CAMINO Ep 43 Part 1

Fausto tells Karen that he’d rather be dead than be her pet, that is what she has Aaron for! Karen retorts that everything has its limits. She continues that if he thinks she will wait for him all his life, he is wrong! Aaron is offering what he never has; Aaron wants to marry her. After Fausto recalls Aaron saying that once Karen agrees to marry him, he will kill Memo, Fausto smirks and tells Karen to go ahead and marry him…it could be her last chance since beauty doesn’t last forever and she is no spring chicken! He adds that she should not wait for him…because even if he did divorce Dani and was dirt poor, he would NEVER marry a tarantula like her!

Isa cries that she doesn’t want her father to leave. Dani assures her that this was an adult decision and it has nothing to do with Isa. Isa promises to behave…and do everything he says; she pleads that Dani ask him not to leave. Dani hugs her and again assures her that this is not her fault. Their affection for her will never change, but the problems that have a serious. Isa cries that the same thing happened to her friend, Sofie whose father left the house and then they divorced. She doesn’t want them to separate. Isa continues crying as she begs Dani to promise not to separate from her father.

At the restaurant, Chema is also crying and pleads with Max not to leave. Mac assures him that he will come see him everyday…when he recovers, he will take him to school every day. Chema then cries that he wants to go with Mac (Yo would love that! NOT!). Max then gives Monoman a mission—to take care of his mother and sisters.

Back at Karen’s torture, Fausto tells her to waste any time accepting Aaron’s proposal. When he adds that Aaron may back out when he realizes that a woman like her is only good as a mistress, Karen SLAPS him so hard that his lip gets cut! But Fausto is not deterred; he calls her pathetic…he feels sorry for her. He takes his leave after Karen tells him that she deserves someone better than him…and so does Dani. Karen then vows to destroy him…and he will wish he is dead!

Mac tells Cesar that he will now live with him…because he doesn’t dare leave that place in case his wife asks for a divorce. Now that they are dealing together, Mac wants to keep an eye on Cesar because he doesn’t trust him. Cesar has a gun! And would really like to shoot Mac! (viewerville shouts DO IT!)

Chema and Isa Facetime and cry together…they don’t want their parents to separate. Chema tells her of the mission his father gave him...and reminds Princess Star that superheroes don’t cry…well only a little.

Fausto gives Aaron a ring to give to Karen; he already gave Karen the push to accept Fausto. Fausto points out that he has fulfilled his part, and the situation with the trailero can’t wait any more…he wants him dead NOW!! He isn’t sure but he thinks that trailero is sleeping with his wife! Aaron opens a small gun case and tells Fausto that if he is in such a rush, he can go ahead and kill him himself.

Karen is now with Dani and tells her that Fausto asked if Dani and Memo we’re having and affair, but assures that she said k nothing to him. Dani can’t believe how disastrous things have gotten. Karen warns that Fausto is smart and he will find a way to find out about her feelings for Memo. Dani hopes not. And is shocked when Karen advises her to tell Fausto how she feels about Memo.

 

CAMINO Ep 43 Part 2

Aaron has no doubt that Fausto could kill, but warns about how difficult the first kill is as Fausto points the gun at him…but the gun has no bullets. Aaron loads the gun and hands it back to Fausto daring him to shoot him…asking is Fausto has the guts to do it.

Karen retracts her advice and asks Dani not to tell Fausto she was there. Dani then shares how badly things went when she talked to Isa, Karen offers to take Isa out.

Aaron taunts Fausto and reminds him that if he dies, all of Fausto’s secrets will be revealed…and Fausto will end up in prison for the rest of his life. After Fausto puts the gun down, Aaron gives him one last suggestion--to use a silencer.

Mac is with Cesar and wonders about an advance on their job. After Cesar gives him some money, Mac hopes that Cesar isn't cheating him...he thinks he chould get more since it is his niece's baby they are selling. Mac then wonders if they should do something else to make money since it'll be months before the baby is born. Cesar is already looking at another job.

The tarantula has taken Isa out for a dessert and weaves another web as she gets Isa to talk about her mother and Memo. Karen then asks Isa if she wouldn’t like to meet her real father. When Isa tells her that she knows nothing about him, Karen replies that her parents could look for him…but Isa shouldn’t tell anyone that she gave her the idea. They pinkie promise on it!

Leo and Memo talk about telling Isa that Memo is her father. Leo suggests that Memo get some advice from their father's lawyer friend, but Memo wants to do things right and doesn't want to hurt Isa.

JaunPa goes to visit Dani who tells him that he can return because she has asked Fausto to leave…she is seriously thinking about divorcing him. Catch that smile on JuanPa!! He thinks it's the best thing she could do!

Fausto plays with the gun as he recalls Aaron's advice. Later, he drives up to the house and places the gun in the glove compartment.

Leo tells Memo that he and Chuchita have made up. Memo is glad and when he comments that they are now tell each other everything, Leo shares that when he was a little boy, the boys at school would make fun of him because he and Memo looked so different...but their father gave him some advice and things settled. Memo thinks that their family is very united and help each other out. Leo then asks if Memo has chosen the godparents for the baby, so Memo tells him that the godparents will be Leo and Amparo.

Fausto enters hurling insults. JuanPa wishes he could have left 5 minutes earlier. After JuanPa leaves, Dani tells Fausto that they have a conversation pending, but Fausto walks away...so Dani follows him up to their room. As they leave, Karen arrives with Isa and tells Isa to think much about what they talked about. Chuchita tries to get Isa to tell her what she should think about but Isa can't tell.

Upstairs, Fausto berates Dani for telling JuanPa that he might leave. As they argue, Isa enters asking if they are fighting. Dani assures her that they are only talking. After Fausto assures her that he loves her, Isa hopes that he won't leave the house. Fausto assures her he won't leave...and will give her whatever she wants. Isa surprises him when she asks that they look for her other father. Fausto tells her they will support her...and agrees that they will do what they can. When Isa leaves, Fausto questions if Dani put the idea in Isa's head..to pressure him.

Amparo catches Mac trying to take a TV. Mac whines that he is bored where he is staying. He then admits that he is staying with Cesar at Ursula's house. When Amparo complains, Mac assures her that she will not see him.

 

CAMINO Ep 43 Part 3

Dani can't believe Fausto thinks that she would put ideas in Isa's head...and that she would use any means to get what she wants. Fausto retorts that nothing she does would surprise him anymore. They continue arguing until Fausto gets tired of fighting and goes for a run.

At a restaurant, Karen arrives late and wonders if Aaron has been waiting long. No of course not, Aaron is willing to wait for her for the rest of his life. Aaron lavishes her with compliments of her beauty but Karen, the tarantula, has now become an iceberg. Aaron then takes out the ring and proposes! Karen isn’t deliriously happy; she looks like she wants to dig a hole and hide.

Mac is with Yo and has a gift for her—money so she can buy whatever she wants. They talk about Max not being able to leave his Brujer yet. Yo then mentions how Grace has been so hurt that Max has not given her his last name. Max tells her that when he has the money from the property, he will marry her, give Grace his last name and buy a huge house so that the three is them can live together.

At the restaurant, Aaron knows he is probably rushing thing, but he has no doubt that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. The ice queen takes the ring and starts to put it back in its box as she tells Aaron that his words could win over any woman; and the moment was very romantic…but she is different. After she tells him to go sit down, she continues that she knows that her last name and social status would open many doors for him; he would stop being Fausto’s puppet and be the husband of the majority shareholder of the company. She suggests that they both remove their masks…and negotiate, but this has nothing to do with love, just common interests. Aaron smiles.

Hats off Leo recalls meeting Chuchita for the first time and thinks that “she is like a dream.” This triggers an idea for a song and he starts making up a song as he writes notes down.

Chuch tells Dani that she already made up with Leo and they will marry in a year…this will give Leo time to work on his career. Chu also wants to work on her own dram of being a designer…and she wants to open her open her own store. Dani then asks if Chu would like to study to be a designer. Of course! Dani assures her that she will provide her support so she can study, but warns that it will be a lot of work. Chu knows and doesn’t mind extra work.

Karen continues with her idea of negotiating and wonders what Aaron could have to offer. Aaron tried to woo her but Karen insists that he stop his corny compliments. She has already lost many years being Fausto’s mistress but she can still get whatever man she wants. When she asks why she should choose him, Aaron replies that he would do anything for her. Karen asks if he would be willing to go I’ve up secrets and his loyalty to Fausto, Aaron reiterates that he would give it up for his wife. Karen tells him it’s. It enough…she wants him to help her destroy Fausto so badly that Fausto will regret what he did to her for the rest of his life! Aaron smirks and admits that they have more in common that he thought—Fausto owes him years of hate. They shake hands and seal it with a kiss.

At Sebas's house, Gaby and JuanPa watch Sebas and Lupita kiss. Sebas points out that he is drinking only water now and comments that she motivates him to be good. Across the yard, JuanPa tells Gaby about Dani wanting to divorce Fausto...and he doesn't want Isa to suffer. Gaby doesn't want Isa to suffer either...she cares for Isa so much more now. she assures JuanPa that Memo wants the best for Isa. Eugenio then approaches so Sebas tells him that he and Lupita are now novios. Eugenio knows that Lupita is a very centered person and hopes that Sebas will learn from her. Sebas assures him that He already is.

At the restaurant, Memo walks outside and stands out in the open as he looks up at the stars. Lurking in the shadows and hiding behind a truck is Satan...as he points his gun at Memo!!

VENCER LA AUSENCIA #55

Notes from the couch . . . just the facts edition

-Rayo is arrested and detained. She will be held under custody of the juvenile authorities in the juvenile detention facilities.

-Rayo tells Julia and Ester that she was not part of the armed robbery but she had stolen things from the Funes household while she lived there.

-Mirna gets engaged to Sergio. He is going to be taking on a long business trip.

-Mirna refuses to withdraw her complaint against Rayo.

-Angel tells Mirna she is rushing things with Sergio. She doesn't care.

-Angel talks to his father and finds out that he was in love with Margarita. Homero had not seen Margarita in over 15 years and then she called him a while back. She said she had something important to tells him but it had to be in person. They agreed to meet up in Laredo at their old hotel so nobody would see them together in Mexico City. Homero was supposed to go pick up the loan money himself but he doesn't remember why he never went. He never heard from Margarita again.

-Angel talks to Julia and they decide to get a DNA test (Renata's test from "Vencer el Pasado") done. Angel supplies hair from his father and Julia from Rayo.

-The DNA results come back and Angel delivers the results to Rayo. They are brother and sister. She is overwhelmed with emotion to belong to a family, her father's. Angel has started on working to get custody of her and to change her name to Ordaz.

-Jero refuses to give Lenar another chance at love with him because he doesn't love her any more. He tells his sons that he will not be getting back with their mother.

-Jero finds out that Flavia has no intentions of paying his sons for woking on the food truck. She thinks it is good training for them to help out their father without being paid. Jero doesn't look happy.

-Jero is still giving Ester the cold shoulder.

-Max gives Teo advice about protection when having sex and give him money to take his girl out on a date. Teo hands over the money to Mati. She wants to take the money and run but stays long enough to build up his hopes of having sex with her sometime.

-Ester gets a text from Cinthia's father responding to her. She pretends to be a social worker that Cintia contacted. Cinthia's father calls his daughter useless and a lost clause. He asks about his grandson. The texting stops when Lenar comes into the office wanting to talk to Ester.

-Celeste and Braulio get into it about Rayo as usual. She things that if they have money for expensive jewelry, they should have money to pay for a private lawyer for Rayo. He refuses. She asks him where his money came from. He admits that he has worked outside of Funes Trucking. He insists that he did nothing illegal for that money. She wants all the details of all the outside business he has done.

-Ana Sofī tells Mirna that she now has to take care of all of the Ordax business.

-Erik gets annoyed with Gina that she won't use her social network presence to try to help Rayo. He tells her that she is going to end up like the typical frivolous and superficial influencer she always hated even worse that Ana Sofí.
 

VENCER

-Later in the episode, Gina hasn't heard from Erik for a while and goes to see him to see what is up. He says he has been busy with work and his exams. She finds some makeup ????? (If anybody could see better than me what that was, please let me know) on the couch and is clearly upset.

-Misael continues to poison Danny's mind towards his mother. Danny asks why his father has two phones. Misael tells him that one is for work and the other one is going to be a gift for Danny but he has to agree to keep it as a secret from his mother. Misael will have to convince his mother he should have it. Later, when talking to Julia, Misael asks about Rayo. Julia says it would be better not to talk about her in front of Danny. Danny pipes up he is good at keeping secrets. He has two secrets with his dad. Misael quickly tries to shut him up. Misael says the secret was that Danny had a snow cone. Julia doesn't like sweets. Danny lies and says that was their only secret.

-MIsael turns out to be Braulio's accomplice.

Rgv Chick, this was a fascinating episode which you captured masterfully. Your wit and wisdom were pervasive throughout and your words clarified, enhanced, and described the mind-numbing events perfectly.

“Hats off Leo”; “Karen, the tarantula, has now become an iceberg”; “The tarantula has taken Isa out for a dessert and weaves another web” and “Karen isn’t deliriously happy” had me smiling in delight and were marvelous, all.

How would Karen, Fausto and Aaron be psychologically classified?…Sociopath, narcissist, psychopath, heartless, obsessive are but a few terms that come to mind. The workings of their sick, twisted and depraved minds are beyond me. That said, among the worst of Karen and Fausto’s unforgiveable actions are using an innocent child to further their ends. “Isa cries that she doesn’t want her father to leave. Dani assures her that this was an adult decision and it has nothing to do with Isa. Isa promises to behave…and do everything he says; she pleads that Dani ask him not to leave” was heartbreaking. They and Macario are master manipulators of the most heinous kind.

“She suggests that they both remove their masks…and negotiate, but this has nothing to do with love, just common interests. Aaron smiles”. Aaron is smart enough to want marriage which will legally give him the keys to Karen’s kingdom but it seems she’s not the marrying kind. Well, at least to him. To be fair, these two are as evil as Fausto but I have to admit I’m looking forward to what cold dish of revenge they have in mind.

Will Fausto pill the trigger? Judging by the large, yellow stripe of cowardice down his back, my guess would be no. But as nothing is certain here and things change on a dime, we will have to wait and see.

Excellent as always Jarifa!

Had Margarita ever intended to tell Homero about Rayo, or had something changed her mind? It’s nice the women are all rallying around Rayo, but if they’d done so initially things wouldn’t have deteriorated to the point they are now. “She is overwhelmed with emotion to belong to a family, her father's” was exactly right. I choked up a bit during her scene with Angel.

“Teo hands over the money to Mati. She wants to take the money and run but stays long enough to build up his hopes of having sex with her sometime” made me shake my head. Silly boy...

Misael is insistent on hanging on to Julia who doesn’t want him (who is getting slimier each successive episode); Braulio did not look happy to see Misael at the end, did he? Lenar can’t seem to accept she burned the bridge to Jero behind her (poor Donato, wherever he is).

Mirna and Sergio. I only care who he is and what he wants. Eric and Gina. Sorry, after Fabiola, Gina, an influencer (which Eric doesn’t like to begin with) in her high tops just doesn’t seem a match. I was surprised she wouldn’t use her platform to support Rayo, Eric did have a point. It looked like Gina picked up a tube of something from the couch – lipstick? Perfume stick? I couldn’t make it out either.

Diana, I do not trust Sergio either. If he ends up being legit, I will be disappointed. Mirna is in need of an anvil. Angel is turning out to be a very emotional kind of guy which surprised me. He was crying as much as Rayo. How long until she meets Homero as her father? Good call on Gina maybe not really being a match for Erik.

Isa cries, Chema cries, and then Isa and Chema cry together!!! You’re killing me kids!!

I like Aaron’s bravado, I do can’t help it. When he was with Falso and he was like go ahead and shot. Oh wait, it’s not loaded; then he loads the gun and hands it back!!! Wouldn’t want to play mind games with that one!

I like Karen when she’s picking on Fausto when she is manipulating Isa, not so much…

I never like Fausto, ever, can you imagine being married to a jerk like him? It reminds me of a line from the movie ‘Mrs. Winterbourne’ where this woman killed her husband and one of the characters said they were going to hire a lawyer who specialized in: ‘Sure I did it, but can you blame me’ defenses.

Thanks, Rgv Chick, a great recap. It’s like rewatching the show!

Fausto continues to get worse. He was really cruel to Karen. It will be fun watching her get even with him! He also lit into JuanPa and Dani. What a charmer!

It does seem like Mac really loves Yolonda. But he only knew the land was valuable recently so why was he staying with Amparo. He was so good with Chema. But then barely acknowledges Grace. The other telenovela I saw him in he was also kind and bad.

Dani is pure goodness, now she’s offering to help Chuchita get her schooling. I think she’s going to have a tough time getting Fausto out of the house.

So Karen’s place in the company might be a little of Aaron’s attraction to her. I didn’t realize that. And I really thought Fausto might shoot him. I didn’t realize that Aaron had set up something so Fausto’s secrets will be revealed if he dies. Pretty smart of him because I’ve been thinking Fausto could hire another hit man and get rid of both of them.

Anxious for tonight to see if he pulls the trigger or not. Or pulls and misses.

I was so glad Rayo is now part of Angel’s family. I had tears, along with Rayo and Angel. Did he tell Homero Rayo was his daughter? That might make Homero give up on the suicide idea. I think Margarita was going to tell him the truth but then he never showed up. Mirna will not be happy about Rayo but a happy Mirna is more annoying than regular Mirna. I don’t understand what Sergio wants. He’s got to be after something. He’s too good to be true!

Poor Jero. He was actually surprised that Flavia wasn’t going to pay the boys. Has he been payed yet? After all that work he’s kind of stuck. I felt really bad for him.

I was surprised that Max is talking to Teo about protection and not the consequences. Fourteen is just too young to kind of go along with your child’s plans to have sex. He needs to meet Mati, then lock Teo up! Flavia would die if she knew what Teo was up to. I hope she finds out! I do feel sorry for Teo, who’s being used big time.

Misael just continues to get worse. I hate that he’s trying to turn Danny against his mother. I was totally surprised that Braulio was his partner. Although they are two of a kind. Braulio puts down Julia, and all the others, but he’d have to climb out of a deep hole to ever reach their level. Can’t wait to see his downfall.

Diana, "How would Karen, Fausto and Aaron be psychologically classified?" ALL OF THE ABOVE!! We don't know much about Fausto's and Aaron upbringing, but Karen was raised by Eugenio who is so compassionate and good-natured. What is her excuse??? I just don't get how a person can become so bitter and evil...unless they are psychologically challenged. And I too am looking forward to their revenge on Fausto.

Darcy, Aaron likes to play a dangerous game, doesn't he? But gotta give it to him, he has much more smarts that Fausto thinks. I have a feeling that one will kill the other, but who kills whom is a toss up.

Liz, we surely know that Memo won't die tonight. You list some viable options; another option is that someone might interfere--either someone will go out and talk to Memo or someone will spot Satan in the shadows. Tonight is must-see TV!!

I kind of wish Karen would team up with Aaron to finish off Fausto because I'm sick of him.Is she so miserable and horrible just because she can't have Fausto? Isn't that too good for a man likehim? What did these two women see in Fausto? He doesn't even come across as charming, just entitled and arrogant, and I can't imagine things were much different earler.
Macario selling his own newphew is too much. I can't figure him out- he loves the kids he had with Amparo but doesn't seem to care about Grace. Maybe his love for Lupe and the rest of the gang has its limits too.Yolanda must be really stupid if she believes all those tales he's spinning. Couldn't she have found someone better during all those years she spent with Mac?

Karen and Aaron are something to watch. I'd love for them to take down Fausto, but then I don't think Karen can rid herself of her obsession with Fausto. I do love that she didn't fall into Fausto's "insult her to high heaven" ploy.

When Mac was promising Yolanda to get the land and then he, she, and Grace would live in a big house together, I thought yep, Yolanda, I've got some swampland to sell you too. Mac will betray Yolanda just like he's betrayed Amparo and Ursula too (bringing Cesar there in the first place) because that's what he does.

We know Memo will be okay, so I hope Fausto shoots and the gun backfires on his a$$.

Angel had such a smile of delight announcing to Rayo that she's family. Even when Julia and Ester were at their best supporting Rayo, there never was this joy to have Rayo. Celeste had that joy but of course Braulio ruined things. Anyway, nice to see Rayo feel a welcome part of a family.

So Sergio is going to take Mirna on a long business trip? I can't even venture a guess what he's up to, but I'm sure it's no good. Can't wait for Mirna to find out she's got a little sis. Ordinarily, I'd have sympathy for her about her pop's cheating, but Mirna is a mess.

We knew Jero would find out the hard way about Flavia. Too bad this lesson is hurting his sons, not just him

Sometimes it takes reading the astute comments to make a realization (at least for me). Every comment thus far has contained a unifying theme:

"Angel is turning out to be a very emotional kind of guy which surprised me. He was crying as much as Rayo" (Jarifa); "I was so glad Rayo is now part of Angel’s family. I had tears, along with Rayo and Angel" (Liz) and "Angel had such a smile of delight announcing to Rayo that she's family" (Niecie).

While (mostly) likeable but somewhat flawed, Jero is not the galan of this story. Patient, kind, sympathetic, empathetic and after last night, a loving and open hearted presence. Not quite perfect, but pretty close; Angel is clearly the galan here.

"Even when Julia and Ester were at their best supporting Rayo, there never was this joy to have Rayo" said it all Niecie. Hopefully, the beginning of a happily ever after Rayo would never have imagined mere weeks ago.

Causing Daniela to suffer multiple miscarriages and wanting to hurt Isabela prove Karen is clearly evil (the opposite of your "Dani is pure goodness" Liz). Whether she is pure evil without being mentally ill has yet to be determined.

"I kind of wish Karen would team up with Aaron to finish off Fausto because I'm sick of him" had me laughing waterlily (but I'm not saying I don't wish the same :))

Liz, I still want to know how "keeping the books", which doesn't seem to be taking too much of Flavia's time since she always has time be skulking and gossiping, is equitable to Jero working long hours on the food truck. Does she think she is better somehow because her bookkeeping is more of a white collar job and therefore is superior to Jero cooking food and serving people? I think that Jero didn't consider what Ester told him about Flavia and was desperate to find a job. With what seems all of his money tied up in the truck, I cannot see any easy way out. I said it before and I will say it again: being gullible is not a good thing.

Niecie, due to my ungrammatical sentence, I did not make it clear. Sergio proposed to Mirna because he was going a long trip. There was no talk about her coming along.

Diana, Angel is turning out to be very galán like. The guy has a good heart but he better not turn out to be be gullible which I just criticized Jero for. Gullible is not attractive.

Another jam-packed episode with lots of info. My head wanted to explode! LOL

BRAULIO AND MISAEL

Hmmm . . . the episode opens up one month before the accident and we finally know what the original set-up was. It seems that Misael had helped out Braulio in his illegal deeds before. Now Braulio had something that really would be worth Misael's while. Braulio let Misael know that Homero got a huge loan in cash. It seems that Misael was friendly with Homero and that would be useful. Brauio said he would try and he wanted Misael to try to convince Homero to send him (Misael) go pick up the loan in person. After Misael picked up the money, he would fake an assault, disappear for a while and then return later. Braulio would give him a percentage and keep the rest. Misael was not sure about doing this at first. Braulio tells him how easy it would be. Homero wasn't aware of what was going on several times a day. They could make some really good money. After the accident, Braulio paid Misael a visit asking where he was keeping his money. He insisted on negotiating with Braulio first. He needed some questions answered.

Then we see when Misael was in jail and Braulio came to see him. Braulio wanted to make sure Misael is telling the same version of the accident as he did. Braulio says not to play the victim. With all the money he has stashed away, he can pay for his own lawyer or buy his way out of jail. Misael asks Braulio if he knows that Silvano offered him a great lawyer if he would tell him where the money was. He also informs him that Silvano is suspicious of Braulio being an accomplice in the robbery of the money. Braulio wonders how Silvano would know all of that. He accuses Misael of ratting him out. Misael says that Silvano is cunning and was able to put two and two together. Braulio sees that as impossible. Misael asks if there is anyone closer to the money at the Funes company than Braulio.

We suddenly are in the present in the parking garage where Braulio accuses Misael of playing both sides. On the one hand he was Silvano's inside man at the Funes company and also his accomplice. Misael says the only side he is on is his own. He asks Braulio if he also doesn't work for his own benefit. He also knows how Braulio is doing everything he can to get control of the Funes company but that isn't going to happen. Braulio makes sure that Misael understands that yes, the Funes company will be his.

Braulio says the worst is that his wife suspects that he is involved in illegal activities. Misael says that his wife liked to play detective, too, but the difference is that he has his wife well under control. Braulio says that Silvano's accident didn't come at a bad time at all because he also wanted to control the Funes company. Misael chuckles at it being an accident. Braulio makes it clear that it was an accident. Misael says if he can keep out of jail, he is going to grab his wife and kid and they are going to live the life they deserve. Incredulous, Braulio asks if Julia wants a divorce, why is he planning a life with her??? Misael insists whether Julia wants to or not, Julia has to do what he tells her to because she is his wife. Braulio starts to anger Misael when he tells him good luck with that if Julia has found another guy when he was gone. Misael wants to know what Braulio knows. Braulio says he was just saying . . . Misael insists that would never happen because Julia is loyal and faithful. Misael starts to leave in a huff but Braulio has one last message for him. They need to stick together otherwise it is going to turn out very badly.

 

VENCER Part 2

LENAR AND ESTER

Lenar comes to talk to Ester about Jero. She explains how he is the love of her life. She is checking with Ester to make sure she doesn't have any feelings for him. She is going to do whatever she has to do to get him back. Ester says she has great appreciation for Jero but olny as the friends that they are. She asks for Ester's help. What does Ester know about Jero's partner Flavia? All Ester knows is that they are partners. With her own involvement with her ex and Flavia, she cannot help her out as she would like. Lenar wants to know why not. Ester says because she and Lenar do not know each other at all. Lenar thanks her for letting her know that she is not interested nor will she be interested in Jero romantically. Later, Ester lets Jero know that Lenar stopped by and what she said.


JERO

Jero pays his sons before their shift begins. Ebe thanks him for talking to his partner. Adair passed his open prep classes, Jero didn't but Jero is not giving up. He will take the exams again. He insists he is going to study a profession. More than anything, Jero is happy that they are like a father and his sons should be. Ebe is very involved in seeking organ donors for an organ donor drive at the university. He asks Jero so sign up. Jero says he has to think about it. He might be too old! Later, Jero tells Adair that he is thinking about taking the truck to bars and clubs, and places like that at night to make more money. No hs sons will not be coming with him. He will hire somebody else.


JULIA AND ANGEL

Julia is happy that Rayo realizes what she did was wrong and is willing to pay the consequences. Angel says she will have to stay in state custody for a few weeks until all of the paperwork for her name change and custody is settled. Julia explains that she is worried about Danny's close contact with his Misael and that he is going to take advantage of the situation to try to blackmail her so she will not file for divorce but she will not change her mind. Angel is happy to hear that decision. As long as Misael is around, she would like to find out how involved Misael was with the missing money and how guilty he is. She is also bummed still being married to Misael and feeling so much for Angel. He reminds her that her marriage wasn't good before they met. He says he is glad he found out that Ana Sofí wasn't the right one for him before they got married. He informs her that he is letting Ana Sofí stay at his place due to the loss of he dad and he has moved in with his dad. He assures her that he made it clear to Ana Sofí that there is nothing between them. Knowing what their situations are, Angela and Julia are able to go on until all of their problems are solved. He steals a couple of kisses on the cheek.


ANGEL AND HOMERO

Homero wants to talk to Angel about an advance directive. He knows that Angel doesn't agree but .. . Angel has something else to talk about first. He adds it could change his future. He tells his father that he investigated Margarita. His father says he had no right to. Angel says he had to. First, his father needs to know that Margarita died several months ago. It was in the same accident where Misael disappeared. Second, Margarita disappeared 15 years ago because she was pregnant. Rayo is her daughter and his daughter. Homero never expected that. He is overjoyed and wants to see Rayo and get her out of that juvenile center. Angel says Homero is going to to have to recognize her as his daughter. They have the DNA test results and a he has a lawyer on the case. It could take up to a month to get her out of the juvenile center and change her name to Funes. Homero says that is only right. He thanks Angel for everything. Mirna comes in to see what she is missing. Homero says that Margarita had a daughter. Mirna can only say "NO!" Mirna would rather be dead than see Rayo have the Funes name. She leaves. Angel and Homero laugh.
 

VENCER Part 3

JULIA AND MISAEL

Misael tells Danny he has to go tomorrow to Matehuala. Danny wants to go too. Misael says sure. Julia reminds him that Danny has classes tomorrow. Julia tells Danny that his father has adult things to do not kid things. Misael ignores her and says after his adult things are done they can go around together. Danny wants to go. Misael doesn't know why the three of them can't go together. She says it isn't good for them because he has the things that need together done there, not them. The next morning, Danny talks about going to Matehuala at the breakfast table. Julia says no but Rodolfo ends up taking Danny's side.(REALLY It is HER kid not HIS) She ends up caving and going to Matehuala. Rodolfo lends them his car. She wants to be back home that very night. Later, Julia and Danny are in Matehuala waiting for Misael. He finally emerges. Julia wants to grab some food and hit the road. Misael wants to go out to eat so Julia gives in one more time. Then, what do you know??? It is getting late and Misael wants to spend the night in Matehuala. Julia asks him to respect the agreement they made to go back tonight. He wants to make a weekend of it! He wonders who Julia is getting text messages from. Misael takes Danny out to play leaving Julia alone at the table in the restaurant. He comes back without Danny. He says that Danny was going to go to the washroom and then come get her to join them. Well, Danny never arrived. He sees how busy she has been on her cellphone and starts to imply that is why she didn't see her son. Julia tells him to stop right there. She shows him that she has been working. She asks where Danny is and goes looking for him. Misael doesn't know but if Danny is lost it is HER fault.


JERO AND DONATO AND LENAR

Jero and Donato get together. Jero tells Donato not give up on Lenar. Donato does not have much hope since things have never been like this before between them. Jero tells him how much his sons miss him. Donato misses them, too. Donato is grateful for Jero's support. Jero says since he will not be living there, he wants to return the money Donato gave him for the house. He will need some time but he will pay him back. Donato tells him to take all the time he needs. He will continue to pay the mortgage. Jero is clearly surprised that there is a mortgage. Donato explains that they took money from the house to buy new dryers for the laundry and remodel it. Donato says when he took half of the house, he told Lenar he would pay the mortgage so they could pay it off faster. He did it to protect Jero and his sons' inheritance. Jero is so grateful that he looked out for Lenar and his sons. Donato says it was nothing because, to him, they are his family. Donato wants to make it clear that he never wanted to hurt Jero. Jero knows that. He just needs time to organize his money and expenses. Jero goes to see Lenar asking about the mortgage. Didn't he send her enough money from the USA? She says she couldn't keep asking for more money because she knew that life was very tough for him. He reminds her that he sent her dollars that were worth more than pesos. He wants to know what else she spent the money on if it wasn't on his kids???


ESTER THE DETECTIVE

Braulio MAKES SURE that Ester knows that he is large and in charge now that Angel is not there.

On his way to a meeting, Braulio stops by Celeste's office to complain to Ester about Angel taking care of Rayo's situation. He has nothing good to say about her or Margarita. He never knew that Margarita had something going on with Homero!
 

VENCER Part 4

When Braulio leaves for a couple of hours, Ester snoops around his office to see what kind iof nfo she can find. She finds two strange bills from two companies that Braulio approved payment on. She calls somebody at the company (The answer man???LOL) who tells her that Braulio brought those two companies on board three years ago. Ester calls Celeste and tells her that she has an idea. It looks like Braulio could be getting huge commissions from companies by insuring they became Funes providers. Celeste tells her she can stop investigating. She talked to Braulio. Ester cannot believe that she would trust what he said. Furthermore, they had made an agreement that Celeste would not ask him and that is the first thing that she did. She adds that Braulio is going to be very careful now and it is going to be even harder to find out anything. Ester says she is afraid of finding out who her husband really is. Celeste says she wants to believe in the father of her child. (Really??? even if he is a criminal??? )

Changing the topic, Celeste wonders if Margarita left Funes because she got pregnant. Ester says her own husband said he knew nothing about the affair even though he shared the same office with Margarita. Celeste stay that is wrong because Braulio said that he and Margarita never worked together. Ester says that is what he told her but then Celeste isn't interested in the truth . . . . Later, in some old files, Ester finds bills approved for payment by Margarita. She calls "the answer man" again and asks who Margarita was that she would have approved payments. It turns out Margarita was Braulio's personal assistant. He gave her the power to sign documents in his name. (okay . . . )


EVERYTHING ELSE

Ana Sofí admits to Mirna she only wanted to live at Angel's to try to get Angel back. She may have lost the battle but not the war.

Mirna is upset because after last night she cannot get in contact with Sergio. It is as if he has disappeared.

Max asks Ester what Cinthia's parents had to to say about their daughter. Ester says it seems that they didn't want anything to do with her. He thinks they should find Cinthia to avoid a custody fight. Ester is not interested. She is ready to go for custody of her grandson. Max says he's not a lawyer so he doesn't know what the requirements for custody are. Max will find out. He does know that she is going to have to prove that she has the money to cover Denis' expenses. Ester says the only thing hanging over her head is her debt with Flavia. She asks Max to help her with that. She wants him to pay Flavia and she will pay him. Max says he will help her.

Flavia says no problem if Jero's rent is late. They are partners!!!

It is late but Gina is all ready to go out with Erik. PSA Julia reminds Gina to be careful and take care of herself if she is getting physical with Erik. Gina says whatever she does with her "crush" (It sounded like "crotch" to me. Happy and grateful for Spanish subtitles) So funny) is HER responsibility after all. Julia thinks she wants to mark her territory. Gina says she is not a dog. Gina gets a text from Erik saying that he has to break their date. He has an early meeting and wants to be at his best. Gina is disappointed. Julia thinks that Gina could benefit from following Erik's work ethic.


 

VENCER Part 5

Ester tells Jero that she misses his friendship and having somebody she can trust. He takes a step closer other and tells her that he misses her a lot. That looks way too close for her. She decides she has to go and check on Max and Denis. She tells Jero goodnight and lightly touches his cheek.

Celeste visits Rayo. Celeste asks about that girl she was always hanging around with. Did she know the thieves? Rayo doesn't want to involve her. She was her family when she had nobody. She tells Celeste that the time she spent with her after her mother died was the best!!! Celeste confides in Rayo she is afraid of her illness coming back and provoking a crisis after her baby is born. Rayo says if that happens, she will be there for her.

Camino #44 Part 1

At the restaurant, Memo walks in the parking lot, staring at the dark sky, illuminated with shining stars. Under the cover of darkness, hiding behind a truck, Fausto has an unobstructed view of his target. His face mirroring his blazing hatred, he is poised and ready to strike. He points his weapon with Memo, back turned, directly in his sights. He points the gun just as Chema runs out in his red cape and jumps into his tio’s arms. Memo hoists him on his shoulders and they mount the steps.

But Fausto’s foiled assassination attempt is not undetected. Cesar emerges from the shadow of the truck and confronts him, gun drawn. He asks Fausto if he backed down. Staring intently, Fausto questions how long he was there. Long enough to know you want to do away with Memo Cesar replies.

Once inside, Amparo takes Chema off to bathe. After seeing Memo with Chema, Ursula effuses what a wonderful father he will be. Memo can barely make eye contact as she draws him into a kiss. Yet, Memo thanks her for her understanding, for giving him time and for her love. He asks her to forgive him for making things so difficult. Ursula feels better times are coming. She wants him to love her; she is sure she can make him fall in love with her.

Fausto and Cesar stare each other down. Cesar assures Fausto he isn’t his enemy. Fausto asks Cesar what he wants to not tell anyone he saw him there. When Fausto asks who he is, Cesar retorts he could be his best friend. Cesar asks why Fausto wanted to kill Memo and Fausto’s answer is “pending issues”. Cesar has his own issues with Memo and asks Fausto how much he will pay to have Memo killed. Fausto agrees to hire him and as they shake their soon to be bloodied hands, a(nother) unholy alliance is formed.

Grace asks her mother where her television is. Yolanda says her father took it; after all, he did pay for it. Grace angrily tells her mother that SHE bought it with money she had saved. Yolanda said Macario left money and she will buy her a second hand one (how generous I murmur). Grace asks why he didn’t take the TV from his other daughters; the ones with his last name, living a better life than she. Unlike his pampered daughters, she had to work rather than study. Yolanda states Macario plans to marry her and buy them a house. Grace (rightly) concludes her mother is dreaming again. From now on? Grace will be looking out for herself…

Macario is plugging in his computer when Cesar comes in. He tells Macario that he has a new “business” and Macario could be in for mo’ money. They play “pretend boxing” and exchange bro hugs.

Now that he has made a pact with one of his minions to have Memo murdered, Satan’s spirits are buoyed and he tells Isa he is feeling better. Dani questions him as to why he told Isa that they would look for her father. Fausto tells her that is because it is exactly what they will do!

Camino #44 Part 2

Elsewhere, Karen and Aaron have heated up their red bed sheets. Aaron wastes no time in pulling out that pesky engagement ring but Karen (again) tells him no. They still need to get to know each other better. He needs to make some changes so she can be proud of the man she will marry. She adds that there are other ways that he can be part of her world…like having shares in the company.

Daniela is still in shock that Fausto agrees! He assures her is serious but they must handle things carefully. Daniela agrees and will contact the psychologist so she can counsel them on how to proceed. Fausto then drops the proverbial bombshell. They need to do things the right way and shouldn’t separate as it would be too hard on Isa. If they tell Isa the truth, there will be no divorce. That is his condition!

Karen offers to give Aaron money to buy 11 shares which will give him 2 more shares than Fausto has. Therefore, his vote will weigh more than Fausto’s. Karen will make him a husband worthy of her and he will never lower his head to Fausto.

Macario sports leopard boxer shorts as he and Cesar watch the game, eat chips and drink. Cesar asks Macario if he knows Fausto. Macario, quick on the uptake, wonders if that is who Cesar will do business with and how much money is involved (his overriding concern with everything). Cesar tells him that Fausto wants to have Memo killed…and that will free his way to Ursula. Macario also thinks that with Memo out of the way, it will be easier to get Amparo to sell the land. It’s a win/win.

I thought Daniela would have misgivings and not acquiesce so quickly but surprisingly she agrees not to separate. She wants her space though and does dictate that Fausto will sleep in JuanPa’s room. He has no issue with that either and takes a pillow as he heads out.

Ursula is kissing Memo’s broad shoulders as he sleeps soundly. Sensing he is truly asleep rather than feigning sleep, she gets up, puts her robe on and leaves. We don’t have to guess where she is going. Ahhh, but Cesar is not alone and Ursula comes face to face with Macario. She asks why he is there and wonders why he didn’t go to Yolanda’s. Cesar chooses Ursula, kicking Macario out. Macario stage whispers to her that she is playing with fire! Cesar doffs his shirt and takes a dive on the bed.

The next morning, a happy Daniela calls Memo she has something important to impart, they need to meet.

Isa, wearing a glittering lavender and green flowered headband, asks her friend Sofi about her father. Sofi tells her that her father married again and now his wife will have a baby. Isa thinks it’s super-duper that she will have a baby brother to hug!

Camino #44 Part 3

Memo gets in his truck with Cesar in hot pursuit following on his motorcycle. Ursula gets out of the shower with a note from Memo explaining something came up and he had to leave.

Grace shows up at the restaurant and goes straight to Amparo, asking for a job as a waitress.

Karen talks to her father about the marriage proposal, admitting that Aaron is going too fast. Eugenio knows she needs to be careful but she needs to get married so she can give him grandchildren! Karen protests and he backtracks a bit, telling her he respects her decision. But two seconds later he is carrying on about nietos! She tells Eugenio that Aaron has some money to invest and would like to meet with him. Karen then tells him that if Aaron buys shares and she marries him, the shares will stay within the family.

Cesar has followed Memo who has met Daniela at a restaurant. Naturally, they are high up, dining on an outside patio where Cesar has a clear view as he watches from the ground. Daniela tells Memo Isabela wants to know who her biological father is and Fausto is agreeing to tell her! Memo smiles and hugs Daniela as she winces (likely in pain for agreeing to stay with Fausto). At that moment, Ursula appears yelling at Memo asking if this woman is your emergency???

Memo tries to explain that he and Daniela met to discuss Isabela. Ursula is out of control spewing that Dani will take any opportunity to kiss her husband. And with that, Dani gets a resounding non-bi**h slap from Ursula! Memo intervenes telling Ursula to cool down explaining Isabela wants to know her biological father which Daniela confirms. Ursula asks when this is going to happen and Dani tells her they need to plan carefully. Dani apologizes for making trouble between Memo and his wife and Memo apologizes for Ursula’s behavior. Memo tells Ursula (again) that Dani will always be in his life; she is the mother of his daughter. Ursula leaves, muttering under her breath as Cesar comes up and startles her. Ursula asks Cesar how he knew Memo was there and Cesar declares he is watching out for her.

Grace pleads with Amparo for a job, lying through her teeth that she forgot her ID. She sees Macario later and tells him she needs a fake ID. She is underage but needs to work. He professes he doesn’t get involved in anything untoward but she calls him on his lies and he agrees to help her.

Aaron and Eugenio meet. I am completely in love with your daughter, she is extraordinary he utters sincerely. Eugenio tells him Karen told him about wanting to invest and assures him he need not look elsewhere. Eugenio explains that he can sell shares without advising the Board. Aaron tells him he wants 11 shares and when Eugenio agrees, Aaron seems a bit startled. It’s a done deal and they shake on it!

Camino #44 Part 4

Fausto gives Cesar half the money. Knowledge is power and now Cesar wants double or nothing as he now knows Memo is Isabela’s father. Fausto asks why Cesar hates Memo…he has a right to know…so that he can trust him. Cesar tells him that he is Ursula’s husband.

Memo again tells Ursula that Daniela is the mother of my child, she will forever be a part of my life.

Lupita is still on cloud 9, walking on air that Sebastian rode in on horseback asking her to be his novia. Amparo smiles lovingly but advises that a man can appear to be a prince, but things can change. Lupita shouldn’t do anything that she doesn’t want to do…a man will get only as much as he is given. Amparo then tells Lupita that Macario is living with Cesar when Ursula isn’t there (kidding, I made that last part up 😊).

Cesar spills some secrets to Fausto. He married Ursula first and therefore, her marriage to Memo is a fraud. Fausto retorts by saying something very uncomplimentary about Ursula. When Cesar admits to being the baby’s father, Fausto’s day is made so readily agrees to pay him double.

Lupita serves her father and he is appreciative. He hangs his head and “repents” over Amparo. He grabs her hand and pleads she convince her mother to let him come back. He did it because he loves them…he made a mistake but he is a good father.

Grace goes to get her fake ID that Macario will pay for. She tells the man that she needs the ID to show that she is 3 years older than she is.

Macario is breaking Lupita down and she laughs and agrees to help him. Then she gets a text from Sebastian that has her sweetly smiling. She tells her father they are novios and he looks livid.

Camino #44 Part 5 (Last)

Isa goes to her mother and tells her she has drawn all the family in her picture and mentions them by name including her mother in heaven. She asks when she will meet her real father…. she wants him to be in her picture.

Macario upbraids Lupita. She is too young he tells her, also I don’t like your novio. He threatens that if that guy puts a hand on her, he will kill him!!

Dani tells Isa that things are complicated. She has already talked to her father (Fausto) and they want her to meet her real father, but they need to figure out when and how she will meet him. She gently asks Isa to be patient and calm. Dani then tells Isa that even though she didn’t give birth to her, she is everything to her. Isa then wonders if her real father is married …because maybe she can have the brother she wants. Viewerville cringes and our hearts go out collectively to Daniela.

Memo assures Ursula that he cares about her and he thought they could start over. She brings up his kiss with Daniela but Memo reiterates that happened before they married. He only told her as he didn’t want their marriage to start with secrets or lies. He brings up that Ursula told Fausto he was Isabela’s father and that he could have lost Isabela. As the argument escalates, Ursula doubles over in pain. He is immediately concerned and puts his hand on her stomach.

The villains spilled so many of their secrets, didn't they?? Fausto was practically preening at all he learned as Cesar landed in his lap (so to speak) ready, willing and able to do the dirty work he didn't have the stomach for.

Can't wait to see what happens next!

Jarifa, this was a splendid summary of an episode overflowing with information and revelations.

“Misael says that his wife liked to play detective, too, but the difference is that he has his wife well under control”. What a male chauvinist (among many other unflattering things). He is using Danny to try and prolong the agonizing trip to get closer to Julia, who isn’t emitting the slightest sign (covert or overt) she is interested in reconciling. Further, Have we ever seen Misael in a shirt without his chest hair protruding? ☹

“Misael chuckles at it being an accident. Braulio makes it clear that it was an accident”. Does Braulio protest too much? We know it was murder, it’s just a question as to who the murderer is. The flashbacks of Braulio and Misael showing they were in league early on were fascinating.

“Jero pays his sons before their shift begins. Ebe thanks him for talking to his partner”. Jero didn’t talk to Flavia did he? I assumed he paid them from his own pocket. While there is no hope Jero will reconcile with Lenar it appears there may be a thaw toward Ester. I really hope he tells her what happened with Cinthia before she finds out another way.

“Mirna would rather be dead than see Rayo have the Funes name. She leaves. Angel and Homero laugh”. I was so happy to see they dismissed her and further, laughed! But I do wonder why after asking Mirna to marry him, Sergio appears to have disappeared.

Diana your recaps are such a delight to read! You weave such compassion into each and every one! You’re a natural storyteller!

So now there’s a line forming to kill Memo!! And yet, he’s the galán so we can assume no one will succeed. It will be interesting to see what Cesar comes up with though!

It’s going crazy on Dani is getting old, I get why she’s jealous but that is a situation she married into. Memo is right, Dani is now a part of her life like it or not and she needs to be smarter than throwing a fit in public!

I wasn’t expecting Aaron and Karen to actually sleep together this soon! Wow!

There’s more I wanted to say I am sure, but I can’t think! So tired today…
 

VENCER

Diana, so it seems that Jero is paying his kids out of his own pocket and now doesn’t have money to pay that leech Flavia oit of his own pocket. I wonder what Lenar spent all the money on.

I still don’t get it, Rodolfo knows his son-in-law is a ne’er-do-well but he keeps supporting him for Danny’s sake but to his daughter’s detriment? Loan Misael his car even? Rodolfo is off my good guy list. He is just an enabler for machista Misael. I won’t even get into Julia acting stupid. I am adding Celeste to that stupid list, too.

So, now we know how Braulio was milking the Funes business for years. I have no doubt he killed Santino. We still have about 24 episodes left, so there is plenty of time for justice to be done.

Thanks, Jarifa, lots of reveals in this episode. And lots I didn’t understand until I read your recap!

I did laugh at Mirna’s little temper tantrum. She is just a spoiled brat. Sergio is becoming a big mystery.

I didn’t realize Misael sent Danny to the bathroom. I did wonder if he hid him away so Julia would have to spend the night. Which he still might have done. He’s not very trustworthy. I am surprised he’s worked with Braulio before. I figured it was this one time. He is a true male chauvinist pig. He acts like he owns Julia.

I do feel sorry for Donato. Right or wrong, Lenar and the boys were his family. But I’m glad Ester refused to help Lenar.

I’m sure Jero payed the boys with his own money. All that work they did getting the truck ready. I hope Jero has a contract with Flavia. You really can’t trust her.

Ester needs to be more honest about what is going on with Dennis. She’s hiding him from his other grandparents!

Celeste is back to trusting her husband and going against Ester’s advice. She’ll be in for a shock. Ester’s going to figure this all out.

Braulio insisting the death was an accident just makes him look more guilty. I bet he knew Margarita was pregnant, and who the father was. He may have forced her to leave.

Hope Danny is found tonight!

Memo should make a recording he can simply play to Ursula when she starts in: "Daniela will always be in my life as she is the mother of my daughter". As you wisely noted Ursula's rants are "getting old".

Memo has survived another day and I hope for his continued good health. All I can say is that I would be far more concerned had Aaron decided to participate in the "Get Memo" contest. Aaron plots and plans intelligently. Cesar, who acts on the spur of the moment and is too impulsive, does not.

I hope your day goes by quickly and that you can relax a bit after work...

Jarifa, "Rodolfo knows his son-in-law is a ne’er-do-well but he keeps supporting him for Danny’s sake but to his daughter’s detriment? Loan Misael his car even? Rodolfo is off my good guy list. He is just an enabler for machista Misael" was perfect and needed to be repeated in its entirety.

Misael is a liar and a loser. Rodolfo's support is exasperating and confounding. What makes it all the worse for me is that he knows Julia and Angel are in love! Angel is good and everything Misael isn't. If he wanted what is best for his daughter and grandson he would be trying to shield them, NOT try to keep Julia under Misael's thumb.

Liz, I'm kind of obsessed with finding out who Sergio is and what he wants. With all the mysteries and puzzles, my mind keeps going back to him. Shame on me...

Jarifa, I've heard no announcement but that should happen soon. Boy, I will miss this!!!

That slap Ursula gave Dani was horrible, and so uncalled for. Ursula is doing a lot more with Cesar. I’m glad Memo told her the facts, that Dani will be in his life.

Macario is willing to see his brother-in-law dead so he’ll have a better chance of getting his hands on Amparo’s land. His threat to kill Sebastian should make Lupita think about her father.

Grace is really going to stir the pot! As she gets to know Amparo and the family she may rethink her opinion of this family. No one could think bad of Amparo.

I didn’t think Eugenio was going to sell Aaron the stock. He seemed surprised at the 11% request. He might be too trusting! Wait until Fausto finds out! He’ll have another job for Cesar.

"No one could think bad of Amparo". You are so right! I like what you said that once Grace sees and experiences what a "real" family is, she may well "rethink" and realize they have everything she does not, including a loving mother.

Eugenio did look grim when Aaron made the request and I wondered what would happen. Eugenio seems very shrewd but like most fathers (except for Macario) he has a soft spot for his daughter. "Wait until Fausto finds out! He’ll have another job for Cesar" made me smile and yes, Fausto is going to be livid! And the best part is that he's been outmaneuvered and outsmarted by Karen. He never stood a chance!

Braulio and Mistake are cut from the same horrible cloth . If anyone wants to buy Mistake a belated Xmas present , he likes his shirts two sizes too small with short , tight sleeves, and no need for those top three buttons because be never uses them. . Horrible , hairy monster. Ugh I saw photos of him online .

Jero continues to bounce from place to place , from one mujer to another , and one nob to another , and he can't ever seem to hold onto a job, a habitat, a mujer, or money . At least , he now seems to have a good relationship with his sons.

My question is....we all seem to think Sergio is not a good guy , but I am wondering if he is somehow connected to the other bad guys or if he has his own evil plan going And is spinning his own web for obnoxious Mirna .

Lenar suddenly now wants Jer after being cold and dismissive to him. Either the writing, directing for this character is off or the acting. Lenar is one of the blandest characters I have ever seen.She looks like Olive Oyl and has absolutely no charisma or spark . Flavia is awful but fascinating in her arrogance and narcissism . Ester is arrogant and abrasive .Lenar is just blahhhhhhhh.

Question: each Vencer telenovela has different characters and plots, right? But I think the main theme is to have all the characters' stories come together, or am I mistaken?

I'm thinking of watching the next Vencer series. Vencer la Ausencia is already too many episodes in for me to catch up.

Weirdo, the “Vencer” series always revolves around the lives of four women of different ages who are intertwined some how. The stories have always been contemporary dealing with contemporary social issues. I have seen three of the four installments and have enjoyed them.

Lenar going to Ester for help was weird. So she hasn't given up on that stupid idea of getting Geronimo back.I thought people go to the U.S to make things easier for their families but here there's still a mortgage to pay? Why?
Geronimo should have listened to Ester when she told him Flavia was bad news. Ester now seems to reconsider her 'I just want you to leave me be' attitude towards Geronimo but then rushes off again.
The way Celeste almost wants to be lied to is scary.It might be my ownbelief that no one can be fully trusted, but her behaviour is very unsettling. I suppose she feels he is the only one she has got (Braulio made sure she thought this) because the reality is that when you are as ill as she is likely to be, it's hard to find people willing to help. This pregnancy plot always worried me in this telenovela.
Margarita and Homero having an affair is one of those situations where I feel I get a bit too judgemental. It doesn't surprise me Homero got involved with her but it would be lovely if women didn't give such men a chance because 'that's what men do' is an excuse thos other women will have to hear as well.

Great work, Jarifa. I blanked on some of the dialogue here and you cleared that up.

Misael probably was looking to kidnap Danny and disappear. He does not love Julia at all and I question that he ever did. I can't forget that the look on his face when she told him she was pregnant was not that of happiness. Now he thinks of her as his property and he is using their son against her.

Rudolfo shocked me when he took Misael's side. Is dementia contagious?

Braulio is looking guiltier every day now. Angel will feel like an idiot when the truth comes out.

Mirna will probably spring into a serious tantrum tonight.

Jeronimo paying rent while Flavia refuses to pay his sons? That has to be illegal.

Celeste needs a wake-up call.

Esther probably thinks she is protecting Denis; she may even be right.

I also fail to understand why Daniela married Fausto. If his present behavior is a full about-face she needs to insist he see a doctor. Karen called it when she said that both she and Daniela deserve better.

Eugenio probably did what he did deliberately to put Fausto in his place.

Macario wanting Memo dead is a bit unexpected. While I doubt that Macario would even get close to selling Amparo's lands I'm sure the only use he would make of the money would be to gamble it away.

Graciela doing an about face? I don't know about that.

Is Ursula faking this pain? She is not above such things.

Something tells me that Isabella will not know the truth until Ultimos Capitulos.

Urban, it crossed my mind that Ursula was faking it at the end. Her character is a good actress.

Your thought that Eugenio went along with Aaron "to put Fausto in his place" was very interesting. That did not occur to me but he is frustrated with Fausto and this might have been the perfect opportunity to do just that!

I am trying to think but I don't believe anyone (except Macario) knows about Grace or am I wrong? Macario won't give her away but he will be furious and may chase her off. It will be interesting to see her in the midst of all the family chaos and drama!

Liz, I sure hope that the Dany situation is solved quickly. What a rat for Misael to let a little boy like that fend for himself in a public place and then try to blame Julia for it. I also am not a fan of how duplicitous Ester has been with Cinthia's parents and with Max about her parents. That cannot come to any good.

Diana, "Misael is a liar and a loser." you can say that again. I cannot deal with Julia's passivity.

Susanlynn, that is the mystery: is Sergio involved in the general skullduggery or is he on his own. At this point, I have no idea but I hope he is on his own. I don't think I would want to try to think how he would fit into the other schemes. Yes, Lenar does look like Olive Oyl and seems to have no personality at all. She is "blahhhhhhhh" as you said. : )

Sometimes women are women's worst enemy. Yes, Celeste's behavior is very unsettling but then there is the issue of her having a severe disease and being pregnant as you so well noted. Maybe if she were healthy, she would have more confidence in herself and be m ore open to seeing Braulio for what he is.

Urban, "Is dementia contagious?" Best question of the night! Rodolfo was also the one who told Misael he could come back and live with them when he got out of the slammer without asking Julia about it. That whole Misael/Julia marriage mess should be a PSA for using birth control.

Celeste is in such a vulnerable position. I'm thinking she now realizes Braulio is dirty but she can't yet process how dirty. So much of her life is wrapped up with this cretin. Her system will not compute.

ITA Braulio knew about the Homero and Margarita affair. Why else would Braulio have been so personally insulting about Margarita to her own daughter. The mystery now for me is why Margarita never told Homero about Rayo, especially after Homero's wife died and there was no one who'd be hurt.

I hate that the writers turned Rodolfo, who used to be good for a chuckle and has said himself he was more father to Danny than that louse Misael.

Lenar has not spent the money on fashion and luxuries, so where did it go?

I'm betting Sergio is running a game on his own and is not with the Santino gang. Armando didn't know him.

And yes, "Naturally, they [Dani and Memo] are high up, dining on an outside patio where Cesar has a clear view as he watches from the ground."

Dani and Memo will never have their deep conversations on the phone cause where's the fun in that? ;>

Aaron and Karen did the deed, but I couldn't tell whether they "clicked" or whether it's still all business. He was enthusiastic, but who knows if that's mere compliment to woo her.

Notes from the couch . . .

PRESENT TIME

Misael and Braulio are talking in the parking garage. The whole conversation is covered in the text when it happens.

THE DAY BEFORE

-Juila still cannot find Danny because his father told him to hide in the bathroom. They were going to play a trick on mommy so they can stay in Matehuala for another day. In the meantime, Misael is consoling Julia who is lamenting the fact that Danny is gone because she didn't take care of him as she should have. (This scene is vomitable) Misael is really enjoying her breakdown. Danny hears form some guys using the urinal that his mother is very upset and that the police have been called. He decides on his own to end the joke. He says he hid because he didn't want to go home and she was angry. She apologizes (I don't know for what) and tells him he can never do anything like that again.

-Ester is still trying to convince Celeste about Braulio. He lied to her about Margarita being his personal assistant. Celeste wonders why he would be lying to her. Ester says Margarita is the only person who had all the answers.

- Lenar tells Jero that she used the money to help out her family that was going through a rough time. Jero is angry she didn't tell him. She says there was no other way and she was there all alone. Suddenly, Jero says he understands her and all she was responsible for. She says they really needed him. He hopes they can forgive him one day. He suggest that she be with the guy who really loves her: Donato.


 

VENCER Part 2

-Erik goes with Gina out to eat at a nice place and she goes a bit overboard in ordering. He thinks he will have to give up a kidney to pay. It turns out she is going to do a recording for her social media and mention the restaurant a few times. The food is free because of her talent on the social networks!!! He doesn't like the food and is bothered that she is going to give the place a shining review on her social networks. She explains that then she will get invited to more places. It is the way things are monetized and how she can make money. He warns her she is turning into who she hates the most: an Ana Sofí clone. She disagrees. Her restaurant video is a hit. She has two more restaurants lined up for her to visit. Erik still doesn't like what she is doing. The topic of Ariel comes up. Erik says that he has been away for awhile. It has been very mysterious because he hasn't been in contact with him. Gina wonders if Erik is cheating on her. No he wants a stable relationship with her. She wants to go back to his place and just talk. He can't. Tomorrow he has loads of things to do. She tells Chepina about the situation. She says that something isn't right. She thinks he is going out with somebody else.

-Teo is asking Mati's minion if he as seen her. Teo cannot get in contact with her. The minion has no idea where she is. Teo says Rayo is in the juvenile detention center. Leonel is still in jail. The minion thinks Teo would fit in just great with their gang.

-Flavia and Max are on the verge of getting a divorce. She says that first they will have to decide how they are going to divide their property. She will not allow him to divide her son's inheritance with Ester and her newly found relatives: namely Denis. She wonders if he has gone back to Ester because he is now paying her debt. Max is angry. He will do what he wants with his property. Flavia thinks not.

-Mirna finally gets a text from Sergio. He is caught in the middle of a big mess. Something terrible happened to him unexpectedly. He cannot tell her because he wants to keep her safe. It is going to be longer now before he can come back. He will tell her everything then. She is the only support he has. Mirna tells Doris all about Sergio, Doris says not to worry. Sergio is a good and brave man. Doris knows nothing about his work but does know he is very much in love with Mirna and knows Mirna will support him in everything. (Hmmmm)
 

VENCER Part 3

-Ester talks to Max about Margarita. She thinks that people trusted her because she knew how to keep secrets. He tries to make conversation about Iván when he was a little kid and they had a strong marriage. She cuts him off reminding him she wants nothing to do with him except to share the apartment and a loan to pay off Flavia. She will pay him back.

-Over supper, Jero tells Flavia that he is just realizing how much his absence hurt his family. His wife fell in love with another man. Flavia doesn't think he should think about his ex that much. Jero excuses himself. He isn't hungry.

-Angel tells his father that the police have no news on the robbers. The security cameras around the house didn't catch their faces but Rayo heard one of them being called something like Chilo. He was the one who approached her friend for information on the house. Her friend is the girl who was working for them. Rayo doesn't want to talk about her. Angel has hired a lawyer to do the name change and to get Rayo out of the detention center. Homero cannot believe it is going to take at least a month to get her out. Homero has to talk to her. He asks Angel if he will take him to go see her. Angel isn't sure because of his father's condition. His father insists.

-Mati is out roaming around after dark and runs into Chilo. She is nervous and wants to talk another day. She assures him that she has said nothing and Rayo won't either..He tells her everything is fine. He gives her some money (her share). He tells her that doing business with him is like making a pact with the devil. He tells her that if she betrays him . . . he shoots her in the forehead with his finger. . . . he will wipe her off the map. Now, she can have her cut. That is Chilo's law. He can see her her becoming more involved with his gang. She just has to let him know. Chilo leaves and Mati is left scared alone in the dark.


PRESENT TIME

-Julia and Misael end up driving all night to get home right before dawn(just like Julia didn't want to have happen in the first place)Misael reminds Danny that he isn't going to tell his mother anything about the joke they played on her. He asks why not??? Misael explains that real men don't gossip like "viejas ". Danny doesn't know what "viejas " are. Misael explains that "viejas " are women and Danny is all macho and has to act that way. Danny doesn't get it and he is never going to lie to his mother. A frustrated Misael says they are not lies. They are only keeping a secret. Danny finally agrees. At breakfast, Miseal give the family his plans. He wants to get back into music and take his family to go live in the USA. JULIA SAYS NOTHING. Danny concludes the there won't be a divorce. JULIA STILL SAYS NOTHING.
 

VENCER Part 4

-Angel takes his father to meet Rayo. Homero tells her that he thought that she was the ghost of his Margarita. They look the same. He says they have so much to talk about. He has been so absent as a father in her life. Rayo says she imagined how he would look or sound so many times. She says she is not disappointed. He is so much better than what she imagined. They both want to get to know each other. He has no idea why Margarita hid her from him. He never knew she existed. Rayo thinks her mother kept the secret because he was married. Rayo knows that his wife loved hm a lot. She read her love letters when she was living in her room. He tells Rayo that a while back, Margarita contacted him. Now he thinks it was because she wanted to tell him about her but he never got to to the appointment he had set up with her. Rayo admits she did wrong and has to pay. She is very sorry. Homero says that speaks very well of her. He is looking forward to her getting out and having fun times together. She confesses she was the one who sent the tablet to her brother. Homero knows and why she did it. She asks him why he wants to die. He says there will be time to talk about that later. He wants to hear more about HER; all about her. Rayo can only cry. Homero tells her there will be time enough for her to tell him.

-Braulio tells Celeste at breakfast that he has to get to work earlier because with "Junior" (Angel) gone, he has twice as many things that need to get done. Much to Braulio's annoyance, Celeste brings up Margarita . She says it just doesn't make sense to her that he says he was so close to the owners but he never suspected that Margarita was having a thing with Homero. he tells her that "Márgara" had the reputation of being an "easy" woman (aka a slut). It had nothing to do with him. He was not going to be involved in her filthy doings. (Hmmmm BUT I bet HE wanted to be!!) Furthermore, they worked in different areas. He decides that he has lost his appetite and leaves. Celeste looks serious.

-Julia talks with Angel. She needed to tell him everything that went on in Matehuala. Julia thought that Misael would be having a lot more problems with the law than he is having. Angel says that is the version that he is telling her. They will have to find out if that is the truth. She says Misael has done nothing suspicious. He is out looking for work. Angel wonders what his real situations. She is going to see about filing for divorce today.
 

VENCER Part 5

-We are back in the parking garage at the beginning of the episode where Misael is asking why Brauliio always has to meet him in this "demon house " "aka parking garage". Braulio reminds him that they should not be seen together. Misael explains that his new lawyer is cool but not as good as the one Silvano had for him. He is also super expensive so he is expecting Braulio to help him pay him. Braulio will not have him squandering his money. Misael says he better give him what is needed so he doesn't end up in jail. Braulio agrees. The next thing Braulio needs is somebody who can pose as the new partner. Misael suggests his new lawyer. Braulio says when they have the straw man in place, he (Braulio) will be the owner of the Funes company.

-Misael then complains to Braulio about Julia going on and on about getting a divorce. He needs to end this quickly so he can take her and his son far away from here. He is happy he arrived in time so Angel didn't have a chance to get his wife into his bed. Braulio tells Misael that he is a big boy so he is going to tell him the truth: Julia and Angel are lovers. Angel told him all about it. Misael is angry that he didn't tell him before. He says before they weren't on very good terms but now since they are partners, he can tell him everything he knows. Misael leaves.

-Ester runs into Jero and his food truck on the way to work. He is parked no that far from the Funes company. She asks how his new place is. He says it is okay. She asks only okay??? but then apologizes for asking. They both agree that they want to chat but each one has to work now.

-Angel and Homero come home. Doris is there to take Homero to his room and to tell Angel he has a visitor in the kitchen.

-The visitor is Ana Sofí. She is there to return his keys and to thank him for lending her his place. It is time for her to get with the flow and start her life again. He asks if that means she will be taking over her father's company. Angel informs her that he has a debt with the company that he wants to pay ASAP. She tells him to forget it. He insists on paying his debt. Who should he contact? He also heard that her father sued the Funes company over that debt. Can she find out about that? He would like to come to an agreement and pay off whatever he owes in installments. She questions the "in installments ".

-Misael is angrily heading home when Flavia confronts him about Julia's debt that has not been paid!! Flavia tells him to help her out if he doesn't want to see Julia behind bars. He asks her what is wrong with her. Flavia says what is wrong with her is that he and Julia should be in jail because they do not pay their debts. One of them is just like the other.

-Ester comes by the food truck to eat but also to listen to him. She is all ears. First he will serve her the house specialty.

-Gina decides to stop by Eriks's apartment unannounced. (that is NEVER a good idea in novelas or in real life) She sees a woman leaving the apartment.

-Ana Sofí is still with Angel telling him how life must go on and how everything would be so much easier if they were together. He apologizes saying there can no longer be any kind of romance between them only a friendship. He assures her that she can find somebody who will really make her happy. She says of course but clearly doesn't believe it.

-Julia comes home only to have Misael grab her and demand to know what is going on with her and Angel. She tells him to let her go and tries to get free.

-Ester has listened to Jero about Lenar. She tells him that he is the one who is the least responsible for the situation. He is grateful. He had felt so guilty. He tells her that the most incredible thing that has happened to him since he came back to Mexcio was getting to know her. He doesn't want to stop being near her ever . . . ever. They kiss.

Camino #45 Part 1

An outside aerial shot shows it is a beautiful day, birds chirping as Karen and Daniela chat inside. Karen tells Daniela about the ring and smiles, who would have thought Aaron would have such good taste. Daniela wonders if Aaron was disappointed at her answer. Karen retorts that she isn’t a woman who’s easily caught. Dani rues that marriage is an important decision. Karen needs to be sure when she marries; she also needs to be in love. She asks Daniela what is going on with her and Daniela explains they will be telling Isa that Memo is her biological father. Then she admits that Fausto agreed with one provision: she cannot divorce him. Karen shakes her head and tells her friend to open her eyes, Fausto is manipulating her. Dani returns her look and admits she is willing to do anything for her daughter!

Memo has brought Ursula a drink of water as her waterworks continues unabated. She tries to guilt Memo, sobbing that the baby is being affected by the way Memo is treating her. Unbelievably, she accuses Memo of wanting the baby to die so he can go running to “that woman”! Memo tries to soothe her and assures her he doesn’t want anything bad to happen to their baby. He shakes his head and states the obvious: they can’t continue like this. Question: Does Viewerville feel there is a definitive answer as to if Ursula was truly in (physical) pain? Your recapper suspects the answer is no, but considering everything that happened tonight, is going to hedge her bet.

Daniela cries that her meeting with Memo was not only disastrous but a scandal when Ursula showed up. Karen relates that Ursula knows how Memo feels about Daniela. Daniela insists that Isa is the only thing uniting her with Memo. She swears she has tried to expunge Memo from her heart but she can’t! She loves him more with each passing day. Karen smiles wickedly above Daniela’s bent head.

Memo is still trying to placate Ursula; what can he do to make her feel better? He wants to get her medical attention. She wants him to hug her. He lies down on the bed next to her and obliges. His facial expression leaves no doubt he is worried sick. He kisses her forehead and gently pats her arm.

Elsewhere, Karen is stroking Dani’s hair, urging her friend to fight for Memo. Daniela says Memo is a wonderful man but his place is with his wife and that is where he needs to be. Karen shrugs in frustration.

When Ursula tells Memo she needs to cry, Memo encourages her to do just that. Ursula tells him that when she found out that she was pregnant, she thought about Isa and how happy she would be to have a brother to play with (liar the patio mutters unsympathetically).When Isa finds out that Memo is her father and that she will have a brother, she will be very happy…even though Memo isn’t. Looking like a deer in the headlights, Memo assures her that he loves her and he is happy that she is having his baby…they will be a family.

Isa sits cuddled in her huge teddy bear’s arms, talking on the phone with Chema. She has a great idea. If he helps her, they might be able to find her biological father. You are loco Chema says smiling. Isa goes on to say that she might even have a brother! At this, Chema looks serious and cocks his head.

At night, Isa is in tears in her dark room, praying that her parents can find her father. Simultaneously, Chema is at his desk praying that Isa finds her real father.

Dumb and Dumber (for the story’s purposes, Cesar and Macario) are plotting against Memo. Macario offers that Memo is taking a trip the next day. Macario goes into the briefcase containing the money Fausto gave Cesar and helps himself until Cesar objects.

Camino #45 Part 2

Eugenio calls Amparo who is genuinely happy to hear from him; what a surprise she effuses. Eugenio asks if Amparo could be ready to present her book tomorrow night at her restaurant; he suggests she serve one of her dishes. Amparo is worried that they may not like her food but Eugenio promises her that they will. It will be a huge success.

Isa, wearing a sweet pearl headband, is at school hanging handmade crayon signs on trees; trying to find her father. A mean boy rips down a sign and taunts her for being adopted. She says she has two fathers yet the boys circle her cruelly mocking her. The teacher arrives and Isa explains she is being bullied. The boys cover their mouths, knowing they are in trouble!

From the schoolyard to the Board Room. Eugenio, Aaron, Karen and two other men are meeting. Karen asks what is holding up the contract signing and Aaron explains he is reading it (good for him). Fausto darkens the door and looks angry as usual, asking why they are meeting without him. Karen explains that Aaron has just become a shareholder!

When questioned by the school’s director, Chema says he was posting the papers to help his friend. The director gently admonishes him saying school isn’t the right place. However, Amparo tells him he is noble and she is proud of what he is doing. She asks only that he talk to her first the next time.

Dani gently tells Isabela that school is not the appropriate place to search for her father. Isa cries the kids were making fun of her for being adopted. Daniela consoles her and tells her there is nothing wrong with being adopted, urging her not to be sad.

The next day, as Memo is preparing to leave, Ursula grabs him and gives him “the stare”. She invades his personal space, questioning if he is really going to work or is he lying. Memo assures her he is going to work, the baby is going to need a lot of things. He tells her he does need to talk to Dani and Ursula demands he call her now and put the phone on speaker. “Hola Memo” Daniela answers. Are you all right she asks and then inquires if he smoothed things over with his wife. He assures her everything is fine but he is in a hurry. He says they can count on him if they want to go to the psychologist to talk about Isa. Dani agrees he should go. Ursula is somewhat mollified and Memo leaves.

Karen and Fausto are kissing a bit as Eugenio proposes a toast to their new associate. Fausto thinks the committee should have approved the selling of the shares but Eugenio informs him he has the right to sell shares on his own. Fausto then finds out Aaron bought 11% of the shares and his frown deepens. All except Fausto clink their glasses..

Leo talks to Humberto and Memo outside the restaurant. Humberto offers that Leo make the delivery but Memo says he needs some time to relax. Memo fills them in on the good news that Isa will be told Memo is her father and all three join to give a rousing “Santos” cheer! In the meantime, Cesar is crawling behind the trailer Memo will be delivering and unseen, enters the trailer. Memo then walks back, secures the doors and enters the cab. Next we see Macario on a motorcycle poised to tag along. On the road, music plays as Memo smilingly recalls sharing the cab with Daniela, Isabela and several free-standing plants as Isa asks Dani to take a picture. We see some Evil Knievel fancy dancy motorcycle daredevil moves, supposedly from Macario. During the ride, Cesar crouches among the pallets, loading his gun, kissing the bullets for good luck (he should have kissed them harder I venture).

Camino #45 Part 3

Close the door Fausto tells Aaron tersely. Fausto asks where Aaron got the money. Aaron tells him it was his savings but Fausto (rightly) guesses that Karen gave him the money. Aaron says that although Karen hasn’t agreed to marry him, being a shareholder is a huge step forward. Aaron rubs it in that he has more shares and power than Fausto.

Amparo calls Chuchita and asks if she has a dress she can borrow. Chuchita is excited and says she certainly does and asks if anyone asks who designed it to tell them it was her.

Eugenio thinks Karen’s mother would be proud to know she is getting married. Karen reminds him she hasn’t said yes. Eugenio encourages her to accept because being alone is not easy.

Memo arrives at his destination as he alights with his paperwork for the load, greeting a worker. We see Macario has arrived as well. Memo offers to unload the cargo. As Memo opens the rear door of the trailer, Cesar pulls the mask down over his head. As Memo appears, Cesar has a clear sightline as he cocks the gun and fires! Memo drops his phone, falling backwards out of the truck and onto the pavement!

Not to be bested, Fausto relishes telling Aaron that when he gets his inheritance HE will be the major shareholder and even Eugenio will have to kiss the ground he walks on. Aaron points out that he must wait till the bastard becomes of age. Fausto tells him he can keep 5% of the shares and he will give him the rest. Aaron asks why he would do that. Fausto reminds him that Karen’s mother was on the plane with his parents…Karen would not want to marry the man who murdered her mother! Aaron points out that Fausto would lose more. Fausto tells him he would rather rot in jail than have Aaron have possession of more shares. Fausto then tells Aaron that he will stay with 2%…and Fausto will have 19. Aaron can stay with Karen and they will remain business associates.

Cesar runs to the back of the trailer but Memo is gone, the phone laying on the pavement!

We see Memo has been shot in the shoulder (apparently Cesar is a very bad shot). Memo is under the truck as Cesar rounds it. Cesar rolls under the truck but Memo is faster and is already running away…Cesar shoots again…

Ursula sees the briefcase of money that Fausto gave Cesar. She wonders if Cesar robbed a bank.

Memo tries to get into the building but the first entrance is locked. He finally gets inside and when Cesar arrives, Macario silently motions Cesar to go in. Cesar breaks a plate glass window and at that precise moment, we see a troubled look come over Dani’s face as she says “Memo” and drops her glass.

Camino #45 Part 4

Cesar is going to shoot Memo dead when miraculously, a chard of glass falls from the ceiling, stabbing him in the neck.

Macario, sensing things are out of control (not fully realizing how much) mutters “primero mis dientes que mis parientes (first my teeth rather than my relatives)” (thank you Rgv Chick), puts on his helmet and drives off.

Memo walks over and asks, “are you all right?” There is no answer and as he lifts the mask he sees Cesar and calls his name. Cesar leaves this life (surely bound for the fires of hell). Workers finally appear and ask what happened. Memo is in shock as blood stains his hands.

Dani frantically calls Memo; answer me she pleads but the phone is on the ground and no one answers.

Fausto continues to turn and toss the tables on Aaron. First, Fausto tries to choke Aaron and then he throws a drink in his face. Fausto tells Aaron that he will continue to be a faithful dog. Just as he gave him Karen, he can just as easily take her away. He warns that his life Insurance is the same as his…if he falls so does Aaron. He tells Aaron to shut the door on the way out.

Aaron passes Karen in the hall. She surmises Fausto is not a happy camper and calls him an imbecile. Aaron tells her he and Fausto came to an agreement. She smiles that they will tear Fausto into pieces. Aaron shuts the door and tries to compose himself. He puts his head on the desk and shakes with anger and fury. Aaron whispers that he will be Fausto’s faithful dog but Fausto better not think that he has won. The next time, he will shoot to kill!!

Camino #45 Part 5 (Last)

Yolanda grabs Grace’s ID and asks where she got it. She is only 15 and she won’t allow her to pretend to be older. Grace wonders if she wants her to follow in her footsteps and hook up with a married man. Grace then tells her she went to look for a job…with Amparo!

A rather subdued and guilty Macario comes in and Ursula asks him to explain the money. He tells her it belongs to her first husband. Macario (unaware Cesar is dead) tells her Cesar is into something big…he even had a gun and was asking about Fausto.

Yolanda thinks Grace is crazy to work for Amparo. Grace tells her she thinks that man is lying about not leaving his wife because of the land…. she wants to find out the truth. Yolanda is certain Macario will get mad but Grace isn’t deterred in the least.

Ursula wants to know what Cesar is up to. Macario lies assuring her Cesar hadn’t confided in him. Ursula warns he better not turn into Cesar’s accomplice and go back to jail. He tells her that is something she should not say out loud…none of the Santos know that he was in prison for fraud (which the patio has long wondered). Ursula needs to know what Cesar is up to because Cesar and Fausto teaming up together is something to be worried about!

Back at the scene of the crime, Cesar is taken away in a black body bag…

Tonight was shocking. I never expected Cesar to die. Well, at least not so soon.

Fausto masterfully turning the tables was also surprising. I had thought Aaron would best him; but it was not to be. At least not now.

Can't wait to hear what everyone thought of tonight's on the edge of the seat action!

I tend to think Ursula's pains were real. Since we didn't have the moment where she turned her back and wicked smiled or the suddenly relaxing when alone I'm guessing it was a precursor of things to come.

I was SHOCKED when Cesar died!!! I was trying to remember the last time a novela SHOCKED me and I couldn't come up with one. They are usually fairly predictable but I didn't see that coming!!! Cesar was involved in too many pending plotlines I couldn't imagine they would kill him off now.

I'm guessing Aaron is down but not out, but yeah it was def disappointing to see Fausto win a round!

Isa and Chema thinking they could look for Isa's father by hanging posters at school was adorable!!!

Did Lenar mean her family as in her and their kids or her extended family when she said her family had problems? What problems? Does Braulio just love pissing Misael? Why would he tell him something he has no idea about? FLavia is crazy if she thinks Maximo will agree to give everything to Teo and leave nothing to his grandson. How did she manage to have a relationship at all? Was Maximo so miserable with Ester thatFlavia being so intense didn't bother him? But then again, miserable people manage to even have decent people around them so maybe it's a pointless question.

Honestly, I don’t know where to start.

Your capturing Misael and Julia’s early scene as “vomitable” was precisely right. Julia’s silence is incomprehensible. He was physically abusing her at the end, where is her righteous indignation? Will she find her voice before it’s too late?

When Rayo called Homero “papa” I totally lost it. Their time together will not be long; it is just so unfair.

I like the fact that Jeronimo and Lenar are coming to terms with their unfinished business. In truth, Jero did abandon Lenar, at least by the lack of his physical presence. He did not stop to consider the consequences. I think his reappearance and seeing (again) the man that he is made Lenar’s love for him resurface. But Donato deserved more than to be suddenly cast aside…

Braulio’s plans to be revealed as the new owner of the company are now clear.

Ester makes a few tentative steps forward…I had to shake my head though at how quickly she cut Maximo off. She certainly has no problem saying what she feels without softening or censoring it.

“Chilo leaves and Mati is left scared alone in the dark” - as well she should.dd

Gina and Erik have no spark much to my disappointment. He clearly loathes her “influencer” role and seems to dictate when they see each other. Not feeling it. I have a good idea as to who the “blonde” leaving the apartment was though 😊

And finally, my favorite mystery – Sergio. “Mirna tells Doris all about Sergio, Doris says not to worry. Sergio is a good and brave man”. Sergio is the one who brought Doris into the house. I was highly suspicious thinking she was going to be his spy (or worse), but as far as I’ve seen, Doris seems legit and a good person. Now, Sergio purports to be in trouble (?). Is he going to try and shake Mirna down?

Diana, I think I know who the blonde was, too. It would fit with Erik’s refusal to have Gina over. It also would fit with the Vencer’s series presenting contemporary issues. As for Doris and Sergio, we are on the same page again. Maybe Doris could even be his wife. I do not think that Mirna’s romance will end as she would like. As for Ester, at least everyone knows where she stands which us a good thing.

I can’t wait until tonight!

And I agree, Fausto turning the tables on Aaron was also surprising. What will Karen do when she finds out Aaron is giving 9% of his shares to Fausto??? And how will Aaron explain that to Eugenio?? But we did learn (or at least I did) that Eugenio's wide died along with Fausto's parents. Eugenio blaming himself for her death makes a bit more sense now. Did he, for some reason, insist that she take the trip??? I'd still like more details...

Misael is just plain cruel. To make Julia think her son is missing. He seems to just use Danny to manipulate Julia. Hopefully his getting almost violent with her will be the last straw. Why would Braulio tell him something that wasn’t true. They are both cruel men but I think Braulio is the crueler. When he becomes the owner of the company how is he going to explain it? Surely Celeste will know he cheated Angel out of his company.

Flavia and Max talking about the property division is worrisome. Didn’t he turn over power of attorney to her. So she controls the property. She’s apparently been planning to divorce him for a while.

Two of you think you know who the blond is. I have no idea but thought it looked like a female impersonator!

Hoping we’ll get a romance started between Ester and Jero!

Homero was a lousy husband, but he was wonderful with Rayo as a father at their first meeting.

Mati is (rightfully) scared. I want to see how Rayo, now fortified by a brother and father who have her back, will deal with Mati now.

Yay! Jero finally gets a kiss with Ester.

Count me in on the “shocked at Cesar’s death” group! There were several story lines involving him. Is Ursula now legally married to Memo as she is a widow. Or since she married while still married does that make the marriage invalid. I’m hoping, and I think, it’s the latter. I want Memo to get out of this marriage easily. But now there’s also not going to be a reason to DNA the baby. Cesar really messed up a lot by dying. But I guess the writers know what they’re doing.

I hated that Fausto got the best of Aaron. And how will they explain the change in ownership. Aaron just gives them to Fausto for some reason.

Tonight should be interesting. We may have the discussion of why Cesar tried to kill Memo, and also Amparo’s book! And Grace, the new waitress. And it will be interesting to see Ursula’s reaction to Cesar’s death. And trying to kill Memo. Although things move slowly in telenovela land!

What awesome and very pertinent questions!! I think Ursula and Cesar's valid marriage means she is technically a widow. Her marriage to Memo wasn't legal when they "tied the knot" so to speak and I don't think Cesar dying would make it so now. She would have to marry Memo now for it to be legal. I venture to say that probably won't happen but after what's gone on, who the heck knows?? :)

I think Aaron gave his shares to Fausto only as Fausto threatened to tell Karen he was responsible for her mother's death. We know that Aaron caused the plane crash that killed Fausto's parents (at his request). I don't think we know if they were aware Karen's mother would also be on the plane. Eugenio feels very guilty about his wife's death and it just occurred to me that she may have taken his place at the last minute? Getting rid of Eugenio AND his parents would have been a bonus for Fausto. Pure supposition on my part.

Misael had better end up in prison or the morgue at the end of this. He is pure trash. I also can't see him becoming a music sensation. He has no charisma and he is a misogynist.

Am I the only one who saw him steal food off of Gina's plate?

If any man ever referred to me as a "vieja" I'd kick him in the bazanzas, which Julia is likely too afraid to do.

I just looked it up: There is no debtors' prison in Mexico. Flavia is either delusional and/or just plain cruel. She also has no right to dictate Maximo's will with regard to his children.

I think we can expect Homero to be alive in the finale. He now has a reason to live.

Chilo could be Mati's Karmageddon.

That most likely was a cross-dresser or a transwoman Gina saw, but that doesn't mean that Erik is other than hetero. What I think is the case is that he is turned off by her self-makeover into an Ana Sofi clone.

I guess we are all shocked at Cesar's death; for all his amorality he was amusing. Will the shock cause Ursula to miscarry? If so, will she bribe the same doctor to conceal that?

Of course Memo will have to look into Cesar's motive for wanting him dead.

Fausto will not have the upper hand forever. Remember that Karen is smarter than both of these guys.

I hope Chuchita makes Amparo look like a queen, but I am concerned about Graceless possibly tampering with the food.

You'd think that in the 21st century people would know better about adoption. Those school bullies need a bloody good hiding.

I can see Falso holding Memo at gunpoint, ready to pull the trigger and just to add to his (Memo's) suffering, he spills all about Cesar being Ursula's husband and the real father of her baby. Then ... oops! He misses or something or someone interrupts and he has to get away! Syke!!

Ursula would be the logical person for Memo to ask ask why Cesar tried to kill him as they are supposed to be related. I wonder if she will plead ignorance or if she and Macario will concoct some grand lie. Also, no one knew Macario was there, except for Cesar. Fausto will of course put two and two together immediately. I think Amparo will find Cesar's death resulting from trying to kill her brother very suspicious. If Memo doesn't grill Ursula, I am sure she will.

As to the issue about the marriage, I do not think Ursula is off the hook. The inquest could reveal that Cesar was married to her and that there is no record of a divorce. She will have a lot of explaining to do so this could bite her on her culo.

Will Fausto try to get that money back? That could bite his.

At the very least Fausto is likely to end up flat broke at the end.
