SpanProf - the only reason I can't root for Peter is because you know Fern doesn't even like him. I doubt he'd have much chance of capturing her attention or her heart, especially at that age if the spark isn't there it isn't there! Reminds me of all the 'nice' guys I always thought my sisters were crazy for breaking up with because they just didn't like them enough, meanwhile all the boys they got serious with were jerks....there's no accounting for attraction. I tried for a long time to understand what makes one want one specific person and not the equally attractive/nice/kind/friend/etc person over there who actually wants you. The heart wants what it wants.

I forgot to say this yesterday but I have a feeling that it's really Gracie's boyfriend/agent (forgetting his name right now) who invested in the vineyard! Not a spoiler, I am just guessing. The way he wanted to see the vineyard and see how things were going, meet David, etc; it struck me like an investor wanting to check in on his investment.. Gracie worked to keep David and BF from meeting each other presumably because she didn't want David to know she has a boyfriend and boyfriend to know she wishes she had a David; but what if it's really because she doesn't want David to know his business partner isn't named Graciela?? I think Juan is on to her too....she doesn't know exactly what's wrong but he smells a rat!!! A not just Mark! Mark is a bigger smellier rat.

Luci sounds crazy when she accuses David of being selfish! Exactly who does she think about besides herself? I suppose Bobby, but she definitely isn't thinking about Miguel while she's trying to force herself to be with him even though she's clearly in interested in David. And both David and Susan have the 'she's deserves to be with someone who makes her happy' refrain. I whole heartedly disagree!!! If you are hung up on someone you don't go out to find someone else to hopefully make you forget person #1, and even if you did, you would go out and meet new people not turn to the guy who is obviously head over heels in love with you and just hope that you can grow to feel the same.

Gabe Soto sounded so awkward trying to speak English!!! I don't know if that's because the man himself doesn't speak much English or if it's intentional for the character, but it seems odd to me that a vineyard owner living in N. California for presumably his whole life wouldn't speak English fluently! Juan really is the only character who sounds like he's truly bi-lingual, which I think most of these characters should be; assuming they were raised in the public school system - clearly they speak English in the public schools there as we see with Bobby.

Oh well, rant over.....I still like Sonia and Leon, it's like a breath of fresh air drifting through the drama. They had their minor drama about Lilian but now they are good. And Tano and Susan are back together, darn; I really did want to see him try to romance the boss's daughter for some reason.....I don't know why, perhaps just because I'm bored. I enjoy getting to discuss it with you though, SpanProf! Hope you're having a great week!

"VINO":

Darcy: Bratty Fern is annoying LOL. I just want Karma to hit her in the face whenever the truth about her mother's death is revealed.

OT

I'm planning on posting this on next week's page but since I know some of us just skip to the comments, I wanted to post in the comment section too:

La Fea is coming to an end on Unimas next Monday and there's a movie titled: Get the Gringo! showing scheduled for Tuesday. I doubt very much that I will watch it but that definitely sounds interesting, lol. Then Unimas will begin airing Por Ella Soy Eva on Weds in the La Fea timeslot. And the last thing I need right now is another novela to watch but I looked this up and it looks fun!

I don't think this is spoiler because it's just the synopsis of the plot: 'Soy Eva' is about a man who is a renowned womanizer. He falls for real for a woman who definitely wouldn't give the famous Juan Carlos a chance because she knows his reputation so he lies about his name, wins his woman, and just when they are about to get married she finds out (of course) and feels betrayed and played! He also gets framed her a crime and 'dies' in an accident....everyone thinks he's dead and he decides to hide until he can prove his innocence and clear his name, thus he becomes Eva!!! LOL And gets a job as the new secretary of his former lady love...along the way Juan Carlos learns a few things about respecting women!

Vino. Yeah, I agree about Fer and Peter, Darcy. And Peter probably would be better off without Fer, who is quite selfish. I expect she will learn her lesson though, yes, probably when she finds out how her mother really died. And again, David had no business forbidding Luci and Miguel to go to San Francisco on a weekend. That may even be illegal. But Bobby's traumatic confrontation with the (remarkably stupid) bullies: Way to keep Luciana and Miguel from being able to spend the night together, writers! Poor Joselo! Which is worse? Having Graciela as a girlfriend or being rejected by her? Juan now has more to blackmail Graciela with--and for a share in her profits from the winery. (Isn't embezzlement enough?) Whoa! The undocumented group of workers was deported right away! I guess now we'll see more of the stereotypical coyote? Have a great weekend, Darcy!

SpanProf - Considering she's psycho I would have to say having her as a girlfriend has got to be worse! Just think she may actually do away with poor Joselo if he doesn't scurry off to Spain and get out of her way!!!

I haven't watched yet today. It's been a busy day and I have an event at church tonight so I think I'll wait til tomorrow to watch and comment then! Hope you have a great weekend too!

Well it was Bobby-interruptus! Both for Luci and Miguel and to save Bryan from meeting Luci - but of whatever is he going to do with Lillain on the line demanding his presence!!! Lol

I will never understand why any woman would want a man that she has to basically beg to be with her!!!

Gabe Soto's physic sure is impressive...and Grace once again tries to shed some clothing to win an advantage. I supposed if nothing else much is going on they might as well play up the eye candy angle.

Fern thinks Tano is jealous, but is he? I think Fern should go to Italy! How many high school girls get the opportunity of a trip to Italy? Go and maybe broaden your horizons a little beyond just Tano. I got the opportunity to go to Italy in 2019 and it was an amazing trip!!!

Vino. Yep, the writers kept Luci and Miguel from pending the night together, and now between Luci's presumed late arrival and Gutierrez's phone call from Lillian (which I presume he will try to pass off as a police emergency), it looks as if there won't be a confrontation between Luci and Gutierrez for a while either. Ho hum. I agree that Joselo's getting away from Graciela could be a lifesaver. She mentioned to Lillian and Juan that if he didn't go back to Spain, she might have to "get rid of him," and though she said she was only speaking figuratively, we can tell from Juan's facial expression that he realizes she is speaking the literal truth.

Vino. And btw, I don't think I have ever seen a novela that had such a gap between the ages of most of the couples. (Grace and David are supposed to be around the same age, though of course the actress playing Grace is much younger than Gabe Soto). An exception also is Marta with either Bryan or Ramon.
