Mi fortuna es amarte #57 Mon. 5/16/22 Natalia Has Given Chente the Rope: Will He Hang Himself or Anchor Himself to Her?

Hey, JudyB, the lilacs are blooming on the patio and their fragrance is permeating the air tonight. We have some lovely blueberry scones with tea or coffee to get comfy with.  Enjoy!

1. Connie continues her harangue criticizing her mother for never being an example for her daughters because she never demanded her rightful place with their father so they could have had his last name. She thinks that the reason that Tere is now supporting Chole  and not her is because she identifies with Chole the whore being "the lover."  Tere must think she is looking in a mirror when she sees her.  Connie sees them as being pathetic because they both are nothing more than a pair of doormats. Tere tells her to shut up and slaps her hard in the face.  Tere stalks off after telling her that she will never forgive her, never.

2. Still at the park, Natalia and Chente agree with the therapist that the next appointment will be in the office. A new little boy Chucho comes over to play with them. Chente invites Chucho to come to play with them on Chente's team since he needs "the help." In tears, Chucho tells Ben that he is so lucky that he has a father to play with him. His father died. Ben gives him a hug. Chente gets them all to play.

3. Over tea, Chole tells Tere that Connie is ungrateful and never should judge her for loving her father so much. She has a stone where her heart should be. Although it hurts her in her soul, Tere admits that Connie is right in part that she is responsible for the failures of her daughters because she never was a good example. She adds that Natalia is now suffering from another disappointment. She broke up with Chente.

4. As Natalia and Chente watch the boys play, he tries to hold her hand but she pulls hers away. Chente says he cannot take Natalia's silence. He would rather that she tell him what she thinks of him thinking that he is the worst person ever and  that she is sorry she ever met him. He asks if she detests him admitting she probably does. She finally turns to look at him and tells him that she doesn't hate him. He admits that he had it all but messed it up with his stupid jealousy. She tells him what Olga told her about what happened. In her version,  he kissed her and then asked her to go to a hotel with him.  When she refused, he left her out there alone. As Chente tries to explain, Natalia tells him to stop.  She doesn't believe one word Olga said because she trusts him the man who she is in love with.  She is sure that Olga  is the one who kissed him and took advantage of his emotional state. She thinks that he got so angry with Olga that he just left but he never should have left her out there all alone. He agrees. Next, she asks him why he couldn't trust her. Why did he condemn her so cruelly? She demands an answer. She wants one reason to stay with him because she has sworn to herself that no man will hurt her again. She doesn't want to lose him. She loves him too much and wants him to convince her to forgive him. She asks him again to give her a reason.

5. In London, Mario gets a call from Adrián who tells him that Andrea is very upset with him because he disappeared from one day to the next. That being said she still loves and needs him  a lot.  Omar assures Adrián that he still loves her, too, but his father is controlling all of his money. He is going to get a loan so he can get a flight home. Adrián is liking what he hears because Omar needs to get back ASAP. They have something very important to talk about. Adrián agrees to get him a ticket on the first flight back to Mexico. He will send him the info. Omar starts to pack immediately.

6. Back at the park, Chente tells Natalia that if forgiving him means that she would feel that she is betraying herself, then she shouldn't do it. He doesn't want to say much more because it seems that anytime he talks too much, he only seems to make things worse. He says he is so stupid and an animal. He doesn't even recognize himself. He lost his head like an insecure kid and couldn't think clearly. He felt like nothing at her side because he looks at her and sees the great woman she is. He doesn't deserve another chance. She shouldn't forgive him.  Natalia smiles through her tears and tells him to look at her.  She has never known a a man as honest and transparent as he is.  Chente starts to smile. She kisses him and they hug. Ben sees them and breathes a sigh of relief as he smiles, too.

7. Andrea goes with Connie and gets an ultrasound. The baby is doing well. Connie is clearly more excited with the news and listening to the baby's heartbeat than Andrea. Connie wipes the gel off of Andrea's belly. She wants her baby to know that she is there. She also surprises Andrea by talking to her baby telling it she is its mother. Andrea is clearly annoyed.

8. Chente asks what the kiss and hug mean. Natalia clarifies things by telling him that all is not lost. She loves him and that they are going to give it another try. Chente is ready to promise her . . . but Natalia doesn't want any promises from him.  She just needs a lyle time. He makes it clear that if she puts him to the test, he will never fail her again. She insists that she doesn' have to do that. If she is putting her heart in his hands again, it is because she trusts him, believes in him and knows that he won't hurt her again, right? He says he will never do that. Also, he will never her doubt her again, never. Natalia is confident that if they can overcome this,  they can face whatever comes their way. Chente agrees and quotes Granny Magos that "Los tropiezos le sirven a uno para hacerse más fuerte" (Stumbling make a person stronger): You learn from your mistakes. He sees their love ending up being the most resilient.

9. Back at the boarding house, Olga is packing up her things. Smiling, she tells Chole that she is going to live at Chente's house. Chole is shocked but Olga tells her that Chente told her it was okay.

10. Natalia breaks the mood by telling Chente she is very worried abut Olga. She knows it won't be easy for her to get over something so very serious and she agrees that he needs to support her. Chente agrees seeing himself being responsible for her misery. Natalia says that is exactly what is worrying her.  He is such a kind and generous guy that Olga could take advantage of him. Chente says Olga is doing so poorly that he won't have peace until she has been able to heal and move on from the experience. He says that Olga asked him to come live at the house. Natalia wants to know what he told her. He says he told her she could and that they would make space of her. Natalia is not pleased.

11. JuanGa is not happy that Olga is moving into Chente's house.

12. Natalia is angry and tells Chente that cannot happen. That is just what she was talking about. He cannot give into Olga's blackmail because of the guilt he is feeling. Chente wants her to understand that he has to live up to being responsible for what he did. Natalia understands him and she also wants to help her out BUT there are other ways of doing it. Natalia asks how long Olga is staying for. Chente says only for a couple of weeks until she is feeling better. That is clearly a NO GO for Natalia. Chente asks her to help him out. He needs her support and help so he can find peace after what he did.

13. The exchange ends when Chucho and his mother come over. She finds out that Ben's mother died just like Chucho's father. Natalia explains to Chucho that his father and Ben's mother are on  brightest star that they can see in the sky. Thye are always there to talk care of them. Natalia decides she has to leave and Chente agrees to stay with Ben so they kids can play longer.

14. Adrián visits with Andrea after her ultrasound and he is more excited about the baby than she is. Connie says they got to hear the baby's heartbeat and how lovely that was. Adrián happily recounts how  he went with her mother to almost all of the ultrasounds for her and her sister and how magical it was. He also comes bearing good news: Natalia and her auto parts salesman have broken up. Both Andrea and Connie are overjoyed! Andrea wants her father to work on getting back together with her mother. He makes it clear that that he loves her mother with his whole heart and will be working on getting the family back together just like he promised her. Andrea trusts him.  Now he is going to take her out because he has a surprise for her. Connie tells him to be careful that Andrea isn't kept out too late. That annoys Andrea.

15. Natalia is in the kitchen when there is knocking at the door. It is Olga. Natalia tells her to come in and helps her with her luggage.  Olga says she doesn't know if Natalia was aware of the fact that Chente was letting her come live there so she could be better taken care of. Natalia says he told her but he isn't home. Natalia helps her have a seat in the  living room. Olga says she is still feeling weak. She lost so much blood from her stab wound that  it is a miracle she is still alive. Olga wants to get along with Natalia so that neither is uncomfortable. Natalia assures her that she wants Olga to be the most comfortable possible so she gets better as soon as possible. Olga thanks her and then launches into telling her how afraid she is. She is having this pain that is making it hard for her to breathe. She asks if there isn't a place for her to lie down. Natalia decides to take her up to her bedroom. Olga is concerned she will be taking Natalia's bed. Natalia tells her not to worry because she is the important one here. Natalia helps her up to her room as Olga moans and groans with every step.

16. Regina sees her mother packing up her things and asks what is going on. Natalia says they will be leaving because Chente was allowing Olga to come and live in the house. She just got done installing her in her room. Regina asks if she agreed with Olga moving in. Natalia says no way. Nobody even asked her but she isn't going to to run Olga out after what happened to her.  That being said she isn't going to live with her either. Regina asks her if she isn't doing the same thing when they left Mario's. Regina asks where are they going to go. Natalia doesn't know but they are not sleeping here tonight. Regina suggests that it would be better if she thought about things calmly. Natalia says no because her grandmother is also packing. She tells Regina to finish up.

17. Claudio isn't happy having to pack up when he has nothing to pack and also doesn't think it is a good decision to be leaving when they have nowhere to go. Tere says there is something called DIGNITY. Tere says fortunately she has HER money from Adrián so that tonight they can stay in a hotel. Tomorrow they will decide what to do. Claudio hates to see them spend so much money. He wants to call Connie. Tere says no way and especially after the way she treated her this morning.

18. As Natalia packs up her room, Olga remarks about how nice it was for her daughter to share her room with her. Natalia makes it clear that since getting Olga better as soon as possible and getting her peace of mind back is the priority for her and especially Chente, she is leaving the house. Olga says that really isn't necessary.  She is sure they would get along.  Natalia repeats that Olga is the one who is important in this moment.  Olga says after thinking about it again it is probably good that she goes not because of her but because of Chente. It would be uncomfortable for him. Natalia says no. She and Chente have fixed things between them and understand each other. Chente wants to concentrate of getting Olga well again. Natalia says her leaving is her way of supporting him. As long as Olga is there, the most healthy thing is for their relationship  is for Natalia NOT to be there. Olga says she never wanted to cause problems for them by coming to live there. Natalia tells her that is something she is incapable of doing. Natalia tells her to rest and rolls her luggage out. Olga smiles.

19. Adrián has brought Andrea to the new house he has  bought for the family. Andrea is all excited because it is the house that they deserve. She is sure that her mother and sister would surely prefer the to the "HermaNaco's" pigsty where they are living now.  He wants her to talk them into moving in. Andrea is ready to move in right now to get away from that control freak aunt of her. Adrián suspects something is up and asks her if there is something he should know. She says no. He is also promising her something much much better and  exclusively just for her.  He is working very hard on it right now. It is on its way to Mexico right now. He refuses to tell her what it is and she is dying to know.

20. Omar gets his reservation from Adrián. He will be leaving for Mexico in three hours. He is all set to leave for the airport when Samia comes knocking telling her Chu Chú to open the door for her.  Omar is in a panic and hides is luggage the best he can. .21. The play date is coming to an end. Chucho tells Ben about how his father just got sick one day and went away. He would usually come home from work and play with him. Ben puts his arm around him. He says when Ben is talking again, he will have to tell him about his mommy. Ben smiles and they dance to some music somebody is playing as their parents watch on. Chucho and Ben decide they are friends forever.

21. Chente comes home announcing he brought tamales for supper only to find Natalia leaving with her family.  Natalia explains that Olga has moved in and is staying in he room. He tells her she cannot go. They have to talk. Natalia says she has made her decision. Ben starts to sob.

22. Samia has arrived with her luggage thinking that she interrupted him and  comes in  looking for his English girlfriend. He says there is nobody there and asks her why she didn't let him know that she was coming. She tells him that she was missing him so much.  Isn't he happy to see her? Of course he is  but he was just about to leave. She reminds him it is two in the morning. He says that is life in London! She makes herself at home on his bed and tells him to bring in her luggage.

23. Ben goes running to Natalia. Natalia assures him they will be seeing each other every day. She has to come over and make her desserts. She will be there with him. Natalia makes it clear that  this is only for as long as it takes Olga to recuperate. Chente thinks it was pretty bad for Olga to move in without even letting him know. Natalia will not blame her since Chente was the one who told her she could share their home. Chente says he didn't  mean in her bedroom. Natalia tells him to leave Olga alone because it is important that she recuperates and gets it over with so she can go back the own place. Natalia explains that if she stays, Olga will not have the tranquility she needs to  get better and get out of there.

24. Samia lets it be known that Omar's father is worried that he has the absurd idea that Omar wants  to  go back to Mexico.  Looking at his watch, Omar says that he sent her to stop him. She says yes. She is there to talk some reason to him but they can do that tomorrow. She remarks how small his rental is. Omar is ready to send her to a hotel. She is insulted that he would send her to a hotel. She will be staying there and won't be moving from his side. She starts to unpack and knows they will be chatting a lot. Omar stands like a statue.

25. Claudio insists on utilizing his diplomatic skills. He suggests that they all stay and have the tamales that Chente so kindly bought for everyone for supper and that they stay until tomorrow when they can decide things more calmly. Tere has to admit that she agrees with Claudio since it is night already. Regina likes those tamales so much. Natalia has to smile as Chente goes down the variety he bought: green sauced ones, mole ones, sweet ones, Poblano peppers and cheese ones, etc. As Ben looks one, Chente asks Natalia to please stay. A smiling but tearful Natalia agrees but insists that they will be leaving tomorrow. Natalia picks up a smiling Ben as everyone cheers.

26. Andrea tells Connie about the  unbelievable house her father bought. She wants to live there like now. Connie says she can live there after her pregnancy. Andrea says she can live with her father without breaking her agreement. Connie wants her living with her so she can be present for the whole pregnancy of her baby.  Connie wants to know all about the first little kicks and everything that is to come. Andrea looks at her like she has two heads. She also wants her child to get used to hearing her voice. It will make it easier for the baby to recognize her when it is born. A clearly turned off Andrea tells her she is saying really "cringey" things.  Connie says they also have to also talk about breast-feeding. She reminds Andrea she is to give her a healthy, strong and very well-nourished baby. After that, she can do whatever she wants.

27. Chente gets Ben ready for bed. He asks if he is sad. Ben shows him he is sort of sad using his hand. Chente says at least tonight Natalia is here at the house and he promises him he will do what he can so that she stays.  Ben becomes all smiley and applauds. Chente tells him not to worry because Natalia will be there when he wakes up. He assures Ben it will all be okay.

28. Regina tells Natalia how much she is going to miss the neighborhood if they go. Natalia says she will miss it, too, but they will not be staying there while Olga is there. She needs her support. Regina says she will always be on her team. They hug. Chente comes back downstairs. Regina decides to let them talk.

29. Chente tells Natalia how bad she is feeling  that she is leaving because of him. She tells him he shouldn't. He is carrying enough of a burden with the guilt he feels for Olga's situation. This is her decision. Chente asks if she is jealous.  She makes it clear that she is not jealous but is a bit angry because she is also an owner of this house, too, and he should have consulted with her before he allowed Olga or anyone else live there.  He recognizes that they barely reconciled in the park and he got himself into this mess. He is afraid of losing her. She assures him that will not happen. She loves him but she needs time and he does, too, to get Olga all well and to ease his conscience. Natalie tells Chente that Olga also needs professional help for her mental health. Chente says Natalia does not have to go. She says she does because she will not be able to help the situation. She wants Olga all recuperated and moved out ASAP. Chente says he is going to put a time limit on Olga's stay and he promises Natalia they will be together again. They kiss.

30. Cue the creepy music because creepy Olga is on the prowl. She visits Ben to terrorize him and to tell him that she is going to be living there with him  and isn't he excited???  She shows him her bruises and says his father made them happen. They almost killed her just like his mother. He tries to hide under the covers or leave but she doesn't let him. She tells him that  that she and his father will live very happily together. Natalia will be leaving the house and she is going to be his mother. Ben shakes his head. Nobody will ever get her to leave that house. They will never be able to drag her out. Olga adds she would never have a child as ugly as him. She adds that  he better behave for her because if he doesn't, she is going to make a call to the place where his father abandoned her and she is going to arrange for him to be stolen. He has been warned.

31. Chente and Natalia continue kissing. Chente offers Natalia the money that Adrián returned to  him so she can pay for a place to stay and he can pay off his part  of the house. Natalia has decided she no longer wants to sell her half of the house. Chente doesn't want to buy her half either. They both want to won the place together.  Chente says that they can take the money that Adrián gave him and set up the patio as the fonda. Natalia says he is a partner and if he wants to invest his money in the business, that is fine by her. Chente concludes they are now "one." He adds that he has found the greatest fortune in this life: their love. They kiss.

I think that Natalia did the best thing possible by moving out because now Chente will have one more reason and real motivation to get Olga out ASAP and if he can't then he isn't the right guy for her let alone marriage material.. Until he gets Olga out of the picture and his life, the dream off owning the house together and running a fonda are mere dreams.

If Omar is incapable of walking out on his mother, he is not marriage material either for Andrea or anybody.

More mañana.

Jarifa , thank you so much for all the details since I still can't watch this show .

Olga is despicable wicked . Connie is creepy wicked . Adrian is a weasel. Samia is a smothering mother .

I am glad that Ben has a new friend . Perhaps he will hear or see Olga terrorizing Ben and tell someone .

Poor Nat is once again packing her bags and moving. Wonder if she and her family will end up in Adrian's new place . ugh

OT..hello Judy, mi amiga. Sending you good vibrations )))))))))))))) ;)

Superlative Jarifa!

To my delight, On Demand is now up to date so I was able to watch while reading your marvelous recap.

"Los tropiezos le sirven a uno para hacerse más fuerte" (Stumbling make a person stronger)” is so true.

Everyone seems touched by the miracle of life, except Andrea! When even Adrian is more excited than the mother, something is seriously amiss. It will be interesting to see how Adrian reacts when he finds out Andrea is “gifting” her child to Connie.

Connie has crossed the line into increasingly unsettling obsession with the baby.

“Claudio isn't happy having to pack up when he has nothing to pack” had me laughing.

In one of the scenes where Natalia, Chente, Benja and Chucho were in the park (where do they find these adorable kids Susanlynn?) Susanna kissed Benja’s shoulder. It seemed so natural, so sweet, so very real. Her acting has always moved me.

When Natalia announced Olga had ensconced herself in her bedroom, Benja was clearly terrified. When is Chente going to pay attention to his son?? While I agree in theory that Natalia did the right thing by moving out, Olga now has free reign to terrorize Benja unfettered. Another sickening scene.

Adrian’s surprise for Andrea has been waylaid. Time to grow a spine Omar.

So will it take one or two more episodes for Natalia and Chente’s renewed happiness to shatter?

Judy, it is a real spring day here, sunshine and clear blue skies. Wishing you fresh air and warmth. Praying every day is a bit better. We miss you so much!

Jarifa, just wonderful. Thank you!

Diana

Thanks, Jarifa, a lot happened in this episode. I loved the scenes in the park. Maybe Ben’s new friend will help him with his speaking. Since they both have lost a parent and can share with each other.

I can’t stand to watch Olga. She got to Chente’s house fine pulling her suitcase and then could barely get in the living room. And the way she terrorizes Benja is too cruel to watch. Chente was a fool to let her in, and he plans to give her two weeks! Good luck with that! I wonder if people are going to suspect anything with her move into Chente’s house. Everyone knows she wants him.

Connie is losing her hold on Andrea. I wonder what will happen when Adrian realizes she’s giving her baby away to Connie. A heart of stone, as Chole said.

Omar needs to just pick up his suitcase and leave. Does his mother think they’ll share the bed!

Claudio finally said something reasonable. I’m sure it was for selfish reasons but he was the voice of reason as everyone is packed and leaving with no place to go.

Jarifa, thank you for another of your tasty and satisfying recaps! There are days, usually Monday through Friday, that I think I would be better off just reading the excellent recaps and skipping actually watching the episodes. Sometimes I do just that.

Constanza is our latest nut job with her obsession with the baby. Andrea is funny with her indifference to the baby. I'm willing to bet a virtual quarter that Andrea changes her mind eventually.

Diana, "So will it take one or two more episodes for Natalia and Chente’s renewed happiness to shatter?" Hmmm... I suspect this is not your first telenovela.

It's not my first TN either, but I still had to groan when Sammie arrived at Omar's door at 2 AM, just before he was to go off to Mexico.

Natalia showed some fancy foot work at the park.

Olga terrorizes Benja some more. (Yawn.)

Jarifa, thanks again for writing these excellent recaps. No one has to write them, so we are very lucky that you, and Jardinera and PrincessJuju, are willing to do so.

JudyB, despite the excellent recaps, things can be a bit boring around here at times without your wit and wisdom. I hope you are mending nicely!

Andy

Andy, I am betting that Con will never get her claws on that poor , defenseless bebe. Since the writers are keeping Omar in the dark about the fruit of his loins and keeping Omar and Andrea separated , I think that they may end up together and raise the Chuchu Jr. themselves with help from Nat and Chente.

I would say they threw away the mold when they made Constanta, but actually Andrea is her carbon copy. —Jardinera654

P.s. thanks for another great effort here, Jarifa!—jardinera654

Jardinera, you are right about Constanza and Andrea, but Andrea is only 17, or is she 18 now? There is hope for her and since we have Omar and the baby involved, and this is a telenovela, I have to agree with Susanlynn that Andrea will be redeemed and she and Omar will raise Chuchuíto. I forget, do we know if it's a boy?

But I think Sammie will very much be part of the family too. I can see her wandering around wherever Omar and Andrea live, going "Chuchú, where has your wife taken my Chuchuíto now?"

Whether Elías will come around to acting human, I don't have an opinion and could care less at this point.

Andy

Thanks guys for all of your comments. Finding out what everyone thinks is always the most fun.

Susanlynn, it never crossed my mind that Natalia and company could end up at Adrián’s new Family home”. I hope she is smart enough to avoid it. It does seem ridiculous, though, that Natalia’s first reaction to formidable problems is to run with no idea of where she is going or how she is going to support herself or, worse yet, her kids. Let us hope that Omar and Andrea end up keeping ChuChú jr.

Diana, like you, I enjoy the proverbs and sayings. The grannies always seem to try to keep everyone’s feet on the ground. ITA about Ben being left on his own with crazy Olga. Last night she was so disgusting that it was hard to watch. If Ben is unable to talk then somebody like his therapist should be suggesting that he learn how to read and write sooner rather than later so he can communicate.

Andy, Yes, that was a groaner with Sammi arriving just as Omar was leaving. So much is so predictable in these novelas but it is comfortable in a way. Too many other things I am watching (for example “Better Call Saul” ) are anything but predictable which can be good but also take so much attention to watch. The park scene was great because they didn’t talk the whole time. Natalia did look like she did A-okay with that soccer ball.

Jardinera, you are so right about Andrea and Connie. Nasty pair!

I'm a little late to this party, but thanks. This is a great recap to an eventful episode.

I think Andrea and Constanza are two sides of the same coin. Both are very narcissistic but while Constanza has invested her money well and made it grow Andrea likes to spend money like a sailor on shore leave. She is just as indifferent to the baby as Constanza is obsessed with it. Nobody knows yet what Andrea plans to do with the baby but if Omar returns and wants to be a father there will be hell for everyone. Adrian will likely offer Constanza all the money she already spent on Andrea. He might pretend to be horrified at Andrea's plans for the baby, but she is a chip off the old block.

However, if he knew that Elias planned on getting custody of the baby if it is Omar's and it's a boy, he will be willing to fight that battle just to get something else over on him.

I think Benjamin can read, but it seems that his teacher understands his problem, which predates Olga's vile cruelty. For which she deserves the deepest hole in Dante's Inferno.
