Posting Issues

Good afternoon everyone!

Wierdo is having technical issues. Her recap is written but she cannot post it.

She will post it as soon as she is able.

Diana

Pasión

Weirdo, Diana beat me to it but posting anyway to confirm I am able to post too.

I am officially declaring Hasta que la plata nos separe discussions to be dead. I put up a few thoughts the week it aired. It's not awful. And I am really enjoying Sebastián Martínez' portrayal of the protagonist who will eventually end up with Carmen Villalobos' character. Due to lots of sports, I've fallen behind in watching. I'll give it another week to see how far they'll go with making Gregorio Pernía's character as the "other man" even more despicable. He must be doing a good job, because I loathe the oily scammer he's stuck with portraying.

But it's no fun being the Lone Ranger on Caray. There's been no interest in discussions, so I won't be posting any more.

plata

Hi novelera. You're not really alone. I too have been watching Hasta que la plata nos separe. As you say, it's not awful, but I'm not finding it all that interesting. Certainly not interesting enough to offer to recap. I suspect I will stop watching after a while. Even if I were to continue, I often find Sebastián Martínez quite hard to understand. And his current girl friend drives me up the wall and is also often hard to understand (in more ways than one). So no, I won't be recapping. However, if people just posted comments, that might get a discussion going. Or not. I held off saying anything until now because I was trying to give the show the benefit of the doubt. But the doubts are still there, loud and clear.

Novelera

Several of us Are watching " la hija" on Unimas ,and Dondi is recapping it on the Primetime Univision site.

Plata

I’m having a hard time getting into this one, too. The Colombian accents, which are delivered in rapid fire, are making my head spin. Do most of the women on this show have squeaky voices? Sebastián Martínez is cute as the protagonist, but... My favorites from Sin Seños are here. And I have to say this is a waste of Fabián Ríos! I don’t know if I will stick with it either. I’m recapping Embajador which they moved to 11p! Don’t know yet if that time slot is permanent. I can’t watch that until I get home from work the next day and it will cut into my evening TV watching schedule.

Any thoughts about watching Amor Valiente? I already saw it. I liked it. Not the best I've seen but certainly not the worst. If you're a fan of Tuba and/or Kıvanç, you will probably like it. If there’s interest I would consider recapping on Fridays.

I would hate to see this page go dark for a lack of interest in the offerings.

I'm really looking forward to Teresa Mendoza's return! I keep seeing "pronto".

plata

Thanks for chiming in, dondi and Juanita. I have a sneaking hunch that having watched several dubbed novelas has weakened my comprehension of rapid-fire, colloquial Spanish. Yes, Sebastián can be hard to understand.

ITA, Juanita, about his current girlfriend. And I just feel like screaming every time her father and brothers are shown. This is supposed to be modern-day Colombia? And they constantly paint her boyfriend into a corner about either protecting her "purity" or hurrying up and marrying her. And her somehow arranging a big party and sending him the bill? If this is Colombian humor, I don't get it.

The sub-plot about Luciano having some crony in charge of the Maldonado finances and skimming off the profits is insane.

Rafael and his mother are highlights for me. And isn't his sister portrayed by the evil daughter of Carmen Villalobos in Sin Senos. I watched those very intermittently, so I can't usually put names to the actors' characters in those.

General

Susanlynn: I didn't watch any of La Hija del Ambajador when it aired before. I do remember there was a lot of enthusiasm about it. But I don't think I want to watch Season 3 with no idea what happened before.

dondi: I will definitely tune in for Amor Valiente. If I like it, I may take on a recapping night.

PASION

Weirdo, are you still set on recapping only Mondays? Since Darcy is away this week, I was wondering if you could take Friday for her (only this week) and I can do the other three days of the week.

Also, are you able to post your Monday recap now? Or if it's easier for you, send it to me (e-mail address when you click my name) and I can post it together with Tuesday (later in the day).

Pasion

Thank you, Diana and Darcy for posting here! You really helped me out!

Yes, I think I'll be able to post now. A weird issue with my device didn't let me post yesterday.

Sure, I can take Friday this week, Adriana.

I will post Monday's recap right now!

Pasion
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 60, Lunes, May 16, 2022 - Parte 1/3

In case you didn't see, I'll only recap Monday's episodes from now on.

We open at Bar Alcalá. Gunther tells Muriel to try to get on Samuel's good side or something like that, but Muriel tells him that Sami's her father and she doesn't want Gunther telling her how to act with him. Rosi and Sami come in the room. From what I understood, Sami will stay here, in San Marcos for some time, but not in Rosi's and Muriel's house. He says that they should go back to their house in the city, but Rosi doesn't want to. Sami says that she looks unhappy here.

The twins and Óscar bring Sebila to Gabs' and start talking about Sebila being safer here blah blah blah. Dimi is watching...

Gaby is thinking about Nino. Sarita tries to make her feel better. She then tells Gaby that Sebila went to Gabs' and that Dimi is still living there and Gaby freaks out. Sarita tries to get her to calm down.

Back at Gabs', she and Dominga are being very nice to Sebila and Gabs gave her a dress that looks great on her. Sebila misses her brother and Gabs reassures her that she'll see him soon. She (Gabs) wants her to meet Dimi(!!!) and asks Dominga if he's here, but nope, he's not. (I think that she'll "meet" him at the end of the episode and that's how it will end.) They start walking around the house.

That creep Dimi is talking a walk with Sarita! He starts telling her what to do with HER hacienda and Sarita just stands there like a idiot! He then starts to criticize her children's preferred career paths! She finally tells him that she wants her children to do what they want and be happy. He says that he wants to be her "mano derecha" and kisses her hand! YUCK!!!!!

Sami sees the stage of the bar and likes it. He insults Rosi by saying that there's no way she decorated it, since she's not good at decorating and Rosi says that Panchita was the one who did it. Sami calls her Rosi's ally and Panchita says that she's her friend. Sami continues to call her things and Panchita just repeats that she's Rosi's friend lol. Sami then says that Rosi got Muriel into the whole show thing, but Muriel says no, she offered to join. She's studying Dance and Choreography and Sami wants to help internationalise her. Pancha asks "what about Rosi?", but Rosi immediately disagrees. She wants to perform here, she doesn't want to be internationalised. Sami tells her that she's his wife and will be for the rest of her life!

Pasion
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 60, Lunes, May 16, 2022 - Parte 2/3

Rosi has stormed off the room, Panchita's with her and Rosi is freaking out about Sami's arrival. Panchita says that he's arrogant, manipulative and controlling. Rosi tells her that he can't accept the fact that he can't have her and is still freaking out. Panchita agrees with Rosi that she shouldn't put up with this, but she should do it like a strong woman or something like that.

JD is talking with the twins. The twins tell him that he's upset about Sami's arrival and that maybe it's because Rosi's husband is back? (I'm trying to recall this part from memory, these might not be their exact words.) JD says that he's not interested in Rosi. Érik tells him that he's more worried about Muriel than he is for his parents. (I agree. It's a good thing that he's worried about Muriel, but he's ONLY worrying about her.)

Romina (why do we have to see her again?) tells Duván to play with the kids (Sebila and Gastón, aka Sebila's bro) at Óscar's house. Duván says that Sebila's too old for him and Gastón is too young. Romina asks him to do it for her, like a favor. I hate this woman so much. She, Dimi and Adán are my top 3 least favourites. By the way, where IS Adán? We never saw him again since the day he went on that truck...

JD is talking to Don Martín. Don M believes that something is going to happen. He doesn't know who will do it, can't "see" gender or anything and my subtitles said something about fog. (My subtitles are terrible, but I think they translated something correct for once. When Muriel was talking, they translated "papá" to "Santa Claus". I'm not kidding.)

Muriel calls JD and tells him that Sami doesn't know about them. She says that she's not scared of her dad, that she loves him and that she respects him??? Doesn't she see the way he treats her mom? Sure, her mom is also terrible, but still! Anyway, when she hangs up, Gunther comes in and tells her that her dad is going to see tonight's show. So that means we'll have another awkward mother-daughter duo... He tells her to not be nervous and she responds that she's not. Gunther also says that they don't know how Sami will react once he finds out about Muriel and JD. Muriel tells him to not get involved, this isn't his business. Gunther leaves.

Pasion
Pasión de Gavilanes, Temporada 2, Capítulo 60, Lunes, May 16, 2022 - Parte 3/3

This part is going to be a bit less detailed, I'm tired lol.

JD goes to Jimena's and Óscar's and asks Óscar about the trip his parents did. Óscar does tells him about Franco and later on the episode they go to a bar/whatever this is and talk more. Óscar tells JD not to say anything, but JD thinks he should. His tía and his cousins have been living a lie for 3 years! Óscar insists that JD shouldn't say anything.

Sami watches Muriel's show. At least we didn't have a Rosi-Muriel duet! He seems happy and even gives her a thumps up!

We see Dimi, so we know there's going to be murder and chaos, or at least an attempt to create them. He creeps to Sebila's room and creepily gets closer. (His brain must be like: should I rape her and kill her, or just kill her?) Just then, the lights turn on and we see Dominga! That clever woman slept in Sebila's room tonight! Dimi finds an excuse, that he wanted to make sure Sebila was alright. Dominga doesn't believe him of course. Dimi leaves.

Now it's Rosi's turn to perform. This time, Sami's very angry. Rosi yeets a part of the clothing she's wearing (Gunther's face lol) and when the show ends, Sami yeets it back to Rosi (xD) and gets up. There's even a dude with a gun!

Rosi is mad and whines to Andrés, who is trying to make her calm down. Panchita joins them. Muriel also comes and tells Rosi that Sami's waiting for her. Rosi gets upstairs. Muriel's also upset, she's trying to come upstairs too, I think.

Don M starts coughing. JD gives him a pill.

Rosi and Sami are arguing. Sami wants them to go back to the city they lived, but Rosi says no. He then orders two (or was it three?) dudes to drag her out! Muriel intervenes and tells Sami to stop. Sami slaps her and Rosi starts to scream at him. I didn't hear what she said, but it must have the went the lines of "only I can mistreat my daughter!" Lol, I'm kidding, but poor Muriel has two psychos for parents.

Muriel leaves and Sami goes after her. He tries to make excuses for his behaviour at the show, that he couldn't see Rosi dancing like this e.t.c and Muriel says exactly what I've been thinking, "I did the same thing!" Sami tells her that he didn't come here to waste time. He came here to reclaim what's his, what belongs to him.

And we have the Fin del Capítulo.

Pasión

Thank you Weirdo for your fabolous recap! I am sorry you had to go through so much to get it uploaded.

Dominga for President!!! She saved the day for sure!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised that Oscar actually told JD the truth! I figured he would gaslight him like he does everybody else!

Just don't care about Rosi/Sam/Muriel drama, I try but I can't.

Thank you for taking on Friday for me, I will still be getting settled in at my mom's but I will be ready for more madness next week!

"PLATA":

Novelera: Carmen Villalobos is doing an amazing job in this Telenovela. She's amazing!

"PASION 2":
Darcy: Busted out laughing when you said Dominga for President: if the psycho villains don't plot to kill her then.

PASION

Weirdo, thanks for hanging in there, sometimes technology is the worst! And thank you for taking on Friday, you rock!

Sibila under the same roof as Dimi is a recipe for disaster. I almost hope that something will happen to her just to see how Dimi explains it away. I hope nothing happens to Dominga, though, she's starting to know "too much".

The Caballero family sure is odd, right? I can understand why Rosario would marry Sam, since he was rich and powerful when they first met and she was fresh out men to fawn over. Going by the kids' ages, she must have married him soon after she left San Marcos 20+ years ago and she was in desperate need of validadion. Nothing has changed for her in the meantime.
Muriel siding with her father and being blind to all evidence of his abuse is hard to watch, but somewhat believable, since he's known how to win her over when Rosi has done the exact opposite all her life. I think the more Sam showered Muriel with love, the more Rosi felt threteaned and eventually started to see her own daughter like an enemy.

I'll be back in a couple of hours with last night's recap.

PS: Darcy, enjoy your time with your mom! Can't wait to have you back next week, as w're going into ultimos capitulos.

PASION, Tuesday, Part 1 of 3

Sam is back at the bar, but there are cops not allowing him to go inside. He explains who he is, but the comandante is not impressed. He asks to see Muriel or Rosario, the cop finally agrees, but Sam has to go alone, no goons allowed inside.
Rosario, Muriel and Panchita are inside with the mayor and the Chief of police who welcome Sam to the pueblo. Sam says he’d like to talk a private matter with his wife. The mayor says he’s here to talk about the exact same thing. He understand it’s private, but he has to intervene when physical and emotional violence is involved. Sam mocks him, calling him a marriage counselor. The Chief of police says last night Sam attacked his wife and his daughter, Sam says that’s not true. Rosario intervenes to say IT IS very much true, he was violent. Sam tries to minimize this, saying that bigamy and adultery are worse. Everyone is a sinner in this story. This seems to scare Rosario (bigamy?). The cop says he can talk all he wants but violence against women won’t be tolerated in this town (only when it’s rape and murder, I guess). The mayor adds that Rosario is doing them the honor to be part of their town and her bar is an exclusive place. Of course this doesn’t help matters, Sam even seems amused as he leaves. (for now)

Gunther, who has been watching the whole thing from upstairs, follows Sam outside. His boss calls him useless, he should have handled the situation, not become Rosario’s ally. Sam can’t stand that those imbeciles stopped him.

Panchita congratulates Rosario, but Rosario knows this is not over for Sam. She has to get ready for his next attack – and she needs Muriel’s help, he won’t dare go against her in the same way. But Muriel is not in her room, she left as soon as her father was gone.
Rosario knows she went to see JD and is upset because Muriel isn’t focused on their problems. Panchita says she’d do the same, so stop being such a sour face and let her daughter be happy. But Rosario doesn’t want to sacrifice her own happiness, not even for her daughter. She will NOT give up JD’s love. How can she not be miserable when she needs him so much right now and he is with her own daughter? Delusion, thy name is Rosario Montes.

The Reyes kids are at the table talking, JD says he’s worried about Muriel, but doesn’t share what he knows from Oscar. Eric asks him to stop being so mysterious, they know something bad is happening. JD says he’s in no mood to fight, so he’s out! Quintina arrives to say that JD slept badly, she found him in Don M. room in the morning. Funny the twins are upset because JD is keeping something from them, when have they ever confided in him? Go ask tio Oscar, morons!

Duvan is on his bike when Oscar arrives. They hug, Oscar wants to talk and offers to take Duvan to school. They chat about Sibila and Gaston, Duvan liked them a lot. Oscar asks if he told Romina about them and Duvan admits it. He asks his father if they are his new children now. Oscar says they lost their parents and the entire family has decided to adopt them. But his only son is him. Duvan is happy to hear this, but says he will never leave his mom. Oscar is fine with this, but they need their time together, too.

PASION, Tuesday, Part 2 of 3

Muriel has come to visit JD at the stables (taking a page from Rosario’s book). They make out, Muriel promises to call, but doesn’t know when she’ll be able to come back. More kissing and I love you’s, and then she leaves, just as another car arrives. It’s Oscar with some news. Franco is here! What? Where? How? What did I miss?

Muriel is back home and Rosario scolds her for having left. Muriel apologizes, it was just something she had to do. Rosario insists they need to stick together, but Muriel says she will handle her problems with her father in her own way. Like her relationship with JD, she doesn’t want her mother to interfere in that.

Quintina is preparing a bed, but doesn’t know for who it is. Oscar accepts to tell her the truth – Franco is back in town (What? Where? How? What did I miss?) Quintina start crying and thanking God. Why is he not he going to Sarita’s place, Quintina asks? Yeah, why, Viewerville is curious about that, too. But Franco and JD ask her for discretion, all will be explained in due time. Yeah, riiiight!

Samuel is back at the bar and in Rosario’s bed – he doesn’t like his new ranch that much! Rosario realizes Gunther helped him get inside and Sam has to remind her he was the one to introduce them. She will always be his wife, even if they get a divorce, she will never meet someone like him. Rosario asks him to get out, he calls her ridiculous and asks her to sit on the bed with him. She is called downstairs for her show, Sam decides to stick around and have a nap.

A car pulls up at the Reyes ranch. JD tells Quintina: they’re here!”
In the car Juan tells Franco welcome, as Franco notices this is not his house. Norma asks God to bless them all so they can find the way to help him. Juan asks Franco to put on his sombrero, so the workers don’t recognize him just yet. Franco is frazzled, barely able to stay on his feet. Juan and Norma take him to his new room, ask if he wants to rest. There is a photo of his family on the night stand and Franco asks if they know he’s back. Norma explains that they have to tell them all carefully, it will be a shock for them (but it’s not a shock for Viewerville to have him thrown in the story just like that??)
Juan thinks he should prepare for the reunion, too, considering his situation. Franco agrees, especially since they don’t know what happened.
Oscar arrives, and he and Franco hug tightly. And we actually see Franco smile for the first time.

Dimi has invited Gabs and Sarita out to lunch in town (isn’t this guy searched for by the police??). Gabs talks as if Dimi doesn’t sleep at her house, Sarita notices and Gabs says he’s so busy all day, what with all the wonderful work he’s doing at Sarita’s place. Dimi has to mention that her kids disapprove, Sarita says they are young, they see things differently, it’s normal. The talk turns to Franco (my video snapped, I missed part of the dialogue here). Gabs is saying that if Franco wanted to leave Sarita, he didn’t need to abandon his kids, too. Sarita thinks this is not the right time to mention this and Dimi agrees. Gabs only hopes Sarita will have a good man in her life soon, someone like Dimi, who is the perfect man. And she offers a toast for their future union, forcing Sarita to it (but she doesn’t drink, at least there is that).

PASION, Tuesday, Part 3 of 3

Franco gets encouragements from his brothers, in time he will be ready to face his family. He starts crying, he will never be able to thank them, not in this lifetime. Juan assures him his love will be enough. JD arrives with Franco’s bag – another hug, another smile from Franco… I could recap his reunions with the entire clan allll day long. JD says this will be the perfect place for him to get better and then Quintina arrives to hug him, too and to cry a bit.
Overwhelmed, Franco sits on his bed, and both Oscar and Juan sit next to him, hugging and kissing him. Who’s crying? I’m not crying!

The next scene is of the twins making a ruckus. Quintina asks them to be quiet, their parents are back and need to rest. The twins want to go talk to them, but Quintina stops them. The boys ask for something to eat and sure enough, as soon as Quintina leaves, they want to run upstairs, but hear a noise in the spare room that nobody uses.
They get to the room only to find Franco looking through a box. They hug their uncle and express their happiness. Franco is almost scared of them, so much so that they have to ask what I going on. He manages to get out of his daze and hugs them back.

At night Jimena is trying to get Gaston to sleep and Oscar offers to help. He puts the child on their bed and then they talk about her day at Gabs’ house. Oscar says Juan and Norma are back and Franco, too! The lawyers managed to prove his innocence. Jimena is happy, Oscar tries to kiss her, but she pushes away.

At the ranch, the twins want to drink with Franco, but he’s not so sure about it. Or about being in this house. The twins say he is with his family and convince him to drink. Franco hasn’t had one in a while, so he looks even more dazed than before. Quintina arrives to ask what is going on, Franco tries to stand but is dizzy, faints and falls on the couch. Norma and Juan get there, see what has happened and ask the twins what they have done!!

Rosario is alone once the bar is closed. Muriel arrives to ask why she’s still there. Rosario explains she’s worried about the situation and doesn’t want to go to her room. Muriel wonders what happened with her show, she was beautiful, but seemed out of it. She wants to take her mother to her room, but Rosario won’t go with her, since her daughter doesn’t want to fight her battle.

Franco is OK now, Norma has given him a coffee. Juan apologizes for the twins, Franco says boys will be boys, it was nothing. Thankfully nobody else agrees, since it appears they called the doctor to see him.

Rosario is back to her room and her husband is waiting for her. He offers to talk, make a deal. He says he’s not impressed with her allies in town, and he is the one in the right. Rosario says she won’t stand for his orders anymore. Sam reminds her the money she used for this bar belongs to him – she used the emergency fund that he’d given her for something this stupid. Rosario promises to return him all the money. He says he wants it all at once and then they can get a divorce. Rosario says she has rights, too, as his wife. Sam says that if she admits she’s the wife, then she has to do her wifely duties tonight. He’s staying put and if she doesn’t like it, she can leave.
Muriel arrives just as Rosario seems to be out of options, telling her mother that she’s there for her. Sam looks at her in disbelief.

PASION

So Franco is back. Big beard, looking fumpy and scared, probably suffering from PTSD, anxiety, malnutrition and with God knows how many other physical and emotional scars. Having him recover a bit before he faces Sarita is not a bad idea, but I hope it will be a question of days, not weeks. She will chew him out at first so he needs to regain some strenght before he faces her and that bastard Dimi. I hope he sees his kids first, anyway, they are his flesh and blood after all. We've waited this long for our Franco-Sarita reunion, I actually don't mind if all the other reunions are taken care of before we can focus on the most important one.

Pasión

Thanks Adriana for this wonderful recap! I love your sense of humor! So many good lines but I cackled at this:

'but violence against women won’t be tolerated in this town (only when it’s rape and murder, I guess)' Right? Violence against women is like the town hobby!!

For the first time I couldn't blame the twins. If you keep them in the dark and refuse to tell them what is going on you gotta expect them to act normal - since they don't know anything isn't normal. And anyone who has known those two longer than five minutes would know welcome home shots are normal for them!

But yeah I agree it's a good thing they called the doctor. Franco could probably use a checkup fainting or not. I can wait for the reunion between Franco and Sarita except I want Dimi the hell away from Gaby and Sarita (not to mention Sibila) and I think the fastest way to accomplish that would be for Sarita to hear Franco is back! She would forget Dino's name when she heard that. Even if all she did was yell at Franco she would be too busy yelling at him to humor Domi's advances. Unless she dated Dimi for spite.....

I guess we will see. FRANCO IS BACK!!! I am excited!

I am also off to the airport in about two hours!! Time to go see Mom I am excited, thank you!! Days and days of stress and to-do's, and last minute worries but when the plane boards then it's done and I can just relax and enjoy my family!

OT ...Darcy....I hope you have a safe journey . Sending you good vibrations )))))))

PASION Wednesday, Part 1 of 3

Muriel defends her mother, even as Sam asks her to mind her own business. She never interfered before, but she won’t allow it now. Sam threatens Rosario that she has to fulfill her duties, or else she will suffer. Then he leaves, not before pushing his daughter away, leaving her in tears.

The next day Andres, Albin and Gaby arrive at their house and ask Gonzalo what is going on. But Dimi is the one in charge apparently and he says his only boss is Sarita. Gaby reminds him she and her brother are also duenos of the ranch. Dimi mocks Albin’s presence and says he is planning to build a theme park, something that will bring more money in. Gaby asks the engineer what they are planning to do and the guy confirms Dimi’s words.

Gabs and Sarita talk on the phone about the park, they both think it’s silly and useless, but Sarita didn’t know what to tell Dimi when he mentioned it (!!). Dimi is on the other line and Sarita takes the call – he whines about her kids making it tough for him to work. Andres and Gaby think he’s ridiculous, but he reminded them only Sarita can stop him. Sarita tells Gabs that the kids are upset and she has to go handle the situation. Gabs encourages her to go defend Dimi against that Albin guy. Dominga hears the last part of the conversation and asks if something is going on. Yeah, poor Dimi has a problem, she needs to go defend him and Sibila should come, too.

Andres and Gaby don’t want to waste the money Franco left them on something useless; Dimi says he wants to do something San Marcos has never seen, something that Sarita can enjoy. Andres says she is a smart woman, who always knew how to handle her finances, what is wrong with her allowing this man to interfere? Sarita says she is still in charge, Albin tries to intervene, but Dimi can’t stand when he talks, gets into it with him. Albin eventually punches him and then the kids leave.

Gabs and Sibila are in the car, Gabs is worried for Dimi, not for her grandchildren, who are very impolite and aggressive, too much for Sarita to handle.

Franco and Norma talk about his kids, Norma tells him what they’ve been up to recently. Gaby is in school and Andres is doing his music (she doesn’t mention who he works for). And they both miss their father! Norma says she doens’t know if Gaby is dating, but Andres does have someone, a great guy. And Sara? Alone, taking care of the kids. Everything has been very hard on them, they miss him a lot, and Sara needs him.

Gabs arrives and Gonzalo greets her. She asks what happened, and Gonzalo says that Andres just left. In the house Sarita asks Gaby to talk to her and Dimi. But Gaby won’t get out of her room, so they go downstairs, where they find Gabs and Sibila. Sibila is looking at the furniture, as Gabs and Dimi start badmouthing Albin. When she finally sees Dimi, she freaks out, remembers their meeting and says that she doesn’t want to see this bad man, he was the one who killed Nino. Then she runs outside, screaming scared.
Gaby hears the noise and goes outside, too. Dimi says Sibila must have taken him for someone else. Sarita asks Gonzalo to go search for her. And she and Gabs are going, too.
Gunther is searching through Rosario’s room and she gets upset when she finds him. He is looking through some documents, so she accuses him of being Sam’s spy, which he denies. As he leaves, Muriel arrives to ask what happened and Gunther says he has always been Rosario’s ally.
Rosario is upset with Gunther, she trusted him when he agreed to come with her to this town, but it was just a plan to have her controlled. He was just following orders. Muriel asks why she is still keeping him around, she herself never trusted him hrself, would never ask for his help. Rosario is happy to hear this, it changes things with Gunther. She can fire him now.

PASION Wednesday, Part 2 of 3

Gaby asks a maid what happened and finds out Sibila accused Dimi of killing Nino.

Franco is in Don M’s room, looking at pictures of his family. The Abuelo wakes up and recognizes Franco from his dreams first. Eventually he does remember him and is happy to see him. What he can’t remember is which of his granddaughters’ he married. Haha. Yeah, he’s the youngest Reyes brother, the always happy and smiling one – you need to get that back, he says. But in the meantime, let’s play some chess together like we used to.

Gonzalo finds Sibila’s hiding place, but doesn’t tell the others about it.

When Rosario throws Gunther out, he starts laughing, but she assures him it’s no joke, he’s fired. He says she can’t fire him, he was the one who hired HER – has she forgotten how they met? He is the one who can’t stand her anymore. Rosario asks him to leave again, Gunther remembers how pretty she used to be and how he saw he could take advantage of that. She was miserable, in a town she didn’t know, looking for a job as a singer and that’s when he decided to take care of her – he paid a room for her, bought her some clothes and educated her and as soon as she was ready, he introduced her to Sam. He was the one to convince the man to marry her and changed her life forever. She became the wife of a millionaire – she owes him everything and she can’t waste it all now – he is the only one who can help her maintain her position. Rosario is not impressed, she’d rather go back to being poor than continue being a trophy wife. And whatever she owes him, she will pay back today so she can get rid of him. And then she makes an X on his forehead with her lipstick – Gunther is cancelled! This shocks him!

Then when Rosario is with Muriel and Gunther would like to hear her opinion, too, Muriel doesn’t understand why that would matter. Gunther thinks she should protect him, since he’s always been around, ever since she was a baby. But Muriel says she always kept her distance, doesn’t understand what he’s saying. She can’t throw him away, since this is not her house, but he’s useless to her, she’d never trust him as a friend. Alright, then, Gunther says, just be warned that I’m much more efficient as an enemy than as an ally.

Later in the bar Gunther tells Muriel that she has to know something about JD and Rosario – they did have a sexual relationship, and he knows that because he helped them be together. It was Rosario’s desire, he thought it would make her get over him. But the contrary happened, there has to be something addictive in JD, right? Wink wink. And Rosario could be her mother, but she’s a woman first and the only thing she cares about is JD. Their alliance is not real! And then Gunther does leave, finally. Panchita has witnessed the conversation and sees Muriel hurry out.

PASION Wednesday, Part 3 of 3

Sarita and Gaby talk about Sibila. Sarita doesn’t want to tell the family yet, she will go look for the girl. Gaby says this is Dimi’s fault, always bringing sorrow, what if Sibila is saying the truth? Sarita is confused, she doesn’t know what to think anymore. Sarita leaves and Gonzalo calls Gaby with some shocking news. He tells her where Sibila is and Gaby comes to talk to her. Sibila tells her she ran because she saw that bad man who killed Nino. Gaby asks if she is sure and Sibila swears it is, he was there that day and killed Nino and his Abuelo. Other men were with him, too. Gaby is shocked.

Gunther has come to see Sam, who can’t understand how he got himself fired, after being Rosario’s protector for so many years. And he is supposed to accept him now? Gunther says he’s not forced to do that, he could retire with the money Sam will give him for his many years of service. But he’d rather keep working, he can be of great help to him. Sam agrees and accepts Gunther’s help, especially since Gunther promises to be by his side no matter what. He does look a bit torn, though, especially when Sam mentions hurting Rosario.

Muriel and JD meet urgently, because she has questions. She thought he was an honest man, what happened between he and his mother? JD says they already talked about this and his memories of that night are not clear. But Muriel now thinks what happened between them will always shadow their relationship. JD doesn’t understand this change in attitude (grab a seat on the patio, JD, nobody else does, either). Muriel says this is her mother and she never got over them being together. And every time he kisses her she thinks about the time he was with her mother. And then she storms off. Oh, well, talk about delayed reactions! I think Muriel needed for someone else to talk about this to make it real for her.

Then she gets back to the bar and Panchita asks to talk to her. She says she heard what Gunther said and Muriel asks for confirmation. Panchita doesn’t know if she’s doing the right thing talking to her, since Rosario is her best friend, but she also knows that Muriel is happy with JD and she loves him. Muriel says she fought with JD, she doesn’t know what will happen now. Panchita says it’s not fair to give it all up for what Gunther said, listen to her heart.
Yeah, but my novio and my mom… So what, Panchita asks. He loves you, you are happy together. Muriel is crying, says thank you to Panchita.

The next day Gaby is on the phone with her brother, telling him what happened with Sibila. He says they are all in danger if Sibila is saying the truth, he plans to come over. But Gaby says no, she’s going to school now. Dimi comes to her room, asking about Sarita and who was on the phone? She can’t talk to people on the phone right now, say something compromising about her mother. Gaby wants him to leave her room, he asks what she will do if he won’t.

Duvan is getting ready to go to school, and Romina asks him to go to his dad’s house today so he won’t forget about him. But Duvan says his dad will never forget him, he loves him. Romina tells Duvan not to trust Oscar or Jimena, they are all liars and Bertha is a witch. She gives him some powder to give to the other kids to drink without knowing, so they don’t feel better or more worthy than him. No, they won’t get hurt, she’s not lying, she’s his mother, and she’d never lie to him. Duvan agrees to do what she told him to do.
Why is this woman still around?

"Why is this woman still around?" that's what I was thinking. she should be tied to Dimi and and hit them while they move. Anyway, thank you for the recap :)

Pasion

Thank you, Adriana, for both recaps!

Muriel... Why, just why? Why did she suddenly get so upset about something she already knew? Both her reactions were odd.

Her first reaction: she didn't have a problem with it and she didn't see a reason for JD to tell her! She acted as if he told her that he cheated on Monopoly three years ago. (I don't mean that JD cheated on Muriel, in case anyone makes the connection because I used the word "cheated".)

Her second reaction: I guess this makes sense, but not after re-hearing the same thing.

For yesterday's recap: Franco's back, yay!

P.S.: I hope you had a nice flight, Darcy!

PASION

"She acted as if he told her that he cheated on Monopoly three years ago. " LOL!! Perfect description of Muriel's first reaction, when she just brushed off the whole thing. She even said "you didn't need to tell me this" - thank you for reminding me of this, Weirdo. We didn't actually see JD's confession, but it was made clear that he did tell her about the sex and she was barely bothered by it.
Then, a few episodes ago she was having a dance off with her mom in front of JD, making out with him and putting out quite a show - now she's telling him that every time she kissed him she thought about how he'd kissed her mother. Gross! Especially considering that
they've done more than kissing.
I would have understood her reaction if Gunther had said that JD has feelings for her mother, too, but all he did was confirm what she already knew.

It was nice to see Franco connected with the Abuelo right away, I hope he will feel ready to see his family soon enough... at least his kids - they need him more than ever.

Pasion
Sarita needs to really wake up and listen to her kids. Romina is just so heartless and full of evil, I can't stand her!!! Franco better hurry up and go save the day cos Dimi at this point is getting on everyone's last nerve...except Gabriela of course who sadly and foolishly worships the ground he walks on...guess she never really learned her lesson with Fernando.

Pasion

Thank you for your recaps Adriana! Very informative, and you and the patio make some great points! This delayed reaction by Muriel is somewhat curious. Maybe watching her Mom and Dad’s drama, and then listening to Gunter’s poison, has her running a little scared? “Is this what love really looks like,” she might be asking? And then, when Ole Sam finds out about the tryst between Rosario and JD, and current love affair with his daughter and JD, more drama is bound to ensue. Maybe a little bit of stage fright is called for?

With time winding down on this drama, Demetrio’s desperation phase is close at hand I’m sure. We already know that there’s nothing he won’t do, especially now. There’s an “eye witness” to his crimes, but knowing the cops in San Marcos, he’ll do a lot more damage before he’s through. I hope that Gonzalo won’t get killed behind this! Sarita is really disappointing me, and I’d really rather not see Gabriela at all! A “theme park!” Seriously! And how can you turn over your money and give carte blanche to someone you barely know? Maybe it’s me, but Demetrio is not even that charming!! He’s not that convincing even for the loneliest of women! Gabriela is just a reprobate magnet, poor thing!

Franco looks good, but broken……..he’s obviously had a very rough time of it…….

Question for you loyal viewers and recappers. Now that Hercai has finished and no one is recapping Plata, I'm catching up on Pasion. I mostly understand everything. But there's one thing that confuses me. Did Demetrio ever do anything overt like try to rape Gaby? It seems insane that she's being forced to have him around if that's the case. The one I watched last night showed him almost opening her shower door and then someone called her name and he ran. Is it possible that she's told Sarita what a creep he is and she's not listening to her only daughter? The only explanation I can come up with is that he hasn't actually laid a hand on her and she's going by her instincts.

Pasion

Novelera, to answer your question, Demetrio was (and still is) stalking Gaby. She told her family about it, but for some reason they act like it's nothing.

I don't think he tried to rape her (yet), but he's definitely done some creepy things (like the one you mentioned). She has told everyone that she doesn't want Dimi around, but they don't do anything about it.
