I'm sure Uni is cutting some during this afternoon airing because the original recaps having a few scenes we aren't seeing, but it was shocking to me that Luci was sitting there with her father's ashes in a box before she tried calling to tell her mother he died!!! Did she even try to call before the cremation?? And then when she arrived and was talking about how dad finally got his visa - Mom walked in and was shocked to learn this too....I mean it's clear there was strain in the relationship and Luci resented that mom spent so much time with David's kids, but it seems like she would have told her mom right away that dad died.

Well that wasn't the friendliest re-meet between David and Luci, but it's not the worst I've seen either. David was very rude but he's been very rude to everyone so it didn't really stand out to me.

I wanted to jump through the TV and slap the hell out of Lillian when she said Marcos death wasn't her loss or her problem and went right back to yelling at Luci to get out after hearing that she came to inform her mother of her father's death!!! How cold! I have met one person IRL who was cruel enough to say something like that at a time like that, everyone else I've known, even not particularly nice people would have waited until another day. But that's the novela villainess - no tack, no empathy, no mercy!

How funny that the Police officer that is always flirting with Lillian was immediately taken by Marta, hahahahaha

Vino. Excellent observations about Luciana and Marta, Darcy! Of course, it was more dramatic this way. David almost seems as if he's not just depressed but crazy. He was a bit remorseful, though, when thanks to Sonia he finally grasped who Luciana was. One of the most disgusting things in this episode was that it turns out that Juan and Lilian want David to stay depressed. Such a shame that apparently this will be a long novela so it should be a long time before the anvil falls. Yep, Lilian, like her daughter Graciela, is almost comicly evil.

"VINO"/UNIVISION:

Darcy: Could it be that Univision might move some of the Turkish TV Dramas over to Daytime ?

Vino/Univision

Steve: I think traditionally Uni broadcast their 'new' and first run shows in primetime and re-runs in daytime - though there are some exceptions such as Guerrero which was only run during the daytime, but as a rule it's primetime. So if you're asking (and I think you are) whether or not I think they will send their new Turkish dramas to daytime instead of Primetime, no I don't think they will do that very often. If you're wondering if they might re-run a turkish drama during the day, yes I think that's a good bet. Uni re-ran 'Que Culpa Tiene Fatmagul' during the day a year or so ago and I watched it and LOVED IT!!! It is one of the best shows I've ever seen in any language. I know some people don't like Turkish dramas because they don't like the dubbing and how the actors speaking don't match the words but IMO that show was worth suffering though dubbing issues, it was fantastic!

Vino - I watched yesterday but then I locked my keys and my phone in car and went through this whole frustrating ordeal with trying to get roadside assistance when I didn't have a phone to call. I borrowed a phone but then the first company didn't show up and I couldn't call them back, and they couldn't call me. It was a mess....anyway, all that to say I don't really remember many details to comment on from the episode. I do remember laughing when Lilian yelled 'Sonia' right in Juan's face and he grimaced! I also remember noting that it was weird that Luci stood in front of David in her bra and panties for several minutes arguing with no problems and attempt to cover up but then she wants him to turn around so she can get dressed?? What's the point? Why not just start throwing your shirt on while your arguing? I can see refusing to get out of the water until he turned around, or telling him to turn around immediately but after he's already had a good long look? Just get dressed! What modesty are you protecting at that point?

Vino. Hi, Darcy! I'm sorry for your ordeal. We are so dependent on cell phones, but when we' can't access ours, it leaves us in worse shape than before they existed. I have noticed in a few novelas that when one of the characters is in danger or kidnapped, the writers have to figure out a convincing way for the phone to be disabled. I knew when David turned his head to see Luciana get dressed that he was getting better. Maybe that was the point, even though he'd already seen her in her very attractive but fairly modest underwear. This episode had 2 adorable romantic movie cliches, though modified because of David's trauma. 1. The leading lady is seen swimming in fairly sexy underwear by the galan. 2. The galan tosses her over his shoulder and carries her to his truck because she had hurt her foot (or leg?), though here very mildly. Good thing Gabriel Soto was in good shape!
