Copying this from Page 1. Posted it so late doubt anyone saw it.

Very late to the recaps and comments today. Thanks so much VVS for your pretty comprehensive description of what happened. My company keeps expecting me to really work from home instead of spending time on Caray!

I just can't get over DA Cihan. He looks 15 years younger. I have noticed, however, with co-workers who get a wild hair and shave off a beard I've seen for years, that they look SO baby-faced. He DID have a beard in Hercai, didn't he? Or maybe he had some "work" done to get younger roles.

It was nice to see Korhan actually put two and two together when a call came through from Cahide. That is to say he realized that Cahide had to be the one who gave Bulent the combination to his safe. Also, Cahide flat out said that whatever she was asking Bulent to do could not be worse than setting a fire (the one that Cesur saved Tahsin from way back when). So she's still using that weapon to get him to do her will. Why Bulent doesn't just say: your secret is more explosive than my secret, so go right ahead and tell Tahsin and/or Korhan I started a fire makes no sense.

I noticed that Hulya was wearing some kind of black poncho that flared out from her shoulders. I think that was why no one could see the "bump".

Will do a quick and dirty recap tonight.

#32

Once again we get a teensy, tiny happy scene as Suhan blows out her birthday candles while her new family applauds (Cesur, Fugen, Kemal, Sirin and Fugen’s nurse). That’s about it for happy moments.

Cahide tells Hulya not to leave her apartment, but she goes to get food and Korhan is there. Viewerville thinks she might spill the beans and we see Korhan put his phone on record. But she spins a pretty creative lie. She says it’s right Cesur didn’t send her, but she saw a picture of he and Cahide in the paper and was struck by what a loving husband he was. DA Cihan comes in and sees them together.

Caan, Rifat’s son, gets a locked drawer open in Rifat’s garage and takes out a gun.

Banu tells Cesur they caught the truck driver who ran into the prison van. He’s had a lot of things on his criminal record and last year lost his license to drive.

Suhan gives Fugen one of those bottles with her husband’s poem engraved on it.

Suhan is completely happy and kisses Cesur before he leaves, agreeing that they’ll be together forever.

Cesur sees a video of Rifat’s garage on his phone. He thinks Caan is coming for him, but he’s come for Tahsin. He tells a guy at Tahsin’s gate that he’s come from Modlug.

Tahsin believes Modlug sent the boy and comes to the door saying: “You caught him?” referring to Riza.

Cesur arrives, sort of breaking into the gate and sees Caan with the gun pointed at Mean Daddy. He tells the boy that his mother called and said that his father will be all right.

At the fiscala DA Cihan tells the truck driver that the evidence shows he never braked. The guy says that Cesur hired him to cause the accident. Almost immediately we get one of those revelations by flashback. It shows some guy coming into the truck driver’s cell and talking with him.

Cahide has come to Korhan’s office. He’s asleep. She is reading Hasan’s letter. [I can’t remember how Korhan got that letter and how it got into his safe.] The letter is to Tahsin. Hasan says he’ll go home to his wife and son after taking the paintings that cost his parents their lives.

Suhan comes to the fiscalía and thanks Caan for not shooting her father. She assures him she’ll do what she can to be sure justice is served, but she doesn’t want her father shot.

In the crooked warden’s office Banu’s father is trying to get to the bottom of Riza’s letter. He puts Cesur on speaker and is questioning the young man we saw reviewing prisoners’ letters before letting them be sent. Cesur tells him that the letter in question was destroyed, but he wants the guy to remember whatever he can. [We see the crooked warden squirm.] Finally the guy comes up with it: Your father died twice.

Tahsin walks into the fiscalia and Cesur yells at him what the letter said and what does it mean. Cesur says he wants his father’s body exhumed.

Tahsin retorts that the truck driver confessed. DA Cihan: “How did you know that?” DA Cihan says that they didn’t believe the truck driver and that “they” gave him Cesur’s number after he was captured.

Tahsin is arrested for helping a prisoner escape. When they try to put him in a cell, he has a memory of a boy (himself?) being locked in a room.

Suhan tries to intervene about her father being put in a cell. Tahsin just calls her a traitor. Then he goes inside. Cesur comes up to the cell and tells him he’s where he belongs. We can see this wasn’t a clever move by Cesur because Suhan gives him a look.

Banu comes to tell them that there were lots of calls between the truck driver and Modlug. When Suhan wonders how this implicates her father, Banu says that there were lots of calls the week before between Modlug and Tahsin. Banu gives Suhan an incredulous look when Suhan says these are only suspicions.

Korhan finds out the letter is gone. Cahide comes to Cesur’s house trying to make nice. She peeks at the back of one of Hasan’s paintings and recognizes the seal or whatever it is of Hasan.

Many thanks, novelera, for this very informative recap. You've covered everything important. I just want to ask one question and offer some observations.

My question: when the police are interrogating the truck driver, they tell him that it's a serious matter, two people died. Oh? Did the guard inside the van get shot by Modlug/Mutlu and die? Even if that's the case, who else died?

I wrote "Modlug/Mutlu" because I've noticed that the name is spelled differently in the Spanish and the English captions. The Spanish have Modlug, while the English have Mutlu. Also, Rifat's son is Caan in the Spanish captions and Kahn in the English. Most of the other characters' names are spelled the same in both. I would pronounce Caan and Kahn the same, but Modlug and Mutlu??

I'm really impressed with the technology Cesur and Rifat have installed. Cesur is driving and watching cameras from Rifat's apartment and/or garage on some little device. That's not exactly a recommendation for safe driving, but....

Of course, Cesur isn't the only one taking advantage of modern security technology. We later see Korhan looking at the security camera footage from his house on his cell phone. He sees that Cahide has the letter he's been frantically looking for. I'm not sure how she got it, since I think it was Korhan who removed it from the safe.

As you note, novelera, at the end of the episode Cahide looks at the back of one of the paintings and sees Hasan's sign. I think she notices that it's the same sign that is on the leather folder that held Hasan's letter. Just what she'll do with this information remains to be seen.

Thanks novelera for covering all the important stuff concisely! I’m ready for much more “happy” myself! Way too much shouting and strutting peacock behavior going on for my taste! Mean daddy cares a lot more about his name and holding on to who he has made himself into be “Tahsin Korludag,” than about Suhan and Korhan put together! You’re in your “sunset years” Mean daddy, let yourself and everyone else be free! I also have to wonder if we’ll now get snippets of Mean daddy’s past, and that they’ll somehow morph him into a “redeemable” character. Seems these dramas like to redeem the otherwise “unredeemable.” Glad though that the DA is on top of things! Mean daddy said a little bit too much this time! Yay!

I was also disappointed in Cesur last night. Gloating does not become him, especially in front of Suhan. It must suck beyond suckdom to be Suhan right now! Mean daddy is still her father, and Cesur gave no though to Suhan’s feelings. Gloat on your own time Cesur! Yeah, I get it, this has been a long time coming and you couldn’t help yourself, but for the people we love, we rise to the occasion! Cesur will lose Suhan again (not a spoiler, just an inevitable guess, lol) not so much because of his revenge, but because of his behavior that he’s starting to have a hard time controlling. Remember in the beginning episodes how controlled he was, and how he would go off and cry by himself………. Also, is seeking justice revenge???? I think that the two get caught in the crosshairs in these dizi’s……..is a person’s “intent” they key??? A little confusing…..but what else is new, lol……

I’m sick of the chicken heads, and it’s high time that they were both neutralized! They’re both diabolical, but Huyla’s facial expressions are pure evil as she enjoys tormenting Korhan. Cahide, otoh, is diabolical in plotting this whole thing, and making it up as she goes along. She’s a quick thinking chicken head, but she’s also too greedy for her own good, and that will be her downfall. Plus, she’s always talking smack, and karma’s gonna turn around and smack her back in that big lipped botox mouth of hers!

Bulent’s another one, and now it appears that he’s going to try and turn his “charms” ( really, does he have any??) on Banu. Bulent always has that dazed and confused look too, cause he’s not a good liar. He’s just a petty, petty, little man, who has to follow Cahide’s lead. It’s a shame cause I really do like Mirhiban. Her son is a “Loser” though……..

Novelera, Juanita, and carmella, thank you the your comments which helped me to understand what's going on.

DA Cihan is on the case . He's everywhere . Hulya's eyes got big when she saw him enter the restaurant when she was taLking to Korhan. I get a kick out of the way Huly and Kor keep running into each other . DA C always has a very serious, intense look on his face . This is a different role from the envious, petty guy he played on Hercai.

The guy who entered the Truck driver"s jail cell showed him something written on a small piece of paper and seemed to indicate he should memorize it ...then he ATE the paper !!! I suppose Caesar's name was on that paper. Gah.They could have entitled this show " Cesar Did It."

I think Cesaer is crowing a bit more after the museum dinner date and Suhan on board with the marriage again. He seems to vacilate between revenge mode and romance mode. When Suhan gets ticked at him going after her father, he pulls back and calms down and ratches up the romance . A pattern seems to be forming.

This show is great, there are cameras EVERYWHERE. I thought Emir in AMOR Eterno was over the top with cameras, but this one tops it. Literally no one makes a move without being recorded. Which is great if it works out in your favor but kinda creepy otherwise.

Now I have to a question about mean Dad and amantes now current wife.

Okay both were orphans but in different orphanages. There is also an age difference. So how did they meet? As a former orphan, did Tahsin seek to help young promising orphans?

Thanks novelera for reposting your comments from the day before, I did not see yours or carmella’s great comments from yesterday. I like the beardless DA Cihan, he looked so much older with the beard in Herc. It was Cahide who gave Bulent the combo for the office safe only to have the passport in an unlocked desk drawer. I agree that Bulent could spin the house on fire thing into something much less than “I am faking having your baby” with a lunatic prostitute.

On to last night epi, thank you so much for the great recap! Tashin’s web of lies and methods are getting smaller and smaller. Even having the thug take the piece of paper into the jail cell with the truck driver, making him read and remember Cesur’s name, then eating the slip of paper with a menacing look, was discovered by Cihan the DA.

Regarding the Hansan’s letter in the leather pouch, I have no idea where Korhan got it, but it was in the safe and he took it out. I am glad Korhan reviewed the cameras in his office to see it was Cahide who took the letter.

I guess I am the only one who doesn’t feel sorry for Suhan. Cesur has been clear with her from the beginning. She even told Caan that she was in a difficult position knowing her husband hated her father.

I also didn’t have a problem with Cesur gloating a bit seeing Tashin behind bars. Yes, Suhan is in the middle but sooner or later she is going to have to open up those eyes and see the real Mean Daddy.

Fev, Tashin and Adalet were both raised in orphanages and clearly at different times. All we know so far is Tashin “rescued” Adalet from sex slavery run by the orphanage director and potentially her brother Riza. He told the DA a few episodes ago that he met her in the forest being sold out for the night. Not sure if he was the buyer that night. I doubt if he was out to help orphans.

I love our little community and I thought that talking at (I hate English. Is it in, on or at?) an instant messaging platform would be nice.
I thought that I could start a Discord server about Caray. The servers are the main part, but you can add people as friends to talk privately as well. And since I don't really have social media, I thought Discord would be a nice alternative. You know, for the extra stuff that we want to write.
Are you guys interested? If so, tell me, I'll create a server and send you the link.
I have also posted this in the Univisión page.

OT..Weirdo, I teach ESL, and in grammar\writing class, I do a whole unit about prepositions . My students get very confused about preposi tions.

" talking on a platform "

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for your excellent comments Juanita, Fev, Carmella, VVS, and susanlynn!

Juanita, I have no idea who else was shot during that screwed up attempt to kill Riza. But didn't Modlug have several guys with him in the car following the supposedly "official" police van? Maybe the deceased can only be known as Thug #3. Thanks for mentioning Korhan going into the security cameras and seeing what Cahide did. He's not a COMPLETELY dim bulb. I have also noticed odd spellings of Turkish names in the subtitles. I have caught up on Infiel and the main character's name is shown as Aysa. But when I googled the dizi to see if anything was posted in either English or Spanish that might interest me, the name came up as Asiya.

Carmella, I do not anticipate a redemption for Tahsin. Burning up elderly people to get your hands on their son's valuable artwork doesn't seem redeemable. Not to mention all the things he's done since Cesur came to town. And, yes, how in the world did Mihriban have such an epic fail in bringing up a child? And you and I are in agreement that Cesur would have better served his relationship with Suhan by just seeing Tahsin behind bars and zipping his lip. It was interesting that he was refusing to get into the cell until he caught sight of Suhan. A ploy to gain sympathy?

Susanlynn, thanks for mentioning the small piece of paper in the cell. I had no memory of anyone eating it, but I'm sure you're right.

VVS, I laughed out loud at "faking having your baby with a lunatic prostitute".

Fev, yep, these rich folks have everything on camera. I guess chicken head Cahide (thanks, Carmella) didn't think about the ever-present cameras. Of course, until recently she's had clear evidence of Korhan's gullibility. She may have not thought him capable of checking.

Sigh, I'm with Banu. I just get disgusted when Suhan tries to come up with excuses for her sociopathic father's evil acts.

Weirdo, thank you for offering to start a server on Discord. Not sure about anyone else but my preference is communicating through email when there is an issue to discuss…or just to keep in touch. All the official recappers (by official, I mean that they have accepted an invite from Blogger to become authors on the blog and have the ability to post pages) are required to have gmail addresses; so another option would be to use a chat or start a conversation via gmail.

BTW, if you are interested in becoming an “official” recapper, email me at rgvchick627@gmail.com and I will gladly send you an invite.

I’m going to comment now because I have a very early day tomorrow and won’t be available until late evening…..

Another pretty decent episode, given the fact that the crooks are winning, and certain “naive” people are believing the lies. After all the trouble that Mutlu had to go to in order to follow Mean daddy’s orders, he now has to take the fall too! Not that his crime or crimes shouldn’t be punished, but that Mean daddy is off the hook, and “out of reach” once again. See how Karma works, and Cesur got it swiftly in the gut after his gloat episode from last night. The universe was probably gonna set Mean daddy free, for now, either way, but this was a direct slap in Cesur’s face. Then the band playing and Mean daddy giving a speech upon his release!?!?! WTH! Mean daddy’s karma return is going to be an EPIC JOY to watch! Him and his band of three stooges! At least Adalat had the wherewithal to be worried!

Korhan is a wimp! A roach coulda took that letter from Cahide! No wonder Mean daddy is so cruel to Korhan. He definitely isn’t a chip off the old block! And while I don’t think for a minute that he should be, his avocados need some growth hormone! A lot of it! Cahide is a slick and conniving chicken head, and I thought for a minute that Sirrin noticed that her belly wasn’t a belly at all…..

Suhan was getting on my nerves again! She rails at Cesur about him not being able to be objective, and neither is she! She acts like situations can’t be manipulated where Mean daddy is concerned, but can be where Cesur is! She’s a runner too, and not only in the sense of jogging. Every time things get tough between her and Cesur, she runs away. For once, Sirrin had some common sense words for her, along with Kemal. But Suhan still ran when Cesur needs her most. He needs to know that she believes in him, but unfortunately, Mean daddy is winning…….

And what is chicken head number two up too, falling and faking an injury outside of the DA’s room? The DA really impressed me with saying good riddance to bad rubbish, so quickly! Did you see the look on Huyla’s face when he closed the door! I cracked up! She needs a few more doors slammed in her face! Lol…

Also, “Something wicked this way comes,” and his name is Riza! Did he or did he not look like an evil specter standing atop of that building, silhouetted against that dark sky! He’s probably more wicked and evil than Mean daddy! And we’re about to find out…..

Surprisingly, Bulent showed some minute charm while having dinner with Banu. Glad that Banu laid down the law, and told him that Cesur is off limits, along with any lies or dishonesty. Bet he’ll try though. I tell you, Rifat and Mirhiban would be a SUPER couple! Both of them are on the ball!!!

amor-val

Thanks VERY much, carmella, for your terrific observations to get the discussion started. I loved your remarks on karma. First, "See how Karma works, and Cesur got it swiftly in the gut after his gloat episode from last night." Yup, Cesur should have learned by now that every time he gloats, he pays. And then you turn to Tahsin: "Mean daddy’s karma return is going to be an EPIC JOY to watch!" Oh, so I hope you're right!

You and I are definitely of one mind re Korhan the wimp. I loved your saying "his avocados need some growth hormone!" As I watched the scene with him and Cahide, I too was frustrated that he didn't just grab the letter. But then I thought that perhaps he held back because she was pregnant with his son (ha!), and he didn't want to do anything that might hurt her and endanger the pregnancy.

Hulya is really beginning to scare me. Her mind just jumps from one scam to another. I was assuming she planned to somehow grab the employee's keys without his knowing it. But why would she want to sneak into the DA's room? I thought she wanted to speak with him so she could tell some tale of woe that would make him more sympathetic to her, and perhaps turn over her passport. Then again, perhaps she wanted to drop one of her magic pills into the DA's drink and take compromising photos of him as she did with Korhan. (Come to think of it, why was the DA staying in a motel?)

I confess that I was somewhat confused by the prison scenes. I don't know who the young guy is, but apparently he's the only person Riza ever spoke to. We then see a flashback (of course) to a scene where Riza approaches the young guy and asks whether he knows Adalet S (I didn't catch her birth name). The young guy says her name is now Adalet Korludag, she's married to Tahsin Korludag. It's clear that Riza is not pleased to hear this. We then jump back to the present, where another prisoner says that it was crazy for Riza to escape now, when he was so close to being released. The young guy says, "He must have had his reasons." And then we see another guy with Riza (probably after he escaped), showing him on a map where Tahsin's house and Cesur's house are located in Korludag.

And let's hear it for Mihriban. (I like your idea of her and Rifat getting together.) She calls Cesur to tell him that a letter exists that could send Tahsin to prison. Korhan apparently told her that the security cameras revealed that Cahide has the letter. So Mihriban goes to someone with excellent tech equipment. He was able to get closeups of the footage and could see the Karahasanoglu seal on the leather folder and could also see part of the letter's text. We'll have to wait until Monday to find out more.

Amor Val

Carmella and Juanita, thanks for kicking things off.

Well, strike up the band . Tahsin is back. It's time to celebrate and have a good time..... What...ever

The ackward dinner party with the three minions lined up on one side of the table gleefully rejoicing that the boss is free while Tahsin sits at the head of the table (of course) and Adalet sits a!one across from them looking fretful. I think she is the one with the clearer vision of what karma is cooking up from them . Then, the happy parents to be ( not) join the group. Hey, let's get this party started . Feel the joy.

What is up with Hulygan being everywhere, all the time ? Why is DA Cihan staying at a Holiday Inn ? Is he just a visiting DA from another town? Was Huly planning on seducing him ? Wny? Is he investigatng her ? Wny? Why does DA Cihan always look like he is about to cry? I have a lot of questions.

The whole Cahide\Korhan\Huly storyline seems like it doesn't even belong in this tangled tale of Tahsin\ art\murder\grandparents.

Okay Suhan is now pedaling away from Cesaer because he is being mean to her dad. Has she met Cesar ?

The profile view of creepy Riza marching along that abandoned building was interesting . I am hoping he is ready to terrorize Tahsin. Is he evil , or is Tahsin ( i can tell you're lying cause your lips are moving Tahsin) Lying. It's a tangled web.

Was Riza talking to Turan in the flashback ?
