Thanks, Darcy, SpanProf, and Waterlily, for the comments and feedback and keeping our conversation going.

Really looking forward to see where our show takes us after last week’s comic goldmine!

The writers seem to be in full Passions mode, and I hope we get some FUN along with some traction to our story.

Things I want: Valero out of jail, more Sam, Selena to be safe, Opera Man to have survived, and a bumper crop of of anvils for the deserving.

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 97 – Part 1 of 3

Lupe calls Villa and tries to explain, but somethings have no explanation and Lupe has no words… Villa is eating alone and looking sad but no tells Lupe to take all the time she needs to decide and let him know when her feelings are clear. He tells himself to wait and hope!

Lupe thinks back to Augi’s words and for some crazy lady this woman thinks she has an opportunity for both herself and Mari! (YUCK) Modesta also encourages Lupe to think of herself as the Lady of the Finca this is too crazy to recap.

Augi goes home and lies to Vicky about where he’s been and why he moved his things from their room. He just wants to have dinner has usual. He has a drink and thinks back to telling Lupe he’s going to convince her that she is still his.

Damian has found a photo of Jesus in Army greens! He demands answers again and Jesus is slightly less cagy but still brief. Jesus says the less they know the better because his past is dangerous and Damian asks if that’s why he changed his name? After all, everything – the business and building – is in Jesus’s name but the name Jesus Guerrero, not Lisardo. Jesus sighs and tells his brothers he’s only going to tell them once and then never talk of it again. He says he is (? He used present tense not past) an agent of some secret forces operation, (I think) he caught some big wig bad guy, and that because of that a lot of people could still want to kill him. But, it also put him in witness protection and gave him the new name and the location so that he was able to get close to Augusto and to reunite with his brothers.

Fede is back at the club looking at Selena and offering to introduce this weeks’ scumbag to !!! They are discussing the parts scandal and Fede is telling him he’ll have to declare against Valero, the guy doesn’t want to have anything to do with it but Fede threatens him and leaves it clear the dude has no choice.

Belen goes to look for explanations from Adrian and Emma about why they missed the dance competition but apparently the simple fact that both Em and Adrian happened to be speaking to other people – Ren and Laura – meant they didn’t care about the competition. Belen packs up and leaves the Adrian shack. Notable is Renata lied to Em and told her that she went to the competition and everything went well but she didn’t know who won because it wasn’t announced yet??? Okay!

d. Abel and Conchita discuss their first night together as husband and wife, she didn’t sleep well cause he snores, he was cold because she hogged the blankets. They agree that they will each have to get used to sharing a bed after being so used to sleeping alone.

Augi and Fede discuss the developments with Vicky’s lawyer….I didn’t get the specifics but Fede was ordered to stay on top of it.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 97 – Part 2 of 3

Damian and Jesus discuss Valero and they still don’t know how to get him out of jail. Damian mentions it’s the anniversary of dad’s death and they decide to go to visit the grave. They go to grab Samuel and of course after they are gone, Elisa shows up deciding she can’t wait any longer to tell them the truth. She knocks on the garage door calling out ‘Sons!’.

Augi takes Lupe to some anti-romantic surprise lunch. They talk about whether or not Augi is too busy with work and all kinds of other stuff. I can’t write up all this junk so I am condensing the whole Augi/Lupe interaction for the episode into this paragraph. Augi gives the hard sell and for some reason that defies all reasoning I can come up with Lupe is charmed by this!!! She feels like she FINALLY has the grand opportunity to have the love of her life and Mari can FINALLY have her daddy!!! GAG!!! Lupe falls into Augi’s stupid arms and these two end up in bed by the end of the episode… it’s not true love so much as truly sick love.

Vicky is searching all over for more papers from dad. The lawyer wants more samples of her father’s handwriting. Fede comes in and Vicky asks if Fede found out more info about the man he shot. Fede says he found out where the man lived and he will take her there. Elisa probably lives there too and they can get some answers!!! Together they will find the answers Vicky needs, Fede would do anything for Vic!

Valero meets with the officer again and the ‘witness’, Valero continues to insist he did nothing but the dude claims they know each other well and lies that they were in the fraud together. The cop believes the false witness of course! Valero is carried back to his cell. Mari and Patty see the news briefing on Valero and Mari says it’s impossible to believe Valero could do this. Patty thinks people are capable of surprising things for money. Mari doesn’t think Valero is like that but Patty says if he’s innocent they will prove it and if not, maybe those guys in the shop aren’t who Mari thinks they are!

So the Guerrero boys left for the graveyard first and Elisa was at the shop, but somehow, she’s also at the graveyard before them. Damian finds Frida at dad’s grave! At the same time, Fede, Vicky and some dude and black are finding Elisa’s house and Vicky says this time she won’t escape! They read Elisa’s address book and Fede figures out they must be at the graveyard. Fede and Vicky take off for there and leave their thug behind in case Elisa returns home. Fede tries to call Augi but he doesn’t answer and even Vicky knows he’s with Lupe.

Damian approaches Frida and demands to know what she’s doing here. She tells him she must be there for the same reason he is and he wants to know if/how Frida knows about the anniversary. Elisa notices Sam and Jesus are coming up too and she comments on that. Damian asks if she knows his brothers and she admits she does. The boys arrive and Jesus wants to know who this woman is but Sam remembers her as the pretty lady from the garage. Elisa tells them that she needs to tell them something, a secret she can’t keep any more. She starts by telling how she witnessed a crime and was forced against her will to abandon her family. She was thrown in the back of a car and they drove a long time before she finally was able to get to the driver. She only meant to scare him but he lost control of the car, she tells them about the fire and how she somehow escaped, but she was unconscious for many days and when she did come to she lost her memory but when she finally did know what was going on, she couldn’t return anyway or they would make good on her threat to kill her sons… Jesus asks if she’s saying what he thinks she is and Elisa confirms! That’s right ya’ll, the near misses and teases are over, Elisa voices the truth ‘I am Elisa Curso!!! I am your mother!’ Elisa looks right at Jesus and calls him Lisardo, she also calls Damian and Samuel by their names.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 97 – Part 3 of 3

Damian demands to know why Elisa didn’t tell him the truth sooner but she tells him she didn’t know. It wasn’t until he told her the story about his mother that she realized the Guerrero brothers were really her sons. Jesus wants to know why she didn’t tell them at that point and Elisa says it’s because Damian told her that he believed his mother was a murderer and that she killed her lover!!! She couldn’t bring herself to tell him the truth then and wanted to wait until she had proof of her innocence but she can’t take anymore. She had to tell them the truth. She begs them to believe her when she tells them she didn’t kill anyone and she was never Don Victoriano’s lover!!! The boys look torn and especially Sam looks very vulnerable but they say nothing as Elisa goes on and on trying to explain her desperation. She tells them again she was forced to leave them and she’s suffered all this time being away from them! She begs them to tell her what she has to do to get them to believe her. She’s willing to do anything, she gets down on her knees to beg but it’s more than Jesus can take and he tells her she doesn’t have to do that and to please get up off her knees. Elisa stands and Jesus notices her scar. Elisa takes off the scarf and shows the burn on the side of her face, her only proof of the accident. The boys continue to look at mom and listen to her explanations but no one is embracing her yet. Sam almost goes but then backs off. Elisa says he’s Samuel, her baby. He was just a baby when she last saw him and Sam is fully sobbing now but on Damian’s shoulder and not mom’s. Elisa looks at Jesus next and says he’s her Lisardo, she puts her hand to his face and he lets her. Elisa says she sees his still the protector and still so serious. She looks next to Damian and calls him by name, her Damian, her rebel….

Elisa still isn’t getting anything more than silent listening and she isn’t going to pressure them. She’s ready to leave. She tells the boys they will see her again when she has proof and she can show them that what she is saying is true. Jesus remembers again the day Elisa painted them as children but this time he sees Mom’s face along with hearing her voice! ‘Don’t go!’ He holds out his charm and asks if mom remembers it. Elisa can’t believe he still has it and all three boys show they have theirs. Elisa too pulls out a charm on a rope and Jesus calls out, ‘Mama!’ Jesus embraces his mother and tears of relief flow freely down Elisa’s face as she finally has her eldest son back in her arms! She hugs and kisses him and Sam is next to say ‘Mama?’ Elisa says yes, come here baby, come my love; and Sam is next into her embrace. Damian is last and he asks for forgiveness for not believing in her and speaking to her the way he did but Elisa says not to say any more and to just hug her, they hug and then a group hug ensues as Elisa hugs and kisses all three thanking God for finally bringing her sons back into her arms!

Is Lupe on drugs? I just can't make sense of this plot. What is this supposed to be? It's creepy and disturbing.And thy claim polution is supposed to be our biggest concern.
I don't know why, but I wasn't as affected by this whole reencuentro as I probably should have. Maybe because it's one of those things I've seen.
Does anyone know what is going to replace this telenovela?
 

Guerrero. Another excellent recap, Darcy! I love your expressions of revulsion. The scene between Augi and Lupe: Gee, Augi, too bad you're an evil murderer! Their relationship is surprisingly boring. So Vicki thinks it would have been ok to kill Elisa? She just feels guilty about killing someone else by mistake. Why frame Valero, of all people?

Thank you ladies! We are definitely going off the rails where Augi and Lupe are concerned but I'm excited Elisa and her sons are now reunited. Let's hope we get some good action from that this week! Waterlily, I am not sure what follows this, I haven't seen any ads or mentions but they don't always show ads for what's coming to daytime. We are still 20+ episodes to go so at least a month. I will post an update as soon as I get one but I'm betting I won't know much more than a week in advance if that.

I am working on today's recap and it will be up in a couple hours!
 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 98 – Part 1 of 3

**Please forgive any typos I don’t have much time to edit today.

The brothers Guerrero bring mommy home and find Fede’s thug in the bathroom. Super cute moment where Sam hits the guy even after Jesus has the guy subdued and says ‘he was going to wake up!’ LOL The boys say it’s too dangerous for mom to stay there alone, she’s coming to live with them! Elisa is reluctant because she doesn’t want to endanger them but they want to take care of Mom. Jesus says they can’t let Augi find her and Elisa confirms that Augi was the one who threatened to hurt them all those years ago. She can’t let anything happen to them!

Fede arrives at the graveyard and finds no one of course! Mica receives a delivery and it’s Vicky’s tree box, back before she even realized it was gone. Mica puts it back. When Fede and Vicky get back to Elisa’s they both hit the would be thug a few more times and then they see the security footage of Elisa with her three sons. The video must have been unclear cuz no one comments on the Guerrero of it all.

Carloca finds her medical papers lying out and wonders if Jesus found it. Next, she goes to the shop to get Jesus and after telling her she should be at home on bed rest, Jesus agrees to go home with her since it’s late. He asks Damian to say goodbye to…..Samuel, Damian fills in and Jesus agrees.

Adrian apologizes to Sergio for not making it to the competition and explains about Emma breaking up with him and the cab breaking down. Sergio is understanding but he tells Adrian that it’s Belen who is upset, in fact she took off and hasn’t returned. Emma didn’t make it to the competition either and they were disqualified.

Samu is pushing the beds together so mommy will be more comfortable which is what he wants. His plan is that mom will sleep right there in the room with them so they can take care of her. Damian comes in and agrees. They talk more about how they could have possibly not recognized each other at the painting competition and there’s a lot more hugs and kisses from Elisa. Elisa wants to know everything about her sons but they don’t want to tell her all the details because they don’t want to upset her. Damian just says Sam is studying now because he didn’t have an easy childhood, Sam says Damian’s wasn’t any easier. But it’s okay, because everything is okay now!!! Now they are together and happy. Samu gets more hugs from mommy and Damian jokes that she’s his mom too. Sam shoots back, no she’s mine.

Oh goodness, Domi is actually writing down a pro/con list to compare Sam and Damian and try to decide who she likes!!! I don’t like this……it’s episode 97 we don’t need Domi torn between two brothers the choice was made long ago. Oh, what a coincidence, Elisa just happens to ask about love and whether or not her sons have girlfriends in that very same moment. They boys both say no and evade the subject.

Mari is thinking about Jesus, what a shock!!! She and Concha discuss this AGAIN! Concha wants her to stay away from Carloca and to give Patty a chance. Mari says she can’t help how she feels, ironically when she was with Lisardo she felt the same as when she was with Jesus! LOL Jesus is holding Carloca in bed and thinking about falling in his own trap and losing the love of his life. Patty is thinking that Mari will never get over Jesus while he’s still hanging around. He calls a buddy and asks about some opportunity up North and whether or not he can bring an assistant. Conchita reluctantly tells Mari about Lisardo’s mother, Elisa, showing up on their doorstep a few days ago.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 98 – Part 2 of 3

Jesus thinks about getting his mom back and how they now need to find a way to bring Augi down even more.

There’s not much sleeping and a lot of talking going on in the Guerrero casa as newly reunited mother and sons spend some much-needed time bonding. Damian asks the question, the answer seems obvious but he needs to ask, it was Augusto who killed Victoriano, right? Elisa admits it was. She saw the whole thing then he made her disappear and blamed her. Sam says he won’t do anything else because if he does he’ll kill him himself!!! Elisa says not to talk that way.

Mari and Conchita talk next about Mom’s disappearance and whether or not Augi took her. Conchita says she doesn’t think so, she’s sure of it. As soon as Augi realized Vila’s intentions were serious he went crazy with jealousy. Conchita seems to think Lupe will never fall back into Augi’s arms, but she’s wrong that’s exactly where her daughter is, sleeping with the enemy. Augi holds you, gazes at her and we hear all his true love thoughts that no one is interested in.

Next, Elisa and the boys talk about Octavio and she says their dad was her grand and ONLY love!!! So, I guess she didn’t love Santi. Which honestly fits, Santi seemed much more devoted than Elisa. Elisa talks about how happy she is to finally be back with them and hear them call her mom and Damian and Sam both say ‘Mama, Mama, Mama’ over and over again!

The next morning, Lupe has buyer’s remorse! Who can blame her? Augi tries to play the loving partner while Lupe tries to claim this is just a one-night stand. Delusional Augi is even talking about how Lupe can stop working and just be taken care of by him, has he met the woman he supposedly loves? Lupe tries to get him to think about others, like his daughters for instance, but of course, Augi doesn’t think about anyone but himself ever!

I guess Domi really wasn’t at the wedding, because she’s asking Emma about the rumors that Lupe was taken away by a masked man. Why was Emma at the wedding again? Em starts to tell Domi what little she knows and the girls rope Mica into their gossip session but Mica tries to demur, she does let it slip however that mommy and daddy are sleeping in separate rooms.

Vicky wakes up and cries about Augi spending the night with that horrible Lupe…. why does she even care anymore??? Lupe continues to reject Augi and when he leaves to give Lupe time to think he orders Modesta to keep her locked up so she can’t leave and go home as she threatened to do.

The guys and d. Abel talk about the Valero situation and how the money had to have been planted. They only hope they have is to get fingerprints off the money and prove someone else was handling it? I guess…. Laura comes to pick up Adrian for school and all the guys look at her like Adrian sure replaced Em fast. They do to get Adrian’s backpack and we see Fuego (Adrian’s dog) is taking off with a conspicuous manilla envelope. Adrian and Laura are about to leave when Sergio comes in and reports Belen is still no where to be found! They take off to look for her.

Jesus introduces momma to d. Abel and they are thrilled to meet. Elisa is very grateful to d. Abel for taking care of Jesus.

Another confrontation between Augi and Vila, how new and different! LOL this time it turns into a physical fight but it ends as quickly as it starts because Patricio arrives. They are thrilled to announce the official launch of Augi’s candidacy and Augi says not to worry Vicky supports him unconditionally. Vicky though, is unconditionally pissed though and is ordering the guard to take her to the Finca.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 98 – Part 3 of 3

Adrian, Sergio and Laura come to see Emma who is unfortunately with Renata, who is immediately rude to Adrian. Adrian wants to know where Belen is and Em has to say she hasn’t seen her but she’ll come help look. Rod shows up too and is his normal rude self but reluctantly agrees to help. The search party splits into two groups – Em, Ren, and Sergio and Adrian, Laura and Rod – to go search out Belen. Belen needs rescuing STAT too because some ladies have spotted her and decided she’s really pretty and the boss will pay top dollar for her!!!! I will never ever in my life understand how a woman can sell another woman/girl/child in slavery. I can’t understand how a man could do it either, but that’s another subject entirely.

Domi is showing one of their benefactors around the garden and all the progress the kids have made. Domi suggests giving the kids some kind of reward and two of the kids are play wrestling and the idea offers itself, they want to go to the wrestling matches!!! Captain Justica wants a wrestling match too (can you believe it?) he wants to win lots of money because the woman he loves is rich and he needs to impress her. Oh boy! The trainer dude says he can put a match together that very night but Sam better win!

Elisa goes to see Conchita and Concha thanks her for returning the box. Elisa says unfortunately she didn’t get what she needed from the box but she will find a way. She just came to thank Conchita and Lupe for their help. Concha says Lupe isn’t there and at that moment, Mari walks in! She recognizes Elisa immediately and when Concha says ‘Elisa’, Mari puts together that she is Lisardo’s mother! (I really think there’s some weird cutting going on today because this is the end of the Mari/Elisa interaction and we never see anything past Mari asking ‘You’re Lisardo’s mother?’)

Mica comes to the shop looking for someone/thing but finds it empty. She’s getting some papers Jesus was leaving her but she ends up with the manilla envelop and takes it home and puts it in Augi’s study. Speaking of, Augi gets a call from Dr. Vega informing him that Jesus went to see the other doctor asking about Carloca’s condition.

Elisa arrives back home and she mentions she was chatting with Mari even though we never got to see any of this. The boys hustle her into the shop and shut the door quickly as they are afraid of her being seen by Augi. Elisa asks Jesus, btw, what happened between you and Mari? We don’t see this answer either which is fine, who needs to hear that story again.

Fede finds the envelope and wonders how it got there? He starts reading Amelia’s letters and finds out Adrian’s name!!! We definitely see this time the Fede has the dark butterfly on the back on his neck!

The search for Belen continues with Rod not wanting to go in the direction they want to look because it’s the ‘bad neighborhood’. He insults Belen and Rod and Adrian almost fight. Meanwhile, Emma finds out Ren didn’t go to the competition as she said and we see Ren has zero concern or care for Belen or Sergio as well. Em isn’t happy but she acknowledges that finding Belen is most important right now. She’s right too as Belen is locked in a bathroom and she can hear the ladies on the phone offering to sell her to the boss.

Lupe is pacing from being locked up when she finally hears footsteps, she’s ready to let Augi have it, but it’s Vicky! There to let her have it for sleeping with her husband!!! I can’t stand either of these characters and I don’t give a hoot about their fight but I like these actresses together, they play well off each other and should have been scene partners more often!

Augi barges into the shop like he owns the place demanding Jesus and treating Damian and Sam like they don’t exist when they try to stop him. Jesus plays the part well enough and suggests they go to his office but before he can scurry Augi off, Augi gets a whiff of Elisa’s perfume!!! Uh oh! How will the Guerrero’s explain this one? We’ll find out tomorrow.


 

Guerrero. Another great recap of a novela that seems to be deteriorating in quality as it comes to an end, Darcy. Yep, it's weird no one recognizes the Guerreros on the security video--something tells me the script could have used a rewrite. And once again Augi and Lupe are very boring. Again, why target Valero? Will the group of young folks find Belen before she is trafficked? Oh, the suspense! Isn't Sam now a wrestling champ? Shouldn't he have a lot to say about his fights? Once again we see that Mexico doesn't have the medical privacy laws we have here.

No time for a recap today, I'll have to just comment the main things I can remember:

Lupe actually has the nerve to try to justify herself to Vicky and take the high road after sleeping with Augi!!! I am officially done with her! I had zero loyalty or sympathy for Vicky but the supposed 'good' guy justifying adultery?? YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK

The kids manage to find Belen before the harpy's can traffic her! Yay, there was a moment where Gus was going to force himself to walk to go rescue Belen and I thought he was going to get his magic moment and run/skate away to the rescue, he only made it a couple of steps instead of all the way to the rescue but the way this show is going I expected him to run before he walked! Either way, he's now officially on the walking mend. Emma apologized to Belen and lit into Ren again for lying about the competition. She mad it clear that they can't be friends if Renata is going to do things to hurt her other friends.

Mica was in the shop too and she had tried on Elisa's perfume so that shook the suspicion of Elisa off Augi and he and Jesus later talked. Jesus wanted to prove that Valero had nothing to do with the fraud but Augi is personally offended by the idea that Jesus would chose Valero over his family - they are in-laws, of course! Jesus turns it around and asks where Augi's loyalty was when he and Carloca lied to him about Carly's mental health! Jesus makes it clear that he won't allow his child to be in danger. He will stay until Loca has the baby and then he is leaving Carloca and taking the baby with him!!! Carloca overhears this and throws a FIT!!! This goes down the usual road of you don't love me and Mari is your lover, but Jesus backs down to try to calm Carloca. He swears Mari isn't his lover. Carly is calm for now, but she promises Jesus that if he leaves her or dares to try to take her child then she really will go insane!!!

Sam goes to the club and finally sees Selena. According to Linda, he was looking at Selena with interest (??) I couldn't see his face clearly in the dark club but I didn't notice any longing looks. Sam doesn't like the idea of Selena in a place like that and he tries to convince her to leave but she refuses. She asks Sam to leave instead because she doesn't want him mixed up in the mess at the club and she says he doesn't care about her anyway, he just loves Domi.

Speaking of Domi, she finds out 'Frida' is staying at the shop via Mica and she confronts Damian with the misunderstanding that Frida is his lover, Damian tries to ask Domi not to say anything about Frida being at the shop but Domi just calls him shameless and stalks off!

What else am I missing?? You tell me, I can't remember! :)
 

Guerrero. Darcy, thanks for your succinct summary, which hit all the highlights and for all you do to keep this site running. Yep, the whole Victoriana/Guadalupe scene was very yucky. But at least it means that Lupe can leave the finca. I kind of figured Belen would be rescued--and rescue herself. I think Emma should just 100% dump Renata as a friend--Now! Selena is better off in the club than she had been with the loathsome Fede. The Domi and Damian standoff/miscommunication is just stupid.
