First things first (because I'll forget if I don't type it first): I loved that self-satisfied smile on Grace's face right after David left the room. You know, right after she flashed him the goods! I don't approve of her methods or anything but that little irrepressible smile she had when she was oh so proud of herself was hilarious!!

So according to Mark, woman were created to obey men! THAT'S what I've been doing wrong all these years!!!! hehe I mean I doubt I'll become any more obedient but at least now I know.....smh


Who waits until the day before the event to tell their employees they are invited, oh and by the way Luci I want you to give a big old emotional speech about what the wine means to everyone!!! This seems highly inappropriate to me for two reasons: 1) Luci is the newbie! David should ask someone who's been there all those years to talk about the years of work and love that went into the wine and 2) You don't give someone 24 hours notice that they are going to be the key note speaker at your event.

There was a lot of talk on the other recap about Fern's dress, but I liked it!!! I thought it was cute and age appropriate.

I don't remember anything else....it was a busy day at work and then my sister kept sending me photos of the county fair where she lives. My sister, grandma and niece all entered their projects in the fair. My grandma entered two quilts, my sister some little animals she crocheted and my niece four paintings. My grandma won first place in both of her categories and got Best in Show for one of her quilts, My sister got a couple of 2nd and 3rd places and some honorable mentions, and my niece won with every painting! One first place and 3 second place ribbons!!! Pretty awesome!

I thought of something else!!! The subpoena Tano got, at first I thought they just wanted him to testify at the divorce trial but then Tano and Miguel started talking about Tano needing a lawyer and how he needed to be careful or he might go to jail??? Did I miss something? Or am I just forgetting something? The only thing I remember happening between Tano and Mark is Tano taking the phone from Susan and yelling like an idiot that Susan isn't alone and he is her novio....you can't send someone to jail for that. Did Mark and Tano have another altercation that is slipping my mind?
 

Vino. How cool about your grandma, sister and niece, Darcy! No, as far as I know there was no other altercation between Tano and Mark, this one was only verbal, and as far as I know, there is no law in either the US or Mexico against a separated, divorcing woman's starting to date again. Weird, and kind of a manufactured conflict. Right on about the employees' getting an earlier invitation to the employees. And I don't quite understand why Graciela is threatening not to attend the art and wine exhibit--after all, its her paintings that are on display!

I have been mostly hard on Luci because Luci mostly annoys me with her overbearing ways but I got to hand it to Irina Baeva, her performance in the wine cellar (not the makeout session) when she was explaining how scared she was to going to be given her place was fantastic!!! She really made me feel for Luci and made me feel bad for being hard on her. Today reminded me that this is a young lady was ripped away from her home, mother and brother suddenly and without warning at a young age; had to develop a new home with dad alone that never would have felt like a real perm home because they were always anticipating reuniting with mom and bro; had her father torn away from her just as suddenly as she had lost her mom years earlier; and when she finally makes it back 'home' she has basically everyone - sometimes even her mom - trying get rid of her and telling her to leave 24/7. Yeah, I can see why she'd want to fight like hell for her own place to belong...

I still don't like Miguel though, he gets more possessive by the minute too...eek!

Don't care about Marta, Lilian, and Bryan but I did chuckle at Lilian's look when she oh so slyly arranged it so Marta would find out Bryan was an immigration cop.

Don't care about Fern, Peter, Tano, Susan....

Gracie looked a little over the top but when you figure she's the featured artist I think the outfit fits. Gracie got another win too considering Luci just looked bratty by being offended. Luci really needs to be a whole lot more strategic in how she handles Grace.

I thought Sonia looked really pretty - Leon did too! LOL - and I laughed so hard at her drunkingly throwing herself at Senor Davvid!!! I think Gabe Soto was laughing too, it doesn't seem like how the character of David who react. I'm guessing Gabe just couldn't stop laughing so they had to make it work. Sonia is much needed comedic relief when she's in a silly mood - I vote for more!


 

Vino. Great observations on Luci, Darcy! The trauma she experienced when she was deported with her father could explain a lot about her difficulties as an adult. I kind of like Peter but agree with you about the rest of your list. I thought it was sort of contrived that the hotel/restaurant (or whatever) employee didn't immediately go inside to see if Luciana was supposed to be on the list of attendees You bet your boots that Luci needs to be more strategic! By refusing to go in and give her talk after David discovered the "mistake" in the list she and Miguel played right into Graciela's hands.
