I will put up a recap tonight.

amor-val
#65 Entitled: Hijos en Peligro
Parte 1 de 2

Cesur finds TK at that cliff where they struggled, and TK was shot. The old reprobate is trembling, whether from cold or from learning what harm he’s done his children, we don’t know. Cesur puts his jacket over his shoulders and helps him away from the cliff.

Weeks Later Cesur and Suhan are walking hand in hand. We hear some ethnic music. And there’s a small crowd just ahead of them. It’s their third marriage ceremony. Suhan is delighted. Rifat calls him Señor Novio.. Banu, and then Korhan, embrace Cesur. It seems Mihriban won the election. Cesur calls her Lady Mayor. She’s there to celebrate and to officiate. Cesur and Mihriban mention that Bulent was proven innocent. [Not of everything!]

TK talks to Adalet’s grave, choking up.

Cesur and Suhan have changed clothes, and the ceremony takes place. Everyone is happy. However, Riza, like some of the bad weeds that recur in my back yard, is watching the ceremony through his trusty binoculars.

We then get a very revealing flashback. We see Banu in that black cat suit. SHE’S the one we saw sneaking around last night. She’s on the phone with Riza. “I put the drug you gave me in the water, but I couldn’t control how much of it she drank! [Hmmm, so what Bulent threw in the trash was a red herring.]

Another flashback. Riza gets off the boat. With his usual self-satisfied smirk he says to himself: “Before I leave I’m going to separate them…Cesur and Suhan."

The newlyweds have apparently chartered a boat for their brief honeymoon. With the sun shining Suhan talks about how she’s enjoying the peace. Cesur has on shorts. At night they sleep on the deck because Suhan wants to see the stars. [I keep expecting Riza to surface in a snorkeling outfit and ruin everything.]

We discover why Banu did what she did. Riza comes to her apartment, and she asks how he got in. He replies that it’s the same way he got in before. “Why aren’t you bringing my son? I did what you asked. Give me my son!” Riza just tells her there’s no hurry. He says the boy is being cared for as if he were a prince. But, if she wants that care to continue, she has to do exactly what he tells her to do.

Cesur talks with Serhat. They haven’t found Riza’s body. [A bit later your recapper catches on that there was an accident on that boat and they’ve been retrieving bodies. Thanks, Telemundo!]

Something else has apparently been cut. “And that woman and the child?” Cesur: “I only know one woman whose child was kidnapped.” [more blasted cuts].

Riza calls Banu asking if she placed the camera. We see her trying to hide it behind Hasan's painting in Cesur and Suhan’s house, but Suhan comes in.

Cesur and Suhan arrive at Banu’s apartment and give her a double stink eye in the doorway. Cesur tells her that he called Sinan and Omer is not with him. Stop lying. Banu admits she did it. She tells Suhan she had no choice. Slap! Suhan rages at her that her child could have died. Banu tells them that, when Riza gave her the drug, she called a friend who’s a doctor. Finding this out she put an amount in the water that wouldn’t harm either Suhan or the baby. But Riza needed to believe she did it to protect Omer. But Omer hasn’t been returned. She was supposed to put a camera in their house. Cesur thinks about this. “Ok, we won’t go to the police, but you’re going to help us.”

Parte 2 de 2

Cesur is meeting with Rifat in the garage. He tells him that Banu is very ashamed of what she did. And she’ll cooperate. We then see Banu put the camera behind the Hasan Karahasanoglu painting. We hear Cesur tell Rifat that Riza will think she’s under his control.

We get the camera-eye view of Cesur’s Living Room. He’s talking with Suhan. Some guy named Kaya is mentioned. He survived the accident that Telemundo decided not to let us in on. Cesur says, for Riza’s benefit, that he needs to talk to this guy to find out if Riza was aboard. He’ll go see him first thing in the morning. He calls Rifat to tell him the address. [Riza mordió el anzuelo (swallowed the bait) and writes what Cesur tells Rifat over the phone. The plan is for Riza to come to silence Kaya and fall into their trap.

Cesur looks on while Riza pays Kaya. Rifat follows Riza’s taxi. The guy who was guarding Omer goes to the bathroom, and Cesur goes to Omer, telling him to be quiet. When the guy returns, Cesur bashes him over the head and then calls Serhat for backup.

Cahide is giving birth in a room, but Korhan is not allowed in. The baby cries and Korhan goes in. Something is said about prison. [Is that where Cahide gave birth? Phooey on you, Telemundo.] The baby is called Luhan. Korhan tells her he won’t take the baby from her. She’s been absolved [of putting the drug in Suhan’s water, I presume]. Korhan tells Cahide they’ll begin again. She promises to be a good mother. [She’s getting off waaaay too easy!]

Cesur brings Omer to Banu. Riza tells Banu, over the phone, that if she brings him Cesur, she’ll get Omer.

Cesur leaves with Banu, supposedly to follow Riza’s orders. He refuses to let Suhan come. We see Cesur anxiously waiting, while Serhat also waits in the usual police van. Where’s Riza?

Riza walks toward Cesur’s house. The fences are covered with green plastic. Riza shoots both guards. He smiles when he sees Suhan, his objective all along. When Suhan sees him, she’s alarmed. Korhan jumps in front of his sister. Riza shoots him, it looks like in the heart. [I hope this is a red herring; the look on Korhan’s face when he saw his baby was just amazing. That was an ear-to-ear smile.]

Riza has taken Suhan somewhere, perhaps that crummy house Turan found for him. She shrieks at him that she wishes he’d died on that boat. He toys with her. He tells her if she wants him dead…well here’s a gun. We wait for an eternity, but she doesn’t pull the trigger. As he reaches for it, she does. But, of course, it’s not loaded.

Serhat tries to tell a distraught Cesur about the plans to catch Riza.

Riza tells Suhan, again playing games, that he’s going to call Cesur and complain about her behavior. We see Serhat willing the phone to ring so they can trace the call. He seems to believe Riza won’t be able to resist gloating. Riza tells Suhan: “Crazy Riza calls and the cops then trace the call. No, I won’t risk it.” He gets close to her and tells her that he doesn’t want to hold her as a prisoner…but, if she stayed of her own free will, they’d be happy together. Suhan is clutching her stomach. [Boy, these writers sure want us to fear miscarriages all the time.]

TK shows up at Cesur’s house. “Where’s Suhan? Where’s Korhan?” A bit later TK accuses Cesur of causing his son’s death. [So…did Telemundo cut the part where Korhan definitely died?]

Left alone locked in a room, Suhan breaks the glass in a barred window and calls out to a guy working in a field nearby.

Amor Val

Novelera, thank you for a great recap of a disturbing episode with this villain who just keeps terrorizing people . It sure looked like Korhsn died.

The scene of the birth was confusing . There was a guard outside Cahide's room ,and you heard her yelling, but the guard wouldn't let Korhan in . Was it a hospital? Later, we see him in the room as happy as a clam . The baby is cute. Luckiky, Cahide was in full make up when Kor finally visited. The actor plays a crazy villain in Kurulus Osman.

I though it was Banu in the black jogging hoodie, but I couldn't believe it. Then, I figured the writers suddenly remembered that she had a kid and decided to have Riza kidnap him which provided another opportunity for Cesar to be a hero. Yay. The little boy was so cute and had a great smile as he beamed at his rescuer.

Suhan had in yet another wedding gown for ceremony #3 . This one is a traditional Turkish ceremony with the couple , official , and witnesses seated at a table signing the marriage certificate . Wedding customs in different countries and religions are fascinating .

What was up with Tah blaming Cesar for Korhan's death? Has his amnesia gone and does he remember how awful he was to his son ?

The paintings that were key at the beginning of this dizi are now just used to hide cameras . This show has made a drastic confusing detour . How will the writers finally stop Riza? Will Ta h finally reveal what transpired between Cesar's family and him ? Will he get an anvil or become The jolly abuelo.

Amor-val

This was a great recap, novelera. Thank you. What wasn't so great was that Telemundo crammed almost 5 hours worth of show into a 43 minute timeslot!

I am preparing a post with some of the important/interesting edits and I'll have it up later today. It should help to make more sense.

I fear they will do a large hatchet job on the final.

Amor Val

Thanks so much novelera for a very informing recap! I was not able to partake in this episode, but wow, wow, wow! Cramming 5 hrs into 43 mins is pretty impressive considering…..I’m really sorry they’ve done this to this dizi. It really is a pretty good one, and doesn’t deserve all the cuts. I can see some, but they’ve definitely taken “cuts” to another level. I, of course watched some of the Turkish version, and was astonished by how much they cut Cesur and Suhan’s honeymoon! In the Turkish version it’s at least a good 10 mins or more! We really needed that romance between them seen!

I am really shocked by Korhan getting shot! Why him!! Such a waste after all he’s been through! Cahide should be gone, not Korhan! I’m surprised by Banu too! I know her emotions were guiding her, but they could’ve caught Riza with a good plan. So, so , so sick of Riza! He’s ruined this dizi for me in many ways…….what happened to Banu’s dad anyway??

Amor-val #65 Cuts part 1

Cesur brings Tahsin home. He’s in bad shape. He’s in bed staring at the ceiling. Doctor says Tahsin is suffering from extreme trauma and arranges for Tahsin to get therapy sessions at home.

Bulent is depressed and angry. Mihriban suggests therapy for him and he blows up. I’m not insane he tells her and storms out. Mihri is at a loss on what to do for her son.

Serhat shows up at Cesur’s house with news about Riza. The ship he was on had an engine fire and sank in the Black Sea. When the Coast Guard arrived, there weren't many survivors and Riza wasn’t among them. They did find Riza’s fake Russian passport.

Meanwhile, Korhan, Cahide and Hulya see the news report on the ship that sank in the Black Sea. The reporter mentions that the fugitive Riza Cirpici was among the casualties.

Everyone is thrilled that Riza is dead except for Cesur. He’s skeptical that Riza died. He asks Serhat to keep the guards at the house a little longer. Serhat agrees.

Cesur tracks down Hikmet and gets him to admit he got the fake passport for Riza and passage on the ship. He also arranged for another man, Kaya to take the same boat. Kaya survived and is in the hospital.

Cesur tries to visit Kaya in the hospital, but he’s unconscious in the ICU and badly burned. He tells the nurse he is a relative and asks her to call him when Kaya wakes. She agrees.

Election Day and everyone goes to the polls. Mihri and Tahsin trade barbs outside town hall. Tahsin says he will throw a big party for Mihri if she wins, but he hopes she doesn’t. Cut to the next scene—a big victory party for Mihri courtesy of Tahsin. He takes this all rather well.

Suhan gets a call with test results. They found a toxic substance in her blood test. She was poisoned. Suhan remembers the bottle of water she drank from before the wedding. Cesur is sure that was Riza’s doing. He didn’t leave. Serhat says security would have found him if he was at the wedding. Cesur says maybe he had someone do it for him.
Cahide looks mighty guilty, then speaks up. She blames Bulent! She saw him in the room before Suhan arrived. Serhat confirms that cameras show Bulent entered the room.

Cesur confronts Bulent at the party and slugs him. Bulent denies poisoning Suhan.

Bulent is taken for questioning. He sticks with his claim of innocence. Mihri asks Serhat if she can speak with Bulent. Maybe she can find out the truth.

Bulent figures his mother believes he poisoned Suhan to get revenge on Cesur. That’s not why I’m here, she tells him, I’m here because you are my son and I know you. She knows he’s hiding something. She begs him to come clean or it will be worse for him. She will stay by his side. He tells his mother he made a big mistake. He knew something would happen to Suhan but he didn’t stop it. But he didn’t poison her.

We get the flashback of Bulent sneaking into the room and opening the water bottle. He can’t bring himself to dose the water. Bulent confesses to the police about Riza. He also mentions he heard the name Hikmet.

Police question Hikmet and find out there were two others kidnapped that night. Hulya is suspected because she crashed the wedding and is questioned. Hulya says she refused to poison Suhan but she didn’t say anything because Riza threatened to kill Zafer.

Cesur and Suhan try to figure out who the third person is.

Amor-val #65 Cuts part 2

A cop questions Turan again. He tells him Riza died in the boat accident so there’s no reason to fear telling the truth. They ask about the kidnappings and offer reduced prison time if he cooperates. They want the name of the third person. Turan claims he doesn’t know. The cop roughs him up. The scene ends there.

Korhan calls Suhan to come. The psychiatrist came for a session and Tahsin became angry, threw the guy out and locked himself in his room. Suhan speaks with Tahsin. He asks her if she married Cesur. She says no, the wedding was ruined. But it’s only been postponed.

Suhan asks about the psychiatrist. Tahsin didn’t like his questions. He starts ranting asking his own questions: Why did my wife die at an early age? Why will my daughter marry someone I don’t want? Why do the all the women in my life leave me? Is this all my fault? Suhan says the doctor was onto something. Tahsin admits he might have made some mistakes. [really???] He has a flashback of Adalet and gets a sudden headache. It happens every time he starts to remember something.

Cesur talks to Korhan and Cahide about the “third person”. He tells them they are questioning Turan about it. Cahide gets nervous. The cops show up at the Korludag house and want Cahide for questioning. Turan told them she was the third person. Korhan, Suhan and Cesur are shocked. The cops search her room and find the vial hidden in the clamshell.

At the station, Cahide proclaims her innocence. Then why was the vial in your bag? Cahide is floored. It’s looking bad for her. Serhat tells Korhan, Suhan and Cesur it’s a match for the poison and Cahide will face a judge tomorrow. Ceshan are stunned. Korhan looks sick.

They hear Cahide shouting in the hallway as she’s taken to a cell. Korhan confronts her and calls her a monster and curses the day he married her. She swears she didn’t do it. Korhan doesn’t believe her, she’s lied too many times. He swears she will never see her baby. I must say I enjoyed seeing Cahide in a jail cell, screaming her head off.

Tahsin wakes up coughing and looks in his bedtable for his inhaler. He finds the marriage certificate for him and Adalet. He remembers. He goes to town and stands in front of the closed pharmacy. He sees Necla. She unloads her guilt—she tells Tahsin she wishes she never told Adalet about his illness that prompted her escape. Then her brother wouldn’t have killed her. Tahsin is stunned.

Cesur gets a call from Kaya’s nurse. He’s out of the ICU. Cesur says he will visit as soon as he can.

The real song played at the wedding:
Kutlama/Ceremony - Sezen Aksu
YouTube with English subs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtT2ccBCHjY

Song when Ceshan were on the boat:
Benim Hala Umudum Var/ I Still Have Hope - Mazhar Alanson
YouTube with English Subs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMR-BiK4odU
This song was in Fatmagul, when Fatma visited Kerim in prison. Very beautiful song.

Yes, the cut a lot of the honeymooning on the boat.

Ha, ha Cahide is in prison. An old lady rips on her. It’s visiting day…they forgot you… they didn’t even bring you clothes… you’ve been wearing the same ones since you’ve been here and you stink! May God have mercy on you! Cahide gets a visitor. It’s Hulya, who has come to bring her clothes and see how miserable she is. Cahide blames Hulya for framing her. Hulya denies it and continues to antagonize Cahide. Cahide grabs a chunk of Hulya’s hair and guards pull her away. Hulya leaves pleased.

Tahsin returns home and tells Korhan he visited Adalet and saw the ghost of Riza.

Amor-val #65 Cuts part 3

Korhan visits Ceshan tells them that Tahsin cries every night and visits Adalet every day. He also says Tahsin “saw” Riza. Suhan worries about her father’s mental health, but alarm bells go off for Cesur.

Tahsin calls out Hulya on her lies about their “relationship” and about Adalet. He orders her to pack and leave.

Cahide demands to see the DA. She tells Serhat that Hulya killed the gynecologist.

Cesur goes to the hospital to see Kaya. The nurse tells him that there’s a problem with Kaya’s hospital bill. He can’t pay. His family is trying to come up with the money so he can be released. Cesur uses this to get info on Riza. He pays Kaya’s bill. Kaya tells him Riza got off the ship. He also says he overheard Riza talking about a kidnapped child….

Tahsin feels guilty and regretful over Adalet. Suhan reminds him he will soon have two grandchildren to look forward to. Tahsin smiles and asks her how many months along. Four months. They don’t know yet if it’s a boy or a girl. She asks if he wants to come to the next doctor visit to find out. He tries not to be too excited about it.

Turan tells a cop about Bulent kidnapping Zafer. Cahide confirms it.

A cop questions Hulya about the doctor’s murder. They want a blood and tissue sample. And they will hold her. Hulya has a flashback to that night. We see her burning his clothes.

Serhat and Cesur talk about more poisoning suspects. Banu is on the list. Cesur thinks.

Tahsin goes to the Mayor’s Office. He asks Mihri if he could create a memorial forest for Adalet. Mihri agrees to find space. Before he leaves he tells Mihri to think about how lucky she is because he didn’t marry her. I ruined all the women I married, he says. Mihri is stunned.

Banu is visiting Suhan when Cesur returns home. He tells Suhan it was a woman with a child that poisoned her. Riza threatened the woman’s child. Banu gets nervous. She says she isn’t feeling well and has to go. Cesur asks her about Omer. Is he okay? He hasn’t seen him. Banu says he’s staying with his father right now. She leaves. Cesur suspects her big time. He calls Omer’s dad. Omer isn’t there. This is devastating.

Cops come to take Bulent for kidnapping. Later, Serhat explains to Mihri that Bulent confessed. Mirhi is destroyed. Ha, ha, Bulent is put in the holding cell next to Hulya. He tells Hulya that Cahide reported them both.

Cahide’s cellmates take her clothes and threaten her.

Tahsin visits Nurhan’s grave. Korhan finds him there. Tahsin regrets treating her so badly. Korhan says you never loved her and you never loved me. He always wondered about that. Tahsin says, I never told you, I didn’t want you to know. I didn’t marry your mother willingly. I had to because she was pregnant. It was a mistake, I was drunk. Korhan tearfully asks, I’m the mistake, right?

Tahsin continues, everyone thought I married her because she was rich. I didn’t say anything. I never loved you because I thought of you as the reason I broke up with the girl I loved. I took my anger out on you both for years. How does a father not love his son? He pulls Korhan into a hug and tells him he (Korhan) wasn’t responsible. I couldn’t be a good father. Forgive me. Wowwww.

Serhat tells Hulya to make arrangements for her child. She could be in jail for a while pending trial.

That guy that Rifat and Cesur were holding was contracted by Riza to kill Kaya.

Bulent is brought to prison. He gets lots of stares and a couple of welcomes.

It’s cleaning day in Cahide’s cell. The old woman wakes her, gives her the bucket and mop and tells her as the newbie, she has to do all the cleaning. LOL. Uh, oh. Hulya is brought into Cahide’s cell!

Cesur enlists Rifat tail Riza. We see Rifat following Riza around town but loses him at the bazaar.

Amor-val #65 Cuts part 4

Serhat doesn’t like Cesur going out on his own doing all these secret missions. Cesur wants to make another plan to catch Riza. He doesn’t want Riza to know they rescued Omer.
Suhan tells Korhan that Banu was the one who poisoned her, Cahide is innocent, Banu framed her. She says this must be kept a secret. Korhan wonders why. Suhan says it can’t come out yet because of Cesur’s new plan to capture Riza. Korhan laughs to think Cahide told the truth this time.

Cahide goes into labor.

Tahsin visits Ceshan. He wants to put an end to the hostility out of regard for his grandchild. He can accept their marriage. He doesn’t want the past to affect his relationship with his grandchild. Cesur doesn’t look to happy about this but he says he will do everything to make Suhan happy. Riza is enjoying the show via the “hidden” camera.

Tahsin says he believes Cesur really loves Suhan despite wanting revenge on him. Cesur says all he wanted was his fair share. What, Tahsin asks, the painting? Take it, but don’t expect anything else from your inheritance.

Cesur warns him not to talk about his family. Tahsin says he has the right to do so. He has the right to the mansion and those paintings. I deserved them when they adopted Hasan and left me in the orphanage! Tahsin explains that he grew up with Hasan in the orphanage. They met again in the army after many years. Tahsin remembered Hasan, but Hasan forgot all about him after he went to a rich family. Cesur warns Tahsin to watch it.

Tahsin continues, Muzaffer and his wife chose me first, then they gave me back because they weren’t pleased. We see a flashback. Tahsin is returned because he was “naughty”. Cesur asks, is that why you burned the mansion? Tahsin replies he didn’t burn the mansion, but he left them there without looking back. Just as they left him in the orphanage and took Hasan. I took the paintings to settle the Karahasanoglu family’s debt to me, he says. Tahsin says he deserved those paintings more than Cesur. His grandma and grandpa were not his real family. Cesur says they are family even if his father was adopted. He knew this before he came to Korludag.

One of the help asks Korhan about Hulya. It’s hard trying to do work and take care of the baby. Korhan says he will find a solution. Korhan gets the call about Cahide in labor and bolts.

Banu puts Omer to bed. Serhat is there. Banu wonders what will happen to her once Riza is caught. Serhat thinks the punishment will be light because there were mitigating circumstances and Banu cooperated. There was a moment Serhat took Banu’s hand to assure her she and Omer were safe and there was an awkward look between them. Hmmm….
Riza shoots Korhan twice and stands over him as Suhan cradles Korhan and cries for him. Riza rolls his eyes.

Suhan wakes up and screams for Riza. Riza isn’t happy he had to kill Korhan. He calls him an unfortunate man. He was the son of Tahsin Korludag and he was at the wrong place and wrong time today.

Amor-val #65 Cuts part 5

Outside Cesur’s house, Sirin, Kemal and Reyhan watch as Korhan’s body is carried out to the ambulance. Reyhan rushes to him, calling his name and taking his hand. Sirin and Kemal have to pull her away, she becomes hysterical.

Inside, Cesur is distraught. How could this happen?!! Serhat is with him. Cesur starts breaking and smashing stuff. He pounds his fist into a wall.

Tahsin visits Cahide and baby Nurhan in the hospital. Grandpa coos over the baby. They wonder why Korhan hasn’t come yet. Tahsin calls him. No answer. He tries Suhan. No answer. Tahsin says he’ll go check and send Korhan when he finds him.

Riza makes arrangements for two people to go abroad.

Mihri shows up at Cesur’s house. Tahsin gets up to go and tells everyone he’s going to his son.

Cahide tries calling Korhan with no luck. She tells a nurse that her husband was supposed to come but it’s been hours. The nurse says she will ask the doctor. Cahide starts to worry.

Not sure if this is where the cuts end. I hope I didn't get ahead of the final or repeat something that was in novelera's fine recap.

There’s about 2:15 left to go in the final Turkish ep. So there will be a lot more cuts.

Why did they have to kill Korhan??!! Another dizi death I’m still pissed about!

On to the final!

amor-val

Wow, novelera, thanks VERY much for making sense of last night's episode. You helped clarify a lot for me. I'm sorry I wasn't able to comment sooner. I was out all morning.

I loved your comparing Riza to some of the bad weeds that recur in your backyard. Yeah, he sure does keep popping up everywhere. And I was stunned to learn that the woman in black was Banu, not Hulya. I do wonder why Banu would go into Cahide's room and leave the vial in the clamshaped thingie.

And yes, I too was very nervous during Cesur and Suhan's honeymoon on the boat. Like you, I kept fearing that Riza would pop up there, too.

I'm glad you caught on to the fact that the boat Riza was supposed to be escaping in caught fire and sank. I had no clue. But even if I had known this, I would have been 100% sure that Riza was not among the passengers.

Yes, I too heard mention of prison when Cahide was giving birth. Huh?

In short, Telemundo made a total mess of things!

Also, I was under the impression that Cesur and Rifat expected to capture Riza when they set the trap. I'm not quite sure who it was they captured, nor, frankly, do I care.

I'm very surprised and sorry that Korhan was killed. Why Korhan rather than Cahide? He would have been a MUCH better parent than Cahide.

Novelera, I see that dondi356 has posted 5 pages of omissions! Now that I've offered a comment and MANY thanks for your superb recap, I'll see what Telemundo cut out/mangled. Arrgh

amor-val

OMG, dondi356, thanks VERY VERY MUCH for supplying all these aspects of the plot that Telemundo in its madness chose to omit. I still don't understand why they didn't make a number of small cuts all along, so that they could present the crucial last few episodes more or less intact.
My guess is that either Infiel unexpectedly bombed and they wanted to get rid of it ASAP, and/or La Reina del Sur 3 became available sooner than expected. Whatever the reason, Telemundo's mangling of the plot at its most critical moments indicates a lack of appreciation and respect for what the network offers. How disappointing!

amor-val

DONDI356 You are amazing! Thank you SO very much for filling in what we didn't get to see. Why did they decide to give us two hours of Infiel instead of just showing what they cut? I'll post a comment later about your fantastic posts, but I'm theoretically "on the clock" and working from home.

amor-val, sort of

Actually, Infiel is slightly ahead of Mujer de Nadie in the ratings. Amor Valiente is not that far behind La Herencia in the 9p slot.

They are ruining a good dizi.

I agree with you, Juanita, whatever the reason, Telemundo has no respect or appreciation for anything or anyone. Can they afford to upset viewerville? I guess they think we will forgive them when Teresa Mendoza returns.

more sort of amor-val

Goes to show my memory has some black holes. I thought it was more recent, but it turns out NBC bought Telemundo in 2001. I suspect that the US channel might be more ratings obsessed than the Spanish language ones, sort of a niche market here in the US. Of course, Telemundo programming used to be all original recordings in Spanish. Nothing seemed to be cut because they might have been only two or three months ahead in filming from what viewers were seeing. I remember seeing news bulletins about some novela having finished its filming and having a cast party when we were still 2/3 to 3/4 finished watching. And I don't remember Telemundo ever yanking a prime time novela and putting it at 2PM or 12 midnight.

Amor Val

Dear Dondi, I start this way because you always seem like a pen pal whom I have never met , but who always provides me with a great story. Wow, without your unbelievable recap of all the cut scenes, we would have been clueless to the answers to many questions we have been asking , and we would have been left waiting and wondering and having no closure.

When we saw a scene awhile ago ( when we were all young and hopeful about this show) of Hasan leaving the orphanage with a couple while Tah was left behind saying he would one day kill Hasan , I thought that was the whole story of the origin of his vendetta against Hasan. However, how grim that the couple first adopted Tah and then returned him because he was naughty and took Hasan instead. Yikes.

So ...Did Tah kill Hasan ? If not, ..who did

I am ticked that we did not get to go along on the honeymoon . We stuck with this show through all the angst and anguish , and we deserved a little happy happy joy joy time on that boat .

Amor Val

I can’t reiterate how much “thanks” is due to EVERYTHING you filled in dondi356! This really was a good dizi, and had most everything else been included, it would’ve been even that much more enjoyable. Shame TM didn’t feel the need to commit to it, the way that they did to Hercai. I remember Hercai part 2 was supposed to come back on much later than it did, and was returned to TM within a few weeks or so after part one was completed. AV is a much better dizi, imho…….

Aside from Riza overkill, I’ve looked forward to it…..thanks again ladies…..

amor-val

Susanlynn, Adalet killed Hasan...at Tahsin's bidding. She eventually confessed, and that's why she went to prison. OTOH I am not sure if she went to prison for shooting Hasan or for shooting the orphanage director. She did both shootings, at Tahsin's behest. Nothing was explained explicitly, but I had the impression Tahsin thought he wouldn't go to hell or some such if someone else pulled triggers for him.

Here are some thoughts about the wonderful, full explanation that dondi provided.

It looks like they may be planning a redemption for Tahsin. Boo! Hiss!

I am furious about their killing off Korhan. When the dizi began, he appeared to be a jerk. But we grew to love him. That actor has an amazing smile!

What we learned about the accident in the Black Sea sent me to Mr. Google for a map of the area. Oh, and another thing. In all the dizis they often show shots of the body of water near Istanbul. One thing I’ve noticed is that I don’t remember seeing sailboats. It was surprising that Cesur and Suhan were shown on one. Whenever there are movies or TV shows with San Francisco in them, you always see sailboats.

I wish I’d seen Cesur punch Bulent! As well as Cahide in a cell!

I would like to have seen the questioning of Turan. I don’t think anything about him was shown by TM.

That would have been an amazing scene with TK explaining why he’s treated Korhan so badly all these years. All of us wondered about that many, many times.

The explanation of what happened at the orphanage was very interesting. One time they showed a flashback of Hasan leaving with a man and a woman and, we assumed, little Tahsin shouting. The full back story explained a lot.

I like the idea of Banu and Serhat. They’d be a perfect couple. I also hope they explain all those veiled references to Serhat having something tragic in common with Cesur.

Well, this is it. The End. I will try to produce some kind of recap later tonight.

#66 gran final p. 1 of 3

As the episode opens, Suhan has broken the glass in a barred window in the room where she's being held captive. She sees a man at a distance and yells for help. He at first seems to ignore her.

Riza gets into a taxi, driven by someone he knows. The driver tells Riza that a friend has just told him that the police are looking for him (the friend). He doesn't know what to do. He tells Riza that the woman's husband is offering a reward for help in finding her. Riza makes a snide remark about what people will do for money, and he tells the guy to drive.

Suhan continues to scream for help, saying she's been kidnapped. She tells the man who has been ignoring her, "Look at me! Help me!" He finally looks.

Cesur and the police find the taxi Riza took. He ditched the taxi and killed the driver.

The man comes over to the building where Suhan is imprisoned. She tells him that a man kidnapped her and locked her in here. "Please help me before he gets back." The man tries unsuccessfully to force open the door. He tells Suhan he's not strong enough. Moreover, he's not looking for problems. Suhan asks him to give her his cell phone so she can call her husband. He will pay the man. The man seems to leave, but then he returns with his cell phone, which he hands to Suhan through the broken window.

The scene shifts to Cesur's house. Tahsin (TK) is also there. Cesur tells TK that he's losing patience with him, and he should leave. Just then Cesur's phone rings. It's Suhan. She assures him that she's OK and that the man whose phone she's using will tell him where she is. He does so, but only seconds before Riza returns. "Who are you?" he asks the man. The man runs away. Riza runs after him. He notices that the man has dropped his cell phone. Riza picks it up and sees that a call was just made to Cesur. Riza destroys the phone and heads back to Suhan.

Cesur calls DA Serhat to say he's heard from Suhan and has her location, which he then gives to the DA. The DA says he will get the police and go out there. "Don't even think about trying to capture him by yourself," he warns Cesur.

Riza tells Suhan that she has disappointed him. She then stabs him with a piece of broken glass from the window.

TK has insisted that he come with Cesur, who has a gun. The two of them arrive at the place where Suhan is being held. They see that Suhan is seated in a chair, tied up, gagged, and blindfolded. We see--and probably Cesur also sees--that there's a gun pointing at Suhan. He very carefully opens a door. He and TK enter. They look for the right room. TK goes to open another door. Cesur screams "No! Don't open it!" Too late. Opening the door makes the gun go off. Suhan has been shot and is now slumped in the chair. It's not immediately clear whether she's alive [but Viewerville knows that she is]. We then see Riza, who is outside at a distance from the house. He is clearly wounded and looks quite upset. The police arrive and Riza flees.

In true backwards fashion so prevalent in this dizi, we next see Riza in a room at what turns out to be a hospital. He is muttering "Suhan will save me. Suhan will get me out of here. She'll say 'My Riza didn't kill anyone. He's innocent.'" Only after this scene do we see Cesur and the DA talking. Cesur asks the DA how they caught Riza. The DA responds, "He was wounded and went to a hospital. Someone recognized him from some photos and called the police. We trapped him when he tried to leave." The DA then expresses his sympathy to Cesur, who replies, "Nothing could ease the pain in my heart, Serhat." I had the momentary impression that Suhan may indeed have died.

amor-val
#66 p. 2 of 3

It soon becomes clear that Suhan is alive, but just barely. Cesur insists that he saw her smile, but the doctor says he may have imagined this. Moreover (shades of Hercai again), the doctor tells Cesur and TK that continuing the pregnancy would impede Suhan's recovery. TK wants to save Suhan's life, even if it means aborting the baby. Cesur says, "No, I don't want to kill our baby." The doctor clearly thinks this is the wrong decision. He tells them, "If she lives long enough to give birth, labor will be very difficult for her. My decision is clear, but it's up to her husband." Cesur is adamant: "She won't die." TK says, "I won't sacrifice my daughter for your 'feeling'." Cesur tells him, "I don't care what people say. I believe in a miracle."

FOUR MONTHS LATER

A guy (I think he's a nurse) comes to give Riza his medicine. He tells Riza, "You don't seem demented at all. The doctor will know if you're demented or just lying." Riza takes the pill. The nurse leaves. Riza spits out the pill.

Cesur and TK seem to spend all their time at the hospital where Suhan is (it may well be the same hospital where Riza is). Suddenly there's a lot of commotion. Nurses and doctors are running around. A doctor performs CPR on Suhan.

Riza goes out of his room [how can he do this, if it's a psychiatric ward?]. The nurse sees him and asks him what he's doing. "I'm very thirsty," explains Riza. The nurse points out that there's a water cooler right there. He then comes close to Riza and says in a low voice, "If you get help, it will be easier to escape." The nurse asks for money. Riza says he doesn't have much. The nurse says there are three people who work together, and they all need to be paid. Somehow, the money issue is solved or ignored. The nurse tells Riza, "There's a truck that you should get into. The driver will take you to the port, where the captain will take over."

TK comes to see the unconscious Suhan. He tells her, "Your stupid father committed a terrible error. I know you'll forgive me. But I'll never forgive myself."

Now comes some especially choppy parts.

Cesur tells Sirin (who apparently also spends huge amounts of time at the hospital) that he has something he has to take care of. He'll be right back.

The nurse helps Riza get into the truck without being seen.

Sirin reads aloud to the unconscious Suhan. Suhan dreams of being on a yacht when sudenly (in her dream) she has violent labor pains. The baby is about to come. Though Suhan is unconscious, Sirin sees her blood pressure monitor suddenly go up very quickly. She calls for the doctor.

Riza has made it from the truck to the boat (presumably not the one in Suhan's dream). Cesur and TK are on the boat as well. How did this happen? We of course get a flashback. TK says to Cesur, "I don't know how you stand this." "Who says I do?" replies Cesur. TK is sure that Cesur has a plan, and he asks Cesur to tell him what it is. Cesur is reluctant to do so. TK pleads, "Riza used me to commit this crime. I won't get in your way." Cesur tells TK that he doesn't trust him. TK points out that Riza owes him three lives, first Adalet's, then Korhan's, and now Suhan's. He pleads with Cesur to include him. Cesur reluctantly shakes TK's hand.

Cesur and TK confront Riza on the boat. Cesur points a gun at him. With amazing coolness, Riza says to Cesur, "Nothing would make me happier than watching you ruin your life. Go ahead, shoot me. I'll be free of the world, and you'll be in a prison cell for the rest of your life." TK tells Cesur not to kill Riza. Cesur replies, "Didn't we agree to do put an end to this, Korludag?" "Yes, TK says, "but we didn't say who would kill the guy."

amor-val
#66 p. 3 of 3

Suddenly, a man comes up in back of Cesur and injects his neck with something that knocks him out. It turns out the guy is working for TK. TK tells the guy to take Cesur off the boat and leave. Then TK points a gun at Riza. Riza says contemptuously, "Don't be ridiculous. You're more afraid of prison than you are of death." TK agrees. He tells Riza, "I have no intention of going to prison." He tosses his gun overboard.

Cesur is seated in some kind of van near the water, unconscious. Gradually, he comes to. He looks around. No one else is in the van. He then sees a note. He reads it:
"Cesur, You're angry with me because I tricked you. I don't ask you to forgive me, just that you understand me. I needed your help to catch Riza, but I couldn't allow you to kill him. This man stole all my family--first my wife, Adalet; then my son, Korhan; and now my daughter, Suhan. I'm doing this for Suhan. She needs you. My grandson shouldn't grow up without a father. Take care of them for me. Tahsin Korludag."

We get a glimpse of Riza grabbing TK aound the neck. Then we--and Cesur--see the boat explode in a massive fire ball.

Cesur returns to the hospital. He asks a very sad-looking Sirin about Suhan. Once again, it looks as if Suhan may have died. But then we hear a baby cry and Sirin suddenly starts smiling and laughing. Cesur goes into the room where a wide-awake Suhan is snuggling with her baby boy. Cesur is stunned. She asks where he was. He kisses her and says, "I'm here, my love. I'm here with you." Suhan says, "I present to you your son, Korhan." Cesur welcomes Korhan and says, "Thank you for bringing your mother back to me."

Suhan tells Cesur that she had a beautiful dream. We then hear the following in a voiceover:

Sometimes life gives you a second chance
If you believe and never give up hope
Miracles will be your reward
And your life will be like you dreamed.

This sounds familiar. It's possible someone said it earlier in the dizi, but I don't remember.

We see Cesur, Suhan, and little one-year-old Korhan happy on a sailboat as the theme song plays and the dizi ends.

Amor Val

Juanita , thanks for an amazing recap of the finale. Luckily, I was wearing my industrial strength beanie because so many things didn't make sense . However, both Cesar and Suhan and baby Korhan survived , so I was content.

I enjoyed being part of our tiny group watching this show , and I appreciate Time, takent, abd efgort that went into the recaps by Novelera and Juanita and translations by Carmella . A big thanks to Dondi for so kindly filling in the missing scenes that were cut . Thanks to all.

I enjoyed this show even though it was sometimes frustrating and confusing ...and sometimes made no sense. There were characters to love and plenty to hate. Now that it is over , I will miss everybody here . I am still watching " Mujer Dr Nadie" which is also ending soon and " Herencia" which is heating up.

So, in the end, lots of anvils fell. Adalet, Korhan, Tah, and Riza are gone, and Hulygan, Turhan, and Bulent are in jail.

I suspected that Banu would get Serhat as a lovely consolation prize when I saw them together at the first formal wedding of Cesar and Suhan.

Mayor Mir goes onward . I am sure she visits her son in prison on weekends.

I guess Cahide was released from jail . She lost the guy that she deceived and manipulated throughout this entire show. Now what will she do? What did she do with all those fake bellies...ebay?

Super villain Riza just seemed to be able to escape every time he was captured . Unbelievable .Watching him lurking abd smirking in the woods got to be funny. Was he in a psychiatic hospital in the finale and used the couple bucks in his pocket to get help escaping ? Amazing negotiating skills. I had to suspend my disbelief to new heights .

Somehow the actor playing Cesar made me believe Everything he saidxabd did and his super hero confidence that he would make everything come out all right...and he did. Maybe he really was Thor. The one thing I had trouble accepting was that he would let the pregnancy continue when the doctor advised that Suhan probably couldn't survive giving birth. To me, that seemed out of character for Cesar. He seemed totally devoted to Suhan at all costs . I always liked Caesar's wardrobe , especially that Pale blue and white warm-up shirt. Love those.

That final voiceover message made me think of getting lemons and making lemonade . There were lots of lemons. or maybe " Time heals all wounds, and time wounds all heels" Karma? What goes around comes around ? In the end , the love you take is equal to the love you make ?

Anyway, watching the little family sail away on the sailboat made my mind feel like a pear floating in jello. They survived all the crazy . I also had the very soothing song " Sailing" playing in my head.

The one loose end that bothers me is Hulygan and Tur's baby ( Zafer?) Did the writers tell us what happened to that poor little baby with both his parents in jail ?

Thanks so much, Juanita, for your fine recap of the chopped up final. Hats off to you and novelera for doing the heavy lifting on this journey. Thanks to carmella and Susanlynn for providing insightful and very entertaining comments.

I am writing up the final cuts and I'll post them a little later. Then we all can say goodbye to Korludag.

Amor-val Final #66 Cuts part 1

Tahsin goes to the morgue and identifies Korhan. We hear Tahsin’s voiceover. Yes, Korhan, my first born, we had many fights. We broke each other’s hearts. I loved you so much, son. While you are lying in this cold place, how can I live? I promise you, son, I will take revenge. I will save Suhan and that man will die.

Mihriban arrives at the morgue. Tahsin says, it’s weird, right? Now I only have you on my hardest day. They embrace. It’s too hard, he tells her. They say God gives death in it’s turn, but may God not give anyone his own child’s death.

Reporters flock to Cesur’s house and broadcast the news. They stop Kemal and Sirin returning home. Sirin tells them off. Cesur goes outside and speaks to the press. It’s a sad day for us, we lost someone we love. Someone the whole of Korludag loved.

Riza brings food to Suhan. He tells her he doesn’t expect her to love him. He knows he’s a little crazy, but he’s smart enough to know she will never love him. Your biggest mistake was to love Cesur and I’m your punishment. Think of it like this, he says, you won’t love me but you will get used to me. People get used to worse. Suhan kicks the tray of food over on him and says, never! It will never happen.

Riza is disappointed in Suhan. Look what you did, he says. He holds up some wildflowers he picked. I wore a classy shirt for you. I thought this was the first day of our lives together. Nevertheless, he stays calm. I can’t get angry with you, he says, no matter what you do. He cleans up and take the tray away.

Mihri is with Tahsin at his house. She brings him a sedative but he doesn’t want it. I deserve this pain, he tells her. He says this is his fault. Riza came to get revenge on him, and he did. He takes Mihri’s hand and cries, I can’t take it. You have to, she replies, Riza has your daughter. Cesur will find her.

Cesur goes to his truck. Rifat asks where he’s going. To find Suhan. Rifat says he will go with him and do the driving.

Reyhan makes halva for Korhan’s soul. Sirin gets a call from Cahide. Cahide is happy she finally got through to someone. She asks for Korhan. He was supposed to pick them up from the hospital. Sirin didn’t know Cahide had the baby. Cahide is annoyed that Korhan didn’t tell them. Sirin can hardly keep it together. She congratulates Cahide. Cahide asks if Sirin is crying. It’s from happiness, Sirin fibs.

Cahide asks where everyone is, Korhan, Suhan, Tahsin. Sirin doesn’t answer but asks what hospital she’s in and says they will come to get her. She quickly ends the call. Cahide is suspicious that something is up. Maybe something happened to Suhan?

Kemal says the funeral is tomorrow, they have to tell Cahide. Sirin agrees but she didn’t want to do it on the phone.

Riza is watching Cesur on TV. We hear the rest of what Cesur said to the press: Today Korhan Korludag was brutally murdered by Riza Cirpici. Then the bastard kidnapped my wife. I want to tell everyone… that murderer is a very dangerous man. I’m asking everyone to help us.

We see a woman watching Cesur’s plea. She sits up and takes special notice. Cesur continues, anyone who saw, heard or knew him, where he stayed, or has even has the tiniest information, should inform me or the police. I promise to reward anyone who finds or helps to find my wife.

We see a flashback of Riza with the doomed taxista. There’s a woman in the back seat who is blindfolded. Riza gets in the trunk of the taxi and they take off. The taxista drops the woman off in town and gives her money.

Amor-val Final #66 Cuts part 2

Suhan has been listening to Cesur, too, and she softly calls his name. Cesur addresses Suhan: if you are watching this, I will be with you soon. Don’t worry.
Rifat tells Cesur that driving around is useless. Let’s go home and wait for word from the police. Cesur starts to blame himself.

Reyhan, Sirin and Kemal arrive at the hospital. A doctor accompanies them into Cahide’s room. What’s wrong, Cahide asks? Reyhan tells her to stay calm and think of the baby. Cahide asks, did something happen to Korhan? No one says anything and she gets agitated. Sirin finally tells her Riza killed Korhan. Cahide starts wailing…. Korhan! No! She needs to be sedated. [A very crappy thing the writers did, killing Korhan to punish Cahide and Tahsin. ]

Korhan’s funeral. As Tahsin shovels dirt on the grave, he tells Korhan, wait for me, okay? We will be together soon. Cahide shows up at the cemetery, aided by Reyhan and Sirin, and cries for her husband. She falls on her knees at the grave and cries, what will I tell Nurhan? I’m so sorry, Korhan. Forgive me!

The woman from the taxi calls Cesur. She knows something that might help. Cesur wants to meet her. They meet in the middle of nowhere. The woman says she knows Rasim (the taxista) from the neighborhood. He said “we will bring someone to Korludag in the trunk, and you will sit like a customer.” She agreed because she needed the money. She tells Cesur where Rasim hangs out and where his taxi stand is.

The taxista shows up at Riza’s hideout. Riza says they will leave in a couple of hours but first he needs to take care of something.

Cesur has the cops check out the taxi stand. The cops say Rasim hasn’t been seen since yesterday. He had a “special job”. The cops have his plate number so finding him will be easy. Some guy is lurking and watching this. He makes a call to Rasim to warn him.

As he sits by Suhan’s bedside, Cesur wonders what it would be like if they met under different circumstances. In a different place and dimension…. We would be living that dream. It seems like Suhan hears him and we see what she imagines. He comes by on a white horse and finds her stranded with a disabled car. He introduces himself as Cesur Karahasanoglu. He takes her home on the horse. Real life Cesur tells her, I knew from the first moment, I would never leave you.

Hulya calls Cahide from prison. She heard about Korhan and gives her condolences. She tells Cahide to be strong. Hold on to your daughter’s love. You’ll find solace in her, trust me. Hulya asks about Zafer. He’s fine, Cahide answers, everyone takes care of him. Don’t you take care of him, Hulya asks? He needs a mother. It was you who wanted him. You would be his mother. Hulya starts crying. Look at God’s work. Who knows how long I will be here, 20… 30 years. Is there any room for Zafer in your heart?

Cahide stays silent. Hulya says she’s begging her to be a mother for him. Cahide takes a deep breath and tells Hulya, okay, your son will be under my protection. He will be like my own child. I promise. Hulya says she will never forget this kindness. End call. Hulya breaks down sobbing.

Cahide sees Korhan in the room sitting in a chair. He tells her she did the right thing and he’s proud of her. Are you really here, she asks? Of course, he replies, I wouldn’t leave you and my daughter. I miss you very much, Cahide says, please don’t go. On one condition, he tells her, this shall remain a secret. She agrees because then they would send her to the madhouse. They laugh and then they kiss. Then we see Cahide talking to an empty chair.

Amor-val Final #66 Cuts part 2

Mihri visits Bulent. They talk about what’s happened. Mihri is optimistic. Bulent will get out of prison, Suhan will get better. But Korhan won’t return, Bulent says, Korhan was my only friend. I couldn’t even attend his funeral. I deserve to be here. I let greed own me. They don’t deserve this, they are innocent. Cesur, too. All he wanted was to take back what was stolen from him. I worked to prevent that. I realize now that life isn’t fair.

Cesur sits with Suhan again and talks to her. We go back to that imaginary world Suhan created. She smiles and Cesur gets excited.

We get a lot more of Cesur talking to Suhan and she continues to dream of the different place and dimension where everything is perfect. Suhan introduces Cesur to Tahsin and he’s pleased to meet him. Tahsin and Fugen get along very well. Real life Cesur says he wants to name the baby Korhan.

Serhat tells Cesur that Riza was found to be mentally unstable at trial and they sent him to a psychiatric hospital. He completely lost his mind after he was caught. Cesur is sure Riza is faking.

We get the scene with the nurse giving meds to Riza and then we see Cesur standing outside the psych hospital. Yep, Cesur has one of his brilliant plans in the works.

Tahsin invites Mihri over. He tells her he owes her a 40 year old apology. She tells him she forgot about it a long time ago. [liar!] He should forget about it, too. It’s water under the bridge. Tahsin knows she didn’t forget. You cried a lot. I upset you very much, he says, I disgraced you and your family. Leaving a bride at the wedding table is a big deal.

Mihri gives a chuckle and says, I don’t know why my father didn’t shoot you. Tahsin says it was because he knew why I left you. He continues, Nurhan was very interested in me those days. There was a big party here one night. You left early, remember. Mihri remembers. We drank, Tahsin says, and at the end of the night, I was with Nurhan. Mihri is shocked.

You gave into the devil, Mihri says. Tahsin answers he told Nurhan that this wouldn’t happen again and she couldn’t tell anyone. She promised. But then she learned she was pregnant. Her father came and threatened to kill both you and me if I didn’t marry his daughter. Mihri asks, is this why you married Nurhan? Not for money? I did it to protect you, Tahsin replies.

Why didn’t you tell me, Mihri asks, we could have gone far away. You were the flower of this land, Tahsin tells her, I couldn’t have picked you and gone away. But we would have been together, she replies. You were 17 then, Tahsin reminds her, you knew nothing. But my heart was dark. So, I never regretted that I left you because I saved you from myself.

Cesur tells Suhan when she recovers and they have their child, they will take a long boat trip. Suhan dreams of this. She holds her year old baby as they say goodbye to everyone at the dock.

Suhan goes into labor and Cesur is nowhere to be found. He doesn’t answer his phone. But we know where he is. Sirin worries. The doctor said either the baby will wake Suhan up or…. Sirin prays for Suhan and Cahide curses Riza.

We saw the rest!

Sorry, I mislabled my last post, it's #3!

amor-val

Thanks very much, Susanlynn, for your comments now and ALL your comments throughout the dizi. I have enjoyed and learned a lot from them. And I definitely agree that this dizi really did require an "industrial strength beanie," especially at the end. I hope you and I will be watching another novella/dizi together sometime soon.

Dondi356, thanks IMMENSELY for filling in so much that Telemundo chopped! To be honest, though I'm happy to know all this, I confess I'm content to just read your account and not have to sit through all the sequences where Suhan and Cesur are talking to each other via ESP, and also the additional dream sequences. And though I'm glad the dizi does answer Susanlynn's question about what happens to Zafer, trying to imagine Cahide as a good parent to her own child and Zafer makes me reach for one of Susanlynn's industrial strength beanies. On the other hand, I'm VERY glad to know about TK's discussion with Mihriban where he describes the real reason he abandoned her at the altar: it wasn't for Nurhan's money, it was to save Mihriban's life. I guess that was just one of several ways in which the dizi redeems TK in the end, even though he dies. I'm somewhat surprised Telemundo cut this and very glad you included it. Again, MANY MANY THANKS!!

Amor Val

Dear dondi, thank you so much for supplying us with the last missing pieces and answers to some of the puzzles that have haunted us , for example, why Tah didn't marry Mir.

We missed all the loose ends being neatly tied up. So in the end,the chicken heads ( ha..Carmella) get their punishments , but the writers melted Hulygan's stone cold heart and made her love her bebe and beg Cahide to care for him. Cahide ends up with two bebes , the one she schemed for and Korhan's, but she doesn't have Korhan to bully and try to manipulate anymore . My bet is that July an is terrorizing all the women in the prison and maybe the guards. Cahide will pro shot eventually find dine other guy to henpeck. And so it goes.

The actor playing Korhan plays a BSC villain in Kurulus Osman. He is over the top in that one.

I enjoyed this fun ride that started with Thor on a horse wearing an outfit from the Eddie Bauer catalog. It was love at first sight . I still haven't completely forgiven him God that cutting his hair. Cesar isn't the only one that can hold a grudge.

I think Riza was one of the most annoying villains I have ever watched . He was everywhere all the tine...usually lurking behind a bush.

amor-val

Thanks so much, Juanita, for such an excellent and thorough recap of the finale! I really enjoyed your editorial comments as well. Such as: shades of Hercai where continuing a pregnancy would kill off the mother who, of course doesn't die. Why do these writers think we're going to buy THAT?

I stopped trying to add up Riza's body count. Being a taxi driver is a risky job in Korludag. I would have liked Riza back in prison rather than blown up. He needed to suffer some more.

I was so relieved Riza was unable to kill the poor farmer who helped Suhan. That may be the only time he missed!

At least we didn't get some scenes of "happy grampa" with Tahsin in the bosum of his family.

I fully expected a pregnancy for Sirin. IIRC she sort of blushed and said she was trying to her mother.

This is from Thursday's show. So...how did Riza fire at Korhan from not that far away and the bullet doesn't go through poor Korhan and hit Suhan as well?

I loved the final scene on the boat. They even gave little Korhan Cesur's blue eyes.

Susanlynn, your wit never fails to make me laugh. I LOVED the idea of Cahide selling those bellies on e-bay!

amor-val

Once again, thanks so very much, dondi, for writing all those dramatic scenes that we didn't get to see. This especially applies to Tahsin baring his soul to Mihriban. The way you wrote up the cuts gave us ample opportunity to understand that Tahsin planned to sacrifice himself. Telemundo made his choice abrupt and hard to understand.

Not sure I would have bought Hulya's "getting religion" in prison and begging Cahide to care for chubby little Zafer.

The description of Suhan dreaming of a happy family reminded me of the one scene in Hercai where they showed Reyyan imagining a family dinner with the whole cast, included Azize, smiling and happy. This was when Azize was at her evil worst.

And, yes, they should have included Bulent in prison. He richly deserved it.

amor-val

Thanks very much, novelera, for your comments. I'm supposed to be somewhere in an hour, so I can't say more now, except many thanks.

Enjoyed the time spent with you ladies as we partook in this dizi. Excellent, funny, snarky and warm hearted recaps and comments. Glad everything was filled in—-as it should have been. I almost wished for a Mean daddy- Mirhiban reconciliation, but it became apparent that Mean daddy had other plans. He did love Adalet, and decided to join her. Loved the alternate universe, when I went to the Turkish version and watched them. How things are ,and how we would’ve liked for them to be was a very nice touch. Love can be fulfilling without all that drama! Still sad about Korhan, but his spirit lives on! Cahide and Hulya probably have a same sex union coming up in the future, because I can’t see them with anyone else. Like the idea of Banu and Serhat too! May Bulent be alone for the rest of his ever-lovin days. Glad hell is warming those Riza-cheeks, and I hope Mean daddy’s final sacrifice earned him some brownie points and time with Korhan……

Good dizi! Thank you all!!

Thanks very much, carmella, for all your terrific comments and an occasional mini-cap. As I've said before, I love your sense of humor and your way with words. I hope we'll see you here again for other telenovelas/dizis.

I enjoyed watching this again through the patio’s eyes. I’m sorry that Telemundo did a disservice to you by cutting crucial scenes. This is one of the reasons I prefer to watch dizis in their original format.

Tuba and Kıvanç were a good match. She's beautiful and he's handsome. Both very good actors.

I liked the way they “redeemed” Tahsin and let him retain some of his character. He never groveled like Bad Grannie in Midyat did. After Tahsin told Cesur and Suhan he deserved the Karahasanoglu inheritance, Suhan told Cesur that her father would never completely change.

Glad that Bulent and Hulya got prison. Maybe they will be better people when they are released.

I liked Mihriban very much. She suffered but she was strong and persevered.

I thought Sirin was supremely annoying to the end.

I will always be pissed they killed Korhan.

I worry about Cahide’s mental health. She sees Korhan all the time. In a cut scene, Reyhan felt something was odd about Cahide’s behavior. It was because “Korhan” was in the room.

What a miracle! Suhan sure looked great for someone who was in a coma for 4 months. Her makeup was perfect!

We didn’t see anything of Banu at the end. Nice to think she ends up with Serhat.

And speaking of Serhat, we never found out about his motivations.

Thanks again to Juanita and novelera for great recaps. Great comments everyone.

I'll probably give El Fuego del Destino a try but I'm not expecting much. I'm really looking forward to La Reina del Sur 3!

Dondi, I don't think I will watch Reina . I saw a few scenes online from the first season ,and it seemed to not be my cup of tea. I will give Fuego a try.

I started watching a Turkish show called " The Protector " on Netflix. I thought I might see some familiar faces, but I didnt. However, I liked the young actor and scenes of Istanbul , and it held my interest . It turned out to be a superhero type show, and I am not into them ,but I will give the second episode a try . I laughed at those omnipresent glasses of tea on a tray. ..a staple in all the Turkish shows .

I will miss this patio . It's a small group but a lovely one ..kind, smart, interesting, funny . ...the kind of people you want to be around.

AMOR VAL

Thanks to the recappers; who were able to fill in the apparent hours of the show that were butchered by Telemundo. I have the last three recorded but probably will skip.

I lost interest when Riza was able to do things normally seen only in Harry Potter marathons.

Glad everything worked out for the dreamy lovers, thou at a giant body count.

Now then I have actually paid far more attention to Infidel. My husband and I call it "The scissors tele"; I love this one, Now I get double hours for two weeks. Yes bring the scissors.

Fev, I only catch a few minutes of Infiel. I remember the leading lady from "Madre" which was so upsetting that I only caught a bit of it . This actress seems to have only one frozen expression. I don't think I have ever seen her smile. I don't know what's happening , but I hate the husband . I decided to skip it . I did notice one actor was in Kurulus Osman as loyal alp to Osmsn. Have you watched that show starring Burak Ozcivit?

OT The Protector

Susanlynn, I watched some of The Protector. I thought it was okay so far. I’ll probably go back to it at some point. I know several of the actors in it, including Okan Yalabık, who was fantastic as Ibrahim in Magnificent Century. Metin/Fatih from KPA is listed in the cast and so is Selim from Fatmagül. The lead actor, Çağatay Ulusoy, is a big deal. I’ve seen him in a couple of movies and one dizi. I like him well enough to keep watching his work.

Hopefully we can draw you back to the Telemundo side soon. I enjoy sharing a patio with you. Maybe Fuego del Destino will be good.

Susanlynn

I only watch whatever is on directTV, we don't have Netflix or any others. Emir's ever evil Pa from Amor Eternal is in this one and what a wuss; my husband noticed him first and he has a harpy wife, so what if he had a bastard kid show up 26 years later. He has the perfect house to shove her off the balcony. But NO. Somewhere Emir is shaking his head in shame.

Yeah this one is no romance but more psychological drama.

amor-val

I sort of feel the way I did when my fantastic Canadian next-door neighbors moved back to British Colombia after being my neighbors for 10 years. I'm going to miss you all!

Fev, I am watching Infiel. It's currently pretty interesting. However, we don't have any recappers, and I'm not volunteering.

Novelera

I am glad someone watches this one. I like to see the constant social media and at least in this one, the police seem to be actually involved. Yeah I am pretty sure, Volkan of the sketchy behavior will be brought down. Still in all everyone knows he is a professional liar with a massive sunglasses collection.

infiel

Yep, we DO love to hate Volkan. But recently I am almost sorry for him because of the way Derin has set him up. And Selcuk is apparently being redeemed. The actor playing him has done a good job. He was odious in the beginning and now he's trying to help Asya and warming to his mother, just a little bit.
