#42 "La fuga" (the escape)

Cesar paints over the Cesar/Murderer on his house shutters before Noelia awakens to say good morning to her mommy doll.

Ale pops into the del Rio Zoo, she is moving in, she gave a line to the press about remodeling FJ's place.

Ray has gotten a variance so Tomas can go to Adriana's memorial, Tomas swings by to pick up Ines, their first date.

Pluto stops by the office to chat with Mr. Snob (FJ), he and Adriana set up the kidnapping for the money, FJ doesn't believe it (of course he does, he believes everything anyone tells him)

Cesar, Cami, Noelia (with doll), Tomas, and Ines meet on the San Clemente beach (where I think Cesar and Adriana were wed) to toss the ashes (would that include the dress). All wearing white, including the doll. Cesar acknowledges Adriana tried to be a good mother and wife, but she was dying inside, he wishes that he knew her better.

Noelia, Tomas, and Ines follow with kind words, Cami is just there for Cesar and Noelia.

GumChew finally gets the pics of Cesar at the Park, boom, he fires Linda. (is he the Chief, did they ever say)

Cami offers to drive Cesar and Noelia home, he declines, meets with Elvira who has packed their clothes, they ditch the truck and buy a new car, complete with balloons, Noelia is confused.

at the foundation FJ tells of the confession implicating Adriana of the kidnapping and clearing Ale, Cami is still convinced Adriana killed Estela and Jacinta.

Tomas and Ines return to the Zoo, he kisses her, but when she hugs him back the images of the russian hooker that abused Tomas, haunt him, he later tells Pascual that he is not interested in a relationship.

GumChew and his minions raid the Cesar house tearing things up, he finds the Adriana fake passport for Sabina Altamira. Cami arrives, where's Cesar, tearful Elvira spills.

FJ apologizes to Ale, he wants to start over, she says it will be hard, he suggests therapy, bellhop Chuy takes their bags to their room, he wonders if it will be awkward, Ale likes the idea of being close to Chuy, are they going to do it right there?

Renata has conned Ray into getting a power of attorney from Tomas, they are at the fertility clinic, she wants the eggs destroyed, not so fast says the lady-in-charge, we're talking about lives here, Tomas needs to be here in person, hmm, foiled Renata cases the joint, the frozen embryos are protected with a generator backup.

The high and mighty GumChew looks down on Marquez who is boxing her stuff, (does he keep referring to Cesar as Ken, is this like with the now barbie doll Adriana?) Linda is not having any of it, GumChew is no longer her boss, and she has her eye on him.

Deb, thank you for an excellent account of the ongoing mystery and mayhem .

"Bellboy Chuy" was perfect and gave me an early morning giggle. Will Hellboy Chuy turn into Hellboy Chuy? Ale treats him like her own personal boytoy. I feel more and more embarrassed for him. Will be eventually turn on her , or will he take the fall for whatever she is involved with?

DAMAS dead or alive had lots of men like puppets on a string. It is always amazing how one person can affect so many other lives in either a good way or a bad way.

"JUEGO":

Susanlynn: If you're a betting person, who do you think gave the order to have Adriana whacked & who benefits from her death ?

juego

Thanks so much, deb, for the recap with so many clever asides. "of course he does; he believes everything." Yep! I was just starting to be fond of FJ, but he's like a windmill.

I can't figure out why Cami is so convinced Adriana killed Jacinta and Estela. She's conned a bunch of people, but there's been no evidence of DAMAS doing something like that. Jealousy?

Also got a kick out of Bellboy Chuy. He didn't turn a hair when Ale moved back into a bedroom that she'll presumably share with FJ. And he's stupid enough to roll around on the bed with her with FJ down the hall.

I was sort of like Elvira, thinking César should stay and fight. But he said something about proving his innocence from a distance. Maybe that's best since the Renata/GumChew Team are determined to lock him up.

I was a bit confused by the scene at the fertility clinic. Of course I was not confused by the actions of the Worst Mother in California. But Ray looked like he didn't get what was going on. Did they show Tomás giving Ray a Power of Attorney or was it forged? Please, please, let those embryos survive.

So sad. Tomás showed a spark of passion, kissing Inés; but the bad memory came back. It's kind of cute the way Big Ed is hoping for something to happen between Inés and Tomás. HE'S looking forward to being a grandfather, unlike Rotten Renata.

I loved the way Linda lit into GumChew. He, of course, accused her of hormones because she doesn't think César killed Adriana. But she called him out for corruption and working with Renata to frame César. When he tried to order her to be quiet, she reminded him she doesn't work there anymore. Maybe there's some way she and César can work together to prove his innocence.

juego

I'll put up a recap tonight, length depending on energy level.

juego

Thanks VERY much, deb, for another delightful and insightful recap.

Among the many understated gems I enjoyed was "before Noelia awakens to say good morning to her mommy doll."

And yes, all the people at the ashes ceremony were dressed in white, including the doll. Was the white supposed to indicate their solidarity with the ashes? And how did they all manage to get hold of well-fitting white dresses and suits at the last minute?

César claims at the ceremony that he wishes he had known Adriana better. Huh? If he had known her better and had any sense, he'd never have married her. I doubt that's what he meant, but it's certainly what I thought.

The generator in the place where the frozen embryos are store will probably be no match for the ever-resourceful Renata. I'm almost sure that we can say bye-bye to the embryos. But perhaps Tomás may nonetheless wind up as a loving father. Though he has insisted umpteen times that he doesn't want a relationship and can't have sex with a woman, he did indeed seem to get turned on by Ines in last night's episode. That momentary turn-on was foiled by his memory of the Russian whore, but I'm guessing that that memory may gradually be overpowered by Ines' presence and love, and in a soppy HEA ending, she and Tomás will have sex, and she will indeed give birth to his and HER child.

Juego

thanks all !!! Love your comments !!!

novelera, I'm thinking Ray did get the power of attorney for Renata, she had Eva call him earlier, but I think it was under the guise of Tomas being under house arrest so she could take care of any business he had, but as far as tossing the embryos, I think that caught Ray totally by surprise. (not in the show but it was explained to me once about what a serious ethics offense it is for a lawyer to screw his client) so yeah, Ray was looking like he was ready to make a run for it.

Earlier in a rant with Cami, Ray made it sound like he and Renata were on the same page, maybe this will make him turn a corner.

"SENOR 8" EPISODE #1235:

*Mecha gets knocked out by Crazy Tracy, who takes her to some undisclosed location.

*Dondi356: Colon & What's his Face (forgot his name) find Roberta's body at the clinic. It's unknown what happened to the nursing assistant, whom Crazy Tracy shoved into some closet.

*Creepy Aguirre & Henchie shoot all of the customers & employees at some ugly bar.

*Diana & Laura have Girl Talk. Ritula comforts Isidro & Humberto.

*Aurelio, Ismael, Skinny, Isturiz & Co., find the location empty & Crazy Tracy leaves a note taunting Aurelio. It seems we're going to brace for Mecha getting tortured.

*Dahlila & Alfaro inside Alfaro's big fancy office in Mexico City: Fast Forward.

#43 – Marcial Herrera – Parte 1 de 3

Yep, Ale and FJ are going to sleep in the same bed. She gets in. FJ says that maybe children would be better than therapy for the two of them. He tells her he knows they agreed not to have children. But maybe they could adopt from the foundation.

Flashback to FJ suggesting that he and DAMAS have a child, in Spain. She didn’t look thrilled. But she said she might consider adopting. She starts to cry talking about a child begging for someone to take her home. In this scene she seems more like Adriana than Mariana. It seems this is where FJ got the idea. Then he wonders if even that was a lie.

Ale tells FJ she’s going for a glass of milk; and, of course, makes a beeline for Chuy’s room. [Is she one of those who has a fetish about risking discovery?] They don’t get far before Renata knocks on his door.

Cami tells Inés about the security cameras failing right before Estela was shot. It seems she’s trying to get Tomás off by incriminating the deceased Adriana. Inés apologizes for giving her a key but thought not much risk with a rich person. Cami says she may have been snooping through files looking for information.

Cami says she’s going to the club where Jacinta worked.

Ale hides behind Chuy’s door. Rotten Renata reminds Chuy he said he’d work for her. She wants him to buy some suits and to dress like Tomás. “You’ll be Tomás for a couple of days."

We are now in a Los Angeles, California courtroom where only Spanish is spoken. It’s Tomás’ trial, and Ray is upset that Camila isn’t there. [For Pete’s sake, didn’t he issue her a summons? Don’t think you can spring a witness on the prosecution without their knowing ahead of time.] Ray makes his opening statement that, in a nutshell, all the evidence is circumstantial. Tomás knew both Jacinta and Estela. But there’s no DNA and no motive.

Ray calls Inés Urrútia.

Gumchew comes to César’s house to bully Elvira. He says she’s an accomplice and he could put her in jail. He grabs her phone and starts looking through it. Yikes! Elvira insists that her son is innocent. He only went to the amusement park to meet Adriana and give her a passport.

Ale asks Chuy what he’s doing with RR. She knows la suegra quite well. He doesn’t tell her and reminds her that she asked for an alibi and didn’t say why. She’s worried about him. She tells him she’s in love with him. Part of her wants to have her marriage and another part wants to lose the election and live in that house with him by the sea.

#43 – Marcial Herrera – Parte 2 de 3

On the witness stand Inés begins to say what a good guy Tomas is. Ray asks if she was there when Estela was shot. When she says that she was, Ray asks if Señor Ferrer was there. The DA objects, but the judge lets Ray ask about Estela saying Adriana’s husband shot her. But Inés raises her chin and says that the husband’s name was never spoken.

Ray just starts testifying without questioning Inés, who’s sitting right there. Sigh! Telenovela trials!

Ale keeps gushing over Chuy, but he does seem to realize she won’t throw it all away for him.

The DA questions Inés about her having been looking at Jacinta’s page during the crime. She owns up that she did it because she knew Tomás. The DA also shows the jury a photo of Tomás with Estela at the foundation. [Well, hell! I know people in the office and could easily have been photographed with them. Does that prove I killed them if they happen to die?] The DA goes on to say that Ferrer was already investigated by the police, and nothing was found. She points her finger at Tomás and dramatically says he’s the only guilty one.

RR comes to snarl at Cami for not showing up in court. She has brought the photos of Cesar taken by the amusement park security cameras. Cami burns rubber from LA to San Clemente to grill Elvira. Elvira tells her that he was afraid to tell her he’d been there. But he only went to take a fake passport to Adriana so she could leave the country. He got it from one Pluto.

Back at the Zoo (thanks again, VVS). Big Ed sarcastically asks if it wouldn’t have been a good thing to have a U.S. Senator sitting with the family in the courtroom. [Since she never goes to D.C., she had plenty of time to show up there. Oh, I take that back! Her REAL job is crawling all over Chuy.]

Oh my God! GumChew tells all the San Clemente cops that Detective Márquez doesn’t work for their honorable force anymore. Some eager beaver tells GumChew that the backpack that was found with the murder weapon inside belonged to Adriana Molina. GumChew is pleased and praises the guy.

Renata tells Chuy what she wants. He’s to seduce a nurse using that face and body to save her son’s life. [What? Getting rid of the eggs is supposed to save Tomás? You warped hyena!]

FJ comes to the foundation. Inés tells him she doesn’t know where Cami went. But, she said that, if she wasn’t back in 2 hours, to call the police.

Linda drives Cami to the strip club. She says she can’t go in because they’ve seen her before, and she might not get back out alive. Cami tells one of the dancers she wants to ask about Rocío.

juego

#43 – Marcial Herrera – Parte 3 de 3

We get to see the Dance of the Cobras at the Zoo. GumChew has come to ask Rotten Renata to get him that transfer to Los Angeles. [This is absurd. We’re talking about two separate municipalities. You don’t transfer from one to the other. You’d have to apply.] She tells him she wants results. He pulls out Adriana’s fake passport he stole from César’s nightstand. He says that Elvira told him what he needed to know…that César went there to give Adriana the passport. He will plant it in the backpack that he now knows belonged to Adriana and that had the murder weapon inside. RR smiles.

While Cami talks with the dancer, who is very worried two of them have been killed, disgusting Pluto walks up calling Cami by name.

Talking about Chuy sinking. This time he’s gone below the surface. He shows up at the fertility clinic pretending to be Tomás del Rio. He tells the nurse, Lucy, that he’s worried because he hasn’t found a surrogate yet. He smiles and invites her to have coffee.

Cami tells Pluto she knows he got a fake passport for Adriana. He tells her that Jacinta and Adriana had a bad relationship, like all women where money is concerned. The inept doorman pretends to be rough and throw Cami out, but says he wants to speak with her in her car.

RR is thrilled and offers GumChew a nice bottle of champagne. He tells her he doesn’t like champagne; he likes gum. He wants her to get him that transfer and a promotion. And in a few days he’ll find César Ferrer and have him behind bars. [Ha! Now that the brains aka Linda are gone, good luck finding anything, GumChew!]

Linda hides in the back of the car while the inept doorman tells Cami that Diana de Nadie and Jacinta were enemies from the start. Jacinta discovered something that worried DAMAS. It was about a man.

Another flashback. Jacinta and Adriana are fighting. Jacinta spits out that Adriana took her man from her. At first the guy eavesdropping thought they were talking about a client. But it was someone Jacinta was in love with. Adriana beats her up and tells her that the guy was only using her to get close to her (Adriana). He always only wanted her. She threatens to kill Jacinta if she messes with her.

The guy talked to Rocío about telling Pluto to get rid of Adriana. Rocío said that Adriana was very resentful ever since she was a child. And that now she’s dangerous. Rocío told him she was afraid of her. [Huh? This doesn’t sound like the Rocío we knew.]

Then the guy went to Pluto. He thinks that Pluto wouldn’t do anything because Adriana knew something about him. The guy tells Cami how much he loved Jacinta, even though she had “others”. He also says that Adriana was fearful that Jacinta knew something about her. His last word is to tell Cami to look for Marcial Herrera.

We see César checking into a motel while Noelia waits in the car. He puts the passport we assume he got from Pluto under the glass. It’s for Marcial Herrera, and Cesar signs his name that way. The plot thickens!

Novelera, thank you for posting that detailed recap that gave us every moment as the mystery continues .

Now we have a new name to add to the confusion. Every twist has a twist. It's a game of Twister.

Chuy, you are a pawn to two awful women . You are in way over your head. Now Renata wants you to be Tomas's double! Wait ? What? I am afraid Chuy is a lost boy. He should listen to his mother who seems to be the only woman who truly loves him.

Juego

Thanks, Novelera, for that splendid recap.

The plot keeps getting better and more confusing. César signing as Marcial Herrera was a perfect plot twist.

Chuy agreed to do what Renata told him? He's doing a pretty good job to make us hate him now.

The flashback of Jacinta and Adriana sure was interesting. Maybe the guy is Cara Sucia?

I also thought that Rocío didn't sound like the one we know.

Again, thanks a lot novelera!

wow, terrific recap novelera !!!

ah yes, telenovela court rooms, loved how it was set up, but the trial... run Cesar run.

(and how long can Noelia keep that lost confused look, peering through a car window?)

wow, GumChew threatening Elvira with prison and grabbing her phone, yikes is right, did he mention a pic of her in a bikini?

Yvonne and her aunt ?? showed up at Cesar's all in white, are they in mourning?

money well spent, with new clothes Chuy looks just like Tomas, well I guess if he went to the clinic in a sleeveless shirt and a pair how hedge clippers they wouldn't buy that.

Cesar registering as Marcial Herrera was a jaw dropper, till I remembered Pluto gave him the passport with that name on it, Pluto is in the thick of it and we have yet to hear his story, maybe Moisés was told to drop that name, everything about that club drips with slime, and I'm still interested in Pluto's comment earlier, that Adriana made him a lot of money.

juego

Thank you deb and novelera for keeping these fantastic recaps coming. I was on a short deadline project for work and just got caught up.

There is so much movement in the plot line again, it is hard to keep up. Just a few thoughts:

Eva is looking a bit more suspicious to me as the DAMAS shooter/killer.

FJ has also lost points again for being so gullible.

DAMAS sure did beat the crap out of Jacinta. I also wonder if the mysterious man is Cara Sucia.

I cannot take credit for naming the Casa del Rio the “Zoo.” That honor goes to the fabulously clever Juanita! Loved “Dance of the Cobras” and “Rotten Renata” novelera!

Gum Chewing Elvis made a huge mistake canning Linda. She is going to be the one to help figure all this out.

Chuy…..aye…I have no words that are for polite conversation. The same thing goes for Ale. She is definitely learning from the best in RR.

What was with that list of names at the end of the episode? Who is Marcial Herrera? I know that is Cesar's new passport identity but should I know that name?

I put up a short recap tomorrow for the episode tonight.

juego

Muchas gracias, novelera, for another superb recap!

I found the scene with Ale hiding behind the door somewhat unbelievable. Yeah, I know, that's not a meaningful criterion when talking about a telenovela, but still, wouldn't Renata have wanted to close the door before plotting with Chuy?? And if she had closed the door....

And yes, several times last night what we saw of Tomás's so-called trial violated legal procedure, not to mention GumChew's insistence on Renata somehow getting him a transfer and a raise. Duh.

I too found the inept doorman's (is he Moises?) account of what Rocio said about Adriana very different from what we've seen of Rocio's feelings for Adriana. But I'm not ruling out the possibility that Rocio finally did come to be afraid of Adriana.

As for "Marcial Herrera," I guess the doorman knew that Pluto had made a fake passport for César in the name "Marcial Herrera," but why would he tell Cami to find him? César is simply running from the police. I doubt he knows anything more about Adriana's killing than we've already seen. Or does he??

And what was the page of lined notebook paper with half a dozen or so names written on it, the last of which (IIRC) was Marcial Herrera? Who wrote those names?

Again, MANY THANKS, novelera!

juego

Thanks, all. I cannot predict when I'll write more and when I can only put up a few sentences. Last night's extravaganza cried out for some scorn.

What I had in my mind and didn't write was this: If Cami was supposed to be a witness, wouldn't she have had a summons and thus be in contempt of court for the no-show? I was in one of those cattle calls a few years ago for a jury pool. Someone's name was called, didn't reply, and the judge barked "Bench Warrant!". I was on a jury very briefly at a different time and the prosecution's evidence was so perfect that, after the morning session, and after the lunch break, we were told there had been a plea bargain and we could go home.

Juanita, now you've made me wonder. I thought that piece of paper with a Marcial Herrera signature on it was the register of the hotel or motel, whatever it was. The whole thing was odd. Whether hotel or motel, one goes inside to register and present a credit card. Telenovela Lodgings?

Susanlynn, enjoyed the callback to Twister. I may still have a residual back tweak from playing that in the 70's.

Weirdo, maybe the man is Cara Sucia. I puzzled over the use of querer last night. DAMAS used the past tense to say that "he" either wanted her or loved her and was only using Jacinta to get closer. It could also have meant he "wanted" to be closer to harm her.

deb, once again your wit shines. Chuy showing up in a tank top carrying hedge clippers would definitely not work.

VVS, I'm pretty sure the name on César's passport is new to Viewerville. ITA about GumChew's mistake in firing Linda. I enjoyed she and Cami working together. So far it's been petulant looks and side eye from Linda. But she seemed to understand Cami's sincerity and was more than willing to put on her Sherlock deerstalker cap.

As for me I am all in on Tomás' embryos. Juanita, I saw your thoughts about a natural conception for Tomás and Inés, but I want Renata to be foiled like a child waiting for
Christmas.

#44: part 1 of 2 (some scenes are combined for clarity and recapping ease)

Chuy turns on the charm playing the role of Tomas and convinces the nurse (I think her name is Lucy) from the fertility clinic to join him for dinner as a “thank you” for taking care of his embryos. She smiles like a schoolgirl as he kisses her on the cheek, promising to pick her up later.

Tomas is back at home and angry that Cami did not appear on his behalf at the court hearing. She has chosen Cesar over me he laments to Ines. She tries to comfort him but he pushes her away saying that “the kiss” was just one of friends. Ines is confused but continues to encourage him to stay positive. All the legal stuff will fall in his favor and he can move on the becoming a dad.

FJ and Pasqual have a conversation in the office about Cami’s blind love for Cesar. FJ understands but hopes his sister can see that it will never work with her and Cesar. Pasqual is convinced that Cesar is a murderer. FJ thinks there might be someone else involved. Eva comes in and gives Pasqual some paperwork to sign and they both give each other the stink eye.

Chuy shows off his new look to Olga. She gushes over her son until Ale comes into the kitchen and comments how handsome Chuy looks. He leaves the kitchen while Olga pushes Ale out with her withering glare.

Eva brags to Sandra, her office mate, that she has come into a wonderful inheritance. She shows Sandra the beautiful red car that is on its way and the apartment overlooking a park that she is about to buy. Cami comes into the office to see FJ. She is confronted by RR and has to deal with more ugliness including RR telling Eva to inform Security that Cami is no longer allowed in the building.

Cami tries to convince FJ to help her prove Cesar’s innocence. She is sure that Pluto and Adriana were behind the murders of Estela and Jacinta, she just needs his help proving it. He tells her to give up the Cesar idea. RR will never allow them to be happy. The only way that might occur is if she follows Cesar and becomes a fugitive like him.

Poor Elvira comes home to find Cesar’s house broken into with things broken and tossed everywhere. There is a note pinned to a picture of Cesar that says, “We Will Kill You Murderer.” She calls Cami to tell her what happened, afraid for her own life.

In Colorado, Cesar and Noelia are holed up in a hotel. Noelia wants to call her Abuela but Cesar says they cannot do that for a while. Once they get to the ocean, they will have Elvira join them. On the TV, Noelia sees the “se Busca” picture of Cesar. He tells her not to believe everything she sees on TV. The Uber Eats delivery guy drops off food and they eat, looking miserable in that awful hotel room.

Ale is back in Chuy’s room trying to romance him as he dresses for his dinner date. His rebuke of her makes her jealous and a bit angry. She demands to know what he is doing for RR. He tells her to go away as he needs to get dressed for his fancy dinner. She pockets one of his neckties.

RR is on the phone trying to finagle the transfer of GumChew to LA. She is hitting roadblocks with senior leaders who are suddenly being very ethical and won’t just bend to her every whim. FJ joins her and both lament about the Cami loves Cesar situation.

#44 part 2 of 2

Back at casa Cesar, Manuel is there helping Elvira fix the lock on the door. He is there to help her while Cesar is gone. Cami arrives with a large suitcase and tells Elvira she is going to stay there with her so she won’t be alone and they can work on proving Cesar’s innocence. Elvira is grateful.

At the office, Eva and Pasqual have a very tense conversation. She demands he purchase that fab apartment overlooking the park or she will go to the police, FJ and Cami to let them know he was at the amusement park the day Adriana was killed. Pasqual pretends to be unaffected by her comments but his face changes dramatically as Eva saunters away. (Big Ed is killing it in this role).

Back at Cesar’s, Elvira tells Cami how she has become the pariah of the neighborhood with everyone thinking Cesar killed Adriana. The doorbell rings and it is Linda. She tells Elvira that she was fired for helping Cesar. Cami explains that the three of them can work together to prove Cesar is innocent.

Cami explains her theory that Pluto killed Adriana, to keep her quiet about something she knew. Pluto set up Cesar at the park to take the fall for Adriana’s murder. Elvira speculates that it is Manuel who might be keeping tabs on Cesar and know where he is. They all agree that Mauel needs to be warned to be very careful if he is in communication with Cesar.

A VERY handsome Chuy, all decked out in a suit, joins the meeting of the animals at the Zoo, to let RR know he is heading out on a date. All cheer in delight except for Ale, who looks like she needs to eat some prunes.

FJ is heading to bed looking for Ale. He sees her suit jacket on the bed and the tie she took from Chuy, in the pocket. His wheels start turning and he heads to the kitchen to find Olga. She tells him that his wife left in her own car.

At a very fancy restaurant, Charming Chuy is playing his role very well with Lucy the nurse. He plays up the being a single dad and is just about to convince her to go to the lab so he can visit his “children” when Ale pops into the picture right before he plants kiss of gratitude.

The young nurse is star struck by Ale and we discover that she might be the only one left in California who is going to vote for Ale again. Ale manages to play right along with “Tomas” and as the wine continues to pour, the nurse spills the frijoles and Ale discovers the real reason for the date and what RR wanted with Chuy.

FJ tells Pasqual about the tie he found in Ale’s suit pocket and his suspicions that she is now having an affair.

In the lions den, Pasqual confesses to Renata that he killed Adriana and now Eva is blackmailing him with going to the police. Renata is completely enchanted by the fact that Pasqual was able to sink so low to save the family. Now they need to take care of the Eva threat. RR wants Pasqual to kill Eva as well.

FJ and Tomas have a nice bro to bro chat before going to bed. (Fill free to fill in).

Manuel is back at Cesar’s as Cami and Elvira try to convince him to give up Cesar’s location. Manu claims he has not been in touch with Cesar but of course, with perfect timing, his cell rings. Cami snatches it out of his hand and tells Cesar it is her. She believes in him and loves him very, very much. As the episode ends, Cami wants to know where he is because she is going to join him.

wow, love your recaps VVS!

"Chuy... joins the meeting of the animals at the Zoo", I really got that barnyard picture.

there is no way Tomas will go to prison, except for Tomas' worries and Ray's defense and telenovela trials. I was surprised earlier when the DA was taking Cesar's side, that's a new one.

speaking of hormones on overtime, does Ale have any time for her campaign?

so Pascual admits to killing Adriana, (he couldn't have set up Cesar without Pluto's help and he was going to let Eva kill Renata), so why does he looked stunned when when Renata tells him to kill Eva, just another business item for her.

Cami is a wildcard to me, how she does things makes me nervous, like when she moves in with Elvira, brings over Linda, stresses that they all need to trust one another, then demands Elvira tell her where Cesar is.

I was hoping GumChew gets promoted to LA before Cesar is brought back to San Clemente, but wait the trial is in LA, and oh yeah, Adriana was shot in San Diego. But anyway as soon as Cesar's new name, Herrera, is leaked by Cami, Linda, or Pluto to Gumchew, well, I don't think mommy doll will be sunbathing on the Atlantic.

VVS...thank you for the excellent recap .

I am getting very confused . Did Pasqual kill DAMAS or did he just tell Renata that ? Now Ren wants him to kill Eva. Around and around we go on the murder merry go round.

Why did Ale take one of Chuy's ties? I like the way Mama bear Olga is not shy about giving the senator the stink eye whenever she is hovering around her boy.

Chuy has become the man for all seasons , a utility player who is up for any job.

Thanks very much, VVS, for yet another superb recap, complete with great touches of humor. I especially enjoyed "All cheer in delight except for Ale, who looks like she needs to eat some prunes."

Wow, Chuy becomes more unlikeable with every episode. I hated the cruelly deceptive way he played up to Lucy the nurse! Admittedly, my mierda list is already quite long, but I've nonetheless made room for him.

So now Linda, Camila, and Elvira have formed the Ladies' Detective Agency. I'm hoping they're the ones that will succeed in unraveling all the mysteries. First, though, they have to get along. They're not quite there yet. I loved the look between Linda and Cami when Linda said, "Don't go near César! They're watching you."

Right now I'm not ready to believe that Big Ed killed Adriana. For one thing, the person in the bunny suit seemed a bit smaller and more agile than Big Ed. And how would Big Ed know about the backpack?? Also, it's hard for me to believe that he would have casually tossed the amusement park ticket into his open wastebasket if he had actually committed a murder there.

I always appreciate and enjoy reading everyone’s comments!

deb and Susanlynn, I agree with Juanita. I do not think Pasqual killed Adriana. I think he is playing to Renata’s “protect the family” mantra to get rid of Eva, I don’t think he expected RR to call him out to actually kill her. I keep thinking Eva is the killer but I cannot figure out how she would get that backpack.

Ale is running the worst campaign I have ever seen deb. Her hormones are definitely on overdrive.

I am not sure why Ale took that one tie Susanlynn as Chuy had two so it was not going to keep him from going out on the “date.”

“the Ladies' Detective Agency” I love it Juanita. Yes, they have to build some more trust there. I think Linda will curb Cami’s plunge in regardless tendencies will her knowledge of police craft.

Fantastic recap, VVS. I also loved "Ale looks like she needs to eat some prunes"! It's taking too long IMHO for Ale to be outed for having Adriana kidnapped and for the fake rescue.

I concur that Pascual did not kill Adriana. If he had really done so, I doubt he'd have told Renata. The two of them do not trust each other. Although I do think that Pascual thinks he has the upper hand. We've seen RR's tears well up several times about Pascual. Some part of her still loves him.

As I said in a comment yesterday, I'm rooting for the embryos, so I was delighted when Ale popped into the restaurant to confound Chuy's plan, whatever it was. Did Renata ask him to somehow compromise the embryos, pulling them out of the freezer or something? But it looks like Tomás' kids are safe for tonight.

Also liked the Ladies Detective Agency (but it's not #1, like in the books that take place in Botswana?).

ITA about Cami's reckless behavior in insisting on knowing where César is. I'm also nervous about Noelia, fearing she'll call Elvira when César is in the bathroom or some such.

I'm hoping César and the others can chill Cami out.
