Who's doing the recap for this afternoon's episode ? It seems like we're almost around the corner of conclusion & if the lovebirds get their happily ever after.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1OO(!) - Part 1 of 3

Our centennial episode starts with Lupe and Conchita comparing notes. Lupe is on Fantasy Island (having waited 2O years for what happened). Conchita can’t believe she fell for Augi’s bull…AGAIN. Lupe is remorseful, embarrassed; she knows she screwed up. How will she ever face her daughter (who enters stage left right on cue). Mari’s first question: are you the Ruíz Montalvo home wrecker.

Vic + Martini & Rossi Asti Spumoni are ranting and raving to Fede about what went down at the finca. She must be on her 2nd bottle because Fede tries (in vain) to take her glass.
Mari reads Lupe the Riot Act. Las García ask each other for forgiveness(!). Conchita joins them in a group hug.

Vic is bitching about everything around her. Lupe. The mechanics. Emma. The takeaway here is that she reveals to Fede that Adrián is an orphan. Fede calls someone and asks them to break into the garage for a DNA sample.

Speaking of Adrián, it is revealed that he’s had 4 absences which is over the limit, and now he’s disqualified from his final (exam?). The stuffy Professor is not having any excuses when burgeoning legal begal Laura reminds him that they are LAWYERS! Did I miss an episode? When did she pass the bar.? She makes an after school special argument about justice. Professor Stiff glares at Adrián (probably that stoopid earring). He will get a second chance.

Carlota is in full creepy mode and asks Fede to help her get a poison which leaves no traces and can be administered little by little. Patio, get your bingo cards.

Patty-Cake enters Mariluz’s kitchen and is ready to go when she sneezes and blows Tajín all in his face. This scene is random as all get out but notable for his cool pink tie and comical yelps.

Valero is released from jail. He gives the detective an earful about the way he’s been treated and then his inmates hug him and celebrate this new development. Don Abel is there to escort him out and Mica greets him with hugs and kisses. Jesús is there and Valero wants to know where everybody else is. “At home waiting” is all Jesús can say. Mica spills the frijoles: they have a new tenant! Jesús looks around the room uncomfortably.

Ok. Univisión must be chopping scenes left and right. The next scene starts with Jesús, Damián, Valero, and Sam introducing Adrián to Elisa at the garage. Elisa finds out Amelia had a kid and said kid wears a stoopid earring and doesn’t know his father. Elisa tells Adrián sweet things about his mom.

Maybe I spoke too soon. The guys are now welcoming Valero home, and he cries (LOL). They all hug and Jesús tells Elisa THIS is their family. They all toast with a beer (even though Jesús tells Adrián he can’t-LOL).

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1OO(!) - Part 2 of 3

In a fine tribute to Mariah Carey, Carloca is throwing plates and making a scene when Mari runs outside to see what is happening. They both beat their dead horses. The takeaway here is Carloca tells Mari that she has a mother and grandmother which Carloca doesn’t - all she has is Jesús. She’s never played that angle. Then she makes the threat: don’t make me do things I don’t want to do. LEAVE! The actresses yell at each other pretty intensely, and then Carloca leaves.

Lupe is in the hallway praying out LOUD as she is wont to do when someone knocks on the door. Guess who it is! C’mon, guess! You have a 50-50 chance of getting it right.

Give up? It’s Villalba! If this were a cartoon, he’d turn into a sucker and then morph back into his original windy self.

Next we are at campaign headquarters where Augi is being announced as the new mayoral candidate. The slogan: Augusto Gits Her Done (paraphrased). Present are Jesús, Mariluz, Vic, Doménica, Fede, Patricio, and about 4 extras (LOL). What a rally! Augi gets on the mic and LIES LIES LIES! He has worked for everything; nobody’s given him anything; he will END CORRUPTION!!! This is rich. Next it’s time for a little Q&A. Mari hands him the questions. The first one is light - what are his political priorities? He knocks the answer out of the park. The 4 extras cheer wildly. The next question isn’t a question, but a sneak attack by Elisa. “I know you killed Victoriano Peñalver” is plastered on a card in Elisa’s signature ransom note style. Cue dramatic music and slow-motion. We go to commercial.

Carloca is busy in the kitchen and watching the event on her tablet. Apparently campaign headquarters has no Dead Horse Policy because Jesús and Mariluz go right into their dance. For the record, Carloca must be making a lime casserole. She’s cut a dozen limes and put a pot in the oven. There are no other ingredients on the counter! I digress. She sees Jesús, Mariluz, Mr. Ed, and Seabiscuit all cozy in the corner. Ruh oh.

Lupe tries to explain to Villalba what went down. This would really cut into his rambling time so he says no explanations are needed! Next he fires off 213 nouns, verbs, adjectives, and conjunctions.

Doménica thanks Vic for showing up and supporting Augi. Vic flat out says she’s only there for the Qué Dirán. Doménica says she’s worried about Vic and her aggressive antics earlier. Vic bluntly tells her that Augi is not the man she and everyone thinks he is (woo hoo!). The real Augi doesn’t deserve a woman like her (Vic, please!). She grabs some wine and leaves her “Meni” to worship her daddy on her own.

Lupe finally gets a word in edgewise and tells Villalba what the patio has been shouting since Episode 13: shut up and find a woman who loves you and isn’t in love with lying, cheating, murderous bastard (paraphrased). Villalba exits stage left.

Snap! Mari approaches Augi and grills him about his intentions with Lupe. I love how they both say this is not the place to discuss the matter and then proceed to discuss the matter! Mari says she wishes Augi was her papi but tells him to stay in his lane and not hurt Lupe.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1OO(!) - Part 3 of 3

Next is a PSA for recycling - only we’re not recycling paper or plastics. We’re recycling storylines. Fede has secured a very powerful potion with instructions that must be followed to a tee. We’ve had Love Potion #9.5 for Carloca with Chucho. Then we got Pozole Poison which gave everybody 24 hours of misery. Now Carloca has her paws on a new concoction. What could possibly go wrong/right? D’oh! It was a lime pie she was making earlier. It will be the vessel for the poison.

Augi is at the garage congratulating Valero on his freedom when Thomas Lennon walks in. Wow! His Spanish is flawless. Wait a minute. That ain’t Thomas Lennon. It’s ELISA…in drag!!!

Fede approaches Emma to ask questions about Fede Jr. (dba Adrián Sánchez). She inadvertently confirms that the mechanics are his COUSINS. Why oh why did he think they were brothers? Emma asks, “Why oh why are you asking?” He lies and says the foundation wants to help orphanages. Does she know the name of the boarding school? She sings like a canary and says Doménica is currently working there.

Elisa brazenly introduces herself to Augi as Elias Guerrero, the mechanics uncle! She shakes their hands (so hard that Valero writhes in pain. LOL). OMG. Then she asks for some tequila - declaring “Are we men or are we clowns?” She gets in Augi’s face and then leaves. He’s intrigued and then leaves. Sam is happy to have learned they have an uncle! Jesús has an idea of who it might really be. They reunite in the kitchen where she reveals her true identity. Samu hugs her right away! This will be her cover moving forward. Wow.

Doménica asks Augi to pull some strings so that she can take the kids (the foundation is helping) to the wrestling matches. He agrees and will pay for everything. Fede is lurking in the background. Augi wants to make it a photo-op and make sure the kids have the times of their lives. What an angel. When Doménica leaves, he tells Fede he wants this event to be featured in all media.

Patty-cake is excited about their chances for winning the election. Mari tells him she does want to go away with him. She’s ready to start anew. Where will they go?

Carloca poisons the hell out of her pie (which came out looking a thousand times better than her previous baking attempts in the series).

Patricio will inform his assistant that there will be TWO traveling. Their song swells. He says all the right things (and he isn’t tied to a crazy woman or hell-bent on a cockamamie revenge plot). They smooch.

Carloca is pacing. Where is Jesús? She’s convinced he’s with Mari. She marches over to the pie and infuses it with more poison. We are now over 3OO times the amount Fede recommended. Mari will not steal Jesús. In fact, he won’t be anyone’s. Drop. Drop. Drip. Drop.

Good morning!

SURPRISE! I recapped Thursday’s episode, but Blogger ate Part 1.

HELP!

Hope you enjoy; please fill in the blanks.

Guerrero
I was a bit surprised Domenica wasn't disgusted by how Augusto turned her request into another way to improve his image.I don't know how these girls don't get that neither parent cares enough about them. Ema is about to find out, though, but as she is unhealthily trying to please her mother, nothing she learns is helpful. Out of all of them, she is the most unsufferable. I don't know how the actress could stand having to play such a character. How old is Ema's actress btw?

Yay, I love surprises!!! Thank you O.S.!! I emailed RGV chick and asked her to rescue part 1. I just love your humor as always, it's the highlight of an otherwise languishing episode. Elisa's disguise was pretty good but it was obvious it was her and laughable that none of her sons recognized her!! Although definitely talented, I don't think she's the master of disguises, Jesus's Lisardo was more unrecognizable, I didn't know it was him except for the voice.

I like the fully Loca, Carloca, but I prefer her going after Jesus then her going after Mari, just because Mari really isn't participating in this triangle at all. She's trying to do the right thing and walk away and Jesus just won't let her. Also the cliche of blaming the woman when the man is cheating is just so tired and annoying. Should women sleep with married men absolutely not but it's the man who made a vow of fidelity and he should be responsible for keeping it....in other words, I'm glad Loca is poisoning Jesus and not Mari! lol

I don't know why but I'm looking forward to seeing all the kids at the wrestling match with Capt. Justica!!! Will Domi recognize him? I think it will be written that way but she shouldn't recognize him, as we've said before, I don't even think it's the same actor under the mask, it doesn't look like Christian de la Campa, so he shouldn't be recognizable to Domi as Sam! We will see though. Maybe it'll be obvious because Valero is in the corner of the ring?

I am so glad Valero is freed!

Waterlily, I couldn't find Karen's (Emma's) age in any of the usual places. It's not listed on wiki or IMdb but I found a site that says she's 22, turning 23 this year. Not sure how accurate that is....

Guerrero. Excellent recap, O.S.! Woo hoo indeed! The big 100! "Fantasy Island." Love it! Do we learn how it was that Valero got off? Were some scenes cut? Yuck. Fede is willing to go along with Carlota in an actual murder? Elisa's disguise is kind of silly, but I guess effective. It looks as if Carlota could kill a lot more people than Jesus and Mariluz with that pie.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O1 - Part 1 of 5

Drop. Drop. Drip. Drop. Carloca is saturating the lime pie with poison while Elías is telling Jesús to watch his step and keep Coo Coo Ca-choo calm - maybe buy her a gift. He promises.

The Agitated Chef charges into Augi’s office and demands to know why Jesús hasn’t returned. Augi asks why she’s so torqued up. He informs her that Mariluz is with Patricio and in a flash they’ll be moving up north far away. He implores her to cool her jets and concentrate on his grandkid. Her look of relief (and mischief) is priceless.

Fede is on the phone asking for the details of how his son ended up at the orphanage. He’s informed that Jr. was left on the doorstep, and there are no other details. He hangs up like a jerk. He looks at Amelia’s letters and does the math. Well, he tries to. Could Adrián be his son? This math struggle is probably why Augi never put him in charge of finance/accounts receivable.

Speaking of stoopid earrings, Adrián rolls up on Rodrigo and demands to know why he’s standing outside Emma’s gate. They call each other bad influences. Rod tells Adrián that they are novios (Rod + Emma not Rod + Adrián). Emma arrives and throws shade at Laura. Rod and Emma leave. Adrian wants to study. Laura can’t be bothered with this teenage drama. She leaves. I wish I could find Guadalupe’s little shrine for loud prayers. I’d pray loudly that this storyline ended.

Fede ramps up Operation Get Adrian’s DNA From The Garage. Then Captain Calculus carries the one and realizes if Adrian is Amelia’s son and the cousin of Los Guerrero, then (wait for it) the mechanics are Octavio Sanchez’s sons!!! It’s a good thing he’s pretty.

Doménica enters the garage and pretends she’s looking for Sam. Damián tells her he’s not there. They do their typical dance and showing no regard for personal space, their lips end up a few millimeters from each other.

Samu is training with Valero. YAY!!! Valero is telling Sam he needs to win so he can give Doménica the finer things. Now that the coast is clear, he needs to win his fight to get closer to Domis. Boo! I love Valero and blame the writers for this nonsense.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O1 - Part 2 of 5

Damián cruelly yet comically tortures Doménica with the details of the woman living in his bedroom. She feigns disinterest. His new roommate is very interesting, intelligent, pretty…. Doménica is dying but before he goes too far, he reveals it’s his mommy. Dun Dun DUN.

Augi is watching news coverage of his candidacy and proud of his little performance. He looks at Elisa’s latest art piece (from the QA&A session) and curses her and her sons.

Jesús comes in and surprises Carlota with her favorite chocolates and a gift for their baby. 5, 6, 7, 8, and awwwwwww. Iker Jr.’s gift is a stuffed animal which talks to the baby. Add Master Puppeteer to Jesús’ phenomenal list of special skills. Well, she has a gift for him too! “TRY THE PIE!” shouts the Patio. She puts his hand on her belly and says Iker Jr. is moving about. He feels nothing figuratively and literally. TRY THE PIE!!! She is really moved by his gift. He promises they’ll be a happy family. She agrees…especially since what’s-her-name is moving far away. Oh, he didn’t know? Yes. She twists the knife and reveals Mari moving to North Country with Patty-Cake. HOW ABOUT SOME PIE?!! She hugs him, and he looks dejected.

Oh, Doménica. The intriguing and alluring art enthusiast Damián has been chasing turns out to be his mum. What are the chances? Doménica looks and feels as lousy as our recent episodes’ writing. Nevertheless, she’s happy for him! But wait, there still one little secret he can’t tell here. Audience, please set your GPS to Square One.

Valero enters in full Lucha Libre mode and gets startled when he finds Doménica and Damián (back at Square One). Have they reconciled? Is he interrupting? Damián says No. Doménica was there to see SAM, and now she’s leaving. Valero is inexplicably brushing his own hair (LOL) and offers to give Sam a message. She says no thanks;she’ll call him. She exits stage left. Come to find out, Valero is worried about combing his hair with a steel brush. Will it fall out? He has an image to maintain: The Hottest Guerrero!!! How I’ve missed Valero. He strikes a pose and then exits stage right.

Sam is furiously doing push-ups. Valero re-emerges and decides to turn Sam’s phone off so he doesn’t learn Damián & Doménica are back together, get upset, and lose the match.

Fede and Valero are discussing Lisardo Sánchez. Fede says he could be anywhere. Closer than Augi might imagine. Augi wants to know what Fede is implying. Fede asks if he gives Augi Los Sánchez, will he return Fede Sr’s business. Augi laughs in his face. The traitor wants to negotiate. He puts Octavio’s knife to Fede’s throat and wants to know if he’s behind the anonymous notes. Fede denies. Augi concedes. He will return the business in exchange for Los Sánchez, and it will be the last thing he’ll ever do for him. Fede rushes out. Augi stabs Elisa’s note with Octavio’s knife, and then his chest pains return.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O1 - Part 3 of 5

Instead of calling 911, he calls Lupe. They beat their dead horses while being overheard by Vic AND Conchita. Vic enters and taunts him. She wants a divorce and her inheritance back blah blah blah. He lunges at her but then leaves. She grabs the phone, dials *69, and Guada-lame answers. Vic smashes the phone into little itty bitty bits.

Adrrián enters the garage, finds Valero’s steel brush (see where this is going?), and starts brushing his hair. Fede’s lackey enters the garage pretending to need an estimate. Adrian says someone will be right with him and leaves the brush. The lackey steals the brush!

Vic is drinking like Berry Ford and Fede tries to stop her. She shrieks and shrills and runs everybody off.

Adrián calls and asks for Emma; Mica says she hasn’t returned. Fede is stalking from a distance. His lackey exits the garage, confirms he has the goods, and continues his mission.

Augi shows up at Guadalupe’s. They are recycling their atrocious dialogue when Conchita interrupts(!). She wants to talk to Augi ALONE. Lupe bows out.

Doménica is trying to call Sam, but there’s no answer. She thinks about Damian’s earlier reveal and feels sheepish. Damián tells Elías that clearly he loves Doménica, and then he whines about trust. Elías is shocked to learn her son has the emotional intelligence of a 2nd grader. He goes on to recite his Greatest Hits which we’ve all heard ad nauseam. She tells him some corny nonsense about love. It’s embarrassing for the actors and the patio.

Augi tries to explain his antics to Conchita who demands respect and makes him call her by her legal name, Concepción. She shuts down his explanations and calls him shameless. She reads him the Riot Act and says all the common sense things we’ve known from the get go. She demands to know what he plans on doing with Vic. It’d be nice if he’d go home and share some Lime Pie with her. FOCUS! Conchita’s tone appears to hurt him deeply, but she doesn’t relent. Both actors are compelling

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O1 - Part 5 of 5

The kids from Doménica’s project have the green light to attend a night of wrestling. Gus asks if Sam is coming; Doménica can’t reach him for some reason. She hopes so; Sam’s worked so hard.

Augi has made some adjustments to some project, and the party leader says they have his full confidence.

Sam says, “Bye, Mom!” and Elisa loves being called “Mom.” Now Mom wants to know why he’s going out at this hour (LOL) and where. It’s super cute. He says he has things to do and asks for her blessing. She obliges and says she’s always dreamed of this. She loves her Baby Samuel.

Vic wakes up hungover and can’t believe Rod saw her in a drunken state. She worries if he’s a little gossip. #quedirán Emma (now sober for 12 days and single for 2) recommends the notorious Dra. Vega and lectures Vic on drinking. I wish I were making this up. I also wish it would start raining chanclasos. Next Emma Ruíz Montalvo, LCSW, wants to know the state of their marriage. I can’t.

Don Abel had surprised Conchita, Lupe, Mari, and Patricio with some authentic Vera Cruz. I was convinced Jesús prepared it since he can do everything else, but d. Abel admits he bought the food. The newlyweds could honeymoon and win dance contests in Vera Cruz.

Doménica & Mica chaperone the project kids at Palazzo’s House of Wrestling. They see Capt. Justicia is on the bill. Doménica has never heard of him. Mica says he’s the champion, and Valero is his number one fan (LOL). Gus has even heard of him.

Valero explains to Samu that he’ll be wrestling mask-to-mask. Whoever loses his mask loses the bout. Losing the mask is the worst thing that can happen to a wrestler. They see Mica and Dome waiting in line. Valero says don’t be nervous (with Doménica watching). He must win or the whole world (incl. Dom) will know he’s Samuelín and NOT Capt. Justicia.

Thank you Thank you O.S! You crack me up as always!!! So many favorite lines in this recap, I love your humor mixed with exasperation and OMG even more than the less exasperated humor from episodes past!!! This show seems determined to go completely off the rails now, which isn't completely uncommon in novelas - it actually bugs me a little less than it has with other shows because I am not really too attached to any one couple or storyline (other than Sam & Valero, still the best couple on the show) so I guess they can just do whatever!

The writers have definitely failed to make us care about most of this drama and these couplings - honestly every one of these characters could have a different partner by the HEA and I would only shrug. I do still adore Sam and Valero though!!! Both of these actors have turned in consistently phenomenal performances from day 1! And I agree the Mom and Sam blessing scene was super cute!

Carloca's performance has been fantastic as well and Conchita has been hilarious! (I think I am just going to comment on the actors today since the episode doesn't inspire much to comment on and your recap SUBERBLY captured all there is to say!) I really like the actress who plays Domenica but I don't think she's been given enough to work with in this script so she's pretty vanilla. Mariluz is the most one dimensional protag I have ever seen, why did they never flesh her out?? She has been mostly an afterthought character throughout despite being one half of the 'main' couple.

Jesus is almost interesting....and it's the almost the makes it frustrating. They give you just enough of a hint of what's bubbling below the surface to peak your interest but then it goes flat again. This is the writers of course and not the actors. But all that build up about Jesus's 'secret past' for a two minute conversation about it and drop it again?? I like the actor who plays Jesus, I've consistently liked him in lots of roles he's had in the past but I don't feel like this was the right part for him. Heck, maybe this just wasn't the right part for anyone, this character is a pretty weak hero - thus your (and mine) urging for him to go ahead and have some pie!!! LOLOLOLOL

I had high hopes for the Selena character but once again they took all that potential and did nothing with it! She's an empathetic character but she's now languishing like everyone else and at this point I can't even root for her redemption and HEA with Sam because they never developed the slow burn they should have, at this point when Sam is still plotting how to win Domi in ep 101, I am wondering if it will even happen. Though the credits make it seem likely.

This show really needed better writers. There's one show I saw years ago where the writing sticks out to me. It was a Telemundo show called 'La Impostura' and overall the show was just average, nothing great, nothing horrible; but there was one character on that show that started off as the character you just didn't care about. I actually remember thinking early on that he would probably be the first person killed off because he wasn't needed. Then as the show goes on you start to actively hate him, by like the half way point he's just awful and you can't wait to see him die a horrible painful death!!! Then the writers decided to make him empathetic (like Guerrero may be trying with the new Augi angle now) which usually doesn't work, but it totally did with this character!!! It had to have been excellent writing because by the end of the show he was not only redeemed but he was actually my favorite character and the one I most wanted to see get his HEA. His character got the perfect ending too, it was a sort of tongue in cheek - maybe HEA, maybe just a brand new headache nod at the scenario that set up all the drama for the main couple to begin with. Guerrero could have used the writers from Impostura!!! :)

It surprises me that Conchita is not completely blind to Augusto's faults. But she overestimates the good she thinks exists in him.
Loved 'not Rod and Adrian' bit. It made me laugh out loud. with how crazy this show has been, this doesn't sound like such a bad idea. It'd wake me up from my stupor.
I remember watching la impostora. At least I think it was the one I watched. I think Sebastian Zurita was in it. But I got sick of everyone. My Spanish wasn't good enough so this obviously didn't help. But I remember disliking the main couple. The theme song was nice, though. I actually think this was part of the reason I kept watching and got to episode 30!

Guerrero. Incredibly excellent, detailed recap, O.S., and you left out exactly the right things. It looks as if that pie could kill dozens. How will Carlota limit it to 1 or 2 people?(and does she care?). Of course, it isn't likely that any of the main characters will be killed, but you never know. What has happened to the warrant for Samuel? Is the question of his "guardian"'s death just going to be left up in the air? I can't say I blame Laura for not wanting to participate in the silly teenage drama of Emma, Adrian and Rod. I totally agree about the lousy writing of recent episodes. How long before Augi's chest pains do him in? Or are we being teased to no end? I love the way Conchita handles Augi! Once a nanny always a nanny.
