OT (somewhat) - Last night Alejandra Espinoza (Mariluz) was on Univision’s De Noche Pero Sin Sueño, a Sunday evening talk show. She came off really down-to-earth and sweet, much like Mariluz, but three-dimensional! She didn’t mention the show, but I learned she is married (to a choreographer). I wonder if he worked on the show.

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 102 – Part 1 of 3

We come back to Sam’s big mask-off fight! As O.S. so helpfully explained to us on Friday this means if Sam loses, he loses his mask and everyone will find out he’s Captain Justica! This whole event was really fun and I’m putting all information together instead of shifting back and forth to the ring between the other things happening in the episode. The match goes about the way all his matches go – he’s losing, until he’s not and then he wins!!! It was kind of cute how he started though, with a little cape trick. It was also kind of cute/ kind of weird how Domi had never heard of Capt. Justica until tonight but she’s cheering him on throughout the whole match like his best friend and biggest fan!!! The kids have a great time and when the match is over, Sam unmasks his opponent and gives the mask to Domi while picking up and hugging one of the kids in the crowd, which was so cute!!! Mica also cheered on Capt. Justica and fangirled hysterically afterward. Valero hid during the match but was seen by all and questioned afterwards. He made up some story about getting off work and deciding to go at the last minute. (I am still wondering if Captain Justica is a stand-in so I looked closely at the physique(s) and I still think it is a double. When Sam is unmasked in the back room after the match his stomach muscles look a little more well defined than the wrestlers, but it’s hard to be sure! 😊 Fun to investigate and scrutinize this…)

Domi goes back to see the Champ after the match, and almost but of course doesn’t catch Sam unmasked and there’s a hilarious exchange with Valero and Domi as Capt. Justica grunts more than talks and Domi explains the kids want to take pictures with the champ! While pulling him aside Valero suggests to Sam that he ask Domi out to dinner as Capt. Justica!!! This seems really silly to me considering Sam’s too afraid to even talk because Domi might recognize his voice, how is he going to have dinner with her?? He asks though and Domi says yes, at least I think she did, it wasn’t really clear. (Sam looked adorable when he was hiding maskless and basically grunting out sounds and then the look on his face said he knew exactly how ridiculous he sounded! LOLOLLOLOLOL)

In other locations the Garcia’s are having dinner with Don Abel and Patty. Conchita and Abel dreamily discuss their upcoming honeymoon and Patty announces he and Mari are going away to work! To my utter shock the utterly possessive Lupe doesn’t try to forbid this!!! Or even discourage this! Could Lupe really be capable of NOT controlling Mariluz???

Later Lupe tries to talk Mari out of emailing Lisardo to tell him about Elisa since Elisa asked them not to tell anyone. Mari wants to though and she wants to say goodbye! She feels like she needs to close this chapter to really begin the next. Lupe is hopeful that Mari is finally going to let her past go for real!

Meanwhile, Damian and Jesus talk about Sam and how they don’t know where he is. They worry about him because he’s too innocent and they are also concerned he’ll somehow end up accused of Bautista’s murder…. they decide to talk to him in the morning. Jesus is ready to head home and the brothers hug goodnight, Damian goes into the residence and before Jesus can exit stage left Patty shows up! This is the first think Patricio has done that I haven’t been a fan of but I didn’t like this. He showed up basically to mark his territory and say he’s going to win Mari’s heart and he’s going to marry her so Jesus needs to leave her the hell alone!!! Patty, Mari is not a piece of furniture and this isn’t a bidding war, her future is hers to decide and not yours to work out with Jesus. Anyway, Patty leaves and next we have to hear Mari and Lupe discuss another round of Jesus won’t ever leave me alone if I don’t leave and Carloca is capable of who knows what.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 102 – Part 2 of 3

Speaking of the Loca, she’s at home waiting for Jesus, thinking this night is going to be different and a turning point for her and the baby. She tells all this to Iker Jr, but when Jesus does arrive he’s tired, not in the mood for anything and wants to go straight to sleep!! Carloca is disappointed and the wheels are spinning.

Augi gets news from Fede and starts dialing a reporter as fast as he can. Apparently they have come up with some real or fabricated proof of fraud on the part of Vicky’s handwriting expert!! Oh, the scandal!

Selena’s success is full blown and her new ‘partners’ are thrilled with her and even share the tips but their comment about how she ‘thinks’ she can trust them, and the later instruction that she can only leave for two hours or else her brother will pay the price; put in doubt the patio’s impression that she’s now any better off than she was with Fede.

Mari thinks of Jesus and imagines him there with her, she’s disappointed when her illusion fades. Carloca finds Jesus reading email in bed despite saying he has too tired. He says they are just work emails and he’s going to sleep now. He puts the phone down and closes his eyes. Loca’s wheels keep on spinning…. hope you enjoy your pie Jesus!

Elisa and Damian have a talk about Sam and his MIA status which quickly turns to an advice about love and mom encouraging Damian not to let Domi go. She compares it to her own experience of losing her own love and never being able to recover him. She doesn’t want Damian to go through the same thing as her and Jesus. I wonder how she feels about what Sam may go through? They also discuss Mom looking for something in Augi’s background and Damian was surprised Mom was so good with computers, Elisa was surprised that Damian didn’t know more about them himself.

Vicky gets the bad news that her expert has been discredited! No judge is going to take that man seriously after this scandal and they have to start from zero!!! Emma approaches dad and asks if she can talk to him and Augi says yes, of course but make it quick because I have to make a call. HE DOES NOT HOWEVER, WAIT EVEN ONE SECOND BEFORE DIALING THE PHONE!!! The man can’t even give his daughter a second, scum!!! He calls and calls someone who isn’t answering while Emma tries to share her concerns with daddy that mommy is drinking too much and needs some professional help. Daddy says nothing doing. It’s too risky for his image for Vicky to need help at this time. They will have to keep her drinking at home and calm so she doesn’t make any scenes until after the election!!! He basically pushes the protesting Emma out of the room and tells her to go to bed, she has school in the morning.

Vicky runs and cries to Fede telling him everything he already knows but he does a pretty good job at pretending he doesn’t. He promises to find Vicky a new handwriting expert and to keep it between the two of them but as soon as Vicky leaves, Fede calls Augi and tells him their plan worked.

Okay I really didn’t get why Elisa was burning up her clue, the riddle from the tree box, but Damian stops her and they notice there are some numbers hidden in the message. It looks like the directions to a safety deposit box, but if it were a safety deposit box, they would need a key!!! Sigh! Can you believe it? Vicky finds a mystery key at that very moment!!! LOL

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 102 – Part 3 of 3

Concha and Abel pack up for their trip and apparently they are going to travel all through the night, which is how my family prefers to travel. Augi comes home and even into Vicky’s room! He tries to convince her to stand by his side for the perks of it – like being first Lady and the envy of all her friends! But if that isn’t a good enough reason, then she should play the good wife so people don’t find out she murdered that poor old man. Augi leaves and Vicky panics, she knew it! She’s now in Augi’s hands!

Mari is praying out loud about her doubts concerning going up North with Patty and leaving Jesus when she turns the corner and sees D. Abel sitting there. These two have a super cute bonding conversation and Abel even asks Mari to call him grandpa! Ah! Abel encourages Mari, telling her she’s a wonderful girl who doesn’t deserve to suffer and he’s sure that in time life will put all things in order and bring her the happiness she deserves. Concha overhears this and is charmed to know she married such a wonderful man. Lupe comes to tell the newlyweds their taxi is here and they all say a loving goodbye. Lupe enjoys hearing Mari call Abel grandpa.

Mari cries in bed saying goodbye to Jesus for the 4,027th time!!! Jesus dreams about running to stop Mari from leaving but she’s already gone all smiles and love with Patty! Jesus is mumbling ‘Mariluz, I love you, only you! Don’t leave me!’ in his sleep and Carloca hears and cries! I think you’re getting a double slice of pie in the morning honey!!! Hehe He doesn’t though, doesn’t get anything as Carloca is still asleep when he leaves, leaving her a note. She wakes (or possibly just stops pretending to sleep) as soon as the door shuts and she picks up the note but doesn’t read it. Not this time, she tells Iker Jr, this time we aren’t going to believe him.

Mari and Lupe talk the next morning and wonder how grandma is doing. I guess Abel and Concha traveled through the night because the competition in Veracruz was the next day. They are all dressed up and at the dance but Concha is nervous. Abel tries to calm her and they finally decide they need lucky kisses….so cute! Then the guy comes and gives them number 18! Their lucky number!!!

Patty arrives and Lupe goes overboard making him welcome! He’s come with word, they leave tomorrow!!!! They need someone to intervene immediately apparently. Lupe is worried and alarmed and Mari is panicking, it’s so soon! Lupe tells Mari if she’s not sure, she can say no. Mari thinks she has to be a professional and think of her career! Darcy thinks Mari should get while the getting is good because Loca is clasping the magic potion bottle again saying if he’s not going to be mine, he’s not going to be yours either!!! Is she still planning to poison Jesus? Or is Mari in danger too now?

Thank you, Darcy! For me, you set the bar in recaps. I always strive to meet your standard of excellence.

That Doménica was immediately on the Capt. Justicia bandwagon was a very astute observation. LOL. I vacillate between Actual- Samu-in-the-ring vs. body double. In the ring, CJ seems rather doughy. On the other hand, there have been some scenes where Sam was borderline fit fat. Then again, he was pretty sculpted backstage (as mentioned). I’m glad you opened the door for this scrutiny.

So the writers haven’t abandoned the Samu = Tata Suspect storyline? So.Dumb. The brothers’ concern was sweet. Patty-Cake had a lot of nerve entering a pissing match with Jesús. In his defense, I’m sure he (like the patio) is tired of Jesús trying to have the best of both worlds. You’re right. She’s not furniture and this ain’t Sotheby’s. I love Patty-Cake, but, Dude, you’re not even in the credits. Your odds are about 5OOO-1. Thanks for your service.

I wonder how Selena is going to make use of her 2-hour sabbatical. I hate that they keep threatening her brother (Abraham). Something tells me Samu will save the day!

Not sure which was more asinine. 12-day sober Emma calling the kettle (MD) drunk or Augi not giving her one scintilla of attention. I forgot to mention this is my recap: her outfit here is spectacular! I believe Augi even asked, “Why are you dressed like that?” whilst ignoring her pleas for intervention. LOL @ “keep her drinking at home and calm.” Augi always makes the best plans.

Elisa’s impromptu pyromania made no sense to me either, but it unlocked a clue at the same time that Vic found the mystery key. Patio riddle: how many Corazón Guerrero writers does it take to screw in a beanie? All answers welcome; please show your work.

What kind of people travel all night and then go to a dance competition? I just heard of Brits traveling to London fron Yorkshire and arriving at one in the morning to get a good spot so different strokes... Is it really just 4027th goodbye? Darcy, are you sure you counted well? Because it feels like 10000th goodbye. It's a pity they'll just get Patrichio out of the way because this doesn't make Jesus any more likable. How do they manage to mess-up so badly when writing malegalanes? Emma's devotion to her parents is hard for me to watch. It would be at least somewhat interesting if she got mad at Augusto for ignoring her, but no. And Mari Luz apparentl doesn't give a damn it's not her secret to reveal. What an ass.'she needs to close this circle'. It's your bloody moth you need to close, Mari.

OS: Carloca is going to Carloca: Ramping up the Body Count like an unhinged Tyler Perry TV Drama LOL.

Waterlily: The Good Guys better start a winning streak in the closing stretch. I wonder which daytime Telenovela will replace "Guerrero" ?

 

Guerrero. Another superb recap, Darcy! The kid Sam hugs is probably one of the orphans he was teaching how to garden. I think Lupe is just happy to have Mariluz away from Jesus. Finally another mention of Bautista's murder! I can't even remember how it happened, it's been so long! :) Poor Selena! She can't ever win--but at least she no longer has to suffer Fede's abuse. In my opinion, the sooner he gets his the better. I wonder when and if Santiago's corpse will be found--and if he's still alive. Weirder things have happened in novelas.
