CAMINO Ep 62 Part 1

Dani tells Isabela that she will take her to play with Memo tomorrow after school, but Isa wonders if Memo wants to see her. She told him some awful things and maybe he doesn’t love her anymore. Dani reminds her that Memo is her father and when children reproach them, parents forgive them…that’s how parents are; they forgive them because they love them…Memo loves her. Isa then agrees to see Memo and wants to tell him that she loves him too.

Mac complains that he has bad luck. Aaron tells him that he is distracted…he gambles while he Carrie’s along all his problems…like those with his wife. Max asks that he not mention his brujer; the day that they divorce will come soon and that day, his luck will change. Max assures that he won’t forget that he owes Aaron money; as soon as he sells the land, he will pay Aaron. Aaron hopes so because he has lent him more that half a million pesos…and he will need a guarantee that he will pay him. He tells Mac to sign a note assuring that he will pay him 550 thousand pesos; and Max signs.

Gabi advises Lupita that she needs to be on her toes; that girl was set on kissing Sebas before leaving and she did it! When Gabi tells Lupita that she needs to fight for what she wants, Lupita won’t fight like Grace did; she doesn’t like violence. Gabi doesn’t mean that she should fight like that; Lupita needs to fight for her love. She needs to love Sebas just the way he is; he has changed a lot just for Lupita. When Lupita asks if she is too controlling, Gabi replies yes! a lot! Lupita needs to let Sebas be…let him be happy. If Lupita wants the relationship to work, she needs to do her part. Lupita thinks Gabi is right.

Chuchita returns to the ogre’s house. She worries that Isa may be upset about her leaving, but Dani tells her that Isa didn’t even find out that she left. Chuchita then worries about what Fausto will say, so Dani assures her that Fausto will probably be serious and distant but he can deal with his anger because Dani is not going to put up with his outbursts anymore!

Next day, Gabi goes to see Sebas who is in his office reviewing some blue prints. Gaby knows she shouldn’t butt in…she knows the blonde girl was his GF; so she asks if he says feelings for her. Sebas assures he that he loves Lupita. Stef was the worst mistake of his life! When she left for Africa, he was supposed to go with her…but during their going away party, Stef cheated on him. Gaby can’t believe that Stef had the gaul to show up at his house! Sebas thinks that Steff probably found out that he has a girlfriend and Stefi just wants to cause a scandal…she is crazy. Sebas then asks Gaby to help him with Lupita and not let her get upset. He swears that Stefi doesn’t exist for him and he would never do anything to hurt Lupita…but Lupita shouldn’t be so insecure; he has changed a lot because he loves her.

Ursula is all (fake) smiles as she chats with Memo. She thinks Memo didn’t want any log trips in case Dani calls. When Memo tells he that he will be able to see Isa today, Ursula keeps her big smile as she tells him to call Dani (huh?). Memo doesn’t want to pressure Dani, but when Ursula insists that he call her (ok, she’s up to something); so Memo concedes and asks if Ursula wants the call to be on speaker, Ursula tells him no, she trusts hi I’m! (Definitely up to something!) on the phone with Dani, Dani tells Memo that she is on her way to pick up Isa…and Chema. She knows of a peaceful park…and there is restaurant where they can have something to eat. Still all smiles, Ursula asks Memo what they are planning. Memo tells he that they will see each other at a plaza. He invited her to go, but oh no, she trusts him. When Memo leaves, Ursula’s smile w quickly fades.
 

CAMINO Ep 62 Part 2

At the recording studio, Monicallous convinces Max that though the song Leo wrote is very good, Leo is not ready to sing. Max thinks Leo has improved a lot but Monicallous insists that Leo is still too green…Max is going to spend too much money making the single…and it may not even be a hit! When Max comments that the song is very good, Monicallous has and idea (uh-oh, can’t be good…for Leo).

Sebas is still at work while his phone keeps chiming with all the messages Stefi is sending him. When Lupita surprises him with a visit, Sebas quickly puts down the phone and tells her that the he is having problems with his phone. Lupita wants to see if she can fix it, but Sebas refuses to give it to her.

At the recording studio, Leo enters smiling and clapping at Monica who is recording his song. Monicallous congratulates him since she and Max have decided to include his song in her new album! When Leo looks confused and tells Max that he doesn’t understand what is happening, Max tells him he is. It ready. Leo reminds him of what he had said, but Max assures him the day will come but not now; he will put the song out with Monicallous. Leo walks out shaking his head.

Memo is about to leave when Satan arrives and calls out “trailero!!” Ursula sneaks over to listen and hears Fausto ask Memo a question…he knows that he and Dani reconciled…he grabs Memo by the collar and asks if he and Dani kissed again. He demands to know if Memo and Dani are lovers!


After going back and forth about Sebas’s phone, Lupita tells Sebas that she is there because she has a surprise for him. She be prepared something that he will like. Sebas teases that she is asking him him to leave his work. Lupita smiles that yes she is. She won’t tell him where they are going because it’s a surprise. Sebas silences his phone so no one will bother them.

Memo berates Fausto for having such a low opinion of Dani who is the most decent woman he knows (hear that Ursula?) Fausto demands that Memo stop confusing Dani and trying to destroy his family. After Memo asserts that he and Dani have never been lovers, Fausto hopes it true. Memo admits that he did fall in love with Dani, but that road is closed and he took another path. He married Ursula and unlike Fausto, he respects his wife and the home he is making with her. Fausto reminds Memo that if he gets even one bit of evidence that they are lovers, neither Memo or anyone else will ever see Isa again!

 

CAMINO Ep 62 Part 3

Leo stops Monicallous who doesn’t have time for him because she needs to get ready to talk to the press about her new album, but Leo need not worry because she won’t talk about him. Leo reminds her that his song was for him to record and it was supposed to be his first single…they are stealing it from him! Monicallous spews that he is not ready…and she could get it to be in the top ten. Leo cries that it was his dream…and how will he face his father. Monicallous advises him to go back to trucking and forget about singing…he doesn’t have what it takes! When Leo reminds her that she had offers to help him, she retorts that he blew his opportunity…but he should be content that he wrote a song for her…not many get to accomplish that! Ciao!!

Lola is ready to go on the road! They talk about going on the road and how wonderful it feels. Humberto does miss it, but when his children grew up, he found other things to enjoy about life. Lola would never give it up! And suggests that Humberto could someday go on a job with her. Humberto just might take her up on it! Before she leaves, Humberto asks if they might go out to eat when she gets back. Gladly! she replies. Amparo teases Humberto.

Lupita takes Sebas bike riding to a nice place she found on the internet. Lupita admits that she is trying to change and not be so nerdy. Sebas adores her...and they race down the path.

Amparo questions Gabi about her classes. Gabi lies and tells her things are going well. Amparo is glad and reminds her that she and Memo are making sacrifices to pay for her studies…Amparo knows Gabi won’t make waste of that. Grace has been watching and smirks cunningly.

Playtime with Dani and the kids. Memo approaches slowly and says hello to Isa who hesitates...then runs to him for nice loving hug. Meanwhile, Ursula lurks and spies on them!

Isa tells Memo that she was sad because she thought he had hurt her mother. Memo assures her that what he had told her was the truth...he didn't even know why her mother didn't tell him that Isa was already in her tummy. When Isa asks why her mother didn;t tell him, Memo doesn't know but he can say that if she had told him he wouldn't have left her. Isa asks why her mother was in prison...was she bad? Memo does recall her as being bad. Isa wants to know if her mother was innocent; so Memo promises that he will find out what happened with her mother Olivia. He tells her that whatever happened, her mother loved her so much that she asked him to look for her so that he could be with her and give her all the hugs and kisses her mother couldn't give her. Memo assures Isa that he will always be with her...because he loves her!

Grace slithers over to Gai and talks her into confiding in her. Gabi confides that she is no longer attending school! Grace will keep her secret and advises her not to tell her mother until Eugenio gets back...that way her mother will be in a better mood. Gabi agrees and thinks Grace is becoming a good friend.

Lupita and Sebas enjoy each other in their outing. Lupita is understanding that doing things is much better when they are done with someone they love.

JP asks Gabi if she has told her mother about dropping out. Gabi thinks her family will be disappointed and will think that she is like or worse than her father...they won't understand. JP urges her not to keep secrets from her family. Gabi cries and she questions why she isn't like him or Lupita who knows exactly what she wants to do in life. JP tells her not to worry; he is there and he will help her find her vocation.

DisGrace rats on Gabi to Amparo. She asks Amparo not to tell Gabi that she was the one who told her.
 

CAMINO Ep 62 Part 4

Memo and the kids play at the park and have fun. Dani tells Memo that they need to leave because Isa has homework to do. Isa thanks "Papa Memo" for coming to play with them. Memo tears up since Isa called him "Papa Memo".

Sebas is flying high as he tells JP about Lupita taking him on a surprise outing when a super drunk Stef arrives and shoots him down...she needs a place to stay since she got into it with her mother. When Sebas scolds her for being drunk, she plops down on the couch and reminds Sebas that they used to drink full bottles of liquor. Sebas tells her she can't stay, but Stef has nowhere else to go. Sebas (stupidly) agrees...she can stay but only for that night (yeah, right). JP gives him the evil eye so Sebas stammers as he tries to justify that he can't turn his back on Stef.

Memo arrives home and excitedly tells Ursula about his time with Isa. He thanks Ursula for trusting him (poor clueless guy!). She tells him that she now understands that Dani is only Isa's mother and she has nothing to worry about. LIAR!!

Dani and Isa are also at home. Isa is superhyper...she is excited about spending time and being able to play with her Papa Memo. She tells Dani that Memo is going to find out what really happened with her mother who lives in the stars...this will be a new mission for the super heroes! Dani wants to also help and she will be Super Mama!

Leo drags in and is met by Humberto who questions how things went. Leo (badly) lies and tells him that things went well. Humberto wants details but Leo is too tired and goes to bed...but Humberto is obviously not fooled.

Gabi goes in to see Amparo who has summoned her. Amparo tells her that she is not dumb...and asks how long it's been since Gabi left her studies.

Sebas is in the kitchen when Stef approaches wearing his shirt. Stef wants to recall past times...and as she strokes him seducingly, assures that his novia need not find out.

Amparo is very disappointed in a crying Gabi. After Amparo lists all the times that Gabi has lied and disappointed her, she adds that Gabi is her calvary. She chides Gabi for trying to fool them. Gabi pleads that she will do anything and asks for some type of punishment, but Amparo knows that won't work; and she is giving up on Gabi...and won't waste time talking to her anymore!

Mac goes to visit Ursula. and wonders why she is in such a good mood. After telling him that Memo is taking a shower, she will tell him because she knows her secrets are safe with him. As she tells him that Memo went to meet Dani to see Isa, Memo approaches and hears her add that she couldn't help it and went to spy on them! Her jaw plummets to the floor as Memo asks if she really went to spy on them!

Over at Satan's house, Dani is surprised to see Fausto in her bed. He thinks she looks beautiful and has always liked that negligee on her. Dani tells him that this is HER bedroom, but he insists that it is THEIR bedroom. He points out that during the past few months, they have both stayed firm in continuing their marriage; and the only thing he wants is to sleep with his wife!

VENCER LA AUSENCIA #75 Part 1

Notes from the couch . . . just the facts edition


BRAULIO + MISAEL + ANGEL GETS NO RESPECT #1

Angel confronts an arrogant and jubilant Braulio about the results of the audit. He accuses him of fraud. Braulio asks if he is not exaggerating. What he considers fraud is only "financial engineering" or little financial manipulations that have been done forever. Angel threatens him with calling the authorities and filing charges against him. Braulio tells him to go right ahead and he can sue him, too. That will lead to the collapse of the company. Braulio says that Angel needs to remember everything he did, he did for them. He knows he is indispensable for the company because Angel knows nothing about the company. Angel calls him cynical. Braulio says that very cynicism worked for him and his father when they were not brave enough to do the dirty work that needed to be done. He fixed so many of the errors that Homero made over the years so that the company wouldn't be affected. Angel doesn't believe that and suggests that maybe Braulio was the one who created the errors in the first place. Angel is amazed how important Braulio thinks he is. Braulio says he knows he is that important. He always wanted to work at the company when they both know that Angel never wanted to be there. Braulio knows everything there is to know about the company. Angel sticks to his guns that Braulio is the one who committed crimes according to the audit. Angel cares not if he sues him or takes him to court. Angel tells Braulio he is fired. Braulio asks him if he is serious and starts to make fun of him. Braulio insists that he will not be leaving. He informs Angel that needs to grow up and be a "little man" already. He cannot see it ending badly for him and Braulio. Braulio understands that Angel is upset but now more than ever no matter what Angel does, he will not be able to get rid of him. Braulio leaves with a great big smile. Angel is left wondering.

Braulio fills Misael in on his run-in with Angel. He thinks it would be best if Misael could collect the rest of the money so they can get together and he can give Misael his cut sooner rather than later. That way Misael can get out of town and they never have to see each other again. He tells Misael he has nothing left there since he lost Julia. Misael says he still hasn't lost his son and he is going to court about that.


CINTHIA + JERO SAVING A LOST SOUL

Jero catches up with Cinthia and convinces her to go back into rehab giving her the hope of better times to come with her son. She has to learn how to love herself. He is confident that she will achieve sobriety but it is something she will have to work on and not give up on. One day, Denis will be very proud of his mother when this is long behind her. Cinthia is grateful but she does have one favor to ask him. She knows that Ester takes good care of Denis but would like him to find out if he could be Denis' legal guardian.

Jero goes to see Ester only to find out from Max she is worn out and resting. On his way out, he asks Max if he wants the best for Denis. Max agrees that he does.


 

VENCER Part 2

JULIA + MISAEL IN COURT

The judge gives the reason for the hearing is that Daniel's parents cannot come to an agreement for custody on their own. Julia's lawyer talks about not removing Danny from the home he has only known where his mother, grandfather and aunts reside. It is a warm and loving home. Misael laughs out loud and his lawyer doesn't waste anytime saying that his client thinks he can provide a more moral environment for his son because Julia has a romantic and sexual relationship with somebody else. They know that is not a crime but it is a reason for divorce and the reason for their separation. Julia asks about Misael's criminal record only to be informed by his lawyer that he was exonerated on those charges. She asks Misael if not him, who was driving the truck? He smirks. The judge thinks that joint custody might be the way to go. Julia and Misael both disagree each on wanting sole custody. The judge says that the interview with Daniel will help him decide what is best for the boy.


ESTER + HER FAILED MEA CULPA TOUR + MAX

Ester is told by the police officer that the person who was arrested for the original crime was released because of a lack of evidence. There was no complaint filed. There was no crime. If Ester needs to make herself feel better, maybe she wants to invite the other woman out to eat and apologize or go to church. He asks Ester to please not waste his time.

Ester then calls Laura to explain what she did and apologize but Ester is the last person that Laura wants to talk to and hangs up on her before she can confess. Ester ends up sending her a text confessing to planting the drugs.

Max has bad news for Ester. He went to check on the custody process only to find out that family services has stopped her application. They have decided to take physical custody of Denis.


MISAEL + ANGEL GETS NO RESPECT #2

Angel runs into Misael at the company and demands to know what he is doing there. He tells him he is there on behalf of AnaS to pick up some documents. Angel lights into him about trying to take Danny away from his mother. Misael addresses him as "junior" and tells him it is none of his business. Angel insists it is because Julia and Danny are a part of his life. Misael laughs and calls him a clown who is nothing in Julia's and Danny's life. Angel tells him to accept that he has lost Julia and give it up. Misael says he will never be gone. Angel changes the topic and asks who was driving that food truck if not him. Misael just grins and says he has no idea since Margarita and Iván are dead and buried. Why look for an explanation?


MIRNA + BEING PUSHED OUT OF THE NEST

AnaS brings Mirna up to date on two more victims of Sergio and Doris who both ended up deep in debt. AnaS reminds Mirna of the debt she owes her. She will not leave Mirna off the hook. AnaS is also thinking of selling her shares in the Funes company.

Mirna runs to Angel to give her money to pay off AnaS. Surprise! He says NO. He suggests she get a job or sell some of her things. He tells her the time has come for her to run her own life and to solve her own problems.


 

VENCER Part 3

TEO + RAYO

Teo is being bullied by boys from school and ends up cutting school for a few days and spending two days studying with Rayo at her home. Towards the end of the episode, the school calls Flavia to tell her that Teo has not been there for several days.


GINA + THE POISONOUS VEGAN MAYO

Chepina calls Gina to see some news on tv. It is a report on the vegan mayo that Gina was hawking. It has poisoned several people. Gina herself is given as an example of the worst kind of social network influencer who acts irresponsibly. There should be a law against what she did.

Later, Gina runs into Ebe. She gets the cold shoulder especially when she volunteers to help him out on his organ donation drive. He tells her it isn't a good idea right now with her issue of the vegan mayo. He cannot move on quick enough from her.


CELESTE + BRAULIO + THE KEY SOLVES THE MYSTERY

Celeste remembers: that the blood type found on the gauze and the food truck was A +/ that after the accident Braulio was walking around in pain that he blamed on his sciatica/that the banker told her that Braulio had two bank accounts/that the jeweler told her how expensive her jewelry was/ that Braulio confessed that he had done his own business deals outside the company.

Braulio confesses to Celeste that he had differences with Angel due to a couple of financial movements he made that turned up in the audit. He did it to benefit himself and Celeste. Angel was furious but Braulio is rather confident that it will all blow over. The next morning, he is ready to go to work. Celeste asks him what ever happened with his sciatica. It was so severe after the time of the accident. Braulio says it doesn't hurt him all the time.

Celeste talks to Julia and offers to go with her back to the apartment where Misael was staying if she needed to. Julia says there was no need. Celeste manages to get the address out of Julia anyway. It is #7 on 19th street in a neighborhood called "La Caldera" (The Cauldron). It is a risky place.

Celeste gets the mystery key and goes to the apartment. A woman tells her where it is in the building and is surprised that such a refined woman would be going there considering the guy Misael who used to stay there. Celeste puts the mystery key in the door and it opens. She comes to the conclusion that Braulio was the one driving the food truck.

VENCER #75 WHOOPSIE ADDITION

JERO + FLAVIA

Jero tells Flavia that he wants to break their partnership and buy the truck from her. She is not in favor. She is happy with the money she is making. Also, his offer is way too low and she doesn't like the idea of him having to pay her in installments.

Could Braulio or Misael have been any more disrespectful to Angel?

Angel better get very smart really quickly and hire an independent lawyer.

What will Celeste do with her discovery?

Misael was disgusting in the courtroom.

Rgv Chick, your wise interpretation of the events and excellent wordsmithing shone throughout your summary. You conveyed the events, especially the fragility of the parent/child relationship with insight and kindness.

“Monicallous” was perfect, just perfect.

Watching Memo and Isa find their way back to each other, loved and encouraged by Daniela was uplifting. I loved him holding and hugging her twirling her around. Having Chema and Dani there was icing on the cake.

I always shake my head when Fausto confronts Memo. He’s all bluff and no buff. Shut.Up. Fausto.

“Leo stops Monicallous who doesn’t have time for him because she needs to get ready to talk to the press about her new album, but Leo need not worry because she won’t talk about him”. No, she certainly didn’t. Monicallous working her evil wasn’t really shocking but the lightening speed at which she stole his song and broke his dreams was. “One hit wonder” indeed! She pulled the rug out from under him before he realized he’d even stepped on it. And BTW, she sang it badly. “Leo lies and tells him that things went well…but Humberto is obviously not fooled”.

Grace the snake showed the true color of her scales. Amparo was hurt which was understandable but Amparo’s assertion “…she is giving up on Gabi...and won't waste time talking to her anymore!” seemed unduly harsh. Gabi was clearly completely distraught.

Does Ursula plan on being at every Dani and Memo meeting, hiding in the shadows?? Good luck sister.

When drunk as a skunk Este came barreling in, JuanPa’s facial expressions were priceless and despite my frustration with her showing up, I had to smile. I’ll hazard a wild guess Sebas allowing her to stay the night will end disastrously.

Lola’s on the road already?? Let’s hope her trips are as brief as Memo’s 😊

Hope Dani takes her pillow and vacates her bedroom as the reptile has no intention of leaving.

Jarifa, your recap was fantastic but your headlines stole the show. “ESTER + HER FAILED MEA CULPA TOUR + MAX” and “MISAEL + ANGEL GETS NO RESPECT #2 “ were my favorites but all were excellent and had me laughing away. So clever.

I’m still not sure Ester realizes the gravity of all the trouble she’s caused. Moreover, is she truly sorry or merely sorry she got caught?

Rather than cower, Braulio reacted to Angel’s accusations with brashness and disdain. No one is pushing him out! It would be ironic if it ends up being Celeste who finally brings him down. Celeste has many clues but will she allow herself to put everything together?

“He thinks it would be best if Misael could collect the rest of the money so they can get together and he can give Misael his cut sooner rather than later”. Does Braulio really think Misael will bring all the money to him so Braulio can give Misael (back) his cut? Braulio made a rare miscalculation underestimating Misael.

Loved Rayo’s oh so warm greeting of Teo who has effectively been abandoned by his parents, especially Flavia. I hope he ends up living with Angel and Rayo.

Gina is obviously totally unsuited to social influencing and needs to change “careers” before she ends up causing irreparable harm and is totally shunned.

Flavia is going to make Jero crawl for that truck. And even then…?

“Misael was disgusting in the courtroom”. He is pretty much disgusting all of the time, isn’t he? 😊

Some of the clues are finally fitting but oh so much more to go!

Thank you RGV chick! You caught it all as always! :) Although we still have some drama no doubt it's nice to get a little fun back in the episodes and I'm sure it's much more fun to recap!

Sebas letting Stef stay was of course STUPID, but I gotta admit I cracked up at his logic when he told JP that he wanted to save the world as JP knew, and Stef was part of the world, no? LOL He should have been thinking a little more of 'his world' because he definitely put it in mortal danger with that call.

Monicallous certainly played Max in two minutes flat!!! He should be more sophisticated than that, he made himself look like Leo wasn't the only one new to the business. He can't recognize blatant jealous envy when he sees/hears it? Wow! Is Leo just going to give up and go back to trucking? Or is he going to locate his backbone?

I was disappointed in the Gaby/Amparo confrontation. Amparo didn't listen to Gaby at all and just condemned her! I can understand being angry especially since Gaby lied and kept the secret but Gaby is an adult and Amparo treated her like a petulant child and then to tell her she's giving up on her? Amparo should have heard Gaby out and then decided what she wanted to say. Gaby shouldn't be begging to be punished, because again she's an adult! But I kind of get it. I had a sister who all she had to hear was mom was disappointed in her and it was worse than punishment, it was her undoing. Whereas I would have just shrugged and been happy to escape punishment! LOL

Thanks, Rgv Chick, I enjoyed the recap and also enjoyed more fun, less drama. Although there was still plenty of drama. Why are we the only ones that see those fake smiles on Grace and Ursula!

Amparo was pretty harsh with Gaby. Gaby is basically a good kid but even if she wasn’t you don’t give up on your kid!

I see a very rocky road ahead for Sebas and Lupita. He does a lot of foolish things and that’s not one of my favorite relationships. If he doesn’t get some common sense I would hope for better things for Lupita.

I felt so sorry for Leo. I know he signed a contract(at least I think he did)but couldn’t he sing that song on the Internet even if it’s on her album.

Diana, the scene I asked about was in this episode! I watched the coming attractions last time, trying to see Ursula in the closing, and saw that scene. I was hoping she had said something more incriminating but guess we have too many episodes ahead!

Thanks, Jarifa, loved your “just the facts edition”. But you gave us a lot more than just facts! You can make an episode with very few happy moments still be a fun read!

I loved how Rayo hugged Teo and brought him into the house. And Flavia’s phone call from the school! A wake up call!

Braulio sure has an overblown ego. He feels it’s fine to steal from the company and basically refuses to get fired. I guess it’s because of the shares he has. If he gets AnaSofia’s shares he may own the company. Celeste better come through!

I could have smacked Misael in the courtroom. So sure of himself. He and Braulio really are quite a pair! I can’t believe how they both are so disrespectful of Angel. How did they get such nice women to marry them?

I was surprised that Social Services was going to take Denis. That seemed strange.

I do feel sorry for Gina. But hope she leaves social media and gets a job.

I didn’t remember that Braulio was was hurting after the accident. Celeste sure has enough to go to Angel or the authorities.

Five more episodes! Let’s see the bad guys start to fall!

Wow! It looks like Ester never should have tempted the fates with planting the drugs in the first place. She is being paid back with a custom-made hell. She is not being allowed to apologize for and do restitution for her act and, for the cherry on the top, the state is taking her grandson. Karma bites.

Yes, “Flavia is going to make Jero crawl for that truck. And even then . . .? Ester tried to warn him. How much interest will Flavia want to charge him since it will be installment payments? I am sure she will try to fit interest in some where.

Liz, It will be interesting to see why Iván is being removed. I wonder if Jero is somehow involved since Cinthia asked him to be her son’s legal guardian and he asked Max if he wanted the best for his grandson. “If he gets AnaSofia’s shares he may own the company.” You got it! Braulio was so unbelievably comfortable being obnoxious to Angel.

Leonardo is truly naive and there may be no recourse over his stolen song. People like Monicallous exit to prey upon people like him.

Estefania is utterly repulsive. Sebas and JP should have taken her to her mother's place and dumped her on the couch. I have actually been wondering whether the drunk bit was an act. She is evil enough to do that. We can hope this provokes a little chutzpah in Lupita and/or Gaby.

I agree with the others about Amparo and Gaby. That was horrible and exactly what Grace intended under the heading of Misery Loves Company. She is getting better all the time at premeditated evil.

Macario is now in to Aaron (Fausto) for almost $30K US. He will never be able to pay this back unless he can steal half of Amparo's land which is likely to be worthless to Fausto without the other half. He would then need to wait until the criminals who want to buy Ursula's baby pay up but we are counting on Ursula to be true to her name and be a Mama Bear toward them when they show up. That should put Macario on the streets permanently... or somewhere Dante wrote about centuries ago.

I really think Fausto has to die or end up in prison doing life without parole before Dani and Isa can be safe. There also has to be a way to show that the adoption was illegal.

Darcy, your comment on Max, that he "made himself look like Leo wasn't the only one new to the business" was spot on. But even though he wasn't in on the song "hijacking" per se, he knew it was wrong and he did nothing. That said, Monicallous IS his moneymaker so hia lack of character wasn't a surprise.

Liz, when Memo (finally) overheard Ursu and Macario, I was also so frustrated he didn't hear more of her terrible truth! So frustrating.

But what is the custody answer? Cinthia has made mistakes but it is possible to become and maintain sobriety. I'm rooting for her to eventually achieve that and be able to raise Denis but she isn't ready now. Ester, faults aside will make a loving grandmother.

Niecie your "The scene with grieving Ebe and Gina ...Just painful to watch" nailed it. Gina is a good person at heart but lacks social awareness. She needs to work on her empathy. She is not ready for a relationship at this point in time but only my opninion.

I don't get why that agent lets Monica dictate what to do. Wasn't he the one who made her a star? How could such a stuupid man become a successful star-maker? I bet Sebas still likes that silly girl who is as sticky as a chewing gum. Sadly, in a way I'm not surprised because Stefi-gum is more his type. I wonder what chances girls like Lupe have in real life. I don't believe Sebas stopped enjoying parties and Lupita certainly won't start enjoying them. I sometimes wonder what it would be like if I had to grind my teeth and suffer through a huge party because someone else liked them. What else did Sebas and Lupita do together? I can't remember. That caraoke night was nice, but I can't remember anything else.

A mparo clearly has no idea what having a 'bad child' looks like if all it takes for her to say she's giving up on her daughter is for her to lie about giving up on her studies and her job. I wonder what she'd do if her kids took drugs or something similar. Besides, what is this 'I'm giving up on you' is supposed to achieve? Even when Gabi started studying, everyone was like 'oh I hope you'll do better this time'. Soo encouraging... I bet Gabi will be a nurse. But the members of this family sometimes lack the ability to be genuinely encouraging. Amparo most probably has never struggled with finding her vocation if she is so harsh to Gabi. Poor girl.

I don't much like the supposed punishment to Ester. She doesn't get to apologise, but I doubt she'll lose any sleep over this so no winners here. Denis is going to suffer. I'm a bit confused as to why the social services are going to take him away. It's a pity there isn't a separate category for very controling mothers/grandmothers because they do a lot of harm too and it would be great if Ivan's story wouldn't get repeated. Ester loves Denis, but it doesn't feel like an entirely healthy kind of love because I don'tthink she fully realises that what Geronimo said to her is worth listening to. It's hard for me to feel sorry for her because she irritates me so much. I wonder if she isn't more sorry that she got caught than because hse messed-up things for Laura and Sintia. Why oh why couldn't we have had a romance between someone like Geronimo and her? Ester is too annoying.

I know people who worked for a Children and Youth Agency. I think social services is taking Denis away so that they they can sort out this difficult , confusing situation of a mother who has a drug problem and a grandmother who was willing to stoop to planting drugs to get custody .I think we will see a HEA with HeroJero, penitent Abuela Esther , and reformed Cynthia all living together to raise Denis in a loving home.

1. Celeste is shocked and saddened to find out the truth about her husband. How could he? She locks the door and leaves.

2. Ester desperately refuses to accept that they could be losing Denis. Max reminds her that our actions have consequences and surmises that Laura must have contacted family services. She insists that Max has to do something. He is going to do what he can and won't give up until they get custody.

3. Angel notices that Ester is upset and offers her his assistance. She kindly refuses saying she knows how many of his own problems he has. She wonders if she can ask what went so wrong in the audit. He doesn't know where to start.

4. Flavia is wondering where Teo could be. It can't be with Mati because he is behind bars. Jero says it is normal that boys his age cut school. Flavia doesn't understand when everything got off track. Flavia can track him on her cellphone and does.

5. Julia tells her family that the hearing didn't go so bad but it didn't go that well all because Misael and his lawyer brought up her relationship with Angel. Chepina asks if she couldn't comment about what he has been up to. Julia says no and that he was exonerated from any charges in connection to the truck crash. They proved he was not the driver. Rodolfo wants to know who it was. Julia says nobody knows. Julia says he dragged her reputation through the mud just to get custody of Danny and the worst part of it all is that Danny has to go to court himself tomorrow. Chepina says she must be able to defend herself somehow. Julia asks how? Misael says he has videos proving that she and Angel have a relationship.

6. Celeste takes a trip down memory lane looking at old photos where her rat of a husband is pictured. Julia calls her to see if she found out something since she asked for the address of that place. Celeste is hesitant to answer and then tells her that she didn't find out a thing. If she finds anything out, she will let her know. Julia will be happy with any clue no matter how small so she doesn't lose her child. Celeste is in tears as the conversation ends.

7. Angel is telling Ester how he viewed Braulio as a loyal friend and he ended up betraying them the whole time. A sunny up-beat Braulio appears greeting them and asking how they are feeling. Angel demands to know what he is doing there. Braulio cheerily says he is there to work like he does every day. He had had the hope that Angel had thought about things and came to a better occlusion. Angel tells him he has nothing to think about. He doesn't want Braulio there. Braulio says he is not going anywhere. Angel says he will be talking to his lawyer to settle things. Braulio says there is nothing to settle but if Angel wants to he can go right ahead and talk to his lawyer. Braulio is still smiling.

8. Rayo is trying to work with Teo whose mind is somewhere else. Suddenly there is banging on the door. It is Flavia who starts screaming for Teo. She wants him to come with her. When did he start cutting classes and turning into a bum? Rayo tries to get in a word in edge wise, and Flavia tells her not to get involved. Rayo informs her that Teo is her friend s she is getting involved. He has been through a real rough time and Flavia and Max act like they do not care about him. Flavia says she is nobody to educate her about the situation when she isn't educated herself. Mirna comes down wondering what is going on. Flavia starts to complain about Rayo being a terrible influence on her son. She is getting him to cut classes. She calls her a badly educated savage. Mirna has had it. She tells Flavia not to talk like that about her sister. She isn't alone without anybody to protect her. She is to be respected in their home without having to put up with the ignorant shouting of someone like Flavia. Flavia remarks that she ever expected this kind treatment but they are relatives so that would have been too much to ask. Teo leaves with his still screaming mother. He apologizes for "the circus" she caused. Rayo closes the door and looks at Mirna who just rolls her eyes and smiles. Rayo relaxes and laughs.

9. Misael tells AnaS that he is resigning from his job with her so he can focus on fighting for custody of his son. She says at least Angel and Julia aren't close anymore. Misael has his doubts about that. Angel knows everything that is going on. If AnaS is interested in him, she better get herself in gear or Angel and Julia could end up together. AnaS swears on her father's grave that will not be happening. She has one more favor to ask: that he pay attention to everything that is going on.

10. Ester cannot keep her mouth shut anymore and asks how Braulio can be such a cynic when it comes to the Funes family who he has worked for so many years. Braulio tells her to shhh . . . be quiet. Braulio announces that Ester will be the one losing her job not him. Angel says NO! Braulio says YES! Angel thanks Ester for her support but says he needs to talk to Braulio alone. She says she will pick up her grandson. Braulio tells her to enjoy it because soon she won't be having all of those breaks.

11. Angel takes Braulio into his office. He is quick to show Angel the documents that Homero signed making Arnaldo Bermejo a partner in the firm. Angel looks at the forms and says it can't be. Braulio smiles and says but it is! He adds that as Angel can see, Braulio is the legal representative of Arnaldo Bermejo.

12. Flavia takes Max home. She presumes that he cut school to be with Rayo. Teo talks about how nice Rayo has been to him. Flavia doesn't cafe and decides that Max can handle Teo and calls him. She needs him to talk to his son and put some brakes on him. Max says he will but he is dealing with an issue with his grandson. She hangs up. Flavia says she always hoped that Max would have been some sort of support but he never has been. Their home has always needed a man! Teo doesn't get how she can speak so badly about people. She is so bitter. She smiles and asks her? bitter? They taunt each other as she goes upstairs and disappears. She comes back out with his laptop. She asks if she is bitter? and throws his laptop down the stairs. He tells her she is crazy and asks what she is doing??

13. Braulio suggests that they wipe the slate clean and try to not fight so they can make decisions about the company TOGETHER. Angel tells him that is not happening. The signature of his father is not valid due to his condition. Braulio tells him to take the pathos lies resistance or else all of the underhanded deals that the company has been involved in could come to light. Angel is not afraid and he will do all he can to get him to pay for what he has done. Brauio suggests that Angel take his desire for justice down a notch and leave the Funes company for him to run while he does what he is of interest to him. Braulio says the new partner could buy his part of the company as well as his father's. Angel disagrees and thinks that he and Arnaldo are accomplices. Braulio decides to go to his office and leaves Angel with a lot to think about. He pauses to pat Angel's desk and give him one more big grin.

14. Ebe is helping out Jero on the night run since Cynthia's gone. Jero thinks he should be at home studying. Ebe thinks this is just fine and he just has to learn how to organize himself. He has the best teacher for that: Jero. Ebe apologizes to Jero for how treated him when he first came home. He is so sorry. They hug.

15. Jero sees Ester coming home with Denis. She looks depressed and he asks her what happened. She tells him that family services want to take Denis away from her.

16. Angel calls Julia. He has an enormous problem at the company and he needs to talk to her. They agree to meet at a cafe.

17. Ester tells Jero that Max went to see what they can do so Denis is not removed. Anything can happen. Jero understands perfectly what she is going through but there must be a way to solve this. Ester was so sure of herself but now she isn't sure about anything. She is so sorry for all the decisions she made and now everything is working against her. Denis is all she has left and if they take him from her. . . Jero says that is not going to happen. She isn't sure if she can go on if they take her grandson. Jero tells her that he is always there for her. She thanks him.

18. Celeste texts her friends. She needs to meet with them. Tomorrow night seems to be the best time for them all. Celeste asks Ester if they could meet at a her house. Ester says sure.

19. Flavia who is still worked up comes over to see Celeste.

20. Homero gives Rayo permission to go to the apartment complex tomorrow. Homero likes Teo. He looks like a hard worker which will be important when he has to support a family some day. Rayo says that idea that men have to do it all is really very old fashioned. Everyone can do everything. Everything is equal. Homero disagrees. If Angel hadn't been there to take charge of the company, who would have done it? Rayo says Mirna, of course! She is just as capable as her brother. Mirna overhears and smiles.

21. Julia tells Angel she never thought that Braulio could go so low as to do what he did. Angel sees it as his own fault for not paying attention. How could he never have suspected anything.? Mirna's and his inheritance are at risk because of him. Julia think he should not feel so bad because it was Braulio who deceived him. Everyone thought he was honest. Angel has to admit that he did give Braulio more and more responsibility and that was because he never wanted to be a part of the Funes company. Julia reminds him that he is a part of the company now and he needs to take the reins. She reminds him he is there because he is a man of his word. It is not his fault that somebody did him dirty or set a trap for him. How was he to know?

22. Flavia complains to Celeste that she doesn't get any support from Max. Flavia thinks that Celeste married the best man ever. He has never failed her. She has the blessing of living in an exemplary marriage. Celeste smiles. Flavia warns her to be careful because men like Braulio aren't so common. Celeste has to agree that as a husband, Braulio has never failed her.

23. Julia says it is so strange being out with Angel and not hiding. Angel doesn't think they can keep hiding what they feel. They need to be together facing whatever comes. He says there is no reason to hide. He is single and she is divorced. They are free to decide their own lives. Julia agrees but the last thing she wants to do is hurt Danny. He tells her that living in fear is not living neither for them or for Danny. He asks if he can come over and talk to him.

24. Rayo explains to Homero about how much she enjoys getting together with her mothers' friends. It brings back the good times she and her mom spent with them. That helps a little bit with the sadness she feels. Homero explains that sadness never goes away but tells her to focus on the good things in life. For example, they are together. Rayo explains that her mother had a hard time being a single mother. She supposes that she had her reasons for not telling her about him being her father but when she thinks about all her mother did to support her she feels . . . Homero knows. Rayo says her mother probably could not be close to him because she was not the only woman in his life. Homero agrees but her mother was in some form very unique in his life with a daughter like her. Rayo says it sounds like a conciliation prize. Homero says not at all. He loved Margarita very much. Homero explains that when she gets older she is going to learn that the most pure love that there is, is between parents and children. It lasts forever and is eternal. On the other hand, the love of a couple is complicated. It doesn't last and is a headache. Rayo asks if he thinks everyone has just one love in their life. Homero says no. He believes you have several great loves in your life. Homero says her mother told him of a great love she had when she was about Rayo's age. Rayo wants to hear all about it. Homero knows nothing else. Margarita never would talk about it.

25.Danny is ready for bed when Julia tells him that she was with a friend who came by to see him. As soon as he sees Angel, he decides to play outside of his room. Angel want to talk about Danny about helping find his father when he left the house and got lost. He wants to thank Danny for praying for his father like he did. Danny smiles.

26. Braulio notices how quiet Celeste is at supper. He wants to know what she is worried about. She says that Flavia was telling her about the problems she was having with Teo and she was thinking about that. Braulio says as much as she would like, she cannot solve everyone's lives. She is taking on their pain. Celeste says she cannot believe that somebody would make others suffer just so they could keep on going. She brings up the accident as an example. She could have never left Margata and Iván alone in that accident. She doesn't know how but she would have done everything to save them. He agrees it was an ugly incident but sees it as he past and he doesn't want to think about it.

27.Angel tells Danny that the last thing he ever would want to do is steal his mother. He wants them to both be happy. He wants them to be a team like before. Danny wants to know if he wants to do something bad to his father. Angel swears that he doesn't. He and his father are neither friends or enemies. He would never try to take his place as Danny's father. Angel only wants to be friends again. Will he be his friend? Danny asks if he has to answer him now. Angel says no. He can think about it. Danny is smiling as Angel leaves.

28. Julia thanks Danny for being a really good kid with such a good heart. They hug. He asks if Angel is going to be her novio. She says yes and Danny is still smiling. Julia assures Danny that Angel will never take the place that Danny has in his heart for his own father. When Danny asks about his father coming to live back home again, Julia tells him he will not be coming back. She decided to separate from his father and that is why they both have to go to court tomorrow. She will explain everything to Danny.

29. Mirna asks Angel about the problem with Braulio. He says she probably wouldn't be interested in hearing about it and he wouldn't want to worry her. She surprises Angel by telling him that she is interested since it is the family business and maybe she can help him with something. He is pleasantly surprised when she says she should get more involved in the company.

30. Julia, Rodolfo and Danny show up in court the next day. Danny goes running to see his father. Julia's lawyer tells them that the judge is going to be scrutinizing everything so they need to be on their best behavior and not say anything provocative.

31. The judge tells Danny that he needs to talk to him. His parents will not be with him but both lawyers and the child psychologist will. Julia is worried about Danny being on his own. Misael says she only wants to manipulate him. Julia tells Danny to be honest with the judge. Misael tells him to handle it like a real macho would.

32. Angel comes in to work with Mirna. Braulio asks him where Ester is. Angel says she works for him and he allowed her to leave. Braulio says that will be changing soon. Angel asks if that is because he has been empowered by the new partner or is there another surprise?? Angel says that he he and Mirna were talking and they do not know what Bermejo wants with their company for. Is he is like another Silvano who wanted to buy the company? Braulio smiles and says Angel will find out when he feels like telling him. Mirna informs him that the contract says that Braulio has obligations which includes answering questions like these. Brauio is surprised by her talking like a lawyer knowing that she is a car thief. Braulio adds that if Ester doesn't come back to work, Mirna can be the new receptionist and she can pay for the car she stole with her little salary. Angel tells him enough already. Braulio leaves. Mirna apologizes about the car again. Angel tells her not to worry. He adds there must be some way to get that imbecile out of there. (UH, TRY CALLING A LAWYER!!!)

33. Max tells Ester that the custody process seems to be in order but in the mean time, Denis has to be handed over to a family services facility. Max was told that Danny cannot be with his mother or with her.

34. Julia and Misael watch Danny's interview from behind a one way mirror. Misael says he wants her to know that Danny is going to asks the judge to stay with him. Rodolfo grabs him and Misael asks him if he wants to get punched out again. Julia breaks them up. She informs Misael that she will never give up the fight to have Danny with her. She adds that she will not prevent Misael from seeing Danny. She would never want him to have a bad opinion of his father.

35. Ester is going off the deep end saying that she will not let them take another son from her. Max says he knows her pain but asks if she does not realize that all of this is a result of the mistakes that she has made. They could lose all possibility of ever getting custody. Does she want to run way with Denis? Max admits he has been too quiet all along. He will not allow her to make things worse. Ester just doesn't want to give him up. He says it isn't easy but they will take good care of him. She FINALLY gives in saying she does not want them to come for Denis. She wants them to take him so they can see where he will be staying.

36. The judge starts his announcement of the decision saying that it is clear to him that this a case of "violencia vicaria" (gender violence by proxy). Misael can get with that until he hears the definition. The judge explains it is when a father uses his children to hurt their mother. Misael doesn't like that definition. The judge explains that Misael acted in a premeditated way to put mistaken ideas in his son's head about his mother. For the safety of the child, custody is awarded to Julia. Misael jumps up and demands to know what about him?? The judge tells him to sit down. He will allow Misael to see his son but only at a family services facility where he will be supervised by specialists. He is also going to be forced to go to psychological counseling where he will be taught the proper manner in which to interact with his child and how he relates with women. Misael is so angry he is beside himself. He points at and glowers at Julia and storms out of the court room. Julia and Rodolfo are overjoyed.

37. Julia gives the good news to Chepina and Gina. They are all overjoyed except for Danny who is bummed out by the whole court experience. Julia assures him that everything is going to be fine. She gets a text from Angel asking how it all turned out. Danny asks if it is Angel and if she is going to see him, can he come along. She says of course.

38. Misael calls up Braulio with the bad news. He lost the custody fight. Braulio tells him he is sure he should able to see his child. Misael needs to get even with Julia. Braulio warns him not to do anything stupid. Misael says he will not do anything that isn't allowed.

39. Braulio sends Celeste a message. He will be late coming home from work. He loves her.

40. That evening, Angel, Julia and Danny have a nice get together outside at the complex. Chepina takes Danny inside for supper. Julia and Angel stay outside being romantic! Little do they know that Misael has been watching them and listening to them from the shadows. Julia has to go and meet with her friends.

41. Misael ends at a club getting drunk singing (karaoke?) and making a jack *** of himself proving he is a big man with loads of$$.

42. Misael calls Braulio again saying they took his family away from him and that is not fair. Braulio agrees but he needs to calm down. He was exonerated. Misael doesn't know what the money is good for if he doesn't have his family with him. He is all alone and he wasn't even the one driving. Braulio tries to get him to calm down again. Braulio suggests he stop drinking and not say anymore. Misael says he will drink all he wants and say whatever he likes. Braulio says okay. He thinks that Misael should tell him where he is and he will have a last drink with him.

43. Angel explains to Mirna that he never met Bermejo person. There was one video call. Everything was always through Braulio. It all reminded him of something that Silvano told him before dying. He was going to tell him something that was going to change his life. He didn't know if that was in relations to the Funes company or something else. Angel has a bad feeling. He was not driving the truck and doesn't know who was. Ester is sure he is lying. Julia asks Celeste if she went to the place she asked about and if she found anything. She explains it was a place where Misael was staying. Celeste found nothing. Rayo asks what did she want to tell them all. Ester asks if it was that i her husband Braulio had committed fraud at the Funes company which was discovered in an audit. Celeste doesn't know what to say.

45. Jero is at his food truck. He sees Braulio and a drunken Misael arguing about something on the street. Braulio is trying to quiet a drunken Misael down as he raves on about having done everything he was ever asked to and wanting to be left alone.

Camino #63 Part 1

Daniela has discovered an intruder in her bedroom. She squares her shoulders and tells Fausto this is my bedroom, pointing at him for emphasis. No, it is theirs he asserts. Daniela asks for more time – she just isn’t ready. Fausto is insistent; if they want to reconcile they can’t remain apart.. Dani tries unsuccessfully to explain about Memo but he doesn’t want words, he wants actions that prove she is no longer interested in that trailero. He advances towards her, trying to be so sincere pleading he wants to be the only man in her life. He kisses her and she physically seems to recoil. He assures her he won’t force her to fulfill her wifely duties (as I swallow hard to keep the bile down). He still loves her, they are together, surely they can start over. Isa deserves stability and harmony. Won’t she try; for the sake of their daughter?

After hearing Ursula admit she followed Memo, he is understandably beside himself and fires back verbally. He stares at Ursula saying she told him she trusted him but she lied! Why would she do that – it’s sick! Macario tries to intervene but Memo snarls he should stay out of it, he will deal with him later. Ursula pleads with her usual “te lo juro!” (surely the first of many to follow) claiming she tried to control herself (try harder dear the patio urges). Memo says she was doing so well but now she is only pretending to be understanding and accepting. I have confidence in you but not that woman Ursula fires back. She asks again for forgiveness but Memo has heard enough. He won’t continue; he will leave before he says something he will regret.

Next, Macario faces Memo’s wrath. Memo chides Macario for trying to take advantage of his family who has given him so much for so many years. Macario argues that he too has given the family a lot (of grief!). He broke his back working for his father and he hasn’t even earned his own trailer! Memo reminds him that when Macario met Amparo he had nothing. And in “gratitude” now he wants to take away what belongs to Amparo and his family…the fruit of his parents’ labor! Macario tells him he is only following his lawyer’s advice and he is not leaving there until he gets what he deserves for putting up with Amparo for so many years! That day they will have to give up half of the truck stop…the law says so! Memo pushes him and retorts that is not fair! Macario taunts him as he plays with that stupid blue dice. He points out that it’s legal and snidely mocks that the truth hurts. Memo warns that he won’t win over the Santos!

In the kitchen, Este is boiling over. No, she isn’t laboring over a hot stove, she is ravenous and ready to consume Sebastian, whole if need be. He reminds Este he has a girlfriend, not once but multiple times. I sense he is reminding himself of this fact as well. Este is very discrete; it will be their own special top secret. Sebastian says he is very much in love with Lupita. Este says in her absence he turned into someone who takes orders. Sebastian threatens that if she doesn’t stop, she will need to leave. Este asks he not be angry; think of all the history they have. He tells her that is in the past; she cheated on him. He admits he loved her but after what she did he swore he wouldn’t take another girl seriously. Then he met Lupita who awakened his heart to love and reinvented his life. When she sneers that Lupita is simple, Sebastian demands she respect her. Lupita makes him feel like a better man. Este does admit he has changed but she knows he still likes her. She coos that she is still available. His lips may say no but his eyes say otherwise. She mouths him a kiss as he is clearly shaken.

Camino #63 Part 2

Are you all right tio Ursula asks. Macario tells her Memo was taking his anger for her out on him. Ursula asks if they talked about her…did he speak up to defend her? She fumes that she just can’t seem to control herself…her head is stronger than she is. Mac laughs that she is getting worse than her mother! Ursula turns her sights and venom to Daniela. She can’t stand that woman and knows she is trying to steal her man! Ursula admits she is dying of jealousy and wishes she could strangle Daniela! Macario would feel sorry for her but she’s up a creek. He reminds her that even though she was married to Memo, she was rolling around with Cesar who thought the baby was his. It wouldn’t surprise him if Memo left her…she will tire him out! Ursula threatens that if Memo leaves her she will kill him and then shoot herself!

Lupita tries to comfort the inconsolable Gab. Gaby confides the jig is up – everything is out in the open. Their mother found out she quit school. Lupita is surprised as Gaby admits to being very embarrassed, she is a failure! Amparo is so disappointed that she didn’t even want to punish her. Lupita somewhat understands their mother since Gaby has let her down before. Gaby’s pattern is to repeat the same thing; she leaves things undone then keeps quiet about it. Gaby is very sad because she can’t figure out what she wants to do in life…why is she like that she cries berating herself? She feels so guilty! Lupita puts a loving and protective arm around her sister as they hug.

Memo returns and tells Ursula that they can’t continue like this…they are only hurting each other. What can he do to help her feel secure.? Ursula just needs him to love her. She knows she messed up; she is so afraid of losing him that she does things without realizing! Memo reminds her (for the millionth time) that Daniela is his daughter‘s mother; if he could stop seeing her to make Ursula feel better he would, but he can’t! He will have to see her…and that %#* Fausto for the rest of his life! Ursula knows and asks to be forgiven (I’ve lost count). Memo forgives her; he loves her and they are expecting a child; he swears that he wants their marriage to work, but she must do her part. Ursula knows she has a problem….and swears it won’t happen again. Memo looks defeated and deflated as she lies with her head in his lap.

JuanPa is heartily eating his breakfast as Eugenio comes in and gives him a hug. “Pops” Sebastian smiles! Eugenio is smiling broadly, delighted to be home. That is until Sebastian tells him that Este is there. Eugenio, shaking his head as though Sebastian has just disclosed he has the bubonic plague, warns him to be careful; he knows full well what she is like. At that JP turns on his stool and gives him “the eye”. Este is synonymous with problems and he knows it Eugenio (rightly) affirms. He is going to rest before going to the office. He notes the time and Sebastian assures him he hasn’t been late for work. After Sebas gives him an update on his project, Eugenio is happy to see him so excited and tells him to continue that path…and JP should continue training and getting medals.

Amparo gives Chema a blessing as he stands adorably in his uniform. He loves being in school with Isa, but some of the kids are bothering him. Macario overhears and tells Chema to defend himself. Eugenio calls Amparo (Macario clearly hearing her greeting) as her face lights up. He is back and dying to see her. He will drop by later and Amparo will be waiting! She is thrilled and his smile is wide. Macario is in the background, teaching his far too young son some boxing moves.

Camino #63 Part 3

Isa greets her mother in the kitchen as Fausto walks in and kisses Daniela on the lips. Isa is so excited about going to school. She is “super-duper” excited to see her parents together. Isa tells them that Sofi’s parents are divorcing and Fausto assures that won’t happen with them because he and her mother are together now more than ever…and they are a grand family! Isa is so happy with the news. Fausto stands between Isa and Daniela, an evil thorn between two roses, holding their hands in his. Daniela throws Isa a kiss as she leaves. Chuchita, who has been viewing this entire scene with disapproving pursed lips asks what just happened? Dani tells her it’s best for everyone; she must tear Memo out of her heart! And what better way than to repair and recapture her marriage with Fausto. She has to hold onto what she does have in her life. She doesn’t want to feel that she may have been unjust with Fausto and didn’t give themselves the opportunity to see if they can get back what they had…for their sakes but mostly for her daughter.

Macario and Chema walk outside with Macario in deep thought, recalling Fausto’s directive to get Chema out of Isabela’s school. He urges Chema to defend himself like the man that he is. Then, he poisons the lad’s mind by saying rich people like Eugenio can’t be trusted. Chema is a superhero and Eugenio’s the villain who wants to steal away his mother! They’re going to be nice to him but then force him to call Eugenio “papa” and they can’t allow that. This is a mission for Monoman—to do away with the arch villain! Chema will not allow him to steal his mama! Naturally, Macario then tells him this is only between them. Scum.

It's a somewhat better morning over at Ursula and Memo’s. Ursula wishes a far less agitated Memo well on his trip. She swears that she is not going to fool or lie to him because of her jealousy; she is going to start a new chapter (this repetitious lie is truly trying the patio’s patience). Proving how very cunning she can be, Ursula declares it won’t be long before “Martín” is born. Naturally, Memo is ecstatic that the baby will be named after his mother Martina. Memo is barely out of the door when Ursula makes a call…she needs to talk; it’s very important!

Macario calls Fausto, telling him he has told his son to get into a fist fight with the snotty kids at school…so he can get expelled!

Chema, Isa and Sofi lie on the grass on their backs facing up to the sky. Sofi talks about her parents’ divorce while Isa is happy her parents are sleeping in the same room. Chema says although his father lives closer, his parents are still at odds. Sofi thinks they will divorce. Chema shouts that the worst of all of this is that there’s a man who wants to steal his mother; he doesn’t want another father. Isabela’s alarm is evident as she looks over worriedly.

Eugenio arrives wearing a suit with a red tie looking very dapper. Eugenio tells Amparo it’s been months since they have been together. Amparo said being in contact just wasn’t the same. They share several sweet kisses as Grace gapes in the background like a wide mouth bass.

Camino #63 Part 4

Oh no, Sebastian’s doorbell rings and it’s Lupita! Naturally, there is no one to open the door except Este, clad only in Sebastian’s shirt. Lupita, shocked to see her asks Este what she is doing there. Este smiles she spent the night there and did everything but sleep!

Ursula and Daniela meet at a restaurant. Ursula tells Daniela she is seven and a half months along. She natters on, seemingly oblivious that Daniela can’t and won’t look her in the eye. However, Dani does eye Ursula’s stomach suspiciously. She thanks Dani for allowing Memo to see Isabela, he was so excited. She understands Memo will need to see and speak with Daniela, as she is Isabela’s mother. She puts her hands on Dani’s arm as Dani shrinks away. Ursula (claims) she doesn’t want any further problems or misunderstandings between them. Ursula admits the jealousy Daniela provokes in her does her no good. She needs to be calm because of the pregnancy. Then, she has the temerity to ask Daniela if they can be friends! As she struggles to process the incongruity of this request, Dani stares…

Memo is at the jail visiting Zulema. He introduces himself and wants to talk about Olivia.

Lupita asks Este if she slept there. Este replies that why she didn’t sleep at all! Lupita desperately asks where Sebastian is. Este explains he is at work. After a few non-veiled innuendos, she asks if Lupita has a message for him. Este runs the inexperienced (and completely gullible) Lupita off with little effort.

Daniela answers Ursula’s request with her usual honesty, saying they’ve had far too many problems between them. Ursula admits she has been very rude to and insulting to Daniela (an understatement if ever we’ve heard one). She swears she doesn’t know why she acts like that. Daniela asks if she has sought professional help. Ursula asks her to keep this to herself but (lies) says she is getting help and that person suggested Ursula make peace with Dani. Ursula pleads that they be friends. Not for her sake but for that of their children. Daniela, who has been in utter agony through all of this finally agrees to set aside their misunderstandings for this children’s sake. And yes, they can be friends.

Sebas is upset because Fausto cancelled his meeting. Fausto tells him that he doesn’t have the authority to set up meetings…and as long as his father is away, what Fausto says goes!

TA DA – She’s returned!! “Hello Fausto” Karen says, her glacial eyes emitting death rays. Fausto states.

Memo tells Zulema he is a trucker. He explains how he met and loved Olivia. She rejected his marriage proposal because she wanted someone who was more than a simple trucker. That was the last time he saw her. Zulema wonders why he is telling her all this. Memo explains he wants her to know that he wasn’t the person who hurt Zulema. She never told him she was pregnant and he found out only recently that he has a daughter. He continues that a woman came to talk to her and she told the woman things that were not true. Zulema asserts that she only told the woman everything she witnessed Olivia suffer through. Memo suspects that Olivia left him because there was another man in her life and from what she told Dani, he must not be wrong. It was that man who ended Olivia’s life. Memo wants to know who the man is so he can make him pay for all the harm he has caused.. Zulema doesn’t know who the man is; Olivia never told her his name; she would just say that the man was the devil himself!

Camino #63 Part 5

Fausto asks if Karen found what she was looking for…a man that would love her. Karen replies that instead she pampered herself, shed her former self and found her new self. Most of all she found the strength to fight for what she wants. Fausto is glad because it did him good that she was away. Things are better than ever with Dani…they are even sleeping together. It is so much easier to manipulate Dani this way. Karen wonders where the Fausto who loved her is; is he really going to pretend that he didn’t miss her or that he is dying to kiss he?. Fausto tells her that what they had is dead and buried. Karen is leaving to review all the disasters that Fausto has caused during her absence.

Aaron stops Karen in the hall saying how beautiful she is. Karen scathingly says he is a nobody with illusions of grandeur. Fausto has called him his dog so many times, all he needs to do now is bark. Aaron thinks she is mad (is he insane??) so they should talk so he can explain. She tells him to make an appointment. He declares he still loves her to which she spits out disdainfully that he is pathetic! He smiles as she leaves as I admit he is an enigma to me as I can’t tell what he really thinks or feels for her (if anything at all).

Zulema tells Memo she will tell him the truth. She has made sure her children are safe and she knows she will remain in prison for the rest of her life. Olivia did tell her about him (Memo), the trucker she didn’t value; she spent her time wondering what her life would have been like had she married him. Memo asks what she would say about the other man. Zulema replies that the other man had a lot of money and that was what interested Olivia. She made him believe that the baby she was expecting was his so that he would marry her. When the baby was born, she was told that the baby died. Zulema knows now that the baby lived. She wants Memo to know that Olivia regretted everything she did to Memo. When she was burning with high fever, she would call out his name and prayed that one day he would forgive her.

Looks like lunch was on Dani. As she pockets the receipt, Isa writhes in pain as Dani grows increasingly concerned saying this isn’t normal. As the contractions APPEAR to worsen, Daniela helps Ursula arise and leads her out, insisting she see the doctor.

Grace asks a puzzled Amparo if everything is all right. Amparo muses as to why there is so little money in the cash register. Grace lies that there aren’t that many customers. A smiling Gabi arrives ready to work! Amparo is not impressed as she has been there since 6. Leo calls Gaby over and asks what is going on. Gaby admits that Amparo is upset with her; she disappointed her mother. She asks Leo to tell her what happened to him.

Camino #63 Part 6 (Last)

Memo doesn’t understand why Olivia never told him she was in prison. Zulema tried to convince her to call him but she was too ashamed. She always swore that she was innocent. Memo doesn’t understand how Olivia found out that her daughter was alive. Zulema supposes that she found out after she was released from prison. She hopes Olivia at least saw her daughter from afar. Memo thinks so because Olivia found out who adopted her. Zulema comments that Dani seems like a good person and hopes Olivia died in peace knowing that her daughter found a mother who takes care of her and loves her.

Sebastian is holding an out of conference room meeting as Lupita stomps by, head high, staring straight ahead. Mi amor he says happily going over to greet her. She pushes him away, saying she thought he had changed but he hasn’t; he’s the same cad he’s always been. That put down is accompanied by a rounding slap as Sebastian looked stunned.

Zulema thinks Olivia may have found out that her daughter was alive from Sandra, the nurse who would take care of her when she was pregnant. Sandra must have been the one who told Olivia that the baby was dead. Sandra would bring Olivia meds and whatever she needed when she was in prison, probably because she felt guilty. Memo asks where he can find her but Zulema doesn’t know. Memo asks her to call him if she remembers anything else.

Ursula’s “doctor” explains she and the baby are fine and that it is normal to experience contractions. Ursula then looks Dani in the eye, triumphantly urging her to look at the ultrasound, to see her baby, Memo’s son. Ursula, not content with domination, insisting on complete and utter decimation declares that now that she’s seen Dani looking at her baby, she sees in Dani’s eyes that Dani would never do anything to take away his father.

I don’t believe for a moment that Ursula had contractions. To my complete dismay, she could not have planned or executed that scene any better. Machiavellian but completely effective.

What's up with Flavia and that computer throwing? It's weird to see a mother throwing her son's laptop.
Max only now decides to act. Ester still needs help because 'he's Ivan's replacement' view is still there. So whoy called child support services? Ebe should have apologised a long time ago.
Doesn't Ana S haveanything else to do? How does she have the time to worry about Angel getting back with J when she has a company to run and her social media?
Ester gets way too much free time. Braulio is right.
Homero's observations about parental love were interesting. Given how many couples get divorced, he might be right. But then there are people like Flavia, who don't give a damn about their kids. Then there's Max who is so absent you'd think he's abroadsomewhere. So no love is eternal then.

I was so disappointed that Sebastian still liked Stefi. She just feels more his type but at the same time seems so typical and annoying.
'new' Karen. Ni tu misma te lo crees, as the saying goes. Why even being away from Fausto doesn't seem tohave cured her? Unless she has a plan of revenge but if Sebastian still fancies a chick who cheated on him, I can believe Karen still likes Fausto. How did such an ass get someone like Karen to fall in love with him. She's horrible, but she can have anyone. Aren't there anyunmarried men who are just as mean and selfish as Karen?

Diana, Thank you for this wonderful retelling of all last night's drama! You got the good, the bad, the ugly, the uglier (Mac) and the ugliest (Ursa) and captured it all with flair and humor.

First things first, big fan of Karen's new look! She looks like she's ready to eat a few people whole and we have all been waiting for her to come back and do it, so let's go!

Mac the rat proves once again that he's not even loyal to his kids as we once thought, watching that scum manipulate Chema is revolting! I can't wait for his anvil.

Ursa befriending Dani is a game of course, and I know she was faking it all but it would have been a good idea I think, if she was sincere. I don't know for sure, because I'm not a jealous person and I've never been in that situation but it seems like, if sincere, becoming friends might be a good way to overcome some of the bad feelings and create stability for the family.

It bugs me to no end that Lupita slaps first and will probably ask questions never... I get that she's young, in love, inexperienced because Sebas is her first novio, etc etc etc. But that isn't communication. And I don't think Sebas still likes Este. I think his pride likes the fact that she's come crawling back and that maybe he has a certain hormonal reaction to her coming on to him, especially if it's been a minute and we know he isn't sleeping with Lupita; but I don't think he's truly interested in her. He's playing with fire though and if Este and his history of making not so great decisions have anything to say about it, he'll probably get burned sooner than later.

I wanted to throw something at the scene every time Ursa promised 'it won't happen again', she's admitted several times she can't control it so how can she promise anything?

It's heartbreaking to watch Chema, Sophie, and Isa laying on the grass worrying about divorce and keeping their parents together, especially when two of those parents are Satan and a Rat!!! These angels need to be thinking of something else. I always wondered if it's natural for kids to feel like their parents should be together or if they adopt whatever narrative is taught to them. We know Chema and Isa have both been manipulated to view things certain ways, but no idea what Sophie was or wasn't told. I think this way because my parents got divorced when I was younger than any of these children and I don't remember ever thinking anything about wishing my parents would stay together or get back together, I don't recall ever being angry about it or resenting it; but than maybe I wasn't told that I should??? I don't know, just a thought.

Darcy, thank you for capturing exactly how Karen looked! I meant to write something but time got away. The lips were redder, the skin more pale but yes, she is out for blood! Love it. Also, thanks for your kind words.

Sebas simply hasn't shed his lust for Este. Not to be unkind but she isn't loveable or even likeable! Lupita isn't experienced enough to see who she is and she is going to take flight like a wounded bird every time.

We could start a drinking game (water, tea, coffee or something stronger) and have a sip every time Ursu promises to change. We'd get our water quotient for the day in for sure.

In terms of a parents divorce, children are affected in different ways. Some handle it admirably. As a child, I did not handle my parents divorce well and carried my anger with me through adulthood until I finally managed to come to terms. But yes the "angels need to be thinking of something else". Very well said.

Mirna's about-face still feels rushed, but I guess this means she learned her lesson. But will she get her money back? Can she find at least three other victims? How much does she owe the fake Barbie doll?

Misael will make one more attempt and Angel will have to rescue Julia, Danny, or both.

Celeste will end up widowed or divorced when Braulioo gets his just desserts.

Flavia punishing Teo by breaking his laptop may be a novela first but I've heard of such incidents in the real world. One father in North Carolina actually snatched his teen daughter's laptop, threw it on the ground outside the house and shot it several times. He became an internet sensation for this. Note that this happened 11 years ago.

CPS should really go after Flavia.

Thanks, Jarifa, a great read with breakfast! I was clueless as to what made the judge give Danny to Julia so thanks for that information. I love seeing Misael so distraught! He deserves it, and more. I wonder if he’ll live to spill the beans!

I’m not a violent person but there are two people I want to slap. I want to slap that silly, cocky smile off Braulio’s face. And I feel like slapping Celeste for once again suppressing what she knows about her husband. I’m beginning to think they deserve each other.

I loved how Mirna defended Rayo against Flavia and also when she smiled as she overheard Rayo telling Homero that Mirna could do Angel’s job.
And then going to work with Angel. I felt bad for her as she had to listen to Braulio insult her.

Flavia is a real wacko. How did I not notice it before. Going to Rayo’s house and screaming and then throwing Teo’s laptop! He needs to go live with Max. And Max needs to encourage Ester to get help. She still talks as if Dennis is hers. There’s not enough episodes left to fix her problems.

I can’t wait to see how this all comes together at the end but know I’m going to miss this show!

waterlily, I so enjoyed your questions. As for Ester, she would never last at a job in the real world. She always has to go somewhere. Really? Homero’s musings on love were interesting in exposing the the mindset of the philanderer that he was.

Urban, I covered “Vencer el desamor” and “Vencer el pasado” and things were popping until the end of those so I suspect it will be the same here with only four episodes left. As for Misael, he still he has a desire to get even with Julia whatever that means. Then there is Braulio with Celeste literally holding key to everything. It didn’t surprise me when Flavia killed the laptop. I remember that incident in the clip.

As I noted in the recap, it drove me crazy that Angel still hasn’t contacted a lawyer. He and Julia are like the “slowskys”when it comes to taking action.

Liz, I never had heard of “gender violence by proxy” before but it sure made sense as to what had happened in this situation. I always learn something in these novelas. Your choice for the slap fest is right on. Max should send Flavia to get help along with Ester. They both need it! I am going to miss this one, too.

Karen looked different but couldn’t put my finger on what was different. Hope she is over Fausto.

The one good thing was Memo finding out Olivia was sorry and would have liked to be with him.

Sebastian was a fool to let the ex girlfriend stay there. He deserved that slap for not making the right decision.

Macario stoops lower with each episode. I think he’s adding to Ursula’s craziness by bringing up her mother. But she did sound pretty crazy herself.

We should find out tonight what Karen did or learned while in Europe.

So many wry and witty comments but “rat of a husband” and “(UH, TRY CALLING A LAWYER!!!)” were but several of many.

At this point, Celeste is guilty not revealing what she knows. Braulio is making her a silent accomplice.

Thank heavens Julia was awarded custody. Ana Sofia admitting Angel and Julia will get together over her dead body. Hmmm.

“Homero says her mother told him of a great love she had when she was about Rayo's age. Rayo wants to hear all about it. Homero knows nothing else. Margarita never would talk about it”. So, what is this??

Good morning Liz and thank you!

"Macario stoops lower with each episode. I think he’s adding to Ursula’s craziness by bringing up her mother. But she did sound pretty crazy herself" was exactly right. His taunting is definitely serving to push her closer to the edge, not that she needs his nudging, she is getting there just fine on her own.

I was also glad Memo knew Olivia lived to regret her decision. Such a tragedy. While her suffering can never be completely atoned for, the revelation of Fausto's evilness will hopefully give her spirit a bit of consolation.

Poor Leo seems to be nursing his hurt in a cocoon of lonliness.

Great job, Diana.

Glad Karen is back and I think she is out to get Fausto, who deserves it. Her new look makes me think that the actress should get a chance to play Morticia Addams... or Erzebeth Bathory.

Lupita needs help. You don't charge into your novio's business meeting and embarrass him to death like this. This is what Estefania would do and she should be locked up in a padded room.

I really began spitting fire when Macario said he deserved the lands because of "all those years of putting up with Amparo." What nerve. He would just end up gambling it away.

As far as children and divorce goes, I went through the same thing. Children don't understand why divorce happens unless they witness violence or serious ongoing verbal abuse. Many children blame themselves, which is very sad. Many adult children get angry when their parents divorce because it upsets the status quo. They need to get a clue.

In 2000 in the US there are only about 2.7 divorces for every 1,000 married people in the USA while in Mexico it was 7.4. Couldn't find later data for comparison.

Ursula is getting really paranoid and Macario is no help to her; all he cares about is what he expects to bleed from the Santos family. To cooperate with him in those schemes is against Ursula's current best interests. Viewerville knows that her baby was sired by Cesar but probably some of us are predicting that Memo and Daniela will eventually be raising that baby because Ursula will either end up dead or in the giggle jacket.

To be honest, I like the idea of Lupita and Sebastian more than the reality. Inexperienced Lupita is pure in matters of the heart. A young man like Sebastian with his experience and lingering thorn in his side (Este) might be too much as her first foray into love. She needs to mature emotionally. Your comment that barging into Sebas' meeeting is exactly what Este would do was spot on!

The US divorce rates you quoted shocked me. I thought it would be much higher.

I don't have much hope for Ursula's long term survival either. I am also speculating Memo and Dani will end up with Martin.

Jarifa, "The Whole Banana and a Half" edition is terrific. I don't know how you cover all this action and emotions so clearly and so quickly each day, but I'm just glad that you do. When you wrote "rat of a husband," I literally pictured Celeste's wedding picture with a rat in tails as her groom. ;> Thanks for defining "violencia vicaria." So funny that, at first, clueless Misael was nodding in agreement.

Mirna sure made a quick turnaround. I don't have the faith that Rayo does that Mirna is as smart as Angel, but I can see that Mirna overhearing Rayo's compliment gave her motivation.

Ester certainly has her issues, but I love that she can't keep her mouth shut about Braulio. She struck Celeste right between the eyes when she blurted out about Braulio's fraud at Funes. Celeste, time to talk.

Rayo, Homero has been good to you since you met him, but he is no one to give advice about relationships. Glad you set him straight about women working.

Thanks, Diana. Yes, that scene between Ebe and Jero was so emotional. I think they have done a good job with that plot line even though they killed off Lenar. I still want to see what is happening with Donato and the boys since he was a father figure for quite of few years. "At this point, Celeste is guilty not revealing what she knows. Braulio is making her a silent accomplice." YES! Here s hoping that the shock wears off quickly and Celeste can spring into action and turn that creep Braulio in. It would be the sweetest justice if she were the one to do it.

Niecie, thanks. ITA that it was funny to see Misael just nodding along to "violencia vicaria" thinking that they had gotten Julia on something. He and Braulio could easily be brothers from different mothers. "Margarita’s great love when she was Rayo’s age? Super recap, Diana. My fave among many great lines: "Macario argues that he too has given the family a lot (of grief!)." - lol!

Eeooh, I hated seeing Fausto in Dani's bedroom, much less him trying to put the moves on her. Just no. "He kisses her and she physically seems to recoil." - nailed it.

Slapping Sebas (and I'm guessing there was so much fire in Lupita's eyes that she didn't notice the clients) is fine by me. That's what he gets for 1) being dumb enough to let Este spend the night and 2) being thoughtless enough to not tell Lupita beforehand and his reasoning for it. No siree Bob, Lupita will not let him walk all over her.

I'm glad to see Karen and Eugenio back. Hopefully Eugenio will wizen up Amparo about how to support Gaby. I loved Karen's retort to Aaron to make an appointment through her assistant and maybe it'll get scheduled in SIX MONTHS. Ha!

Mac is hoping Ursula gets full-on crazy so it'll be easier to steal her baby. Silly girl thinks he's her ally. As Aaron said earlier, Macario would sell his own mother. Idiot trying to derail his son's education on Fausto's orders. Ugh!

VENCER LA AUSENCIA #77 Page 1

Notes from the couch the gran final takeoff edition

Put on your seat belts. Tonight we are taxiing down the runway and taking off for what I am expecting to be a turbulent flight which will end with a gran final landing on Monday!!!

1. Celeste tells Ester that she supports Braulio. She says that he warned her that something strange might turn up in the audit but it was nothing . Ester cannot believe she allows herself to be manipulated like she is by Braulio. Celeste Knows that they do not like her husband but he is incapable of committing fraud let alone to the Funes family. Ester is especially nasty and tells Ester to open her eyes already. Celeste says her husband is a loving man who would do anything for her. Ester says that is true because he is manipulator. Celeste only sees a person who supports her in the good times and in bad times. Ester will not give it up. Celeste will not apologize for having a husband who is worthwhile. She has heard enough of the criticisms and insults directed at her and her husband. She leaves the gathering.

2. Angel tells Mirna that they will never know what Silvano wanted to tell him. Mirna asks if he knew about Braulio's fraud. Angel says they barely knew each other. Angel says AnaS could know something. Mirna volunteers to talk to he and find out what she can. Angel likes that tea but he first wants to tell Mirna why he allowed AnaS to join teh Funes company and why he hired Misael.

3. Rayo tells Ester and Julia the it seems that Celeste was going to tell them something but then thought better of it. Julia adds that according to Celeste, Braulio has always been a good husband. That is why she defends him. Ester agrees but adds that Braulio has always manipulated and controlled Celeste. Taking time to think about it, Ester says maybe Celeste wanted to tell them something about her pregnancy. Rayo says maybe about her illness. Julia says maybe when her move out the apartment complex has been scheduled. .

4. Celeste goes home and cries. She just can't take it. She thinks back on all of the good times with Braulio. She takes out the mystery key to Misael's apartment and thinks back about what Rayo told her about somebody listening to messages on her mother's lost phone. She remembers how she asked Braulio to trace Margarita's phone for Rayo and how he told them it was found in the USA. Did Misael have it? Celeste cannot believe it but has to conclude Braulio must have Margarita's cellphone.

5. Braulio is talking to a drunk Misael. Misael is criticizing him for not coming there to be out with him as one of his buddies. Braulio has to explain that they are accomplices which is not the same thing as friends. Braulio suggests they go get the rest of the money and say farewell once and for all. Misael refuses. he is between being hung over and drunk. it is better they take care of that tomorrow. Braulio agrees but tells him he cannot do anything else stupid. It would be for the best that he disappear. Take his son with him and leave the country with the money. Misael is not in the mood for more problems with the judicial system and end up in jail. He doesn't want to commit a crime. Braulio teases him saying his going to turn into being henpecked. Is that the kind of real macho he is?? Braulio thought he was going to get even with Julia. What better way than to take her son away from her. Misael is more interested in getting even with Angel for messing with his wife. Braulio tells him to think about it.

6. Ester insists that Misael has to know who was driving the truck or have a good idea who was. They have to get the truth out him. Julia makes a point of saying she is not defending him but it is possible that he doesn't know. Rayo says that either her mother and Iván knew who was driving the truck or there is the possibility that they were forced into the truck. Ester thinks that the police have done nothing but she will call Matehaula tomorrow to see what they do know. All Ester wants is justice. Julia and Rayo agrees that the culprit should not be allowed to have acted with impunity.

7. Ester tells Max that she called the police in Matehuala and they have opened a new investigation into who was driving the truck but now they will need new evidence and it could take a long time. Ester cannot believe the ineptitude. Max tells her they have to be calm like it or not. She raves on until Max tells her that they need to turn Denis over to family services today. Ester gets all upset saying she cannot do it. Max is sorry but that is how it is. Would she rather that they come and remove him? She says no. They can go together.

8. At breakfast, Braulio is wondering what has gotten into Celeste . He knows her far too well not to know that something is wrong. Celeste answers that she also thought that she knew him but she can tell him that she doesn't. He flippantly wonders what she is going to tell him. She says that she knows that he was driving the food truck. She tells him not to lie. The day of the accident he was on a business trip. That is why his sciatica hurt more than it usually does. He was in the truck at the moment of the crash that is why blood of his type was found on the driver seat of the truck. He says no but he will explain everything to her. She then realizes that he must have seen Margarita and Iván die. He was there. She tells him not to deny it. She tells him that there is proof. The authorities have a piece of bloody gauze that belongs to the person who was driving. She goes to get the mystery key, The gauze was found in the apartment to which the mystery key belongs. She shows him the key. Celeste wants the whole truth. She needs to know what happened in the accident.

9. At Angel's, Angel, Mirna , Rayo and Homero are talking about when Mirna was a kid. She was a demon child. She laughs saying she could not have been. Angel has to agree with his dad. He adds that Mirna behaved herself if there was something sugary in the mix, if not, she bit, hit, spit, scratched . . . she did everything! They all enjoy a good laugh. Mirna is wondering if they are saying she was addicted to sugar. Thyme laugh some more. Rayo says it is great that the have such good memories of their childhoods, not like her. Homero asks why not? He wants to hear everything about hers while his head is still working. Rayo starts to talk saying that she was always rather mischievous. She approaches Homero and touches him. He turns violent and yells for her to let him go. he wants to know way she is touching him. He yells for his wife. Where is she? Angel and Mirna jump up to protect Rayo. He demands to know what all of them are doing in his house. Angel and Mirna tells him that Maria told them that he was not to worry. She is coming for him. Everything is fine. Suddenly, Homero is back. Rayo offers to tell him anything he wants to know in his room. They leave. Angel and Mirna agree that they know their father is ill but are still hurt by seeing him when he has his episodes. They hug. Mirna says she is going to see AnaS to see what she can find out. She also is going to get acquainted with the Funes company with the idea that in the future when she is super involved, Angel will be free to do what he really wants to do. Angel smiles.
 

VENCER #3

10. Ester and Max turn over Denis. It turns out that Max is filing for custody and not Ester. They will be allowed to visit their grandson according the the regulations and visiting hours of family services. The representative tells Ester that this is a temporary stay until the custody issue with Max can be settled. She also tells them that Cinthia's family has no interest in Denis' custody.

11. Ester goes to work. Angel comes in asking if Braulio is here.No, he has not arrived yet. She asks how it is going with Braulio. He tells her how Braulio has managed to involve him and his father in all of his wrong handling of things. Ester cannot see how he could betray him after all the support they gave him. He tells her that Braulio also signed on a new partner through an act of deceit. He thinks that the new partner must be his accomplice. She asks if he is going to sue him. Angel says he is talking to a lawyer because he could be implicated in all of the crooked things that Braulio did. Angel gets a call from a warehouse.

12. Braulio has launched into almost a full-fledged confession to Celeste. With tears in his eyes, he admits that he got frightened when he saw that Iván and Margarita were dead and he fled. What else was he supposed to do. Celeste asks him How could he??? She cannot believe it. He tries to explain that he himself has thought back on that decision a thousand times. He is so sorry. Their memory torments him every night but what is done is done. He begs her to not despise him. He knows he should have said something but he didn't want to end up arrested and having to leave her alone. She is upset that he lied to her. He says it was just a matter of chance that he was driving. Would she rather have been a widow? What should have he done? He did it for her, their child, for them. Celeste says she understands him. He did not do it on purpose. He doesn't want any secrets between them. She has other questions: Did he end up with Margarita's cellphone? And another: How did the gauze with his blood on it end up in Misael's apartment. And another: Is Misael his accomplice who helped get rid of anything that could incriminate him?

13. After the phone call, Angel tells Ester that they are losing one of their warehouses that they rent. The owners have decided to sell the property. That is going to push back their deliveries. There are no other options at this time.They have to get their equipment moved out. Ester cannot believe that all this is happening in addition to the Braulio business. Ester also cannot believe that Braulio was as skilled as he was to gain Angel's trust. Angel agrees that ever since he came to work there, Braulio was so very supportive. Angel remembers that the day before the truck accident, he and his father were to go to Laredo resolve the problem with the money that Misael picked up. His father had an episode and Braulio went instead.

14. Braulio promises that he will explain everything to Celeste when the time is right but now, he is asking her to trust him. He wants her to tell him they are together in all this. Celeste agrees. If they are together in everything, she will trust him if he trusts her. She wants to know everything. He agrees. His cellphone rings. It is Misael. He has the money. They agree to meet. He tells Celeste he has to go out. He has things to do. They will talk when he gets back. He thanks her for her confidence in him and her love. She has no idea how happy she makes him. She reminds him they are in this together. Celeste is left sobbing.
 

VENCER #4

15. AnaS is over at Mirna's to chat. Mirna tells her that her father is having more of his episodes. Soon he will not know who they are. AnaS says at least their father is still alive as compared to her. Mirna asks if AnaS has any idea what her father wanted to tell Angel before he died? He said it was going to shake up his world. AnaS says she doesn't have the slightest idea. Mirna says she must know that her father Santino arranged for her father to get a loan from this guy Zac who really was her father's straw man. AnaS says that she doesn't know anything about that. Mirna says that AnaS's father wanted to corner her father so he could end up with the Funes company. Again, AnaS denies knowing anything. Mirna says that Angel found out about that from Armando who was the nurse that AnaS hired for them.

16. Julia is complaining about the AnaS video and the terrible effect it is having on her business. Gina insists she could have helped her out but she refused. Chepina insists that what Gina's doing is worthless. Even Rayo knows better. Julia warns Gina she better not do anything on her social network because she could bring her even more problems than she has.

17. Mirna wants to know what her father's intentions were in making that loan. AnaS says as long as they are talking about money, when is Mirna going to pay her back. AnaS talks about Mercury being in retrograde. Mirna says her horoscope says she doesn't deny she owes money but she has nothing to pay with. AnaS has a solution and offers her a job as her assistant since she knows her perfectly well. Mirna turns her down calling her mean and a classist. She used to appreciate her as friend until she realized what she was really like. AnaS calls her ingrateful . Mirna says she is going to do all she can to support her brother and Julia who is a woman with values. She can see Angel with Julia and her child as a family. AnaS is left with her mouth open in shock! AnaS tells her whenever knew she was such a fool and leaves but Mirna is left smiling with self-satisfaction.

18. Braulio meets with Misael in the parking garage. BTW, Braulio has on purple suit jacket and Misael a purple snake print shirt. Misael hands a bag of cash over to Braulio saying he took his cut. Braulio hopes he has given him the right amount. Misael assures him he has. Misael has thought about what Misael suggested to him. He is going to take Danny away from Julia. AnaS is going to help him. That makes Braulio laugh out loud. Misael says with her connections and followers, he will be able to get Danny out of the country. Misael laughs saying that is his issue. He gets back into his car and leaves.

19. The next day AnaS is on her social networks complaining about an ungrateful friend and how she detests her.. "Whatever" she doesn't need her. She has all of her followers! Misael interrupts her transmission. He knows that he owes her a favor but he is asking her to do him favor. She was just thinking about him. She tells him where she is. He is to come at once.

20. Ester runs into Julia and she starts in again about not being able to get it out ofter head that Misael did not know who was driving the truck. If there was another driver, he would have to have been from the Funes company. She imagines that Misael knew several. In the middle of the discussion, Julia brings up that Braulio got Misael the job as a favor for Celeste since he couldn't stand Misael himself. Ester says you do not have to be able to "stand somebody" in order for them to be your accomplice. Julia doesn't get it. Ester says it is obvious, obvious!
 

VENCER #5

21. AnaS is on her channel talking about how much she hates people who are ungrateful. Gina sees it and leaves knowing where she is.

22. Ester confronts Celeste about what she was going to tell them because that was the reason for their meeting in the first place. She is sure she is hiding something. Celeste says she only wanted to see them all. Ester refuses to believe her and asks if it had to do with Braulio and the Funes company. Ester says they talked about that already. She then asks if it had to do with Iván and Margarita because she knows that Braulio was up in Laredo the day before the accident. Angel confirmed it. Celeste tells her that one thing has nothing to do with the other. Ester is not convinced. Celeste explains that he flew up there on Funes company business. She doesn't know what else to tell her. Ester is not happy but leaves.

23. Jero runs into Ester as she is leaving. He asks if everything went well with Denis. She would rather not talk about it. He does tell her that last night he saw Misael and Braulio from the food truck . They were together. Misael was drunk and Braulio was holding him up. It looked like they were two buddies having good time. He knows they don't get on.

24. Braulio sends Ester a text thanking her for supporting him so much. He will never stop loving her and wants her to understand the reason behind some of his decisions. She answers that she loves him and will never leave him alone. She also will help him get rid of anything that might incriminate him. He texts that she has no idea how much he appreciates her supporting him.

25. Angel visits Braulio in his office and tells him that that he comes in peace. He only wants him to be honest, that he pays back what he needs to and that he stop threatening him. It is best that he do it now because their lawyer Lic Ricaño is analyzing how to defend them against him.. Braulio needs to believe if that happens, he will lose everything. Braulio says he has never planned on suing them for anything and so that Angel realizes that he also was acting in good faith, he is going to destroy anything that implicates the Funes family. he asks Angel if he agrees. Angel answers that Braulio must feel very supported by the new "disappearing" partner. Angel warns him not to be a smart *ss because he is on borrowed time. Braulio half smirks and nods. After Angel leaves. Braulio mutters that Angel the imbecile is the one on borrowed time.

26. Ester takes out her bulletin board and shows Jero how she has concluded that Braulio was the driver who killed Margarita and Iván. Jero tells her she needs to slow down. She doesn't have the evidence necessary to file a charge of murder against Braulio.

27. Mirna calls Angel to tell him that she didn't get much out of AnaS. he thanks he but would still leek to know how Misael got involved with Zac and Santino. Mirna suggests that Angel talk to AnaS. She ash seen former Pictograf that she is at Café Arte. He could give her a surprise visit. He hopes due to their friendship, she will finally be honest with him. Angel leaves.


 

VENCER #6

28. AnaS is at the café with Misael. She thinks that his plan is perfect. When he is gone with their son, Julia will realize how terribly she acted. Misael hopes that once Julia gets her anvil, stupid Angel will not go to console her. AnaS says that she'll be there to prevent Angel from doing that. Misael wants another beer but AnaS says no, he has drunk enough. Misael says he only needs help to get his son out of the country. After that, she will never hear from him again. AnaS agrees and says she needs him to drive her somewhere for the last time. First, she excuses herself to go to the washroom. Gina is spying on them from around a corner.

29. Jero tells Ester that he doesn't doubt that she has reasons for suspecting Braulio but she doesn't have overwhelming evidence. They cannot do anything with what she has. Ester knows where she will find the evidence she needs. She is going to Celeste's apartment. Jero follows.

30. Misael is waiting for AnaS. When Misael walks away from AnaS's SUV, Gina pretends to be AnaS and gets the key from the valet. She puts the key in the ignition and gets into the cargo area of the SUV where she tries to hide.

31. Celeste opens her door and Ester barges in demanding to know what she knows about Misael's and Braulio's schemes. Jero follows Ester and tries to calm her down. Celeste says she has no idea what Ester is talking about. Ester accuses her of covering up Braulio's schemes. Braulio comes in enraged saying that he can hear the shouting outside. Ester says she will scream for as long as it takes until she finds out who killed her son. Braulio asks what that has to do with them. Ester says it has nothing to do with Celeste but it has to do with him because he was driving the truck where her son and Margarita died. Braulio shakes his head.

32. AnaS comes out and Misael asks what took her so long. She says she ran into a friend. Misael asks the valet for the keys. He says they are in the SUV. Misael and AnaS get into the SUV. AnaS sits in the back seat and throws her bags into the storage area hitting Gina who is startled and starts to shout out. AnaS asks what she "the worst catwoman" ever is doing there. She tells Misael to get her out of her vehicle. As the two women argue, Misael notices Angel approaching the street. He cannot let this chance go. As Angel crosses the street, Misael says Angel is going to pay and revs teh SUV as he aims it for Angel.

Camino #64 Part 1

At the doctor’s, Ursula smugly urges Daniela to look at the ultrasound. See HER baby, MEMO’s son she crows triumphantly! Ursula, a very sore loser but also a very ungracious winner, gloats now that she’s watched Dani looking at her baby, she sees Dani would never do anything to take away his father. She oh so insincerely thanks Dani for accompanying her.

Leo is tearfully recounting last night’s events to Gaby. They loved the song, but him? Not so much. Monica kept his song, the song he had written. She stole it from him and there isn’t a da** thing he can do about it! When he explains that Monica tried to kiss him when they met up, Gaby thinks Monica retaliated because he rejected her! (I think she would have stolen the song regardless but I digress). Finally, light dawns and Leo is sadder but a bit wiser.

Sebastian is still smarting from Lupita’s slap. She is ranting, telling him he was being a cynic; he slept with his ex! Sebastian vehemently denies it, trying to explain but to no avail. He asserts Este did sleep at his house but swears nothing happened! His pleas fall on deaf ears.

Gaby approaches Amparo with a huge smile, offering to do inventory but Amparo, still freezing her out, tells her she will do it. She then asks if Gaby has spoken with Memo who was sacrificing much to help pay for her studies. Gaby promises she will. Gaby gets teary eyed as Amparo stalks off.

Chema tells his father that the kids are no longer bothering him. Macario is determined to teach him to defend himself and gifts him his very own skull cap. Chema isn’t really interested in boxing but he will be happy to spend time with Macario. Again, Macario swears Chema to secrecy. Amparo greets Chema with a warm hello yet he walks away! Amparo turns to Macario who beats a hasty retreat as he shows her his backward hand wave.

“Amiga” Daniela cries delightedly upon seeing her “dear” friend as Isabela follows suit, hugging her madrina happily. Daniela notices Karen’s new “luke” but tactfully does not ask why she chose to make herself over as Dracula’s wife. Karen has presents; she didn’t tell anyone when she was returning but of course she would never miss her goddaughter’s birthday.

Camino #64 Part 2

Gaby is fashionably dressed today, her eye makeup matching her pink and yellow head scarf, pink shirt and jewelry. Humberto enters the restaurant holding his arm. Gaby notices immediately and brings him water as Grace sneers in the background. He appreciates that Gaby always looks after and worries about him. Gabi says that is the least she can do. Humberto tells her that he knows what is happening with her and advises that sometimes one has to make mistakes to find one’s path. Gaby appreciates that he is always supportive and gives her advice. She hugs him as Memo comes in.

Amparo goes to see what is wrong with Chema. He yells that he doesn’t want another father! “Macario” she says knowingly.

Memo gently questions Gaby why she dropped out. Gaby responds that she really did try hard but she realized what she was studying is not what she wants to do. She tells him Amparo does know but she also needs to apologize to him as she also let him down. When Memo mentions that her siblings are good at studying, Gaby asserts that is also true of him. Memo tells her that he is disappointed; he thought she had found a good path, but she didn’t. When Gabi states she knows she failed them, Memo counters no, that the one she failed was herself. She is very young and although she thinks she has a long future before her, traversing the road of life occurs at lightning speed. Before she knows it, the years will have flown by and she will realize what little she has accomplished. He and Amparo’s anger will pass, but she needs to think of and focus on her future. He chides her asking if she expects JP to pay for everything? Gaby assures Memo that she does want to work…like her mother, like Ursula and her grandmother. Gaby wants to prove by her actions that she does listen to what they tell her. They end up smiling with a” Santos” chant and holding hands.

Chema is pulling a childish tantrum (which makes sense as he IS a child). Amparo asks Chema where he got that idea. He cries that she went out with Eugenio and will keep going out with him. He doesn’t want her to go out with him! Amparo assures him she and Eugenio are only friends but Macario will always be his father (poor kid). Chema yells he doesn’t want her to have friends!

Daniela has missed Karen. When Karen asks how things are going with Memo, Daniela tells Karen that Memo is Isabela’s biological father (boy she HAS been away a long time). Dani tells her Isa knows Memo is her father.

Camino #64 Part 3

Memo comes in to talk with Ursula. Smiling ear to ear, Ursula relates she has good news. She and Daniela are friends! Beard scratching ensues.

Amparo confronts Macario asking if he told Chema something bad about Eugenio. Macario denies it but Amparo verbalizes that she wouldn’t be at all surprised if he was up to his old dirty tricks. Macario, managing to look somewhat sincere despite his bald-faced lie, claims he is incapable of poisoning Chema. After all, he is only a child! Amparo tells him what Chema told her. Macario asks what her response was and she said she told Chema Eugenio is only a friend. Macario tells her she is the one who is lying to Chema (to which I sort of have to agree). Amparo spits out that she hasn’t gone as far as he has. When he claims he has done nothing wrong, she pulls an ace out of her sleeve (which Macario has NEVER done) saying she saw him in bed – WITH Yolanda. Macario has the audacity to say she saw wrong. His “friend” Yola was only giving him a massage. Standing chest to chest, Amparo warns him to take great care with her children! He sticks out his pathetic chest as she pushes him aside and leaves.

As Ursula tells Memo about the meeting with Dani, he looks concerned and serious as he processes what he is being told. Ursula explains she knows Daniela is the mother of your daughter and I am your wife and mother of your child and wanted the opportunity to get to know each other better. She wants Memo to be proud of her which is why she has sought therapy to control her jealousy. Muy bien he says but his expression doesn’t match his words. He puts his hand on her neck and sweetly caresses her face. She grabs his hand and smiles.

Gaby grabs JuanPa’s hands, crying that her mother was so disappointed in her that she didn’t even punish her. Even worse, she told Gaby she has given up on her! JP tells her to give her time. Gaby vows to work hard at the restaurant to show her mother that she does want to do something. That said, she is still confused and doesn’t know what she wants to be. Lupita enters and tells JP that his friend is a cad and a liar…and she is an idiot for believing him! JP stands up alarmed as Grace watches, lapping up every tear.

Ursula and Memo’s conversation ends on a high note. Ursula (falsely) explains why she hadn’t told him about going to therapy. Memo is happy she has sought help. Ursula is doing it so Memo will be proud of her when she conquers her jealousy (which ain’t ever gonna happen the patio asserts) Memo tells her she should do it for herself, so there can be peace for Martin. Memo ends up putting his hand happily on her stomach. They kiss and to be honest, Memo’s kisses do seem hopeful and sincere. Ursula tells him that all she needs is his love.

Camino #64 Part 4

Sebastian comes home bellowing for Este. He is furious, asking Este what she told Lupita. Este, wearing bright red lipstick that makes her appear clownish, asserts she only told Lupita the truth – that she spent the night there. He tries to throw her out but she pleads she has nowhere to go. She denies doing anything deliberately to hurt Lupita. She states Sebastian knows her and what her intention was. The problem is he DOES know her and despite her continuing full frontal assault, he tells her to leave and when he gets back, he does not want her there!

Lupita cries to Gaby that Este was wearing Sebastian’s shirt and it was obvious that he slept with her.

JP tells Grace why Lupita is upset…he knew this would bring problems.

What’s wrong with Lupita conniving Grace asks Gaby. Gaby spews Este spent the night at Sebastian’s. Grace is shocked that Gaby’s novio did nothing about it…she is sure JP will wash his hands of this! I’m yelling at Gaby (well at least in my mind) why she hasn’t wondered who ratted her out to Amparo? I mean how many people did she tell?? Think girl, think!

Leo FINALLY shows up at Chuchita’s. She is glowing upon seeing him, until he speaks. He tells her sadly that things aren’t going as he had hoped. Monica threw herself at him but he stopped her telling her he has a novia. Then, Monica spouted lies about him.

Dani told Karen about how Isa found out that Memo is her father. Now Memo and she are good friends…she is turning the page… to the point she and Fausto are sleeping together against. She wants to try to fall in love and be the family that her daughter needs.

Leo tells Chuchita that he wants to go talk to Monica…to reproach her for what she did. Chuchita advises him to let things go…he should work hard and prove how good he is. She smiles at him lovingly telling him how talented he is. He smiles appreciatively and they exchange loving kisses.

Gaby berates JuanPa for knowing that Este stayed at Sebas’s and not doing anything about it. After arguing back and forth, Gaby tells JP to leave; she will not forgive him for this! Grace chortles in the background.

Camino #64 Part 5

Dani tells an even paler Karen why she’s giving her marriage another try. Surely suffering the aftereffects of a lobotomy viewerville was not privy to, Dani states she never considered the pain that Fausto must have gone through…he has been patient…she failed him and he has forgiven her for everything. She knows Fausto isn’t perfect but he is not a bad man. Karen says Fausto is a cynic…how can he accuse her of having a lover?! Karen can’t keep quiet anymore…Fausto has had a lover for YEARS!

Fausto tells Aaron he is sure that Karen is up to something and he needs to find out what she is planning. She threatened to take revenge before she left. Aaron would like to help but needs Fausto to help him get Karen back (is he out of his mind??. Fausto will help but makes it clear that Karen will always be his! This stomach-churning exchange leaves viewerville incredulous and yet curious as to how this toxic love triangle will be resolved.

Karen tells Dani that she overheard Fausto and Aaron talking. Aaron has been covering for Fausto…and that is why Karen left. Dani asks if she has proof…does Karen know who it is? Karen denies knowing but will help Dani find out. Dani reproaches Karen for leaving, knowing all this and not telling her. Forgive me Karen spews as Daniela’s eyes widen. Karen explains that everything piled upon her… she wasn’t sure of anything…and Dani had already told Fausto to leave the house. Karen can’t allow Fausto to keep making a fool of Dani!

Oh no, Memo has brought Ursula soup and is spoon feeding her! Baby talk ensues as they play airplane. Ursula tells Memo how much she loves him and asks how much he loves her. He loves her more than the longest road. Now I understand where the phrase “gag me with a spoon” originated. Ack.

Gaby slaps downs some orders as Sebastian rushes into the restaurant. Gaby starts telling him off so first he asks to see Lupita and when that gets him nowhere, insists he will not leave until he does.

Camino #64 Part 6

JuanPa is at Grace’s. If anyone can tell me why, please do enlighten me. Grace badmouths Gaby for being so unfair with JuanPa. She is never understanding with him. It’s a shame Gaby never shows that she trusts him. Gollum, err, Grace spews where there is no trust there is no love. Nothing good can be expected from someone who lies to her mother and her family!

Chema now has his hands taped as Macario coaches him to be nasty and protect his mother. Mac tells Chema not to tell his mother anything or she won’t let him spend time with him.

Eugenio arrives suave as ever sporting a red pocket square to match his tie. He wants to tell Amparo about his trip and he wants to know everything that has gone on with her. He is extending an invitation to a cabin where they can talk. Amparo sadly says that now is not a good time because of Chema. Eugenio doesn’t want to cause problems between Amparo and her kids so he won’t insist. He kisses her hand like the gentleman he is.

“Papito” Isa effuses, telling Fausto Karen was there and brought her presents. When Dani turns her flinty eyes on him, Fausto comments that it’s obvious Karen talked badly about him. Dani tells him that their conversation doesn’t always center around him. At that, Memo arrives!

Gaby goes to Lupita’s doorway asking her to wipe her tears. She steps aside as Sebas enters.

Isa shows her drawing of her with Dani and her two fathers. She asks big Memo to stay and play with her…will Fausto play too? Memo smiles but Fausto does not, looking like he wants to kill Memo.

Gabi asks Lupita to give Sebastian a chance but on her way out threatens Sebastian that if she hears crying or shouting she will not be responsible for her actions! Lupita doesn’t want him to stay and calls out for her sister. She wants him to leave as she puts her hands up and backs up.

Camino #64 Part 7 (Last)

Sebas pleads that Lupita not run him out. He wants a chance to explain and swears that nothing happened between him and Este. Lupita only wants to know if Sebas still has feelings for Este.

Arriving home, Karen is greeted by Este who explains she arrived a few days ago. They kiss each other - OMG. Este relates she got into it with her mother who ended up kicking her out. Sebas let her stay there because he still loves her (huh?) but his novia got jealous and Sebas told her to leave. Putting her hand on Este’s cheek, Karen tells her she can stay as her guest…and she shouldn’t worry about that commoner. Karen much prefers Este as a sister-in-law. Viewerville gapes and gasps. Now that Karen has said how she really feels, any indication she gave Eugenio that she likes Amparo is likely a(nother) in the very long list of fabricated truths.

Sebas denies having feelings for Este and promises she is in the past. He asserts Este is toxic (true enough) and that not even her mother can tolerate her. Sebas is a gentleman and couldn’t turn her away. Lupita tells him that Este is manipulating her and he is allowing it. Sebas points out that Este wants to see them fighting and Lupita shouldn’t give her that pleasure. Lupita tells him he should have thought of that before…and tells him to leave! As he does so, Gaby arrives and hugs her sister protectively.

Fun and game time! Isa’s (My) two dads engage in a variation of Jenga. Fausto of course simply cannot help himself and kicks the table as Memo is pulling out one of the pieces and the tower collapses!

The last scene was unexpected and delightful, perhaps unintentionally so. The two men and Isa have all joined hands doing ring around the Rosie, Memo and Isa smiling and happy. Then, inexplicably Fausto breaks into the twist and it seems for a moment character is broken as Fausto actually smiles, whether in character or not, I ‘ve no idea!

Kudos to our marvelous Rgv Chick who masterfully conquered tonight's torrent of words and actions making sense of it all with her fine and fabulous flair!

I was struggling, clearly underwater as our characters seemed to speak faster and faster cramming as many words as possible into each and every scene! Thank you Rgv Chick for your exceptional translations.

I can't wait to see what Fausto's master plan is as well as what Aaron might have up his sleeve.

I'm sorry Amparo's and Eugenio's romance has been docked before the boat even left the shore.

Thank you Diana for another fantastic and funny recap! 'Now I understand where the phrase “gag me with a spoon” originated. Ack.' had me chuckling away this morning! I think the writers are going a bit too far in showing us that Memo and Ursa have managed to domestically bond.

While I agree Chema is a child he should not be allowed to yell at his mom like that. He's old enough to learn better. Of course the waters are muddied by Mac teaching him to not behave better so it's a mess....Still Amparo and her relationship with Eugenio should not be held hostage to Chema!

More of Lupita laying down all the accusations and skipping the conversation with Sebas. Grace (accidentally) had a point about never being understanding- she was talking about Gaby and she was being manipulative - but the principle is true of throughout the Santos clan, they could all use some conflict management skills and some how to communicate classes!! I can't imagine maintaining a relationship by yelling and accusing first every time you suspect something is wrong and then learning what really happened later! I get it that Lupita is inexperienced, but some of this just comes from how she's learned to deal with conflict. We see the evidence of that in how Amparo never talked to Gaby about her leaving school.

If it was specified why JP was at Grace's I missed it, I'm assuming he just gave her a ride home from work.

Falso actually laughing and dancing was uncharacteristic and funny! I'm betting the actor actually broke character and they kept it because it was charming!

What you said about so many words last night made me think of a character on Corazon Guerrero who uses 437 words to say everything! I've given up on recapping him, he just goes on and on and on - it's amusing actually and I've started to notice his screen partners fighting to keep a straight face when they are listening to his monologues.

So what exactly is Misael's issue according to Braulio? And why the hell did Braulio suggest he shouldtake his son and this way make Julia pay? Is this out of spite? Braulio and Julia don't interact that much so I'm confused. Misael's plan is weird to me. Julia 'will understand howbadly she behaved'..More like Julia is going to call all the lawyers in Mexico and acuse you of kidnapping her son because sh's got the custody. And how exactly does Ana S plan to stop Angel from comforting Julia? It was all so weird here.
Does Braulio love Celeste or does he just like having someone he can manipulate? The one point in his favour is that he most probably wasn't lying when he said he'd support her when they learnt she was ill.
So did Gero convince Max to file for custody? And why is Laura not interested inhelping her sister anymore? She knows the truth.Ester has to be the first female character who is supposedly'on the good side' but whom I cannot stand. Now I think about it, it was a bit amusing that Celeste was just as stubborn in this episode as Ester. It's nice to see Ester arguing with someone who doesn't give in.

Lupita is just...What's the point of agreeing to listen to someone if all you do is shout at them and acuse them of everything. Grace is not wrong about Gabi, but it applies to Lupita too. The one thing I'd worry about is Sebas still fancyingStefi. He lied to Lupita when he said he didn't so I imagine it's hard to trust someone when you cna suspect they still like their x.
Gabi throwing JP out was silly.Why would she think it's a good idea to break up with him because of what she thinks he should have done to intervene to save Seb from his own stupidity? It feels very weird and unrealistic.

Waterlily, I enjoyed your questions and comments. I think that these characters are as illogical, imperfect and complicated as people are in real life. I think Braulio suggested to Misael that he just take his son was because he just likes to push Misael’s buttons. He has no respect for him. I do think that Braulio truly loves his wife . . . in his own way. Celeste seems to have been reasonably happy with his adoration and tolerated his controlling ways until now. I have seen marriages just like that in real life. As for Ester, I cannot stand her either. I was hoping somebody could have just shut her up last night. It looks like we will be “treated” to a continuation of her latest harangue tonight.

I appreciate that you can relate how utterly difficult it is to capture everything. I counted and I had furiously typed 18 (sentences/paragraphs) before the first commercial break! Many were just a few words because I didn't understnd (which thankfully Rgv Chick did), but even the few I could interpret and wanted to expand on, couldn't as there just wasnt' time! Ack.

Mark Tacher rose a few notches in my estimation last night. He and Gabe Soto clearly seemed to be enjoying themselves in the last we saw and I agree Mark improvised that scene. I think it's the first time I actually smiled at the end...

I’m trying to figure out why Celeste is going to help Braulio, including getting rid of anything incriminating. I wonder if it’s because of the MS and her pregnancy. Is she afraid to be alone? She doesn’t want to help him and be charged with everything he’ll be charged with. She must realize he embezzled from the company. At this point I’m fine with her going to jail. And I can’t wait to see her face when she learns of everything her husband did. She knows money was stolen when he was driving the food truck.

Ester is like a dog with a bone. Or that Timex commercial. She keeps going and going.

I know Angel will survive but I hope he isn’t hit. And wouldn’t it be great if AnaSofia gets in trouble along with Misael. She’s talked about Angel enough on her influencer site!

When Karen invited the ex to stay and put down Lupita I never carried it to the next step. So Karen is not happy that her father likes Amparo. I wonder if it’s her or any woman that her father would like.

We saw Memo taking a test or at a desk a couple of times but never learned what he was studying. I thought his GED, but then thought that was not too nice of me. Maybe he’s learning horticulture!

Grace talking about trust and love was a bit of a stretch! She is just like her dad! And I’m glad his plan to get Chemo kicked out of school didn’t work. Hope it doesn’t!

Eugenio is the perfect gentleman. No comparison between him and Mac.

Ursula is so, can’t even think of a word to describe her. Phony, maybe. Flaunting Memo’s baby and knowing Dani would never take Memo from his child. The whole friends thing was sickening. And saying she’s going for therapy!

Fausto was not a good sport in the Jenna game. But then what a surprise to see him flash a sincere smile as he dances! I like Darcy’s theory that he broke away from the scrip and it was left in.

Your “…we are taxiing down the runway and taking off for what I am expecting to be a turbulent flight …” was the perfect descriptive.

“Braulio has on purple suit jacket and Misael a purple snake print shirt” was a delicious detail I hadn’t noticed. Thank you!

It was such a contrast between Ester’s rabid accusations about Braulio versus Celeste’s fairy tale assertions.

I was shocked that Misael gave the money to Braulio. He IS as stupid as he looks.

People don’t change overnight but Mirna’s miraculous transformation is fine with me! I’m delighted Rayo now has a caring sister and it appears Mirna might take over the business leaving Angel to do what his heart desires.

“Max is filing. She also tells them that Cinthia's family has no interest in Denis' custody”. Of course Ester’s planting the evidence was horrible but if they really wanted Denis would they have let that deter them? It certainly wasn’t his fault. Wouldn’t that motivate them to want him more?

Angel finally contacted a lawyer; about time!

Ester shrouded in all her righteous indignation is so right in everything she says and yet I recoil…

Your question on whether Karen would accept any woman Eugenio was interested in was a good one for which I have no answer. I will say that the tiny ray of hope I had for Karen evaporated when she revealed her true feelings about Amparo and her famiy. I'm envisioning (and hoping) he and Amparo do end up together because when Karen's misdeeds are revealed, he will desperately need Sebastian and his extended family to comfort him.

Evil has many layers and I sadly think Ursula has entered that realm.

I was also happy Macario's plan to get Chema expelled hasn't worked. Yet. He needs his friends Isa and Sofia.

I remember Memo studying previously too but have no idea what he is studying. Though he should be studying how not to be so oblivious to Ursula's manipulation and conniving schemes.

Jarifa, wow. Thank you for capturing every detail as the anvils manuver into place over the heads of the evil. How will this whole murky mess get tidied up by the finale ? Perhaps Flavia's anvil could be bell shaped . Maybe she's walking past a church , and the enormous bell in the steeple falls on her .

The writers had Mirna turn a very sudden corner into kindness and ambition and family loyalty.

Ester is heating up in her hatred and suspicion of Brazen Braulio , who thinks he is the smartest guy in the room . This guy is fired but just keeps on coming to work.

Miserable needs a really, really huge , heavy anvil appropriate for a macho , macho man. (Shout out to The Village People.)

Dear Diana and Chickie, thank you both for providing an excellent retelling of all the lying and crying .

I have a thought bouncing in my head that Memo was studying engineering....but I might have dreamt that .

I saw some photos, and Este does look like a clown . She and Grace are both pushing the style envelope. Hair, make up , and wardrobe departments are surely having fun with these looks .

I am going to search for a photo of the new , remodeled Karen. I also would love to see Fausto doing the twist .

Regarding Karen's look, she seems to be wearing the same shade of bright red lipstick that Este wears. Yikes . That stuff is going to smear.However, Karen has long coal black locks, wheras Este is half blonde party in the front and half brunette monkey business in the back.

Very interesting that Braulio is texting Celeste, instead of calling her as normal. " Braulio sends Ester a text … She also will help him get rid of anything that might incriminate him..."

Braulio hit another low, involving his otherwise virtuous wife in covering up for him. I think Celeste could be charged with accessory after the fact and obstructing an investigation, or something like that.

Ester is not the kindest most thoughtful person in the world (I guess that what she's got Jero for), so I was surprised after her first bout with Celeste that she wondered about the stress of it all harming Celeste's pregnancy. Right now, I'm more with Este than Celeste. Celeste sounded utterly stupid when she countered that Braulio has been a good husband and good to her, unlike Julia's and Ester's husbands. Yes, Celeste, everybody knows he's good to you, but what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Hitler was probably good to Eva Braun.

Braulio is slick. He wants Misael to act the fool stealing his kid and taking him overseas so he'll be rid of him and Misael won't be around to testify against him when it hits the fan.

Gracias, Diana. Super recap and I loved all the snark, especially directed at Macario, like "When he [Macario] claims he has done nothing wrong, she [Amparo] pulls an ace out of her sleeve (which Macario has NEVER done) ...

I hate that Karen is siding with Estephania, but thank goodness she told Dani that Fausto has been cheating for years. Otherwise, Dani might've acceded to sleeping with him. Shudder!

"He [Eugenio] is extending an invitation to a cabin where they can talk." Ahem, so the "just friends" need a cabin to "talk"? So that's what they're calling it now. ;>

I too don't know how JP wound up at Grace's, but we can bet she lied to make it happen. Wah, I have no money to get home! Wah, my neck hurts again! It's wild that folks are heeding her advice when she's said a zillion times that she has no friends (and therefore no relationship skills).

I felt the same way upon hearing Eugenio wanting to go to a cabin to "talk". Hmmm, I thought a relaxing dinner at a secluded table in a quiet restaurant would be the venue for that. Times have changed. You nailed it with "So that's what they are calling it now!"

"Wah, I have no money to get home! Wah, my neck hurts again" made me laugh. JP is doing what Grace wants out of guilt for the "accident". I'm sure Grace will set up a seemingly compromising but actually innocent setting for Gaby to "catch" them together. Sigh.

I’m delighted Rayo now has a caring sister and it appears Mirna might take over the business leaving Angel to do what his heart desires." I was happy for the quick change in Mirna. I do admit that it was getting hard to put up with so many nasty characters. I liked that Mirna also saw the light that maybe she could be successful without a man.

Susanlynn, You had me laughing at "Perhaps Flavia's anvil could be bell shaped . Maybe she's walking past a church , and the enormous bell in the steeple falls on her." that would be oh so good." Somehow I thought we would have seen her with the gorilla glue out trying to glue her precious collection back together.
