Today was eventful.....like a high school sock hop! LOL I can't figure out why the employees would need David's permission to put on some music outside of their quarters and do a little dancing on their time off. Unless that 'party' got way out of hand or loud it would be none of his business. They have the strangest 'rules' on the vineyard. Maybe because they all grew up there and the same rules have been in place since they were children? They just haven't adjusted the rules for the reality that the kids are no longer children...

Sonia was hilarious!! Acting all appalled...then reluctantly dancing, and then enthusiastically dancing, getting drunk and then pointlessly apologizing when David showed up!! I'd like to see her less buttoned up and more having fun.

Luci is such a contradiction so confident in everything and so clueless with men. All maturity goes out the window then. For her to go straight to shutting David out, refusing to talk to him and renouncing all romance because of Graciela is just plain childish. And once again Marta is horrible - she finds Luci crying, asks zero questions and without so much as a 'what happened?' basically declares I told you so an tells Luci to shoot for someone in her league like Miguel. Nothing wrong with Miguel of course, but Marta is just the most insensitive mother!!! I can't stand it.
 

Vino. Totally agree with you about Luci and Graciela, Darci! I don't understand why Sonia doesn't treat Luci with more respect, given that she has a university degree. She may not have the number of years of work experience that Susan does, but otherwise they are fairly equivalent. I too hope that Sonia undergoes some kind of behavioral change in a more positive direction. Enjoyed the impromptu celebration and dancing.

Yesterday Susan and Tano had a fun first date laughing and dancing together so of course today they are having a dramatic near breakup because Tano wants to formalize their relationship while Susan is afraid because her abusive ex traumatized her. Not to make light of an abusive relationship at all, it's just the idea of going from first date to commitment! LOL It's called a 2nd date people! That said, I didn't like the Tano more or less insisted even after Susan shared her concerns. He should have offered to back way off, take things slow, hang out and see where things go. Instead he insisted he's different and he will love her better, yuck. Judging from that kiss though, Susan didn't mind as much as I did.


Perla and Juan have seemed mismatched since day 1 and for good reason, but somehow in the scene where Perla found the receipt for the acid and was pushing back a little with Juan they seemed more evenly matched, there was a spark of something there - not talking romantic, referring to acting chemistry - for a second you thought these two could make very dynamic scene partners. Then Perla backed down and she was the little girl totally mismatched with the older man there. It bodes well for potential development though if Perla ever gets disillusioned with Juan she could be fun to watch as the woman scorned.


Speaking of kissing, Luci was all done with love and David yesterday, dancing with Miguel and refusing to speak to David which gave Miguel hope. Today she's sharing steamy kisses with David and skirting around hopeful Miguel who has no idea it's hopes are about to be shattered again. I don't like for a second she intends it but Luci is definitely leading Miguel on at this point.

And now Gracie knows exactly what is up with Luci and David and is using Fernanda to interfere - sending Fern to do the enemies closer act....sad sad sad.

I forgot to mention this earlier but per Zap2it we are pre-empted today. They are showing fútbol this evening and La Rosa de Guadalupe and news in the afternoon leading up to it
 

Vino. I missed yesterday's episode because I had a meeting to attend. The plot summary online is so detailed that I may not have to view the episode online. As usual, not a lot of new stuff happened, except in this case, the Plot Earrings, acid fertilizer, and Marta's "relationship" with Gutierrez, all of which I expect will be picked up on in future episodes--one of the advantages of a slow moving novela, I guess. It reminds me of when my grandmother used to watch soap operas, which, before the internet or tv recording, were extremely slow moving and repetitive. She could go on vacation or visit relatives, secure in the knowledge that it would be easy to pick up on the episodes she had missed.
 

Oops! That was the episode 20 summary, not 19. But I then read episode 19, and the same goes, if not more so. :)
