I will be at book club this evening. Any takers for just a quickie?

Reina #22

Juanfa is not threatened by Faustino he is actually the one who shoots Mudo. Runs, and waits for Faustino's bullets to run out. But before he cocks the gun, Faustino takes another one on his back and kills him, then says, "My gun sure had no bullets, but Mudo's did!"
Faustino calls Sophia saying that he recovered the money. And to all get ready they're leaving, but oops, the army has all the towns exits closed. And are checking door to door. We see Charlie asking around of course.

Vanessa is looking through Epifanio's files, Montaño finds her. But doesn't say anything.
We later see him when Epifanio leaves him listening on Beba and Antonio's conversation. She's able to ask for Nacho though, and Antonio also whispers to her that the military guy and him are working with the DEA. Oh, and the price Beba had to pay to be able to see her father was to record a video saying she's fine. We later see Antonio and the General viewing photos of Nacho leaving the country, and they conclude that Epifanio threatened him.

Landero is telling Teresa about his father. He was in the military, was accused of selling info to the gringos. Then got caught. He's sure he's innocent though. Landero was in the military, but on secret missions.

The team plans for the next day. Oleg is still pissed.
It's the next day, Anton is left in the car. The other four, Pablo, Teresa, Oleg and Jonathan all take positions. Teresa and Oleg have a conversation about the previous night, in conclusion, La Mexicana tells him that if she's wrong again, there's always tequila and her dear friend Oleg.

On to the important point of the night, 2 trucks arrive. One with guards, who take positions as they wait for the client. The other with the client (an old man) and his guards. Then a car, that people get out of. One skinny guy looks like the important one. Who the team conclude is El Ginete Negro. The client and the said GN are exchanging papers and money. The old man wants to look through the papers before paying. He also wants the recordings. Teresa & co come out of hiding, ready to get their guy. Shooting and running ensue. Most of the guards were shot, said GN Runs to his car and drives off. Teresa jumps onto one of the trucks, with her guys. They grab the papers that were dropped. And start chasing....

Oh, btw, Whoever talked about Sheila having a Batmancito might be right!

Please add what I might have left out.

I have doubts that the guy is actually El Ginete Negro.

reina3

Thanks, mwendwaE. You cleared up what was going on at the train graveyard for me. I agree the old guy is likely not El Ginete Negro. He seemed like an emissary.

At first when the tall guy discovered Teresa and Pablo, he gave them a shh! quiet sign, before all the shooting began and hae got killed. I wondered if he was a double agent or something. But I guess shh! was just a stall tactic.

Looking forward to seeing what's in those papers they retrieved. I'm still not getting why Epi needed Teresa for this mission.

Abel, Karen, and henchman (I forget which one) were discussing the bug. Karen suggested Abel call Yatiri (first time I heard this name mentioned, maybe Abel's boss?), but I'm guessing she's trying to screw Abel up (good for her!).

reina3

Welcome to the discussion, mwendwaE, and thanks VERY much for this concise recap that covers all the important things.

So Epifanio tells Bebita that unless she makes the video reassuring the public that she's in good health and spirits, he won't let her see her father. She reluctantly but obviously agrees, and I was impressed at how well she put on her happy face in the video and the second it was over, she all but burst into tears.

Epifanio is such an ass. When Alcalá finally gets to talk with Bebita, Montaño remains. Alcalá protests that Epifanio said he could talk to her alone, and Epifanio replies that Montaño is there for security reasons, "We need to protect the First Lady"! As you note, she's able to ask about Nacho, and Alcalá is able to whisper to her, but Epifanio abruptly ends their meeting soon after this.

I was happy to see Fedor demonstrate his amazing ability with cards to Batman. It reinforces my sense that that ability may prove useful to Oleg and the others later on.

At one point in last night's episode, Pablo reminds Teresa that she still has the tracker implanted in her. He says it in a taunting "ha ha, I can always find you" context, but that ability may indeed turn out to be vital at some point.

Pablo's conversation with Teresa about his father also revealed Pablo's resentment over the Mexican government's failure to help his father when the regime in Nicaragua accused him of selling info to the gringos. Even though his father was representing the Mexican government, that government simply "erased" him, claiming he died in a car accident. They washed their hands of the whole situation. [Question: was Epifanio already President of Mexico when this happened?]

I found the scene at the train graveyard somewhat confusing. Like you, I'm not convinced that the thin man is El Jinete Negro, but I suppose it's possible. I guess we'll see, perhaps even tonight.

Again, thanks VERY much, mwendwaE, for this recap! I hope you'll continue to participate. You clearly have lots of good things to say.

reina3

Thank you mwendwaE for this great recap. I am pressed for time and have a couple of thoughts:

Oleg looked very handsome in that hat! I loved how Tesa smoothed over her boring looking romp with Pablo by telling Oleg she knows she always chooses the wrong me but that is why there is tequila and her best friend Oleg. That kiss she planted on him sealed the deal that he is still her number one guy.

The tall skinny guy at the train graveyard is the same guy named Perro that Karin gave that package to in an earlier episode. I think it is bribe stuff with the girls and now they are charging the "client” to pay for the proof. The client did ask if the video info was also in the package. I don’t think JN was at this meeting.

Karin wants to bring in Yatiri (Thanks Niecie in MD) to help Abel. Yatiri sounds like he is a shaman of some sort who can help Abel with his bad luck streak. I think this guy is more likely going to help Karin find the gold Abel is hiding. Remember she told Rojos she had an idea how to get the info of the gold out of Abel as she looked at the makeshift altar.

I am concerned for Shelia. Altitude sickness does cause headaches and nosebleeds. I hope it is just that and not a brain tumor or something and as simple as her going to have a Batmancito.

Thanks again mwendwaE. I enjoyed your recap very much!

reina3

Thanks so much mwendwaE !!!

clearly no one in this show has taken the Pablo Escobar "rings of security for Dummies" course.

I thought the thin guy's dark chiselled face (if he had a long nose) looked like a horse, but our guys were comparing it to the original wall painting shown earlier which I didn't get good look at.

I don't know how Faustino ever made it as a narco and now he needs the advice of his new gang, I'm hoping they make it out of Colombia and leave it all for king Charlie.

hmm, Tesa's gang, who usually travels with no weapons, show up at the train graveyard with automatic rifles as well as everyone else, hats were optional.

and yes, incredible acting by Bebita.

reina3

Welcome to the patio, mwendwaE! Thanks for stepping up with fine recap. Great comments here as well.

I’m worried about Sheila, too. I’ve never seen a nosebleed as a novela pregnancy indicator.

Tesa might have smoothed it over with Oleg but she didn’t smooth anything over with me. Pablo’s story did nothing to change my mind about him. Oleg looked devastated but there’s nothing he can do. Oleg seems permanently relegated to the friend zone. But maybe that’s for the best. I don’t want their relationship to end badly. Not enough tequila for that.

Add me to the list of those who think we have not seen the Jinete yet.

Telemundo

I just read that the Turkish dizi, Amor y Traición (Kaderimin Oyunu – Game of My Destiny), is starting after Destino on November 28 at 10p. This was Akın Akınözü’s next dizi after Hercai. I watched 5 episodes and couldn’t continue because he reminded me too much of whiney Me-ran. At least his bangs were gone. Also, the great actress who played Mukaddes in Fatmagül is in the cast.

It’s a relatively short dizi—only 26 Turkish episodes. I don’t want to discourage anyone from trying it, maybe you will like it now that we have some distance from Me-ran.

BTW, I’m giving Akın another chance. He’s in a current dizi, Tuzak. No bangs and he’s not whiney in this one. It has other actors that I like so I’ll give it a few more eps. This is Akın’s last chance with me.

reina3

Thanks a million for the excellent recap, mwendwaE! I am also pressed for time as I'm working from home trying to get some client billings out for the construction company I've worked for practically forever (33 years!)

One thing that struck me as odd was the constant showing of Pablo's father with a newspaper in front of him. This is normally a hostage meme. But verbally Pablo said that the Nicaraguans are refusing to release him and Epi's deal with Pablo was to get Teresa out, find the Jinete Negro, and Epi would get his father released. Why are the guards letting his father be photographed with a current newspaper?

VVS, thanks for pointing out that the thin guy is El Perro. That whole train cemetery scene was terribly confusing to me. Everyone else seems to think the JN is not there. That's probably true because it's too soon for them to grab him up and get the magical DEA evidence he has that Epi will use to get re-elected.

Telemundo

Thank you dondi356 for the update/warning on the dizi that will replace Fuego del Destino. I think many of us might still be suffering from Me-ran PTSD. Even bangles (too funny) I am not sure I can stomach this actors acting. I am impressed that you are still giving him a shot in the dizi you are currently watching.

Reina3 #23 Part 1

The chase on the salt flats continues. A shootout begins. Anton is hit [don’t worry, it’s not bad] and their truck (gray) is out of the chase.

The Yatiri (a healer among the Aymara of Bolivia, Chile and Peru) performs a cleansing ritual on Abel. After he is finished, Karen walks him out and she asks him, “did you tell him (Abel) what I told you to?”. Yes he did, and she slips the yatiri a bunch of cash.

Back to the salt flats chase. Eventually ammo runs out. Pablo tells Teresa to catch up and pull up alongside Perro’s pickup. Pablo jumps into the bed of Perro’s truck and starts to struggle with the henchie. Pablo’s phone falls out and slides to the side of the bed. And a few seconds later, Pablo falls out of the pickup truck.

Teresa stops and runs to Pablo. He’s banged up but tells Teresa only his pride is hurt. The others catch up with Teresa and Pablo. It looks like the alleged Jinete got away. But all is not lost. Pablo says he dropped his phone in the truck and they can track him that way. Everyone piles in the gray truck to continue.

Vanessa enters Delio’s office on her quest for information that will keep her and her family safe from Ernie. She starts by asking Delio, what did you do to my friend? She can’t stop talking about you. She’s desperate to get your number. A delighted Delio responds, really? [and I also ask… really?] Vane says her friend has the same problem as her—we both like powerful men. Delio has no modesty when he says the friend has found the right guy.

Vane continues to butter up Delio. She thinks he’s more powerful than Epi. Shhh… don’t let Epi hear. She bets that there’s nothing that Epi handles that hasn’t already been through Delio’s hands. She wants to know more. And she wants to show Delio more as well. She comes around the desk and bends towards him, so he gets a good view of her cleavage popping from a blouse that’s missing quite a few buttons. What’s the biggest thing you’ve had to handle, she asks, surprise me.

Delio gets nervous and starts to stutter. He’s saved by a call from Epi who says he’s coming to talk. Vane takes this opportunity to stash the recorder that Danilo gave her in a nearby plant. Delio excuses himself, he has to take this meeting. And give your friend my number, he tells Vane.

Faustino and crew are hiding the money in the convent pantry. Faustino thinks they will have to flee Colombia. Sofia thinks it might be best to go to Teresa if they knew where she was. Faustino wants to go to the Peruvian border because he’s got a friend there. [hopefully not a friend like Juanfa.]

Padre G says he can drive them there. Sofia tells him he can’t return to Santa Marta, the DEA have probably opened a file on him already. Anyway, after all that’s gone down, the Padre feels obligated to help. He really wants to help. Faustino appreciates that.
Sister M runs in. The cops are here! Our group needs to hide right now in the pantry. Sister tells little Ray that this will be just like the hide and seek game and he is to stay quiet. Sister M locks them in. Padre G starts to pray.

Delio and Epi meet. There are five representatives who were contacted about voting against election reform. We’ve bugged all five, Delio says, and in the transcriptions of the recordings, there’s always someone pressuring them—an advisor to Sen. Jane Kozar. Epi curses her. She’s crossing the line, he adds, but she doesn't know who she’s messing with.

Do you think they will give into the pressure, Epi asks? Delio isn’t sure, the gringos are good at their job. Delio mentions that one rep has a son up on a DUI charge in the US. He said yes. We have to do something fast, Epi says, we can’t let the senator and the DEA ruin our plans.

reina3 #23 Part 2

Delio suggests that Epi send a rocket up the Bolivian team’s ass. He asks what’s going on there. Teresa says she’s hot on the trail of the Jinete, Epi replies, but I’ll believe it when I see it. Epi wants facts! He wants proof!

Karen gets a frantic call from Perro. Everything went very bad. We were attacked, it happened so fast, he tells her. Karen asks who attacked. Perro doesn’t know and they couldn’t finalize the deal. Six men were killed. Guess who they were trying to catch, he says, the Jinete Negro! I heard the woman screaming, “catch the Jinete Negro!”

La DEA, Karen says. Perro doesn’t know about that, but he knows they aren’t from around here. Karen asks for a description. Perro describes Oleg and mentions the woman. It can’t be them again, Karen mutters. Perro says he’s on his way to the factory and they need to meet asap! Karen says she will figure something out.

Karen sits with Abel and asks, what did the yatiri say? A troubled Abel responds, they want my gold. How the hell did they find out about the gold? Why are you worried, Karen asks, you’re the only one who knows where it’s hidden. Unless… the yatiri told you the foreigners know where to find it. Abel answers, he said the have their country’s backing. What are you going to do, Karen asks?

Abel gets up and walks away. He makes a call. Karen follows him and listens in. Abel says, find 3 men we don’t know, no one with a family. We will have to get rid of them afterwards. They need to be strong to do some heavy lifting. The same place as always. It’s urgent. Two… three days max. We need to move.

Vane returns to Delio’s office after he leaves. She retrieves the recorder and leaves the room. Just when they make us think she’s in the clear, Montaño appears in the hallway and watches Vane walk away. He makes a call to Epi.

Epi tells Delio that Vane just left his office. He asks if there’s anything she shouldn’t see. Delio says the important docs are locked up as ordered. Since when are you suspicious, he asks Epi. Since the party, Epi replies, she was acting weird. Delio wonders if it’s better to confront her. Epi wants to wait and see what she’s up to first.

Sofia tells Mateo her mother made her hide in a wardrobe when she was living in Italy, in case something like this ever happened. Mateo shares he used to hide in storm drains when he was little, so the cops wouldn’t catch him. They smile at each other. I really miss you, he tells her. I’ve never experienced so many things with anybody, she replies, some good, some very good. But others bad, very bad. I hope you’ll only remember the good ones, he says. I want that more than anything, Sofia answers. They clasp hands.

Paloma fills in Padre G. She covers Ray’s ears and says, Charlie is a bloodthirsty killer. He killed Ray’s teacher, her college classmate and the woman who worked at her house. Padre says that Palermo sounded like a nice guy in the beginning and he believed him. Faustino interjects, there’s nothing nice about him. He’s the POS that caught Teresa in Australia. Padre asks if it is true that Sofia’s mom killed DEA agents. Faustino says it’s not true. That’s just what those guys will do to you. They confuse you, he tells the Padre, don’t feel bad about it.

The cops arrive at the convent. Charlie shows Sister M Faustino’s “Se Busca” flyer. Have you seen him? She’s never seen him before. He wants to come in and search and Sister welcomes them in. But all you will find are nuns and rosary beads. Charlie smirks, we’ll see. Charlie’s horde invades the convent.

reina3 #23 Part 3

Teresa’s crew stops. Anton needs care for his wound. They have to split up. Cell phones are running out of battery. Pablo thinks he’s got 30, maybe 45 minutes left. Teresa and Pablo will take the truck to track Perro and unfortunately, Oleg, Jonathan and Anton will have to walk back to their place.

Oleg thinks it’s too dangerous to go alone. [he probably worries about Teresa but doesn’t give a damn about Pablo.] Teresa says they won’t confront, only see were he goes and then they can decide on next steps when they’re all together again. Teresa and Pablo drive off and Oleg calls Sheila to ask her to buy a few things they will need for Anton.

The cops search the convent. Charlie asks if the nuns go out at night. Sister tells him they do whatever it takes to perform their calling. An officer asks about the truck in the back. Sister says one of the other nuns asked permission for a relative to park their truck there while he’s away. She tells them to inspect the truck. Charlie continues to look around.

Vane is secluded somewhere, in some sort of storage area. She listens to the recording and calls Ernie. She tells him Teresa is in Bolivia and close to finding the Jinete. Ernie lets her off the hook, her services won’t be needed anymore. He’s left money at her house. But it is too late for Vane. Montaño has found her.

The convent search continues. The officer reports there’s nothing in the truck. Sister M says she will walk them to the door. Maybe they will have better luck at another house. Charlie spreads the word to grab the gear and go, but something gets his attention. Faustino has been watching through a grate. Faustino quickly moves away and Charlie moves closer and peers through the grate. He asks about it. That’s the pantry where we store donated food, Sister replies. Charlie wants to inspect it. Sister tries to discourage it saying it’s a mess in there. She’s even seen mice.

Faustino and co are saved by Ernie’s call to Charlie. Ernie fills him in on Teresa’s location and orders him to take the first flight to La Paz. He will meet him there. Reluctantly, Charlie obeys.

Teresa and Pablo are running out of time to catch up with the Jinete.

Sister Lucero informs the group that the cops are still hanging around. Sister M explains that Charlie received a phone call and suddenly stormed out. Unfortunately, the convo was in English and the sisters did not understand what was said.

Charlie is pissed about the change of plans. He leaves Interpol agent Ruiz in charge of the Colombia operation and makes preparations to leave for Bolivia.

Montaño leads Vane to another secluded place, and orders her to sit. She tries to leave, but he starts to manhandle her. Sit down and shut up, he tells her. Epi appears and warns Vane to listen to the misogynist (Montaño) or he will beat her up.

reina3 #23 part 4

Vane starts to cry her innocence to Epi. Relax, he tells her, no one’s accusing you yet. Montaño hands over the recorder.

The phone battery runs out on Teresa and Pablo. They are about 200 meters away from their prey and Teresa knows that Perro had just turned left. They head in that direction.

Oleg’s group has made it back. Sheila brings the supplies they needed and some cream for her, because the Bolivian sun is no joke.

Sheila heads to the bathroom and we see that the cream is really a “prueba de embarazo”. She has two tests, just to be sure. She says a little prayer and waits for the results. According to the tests, a Batmancito is on the way! Not what Sheila had hoped.

Epi listens to the recording. Vane says she can explain. But before that, Epi asks for her cell phone. She hesitates and he barks and slams the table. Give me your *bleeping* phone! She has no choice and Montaño checks it.

Vane explains that Danilo gave her the recorder to transcribe an interview. She passed by Delio’s office, and stopped in to say hello. I don’t know how, she sniffles, but I forgot the recorder. And did you forget it was recording, Epi asks, are you telling me you’re an idiot? He warns her not to lie. He will tear her apart.

Montaño reports there are several calls from an unknown number and from Epi, and… from Señor Alcala. Well, well, Epi asks, since when do you know each other? Since when have you been meeting? Vane says they hardly speak but he wanted her help. Epi blows up, how long have you been seeing that *bleep*?! Three months, Vane replies. Epi asks if Beba knows about this. No, she doesn’t.

Epi asks about the private number. Epi slams the table and wants the answer. He threatens her again. Vane admits it’s DEA agent Ernie Palermo. Epi asks if Alcala is conspiring with the DEA. Vane nods yes. She starts sobbing and pleading. I swear I didn’t want to do it. He said he’d kill my family and friends if I didn’t cooperate and give him info on Teresa Mendoza. Please believe me.

What did you tell him, Epi asks? Vane says she told him about Teresa. Epi tells her not to worry, but she will have to do a little favor for him.

And we are out.

reina3

Muchísimas gracias, dondi356, for another splendid recap. You've covered everything perfectly.

I wonder what it was that Karen told the Yatiri to say to Abel. My guess is that it was that "they" want Abel's gold. He wonders how they found out about the gold. Or perhaps the Yatiri said that the foreigners know where the gold is? All that Abel reports is that he said they have their country's backing.

I held my breath throughout the time Charlie and company were searching Sister's place. I found myself wondering, though, why the packages of money were wrapped in such a way that you could see what they contained. That seemed especially dumb.

I also wondered about the wisdom of Sister saying that she had never seen Faustino. He is, after all, her cousin, and it's a small town. I half expected that Charlie might know about their relationship, but apparently he doesn't. At least, not yet.

We again see evidence of what a nice guy Abel is [NOT!] when he asks for three guys that they don't know, since they'll be "gotten rid of" after they finish the job Abel has for them.

I'm not optimistic about Vanessa's survival after she does what ever job Epi has in mind for her.

I thought at first that Sheila was going to be happy about a Batmancito, but apparently she's not. I wonder how that's going to play out. I don't think abortion is in the cards, though I suppose she could miscarry. But somehow both she and Batman seem to me as if they would welcome a child. Yikes, have I become overly sentimental?

Again, many thanks, dondi356!

reina3

Splendid recap dondi356! Thank you! Vanessa was sure using her “assets” to “butter up” (maybe boober up?) Delio. Dirty old man totally fell for it.

Thanks for the great translation of the conversation between Epi and Delio. I did not understand most of it.

Sister M continues to impress. She is a cool cucumber. Charlie is thwarted once again!

Karen definitely planted the “backed by the devil” in Abel using the Yatiri (thank you for the explanation of the healers role). My captions said devil, but your recap said “backed by their county.” I suppose both work.

Vane is in big trouble, but at least Epi knows about Ernie now.

Sheila still concerns me. I thought she would be happy about a baby batman.

JN is still a mystery.

I appreciate the recap!

reina3

Thanks SO very much, dondi. I realize the limits of my Spanish when I read your complete recaps. I definitely missed some things.

I was very sorry for Karen at the beginning, but not so much now. Abel is a monster, and seeing his gold stolen would be a good thing. But I've started to not really want Karen and Rojas to have it. And I wouldn't put it past Rojas to be playing her to get the gold and cut her out of it. I guess women who are willing to put up with an awful man to line their own pockets get on my last nerve.

I was very sorry for Vanesa. Although I do hope that whatever Epi wants her to do puts a spoke in Ernie's wheels. Sometimes I can't decide who I loathe more: Ernie, Abel, or Charlie. It's neck and neck. I must say I'm getting tired of Ernie and Charlie showing up wherever Teresa is and pursuing her. I just would like a whole week to go by without even a glimpse of them. What interests me that, with a couple of incidents as the exception, I find it hard to hate Epi as much as I do the three I just mentioned. Zurita has charm to spare!

It looks like Padre Gonzo has become fully on board with Faustino's crew. He doesn't seem to be giving him the evil eye quite so often. I was surprised to see Sofia being so quick to forgive Mateo. Well...maybe not completely forgive, but willing to hold hands with him.

That whole chase through the sand flats didn't do a thing for me. I guess I just like conversations and plot developments more than people shooting at each other. That Perro is one of the ugliest actors I've seen; doubt he gets any roles as a leading man.

I think Sheila is disturbed about being pregnant because of her loyalty to Teresa. She wants to be a full participant in the "find JN" detective work and to help Teresa complete her mission. ITA about never having heard about a bloody nose as a pregnancy symptom, but I do remember, not fondly, morning sickness.

Reina3

Thank you for the excellent recap Dondi.

Charlie looked like a bloodhound as he waited for his people to finish searching the convent. The guy sure knows how to make the viewers hate him even when he isn't shooting up people.
Is Faustino planning to take all that money when they leave? That weight and a child(Ray) for people who are running seems like a lot work to me.

Pobre de Vanessa. At least she didn't throw Beba under the bus.

Sheila isn't happy with the pregnancy, but I'm sure Batman would be thrilled to be a father again. El Ratas killed off his kids on Ssn 1 of LRDS

I'm beginning to doubt that El GN could be a new character who has not been introduced so far.
Has anyone else thought that Karen could be El Ginete?
I saw on Enemigo Intimo, Roxana Rodiles, played by Fernanda Castillo turned out to be El Profesor.

reina3

mwendwaE, it did cross my mind that Karen might be JN (or El GN) as you put it. She is suspicious of the DEA, but I really don't have much to contribute to your crockpot theory.

novelera, I also get a kick out of Epi and the stuff he says. It is hard to completely dislike him. El Perro is definitely not attractive and is the running for most Feo along with the lapdog of Rosario in Pasion de Gavilanes

Reina3

Thanks, everyone for your kind words and great comments.

Juanita, I thought about Charlie asking everyone in town if they know or have seen Faustino. I’m sure many know him, but none would say anything even if they’ve seen him. From what Sister M has said, Faustino has done some good for the neighborhood. I would think these people follow the law of omertà—you don ’t cooperate with the authorities. And I’m also sure that the authorities are aware of that.

VVS, “(maybe boober up?)” –lol. Thanks for letting me know what your captions said. Being backed by the “devil” makes a lot of sense. When I recap, I try to look at both the English and Spanish caps, just like I look at both English and Turkish with dizi. A lot of times, the translations don’t match up and I’ll make that note. I missed this one. The dialog in Reina is so rapid fire and full of slang that’s delivered in various accents, it’s difficult to follow. Lol, I love when Faustino calls someone “gonorrea”.

novelera, I had Charlie and Abel contending for most loathsome, with Ernie trailing. But his treatment of Vane raised his loathsome factor for me. “I find it hard to hate Epi as much as I do the three I just mentioned. Zurita has charm to spare!” ITA, with you!

I had to look up nosebleeds in pregnancy. It’s not uncommon, but I’ve never seen that used as an indication of pregnancy in a novela. We always get the nausea, vomiting and fainting. I’m sure Batman will be thrilled at the news of a Batmancito. Maybe Sheila never wanted children? Besides, a pregnancy at this time could be problematic. Pregnancy risks are higher for women of certain ages and I’m assuming Sheila is in that category.

You raise some good points, mwendwaE. How is Faustino planning on taking all that money? I did not think of Karen as the Horseman. Anything is possible.

reina3

Super job, Dondi. I'm late to the party, but your recap has me primed and ready for tonight's epi. Thanks for the details and I love your commentary, especially "She’s desperate to get your number. A delighted Delio responds, really? [and I also ask… really?]" - lol.

I hope Vanessa somehow manages to somehow get out of this alive. Alcala seems to consider her more than just an employee and surely Ernie can see she could come in handy in the future.

I'm guessing Sheila has spent her entire adult like trying to not get pregnant, but when she sees Batman's (I assume) joy she'll freak less about having a kid on the way.
