Daytime TNs....Y Mas (#1), Week of August 14, 2023
Welcome to page 1 of Daytime TNs! This page is to give those who are watching daytime TNs on any channel a place to discuss the TNs aired prior to 7Pm. If you would like to contribute a recap of just some highlights for a daytime TN, I’m sure there are those who watch the same TNs that would appreciate it.
8-10 AM: Rebelde (Unimas)

5-6 PM: La Fea Mas Bella (Unimas) *** Ending Monday
5-6 PM: Por Ella Soy Eva (Unimas) ***Begins Weds.
*** As noted above, La Fea is coming to an end on Monday and there's a movie titled: Get the Gringo! showing scheduled for Tuesday. I doubt very much that I will watch it but that definitely sounds interesting, lol. Then Unimas will begin airing Por Ella Soy Eva on Weds in the La Fea timeslot. And the last thing I need right now is another novela to watch but I looked this up and it looks fun!
I don't think this is spoiler because it's just the synopsis of the plot: Soy Eva is about a man who is a renowned womanizer. He falls for real for a woman who definitely wouldn't give the famous Juan Carlos a chance because she knows his reputation so he lies about his name, wins his woman and just when they are about to get married she finds out of course and feels betrayed and played! He also gets framed her a crime and 'dies' in an accident....everyone thinks he's dead and he decides to hide until he can prove his innocence and clear his name, thus he becomes Eva!!! LOL And gets a job as the new secretary of his former lady love...along the way Juan Carlos learns a few things about respecting women!

I am going to be sad to say goodbye once again to my favorite novela of all time “La fea más bella” but “Por ella soy Eva” will be starting ! It was the very first novela I ever saw and it is a fun one. I had never considered watching Univision but while I was channel surfing one day, I saw a promo of PESE with Jaime Camil prancing along in heels and it made me curious enough to take a look. It is well worth the watch and I will be watching when I have time. It was during PESE that I discovered Caray, Caray.
I miss "seeing" everyone here and snarking about telenovelas, so, fingers crossed.

Darcy - thank you for the heads up on PESE. If I remember, I might give it a try. I think I watched a few episodes when it was a first run on prime time. Generally, I am not a fan of Rosy Ocampo telenovelas with Las Tontas No Van al Cielo as the exception.

Hi Doris!!! If you do give it a go I hope you'll come back to the patio and let us know what you think!!! It sounds like it might be more comedic but you never can tell. I remember we thought Solo Con Hijas would be comedic and so much of it wasn't!
Never ending computer problems (will since last week and hopefully soon-ending) at work once again interfered with me paying close attention but I don't think all that much happened in this episode anyway.
We did meet Erika - new rival for the wine business and new love interest for Miguel, maybe??? There interaction did seem flirty, at least a little. Erika looks similar to Luci, so we know she's Miggy's type. She seems intelligent and competitive so let's hope she can liven up the place!
Speaking of looks, some scenes lately David has looked a little off - I guess odd is just the right word, like when he was entering Fern's room to speak with her we see him in the door way with his shirt half-unbuttoned and a wind-blown type look to his hair. He looked more like a book cover than a man standing in a doorway - it was weird photography (I think that's the right word)
Poor Carito needs to run from the opportunity to join her buddy Perla in this new business venture. She's clearly uncomfortable herself, why drag Carito into it? Whatever other faults she has, Perla has always seemed like a genuine friend to Carito....until now.
Also note: I forgot to mention it above but Zap2it shows Vino will be pre-empted on Weds by Futbol.
Interesting observation on Cesar, SpanProf. I can't tell you how many friends I have that are totally savvy in every area of life except in romantic relationships!!! I never could understand how they 'didn't have more sense' in their own picks. I guess love is truly blind.
I don't know if it was Uni or my internet or what but the broadcast kept going out today. I did read the recap though so I don't feel like I missed anything. I did get to see Sonia in the bar with Leon and then sleeping in David's bed!!! LOL Sonia is the fun in this show, I mentioned last week it might be more fun to play the villain then the good girl, even more fun still I think is to play the wacko!!! LOL I bet Veronica is having a blast.
Two other things I saw:
Tano jealous because Mark sends Susan flowers??? Really??? Who throws a jealous fit over the ex when they KNOW that their partner can't stand the ex???? So odd....and speaking of WTH is Tano getting a $10,000 bail FOR?? Again, what did Tano DO to Mark that he's in trouble for?
David's big emotional goodbye to Luci in which he actually says: 'Maybe life will cross our paths again....' LMAO She LIVES on his vineyard and he's going on vacation - he makes it sound like he's moving oversees never to return! Not to mention this was like the 300th goodbye so you can be with Miguel conversation - no lack of the dramatic on this vineyard!!!
Darcy: We all KNOW full well that David & Luciana are going to be endgame.
What's up with Creepy Mark & his obsession with Susan ? Is it true that scumbag violently beat Susan during their marriage ?
Tano needs to CALM DOWN.
Sonia being the EVIL Antagonist is going to drive folks crazy.
SpanProf: Graciela's going to get exposed for killing her sister sooner or later. Crazy Nutjob will get her Karma in the worst way.
While we're at it: When will Carlito stop bullying Luciana ?
I don't think Sonia is evil or an antagonist, really. She's a little uptight and drill sergent-like but so far she hasn't really shown any actual bad intentions. I would say she's just not fun at parties, except she totally is a fun drunk. Sonia just mirrors her boss, Lillian is cold, rude and mean and Sonia goes along to get along. I don't think we've seen much at all of Sonia's actual feelings and personality yet. Either way, she's the most interesting character on this show easy.
SpanProf good point about bail bondsman but I still don’t understand what Tano did that he is being held or bonded for!!! He yelled at the guy on the phone, where’s the crime?
Your comment about financial security and getting bond, I never thought about that but sadly not surprising. I had one experience with a bail bondsman, I was in my early 20s and my sister got arrested I can’t remember why, but I remember the bail bondsman said he would agree to bail her out but he was 100% positive that I would be seeing him again when I had to pay off the bond, bc she wasn’t going to…..which I guess would happen if she no showed the hearing??? I honestly don’t remember, but he was right, I saw him again when I paid the rest of the bail! Never again
