Some days of the week after the next one [25-29/4, right after the (Orthodox) Easter], I won't be able to recap. I don't know if I will even be able to check the recaps. I'm informing you guys so you can talk days for recapping (*looks at Adriana and Darcy*).
HERCAI 2 - #100 – Parte 1 de 3
Last night, at least on the West Coast, one of those review episodes was shown. Mostly it was Dilsah’s Greatest Hits: refusing to accept Miran as her son, threatening Reyyan, stabbing Azize, telling Reyyan AT HER WEDDING that she should let Azra raise Umut. But something that was shown confirmed something for me. Not sure why they did it, but Ghost Dilsah, who appeared once sitting beside Miran and was such a memorable character, was not portrayed by the same actor as the one playing the Red Menace.
So…the Red Menace, in the car on her way to the nuthouse, gets in some mournful comments. She regrets having changed from the Dilsah Hazar had in his memories. She tells Hazar she’s sure he’s always asking who this woman is. “She’s not my Dilsah. She wouldn’t have even hurt a bird. You are right. This Dilsah died when she was locked up in a room for years. You have no idea how much I regret not being that woman.”
Then we hear Dilsah’s internal thoughts. She remembers telling Miran she’s crying from happiness. Because soon they will go somewhere far away. But don’t tell anyone about this.
Miran, Hazar and Dilsah arrive at the clinic. Outside she asks if they’ll leave her here another 25 years. Hazar and Miran try to convince her it's for her own good. She tries every ploy, saying that Hazar could not save her so many years ago. Now he should keep his word and not leave her here.
Hazar has left his Hazard personality behind for this episode. He tells Miran he and Dilsah will speak alone. He takes her into what will be her room. He reminds her of what she said to him all those years ago when he was ready to refuse to go into the Army because of her. She told him to be patient. La paciencia es amarga, pero su fruto es dulce. (Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.)
Miran approaches to listen to his parents. Hazar: “You will have patience, Dilsah. You must stay here until you’re better. Your family is waiting for you, also your grandson. I want you to be happy. I could not get to you in time to save you. I regret this.” Dilsah tells him he did what he could and has nothing to blame himself for. “This is our destiny, not to smile together.” He tells her he’ll visit her all the time. And, when she tells him “Hazar, I’m well now”, he’ll bring her home. They embrace. Miran enters to hold his mother. She seems resigned.
We get a sort of woo-woo scene of Hazar and Miran leaving the house in the village where the actor portraying the one I call The Real Dilsah waves at them.
Miran broods outside the nuthouse, and Azize comes to sit by him. He asks her if she had a chance to live a different life… She replies that she’d never have taken vengeance against innocent people, much less against a small child. She’d give anything for it to have been different. “You were a very small child, and perhaps you don’t remember your mother well.” Miran: “She had a big heart. She wouldn’t have harmed even a worm, much less Reyyan. She was sweet, but her face was always sad. “
Azize: Yes, that’s how she was. She was an angel. She loved your father and always cried. Do you know why I think I didn’t die in that fire? It was a test for me. God said to stay on your path. If you have patience, I will be at your side. But if you keep hate in your heart, desire for revenge, this knife that you yourself sharpened will end up destroying your soul. I set a trap, wanting to separate a father and son, but this wasn’t right. It turned out that this father was part of me and his son as well. If only I could turn back time, but it’s too late.” She gets up and leaves. Miran: “If only.”
HERCAI 2 - #100 – Parte 2 de 3
Reyyan is packing to go to Istanbul. She packs some baby clothes. She tells Umut not to be sad; they’ll return together. Miran comes in and tells her he thought about the mother he remembered the whole way there. “Where did that woman go? She became this way because she suffered so much.” MeRan mopes in their bedroom causing Reyyan to have to comfort him.
Zahra and Hazar talk on the rooftop patio. She’s gloomy. He tells her that Reyyan is strong. He’s certain she’ll come back and Zehra should not think the worst. He also tells her that Mahfuz needs to know about all this. Zehra gets huffy. “Reyyan is YOUR child.” Hazar: “When someone repents and wants to make up for the past, we should not castigate them further. Let him win our daughter’s heart."
Zehra asks how it went with Dilsah. He tells her that she felt awful when she saw the place. And, again leaving Hazard in the dust, he tells her not to feel offended because he feels badly about Dilsah. “If I am honest, Dilsah is my youth, my first love. I thought she died. I cried for her. But now I feel responsible for what happened to her. Also, she’s the mother of my son. But I do know what I feel. If God gave me another life to live, I’d spend it with you. I know I don’t say it often, but I love you with my whole life, Zehra.”
Zehra looks very happy. She tells him that, if sha had a thousand lives, she’d spend them all with him. “You’re my only love, my confidante, my best friend, my everything.”
Miran tells Reyyan he dreams of coming back here with the three of them together. She tells him to cling to that thought while they’re in Istanbul. She also tells him she wanted the hostility to end, and it happened (except for the old Gasbag).
ReyMir come down the stairs and see Hazar, Zehra, Azra, Nasuh and Azize waiting for them. Smiling happily Reyyan says they’ve become a real family. Azize tells Reyyan that she reunited the family and took the lump from their throats. “Bless you.”
Firat, Zeynep and Esma arrive. They say they’re coming along. Hazar asks them to wait for a momet, and Mahfuz comes in. Mahfuz would like to come, but can’t right now. Let him know when things are farther along.
Azize takes Azra into the kitchen. “What’s up?” Azra tells her that Fusun wanted to take her to live with her. Azize isn’t surprised by this. “What else? You look scared.” Azra tells her that Fusun said she’d harm the people around her. Azize reminds her that they made a pact. But now they need to be careful, because there’s a powerful demon named Fusun. “We’ll find a way.” Azra says that she could hurt someone, someone in my family. “You focus on Miran and Reyyan. Fusun is my problem.”
The family, including Mahfuz, are in the street, saying one last goodbye. Miran teases Hazar for having said he’d miss his daughter, instead of his son who’s like a mountain. Hazar whispers in Miran’s ear that he’ll check in on Dilsah, and not to worry about her. Mran tells him he’s lifted a weight from his shoulders.
HERCAI 2 - #100 – Parte 3 de 3
Handan tells Bad Toupee that Reyyan will give birth in a hospital in Istanbul. She says that sometimes Zehra irritated her, but she does love her. She wanted to wish them a safe trip. “Don’t you want to do the same? It’s your brother and your sister-in-law, after all.” He says that Reyyan’s health is one thing, but Miran is his enemy. While Cihan is telling Handan his usual pile of you-know-what, Hazar comes in. Hazar overhears Handan mention that he (Cihan) let Miran overhear that Fusun poisoned Reyyan. And he didn’t mind if Miran killed everyone at the Aslanbey konak. She reminds him his daughter lives there. Hazar leaves without their having noticed him.
We see ReyMir arrive in Istanbul. We get another view of the Bosphorus, so blue. Miran writes in a notebook and teases Reyyan with not letting her see what he’s writing. Firat, Zeynep, Azra, and Zehra arrive also, in a different car. Azra texts Azize, asking if all is well.
Azize arrives at the Aslanbey konak to confront Fusun. “You told Azra you’d take her by force. Why?” Fusun: “This is between my daughter and me. Who do you think you are coming here to interfere?” Azize: “I am her auntie, the woman who cared for her after you left her with her father. Do I need to remind you again? You won’t touch a hair on her head because Azra is under my protection.”
Hazar storms in. He points a gun at Fusun’s chest telling her that everything that happened to his children was her fault.
Yaren sees this and runs to call Cihan, who tells her to stay in her room.
Azize , a true citizen of Midyat, fires a gun in the air. She tells Hazar he needs to think of his family. He tells her to buzz off. She says that she’s here for her son, just like he’s here for his. “This woman wants to destroy our family, son. Don’t dirty your hands with her.” He replies that he’ll take the risk. Azize replies that she suffered her whole life for revenge. Hazar should not make the same mistake. Hazar says that this woman killed his grandchild before it was even born.
Azize: “This woman has nothing to lose, but we do. Don’t stop for me; stop for your father. He couldn’t bear your becoming a killer.” He insists he’s going to shoot Fusun, who looks like she believes him. Then Azize puts the gun to Fusun’s head and says she’s the only one who ought to pay. “Lower your gun. Either we both leave here with clean hands, or I’ll kill Fusun. You decide.”
Got it Weirdo, Adriana and I will work out the recap schedule for the 25th through the 29th, no worries.
Darcy, I think Weirdo meant the 2nd of May week - that's the week after the Orthodox Easter. I'll be away for part of the week, too, but I'll be able to to at least one recap.
We'll talk about it later, when I'm sure of my plans and Weirdo confirms what weeks she's talking about :)
Albin and Andres manage to find Muriel before the two goons grab her. They take her to Albin’s house and promise to always be by her side. She is very shaken up, Albin can’t believe that a mother could do such a thing to her child. He offers his house to Muriel, but she doesn’t want to impose; but Sarita did invite her to live at her ranch once… Andres smiles, he thinks this is a great idea.
Gunther and Panchita have given Rosario a very powerful sedative and she’s now asleep. They are both worried for Muriel, they called the cops and are still waiting to see if Andres finds her. But Gunther seems to be more worried about what Samuel Caballero will do when he finds out what is going on. At this point maybe it’s time we see this big bad Samuel, he can’t be worst that the creepy San Marcos residents.
JD is home, calling Muriel to see what is going on with her. But there is no answer so he even tries to reach Gunther, who realizes he’s only calling to ask about the girl, so he doesn’t answer. Juan asks JD to come and eat, thinks his worry about Muriel is just what lovers do.
The twins call Oscar, they’ll drop by the next day to visit tia Jimena and talk. Alone, the boys concoct something rather sinister (like usual), if I got it right they plan to go against the blackmailer on their own. It’s high time they started acted like grown-ups, they say. The only question is (theirs, not mine) who will pull the trigger.
Oscar is home, thinking about the talk he had with the doctor about Jimena possibly taking drugs and then about his chat with Madrina, about her being able to help him get rid of Romina. Jimena asks him what’s on his mind, he says he’ll get rid of the people living on their property in a month and then he will demolish the house. Jimena gets anxious, he doesn’t want to cause any harm to Duvan or his parents.
Muriel is welcomed with open arms by Sarita and Gaby. Smiles all around, Sarita invites Andres and Albin to stay for dinner – her approval of their relationship is official.
It’s morning and Romina is going out. She asks Duvan to close all the doors behind him, hide the key and go to school – all alone. And if he dares go to Jimena’s house, she will chain him; and don’t talk to strangers, also.
Norma tells Quintina she wants to go for a ride, enjoy the sunny day. Adan sees her go and follows her.
Tiny Abby gave Muriel some of her clothes and they fit perfectly! LOL
Muriel spent the night in Andres’ room, which is of no concern for Sara because he’s never at home anymore. Both Gaby and Sarita try to cheer her up, saying that surely Rosario is looking for her, worried sick. Sarita is sure that Rosario will be sorry for what she’s done. Muriel asks to borrow a phone and calls JD to tell him where she’s been staying; she’s OK, but she’d like to see him soon. JD promises to be with her as soon as he can. Juan comes over and JD lets him know what happened. Juan encourages his son to go search for Muriel.
Rosario wakes up with a startle. She asks for Muriel immediately, goes searching for her in the room, but Muriel is nowhere to be found. Gunther reminds her how she threw her daughter out like a dog. Rosario remembers their fight, she thought it had been a nightmare.
She searches for Muriel in the entire house, thinks she was justified in her abuse because Muriel needs to learn to obey. She imagines Muriel can’t be too far, she didn’t have anything to go by. Panchita and Gunther refuse to continue helping her, since she threw her daughter out all on her own.
Norma has gone to check out Romina’s house; she arrives, speaks up to see if someone is around and finds the front door open. She goes inside, still speaking, calling for someone to answer her and then she finds Duvan. He begs her to leave, Norma tells him who she is, says his friend Jimena worries a lot about him. She’s not bad, as his mom says, can she talk to her? No, Duvan says he’s all alone and if he leaves the house, his mom will chain him like she did before. Norma asks for his dad then and Duvan says dad doesn’t live there. What’s your parent’s name? Norma asks.
Duvan manages to push Norma out of the house and closes the doors. Norma tries to reassure him several times, begs for him to open. Adan shows his face and Norma accuses him of following her. He says the people living here are dangerous, he’s trying to protect her (not false). Norma mentions the small child living inside, but Adan insists he wants to take care of her and pushes her against a tree, trying to kiss her.
Romina arrives just then, hits Adan with her gun and accuses them both of being thieves. She asks about her son, call for him and he comes outside saying Norma is Jimena’s sister. Romina asks what she’s doing here, Adan explains who Norma is and that he’s here to defend her. He gets into it with Romina, they do have a history these two, but Norma shuts them up and asks Romina to stop threatening them with a rifle or else!!
Muriel is eating with Sarita and Gaby. She’s still upset but feeling a bit better after speaking with the person she wanted to talk to. She explains how stubborn is her mother and how she intends to defend her dreams and her feelings no matter what. Gaby agrees! Sarita glares at her daughter a bit, but promises to help Muriel.
Later Muriel and Sarita are picking flowers when JD arrives. Muriel jumps into his arms and Sarita smiles from ear to ear. Wow! She says and is very happy for them. Alone with Muriel, JD asks what happened. Muriel explains the whole thing, JD promises to protect her, too and asks her to come stay at his house. But she won’t, they need to take it slow.
Panchita and Gunther try to get Rosario to have another sedative. Gunther says they already called the police about Muriel. Rosario thinks Muriel should be the one to back down and ask for her forgiveness. Gunther and Panchita both look fed up by her madness, Gunther suggests that she think about what she’s going to tell her husband. Rosario looks scared. Did this guy abuse her when they were together? In a shos like PDG 2 that seems so tame.
Romina allows Norma in the house and asks Duvan to go to his room. Neither Norma nor Romina want Adan present during their talk. LOL
“Did you come to help Oscar get me out of here?
No, Jimena my sister is very worried for you, your husband and your
I have no husband, but I should have one and live with him and our son. “
Norma says she only wants to help, Romina asks why she’s interfering. Norma asks about her name again, wonders if she and Duvan live all alone. Romina says it’s none of her business, but she wants to make it clear that she won’t allow Norma or Oscar to throw her out – and Oscar knows why.
What about Jimena, does she know? Norma asks.
Nope, but she doesn’t care about any of them, all she cares about is the fact that they can’t drag her out of this house and away from these lands.
Norma goes outside and asks Adan to leave immediately. But they don’t go straight home, they stop on the road.
Norma calls Adan out on what happened between them. He tries to lie, saying he was trying to defend her from Romina’s attack, but Norma is not buying it. She forbids him to ever approach her again, or she’s telling Juan and he’s fired.
Respect me, I’m your patrona! Adan is speechless, for once.
Sarita talks with JD and Muriel. She asks JD to think things through, taking Muriel to his place is not prudent for now. Muriel is in HER house, she will be safe. They don’t need any more problems right now. And JD needs to talk to his family first. Muriel says her mom won’t be able to force her to go back with her, she won’t even dare after what she’s done.
Romina leaves again, she plans to see Madrina and Duvan has to stay home. The boy wants to go to school and Romina finally agrees to take him. Arriving at Madrina’s creepy house of witchcraft and her grandchild opens the door. She’s not impressed with the guy, but she’s come to ask for something from Madrina. Romina needs a spider, a black widow or something similar. Because I assume serpents are out of season.
Wow, thanks VERY much, novelera, for this excellent recap. You've captured the actions and the spirit of the episode with admirable efficiency. I also appreciate your including the Spanish about patience being bitter but the fruit is sweet.
Ah, so the person shown several times with Miran and Hazar at the village house was Ghost Dilsah. I found those appearances rather confusing, since they didn't really occur in the presence of Hazar and Miran. I'm not really sure what the point was. Part of the "if only" theme that ran through the episode? Blech.
I found Dilsah's sudden reasonableness in the car somewhat hard to believe. I suppose we're intended to see that her old, soft, tender self is still there and thus can be restored??
I enjoyed your saying "Hazar has left his Hazard personality behind for this episode." Yup. Indeed, the episode was filled with people exhibiting their split personalities. Dilsah, Hazar, Zehra, and Handan come immediately to mind. But not Me-Ran, as you point out. He mopes in the bedroom, and his possibly dying wife has to comfort him.
And yes, we get yet more of Azize's regret and repentance. ¡Ya basta! Also, why was she at the manicomio? Just so she could deliver her umpteenth mea culpa?
Perhaps my favorite line in your recap is "Azize, a true citizen of Midyat, fires a gun in the air." And are we to believe that she always carries a gun with her, in true Midyat fashion?
Yes, well, as I'm afraid is apparent, I wasn't a great fan of the episode. But you captured it all perfectly. Many thanks once again.
Your recap is fantastic Adriana, thank you!! I am at work and haven't watched yet but I had to stop and comment because this: 'Romina needs a spider, a black widow or something similar. Because I assume serpents are out of season.' is so funny!!! Lol and unbelievably creepy as far as Romina's intent, but I will think about that later! Love it!! :)
Great recap as always, Adriana!
Romina doing another good deed? Hitting Adán with her gun? Is she sick or something? Actually, she threatened to chain Duvan up, so she's alright.
Can't Norma just fire Adán already? Even my keyboard suggested "Adán" after "fire" lol! (I'm on mobile.) My keyboard learns faster than Norma, I guess.
"Serpents are out of season." LOVE IT! Romina has enough venom to be a snake herself, getting one wouldn't make much sense. XD Whoops! I insulted the actual snakes!
I should clarify about the dates when I won't be able to recap. I won't be available during the 25-29/4 period. What might have confused you, Adriana, is the fact that I said "after the Orthodox Easter". I actually meant from the next day after the day of the Orthodox Easter (this year it's on 24/4), not after both holiday weeks are over.
So, let me sort this out:
25-29/4: I won't be able to recap, maybe not even be on the website.
2-6/5: Adriana won't be able to recap that much, but she's definitely going to write 1 recap.
I think that's correct. If either Adriana or Darcy have something to add to this, feel free to do so.
'Romina doing another good deed?' LOL That is exactly what I was thinking when I watched it!!! Wow, that was scary. I wish Norma would fire Adan but I have a feeling he would get more dangerous if she did - nothing to lose. Man that guy gives me the creeps!!
Adriana, you have an excellent point about how bad can Samuel be in comparison to the people in this town!!! No kidding! The writers are overselling the creep factor in this town, how bad could this Sam guy really be? Gunter looked like a totally creepy ghoul too until he moved to San Marcos, now he sort of resembles Mary Poppins.
I didn't pay enough attention to the twins, I didn't think they were planning something sinister, I thought they just wanted to lay a trap for the blackmailer so they could figure out who he or she is...I guess I hadn't thought much about what they would do with the knowledge once they had it. Are they really planning to shoot? Or is it a figure of speech? LOL Hard to know with this crazy show. They should have a dance off!!! This show could use a good dance off.
Novelera, I am late to the party, but I wanted to thank you for all the dramatic details .I can't watch this show right now, so I'm especially appreciated your recap.
Another GREAT one novelera! Thank you! Seems we got our overdose of Dilsah here too, on the East Coast. I didn’t expect them to pay homage to her the way that they did, but I guess she was significant in her own right as 1st love, mother and daughter. She just lost her marbles along the way and her “red” side showed up in a most ugly way! Hope better days are ahead for you Dilsah you devil!
All the sugar oozing out of Miran and Reyyan last night gave me a toothache! I dig some sappy, but their sap runneth over, and it becomes a bit much. Glad there’s hope for Rey and Umut though. I don’t think that the writers would be going to these lengths in their journey if they were planning for Reyyan to lose the baby. I do like how the family is rallying around them in their time of need though…
I really dug Hazar reinforcing his love and commitment to Zehra, but my oh my what a BUZZKILL Zehra is!! Her sourpuss and negative statements make me want to take a hot poker and permanently etch a smile on her face while sealing her mouth shut at the same time! Remember to remind me not to invite her to the party!! Talk bout DEBBIE DOWNER!!
Love, love love your comment about the “ true citizen of Midyat!” Hahaha! No truer words were ever spoken! Lol! Honestly though, please make somebody a MURDERER and off that gas bag Fusun! I am so sick of everyone going back and forth with her, yet she still lives to tell about it and come up with more endless threats! If threats were urine, there’s no telling how many toilet bowls she’d fill!! Go away Fusun!
Someone mentioned not too long ago that they had a bad feeling about Hazar…… me too…..
Thanks again novelera 😊
Much gracias for your recap Adriana! Seems like quite a bit happened in this episode! Adnan is disgusting, and yes Norma needs to fire him! She should shank him first though——-where it’ll do the most damage.
So they had to put an already impaired Rosario down like a sleeping dog, huh? Didn’t stop her from making her demands when she woke up though huh? She’s a pitiful excuse for a mother…….
“ I assume serpents are out of season!” Lololol! Romina gives serpents a bad name! She needs a serious beatdown, and I hope Norma, Sarita and Jimena give it to her! Mess with my sister! Then they need to put some decent clothes on her, do her hair and make up her ugly face so that she doesn’t recognize her own self! That’ll kill her alright, lol. Duvan will have a lot of love in his corner——-after the sisters kick Oscar’s stupid ass too!
Your comments and the vision of JD and Muriel in my head made me smile. I’m rooting for them!
Thanks again Adriana! I will continue to lurk behind the scenes, lol……
Darcy, I think Adan won't be fired until he goes completely off the rails. Pushing Norma against a tree and trying to kiss her is the equilavent of school children holding hands in the world these people live in.
Oh, we had such high hopes for Gunther, right? Thinking that he was going to be one of the big bads? As it turns out, he's just Rosario's very own Quintina (or Mary Poppins - good one!), since he's basically dealing with a bunch of children while the master - Samuel - is away).
The reason I think the twins are up o no good is because of teh way Eric was playing with that knife. Their creepiness was toned down a lot and there are far worse people around them, but let's not forget that they had it in them to torture a man (as bad as he was) and they consistently lie to their parents about their problems. Oh, and I do think that actually shooting someone is right up their alley!
Weirdo, when Norma went to check out that house all alone I was kind of relieved that Adan was after her - at least she didn't have to confront Romina alone. Then, when the guy tried to make his move, I was glad to see Romina show up, too. LOL, talk about mixed feelings, right?
Carmella, lurk away, but do come back to comment once in a while, your take on things is very much appreciated. I was already against Jimena forgiving Oscar, but with everything that is happening to her now I'd be very pissed with the show if she forgave him in the end. I do want her to adopt Duvan and I think this is where we're going with this, but Oscar needs to be banished. I can't even imagine how someone who never watched the first PDG feels about him, I can barely stand to look at his stupid face when he's on.
I was finally able to watch the episode and read your excellent recap novelera. It has been a busy few days, as I am very active in our parish ministries for Holy Week.
I thought the whole episode with Dilsah felt like a final goodbye. With all the ReyMir, Umut drama, who is going to have time to visit her? I don’t care what Hazar told Zehra, I don’t think Zehra can handle Hazar “taking care” of Dilsah.
I totally agree with you carmella, someone needs to became a murderer and put Fu out of our misery! I heard that the new TN starts on May 10th, so the Hercai episodes are numbered! Hopefully her days are numbered as well.
Thanks novelera!
I finally caught up thanks to the help of our masterful recappers, VVS, Juanita, novelera.
Friday recap coming shortly.
Season 2 Episode 43 – Friday – Part 1 of 4
Madrina tells Romina spiders are dangerous, but I’m pretty sure she already knew that. Madrina wants to know why she wants it, but she isn’t saying. (Again, this is pretty obvious) Romina knows what she is doing and what she is up to and she wants the spider. Madrina thinks Romina will accidentally kill Duvan (a reasonable concern) and that she should stop her nonsense and accept Oscar’s offer. Romina thinks Norma’s visit has upped the stakes as she tells Madrina.
Quintina is concerned about Norma who hasn’t been herself since she got back from her ride. Norma is inexplicably worried about Romina and Duvan – I say inexplicably because with Adan’s actions he is definitely Norma’s biggest threat right now, not because it isn’t reasonable and right to be concerned about Duvan. Norma asks about the people living in the house by the mill but Quintina didn’t even know people lived there, she thought that cabin was abandoned. Norma wants to talk to Jimena about her outing but she doesn’t know if she should. Her sister has been very nervous and unwell she doesn’t want to upset her.
Andres and Albin are outside doing a little home exercise when Andres gets a call from Rosario. She wants him to come in and talk to her. Andres takes the call normally but he’s nervous about the confrontation. Albin wants to go with Andres because he’s concerned, Rosi’ll be aggressive but Andres says it’s not necessary, nothing will happen. He does like the idea that Albin wants to protect him though.
Leon comes into the barn and finds Eric sitting in a hammock staring at his phone as if it’s going to bite him. He says Uncle Oscar has called three times and he’s avoiding him because if he talks to him too soon, he’ll be able to tell they are up to something. Leon suggests telling him their plan but Eric wants to wait until the last minute so he will believe them and not think they are lying. Oscar calls again and this time Eric answers, Oscar goes off about how he’s calling and calling and calling and they don’t answer him (and this might be petty but it’s becoming a pet peeve for me – Oscar keeps saying ‘you guys’ but he's talking to one person. He hasn’t been calling both Leon and Eric all morning he’s been calling Eric but he uses the plural noun to say they aren’t taking his calls….I know they are twins but they aren’t the same person!) Oscar is going to come by the house to see them and Eric makes some excuse about being unable to answer the phone due to a family meeting.
Don Martin and Norma are looking at a picture of Jimena and Oscar and Martin sees the enemies (He sees serpents Adriana!!! I guess they aren’t out of season) surrounding them waiting to pounce and inject them with their venom. Norma thinks grandpa is crazy, but Martin says he’s not. He’s worried because only he sees them and he knows they are real.
Speaking of serpents, Romina is still trying to convince Madrina to give her a spider and this is really a very bad idea! Madrina tells Romina if Norma is coming to her house, they are probably plotting against her and she is going to stay away from her house to protect herself! The ladies have an argument about who’s better bad company to have, Romina or Madrina’s grandson? Romina just demands the spider again. Madrina says if Romina agrees to Oscar’s proposal, she will give her the spider (NO!!!) and Romina says give it to me and if I see Oscar, I will tell him I’ll move out…looks like we have a deal!
Season 2 Episode 43 – Friday – Part 2 of 4
Rosi and Andres have a talk and Rosi gives him the third degree about where Muriel is. Andres doesn’t answer any of her questions and tells her he doesn’t want to be put in the middle. Rosi wants to know if Andres took Muriel to Juan David, but Andres says why would I take her to my cousin? Rosi tells him not to play dumb and he says he isn’t and he doesn’t want to get involved. Andres says if Rosi wants to fire him she can do it now but he isn’t going to be blackmailed by her. Rosi backs down, she doesn’t want that. Andres does agree to at least tell Muriel that Rosi wants her to come home and give up her relationship with Juan David because neither she nor her father agree with it and Rosi is willing to forgive and forget if she returns!
Juan David is making out with Muriel in front of his Aunt Sara! (And the look on Sara’s face is worth the price of admission, so funny) He remembers she’s there and says good bye to auntie too telling her to take care of Muriel, Sara says she will treat her as if she is her own daughter, and they fist bump. More kisses and goodbyes for JD and Muriel even kisses the horse! (AW!) More amused looks from Sara but then JD does leave and the ladies embrace – Muriel gets another kiss from Sara, on her head.
Norma is making Martin go outside, he wants to stay in bed but Norma thinks he needs vitamin D so he will stop seeing monsters. Martin says there are worse things than that in the world and he hopes Norma never finds them. Norma thinks she encountered something worse this morning (YEP) but she doesn’t know how to deal with it because she doesn’t want to hurt innocent people. Martin asks what she is talking about and Norma says a malicious woman making claims on something that doesn’t belong to her. Norma thinks she’s a very dangerous woman and we see Romina leaving Madrina’s at that very moment with a box, does it contain a spider? (I hope it escapes and bites her as she drives off)
Madrina’s grandson (I don’t remember if we’ve heard his name) asks who Romina is but she says just a client. He mentions she said she was her goddaughter and she warns him not to take an interest in her because she’s problematic and he should worry about his business and forget about Romina.
Norma and Martin are still discussing Romina and how strange and presumptive she is and how weird it is she is living on Oscar and Jimena’s property when Norma drops some new and interesting information on her grandfather. She feels like she recognized Romina!! She can’t put her finger on it but she feels like she’s met her somewhere before.
Dinnertime at Juan’s house and JD is nervously beating around the bush with his family (minus Don Martin who isn’t at the table). He’s rambling about being reserved and private and all that when dad tells him to spit it out. His brothers agree. JD tells them Rosi beat Muriel and threw her out of her house because she’s dating JD. The family is not surprised, Eric said he could tell from the beginning she was wild one and capable of anything. Everyone wants to know where Muriel is and JD tells them that Andres took her to stay with Sara but he wants her to come stay here with him. Juan says of course, she can come. Norma agrees too and the twins think it would be cool to have her there with them. JD is grateful for their support. The twins think big brother should run and retrieve her right away but Norma points out he has to actually ask her and get her approval. JD doesn’t want to pressure her but he’ll feel better having her close where he can protect her and Juan agrees, this is her house, we will be happy to have her! (This is heartwarming and all, but did JD even hear Muriel say she’d rather stay with Sara for now?)
Season 2 Episode 43 – Friday – Part 3 of 4
Duvan is asleep on the bed WITH THE BOX!! And I swear Romina is the worse mother in the world. He asks about mom going out and she tells him to go back to sleep. He reaches for the box!!! But Romina stops him and threatens to do something horrible to him if he doesn’t go back to sleep (I didn’t hear the actually threat, I was too busy worrying about whether or not the spider was still in the box or whether Duvan looked too out of it, was he bit? I hate that spider but I hate Romina more!!) Romina leaves and again I can only hope in vain that she meets her own demise before she can torment Jimena more.
At Bar Alcala, Rosi is performing and Pancha is looking like she finally remembered how much trouble Rosi always caused her back in the day. Gunter is in the back room mumbling the same old lines about how you don’t mess with Samuel Caballero! Albin is looking like he has no care in the world as usual and Andres is playing away. The crowd loves it, Pancha looks pissed (it’s actually funny how annoyed she looks considering she’s Rosi’s best friend in the world).
Norma is in her room remembering her talk with Romina and I think she may have put two and two together because she’s recalling all the comments about Romina not having a husband because Duvan’s father lives with someone else. (I’m actually glad Norma has gotten involved and seems to be thinking along the right lines but I am still so distracted by the fact that her bigger problem, ADAN, seems to not register with her.) Juan comes in and thinks she’s concerned with JD but she tells him about her adventure this morning. Juan is concerned she is getting too involved but Norma is stuck on thinking she knows Romina from somewhere. Does Juan remember that maid that lived at Oscar and Jimena’s all those years ago, the one with the small child? Juan points out they’ve had many employees. Norma encourages him to think…..Romina reminds her of that woman (or the young daughter I am not sure which).
Meanwhile, Romina is robed again and headed to Jimena, who is looking all pretty and worry free smiling over her newest designs. Jimena occasionally hears noises but decides it’s nothing, I hate this part!! Romina makes it to the bedroom and deposits that ugly looking spider in the bed…(maybe it’ll bite Oscar??) Jimena looked no where near ready for bed a minute ago, but of course she arrives on cue to get ready for bed. Romina has no time to escape and has to quickly let herself into the locked closet (?) to hide! It’s got guns (Romina doesn’t need access to) and a safe. Romina somehow locks herself in too (hehe)!!!
Jimena still getting ready for bed gets a call from Norma and she tells her sis she feels much better! Juan wants to talk to Oscar but he will have to wait because he isn’t home! Juan is determined to chat with his little brother and it seems he too may have jumped to the right conclusion! Juan and Norma discuss how to approach the subject and Norma thinks Juan should let her approach Oscar so they don’t fight, but Juan looks like he is going to deal with his brother his way.
Romina can’t get out of the little area that is barely bigger than her and I’m just giggling away and wishing she was claustrophobia like Muriel. Oscar arrives earlier than Jimena thought and just as she’s about to get into bed, he wants her to come have dinner with him! He whines like a baby about eating alone and normally I’d have no sympathy for his plight, but there’s a spider in the bed so I’m begging Jimena to go have din din! She doesn’t though, and tells Oscar to call Juan because he wants to talk to him. Oscar leaves pouting while Jimena climbs into bed! I was hoping maybe the spider abandoned the bed by now, but nope, it’s still there….EW!!! Romina is just trapped like a rat!
Season 2 Episode 43 – Friday – Part 4 of 4
The spider is moving, the covers show it, Jimena thankfully feels it before it bites and jumps up seeing it and screaming for Oscar! Romina enjoys this. Berta and Oscar coming running and Jimena is still freaking out (No judgment, I would too)
JD checks in on Muriel, she’s fine and comfortable at Sara’s. Rosi hasn’t been there and Muriel doesn’t think she’ll come what she is really worried about is her father. JD points out Rosi probably has Muriel’s phone and Muriel agrees, she’s probably gone through it too and seen everything this worries JD although he reacts with bravado saying he doesn’t care. He tells Muriel he talked to his whole family and they have their support. He has an idea, a plan B, but he wants to tell her in person.
Rosi is on top of her game performing tonight and Andres assures Albin everything went fine in his talk with her. Everything is fine, but Andres isn’t stupid he knows that even though Rosi acted calm he still has to be on his guard because you never know what to expect from her next.
Back at Casa de Oscar, he makes sure Jimena wasn’t bit and she says no. This poor excuse for a man is just sitting by Jimena’s side barking orders at poor Berta who has to deal with the tarantula, clean the room thoroughly, prepare the guest room for him and Jimena and call spider control of something first thing in the morning, she needs a new job, stat!
The only good part of this night is Romina still trapped in that closet!! Jimena and Oscar are in bed in the guest room and Jimena is still scared about the spider while Oscar claims his only worries are for the twins. He tells Jimena not to worry because they will fumigate but then has the gall to make a comment about how she has to remember they live in a forest surrounded by insects and animals and she should expect these things! Jimena actually nods as if this jerk has a point!!! He says she used to be more logical (which might actually be a fair statement but it’s still a jerk thing to say at the moment) He used to live in a big house full on insects and spiders with Juan and Franco and they never got scared…. oh please, shutup! Then he makes the patented ‘I wonder how many creepy-crawlies are out there that we don’t even know about’ statement to remind viewerville of the serpent in the closet/safe.
Rosi doesn’t have Muriel’s phone but Gunter does and he finds a bunch of photos of Muriel with JD, he doesn’t show Rosi and hides the phone instead when she comes upstairs. They have the same ‘what are you going to do when big bad Sam comes for you’ conversation and Gunter advises Rosi to face Sam head-on with a smile. Rosi needs a drink!
Next morning, Jimena and Oscar are having breakfast and he wants to call a fumigator but Berta knows someone who will do it section by section. If they call a pro, they’ll have to leave the house for at least two days but this guy will do it more prudently. Oscar agrees and says good thinking. She goes inside and Oscar asks Jimena if she’s going to the office today. She says yes, she has a doctor’s appointment but then she will, she’s tired of being cooped up.
Duvan wakes up to find Romina gone and seems scared to think she didn’t come home, I don’t know why, if I was that kid and I woke up to find my mom didn’t come home last night I’d think I won the lottery!
Romina has no other choice but to alert someone to her whereabouts, and she does alert poor Berta who is cleaning in the room. Romina begs to be let out and Darcy screams NOOOO!!! Berta doesn’t have the key but Romina throws it out to her and this silly stupid woman OPENS!!! (She should have called the cops and reported an intruder and let them open the damn door!) Romina attacks of course!
And on that scary note our tale ends for another week!
Will there you have it, another creepy crawling episode of this weird little show...I wonder if the writers ever saw season 1??
Adriana, I don't doubt you on the twins being up to no good, I just didn't pay attention. I was more than a little distracted yesterday lots going on this week. I just assumed I knew what they were up to so I gave them half an ear and then I was surprised at what I'd missed when I read your recap. I'm surprised to find myself thinking this but I kind of wish this show would remember it is about who murdered Prof Carreno and leave poor Jimena alone for awhile. I'd rather watch the twins hatch their plans than wait for spiders to bite!!
I understand JD's reasoning in wanting Muriel with him but I'll be disappointed if that happens right away because I like Muriel and Sara's interactions. The actresses are good scene partners, they work well together. I liked seeing Sara all smiles and happy in this episode with someone to actually spend time with instead of always alone as Gaby obsesses over Nino and Andres is at the bar! Franco needs to come back now!!! Really, we heard his name in this episode but it's not enough, come back FRANCO!!!!!! This show needs the boost his arrival could and likely will produce.
I really hope Romina doesn't kill Berta but it doesn't look good! I HATE Oscar!!!!
Thank you, Darcy, your recap was fun, you're as snarky as this show is crazy.
I laughed when Don Martin mentioned snakes - I do find them scarier than tarantulas - but I would have freaked just as much as Jimena did after seeing that creature in her bed.
I think that what Norma said she remembered was the woman working for Jimena and Oscar had a young daughter - if Romina actually lived in the same house with her, it makes sense that she hasn't seen her yet. She'd recognize her. And if Romina was around Oscar all the time, she could have easily gotten him drunk one night - not to excuse Oscar, because he's the worst, but Romina might have planned this whole thing all along. She keeps mentioning wanting to be the lady of the house more than wanting to be Oscar's wife - Romina wants Jimena's life, Oscar is just part of the package.
Darcy, I also like the Sara-Muriel combo. I still feel like the family's affection for the girl is rather extreme, but it is what it is. Juan and Norma agreeing for her to come live with them is a bit much, but legt's not forget how Jimena, Norma and Sarita all left their abusive home and went to live with the Reyes brothers. SO maybe they think this is normal, but if I were Muriel, I'd definitely call my father and ask him to come. I was under teh impression that they had a good relationship, but now she seems to fear him just as much as Rosario does. Why else would she avoid talking to him?
Adriana, you are right Norma did say that the woman working for Jimena and Oscar had a young daughter but then she said something about Romina reminded her of that 'woman' instead of saying that little girl which is why I was confused wondering if Norma was thinking Romina was the woman or the daughter...of course if she was the young girl she might now look like her mother and remind Norma of the woman who worked there even though she is the daughter. Idk, it was a confusing line of thought to follow. And 'young' is relative too, some people call me young lady but when I think young daughter - I think child. Which is another level of creepy, what is the age difference between Oscar and Romina?
One thing I will say about production they do a good job making Romina look unappealing. I saw a photo of the actress out of character and was very surprised by how nice and pretty she looked, lol
Another thing I keep forgetting to mention since we were talking about recapping availability - I will be traveling to see my mom May 18 and will probably be unable to recap on the 18-20th. And I believe we will have another pre-emption on Thursday next week for the Latin American Music Awards based on the commercial I saw on the Peacock app this morning.
A short one. I took some of this directly from the Turkish so dialog may differ slightly. Please add and/or correct as necessary.
Azize issued the ultimatum. Hazar wimps out and lowers his gun [too bad]. As he does, he gets a call from Cihan and says, I’m on my way.
Azize takes this opportunity to rub it in to Fusun. You can see my son is a good man. He didn’t let me become a murderer. This is the difference between you and me. You are doomed to be alone, but I am not. I already paid dearly for my faults, now you will. First before Allah and then before me, you will pay. You should be thankfully praying that my son chose to protect me, otherwise your corpse would be lying in this courtyard. On her way out, Azize adds her gun to the growing collection in the shrubbery.
Fusun was really affected by this close call and needs to catch her breath. She speaks to the departed Azize, after everything you have done, you became a mother. And your son became yours, he doesn’t want you to get hurt. While I miss my child, you became a family. You show your motherhood off to me, Azize? Let’s see what you do when your motherhood is taken from you. [this does not bode well for Hazar]
Hazar arrives at the office and Cihan rips into him for going after Fusun because it put Yaren in danger. Look who’s talking, Hazar shoots back. You tried to make a murderer out of your nephew! What kind of uncle are you?! Cihan feels justified because Miran took Azat away from him. Your son helped my son leave, he shouts, is it Yaren’s turn now?
Hazar says Azat is like his son and asks can Cihan say the same about Miran? He adds, what is this anger and hate about?
ReyMir and entourage arrive at the hotel. Rey is greeted by several employees who each present her with flowers. She can’t even hold them all. Miran denies he arranged this. Firat tells Miran he’s making him look bad in front of his wife. But Miran hints to him that he took care of that—look in your room, he tells Firat. In their room, Miran gives Rey a pep talk. He points out the petunias which signify hope.
The brothers continue to argue. Cihan goes on about Azat and Miran and Azize. The shame of Azat marrying Miran’s ex-wife. He reminds Hazar about how Azize and Miran dishonored Reyyan and how Nasuh never loved his mother because of his love for Ayse. Hazar warns Cihan he’s crossing a line. You will only end up severing our ties. Am I lying, Cihan asks? If our ties are severed, he says, it’s because I’m telling the truth. Then you and I were never brothers.
The argument is interrupted by the disgruntled ex-employee, shouting for Cihan in the lobby. Cihan starts to argue with the man, knocks him down and threatens to kill him. Guards and Hazar manage to keep them apart. Hazar wants to hear what the man has to say. The man says he has respect for Hazar but none for Cihan. He looked down on me and kicked me out, he tells Hazar. He explains that the factory closed, many lost their jobs. He has a sick son and sick mother at home. Seven mouths to feed.
Hazar says he will take care of it and asks the man to leave his phone number. So Cihan gets pissed all over again. He shouts, why must you go against me?! Hazar grabs Cihan and tells him to get a hold of himself. Cihan calls the employee an instigator who is starting problems. Cihan’s jealousy of Hazar spills over again. That man said your brother is a bastard but you are the hero! [if the toupee fits, Cihan…]
Hazar asks, why are you so angry? When did you become so cruel? Cihan retorts, if you’re looking for cruel, look at Azize and Miran! One is your mother and the other your son! Who am I?! I won’t hold back any longer, he continues to shout, even if it involved someone I love and much less if it’s Azize or Miran. This earns a punch from Hazar.
Do what you want, Hazar says, you’ll always be fighting someone. Your fight against yourself never ends [truer words…] Neither does your fight against dad, your son, me or my son! Hazar takes out his gun and shoves it into Cihan’s hand. Go ahead, he dares, put an end to this, kill me! And adds a little slap to provoke. Cihan is stunned. Kill you, he asks? He drops the gun and leaves.
Sweet ReyMir moments in the hotel room, bubble baths, bathrobes, strawberries, and Vitamin K (a kiss).
Dr. Turan discusses Rey’s case with a colleague. He thinks Turan is being overly optimistic.
I am not sure where Cihan is. He’s talking to some guy (should I know him?) and complaining about Hazar. The man listens then says Hazar has a lot of problems now and we all know how much he loves you. You put too much pressure on him because of your son, he tells Cihan. Azize shows up and signals for the man to give up his seat beside Cihan. Cihan gives the ok.
Cihan thinks this can’t be good. Things aren’t always as they seem, Azize replies. Cihan is not in the mood and asks her to get to the point. She heard about the incident with Hazar. I should remind you he is your older brother. Cihan laughs. Do you want to act like my stepmother? Miran isn’t your enemy, and neither is Hazar, she says. Your only enemy is Fusun. If you want revenge, remember who your enemy is.
The angel who used to be a demon wants to give me advice, Cihan scoffs. I know who everyone is, especially you. Go play mother someplace else. Azize warns Cihan if he attacks Miran or Hazar, he will answer to her.
ReyMir take a walk along the waterfront. A man fishes nearby and Rey dumps his catch back into the water. Miran compensates the man for his loss. This ties in with hope somehow. Rey says she doesn’t want to be unfair to Miran. She mentions how he left Dilsah at the manicomio and how he never stops trying to make her feel better even though he shares the same pain. [no comment] Miran says he left his mother there so she could recover. She is not being unfair.
Firat, Zeynep and Azra meet up with ReyMir. Firat has prepared tea. More hopeful talk. Did Azra really call Miran a superhero? Lol Rey wants “süt mısır” (corn on the cob cooked in milk, sugar and butter) when she hasn’t even finished her cotton candy and Firat recalls the liver and chocolate incident. When the guys go off to buy the corn, Rey enlists the gals to help her plan something for Miran. We don’t hear details.
Meanwhile, Zehra is having a bad dream. She’s dressed in black trying to sweep falling dead leaves off the patio. My grandson is coming, she says in a panic, people will be here. Why can’t I clean? Suddenly she stops sweeping and now she is wearing a black headscarf. She turns to see a coffin draped in the green cloth, one side with Surah Nahl 61: “When their time comes they cannot delay it for a single hour, nor can they bring it forward by a single hour” on the other, Surah Ankebut 57: “Every soul must taste of death, then to us you shall be brought back.” She collapses. She wakes up and sobs, please don’t take my boy away. [Gotta wonder who’s coffin it is… Reyyan’s? Hazar’s? What do you think?]
Miran crosses another item off his list—take a walk by the waterfront. Rey is desperate to see his notes and they have a playful struggle. Zehra can hear their laughter, and this just adds to her sadness.
ReyMir and entourage are in Turan’s office. He tells Rey that Miran managed to convince him to help. Azra is honored to meet the legendary Dr. Turan. She asks to help with Rey’s case. Turan asks Miran to stay behind. He’s got Rey’s diary. I memorized every word, he says, I don’t know how many times I read it. Miran replies, I knew my words were not enough to convince you. Turan says they are kindred spirits. I didn’t want you to see your wife’s name on a tombstone. Let’s go.
We get scenes of Rey going through various tests. Rey will have to stay in the hospital until she gives birth, about two more months.
Yaren wants to visit her parents. Fusun tells her the foxes in my head eat the sheep I count for sleeping and warns the Yellow Centipede not to underestimate her just because she feels empowered by Firat’s protection. She says the driver will take her and bring her back. She gives the order that Yaren will be brought back on time.
In the car, Yaren tells the driver she wants to stop to buy something for her parents, but the driver doesn’t want to go against Fusun’s orders. Yaren is about to make a complaint call to Firat but the car is intercepted by the disgruntled ex-worker. He subdues the driver and kidnaps Yaren.
Azize shows up at the Sad konak with Mahmut carrying gifts for Gul and Bahar. She tells Nasuh she is hesitant to upset Hazar but would really like the chance to visit with her granddaughters. Hazar appears on the patio and Azize asks to see the girls. She’s prepared to turn and go, but Hazar tells her the girls are in their room and he accompanies her.
The ReyMir group have a meal and they talk about preparing for Rey’s hospital stay. Zehra maintains her sour puss. Rey mentions getting a tulle crown (A red ribbon or headband is supposed to protect the new mother from evil spirits). The entourage talks about heading back to Midyat and Zehra says she’s not going anywhere, Hazar can watch the girls.
Zehra can’t take the hopeful talk any longer. When Rey excuses herself to the bathroom, she unloads. What are you doing, Miran? Am I the only one here who heard the doctor? Zeynep? Azra? Firat? Miran reminds her that there is still a possibility. Zehra replies that the doctor also said it would be difficult and there is still time to change your mind.
Firat says that they are acting like this to support Reyyan. The doctors recommended it. Zehra wishes she could be as hopeful. Don’t you think I want my daughter to be alright and return to Midyat with her baby in her arms? That’s all I want but that is not enough. Is that crown most important at this moment? I begged her, she tells Miran, I couldn’t stop her. Now you need to stand in front of her. There is death at the end of this, Zehra says.
Rey has come out and hears this. Zehra excuses herself from the table. Rey follows her mother and asks her not to get like this. We spoke about it. Zehra tells Rey she is walking in the darkness and cannot see. All I can see is light, Rey replies, and why would this be Miran’s fault? This was my decision. Zehra fights to accept this. Rey hugs her mother. Zehra thinks that Rey doesn’t fully understand yet what it means to be a mother. She won’t until she holds her baby in her arms. Rey tells her mother to have faith that good days will come.
Fusun arrives at the Sad konak, shouting for Cihan. Cihan and Handan come out. They think she’s there because of Hazar. Nope. I want to know how you are going to fix the disaster you caused for my grandchild, Fusun sneers.
And we are out.
Well written, short and sweet, clear and concise recap dondi356! Thank you! Not much “fluff” in this episode except for Reymir moments and supportive friends/family like Firat, Zeynep and Azra. Thank goodness for them because Zehra should stayed at the sad konak for all the hope she adds to this situation! Plus, in all honesty, I think we are in Hazar’s “final” moments, so she should be home with him! Too many comments, bad dreams, and Hazar fiercely telling Cihan to kill him. Hazar definitely had family and servants to care for his two younger daughters had he gone with Miran and Reyyan, but I think he stayed behind because the death angel is coming for him———it’s time for Nasuh and Azize to pay the “ultimate” price for their sins, imho……..Plus, Fu the gasbag would gladly like to be the one to make it happen, especially after Azize rubbed the love that she is now receiving in Fu’s face.
Cihan is a most deplorable man and human being! He’s so ate up with jealousy and revenge, that he can’t see not a bit of good in anything. Between Hazar and Cihan, I would prefer Cihan to get ghost, but something tells me that it will be Hazar because of Zehra’s dream and the other things I mentioned before…….
Poor disgruntled employee who kidnapped Yaren doesn’t know what he’s in for with that witch! Lol! Hope he has a good plan and stays as far away as possible from her! She’s a venomous snake and she's way out of his league when it comes to sneaky and manipulative behavior! Run disgruntled employee guy, run!
Azize’s threats are pretty tiresome too….somebody PLEASE off Fusun so we can kill the threat noise!
Thanks again dondi356!
NOVELERA
THANKS A BUNCH... GREAT RECAP... !!
DILSAH dillpickles.... you have suffered...good point abt how the old Dilsah is dead.. and to add salt to the womb..you are in manicomio and that criminal Azize is outside looking at you be admitted
WTF!! is Azize doing there..why ..cant you stop the BS..I don't get it..Azize has $$ the dash/money/plata...why not high end club med rehab?!!!!!!!!!
hazard Hazar... Go-! -Go..! -Daddy-Oh..!!DAD -HAS -GONE-STRAIGHT -GANGSTER..!! works for me!!
Many thanks, dondi356, for another superb recap. Yes, it's shorter than most of your others, but it captures everything important, including letting us know what was written on the coffin in Zehra's dream.
Fusun's threat after Azize leaves definitely seems to threaten Hazar, and of course the coffin in Zehra's dream may also suggest that Hazar is doomed. However, I've been thinking that Zehra may be the one to go. That would free Hazar to reunite with his first love, a miraculously cured Dilsah, who of course is also Miran's mother and Azra's. Perhaps that's one reason that Zehra is being presented now in such a negative way.
As for Cihan...ugh! I'd love to see him disappear. And what's all this business about Hazar not being his brother because they have different mothers? Nasuh is the father of both men. Doesn't that make them brothers?
Speaking of Cihan, I LOVED your "[if the toupee fits, Cihan…]"!
"Sweet ReyMir moments in the hotel room, bubble baths, bathrobes, strawberries, and Vitamin K (a kiss)." Many thanks for not devoting more time to that.
I suspect that the guy who kidnapped Yaren will not hurt her, though I frankly wouldn't be sorry if he did. Anything that upsets the Yellow Centipede and/or her father, Toupee Guy, is fine with me.
I'm glad that Reyyan made clear to Zehra that going through with the pregnancy was her idea, not Miran's.
Since this dizi is in its final segments, I don't think we'll see Reyyan in the hospital day by day for two months. I'm guessing a Dos Meses Después sign very soon or, perhaps, a premature delivery. What that would mean isn't clear. These days, there are some babies born weighing just a couple of pounds who survive (how well, I'm not sure).
DONDI..LOVE THAT RECAP...!!
AZIZE you are always asserting ..I WILL PROTECT MY KIDS..!!'...okay. so take that bullet.. DO Everyone a favor and 'SMOKE -DAT-BITC#$% '.Stand by your work. Make a real sacrifice..!.
What has Azize sacrifice..? and Excused-me..but can anyone name two/2 times ...okay one time...that AZIZE TOOK DILSAH aside and begged Dilsah for her forgiveness..When did Azize prostrated herself in front of Dilsah .. offered her neck in humility..????when??
Team crazy Dilsah.. because she never got retribution... her day in court.. she should have sues Azize and for kidnapping....Just Saying..she hasnt grovel enough for me...
Excellent recap as always, Darcy!
I didn't watch the episode, so I don't know how much Jimena freaked out with the spider, but I have arachnophobia, so I would have definitely freaked out more lol! Poor Jimena! I was hoping the spider would bite Óscar, as Darcy said, but no.
I actually like snakes, I find them cute (VERY unpopular opinion). Romina is excluded, I am talking about the rest of the snakes.
WHY the heck did Bertha open the cupboard thing?! Just WHY? It made no sense! The only good thing in the entire episode got ruined!
Franco, DÓNDE ESTÁS????
Week of 18-22/4: Business as usual.
Week of 25-29/4: I won't be able to recap.
Week of 2-6/5: Adriana will do 1 recap, won't be able to do another one.
Week of 9-13/5: Business as usual.
Week of 16-20/5: Darcy won't be able to recap on 18, 19 and 20/5.
I think I sort this out. Now everything is organised.
P.S.: Adriana, do you know which day you'll be able to recap? I believe it could help sort the rest of the days out. We still have time for that of course, so no worries if you don't know.

Na-umm/Yes:
An-Nahl-61, Surah The Honey Bees Verse-61 -
Were Allah to take mankind to task for their wrongdoing, He would not leave any living being upon it. But He respites them until a specified time; ...
And if Allah were to punish (all) mankind for their wrongdoing, He would not leave on it (the earth) a single moving creature, but He defers them to an appointed term; and when their term comes, they can neither delay nor advance it an hour (or a moment).
Amen...

but Ayat 71 : is more hopeful:
Allah has brought you forth from your mothers' wombs when you knew nothing, and then gave you hearing, and sight and thinking hearts so that you may give thanks. And Allah has brought you out from the wombs of your mothers while you know nothing..

Yes..thanks for the Ramadaan Sura/Dua ...for the day..... Loved you attention to detail..!!
Yes Darcy a very good recap indeed! I don’t need to see the episode with such good recaps for company! Funny Weirdo, but I really like spiders and am not a fan of snakes, lol!
I could just see Panchita’s face as you’ve described it cause Rosario the selfish psycho decided to do her show instead of making more of an effort to locate Muriel———not that I want Muriel anywhere near her “in heat” of a mother! I would’ve loved to have seen JD and Muriel heatedly kissing in front of Sarita, and the look on Sarita’s face! I can watch network episodes after the fact, but I need the power to FFW, and it doesn’t give you that option unless you DVR——which I don’t!
So Romina got locked in the closet!?!?! Hahaha! I can’t even ascribe an animal name to her cause every creature, even a roach is too good for her to bear its name! The part about Norma remembering a mom and little girl is very interesting! Very interesting! Hopefully Norma is onto something!!
Ironic Sarita and Muriel are bonding…… I’m sure Rosario will just hate that! Interesting too, how you’ve described Gunters “change” in character! Poppie Sam must be a fierce one to be able to wield the kind of fear that he does. Makes me wonder if he’s always been that way, or did Rosario drive him to it?????
Terrific recap, dondi! I also LOVED "if the Toupee fits". Tell us what you really think about Cihan.
Hmmm. Some of you seem to think the coffin in the courtyard was meant to be Hazar. I thought it was Zehra's nightmare of seeing Reyyan in one. I don't think all of these nightmares the dizi writers seem to enjoy putting up (often with all-white clothing) necessarily come true.
This is not the first time Fusun has threatened Hazar. I myself fully expect Hazar to be around for the grand finale. I think that would be too much of a blow for ReyMir, not to mention Nasuh and Ayse.
Right now the only ones I want to see 6-feet under are Cihan and Fusun. I suppose Idiot Cihan is going to somehow blame Miran for Yaren being grabbed up.
I was disappointed that, when Hazar found out about disgruntled guy's beef, we didn't get more background on why Cihan closed the factory. I was sort of thinking it was part of his other scheme, taking money out of the company account and putting it in his own. And...why did that story line just peter out? I wanted him kicked out of the company for fraud, but nada.
And yes, Sourpuss Zehra should have stayed at home if she was going to rain all over ReyMir's parade when she knew going in what the plan was. Also, isn't Bahar still nursing? Is she pumping and shipping by Turkish Airlines, or are wet nurses a dime a dozen in Midyat?
