Andrea is fierce and fabulous. No knight in shining armor need apply. Great moves with the pool stick and her shoving the money in her scared sh**less tormentor’s mouth was a bonus.
Speaking of scared, too bad Sebastian and Diego warned Nacho away from Sofia. Mario had no right to talk to Sebastian as he had already moved on with Gladys. Initially, I thought Sofia’s hard shell and demeanor (begging for an anger management class) belied a softer interior. Think I was way off…looks like Sofia is done.
Bad enough Diego still hasn’t told Katya the truth but he’s going to let her goad him into a staged wedding? Color me confused.
I still like Brandon with Vilyeri. Actually, I like Vilyeri more than Brandon. He’s kind of a jerk.
Did Rene know Gonzalo is Katya’s father or did Chabela accidentally reveal it?

Part 1 of 2
Alejandra advised Casilda to marry Leonardo to get revenge on him. Her plan included a means to reclaim that which is rightfully Casilda's.
Heriberto saw the video of Gertrudis and Pedro on his laptop. There was a crowd gathering outside which included past rape victims of Heriberto's. Gertrudis tried to tell them that the video was faked but they weren't buying it. She still managed to get through while pushing Juventino in his wheelchair.
Heriberto demanded that his staff find out who posted that video and to get it off the internet. Gertrudis entered and ordered him not to do business with Lucia. She was derisive when asking him whether he expected to conquer her by doing so. She refused, saying that half of the town is demanding his head. She intended to file for divorce which would confirm for the town that he is corrupt. He growled then told her that whether she liked it or not she would obey him. “You don't know me, Gertrudis. You don't know what I'm capable of.” Juventino growled and gave him a death glare.
Alejandra gave Fernando the file she got from the lawyer/PI and he learned that Roxana was not pregnant. He asked why Lucia thought so. There was no ballistics report, which would have cleared Fernando who had never handled a firearm his entire life.
Lucía begged Casilda not to get married because she was being manipulated by her godmother and told her not to sign any power of attorney.
Fernando asked Lucia who told her that Roxana was pregnant. She told him that Rafael did after seeing the forensic reports. He asked her whether he still had a chance with her and she coldly told him No. She then walked away.
Casilda invaded Isaura's snack to tell her she had to help with her wedding to Leonardo. Isaura was a little confused.
Gabino was fed up with Pilar's loyalty to Alejandra, whom he wanted out of their lives. [He looked ten years older than when we saw him last.]
Fernando confronted Diego about his testimony that he and Rafael were working together all night when Roxana was murdered. Diego did not fess up and Rafael entered without knocking. He ordered Fernando to leave, calling him a murderer. Fernando warned Rafael that he was going to prove that he is innocent of Roxana's murder. Rafael was very wound up when he ordered him out. As Diego showed Fernando out Rafael cleared the desk in a rage, Diego still did not come clean with Fernando.
Alfredo called Heriberto from the prison for help. Heriberto almost told him to go to hell.
Claudia met Marta for the first time. I don't think Marta knew about her history.
Alfredo called Michelle saying he was in desperate trouble and begged her for help.
Diego went back into the office and Rafael accused him of having betrayed him.

Part 2 of 2
Lucía spoke with Toña who told her about the mob outside Heriberto's office. Lucia confirmed to Toñita that she leaked the intimate video of Gertrudis and at the same time discovers that Rafael put Heriberto as Municipal President. After the all Lucia spoke to Pedro saying she needed information about Heriberto. She would pay twice as much for that.
Isaura tried convincing Leonardo to marry Casilda on the promise that she would give him access to Casilda's inheritance. [He was nervous and probably getting a creep vibe.]
Lucia picked up a baby toy and thought about her baby's birth and Rafael telling her that the baby died. She started crying until she heard Rafael in the next room on the phone with Heriberto, whom he told that his money had disappeared. She also heard that Rafael had manipulated the election so that Heriberto had his position.
Gertrudis entered Heriberto's study to tell him that the scandals have to stop. He told her he had bigger things to worry about, like their dinero having vanished. Before she could berate him for this his lawyer arrived to tell him that there is a warrant out for his arrest because of the multiple rape charges against him.
Michelle visited Alfredo to tell him to forget about her forever. He sang the same old song but she stopped his ending the encore. She walked out.
Pilar ended her relationship with Gabino despite that it hurt her to do so. It also upset his daughter.
Lucia asked Rafael about his businesses. He was a little surprised that she did, but pleased. He wanted to get it on with her but she said to wait [So no couches were moved in all this time and she still sleeps in a separate room? Bravo, Lucia!]. “My enemies will fall soon, one by one,” she said, implying that it would be something to celebrate. Her phone rang and she went into the next room. Pedro obtained information from Heriberto that Lucía needed. It included his ownership of the casino. She called a lawyer and told him she had information about their corrupt mayor.
Fernando took advantage of his family's reunion to ask Paulina to marry him. Diego looked astonished while Fernando's family looked confused.
Heriberto shouted at his lawyer on the phone. He was being deposed.
After some hesitation Paulina accepted Fernando's proposal. He put the ring on her finger and they kissed. Diego admitted to him that he had not told the entire truth.
Leonardo proposed to Casilda in front of her whole “family.” She refused to marry Leonardo because he is only interested in her money. Alejandra was not happy about this. Lucía backed her decision and Casilda ordered everyone out of her house.
Wow, Diana, "Great moves with the pool stick and her shoving the money in her scared sh**less tormentor’s mouth was a bonus."
Andrea grew up poor and rough after her mother died, but where she learned her Kendo moves with a pool stick I don't know.
But calm down, Diana, or next thing is you'll be prowling low rent districts looking for bar fights and guys to beat up :-)
Tyler sure looked happy there when Erika approached him, and I think I did too. Then she morphed into Andrea. OK, Tyler is hung up on Andrea, no doubts now.
I have always liked Laura Vignatti but as Sofía she's not very nice, she's playing a really hard woman in this show.
I very much like Katya in spite of her criminal tendencies, but she is obsessed with Diego and Diego is not really interested. Unrequited love, too bad, so sad, time to move on.
Katya is also tricky. I would be very careful of her wedding plans.
I like Viiyéri quite a lot, Brandon somewhat, but I think he may have promise.
I don't think René yet knows who is Katya's father; when he finds out he won't be happy. And Andrea was way too harsh with poor Chabela.
Andy
Urban, thank you for a great recap that captured every domino being put into place as we speed to the finale.
I wasn't expecting Paulina's diagnosis or Fernando's proposing marriage.
The villains are starting to fall as the innocents awaken to what has been happening to them . Here we go. I am Most interested in Isaura's anvil.
Andy, I just belly laughed at "But calm down, Diana, or next thing is you'll be prowling low rent districts looking for bar fights and guys to beat up :-)". HA! Maybe years ago there might have been a tiny possibility of contacting Curtis Sliwa, but now... 😊
Yes, Tyler is a "goner". About time for Erika to pack up and get out.
Laura Vignatti is one of my favs and apparently one of Osario and Gonzalez as well. I like her with Ignacio but I'm always afraid she is going to eat him alive.
I agree Katya is tricky and Diego may end up getting a lot more than he bargained for with the upcoming "fake" nuptials.
I admire Andrea for not revealing Katya's father all this time. Yes, Rene is going to be livid when he finds out the truth.
Andrea is so complicated. She showed Chabela her evil twin side last night. Not nice.
I appreciate your comments which help me put many missing pieces together.
Diana
Gracias, Urban. Loved the recap.
I really liked the ending of the capítulo.
Susanlynn, I wasn't expecting the things you listed either.
More later.
I wasn't expecting that diagnosis either but it would not have been fair to Marta to suffer the loss of any of her children. This also satisfies the usual need for a sacrificial lamb and might give this actress an opportunity for a sad death scene.
Diego will definitely freak at losing the sister he previously tried to control.
Urban, Diego will definitely freak out. He has started already, lol. I can picture Diego, with a worried look on his face, thinking "Oh no, no, no! Why can't I control her cancer too?"
Always wonderful to read your comments SpanProf!
The longer Diego waits to tell the truth, the worse it's going to be.
We know Erika will be collateral damage so yes, it's best that she move somewhere where she can start anew. I have no doubt there will be someone waiting in the wings...
Thank you for relating exactly what Chabela said. And yes, Rene's little grey cells are already heating up and he's sure to come to the truth soon.
Vil and Brandon make me smile. I loved his reading the book upside down. She doesn't let him get away with anything.
I don't know if Uni is snipping away, but lately, they've done it to some exxtent in almost every recent evening TN. I wouldn't be surprised!
Diana
I watch this novela sporadically, and don't how much the possibility of Tyler knowing that Andrea is a fraud has been brought up. Or, he could also be a fraud. That's about the only way I'd be okay with those two ending up together.
I often find that his responses could be taken at face value or have another meaning entirely. Or he's a choir boy at heart. Lol. I bet not.
Beth S
Beth, we have fairly often wondered about Tyler's "gullibility". Does he really accept the "explanations" that Andrea often has to make on the spot?
Etc., etc. No conclusion so far, but he does seem to have money, while Andrea's team does not. So I don't think he's trying to scam anybody, but he might just be playing along for the fun of it. Or for another reason?
Or he might be as gullible as he seems, maybe.
Diana, "I don't know if Uni is snipping away... I wouldn't be surprised!" Arrrgh! I hate Uni's messing with a good telenovela, but they seem to have no compunctions whatsoever.
Andy
Helena lovingly tells Gonzalo he and their children are her reason to live. He sort of smiles and says nothing.
Rene is disgusting. When he grabbed Andrea’s arm, she should have slapped him silly. Where was the righteous anger with which she dispatched the imposter last night?? After bullying Andrea to reveal who Katya’s father is, Rene tried to turn everything around so he is the victim! I did like him barring Gonzalo from the house. Now if he would just banish himself.
Mario and Gladys are moving forward quite quickly. I think “divorce” was music to her ears. She is right that Mario is an excellent father.
I know nothing about Megan and understood nothing about her convo with Andrea. But I do have to ask – did Gonzalo tell Brandon he had to/should get back with Megan or did I misinterpret that?
Lolita does not look impressed with with her son’s home. Or Diego.
Spas aren’t my thing but oh my it looked luxurious and so relaxing. I don’t know if those flashbacks actually happened or were fantasies, but boy they were hawt.
Almost anyone would be preferable to Gonzalo and Rene. Tyler is starting to look like Prince Charming.
Diana
Tyler is a compulsive matchmaker!
Diana, I agree that Gonzalo is very disappointing these days. I don't know why he thinks he's in love with Andrea or that she would be interested. Definitely sad for Helena.
Yeah, I think he wants Brandon to go back to romancing Megan so as to shut her up. He doesn't want her bringing attention to the finca, where she thought they were shooting some sort of reality show (a story made up by Brandon). Too much attention to the finca and there goes the scam!
Is it me, or is Tyler's Spanish actually getting worse? :-)
Did Diego have to answer the door dressed like that? Anyway, I see where Sebastián gets his stuffiness.
I'm happy to see Mario and Gladys get on so well, and he finally managed a "Te amo." About time. It's a shame about Sofía, but she has turned out to be a hurtful shrew. Hopefully Melody will be OK.
This show has been playing us with Andrea and Tyler since the second episode, nothing really new here, just a bit more to ponder. Tyler says to himself "...what I feel for you is prohibited." Hmmm, does this mean he actually thinks Andrea is his sister, or...?
Andy
"Did Diego have to answer the door dressed like that? Anyway, I see where Sebastián gets his stuffiness" had me smiling and nodding in agreement. Seeing Lolita, there are several descriptive words that come to mind, Warm and fuzzy are not among them.
Andy, you note that "Gonzalo is very disappointing these days" which leads me to believe that hasn't always been the case. I surmise I'm seeing the worse. But I sure don't like what I see and hear now.
I'm not convinced Sofia's bark is worse than her bite. When I recall that airport scene, I still cringe. I'm going to reserve final judgement until I see more.
Having missed 98% of this, to me Tyler is swallowing every word. I do think he believes Andrea is his sister although I've never seen sibs acting like the two of them when they are together...
Diana
Diana, I do not watch this show, but catch a few minutes before I start looking at the avocados. I caught the scene of the young guy answering the door . I am guessing she is Sebastian 's madre( his novio's ?). This novela and the characters seem quite bizarre and confusing to me, but some seem to be enjoying it. Iran Castillo has been popping up in a few shows lately . I first saw her as Hipolita's evil step sister who changed for the better in Alborado.
Highlights (copied-pasted from Wikipedia):
• Isaura, feeling Casilda's rejection, threatens to tell the truth.
• Juventino reveals that Heriberto wanted to kill him.
• Alejandra gives the order to throw away all of Isaura's belongings.
• Heriberto threatens to take revenge on Gertrudis and Juventino.
• Pilar is willing to help Casilda.
• Fernando learns that Paulina has little time left to live.
• Isaura loses all her savings and seeks Rafael to blackmail him into revealing the truth.
• Lucía learns that Fernando and Paulina are about to get married.
• Pilar informs Alejandra that she will support Casilda to recover what belongs to her and Alejandra feels betrayed by who she thought was her friend.
• Fernando assures Lucía that he is going to marry a woman who trusts him.
• Casilda reveals to Lucía that Valentina is not her daughter.
I wasn't expecting Casi to tell Lucía that Val isn't Casi's daughter.
Ha, Isaura deserved losing everything. Alejandra threw away that stupid mattress which had all of Isaura's money.
5 episodes to go.
Weirdo, thanks for the salient points of this episode . The best scene was greedy , conniving isaura discovering that her mattress full of money was thrown into the trash and then seeing her going BSC as she watched people grabbing her ill gotten bills as they floated off the garbage truck ... poetic justice . Ha
The anvils are getting into position over the wicked ones as we hope for some HEAs for the innocent victims .
Just finished watching the episode. I laughed when Isaura lost all that money. She deserved to lose it all and end up homeless. Lucia has no reason to trust her about anything and she will shortly have to hear the worst crime Isaura committed against her.
Who else thinks that Paulina will die before the wedding?
"And yep, it didn't take Rene long to bully his way into finding out Katya's true father" was exactly right SpanProf. I definitely think Rene is going to tell Katya. I can only hope Andrea gets to talk to her first.
Sofia's emotions always seem out of control. However, I think that her angry, teetering on violent reactions are in part to mask her hurt, the fact that she is vulnerable. She seemed genuinely crushed when she saw Mario with Gladys in the airport. She wanted her cake but didn't want Mario to have even a bite. Since then, I wondered if Sofia had cried in anguish and told Mario how she felt if they might have tried again. Sofia's volatility is her Achilles heel.
Diana
Urban, perhaps Paulina will get her wedding to her love and then having that final moment of happiness leave this veil of tears. Then, the path back to Lucia is open for Fernando , and he performed an act of friendship and kindness without consummation . That's what I would like to see.
