving and he didn't need to drink to have fun; he looked down right shy when the twins suggested inviting those girls over, and he looked like he had never seen a woman before when Rosario first gets up on the bar. Then Rosario!!! OMG no shy in her game, she was all over him and the looks on all three Reyes brothers' faces were priceless! I cracked up. I am still not a fan of this romance or anything - but it was very amusing to watch. JD had so much bravado with Gunter talking about how he didn't have to accept every invitation but it went out the window when he saw Rosario. LOL He looked like he forgot his own name!

I didn't think Gaby's shorts were that bad but I did find it weird that she was wearing short shorts while everyone else in the episode so in long sleeves and sweaters! So out of place.

You would think Gabriela would have learned her lesson with trying to set up men she's attracted to with her daughters! If I was her the very last thing I would ever do is try to set up Sarita with the guy who caught my eye. (For those who didn't watch season 1, Gabriela set up Norma with her first husband. A man she herself was secretly in love with and it ended very very badly! I mean it made bad endings look appealing - it was that horrible and deadly)

I meant to say the other day, even though I don't think the blackmailer really is scared of Erik, I started to wonder if maybe he knows him and Leon doesn't? Maybe that's why he won't talk to Erik, afraid he will recognize his voice? Either that or Leon is just more fun to mess with. He's definitely the more freaked out brother.

Anyway, I am really enjoying this a lot so far. It's weird but it's the right amount of weird. It has a freaky vibe to it, intermixed with just enough of the total mundane normal to make it feel just that much weirder.

Pasiòn

I am really enjoying your recaps. Thank Adriana and Darcy. By the way I thought Norma was the eldest sister in season 1?

Pasiòn

For now the recaps are doing it for me since I cannot watch for now. I enjoyed season 1 that's why I can't wait to finally watch season 2. Franco was fave though.
