"SENOR 8" EPISODE #1222:

Howdy from the Alamo City folks. Here's my recap of tonight's episode, only caught half of it so here it goes:
*Felina meets with some mysterious female in the middle of the street. That young lady looks suspicious.

*DEA Mexico Headquarters: Crazy Tracy & DEA Lackey plotting & scheming AGAIN LOL.

*Castillo still triggered over Crazy Tracy & DEA Lackey. He meets with Dahlila in the locker-room: wonder what the endgame is there 🤔

*Karla hugs Aurelio in Mexicali; she meets with Roberta & Mecha at Mecha's restaurant.

*Only a matter of time before Karla has sex with Creepy Aguirre.

*We see flashbacks of young Aguirre from back in the day.

*Selva, Colombia: Ritula & Co., are packing heat that they intimidated the Colombian border guards LOL.

*Ritula speaks with SuperJavi over the phone. Usual typical arguing & disagreements.

*Casillas Family Ranch: Ishmael & Cousin Diana sitting on the couch. I like to see a spin-off with Isabella Castillo (Diana) someday.

*Over in Tijuana: Crazy Tracy & DEA Lackey meet with the Creepy Hired Gun of Creepy Aguirre & they start drinking shots.

*Commercial breaks ensue on Telemundo.

*Meanwhile in Mexicali: Karla interviews Mecha & Roberta. However, Karla stops the interview to speak with Mecha.

*In Cancun: Karla & Creepy Aguirre taking drinks. We all know they're likely going to be having sex soon: Creepy Aguirre has slept with Diana & Ritula already.

*Colon with Corina at the hospital giving instructions, etc.,

*We're heading back to Selva, Colombia with SuperJavi & his Crew waiting for someone....until they see Ritula showing up.

*SuperJavi & Ritula embrace. They'll go back to bickering soon LOL.

*Over at La Casona (Residence of the Venezuelan President) in Caracas, President Maduro 2.0 & his female Chief of Staff are confronted by Aurelio, who intimidates both of them.

#31 – La Boda – Parte 1 de 2

César and Camila talk. He tells her that Barros (boo, hiss) hasn’t stopped trying to pin things on him, and now the press is doing that as well. He asks if she’s with him. Cami says that, if Adriana appears and says that what Estela said is not true, he could be saved.

Ale oversleeps with Chuy on her wedding day.

Luisa, the assassin calls FJ. He tells her he needs more time to get the $5 million.

Camila comes into Ale’s house but, sadly, doesn’t see Chuy there.

On the phone with FJ about how to raise the $5 million together, Pascual collapses.

César asks Noelia some questions about her time in captivity. She talks about the blindfolds. But she peeked and could see a pizza place. But then they arrived where Camila was waiting.

Pascual is foaming at the mouth. Olga is upset and has called for an ambulance. As usual Renata gets her way, bullies Olga, and Pascual doesn’t go to the hospital where poisoning might be diagnosed.

Cami and Fj talk. He’s trying to find DAMA. She tells him César is trying to get information. FJ tells her Adriana gave herself up to save her daughter. Cami retorts that it might have been the only kind thing she ever did. Cami also says that Adriana might have known her captor and called the person Cara Sucia. FJ wonders if it could have been Ale. Cami looks shocked and says that she wouldn’t have done something like that. Plus, Ale doesn’t need money. Cami asks him if he ought to be having these doubts about the bride on his wedding day.

The two harpies hover over Pascual. The odd tone of their voices make us wonder if it’s really happening or if he’s hallucinating. Eva says that they gave him an antidote. Renata tells him not to take it personal. She laughs and says that Eva owes her $100. Seems the bet was whether they could kill him. Camila and FJ rush to his bedside.

Nicole, Alejandra’s mother, is helping her to get ready for her civil wedding. [Wow, she had a natural birth; thought she might have been hatched from a serpent’s egg.}

César talks with Linda. He wants info about Luisa, the kidnapper. He says that Noelia said that Luisa left. But she’ll have to come back and they can track her to the hiding place.

Renata gushes over the arriving wedding guests, upsetting my stomach.

Cami and Ray talk. Cami says that Ale and Ray’s mother must not be thrilled with this sort of wedding. He agrees that Nicole would have liked a thousand guests by the beach.

Pascual tells Eva he was never going to run away with Adriana. But he’ll never forgive her, and she and Renata are the same kind of rotten.

#31 – La Boda – Parte 2 de 2

The weird wedding happens. There’s lots of pauses before either says “Accepto”.

Luisa brings some tequila to Adriana. Adriana tells her that she can’t really love anyone, but FJ loved her very much. Luisa says her jefe (masculine) must love her for wanting her here. Adriana jumps on this, saying she thought that Alejandra, female, was the one. Luisa says she doesn’t know “his” name. “You’ve mentioned Cara Sucia, right.” Luisa says she’s hired only until tomorrow. And tomorrow she’ll have to kill her.

The unbearable Yvonne is back on TV with Vero. She announces that Adriana has been kidnapped, and that she tried to save her daughter.

Adriana and Luisa talk some more. Luisa wonders why Adriana thinks a woman is behind this. Adriana laughs and says that Luisa doesn’t have a clue. [I suppose this means that Ale came for her visit when Luisa was not there.] Luisa replies that she’s paid to kill not to know who pays her.

Adriana jumps up to the one-way mirror, saying she’s NOT going to die. Then she seems to become a bit unhinged. She speaks to Mariana behind the mirror.

Back to Yvonne’s big moment. When Vero suggests César could be involved, Yvonne says no. She knows this from the person who’s being asked for the ransom money. {FJ, although Yvonne doesn’t say so.} Noelia has been watching this and is very upset. She says that she thought her mother went to the beach. She says that her father needs to find her mother, or she’ll be angry at him forever.

César tells Linda about the kidnapper asking FJ for $5 million. He says that Barros has done nothing but screw things up. He asks Linda to find Luisa.

FJ gets a call about the $5 million. Ale comes up to him asking him to put in an appearance outside to play happy couple for the press.

Adriana writes a letter to Noelia. She wonders whether Noelia will ever receive it. She also wonders whether someday Noelia will forgive her. What she’s done isn’t what a normal mother would do. She’s very proud of her. And that, since she was small, she prepared her to live without a mother at her side. She also writes that she would have given her life to save Noelia. It’s the only worthwhile thing she’s ever done. Her childhood was not easy. She never slept in a comfortable bed with a full stomach. No one said “I love you” to her like Noelia’s father does day and night.

We see a memory of Adriana and some bullies at the orphanage. The letter continues. You’re the only good thing I’ve ever done and, though I didn’t know how to love you, at least I could defend you.

FF clams up to the press about Adriana when they ask questions about the kidnapping and what Yvonne said. But Alejandra says SHE knows all about the kidnapping of Adriana Molina! And she’s working to help find her. FJ remembers the threatening email from Ale to Adriana. He seems to wonder “what” he married.

Novelera,Thank you for that detailed and snappy recap of all the madness and mystery. .

Watching Pasqual lying on the floor foaming at the mouth while Renata and Eva hovered over him was awful. Does Pasqual have a death wish ? Does he still not realize that these two are poisoning him ?

I think DAMA has gone BSC at this point. Her description of her childhood made me finally feel sorry for her. If Cara Sucio protected her in the orphanage, why has he now turned against her? Who could he be?

The sham wedding was pathetic. Chuy, go find yourself a nice girl.

Excellent recap! Thank you novelera! I know it is a serious thing to poison someone but I found the whole thing rather funny how Renata and Eva brought Pasqual back to life with the antidote. He was still clueless for awhile about what really happened. There is still a lot to unpack regarding his relationship with Adriana but at least he lives and according to Renata, learned a lesson.

The whole wedding was strange. With that huge house, beautiful yard and swimming pool area, we pack everyone into the living room?

“Nicole, Alejandra’s mother, is helping her to get ready for her civil wedding. [Wow, she had a natural birth; thought she might have been hatched from a serpent’s egg.}” Haha! This really gave me a chuckle! You sure called it novelera, Alejandra is going to “rescue” Adriana to “rescue” her non-existent campaign.

That whole one-way mirror thing is so interesting. For a second I did think that Adriana was showing her multiple personality disorder. Like Susanlynn, I felt sorry for her for a few seconds. The Cara Sucia angle is going to be another interesting twist.

The one I really do feel sorry for is Chuy. Somehow, we have to get him and Detective Linda in the same room together!

Thanks very much, novelera, for this splendid recap! I especially enjoyed your delightfully snarky "[Wow, she had a natural birth; thought she might have been hatched from a serpent’s egg.]." Even some of your straightforward statements sparkle with implicit snark, such as "Ale oversleeps with Chuy on her wedding day."

I somehow missed Renata telling Eva she owes her $100. I bet she'll hold her to it. Renata is...words fail me. Like you, I felt almost nauseas at her gushing over wedding guests as she greets them.

I was somewhat amused at FJ's appearance on his wedding day. His hair, especially, made him look as if he'd just gotten out of bed. I'm surprised Renata didn't say anything.

I was struck by how long and how often Alejandra looked at Chuy, not only when she was walking down the aisle but even at the altar. Both she and FJ took forever to say "I do." I almost wondered whether one of them would back out.

Thanks to the absurd TV coverage, Noelia now knows that she's been lied to, and that Adriana has not gone to the beach but has been kidnapped. Well, at least Noelia no longer "knows nothing," as was claimed on TV. And, of course, when César feels he can't tell his daughter that Adriana is OK, Noelia urgently pleads that she's in danger and he must fund her.

Adriana, meanwhile, seemed rather unstable in this episode. She hallucinates that FJ is there, and she apparently talks to "Mariana" through the mirror.

It's interesting that Luisa seems to know little or nothing about Alejandra. So apparently Ale isn't the one who hired her. As for Cara Sucia, Luisa says she has no idea who he is.

I loved Ray's words as he's officiating the wedding ceremony: "Before they change their minds, I now pronouce them man and wife."

So I guess we now see how Alejandra expects to use Adriana to save her flagging political campaign: Ale will be the one to rescue Adriana. But how can she keep Adriana from spilling the beans about what really happened?

Excellent comments, everyone. I must say these writers know how to keep us guessing.

Susanlynn, I'm pretty sure Pascual knows about the poisoning, especially since he heard the part about an antidote. Yep, Chuy needs to get on some dating apps, and pronto!

For some reason I think Big Ed is telling the truth when he told Eva there wasn't a "thing" between DAMA and himself. I think another reason for their relationship will be revealed. He did vehemently tell Renata he wished he'd never met DAMA. But Eva has put paid to their relationship by poisoning him because of jealousy.

VVS, Adriana seeming to address Mariana on the other side of the mirror was very odd. I've gone off multiple personality a bit. And, if that were the case, doesn't the person, in whatever person they're inhabiting right then not know about the "others"? A twin? And, yes, I like the idea of Chuy and Linda!

Juanita, thanks for mentioning what Ray said in the ceremony about their changing their minds. I missed that one.

I'm still annoyed at the writers coming up with a child threatening to never forgive the one parent who's always been there for her. Well, Adriana said, both out loud to the child and in her "goodbye" letter, that she had been molding Noelia to be independent. Maybe she also molded her to be manipulative.

The writers definitely have me guessing. Who really arranged the kidnapping? Lucia seems not to know about Alejandra, but she refers to a male person involved. If Cara Sucia did it, then how did Ale know where she was? Does Ale plan to get the $5 million for the ransom and use it for her campaign. Her beady little eyes were glowing when she thought Mariana had big bucks donors in Miami.

loved watching the actors ham it up, did Renata cancel the ambulance, can you do that?

and when Pascual was coming around and the ladies had taken the time to get dressed for the wedding, no we are not dressed this way for your funeral.

so Luisa leaves every night and returns in the morning, so I guess she wasn't there when Ale showed up, but Ale knew the layout well enough, and from what she was saying at the post wedding press conference about finding Adriana, I'm thinking Ale and Cara are in this together.

I was also seeing a hundred times Adriana could have gotten away, like when she was untied going to the bathroom while Luisa was drinking, not sure if Adriana got any of the booze.

so Cesar was pumping Linda (nice how she can just drop by) for what the police know about Luisa so he could catch her out and about and track her back to the hideout.

when Adriana was talking to Mariana what I remembered is the 2 necklaces, one with A and one with M, which were from before Adriana was married, is there a Mariana?

since we are the last to know, I hadn't realized no one knew about the Adriana's kidnapping.

poor Eva certainly isn't winning any points by poisoning the people she knows.

#32 "El rescate "

some things from memory in no particular order.

we'll forget about Ale setting up Ray to stay at her place with Cami, or Ale catching up on her sleep on the honeymoon night, or Ines popping in to see Tomas.

early on mrs. Ale all smiles swings by the kidnap shack with a deal Adriana can't refuse, I don't kill you and you smile for the press, nope, Adriana has 3 conditions, 1) Cesar is not a suspect (so he can take care of Noelia) 2) enough money to live good in Spain for 5 years 3) get me out of the country fast, hmm, Ale hesitates, but Adriana's "kill me" plea would surely kill the election, well ok, deal.

ca-ching, Cesar now has a million dollar account, yikes, he goes to Renata who says just give me back the money, after I go to the police Cesar says.

Pascual hits up Renanta for help with the ransom, nope.

born again Pascual takes FJ to his emergency stash (safety deposit box) and pulls out the entire $5 million, why? 1) FJ is his son 2) FJ loves her 3) and so he doesn't end up in a relationship like his. FJ is ready to roll.

Cesar has talked detective Linda into sharing police info, she gets a locate on Luisa driving around and steers Cesar to intercept, who follows the black suv to the kidnap shack, his plan has come together, (but what is the next part, does he have a gun, a club, a credit card with a $5 mil limit?)

Cami arrives to see Cesar, but he's not home.

before Cesar can get out of his car, the LAPD (as apposed to the SCPD san clemente) raid the kidnap house, Luisa is busted, (I bet she wishes she knew who hired her now)

(and I'm wondering about the roofing crew working next door that don't even notice)

Ale and the Vero press corp arrive, speeches and smiles all around, Adriana is freed and hauled off in an ambulance, before FJ can arrive to get his explanations.

csi is going over the crime scene.

Noelia sees her mommy is free, changes her clothes 3 times getting ready to see her, but Cesar arrives home alone.

Cesar tells Cami this is no longer Adriana's home, but with the excitement building to see her, Cami takes a kiss on the cheek and leaves.

Linda debriefs Adriana in the hospital as bubble blowing GumChew arrives.

Thanks VERY much, deb, for this delightful recap. I love your insightful, witty observations.

I don't have much to add to what you've said. I found it interesting that last night two characters expressed some regret. After Alejandra says something like "The only guests I cared about are the journalists, and they've all gone," Renata reflects to herself, "I hope this wasn't a mistake." And later, FJ comes to see Pascual and says about his marriage, "I don't know if I did the right thing, Papá."

And then, when Pascual takes FJ to the safe deposit box where he has stored his "emergency" money, Pascual says to him, "Don't marry someone you don't love. Don't make my mistake." Um, isn't his advice coming a bit late? It's true that Pascual wasn't able to attend FJ's wedding, but surely he knows that FJ did get married to Alejandra.

I can't wait to see how GumChew fouls up the works again. I still find myself wondering whether his stupid façade masks an intelligent crook, perhaps Cara Sucia.

I hate it that we'll have to wait until Tuesday for the next episode. Monday Las Casas de los famosos runs its finale from 8-10, followed by Señor de los cielos at 10 rather than 9. Grrr.

Thanks so much, deb, for getting us started. I wish I could remember more, but that's the way my brain seems to work these days!

One thing I'm hoping for is that Adriana, who seems to have made a deal with the devil, can somehow manage to put a spoke in Ale's wheel. She looked both exhausted and compliant, but she's had hunger and thirst to contend with. As a Californian, spare us from Alejandra, please!

It sure seemed like that money in the safe deposit box was Pascual's get out of Dodge fund. At least, IIRC, Renata hasn't seen it. And we know that he was willing to put all his chips on the table either to save DAMA or to help his son get answers. I was thinking there was some other reason for his being in touch with her before, but we heard him call her "mi amor" in one of the calls he made to try to reach her.

Please, writers, put in a big mistake and downfall for Veronica, the awful TV woman.

And I noticed that Cami pulled away from Cesar thinking that Adriana would now return home.

Thank you Novelera and Deb for the recaps!!! They made me laugh several times. I am behind again. I am planning a yard sale and getting ready to move next month it’s a lot of work! Lol I will catch up today.

After reading the recaps only I have two thoughts:

1. Does Renata really love Pascual? It would have to be in some twisted unhealthy way of course but there seems to be some repressed emotion there and she couldn’t bring herself to kill him. She seemed genuinely hurt by the fact that Pascual tried to poison her and when he made that comment about being with many women previously she looked like she wanted to cry. So maybe she really was in love while he married a woman he didn’t love?

2. Maybe Ray is Cara Sucia? And that’s how sissy has access to his hostage headquarters?? But that doesn’t really make sense with the green up together in the orphanage angle. But then maybe Ale’s family is a lie too. Constructed for the campaign picture and maybe she really did hatch from a serpent’s egg!! Lol

Darcy, yes, I was eyeing Ray up as a possible Cara Sucio , too, since he has managed to keep a rather low profile in this story . However , I keep thinking about the odd look DAMA gave Elvis when he entered the room. Then again , DAMA seems to always have some kind of odd look on her face no matter who is arounnd. DAMA is a loose cannon who has wandered in and out of a lot of lives.

Susanlynn: At this point, Cara Sucio could be ANYONE! Big question is whether we'll see the villains going down & getting their Karma anvils OR will we see a 2nd Season ?

#33 – Parte 1 de 2

We open with Gumchew interviewing Adriana in the hospital. He tries to get her to say she was running away from César. Linda is able to get him to back off. Renata calls to ask him about Adriana, looking nervous.

At the foundation Cami tells Ray that Adriana can take the heat off both César and Tomás by speaking up. Ray thinks Adriana and César could be together trying to get the $5 million ransom. Not sure what Ray really thinks, but he wants Camila to move away from César.

Adriana comes home walking through the crowd of press, looking like a zombie. She barely responds to Noelia’s hug.

When Noelia leaves Adriana alone to shower, she smells an item of clothing and says: “Mariana del Molina, you can help me. Get me away from here!”

After the farewell dinner for Nicole, Ale’s mother, the phoniest family in Los Angeles sit together in the Living Room with glasses of wine. Tomás comes in with Inés, and Renata tries to treat her like the help until Ray reminds the perra that Inés will be a key witness to defend Tomás.

César tries to ask Adriana questions and reminds her of how much Noelia missed her. Why did she make him look guilty? She gets exasperated and tells him that he invented an Adriana as a wife and mother. And he never really knew her.

Gumchew and Linda interview Luisa Ulloa, who says that Adrian knows who kidnapped her and that it was a woman.

Ale pretends to be a good person in the Living Room of Phonies. Tomás wants Adriana to come visit him. (He can't leave the house.)

#33 – Parte 2 de 2

There’s an awkward dinner with Cesar, Adriana, and Noelia. FJ calls César, begging to speak with Adriana. She picks up only to tell him she won’t speak with him. Cami shuts up Nicole, who’s trying to get information, by saying that, yes, she was on the front page of the newspaper kissing César Ferrer.

Rocío comes to see Adriana. Adriana calls Alejandra. She wants away from there and threatens to tell the police and the press who kidnapped her. She says that she left in the first place to resume her past life. She gives Ale 24 hours. Or she’ll get back into bed with FJ, tell him who Alejandra really is. And she’ll end up losing the election and her husband.

Adriana starts to tell Rocío about a person who will help her. Rocío: “Mariana?” Adriana scoffs at this, saying that Mariana is an egotist. Before more can be said César comes in.

Ale orders FJ to stay with her when he tries to pretend he has to have a drink with a client. She tells him he’ll sleep in her bed until the heat for Adriana passes.

César speaks with Cami on the phone. They both say they love the other one. César says he’s sure Adriana will leave Noelia again.

Adriana is tucking Noelia in. No story tonight. She tells her about sleeping in a big room with other kids. She also tells her daughter she needs to learn to forget her.

Rocío tells César that Adriana needs to go. While she’s there, she puts Noelia in danger again. “Someone won’t be happy until blood flows.” Adriana gives Rocío a note while they hug. We see Rocío read it in her car. “If anything happens to me, Senator Alejandra Edwards was my kidnapper.”

Renata offers to save César from going to prison if Camila promises to stay away from him.

César is making up a bed on the sofa. Adriana approaches and embraces him. She says she wants to spend the night sleeping with him, if only for that one night.
