La herencia # 57 Wednesday 9/21/22 Pedro's Grab-A -Throat-A-Thon--OR--Is it a Concussion or Pregnancy?
IMPORTANT:
Only one episode tonight because of soccer.
We are pre-empted tomorrow night, too.
The recap for Friday's episodes will be up late Saturday or even some time on Sunday. It is going to be a busy weekend.
Now on to tonight's happenings.
1. Juli finds out (along with us)that Sara talked Juan into allowing her to have her office in the presidential section of the offices that he had kept just for himself. Juli is ticked that he is letting Sara get her way. Juan puts her in her place as to judging his decisions made at the company. It is not happening. She asks if he will be coming with her to the doctor as they planned. Of course, he wants to see his child. Juli strikes out again when Juan avoids a kiss from her but readily kisses the baby in her belly.
2. Sal offered Prospi and Rosa the use of the cantina for Juli's wedding. Rosa thanks him but the wedding is going to be held at the hacienda. She has imagined it all. Prospi tells her to put her imagination on hold because there will not be a wedding at the hacienda. He thanks and tells Sal, they will consider his offer.
3. Puppy love problems for Brandon. Brandon tells her about having 100 kids looking at his robots. He misses Dulce. Dulce is feeling jealous knowing there is a girl who follows Brandon around all the time. (Does anyone remember her name?) This girl wants him to hang on to her backpack for her with her savings for her new bike until she can convince her mother to let her buy it. Brandon doesn't look interested. ( and I have no interest in this either. )
4. Simón, Mateo and Lucas discuss the whole issue of Juan and the embezzlement that they just sat through. Lucas is upset that Juan told Simón part of what was going on but not him. How could have they doubted Juan? Lucas thinks that Sara was like she was with Juan because of the "proof" that Pedro showed her. Simón is sure of one thing: it is all going to get worse and blames the strange rivalry Pedro and Juan always have had. Lucas wants to know why Pedro hates Juan so much. He had always protected him. Mateo thinks it all got worse when Severiano gave Juan the presidency. Lucas wonders how Juan kept Pedro calmed down. What would he say?
5. Aurora runs after Pedro. He first grabs her by the throat but manages for Pedro to take his hands off of her throat. She tells him that she doesn't want to hurt him any more than she has but she has something to tell him. She tells him that she did not come back on her own. Dante came looking for her.
6. Brayan is still recovering asleep on the couch as Jessica snaps her fingers at him like at a dog. She slips his phone out of his back pocket and uses his thumb to try open it. When that dons't work, she points the phone at his face but still has no luck. Berta comes in asking what she is doing. Jessica wants her to help open his eyes. When Berta realizes what she wants to do, she starts to remind Jessica what she told her was basis of a good relationship. Jessica explains how she is at the end of her rope and talks Berta into helping her and holding Brayan's eyes open to get the facial recognition to work.
7. Pedro asks Aurora why Dante brought her there. She says she already planned to come to see them. She felt like being close to them even if it were from afar but she didn't dare. She had no idea on how to approach them. Then Dante came to see her one day with the idea that she could appear one day at Santa Catalina. That is why she called Juan. Pedro concludes that he is still betraying him. Pedro wants to know what she was doing in the store. Aurora explains that she is working not for Rosa but for Deb who took pity on her. Deb said she would have no problem working there because she owned the business. Aurora calls Pedro "son" and tells him he is not alone and goes to touch him. He pushes her hands away and tells her NO ME TOQUES. She is there for whatever he wants or needs. She tries to touch him again and he grabs her wrists and gets in her face. He informs her that he needs nothing from her anymore. He pushes her away and warns her not to try to come see him again. He leaves. Aurora smiles to herself and says she will see what happens because Pedro is just like her. She is sure he is going to need her.
8. Simón, Mateo and Lucas all agree that they need to find Pedro. It is more important than ever that he isn't alone right now. Simón will ick up Paloma later. He fills them in that Paloma is looking to work as a lawyer. He is not a happy camper. Lucas thinks that is super cool. Simón explains that she has no need to earn a living.That is what he is there for. Mateo cannot believe he is thinking like that saying that Paloma has the right to realize herself both personally and professionally. Lucas thinks that Simón should support her career. Simón clearly doesn't like what he is hearing and asks them not to say such things in front of his wife putting those ideas into her head.
9. Juan and Juli run into the brothers as they are leaving. Juli announces that she and Juan are going to the doctor to see their baby. They also have a surprise: the wedding has been pushed up and is the day after tomorrow. The brothers all look surprised.
10. Dante is in his hotel room. He goes to leave when Pedro pushes him back inside. Pedro calls him a traitor and stars to beat him up. Dante has no reason why. He threatens to kill Dante as he continues to punch him.
11. Simón explains that they are all going to look for Pedro so he doesn't feel like they are all against him. As they try to think where he might be, Juli experiences some cramps and visible bleeding. Mateo and Juan assist her to the floor.
12. Tadeo is skipping down the stairs. Deb is stalking him from behind. Sara appears asking Adela if any one knows where Pedro is. Deb kicks Tadeo from behind and he goes flying down about the last six steps. Sara sees him flying and tries to catch him. She does but he knocks her back flat on the floor. She hits the back of her head hard. Deb remembers telling Dante how she was going to shut Tadeo up. Deb looks shocked as Sara and Tadeo are motionless on the floor.
13. The company doctor appears and tells Juli that she only had a small hemorrhage. He refuses to say anything more about her or the welfare of the baby until after he has the chance to looks her over in his office. Adela calls Juan letting him know what happened to Sara.
14. Deb is hysterical. She removes an apparently uninjured Tadeo and a hacienda hand calls for an ambulance to come for her Sara. Adela calls Juan to let him know what happened to Sara. Juan looks shocked. Modest comes rushing in and tells Deb not to move Sara. Deb keeps screaming for her"Saris" to wake up. Modesto tells the hacienda hands to get the SUV in case the ambulance takes too long.
15. Pedro has his hands on . . . Dante's throat accusing him of being a traitor allowing Juan and the others to make a fool out of him. Dante wants to explain while Juan tells him nobody plays him for a fool. He left him looking like an idiot in front of them all. He approaches Dante again but Dante has time to retrieve his gun from the nightstand. He points it at Pedro and tells him if he takes one more step he will kill him. He backs Pedro towards the door. Pedro is alerted to a text message but dares not reach for his phone. Juan tells him that Sara fell on the stairs and he needs to be with her.
16. Rosa wanders in with Prospi wanting to talk to Juan. He sends her to the doctor's office to see about Juli. How Juan wishes he were with Sara.
17. The ambulance has not arrived yet, Deb is still wailing and Sara finally comes to. The first thing she does is ask about Tadeo. Deb doesn't miss a beat in blaming that damed brat. Deb wants to give him what is coming to him but Adela protects him. Sara tries to call of her mother saying it isn't his fault. Tadeo si but a kid. Modesto warns Deb not to miss with his kid. Deb says she won't be touching Tadeo or anyone. Deb slaps her to put her in her place and remind her she is a lowly servant. Sara asks her other to come over because he head is hurting a lot. Deb is still hysterical. Sara cannot help she would dare to slap Adela. Sara assures Tadeo telling him that she is fine and not to worry about anything.
18. Dante tells Pedro that he put the noose around his own neck. He isn't as smart as Juan. Pedro starts to move forward again. Pedro says they both can go to hell. Dante tells him to move away and keeps the gun aimed at his face. Pedro calls Dante a damn traitor again but tells him not to worry. Pedro will get what is his. Dante calls him a traitor. He betrayed his own blood and the family who gave him a home. He lacks so much to be anything like Juan who is a real DelMonte. Pedro says he can go ahead and make fun of him. He swears that he will make Dante pay for what he did for him. Pedro moves closer. Dante puts his finger on the trigger and holds the gun to Pedro's forehead. Dante explains that could do nothing to save him. It was either his head or Pedro's. Pedro insists he will be investigating what Dante is up to. He knows that Dante and Deb are very bright but they won't be able to win over him. He slaps the gun away and leaves.
19. Adela is still upset about the slap but has to forget about herself and try to comfort Tadeo who is still upset. Tadeo insists it wasn't his fault that his auntie Sara fells. Adela believes him. He tells her that Deb pushed him. Adela tells him this is very serious and asks how she pushed him. He insists that she pushed him because she wants to kill him.
20. The company doctor tells Juli that the bleeding came from the implantation of the fetus and that she should rest. Juli has full confidence in the doctors diagnosis but Rosa not so much. Juan sends Lucas to Santa Catalina to check on Sara after her fall.
21. Brandon arrives at the hacienda to see his mother as Pedro takes the steps two at a time as he runs up them to see Sara.
22. Adela is pacing the kitchen saying how she cannot believe how evil Deb is to push a cild. She will have to tell Juan. Brandon arrives and asks whois going on. Adela explains that Sara fell from the stairs and hit her head all in an attempt to save Tadeo. Tadeo gets upset thinking she made it sound like it was his fault. It was Deb's fault. Adela assures him that nobody thought it was his fault. Bea comes in and wants to know what is going on hearing bits and pieces. She runs to Tadeo and hugs him asking what did that lady do to him. She then asks about Sara.
23. The company doctor makes a house call. He examines the bump on Sara's head and tells her that she might be feeling NAUSEOUS because of the hit to her head. He wants an X-ray done immediately because of her previous head trauma and the fact that she was unconscious. Pedro is there to hold her hand as Deb says she will do whatever is necessary to take care of her daughter. Sara says that she and Pedro need to talk. Sara asks how Tadeo is. That is news to Juan. The door says that nothing happened to him because Sara cushioned him from the fall. Sara is happy. Pedro asks if his son had a fall. Deb says he did but her "Saris" caught him and almost died to save him. Pedro goes to see Tadeo. He has to see that he is okay for himself.
24. Bea sits with Tadeo comforting him in the kitchen. Pedro arrives in the kitchen and grabs Tadeo who tells him it wasn't his fault that he fell on his auntie Sara. Deb pushed him. Tadeo then goes on to tell him that Deb slapped Adela for defending him. He asks Tadeo if Deb pushed him just to make sure. He nods.
25. Juan and Juli arrive at Rosa's house with Rosa, Prospi and Alondra. Rosa goes crazy and prepares a space on the couch fro Juli. Prospi assures them all that Juli and the baby are fine. Rosa makes a point to Jessica that Juli is the the example of how to be. Juli almost lost her baby and she is alive and kicking while Jessica isothere not doing anything. Jessica is afraid of losing her marriage. Brayan didn't go to work. He slept all morning and is barely bathing. Rosa tells her not to be toxic and asks if she hasn't seen how she makes her father jealous. Alondra tells her that she has other ways of controlling Prospi, too. Berta has to agree. Jessica complains that Juli is getting all the attention because she is having a Del Monte baby. Juli tells her to throw herself onto floor and have her tantrum. Rosa is all over Juli because she is having a difficult pregnancy. Juli tells Rosa how happy she is because she and Juan are getting married the day ofter tomorrow. Rosa is all excited. Prospi wants to talk to Juan.
26. Sara wants to get out of bed. Deb says she needs to rest the rest of the afternoon. Deb says Sara doesn't know how she felt when she saw that she was unconscious. Deb cannot believe how many things have happened to them since they came to the hacienda. Sara agrees. They both agree they need to continue on. Deb says they arrived together and they will live together. Sara does have to tell her that what she did wasn't at all acceptable. Sara will not argue the point because she doesn't want to ruin their relationship but what she did was really very bad. Deb reminds Sara that she knows how she has always had a short fuse. What really bothers her is when somebody who is lesser than her treats her as if she were at the same level. Sara tells her nobody is superior or inferior around here. Deb feels like her father's inheritance is affecting them all with some kind of evil. Sara looks at her like she is but says she doesn't believe in those kinds of things. What Sara does know is that the inheritance has brought fights and distance among all involved. Deb has never doubted that inheritances are something that the dead leave behind so that the living will kill each other. Sara doesn't want to hear any of that. Deb says Sara should just finish out the year, cash in her part of the inheritance and then the two of them can go off traveling together. Sara says it might not take only one year. She needs to get an update from Dante on her contesting the will. Sara apologizes for having been tough on her mother but she knows that she cannot stand injustice let alone mistreatment of any kind. Deb just thinks that Sara just judges too much sometimes. Sara think she needs to admit that she has done some bad things like going after Prospi, taking Rosa's store away . . . Deb says she is gone to try to control herself at this point. Sara also wants her to apologize to Adela in front of her. Deb cannot believe that she would asks her to do that but ends up agreeing to do it just for Sara. Lucas stops by to see how Sara is doing. Deb leaves. Lucas tells Sara that Juli also had a serious problem. She was bleeding.
27. Dante confronts Aurora at the store. He is not pleased that she was talking about him with Pedro. She said she had to because Pedro is very bright. She had to tell him that Dante had come looking for her. He grabs her saying she is making up for everything she didn't have as a prostitute as a fool. She breaks away and tells him not to insult her. She may be helping him but she will not allow him to undercut or torture her. Dante laughs. She insists that she has her own money. Dane asks if it is money that she takes away from men (Duh, she is/was in a service business that men seemed to be happy to pay her for) She insists she only came back to win back the affection of her boys. Dante continues telling her that she will never win back their love because they will never forgive her. Not even a bitch abandons its offspring. He doesn't believe that she doesn't need money. He has seen her ambition. Aurora agrees that they should put all their cards on the table. She thinks that he is ambitious as she is. She proposes that he help her to get close to Juan and she will get as much money out of Juan that she can and will she will split it with him BUT he has to allow her to control Pedro.
28. Back at the hacienda Pedro says goodbye to Tadeo as he leaves with Bea. Deb comes downstairs and notices the way Pedro si stain at her. She says if his eyes were guns . . . He takes her by the arm into the office to talk.
29. Prospi talks to Juan man to man. He knows that Juan doesn't love his daughter. He is marrying her only out of a sense of commitment and to give her the family she hoped for. Juan assures him that he is going to do all he can to not disappoint her or them. Juan will do what is expected of him. Prospi only asks that he do nothing to provoke Juli. Sara is capable of doing anything for her own happiness even if she has to fight against her own demons. Juli has fought against her pathological jealousy all of this time. Juan has to have noticed that they haven't had those kind of fights they had earlier on in their relationship. Prospi also tells him that he is not the first man to marry a woman he doesn't love but that by living together that love can become reactivated. He tells Juan to make her happy and not play with or hurt her. If he does, he will have to deal with him. Juan says he doesn't like the threats but that he also knows what he is doing. Prospi insists that he isn't threatening him, he is being preventative because he knows his daughter very well. He tells Juan he would not want to awaken the REAL Juli that lives deep inside of her.
30. Pedro hits the desk with a riding crop asking Deb why she pushed his son. She insists she didn't. Why would she get into it with a child? She he was carrying liquid, he slipped and he fell. That was the end of the story. He hits the desk again. Pedro insists that she can't fool him because his son isn't used to lying. Deb says that this time he did because Sara can confirm it was an accident. Sara doesn't lie. Pedro warns her that if she touches a hair on Tadeo's head, he swears he will kill her and he hits the crop on the furniture near her. She tells him that barking dogs don't bite. He takes the crop and pushes it against her throat and tells her about how accidents can happen. She pushes him away and asks if he is going to take her to his room in the warehouse where he tortures his enemies. Pedro laughs saying he is getting lots of ideas of what he could do with her. Deb warns him that he better not play with her either. Pedro wants to now what Aurora is doing at the fabric store. What is she plotting? What are she and Dante up to? Deb says they are only business associates. Pedro tells her not to lie. The knows that they are lovers.
31. Sara decides to get out of bed as she is talking with Lucas. She suddenly feels dizzy and NAUSEOUS. Lucas helps her sit back down.
32. Juan tells Prospi that he knows all about Juli's character. They were novios for years and he suffered the consequences of her personality. Prospi insists that he doesn't know her. When they were novios, Juli tried her hardest to be the best version herself that she could be. Juan says he tried his hardest to make he happy. Prospi says that was until Sara arrived in his life. Juan doesn't want Sara to be a part of this conversation. Prosit explains that Juli can be a lioness who will fight whatever she has to for her objectives. Prospi says that Juli loves him in her own way. Juan says he is marrying her to give their child a family. That is what he and Juli want. Prospi tells him to make Juli happy and not to give her any reason to be jealous or to have to compare herself to Sara or anyone else. Prospi says that Severiano might not be his father by blood but he is very much like him. Juan assures him he never wanted to hurt Juli or anyone. They both appreciate having had the conversation and they agree not to tell anyone else about it.
33. Lucas starts to wonder if the nausea and dizziness could be the signs of something else. Sara tells him not to even go there. After she cannot even get up, Lucas asks her if she could be pregnant.
34. Deb insists that it is just that Dante and she have known each other for a long time. Pedro isn't buying it. Deb mentions that he is married. Pedro doesn't see that as something that would stop her. Aren't married men her specialty? He asks if his father Sev was unmarried when she had her fling with him. Deb says that he was very special. He demands to know how long she has known Dante. She is tired of his questions. She is wasting time. She goes to leave and he grabs her by the throat. He warns her that nobody laughs in his face. He adds that if she wants to know about the room in the warehouse, he will happily take her there. Pedro starts to hallucinate and sees his mother's face. He throws her into the door warning her one last time that if she messes with his son, she will be dead. He cracks his riding crop one last time for emphasis. Deb actually looks upset.
35. Pedro gets a call from what sounds like a private detective. He has found out that Aurora lived on the border with the USA at Juárez. She then went to Puebla and opened a brothel a couple of years ago but something happened that caused her to move to a town in the state of Mexico.
36. Dante is still talking with Aurora. It sounds like the deal is on. Dante says controlling Pedro will not be as easy as she thinks. She gave birth to a monster. Aurora sees him as a different kind of being. He is special. Not anyone can understand him while Juan has a different disposition . Dante wants to know how much she is going to ask Juan for when he come stop see her. She isn't planning on asking him for money. Maybe she won't ask him for anything. Dante warns her to be careful with what she says Juan is no dope. She says just for that reason they have to be very careful around him. Pedro thinks with his guts. Juan is more intuitive. Dante laughs saying that she thinks she knows them so well. They are no longer the little boys that she hurt so badly and abandoned. She might have brought them into the world, but love and everything a good mother gives her children came from Catalina. Well, Aurora knows what she will do with that great love. Dante doesn't think she came for just a slice of what they have. She came for the inheritance, didn't she?? Aurora asks him what he thinks.
37. Sara tells Lucas not to mention how she is feeling to ANYBODY. He insists there won't be a peep out of him. She asks about how this therapy is going. He says it is going well but as she knows things don't change from one day to the other. She assures him that with the help of his therapist, the grace of God and all of his efforts, he will be moving right on ahead.
38. Modesto tells Adela that Deb has no idea of what respect is. Adela says it didn't even hurt. She thinks the way to deal with Deb is to ignore her because it just makes her angrier. Adela tells him about how they threw a woman off the hacienda and were told she was not to be allowed back. Modesto thinks it must have been Pedro and Juan's mother. She wonders if she is a friend of Dante's. She got the impression when they saw each other that they knew each other. Modesto looks like has something to think about.
39. Juan stops by to see Sara and how she is doing. She says her mother overreacts to everything but she will get her x-rays tomorrow. She asks about Juli and he explains she and the baby are fine. He was worried when he heard about her and couldn't come to see about her. She understands that his baby and the mother of his baby are his priority. Pedro breaks up the conversation by slapping on the door. He asks if he is interrupting anything. Juan gets up and tells Pedro that he wants to see them all in his office before supper to talk about what happened earlier at the meeting. He leaves.
40. Sara invites Pedro to come sit on the bed to chat. She tells him not to fight with his brothers. Juan loves him and only wanted to save him from the trap he fell into being Henry's sacrificial lamb. Juan will always support and care for him because he loves him. Pedro wants to know what Sara really wants to tell him. She wants to see him back as vice president and fighting for the good of all together with the rest of them. She hugs him.

My favorite line of many was “she suddenly feels dizzy and NAUSEOUS”. Now whatever could that possibly mean? 😊
“Pedro is just like her.” Yes. How well his wretch of a mother taught him. He tossed Dante around like a rag doll and walked up to the barrel of the gun without flinching, then coolly pushed it away as he smirked and leisurely left the room. He caused Deb to have a rather worried furrowed brow tinged with fear for perhaps the first time.
“She proposes that he help her to get close to Juan and she will get as much money out of Juan that she can and will split it with him BUT he has to allow her to control Pedro”. There is the “control” line again! But how? My only guess is that Aurora has concocted some sort of mind control plan.
“He tells Juan he would not want to awaken the REAL Juli that lives deep inside of her” was a warning from an unlikely source. Perhaps Prospi should have gotten his daughter help rather than sending her back to a situation where she is a danger to herself and to everyone else.
I thought Deb was smarter than pushing poor Tadeo down the stairs by kicking him with her stiletto. If she had pretended to stumble, he would have fallen and had the same result with no one the wiser.
Simple Simon, believing the “little woman” should be home, tending to him rather than working. Basta!

We see Juli suddenly collapse at the bottom of the office stairs surrounded by the brothers . At the same time , Sara is knocked out cold at the bottom of the staircase of doom at the haciend a after catching Tadeo. Deborah Vibora has gone off the deep end using her stilettoed foot to propel a little kid down those stairs. She is , indeed, a witch . Her next hat should be black and pointed .
Why was Deb calling Sara " Saris? "
That was a lot of blood and that term "implantation of the fetus "...uh oh . That is not good. There can be some spotting during a pregnancy, but that was a lot of blood and Jul had cramping . ...Not a good sign.
What was up with that talk between Pros and Juan? Was Pros saying that there is an even worse Juli hiding deep inside the Juli we have all come to know and abhor ? Yikes .
We have to recognize that old, evil Dante can take a licking and keep on ticking. When Pedro grabs ( fill in the blank) it looks very real. Hope none of these actors didn't actually get hurt.
Well, this show isn't just spinning its wheels. Now Sara is pregnant ...and I expect Juli will lose her bebe.

What is up with Rosa and Pros dressed as condiments ...ketchup and mustard. I got a kick out of Rosa throwing those throw pillows at permanent couch potato Jess to clear the couch for Princessa Juli. Juan tried to keep his distance by sitting on the arm of the couch ... That didn't last long.

Okay, if Sara is pregnant, which I think she is, and if Juan continues being bamboozled by Juli, which I think he will, will it not make the whole reason for marrying Juli moot since he cannot marry both mothers of his children and give them the father he never had? His head could explode with that ethical dilemma. I still feel sorry for Juan. You are right that Deb should have stumbled and none would have been the wiser.
I think everyone, except for Juan and Pedro, has underestimated Aurora. She is far from stupid.
Times have turned rough for Deb and Dante. Will they be able to recover?
I do admit that I did laugh with Berta trying to hold Brayan’s eyes open.
Thanks for the explanation of Jessica trying to access Brayan's phone. She was obviously looking for evidence of infidelity which does not exist. Tragically, I don't think he will be talking for a long time.
Aurora is a damned fool if she thinks she can control Pedro. The only person who had any real power over him just lost it during the fight over getting framed for embezzlement. Nobody can control Pedro now and he has lost almost all control over himself. Now he only seems to be able to control himself in front of Sara, but that will not last long.
When he grabbed Deborah's throat he had flashes in which he was picturing Aurora, although they were brief. If you saw Quererlo Todo (now available on Vix+) this is what began happening to Lionel. Watch for more of this.
Deborah just crossed the last line in this episode. Attempted murder of a child should seal her fate. Her hypocrisy also has no limits. The whole idea about inheritances creating evil is ridiculous. All that is happening here is feeding and exposing evil that already exists.
"Putting her in her place"? Deborah has no place at this hacienda.
Yes, I think Sara is pregnant and once that comes to light Pedro will be accused. Deborah wants Sara to be with him because she wants her to be exactly like herself. I know what that hell feels like.
Deb really crossed the line with the attempted murder of poor, innocent little Tadeo. I agree that she should have pretended to slip, now it was too obvious.
Oh boy, Sara is pregnant. I hadn't even thought about that possibility, but it sure makes things more complicated and chaotic.

Deb just sank to a lower level of evil by pushing Tadeo. Well, I finally got to check off that Bingo box, but it was disappointing that it wasn't one of the evil-doers who fell down the escalera of doom.
At least Sara is starting to admonish Deb for her mistreatment of others. It's a start.
Aurora is as loco as Pedro. I agree that Pedro is losing control of himself. How on earth does Aurora think she can control him? The woman is delusional. The fruit didn't fall far from that tree.
A concussion can cause nausea and dizziness (thank you, Dr. Google) but since the doc didn't think she had one, a pregnancy it must be. And Juan can't marry both her and Juli to give his kids a father, so this will be interesting. Maybe Juli will miscarry?
It was sort of funny, watching Jessica trying to open Brayan's phone, first with fingerprint, then the facial recognition feature. She is such a waste of oxygen and space...
Prospi's convo with Juan about Juli was a bit chilling. I'm still not sure if he was trying to warn Juan about Juli, or what. Juan knows what he is getting into, though, and there is no way on earth their love will ever be recaptured. I can only see her getting more cray-cray when her "love" is not returned.

It is so frustrating that Sara continues to ignore Deb's threats and insults, and now we have seen that she isn't just all mean girl talk.
Who knew Deb was such a street fighter. First, she rumbles with Prospi and threatens him with her stilleto. Then, she tries to push back on Pedro when he grabs her throat. I like the way she pauses to stroke her silky hair after a fight. Deb puts on that heavy makeup which is like a mask , adjusts her hat, and sets off each day to stir the pot and make mayhem . Witchy woman .
It seems that Dante and Deb thought this scheme to steal the inheritance would be easy peasy at the start , but they hadn't counted on Pedro going totally BSC. Now that Dante has opened that Pandora 's box that is Aurora , she has joined in the delusion that someone can control Diego . Where do we go from here? Will Pedro finally reveal all to Juan and save him and his brothers from the evil trio? I

So Deb pushes Tadeo down the stairs and everyone is shocked but not enough to call the police or confront her. Pedro did confront her but went fairly easy on her. When you consider what he did to Brayan for going to Sara, I figured he’d kill Deb. And are they going to let Tadeo and Deb live in the same house. She has stooped to a new low. Her future is prison or death.
It looks like Aurora is interested in money, not forgiveness. I hope Juan can ignore her.
It sounds like Juli is a lot worse than what we’ve seen. But since Próspero mentioned it I feel we’re going to see it. Sara’s pregnancy could bring out the Juli we haven’t seen yet. Especially if she loses her baby. I had to laugh when they pushed Jessica aside so Juli could have the couch! Maybe they’re afraid of Juli! Juli may end up in a mental hospital! That was done recently in a previous telenovela

I know pregnancy with nausea and dizziness is a novela tell, but speaking as someone who has had an concussion in the past, seeing Sara suddenly dizzy and nauseous shortly after a head trauma in which she lost consciousness is a very big red flag for concussion!!! She should have been immediately sent to the ER regardless of what the doc said during the house call.
I don’t feel sorry for Juan at all but then I don’t buy into the whole idea that there is any honor in sacrificing your own happiness/love to give your child a home with married parents. It might (and I do mean MIGHT) have some value if Juan was committed to truly trying to make things work with Juli for the sake of their child - like actually try to commit to her, have a marriage and be happy - but no he’s trying to enter into a cold sterile, we will never be happy, never be in love, never have a real marriage or family but will be married on paper and live in the same house for the sake of the child non-union! Where’s the value in that???? Really, what are you even teaching your child? How to be miserable in life while patting yourself on the back because at least you didn’t screw up in the same way your parents did? Congratulations? Enjoy your miserable existence and here’s hoping Matea will be miserable in an entirely different way some day??? No, thank you! I will take growing up with divorced or unmarried parents over that misguided nonsense any day.

doris, it was great with just a single episode. I think it is a lot for a network to expect people in this day and age, to spend five nights a week on single episodes of their offering. I think it rises to the level of arrogance when they expect a viewer to spend ten hours a week on what they are presenting. You can tell I feel strongly about this. LOL. I wonder how it affected their ratings or if it did. Anyway, rant over, I am wondering what that girl is up to, too. Let us hope Brandon isn't naïve enough to fall for whatever she is selling. Susanlynn, I agree that I never suspected for Deb to be such a "street fighter" as you tagged her. She clearly is not afraid to get her hand dirtied or bloodied. I would also like Juli to the "smell the doom list." She is reprehensible coercing Juan into marriage.
Liz, such a good point that nobody thought to call the police or to confront Deb about Tadeo falling down the stairs except for Pedro. I think you are right about seeing an unhinged Juli very soon. Knowing what we know about her, it is amazing to me that she and Juan were novios for so many years but yet again, Juan has always been the caretaker of his brother(s), so he probably didn't even notice that he was doing the same for her until Sara arrived.
Darcy, it was unbelievable how Sara was so agreeable for letting let her x-rays go until next day. Maybe they just need time in the plot to bring up the PREGNANCY issue! ITA Juan will not be a good role model for marriage but he has been raised to be a self-sacrificing martyr at all cost to himself. I feel sorry for him because of the overwhelming guilt he feels when he doesn't carry out that role of rescuer and being morally responsible for his actions. He knows nothing else.
I was thinking about how interesting this drama has been in showing the results of sexual/physical abuse on men. Juan and Pedro were physically abused as kids. Juan came through as a decent human being while Pedro seems to be severely mentally ill. Then we have Lucas and Brayan who were put into positions of being helpless and victimized at the hands of other men and not being able to defend themselves as they had been raised to believe all men should be able to do. That has resulted in one being in therapy and the other escaping reality asleep on a couch.
The only reason I kind of feel sorry for Juan is because many things are happening to his life at the same time. He has Juli (which I have said that he really shouldn't have proposed to her, he could be supportive in other ways), then the Sara situation (in which he kind of screwed up), his abusive mom suddenly coming back, Pedro stealing from the company and blaming it on him (I guess he should have dealt with this sooner)... Actually, now that I think about it, I don't feel that sorry for him, lol. I felt this way because of what he was going through, but on second thought he is responsible for the situation that has been created (minus Aurora, I guess).
Kind of an OT. I'm very happy to have found outside of the box thinkers in this website (Darcy and Urban included, but this is for everybody else too.) Because let's be honest... There's always that one narrow minded person who ruins your day. Having been raised by my very outside of the box mom, I can't stand these people. I know I've said it many times, but I love the community here. I consider you all my close friends, even though we have never met in real life. Sometimes the people you can truly connect with are the farthest away from you...

No, family really is not everything when some family members are toxic or crazy. Even if Sev was still alive, he would approve of Juan marrying Juli. Juan wants to live up to Sev's values and teachings because that is all he knows. It's all about the DelMonte personal values, no matter how dysfunctional they are, and refusing to see healthier alternatives.
Looks like my comments got caught in the ether, so I'll try it again. The more I think about it, Juan is like the adult and the other bros are like discontented teenagers. Other than Lucas, nobody thinks of what Juan is going through, marrying someone he does not love. Sober Mateo needs to step up and take crazy Juli off Juan's hands. Do a DNA test of his own.

OT....Weirdo, I have been here since the beginning 14 years
ago , and I agree with everything you said about caray. In the beginning , the recappers ' photos were displayed and some people had their photos with their comments. However, other than those few photos, you really never saw the folks who were commenting . Kind of like the show " The Voice" , you only have the person's words presenting their thoughts and opinions to read and consider. Most of us who have been here for a long time know quite a lot about each other and can recognize who people are without seeing their name. . Therefore, you form connections to people via their personalities and ideas. I often mention this to my friends who find it interesting that I watch telenovelas when I don't speak Spanish ( including my friend who is a Spanish teacher ) and that I have been at caray communicating with people I have never met for many years. People at caray are truly caring , kind, tolerant, accepting , empathetic, and sympathetic to each otber in addition to being an intelligent, insightful, wise, and witty bunch. The patio can be a bit of an oasis when you need a bit of a break from the real world and a reminder that most people are goodhearted .

You guys have mentioned most of the things I had in mind, but I do have to say that Juli having implantation bleeding so far in her pregnancy sounds off. As far as I know, bleeding happens in the early stages, soon after the actual implantation. Her Severianito (our Matea) is already kicking, she's at the very least 4 months along, if she's bleeding it should be something else.
I do feel bad for Juan, because he was brainwashed his entire life to be the "leader" of his brothers, like Jarifa said, instead of their equal. After such a traumatic beginning of life, it's normal that he'd take everything Sev says as gospel.
He should know better by now, but maybe he will realize before the end of the show that he has to let them live their own lives.
All the brothers have been brainwashed in one way or the other, they are all the product of being raised by Sev, the biggest hypocrite who ever lived. Sara, supposedly his only bio child, grew up lonely, but more grounded in reality, with less trauma to deal with (considering she was raised by Deb, that's a miracle).
If Sara is pregnant, too, it Juan will simply have both women living under the same roof, moving from one to the other, promising marriage to one of them, and then eternal love to the other... oh, wait, he's already doing that.
