Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #83
Part 1 of 4
Azize does not respond immediately to Miran’s demand that she return Fusun’s daughter to her and end the feud. She asks, if I do this, will you forgive me? With one act of kindness you want me to forgive your life of lies? Looking at Reyyan, Miran tells Azize, if she returns Fusun’s daughter to her, he will consider giving Azize a second chance. Azize, smiles brightly at the opportunity.
Handan and Fusun exchange pleasantries in the courtyard, well mainly Fusun says stuff to make Handan squirm with nerves. Meanwhile, Yaren tries to buy off the midwife into saying she is pregnant. The midwife scoffs/spits at her. Cihan arrives and joins Fusun and the nervous Handan. The midwife gives her report: Yaren is pregnant. Fusun and especially Yaren are surprised. As Fusun escorts the midwife out. Handan marvels that this is indeed a miracle. Yaren says Harun left her an insurance policy when he died.
Cihan gathers the two up and tells Fusun that now she knows all she needs to know. Fusun tells him that he can go, but Yaren is staying with her. After some discussion, Yaren tells her parents that this is what should happen, she should live in her husband’s home. Cihan and Handan think that Yaren is safe as long as she is with child.
Outside Casa Esma, Miran asks Reyyan if she is happy. Yes, this was the right thing to do for our happiness and for Umut, she responds. If Azize doesn’t keep her word, says Miran. I won’t ask you to forgive her, says Reyyan. They hug. Smiling now, Miran says it is time to head off for a surprise.
Handan and Cihan arrive back at the Sad casa. Zehra is sitting, looking miserable. Cihan has to go to a meeting and tells Handan not to be so excited about the calling him gramps just yet. Handan shares the news with Zehra and it seems to brighten her day.
A knock at Casa Esma brings in Azra. Azize is happy to see her but Azra is cold, calling her Mrs. Azize and not Tia Azize. When pressed by Azize, Azra demands to know who she really is? Who am I? Who are my parents? Are they still alive?
After a pause, Azize tells her, your mother is alive.
Azra is angry and demands to know why Azize separated her from her family? Azize finally tells her that she saved her from the orphanage at the request of her father, to protect Azra from the evilness of her mother. Azra says, my father? Who is my father? Who is my mother? After a meaningful look between Azize and Esma, Azize says, I will tell you what happened.
Back in at the kingdom of Fusun, she yells for Seyda and tells him to take care of every whim that her pregnant daughter in law desires, as Yaren sits and touches her belly, still in disbelief. Fusun also tells him to bring her a pair of scissors. Seyda is concerned about that request and hops out of the courtyard like a scared rabbit.
Miran’s surprise for Reyyan is showing her the new corporate offices for the Umut Sadoglu Foundation. She is thrilled and thanks him for the amazing gift to help woman and young girls. He shows her around and then they head off to shop for Umut’s bedroom. There are several cute scenes of both of them shopping for the baby. Loaded up with lots of baby stuff, they head for the checkout stand.
Meanwhile, Seyda is forcibly carried by two guards to Fusun and her scissors. She chops his hair off, while he cries. She sees Yaren watching from the kitchen door, eating an apple and wants to know if she is okay. Yaren is smart to head back to her bedroom without a word.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #83
Part 2 of 4
At the Hopeless konak, the guards are carrying in the baby shopping haul to Umut’s bedroom. (I have to laugh at Lutfi spraying each item with disinfectant, including the guards. It reminds me of me at the height of the pandemic). Inside the baby room, ReyMir talk about how they plan on decorating everything.
Rey tells Miran that she has to read all the baby books he gave her and he should read them too. She reminds him of the promise he made at the cabin when he first learned they were going to have a baby. He remembers the promise to make Umut the happiest child ever and to never leave him alone. Reyyan makes him re-promise this promise. (There is definitely something going on with Reyyan’s health).
Dilsah passes by the baby room and sees the happy couple. Reyyan sees her, but Dilsah gives her a dirty look and walks off. Miran sees all of this and tells Reyyan to concentrate only on Umut. He will not let anyone upset or hurt her. She wants to start setting up the room right away so she can see it finished (another hint of her health status). Miran tells her has to attend a meeting but will be back soon and they can get started then.
Reyyan immediately begins to cry and ask, why Lord? She opens a box with little booties and sits on pillows leaning up against a huge stuffed mama duck, crying. Meanwhile, Ayise answers the knock on the konak front door. It is Mahfuz and he asks he if Reyyan is alone. She confirms that Miran just left for work. Ayise escorts him to the baby room.
Mahfuz knocks on the nursery door. Reyyan is surprised to see him and asks if everything is okay? He says that he knew her heart was hurting and he could not stay away any longer. May I come in? With a nod, Rey lets him into the bedroom. He looks around the room at all the baby stuff and saying sadly, if only I had been with your mother, excited about your birth. If only we could have shopped together and I would have taken you into my arms when you were born.
There are no “if only’s” father, Reyyan responds. Surprised, Mahfuz says, did you just call me “father?” Yes, she responds, because you are my dad. Even if you were not there when I was young, I see the regret in your eye now. I don’t want to live with “if only,” you are my father. He moves to hug her saying, you are my most beautiful blessing, my daughter. It is a nice moment. (Now I am certain something is very wrong with Reyyan).
Hazar enters the room and accidently interrupts the hug. Mahfuz says he was leaving anyway. They greet each other warmly. Hazar wonders if he left because of him? No, says Reyyan, he heard about what happened. Hazar says, of course Mahfuz will always worry about her, after all he is her father. Hazar asks if Rey is okay after the Dilsah incident. She says she is fine and is just going to stay focused on Umut. They hug and Reyyan tells him that Umut is going to be so lucky to have a grandfather like Hazar.
Reyyan breaks the nice mood by telling Hazar about the visit she and Miran made to Azize and that Miran is willing to give her another chance. Hazar is not at all happy with this piece of news.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #83
Part 3 of 4
In the car on his way to the meeting, Miran calls Fusun and tells her that he knows about the daughter Azize is keeping from her. He says that Azize is going to tell Fusun who she is and demands that when this occurs, Fusun is to stay far away from his family. He hangs up on her. Fusun wonders what Azize is up too now.
In the board room, Firat is impatiently texting someone while Miran and Azat wait. Cihan arrives as Firat says that Azize, Nasuh and Hazar are not going to make the meeting. Cihan demands to know what is going on. Firat says they are there to discuss the fraudulent transfer of funds from the corporate account to a personal account without the approval of the board of directors.
He hands the paperwork to those present. Bottom line, Miran and Firat ask for an explanation while Azat is puzzled but then remembers his dad saying they could all move to Istanbul. Azat covers for Cihan saying he did know about his father taking the money for a very personal matter but did not realize it had already occured. Because Azat didn’t follow the corporation bylaws by informing the board, he will step down as the president of the board. He tells Firat to call a board meeting for the next week to elect a new board president.
Outside of the conference room, Cihan tries to stop Azat, but he says, we made a mistake and this the right thing to do. Cihan appreciates how Azat defended his sorry ass and tells him not to step down. Azat tells Cihan, you are my father but what you did was wrong. I will do the right thing and step down. Don’t try and change who I am. Azat leaves Cihan contemplating how in the heck he managed to raise such an honest and ethical son. He also hopes that Azat’s decision doesn’t result in a disaster for them. (I am assuming the Sadoglu family).
Azat runs into Gonul downstairs. She is surprised to still see him around. I thought you were leaving? I am he responds, but I want to talk to you first, about us.
Miran runs into Hazar in the office lobby. Hazar is furious with Miran for giving Azize a second chance. Hazar rightly states that Azize has only caused havoc and pain to their family. He claims that it is her fault Dilsah almost slapped Reyyan that morning because she is terrified of having Azize back in their midst. Miran tries to reason with Hazar, saying he has not forgiven Azize but he doesn’t want his son to live through the same things he and Reyyan have lived through therefore he willing to give her a chance. He walks away and leaves Hazar alone in the lobby.
At the Aslanbey konak, a nicely coiffed Seyda has the table set and loaded with food. Fusun tells Yaren to eat up, all of this is for her grandson. Seyda will take care of her every need for the next 9 months. Walking away, Fusun talks out loud (because we can hear everything through porous doors, but not a word out in the open, just feet away) saying, you have nine months to enjoy and give me a grandchild. After those nine months, your world will change. Time is ticking away. Her out loud thinking is interrupted by her head hench man who gives her a letter.
Opening the letter, it is from Hasan, her baby daddy. She is stunned. Her phone rings, surprise, surprise, it is Azize. Fusun demands, did you send this letter? Azize responds, Hasan asked me to give it to your daughter but I am giving it to you instead. (I hope Azra got a chance to read the letter!). Fusun angrily heads to her bedroom.
Hercai: Amor y Venganza – Season 2 Episode #83
Part 4 of 4
Esma and Azize talk. Esma is confused as to why Azize gave the letter to Fusun before telling Azra the truth and giving her the letter without Fusun gaining her trust first. Azize is focused on what Miran told her and getting him to forgive her. Wistfully, she thinks that Azra will be hurt at first and will hopefully give Fusun a second chance. Azize continues, I had to do it this way. The chance Miran has given me to be forgiven greatly outweighs my revenge against Fusun. (Wow, she seems really genuine). Esma shakes her head, concerned.
Fusun reads the letter in the bedroom, here is my best understanding of what it says:
“My daughter Gunes, I am very sick. I must know that you are in good hands before I die. Therefore, I am leaving you at the orphanage, please don’t think that your father abandoned you. Don’t think your father gave up on you. I have no other choice, my beautiful daughter.”
We go to a shot of Azra reading the letter (yes!): “Your mother is alive and you will learn this after you grow up.” Azra cries as she continues to read:
“One day you will find her or she will find you. When you find her, don’t be angry with me Gunes, she abandoned you as a little baby. She gave you to me and left. Fusun Aslanbey, that is your mother. She left you for money, prestige and her family name. If I thought she could actually be your mother, I would leave you with her.” (The scene shots go back and forth between mother and daughter reading the letter).
“I cannot do that because she left you once and will not accept you a second time. This woman has neither a sense of mercy or motherhood. Don’t forget this my beautiful daughter so you won’t be hurt by her. Your loving father, Hasan.”
Azra cries as Fusun gets ticked and calls Miran. We don’t hear the full conversation. Azra confronts Dilsah and asks her, why did you say Fusun was no one when I asked you? Because she is, says Dilsah sweetly. Azra tells her, I trusted you my whole life and now I find out my life is all a lie! (Get in line for that theme of this dizi, sister). She tosses the letter in Dilsah’s face and storms out of the room.
Azize is standing in a fork of a road as Miran drives up. He demands to know if she gave Fusun her daughter back? I did, says Azize. You did? Then why did Fusun call me to say that you are blackmailing her with a letter from the father of her daughter? Azize looks stunned as the episode ends.
Thanks VERY much, VVS, for this terrific recap. I burst out laughing at this side comment:
"now I find out my life is all a lie! (Get in line for that theme of this dizi, sister)." You nailed it, VVS!
Yes, Fusun and Yaren are surprised that Yaren is really pregnant, but Viewerville knew all along.
So how does Mahfouz know that Reyyan is upset? Is it just because of the incident where Dilsah tries to hit her? Or are we supposed to believe that just because Mahfouz's sperm fertilized Zehra's egg, he now has supernatural instincts about his daughter's psyche?
I am very confused about Hasan's letter. Indeed, I decided there had to be two identical letters, as ridiculous as that seems. But how else can Azra actually have the letter and toss it in Dilsah's face? We see that Fusun receives the letter (and, indeed, Azize says she has given it to her). Fusun would certainly not have given the letter to Azra. That means that Azra had to have had it before it was sent to Fusun, but then Azra couldn't have tossed it angrily at Dilsah and stormed out. ???
Alas, I agree with you, VVS, about the likelihood that there's some very serious health issue involving Reyyan. Arrgh. And double arrgh, since I'm probably going to have to deal with it in tomorrow's recap. If this were a Spanish telenovela, I'd be less bothered, since the odds would be good that all would ultimately work out well. But I'm told that Turkish dizis are less predictable. Damn, if I've hung in there all these months, only to be confronted with the death of the main female character, I'll....
Thanks Juanita for the great comments and questions. I had not even thought about there being two letters from Hasan, one Azize gave to Azra and one that Azize sent to Fusun. That went totally over my head! Great catch on your part!
I think Ayise is keeping Mahfuz informed of all that goes on with Reyyan and that is why he showed up after Dilsah tried to smack her. I thought your “sperm fertilized Zehra's egg, he now has supernatural instincts about his daughter's psyche?” theory makes sense at the stage of the dizi.
Oh my goodness, the writers cannot possibly kill off Reyyan. We have endured all the highs and lows and sappy love scenes for nothing? We already know that Azra isn’t a brilliant doctor so she won’t be able to save Reyyan, perhaps a second opinion might be in order if there is something wrong and clearly there is. Let’s hope that this dizi is the exception to what dondi356 has explained to us about the not so happy ever after's.
BTW Juanita, Telemundo moved a lot of scenes around and in the Turkish version timeline, there was a great interaction with Gonul and Azat. Hopefully it will be added tonight and since I use the Turkish as a guide to write my recaps, I have three full paragraphs ready to go if you want them! 😊
VVS, thanks so much for another great recap . You never know what strange detail will pop up in this tale of woe. Fusun cutting Sevdas hair. Why? Comic relief ? The trip to Babies R Us ???
Having watched 4 Dizis and watching a fifth , I am aware that the endings are not always happy for the main couple , the soulmates. Ugh
Right now , I am struggling through reruns of" Amor Eterna" on Uni and cringing at the medieval violence of "Kurulus Osman." Yikes ...
Hang on.
Thank you Susanlynn for the comments. I also wondered if the Seyda haircut was for comic relief or just another Fusun power play?
Ah, so you are another dizi pro who has seen these story go south. I really do hope this is the exception. At least Nasuh and Ayse seem happy, for now.
Thanks, VVS, for your offer of the 3 paragraphs. I think I'll stick to what the Telemundo version presents, but please don't hesitate to add your info in the comments.
BTW, I am not at all sure that there are 2 Hasan letters. I offered that possibility, as unlikely as it seems, because it was the only way I could explain the scenes when and where the letter appears.
Fabulous recap, VVS, thanks so much. I nodded my head and laughed along with the snarky bits. Well done!
Yaren’s pregnancy makes me sad. I feel sorry for her baby and it makes me upset about Harun all over again. I think he would have forgiven her and kept her out of trouble and possibly out of danger from Fusun. Now she’s going to go back to her old ways and mess with the Aslanbeys. It’s good that Fusun set an expiration date for her.
"Sıhhatler olsun", Seyda. Maybe he’s lucky he still has his head. Was that necessary, Fusun? I guess she has to torture someone to make her day. Not easy living in the “kingdom of Fusun.”
Reyyan is tying up loose ends and making her peace with everyone before...
ITA, Juanita, “Damn, if I've hung in there all these months, only to be confronted with the death of the main female character, I'll....” I’ve been down this road before, and I really hope this is not the case.
Susanlynn, you are brave to watch Amor Eterno again. Sometimes I watch clips on YouTube, but I can’t really enjoy them. Yep, lots of violence in those Ottoman stories, but at least they are not as graphic as they could be. Someday I hope to get around to watching Burak in Osman. He had a supporting role in Magnificent Century and was wonderful there.
The letter scene was a bit confusing and so was Azize’s reaction at the end. It looked like Azra had the original letter (the one Azize took out of the chest) and Fusun had a copy that was a nice, bright white. So, did Azize send a copy of the letter to Fusun or not?
I feel bad about Harun biting the dust too dondi356. He might have been able to make it work with Yaren. I wonder if she really is pregnant? All we have is confirmation from the surly midwife.
As I mentioned to Juanita, I didn't even consider how both Azra and Fusun had the letter. Fusun did have a nice white copy.
Please don't die Reyyan.
Thanks SO much for the terrific recap, VVS. I have been MIA for a couple of days so I'd also like to thank Dondi for another really excellent and complete recap of Fridays show. I took a screen vacation over the weekend and was at work in person on Monday.
I believe I've said this before, and maybe I missed it. But when Reyyan is wheedling Miran into forgiving Azize, why doesn't she ever tell him about the herbs Azize fed her that saved Umut?
I just can't with Miran and his surprises. Sure, the foundation is nice. But he gets that smug, self-satisfied look on his face and puffs out his chest when he demonstrates to her what a great guy he is (not!).
Something I don't remember knowing about before and I can't remember if it was in the recap or a comment. It was said that Azize took the baby at the request of Hasan. This puts her in a better light than her snatching the infant from the orphanage to serve two purposes: get back at Fusun for some old enmity and keep Dilsah in line.
We were treated to another Hazar rant at the prospect of Miran's forgiving Azize. Miran sure is from his blood line.
I didn't think that haircut was comic relief. I thought it was ghastly. Besides the fact that Seyda is terrified of Fusun having anything sharp in his vicinity, it was just another example of how these ricos consider servants to be little more than slaves.
Got a kick, VVS, out of the contrast between the hearing differences between "porous doors" and out-loud monologues.
VVS:.........SweetRecap!!!!!go for it!!!!!!!cause I'm on the J.O.B-tip....I Ain't got time..!!!!
THANKS MUCHO..CAUSE WE ARE MAKING PROGRESS.......Insha-Allah??!!!
the Letter..Azize ,you can not help yourself...why oh why.. did you EFF-over Fusun and Azra as well. This was not necessary. XEROX COPIES...You can not HELP BEING MESSY!! ...THAT -WAS-TOO-EXTRA!!
REYYAN most likely eclampsia/ I told Ya'll... the chick has High Blood Pressure. Running around like a maniac..
Season 2 Episode 25 – Monday – Part 1 of 4
The Twins are getting drunk and lamenting their fate but Eric encourages Leon to stop drinking because he is going to make himself sick. Leon says he is so nervous he can’t even get drunk. The boys don’t know what to do because Oscar has always helped them but now, he is preoccupied with Jimena’s health. Eric thinks not even Uncle Oscar would help after seeing that video. Whoever sees it will just think the are savages that killed an old defenseless man. He suggests turning themselves in and taking the extortionist with them but Leon says no way. Norma shows up and reads them the riot act for drinking too much and acting like babies. They claim they were upset they couldn’t go to the fair but Norma says go ahead, who’s stopping you? Just act like normal human beings when you get there. The boys go off to bed.
Next morning, the boys are driving somberly off somewhere and Oscar is having a nightmare about monks in purple carrying Jimena’s dead body off. He’s woken by Berta telling him Leon and Eric are there looking for him. The boys have come to show their uncle the video and put themselves in Oscar’s hands because they can’t think of anything else to do.
Breakfast at Casa de Juan is twin less, of course, and the family comments on their absence. Norma thinks they drank too much the last before but JD thinks they couldn’t have drunk too much if they got up so early. Norma isn’t convinced, she saw the scene, she asks JD if they really didn’t tell him anything? And JD says they don’t talk to me, they only talk to each other it’s like they’re dating! LOL Juan asks Quintina and she tells them she thinks they went to see Oscar. Juan doesn’t like this, he would love to run right over there and see what’s up but he can’t he has a meeting. Norma can’t either she has to stay and welcome their guests this afternoon. JD can’t even keep his mom company he has to go to the Fuentes ranch to examine some horses before they sell them. Norma says, well I guess I’ll be alone again! (Check out the look on JD’s face when she says this! So funny!)
The twins apologize for waking their uncle, he slept in because he took a sleeping pill. The small talk lasts less than a minute then Oscar turns the conversation to the extortionist. The boys want to wait until after they’ve seen Aunt Jimena before telling him but Oscar isn’t having it. In fact, they aren’t even going to eat breakfast, they go off to talk alone. Eric and Leon try to stall by making their uncle promise he won’t stop trusting him. They even start to argue between themselves about whether or not to show Uncle Oscar after all, but in the end a forceful Eric wins over a very reluctant Leon and the phone is passed to Oscar so he can watch the video.
In the hospital, Gabriela is visiting Jimena, and she has Demetrio with her because she apparently can’t go anywhere without him. The doctor arrives and Gabriela even tells the doctor Demetrio is part of the family!? The Doc says Jimena was going to go home today but the doctor has decided to keep her a couple more days so she can fully recover. He asks Gabriela and Demetrio to leave so he can examine Jimena. Jimena asks about Oscar. He called this morning and said he’d be there in the afternoon.
Oscar is watching the video and he looks about to blow. He starts right in with ‘How could you’ and doesn’t give the twins any chance to explain anything. He is taking the video to the police right away! He isn’t going to cover up this horrible thing. The twins right after him, trying in vain to get him to listen he instead calls them murders and tells them never to call him ‘Tio’ again, and throws in the you are killing this whole family with embarrassment and ‘damn you and your brother’ for good measure. (What a fantastically loving uncle, judge, jury, and executioner! Does the part of the video we didn’t see show a murder? Because what we watched didn’t) He regrets ever seeing them as sons and even punches Leon who returns the favor (good!) but Eric holds his brother back and doesn’t let it escalate.
Oscar doesn’t have the same respect and continues to say horrible things to his nephews. Berta comes out and offers to go to the police or Juan but Oscar says call no one I will take care of it. He takes off in his car and Eric yells at Berta to get back inside, she scurries off as if he hit her. The twins are upset their uncle could treat them like trash! Now they know they can’t trust anyone and can only expect the worst. (I still say they can and should have from the beginning trusted dear old dad)
Rosario is dreaming about being in bed with JD and awakes up alone. She asks Blanca about Muriel but is told she’s out of the house. She calls but it goes straight to voicemail. She walks to Muriel’s room and finds the ghoul. He doesn’t know where Muriel is but assumes she’s with Andres, he suggests she call him. She says she already did (so I guess she called Andres not Muriel) but it went straight to voicemail. She doubts she’s with Andres anyway because he was out late last night with some patrons. They have no idea then where she might be.
I know where she is! She’s with JD at the Fuentes ranch and they aren’t examining any horses. But I guess he was serious about that finding a place to be alone because they are in the middle of nowhere – it’s beautiful though. JD asks Muriel if she ever thought about staying put in one place making it her own. Muriel says the place she’s stayed the longest is the city where her dad lives but it has bad memories, it’s where her parent’s marriage ended. She says being stuck between her parents is like being in a war were you don’t know who to side with because you love them both. JD thinks that must have made her strong. Muriel says she admires JD’s parents. How they are with each other, they clearly adore one another and are confident in their relationship and family. JD says they’ve always been close and even the twins are very good guys deep down – very deep down! Muriel laughs.
Oscar is waiting for the twins to catch up, apparently his hot head cooled down a little. They stop and get out of the Jeep. Nope, Uncle isn’t ready to listen he just isn’t one to judge. He’s giving the boys the opportunity to get gone. He won’t turn them in but he never wants to see them again in his life! Go somewhere far far away where no one will find you. The boys think their uncle should get a grip (or maybe that’s just what I think) Eric tries to get him to listen to him. He admits they lied about some stuff but there’s more to the story than just that video. They want to tell Oscar everything – absolutely everything – and then he can judge! (Imagine that) Oscar doesn’t look convinced but he doesn’t say no.
JD asks Muriel what her parents were like. She says they were strange, they lived in big houses with closed doors. JD guesses even though she had no siblings she must have had lots of friends in the city. She says she had no one, she spent her days with Gunter, does JD think Gunter is good company for a young girl? Um, no, definitely not! (Gunter isn’t good company for anyone) JD asks if anything bad ever happened and we see a flashback of a young girl crying and begging to be let go while a big man in a towel pulls her to him. JD asks if she’s okay but all she says is she remembered a place she didn’t want to be.
Back at the house, Oscar is watching the video again and says it’s horrible. Only a professional could hope to refute it, what were they thinking? They know the video looks bad but there’s more to the story and Adela is the root of the problem. It all started with the incident from years ago, the Prof was convinced the twins had perverted his little girl. Oscar thinks they lied about never seeing Adela again after that night, but the twins say that was true. They saw her a twice accidentally but nothing happened. Once in the square and once in the church. Eric asks if Leon remembers at the church and Leon says he’ll never forget that day. We see the church and hear the boys say Adela showed up with Felix and they were both sunburnt, shockingly so. We see the badly burnt kids with their stern looking dad. They tell Oscar about the punishment of being tied in the sun – apparently the whole town was talking about it! (Why didn’t anyone report him for child abuse?) We see more details of this horrible punishment in flashback. Eric says that could have killed them and Oscar asks if they decided to get revenge in the same way. Eric shakes his head.
Eric says it wasn’t intentional. Yes, they gave him a taste of his own medicine, they even took him out to the ruins but they didn’t plan it things turned out the way they did because of the actions of the professor. That man started blaming them for a bunch of stuff and they didn’t even know what he was talking about until he finally claimed that he was going to have them both arrested for abusing Adela. The Prof claimed that they had both been abusing her for years. Adela had been pregnant a few months ago and he knew the baby was fathered by one of them and now she’s pregnant again. Eric says they haven’t seen Adela in years but the Prof says Adela confessed, she admitted they’ve been lovers for years! Oscar says so that’s what he did. The boys say yes, he blamed us for something we didn’t do. This started the darkest day of their lives.
Back in the light, JD is asking Muriel to imagine she had to pick one place to live the rest of her life, where would it be. Muriel says it’d be somewhere similar to what I’m seeing right now (she’s looking at JD not the scenery) JD asks how? Muriel says a place with fresh air, peace, and surrounded by nature. JD looks nervous and even has to correct himself when Muriel asks if the Fuentes’ have a horse business and he says yes without thinking. The Fuentes’ have very few horses. JD confesses Muriel is the only person he has ever brought with him to that spot. Muriel thanks him for sharing it with her and kisses his cheek and JD is looking pretty nervous again! (LOL) But happy too.
The twins say they trying to calm the professor down but it kept screaming insults at them. They wanted to go to Adela and clear it up or have her tell her lies to their faces but the old man refused. He wouldn’t talk in front of Adela until they admitted to their crimes. The twins then decided to take the professor to the edge of town so they could talk privately and he went willingly but things got out of control later due to his uncontrollable rage. Things went farther than they expected. They tried again to say it was just one day but the Prof insists they’ve been at it for years.
Season 2 Episode 25 – Monday – Part 4 of 4
Norma comes back and finds no one attending to the guests. (That horrible Adan calls her Normita and helps her down from the horse, I don’t like him!) Norma goes to say hi after being told the twins aren’t there or answering their phones. She is greeted by Prudencia Grisel, whom she doesn’t remember well but they catch up quickly, walking off, and stupid Adan has to comment that Norma gets hotter every day. His buddy tries to shush him but he doesn’t care who hears. Norma is hot and it’s a shame she only has eyes for her brute of a husband. Buddy says you’ll be sorry if he hears you say that! (Please Juan, hear him say it!!!)
Now at the ruins with the Professor we see the twins memories of the day and them asking the Prof if he remembers torturing his students there. Prof sits down and the boys ask him if Adela is pregnant. He tells them Adela came up pregnant and Felix and her dad were shocked and they pressured her so much she had an abortion – in secret. But a couple months later Adela was pregnant again and the old man went crazy, he even kicked Felix out of the house (it’s unclear how/why this is related). Oscar thinks it makes sense, so he could be alone with Adela and torture her until he found out the truth. The Prof confirms this more or less but Adela blamed the twins. Oscar doesn’t think the Prof would believe her but Leon says he did. More of the flashback and we see Eric suggesting they all go back to town and confront Adela, they can get a DNA test and prove she’s lying! Prof says we aren’t going anywhere until we clear this up between us! One of you got my daughter pregnant and you will take responsibility for it! I don’t care which one. Eric says no problem, your daughter is beautiful either one of us would be happy to marry her, but first let’s find out who the daddy is! The Prof goes crazy and punches Eric in the gut, and there the fighting started. What we see on the video, they tie him up and it’s clear someone is watching. (Still no murder shown…)
Norma is checking out the horses with Prudencia when Andres arrives and it looks like he brought all the crowd from Rosario’s table the night before. He goes to greet Aunt Norma who is thrilled to see him. He introduces himself first to Prudencia and then gives his aunt a big hug telling her she’s beautiful as always. Norma says she’s glad he’s there. Andres introduces his company which she welcomes warmly. His friends include Albin who greets her as ‘Senorita Norma’ and asks if she owns the whole place. He seems shocked when she says she’s married and has kids who are even older than Andres. He thought she was much younger and he apologizes. Norma smiles at him in a way that might just challenge Adan’s statement about Norma only having eyes for her husband! (what?)
And there we end.
Hi there novelera and HalimaCandy. I always enjoy reading your comments.
novelera, I don't recall if Reyyan specifically told Miran about the herbs that saved Umut, it would sure help in both he and Hazar being a little nicer to Azize. Yes, Azize did say that Hasan asked her to take care of Azra, that is why she adopted her. We did not really believe Azize's side but I think this letter may prove that Fusun is a more horrible person. Miran is a showboat kind of galan for sure.
HalimaCandy, work always seems to get in the way of watching the actual show! Glad the recap helps.
Sorry I forgot to indicate 'Pasion' before parts 2 and 3. In a hurry today and rushing. Hopefully the typos aren't too bad. It's been a day!
Oscar disgusted me in this episode!! Even more than he already has! I don't love the twins, but he claims to and that is NOT how you treat someone you love! The things he said to them were cruel! I wouldn't say anything like that to my nephews for anything in the world. Not even if they were guilty. Now if they were guilty I wouldn't turn a blind eye either, I'd turn them in myself but I'd do it without saying hateful ugly things. Yuck, Oscar sucks!
Andres was a highlight in this. He was at his most charming even in the little 30 seconds of screen time.
JD was totally funny. It's cute how shy he can be, even if I find it really hard to believe a guy that gorgeous would be that gun shy. He said in the first couple episodes to his dad that he'd dated plenty just hadn't found the one yet. He looked more like he was on his first date. In the middle of nowhere....that would be a creepy place to take a girl on a first date if she didn't know you well or already trust you, but Muriel seems comfortable with him so I guess it works.
Adriana, I totally agree with your comment the other day about the boys being afraid to tell Juan and afraid to disappoint him but it's time to overcome that fear! They need help and Uncle Oscar is NOT qualified to do this...
JD saying the twins only talk to each other it's as if they are dating was so freaking hilarious!!
You definitely have a way with words Darcy! I have really enjoyed the recaps and now that I am caught up, I can comment too!
I was totally “que the heck” with the way Tio Oscar dealt with the twins. They asked him not to judge and he didn’t even give it two seconds before he was throwing them in jail.
The revelation of what occurred, at least from the twins perspective, was so dark. I wonder if Adela’s two pregnancies were caused by her incestuous father or Felix? Maybe a bit of Flowers in the Attic going on between the siblings?
The back and forth with the twins story and then watching Muriel with JD was quite the contrast of emotions. Unfortunately, this changed with Muriel’s horrible memory of that fat slob pulling her toward him. Ugh!
I do hope the twins turn to Juan for help, I have not been impressed with Oscar at all. Juan also needs to get a whiff of Adan not so secretly lusting of his wife. Interesting the guy I thought was gay and maybe a love interest for Andres, was certainly flirting with Norma at the end of the epi.
JD saying his brothers talk like they are dating was pretty funny! Thanks again Darcy! Great recap!
What an episode...could it be that the professor himself was the one responsible for Adela’s pregnancy and was just looking to assuage his perverted guilt by blaming the boys?? Also that flashback Muriel had got me so worried...was she sexually assaulted when she was young and by whom.
That Adan dude better stay away from Norma
Now Norma I hope she doesn’t give Albin mixed signals to encourage his blatant flirting...at this point me and my popcorn are ready to enjoy the beat down from Juan because trust me I know there will be a beat down.
Busy work day, but had to tell you VVS, how much I ENJOYED your recap!!!
I’m TOTALLY confused, and am about to run around in circles like everyone else in this story does! The letter was confusing, Yaren truly being pregnant is confusing, Cihan and his real reason for extorting funds was confusing, and WHY IN THE WORLD did Fusun cut Seyda’s hair was the most confusing of all! Fusun’s total existence is to, of course, get revenge, but I think that she gets an even bigger thrill out of emasculating men! She probably did the same thing to Azra’s father, ball buster that she is!
Anyhoo, it ain’t looking great for Reyyan. I hope everything will be alright….. We’ll see…….
Thanks again VVS!!!
Great recap Darcy! Thanks so much! Again, I’m on the run, but wanted to say that Oscar is a jerk and a fool! He’s like this idiot that doesn’t know which way is up, and needs to defer to the common sense of his older brother! I don’t like Oscar!
JD and Muriel were refreshing with all the darkness going on with the twins. JD’s shyness was not what I expected but it was cute nonetheless. He and Muriel will share many things, I hope, before Rosario try’s to take it away from them both.
Norma flirting?!?!? What!!!! Juan will kick some serious butt if he catches anybody eyeing his Norma. It will be interesting!
Thanks again!
Hercai2: #84 - p 1 of 3
As the episode opens, we see a furious Miran confronting Azize, accusing her of not keeping her promise to return Azra to Fusun. "You lost your chance," he tells her. "You're the worst person I know and the biggest liar." Meanwhile, we see Azra with the letter her father wrote. "Your mother gave you up . She didn't want you. She left you in my arms and went away. Fusun Aslanbey is your mother. She chose money, power, and the Aslanbey name."
The scene shifts to Azat and Gonul seated at a cafe. Azat tells her he used to work here, as a waiter. Gonul is stunned--Azat, grandson of the great Nasuh, working as a waiter? Was it a punishment? she asks. Not at all, replies Azat. "He wanted to teach me what it means to work for my money." He then turns the conversation to the two of them. "We can name a thousand reasons not to do this," he says, "but I want to be happy with you. I'll fight for this if it is necessary, if you want it, too." Gonul reminds him of what she had said a few days earlier: "It doesn't matter what others do or say. I'm willing to suffer and to fight--as long as neither of us gives up on the other." They grasp each other's hands, and Azat proclaims, "We won't give up."
Reyyan clearly doesn't feel well. She assures Umut that she's OK. She hears noise and goes outside to investigate. It's snowing. She comes upon Miran building a swing for Umut as the snow falls. Reyyan gets on the swing.
Hazar thinks about Miran explaining why he gave Azize a second chance. He then knocks on the door. Azize comes out. Hazar tells her, "You want me to forgive you and call you Mother? I will do so, on one condition: Leave this place, without telling anyone. Once you leave, I'll do what you want."
Reyyan is crying. Miran is worried, but she claims she's happy and is crying from joy. Miran tells her, "When Umut is born, you'll hold him in your arms on the swing. You'll sing to him with your beautiful voice, while I push you on the swing. He'll love swings, just like his mother, but I'll never let him fall like they let his father fall. He'll never feel sad. Our child will grow up to be very, very happy. You'll see. Umut will be very good for us." Reyyan replies, "Our son will be fortunate to have a father like you." "God willing," says Miran. They embrace. The scene would normally be absurdly sappy, but this time the sappiness is tempered by our knowledge from the previous episode that something ominous lies in store for Reyyan.
We next see a strange, dreamlike scene of the future. Miran is playing with a very young Umut. A young girl, somewhat bigger than Umut, is on a swing. Reyyan is also present. Everyone seems very happy, but everyone is dressed in eerie white. Umut goes to sit next to the girl (presumably his dead sister) on the swing. Suddenly, both children disappear. Miran is frantic, and then he wakes up. Reyyan tells him it was just a nightmare, but he's still very shaken. He tells Reyyan, "Now I understand how you felt when you lost our baby." Reyyan assures him that that won't happen, it's over.
Reyyan may assure Miran, but she has a flashback of the doctor telling her that Umut is OK, but she won't be able to give birth to the baby. If she tries, she could die. They need to set a date to interrupt the pregnancy. Reyyan informs the doctor that she has decided to give birth to the baby. The doctor tells her, "It would be suicide." Reyyan replies, "I know you're trying to do the right thing, but I can't give up on my son. He must be born. He'll have a wonderful life with his father, even though I can't be there."
Hercai2: #84 - p 2 of 3
We now see Reyyan walking very hesitantly, holding her stomach. She remembers telling the doctor, "When it comes to the life of a child, a mother stops thinking about her own life." The doctor wants to inform Miran about the situation. "You can't hide this from your husband." Reyyan pleads with her not to tell him. She assures the doctor, "When the time is right, I will tell him."
The timing of these sections with Reyyan and the flashbacks is a little confusing, but I think Reyyan has again gone to see the doctor, perhaps to sign the document saying that she is aware of the risks and wants nonetheless to go ahead with the birth. She has left a note on her pillow for the sleeping Miran, saying that she has just gone out for a walk and not to worry. In fact, she takes a taxi to the hospital to see the doctor. She signs the document. "Are you sure?" the doctor asks one more time.
We now see her in the taxi returning from the doctor after signing the document. She apparently has a copy with her. She has an imaginary conversation with Miran, in which she tells him "I made the decision for both of us. I don't want you to be angry with me. When you find out what I did, don't question yourself. They may tell you a different story, but you'll know the truth." She also addresses Umut. "I didn't choose to die, son. I just chose to leave you with your father, while I take care of you from heaven with your sister." [I'm at a loss as to what to say. I am frankly appalled that she has not consulted Miran about this exceedingly important decision.]
Azize confronts Hazar outside the Sad konak. He's annoyed to see that she hasn't left yet. She tells him, "I'm leaving, Hazar. I decided that you're right." He replies, "I'm glad. Leave and never come back. What are you waiting for?" She tells him, "When I was pregnant with you, I understood that I had a wonderful life inside me." Hazar replies, "I want absolutely nothing to do with you, Mamá." Bingo, he said the magic word. Azize sheds tears of joy and thanks him for this gift.
Reyyan is now also at this scene when along comes Miran. Azize explains to Miran that she came to say goodbye to his father. Miran of course doesn't believe her. "What are you doing with my wife?" he asks her. "If you're really leaving, why are you with my wife?" Reyyan tries to tell him that it was just a coincidence, but Miran doesn't buy this. "It's coincidence with you, Reyyan, but with Azize, it's strategy." He again asks why Azize is still here. Azize says she would like his blessing before she leaves. Miran replies angrily, "You want my blessing, but you dan't do the one thing I asked of you. Why couldn't you give Fusun back her daughter?" Azize tells him, "There are things you don't know, Miran." Not surprisingly, he laughs. People are always telling him there are things he doesn't know. Azize simply says, "Farewell. May God always bless you." Azize walks away happy. She thinks to herself, "I know your heart, Miran. I know you're still standing there, because I'm still your abuela." Alas, Dilsah has witnessed this entire scene. She thinks that Reyyan has gotten Miran and Azize together.
Azra is trying frantically to reach Azize by phone. "Answer, Azize, please answer," she says. Dilsah overhears her. She enters the room and asks Azra whom she was talking to. Azra lies about it being someone at work. She's cold to Dilsah and asks her to give her more time. "It's not everyday you find out the truth about your life," she says. Azra then leaves. Dilsah is convinced that Azize is trying to take both Azra and Miran from her, Miran for the second time. She thinks, "If that's your plan, Azize, I will have to kill you with your own weapon."
Hercai2: #84 - p 3 of 3
Reyyan and Miran are arguing about Azize. Reyyan thinks Miran should have asked Azize to stay a while longer to prove that she has changed and has earned his forgiveness. Miran is fed up with Azize, is angry that she didn't keep her promise, and has no wish to go run after her. Azra enters the room in the midst of this argument and starts talking. Miran want to know what she has to do with this issue. She explains that she is Fusun's daughter. "Azize tried to get me to meet my mother, but I wanted time. It's hard to think that the mother who for years I thought was dead is still alive. I didn't think I could meet with her, and so I asked Azize to remain quiet." Reyyan is ecstatic. "You see, Miran, Azize did keep her promise. Go and bring her back. Don't let her go."
Handan comes to see Yaren. Though she's happy that Yaren is pregnant, she doesn't trust the midwife and wants Yaren to have a real doctor examine her. She also still wants Yaren to come back to the Sadoglu konak. She doesn't trust Fusun. Even if Fusun leaves her alone while she's pregnant, what will happen after Yaren has given birth? Yaren tells her she wants to stay with Fusun. She's convinced that Fusun must have a great secret in her past, and Yaren is determined to find out what it is. "Then my baby won't be the only guarantee I have." Handan is skeptical, though she admits that she likes the idea of being a grandmother. She puts her hands on Yaren's belly. Yaren takes them off. She tells her mother, "I may have an abortion." Handan is taken aback. "Having a child is a miracle, a miracle, Harun wanted you to keep living. Stop speaking foolishness, you're scaring me. [what? only now, Handan?]
Fusun tells Handan that she is spending too much time with Yaren and is visiting her too often. She says, "You are to have nothing to do with your daughter, except when I permit it." Handan has that "don't mess with me" look.
Mahmoud is driving Azize to who knows where. She thinks about the moment when Hazar called her Mamá. She tells Mahmoud not to cry. "I did what I had to do, and now it's time to go," she says. She reflects on the life she has led as Azize, "an empty life in which hate reigned supreme."
Reyyan looks sadly at the photo of the sonogram. She wants to try to enjoy whatever time is left and try to prepare Miran for what's coming. [lots of luck]
The document (diagnosis/signed agreement) falls out of the pocket of Reyyan's coat. Reyyan picks it up and looks for a place to hide it. We don't immediately see where she puts it. She leaves, and she encounters Dilsah, who says she wants to talk to her. Dilsah asks for forgiveness for the way she behaved toward Reyyan. Reyyan tells her there's no need. Dilsah then claims that she wants to be closer to her. "If you ever have a problem you can't talk to Miran about, come talk to me." Reyyan thanks her and leaves. Dilsah is convinced that Reyyan is hiding something. She goes into Reyyan's room and starts going through her things but doesn't find anything. She sits down on a cushioned platform to think about where else she should look. I'm not sure how she decides to feel under the cushion, but she does and sure enough, she comes up with the medical document. She starts to read it as the episode ends.
Thanks all for your comments and feedback! I am right there with you wondering if the Prof impregnated his own daughter. It makes sense and if he really believed that Eric or Leon did it he would have jumped at the chance to have them take a DNA test, right? That's what he claims he wants! But no, he gets violent when Eric suggested it?? Yeah something super shady is going on there. My guess is Adela never even accused either of them and he was making it up to cover his own guilt! Yuck!!! This story line is dark!!!
Oh...my...goodness.Juanita , thank you for enduring every drop of this tale of woe and revenge and sorrow to bring us every detail.
Is Rey destined to die and go to her baby girl? Some cultures believe that a baby who dies pulls the mother to heaven When she dies. Would the writers be that cruel and make Rey a tragic figure in the story.
Yikes ..again with the surreal scene in white....again with the metaphysical swing . arghhh.
Man...woman...birth...death ....infinity . Dizis seem to be just another episode of Ben Casey .
I am ready for this exercise in suffering and malice to end and move on to something lighter. I am missing the antler bashing and jealousy of " La Hija."
Terrific recap of a topsy-turvey episode, Juanita. The highlight being Azat and Gonul.
I am a bit annoyed with Reyyan that she isn’t consulting this medical situation with Miran. Also annoyed with the doctor who insists on telling Miran. The doctor did say she “might” die, not that she “will” die, so what is this serious medical issue? Second opinions should be the norm for this situation but that would make things too easy and not give Miran time to throw a class A fit when he does find out.
Glad Azra came clean right away about being Fusun’s daughter and telling the truth about asking Azize not to say anything. Yikes, Dilsah is getting way scary. She does nothing but spy and eves drop on everything. What happened to her seeing a doctor?
My heart is softening a bit with Azize who really does seem repentant especially after hearing Hazar call her “mother” even in a spiteful tone. Mahmut bawling in the driver seat made me laugh.
Thanks again Juanita. I am sure we are in for some crying drama for a while.
Don Martin is happy to see the ranch is filled with people. Quintina asks him to settle down, but Norma encourages him to go dance. Albin, who is too handsome for his own good, comes to ask Norma to dance. Looking flustered enough to make us understand that she’s not completely unaffected by this dashing stranger’s interest in her, she eventually agrees. It’s not a slow dance, but they do seem to enjoy it quite a lot.
Muriel and JD are by the lake. She wouldn’t mind having to live here the rest of her life. JD says they’d have to share then. Muriel thinks this place is special, the pure air, the water color, the music of the place… And here comes the Fuentes family, never seen before, but suddenly all over the place, greeting JD warmly.
And then we’re back to the twins and the Prof in flashback.
They plan to leave him tied up in the sun, just like he did with his kids years ago. They slap him around and tell him they’re going for Adela, to explain them all why she made up such a lie.
Back in the present, Leon says he can still remember the Prof’s screaming as they left. Oscar is surprised they left him there, in that secluded place, Leon admits that at first it all seemed like a game to them.
But they never get to Adela’s house – they realize what they are doing and stop enjoying the “game”. The ¨Prof is an old dude and Erick is afraid something very bad might happen to him; besides, they are not like him! He decides to go back, against Leon’s wishes, but the Prof is no longer where they’d left him. They look around, call for him, and wonder if he fell to the river. But the water is dirty, they can’t see how deep it is. Erick throws a big rock inside, realizing it’s also deep enough to drown someone. He wonders if the Prof pushed himself to the lake, Leon says there are no traces in the dirt. Erick wants to figure out what happened, but Leon wants to go home already. Erick is afraid this could ruin them, they shouldn’t have left him here alone.
In the present they tell Oscar that days went by and rumors about the guy’s disappearance started to surface and the blackmailer called them.
Gaby arrives home from the hospital. Sara had been calling her a lot, asks about the boy. He’s doing better, but Gaby couldn’t see him, the doctors didn’t allow her to. Sara says she has a visit, Demetrio and Gabriela are inside and she knows that Gaby disapproves, but… Gaby doesn’t allow her mom to finish, she’s that upset. She goes straight to Demetrio, asks him what he’s doing there. Sara drags her out and calls her impolite. Gaby tells her she can’t stand him, but Sara asks her a bit of respect for Gabriela’s sake, maybe he’s not that bad. Gaby says she can’t interfere in her mom’s life, it’s her house, but don’t make her accept Demetrio, because she can’t stand the sight of him. Sara asks her daughter to accept him for her sake, but Gaby insists that’s impossible. Sara explains that basically she feels all alone at home, that’s why she invited her mom and a friend. Gaby wasn’t aware of her mom’s feelings, she will try to be with her more, but she can’t be nice to that guy, don’t force her. They hug.
Flashback to Leon working when he gets a call from the blackmailer, telling him he knows he and his brother killed the Prof. Back in the present, the twins explain how they pretended to agree to pay up and prepared a bag filled with paper, left it at an agreed upon spot and then hid in the bushes waiting for the guy to show up. Nobody ever came, but the next day when they went to get the bag back, they found it open. They assumed the guy was furious and that’s when he called Felix to tell him they were murderers.
Oscar says they are involved in something more serious than what he thought. What they did was very grave and they never told the authorities. Why didn’t they go to their parents or Aunt Sara? The twins say they were waiting for him, but Oscar doesn’t buy it, they’re big enough to know how serious the situation is. They need to find out who the blackmailer is and what is Adela hiding.
Romina is noticing that Oscar spent the entire day with those boys, maybe his nephews, but his wife is still not around. Madrina wonders if something happened to her – Romina would like to know, too.
The twins take Oscar to the abandoned ruins that give all of them the creeps. The boys show him around, including where they left the Prof. Oscar checks the video, wonders how he could get to the lake if he was tied up. And why would he go towards the lake and not towards the exit? He asks of they found the chair or the ropes, but they haven’t. Oscar decides that whoever took that video was somewhere farther away, and he eventually finds a spot near some walls that could hide whoever was filming. The twins realize someone could have been following them all the time, maybe someone who had a relationship with Adela; her amante? They need to find Adela! Oscar asks them some time to think of ways to help them.
JD and Muriel are having drinks with the Fuentes family, who is celebrating their wedding anniversary. The next day they plan to go on a trip for two months, but JD can keep coming whenever he wants, and bring his novia. (Love nest alert!) JD wants to correct them, but Muriel signals that it’s OK, she’s not upset. They put on some music and start dancing. JD is reluctant to dance with Muriel at first, but after some encouragement, the two unite hands and start slow dancing to the same Rosario soundtrack everyone falls in love to… how romantic! NOT!
Oscar has come to see Jimena. He kisses her hand and she wakes up. She realizes something is off, thinks it’s work and he doesn’t deny it. He’s trying to replace her, but there are things only she can solve. From his demeanor, she realizes something else is wrong – Oscar tells her they found strychnine in her blood, but where from? He thinks they should investigate, she feels this would complicate things, she didn’t eat anything out of the ordinary recently. She has no clue what could have happened, but she promises to take better care of her. She says Gabriela and Demetrio were around, but who she wants to talk to is Sarita.
Alone in the car, the twins talk about their innocence, but how can they prove it? Leon only wants to go home and have a good sleep. Erick thinks otherwise. They arrive home and get to work.
It’s night time and Juan has come back with a lot of gifts for the fair. He sees the party, Quintina says it has been going on all day – it’s Andres and some friends. The twins are asleep and JD is not home, but Norma has been partying, too. Juan goes to check it out and finds Norma chatting and laughing with the same guy from before. He says hello, but only Andres hears him at first. Then Norma comes, too, she wants to introduce Albin to Juan. Juan is polite, but if looks could kill…
Muriel is back home and her mom is waiting for her in her room. Where have you been all day and with who? She was worried, especially since Muriel doesn’t know the town. Muriel points out that she was never worried when they lived in the big city, Rosario says this town and these people are different. Muriel doesn’t want to tell her where she was at first, but then she explains that she celebrated an old couple, together and happy for 45 years, unlike her parents.
JD gets home, too. It’s late and people are leaving the ranch. He asks Quintina what happened, she explains it was a party. He doesn’t want to eat, just some coffee. He finds Norma and Juan alone, having wine and he tells them about knowing the Fuentes family very well. Juan and Norma are surprised they never knew their oldest son had such a strong connection to these neighbors they barely know. JD explains that’s where he ran off when he was a kid and wanted some time for himself. Now he takes care of their horses and yes, the Fuentes do care about him a lot. Juan realizes he spent the entire afternoon with them and JD admits it, and today was especially amazing, the most wonderful day ever.
Quick side note to say this scene does no favors to Juan and Norma as parents – they had no clue their first born was a close friend of some neighbors that he’s known ever since he was a child? Add to that everything that is going on with the twins and you have to wonder how they managed to drop the ball so badly?
Later that night, Norma is trying to sleep, but Juan asks about the twins. Norma says they were with Oscar all day, then they worked a bit and went to sleep. This worries Juan, but Norma is sleepy. She seemed happy with the visit, too, he adds. Norma admits that she had a good time with Andres’ friends. Juan asks about the guy she was with (Norma is smiling!), she says he’s very young, but attractive. Juan asks if she found him more attractive than him. Norma finally turns to Juan to tell him that he’s the most attractive man to her. Kissing ensues but Norma’s smile as she mentioned the young guy makes me wonder…
Oscar is alone in bed, thinking about a certain fight with Romina when she mentioned what would happen if Jimena died. Then he flashes back to the doctor’s poisoning diagnosis. He wakes up startled and hears a noise. He goes outside and runs into Berta, who heard the same noise. Oscar runs back inside for his gun. Slow motion of Oscar getting ready to go outside again, this time armed.
This is it! This was a good episode, I feel like the story is moving along nicely.
The differences between the twins are becoming more obvious. At first they were interchangeable clowns, now we can see they are quite different. While Erick seemed like the worse one of the bunch, we can now see that he has more of a conscience. Whenever they get into trouble all Leon ever wants to do is go home, eat and sleep. Erick is showing that he does have some brain in that pretty head of his, he just has to make the effort to use it properly.
I already mentioned it in the recap, but why are Norma and Juan such clueless parents? Because we wouldn't have a show otherwise? I Know, but still! JD's sudden connection with the Fuentes family is understandable, since I figure he grew up as a loner. His twin brothers did everything together, he probably felt left out, Andres had different interests (?), so that only left the childless, much older neighbors?
Sarita's story seems to be changing, too. She's all of a sudden willing to give Demetrio a chance, right in time for Franco's comeback, right? RIGHT?
I'm starting to wonder if this story will have a happy ending for Oscar. Between the way he treats his beloved nephews to the way he allows for his son to be mistreated, he hasn't done anything to win me over so far. Jimena and Norma were talking about adoption a while ago, I hope that doesn't mean that when all is said and done, she will agree to adopt Duvan and raise him with Oscar. I mean, I want her to adopt the boy and kick her husband to the curb, does that sound good? It's sad to see that a once fun couple is going through something so serious (and deadly) right now.
VVS, I got the chills when I saw Muriel's flashback - another abuse story? Wasn't Adela enough?
Darcy, growing up in JD's shadow must have been hard for the twins. And with a father like Juan, who has a hard time showing emotion and is not especially a smooth talker, it's easy to see why they'd direct their trust to a charmer like Oscar. Sadly for them, their uncle is a great exemple of something that glitters, but it's not gold - reckelss, hiding a huge secret that nearly cost him his wife's life and is in more trouble than he can even imagine - I suspect soon enough he will have no time to deal with Erick and Leon.
I'm with all of you, waiting patiently for Juan to start kicking some ass! And brush his hair a bit, that wouldn't hurt, either.
Thanks Adriana for another fantastic recap! I agree it was a good episode!
My only complaint is that it felt like they editorialized a little too much with the Eric and Leon flashbacks. We are really supposed to believe they came back to the ruins, found the Prof gone and automatically assumed he went into the water? Even speculated suicide??? Why?? My first assumption would have been he'd escaped (ie. Got untied somehow) and start looking for the man hiding somewhere or trying to walk back to town. It never would have occurred to me to assume the man was in the lake or that I was in trouble. It seems more like the writers trying to lead the audience than a reaction two young men would actually have.
I was frustrated with Sarita too, but to a lesser extent. I totally get feeling alone and lonely but she has her sisters, her grandfather, we've seen she gets along very well with her brothers-in-law, her staff, she's very personable and surely would make friends easily; she doesn't need Demetrio for anything. But I am all for speeding Franco's return!! Franco come back now please!!
You have a good point about Juan and Norma's parenting but I actually found the whole idea of JD's secret friendship with the Fuentes's to be odd. This is the same guy who hit a woman with his truck and walked around telling all the emergency workers, his mom, his dad, and whomever else 'I hit her with my truck' right away...this same transparent person has had a decades long secret friendship with the neighbors no one knew about?? I call BS! But oh well, it's a story I will suspend my disbelief. :)
Great recap, Juanita. Thank you.
Nice scene with Azat and Gonul. Glad Telemundo left it in.
Azize’s smile lit her face so sweetly even though she received a very insincere “anne” out of Hazar. Is she intending to kill herself? Maybe that’s why Mahmut cried like a baby and begged her to stay. I know she said she didn’t want to die before hearing Hazar call her mom. Afterwards she told Allah to take her life and make her pay for her sins.
I really can’t stand huffing and puffing cry-baby Miran. Rey can’t deal with him either. Can you imagine his reaction when he finds out Rey’s life is in danger if she goes through with the pregnancy? Will he pass out from hyperventilation before he can melt into a puddle?
Azize has a lot of nerve saying her goodbye with “helallik almaya”. She’s asking for helal (halal)—to be forgiven. And Miran answers in Turkish, you ask for helal like asking for water, but you can’t do a single thing I asked you to be forgiven. I lol’d when he scoffed about his “favorite” phrase: “there are things you don’t know”. If I had nickel for every time I’ve heard that one in a TN or dizi….
Stupid Yaren. Dead, manicomio or jail?
Devilish Dilsah is back. Wonder what she will do with the info.
Thanks very much, Susanlynn and VVS, for your very interesting comments.
Susanlynn, I was unaware that "Some cultures believe that a baby who dies pulls the mother to heaven." Do you mean right away, or years later when the mother dies? It's a nice thought, but only if you mean the latter. And I too am sick sick sick of this tale of seemingly endless woe and venganza. I can't wait for something cheerier, and more skillfully written, less repetitious. Oh well....
VVS, yes, the depiction of medical care in this dizi is disappointing. So far, the best medical care seems to have come from the woman who saved Miran (or was it Azat?) with herbs, chants, and fire, and from Azize, who saved one of Reyyan's twins with liquid from an herb. And I too am annoyed (actually, furious) with Reyyan for not telling Miran about the medical problem. I think I'd better turn down the sound on my TV for the next few days just in case Miran finds out. As for Dilsah, yes, she is getting scary, but frankly I don't blame her. It's certainly true that Reyyan was trying to get Miran to accept Azize, who has wronged Dilsah terribly. And not only that, Reyyan and Miran are trying to get Azize to help Fusun get her daughter back. Wow, if someone were trying to take my daughter and my son from me (and my son for the 2nd time!), I suspect I'd feel like killing that person.
I just hope that the writers can dig up some more herbs or chants or whatever to cure Reyyan and permit her to give birth to a healthy baby.
Juanita.....Great Recap.....need that!!!....We will be done by Ramadan ..Early April..InSha Allah!Hang in there...your recap is on point !

Many thanks, dondi356 and Halimacandy. I enjoyed your comments.
Dondi356, I don't know why I didn't see your comment before I posted my message to VVS and Susanlynn, but I didn't. I agree that the touching scene between Azat and Gonul was perhaps the best one in the episode. I wish it had been longer. And anything that can cause Miran to be quiet, even passing out from hyperventilation, is fine with me!
Halimacandy, I sure hope you're right about the dizi ending by the start of Ramadan. I was actually hoping the end would come with the start of Spring, but no such luck.
Thank you for a splendid recap Juanita! As commented before, I’m ready for some happy moments and am really over, revenge and crying and spitting and threatening and secrets and lying and especially CRAZY! I think that when writers don’t know what to do with a character they either make them crazy, kill them off, or hateful beyond redemption! I had hopes for Dilsah, just like I had them for Aslan and Harun……sighhhhhhhhhhhh……. Thanks for the happy Azat and Gonul!
ITA with the assessment of Midyat doctors, and the only thing I have to say to Reyyan is “2ND OPINION PLEASE! Sheeshmaneesh!!!
Gotta run! Thanks again for a most enjoyable recap Juanita!!!
Great recap Adriana! There’s so much I want to say and respond to the great points that were brought up, but time is not on my side!
…I know Norma loves Juan like crazy, but she was flirting like a woman out to catch!
…Both the dark twin story and the possibility of Muriel, too, being an abuse victim is just too much for me!
…Sarita accepting Demetrio because she’s lonely is BS! Besides her sisters, and her passion for the ranch, I’m sure that there are many charitable opportunities in San Marcos to keep her busy and to meet a really nice man! You can be alone and not lonely at the same time if you choose to do so! She’s gonna be really sorry like her mama when she finds out what a bottom dweller Demetrio really is!
…. It is very interesting that JD has whole nother side to him, being so close to Juan and Norma! I guess he needs “peace” too, and the ranch is a pretty busy, noisy place……
…. Believe it or not, the more I see Erick, the handsomer he gets! Beautiful eyes!
Thanks again Adriana!!
Season 2, Epi 85
Part I
Miran has partially brought into Azize’s reform since she kept her word about Fusun’s daughter. While he’s OK with her not being forced out of town…he’s not ready to tell her everything is fine and dandy…he’s only giving her a chance. Her continued pushing annoys him as he tells her to get out of the car and return.
Back at hope house…Reyan shares the good news with Azra... Azize kept her word so Miran stopped her from leaving town. They don’t realize that Dilsah in listening in…or that she’s spied Reyan’s letter from the hospital earlier.
At the olive grove…Firat is happy and confident. So much so he hugs Zeynep from behind and plants a kiss on her. Small talk leads to a revelation. Given a choice, Firat chooses love over peace or winning. He dreams of a large family…maybe because he grew up without a father. His contemplation about the future has Zeynep’s attention. Unfortunately, Fusun interrupts their moment with a call…demanding to meet. An offer he can’t refuse since he’s the object of the discussion. How can there be peace with people like her around…but love is still possible.
Hazar is tortured over having to tell Nasuf that he booted Azize out of Midyat. Nasuf is pissed that Hazar didn’t take anyone else into consideration and he storms off. Before he could get far, Miran returns with the news that Azize’s still in town.
Fusun’s meet up is about a power grab. She wants to keep the company leadership in the family since Azat has resigned. Firat should step up…he’s the only true male Aslanbey. But he’s not interested in sparring with Miran. Fusun scoffs at his loyalty and tries to plant seeds out doubt.
Azize’s stupid grin of hope is annoying as she tells Esma all about Miran offering her chance. …but it fades when Esma wants to know where Hazar stands. Not so much progress there….and she’s clueless about her next move….that’s never happened before.
Speaking of Hazar… he’s pissed about Azize still being around. Everyone around him is driving him crazy with their Azize support. Just because she did 1 thing right doesn’t fix all the wrongs she did in past. Every time he looks at Reyan or Dilsah it burns him up more and more. Miran didn’t mean to upset him…he thought keeping her close was smart move as oppose to having her linger as an enemy. They can do whatever they want but Hazar doesn’t forget that easily…he’s out. Nasuf consoles Miran…he did the right thing. Miran’s not so sure given the Hazar’s reaction…he didn’t’ mean to anger him. Reyan calms him….he did the right thing. Remember…they’re prepping a better world for Umut.
Later that night Azra rings Fusun....they need to meet. Meanwhile, Reyan starts a journal for baby Umut given it may or may not be their only time together (FF). She continues her thoughts on the terrace swing as Miran walks up with a cup of tea and blanket for her. Of course he misses her and needs to be with her all the time. Quality time …fond memories (FF).

Season 2, Epi 85
Part 2
Later in her PJs Reyan pulls out the hospital letter right as Miran walks in. Awkward moment… she has to lie and say it’s the letter she wrote for Umut…just in case something happens to her. Miran wont’ have her thinking like that. Sure…write to the baby if she wants but he doesn’t plan to spend one day without her. She doesn’t want to hear him talk like that…there’s Umut to think about.
Nasuf and Azize chat. Despite everything…he still loves her and doesn’t plan to lose her ever again. It’ll kill him.
Azra confronts Fusun who pleads her case and an opportunity to explain. She was waiting on the right moment to approach her. She didn’t know didn’t know her Gunesh was even alive. Gunesh marvels at her real name….agrees to chat…and doesn’t push Fusun away when she grabs her for a hug.
ReyMir chat in bed. Looks like Reyan in trying to prep Miran with important info. He can tell something’s wrong but she won’t fess up…just responds she loves him and needs a hug. The following morning the family at Hope house have breakfast when Firat calls Miran....they need to meet urgently. Another silly moment with Luftu....not letting Miran leave without finishing breakfast.
At the office, Firat starts the meeting to discuss the company’s future and capital needs when Miran walks in ….annoyed that the meeting started without him. And he doesn’t agree with the capital risk Firat is proposing, even though Firat insists they need it for future growth. Gonul and Azat agree with Miran…Cihan stays quiet …soaking it all in. Gonul thinks they need to get past the board election first. Firat has spent days working on the proposal and is annoyed that they dismissed it without even listening to the whole thing. Miran mocks that he should have asked them first and he wouldn’t have wasted him time working on something no one was interested in…he leaves.
Firat chases after him, insisting he at least hear him out. What did he do wrong. Well he came up with something without passing it by Miran first. Then he organized a director’s meeting without telling him first. How could he… Miran never has time for him. Miran counters he should have waited for his moment. They continue their spat outside, not knowing that Fusun is observing them contently from her car. She’s pleased with the “brotherly spat”. Firat points out that it’s not an issue when Miran handles his business on his own but he expects Firat to consult him on everything.
Jump to ReyMir at the foundation…taking care for various details I seems but this is where my tape cut off so please fill in for me here.
The end
Nett
Thanks very much, Nett, for your excellent recap of a far-from-excellent episode. I probably shouldn't even comment, since I've really lost almost all my patience with this dizi.
I can't decide whether the reason Fusun is such a wooden, uninteresting character is that the role is badly written or that the person playing Fusun is not very talented. Whatever the reason, I find Fusun rather boring. Even her meeting with Azra/Gunes was boring and unmoving. Her attempt to show emotion was unconvincing. The most interesting aspect of the meeting for me was Azra's stony expression when Fusun embraces her.
It seems that the writers are desperate to keep this dizi going long past its sell-by date. That's the only reason I can think of that we now have a falling out between Firat and Miran. Yes, Firat is probably justified to resent Miran's continuing to treat him like a subordinate, and Miran seems oblivious to what Firat is trying to tell him, but at this point, I simply don't care.
Nett, you asked what happened at the Foundation opening. You didn't miss much. The only people there were ReyMir, Firat and Zeynep, and, briefly, Zehra. At one point, Reyyan seems to feel ill. Zehra notices, goes over to Reyyan, and then leaves. Huh? The rest of the scene is more of the tension between Firat and Miran. Firat finally tells Miran that he should not continue to call him "brother" out of habit. "'Brother' means we're equals, not that one should always report to the other." Reyyan asks Firat and Miran to stop quarreling, they're acting like children. Firat agrees with her, and the episode ends. Yawn.
Thanks Nett for your very succinct recap! You covered everything that I saw, but didn’t see! I find myself tuning out at times, especially through the toothache scenes between Reymir, the constant “Azize this, and Azize that” by Hazar and Miran, the all of a sudden evil “intelligence” displayed by the previously humble and meek Dilsah, anything Fusun, and now this BS rift between Firat and Miran. They really need to WRAP THINGS UP!
I honestly can’t feel sorry or sympathy for any of these characters! There comes a point where you live and let live, and if you don’t want to have anything to do with a certain person, then DON’T! Hazar is letting Azize steal all his joy——-not that he really ever had any to begin with, and Dilsah Downer is doing everything that she can to ultimately destroy her newfound happiness with her son. The past can’t be recaptured! Deeds done are DONE! Now what are you going to do moving forward?!?! I think everyone in this dizi is just gonna wake up one day with an epiphany, and then it will be all hearts and flowers between these blockheads! Sadly, it may take Reyyan’s death to do that. The girl should still get a second opinion and not take one doctors diagnosis as the end all be all! Duhhhh! Aren’t these wealthy people!
Juanita I couldn’t agree with you more about the Fusun character! She’s like a wooden chess piece ♟ who’s only goal is “check and checkmate,” but the actual game of chess is a LOT more interesting than she is!
Miran and Firat——-SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP! Big YAWN!
Thanks again Nett! Much appreciated!
Thank you Nett for the recap. I agree with Juanita, you didn’t miss much at the end of the episode.
I think I prefer all the gun drawing and show-downs to all the tears and angst. Reyyan has a lot of people who care for her and would move mountains to make sure both she and Umut would have the best medical care possible. She needs to say something and soon. You said it Juanita, the best medical care we have seen is definitely from the tribal woman who saved Miran from two gunshot wounds with herbs and chanting.
I miss seeing Gul. I know dondi356 told us that her parents took her out of the cast due to COVID fears, but she did add some lightness to all this distress.
Fusun is not a good, evil replacement for Azize. I also noticed how cold Azra remained when that cold fish hugged her and wondered if Azra is cooking up her own revenge for Fusun abandoning her?
I do appreciate the time put in to all the recaps. Thanks again Nett.
Thank you, Adriana Noel for the Tuesday recap! I laughed at your comment about Juan considering a brush for his hair. He does have that caveman look down pat and it is clear that Norma adores him, not sure where his insecurity is coming from regarding the VERY handsome Albin.
The twins definitely demonstrated their differences in personality. I also think Eric is handsome when not acting like an arrogant ass.
Sarita giving in to her mother and Demetrio was disappointing. Why is she so lonely all of a sudden? Just because her mother tells her to considers getting to know Demetrio? Where is Franco? Someone, Juan or his kids need to know where he is. I understand him not being in contact with Sarita, but not his kids.
The highlight was watching Muriel and JD dancing with the friendly couple from the rancho next door.
Thanks again Adriana!
Oscar tells Bertha he couldn’t see anything outside and Berta reminds him that Jimena also heard something the other night. Oscar asks her not to mention this to his wife when she gets back from the hospital.
We see that Romina sent Duvan to try to get into the house, but he couldn’t and almost fell and got hurt. Romina scolds him, he says he believes someone might have seen him. She doesn’t care that he got hurt, but at home she puts some lotion on his cut and encourages him to try to break into the house again. Duvan thinks they could end up in jail, but Romina couldn’t care less.
The next day the twins are working and talking about how they left the prof to die. They wonder if they should have told Oscar about their problems, he has plenty to deal with already. Eric thinks they should go back to that town to find Adela -tomorrow, early in the morning. But Leon reminds him they need to work for the fair. Eric insists, mentions Nino’s family and Leon realizes his brother wants to see that girl again. They both hope Nino gets well soon.
Nino is in the hospital when the cop who put him in jail comes to see him. He wants Nino’s statement about the attack, did he see anyone or anything? No, Nino couldn’t realize who it was and nobody ever threatened him before. The cop asks if this could be someone from his old gang, but Nino won’t talk. The cop reminds him that he could have died, seems like he genuinely wants to help, but Nino is scared, he needs to protect his family.
Sarita has come to see Jimena, apologizing for not coming sooner, she’s been very busy. She will participate at the fair contest, too, so both Jimena and Oscar encourage her to go prepare. But Sarita wants to stay with Jimena, help her. Jimena is unconcerned, she’s feeling great, and she has Berta.
Oscar is called outside by Felix. He says he’s worried after their last talk, but Oscar says this is not the time or the place. Felix at least wants to know if Adela is alive, but Oscar insists they should talk at night.
Gabriela and Sarita talk about her participation at the fair, but Sarita is not as excited as other years, says things will be different. They talk about one of the horses, Gabriela mentions that none of her kids are around to help – Andres is obsessed with music and Gaby is helping shady people. She notices Demetrio, who’s coming over. Sarita is not happy to see him, but she can’t ignore him. Gabriela says she doesn’t need him, but is sure Sarita would. Then Gabriela leaves, whishing her daughter luck.
Sarita says she doesn’t need his presence, but Demetrio insists to accompany her.
The twins found some ranch hands to replace them the next day, so they can go back to that town. They run into their dad and can’t evade his questions. What the Hell is going on with the two of you, asking for others to do your jobs, getting drunk… I won’t tolerate this anymore, we have a successful business because we have rules to obey. He also adds that they need to participate at the big rancher dinner that night, whether they like it or not.
Then he asks what happened when they were with Oscar. He warns them not to ask for his brother’s help, he will only cause them more trouble. He has to protect them and he feels something odd is happening now, something related to the death of the teacher.
At the same time Oscar and Felix are talking. Felix wants information about Adela, Oscar wants to know who’s in charge of the murder investigation first. Thinks they should combine forces. He asks about the places she visited or her friends, but Felix says she spent all day at home. Oscar insists, mentioning a guy on a motto, Felix gets defensive, realizes Oscar is only trying to help his nephews and asks him to get out of his bar.
Sarita and Demetrio talk about Sarita getting second place in the competition (that happened off screen, I presume). She’s not too upset about losing, but he keeps complimenting her virtues, making her feel uncomfortable. He apologizes, he knows she had a hard time forgetting her ex, but why not think about her for a change – beauty, brains, all her life before her. Sarita tells him she’s not interested in any type of relationship, she can never love again. Demetrio says you never know, your ex must have been very handsome, right? Yeah, he was unique, I could never replace him!
Gaby arrives, reminding her mom about the dinner tonight and ignoring Demetrio completely. Sarita tells him she has to go, Demetrio asks to meet again, but she just says good night.
JD is getting dressed, Quintina says he’s very handsome, helps him with his belt. The guests are arriving, he hopes there won’t be too much drinking, because they have a lot of work to do in the morning.
Oscar is at home, doesn’t feel like going to the party, since Jimena just got out of the hospital. She thinks he should go, but he’d rather stay with her, they’ve been to plenty of similar dinners before. She needs to rest and he’s staying with her. Berta comes with a tray and Jimena asks if there was any noise in her absence. Berta says no and when Oscar leaves, Jimena asks her about Duvan.
Demetrio sees Duvan alone in the town center and looks at him strangely. Romina has been searching for him, mentions she left him alone because she went to see a fortune teller. She’s had a fight with her, but she needs her help.
At the Bar, Andres is texting and telling Muriel about his off day. He has other friends, but nobody as special as she is. Muriel says she had an amazing day, too, the best day of her life. She won’t say who she spent it with, Andres hopes that whoever it was will protect and love her. Muriel would like to talk to him when he gets the chance, but not tonight, she’d rather avoid more conflicts with her mom.
The party is starting and Juan notices Albin is here. Norma is happy to see him, welcomes him warmly. The president of the ranchers association makes a toast, mentions Albin, the famous rider who participates at the fair this year. Juan doesn’t look happy as he watches Norma smiling at Albin.
Some girls are getting into a fight in town. Demetrio observes and tries to pick up one of the girls. Like the guy wasn’t creepy enough…
Leon tells Eric they won’t be able to go to the town the day after. Gaby comes to tell them Nino is feeling better, but still in the hospital. They’d like to talk to Nino about getting his family out of that town. Gaby can help, but she wants to go with them to that place.
Juan takes Sarita and JD aside to tell them he had no clue who Albin Duarte was. Sarita knows about his reputation, JD thinks he’s a good guy… They all watch him chat to Norma who’s all smiles. Sarita realizes Juan is jealous, JD says he has nothing to be afraid about.
At the Bar, Rosario is doing her performance while Muriel is observing. At home JD calls her. He was thinking about her, she says she can’t wait to see him at their secret refuge again.
When the show is over Rosario goes back to her room. She tells Gunther she’s upset with Muriel acting so superior. She has been strange ever since her secret outing, Gunther suggests she might have met someone. But why would Rosario be affected, Muriel knows what she’s doing. Yeah, but Rosario would like to know who she’s hanging with… Gunther thinks it could be a friend of Andres. Panchita is happy there are plenty of people outside, Rosario warns they could get dangerous.
Demetrio is strangling the girl he picked up before (after he’d just raped her, going by her clothes). Then she pushes her to the water and goes back to his car. The girl managed to scratch his face, which enrages him.
Albin has come at the Bar and Andres greets him warmly. Rosario observes them, then goes to ask Gunther about Muriel. He says she’s in her room, sleeping and Rosario plans to do the same thing. She doesn’t care to go out with Andres’ friends, they are not her type. Gunther asks who her type is and Rosario says he knows all too well what she likes.
The next morning Norma is exercising by the pool, when the ranchers who likes her comes to tell her Rosario is here. He saw her try to get inside the stables, but he didn’t ask who she was searching for.
Norma finds Rosario and they get into a fight when Norma realizes Rosario has come to search for JD. Her motives are rather obvious, Norma doesn’t like it one bit, so she asks Rosario to leave her family alone and get the Hell out from her land.
Here it is, folks! They are laying in on thick with the creep factor here. Demetrio is now a rapist/ murderes, too. Just what this town needed.
Muriel might have been abused as a child.
Adela and Felix have been abused their entire lives.
The twins tortured that old bastard.
Duvan is having a miserable life with his mother.
These are just the big issues that come to mind, I'm sure there are plenty I forgot. There is not one bright spot light in this show, nothing fun, no comic relief...
Nett, thanks for another great recap of this slow moving tragedy on wheels . I have also been reading your comments and recaps of Amor Eterna .
We just keep going around and around here. Angrybangs' ongoing hissyfits. Firat in luvve and finally getting tired of being Miran's babysitter\ wingman \second banana.
As for Fusun, I am having fun watching her scowling , angry face in Kurulus Osman . In the last episode I watched , she was mounting a horse and engaged in a swordfight..both unsuccessfully . She looked kind of terrified at both tasks . It's hard to look menacing when you seem scared of actually getting hurt in real time.
Thank you for your recap Adriana! Well done and you are so right!! Dark, dark, dark story all around! As if there isn’t enough evil and sexual perversion in this world, San Marcos has its lion’s share! Nothing, besides the love between Juan and Norma——-which may be about to take a beating, the love between Oscar and Jimena——-which definitely will take a beating, and the growing romance between JD and Muriel, that will surely be tested! All the storylines are depressing, and I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel anytime soon.
We all knew Demetrio was a disgusting human being, but a rapist and murderer! EWWWWWW! No matter what his back story might be, he’s unredeemable and needs to die a slow, tortuous death! Rosario needs to stop baring those horns of hers cause it’s making her seem like a horny older woman looking for sexual gratification from a young buck. I know she hides behind this supposed “connection” between her and JD, but you can’t have a one sided connection. JD and Muriel have had more meaning in their brief relationship than ever happened between him and Rosario. I’m glad Norma is onto Rosario, and is putting her in her place! The nerve of Rosario to ask Norma where she can find JD like she has rights to him! She’s sickening!
There are no words for Romina, but Demetrio was looking at Duvan like he was his son! Who knows with Romina?!?! She’s definitely on the. “easy” side! Really, though, I hope Duvan is not related to him!
We need some “lightness” to this story ASAP!
Thanks again Adriana! Great recap for a not so great episode……..
Muchas gracias Adriana! Another fun fantastic recap!
You said it perfectly: 'They are laying in on thick with the creep factor here. Demetrio is now a rapist/ murderes, too. Just what this town needed.
Muriel might have been abused as a child.
Adela and Felix have been abused their entire lives.
The twins tortured that old bastard.
Duvan is having a miserable life with his mother.' and I am afraid we will have to add Adan (the farm worker) and whatever his intention with Norma to the list! I have had a bad feeling about that guy since his first appearance and Norma seemed completely freaked out by him suddenly showing up when she was exercising. Probably for good reason!
This is getting more than dark, it's pitch black!!! We need some relief soon!
Glad at least Jimena is recovered! And the twins are behaving like normal human beings at least. If we are going to have villains like Demetrio, Romina, and Prof Carreño, not to mention whomever actually did murder that creep; and an abundance of horrible crimes, we need good strong heros to root for none of these too flawed heros that have become too common lately!
Juan was 1000% percent right about Oscar and the twins but of course they don't realize it or appreciate it. Oscar is only going to get them in more trouble.
At least Sarita wasn't charmed by the Criminal/Rapist/Murder! Speaking of heros, FRANCO! Please come back quickly and protect Sara was this creep! And speaking of creepy, did everyone notice how that girl Demetrio picked up had a resemblance to Gabby? I even now 700 times more worried about this guy's obsession with Gaby!! Horrible
I really hope they find some balance in this soon and don't go even further bleak with this. They way they paint this town it's a wonder anyone ever makes it through the day alive!
Thanks for the recap, Nett.
Really liked Firat and Zeynep in the olive grove. Too bad Fusun is poisoning his mind against Miran.
ReyMir were drinking “boza”, a fermented drink made with millet.

I don’t think that was the opening of the Foundation, just some final preparation for the event. We will probably witness the eventful event tonight.
ITA, Juanita, about the Azra/Fusun meeting. I wanted to hear how Fusun was going to explain the “things you don’t know” to Azra. Azra looked a bit shocked when Fusun embraced her and took a good sniff.
“I think I prefer all the gun drawing and show-downs to all the tears and angst.” ITA, VVS, I find those hilariously entertaining.
Dilsah is a wild card.
Hang in there folks, we’re in the middle of Turkish ep 61 out of 69. I haven’t seen any promos for the replacement yet.
