Earlier today, I posted a message on the first Telemundo y Más page. I think it makes sense to post it again, since the second page went up not long after I posted the message. Here's more or less what it said:

Just a quick note that I have created a "label" for discussions about La Reina del Sur 3, since there has been information on this page about it and there may be more in the coming weeks. The label is reina3. That seemed simpler than reina-sur3, which would have followed the pattern of seasons 1 and 2. It's also what novelera, dondi356, and I (following their lead) have used. So if you want to discuss LRDS3, please put the label reina3 at the top of your post (as I've done here).

Thank you Juanita for reposting the "label" for LRDS3. I am looking forward to watching on October 18th. I took a look at the trailer and hopefully it is as exciting as the first two.

They've definitely had Derin go to the bad side. The actor is doing a good job, but I'm SO tired of her.

Yep, Gonul was planning to keep quiet about Derin having set up her initial fake kidnapping/murder. She was leaning on her brother to keep it quiet. As of the end of the episode, we don't know for sure if Melih is going to go through with turning his niece in for what she did. I suspect not.

I thought Melih showed himself to be a mensch and worthy of Bahar by coming to apologize to Asya.

So Derin miscarried her baby and is blackmailing Derya to keep quiet about it.

Gonul got a peek at the full crazy when Derin told her that Volkan staying with her for the length of her "high risk" pregnancy would mean he'd fall back in love with her. I wonder if she emailed Cahide to ask for the web site of the rubber belly store?

They did an Amor Valiente type of flashback to fill us in on how Asya got that recording that Melih was able to hear. Selçuk maintains enough thug attitude to scare Derem into confessing Derin's plot.

Derya seemed to think Asya is coming back to her old job and may be more willing to help Derin to keep her reputation intact.

Good for Asya for refusing to come back to that clinic. These jerks who run the place are completely spineless.

Good comments Novelera,

Gonul has a very very bad day.
Jeez, her husband who has one foot in the grave tests positive as Selcuk's Pa. Her psycho daughter is yes a psycho.

Poor Gonul, I get that this has been a strain, but having one of spa slaves come in and refresh that hair and a facial would probably give her a more positive outlook. Hey I know I sound shallow, but these are incredibly shallow people.

Now then why why why does Asya let Volken in the door; he could meet Ali in the garden. Maybe it is revenge best served cold. Volken is in begging mode. He is a freak too. Move on. Volken will have no job and he too is a stalker and there will always be some young hottie.

I am not watching this show, but I am enjoying the conversations . I cannot stand to look at pathetic Volcan . Boohoo , you miserable skirt chaser . You cheated on your wife , but now you have decided you want back what you threw away . With this guy , it would only be a matter of time before some young thing caught his eye . Oxygen waster .

I found last night's episode to be very interesting.

We are beginning to get more background on Asya. A woman who appears to be her step-mother, or maybe just a lover of her father, shows up at her door and wants to speak with her. Asya shuts the door in her face. But later a note is delivered, which Asya threw out. Then, after a conversation with Volkan, she decides to contact the woman. A meeting is set up, which we do not see.

The ghastly Cavidan actually did Asya a service. She owned some sort of space that, IIRC, she wanted her son to use. But he hadn't returned to his hometown. It's perfect for the private practice that Asya is starting.

Derin, pfft. She keeps trying to get her marriage back on track to no avail. She is completely BSC if she expects Volkan to forgive her after she framed him for murder.

The scene with Volkan and Asya was SO good that I watched it twice. The Volkan actor is good. He's been completely despicable for 90% of the show so far. Last night he bared his soul to Asya, explaining that her reserve, her inability to laugh out loud, and clear earlier damage made it hard for him to live with her. There was always a sort of "space" around her. Excellent, excellent scene.

Not sure if Derya planned it, but she managed to escape pretending Derin was still pregnant. She had just put the gooey stuff on Derin's belly when someone called her out for an emergency. Derya did confess to Asya about Derin blackmailing her to lie about her still being pregnant. I was kind of expecting something like in Amor Valiente where a crooked doctor somehow showed one of those images of a fetus and a beating heart that was someone else's sonogram.

Novelera, I completely agree with you about the scene with Volkan and Asya. Finally, we get his view of their marriage. I wasn't surprised, as I wondered how much fun it could have been living with dour Asya. None. She needed therapy, anti-depressants, something, years ago. She seems chronically depressed.
Still, that's no excuse for Volkan's infidelity. He was too scared to talk to Asya, and too flattered by a younger woman's interest in him. Fool.
He does seem like a good father, though, genuinely concerned and loving with his kids. That counts for a lot.
Derin is quite the terror. She's the worst one! Even her mom has sense to tell her to forget about Volkan and stop blaming Asya.
