Caray, Caray!

Hey, JudyB, this is the last night  on the patio under my watch for this one. It is a potluck tonight.  I am sure everyone will bringing their favorites.  I  am bringing some Swedish meatballs from IKEA  and picked up some chocolate donuts for dessert.  Save me a  a seat next to you so we can make snarky comments during the show.    ; )   It looks to be another good one. Only two after  this one for Natalia, Chente and  Ben to get a happily ever after.    

Since this is my last recap for this novela, I would  like to thank Jardinera and Princess Juju for being such a great recapping team to work with. It has been a pleasure and I hope to work with you guys in the future on another novela. 

Another thanks goes out to all of the commenters who made watching this novela a fun experience from beginning to end and another thanks to both the commenters and readers who  made me feel that recapping  this was a worthwhile venture. 

Here we go!

1. Chente starts dragging Olga along the street to take her to the police station since he already has filed child abuse charges against her. He wants to see her in jail where she belongs. Suddenly, she  knees Chente who, after the shock, runs after her. Olga sees a cab, jumps in and is gone. Chente screams after her that there is nowhere to hide.  He will find her.  She will pay for everything she did. 

2. Adrián visits with Andrea, Omar, Regina  and the baby at the hospital. He jokes about the baby being named after him.  Andrea and Omar are still not sure what they are going to name the baby.  A nurse comes in to get the baby to take it to the nursery. Andrea finds it odd that Connie has not been there to see the baby considering how intense she was about her pregnancy. After Omar starts to beat around the bush, Adrián gets straight to the point and tells her that her aunt passed away last night. 

3. Elías' crooked doctor has his worries about Connie not regaining consciousness as she should have by now. He tells Elías it would be best to take her to the hospital. Elías refuses to move her. She will either get better or she will die in this room. He will not put his grandson in just anybody's hands. He talks to her trying to get her animated enough to wake up  by describing the wonderful life that lies ahead with his grandson. She must not die.   

4. Olga is crying her eyes out at Vero's who is berating her for being stupid enough to leave the house. Vero tells her to stop crying and being pathetic already. All Olga can think of is how she lost Chente. Vero tells her to stop crying and to get  even with him just like she did with Adrián.  She destroyed him and she got him to beg at her feet to save him.  Olga says she  thought that she loved Adrián.Vero says of course she loves him with all of the hatred she has. Olga goes on about how that damn kid ruined it all for her. Olga swears that Chente will be sorry for what he did to her. Vero smiles and approves her decision. Vero tells her there is nothing better than  revenge. 

5. Natalia and Adrián meet at the nursery window to look at their grandson as the nurse gets him into his crib. He tells her how much he loves that they could go through this together. He begs her to continue trying to repair their relationship. Natalia thinks back to what Mario told her about the evidence that could be  in the safe. Adrián  knows that she still feels things for Chente but he would like her to give  priority to their relationship. She says she will agree to what  he is asking her and try to bury what she feels for Chente. She agrees to stay by his side in an attempt to save their marriage. What she doesn't know is that Chente is around the corner and heard the whole thing.  Adrián hugs her thinking how stupid she is and how sorry she is going to be. 

6. When Vero introduces Olga to Elías as the "great weapon" she has against Adrián, she tells him that Olga is gong to be worth every penny.  Olga says that she has heard that he is a very powerful man, so if that is true she is open to doing whatever he and Vero ask of her with one condition. The condition is that they help her in her revenge. He decides he and Olga need to talk over wine on the terrace.  He needs to find out all about Olga.

7. Natalia sees Chente at the hospital and cheerfully greets him not knowing that he head what she said to Elías. Chente is upset and explains that he came to see the baby. He goes on to tell her that he is tired of her pretending that she loves him and informs her that he heard everything she said to her husband.  Natalia says it is a difficult moment but they had decided that he was going  to trust her. He asks how??? She can only say  hat she has done what she has done out of love for her daughters. Chente says the very sight of her with Adrián sickens him. He asks if he is the consolation prize just in case her marriage doesn't work out.  She insists that Chente  knows all he means to her. Chente disagrees. He knows no such thing. He says if she agrees to go back with that . . .  she had better not think to come looking for him. .  He leaves. 

8. Samia visits the newborn.  She thinks his aura is shining like the sun.  She recognizes him as being more Haddad than Cantú. She advises Andrea not to let he figure go now that she has given birth. She always has to look divine so her husband doesn't trade her in for a newer model. Omar remarks that the way she said that made him think that his father was cheating on her. Samia says no and wonders where he ever got that idea from. He says her crying made him think so. Samia says she was only thinking about Connie and what she would have given to hold this baby.

9. At a well-guarded safe house as promised, Connie awakens surprised to find  herself still alive. The doctor tells her that the scheme is working as planned. Her whole family was present and very emotional at her wake although it was cut short because Andrea was in labor. Connie is all excited that her son has been born. 

ONE MONTH LATER

10. Vero is finally in contact with Natalia.  Vero says that poor imbecile Adrián thinks that he is smarter than they are. For him, they are two stupid women that he can play as he fancies and then throw them away as if they were nothing to him. If he is playing the repentant husband, it is because he wants something from Natalia. Natalia says she has no money. Thanks to him she lost her inheritance. Vero asks her if she is sure about that. Natalia realizes that Vero is back for revenge. Vero asks if she is not looking for the same thing. Natalia says no. She only wants justice. Vero says now is the time to ask her if Natalia wants something. Tomorrow she might not be so generous. Natalia says there is a hidden safe in Adrián's office but she doesn't know the combination. Vero tells her to try the date of his father's death. Vero writes it down for her. Vero asks if Natalia knew that he was a con man just like Adrián. Natalia admits that Vero knows more about Adrián than she does. Vero tells her to try the combination  and she will keep Adrián distracted so he doesn't find out. Natalia asks why she should believe her. Vero  doesn't care if she believes her.  She is only interested in taking Adrián down. 

11. Andrea and Regina are out with the baby on a walk in the park. It looks like they picked up Ben from school because he is with them with his backpack. They are talking about her mother, how her only future is with Chente and how the police investigation has been going on for so long and has turned up nothing. Andrea thinks that must be proof that their father must be innocent.

12. Vero comes all decked out and clearly dressed down to visit Adrián at his office at Haddad Enterprises. (my name not theirs). She is there for a good time. Adrián is happy to see her. 

13. In the meantime, Mario and Natalia open the safe. 

14. At the park Elías hides, as he directs his thugs to kidnap his grandson.  They chloroform Andrea and Regina. Ben screams and cries when he sees Regina lose consciousness. He tries to fight for the baby but one of the thugs returns him to Andrea and Regina. Ben  hears somebody call his name. He turns around and it is Olga asking if he has missed her. 

15. Mario and Natalia find loads of money in the safe, There is also an envelope with papers that link Elías to the arm sales but Adrián's name appears nowhere.

16. Vero and Adrián get dressed and Vero feeds Adrián a line about Natalia coming to see her to warn her against having a relationship with Adrián because she wants to save her marriage. Vero told her that  Adrián  was indeed repentant,  that they no longer had anything going on between them and that she meant nothing to him anymore. She assures Adrián that Natalia completely believed her. Adrián is jubilant knowing  that Natalia is the same naïve woman who has  been in love with him for 20 years. What he really enjoyed when he and Vero became lovers was that he could go home and kiss his stupid wife without her ever knowing that he still could taste Vero's kisses on his lips. They start kissing again.

17. Natalia tells Mario to take the documents to the police whether they incriminate Adrián or not. They cannot risk them being left in the safe and him destroying them. They have to act quickly. Natalia finds another folder with documents. They are from an investment account.  It turns out that Adrián didn't lose her money.  He invested her inheritance and it has grown due to the interest. Natalia now realizes why Adrián has been interested in getting back with her. He only came back to steal from her. 

18. Still in the park, Andrea and Regina regain consciousness and go crazy looking for the baby and Ben.

19. Elías delivers the baby to Connie. Her private plane will be leaving at midnight. His guards will escort her. Now, he needs to go "console"  his family. 

20. Natalie calls agent Saldívar.  Mario will be coming straight over to see him with the documents incriminating Elías. Mario is worried for Natalia and her daughters' safety if Adrián finds out  what they are up tp. Natalia tells him that the agent is going to send them protection.  Natalia is going to pack and she thanks Mario for what he has done. 

21. Andrea has only had luck with reaching Omar. Everyone else's line has been busy or they haven't been answering. Omar finally arrives and Andrea tells him that their baby was stolen. She tries to explain how they fell asleep and the baby and Ben were gone. Natalia calls Andrea. Regina grabs the phone and tells her about how the children were kidnapped. 

22. Olga terrorizes Ben with the threat of throwing rats in his face in the hell hole she is holding him in. She says he deserves it. She tells him that nobody will be coming for him because  nobody knows where he is. He has to pay for his mistakes. It is Ben's fault that his father didn't marry her and that her baby died.  She wants his father to know what it feels like to lose a child. 

23. Claudio and Tere attend a tango session in the park and enjoy a couple of ice cream cones. Claudio and Tere pray at church; he for God helping him fight his alcoholism, she for Connie's soul. 

24. Adrián brags to Vero  about being able to get rid of Natalie once and for all when he has his hands on her money. Andrea calls her father but he cannot be bothered with her constantly wanting to talk about stupid things so he simply doesn't answer.  He would rather play with Vero.

25. Andrea is upset that her father is not answering her call. Natalia says they have put out an amber alert. Chente and his brothers arrive at Adrián's. Chente  tells them that he talked to the neighbor but nobody saw anything. Natalia finds her way into Chente's arms not knowing what they are going to do. He tells her that his world is falling in on him, too.  Regina apologizes for having lost Ben. She explains to Chente how she took good care of Ben and never thought anything like this could happen. Chente tells her it isn't her fault. Andrea says she will die if something happens to her baby. Chente swears to  her that come hell or high water, their  children will be back. He holds her as she cries. 

26. Connie plays mommy with the baby.  Soon they will begin their life together. 

27. Tere and Claudio are eating out.  She is upset that her battery in her phone is dead. Claudio would rather that they spend the time together without the phone anyway so he can show her how much he loves her.  He wants to win her heart again. As he is  eating, Claudio starts to cough. He covers his mouth with his napkin. There is blood on his napkin.  He leaves the table.

28. Chente, Natalia and their families are  together at Adrián's. Natalia thanks Chente for showing strength and giving her and her daughters a feeling of safety when she knows he is dying the inside, too.  Chente tells Natalia that he doesn't want to alarm her but he has a  suspicion that Olga has the kids.  Samia and Elías arrive  with him  bellowing at Andrea about her losing his grandson.  Natalia jumps to her defense telling him he will not be talking like that to her daughter  and explains that  they already talked to the police and have done all they can. Elías is angry that they didn't call him first. That doesn't seem to sit right with Natalia. 

29. Agent Saldívar tells Mario that they have excellent news. A judge issued an arrest warrant for Elías  They are organizing a team right now to arrest him immediately. Tonight he will be in a jail cell. Mario is pleased. 

30. Agent Arrellano calls Saldívar to tell him that she has arrived at Adrián's  with a team of  special forces ready to arrest Elías. She mentions that two children were also kidnapped. One of them is Elías's grandson himself.  Saldívar tells her to go ahead and arrest Haddad.  He leaves for Adrián's taking Mario along with him. 

31. Agent Arrellano tells the officers that they need to take into account that the whole family is there and  very upset already. She  would like to move in without using force.  Haddad has to way to escape. Omar arrives on the scene asking if they have found his son and Ben. He explains that he is Elías' son. Agent Arellano  states that the corresponding agency is doing all it can to find the children. Omar looks confused. She explains that they are there for another reason: to arrest Elías Haddad. 

32. Claudio returns from the restroom saying that he vomited a lot of blood in the bathroom. He would prefer to ignore it and go on with their dinner. Tere says he is going to the hospital. 

33. Agent Arrellano walks into Adrián's house with Omar by her side to arrest Elías. Elías does not know that at first and thinks they are there to investigate the kidnapping of his grandson. He starts to tell them how he wants it all to be handled. Omar asks his father  to come with him because they need to talk.  Elías refuses to move until his grandson appears. Omar finally tells him that the agents are there to arrest HIM for  being a damn criminal and a gun trafficker. Agent Arrellano presents him with the arrest order. Elías will not go easily. He starts to laugh as Samia asks him what is happening.  He pivots and quickly grabs Natalia around her neck threatening to shoot her head off using  the gun he had brought with him.  He says they better let him out there or those two children won't live. He uses Natalia  as a hostage to get out of the house. 

34. Adrián is still having a fine old time with Vero in her bedroom.  He has  been drinking but wants to know where his phone is. He wants to call Andrea. She was calling and calling him. Vero says his phone is in the other room.  He passes out as she goes to get it and more wine.  She locks the door.

35. Vero tells Juanita that the pill she gave Adrián did the trick. He  is asleep. She grabs  his phone and sends a message to Andrea asking his "princess"  to come see him. It is important that she come alone. Vero says that when Andrea comes,  she wants Juanita to send her to her bedroom. Juanita thinks that she is  putting herself at great risk doing what she is doing. Vero explains that she wants to close all the doors in Adrián's life and she is so close to doing it . . . 

36. As Elías is leaving the house, he tells everyone to stay back and to lower their arms.  As he moves Natalia down the street, Omar asks where his son is. Elías asks if he really thought that he would allow an imbecile like him to raise his grandson along with that stupid thing he chose for a wife.  Chente asks why his son was taken. Elías tells him  that his son was very brave and wouldn't leave the baby. When Elías is out of danger, his son will be returned to him. That being said if any one of them follows him and tries to apprehend him, they won't ever see their children again.  Chente offers to change places with Natalia. Elías tosses him the keys to the car and tells him to start it up. Chente gets in the car and starts it. Elías backs his way into the car and then pushes Natalie away from him. As he closes the door, Chente takes off. The officers grab their guns but nobody shoots. 

37. Ben throws his food on the ground. Olga tells him to eat so that his father will know that she has  been feeding him. He kicks the food across the floor and tells Olga the witch to  leave him alone.  Lucky for Ben,  Vero calls. She asks how everything is going for Olga. As she has Ben backed into a corner and is playing with his hair,  Olga sarcastically says Vero doesn't know how happy Ben was when he saw her. Olga doesn't know anything about the baby.  Vero tells her to sit tight until she calls her. If she does everything that she tells her, Olga will be enjoying the sweetest revenge. 

38. Olga tells Ben that if he thinks she is a witch,  just wait until he meets Vero. 

39. At the hospital, Fernanda tells Tere that Claudio is suffering from irreversible cirrhosis of of the liver after 30 years of drinking. Claudio isn't going to win this battle and Tere has to be prepared. Tere cries.
