Yesterday got away from me and I didn’t even manage to watch! I will watch this morning and come back and leave some comments in a bit, it will likely be very brief

SpanProf you are correct. I just went to look back and watch and I see that now. Strange I checked the whole schedule for the week at the beginning of the week like always so I could create the page and it wasn’t showing yesterday would be preempted then.

I guess I missed nothing, lol. As of right now it looks like we are back to a full week of episodes next week so that’s nice to see!

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 91 - Part 1 of 4

We begin with Conchita telling Elisa everyone speculated why she left. Did she leave with someone? Did she abandon her husband and babies? Did she move onto a better life? None of that! She was forced to leave. Disappear. She witnessed a crime, and her kids would be killed if she reported it. Las García are gobsmacked. Conchita asks what kind of soulless, gutless, heartless person would do such a thing. The Patio screams the answer in unison. Elisa says she had nothing to do with the crime. Her ONLY mistake was witnessing it all. That night, they killed a man and destroyed her family and heart!

Opera Man shows an investigator photos of the phalanges he uncovered while digging for an old belonging on Augi’s farm.

Augi tells Patty-Cake via phone he’s gotten nowhere with Stolen Parts-gate. Patricio says some party members are worried about their image and may switch candidates. Augi will call the investigator for an update (uh oh) and remains uncharacteristically cool as a cucumber. Pat says it will be an uphill battle to convince the public. Augi rolls his eyes, thanks him for his support and hangs up - calling Pat an idiot (Meanie!!!). Augi says he need to find someone to pin this on ASAP.

Elisa plays selections from her Greatest Hits broken record. She needs her sons back! Conchita delicately says, “Sorry, Toots! We have no idea where your boys are. We can’t help you (paraphrased)!” Guadalupe interjects with “¡Sí, se puede! Mariluz knows where Lisardo is!!!” Snap! Elisa is not there to find her boys. She knows exactly where they are. This little dance is so good that I want to make popcorn. Turns out the boys want nothing to do with her. They think she’s a killer.

The scene changes to Vic clutching the fabled Tree of Life box and declaring she must find Elisa to find the truth. Are Elisa and Augi in cahoots? Back to Elisa - telling Las García about the Tree of Life Box which may contain evidence to clear her name and reunite her with her sons! Lupe knows the box!!! Conchita too!!! Right before Vic Sr. died, he gave it to Vic. Elisa says then it must be at the manse. Las García warn Elisa what a bitch-on-wheels Vic can be. Maybe just maybe, Vic would let her see the box if Elisa told her everything she knows. The patio screams, “Really?!” Conchita makes it worse - saying she can talk to Augi and tell him the whole truth. The Patio and Elisa both yell, “No!!!” Elisa begs Las García to zip their lips about this whole matter. They agree; moreover, they will help her with anything she needs.

Fede tells Carloca that Augi sent Jesús to Tijuana. He reminds her that he’s still on probation so info is limited. He says it’s best if they stay quiet so he can keep an eye on Jesús.

Saúl confirms with Augi that it’s clear what he has to do. Uh oh. Fede will give Saúl contact info, and Augi wants this (unknown) chore to be resolved overnight! Exit Saúl; enter Carlota. She’s livid that Jesús is away and starts rifling through papers on Augi’s desk(!). The girl is good. She finds the Tijuana reservation and demands answers. Augi LIES LIES LIES. She wants to know if Augi is trying to break them up. He asks the logical question: is she taking her meds (as all signs point to no). She doesn’t need meds; she needs hubby! To calm his favorite firecracker, he offers a trip with Jesús anywhere she wants for a week. She hugs him and manages to look relieved, thankful, unhinged, and even cute all at once. It’s amazing acting. Alone, she talks to Iker, Jr. She says they are all 3 going on vacation and tries to assures Iker, Jr. that Jesús will be his father (LOL).

It’s the Morning After in Tijuana. Mariluz is asking what they’ve done. He justifies it by saying they lurve each other. She reality checks him and thanks him for helping her. The broken record starts again. Urge to hit the mute button: RISING. Earlier I’d suggested it might be nice if he stayed ½ naked and silent until the finale. I’m now amending that to include her as well.

A ludicrous PSA for Eating Disorders happens next. Renata is trying to impress Rodrigo with her “fit” figure in a new outfit. He cruelly tells her she’s not sexy and actually still jowl-y. Life Coach Emma tries to tell her to A. Ignore Rodrigo, B. Eat a Sandwich, and C. Find happiness within. Her advice falls on starved ears.

Fede callls Carloca with some bad news. Jesús is coming home, but according to the flight information, the seat next to him is ocupado. It’s time for Carloca to play detective.

Jesus & Mari land, and she wants to get as far away from him as quickly as she can.

New Lapdog Fede has made Augi his cafecito just the way he likes it and is ready for a new day. Augi tells him he needn’t enter the room while Augi & Jesús are debriefing. Fede has news about the Veracruz strike, but Augi tells him to stay in his lane. Godfather Augi says trust must be re-earned, and until then, Fede is only privy to basic information. Oh, and regarding the strike, it ain’t over until Augi says it’s over, and it needs to be extended (keeping Villalba away)!

Meddling Emma calls the family doctor for help with an acquaintance who’s showing gateway signs of bulimia or anorexia. The doctor tells Emma her acquaintance should marry Jesús, double her meds, and avoid all flammables. Oops. That was Carloca’s diagnosis. The doctor recommends a Specialist and warns of grave consequences.

Valero and Mica meet. Mica has a surprise for him. It’s some sort of handmade bag(?) emblazoned with his name. With every button she sewed she was thinking of HIM. Now he has a place for his most prized possessions. The scene is as cute as it is random. Must be some foreshadowing.

Adrián, Belén, and Sergio are visiting Gus. They exchange updates and Adrián says he has a date with Emma. They are going to recapture their flame. Emma, now equipped with some superhuman sonar, hears someone throwing up in the girls’ bathroom from across the school. She races to the rescue. Two girls are in the restroom and act almost as uninterested as the patio. Yes. It’s Renata. The throwing up? That’s so Renata. Emma says that’s so Bulimia and demands Renata open the stall. The two girls make duck lips and take selfies. I wish I were making that up.

Augi is giving Jesús the third degree about Lisardo Sánchez (LOL). He relieves him of Lisardo duties and puts him on Carloca detail. She is now Jesús’s top priority. Augi reassembles and stares at Elisa’s latest note (which he’d torn to pieces). Fede arrives with some big, covered artwork. Augi thinks it’s related to his candidacy. It’s a painting of Octavio’s grave and another one of Octavio’s knives(?). Augi wonders if Elisa and Opera Man are behind this all. Modesta calls. The police are at the farm and on a mission: diggin’ up bones by the old oak tree! Augi gulps and actually chokes. He orders Modesta not to let them in until he gets there. Too late, she tells him. They’ve already pulled the body. He’s never looked this uncomfortable. He clutches his heart and lays back. He can’t breathe!

Villalba is smoking a cigar and spitting words out a mile a minute. Why can’t we get a PSA for smoking and/or incessant babbling? His monologue marathon is interrupted by an unfortunate messenger sent to tell him the strike is still on. He can’t believe it.

Guadaluoe and Conchita decide not to tell Mariluz anything about Elisa since they kinda promised…oh, and for safety reasons as well. This duo’s new broken record: whoever did this to Elisa has got to pay!

Vic finds Augi horizontal, clutching his chest, struggling with breath, and sweaty. He claims it’s just a cramp (LOL). She calls for help immediately.
 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 91 - Part 4 of 4

Emma lectures Renata on eating disorders and offers to get her help. Renata is as annoying, stubborn, delusional, and one-dimensional as ever. Emma threatens to tell her parents. Renata threatens to make her life hell. Mother Theresa Emma says she doesn’t care about that; all she wants is for Renata to be well. The latter agrees to see Emma’s doctor, and the patio prays that this two-bit after school special is finally over.

Carloca cooly receives Jesús. She wants (and needs) to take a couple’s trip and make love (her words). She needs kisses and to be told Jesús is hers. She needs all this NOW and starts kissing Jesús.

Mariluz is reunited with Las García. She’s worried about the strike and their project. Villalba hasn’t called. Patty-Cake then calls and invites her to eat.

Jesùs breaks away and clutches his abdomen (wound) citing food poisoning and declaring himself a little delicate/sensitive (LOL). She’s not buying it. He reminds her that el sexo could be harmful to the baby. Her tone gets icy and more intense. Does he love her? Is he leaving her? He reassures her, and she beckons him to lie down. She hasn’t slept.

Damián enters the garage looking for Samu. This is bizarre. The last time we saw Damián was in pictures - drugged and in bed with Fede’s walking STD. None of this is mentioned. Instead Valero tells him not to get angry, but Samu has gone out with Doménica. Beyond what is going on with Samu & Doménica, Damián has a score to settle. He stalks off.

Samu & Doménica are apparently on a hike/picnic. He tells her he just wants to cheer her up. She slips on the rocks and he catches her. They are awfully close. Damián is outside the garage working furiously with some wire. Samu & Doménica reach their destination, sit close on a rock, and look at the fishes. Damián breaks into Fede’s car, hops in, and starts feeling around. Samu & Doménica are now fishing, and it’s super cute. Damián finds a mysterious thumb drive in the glove compartment.

Thank you O.S! Your recap is both informative and hilarious as always! I especially loved: 'Why can’t we get a PSA for smoking and/or incessant babbling?' hehehehe

I wonder now that Loopy and Conchita semi-promised how long will it be before one the Guerrero brothers hear rumblings that mommy was nearby claiming innocence of the horrible crime she's been accused of. That would get them thinking.

Also, who's buried in the Finca? When I saw Augi clutching his chest I thought maybe I was wrong and Augi was the next to be poisoned and not MD, but he's probably just having a panic attack or a heart attack!

Carloca's 'I want sex!' is the most entertaining dead horse we have around here.

I don't mean to sound insensitive, since eating disorders are definitely nothing to joke about but I couldn't help but laugh during the scene in the bathroom as the retching sounds went on and on and on.....I mean how much did tiny Renata eat? It sounds like about 10 gallons of water going down the toilet!! The idea that her friends stand by bored and uninterested is horrible. I will not feel sorry for Renata - if the writers are trying to make me feel sorry for her they will not succeed; but this chick has parents that don't give a damn about her that was established when she and Emma were still besties and now we know that besties she has left care about her as much as her parents do....sad but not surprising since she's so toxic.

Well I guess that's all for now. I have a busy Saturday and a pounding headache to contend with! Should be fun! LOL Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend!
 

Guerrero. Another excellent recap, O.S.! The police don't seem too inclined to oppose Augi, and we still don't know who the corpse is. Yep, the acting by the actress playing Carlota is superb! Thank goodness! The corpse is being dug up. I suspect Augi will survive his heart attack. Wouldn't be a bad way to get rid of him at the end, though. Vic is not all bad--she does call a doctor for Augi.
