I heard from Adriana this morning and real life got in the way of her doing her recap for yesterday. I confess I mostly paid half-hearted attention to the episode yesterday because I ‘knew’ Adriana would tell me what I missed! Lol

All I really remember is the hilarity of the girlfriend mix up as Valero accidentally sent Selena to Damian and Domi to Sam!!! It was giggle inducing! 😀

Please everyone add any details you can! I have a meeting after work today so it will be later in the evening but I will watch tonight and pay enough attention to put up at least a more detailed mini-cap/notes for today.

Guerrero. I didn't think yesterday's episode added that much to the plot. Jesus had to get out of Augi's house without getting seen (in this case to find the old picture of Augi and Alisa together), but similar things have happened before. Adrian did manage to bring his mother's letters home, though when he dropped them on the floor to go spend time with Emma, I was afraid they would get lost. Fortunately, they didn't. But now it seems likely that Fede is Adrian's father. Ugh! I thought Damian was a jerk for not believing that Domi didn't know that it was Samuel in the bed and not he. Oh? Selena can make a mistake about who was in the shower, but Domi couldn't about who was in the bed? All she had to say was that Sam's head was completely covered by the bedspread. But of course she didn't.
 

Guerrero. At least Lupe rejected Villalba amicably so she was still able to eat. :)

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 54 – Part 1 of 2

MD first drags Augi from Lupe and then returns and tells Lupe she’ll never take Augi from her. Lupe says once again she doesn’t want Augi but MD makes it clear she doesn’t believe Lupe and she makes Lupe cry by telling her she’ll never be more than the help and she was born to clean up after people like Vicky! Lupe returns to the cottage and tells Mari and Conchita she wants to leave right now! She’s not spending another night in that house! The ladies return home but there’s no furniture in their home, they sleep on the floor with blankets.

Mari agreed to working for Augi but is worried about what Lupe will say.

The guys are mad at/teasing Valero over his mix up the night before.

Adrian is anxious about getting his test results but when he does, he finds out he passed! Adrian also meets Laura who may be bad news for Em. Em later meets Laura and puts on the total possessive girlfriend act with her. Adrian acts like she’s just a new school friend, no big deal but Emma is not happy. After Laura leaves, she’s already blowing up Adrian’s phone and Emma is again not happy but she doesn’t realize that some of the alerts are Valero playing with the door cam! Adrian assures her that he loves her completely.

Domi gets a call from Briana, her best friend, Augi doesn’t look thrilled. She’s back in town and coming over to the house. Damian sneaks into the Domi’s room to make up. Briana turns out to be one of Augi’s lovers. He greets her as she walks in and says welcome to Mexico. She says ‘if the mountain won’t come to Mohamet.

Vicky is bribing Augi’s secretary for some sort of info.

d.Abel saves the day for the Polerzia and he and Conchita flirt as usual. It’s cute! They each want the other to sit first. They discuss dancing and then they start dancing. D. Abel loves dancing since his mom was a dance instructor. Later they make a date for the next afternoon but I don’t remember where they were going.

Carloca and Jesus talk and she’s relieved that he believes she didn’t set the fire at Mariluz’s. She goes on and on about how much she loves him and needs to see him and Jesus just says to stay calm. They’ll see each other when she gets home. Carloca agrees and says she has something very important to tell him as she rubs her belly. Jesus says okay and rushes off the phone so he can go sneak up on his other lady – the one he actually loves. He tells Mari he’s glad she isn’t staying at the Montalvo’s anymore. Mari says it's obvious he has a problem with Augi and she wants to know what it is but Jesus distracts her with kisses.

Vicky falls all over Briana and insults Emma. Augi leaves the table and then calls Briana asking what she’s doing tonight. She makes a plan with him without anyone knowing who she’s talking to and all the ladies gush over Briana’s dinner date not knowing it’s Augi. Vicky encourages Domi to find a dinner date – not Damian someone on her level and suggests maybe Domi would like to meet Briana’s new guy, Briana says she doubts it!

Lupe catches Mari and Jesus making out and tells Jesus off. They say they are back together but Lupe says not until you resolve everything with Carloca!! Jesus agrees but Mari isn’t thrilled. Later Mari and Lupe have fight # 9012 about to trust Jesus or not trust Jesus and Conchita is thrilled to know the lovebirds have reunited.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 54 – Part 2 of 2

Elisa is back on Augi’s street scouting out the area. Sam and Valero are talking about his opportunity to be a wrestler! I vote no!!! Sam wants to get a serious job so Domi will feel proud of him! Jeez. Valero says make decisions for yourself, not Domi; she’s your brother’s girlfriend!! Sam knows and at that moment Elisa enters the shop!!! She says good day to Valero and Sam!! Sam drops the wrench he was holding.

Sam and Elisa look deeply into each other’s eyes with that same recognition without knowing what they are recognizing response Elisa had with Damian. Elisa says she’s looking for a job as a secretary or receptionist or something, and Valero goes on and on about how those duties are part of his job and they don’t have any openings. Elisa listens to Valero but continues to look at Sam who is staring at her still. Sam finally finds his voice and asks if Elisa wants something to drink and she says no, you’re very kind. Valero mentioned he works for Jesus Guerrero and Elisa recognized the name and asked if he’s the partner of Augi. It’s notable that Elisa is grabbing her arm in the same spot Sam also grabs his when he’s nervous. Valero wonders if she knows Augi and she says no, but she’s heard of him and she learned a little about him so she could maybe ask him for a job but he doesn’t need anyone so she came here instead to see if they needed anyone. Sam perks up and says if she wants, she can wait for Jesus. Valero says it’s a bad idea because Jesus may be gone all day but Sam is excited and rushes over to get Elisa a bench so she’ll have a place to sit as she waits! (AW!) Elisa is still looking at Sam and says his face looks so familiar, have they met before? Sam just shrugs looking confused and a little shell shocked. Valero goes on and on about how she probably saw them on TV when they won the car race but Elisa and Sam can’t look away from each other. Valero tries to give Elisa the bum rush out of there but she still hasn’t turned his direction. Both Sam and Elisa look like they might cry but Elisa finally acknowledges Valero and agrees to leave touching Sam on the arm before she does, Sam touches his arm where she touched him and almost follows her out of the shop.

Valero is sure that woman just came to trick them into giving her information and that she’s probably an accomplice of Augusto! Sam says no, she has the face of a good person! Valero says Sam thinks everyone is good and warns him he shouldn’t tell his brothers about this. For Elisa’s part she tells Santiago they need to back off a little since the owner of the shop is Augi’s partner. Augi probably has eyes and ears everywhere! Santiago has an idea for how to get closer to Augi without putting them in more risk. They can put a tracker on his car!!! Elisa thinks this is a great plan and Santiago is a genius!

Carloca approved so much in therapy after hearing from Jesus that she can go home tomorrow! The doctor makes sure to let Augi know that hearing from Jesus made all the difference, he’s very good for Carloca!

Domi and Mari talk about her moving back home and also her new job with Augi which Mari shushes Domi on because she hasn’t told Lupe yet. Domi understands because her mom has been so unkind to them but she swears her dad is different and Mari knows. Next they talk about Domi’s project she’s working on and she says she needs to find someone good with plants ASAP! An ever-attentive Sam jumps right in to volunteer! He took care of the plants at the ranch, he can do it!! Domi is a little surprised but shrugs and gives a ‘problem solved’ look to Mari.

Hey, Patio! Thanks, Darcy. I hope life gets back to normal soon (for all) and everyone has a great, long weekend!

I really enjoyed your recap and the details you provided. If it pleases the patio, I’m going to post my recap as well for practice and for bonus reading materials. I hope that’s not against any patio rules.

It’s funny how sometimes the recaps align almost verbatim and in other places different details grabbed our attention. I really appreciated your telling of the Sam and Elisa scene. You mined much deeper symbolism (the touching) and call of the sangre with great flair. That really was a sweet and powerful scene.

I’ve always enjoyed Steve Boudreaux’s body counts. If our show keeps it up, we may need an Augi Amante count!
 

Guerrero - Capítulo 54 - Villalba (wordy) Recap - Part 1 of 3.

Mommy Dearest interrupts the Caress Fest between Augi & Lupe by asking if she’s interrupting anything. Augi snaps back in line and bids Lupe (& Conchita) a good night . MD shoots This is My Man looks at Lupe and waves goodbye - blowing fake kisses. Lupe yanks Villalba’s ring off. Back home MD wants assurance that everything is fine. Augi retires to his office so MD returns to the bungalow to confront Lupe. She will not allow Lupe to get away with whatever she has planned (with Augi). It’s the same old back and forth until MD calls her a sad, vile roach(!) born to serve the likes of MD. Lupe, a damn whore, should never forget her place in life. MD walks off. Ok. PAUSE! Not an advocate of violence, but there’s no way this monologue would not have led to some slapping and hair-pulling. Pacifist of the Year Lupe just stands there and cries.

Mari is going on about working for Augi. Conchita warms her that Lupe will not react well to this news. The aforementioned llorona storms in and announces they are leaving the bungalow NOW! Lupe cannot take another minute of these false accusations. She’s a good woman and hard worker. She’s not a roach! So she’s leaving. Now! Blink and Las García are already home sweet home rejoicing. García Power blah blah blah.

Adrián is cooking and Valero is mediating the two non-speaking brothers and Jesús. Chucho blames Valero for sending the wrong girl to the wrong brother. Valero says if the pretty one (Domís) wanted to get into bed with this one (Sam) and Selena wanted to get in the shower with that one (Damián), it’s because they WANTED TO! This breaks the ice. All brothers start talking at the same time. Valero congratulations himself on this victory. Damián threatens payback by inviting Mica over when Valero is showering. Sam joins the plan - wanting to add Saúl (the security guard) in on the fun. Damián then calls Mica and leaves the table. Adrián is nervous; he’s getting his test results today.

Doménica is home working on her project. MD cannot understand why she’d ever lift a finger for the orphans. MD blithely states they will always be orphans. Domís gets a call from Briana who is now in Mexico and super close. She invites her to come over. MD is thrilled. Augi is intrigued. Briana is her BFF. Mica advises that Las García have left the bungalow. Augi wants to know why and MD dismissively says The Help will always act like The Help.

Don Abel advises Lupe and Conchita that the Pozolería can now function without problems. There’s discussion of classic Mexican cinema. Conchita imitates María Felix and Don Abel agrees to stay for coffee.

Uh oh. Adrián is checking his score and meets a pretty colleague Laura who has also been accepted.

Doménica finds a rose on her bed and a Damián in her room. He asks her not be upset.

MD cozies up to Olivia (Augi’s assistant). She gives her a (seemingly big) check and offers her another one if she’ll help her find some (inheritance) papers. Olivia does not turn her down.
 

Guerrero - Capítulo 54 - Villalba (wordy) Recap - Part 2 of 3.

Briana is wandering aimlessly around the Ruíz-Montalvo manse. Augi greets her. My jaw and the remote hit the floor when they start KISSING!!! This week we’ve learned Augi has been a super busy loverboy!!! Did not see this coming. She wants to know if he has plans for the night. He doesn’t answer-just looks at her coyly.

Doménica is no longer mad at Damián (in his cool red James Dean jacket). Damian tells her he has unleashed his own fury on Valero, and Val will never mix them up again. She wants to know if he liked Selena (Really?). He laughs. Doménica is the only he likes. She calls him a beast…a thoughtful beast and thanks him for the rose. He asks her to wait just a little bit longer. She asks him not to take too long. He wants to go out as friends. She has other friends, in fact one is waiting for her, and they’ll probably have dinner. Tomorrow would be better. He leaves.

Uh oh. Carloca calls Jesús and asks for forgiveness for not answering him the night before. He confirms he was helping out with Project Posolería. She seethes and swears swears swears she had nothing to do with the bombing. He believes her and doesn’t think she’s capable of such a thing (Olympic Patio Eye Roll). She’s moved by his support and needs to see him right away. He (with the Patio) begs her to stay calm. They will talk upon her return. She says she has something really important to tell him. He says “OK; see ya soon.”

He sees Mariluz sooner by sneaking up behind her as she takes a drink of some delicious looking beverage (Black Cherry Kool-Aid®️?!!). He’s happy and relieved she’s back at home. She wants to know what he has against Augi. He sidesteps - sipping her Kool-Aid®️ and asks her to forget Augi and everyone for a moment. They smooch.

D. Abel and Conchita learn they also share a love for dance and do some impromptu steps. They are cute.

Emma live chats her family breakfast with Augi, MD, Domís, and Briana. Augi excuses himself to go work. Briana calls him handsome (Ahem!). MD gushes over Briana calling her spectacular, thin, beautiful, stylish - basically everything that Emma is not (OUCH). Could Bri maybe help her out with some tips? I’d LOL if it weren’t so cruel. Bri & D defend Emma. Bri gets a call (from Augi) and flirts and makes plans to see him later (while never leaving the breakfast table!!!). Everyone wants to know who this new lover is. MD wants to make sure he’s from high society (LOL). Bri calls him a REAL man, unlike Patricio, her ex. This new lover (Augi) steals her breath with his kisses. MD says “just like Augi.” I can’t—neither can Emma with this parental TMI. MD says it’s all fine and good, but time and kids will suck all the passion away. She better enjoy it while she can. Domi had planned to dine with Bri but will take a back seat to her new lover. Gag. Bri doesn’t think Domi would like her new lover. Double gag.

Valero is watching Emma’s live/social media. He shows Damián the family brunch and asks what’s his & Domi’s status. Are they or aren’t they (together)? Friends with benefits (LOL)? Then he quotes an old adage, “Why wear underwear if it has low elastic?” He goes back to admiring Bri via social media.

Mari asks Jesùs what he and Guadaloopy have against Augi. Jesùs says he’s not the man she thinks he is. She talks about how good Augi has been to Las García. She wishes her Dad would have been a tad more like Augi. Ahem. She asks about his dad. We see flashbacks of Octavio with the boys. He asks her to be careful. Blah blah. Smooch. Smooch. Lupe breaks up the lip lock and asks about Carloca. He assures her that it’s over. She doesn’t want to see him until everything is finalized with Carloca. He understands and vows to do right by her.

Elisa and Santiago show up at the Ruíz Montalvo fortress.
 

Guerrero - Capítulo 54 - Villalba (wordy) Recap - Part 3 of 3.

Sam tells Valero about his offer to fight/box/wrestle. Sam wants to find a job that will make Doménica proud. Valero says he needs to find a job that makes HIM happy and stop worrying about his brother’s girlfriend. Just then Elisa walks in and asks for help. Sam drops his wrench and they stare at each other intensely.

Elisa is looking for work. Maybe she could work at the garage. Valero is extra Valero and tries to shoo her away. She and Sam though are very drawn to each other. After she leaves, Valero tells Sam she’s probably Augi’s spy in whom they should not confide. He also tells Sam to zip his lip to the brothers about this encounter.

Elisa tells Santiago they need to step back. The garage belongs to the boyfriend of Augi’s daughter, and Augi must have eyes everywhere. Santiago suggests they put a tracker on Augi’s car. Elisa is down with this plan.

D. Abel & Conchita are still visiting. They make a dancing date for the next afternoon.

Emma congratulates Adrián on his academic success and quickly marks her territory with Laura. Come to find out, they are in the same school and practically neighbors. It’s amazing how quickly they’ve bonded after getting their test results.

Mari defends her position with Jesùs to Lupe, and we all know where this is going: that “very important talk“ on the horizon.

Ugh. Emma (who’s supposed to be grounded, at home, and getting makeover from Briana) has snuck out of the house, burst onto Adrian’s campus, brought a gift to his shack, and thrown a hissy fit about Laura’s texts. Worst.Parental.Control.Ever

Mari and Domïs are bonding with more red, delicious Kool-Aid®️. Sam is in the background lugging fuel tanks. Mari still hasn’t told Las García about working for Augi. Doménica needs someone who knows something about plants for her project. Guess what! Sam knows all about plants. He offers to help.

O.S. thank you for sharing your recap! I wish I had known you planned to do it, but I am glad you shared! My notes were just quick notes I took while watching not really a recap - though I tried to write out the scene with Sam and Elisa a little more since it was so impactful! Both actors did a great job in that scene, you could feel the emotion!!

I love reading your recaps and I don't think you should compare yourself to Villabla, I've written many a recap more wordy than that! You did a great job. Fun, snappy, interesting; not at all just rambling incoherently like Villabla does! I'm going to say it again, feel free to claim a recap day! Please!! :) That way we know to expect your recap and we can look forward to it. Wednesday and Friday are up for grabs! Especially this week as I will not be home on Friday to even watch let alone take notes, I'll have to catch up later in the weekend!

I hadn't noticed that Kool-Aid but reading your recap made me wish I had some!

I don't like the idea of Sam as a box/wrestle/fighter but as I was thinking NO, I did remember how natural he looked and felt at the punching bag that first time Valero put it up; it was the most relaxed and comfortable Sam as looked with anything (and maybe Christian de la Campa is a trained boxer?) so maybe it would be a good fit?? Then again, maybe he's a natural gardener too! LOL It makes me sad that he still wants to impress Domi...

Thanks, Darcy. TBH, I hadn’t planned to do a recap. I watched late and then fought/boxed/wrestled with the idea of making a full recap. After it was complete, I went to post it and saw yours. You’ve always encouraged me and pushed for various viewpoints so I really appreciate your feedback. I will claim Friday as long as it’s ok to post late as I’m way out west. The patio may be mimis before I get to
post. Is that ok? They should definitely be up before everyone wakes up Saturday (and live chats their familial breakfasts. Thanks, Emma).

So who knew Augi was such a Casanova? I know the antagonists usually weave a tangled web, but this must be some kind of record! As it stands, Mica and Conchita are the only ones he hasn’t conquered (Ew!), but we still have time for more revelations.

I want to know what that red beverage really is! I’m familiar with agua fresca, but I’ve never seen one with such a bright red hue.

As much as I like to translate Valero’s ramblings, I have no idea what the old adage about underwear and elastic means. I’m losing something in translation. Further proof that I’m not Valero and need to work on my adages. LOL. I like his nicknames for the brothers. Last night when he was trying to get Elisa to scram, he talked about “Yisus,” but let her know he wasn’t really named “Yisus” because that would be odd. Love Valero (and Sam)!!

I’m intrigued by the clues we were given this week regarding Adrián’s ties to Fede. Would Novelaland really go there (Adrián & Emma are distant cousins)? It’s also looking like Sam will eventually fight/box/wrestle Selena away from Fede. Either way, I can’t wait to see what he dons to work in the garden!
 

O.S. Friday is all yours! :) and it’s not a problem if it’s later. Mostly the patio comments on the recap the next day anyway so recap with breakfast is perfect! :)

I am not really sure what the underwear with low elastic comment means the only thing I can think is that when elastic wears out on underwear it doesn’t stay up right so it’s time to get new underwear??? Lol I just chalk Valero up to being Valero. I like the character though and I bet it’s fun for the actor to play!
 

Guerrero. Wow! 2 excellent recaps, a succinct one and a detailed one! Thanks, Darcy and O.C. Vicki just keeps doing more and more (like snobbishly insulting Guadalupe) to make us wish something terrible happens to her. Oh dear! Laura is a complication we don't need. And oh my. Just as I suspected--yet another encounter between a Guerrero and Elisa, without her realizing he is one of her sons. Did Sam not see her picture?
