I will be forever ticked they killed Hazar.

I do not want Zehra and Mahfuz together, but they will need to get along for Rey’s sake.

Apparently baby stealing is the favorite pastime in Midyat.

I hope they don’t redeem Yaren. Anyway, she still has some unfinished business with Fusun. Will Fusun kill Yaren or will Yaren deflate the Old Gasbag first?

I think that ReyMir and Umut will be okay in the end. So will Firat and Zeynep and Azat and Gonul. I wonder if Azize and Nasuh will get married.

I agree with you, Juanita, there are supporting characters that deserve better. Maybe Lutfu will eventually have success with Asiye. Aslan and Sultana are gone and forgotten. And it’s like Hanife never existed.

ITA about Azra: “Perhaps she'll show that a woman can live HEA with a satisfying career and good friends. Ojalá.” It would be especially nice to see it happening in a place like Midyat.

I laughed when Rey told Miran he was her first baby and Umut her second. That baby sure is a lot cuter than Miran.

The scenes with Azize and Nasuh in Hazar’s room were well done. And that last scene with Rey placing Umut on Hazar’s sweater, with Azize and Nasuh looking on, really got to me. I could have done without seeing Miran's pathetic weepy mug, though.

I wrote a super long comment but my phone froze and it disappeared! Ugh!

Basically, I said that:

1. Thanks Adriana, for the amazing recap!
2. I also think that Pedro was sent by Dimi. Pedro himself being the extortionist sounds odd, at least to me.
3. I agree that Franco was abducted by Dimi. Thanks for the interesting info, PDG fan. I hope Franco doesn't show up on episode 70! Also, who are Libia and Eva? Is Libia the sister of the three main men? (I took a look at the plot for the first one.) Help, anyone?
4. Crazy theory: What if Romina shot Pedro? She did buy ammo the same day, we saw her loading her gun, we didn't really see her that night, she was wearing the creepy outfit, her character is broken enough in order for her to become a murderer and she might have done it so that Óscar will be grateful for saving his nephews. I'm just throwing a wild guess on the table!
5. I forgot to say it the day before yesterday, but I love Sarita's character! She's such a dynamic and strong woman! I would have hated it if she and Franco got killed off in the first season! I would have never seen them!
6. People in YouTube are arguing. The debate is: Is Óscar a good father? My opinion is certainly NOT! Just because he gives money to Romina and doesn't mistreat Duvan doesn't mean that he's a good father. People's standards are VERY low. Either Adriana or Darcy said that Óscar is a lousy father, so at least someone is thinking along the same lines as me.

Weirdo, Libia was the young Reyes sister, she was involved and pregnant with Norma&Co's father, Senor Elizondo, Gabriela's first husband. He was much older, Libia was barely 17 if I remember correctly and he wanted to leave Gabs for her. Libia killed herself after she found out that old man Elizondo was married and that is what set the whole story into motion, with the brothers going to the Elizondo ranch looking for revenge.
Some time passed and Ruth, who was the daughter of some family friends, showed up and she looked just like Libia (same actress played both characters). It turned out that Ruth had been adopted and her real mom was Eva, the maid (was her bio father Reyes Senior? can't remember). She and the Reyes brothers became very close, she had her own side story, too.


I decided I don't really care who shot Pedro - Dimi seems to be the big bad here, so maybe it was him after all.

I think everyone agrees that Oscar is the worst of fathers. Paying for some of his needs doesn't make him a father. And leaving him in an abusive home is too much. I'd like to say that original Oscar wasn't like this, but the truth is he did have a darker side and was craving recognition and a social position. If Romin1 tricked him into a night of sex and a child resulted from that, I can totally see him lying about it in order to mantain his respectability. The sad part being that if he hlwas truly drunk or drugged when it happened and he told Jimena the truth he would have had a chance to be forgiven and to raise his son with the woman he does love.

Adriana, Ruth was not the daughter of Reyes Sr (at least not Juan, Franco and Oscar's dad) they went that direction in TDR but in PDG, Ruth was the daughter of the Reyes brother's uncle who made an appearance at almost the end of the show. That made Ruth and Libia identical cousins and Ruth their cousin. It wouldn't have to be a big mention especially for the sakes of those who never saw S1 but I wish they would at least mention some characters so we'd know where they are now - like Ruth and Eva.

Weirdo - Eva was the life long housekeeper and nanny of Norma, Sarita and Jimena and also the birth mother of Ruth. She started off the show with the Elizondo's but when the Reyes came to the ranch she took their side for lots of reasons but mostly because Libia looked so much like her daughter and she felt compassion for her. She ended up living at the Reyes house by the middle of the season and was practically a mother to them. She and Quintana were staples in that house which is why I find it a little weird that they don't at least mention her name now.

Also, Pedro was Adela's boyfriend (or at least accomplice) so if he was the extortionist it wouldn't be so much that he was as Adela was/is. Which would make some sense but I also think having someone else behind it like Dimi makes sense too!! Romina is an interesting idea.....

PDG fan thanks for the information about the Netflix show, I saw a preview for it and it looks pretty good! :)

Dondi ,Fu fighter deserves a huge anvil . Let's hope the writers give us a morality play ending with rewards for the good folks and punishment for the wicked . Yaren is the wild card .. Just mostly odd and Crazy.

Hazar didn't deserve to die without meeting his grandson . Well, he is now with his lost granddaughter in heaven. We always like to believe that our lost loved ones are together and happy and watching over us who are still on earth.
 

OT Turkish Dizi

I just read that Amor Valiente/Cesur ve Güzel/Brave and Beautiful starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Tuba Büyüküstün is coming to Telemundo in May. I watched it in Turkish a few years ago because I like the lead actors. Both are very popular worldwide. It’s a revenge story with an “impossible” love… sound familiar? But IMHO, it’s better than Hercai. And it’s only 32 Turkish episodes, a little over 2 hrs. each.

OT...Deb and Dondi, thanks for the info on what's coming up on Telemundo . I will try Amor Valiente because I liked Tuba in Kara Para Ask on Netflix.I haven't seen the lead actor in any thing.
I also plan to follow the new season of La Hija which now has Tuba as the leading lady on Unimas.

Season 2 Episode 47 – Friday – Part 1 of 5

**I had to type this up really quickly this time and I have a very busy day and no time to edit as well as I’d like to. I really hope there aren’t too many typos!! Forgive me if there are!

Berta tries to tell Norma and Jimena what happened but of course the doctor walks in at that moment advising them to let Berta rest because she’s very delicate and shouldn’t be talking. The sisters quickly agree and leave telling Berta to take care and be calm. Berta did get out that somewhere was there but nothing else.

Romina is telling Duvan that she is the only one who can protect him, the only one who loves him and worries about him; that’s why he has to obey her blindly. One should never question their mother. Very bad things might happen in the next few days but Duvan should trust Romina and do as she says. If anyone comes and asks he is tell them his mom was home all the whole time, she never left the house because she was sick and in bed. This crazy lady even pulls Duvan into her lap and hugs and kisses him, even calls him sweet names before practically pushing him out of her lap when her mission is complete. Romina goes into her room and loads the gun thinking about how Romina told her Oscar said she was a disgusting wretch who he couldn’t stand; well, he’s going to find out now! He’s going to lose Jimena!!

Oscar is at the house explaining to someone that he didn’t go to the office because he felt sick so Jimena went in his place. He’s okay though and they will talk later. Oscar hangs up and thinks back to seeing Pedro after he was shot, taking his helmet off and checking for a pulse…He is badly shaken by the memory. Jimena arrives somehow still looking at this idiot as if he was prince charming. Speaking to him lovingly and caressing his face. They talk about their day and Oscar asks about Berta, they miss her and hope she gets better soon. Oscar starts to tell Jimena he has some important things to talk to her about when the maid comes telling Jimena she has a visitor, it’s her mom with a man (I was just thinking the other day it’d been too long since we’d seen Gabriela! And of course, Dimi is with her) Jimena doesn’t want to abandon her husband but he says go ahead we’ll talk later, he isn’t up to visitors though so he goes back to his room.

Norma is at the table drinking wine with the twins asking where they were yesterday and why they disappeared. They give her some excuse about meeting with a client from the ranch and tell her she disappeared too! Where did she go? Norma says she didn’t disappear, she went to the hospital with Jimena to see Berta. The boys ask how Berta is, and she’s very bad she has a lot of injuries. Juan comes to join them in wine and comments how they finally appeared and last night grandpa was very worried about them (JD walked in with Juan but didn’t sit or say anything). The twins know, they saw him when they got home and stayed with him the rest of the night taking care of them. Quintina comes in and comments how great it is they are all together, she will get dinner all the table it’s ready! JD tells her to just set 4 plates he is going to go to Aunt Sara’s for dinner and see Muriel! Quintina teases him a little but tells him to enjoy his night.

Season 2 Episode 47 – Friday – Part 2 of 5

Jimena greets Demetrio and Gabriela giving her a big hug, telling her how much she loves her and asking how she is. Gabriela says she’s fine but once again out of the loop, she didn’t know Berta was in the hospital. Jimena tells her mom she is and it’s very serious. Demetrio comments that it is too bad, Berta has worked with you for a lifetime, right? Always with you? Jimena agrees (which means Berta would have been working there when that woman Norma was talking about with a daughter did and could have recognized Romina) Gabriela asks about Oscar and Gabriela thinks they should leave if Oscar is sick but Jimena says no, stay, let’s have something to eat and drink. She calls the maid and asks her to ask the cook to prepare something. Demetrio comments on how big and peaceful the house is and Jimena agrees which is way too odd considering there hasn’t been a moment of peace in that house in quite a while.

At the very moment Jimena said the house is almost always peaceful, the film cut to Romina in the woods, hooded this time in red like little red riding hood and headed their way with a big ol’ gun. The clouds look stormy in the background and it’s clear Romina intends this night to be anything but peaceful! I just kept thinking, ‘Shoot Dimi! Shoot Dimi!!’

Jimena asks if Dimi’s house is big and the little rat lies of course, painting a picture of luxury. The house is almost ready for him and he’ll be going home soon but it’ll be a shame to leave Gabriela he will miss her company. Gabriela is going to miss him too. Oblivious to the dangers a foot, the party decides to walk outside to see the gardens since Dimi guesses they must be wonderful! Gabriela asks the maid to serve outside.

Oscar thinks back to his argument with Jimena about not ditching this place for vacation so they could instead follow up on their responsibilities (and as against it and him as I was at the time that vacation sounds better and better with every passing day)

Romina approaches the house and sees the three outside looking at the land, Jimena gets a call and turns away. Romina raises the gun to shot but just as she pulls the trigger Gabriela walks in front of her eyeline and gets shot!!!! She’s shot in the arm and once again I am shocked!!! (I don’t know why I keep thinking people aren’t actually going to get shot around here? Maybe decades of TN false alarms and buildups to nothing or near misses have trained me wrong!) But this witch has shot Gabriela and Oscar hears Jimena scream Mama and comes running. Romina takes off running. Jimena is crying and Dimi is tending to Gabriela. He asks for a rag and water – um, ambulance. Oscar runs off after Romina but doesn’t catch up to her. Dimi finally asks for an ambulance!

Don Martin is in bed and dreaming about those damn birds again. They are bad and furious. They want to destroy us! They are about to attack! He shoots up in his bed.

Juan and Co are talking about how Martin’s schedule is opposite of theirs. He sleeps all day and then is awake all night, running around asking for food and keeping everyone else awake! Norma just smiles and thinks at least he has us to take care of him. Her phone rings and it’s Jimena telling her of the news. Norma goes pale and can barely get the words out that they shot her mom and Jimena thinks she’s dying!! (I mean she was shot in the shoulder; I doubt she’ll die from that) the family is shocked silent.

Sara gets the same call from Jimena and she loses it! She was at the table with Gaby and Muriel but she drops the phone and goes to get her purse. Gaby picks up the phone and gets the news from her aunt, she tries to get mom to stay home with Muriel while she goes to see about grandma but that isn’t happening. She does at least get the keys so she can drive and all three women head out the door.

Season 2 Episode 47 – Friday – Part 3 of 5


The maid is bringing Jimena tea and Oscar is pacing talking about how he couldn’t find the shooter. Gabriela is still on the couch with Dimi tending to her and the ambulance hasn’t arrived yet. Gabriela isn’t doing well; she’s lost a lot of blood. Oscar says he can’t believe this is happening and they have to call the police and get them involved, something has to be done. Surely, this is unnecessary to say? Someone just shot Gabriela in cold blood, surely to call the police or not call the police isn’t a question that needs to be considered?

Romina is still running through the woods and has made it home constantly looking over her shoulder. Duvan is awakened by something and goes to look for mom. He isn’t thanked for his concern as Romina grabs him by the throat and asks what he’s doing awake and who gave him permission to get up. Duvan claims he heard noises from the roof and thought it was going to cave in. He asks if she was in the attack and she tells him to never say that word. If anyone asks, they don’t have in attack! And remember she never left the house. She orders him to go back to sleep and makes a comment about since when do you sleep in my bed, but she doesn’t kick him out and just tells him to stay on his side and leave her room.

Don Martin is agitated and yelling for Quintina, talking about the vultures following them. Quintina does her best to calm him but is unsuccessful. Martin wants to know where everyone is but she won’t tell him and just says they went out. Martin keeps going on and on and Quintina just gives up walking away in frustration.

Dimi is trying to wake Gabriela but it gets on Jimena’s nerves so she tells him to leave her alone. He explains he is just trying to make sure she’s okay and Jimena knows but she thinks they should let her rest. Oscar chimes in with a warning behind them. Norma and Juan arrive and Norma bursts straight into the house despite being banned. Oscar says nothing of course, this isn’t the time. I didn’t think the ambulance was there yet, but it must be because there’s an EMT with an IV in the shot. I also didn’t think Gabriela would die from a shoulder wound but with as long as it’s taking to get her to the hospital she could die from blood loss.
Adan and the ranchers are all dining or something and his little buddy arrives, Adan tells him what happens and he jumps right to the conclusion that Romina shot with ammo his friend sold her!! He asks for confirmation but the guy claims he didn’t go through with the sale. Adan doesn’t buy it. He also talks about the twins acting strangely, something is going on.

JD arrives with Sara, Gaby and Muriel so he must have arrived in time to drive them. JD, Sara and Gaby head inside while Muriel stays in the driveway with the twins. Sara is told the ambulance is being prepared and the police are on the way. Both Sara and Gaby ask questions no one has the answers to and Gaby warns that Dimi better not have anything to do with this! Dimi looks offended and Juan looks firm and suspicious.

Romina is in bed, asleep and dreaming! This crazy ass chick is laughing in her sleep!!! Dreaming about the night she tortured Jimena, and dreaming of seeing Jimena and shooting, so maybe she doesn’t even know it wasn’t Jimena who got shot? (Process that for a minute – the woman shot in cold blood and before the ambulance can even get packed to get her victim to the hospital, she is sleeping soundly dreaming about torturing someone else!!! That is one cold-hearted you know what) Her laughter wakes Duvan and when he asks what was making Romina laughs she says she was dreaming of killing a bug that has always been in her way! Duvan asks if killing makes her laugh instead of being scared and Romina agrees that it brings her satisfaction if it’s someone in her way.

Season 2 Episode 47 – Friday – Part 4 of 5

Adan is up to no good, taking advantage of the fact that no one is home to creep up to the house. I figured he was headed to Norma’s room to spy but no he’s in one of the twin’s rooms!! He grabs a backpack and is about to open it when the light comes on! Martin is there!!!

The paramedics are finally taking Gabriela to the hospital and the family heads out right behind them to follow.

Martin accuses Adan of being a thief, a snoop and an insect. Adan protests! He’s the foreman(??) of the ranch? Really?? Martin doesn’t care and he yells until Quintina arrives. Martin accuses again and Adan tries the he’s a crazy old man line. He wants to explain but Quintina says no, explain to Norma or Leon whose room this is, but not to me. She is telling on him as soon as they get home. Adan argues but I don’t know why, if Quintina didn’t, Martin would. Adan claims he was just investigating because the main door was open and so was Leon’s bedroom! He tells Quintina if she tells on him he will tell on her for leaving the main door to the hacienda open!!! (OMG, tell away! A) it isn’t true. B) with everything going on it would be understandable. C) Quintina has been their housekeeper for 20+ years they aren’t going to fire her for forgetting to shut a door) Quintina looks oddly concerned with the threat and Don Martin declares he is one of the vultures, it’s him!

The family is in the waiting room and JD suggests to Muriel she come go home and rest. Sara agrees and Gaby encourages her to get some rest but Muriel says no. She wouldn’t be at ease at home, it’s their grandma and Sara’s mom she can’t just leave, they are her family she needs to be here. Sara thanks her and kisses her head.

Juan and Norma talk about how weird it is that this happened to Gabriela. Juan says he doesn’t think the attack was meant for her and Norma says she’s almost sure it wasn’t. Gabriela was at Jimena’s house unexpectedly, it’s much more likely the attack was intended for Jimena or Oscar. They need an investigation but for now Juan wants to keep their suspicions between the two of them.

Eric is talking to Aunt Jimena and they wonder where Dimi is, Jimena thinks he went back when they took Gabriela in. Eric asks a similar question to what Juan and Norma are asking but Jimena doesn’t want to think about it!! (UGH! Someone shake this woman and get her to wake the hell up!!! You were drugged TWICE; your housekeeper was thrown off the roof and now your mother is shot!!!! Now is not the time to be timid and not think about it!) Eric has compassion for his aunt’s nerves and just hugs her.

Oscar is still at home and telling the police what happened. The police ask him to be cautious and Oscar reacts as if the police suggesting he could still be in danger is the most ridiculous idea he’s ever heard (seriously, what is wrong with these people???) The police want to know who are his nearest neighbors but Oscar says they are all family – he doesn’t even take a moment to consider or mention Romina! The next question is who else knew Gabriela was coming to visit, but no one knew, she dropped by unannounced. The cop too doubts the attack was intended for Gabriela. He asks more typical police questions one would expect and even mentions the family connection to the open murder investigation but Oscar the Jerk, reacts as if he has nothing whatsoever to do with that and it’s crazy to suggest it (dude you just maybe-shot the guy directly involved in the extortion of that event LAST NIGHT!!!) I swear if dumb Oscar wasn’t so busy being defensive, he might actually think things through! I hope his dumbass gets arrested for obstruction of justice before this is over!

Season 2 Episode 47 – Friday – Part 5 of 5


Norma doesn’t want to maintain silence this is very serious they need to confront it (Team Norma all the way!) but Juan thinks they need to respect everyone’s nerves and wait; when they know Gabriela is out of danger then they can confront it (okay Team Juan too, I guess). Norma can’t bear the thought that her mom might die but Juan tells her that won’t happen. Gabriela is too mean to die! (LOL he said she too stubborn but that’s what he meant) he says she won’t go out that easily she still has a lot of hell to raise. Norma laugh/cries and the doctor arrives with news. Gabriela is steady. There were complications but she is going to recover. They can see her when she’s out of ICU. She was in danger from the blood loss but luckily Dimi was there to donate blood and save the day!!! (GAG)

Dimi is in the waiting room now with the family and Sara is even sitting by him. He is whining about not being able to stay by Gabriela’s side and how he wants to rush back to her the min they let him! Sara says they all feel that way and they are all thankful to him for what he did for her mom. JD too says thank you. Dimi says he had been planning to leave for home the next day but under the circumstances he thinks he should stay until she recovers. Jimena suggests they leave and she take Dimi to her house, his car is there; and maybe he should go home and change that blood-stained shirt?? I mean, for example. Dimi agrees and creepily singles Gaby out before leaving telling her he hopes her grandma recovers quickly.

JD is now driving the ladies of Sarita’s house home and Muriel comments on how surprising it is their family is so united. JD is surprised Dimi did something noble (we are too, buddy!) Sara is similarly impressed and asks what Gaby thinks; Gaby agrees but the look on her face says it’s lip service to pacify mommy. JD wants to know if Gabriela has any enemies but Sara says no. Sara says this feels like a personal attack and they have an obligation as a family to find out what is going on. JD says nothing but looks very serious.

Jimena arrives home and tells Oscar Gabriela is not good but she will make it. Oscar comments first Berta and now Gabriela, he doesn’t understand what is going on! Jimena says me neither and I don’t want to think about it, she just hopes the police investigates and finds out who did it!!! (I just can’t with these two, this is NOT stick your head in the sand time!!!) Oscar wants to sleep with Jimena this night to take care of her and feel like he hasn’t lost her – and don’t ask him why he’s saying this just let him be with her….(eyes rolling)

JD is parking at Sara’s and it makes no sense because Sara and Gaby are magically no longer in the truck but maybe he left them off at the front door and went to park? He tells Muriel he’s afraid that she will want to leave with everything happening in his family, that she won’t feel safe. Muriel says if she’s with him then anyplace is fine. They kiss and Muriel gets out of the truck, she has to tell JD to come twice but he does and she says anywhere can be dangerous and anything can happen anywhere. JD thinks Rosario can use this to order Muriel to leave and send her away and Muriel says she can try but I’m not a little girl, I’m a woman and I’m not leaving. Looks like grandma is relegated to the backburner for these two for the moment, as they have some flirty kisses and reaffirm their commitment to each other.

Madrina is alone making tea and she gets a phone call. She can barely hear and she tells the caller they shouldn’t be calling this late at night, but we see it’s Adela! And she tells Madrina the same, she’s the girlfriend of her grandson Pedro Millares (I’m including the full name in case it’s important later) and she hasn’t heard from him since yesterday. She needs to contact him, does Madrina know how to reach him? Madrina looks alarmed.

And there we end.

So of course, it is riddled with typos! Sigh. Duvan asked Romina if she was in the attic!! Not the attack! lmao, I don't know what I was thinking. As for the rest of them, I hope they are easy enough to figure out! :(
 

Herc S2 #105 part 1

She (Azize) hasn’t shed a tear since Hazar’s death, Nasuh says, she was waiting so she could cry with you and baby Umut. Azize’s tears fall and we hear her inner voice speak to Hazar, your children came home safe and sound. I am ready to go, Hazar. I will meet you. You won’t sleep alone. Mother and son will sleep side by side. Your grandson will grow up in peace and there will be no more bloodshed because I will take your murderers with me.

Miran tells Rey he will take her home and she asks to go see her father. She wants Umut to see his grandfather. The family of three go to the cemetery.

Rey speaks through tears, we’re here, dad, your children and your grandson. Just like I said. You waited for us and we made it back, even if we were late. You couldn’t meet your grandson. I’m okay thanks to your prayers. I’m a mother, dad, but I lost my father. I didn’t know. We weren’t related by blood, but I swear you were the best father I could ask for. “Allah senden razı olsun” (May God bless you). “Hakkını helal et, babam”, she asks for his blessing/forgiveness and weeps over his grave.

We hear those familiar drum beats and… Azize’s back! She walks down to the patio. Esma asks, Ayse? She was buried in Hazar’s grave, Azize replies. Don’t do it, Esma begs, don’t go back to being Azize. Azize turns and walks away. Esma calls out, Ayse, don’t do it! And she makes a call to Nasuh. Something horrible is going to happen!

Miran visits Cihan in jail. Cihan tells Miran, I called you here to hear the truth and so we can avenge my brother’s death. What happened that night, Miran asks? Cihan begins, Hazar had no business there. I was looking for my daughter. I received a call and when I arrived, Hazar was there. He said we had to leave, it was a set up. He tried to say more…

The convo is interrupted by Azize’s arrival. If you hadn’t killed him, you would have heard what he wanted to say, she tells Cihan. Miran asks, what are you doing here? I’m here to bask in his (Cihan’s) misery, she replies, and to tell your uncle that I’ll take his life with my own hands.

Cihan shouts, I didn’t kill my brother! Don’t you understand that I loved him more than I love myself? He was always like a father to me! [could have fooled me, you jealous jerk] Then he has the gall to shout, none of you are suffering like I am! I lost my brother and I’ve been blamed for his death. Stop making empty threats!

Azize tries to speak but Cihan shuts her down. Tell us, why was Hazar there? Why were you? I was there looking for my daughter, but why were you there? Speak! Miran looks to Azize for an answer. Azize is silent. Cihan continues, you can’t answer. You don’t know either. Listen Miran, Hazar and I were dragged into a trap. We were told different things.

Azize tells Cihan, from now on, your words are meaningless. My son is underground, and you will meet the same fate. It’s over. Azize leaves. Cihan stops Miran from leaving and tells him there something else he should know. We don’t hear this.

Miran comes out and stops Azize before she gets in her car. He tells Azize if she does this, they won’t find Hazar’s murderer. Azize still thinks that Cihan is the killer. Miran tells her he’s not so sure because of what Cihan just told him. Azize can’t believe he is falling for it. I can’t believe you would trust a man who always envied Hazar, she tells Miran. There’s something you don’t know, Miran replies. Azize stands firm. I saw with my own eyes, she says.

Miran says that Hazar was shot from behind. Cihan said it in his statement. We need the autopsy report to confirm it, Miran says, he (Cihan) wouldn’t lie knowing there is an autopsy report. [so why aren’t the police investigating this further?] There’s also that guy, Hercan. The truth may be different than what you saw, he tells Azize.

 

Herc S2 #105 part 2

Azize flashes back. She hears Cihan say it was a trap and then she recalls Azra telling her about Fusun’s threats to harm her family. Miran says that Cihan’s gun is missing. He asks Azize why she was there that night. Azize is putting the pieces together. Did you remember something, Miran asks? Tell me. We will find the murderer, but we need to work together. Azize nods. Promise you won’t hide anything from me, Miran asks her. She promises and asks him the same.

Miran leaves and Azize says, I won’t let you get involved in this. I’ll do all that’s necessary. I’ll find the demons and punish them. If it’s Fusun… if it’s Cihan… they will all go down with Azize.

Reyyan cries with Zehra. She tells her mom that no one told her about Hazar, but she had a feeling. She asks, who did it? Zehra says Cihan but Rey finds it hard to believe. Zehra says Azize saw it. Your father took his last breath while holding her hand. Rey still can’t believe it. She asks if Miran knows this. Zehra nods. Reyyan knows this means big trouble.

Miran meets with Nasuh, Azize and Reyyan. He has something to show them. It’s Umut’s ID. And the name is listed as Umut Hazar. Rey says our father’s name is our greatest gift. Nasuh says, son, your name will live on with your grandson. May Umut Hazar live a long life and enjoy good fortune. Azize adds, may you be rewarded through your son. She tells Miran he did the right thing, she can rest in peace now.

Nasuh motions to speak with Miran outside. He says that he’s worried about his Ayse. Is it because what she said about resting in peace, Miran asks? Nasuh explains, when Ayse was Azize, she hurt everyone on her quest for revenge. You know better than most. We have to stop your grandmother. If anything happens to Cihan, I couldn’t bear it. I understand, Miran replies, I know my grandmother better than anyone. Whoever is responsible for my father’s death will pay dearly. But in the meantime, I won’t let the family lose Ayse. Don’t worry. Nasuh thanks his grandson.

ReyMir family time. Rey thanks Miran for giving Umut his grandfather’s name. I never thought we’d come home to this, but it was our fate, he says. He adds, now there are two people who I love with all my heart. He asks Rey how she is doing, thinking she has a storm inside her. He says in spite of it you stay strong us and for our son. I’ll lose myself if I don’t cling to that, Rey replies, but we have Umut (hope). That’s right, we have our son, Miran says, he’s a fighter.

Zehra is out on the terrace, mourning Hazar. How am I supposed to live without you? Nasuh comes to her and says, you will live on, my dear. For your children and grandchildren. She feels like she can’t. I told myself to go on because of Reyyan, [invisible] Gul, [invisible] Bahar, and now for Umut. I should be stronger for their sake, but I’m not. Every time I close my eyes, I feel like Hazar is in front of me, as if he is coming to hug me. I can’t take it anymore, she sobs into Nasuh.

Do you think it’s easy for me, Nasuh asks? I shouldn’t have had to carry his coffin, he should have been the one to carry mine. I had to bury my beloved son and cover him with dirt. No parent should go through something so painful. May God take me from this world now that he’s gone. Don’t say that, Zehra cries.

Firat’s phone call wakes up the ReyMir family. Firat is on the patio waiting for Miran. He tells Miran he found the house belonging to Hercan’s family. Firat is reluctant to give the info because he is afraid Miran will act like his “old self” [lol, I think his new self is still a lot like his old self]. What’s that supposed to mean, Miran asks with some irritation [see what I mean?] Firat tells him, you’re a father now. You have a son, a wife you love and who you fear losing.

 

Herc S2 #105 part 3

I’m aware of that, Miran responds. Say what you have to say, be clear. Firat replies, I don’t want you to go out looking for revenge again. You asked me to find them, and I did. What are you going to do? They killed my father, Miran fires back, don’t you understand? My father died before he could hold his grandson, before he could smell his scent. What do you want from me? Should I let them get away with it? Can’t I find out who gave the order?

Fine, look into it, Firat tells him. But what will you do after that? I’ll let them choose how they will die, Miran shouts. He tells Firat to go and not get in his way. Firat gives Miran a paper. They left a few days ago to a village outside of Midyat. They are staying in an old house. That’s the address.

Miran returns to the room and tells Rey that Firat came about the factory. She heard Miran shouting. He assures her it was work related. He has to go to the factory. Rey is concerned. She tells Miran that Umut has check up today. Miran says no worries, he will be back in a couple of hours and they will all go together. Don’t be late, she tells him.

Azize has changed her statement and that allows Cihan to go free. She tells the cop that she was very confused, it was dark and her son was very far away. She didn’t see who shot Hazar. Azize leaves and the cop calls Miran.

As Azize leaves the station she says, no one knows when your time to pay will come, Cihan Sadoglu. But you have to be free for now.

Miran calls Azize. He heard she changed her statement. She confirms it. Miran asks why she did it. Because he insisted on his innocence, she replies, and we should let him prove it. Miran thinks she should have told him first. I didn’t have the chance, she tells him. He says he found Hercan’s family and he’ll tell her about it after he’s done there.

Miran investigates the location Firat gave. Looks like there’s someone watching Miran, too. Miran pulls a guy out of a house and asks, where is Hercan? The man says there’s no one else here. Miran pins the guy against a wall. Don’t lie to me! My father was murdered and Hercan is involved somehow. He’s going to pay!

The man manages to push Miran off and pulls out a blade. He shouts, may God punish him (Hercan). He left us here and took off! I don’t know where he is! A little girl comes out and watches. Miran asks, why did he leave you here? Did he say where he went? The man knows nothing. Miran makes a move to disarm the man and looks like he is about to start a beatdown. The little girl shouts, stop it! Miran freezes.

Now the man’s [or is this Hercan’s?] wife and son are watching this, too. Miran drags the man a distance away. He asks him again about Hercan and threatens to hurt him if he doesn’t tell. The man repeats he knows nothing. Miran tells him he will return tomorrow and if he runs, he will find him and become his worst nightmare. He sends the man back to his family.

The lurker makes a call to Fusun. Miran found Hercan’s family. Did he get them to talk, she asks? No, he said he would be back tomorrow and left. Listen well, Fusun says, under no circumstances can anyone leave or enter that house. Shoot if you must.

Fusun ends the call and tells Halit, do you know what makes Miran and I different? Miran yells at people and does nothing. I don’t show anyone any mercy. I get rid of people. You will do what Miran can’t do. If they don’t speak, they won’t have a tongue to speak with either. Cut their tongues! [she’s truly abominable!] As you order, Halit replies.

Fusun asks what is going on with that other thing? is everything ready? Halit says the men are surrounding the Hope(less) Konak and waiting for her orders. Good, Fusun replies. She calls Seyda and asks him to make coffee.

 

Herc S2 #105 part 4

Cihan has made his way to the Sad konak and sinks at the entrance in front of Hazar’s shoes. He starts wailing [complete with dribble so we will really believe his grief] as he gathers up the shoes and holds them close. Brother! He staggers into the konak, sobbing. He flashes back to some brotherly and not so brotherly interactions. [They got rid of the wrong brother! I don’t feel sorry for Cihan at all!]

Cihan throws himself a pity party. They all believe I betrayed you, they believe I took your life. How could I hurt you? How could I even think of hurting you? [Really, you want me to believe this you jealous idiot?] It gets ridiculous when Cihan sobs, you were my arms and legs, you were my compass in life. You were more than a brother, you were my father. [Waaahhh!] What am I going to do without you?

Nasuh comes downstairs and sees his sniveling son. What are you doing in the mansion? How did you get out? Azize changed her testimony, Cihan replies. The woman you believed over your son, now told the truth. She didn’t see or hear anything.

Cihan places Hazar’s shoes on the steps and gets up. He asks Nasuh, how do you have a conscience for this? You look at me accusingly…. But I understand. You never loved me, but you forget you are my father. Is it my fault I have doubts, Nasuh replies. You changed a lot after we learned the truth about Miran. You didn’t care about anyone else. You wanted to make trouble!

So that means I took my gun and shot my brother, Cihan asks? Is that what you think? Nasuh says that Ayse saw it with her own eyes. Cihan offers, did you ask me if I had done it? You chose to treat me as a murderer. I went to the forest that night to find my daughter. I saw my brother at the last minute.

Nasuh tells Cihan to keep a low profile for now. Cihan says, I’ve heard you say many things which are difficult to forget, but this was the last one. [Turkish] You told me at my brother’s grave that both of your sons were dead. And you were right, now both of your sons are dead.

Handan appears and rushes to Cihan as his comes up the stairs. He sobs right past her. Handan gives a look at Nasuh as he heads down then follows her husband.

Nasuh calls his Ayse. Why did you change your statement? Because it is better for him to be free, she replies. Once we find the weapon, the murderer will get the punishment he deserves. She hangs up. Forgive me, Nasuh, she says, unfortunately, my son comes first. Nasuh says, please don’t turn into Azize again.

Miran arrives at the Hope(less) konak just in time to meet Rey, Zehra and Mahfuz returning from Umut’s appointment. He goes to take Umut and Rey coolly responds she has him. Miran asks if Umut got vaccinations. Rey is still cool to him, she answers it was just a checkup.

Miran apologizes that work kept him longer than he expected and he thanks Zehra for going along and he thanks Mahfuz, too. Rey and Zehra enter the konak and Mahfuz tells Miran that Rey was angry he didn’t come. Miran figured that would happen and he says he will make it up to her. Mahfuz grabs Miran’s arm. He cautions, the late Hazar Bey wouldn’t want you to do anything that would keep you away from Reyyan and Umut. Please don’t forget that. I won’t, Miran replies.

Zehra takes Umut up to his room. Reyyan and Miran talk on the patio. Where were you, she asks? He lies about work. She doesn’t buy it. You’re distancing yourself from us, she accuses. He reaches out to her and she backs away. How can you say that, he asks? She takes his hand and notes a cut. What is that? He fibs, an accident, just a scratch.

Rey demands the truth. What did you do? He sighs and she says, I know that look [unfortunately, we know it, too] What you want is revenge? What did you do, Miran? Are you going to shoot my uncle? Will you become a murderer? That’s not it, Miran replies, I’m just doing a search.

Excellent recap as always, Darcy! Don't worry about typos, we all make them. Sometimes I write completely different words from the ones I want to! I usually catch these by re-reading what I wrote, but not even this is a guarantee!

I was also thinking "where is Gabriela?" yesterday! Lol I thought of Dimi too but I was like "oh well, he's better when he's not on screen".

Jimena and Óscar! Wake up! Even if Romina came to them and told them "I want to kill Jimena so I can be lady of the house" they would say "Nope, this is definitely NOT an attack on us!"

I found it weird that Dimi was the one who had to donate blood. Don't they usually ask family members first? Gabriela has three daughters and five grandchildren! She also has her father and 2/3 (since Franco isN'T here yet!) sons in-law! Did NONE of them have the same blood type as her?!

So, not only Romina sucks at being a good person and a mother, she also sucks at aiming. Question: When Romina was dreaming and laughing e.t.c., did she also think about the weird dancing moves on the bed and the floor? I still laugh at that.

I also wanted Romina to shoot Dimi.

Herc S2 #105 part 5

We are not the same people we were a week ago, she tells him, we are parents now and you should understand. I do, he says, I’m not going in blind. Trust me. [here we go again] Rey grabs his hand. Will you hold your son with a bloodied hand, she asks? That’s enough, he responds, I have no blood on my hands. Everything I do is to protect us. Yes, I missed today’s appointment. But I promise to make it up to you. [promises, promises]

Miran gets a call from Cihan. Rey doesn’t want him to go. I’ll be back in a half hour, he tells her. Nothing to worry about, trust me. He (Cihan) may even be innocent. I just want to talk to him and then I will spend time with you and my son, okay? Rey is not happy.

Fusun and her goons pay a visit to Hercan’s family. The relative is forced to dial his phone. Fusun takes it as Hercan answers while walking somewhere, what is it Omer? Why are you calling? It’s not Omer, it’s Fusun, the evil gasbag hisses. Hercan panics, where’s my brother and my family? Your family are my guests, she replies, but as everyone knows, I’m not the best hostess. Hercan worries, did you kill my brother? Fusun says no, he is still alive.

Hercan turns a corner and steps back when he sees Miran meeting Cihan on the street.

And we are out.

Thank you, Darcy, your recap made perfect sense - I haven't watched yet, but I don't feel like I'm left wondering what happened. I'm still amazed you've only been doing this for only a few months.

A few things that stood out:

1. Gabriela needs a blood transfusion and none of her very many blood relatives who are present and willing give blood, but Dimi does, because why not?

2. Gaby, God bless her smart soul, still can't stand Dimi; what is a guy to do to get his crush to pay attention to him, donate a kidney?

3. Murder and mayhem seem to be part of the Reyes family daily routine, but Muriel would still rather be with them than go back to live with Rosario

4. Romina has an attick? And something is hidden in there? Oscar's balls? Oh, how the plot thickens... Just gidding, if the plot would be any thicker, my head would probably explode - as of now, I'm hanging in there, in a Jimena state of dazed and confused.

5. where is Franco?

Thanks again, Darcy, I think I won't get to watch this until Monday morning, but I'll be back with more thoughts as soon as I can.

Number 3 (about Muriel) is SO true! I never thought about it! I honestly don't blame Muriel (who can?), with Rosi as her mom.

Good point about the blood transfusion and no one asking the family to donate! That is totally weird, I didn't even think about that mostly because it's such a clichéd plot gimmick that I just rolled my eyes and accepted it. I like the way you worded it though, Adriana, 'Gaby, God bless her smart soul, still can't stand Dimi; what is a guy to do to get his crush to pay attention to him, donate a kidney?' ROFL

I could be wrong, I don't know for sure and even if I did it might be different in Mexico, but I don't think it actually works that way IRL. They don't just take blood from whatever willing donor and give it to the patient (maybe in an extreme emergency) that's why there are blood banks and donation centers. Blood has to be tested and cleared before it's safe to give to a patient. Could you imagine what kind of diseases serial rapist/killer Dimi could have in his blood to pass on to Gabriela. The idea of getting a blood transfusion from that guy makes my skin crawl. I think I'd rather bleed out! It would be kind of funny - in a what else can this show possibly do to get weirder type of way - if Dimi's blood started making Gabriela act funny...like all of the sudden she's just so fond of Gaby and doesn't quite know why!!! LOL Just kidding, I hope they don't go that way. This show is weird enough it doesn't need anymore help.

Oscar is really on my last nerve and Jimena is getting there. Where's the fire? The personality? The pulse!!! I want to see her fight back and if she doesn't do it than Norma and Juan need to! This family needs to stop tip toeing around each other and get Romina before she gets Jimena!!!

I am even more worried about Duvan and his safety after last night. Seeing the way Romina is grooming him and then how she could just go right to sleep after and have a laughing dream about it, this woman is C-R-A-Z-Y and cold-hearted, and we already know she doesn't love Duvan. That kid is in real danger being in that house alone with that psychopath!

Weirdo, I don't remember for sure if she dreamt any of the weird dancing, but I don't think so.

Many thanks, dondi356, for another great recap. I was especially happy with all your terrific asides calling attention to what a hypocritical jerk Cihan is, crying over the brother he has deeply resented for many years, and how the "new" Miran is same old same old. Yawn.

I've got very little to add to your detailed account. I too noticed the disgusting drool coming from Cihan's mouth. Rather than making us feel his pain and grief, it served to make him seem like a demented fool (though we already knew that about him without the drool).

I'm really annoyed that we still have two more weeks of this dopey dizi. And of course things will get even worse before they get better (if they ever do). Sigh.

Thank you dondi356! You’ve managed to make this episode worth much much more than it deserves! Like Juanita, I don’t have much to add and cannot wait until this one is OVAH!!! It’s long lost it’s charm, and has somehow made this HEAVY dizi even HEAVIER! Miran is EXHAUSTING and has maintained being a self inflated blowhard throughout! He hasn’t learned anything and is much like his Uncle insufferable Cihan! Cihan drooling like a St Bernard was disgusting and did nothing to enhance the supposed depth of his sorrow. He continued to wahwahwah to Nasuh about him losing two sons, and on that note shoulda thrown himself off the ledge of the SAD konak! I just can’t with him or Fu-Fu!

Zehra is another one, and I’m really hoping Ayse doesn’t revert back to Azize and we’re forced to endure more guns, fighting and bloodshed! Enough already! Reyyan——-dump that loser you married! I’m TIRED y’all!!! REALLY!!!

Another splendid recap, dondi! Your descriptions were spot on and, as usual, you covered some things that confused me.

I was noticing in both last night's and Wednesday's episodes that Halit is becoming increasingly uncomfortable with Fusun's orders. IIRC he actually questioned her about an order on Wednesday. And last night his discomfort showed about cutting out tongues. When she looked at him like a bug she was about to step on, he replied in the affirmative. But I'm wondering if he might rebel. Mahmoud, Azize's guy, never did.

ITA with you, Juanita, and Carmella about the disgusting Cihan. He was sobbing so hard I kept expecting him to dislodge the toupee and have it fall onto Hazar's boots.

I was a little confused, but I think what happened is that Hercan spirited his family out of Midyat and sent them to stay with his brother. I had the impression that maybe Fusun's Goon followed Miran there. Like the rest of you I am SO fed up with Miran. Why doesn't he just let Firat work on this stuff. Firat's success rate is 10 times better than ME-ran's.

And Hercan wanted to speak to Miran, but he probably won't approach seeing Cihan there.

When Cihan blubbered about Nasuh now having no sons, I wondered if he might leave. But of course he's going to stay right there.

I've seen some brutal behavior, but cutting out tongues in the 21st Century. Yikes!

Thank you everyone. Seems we are pretty much in agreement on the good, the bad and the ugly, and the fact that this dizi has gone on for way too long.

Once again Miran runs off to take care of revenge business, leaving Reyyan, and now Umut, vulnerable. I think he’s going to have a lot more to make up for than a missed doctor appointment. Worst galan ever.

Cihan is innocent of shooting Hazar, but I would like to see him serve some time in jail for reflection and repentance purposes.

I hope no tongues get cut.

Novelera, I'm glad you mentioned Halit's seeming discomfort with Fusun's orders. Wouldn't it be refreshing if he undermined her in some important way! Unlikely, but the fact that he showed his reservations twice makes me think/hope it's not completely impossible.

Gracias Adriana! For this fabulous recap so bright and early!! I am working from home today so I watched the episode this morning.

I am just out of ways to say how much Oscar sucks!!!! So he KNOWS he KNOWS it was Romina and that she shot Gabriela in an attempt to kill Jimena and he STILL stays silent?? Tells them they don't need the cops it's a family matter!!!!???? He hits Juan first and then criticizes Juan for hitting back and says HE'S an adult and he doesn't solve problems this way???? Juan should have given him a beat down, he deserves it! This low life KNOWS Romina tried to shoot Jimena, did shoot Gabriela and he is still offering her a house and double child support???

The whole time the guys were taking Rosi to the middle of nowhere to theoretically meet up with Samuel I kept thinking 'Who cares, where's Franco!!!' :)

Romina really is one freaking psychotic crazy lady!!! I can't believe she's attacking Jimena again, already!!! This lady has lost it. I wonder how much further under the sand Oscar can stick his head this time.....I don't know how the writers can possibly redeem him by the end, I HATE HIM!!! And Jimena is still the doting wife???!!!! She needs to locate her backbone and her fight, NOW!!!
