CAMINO Ep 53 Part 1

We start the week with Mac the rat hearing Lupita's and Gaby's voices. the rat is cornered in Yo’s bedroom, looking to see where he can hide. At the entrance of the apartment, Lupita thinks they should leave, but Gaby tells her not to be a party pooper.

Elsewhere, Monoman tells Star Girl that she needs to go visit him so that they can discuss their secret mission. Stargirl tells him that she will tell her mother to see when she can take her. Karen walks in, so Stargirl tells Monoman that she needs to hang up. When Karen asks who Isa was talking to, Isabela replies that she was talking to Monoman, who is Memo's nephew...he and Memo will help her find her real father. Karen is happy for her and assures her that they will soon find her father. Karen then tells Isa that she’s leaving on a vacation and she asks Isabela to make sure and insist that her mother and father find her real father.

At Grace's house, Gaby asks do use the bathroom so Grace tells her which door to go to, but Gaby gets confused...and she opens Yolanda‘s door! Yolanda seems to be alone as Grace approaches and tells her that she invited some friends over. After Yolanda directs Gaby to the bathroom, she chides Grace for having her friends over. She then looks out the window and throws Mac's things out to the street where he is getting dressed.

Dani offers to take Karen to the airport the next day, but Karen refuses because it’ll be harder to say goodbye. Fausto offers to walk Karen to her car. Once outside, Fausto tells Karen that he hopes she finds what she’s looking for. W hen Karen asks if that’s all he has to say, Fausto thinks that Karen is just putting on a show so that he can beg her to stay. When he tells her that she’s wasting her time, Karen tells him that he is so egocentric, he thinks that everything revolves around him (BINGO!). But in this case he is mistaken; this trip is for her. Fausto continues to berate her telling her that she’s hoping that he tells her that she shouldn’t leave because he loves her, but it’s not gonna happen! Karen tells him that is clear to her, just as it is clear that someday she is going to destroy him. She is glad that he doesn’t care that she’s leaving, because every day that she is away, she’s going to use each day to plan her vengeance. There is nothing more dangerous than the vengeance of a woman like her!

Inside, Dani goes to see Isabela who is still awake because she isn’t sleepy. She is thinking of the super secret mission of the super heroes. Dani asks what the secret mission is so Isabela tells her that star girl, super trucker, and Monoman have the mission of finding her biological father. When she asks Dani, if she will help, Dani assures her that she will. And Dani wants her to remember that she’s not only her mother, she is her friend, and she can always confide in her.

Fausto taunts Karen, telling her that she should save her words to write a book because with those phrases she could have a best seller. When he adds that the title should be "Karen's advice to be the perfect mistress", she takes a full swing and slaps him hard! Fausto tells her that he’ll see her at the office the next day because she doesn’t have the nerve to leave him. He asks her what time her flight is and when she tells him that it’s at 11 o’clock, he tells her that they have a date; he will wait for her at 11 o’clock at their usual hotel. After he adds that they solve their problems best in bed, he forces a kiss on her. Karen then tells him not to wait for her at the hotel, because she’s not gonna go!

 

CAMINO Ep 53 Part 2

Fausto goes inside and sees Dani, who tells him that they have much to talk to, but she is very tired. As she starts up the stairs, Fausto tells her that it hurt him very much that she kissed the trucker, but he doesn’t blame her. He just wants her to promise that it will never happen again. Danny assures him that it won’t happen again. Fausto then tells her that they should follow Karen’s example; they should leave for a couple of week...just them and Isabela. Dani doesn’t think that it’s the right time to leave, but Fausto insists that she at least consider it. Dani concedes and agrees to think about it.

The next day, Karen is surprised to see that her father has prepared a nice breakfast for her since she’s leaving. He asks how long she will be gone, so she tells him that she doesn’t know; she will probably return when she’s ready. Karen is going to look for herself (she won't like what she will find!). She will return renewed...the work at the company has her very tired and she will use the time to think. She wants to get away from Fausto and Aaron. Sebastian thinks she’s being very intense and tells her that leaving to find herself is superficial. When they start arguing, Eugenio asks them to stop fighting. Karen then gives both Sebastian and Eugene a hug.

Memo is getting ready to go see the psychologist. Ursula offers to go, but Memo tells her that this is something he needs to do by himself. He then tells her that he is worried that he might not convince the psychologist that they should tell Isabela that he is her father. Ursula assures him that he is an incredible man...and that he will be a great father to Isabela…and to their baby.

At the restaurant, Gabi gives Memo some coffee to take with him. Memo comments that he found out that she wants to start studying…and he wants to also support her and help pay for her career. After Gabi hugs him in appreciation, she tells him that public relations is really what she wants to do.

Fausto is on the bed (by himself) at the hotel calling Karen and telling her that he is waiting for her. Karen tells him that she’s at the airport and sends him a picture to show him that she is not lying. Fausto then puts on his little act and tells her that she doesn’t want her to leave.

Memo is now with the psychologist. She comments that he is very punctual, and that speaks well of him. She continues that she has heard a lot about him, but she wanted to meet him to form her own opinion. When Memo suspects that Fausto must have said a lot of bad things about him since they don’t get along, the psychologist advises that they should try to get along with each other for Isabela's sake. When Isabela finds out their relation, she wouldn’t want Isabela to feel trapped in the middle of their war.

Still on the phone, Karen tells Fausto that his confession is too late. Fausto then uses his authoritative voice and tells her that she will stay! When Karen tells him that she’s going to stick to her decision, Fausto tells her that he pities her. He doesn’t know what she’s going to go look for, but she is not going to be able to forget him. She loves him; she has told him many times…and this was even before he married his wife. With tear-filled eyes, Karen tells him that he is correct. She fell in love with him way before he married Daniela and it has been too much time wasted. She never thought her destiny would be to be in love with a married man, and be the other woman. She wants to end this; and she will do it. When Fausto tells her that if she gets on the plane, she can forget about him, she replies that she hopes that’s a promise. After Karen hangs up, Fausto spews that she will regret it!


 

CAMINO Ep 53 Part 3

The psychologist asks Memo about his relationship with Isabela. Memo tells her that they love each other very much; being close to Isabella makes him feel like the happiest man on earth. He adores her! The day he first met her, he gave her the flowers that she likes best, and he gave her a telescope so that she could see the stars. Memo continues that one is never ready to be a father. He found out about Isabela on his birthday. Olivia, Isabela’s mother, gave him the best present in his life. Isabela is the most precious jewel he could have. That is why he wants to be close to her and to spend as much time with her as possible, so that she can know that he has his love and his support. His world is much better ever since he found out she existed.

Yolanda is scolding Grace for bringing her friends over. What if they had seen their father! When Yo adds that Mac had to jump out the window, Grace doesn’t care. She doesn’t have to be looking out for that man’s back. Yolanda then tells her that very soon she will go face-to-face with Amparo.

At the restaurant, Mac shows up and tells Amparo that if she is going out with someone, then he also is going out with a friend.

At the psychologist's office, Memo is surprised when Dani walks in. The psychologist tells them that, after talking to Memo, she can see that Memo is concerned about and dedicated to his daughter. When she asks Dani how she feels about Memo being Isabela‘s father, Dani tells her that she is glad that Isabela‘s father has turned out to be such a marvelous man. Memo then thanks Dani for everything she is doing for him and for his daughter. He promises to do everything possible to make sure Isabela doesn’t suffer with all of this. Dani assures him that Isabela won’t suffer; he is a very noble man, and she is sure that he will make a very good father. Memo admits that sometimes he’s afraid; he doesn’t want to fail. He wants to be the best father for Isabela. Danny thinks that he will be …so much so that sometimes she thinks that she would have liked to raise Isabela should with him since the beginning. The psychologist then surprises them by asking if there is something going on between them.

At the restaurant, Mac tells Amparo that if she has a right to go out with someone then he has that right too. When Amparo wonders why he is telling her this, he tells her that he is just telling her in case she hears it as gossip. He turns to leave, but Amparo takes a whiff of the rat's pungent smell and asks if he is doing this just to make her jealous.

Dani assures the psychologist that there is nothing between her and Memo. Memo then shows her his ring and tells her that he is married, and he is expecting another child. Dani adds that the psychologist knows that there are problems between Fausto and her, but they have decided to remain together for Isabela's sake. The psychologist insists that it’s very clear that they love each other and it must not be easy for them. Dani then reminds her that they are there to talk about Isabela; and when Memo asks if she thinks Isabela is ready to know that he is her father, the psychologist does think that she is ready. But the problem is not Isabela, it is they who are not ready to take that step. Her recommendation is that they resolve their feelings; they should keep away from each other to cool things down. When she tells them that they can meet again in a couple of months, Memo thinks that two months is too long, but the psychologist insists that it’s necessary because when Isabela finds out that Memo is her father, their feelings shouldn't get in the way.
 

CAMINO Ep 53 Part 4

At the restaurant, Mac scoffs that Amparo thinks that he is making things up, but Amparo reminds him that it’s not the first time that he would be making something up. When Mac smirks that she might be more interested in him than she pretends, Amparo assures him that she doesn’t care whom he goes out with!

As Mac walks out of the kitchen, he runs into Grace who is just arriving. After Gaby goes to greet Gaby, Gaby tries to introduce Grace to Mac, but he grabs Gaby and hugs and kisses her. A disdainful Grace watches on as Mac continues to be affectionate with Gaby. She tells them that she wishes she had such an affectionate father…there are others who are liars, two-faced and who don’t love their children. (What a heartless a$$ Mac is!)

At the company, Eugenio tells Fausto that he is worried about Karen…it seems that she was running away from something or someone. Fausto reminds Eugenio that he warned him about Aaron…he knew things would turn out badly. After Eugenio leaves, Fausto hopes that Karen never returns…for her own good.

Leo arrives to see Chuchita and gives her some flowers, he is glad hat her bosses are not there because he feels like giving her many smooches. Chuchita reminds him that she is working...but he can help her since she is looking for some documents to enroll in school!

Dani and Memo are now at a restaurant. Dani apologizes for speaking too much in saying that that she would have liked to raise Isabela with him. She thought she was proving some support for him. Memo tries to make her feel better saying that if the psychologist recommends they they wait, then they will wait. Dain tells him that her feelings sometimes take over and when she apologizes, Memo tells her there is no need to apologize...neither of them can help what they feel. It pains him to say that it would be best that they forget what happened between them Dani cries that she truly wishes she could look into his eyes and not feel anything. Memo admits that he d=feels the same way...but they need to bury what they feel for Isabela's well-being. Dani then tells him that Fausto proposed that they take a trip and she is going to accept. Dani gives him details about when and how long the trip will be. When she adds that Fausto wants then to try to resolve their differences and have them be a couple again, Memo reminds her that she doesn't love him. Dani thinks it is her duty...to resolve things with Fausto for the same reason that Memo married Ursula. It is true that she does not love him, but there is affection (really?) and it is waht is best for Isa. Memo then asks if he can spend a day with Isa before they leave and Dani agrees. They then say their final good-bye (but we know it won't be final!)

Leo tells Chuchita that he needs her help with his next song. Chuchita then hears someone enter and runs off.

Amparo shares with Humberto what Mac told her. She cries that she wasn't expecting it. When he asks why she is crying, she assures him that she doesn't care what Mac does...what pains her most is that her marriage failed.
 

CAMINO Ep 53 Part 5

Chuchita sees that Dani is upset and crying...and tries to console her. Dani cries that her immense love for Memo has started to hurt her daughter.

Memo returns and drags into his apartment. Ursula sees that he is upset so he tells her about the psychologist's recommendation. He had so many hopes that Isa would soon call him "father." When Memo adds that he hopes that when the day comes, he hopes he will be a good father, Ursula assures him that he will be a much better father that Fausto (fer sure!). Ursula doesn't understand why they can't tell Isa the truth already; Isa is ready and even asked him to find her father. When Ursula asks if it might be because of what happened between her and the lizard, Memo remains quiet.

Leo lurks in the background as Dani continues crying her heart out to Chuchita. She tells Chuchita that she spoke too much and the psychologist realized that she is totally in love with Memo. It is her fault that the psychologist asked that they wait. Isa was so hopeful about meeting her father. Dani continues to cry that she can't help it...when she sees Memo her heart leaps...she wishes that this were only a dream so that she could wake up, but it isn't...as each day passes, she loves Isa's father more and more! And all of this was heard by an eavesdropping Leo who is left with his eyes wide open!

Ursula chides Memo. He told her she was crazy with jealousy! But even the psychologist saw what he feels for that woman. When she adds that he put his foot in himself...and she is glad so that this can be a lesson for him, Memo apologizes; he doesn't want to hurt her. But he is frantic and swears that he doesn't know what to do. Ursula gets all handsy and tells him that she will help him forget her...and tear Dani out of his heart. Memo is desperate and tells her that he needs her more than ever (and viewerville yells "NOOO!)! Ursula swears that will do everything to help him forget that woman; she will do everything for him...everything!

VENCER LA AUSENCIA #65 Page 1

Notes from the couch . . . just the facts edition

-After Ester slaps Flavia she apologizes but also warns Flavia about making comments like that about her son. Flavia tries to grab her by her hair. Jero breaks them up and leads her away. She tells Jero how "very grateful" she is for his support.

-Misael has left Danny with an ample supply of junk food locked in a rented room all day and into the night. Danny calls him several times to come home but Misael brushes him off. That evening, Misael stops by a club to see if he can get a gig for his band. He gets it and then orders a bottle of mezcal to celebrate with as he eyes some girls. He finally answers one of Julia's calls and tells her that neither he nor Danny want to talk to her. Back at the rented room, Danny tries to make a cup of noodles in the microwave. Something else is also in the microwave and it sparks. Suddenly there is a fire in the microwave.

-Julia has taken the psychic's advice and calls Angel at work for help. AnaS has a hunch that he is meeting Julia and has Misael follow Angel to a café. There they witness Angela and Julia talking. AnaS records them in her phone. Misael wants to bash Angel's face in but AnaS. doesn't let him. Julia and Angel discuss her predicament. She tells him that her big mistake was that she kept putting off getting a divorce and now she is stuck legally because of that and there being no custody agreement. Angel is going to get another lawyer for her and has her tell him everything she can remember about Misael from the time of the accident. He will do all he can to get Danny back to her. He takes notes on his phone. Julia knows that Misael loves his son so she doesn't think he would leave him alone. She goes to see one of Misael's girlfriends to see if Dany is with her but he isn't.

-When Angel sees Misael waiting for AnaS at Funes, he asks Misael if he didn't get the message that he wasn't welcome at Funes. Angel tells him to cool it. AnaS hired him. AnaS tells Angel that that Misael is her driver and bodyguard. Angel tells her that he wants Misael GONE. (lotsa' luck)

-Flavia goes to deliver Jero's cellphone to the food truck. He isn't there so she gives it to Cinthia and chats with her about her custody problems. She tells Cinthia that she had friends in high places and thinks she can help her get custody of her son. The only stipulation is that she cannot tell Jero that she is helping her. Later, she calls somebody at the appropriate office and asks them if they could help her out. If they do, there is a nice job waiting for them at her brother's company. She suggests that the person could lose a file . . . since that happens all the time. The person agrees to do what Flavia asks.

-Ester is told by both Jero and Max that the best way of handling custody of Denis is to talk to Cinthia and come to some sort of an agreement. it seems that she has listened to them because she comes by the food truck to talk to Cinthia. We haven't heard the conversation yet.

-Braulio is getting apoplectic and cracking under the pressure of the outside audit. When he reminds Angel that they just did an audit, Angel tells him it is routine and AnaS tells him basically like tor not, it is happening. Later, he moans again to Angel. Angel says if they bring Arnaldo on as a partner, they will be doing the same thing to his business. Braulio thinks that it is a matter of Angel not being able to say NO to Ana Sofí. Braulio makes a fast call to Arnaldo ,his straw man, that they are going to have to meet ASAP with Angel. Braulio show his anger about the audit to Ester when he complains that she doesn't have his work done and she says the auditors have her working for them. As he leaves in a huff, Ester smiles thinking that Angel's plan must be working. Braulio complains to Celeste on the phone. When he gets home, he talks about them moving and buying all new furniture. Celeste hates to see them waste money. She asks where is he getting so much money from??? He gets belligerent because she is always on him and questioning him. She would like to know why he is always in a bad mood. In a fit of rage, he admits that he did some thing that weren't "right" but he wants her to always remember that he did it all for her.

-Jero has talked to the owner of Catalina's and Erik's apartment and is going to take over the rental. He will allow them to stay if they can take in Cinthia. Catalina thanks him but is unable to stay because of her own self-respect. She is going home to Pachuca. Erik is going with her as moral support. He can work from anywhere. Gina touches base with Erik to ask if there is anything left between them. He is brutally honest and says no. They never really clicked. Physical attraction isn't everything. To be honest, neither is really interested in the other's work which is their passion and so they cannot support each other like a couple should. He thinks it is better to say goodbye in a good way and for each to be left with a good memory of the other. Gina has to agree. They wish each other well and he walks away.

-A visibly depressed Lenar and Donato have reconciled. She has reluctantly agreed to go on a four day vacation with him. She manages to smile. Donato gives Jero the good news and tells him that he will still be buying him out of his half of the house. He can give Jero some more money. Jero says he can use it. He is trying to get a place for a friend to stay. Since Catalina and Erik are moving and the apartment has two bedrooms, Jero offers Cinthia a place to stay.

-Rayo asks her father if her mother ever told him anything about her family. Unfortunately, she never did. Rayo asks her father to play the message that her mother left him when he didn't show up in Laredo. The last time he was going to do it, he had an attack. He agrees and plays it. We hear the voice of Margarita telling Homero that she was at the place they had agreed on. He needed to let her know if he was going be late. She would wait for him and and asked him to come for sure. She needed to tel him something very serious. Rayo is so excited when she realizes that her mother must have been referring to telling her father about her. She and her father hug.

Rgv Chick, your wit, wisdom an humor were the perfect accompaniments to our characters’ journeys down their respective long, dark and twisted roads. Your razor-sharp observations magnificently illuminated and enlightened revealing character, lack thereof as well as love and longing vs. sheer desperation and frustration.

“Karen is going to look for herself (she won't like what she will find!)” was excellent and “Fausto is on the bed (by himself)” had me smiling away.

Was it strength or weakness that caused Karen to leave. Fausto is her obsession, the air that she breathes. Has the energy ebbed from her to the point that she no longer is able to fight against him to be with him? Out of sight will not allow him to play, taunt and manipulate her. How steely her resolve is remains to be seen.

“Olivia, Isabela’s mother, gave him the best present in his life. Isabela is the most precious jewel he could have”. Memo’s love for his daughter is a joy to watch.

Daniela reveals her heart “that sometimes she thinks that she would have liked to raise Isabela should with him since the beginning” and therefore, far too much.

Macario took quite the tumble. I was hoping for a humpty dumpty scenario but he had nary a scratch ☹. “Amparo takes a whiff of the rat's pungent smell and asks if he is doing this just to make her jealous” was marvelous! That said, Rgv Chick, like you I cringed at Macario’s mocking, cruel treatment of Grace.

“Ursula swears that will do everything to help him forget that woman; she will do everything for him...everything!” We’ve no doubt Ursula, no doubt at all. Ack.

Rgv Chick thank you for another outstanding, unforgettable summary!

Jarifa, thank you for your thoughtful, reflective rendition of a(nother) very sobering episode.

Julia continues to stumble…”she tells him that her big mistake was that she kept putting off getting a divorce” was true enough but “Julia knows that Misael loves his son so she doesn't think he would leave him alone” was naive even for her. She is a loving mother but Misael’s bullying should have caused her adrenaline to kick in and fight tooth and nail rather than taking everything he so cruelly is dishing out to her.

Celeste had gone into a somewhat catatonic state being unaware of Braulio’s lies and manipulations. If “She would like to know why he is always in a bad mood. In a fit of rage, he admits that he did some thing that weren't "right" but he wants her to always remember that he did it all for her” doesn’t throw cold water on her and wake her up, I have no hope.

“A visibly depressed Lenar and Donato have reconciled” was perfectly descriptive Jarifa. I have a bad feeling…

“Jero offers Cinthia a place to stay” which should thrill Ester! Flavia tries to get in the middle of a(nother) relationship.

Gina and Erik were never suited for each other but I am glad they ended up friends. I hope Catalina finds peace and happiness.

Thanks, Rgv Chick, for the detailed recap. The two main male characters were really showing their true colors. How someone could treat their own daughter the way he treated Grace is beyond me. And Gaby looked pretty uncomfortable with his hugging and kissing. It was a little over the top.

Fausto was so cruel to Karen. I know she is one of the villains but I did feel sorry for her. If she’s been in love with Fausto since before he married Dani I have to wonder why he married Dani instead of Karen. I wonder if it was to please his parents. But everything he does is about him, so he had some reason. He’s incapable of love. I hope Karen does get over him. I really didn’t think she’d go!

Dani really blew the talk with the physiologist. In two months she needs to not look at Memo and just give facts without feelings!

Poor Memo! He should have made up a reason to tell Ursula. I thought she might figure it out. Can you imagine if she had gone with Memo in that outfit she was wearing! I kept hoping Cesar would appear!

I can’t wait until Mac brings Yolanda around. Won’t the girls know she’s Grace’s mother. JuanPa sure will. That should be fun!

Last night was a real cliffhanger. We know Danny will be saved, but how, and by whom? I should say we’re optimistic that he’ll be saved. Nothing is guaranteed! But this should be the end of Misael’s chance for having his son with him.

I was hoping Catalina and Erik were going to stay. So is Jero going to share the apartment with Cinthia. He needs to get away from Flavia for sure. But he sure is roommate hopping!

Do we know Flavia’s brother? It should be someone in the cast. It’s late to introduce a new character. I guess she is doing this to hurt Ester. My guess would be Braulio, mainly because he approves of Celeste being friends with her. And he thinks he’s going to have a company. But why would they hide their relationship?

It’s great to see Braulio losing his composure. I hope this is the beginning of a downward spiral for him! And Celeste needs to see the writing on the wall!

Not sure why Ana Sofia thinks Misael can help him separate Julia and Angel. So far he’s done everything to drive Julia away from him. I think that’s great! Try to rape your wife, then take your child from her, not the way to woo someone!

I hope Ester and Cinthia work something out. I hadn’t realized Flavia had said something about Ivan to get that slap. She’s as low as you can get without breaking the law.

We should have kept track of all these people bobbing in and out of apartments . I have lost count of how many places Jer has lived . Jer has become in charge of finding people places to live . Maybe he should be in real estate.

Braulio ( Mr. Look What You Made Me Do) is now a cornered rat on a sinking ship. Squeak Squeak. Open your eyes Celeste.

Yes, Julia, not making a decision is often making a decision . Miserable is a dangerous, selfish, conceited , unscrupu!ous guy who now has your son and you don't know where. The fact that you had to check in with " ONE of his girlfriends " should have been tbe first clue that this guy was not a good guy.

Thank you, Diana, for your very generous words :-) And thank you, Liz! There is so much dialogue that I don't have much time to fit in as many sides as I would like to.

Diana, "Was it strength or weakness that caused Karen to leave." I think it was a bit of both plus all the disappointments and thrashings she's gotten from NeFausto. How she has been able to put up with so much is beyond anyone's imagination!

And "Macario took quite the tumble. I was hoping for a humpty dumpty scenario but he had nary a scratch ☹" A broken leg would have been good to see! Or at least he could have been left with a limp "something or other" LOL

Liz, "I have to wonder why he married Dani instead of Karen." Fausto married Dani simply because he wanted HIS inheritance. I know he could have had a child with Karen, but there had to some reason why it had to be Dani whom he married. Maybe his father knew Dani and chose her to be Fausto's wife?? Or maybe Fausto's father knew exacly what kind of woman Karen is and forbade Fausto from marrying her??? I'm sure we'll find out by the end :-)

I think both Memo and Dani messed up in that meeting. Dani may have said too much, but the way they looked at each other was also a big giveaway as to how they feel about each other. And I too doubt that in two months they can set those feelings aside!

I LOVED how Amparo suspected exactly what Mac was up to! She knows him well...but not well enough to know that he has had an "amiga" for over 15 years! ACKK!!

I have a super busy morning at work today so I can only comment quickly but I wanted to add my agreement that how Mac treated Grace was appalling!! What kind of father would do that to his child? He deserves a twice as heavy anvil for taunting her like that!

Not sure I agree that Memo and Dani’s feelings for each other should play a role in whether or not they tell Isa the truth. Isra’s relationship with her dad is separate from whatever goes on between the adults and you can’t change feelings simply by willing them away. Following that logic would the social worker advise them to never tell Isa if their feelings never changed? It doesn’t make much sense to me.

I have to admit I enjoy Flavia getting involved in Sinthia's problems. Maybe it'S because Ester is not one to play fair so it doesn't then feel like one of those 'good guys just turn the other cheek' moments. There's something so weird when you hear someone like Braulio saying 'it's all because of you.' I bet there are quite a few women who would believe this. I hope Celeste is not going to fall for this.
Julia still thinks Misael loves his son? Had he loved Daniel, he wouldn't have used him to hurt her. There's no way this is love. I hate the whole 'loves her/him in his own way' phrase sometimes.

Thanks, Rgv Chick. Fine job. Loved all your snark, especially "It is true that she [Dani] does not love him [Fausto], but there is affection (really?)..." Dani, say it isn't so!

I like the way Grace goes toe to toe with Mac the rat. Mac slobbers and gushes over how hard-working and wonderful Gaby is, unlike kids that are a mess, and Grace counters about dads that are two-faced deadbeats.

Ursula seemed genuinely disappointed for Memo that the psych turned him down. She was on his side and (smartly) even suspected a dirty trick by Fausto. But when she figured out Memo's love for Dani was the problem, uh-oh she went ANGRY/CLINGY.

Amparo held tough in responding to Macario, but she could use some counseling herself.

We hear about Estefania yet again. She must be coming one day (but then Esteban never showed up in La Herencia).

Danny looks like he's in a storage unit. No windows visible in any view we've had of it. He's been alone in there for more than ten hours. SusanLynn, you are on the money. Misael does not love or care for him. He is only using him as a pawn against Julia. We can only hope that the fire department gets there two seconds ago.

Flavia must be stopped. I do not recall seeing her brother or hearing anyone else mention him before. Maybe they have been estranged? To an earlier point, if Braulio were her brother, why would they hide it?

I think Jero's older son is a better match for Gina.

Misael and AnaSofi were taping Angel and Julia together. Maybe Misael is thinking of using the recording to show Julia is unfaithful? If so, there's really nothing incriminating, just a peck, because they are discussing the plight of Danny.

I hate that Cinthia agreed to Flavia's request that she not tell Jero that Flavia will help her. Honestly, Cinthia does not warrant sole custody of Denis right now. She needs some sort of arrangement where she's supervised in caring for him. Will she and Ester get counseling?

Bye, Erik and Catalina. Your storyline should've been deeper and longer. Like when did you two become friends? How did Erik become so enlightened? What's happening with Ariel's business now that he's Catalina? Ariel had a lot of style and flair, but Catalina's clothes are basically bland.

Ebe has been crushing on Gina and has better chemistry with her than Erik did, so maybe things will pick up for Gina.

I love seeing Braulio cornered.

What will Danny do? Call 911? Call Julia?

It's too early for Mac to have been caught with Yo, so he had to have climbed out the window. Hope he fractured something when hitting the pavement. That's not just about his cheating, but his treatment of Grace. His lack of concern for her feelings is truly disgraceful. I am betting that one or more of his other kids will catch him in the act fairly soon.

Better that Leo know about the issues rather than anyone else but there will be a huge risk of eavesdropping by Ursula.

I was not surprised by the kiddie shrink's observation and reaction considering that we are barely over the hump. However she should be aware that children suffer if the parents' marriage isn't functional and this one certainly isn't. Daniela needs to file for divorce.

What doesn't make sense to me is why Fausto married Daniela rather than Karen. Their fathers were close friends and in business together, Or was it that Fausto could more easily dominate Daniela rather than Karen?

Daniela and JuanPa's parents didn't die of natural causes. Should we suspect that Fausto had something to do with that?

What I do not get is that if Lenar can't have Jero and really has buyer's remorse with Donato, why is she going back with Donato? He is too good of a character be used in this way.

Liz, no, we do not know Flavia's bro. I will be surprised if we ever see him. Flavia called Ester crazy because she thought that (Denis ) was her son. (Iván) "We know Danny will be saved, but how, and by whom? " I would love to see Angel and Julia rescue him, then call the police and file child endangerment charges against Misael terminating his brief custody of the boy. I doubt we will be so lucky.

Susanlynn, "Braulio ( Mr. Look What You Made Me Do) is now a cornered rat on a sinking ship. Squeak Squeak. Open your eyes Celeste. "I loved or description especially the "squeak squeak." I do admit I am enjoying seeing Braulio lose it and giving a semi-confession of being up to no good to Ester.

waterlily, Perfect: "Julia still thinks Misael loves his son? Had he loved Daniel, he wouldn't have used him to hurt her. There's no way this is love." I am soooo ready for that plot line to be over.

Urban, Yes!Flavia must be stopped. She acted like she was deranged when she went for Ester's hair and then went on and on about how she was a decent person and didn't know why everyone was against her as Jero led her away.

Niecie, the only thing I will miss about the Erik/Gina relationship is Erik. I liked the fact that we had a relationship that didn't work out because of mere incompatibility or blahness. Too bad that Ebe is waiting in the wings. It would be nice to not have everyone coupled up at the end. The being said, ITA about Ebe having much "better chemistry" with Gina as you noted.

Darcy and Liz, Macario is despicable. Lupita and Gaby's eyes are being opened to the ugly truth Grace sees daily. Niecie, I also admire the way Grace doesn't let him get aways with anything. Sadly, with the parents she has, did Grace ever really have a chance?

"I think both Memo and Dani messed up in that meeting. They are really suffering being apart; just difficult to watch. Sadly, I suspect things won't improve for a while. Ack.

VENCER #66

Notes from the couch . . .

1. Julia has a bad feeling in her heart because of Danny being gone. Chepina thinks that Misael would never leave Danny uncared for. That is what Julia would like to believe but she heard music when he answered. There is just too much she doesn't know.

2. Julia calls Angel. She talked to MIsael but is sure that he wasn't with Danny. Angel says to give him a minute, he thinks he knows somebody who would know where MIsael would go.

3. Danny cannot get out of the locked room as the fire has grown in the microwave. Terrified, he calls his father. (PSA: Too bad he doesn't know how to call the police or fire dept.) (Poor kid doesn't see the windows behind him.) Misael answers and doesn't give Danny a chance to talk once he hears that he is afraid. He raves on about Danny being a little crybaby until Danny inadvertently ends the call. That gets Misael's attention as he wonders if Danny hung up on him. He gets up to leave when the manager says the owner wants to talk to him. Misael might be able to start performing that very night!!!

4. Cinthia sees ester coming to talk to her. Ester says it wasn't because she wanted to. It was only because Jero asked her to. Cinthia apologizes for the way she left her son behind. She had a lot of time to think over things in rehab and she knows all of the mistakes that she made but she needs to keep seeing her son. Ester asks her how she thinks she can just waltz back into their lives as if she didn't do anything in the first place. What does she have to offer her son if she even doesn't even know where she is going to live? Jero informs Ester that he has rented Erik and Cata's old apartment and is renting Cinthia a room. Even though Cinthia lives nearby, Ester doubts that she can be responsible for her son. He needs stability. Jero tries to put in his two cents but Ester shuts him down. This is between her and Cinthia. Ester says the more she sees of her, it is clear that "mothering" is not her thing.

5. At home, Braulio is thanking Celeste for making him his coffee. It is exactly what he needed after the annoying mess he had to deal with today. He apologizes for acting exasperated but he feel so pressured. Celeste wants him to know that she always is there to support him He is concerned about the auditors finding out about a few things he did at the company. He has done the same things at other companies and he only did the same here to make things better for the Funes company. She asks if something bad could happen to him. He doesn't think so, but if it came down to that, would she support him??? When she doesn't answer him on the spot, he gets upset that she would even pause in answering that question. HE IS NOT A CROOK. She says, of course, she would support him since it is nothing illegal and only for the company's own good . . . right? Braulio barely nods.

6. Angel takes AnaS out. She thinks he is ready to give their relationship another go. When she finds out the real reason is needing to find out where Misael is living because it is an emergency concerning Julia, she is no longer smiling.

7. The fire is raging but has remained inside the microwave. The whole room is filled with smoke. Danny is unconscious on the floor.

8. Julia tells Chepina that she wishes she knew who Angel was going to ask for help.

9. Angel calls Julia to tell her that AnaS is going to help them by getting Misael's address.

10. Finally. Misael (moves his A$$) gets back to the room where he left Danny. The fire is now escaping the microwave. He finds Danny on the floor. He quickly extinguishes the fire and opens a window. He tries to get Danny to respond. Nothing happens so he takes him outside and tries to resuscitate him there with CPR. (He even yells for help once. wow!)
 

VENCER PART 2

11. Ester continues to make her case with Cinthia based on stability being the thing that Denis needs more than anything else. . Cinthia makes it clear that she just wants to see him once in a while. That's all. She wants to be able to hold her baby again. Ester finally gives in but Cinthia will have to accept her schedule and her rules. Cinthia doesn't hesitate in saying YES.

12. Cinthia tells Jero that she doesn't know how things will play out with Ester. He thinks it will all work out. Ester needs only a little more time to soften her heart.

13. Misael gives up on the CPR and grabs Danny. He embraces him sobbing and admitting it was all his fault. Danny finally starts coughing and showing signs of life. (UH, maybe he should be taken to the hospital because of smoke inhalation???) He starts to explain what happened with the microwave. Misael admits he never should have left him alone so long.

14. Mirna tells Rayo to get out of the kitchen and go to her room because she is going to use it. Rayo leaves. Sergio calls. Little does Mirna know, he is at a bar. Mirna is so happy to hear from him. She is really there for him. Sergio tells her that she is the only thing keeping him going knowing that she loves him. Mirna asks when he is coming back. She misses him. He hopes it will be soon but he cannot rectify his credit card situation. He needs cash but there is nobody to get it from . . . Mirna asks about the money she sent him. He spent it all on his expenses. There is not much left in her account. If she could only get him more money ASAP. . . She is his only salvation. Could she save him from this mortal danger he is facing? He takes a sip of his mixed drink. It is Mirna to the rescue again and ALWAYS.

15. Ebe and Gina sit and chat. It seems like they are on the same wavelength. They both appreciate honesty in relationships. She is interested in helping him on line with his organ donation drive. She will interview him and post it on her social media. A lot of her followers will probably volunteer. He likes that. They agree that is the way that people communicate these days.

16. Still not having been taken to a doctor, Danny croaks out that he was dialing and dialing Misael and he wasn't answering him. Misael excuses himself that saying it was because he was working. Misael admits it was his fault. Misael adds that now that Danny has learned how microwaves work, this will never happen again. He tells the boy there won't be any bawling about it. Misael answers his phone and it is AnaS. She is in no mood for small talk. She only wants to know where he is living. He asks why she wants to know. She says because she is with Angel.

17. Julia asks Angel if he really trusts Ana S. Angel says she is the person closest to Misael that they know. Rodolfo hopes it works out. Chepina says AnaS reminds her of Teresa from the novela. She scares her. Angel thinks this will also show if AnaS is up to something with Misael. Julia doesn't doubt that.

18. Misael says he needs more time to get out of the rented room before she gives the address to Angel. Danny still looks in pretty rough shape. AnaS can happily do that. She is giving him 5 minutes to get out before she calls Angel. He tells Danny to grab his stuff. They are leaving. Danny asks if his mom is coming for them. Misael tells him real men don't need broads. They are going to another place. Danny doesn't want his mother to be sad. Misael says that broads are always looking for something to bawl about. Men are stronger than women. He tells Danny to get going.
 

VENCER Part 3

19. Mirna calls AnaS telling her that she is the only one who can help her. AnaS says if she is going to ask her for money again the answer is NO right now because she is not in the mood. There are too many things going on in her own life. However, if she wants to talk about it, she can talk to her at the Funes company on Monday, not before. Take it or leave it. She hangs up on Mirna.

20. Danny is in no rush to leave. He misses his mother. Can't they go see her?? Misael asks if he thinks his mother is sad like he is. Danny thins she is. Misael says she isn't at all and shows her a photo of Angel and Julia giving each other a peck before they left the café. Danny is upset they are kissing. Misael says they did it in front of everybody and were not worried that anyone would see. Misael tells him to stop bawling and be a big little man.

21. AnaS finally sends Angel the address. Julian thinks it is best if only she and Rodolfo go to see what is up. Angel looks disappointed but gets it. Chepina tells them to get going already.

22. Doris talks to Mirna about Sergio. Just imagine the trouble he must be in to actually ask her for help!!! He never would ask anyone for anything. Mirna admits to being only confused. Doris tells her to trust Sergio. When this is all over, they will be very happy together. Mirna is so hopeful. Doris says Sergio is the best person she has ever met so it is just killing her that he has to go through something like this. If she only had money, she wouldn't hesitate to help the poor guy. Mirna says he is going to have to wait until Monday when she can talk to AnaS.

23. At the same time, Sergio is working on his next mark at the bar. He gets a text from Doris that Mirna will be getting him the money but not until Monday.

24. The food truck is open for its first night. Jero's sons are there. He makes it clear that it is their first and last night working. They need to be studying. He only needed them for tonight because Cinthia was so inexperienced. Jero sees Cinthia's long face and assures he that things will improve with Ester. She isn't so sure.

25. Julia goes into the rented room alone and finds it abandoned.She is on the phone with her dad. She sees the burned out microwave and tells him there was a fire there. Misael calls her. Julia demands to know where her son is. Misael and Danny are eating at an outdoor food stand as they talk. He knows where she is and compares it to a game of hide and seek with her wanting to know where they are. She does not know why he is treating her this way when she only wants to know where her son is. He brings up her going out with Angel. She insists he has nothing to do with her seeing her son. She wants to talk to her son to make sure he is really well. Danny takes the phone and asks his mother what she wants. He says he is fine because he is with his dad. He will pass her back to him. Misael says now that she knows he is fine, tomorrow they will meet and have a little chat. He warns he that if she comes with anyone else, she will not see Danny. She agrees to do what he tells her. She needs to see Danny. She saw the burned out room and doesn't even want to know what happened there. Misael tells her hogwash, nothing happened.

26. After some questionable guys seem to know Cinthia, Jero expresses his concern that her working nights could lead to her falling back not her old habits. She assures him it won't happen. He worries. She says she learned her lesson.
 

VENCER Part 4

27. Julia tells Angel that when she saw everything burned, she was so afraid that something had happened to Danny. She is hoping that Misael comes through with meeting with her and that she can convince Danny that his place is here with her and not bouncing from one place to another with his father. Angel offers to go with her but to stay far away from the meeting itself so Misael doesn't know that he is there. Juila refuses not wanting to risk anything . Misael says he and Danny would only meet with her alone. She adds if it makes him feel better, her father is going to take her. She is counting the hours until she can see her son.

28. Jero tells Flavia that he is grateful but he really needs his own space so he is moving to Erik and Cata's old apartment. Flavia totally understands. She is going to miss him. She doesn't know why they cannot call each other "tù". He says he hopes she isn't getting the wrong idea. She acts stupid and he prefers not to go down that path. She asks how the sales went last night. It turns out that late night and early morning are really busy times for sales. Flavia thinks maybe they need to move the truck to that zone for day and night sales.

29. Max is happy to hear that Ester and Cinthia have come to an agreement. That is going to be beneficial for Denis. Ester agrees but insists that she is still going to fight for custody of the boy. It is one thing for Cinthia to visit and another for have total control. That is not going to happen. There is a knock on the door and it is Cinthia. She gives Denis a big hug as Ester has to tell her to not squeeze him so hard. He doesn't like that. (REALLY? Cinthia doesn't know how to hug her own child) Max excuses himself as Ester monitors Cinthia's every move with Denis.

30. As Rodolfo tries to hide behind a tree, Misael and Danny meet Julia in the park. She asks why Danny is so skinny and why his clothes could be cleaner. Danny tells her, like a little angry robot, that she shouldn't ask him so many questions because his father takes care of him and treats him well. She asks if he wants to go back with her because they all miss him and the house is empty without him. Misael tells him to tell his mother what he thinks like the little man he is. Danny says he doesn't want to go back with her. He wants to stay with his dad because he makes him feel better.

31. Braulio asks Ester if something is bothering her. She says on the contrary, her MS symptoms have disappeared since she has been pregnant. So now everything is going well. Braulio says except . . Braulio knows that she thinks he is a thief now after what he told her about the audit. She says she doesn't think that but that she is worried about what could happen to him. She suggests that they stay where they are and save their money rather than putting it into a house. Braulio refuses. He tells her not be afraid but to trust him. It is Saturday but he has to go to work because the auditors are there. He has brought her boxes to start packing for the move but asks her to keep it light so she doesn't hurt herself.

32. At the Funes house, Rayo is eating when Angel arrives. She notices he is preoccupied. Doris comes by to let them know that Homero is not feeling well and will not be down for breakfast. She thinks he is just being lethargic. Angel is also supposed to give Rayo the gift her father has for her. Angel gives it to Rayo. It is a laptop. Rayo runs to thank her father.
 

VENCER Part 5

33. Mirna arrives at the table. She thinks they are spending a lot of money on the bastard aka Rayo.. Angel tries to correct her again but gets nowhere. He says that the laptop is a used one from the company. Mirna goes on with her clearly jealous rantings.

34. Ester continues correcting everything that Cinthia does with Denis. Clearly she knows nothing about being a mother. She also tells Cinthia that she is going to have custody of Denis soon and doesn't want Cinthia to call her son Denis anymore because she is going to change his name to Iván. Cinthia admits she might not be the best mother in the world but she has cared for her son by herself for three years and if she calls him Denis that is because his name is Denis. Ester thinks it is time for her to go. She looks like she didn't sleep. Cinthia says she might have worked all night long but she is not too tired to see her son.

35. Julia tells Danny if he wants to stay with his dad, she will respect his decision but she needs to know where they will be living. Misael says they are staying at a vey comfy hotel. After that, he will let her know. Julia tells her son that nothing has changed between them. She will always be his mother and will always love him. She asks Danny who took care of him yesterday. As Danny is going to spill the beans, Misael says he saw that Danny was taken care of. He would never allow him to be unprotected. Danny runs to Julia for a goodbye hug but only after Misael gives him the go ahead. Julia asks that Misael allow her and her family to take care of Danny while he works.

36. Cinthia says goodbye to her son. She will be back another day when she has more time. Ester says fine but Cinthia needs to put herself together a bit better. Cinthia makes a point of saying she will not be buying clothes with her money. She is going to save it if her son really needs it. She leaves. Ester thinks that is all that she needed. She will buy whatever her grandson need.

37. Rayo tells Angel that she thanked her dad for the laptop but he seems to be failing a bit. She wanted to go to the apartment complex but now doesn't want to leave him alone like that. Angel says she can go and he is going to call the doctor to come over and check him out. Rayo has a wild idea. They should take Homero to the apartment complex. Doris immediately says he is not up for it. Angel agrees but he would like to go with Rayo.

38. Cinthia tells Jero her about the bad time Ester gave her. She called her bad dressed and told her she should put herself together better to see her son. Jero says to ignore Ester. The important thing is that she gets to see her son. Cinthia says that her sister is trying to get things right for her with her parents.

40. Flavia is all excited telling Celeste how attentive Jero always is with her. Now they are calling each other"tú". She cannot imagine a man making her feel better about herself at her age. Flavia asks about the boxes. Celeste lies and says they are Brauio's from work. Flavia keeps pestering her until she tells the truth. Just maybe they'll be moving to a house. . . . Flavia is so happy for her. Celeste says they will see. Flavia insists it must be done deal if Braulio is bringing home boxes. Flavia offers to help her with whatever she needs. Celeste wants her to help her get a box down from a shelf in the kitchen.
 

VENCER Part 6

41. As Danny clings to Julia, Misael tells her that he is amazed that all of the old ladies always say that men do not know how to take care of their children and now that he wants to do it, she says NO. He pulls Danny away from her as he tells her that she is ruining her life to be with that vile guy. Julia says she was a fool not to realize what Misael's real intentions were. Just then Rodolfo appears and Danny goes running to him. Misael tells Danny to come with him. Rodolfo says that he is not taking his son anywhere. Rodolfo will not allow him to destroy the boy. Rodolfo wants Danny to decide. Julia says no. Misael grabs Danny back and tells him they want to separate him from his father.

42. Flavia gets the box down. it is filled with a bunch of stuff. Flavia gets a garbage bag for Celeste. Celeste find the keys to the apartment they had before moving to where they are. It was so many years ago.

43. Angel and Rayo are ready to go. Rayo has to go back for her cellphone. When she is going to enter the kitchen, she overhears Doris talking to "someone"(Sergio) about stupid Mirna going to get him all the money he asked her for. He has her right where he wants her.

44. Celeste keeps finding more keys in the box. What are they all for? There is one in particular that she finds interesting.

45. Max has bad news for Ester. the custody process for Dennis has stopped. The digital files disappeared. Ester is frustrated. How could have this happened? Max says they have to start from zero again. What is worse if Cinthia finds out that they do not have custody and that their papers are not in the process, she will have more time to talk action to retain custody of her son. Her family could fight for custody on her behalf and they could deny it to Ester.

46. Julia insists that she and Misael can come up with an arrangement. He has one all ready for her. He will not take Danny if she quits her ridiculous romance with Angel, comes back to him, forgets about the divorce so that they can be the same family under the law that they were before.

VENCER

I was so disappointed that the custody battle with Misael didn’t end tonight. If only somebody other than him had found Danny locked in that rented room with the microwave on fire. I am sooo sick of Julia/Misael conversations.

Anyway, there were enough other entertaining plots to keep me entertained. It seems like Celeste is on to something with that key, but what could it be? A safe deposit box?

What a shock for Ester! Her digital file just disappeared!!!! Here is hoping that Cinthia’s family gives her a run for her money on custody.

Camino #54 Part 1

Leo is still shocked having overheard distraught Daniela’s confession of love for Memo. When Chuchita joins him in Dani’s kitchen, he asks her if everything is all right; she gently tells him he should leave. Leo somberly admits Daniela is suffering because of Memo, and despite being married, Memo is also hurting due to the overwhelming love he has for Daniela.

Macario and Humberto have a man to man talk. Actually, there is only one man present. Humberto asks Macario who he is seeing. Macario wonders if Amparo is sad because of him. Humberto looks at him sharply and wonders if he is just trying to make Amparo jealous. He says no but sputters that if Amparo isn’t going to give him her attention, he will look elsewhere; things have to be equal! Humberto looks grim as Macario bids a hasty buenos tardes and leaves.

Daniela, comforted by sweet and understanding Chuchita, says she feels a bit better. Daniels\a worries that as Memo is Isabela’s father, she will have to see him for the rest of her life. Chuchita takes her hand saying things can change in time. Daniels wonders what will happen if they don’t change. If he is truly the love of her life, how can she live with the situation the way it is? Chuchita promises Daniela she will always be there for her.

Fausto, aka Satan asks his right-hand man Aaron aka Beelzebub if he is ready for their talk with Daniela. Fausto says he can’t kill Memo but he will do the next best thing, be sure that Daniela hates him. Aaron reminds him things can get complicated and get complicated quickly. Fausto sneers that if Aaron did everything that he was supposed to do correctly, all should go well. Aaron turns and says afterward, Fausto must help him get Karen back. Fausto turns and stares, taking great pleasure in revealing that Karen is in Europe! He mockingly throws the fact that Karen cares so little for him, she didn’t even tell him she was leaving! Aaron stares but keeps his feelings buried and does not retort.

Aaron confirms things with Macario are going according to plan. Macario has no idea that the money he’s borrowing is Fausto’s! Fausto gloats that Macario will be in insurmountable debt!! Fausto calls Chuchita in and asks her to tell Daniela he needs to speak with her. He admonishes her that when Daniela arrives, they should not be interrupted.

Grace pilfers a small wad of bill as Eugenio sits with Amparo showing her “Mega Cocina”. And lo and behold, there is Amparo gracing the cover. Grace glares, tapping her ten-inch nails. Eugenio congratulates Amparo, he is so happy for her! She thanks Eugenio and holds his hand which is not unnoticed by Gaby. Gaby beams her approval and tells Amparo she should celebrate her success. She suggests that she go out with Eugenio.

Camino #54 Part 2

Daniela greets Aaron who tells her he is sad as he just found out that Karen left. He then asks Daniela to inform Karen that he will wait for her as long as it takes. Fool. Fausto interrupts this not so touching moment to tell Daniela he didn’t call her to discuss Karen. As Fausto slides the door closed, Daniela is clearly uncomfortable, arms tightly folded. Fausto had an investigation conducted regarding Memo and has asked Aaron to share the results.

Eugenio would like to take Amparo to his favorite restaurant. Gaby gets up and behind Eugenio’s chair, motions and mouths to her mother to go!

Grace can’t wait to tell Macario the gossip. She gloats that she hears everything said behind his back.

Daniela’s unhappiness about the investigation is exacerbated by having Aaron present. I am the sole of discretion Aaron assures her, which clearly doesn’t. Daniela tells Fausto he shouldn’t have investigated Memo and seems poised for flight when Fausto grabs her arm and tells her to stay. Like the cat that ate the canary, Fausto argues that he would never allow Memo or any man into Isabela’s life without knowing who he really is. Dani doesn’t care what they found! Fausto admits that they didn’t find anything illegal…but they also investigated Olivia, who was in prison! He relates Memo abandoned Olivia when she had cancer after he lied to her, having her believe her baby died after birth. Daniela’s face mirrors her shock and disbelief.

Gaby tries to accept Eugenio’s invitation on Amparo’s behalf but Eugenio says it’s up to Amparo. Gaby works on her mother until she agrees. Eugenio smiles and gets while the going is good. Gaby tells Amparo that she insisted on her going out because she is tired of seeing her cry because of her father; she wants to see her happy. Grace stares stonily.

Daniela is going through the report, still confused and bewildered as ominous music plays.

Ursula is looking at the picture of Olivia and Memo. Cesar’s all too real ghost appears before her and comments that the girl is pretty. He asks if she wonders if Memo thinks about her just like she thinks about him. She starts screaming when Memo (who has quietly entered) puts his arm on her. He asks what she is doing with the picture. She reminds him they met right after he broke up with her. He couldn’t get her out of his heart but she helped him and she will do the same thing now. She will help him get that woman out of his heart. He looks confused and concerned as she hugs him and sobs.

Camino #54 Part 3

Daniela thinks there must be some kind of explanation. Fausto denies it of course and continues to feed her lies. Daniela reminds him she read the letter Olivia wrote but Fausto spews his poison saying Memo could have written the letter himself. Aaron then shows her all the false evidence. Fausto invites her to confirm it herself..

Fausto’s verbal assault and condemnation of Memo is relentless. Dani refuses to believe Fausto who continues to make Memo out to be a liar who was seducing her while he was with Ursula. Dani cries that if this is the truth, their daughter will never find out! Right on cue, Isabela comes in asking what it is she can’t know. Daniela immediately deflects asking Daniela how her visit with Sofi was. She relates Sofi is sad as she misses her father. Isabela asks that they never separate, which Fausto assures her; they will always be together. When Isa persists in knowing what they were discussing, Daniela tells her it was a surprise; her father wants to take them on vacation. Isa is delighted and dances and sings.

Memo calls Daniela who is sitting crying the report in her hands. She reluctantly answers only to hear Memo thanking her for everything she has done for Isabela. She hangs up abruptly. Leo arrives and Memo tells him Dani was very curt with him. Leo assures him Daniela is deeply in love with him and all Memo is doing is hurting her.

JuanPa gifts Gaby with the tablet she wanted for her classes. Sebastian and Lupita are also there who smile away as Grace glares.

Memo assures Leo that there is nothing between them. Daniela is crazy about you Leo relates, his voice shaking with emotion. He reminds Memo he is married to Ursula and asks why he is calling Daniela. Memo defends himself saying Daniela is the mother of his child and he has to keep in touch because of Isa.

Macario is not happy with Gaby encouraging Amparo to go out with Eugenio, going so far as to call her “Gabriela”, pointing his finger in her face. As he hits his fists together he asks Gaby why she is betraying him. Her rant (provided by our Rgv Chick) is:

I betrayed you? Papa I always admired you! I defended you from everyone from everything because I did not see my mother. She was the one who scolded us; the one who set the rules; and you, you gave into whatever I wanted but now I see her. I see how tired she gets after working every day all day long. She breaks her back while you go gambling. Furthermore, she always has a word of support or a loving touch for her family. I have found out that my mom is a great woman. She’s dedicated to her family, her values, and her work. She’s generous, and she never asks for anything for herself; and because of all of that, you have no idea how proud I am of being her daughter. I want her to be happy and it hurts me that it won’t be at your side. I accept it; and you should do the same. You should at least not blame her because it was you who dedicated yourself to losing her!

Camino #54 Part 4

After her hair wash, Isa tells her mother everyone clapped for her because of the poem she wrote and presented to the class. She recited the poem about her mother up in the stars…who will help her find her real father. Isa asks when she will meet her father so Dani tells her it will take some time. Dani then tells her that they will go on a vacation to her favorite place…the beach!

Sebastian and Lupita and JuanPa and Gaby are in the restaurant planning to go out when Lupita leaves to change. Grace follows her out spewing her jealous poison that Lupita needs to know it was Gaby who convinced her mother to go out with the man that comes and sees her. And the date will be a romantic one!

Lupita sees Amparo and asks if things are getting serious between her and Eugenio. Amparo smiles assuring her daughter they are just friends. Rather petulantly, Lupita asks if she has already forgotten her father. Amparo tells her Macario is seeing someone too. Lupita stammers that it isn’t true but Amparo relates Macario told her himself. Gaby comes in telling Amparo how pretty she looks. Lupita stomps out and Amparo tells Gaby they need to be more understanding of Lupita because she is having a difficult time accepting everything. She then tells Gaby Macario is going out with another woman.

Lupita confronts Macario, demanding to know if he has another woman. Answer me!

Any pleasure or excitement Amparo felt about her dinner has now diminished. Amparo tells Eugenio she can’t go out after all.

Macario’s explanations are clearly a lie and Lupita tells him that he has disappointed her once again. Lupita he calls out after her, his hand to his head. But she is gone.

Chuchita asks what Fausto said but Dani tells her it is a very sensitive subject and offers nothing further.

Chuchita tells Leo she can’t go and see his video; Daniela is very sad and she doesn’t want to leave her.

Camino #54 Part 5 (Last)

I’m so sorry we only ended up having water Amparo tells Eugenio. Always the gentleman, he kisses her hand as Grace’s eyes almost pop out of her head. He states sincerely that he doesn’t want her to have problems with her daughters. When things are calmer, they can go out.

Lupita cries to Sebastian that Macario has another woman. She hoped her parents would grow old together but they are both seeing others. Sebastian pragmatically tells her it is normal for people to move forward when things change. Lupita belies in eternal love but it seems Sebastian doesn’t! Sebastian smiles and reminds her they are like penguins whose love lasts forever. Now, he does believe in eternal love and that they will grow old together.

Gaby tells her mother she should have gone out with Eugenio. Amparo tells her it isn’t that simple. Lupita is suffering and her children are the most important thing to her. Gaby wonders when her mother will think of herself; Amparo deserves to be happy! Gaby comments that before her mother met Eugenio, her eyes would not shine as they do when she looks at him. Lupita joins them and also says she should have gone out with Eugenio! Lupita asks Amparo not to worry, she needs to accept that she and her father are no longer together. She deserves to be happy! She touchingly relates Amparo is the best mother in the world and if Gaby supports her, she will support her too!

Dani is in bed with the report. Her face contorted with grief; Dani asks “who are you Memo?” She needs to get to the bottom of this. She needs to protect her daughter and she will not stop until she knows the whole truth.

Gaby comes into the restaurant excited as it’s her first day of school. She wonders if Amparo has called to tell Eugenio she and Lupita have no problem with her going out with him. Amparo pointedly ignores her, giving her lunch money. She won’t need money for the bus since she has a ride. JuanPa comes in as Amparo blesses Gaby and tells him to take care of her. Grace pouts through the glass.

Yolanda shows up at Macario’s. He is anxious but she assures him no one saw her. Macario tells her about his daughter encouraging his wife to go out with Eugenio. Yolanda adds fuel to the fire telling him his family is always turning their back on him. She asks if he followed her advice and he answers affirmatively but admitted Amparo didn’t believe him. Yolanda thinks that Amparo is way too sure of herself.

Following her instincts and her quest for the truth, Daniela has journeyed to jail. A woman prisoner shooting sly sideward looks at Daniela, is brought into the waiting area. Daniela first thanks her for agreeing to speak with her. Next, she says she wishes to ask her about her former cellmate, Olivia Lugo.

I also was waiting for a trip to the hospital for Danny. Smoke inhalation is nothing to fool around with. And now we know why he filmed Julia and Angel. To add more wounds to poor Danny. I have a feeling Julia is going to go back to him to be with her son!

So now Rayo knows Doris is working with someone to get money from Mirna. I hope she tells Angel, but I don’t think Mirna will believe him. Especially if the news is coming from Rayo. Mirna apparently now has no money! Rayo has never trusted Doris, and rightly so.

Ester really is a control freak. I can’t believe Jerónimo might still be interested in her. I’m hoping Cinthia’s parents come through and get custody. Having Ester get custody wouldn’t be good for Cinthia or Denis.

Flavia seems to have convinced herself that she and Jero are an item. I can’t wait to see her bubble burst!

Maybe Eve and Gina can have a trouble free little romance.

So Grace is a thief, in addition to everything else. Her face goes from a smile to a scowl in half a second. I want her caught soon, but fear it will not happen.

Fausto just gets lower and lower. I wonder how much of the report is made up. We know Yolanda was in jail but was Isa’s mother also in jail? In the picture she looks so nice. It seems like she was. Unless Fausto payed off a bunch of people.

I wonder if Amparo would sell all to get Macario out of debt. Hopefully she’ll find out some things about him and be able to refuse to help.

I hope Gaby likes school and does well. Do JuanPa and Dani have money? I thought the gift would be notebooks, not a laptop!

I was startled about Olivia being in jail and afraid I had missed something, e-mailed Rgv Chick who confirmed Olivia was not in jail, another vicious Fausto lie.

I suspect Dani and JuanPa may have family money but I'm not sure. Great question...

Don't think Amparo would sell her land to help out Fausto at this point, although she has a huge heart.

Liz, I also think Julia is headed back to Misael. I cannot take her anymore. Rather than entertaining Misael’s terms, she should be/have been with a lawyer (preferably female to give her more moral support), getting the divorce no matter what he is threatening and moving on to a custody agreement. The long suffering mother act has grown old. Got that of my chest, right? LOL Anyway, as usual, I cannot wait until tonight. ; )

Jarifa, “notes from the couch” is such a misnomer. This was an inspired short story that immersed and thrilled from beginning to end. Just beyond.

I have to admit I laughed out loud at “Misael tells him real men don't need broads”. From the mouths of neanderthals! But on a serious note, I was also dismayed he was Danny’s (who is totally bereft of survivor skills) rescuer. And on an outraged note “Julia tells Danny if he wants to stay with his dad, she will respect his decision”. What?? Danny is a child, she is the mother. I don’t care that she was trying to placate the situation, she shouldn’t have said it.

“Ester says the more she sees of her, it is clear that "mothering" is not her thing”. So far, Ester hasn’t really changed at all. If she and Jero end up together when this concludes, the writers will have to have performed a miracle to get me to buy into that! 😊 “Ester needs only a little more time to soften her heart”. Delusional much Jero?

Misael is a bit long in the tooth to resuscitate a career that never materialized.

Rayo hears something interesting…Finally. Still, I hope Ana Sofi does lend Mirna more money. The more they will both be out.

“She is interested in helping him on line with his organ donation drive” as ominous music plays in my head.

Diana, I loved “Danny is the child and she is the mother.”. Exactly! and another Exactly! to “Misael is a bit long in the tooth. . .” He isn’t exactly at the heart throb age. Ooh, I, also, like your plan on Ana Sofí lending Mirna more dinero. Yes! I didn’t like hearing that Homero wasn’t doing too well.

Urban, somebody already deleted Ester’s custody petition file in this episode and she has to start from scratch leaving the door open for somebody from Cinthia’s family to also file for custody. If you are eagerly waiting for PNP because of Jorge Salinas, I am right there with you.

Fausto's desperation has become surreal. It reminded me of a scene in a past novela where some matronly or elderly woman hired a PI to dig up dirt on someone... or make shit up. Can't remember the title, though.

Daniela should not believe a word of any of this. Here is hoping the inmate has a conscience tonight, but it may be too early in the story for that. Just as it's too early for Macario to get caught with Yolanda.

What will Julia do? I hope she considers that if she lets Misael live with her again, there'd be no way to prosecute if Misael decides to try raping her again.

I know I shouldn't be mad with Danny, but honestly this mind control Misael has over him is driving me crazy. Doesn't Danny at least miss his friends, home cooking, and picking up a phone to call whomever he likes?

Misael key collection! Can't wait to see where this will lead.

Ester was such a pain during Cinthia's visit. I hope Ester's mother visits soon and hounds Ester with her own controlling mama ways.

I agree that Daniela shouldn't believe anything Fausto tells her. I'm always disappointed when someone believes things they are told without listening to their head or their heart. Memo would never, ever do anything like that. I'm hoping Daniela thinks about it a bit more and goes directly to Memo (which likely means that won't happen). He has also never lied to her so...I loathe that Fausto continues to cause so much harm and pain.

I'm looking forward to Macario's downfall...

I actually read the recap first thing this morning as usual but then I got some news so unexpected and surprising I forgot to comment! Lol I got a promotion at work today, one I didn’t expect to be in the running for much less selected - so it’s happy unexpected news this time!

Since I am late to the party most of everything has been commented on by our wonderful patio but I want to say, I am loving Gaby’s character development and maturity her lecture to Max was spot on!!!

I have a bad feeling about Dani’s reaction and believing Falso just because as some have said it’s too early in the novela for smooth sailing. I think we are in for some serious drama, I hope I am wrong!! Falso is diabolical!!!

Celeste finds a bunch of old keys......hmmm...what do they open ??? Hopefully her eyes .

Esther is exhausting Jer, Max, Cinthia, and .....me...mostly me, I think .I am done with her ...except I applaud her unrelenting distrust of Braulio.Stop changing kids' names and being a bossy know it all and get serious about uncovering Braulio and his secrets .

Notes from the couch

JULIA + MISAEL + ANGEL

Julia tries to explain to Misael that they do not have a future together. He reminds her that she got pregnant to make sure she didn't lose him. (beware of what you ask for . . . just sayin') He cannot stand that she is happy without him but with Angel when he is so sad without his family. He will give her a few days to think over his offer. In the meantime, Danny will be staying with him. Julia tells Chepina that she hopes that they find Misael guilty throw him in jail. She sees that as her only way out. She hopes to talk to him again and find some kind of agreement. Chepina asks Julia how she is planning on answering Misael's demand that she go back to him. Chepina says she shouldn't have bothered asking because she knows that Juiia is going to tell him NO. Julianne gives her a sick sad smile.

Angel comes over to the house and Julia brings him up today about Misael and Danny. Angel tells her not to fall into Misael's game but to get that divorce. She says the lawyer said it wouldn't be easy. (So, she isn't up for it? she is just going to roll over because it is easier???) Angel says the family court would decide who is better for Danny to stay with. She doesn't know what to do (really???)

Rodolfo comes out to criticize Julia for having a little romance when there is so much serious stuff going on in her life. She tells her father they are only chatting, nothing else. Angel says he can understand her father and says he is there only to offer his support. They are trying to think of all of the options they have to solve the problem with Misael and Danny.

Misael tells Danny that he cannot believe anything his mother or the family says. They are out to get him because they do not like him. That is why they lie. The both agree that they only want to continue to be a family. His mother is only interested in Angel now because he has lots of money. Misael says that tomorrow he has to go to work. He will not lock him in this time. He will check up on him. He needs to act like a man. Are they men or clowns? (Mexican popular saying) (Somos hombres o payasos? Are we men or clowns?)

Chepina asks Julia why she didn't tell Angel about Misael's ultimatum. Julia says she wanted to keep that to herself because in her mind, Danny comes first. She wants to take her time and be sure of the step she is going to take. Chepina understands that Danny is her priority but she also has to be happy. She reminds her that children are only "on loan." Danny will leave one day and what about her?? Julia doesn't know what to do.

Julia meets with Misael but there is no Danny. Misael is playing hard ball. She easily gives in. He makes it clear that Julia will not see Danny until they are packed up and ready to move to a new location in Mexico as a family.

ESTER + CINTHIA

Ester is upset that nobody can explain how her custody application just disappeared into cyberspace. She wants to know exactly what happened. Max thinks it is better that they just reapply so they do not waste any time. She is worried about Cinthia finding out. Since it is Saturday, they will have to wait until Monday to restart the process. She also doesn't want Jero to know anything about it.

Flavia tells Cinthia the good news. She needs to call her sister or parents so they can start the custody process. Cinthia does feel bad for Ester. Flavia asks if it wouldn't better for her son to be with somebody in HER family. Cinthia agrees. Jero sees them talking and goes to see what they are talking about. Flavia says she just came by to congratulate Cinthia on her great performance on the food truck!!!

Cinthia talks to her sister on the phone and tells her that now things are clear for them to file for custody of Denis. She tells Jero and the crew that rehab has also allowed her to "rehab" her relationship with her sister. Jero says the support of your family is the most important thing. He knows of what he speaks.

Cinthia is visiting with Denis again and thanks Ester for allowing her to come visit. Ester says she cannot deny Dennis contact with his mother. That is his right. She just hopes that Cinthia stays of the drugs she was on.

On Monday, Max goes to refile Ester's petition for custody.

Jero thanks Ester for being so nice to Cinthia. She says she can live with her visiting but not with her having custody of Denis. Cinthia appears and gets a phone call from Flavia. She lies and says it is her sister.

Jero sees Cinthia talking to Flavia again and wonders what is going on. Cintha says that Flavia was telling her how wonderful she was doing at her job and how she supports her.

On Monday, Max goes to see Ester at work. Somebody beat them to the punch. One of Cinthia's relatives has applied for custody of Denis. He adds that since his mother Cinthia is alive the maternal family should have an easy win.

CELESTE + BRAULIO

Celeste is obsessed with the strange key she found.

On Saturday, Braulio finally comes home from another day with the auditors and is happy that tomorrow is Sunday his day of rest. Suddenly, Braulio asks Celeste what is wrong. She says she is thinking of baby names. He doesn't look like he believes her. She suggests that he go and rest. He tells he that they are going to have full-time live in help in the new house so she doesn't have to do anything.

On Monday morning, Celeste and Braulio are all smiles because they had such a good Sunday together. They reminisce about when he gave her the key to the first place they were going to live together. Celeste says she found a box with a whole bunch of keys in it. She wants to show him. He is in no mood to guess what they are for.They can always do that later. They love each other and Braulio leaves. Celeste gets a phone call from her brother Oscar. She needs his help with something. (Oscar to the rescue???)

Rayo hears even more of Doris' conversation with Sergio. Doris says that at this point, Mirna will do absolutely anything that he asks of her, anything!!! She adds that Mirna does't suspect a thing; she is a trusting fool. Angel comes in looking for Rayo and the conversation is cut short.

On her way to meet with her mother's friends, Rayo bumps into Flavia who starts to pressure her about paying her mother's debt to her so as not to sully her mother's name in death. She knows that Rayo is now part of a family that can afford it. She also reminds her that she paid for her mother's funeral. Soon, she will give her a copy of the bill with all of the interest added on, of course. Flavia is sure that her family will support her in paying her back. Rayo tells Celeste who cannot believe it. Rayo sort of thinks she should pay. Celeste tells her to forget about it. She will take care of Flavia. Rayo isn't too sure.

Rayo meets with Teo. Mati has posted his photos online and everyone is making fun out of him and bullying him. They both have had bad experiences with her. Teo says that Mati has been keeping a low profile since the police are looking for her. His father says it doesn't really matter because she is a minor. Rayo thinks she needs to spend some time in the juvenile facility where she was.

Rayo tells Teo about what she heard Doris say about Mirna. What to do? He thinks maybe she misheard. It is probably better to investigate the matter first rather than starting a big mess in the family if it turns out to be nothing.

Angel tells Rayo that Homero will be in the hospital for a week with no visitors. Maybe they can find another medication to help him. Rayo says it isn't fair because she is just starting to get to know him and she is facing the loss of someone again. Angel tries to assure her that she will still have a chance to get to know him better. Angel tells her about the problems Julia is having. Rayo said she heard all about it and feels bad for him having to go through it.

Rayo texts Teo that she was going to tell Angel about Doris' phone call but he was so overwhelmed, she just couldn't do it. Teo says it is better to wait until she can confirm what she heard.

On Monday at breakfast, Mirna stops in and goes out of the kitchen. Rayo asks Doris if she gets along well with Mirna. She says she does. Rayo asks then why she was talking about her so insultingly to someone. Doris doesn't know what she is talking about. She must not have heard right. Rayo says she heard just fine. Doris calls her a brat and tells her to mind her own business and keep her beak shut. Mirna asks why Doris is talking like that to Rayo.

RAYO + CELESTE + ESTER + JULIA

All of the friends notice the moving boxes. Celeste says that Braulio bought a house and they will be moving very soon. Rayo asks where she will be going. There is no answer.(I wonder if Celeste even knows where he bought a house. Is his buying a house sight unseen good enough for her?? Yikes!) Everyone wants to know why she didn't say anything. She didn't know what to say. Ester gets straight to the point and asks where Braulio got enough money to buy a house. Was it from "work"? Celeste says what happens in the office stays in the office, right?? Julia and Rayo feel like they are excluded because they have no idea what they are talking about. Rayo feels the same way.

Ester thinks there are just so many signs that Braulio is into something crooked at work. Of course, she cannot prove it. Celeste refuses to believe it without proof. Julia just holds her head as they argue on and on. Rayo looks like she is watching a tennis match. Julia finally stops them saying they are not there to argue or judge Braulio. Julia says only TIME will tell what the situation is for both of them. There is no other way. She says she has learned that. So many people told her that Misael was a miserable guy but she had to find out for herself and that took TIME. They all suddenly are interested in what has happened. She tells them that Misael took Danny and is keeping him from her. Ester (actually) says that anybody keeping a mother from seeing their child is the worst!! All of the friends give her lots of sympathy. Juia will always love Danny above anything else.

Ester tells them that she is doing everything she can so Dennis stays with her. The friends are upset by her attitude. Cinthia is his mother and they all have made mistakes. Maybe she shouldn't make such negative statement about Cinthia.

As usual, Julia's friends have different views of her predicament. Ester days she cannot allow Misael to rule her life. Celeste says she cannot forget about her son. They start to argue with each other. The topic turns when it becomes clear that Celeste didn't know that Julia was going out with Angel. Why is she the last to know? Julia says Angel has nothing to do with this and they all end up arguing about Braulio and everything else again. Julia finally leaves to meet Angel. Celeste tells Ester she never should have brought up Braulio in front of Julia. She then says she doesn't think it is right to change Denis' name to Iván. Ester won't have anyone telling her what to do with reference to her grandson.

HOMERO

Since Homero seems to be failing, the doctor decides that it would be best to hospitalize him to run some new tests. He will have no visitors at first so they can evaluate him reacting to new stimuli. Angel has to take his father to the hospital and will not be able to go with Rayo to the apartment complex to visit.

BRAULIO + MISAEL

Braulio has called for Misael to meet him in the parking garage. Misael is ready for it all to be over. Braulio says they need to finish what they started. It looks like Misael will be getting out of his legal problems in Matehuala but then again the judge could always be difficult. Misael insists it is all going to work out. Braulio says it he really believes that, he needs to calm down a bit and take care of what they need to do. Misael sees Braulio so relaxed that he is sure that nothing can be going on with him. Braulio says quite the contrary. He has had to put up with the stupid things AnaS is doing a the company but he is not afraid because by adding a new partner Armando Bermejo, everything will be solved. It is his way to get Angel, who has been obstructing him, out of the company. Misael likes to hear that since Angel has been obstructing him, too. Braulio says that neither Homero or Angel ever realized that he used their trucks for his own business. Misael says there is no reason for them to find out now. Braulio has to pat himself the back for being impeccably strategic. Misael knows he infiltrated his own people in the company and didn't get caught. Braulio says that is because he is very organized. With his financial "adjustments" he has been able to make the company have financial problems. Misael laughs thinking that they blamed it all on old Homero. The Funes' family has been distracted by that. He makes it clear that he never did any of this out of avarice. He has done it for the love he has for his wife. He tells Misael that they are going to need the money that he gave him to hide very soon. Braulio warns Misael that if he wants a good life and not to have problems with him, he better fulfill the agreement that they made.

Adair is worried that by Cinthia working nights where the truck is located, she will have a relapse. Jero doesn't think that will happen since she learned her lesson. Adair hopes he is not disappointed.

Gina is all happy about how her channel so growing. Chepina says it is a pity that Gina's fame is having to come from the infamous Mati. She asks her how far she is going to go with this.

Out in public, some girls recognize Mati as the "toxic friend" from Gina's social networks. They say they are going to call the police and tell them who she really is. Mati looks embarrassed and quickly leaves.

Camino #55 Part 1

After thanking the woman prisoner for her time, Daniela introduces herself. She has come to ask some questions about her former cellmate, Olivia Lugo. When Daniela notes she is Olivia’s daughter’s adopted mother, the woman is agitated saying she is mistaken! Olivia only had one child and her daughter died at birth. That serves to confirm Dani’s understanding so she murmurs “so it’s true then; Olivia thought her baby died during birth.” The woman stares and asks her if what she’s told her is true. Dani assures her that it is, the baby lived and she adopted her. The woman says that Olivia needs to hear this, she cries every day for her baby! She declares Olivia’s grief and her illness destroyed her; when she left prison, she was very ill. At that point, Dani gently relates that Olivia is dead.

Sofi and Isabela are having lunch; Isabela shares excitedly that she is going on vacation with her parents. Sofi is happy for her friend but super triste because she doesn’t know if she will be with her mother or her father and his new wife during vacation. Isa wishes that Sofi’s parents were together like hers (as viewerville collectively cringes). Sofi hopes Isa’s parents will stop being angry with each other. Isabela tells her they are no longer fighting. She confides they are sleeping in separate bedrooms which agitates sweet Sofi. She tells her friends to prepare for the worst! After her parents started sleeping in different bedrooms, they ended up divorced!

Although Isa wants desperately to do something to stop her parents from divorcing, Sofi (the voice of the too young to be so experienced) somberly tells her there is nothing she can do. Isa says her friend Chema whose parents aren’t living together, is going through the same thing. Sofi tells her that is the second step. First they sleep apart, then they live separately, and finally they divorce. Isa ponders this and then declares her newfound mission is to make not only her parents but Chema’s parents fall in love again! (Lotsa luck the patio declares grimly) The dear girls fist bump in solidarity.

The inmate shares with Dani that Olivia arrived at the prison shortly after she gave birth. She was constantly crying and Olivia proclaimed she was innocent as she never did what she was accused of. Dani asked who did that? The answer is the one person who lied to her; the one who is to blame for all of Olivia’s misfortune. When she met him, Olivia thought she was living a great love story. He was so affectionate and proclaimed his love. After she told him about their child, he promised her they would marry. But when the child was born, everything changed. When Olivia woke up, she was alone. The man told her the baby died. He left and she never saw the disgraceful man again.

Fausto is sitting in his office with Aaron, remembering and reminiscing about Olivia. Smirking, he relates that he had to pretend he loved her when she was pregnant and to fake being happy planning their wedding which he knew full well would never occur. She was so stupid he states disdainfully and dismissively. Aaron smugly bursts Fausto’s bubble of conceit and arrogance by reminding him Olivia wasn’t THAT stupid as she managed to fool him into thinking the baby was his!

Dani’s conversation continues. Olivia tried to find the man but ended up in prison. She deluded herself thinking he would come to help her. She was like a dog waiting for its owner to return. Olivia found out she had cancer in jail. When she was in pain, she would call out for the man. Poor mujer Daniela comments sympathetically. Then, Daniela’s face mirrors her fear as she asks for the name. The one-word response is “Memo.” When she was feeling the most pain Olivia would cry out to Memo to come for her.

Camino #55 Part 2

Memo pays Fausto a visit declaring he wants to talk father to father. Fausto must know that things didn’t go well with the psychologist. Fausto tells him he will have to wait to tell Isa that he is her father. Memo tells him that he is Isa’s father…and he wants the wait to end. Memo adds that he is not his enemy. Fausto tells him that he came to his house based on lies…and he manipulated his wife! He dares Memo to deny that he kissed his wife!

Amparo brings Humberto his medicine. She confides in her father that she cancelled her dinner with Eugenio because of Lupita. She feels badly Lupita is having such a difficult time with the situation between her and Macario. Although Lupita and Gaby accept things now, she is still confused. She doesn’t know if she still loves Macario or if this should be the end of her marriage (Yes the patio yells in chorus!) Humberto advises she speak with Macario and see if there is any chance to save her marriage. Thank you father she says.

Fausto accuses Memo of being responsible for all the problems in his marriage. Memo asks about Karen but Fausto angrily retorts that Karen means nothing! Karen got tired of begging him and she left; Karen is history. Memo retorts he heard they are going on vacation. As Isa’s father, he has every right to know what she is doing and where she is going. Fausto threatens that if he is interested in Isabela, he better stay away from Daniela. Memo assures him there is nothing between Daniela and him. Fausto’s fury causes him to spit out that if he finds out he and Daniela are amantes, he will take Isabela away from Daniela and neither she nor Memo will ever see Isabela again! Do I make myself clear he yells?

Dani comes home sobbing. Chuchita, deeply concerned asks her what is wrong. Daniela doesn’t answer but continues to stagger up the stairs, beside herself.

Memo angrily retorts that Isabela is his priority and he will do what is right. He defends himself saying he never intended to destroy Fausto’s family. Fausto accuses that he and Karen cosnspired to destroy his marriage…and it is Isa who is suffering because she doesn’t want them to separate.

Fausto’s phone rings and he takes pleasure in answering. It’s Daniela telling Fausto he was right…Guillermo is a monster. He smiles.

Camino #55 Part 3

Aaron crawls into the prison and the prisoner asks why he didn’t tell her that Olivia had died. Aaron replies that he wanted her reactions to be authentic. He makes his point, adding that her family must be very happy with the money she sent them. She tells him she told Dani everything except Fausto’s name. The woman thinks that Fausto must be the devil (and she’d be right). Aaron warns her that if anyone comes to question her, she’d better keep quiet and makes the not so veiled threat that she needs to think of her family’s wellbeing.

Fausto tells Dani that Memo was there and threatened him. Memo suspects that they are close to finding out the truth and warns that Memo could put Isabela in his truck at any moment and spirit her away. Fausto insists they need to leave tomorrow! When they leave, they are leaving for good! Dani argues about leaving so soon but Fausto tells her that she might lose her daughter. Dani agrees. Fausto insists she not tell anyone especially JuanPa as he might tell Gaby. She certainly can’t tell Chuchita because of Leo. He tells her to pack without anyone knowing… that trailero will never see their daughter again! Daniela’s face mirrors her distress..

Sofi tells Isa that Memo is outside the school gate. Isabela runs into his arms. Sofi looks on sweetly. He’s been there before with Daniela’s permission and the guard has no problem with him being there.

Amparo decides that now is as good a time as any to talk with Macario. She quietly enters his room, picking up a glass rimmed with lipstick. She walks toward the closed bedroom door and gently opens it to see Macario and Yolanda IN bed. She closes the door, the image of the coupling duo seared into her brain, thunderstruck. Macario hesitates a moment, thinking he hears something but dismisses it and gets back to (monkey) business. Amparo quietly leaves.

“Super Memo” Isa effuses. He brought her a gift. He will wait with her until Daniela arrives to get her.
Amparo visits Eugenio and apologizes for not calling first. She admits she found Macario with another woman. She relates she felt nothing…not anger or jealousy or hurt. She felt free. If she had any doubts she is now sure that Macario is out of her heart. Eugenio has been wanting to hear those words since the day he met her. He didn’t feel he had the right to tell her about his feelings…he is I love with her!! He kisses her and she returns his ardor, her eyes closed.

Isa wants Memo to take her home in the truck, but Memo tells her again they need to wait for her mother. Isa tells him about her new mission to make her parents fall in love again and sleep together. Making a dramatic entrance, Daniela arrives and screams at Memo to let Isabela go! You aren’t taking my daughter she demands fiercely. Isabela is clearly confused and Memo looks bewildered.

Camino #55 Part 4

Amparo seems to have immediate buyer’s remorse asking Eugenio what did we do! Eugenio tells her they both wanted the kiss. Amparo realizes that and isn’t blaming him but she should leave. Eugenio looks after her with the beginning of a smile turning up the corners of his mouth.

Isa asks her mother what’s wrong. Daniela accuses Memo of taking Isa. Memo calmly tells her the teacher gave him permission to wait with Isa. Dani tells him he can’t be showing up and trying to take her daughter! Memo wants to see Isa open her gift so he can see her smile. He asks Daniela why she is so upset. She tells him they are supposed to maintain their distance. He needs to give her space; he had better not get close to her daughter, he needs to inform her as to what he is doing. Isa rolls down window and they touch their fingertips and do their “double wink”. He looks longingly after them as Daniela drives off.

In his office, Fausto tells Aaron they are leaving the next day and that his wife and daughter will never return! Outside the door a stunned Sebastian tries to process what he just overheard.

Once home, Isa asks Dani was she was so angry with Memo. Daniela explains she cannot leave school with anyone except her and her father. Isa reminds her that Memo has gone for her before and asks if Dani doesn’t trust him any longer. Daniela gives Isabela her present. Isabela is thrilled and loves it.

Memo comes in and sees Amparo upset. Confide in me Memo urges. She tells him Macario was with another woman. She cries she never thought she would kiss anyone other than Macario but tells him about her kiss with Eugenio. At that moment her soul was filled with life! Viewerville smiles happily…

When Chuchita asks Danila about the luggage, Daniela leads her out of earshot. She tells her they are moving to the house in Miami but she needs her discretion. When Chuchita asks why they are leaving, Fausto spits out that it’s none of her business and she’d better not tell anyone in Memo’s family. Dani also pleads that she does not tell Leo; they don’t want Memo to know. She asks that Chuchita trust her…this is only to protect her daughter! Lupita looks unsure and conflicted to say the least.

Camino #55 Part 5 (Last)

Amparo tells Memo she feels guilty because of the children. She worries what they will think if they find out about the kiss (they’ll be thrilled). How are you she asks through her tears. He tells her he is worried as something is amiss. Dani was angry with him and said he has no right to see his daughter without her permission. Just as chilling was the way she said it; with a mixture of fear…and hate.

Daniela tells Fausto that Memo showed up at Isa’s school. Fausto thunders that he could have taken Isabela! He has plotted and planned from the beginning. Everything he has said and done has been carefully calculated just as he did with Isabela’s mother! Daniela says what Memo did to Olivia is monstrous. Fausto continues his tirade against Memo and Daniela agrees, she doesn’t want Memo anywhere near Isa! Fausto will not allow Memo near her or their daughter. JuanPa enters having overheard Fausto say they are leaving tomorrow and asks Daniela if she were going to leave without telling him? He needn’t have bothered asking, Daniela’s face gives her away.

Sebastian immediately goes to see Lupita. She begins by telling him she accepts that her mother goes out with Eugenio. She is going to respect their decision as she takes his hands in hers. He is charmed but has other things on his mind. He informs Lupita and Gaby he has something important to tell them.

Humberto tells Macario that had he knows he was going out with another woman, he would never advised Amparo to talk with him. His grandchildren need to accept the fact he and Amparo are no longer together. Then the declaration we’ve been waiting for (well one of them): Macario needs to find another place to live! Macario tells him he and Amparo are only taking some “time off”. The mealy-mouthed scum (who doesn’t realize he was literally caught in the act) then has to nerve to say he lied about going out with another woman, he only did it to make Amparo jealous!! Macario tells him he needs to tell the truth.

JuanPa wonders how Fausto convinced Dani to leave. Fausto tells him he has every right to make decisions about his family. Dani tells JuanPa she didn’t tell him because she didn’t want him to tell Gaby. Fausto adds that they don’t want “that family” to know that they are leaving. JP argues that Memo is a good man. Fausto tells him that the trailero was going to kidnap Isa!

Gaby is stunned by Sebastian’s statement, crying hysterically how they can take Isa away! Seeing her daughter distraught, Amparo asks what is going on as Memo asks why they are crying!

Thank you Diana, you perfectly captured all the emotions of the evening and weave sweetness where it's needed ie. Isa and Sofi, and disgust where it's otherwise warranted, ie. everything Falso or Mac!

I nodded like crazy on your comment that Sofi is 'the voice too young to be so experienced!' It's so hard to watch those sweet girls be so concerned about something that shouldn't even be on their radar. But so cute/misguided that Isa wants to have an 'operation Parents fall in Love!' Both she and Chema are too young to know and understand their dads are not good people.

Speaking of, I did the happy dance when Mac got caught!!! A horrible thing to have to see, but I am so tired of him getting away with all his lies!

You got the little bit of romance you asked for with Eugenio and Amparo's first kiss!! It was cute and all high school, first crush like! :)

Ugh, Falso's lies work and now Dani is convinced Memo is a monster. If Dani really sat back and thought about it, the story doesn't really make much sense. I mean if Memo lied to Oliva about Isa dying and put her up for adoption, why would he be trying to 'steal' Isa back now? But of course, logic isn't the first place you go to when your emotions are raw and you are shocked and all that. I think Satan is too nice a nickname for Falso!!! I am so tired of him and all his smug entitlement. I think at the end of the show, before he gets his anvil, the whole cast should get to line up and slap him!!! LOL That would be hilarious and well deserved. I hate the way he treats everyone like they are objects that have to bow to his will. Disrespectful little toad!!

Lol I'm getting too worked up this early in the morning! I need to go get some coffee and calm down.

The world is harsh enough when you grow up, yet so many children are exposed to situations and emotions they are not prepared to handle emotionally. Seeing Sofi and Isa's tears was too much. Such sweet souls. I am so relieved they have each other, as do Chema and Isa.

I was a bit surprised but relieved Amparo caught Mac in the act but like you, happy!! Seeing is believing and Amparo's eyes are now wide open. I applauded her maturity as she will mourn her loss but hopefully be strong enough to move on. Her kiss with Eugenio was sweet and warmed my heart!

"Smug entitlement" is the perfect description for Fausto as is "Disrespectful little toad" which had me smiling away. Oooh, if anyone can up with an even worse name than "Satan" I'm all for it!! :)

Thank heavens Sebastian heard the runaway plan and spoke up was exactly right. Tonight should be a thriller!!

Julia really needs to do something to fight for her son and her life. It looks like she won’t see Danny until they are packed and leaving town. She needs to start following Angel’s advice. She is being too wishy-washy. And Danny is still being left alone all day!

Flavia going after Rayo for the money she loaned Margarita, and the funeral costs, was really low. I know she is helping Cinthia in order to hurt Ester, but I bet she’s going to expect more from her. I’m glad Jero got out of her apartment, wish he could buy her out of the food truck. I wonder where she gets all her money that she was able to loan out all that money. I also hate that Cinthia is lying to Jero! He is not going to have a good opinion of women, all the women in his life have taken advantage of him.

I was surprised Mirna intervened and asked why Doris was speaking that way to Rayo. Is it a class thing where the help needs to respect all the family? Or was she thinking Rayo started sassing Doris? After reading your notes I do know why Rayo didn’t tell Angel about the conversation.

The three friends argue so much. They really need to give more support to each other. They’re all hurting and need a true friend.

“Misael laughs thinking that they blamed it all on old Homero”. Oh my, I knew Braulio exacerbated things but I had no idea he was fully the cause of the financial trouble. He is despicable as is his minion Misael.

“(So, she isn't up for it? she is just going to roll over because it is easier???)” Julia is such a disappointment. Perhaps she and the cowardly lion can get together for a shot of courage.

Flavia pressuring Rayo to pay for her mother’s funeral is disgusting. What a shame she got her hands on Cinthia who is reaching out to her for the lifeline she so desperately needs. Ester still wants to change Dennis’ name. Speechless.

I agree that Celeste has never seen her new house and that she has no idea where it is. Speechless.

My favorite scene was “Doris calls her a brat and tells her to mind her own business and keep her beak shut. Mirna asks why Doris is talking like that to Rayo”. I can’t wait for all this to come out and I hope Mirna’s likely hard lesson teaches her to be a real human being instead of the vacuous, selfish, cruel person she is currently.

I hope the derision directed toward Mati is the beginning of Mati being ostracized.

So much is going wrong and so much pressure but Angel continues to be loving and supportive. To everyone. A bright desperately needed light here.

It was just great when Amparo found Mac in bed. I’m torn between thinking she’s smart to keep it to herself or wishing she had gone in there and confronted them. But since they’re separated it was probably best not to make a scene. Plus, knowledge is power, especially when the other person doesn’t know you know.

So Olivia really was in jail and thought her baby had died. I loved Aaron’s remark about her not being THAT stupid. I missed that in the show, naturally! I guess the doctor told her before she died and I’m thinking she sent Memo to rescue Isa from Fausto-who gets worse with each episode!

I’m really disappointed in Dani. She can’t tell who the real monster is! I’m so glad Sebastian is telling what he heard. And glad JuanPa showed up to confront them about their plans.

It seems that Fausto plans to leave them in Miami and return to Mexico. Not exactly a family vacation! But now Memo’s whole family knows! Tonight should be good. Will they all show up? That might be fun!

Liz, yes, Aaron's comeback to Fausto was perfect wasn't it? I am a bit confused about Olivia being in jail. I had thought that was made up but from the conversation with Aaron, the prisoner did know Olivia.

I can only think that Fausto has damaged Daniela psychologically. Living with someone so heinous must take a toll. And of course she only sees and knows some of it with the truth about Memo and Karen still to come. I think she will come to her senses shortly.

I'm smiling thinking about the entire Santos clan showing up en masse. We certainly could use a bit of humor, couldn't we?? :)

I can't believe Julia will go back with the man that almost raped her. Will she at least make sure she always has pepper spray and a phone to dial 911? If she leaves with Misael without alerting Angel first, I am done with her.

Bless her heart, Ester is infuriating about Cinthia and Denis but I loved her telling the truths about Braulio.

I don't know why the three adult friends keep inviting Rayo when all they do is wind up verbally brawling in front of the girl.

I am hoping that Mirna is offended by Doris having the nerve to be rude to her little sister. Maybe it's a case of "I" can talk smack to my sister but "you" can't.

Homero needed to be away for a week without his family so the docs can check his reactions? This sounds like quackery to me. If this is valid practice, it's sad.

I finally saw photos of Yolanda and Grace online....and may I just say....YIKES. Also, the wardrobe department is having fun with these looks .....Dani in her " uniforms " of blazer, top, slacks in solid , bold colors and Ursula, Mario, Yolanda, and Grace in .....YIKES

I agree that the questionable fashion choices of most are fun to watch. While Dani's clothes are what she should wear for the work she does, I would love to see her in something frilly and feminine.

I always get a kick out of the makeup too! The color combinations, laid on very thick always make me smile...

I'm late to the party, but I made it today unlike yesterday. Thank you Diana! Reading your recaps is like watching the episodes all over again, but it's even better with your masterful descriptions of the character's emotions and your sides which are totally spot on!

There had never been any mention of Olivia being in jail; so I thought Fausto had made the whole thing up. But it does look like he set her up and she ended up in jail where she met her cellmate. Susanlynn commented that it sounds like Fausto is accusing Memo of the things Fausto has done. I'm sure Susanlynn hit the bullseye! What the cellmate described must have been everything Fausto did to Olivia. I think Gaby's description of Fausto is exactly right: :...a tyrant! An ogre! Being your secretary [adding my own 'or anything else'] is worse than a Chinese torture!" and add to that: smug, entitled, despicable, dastardly, nefar-austo...

It was SO good to see Amparo catch Mac! But I was a bit surprised that the first person she went to was Eugenio...but I sure an glad she did!

Liz, "I’m really disappointed in Dani. She can’t tell who the real monster is!" I'm disappointed too. I can understand her fear and wanting to protect Isabela, but she really needs to listen to her inital instincts about Memo. And how can she believe anything that comes out from NeFasto!

And tonight WILL be MUST SEE TV! Get your box of tissues ready! :-)

I want Karen back! Daniela's histerics drive me crazy, and I usually can take any amount of crying. I watched en nombre del amor and there were tears in nearly every episode. Daniela believing everything Fausto said when he spent so much time trying to convince her Memo is terrible is odd. Why can't she see that he has a motive for making her think the worst of Memo? Is Karen's absence a plot point or has something happened to the actress? I'm guessing it's for plot because Daniela now has only her own stupidity for company. There was just something about scenes with her that irritated me so much.

Ester the hipocryte. 'no mother should be separated from her child.' Chepina's advice was weird. I was like if you don't know what to say, say nothing then. It hardly matters the kids eventually grow up when the problem is that they were taken from you as a means of blackmail. I wonder what Gero would have said if Sinthia had told him the truth. I bet he'd have run off to tell Ester or told Sin to do it. I have no idea what he sees in her.Control freaks are always bad news.

Gee, if my friends constantly bickered like these "friends?" do every they got together, I think it would be time to look for a new group of pals to have lunch with.

Angel and Jer are the two long suffering characters who just keep plodding along trying their best to be good guys amidst a sea of dysfunctional innocents who are at the mercy of the evil folks. Do they feel as exhausted as I do ?

Flavia is lowercase evil, while Braulio and Miserable are capital letter EVIL.Between them , we have an entire evil alphabet .

I am surprised that Flavia has not tracked down her bells because Flavia is all about getting what is hers, hers, hers... Max, Jer, Apartments, money, ....and those bells .


Meanwhile , nobody seems to notice or care that neither Danny nor Rayo go to school .

As for dim Celeste ....will her bro recognize any of those mystery keys ?

I was afraid Rayo would confront Doris before talking to Angel, who might soon have to rescue her from Doris. Ugh.

When we see Homero next he will be played by a different actor; David Ostrowsky had to leave the series due to health reasons. The same thing happened in Cabo: Rebecca Jones got replaced by Azela Robinson in episode 41.

Flavia sounds like Schylock. She needs to pay.

I was totally confused about Olivia's incarceration. Thank you for "it does look like he set her up and she ended up in jail where she met her cellmate" as that must have been the case. My heavens...My heart goes out to Olivia who was such a tragic victim on so many levels. Fausto needs to suffer for eternity.

Dani's epiphany can't come quickly enough!

ENDA was one of the saddest novelas I've ever seen. I miss Allisson Lozz!

This has to be Fausto's exact crime. Right down to the fraud Claudia went to prison for. I wonder how much money Fausto embezzled that Eugenio will have to chase down. How else would he have been able to bribe so many people to create all the false narratives?

I am convinced that Daniela knows nothing about Rudolfo's will. If she did, she might have caught on to all Fausto's lies.

When will Aaron use what he knows against Fausto?

I loved watching Amparo catching Mac and Yo and not losing her cool in the process. She will have a plan!

Thanks, Diana. Super storytelling of a wild episode. I never expected Dani to panic and flee the country. If Dani doesn't get herself together, Fausto will drive her into a nervous breakdown.

Amparo caught Macario - and is relieved to be done with him! I am looking forward to Fausto and Aaron leaning hard on Macario only to realize he has zip value in their plan to force Amparo to sell. Amparo, hurry and get one of those quickie Mexican divorces.

Amparo and Eugenio kissed! Sort of. Come on, guys, I know you were nervous in this new territory, but that was awkward for me to watch. Ya'll are representing an older demographic, and we can kiss as well -- or better -- than younger sweethearts!

Thanks goodness everybody spilled the beans about Dani planning to flee. I like that there are a lot of good guys here.

Besides Aaron killing Fausto's parents (along with Karen's mother), I am sure there are other skeletons in the closet and Aaron surely must have something else on Fausto. But when Fausto falls, so will he.

I don't think Macario realizes Amparo caught him with Yolanda. I woder if there will be a showdown??

Fausto not only wants Daniela and Isabella isolated from Memo and his family but from anyone who can refute any lie he tells her. This is seriously abusive.

Once JuanPa's competition is over I hope he can put on his red cape and save the day. Gaby was a victim of Fausto's sadistic ways. Sebastian is not far behind on that. We also need Leonardo and Jesusa on board. Amparo will be up in arms and Eugenio has witnessed at least several occasions of Fausto's tantrums.

The only guarantee we have is that this will get worse before it gets better.
