Unfortunately, I have no time today to post even a few notes. Because go ahead and discuss! It was an eventful episode! It doesn't look good a d. Abel :(

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O6 - Part 1 of 4

Action is rewound to the end of Episode 1O5. Jesús is awake and wants to know why Mari is there. Duh. She’s there on account of she loves him. She calls him Lisardo Sánchez.

Dr. Paidoff says Jesús has gone viral (literally). Elías begs to differ. He has independent test results that indicate Jesús was poisoned. Words cannot describe Valero’s cara impactada at this announcement. Doménica wants to know why Augi’s cara isn’t impactada. Did he already know?

Mari confirms that she (A) knows Elisa is Jesu’s mom, (B) read the hallowed Man Diary, and (C) doesn’t know what the hell to call him now. Jesús does a mini-PSA about the dangers of lying and then confirms that he blames Augi for destroying his family.

Univision must have gone chop chop with the scenes because we go back to the lobby and Augi, Doménica, & the doctor are gone; Conchita has magically appeared. Elías says Jesús would never send Carloca to jail. Conchita says she takes full advantage of that fact. Samu wants to know why she’d poison him if she loved him (cute!). Damián deadpans because she’s crazy. Elías says they won’t do anything until they talk to Jesús. Mari answers with good news about Jesús’ recovery. Drunk Adrián stands up and wants to see him, but ends up sitting back down (LOL). Conchifa once again says Augi has been through some terrible times but is a good man. Mari learns that Carloca poisoned Jesús.

Carloca’s new friend Lucas has the table manners of Cookie Monster, wears an invisible watch, and will come for her when it’s time to make their break.

A mysterious stranger with a deep voice calls Villalba and offers proof of Augi’s crooked wheelings and dealings with the campaign. Villalba is interested and gets further instructions.

Jesús calls Augi out for his big, fat lies regarding Carloca’s mental health. Augi says whoopsie and she didn’t really mean to kill Jesús. Then he blames her antics on Jesús’ “lousy” treatment(!!!). Jesús tells him not to worry about him pressing charges. He wouldn’t do that to his son. Augi says Jesús will be released soon and must visit Carloca. Jesús will, but only for his son. He will support her while she’s pregnant. When the child is born, “we’ll see.”

Vic & Merlot and Fede are conversing. Vic hopes Jesús dies(!) - then Carloca graduates from Koo Koo to Killer, and Augi will have no choice but to negotiate with Vic. Fede reminds her that she’s killed too (Santiago) so that won’t be the right approach.

Villalba calls d. Abel and tells him about the mysterious caller earlier. He has been offered proof of Augi’s dirty dealings. Of course Augi walks in just in time to hear d. Abel say they will have ample proof of his corruption.

Fede thinks Vic may have more bargaining power if Augi’s in jail.

Don Abel will meet Villalba in the morning. Augi remembers that d. Abel is the Guerrero’s lawyer and wonders why he’d be after him. Augi calls Fede and orders Saúl to stay on top of d. Abel.

Vic is practically embalmed (with wine) and in her own bed as Doménica and Emma try to have an intervention. Vic summons Mica and Augi also enters. He’s not having it and orders everyone out. The daughters won’t budge until Drunkzilla is better. Augi says the daughters (esp. Emma) deserve a better mother and leaves.

The next morning d. Abel & Conchita make a slew of plans including (but not limited to) chocolate, churros, and medical tests.

Augi tells Inept, Inc. (Saúl & Fede) that he needs “him” alive. He needs to find out who is behind this, and they are not to touch him until Augi arrives. Fede has done some investigating and knows d. Abel was the landowner’s financier. Augi asks Fede for ONE reason Augi shouldn’t think Fede is a traitor. Fede says if Augi goes down, he goes down with him, and he is too pretty for jail (paraphrased). Augi coldly says Fede won’t end up in jail; he’ll end up DEAD. Dun Dun DUN.

Carloca and Lucas make themselves invisible and slip out via a stairwell.

Doménica & Emma talk to Dra. Pobiada about a Less Drinking More Thinking plan for Mommy Dearest. Augi joins but says he can’t stay (as he has some murdering to tend to). Vic enters and snarks. Augi leaves. Dra. Pobiada recommends Doménica shut down Vic’s finances so that she can’t buy any more alcohol. At this stage, she and Dra. Vega are in a dead heat for Worst Medical Advice Ever.

Invisible Carloca has made it to Jesús’s hospital ward. She sees Jesús (asleep) and tells Iker, Jr. they will convince him (to come back). Then she sees Mariluz sitting by Jesús - holding his hand. Ruh oh.

Lucas is running amok while Carloca is declaring that Mari will not take her husband. She asks Lucas if he wants to play. He asks for the candy she promised. She says she needs his help before Candy Time and points to a truck (offscreen). She needs help getting under the hood. He will do anything for dulces.
 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O6 - Part 3 of 4

Don Abel is talking to Jesús - urging him to abandon his Revenge Plan. He thinks they may be able to prove election fraud. Jesús wants Augi to pay for all the murders he’s committed, but this could be a nice start. Jesús begs d. Abel not to get involved. He thanks him for all he’s done for him and wishes him the best with Conchita. Unfortunately, the writing on the wall couldn’t be clearer.

Don Abel leaves the hospital to meet Villalba. Saúl is in hot pursuit.

Doménica tells MD she can’t handle money per doctor’s orders. MD has a giant pity party and chews up the scene. Sweet-talkin’ Augi tells her she’s an alcoholic and must be treated like an addict. Augi can’t stay as he has some murdering to tend to. Vic exits stage right. The daughters hug and probably wish they were orphans.

Jesús is being released soon. Damián tells Elías about the new evidence coming from Villalba and d. Abel. Samu points out that if Augi goes to the pokey, Doménica will be devastated as she still thinks he’s a good guy.

Doménica is working on the computer and finds big, fat idiosyncrasies in the Foundation’s funding. She asks Fede to review, and he’s shocked that she has this information.

Villalba is on a hillside with no one around while d. Abel is driving and drops his cellphone on the passenger side’s floorboard. Saúl and his goon squad are in hot pursuit. Saúl wonders why d. Abel doesn’t slow down. We see d. Abel’s feet tap dancing on the gas and the brake pedals.

No-Longer-Drunk Adrián and his stoopid earring are in the skate park with Gus. Belén & Sergio join. Adrian says blah, Emma, blah, and Belén basically tells him to shut the hell up, get over himself, stick a fork in the Emma romance, and go for Laura. Sergio co-signs. A new (terrible) song plays, and Adrián whips out his phone and sees Rod & Emma.

Elías tells Samu & Damián that Doménica is about to realize who the real Augusto Ruíz Montalvo is. She’s planted the first seed.

Doménica is incredulous over the Foundation’s accounting records and missing funds. Fede says he’ll talk to Accounting and get it all straightened out. He looks very uneasy.

 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O6 - Part 4 of 4

Over at law school, Adrian’s classmates declare that he and Laura make the perfect couple. She appears and the classmates exit stage left. Blah blah best kiss ever blah let’s give it a try blah blah sí blah blah blah.

Rodrigo shows up @ Casa Ruíz Montalvo with a giant bottle of tequila. Mica, the voice of reason, asks did he not see what alcohol has done to Emmy & Vic? He’s a total jerk and refuses to acknowledge The Help. Vic greets him with open arms and starts drinking right away.

Smooth Operator Augi tells Campaign Carlos that neither his daughter nor his wife will be attending their next function as they currently can’t be separated (LOL). Augi must win the election and make sure nobody gets in his way.

Rod & Vic toast to the new novios, and Vic chugs her entire glass. I can’t tell if Rod is impressed or appalled. Either way, he maintains his smug, constipated look.

As Jesús prepares to leave the hospital, Los Guerrero talk about what a boneheaded move it was to let d. Abel go meet Villalba by himself. What if it’s a trap? Jesús calls and the phone rings (from the floorboard).

Doménica wonders what all and from whom Damián & Elías are hiding. Elías declares the end is near.

Jesús reaches Villalba and warns him to be careful. He gets the address and the brothers head out.

Augi delivers the candy Carloca requested (LOL - for Lucas?). She asks point blank if Mariluz died. “What have you done?” “I jacked up her truck so she would DIE.”

Don Abel is careening down the lane. It’s hard to keep a straight face because the green screen and the feet on the gas/brakes hardly match the action. He eventually runs off the road. Saúl & crew happen upon an upside down truck (Chabelita) in flames. They call time of death and skedaddle. Augi gets a pic of the wreckage and demands to know what Carloca has done!

Thank you O.S.! So happy to see this this morning! :) Your wit and humor are wonderful as always. I especially loved. 'The daughters hug and probably wish they were orphans.' LOL They still loved daddy so they probably don't but they should!

Such a misdirect to have Concha have her little medical emergency and then have d. Abel tumble off the road in the truck!!! I was so sad....why kill off the old people!!! Leave them alone! Kill Fede!

I'm with you in not caring about the Laura/Adrian and Em/Rod, I just roll my eyes when it comes on. Rod definitely proved he doesn't truly care about Emma at all my bringing MD alcohol AFTER helping Em clear the house of alcohol!!!! But then again I didn't think for a second he truly did care about Em so I wasn't surprised.

So bored with MD!!! She's been drinking since day 1 but all of the sudden she's so sloppy she can't form a coherent sentence??? She's def the candidate for has been a functioning alcoholic for YEARS, this new development is too much for a beanie!

Carloca was so amusing in this episode with her shrug and 'I messed with her truck, is she dead?' hehehe I love the look of excitement on her face when she's conspiring with her crazy friend!!! Excellent work by the actress!!

 

Guerrero. Excellent recap, O.S. Thank you for stepping up! Great nicknames for the villains! "Dr. Paidoff--love it! Also: "Drunkzilla," "Inept Inc." etc. Domenica is almost on to her father. I wonder how she'll react when she knows what an evil person he is. Was that Fede on the phone with Villalba? When will we see Santiago's body, if ever? He seems to have been pretty much forgotten. Carlota is now incredibly dangerous. Not only did she almost kill Jesus, but she has caused d. Abel's death, thinking Mariluz would be driving the van she tampered with. She doesn't even seem particularly affected by the mayhem she has caused--in fact, she may be proud of it. "has some murdering to tend to"--love the snark. Rodrigo is very evil too.

Por qué? Why not let older people have their happily ever after? I don't get it. It was sad and annoying. Conchita and Valero are the only two fan ones here and now she won't befun anymore. And I still want to know what makes her think Augusto is a good person because he doesn't seem like one to me.
Sam, stop worrying about Domenica. She can handle it.

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O7 - Part 1 of 4

Augi begs for an explanation for Carloca’s actions. She justifies her murderous antics. Augi gives some good old-fashioned tough love: if anyone saw her (or finds out), she’ll never leave the nut house.

Chabelita is upside down and on fire while d. Abel is laid out nearby with a gash on his forehead. Los Guerrero and Villalba pull up and find him. His vital signs are very weak. The pickup blows up, and they have no choice but to move Mr. Conchita.

Dysfunction junction: Carloca begs Augi to take her out of the asylum. The tough love is over; he says he’ll need time.

Villalba delivers the bad news to Mari & Lupe & Conchita - d. Abel has had an accident in their truck. Conchita demands to know he’s ok. For the first time in 1O6 episodes, Villalba is at a loss for words.

Augi calls Fede for updates on d. Abel and to make sure the truck disappears (with all the evidence of Carloca’s crimes). He then tells Dra. Pullada to take off those obnoxious Sally Jesse Rafael glasses and keep Carloca under permanent close observation. Well, he said the last part for sure.

Los Guerrero are in a hospital room with d. Abel. He thanks God for the opportunity to say goodbye(!). The brothers beg him to stay on the planet. He says, “Listen. I don’t have much time.” Then he tells Jesús it’s time to end the war before the next vehicle without brakes is his. The brothers think Augi is behind the crash on account of d. Abel investigating him. Jesús (clearly not listening) promises vengeance. Don Abel says, “Listen! Stop the hate. Forget about Augusto Ruíz Montalvo. Please”

Doménica is visiting Dra. Pullada. She tells her to take off those ridiculous Sally Jesse Rafael glasses and stop letting Augi cover up for Carloca. Dra. Pullada says Augi has asked for permanent surveillance. While this is happening, Carloca is hilariously delivering the candy she promised to Lucas in the cafeteria. Doménica spills the frijoles about Carloca’s strawberry adventures. Once she removes the glasses, could Dra. Pullada please take all this very seriously?!!

Conchita bum rushes the front counter and demands to see her husband!

 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O7 - Part 2 of 4

Don Abel tells Los Guerrero they have finally come together as brothers, and he is pleased as punch. They have their mother and must take care of her. They should be happy. So happy…like he was with Conchita. He begs them to listen to an old man who loves them like a father. They say they love him too. Jesús says d. Abel will always be in their hearts. He was lucky to be adopted into d. Abel’s life. He thanks him for teaching him to fight and gives many thanks for mentoring his warrior heart.

Conchita enters and caresses his face. She asks what happened. He asks for forgiveness for causing her pain for for not keeping his promise to be forever by her side. She says hush. They will always be together and when the time comes they will go together. Besides, they need to keep dancing, return to Vera Cruz, and there’s the chocolates and churros…She asks him to fight and then orders him to stay (in this life) with her. He says his love will stay with her forever and thanks her for the giant gift she’s been. Her heart. Her company. Her love. They made each other the happiest. She urges him to stay. He tells her not to suffer and remember him with a smile. Never forget he loves her. She loves him. He loves her. Then he closes his eyes. He’s gone. Conchita insists he’s just asleep. Sam & Domiàn escort her out. Jesús stays behind to say goodbye to the man who raised him. We get flashbacks of d. Abel through the series.

Fede reports to Augi that the old man has died. There’s no way they can prove foul play. Augi wants them away from there as soon as possible.

Mica is crying in the kitchen. She tells Emma d. Abel has died.

Adrián is crying on the curb. We get flashbacks of his interactions with d. Abel. Emma comes out and comforts him with a hug. Rodrigo emerges and is about to cause a scene when Mica reins him in (whew!) and sends him back inside.

Emma says some really nice things, and they tell each other they love each other. Laura emerges and Adrián leaves to get some tissue. Laura confronts Emma who maturely tells her she has nothing to worry about. She tells her to make Adrián happy as she never could then she exits stage left.

Conchita prays over her departed’s coffin. Flashbacks of the duo through the series. Why? Why? Why? She asks. More sweet flashbacks.
 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O7 - Part 3 of 4

Samu says they should follow d. Abel’s advice and forget about Augusto Ruíz Montalvo. Not so fast, says Damián. There’s still the matter of clearing Elisa’s name. Jesús agrees and lays out the body count: Victoriano, Iker, Gabino….Conchita hears this. Jesús continues, “And Abel.” Conchita now learns that her boy is responsible for her husband’s death. She even gets the motive (fraud investigation). She wanders off.

She’s back at the coffin and back in denial. This can’t be. Augusto couldn’t. Why is she suffering the greatest pain?!! In walks Augi. He offers condolences. She says stop lying. She knows everything. He feigns ignorance. She says don’t you dare and makes him remove his hand from the coffin. She’s done with his nicknames (“Viejita.”). Essentially, he’s dead to her. How could he? She never wanted to believe everything she heard about him. She wrote it off as gossip from greedy and bitter haters. He says that’s what it is - mere gossip. She says she hates him. He asks what has she heard-she knows him. She says no. Not anymore. She demands to know if he killed Victoriano. He doesn’t answer. She knows he had motive. He shouldn’t forget that she, more than anybody, knows what Victoriano did to him. Augi cannot look her in the eyes. She says he had no right taking the law into his own hands. He didn’t learn that from her. Augi tries to change the subject and says she’s upset by her loss. She proudly states d. Abel’s name and asks what did he ever do to Augi to make him want to kill him. She demands answers (and eye contact) but Augi tries to shift the focus on her grieving. He swears on his daughters(!) that he had nothing to do with this. She knows he killed Victoriano and others. She asks how many more are there? He is condemned by God and by her. His conscience will get the best of him. Conchita then faints/falls. and Augi catches her. Mari & Lupe walk in. Conchita shoos Augi away and then collapses in Luoe’s arms.

Programming Note: This episode is going along so well that I refuse to dignify the asinine sideshow that is Rod & Emma with a recap.

Fede and Vic are conspiring. She wants to know what happened with the plan to send Augi to jail. He says someone murdered the old lawyer, and now there are complications. She asks if Augi did it, and he says no. They have to find out who did.

Carloca and Lucas are sneaking around the asylum. They get into an office and Carloca tells him if he sees any nurses to “make them invisible.” Apparently this will be achieved by the fire extinguisher he’s brandishing. Carloca gets into an office and makes a cal. Lucas is chasing nurses with his fire extinguisher.

Carloca calls home and Fede answers and puts her on speakerphone. He and Vic hear her ask about Mariluz’s wake(!). Fede says she’s not dead. Vic grabs the phone and taunts Carloca. She’s locked up and Mariluz is still kicking. FAIL! She hangs up. Master Strategist Federico puts the pieces together. Carloca caused the accident. That explains why Augi is knee deep in the cover-up.

The mechanics tell Villalba he’s in danger (in light of d. Abdl’s plight). Villalba talks tough and refuses to hide. Samu applies his Sixth Sense and divines that Villalba is “bueno.” He says they don’t need any more “muertitos (Cute!)” so Villalba agrees to lie low for now.

 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 1O7 - Part 4 of 4

Elías enters and advises that Conchita has taken ill and Augi is on the premises so they have to hide.

Mari prays for her grandmother. She asks d. Abel to protect her. Jesús joins her and talks about how happy d. Abel was with Conchita. All of a sudden Mariluz faints. Jesús blames it on her skipping breakfast. They head to the cafeteria.

It’s a new day, and Fede & Doménica are in the home office. She wants the reconciliation report (for the missing funds). He says it’s a low priority with everything going on. She then asks him to do some math. If this were a sitcom, the canned laughter would play for several seconds. We are 57 minutes into this very heavy episode, and we finally get some comic relief. He reminds her that Augi has limited his access to company documents.

Just then Augi & MD enter - arguing LOUDLY about Carloca. The whole family comes to see what is happening. Vic is upset that Augi wants to free Carloca. Emma Ruiz Montalvo, LCSW, opines that Carloca does need her family. Doménica astutely points out that she HAD her family, and family hardly prevented her bat poop crazy antics (paraphrased). Augi childishly and sarcastically thanks Doménica for her support. Vic defends her Meni and says she’s always supported them. Carloca is downright dangerous. Augi gives up and exits stage left. Emma recommends tea. Vic wants pills. They all head to the kitchen.

Doménica enters Augi’s office and puts her foot down. MD is sick, and Augi had abandoned her. Vic’s obsessed with her inheritance. Augi explains Vic was in no shape to manage money when this all went down - the story he’s maintained this whole series. Then he asks has she or anyone ever gone without. Doménica says no, but that isn’t the point. Augi argues that Vic has no inkling about how business works. Augi takes leave.

A nurse is trying to wake Carloca, but a large bundle under the covers refuses to be awakened. It’s not Carloca! It’s Lucas (and his hard candy)!!! Ruh oh. Where in the world is Carlota Ruíz Montalvo?

Lupe and Mari are visiting a sleeping Conchita. They try to rouse her, but it’s not working. Carloca quietly enters the room. As Conchita slowly opens her eyes, Carloca takes a scalpel(?) from the medical tray and approaches Las García.

Blogger ate Part 2. Please help!

Egad! I’ve never recapped such an emotionally taut episode. I hope I did it justice. Your additions and critiques are always welcome.

Kudos to the main actors. I found all their performances riveting. We finally got less Passions and big drama for a change.

It’s unfortunate that they almost ruined it with the preposterous Emma & Rod crap.

I can’t wait to see where we go next. Glad Augi’s world is unraveling. It’s about time for some anvils to start landing.

For Capítulo 1O6, I mistakenly identified the Sally Jesse Rafael glasses doctor as Dra. Pobiada. Whoopsie. I believe it’s Dra. Pullada. My apologies for the confusion. Nevertheless, her glasses and matching pumps are silly.

Thank you O.S! Another fantastic recap!!! You def more than did it Justice!! It can be very difficult to recap emotionally taut episodes! The worse episode to recap for me is a brutal attack - I hate even attempting to describe something like that, but sad goodbyes are a challenge too! I am with Waterlily, I don't know why they can't just leave the Conchita and d. Abel to live happily ever after! Killing off Abel serves no plot purpose and if Conchita follows, I mean in one sense they will be reunited, but leave the elderly alone! Just get down to justice!

This line right here: ' Augi gives some good old-fashioned tough love: if anyone saw her (or finds out), she’ll never leave the nut house.' is so funny and so sad! So that's Augi's bar? Commit a murder and don't get caught and you can come home for dinner but if you get caught you're in the loony bin for life. This is disgusting. From the way this story started you expected Augi's one saving grace to be his love for his daughters, but as we've seen he doesn't love his daughters either. MD is actually right about something, Carloca is a danger to them all and Augi doesn't care. He knows she's out of control, that she's attempted two murders in like 2 days and he doesn't care he actually wants to make them feel guilty for not 100% supporting him in bringing her back into the fold....I hope Carloca sets HIM on fire!

What did Don Victoriano do to Augi? Do we care? I find I am a very little bit curious....but it's very little. I am ready for anvils to fall too!!! 13 more episodes and it's probably still a little too soon but we should start getting them soon! I think Carloca will probably be the first to go, she's too unraveled to make it 13 more episodes...

Guerrero. Another great recap, O.S. I'm looking forward to reading Part 2 when it is restored. Carlota gets ever scarier. "Dysfunction Junction." Love it! At last Conchita is done excusing Augi, though in this case for something he didn't do (of course, now he is covering up Carlota's crime). I believe that's called irony. I too wonder what Victoriano did to Augi. Sideshow or not, I do hope the doggie is ok. Oh oh, another pregnancy symptom for Mariluz! I'm assuming Conchita will scream as Carlota approaches more closely with the scalpel.
