Darcy, OS, VVS & Co.,: I enjoy all of your respective recaps of this crazy & chaotic Telenovela.
I won't have time to watch today's episode until tomorrow morning, so I won't be able to do a recap of any kind today....maybe O.S. will surprise us! ;) I will be back tomorrow to at least leave some episode comments. Feel free to discuss away!
Augi starts the episode - telling Elisa, “Don’t cry; dry your eye.” He is waiting patiently for her sons to call her phone. She lunges at him, and he pulls her onto his lap. He tells her if he wanted to, he could have his way with her. The patio retches in unison. She breaks loose and says she’d die before that happens. The patio cheers. He wonders how things would have been had she chosen differently (disparaging Octavio). She defends her choices saying at least she didn’t leave Guadalupe in order to marry Victoriana’s…money! She knows more about his life than he can imagine.
Mommy Drunkest continues her Paternity Reveal @ Conchita’s wake. Mari begs Lupe to defend herself, but she can’t. But wait, there’s more. MD reveals that it was Augi who stole Lupe from her wedding and took her to VIC’S FARM to do their sinful business. Finally Lupe speaks up and tells Vic that Augi has tricked them both. They are both victims. But wait, there’s more. MD whips out the DNA tests confirming paternity. She bleats some more until Mari slaps her. Guadalupe tells Mari it’s true. Mari is furious about the length of the lie and the reveal (on what should be Conchita’s day). Lupe starts her broken record (excuses), but Mari doesn’t want to hear it and exits stage left.
Elisa says not only does she know about Augi’s personal business, she knows about his other ambition-fueled activities. He blames her and her sons for entrapment. She wants him to leave the boys out of it. She’s only worked with Santiago. Augi cruelly tells her he remembers her little opera singer and that he was executed in the very spot where she is standing. Elisa sobs and then says Augi has brought about rivers of blood…and soon he will drown in them! He grabs her throat and is about to go upside her head with her own cell phone!
The brothers conclude that Augi has taken Elisa, and Jesús declares war.
Doménica overhears Fede on the phone -siphoning the Foundation’s monies into his own account. She calls him out. Now the poor girl thinks Fede is real crook and Augi is a saint again.
When we return to Augi & Elisa, she is now in a cage, and her phone is ringing. He answers. Jesús masks his voice and demands proof that he has Elisa. Elisa tells the brothers to stay put. Augi tells “Lisardito” to come alone or Elisa’s dead, and he should know exactly where they are. After hanging up, he menaces Elisa by saying he can’t wait for this mother-child reunion. Then he calls his goons and tells them Los Sánchez are en route and to give them the welcome they “deserve.”
Mari is having a pity party in her room while Lupe cries on Conchita’s casket about all the mistakes she’s made.
Augi and Elisa retell the story we’ve all heard about Victoriano’s murder, her fleeing, Octavio’s demise, and the separation of the brothers. Elisa asks how could a Family Man, who claims his daughters are his world, separate three brothers. Easy, he says. They weren’t his kids. While she’s alive (uh oh) she will never forgive him. Augi claims the man she witnessed being murdered was a traitor and a swindler who deserved to die. Victoriano killed Augi’s daddy and took everything from them. Elisa screams that has nothing to do with Los Sánchez. Oh, but it’s typical Augi. Vigilante Justice. It doesn’t excuse his crimes. Augi recycles the vengeance plot we’ve heard for 116 episodes. His “crimes” are merely justice for his dying pops. Oh, and it felt good stabbing Victoriano Peñalver with the very knife that Octavio had given Vic! Next Augi gets on his high horse about family. He will do anything to protect his family - including killing Los Sánchez + Elisa. She tells him she’s not afraid to die if it means he will leave the boys alone. He’s not interested in that scenario. He thinks “A Mother’s Sacrifice” would be a great name for a telenovela (LOL). She thinks a better title would be “An Empty Man-Drier Than The Desert!” He’s had enough! He wants the war to be over and offers a deal - if they would just disappear from his life, he will never look for them. She is skeptical. He’s serious and their lives depend on it. He’s already lost too much: his nana “most of” his daughters. He won’t be losing any more.
Detective Doménica has put all the pieces together. First, the stolen parts. Then the seduction of Mommy Dearest. Fede calls her paranoid. She says Paranoid is about to call the cops and report him! He urges her to keep calm and wait for Augi to get home. A frantic Emma bursts in and says MD is not responding after taking some pills with a bottle(!) of booze. Fede calls 911.
Mari is loud praying in her room. What will Jesús think when he finds out she’s the daughter of his worst enemy?!! Mica comes in, and tells Mari to grow up and think about all the sacrifices Lupe has made for her. Meh. Mari just wants to know where Jesús is right now.
Augi releases Elisa from the makeshift cage and asks what she thinks of the deal he is offering. A booming voice interrupts. “Forget it, Augusto. I’d rather die than negotiate with the man who destroyed my family! I came to tell you I’m sending you back to jail to pay for all your crimes!” Augi looks around nervously.
MD is on a gurney heading into ER. The nurses won’t let Emma pass, and Doménica is there to support her.
Carloca walks into the (empty) garage looking for Jesús. Lucas crawls in right behind her and scares the bejeezus out of her (LOL). Aw. He’s been looking for her and gives her a big ol’ hug. He’s very proud of himself for being so silent. She’s annoyed and says he is going to blow her cover. She reminds him that she’s supposed to be dead and shoos him away. But he’s not going away. So she makes him stand guard while she enters the bedrooms.
Emma is frantically pacing when the doctor comes from ER with an update. Doc says MD was merely sloshed and now is out of danger. She’ll be released in the morning. She’s allowed one visitor. Doménica thinks Emma should visit. Emma and the doctor exit stage left. Domi then calls someone and asks what proof does she need to file fraud charges. Her legal counselor is not identified.
Carloca is searching the house and finds Jesús’ wedding ring. She puts it on and states the traditional wedding vows. Till death do us part. She’s looking real creepy here.
Augi talks trash to Lisardo (or his voice which is coming from the shadows). Then he calls Octavio a coward. Lisardo says Augi is the coward - threatening vengeance on a woman and then bringing her to the same place where he’s seen Augi commit multiple crimes. What crimes? Lisardo appears (in full costume!!!) and says he witnessed Augi order Jesús to murder Fede and the almost murder of Iker Sr.. as well. 2 masked men appear behind Lisardo and Augi orders his men to take them all - dead or alive. Elisa screams and we have a tense stand-off.
A SWAT(?) team enters, laser pointers light up Augi’s chest, and then all of a sudden the lights go out. When the lights come back on Lisardo hugs Elisa. The two men behind him were Samu & Damián. Jesús says he had an elite team supporting him. Beanie Time. The team was so elite that Augi escaped.
Augi & Saúl enter the Ruíz Montalvo manse. Saúl confirms that the special forces were called in by Lisardo Sánchez. Augi remembers that Lisardo Sánchez also arrested his new BFF in jail. He gives Saúl Elisa’s phone and tells him to pull addresses from it. Augi asks himself if what he’s imagining is possible.
MD wakes from her bender and is happy that Mica brought her lap dog to the hospital. Oh, wait. That’s Emma. She has spent the night by her side. They are actually holding hands. I find myself more fascinated by the tattoo on MD’s left arm. I didn’t expect a woman so classist and vacuous to have ink.
Jesús’ elite team didn’t find anything to incriminate Augi. Elisa mentions the earlier clue/evidence in the murder weapon. Jesús HAS the knife. He found it at the farm and put it up in the garage. He will find it, but he needs to go to Conchita’s burial. He goes to change. Elisa hugs the other two brothers and the retired for a nap. In the cutest scene of the episode, Damián tells Samu to resume his date and he will stays and takes care of Elisa. It’s not right to leave someone stranded on the second date. So Sam throws his gloves or mask in Damian’s face (playfully) and then runs away to get ready for his date.
Lupe is crying and snotting all over Conchita’s coffin. The guests are about to arrive so Mica takes her away to change. Palazzo calls Valero with a wrestling offer for Capt. Justicia. Mamut wants a rematch, and Palazzo needs CJ to lose(!). Valero wants no part of the scam. Palazzo says he makes the rules and to tell Sam his orders and hangs up. Valero hangs up, makes the sign of the cross (LOL), and wonders what Sam will say about all this. He also wonders what would happen if CJ WINS.
Vivana and Sam resume their date at a stream. They’re both nature hounds. They dive in, play in the water, and do some synchronized swimming. They are quite the cute couple.
Lupe greets the guests. Unfortunately, Mari is still bent out of shape. Augi enters and talks to Conchita’s coffin. He asks for forgiveness.
Elisa finds a backpack on one of the boy’s beds and gets her snoop on. She finds a blue mask and a cape and wonders what’s up with the wrestling gear.
Samu (seemingly) tells Vivana everything. She admires him for everything he’s accomplished and quickly joins Sam’s Club. He, of course, remains adorably humble. She talks about how the kids love Captain Justicia. She understands everything with Selena and Doménica and hates that Augi is still causing him pain. She hopes they can prove Elisa’s innocence soon, and next thing you know: BAM! Smooch City. He tells her he likes her a lot.
Doménica tells Damián all about her suspicions of Fede. She claims Fede is the crook. Not Augi. She really is a terrible detective. Once again, Damián is about to set her straight, and she plays the Hold Me Kiss Me card. Next, she reveals that Mariluz is a Ruíz Montalvo. They are half-sisters!
Augi is beating his dead horse about his mistakes, his willingness to change, his second chance. You know? Just like he told Conchita. Lupe says she doesn’t understand why Conchita came back home so upset. She told them her soul was at peace and Augi would find the right way. Augi lies lies lies about Conchita beckoning him to take care of Las Remaining García. Zombie Mari comes walking down the hall. She says she knows the reasons why Conchita would ask him that. Just then Jesús pops into the scene literally. Mari says her beloved mother very well kept the secret…that Augi is her father. Dun dun DUN!!! Jesús says, “Whachoo talking ‘bout, Mariluz (paraphrased)?” and everybody looks crazy in slow motion.
FIN.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, O.S.!!! I am so happy to see this!!! I slept a little later than usual today because I have the day off and waking up to see your recap posted made my day!!! Really, thank you!
I am so disturbed by the actions of MD and Augi in this episode. MD because she interrupts a funeral to do her reveal and Augi because he isn't even at the funeral....he's too busy tormenting Elisa and trying to kill her son's again! Isn't he supposed to love his nanny? Right? Nothing says he truly doesn't love ANYONE like the fact that he didn't even go to see about his nana before going off to get revenge. I do however, LOVE the tieback to the Sanchez revenge plot with the development that Augi too was seeking revenge - I love the contrast! It just cracks me up! Augi is so delusional to think he can justify everything he's done as merely protecting his family and having Elisa ask the question about how can you separate three young boys and him simply say, easy, they aren't MY kids, was perfect!!!
I thought the sudden appearance of the elite force and then the blink and you're safe result was confusion so I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one....that was weird!
I don't care about Fede and Domi's subpar detective skills because with 4 episodes left the truth will be out there soon enough.
I was shocked that Sam apparently told Viv EVERYTHING!! But it's cute! They are cute. I also found it cute that Elisa snooped and found the wrestling costume...I wonder how that conversation will play out. I'm looking forward to today's episode which is coming up quickly!
Thank you again for taking Thursday on for us! It has been such a pleasure recapping this show with you! You are a natural, talented, funny, witty and a such a team player and I really appreciate all of your hard work!!!
Hola, Patio.
Thanks, Darcy & SpanProf.
I have enjoyed this quirky show from the beginning and really appreciate your kindness and support during my Recapper Boot Camp/Training.
It’s one thing to watch a show, but the feedback from the patio really ramps up the entertainment value for me. Thank you for reading my ramblings and keeping the conversation going. I look forward to your feedback after every episode.
Darcy, please enjoy your well-deserved break when the time comes. I look forward to commenting and recapping with you in the future. Thanks for setting the bar and being a great example for my apprenticeship.
I’m ready for our show to deliver! Bring on the anvils, more lucha libre, the happily ever afters, and resolution! I should have my Friday recap up before ya’ll’s Saturday morning coffee.
OS: Thank you very much for your detailed recap of yesterday afternoon's episode. We're just 4 more episodes away from conclusion.
Crazy Augie still hell-bent on exterminating the Guerrero's & Elisa too.
Darcy: I wonder if Marliuz will be accepted by Crazy Augi's daughters.
SpanProf: Something tells me we'll see one final EVIL scheme before the Gran Final.
Steve Boudreaux
I’ve been away for awhile (life definitely got in the way) and I think I remember reading recaps for StuD a few yrs ago but when I’ve tried the link for it now they are gone. Does anyone know where they can be found or if they’re still available? Otherwise should I hold my iPad and Laptop at fault. I recently started watching in in the mornings (for the 3rd time) and enjoy the chemistry’s of Gaby/Horacio & Valentina/Jose Miguel. 😁 SaraAnne
The frijoles have been spilt. Lupe kept Mari’s paternity a secret all these years. Augi asks Lupe why she never told him. Mari isn’t there for excuses. Jesús is observing from afar. Augi is proud of his new daughter. Guada-hindsight says she didn’t know how Augi’d react to the pregnancy. Mari is disgusted by the lie. Lupe gets the Riot Act. Augi defends Lupe. Jesús advises Mari to zip it before she says something she’ll regret. Lupe has no answers right now - not because she’s a coward, but because she doesn’t want to cause any more damage. Mica says they’ve come to take Conchita to her final resting place.
Damián reacts to Doménica’s bombshell, i.e., Mariluz Ruíz Montalvo, and says what a nightmare for Jesús. Doménica is confused; Damián says there are some things Doménica does not know, and it’s time she found out. He reminds her that he loves her blah blah blah. Once again she cuts the truth off by saying he’s the only thing that brings her peace right now. Ugh.
Jesùs, Augi, Valero, and two unknowns serve as pall bearers and carry the coffin out of Casa García.
A nurse tells Mommy Dearest what a wonderful and devoted daughter she has. My neck starts hurting looking at Contortionist Emma all twisted and asleep along MD’s hospital bed. Emma wakes up while MD is taking her pill and is asked, “What are you doing here?” Why’d she stay? MD’s always mistreated her….Emma explains succinctly how Stockholm Syndrome works and hugs a grimacing MD. “I don’t deserve you,” MD says repeatedly as she returns the hug and kisses her forehead.
Snoopy Elisa asks Damián and Doménica for an explanation of the wrestling gear she’s found. Doménica tells Damián to tell the truth and leaves to check on MD. Damián reveals that besides being Mr. Goodwrench around the garage, Sam has also become a wrestling enthusiast. Damián puts on the mask and says El Capitán Justicia. Elisua’s reaction is probably best described as incredulous.
Come to find out, Samu is also an incredible kisser (per Vivana, on the rocks, at the stream, after some more smooching). Sam feels so comfortable and relieved having been totally transparent with his past, and she still wants to be with him! He’s been quiet for too long. He worries about all the hurt when all the truth comes out. Doménica. Damián. Many people. She is hardly amused by another Dome reference. Whoopsie.
A doctor comes to release MD and advises her to monitor her chug-a-lugging. She declares she’s not an alcoholic. That whole overdose/alcohol poisoning debacle was just a mistake. The nice doctor urges her to seek treatment. Mistakes like these can be fatal. He exits stage right. Emma (really pushing her luck) tries again to have MD visit Dra. Pullada for treatment. MD actually agrees without any slaps, shots, or histrionics. I give this mini After-school Special a rating of 80…proof!
Back at Las García, Lupe tells Mari she needs to rest. Mari says she needs peace which she won’t find in that house. Augi offers a discount rate at his house for new family members. Jesús puts the kibosh on that one and urges her to stay near her mommy. Lupe says they should be together. Mica even campaigns, but she agrees to go with Augi. Jeepers! She hasn’t made bad decisions of this magnitude since Isaías!
Mari and Augi are met with stiff opposition from Vic @ the manse. Augi says it’s her birthright. Emma is shocked to learn of Mari’s new last name. Augi explains and asks the sisters to accept Mari. Doménica votes Yay and whisks her up the stairs. Mica gives Mari a reality check and says their relationship is now Master/Servant. Vic still objects to this new housemate. Augi says they are separated, and if Vic doesn’t like it, she can go with her LOVER! That last nugget is also news to Emma. Vic says the only was she’s leaving HER house is as a corpse (uh oh). Augi’s done wasting time with Vic. He goes to his office to handle REAL matters. Vic cries in Emma’s arms(!) and says she can’t go on anymore.
Lucas is manic and tells Carloca that Mari (I’ll spare you all the Lucas-isms) is there, and that Augi brought her with a suitcase. Carlota’s reaction may probably be best described as incredulous.
Samu is back in the garage, and Valero has news for him! El Capitán Justicia is returning to the ring with none other than Mamut González!!! Samu thinks that’s great. Valero says this time CJ has to lose. Does Sam understand, yes or yes (no is not an option here. LOL)?
Palazzo is talking to some shady dudes and explains his scheme to make a ton of money and pay off his BIG debt. While everyone is betting on Captain Justicia, he’ll be on Mamut and go laughing all the way to the banco. It’s a done deal. Nobody will suspect a thing.
Samu does not react well. He doesn’t like it. It’s not right. Valero backs up and does the old elevator going down illusion behind a toolbox (complete with sound effects!). Samu says, he won’t do it. He tells Valero to come (back) out! They are going to tell Palazzo it’s not happening. Valero takes the “elevator” back down. LOL
Vivana and her pops discuss Augi. She can’t believe there’s so much injustice in the world. He says there are the immoral and then there are folks like him who fight for justice. She leaves. Does anyone smell a rat? Alone, he calls someone and asks about the specific charges against Augi.
Los Guerrero discuss Mari’s new surname. Jesús says the worst part = that rat fink now has her living with him (paraphrased).
Saúl comes to see Augi with info from Elisa’s phone. Her calls were all to Los Guerreros’ garage!!! Now guess who’s looking incredulous! Augi now knows the truth.
Elisa visits Octavio’s grave and asks for his help. Augi is very close to finding out the truth (ahem), and they need to prove his OJ tendencies. A stranger approaches and can’t believe his eyes. He’s Omar, Oscar’s twin brother. He worked for Vic Sr. until the night he was murdered. Does she remember him, he asks. She wants to know how he knows Vic Sr. was murdered. Turns out, he was there that night. He saw everything.
Augi is in his office - reeling because Fede is reporting their internet has been hacked. The hackers are the ones who provided Doménica with all the incriminating data. Augi want the hackers’ names and says he’ll kill then himself. Fede says all he has to do is walk across the street. Augi says he should have known. He just found out that Guerreros = Sánchez. Federico’s look can be best described as a little more handsome than usual…and incredulous.
Elisa shares proof with an attorney and wants to reclaim the land which was stolen from her parents. I believe the land in question is the Ruíz Montalvo finca.
Uh oh! Federico is more handsome and SMARTER than the average Fede (©️Darcy). He realizes the Guerreros’ master plan also included seducing the daughters. Augi says they will pay a high price.
Samu (with Valero in tow) confronts Palazzo about his scheme. Palazzo says it’s showbiz and just for one fight. Sam will make a boatload of cash to buy his Mom a house! Sam says he’s the kids’ idol, and he will fight to the finish. Mamut better give it all in the ring because Sam’s not holding back!
The next scene with Fede & MD is disturbing because (A) It’s the same old plot about Vic kicking Lupe out of her rental agreement for vengeance. (B) Fede agrees to do her bidding despite the rental agreement and the previous failure. (C) Vic is inexplicably wearing combat boots. Has she joined Chucho’s Elite Team?!!
Fede confirms the DNA results came back negative and wonders if Amelia got knocked up by someone else (a worker)!
Doménica brings Augi “Carloca”’s ashes.
A non-cremated Carlota is already stalking Mariluz and wondering why she is there.
Doménica wants to have a service for Carlota. Augi wants Los Guerrero at the service. It’s the least they can do after Carloca “always defended them.” The service will be at the old chapel on the Ruíz Montalvo property. Fun Fact: the old chapel previously burned down and will need to be cleaned up. What are the chances?
MD and Emma walk into the rehab center. MD is glammed to the hilt! She takes off her rock star sunglasses and cries(!). She tells Emma not to leave her. Emma vows to stay by her side, and they will beat alcoholism. I give this mini Afterschool Special a rating of 20…proof! Wasn’t Vic just plotting and scheming and heading for combat?
Augi knocks and then enters Mariluz’s room. She thinks knocking is silly as it’s his house. He tells her it’s her house too. Naturally, Carloca is listening to all of this from behind a curtain. She learns that she has a new half-sister. Guess who’s incredulous now! Mari asks Augi if he really didn’t know (about her). He says no, but he always felt a strong connection to her….since she was Mariluzita. He even talks about the call of their blood. She’s still pouting about Guadalupe. Augi asks her to calm down and maybe someday she will call him daddy. I’m secretly hoping Carloca will burst in with a strawberry soufflé, a handmade Octavio Sánchez blade or something to cut through the treacle. She does not.
Doménica is talking on the phone, but I can’t focus on anything but the stiletto heels she’s rocking so casually. Ah. She’s asking Damián to get Jesús to attend Carlota’s service. Sam, Valero, and Jesús all hilariously indicate it’s a Hard Pass in the background. Jesús is worried it’s a trap, but Sam of course offers his patented “Doménica es buena.”
Elisa has (2) updates to give her sons (+Valero) and celebrate. Valero sees the Captain Justicia suit and runs out of the room like the house is on fire. Elisa outs Sam as CJ; Jesús had no idea. She’s done some more snooping and CJ is a big success. She’s proud of him. They will all go cheer at his next match. Sam and Damián are adorable here - fake wrestling and brotherly hugs. The good news is they may be able to get the farm back. The second update is she’s found a witness to Viictoriano’s stabbing, and he’s willing to testify.
Augi is visiting Guadaluoe. She wants to know if Mari asks for her. Augii says she really only talks to Doménica, and he doesn’t see her much. Augi says these things take time. He’s sure he can eventually smooth things out between the 3 of them. Meanwhile, his house is the safest place in the world she could be. What could go wrong?
Lucas is rocking Carloca’s baby doll (to sleep? LOL). Carloca says Mari is taking everything away from her. Jesús. Augi. And all because she’s dead. Pause. Dead. Creeptastic!!!
Lupe cries about being alone and not listening to Conchita. The doorbell rings. It’s Fede and two men. Guadalupe will have to vacate the house. Yawn. She can’t-all her memories are there. Yawn. She could pay more rent. Sorry. The house is for sale. The two men are there to put up the signage. I forgot we can refuse to recap nonsense. Please go to the next paragraph NOW.
Damián, Emma, MD, Jesús, Doménica, Federico, Elías, Mica, Augi, Sam, Mariluz, Adrian, and someone’s ashes are all at Carlota’s service. Seriously, if you pause this scene, 98% of the actors look like they are working overtime to keep from laughing/breaking character. Augi is the only one who (always) grieves hard for Carlota. The priest sprinkles holy water on the urn and towards the audience. Vic jumps as if the water BURNS. Something is off and hilarious about this whole sequence. They leave solemnly.
Augi walks out flanked by his daughters. He tells Los Guerrero not to leave yet. He wants to have a reunion he thought would never happen. There is something to be said, and it affects his personal life. He whips out Octavio Sanchez’s death certificate. Los Guerrero know about Octavio Sánchez, right?
Octavio Sánchez’s cause of death was a heart attack. Jesús is brimming; he knows Octavio died in his arms! Octavio Sánchez’s heart couldn’t handle the stress of his debts. He calls out Los Guerrero as imposters & traitors who took advantage of the Ruíz Montalvo family’s trust. He tells Doménica and Emma and Mariluz these boys aren’t Guerreros; they’re Sánchezes! Augi goes over the scheme and fumes as Carloca was collateral damage.
Lupe is alone in her bed and sees Carlota outside the window. Gasp!
Augi continues his callout. Augi is the victim. Doménica drinks the Kool-Aid. She only wants to hear The Truth. Augi goes into político mode and says he’ll fight for the people. Next, Augi turns Elías into Elsa by ripping off her costume. Sam jumps in to defend his mother and is reason to fight. Jesús asks if Augi’s men are positioned to attack. MD jumps in and says of course they are. She doesn’t believe a word Augi says. Augi says please disregard the drunk, but MD is stone cold sober. Doménica orders everyone (Sánchez) off the property. Jesús says not so fast. Chapel Court isn’t over. They’ve heard Augi’s side. Now it’s the Sánchez’s turn.
FIN
Damn it! Blogger ate Part 5.
I tried to post it twice. So.Frustrating.
Please help! Many thanks in advance.
O.S. Peñalver
Whew!
Finally.
Please cancel that last mayday call. I guess Blogger didn’t like my Friday recap a la Villalba.
Everything is there now. Hope you enjoy. Have a great weekend!!!
Thanks, SpanProf. Hey, Patio.
Part 5 is gone again so I’m reinstating my mayday call. I’m going to end up in the loony bin with Lucas if Blogger keeps it up. Part 5 is hiding like the butterfly tattoo on El Hombre Oscuro.
Lupe was very wise to keep her secret based on that flashback and Augi’s very vocal threats and bullying throughout the season.
The writers have MD acting bipolar which is cheating the audience. She can’t be redeemed while she’s still banging and plotting with Fede.
Without further ado, I present my Anvil Wish List!
Augi: Too many reasons to count.
MD: Child & liver abuse. Classism. Adultery. Food-poisoning. Illegal sale of rental property. Possession of controlled substances (pozole poison, Love Potion #9).
Fede: Murder, rape, gaslighting, adultery, trafficking, not protecting Selena’s brother Abraham in prison, slow conclusions.
Fede’s goons: Killing Selena.
Rodrigo: Attempted sexual assaults. Entitlement. Skateboard tampering.
Renata: Worst BFF ever. Dance-off no-show.
Briana: Adultery; being 45.
Saúl: Ineptness Maximus.
Isaías: Adultery, vowel overload.
Fashion Anvil: Adrián’s Stoopid earring.
Any more?
O.S. you crack me up as always!!! I loved the repeated references to 'reaction is probably best described as incredulous.' The after school special ratings, 'Emma explains succinctly how Stockholm Syndrome works' and so much more! I emailed Rgv Chick last night and asked her if she knew the answer to SaraAnne's question - I have a guess but I'm not really sure if it's correct so I wanted to get accurate information from the source! :) Anyway, she's a busy lady but I am sure she'll be stopping by the page sooner than later to read and respond to SaraAnne and will rescue part 5 as well.
I was confused that Damian knew about Capt Justica! We never (that I can remember) saw him find out but I guess that was maybe pillow talk since Domi and Damian are back together? Hmm. I liked the little family reveal of the cape and the look of shock on Jesus's face!
A clarification on Augi's threat on killing the child if someone was pregnant with his 'bastard' (I hate that word but that's what he said), this has bugged me since day 1 because I couldn't understand how a woman who loved her child so much could still be mooning over the man who had threatened to kill that same daughter in such a heartless way! I meant to mention this a while back, but maybe I didn't because of my ban on recapping any Augi/Lupe nonsense, but I don't think Augi threatened Lupe! I had been thinking that all along but the last time they flashed back to that - maybe when Augi kidnapped Lupe from her Villa wedding? She said that she had OVERHEARD him say that...I think she actually witnessed him threatening someone else with killing the child if they gave him a bastard, and of course internalized it because of Mariluz. This also explains another thing that always bugged me which is why Augi never had any suspicion that Mari was is. If he had known Lupe was pregnant or even potentially pregnant and had threatened to kill the child and Mari was born just a few months later, wouldn't it have been obvious that she was his 'bastard'? I don't think Augi ever suspected Lupe's pregnancy or threatened her.
I LOVE your Anvil list!!! Especially 'Isaías: Adultery, vowel overload.' LOL No kidding, typing his name was always a pain and I'd always spell it wrong and have to stop and think about where to put all the a's and i's. I doubt we'll be seeing him again but he deserves that anvil!!!
The obvious missing from your list is Carloca!!! I know it's hard to sentence her because she's so darn entertaining, but she's definitely earned her anvil! She killed d. Abel, tried to kill Mari 40 or so times, failed at poisoning Jesus and is forcing that poor baby doll to be her child!!!
I almost think Lupe deserves an anvil just for being so stupid, entitled and annoying....I know she's one of the 'good guys' but I just don't like her...I've rarely seen a good character written so unlikable.
I really hope that MD an Renata don't get a 'redemption pass' they don't deserve it!!!! I can almost forgive Ren (if the writers go there) just because she's young and you hope that young people can learn from their mistakes and become better people, but MD has earned her super-sized anvil and I want it to squash her like the house that leveled the wicked witch!!!
I don’t think MD killed Santiago. She shot him but he wasn’t dead IIRC, Augi’s goons finished the job.
Part 5 is now in place.

Rgv Chick responded to my email and reminded me that a while back we had an issue with people from other countries coming to Caray and stealing our recaps and then using them on different websites without acknowledging the original creator of the content. Because of this, certain content was hidden- it's what matched what was currently behind broadcast in those countries. StuD was one of the shows hidden. I was told that the process to unhide is time consuming and difficult and right now real life is in the way of having the time to unhide things but they hope to be able to do so in the future so all content is available.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience
