Season 2 Episode 59 – Friday – Part 1 of 5

We begin with Gaby accurately pegging Dimi as a murder again! She declares to both him and Sara that he looks just like one of the guys who killed Nino and she storms out of the room! Sara chases after her and tells her that she understands she’s upset but she can’t just go around accusing people of crimes!! Especially not people she cares about!! (YUCK) Gaby says she understands and she will find somewhere else to live. Sara doesn’t like this but Gaby tells her it’s how she feels! She looks at Dimi and she sees a murderer she can’t just change that!!! Sara asks if Gaby has ever considered how she felt? No, right? She feels completely alone! First Franco, then Andres and now Gaby is leaving her too!!! Doesn’t she deserve to give a psycho a chance??? (In case you’re wondering the answer is NO!!! Franco come home and wake your wife up!)

Gaby runs to Andres and Albin and tells them that if Dimi moves into that house she is moving out and coming to live with them! She doesn’t care if she has to live in the backyard, she won’t stay one day under the same roof as that man!!! Both Albin and Andres assure her she could stay with them and she doesn’t even have to wait. She could move in today if she wanted to!! (Presumably they would even let her stay in the house and not the backyard!) Andres takes Gaby to sit and calm down and he tells her in the gentlest way possible that he never agreed with her relationship/friendship with Nino. He didn’t want to be judgmental but it was obvious that he was into shady things. Andres knows though that he did it because circumstances drove him to it. Gaby agrees that it’s true, Nino wanted out of that life but it was too late, they wouldn’t let him go!

Albin suggests Gaby forget about Dimi for awhile and really give herself a chance to grieve. He knows the guy is a jerk but calling him a murder is taking it too far. Gaby swears it’s true. She saw one of the guys there, Dimi’s same height, he had a mask on but it was the same eyes! There’s no mistaking that look in his eyes!! Andres just thinks she is in shock. Albin suggests she try to get back to normal life but Gaby can’t even imagine what that is. Andres thinks as hard as it may seem when things get rough you just have to keep going. Gaby should go back to school, talk to her teachers, her friends? They will even go with her if she wants. And she can move in now. Gaby thanks them, she appreciates it really, but she can’t; not unless she’s forced to! Even though all she and mommy do is fight, Sara is her mom and it’s her duty to protect her. She can’t leave her alone and at the mercy of Dimi! (For those of you that don’t know this is pretty much a carbon copy picture of Sara, Norma and Jimena’s attitude in Season 1 when their mom moved in a Psycho. They fought constantly but they refused to leave mommy to her fate – it’s easier to hear from Gaby because I don’t think Sarita is horrible just blind and lonely. Gabriela was awful)

Oscar and Jimena are actually eating together and having a glass of wine. Jimena is happy she met Sibila and her brother; she thinks they are very special. Oscar tries to say he’s happy to be with her but it’s immediately clear Jimena isn’t open to that conversation so he backs off, really quick. They talk about Franco instead and Oscar asks why she gave the papers to him instead of Sara or Juan (I have been wanting to know this too!!!) Jimena claims he seemed like the right person but she doesn’t elaborate. Oscar thinks she did the right thing and he’s excited that they might be able to rescue Franco! Jimena asks if there has been any news and no, not yet. He hasn’t heard from Franco, or Juan or Norma. He’s been distracted by the whole Nino thing but now he’s wondering.

Season 2 Episode 59 – Friday – Part 2 of 5

Andres is trying to work and Rosi asks if they can talk, he tries to tell her he’s writing – you know doing the job she pays him to do – and doesn’t want to lose his train of thought, but she insists it’s important. They go to ‘talk’ and Rosi wants to know all about the incident everyone is talking about and why Andres is hiding things from her. If she and her daughter are exposed to danger she needs to know. She’s talking about the death of Nino and his grandpa and the rumors that the Reyes brothers were there and involved. Rosi wants to know if Nino and grandpa were involved with criminals, if the Reyes are involved with people who are involved with criminals. Andres says all of this is speculation and just people talking, he doesn’t think any of it is true and so what if it was? How does this involve Rosi? Rosi says it’s obvious! Muriel is dating JD! She could be exposed! Andres says that makes no sense, he is a Reyes too and he works there with both of them all day long, Rosi doesn’t object to him, right? Rosi thinks it’s different. In trying to defend his family, Andres makes the mistake of mentioning that Juan and Norma had nothing to do with this they aren’t even in the country right now! (Rosi now knows she can travel to the Ranch without seeing Juan) Muriel arrives to ask what is going on and why they are arguing and Rosi claims it’s all Andres’ fault. She just asked a couple questions and he gets all defensive. Andres says she is always trying to involve him in her plots and she knows why, they both know why. He’s not getting involved! He isn’t saying anything else. Rosi tries and tries to protest but Andres stalks out of the room and doesn’t come back when called.

The twins show up with a present for Gaston and Leon hides his eyes while Eric produces a bike with the fake Vroom sounds and all. They tell him that if he likes it, he can keep it and if not, they will give it to someone else. Leon finally uncovers his eyes and the smile on that adorable little boy’s face is too cute for this dark show!!! He’s so precious and he loves his bike and Leon helps him get on it and shows him how to ride it! Sibila is smiling during this whole exchange so I guess she doesn’t object to them giving her brother a bike. Eric has a bouquet of flowers in his hand so Sibila is probably getting a present too but he hasn’t given it to her yet.

Romina is creeping around in the forest like she does best. Yep, she’s going toward Oscar’s house and now we see her watching the family playing in the backyard. Leon asks if Gaston has ever had a toy like that before and Silbia says he hasn’t. Eric gives her the flowers now and she surprises me by accepting them without protest saying they are beautiful and they smell delicious! Eric is looking at her like he thinks the beauty might be the one holding the flowers and not the flowers themselves. He tells her he understands that all she feels is emptiness right now but he wants her to know that he’s going to take care of her and make sure nothing bad happens to her. He’s never felt this way before, he’s never wanted to make anyone happy the way he wants to make her happy. Sib looks a little uncomfortable but just says thanks. (Darcy is thinking there’s already a psychopath in the woods and another at Aunt Sara’s house who knows Sib has seen his face, Eric had better start looking somewhere other than at that beautiful face if he’s going to keep her safe) Leon comes back with Gas and tells him to turn the bike on again for another round. Gas starts to Vroom but Berta comes to tell them the snacks for ready and they head inside.

Season 2 Episode 59 – Friday – Part 3 of 5

Jimena is in bed remembering what happened the next day. She looks upset remembering her near kidnapping and smiles big remembering bringing Sibila and Gaston home. Oscar comes in to greet her. He rushed home today because he was dying to see her and the kids! (Darcy is dying to see Franco and Juan and Norma – let’s go there next, please writers!!!) Jimena invites him to sit on the bed and thanks him for saving her life! If he hadn’t done it, she wouldn’t be here with him and the kids; it showed her he still cares about her. Oscar says I still love you! I love you! So much…he goes for the kisses and she doesn’t stop him.

Oscar got a few kisses but then Jimena stopped. She’s not ready. She asks for time to get over everything that’s happen. Time is exactly what Oscar wants, time to make Jimena fall in love with him again and time to recover what they’ve lost.

Horrible Romina is sitting down to lunch calmly informing poor Duvan that Oscar is exchanging him for another kid!!! (I hate this woman so much) She tells him she went to his house and saw a little boy and a very beautiful girl there and she thinks he wants to adopt them! Or maybe they are his actual kids, he must have had lots of affairs! Romina wants to know what Duvan thinks and Duvan just shrugs and says ‘if it has lots of kids, he must love us all’ (I love this kid!!!) Romina doesn’t think it’s cute however and goes to work trying to plant seeds of anger in this poor angel because his daddy has other kids now. Romina gets to the point; she wants Duvan to go back to the house he was previously forbidden to go to and find out all the dirt! Duvan doesn’t want to go, it’s not his business and he has nothing to do there but Romina is done playing nice, Duvan is going – that’s an order!

Muriel tells JD about what happened. He kept it from her to not worry her but she found out anyway because of the big fight with her mom. JD wants to know if Andres told them and she says not voluntarily. Rosi hounded him and he was pissed!! He almost walked out on his job and everything and Muriel had to work very hard to make peace between him and Rosi. Rosi finally backed off because she had no choice. Muriel changes the subject and asks when Juan and Norma are coming back? JD doesn’t know, hasn’t even heard from them! Muriel is amazed and JD says whatever they are doing must be more important than their children! JD indicates he won’t tell his parents what happened with Nino when they return. It’s a secret and what happened was really hard on Gaby she’s devastated! Muriel feels compassion for Gaby, she can’t even imagine. She would die if something happened to JD.

Later JD is stalking around the empty (of Juan and Norma at least) Reyes hacienda and it appears he can’t sleep. He goes for some water and Quintina comes to check on him. He’s worried about mom and dad. Quintina thinks they are probably fine and JD is worried about nothing. JD asks if grandpa is awake, his stories always calm him. Quintina says he’s sleeping but he’ll probably wake up soon he never sleeps through the night! JD thinks he could call Uncle Oscar, he is sure he knows something already he just doesn’t want to say. Just then the phone rings and Quintina says there you go, it’s probably them! JD looks at the caller ID, it’s not them… It’s a friend. Can you leave me alone to speak to them?

That’s right, it’s Rosi!! And he takes the call. She claims she wants to talk about what happened she’s worried about what Muriel might be exposed to. JD agrees to talk, no not here at his house!! He will come to hers, tomorrow morning; he just hopes her concern is genuine and this isn’t one of her whims. (If he was smarter, he’d know it was just one of her excuses)

Season 2 Episode 59 – Friday – Part 4 of 5

The next morning Sibila and Gaston are out on the patio and Berta brings a drink for Gaston she sits and talks to Silbia about something she is doing but we can’t actually see what she is doing – maybe she’s drawing? She says Nino taught her, he taught her a lot of things. Nino was a nice person who was so good to her and her brother. Berta says no wonder you miss him so much! Suddenly Berta looks up and she sees Duvan. She’s thrilled to see him and tells him to come over and meet some very nice people. She introduces Sibila and Gaston and Duvan asks if they are his father’s kids but Berta says no, they might as well be though. Berta calls for Jimena and tells her Duvan is there and Duvan tries to leave before Jimena comes and gets mad; but she comes and she doesn’t get mad! She is so happy to see him!!! She hugs him tight! She just wants to know if he came because he wanted to or if he was sent? He claims no one sent him and she says great! She’s been thinking a lot about him and she is glad he’s there. She too introduces him to their new houseguests.

JD arrives at Bar Alcala, Gunter is surprised to see him and looks suspicious. Rosi is ordering the maids to clean quickly and make the room look nice for her visitor but Gunter arrives to tell her it’s too late, he’s here! AND WAITING IN HER ROOM?? She runs off (in her nighty) to greet him telling Gunter no one can interrupt, especially not Muriel. Gunter questions if she’s truly going to go see him wearing that? But of course, she is. She goes to her room, shuts the door and plays with her hair while in the breezeway, she walks around to where a man is waiting and says somewhat breathlessly ‘Juan David?’ But nope!!! It’s Samuel Caballero, her husband!

Gunter returns to the bar and tells JD that Rosi won’t be able to see him today. He scoffs and thinks it’s a game but Gunter tells him she just told him she couldn’t. JD should be feeling like he got a get out of jail free card, but instead he’s offended that he drove all the way out here and she just sent her lackey to dismiss him. His time is valuable too! Gunter tells him a very important guest arrived, her husband! (Why doesn’t he just go see Muriel instead?)

Rosi is upset Samuel showed up without notice but Samuel thinks he hinted at it enough times. Rosi doesn’t like surprises and Sam tells her to show some respect! He doesn’t like the way she is dressed, go put on the necklace I gave you for special occasions. Rosi tells him he’s insane and what exactly does he want. Sam is tired and the ranch he rented isn’t up to his liking, it will take a day to fix it up. Fine, Rosi says, stay here until it’s fixed.

Speaking of fixing things up, Sara, Jimena, and Gabs are checking out the newly remodeled study and oohing and awing over all the paintings. They are talking to a reporter (?) and a photographer is taking pics. Gabs is quick to inform it was all Dimi’s expert eye…..FRANCO COME BACK NOW AND SAVE US FROM THIS!!!!

Rosi goes to change clothes but Sam tells her she isn’t going to get dressed, she’s going to get naked!! She says don’t you dare but he is unimpressed. She is his woman and as long as they are married, she WILL fulfill her martial duties. Rosi says he can’t force her to do anything and he just shrugs and says, I’m not going to force you, you are going to do it willingly and cheerfully, understood?

Sara is telling her mom and Dimi that Gaby is getting worse instead of better. Dimi wonders if she needs professional help but Sara doesn’t think it’s that serious. Dimi moves on to talking about what a punk Nino was and how he was probably responsible for the attack on the ranch. Gabs takes the opportunity to criticize Sarita and tell her she never should have allowed Nino that close to Gaby.

Season 2 Episode 59 – Friday – Part 5 of 5

Sara has had it with both Gabs and Dimi and tells them to stop speculating. Everyone makes mistakes and Nino was a good man. He was trying to build a new life for his family. Gabs can’t believe Sara defends him but Sara feels very bad for Nino. He was trying to better himself and he got caught up. But now we have to protect Gaby, Dimi says, from the fallout. Oh hey, he mentions as if it’s an afterthought what about those kids, do you know where they are? Sara stupidly mentions they are at Oscars. We know what Dimi is thinking because he flashes to seeing Sibila at the crime scene! Sara mentions they might be in danger at Oscar’s because Romina is a psycho. Dimi has a wonderful idea and Gabs agrees all his ideas are wonderful; until she hears it! Dimi thinks Gabs should take charge of the kids!! Who better than her to take care of them, right?

JD is walking to his car and talking to Muriel on the phone. He tells her what happened with Gunter and he wants to know if her father is really there. Muriel doesn’t know, she hasn’t got out of bed yet. Muriel wants to know what JD is doing coming to visit her mom so early in the morning and he explains about the phone call. Muriel doesn’t like her meddling in their lives. JD thinks if Sam is there he should come back inside and meet him but Muriel thinks they should wait. This isn’t the right time. There’s a knock on her door and she quickly says she will let him know when she finds out what is going on. She sends him kisses and hangs up; yelling come in. It’s Gunter confirming that Samuel Cabellero is in the house!!

The family meeting is still going on at Juan’s ranch even without Juan and Norma present! LOL Gabs, Jimena, Sarita, Oscar and Eric are gathered to discuss the idea of the ‘kids’ going to live with Gabriela but Jimena says no way, they are staying with us! Gabs says ordinarily she wouldn’t object but with Romina on the loose they are in danger at your house! She lists all the things that have happened there and Oscar tries to claim that’s all resolved but it clearly isn’t, and that’s easy enough to point out. Next, Eric suggests Sibila and Gaston could come stay with them but Sarita says it’s a big ranch with lots of employees and Sibila is very beautiful; after what happened to Norma she doesn’t know if that would be a good idea. Gabs says absolutely not! While Juan and Norma are gone none of you can be responsible for those kids, they will come live with me! NO!!! Jimena puts her foot down, ‘Gaston is not leaving my house, period!!!’ (It appears Jimena is attached to that little angel already and I don’t blame her he is so adorable)

Gabs suggests they let Sibila decide and they go to Oscar and Jimena’s to ask her this exact question. Sibila of course doesn’t want to be separated from her brother and that should have been the end of the story but Gabs says some nonsense about it being temporary and only for her safety. (This makes no sense because if Sibila is unsafe at Oscar and Jimena’s, Gaston is too so why separate them??? After what they’ve been through it would be traumatic and cruel to both Sibila AND Gaston to separate them) Jimena backs up Sibila and tells her mom to let it go. She said she would abide by Sibila’s decision and she made one. No more. But Sarita inexplicably backs up Gabs and says it’s only temporary, please! I promised Gaby and Nino I would protect you and I want to do right by that!!! (#$%! Someone please, GO locate Sarita’s brain, stat!!!)

Romina has got her gun now!!! In her lap, in her house, planning her next move. Duvan walks in and sees and he wants to know what is going on but she blows him off as always!!!

And there the episode ends.

And there you have it. Not a terribly eventful episode but it was cute to see the twins bond with Gaston. I suppose having Samuel arrive could be considered eventful, I am more or less bored with that storyline though. Although, the 'I'm not going to force you, you are going to do it willingly, understood?' treatment from Samuel was horrifying!! Not surprising but horrifying. This woman has no healthy relationships and she didn't 20 years ago either. A lifetime of abuse has made her the unstable abuser she now is.

I sure hope they don't convince Sibila to go to Gabs' house although it did occur to me that it would suit Dimi's purpose just as well to have them stay at Oscar and Jimena's. He could creep through the woods like the other psychopath does and shoot them from a distance. Everyone would believe Romina did it, and he would probably get away with it!!! I hope he doesn't of course, but it would actually be a lot easier to cause harm from Jimena's house where he isn't suspected than get to them from Gabs house where it'd be more suspicious. Either way, please please please, don't let him get anywhere near them!!! Gaston saw his fact too, right?


At this point I am guessing we aren't going to see any of the Franco rescue scenes. I guess they just saved $$ by not shooting much at another location? I am disappointed.

Thank you Darcy for another well written recap along with your excellent commentary! These people are getting on my nerves again, lol! Rosario will do anything, and I do mean ANYTHING to get JD within 2 ft of her! I also blame JD, though, cause he clearly sends mixed signals. Why can’t he just tell Rosario for once and for all that he is in love with Muriel, and wants her to stay away from him! Is that so hard? I’m glad Andres can see right through her schemes and won’t put up with her nonsense! Yeah, you can tell by the way her husband was talking to her that some abuse has been forefront in their relationship, but I’m sure Rosario wasn’t an innocent victim in seducing him in the first place. That’s just her MO. I don’t condone abuse in anyway, shape or form, and she has every right to get away from it, but the woman needs a lot, and I do mean a lot of self reflection and therapy! Stop looking for other people to validate you and validate your damn self!

Romina, like you Darcy, I can’t stand! She is like the terminator with her one track mind! There’s no reasoning with her, or pacifying her. She cares nothing about Duvan, Madrina or even Oscar. She just wants that house and to be queen of the mansion. Oscar should just give it to her and then blow it up! Preferably with her inside! Lol!

Yes, Sarita is lonely, and it’s making her blind and stupid! Gabriela is just stupid! Entitled and believes that her opinions are the only one’s that matter! Leave Sibila and Gaston alone! They’ve suffered enough trauma! Gabriela thought the worst of Nino anyway, so why would she want his surviving family to move in with her?!?! So stupid and silly! All of them are about to choke on dirt when the truth about Demetrio comes out! And I hope that when he dies, it will be the women who kill him! He deserves to die at the hands of those he’s perpetrated most of his crimes against!

I honestly did get mad at Jimena a little bit for giving into Oscar so soon, but honestly again, they all, the Reyes’ and Elizondo’s NEED to be a united front and force to be reckoned with against the PSYCHOS!

I literally wanted to tear out my hair just watching Gabriella allow Demetrio make suggestions in matters that do not concern him and actually try to force her own daughter's hand because "saint Demetrio" said so. I'm just beyond exasperated at this point. Sarita's backbone wherever you are please come back, she didn't mean to lose you. Glad Gabby has moved in with Andres and Albin. Romina just keeps on being less than smart. What an episode...hurry backa and save the day Franco!!!

Good job, Darcy, and I totally understand your frustration with Franco's situation. He'll probably show up in the last week with some sob story and Sarita will run into his arms, because the alternative is a life of solitude or Dimi (shudder).

Nothing more to add about Dimi, you guys have said it all. I don't get him wanting to be close to Sibila either, but I agree that nobody is safe in Oscar and Jimena's house right now, they should all move out immediately and burn that place down.

Rosi has her own agenda when it comes to her "worry" about Muriel, but she is actually right that her daughter is in danger every time she is around the Reyes Ranches. Too bad she is a completetely deranged woman.

Weirdo, thank you for Wednesday recap, I didn't get to watch the episode and once I read your entertaining words I realized I didn't care to watch a Nino centric episode. If someone had to die, let it be him, he was ko good for Gaby.

Darcy: Good Job on the recap of last night's episode. Something tells me Gaby might have a tragic & deadly accident since Dimi will make his dirty little secrets will never get exposed.
