Welcome to Page 1 (Monday edition) of the Telemundo y Más page, issued twice a week: Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 PM.

Here are the current telenovelas (all times are Eastern Daylight Time):

9 - 10PM - Vuelve a Mí**

**A new telenovela, Vuelve a Mí (Come back to me), begins on Monday with a 2-hour segment (9-11PM). From Tuesday on, Vuelve a Mí will occupy the 9-10PM time slot, and Secretos de Sangre will be seen as usual at the 10-11PM hour. Here is a brief synopsis I found on the web: "Vuelve a Mí is a romantic drama that follows Nuria, a woman of humble means, who begins a brief relationship with Braulio without knowing that he is one of the owners of the company where she works to support her son and sister. The lives of the main characters begin to intertwine after the tragic kidnapping of Andrés, Nuria's son. In this drama full of love triangles, a mother's unconditional love for her son will become the common thread that drives the story." The novela will star William Levy, Samadhi Zendejas, and Kimberly Dos Ramos.

Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post, so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for.

By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. 1st episode – part 1 of 3

This will be a short one, just to get the conversation rolling. I really, really hate two-hour premieres.

We begin In Ciudad Juárez. It’s the Feria de San Lorenzo. There are some dancers dressed as Aztecs and a big crowd. We see that Nuria García is a very loving mother.

Santiago Zepeda has been a prisoner for 5 years, accused of murdering someone. His friend Chema asks him to take a letter.

Braulio Zepeda (Santiago’s brother) has come to the maquiladora in Juárez that his family owns. Right away he seems shady. Nuria works in that factory. An awful foreman tries to sexually harass her in a back room. She threatens him with a scissors and gets away.

Nuria’s bratty sister, Consuelo, says on the phone that she’s in classes (the ones Nuria works two jobs paying for) while she’s, I think, post-coital with one Fausto. He was fired by the police. She’s upset he isn’t proposing to her. [Lie down with dogs, Consuelo, get up with fleas.]

Braulio’s wife Amelia runs a foundation for kids and obviously adores them.

Consuelo does nothing but gripe about living with her nephew, Andres.

Nuria comes to complain about Jairo, the guy who tried to trap her in the back room and SHE gets sent home for the day. We find out that Braulio is Nuria’s boyfriend of 6 months.

Amelia has been trying special fertility treatments but finds out from the doctor that she won’t be able to have a child.

Braulio lies to Nuria that he has been living in Mexico City because his parents are old, but now tells her he’s moving to Juárez. He’s also pretending to be an accountant for the Zepeda company rather than having his name on the door.

Braulio comes to pick up Santiago at the prison. He tells Tigre, who’s driving, that it’s time for the show (of brotherly love, I assume).

Nuria and her son Andrés wear matching bracelets made of red fabric and beads, saying they represent their luck.

1st episode – part 2 of 3

It turns out Fausto owes some money to some thugs who show up pointing guns at Fausto and his friend, a guy I’ll call Blondie since I never got his name. He’s given 24 hours to come up with the money.

Santiago leaves his brother in the hotel saying he needs some fresh air. He runs into Nuria in the hotel lobby, spilling the coffee she’s carrying. Her magic bracelet falls off. Santiago picks it up. She’s come to the hotel to take a big step, inviting Braulio to meet her son and her sister at his birthday party the next day.

Santiago comes home and we see that Martha much prefers Braulio to Santiago. She believes he was guilty. Roberto, his father, adores him. It turns out Martha is the stepmother who married Roberto when Santiago was four. She swears she treated both boys the same, but Santiago was rebellious and a playboy.

The awful factory guy gets fired by the factory manager, but somehow doesn’t have to leave immediately. He goes right to the factory floor and fires Nuria.

Sulky Consuelo has picked up Andrés at school and grudgingly is buying him shaved ice. Just then Fausto and Blondie, wearing hoods that cover their faces, grab Andrés. There is a plan to sell him to someone at the border. [sex trafficking? organ trafficking? they don’t say. He’s too old to be given to parents wanting a child; he’d speak right up.]

There is a lot of wailing and grief when Consuelo tells Nuria what happened.

The kidnappers switch from the car they used to take the boy to another car.

Braulio is told he won’t be a father. He tells his charming (not) mother that he doesn’t want to adopt and raise someone else’s kid. He wants to separate and says he’s in love with someone else. His mother says no divorce because Amelia’s family put up the money that saved the Zepeda firm.

We see a flashback where Santiago gets dumped on the day he proposes to Alicia.

Nuria and Consuelo manage to find one good cop willing to help them.

Andrés is making things hard for the kidnappers. He recognizes Fausto as Consuelo’s boyfriend. He insists he must go to the bathroom. When they stop at a gas station, the boy escapes out a bathroom window. When they got out of the car, Fausto picked up a call from Consuelo, who heard Andrés’ voice.

1st episode – part 3 of 3

Andrés is walking beside the freeway, I think trying to flag down a car to help, when Fausto and Blondie grab him up again.

Santiago gives Violeta Chema’s letter, but she doesn’t want to forgive her father the prisoner.

Andrés is put in the trunk so Fausto can return home. He’s worried about Consuelo being suspicious. Blondie is driving, and Andrés does the thing we’ve read on the internet. He takes a tire iron and bashes out the left taillight. He sticks his arm out and catches the attention of a driver behind. When Blondie opens the trunk, Andrés bashes him with the tire iron and runs.

Fausto ends up having to tell Consuelo what he did. He actually says something about doing a good thing for both of them; she's rid of the pesky nephew and they'll have some money. After she calls him a sicko, he finally agrees to try to get the boy back. Of course, we're going to be treated to lots of Consuelo's tortured expressions because she doesn't seem willing to give up Fausto and won't tell her sister the truth.

Andrés remembers something his mother said about the color of the bus they use. He sneaks on one and hides way in the back.

Santiago meets one Alberto in a bar. The guy is a hacker. He gets some photos from Alberto that I suppose are of the ones who really killed Alicia and Fabián (the man she left Santiago for).

The clothes Fausto threw out the window so Andrés school uniform wouldn’t be recognized are found and brought to Nuria by the nice cop. More grief.

Consuelo finds out Andrés got away when she meets Blondie with Fausto. Blondie has no idea where the child is.

Andrés has arrived in Aguascalientes, not Juárez. The bus driver tries to grab him up, but he gets away. Then we see that he tries to cross a street and either falls down or is hit by a car. His mother, of course, senses this.

It took me a minute to get over having seen Samadhi Zendejas as the obsessed Cirse in Falsa Identidad, but she seems to be doing well in the role.

Well, that’s all that I had the patience for. Hopefully there might be some volunteers to recap. Looks like the rest of the week will only be one-hour episodes.

vuelve

Thanks so much, novelera, for your amazing recap. It helped me get the main characters straight, as I didn't have the time to watch. Thanks again.

So in typical Telemundo fashion, lots of action from the first episode. Nice.

Lol I also remember the Diego-obsessed Circe. I only watched the first season of Falsa Identidad.

This is starting good. I can't believe Fausto. And his reasoning for what he did was WTF worthy.

This is moving fast. That's a good thing, but I'm worried about the possibility of the quality dropping later on. We'll see.

vuelve recapping

As I am currently recapping 3-4 days a week "Minas de Pasión" on Univisión, I will be unable to recap, at least until Minas ends.

Vuelve

Novelera, thanks so much for the recap . I planned to watch, but life has been hectic recently , and I forgot it was on. I plan to watch tonight ....but you know what they say about plans!!!

Visits

Weirdo, is the kid in this show the same actor who plays Lucas in " Eternamente ?"

vuelve

Thanks so much for the very helpful recap, novelera. I had this on last night but didn't pay close attention to it.

It's hard to watch a cute little kid in danger.

I like Samadhi Zendejas, I am eh about William Levy. He's neither a must see nor a dealbreaker for me. If the story and chemistry is good, I might continue watching, but there's no way I can commit to recapping while Secretos continues.

Vuelve

Well, I still have trouble understanding when Wm. Levy talks. After so many years...
He's not a draw for me, plus his hairpieces always look wrong.
The kid sure is spunky! I can't take weeks and weeks of him being in danger.
The "Who killed Alicia" mystery is compelling. I fear it could have been Braulio, given his conversation with his mother. That would be sad. Seems like he has been a pawn for his family.
Anyhow, I won't be a steady watcher.

What ever happened to El Conde with Colunga? Is it on Netflix, never to be on Telemundo?

Beth S.

vuelve

Another thing that was mentioned in passing was something about "espionage". In context I had the impression that somehow a competitor had gotten some information about the Zepeda product (whatever that may be) and used it to, maybe, undercut them in business. This could be the reason for the bad financial condition 5 years ago that Martha alluded to. My money's on Braulio as the culprit but, of course, Martha seemed to blame Santiago for that, as well as for murdering Alicia.

Amen, Beth, on Levy the mumbler. I know that Cubans and, I believe, Dominicans tend to cut off the endings of words. I'm not sure if Levy is doing this because it's his native tongue or just has always had poor diction. But ITA on having a hard time understanding him.

I'll be watching this week and, maybe, putting up very brief recaps.

Also, Beth, I am baffled about El Conde. I've googled and googled and can't find anything. What I did find seemed to indicate that it finished filming in 2022. I have no idea why they put Vuelve a Mí into the schedule and not El Conde.

vuelve

Thanks very much, novelera, for recapping the TWO-HOUR start to Vuelve a Mí. I've got a lot on my plate right now, and especially since I'm definitely not a William Levy fan, I decided not to watch this one.

I too am surprised and disappointed that there's no sign of El Conde.

Vuelve

Yeah, I was also wondering about El Conde. The schedule of both Telemundo and Univisión lately is weird.

Thanks for volunteering to recap the first week, novelera.

Susan, I am not watching Eternamente, but I googled the actors. They're different kids.

Vuelve

They crammed a lot of background into the first two hours. I would have preferred El Conde too, but this will do since it’s been awhile since I’ve watched and my Spanish needs help. And I want Andres on my team. That is one very resourceful 7-year old.

K

vuelve

Welcome, K. I haven't seen you here on Telemundo Central. Maybe you formerly posted on the Univision pages.

Vuelve

Novelera- I’ve been here under Kelly but was too lazy to type the whole entire name. Good thing I don’t have a super traditional mexican name! Looking forward to watching again. I gave up on the El Senors after season three or so and haven’t gotten in to the Turkish stories, except the one with all the tiaras (LanSultana?). I’m all in for the tiaras.

#2 - Part 1 of 2

The guy who apparently did hit Andrés picks him up and puts him in the back seat of his car. He found blood by the boy's head. His name is Diego.

Martha, who’s getting on my last nerve, keeps pushing Amelia to overlook Braulio’s aventura. Amelia asks if she’d give the same advice to a daughter, which, for some reason, hits home.

Jairo, the disgusting foreman at the factory overhears Braulio confessing to Gerardo, the plant manager, about Nuria, his lies about only being an accountant, and that he’s single. We see Jairo grin.

Some motherly woman, perhaps a neighbor, comforts Nuria.

Diego brings Andrés to the hospital. Like so many in this novela, he lies. He doesn’t say he was the one who hit the boy.

The thugs return while Consuelo is with Fausto in his garage…home…whatever it is. They’re looking for the money. Like all thugs, they leer at Consuelo.

Santiago finds Orozco, the guy whose photo the hacker gave Santi at the bar. He chases him for a loooong time.

Jairo tells a receptionist at the factory about Braulio and Nuria as a parting gesture.

Braulio comes to Nuria’s house, and she tells him what happened.

We get some more of Martha trying to “work” Amalia. FF>>

Orozco swears to Santiago that he didn’t want to “declare” against him. I’d have a better idea of what went on in this conversation if Levy would speak clearly. What I gleaned is that Orozco and the main sicario shot at the car that Alicia and Fabián were in. Orozco said that someone at Grupo Zepeda paid for the hit.

The thugs hint that Consuelo could pay off the debt. Then Fausto is dragged off. Blondie threatens Consuelo when she’s speaking with Nuria on the phone.

Amelia tells Santiago that she’s going to divorce Braulio.

Diego’s day gets worse. He hasn’t paid…something, and they lock up his fine art store.

Martha has a secret, some baby booties she’s locked away. Aida, the supportive housekeeper every novela must have, knows about this secret.

#2 - Part 2 of 2

Braulio throws his weight around at the police station. There’s one break in the case. It seems that the guy who was trying to get Braulio to pull over because he saw Andrés has described the driver. Consuelo is shown a drawing resembling Blondie, but she says she doesn’t know him. [I am SO over Consuelo and may have to FF>> through all the upcoming scenes where she continues to protect Fausto and looks anguished every time her sister looks at her.]

Diego’s wife, Celia, is packing her stuff into a taxi and leaving him when he comes home. She's taken their baby. From the looks of her, I think he’s better off.

Fausto is pressuring Consuelo to keep quiet. She tells him about the police sketch of Blondie. He muses that maybe this isn’t so bad.

Andrés wakes up. And, of course, this would be a very short novela if he could remember his name or his mother’s name. He does not.

Diego is about to swallow some pills when the hospital calls.

We meet a new character, Eliana. She’s the godchild of Roberto and Martha. She’s also in marketing at Grupo Zepeda and has just returned from Europe. From what I gathered from the conversations, it looks like she’s the stereotypical rich girl who’s crazy about Santiago. There has to be one, right?

Diego and Andrés bond. Diego says that Andrés also saved HIS life. I presume because he did not take the pills.

Nuria is in the hotel lobby waiting for Braulio to change clothes or something. Amalia is waiting for him. She doesn’t see Nuria but says he has to look her in the eye. He swears there’s no other woman, and she kisses him.

Consuelo sure knows how to pick ‘em. Fausto tells Blondie that, if they do find Andrés, they’ll finish selling him. And, if not, they’ll get some other kid.

Nuria and Santiago again meet in the lobby. He gives her the bracelet, and we get the usual frozen screen and stunned faces as they look at each other. How many times have we seen these scenes of protagonists accidentally meeting each other, guys?

The cops grab up Blondie in a bar for the kidnapping of Andrés García. We see Fausto looking on.

Secrets #94 part 1

Grandpa Merdan and Defne conspire to keep Ilgaz out of Metin’s place. He locks the door and shuts the lights, she takes Metin’s phone.

Eren gets ready to go home. He asks Ceylin if she wants him to stay. No need she says, he should go home to Tugce. The Kaya family (retired cop, big hearted grandpa, and the great DA, Ilgaz) has got my back, she tells him.

Ceylin sits on the couch. There’s Ilgaz’s sweater, she takes a sniff, just like she did the first time she came to stay at his house. She snuggles up on the couch with the sweater and closes her eyes.

Grandpa’s plan worked. Ilgaz enters the house. What happened, Ceylin asks, weren’t you staying downstairs? I couldn’t get in, Ilgaz replies, and Dad didn’t answer my call. I couldn’t find the spare key. And everyone is sleeping.

Ceylin is not pleased, he promised. What should I do, he asks, sleep in the car? We will both stay here like civilized adults. He tells her to take the bedroom. She’d rather stay on the couch, she’s already made herself comfortable there.

They start arguing about it. Ilgaz tries to take her hand and calls her stubborn. Ceylin shouts, let me go! You’re the stubborn one! And controlling! Allah Aşkına, you want to control everything and everyone! Life, people, me! You want to control our behavior. [she has a point.] I’m an adult, and I can decide where I want to sleep.

Ilgaz is at a loss. Ceylin explains, you lose it whenever anyone strays from your ideal vision. You’re intolerant. I’m going to sleep here. Then she says, why should I sleep here? I’m going to my office. Ilgaz is ticked, he tries to talk her out of it because it’s dangerous. Stay until the case is solved.

Ceylin puts on her coat. What’s wrong, she asks, you can’t control this, too? Now this lunatic came and is controlling you. This is your problem, not mine. She leaves.

There’s a creep factor when Ceylin enters her office. It’s cold, the windows are open and the curtains blow. She closes a window, looks around, and slowly walks to the other room. She’s at the window and sees Ilgaz’s car across the street. [not a surprise.] She whispers, Oh Ilgaz… He sees her at the window.

Ilgaz plays the radio. No, it’s not “Te Echo de Menos” by Ricardo Montaner…

Song: Bilir o Beni/She Knows Me - Pinhani
YouTube with translation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icnA6vypuN0

Ceylin can’t sleep. She goes out to the car. Ilgaz has dozed off. She knocks on the window. Are you going to protect me while you sleep? Come upstairs. He says there’s no need. They both give in. He gets out of the car. And someone comes along and plants a bomb on Ilgaz’s car!

Ceylin tells Ilgaz to stay in this room, she’s going to the bedroom. He stops her from going. He asks, is this the only reason you went to get me? Yes, she replies, so you wouldn’t sleep in the car. How kind, he says. Yes, she answers, I am… so you won’t freeze to death. He moves in and rests his head against hers and says, then hug me. While there’s a bomb on the car outside, passions explode inside the office.

It’s awkward in the morning. Ceylin says, “saçmaydı kabul edelim” –let’s admit this was stupid/ridiculous. He agrees. [By her look, maybe she hoped for a different answer.] She says, let’s forget this. Okay with him. She says, this can’t happen again, we’re getting divorced. He agrees again. She’s leaving, görüşürüz, savcım. Ilgaz replies, görüşürüz, avukat hanım. See you. Both are tortured by their feelings for each other.

Ceylin takes a taxi and Ilgaz takes his ticking time bomb.

secrets #94 part 2

Cinar comes to pass judgment on the thief. The guy pleads, I’m sorry, I swear… Cinar puts his hand up and sends his men out of the room. The guy starts pleading again. He’s got kids. Good kids. Let me go, please. Cinar says there are two options. One, I let you go, two I hand you to the police. And there’s another option, actually. You return every penny you stole. The thief says he can’t. He used it for rent. He adds, my son is sick, so we took him to the hospital.

Cinar replies, you’re going to pay it back because I got you a job. You’re going to work for me. You’re going to give me half your pay every month. And the other half… you’ll use to support your family. We’ll keep an eye on you while you pay your debt. Those are your options, choose one. The thief agrees to pay him back. Cinar warns, if you break the deal, I won’t stop the guys who beat you.

Ceylin comes to pick up Tolga in her brand new car. [that happened quickly!] The bride’s aunt was called to the station.

Eren greets Ilgaz with news. They found someone who uses sedatives—Aunt Sultan. She’s here.

The aunt is panicking. Why were they called back? Ferda’s mom and dad are there, too. They all go into Eren’s office. Ilgaz reviews that Ferda was killed, she was drugged. We identified the main active ingredient. We went over the guest list to find out who uses this drug. It’s an important step to find the killer. Sultan looks mighty nervous. Ilgaz continues, since this is a prescription, it was easy to find out who is using it. Eyes go to Sultan.

Sultan admits, I only gave her 2 pills. Hicran asks, what did you do? You gave Ferda pills? Arif asks, what pills did you give her? I did it so she would calm down, Sultan replies, so she wouldn’t do anything crazy. I swear I only gave her two.

Flashback. Ferda is texting with Ismail. He writes: take the first step, and I’ll give you the world. Don’t do this to us. Don’t be afraid. I’m waiting for you. Sultan comes into the room. She wants Ferda to take the pills. Ferda wants her help not to marry Selim, she doesn’t want to take the pills. She wants to leave. Sultan talks Ferda into taking the pills, while she finds a way to help her. Ferda swallows two pills with water. End flash.

Sultan recalls, she (Ferda) kept getting text messages and she wouldn’t stop crying. I thought she’d try to escape. I gave them to her so she’d calm down. Hicran shouts, did you kill her because I didn’t give her to you?! She makes a move towards Sultan—I’m going to kill you! Arif holds her back. Sultan sobs, Hicran, please! Eren shouts, enough!

Ilgaz asks everyone but Sultan to step outside. Hicran shouts at Sultan on the way out, I hope you die! You killed my daughter! Now that we are alone, Ilgaz tells Sultan, please be honest. How many pills did you give your niece? Sultan swears it was only two. And she didn’t leave the pills in the bride’s room.

Ceylin asks, are we sure that it’s the same pill? There are many pills that use the same ingredients. Ilgaz answers back, what gives you the right to ask that question, assistant to lawyer Tolga? Ceylin replies, it’s up to you to answer. I don’t care either way. If the drug that killed Ferda isn’t the same that Sultan takes, that makes a difference. Has everything been thoroughly analyzed? Is there evidence, DA Ilgaz?

Ilgaz responds, we can’t wave a magic wand and get our questions answered. Forensics is on the case. When they write their report, we can answer your questions. I won’t answer you, I’ll answer to Tolga.

secrets #94 part 3

Eren asks Hicran to clarify something she mentioned. What did you mean when you said Sultan couldn’t keep her? Hicran cries, that jealous bitch killed her! She’s infertile! Arif explains, Sultan couldn’t have children. She wanted a child since we had Ismet. She wanted to look after Ferda as if she were her own. Hicran wails, I hope you die, Sultan!

Arif continues, we were late on the house payments. They paid, so we agreed to the request. But when Ferda was born, Hicran wouldn’t give Ferda to them. I never agreed to it, Hicran exclaims, I never did! How could a mother give her child away?

Ilgaz asks Eren to bring Sultan to another room. He suggests that Ilgaz speak with Ferda’s mother again.

Pars and Derya arrive at the station. Pars gets the news about Aunt Sultan. Derya is there to meet with Rat-fet. She’s not looking forward to hearing any of his annoying jokes. Pars replies, all his jokes are bad… he’s rude and unprincipled.

We get a reminder that there’s a bomb underneath Ilgaz’s car.

Ilgaz updates Pars regarding Sultan. Ceylin interjects, are you saying that woman alone threw her into the sea? Eren says someone could have helped her. She gave her the pills. Ceylin says she admitted to only two pills, she could have denied it. This isn’t fair.
Anil comes in and says whatever Sultan gave Ferda, it wasn’t enough to kill her. Ceylin brings Ferda and Kenan the good news. Ferda didn’t die from Sultan’s pills. Sultan has something important she needs to tell Ceylin, but we don’t hear what it is.

There’s that car bomb again.

Ceylin brings Sultan’s info to Ilgaz and Pars. Ferda was given to Selim as a payment for a gambling debt. Selim’s father canceled Ismet’s gambling debt. That’s all she knows. Pars says they will look into the groom and his family. Ceylin says she has to go to a mediation session. Tolga can stay with the family.

Pars asks to speak with Ceylin outside before she leaves. Ilgaz is watching them from the window. Pars tells Ceylin he was very upset when he heard what happened. I owe you an apology. I didn’t think it was important, but that man got into your home. Pass my apology on to Parla. Ceylin tells him it’s fine. It’s over now. You said it’s part of the job.

Ceylin goes over to speak with Derya. She’s afraid to ask her friend if she decided. Derya smiles and reminds her, you promised you’d always be by my side. Ceylin asks, did you tell him? Not yet, Derya replies, I’ll tell him when we leave.

Metin enters the lot and heads over to Pars. We received your wedding invitation, Metin says, may God complete it. Sağ ol, Metin Baba, Pars replies, I’d like to talk to you if you are available. Uh, oh… Pars turns and smiles at Derya, who smiles back. Pars and Metin walk past the car bomb. Ilgaz is watching from the window. Derya looks so happy and so does Ceylin.

There’s a close up on the bomb and… BOOM! The explosion rocks the lot and shatters windows in the station. People duck for cover.

Derya screams for Pars. Ilgaz shouts for his father. Officers rush outside. Ilgaz goes to his father. Eren goes to Pars. Both are unconscious. Call an ambulance! Secure the perimeter! Poor Derya, she can’t believe this is happening.

secrets #94 part 4

Cut to a newscast across from the station. There was a huge explosion in the police station lot. The explosion originated from a car that belonged to DA Ilgaz Kaya. Although we don’t have notice of the number of dead or injured, we’ve been told that 5 ambulances were filled and headed to the hospital.

We were told that retired officer, Metin Kaya, and Pars Seckin, current AG, were among those hospitalized. No official statement has been made. Antiterrorism units and bomb experts are at the scene. We are not sure if this is a terrorist attack or something else.

Selim and Hakki are at Tilmen Law Office. Hakki says, we are innocent. We’ve never set foot in a courthouse. Why kill a girl we planned to welcome into the family? Yekta says, you’re not familiar with DA Ilgaz. He’s always on everyone’s case. He’s in charge of finding a culprit and he labels everyone a culprit. Omer is watching everyone carefully.

Hakki asks, is that how it is? Let’s handle this. Yekta replies, you’ve made a wise choice. I’ll get you out of this mess. Don’t worry. Let’s go to the station. You can sign the POA on the way.

Merdan gets a call to turn on the TV. He sees the news report that says Metin and Pars were hospitalized. He rushes out of the house and to the front gate. His monitor beeps. Damn the monitor, Merdan takes off down the street.

Ceylin is with Derya at the hospital. Derya’s shoulder was dislocated by the blast. She has to wear a sling for 3 weeks. I said this was bad, she tells Ceylin, I haven’t slept in days and I can’t stop crying. I knew it. Don’t do this, Derya, Ceylin replies, think of your baby. Nothing is going to happen to anyone. [wait, didn’t something just happen?]

It was just like that day, Derya says, something happened just as I was going to break the news. I know I won’t have a family of my own. Ceylin tries to assure her everyone will be fine. Let’s get some fresh air. Derya heads over to the “Müşahede Alani” Observation Area door and demands, give me an update! He’s been in there for hours! She bangs on the door—Pars! She’s hysterical. Ceylin moves her away and tries to keep her calm.

Ridvan and Ozge show up. They stay with Derya while Ceylin tries to get some info.

On the way out, Yekta, Omer and clients see the news report about the explosion. Yekta is shocked. He asks Aysun, was it a terrorist attack? She says DA Ilgaz’s car was blown up outside the station. Yekta is stunned and asks, was he inside the car? Thank God, he wasn’t, Aysun answers. Metin Kaya and Pars Seckin were near the car, but we don’t know if they are dead or injured. Ayten looks very worried.

Uh, oh, Omer’s got a weird look on his face…. Yekta looks at Selim and then shifts his eyes to Omer… Did Omer plant that bomb?

And we are out!

Vuelve/El Conde

Hi, Folks! I hardly ever post to the Telemundo page, or even to the Univision pages since La mexicana y el güero finished, but I have been looking here from time to time hoping to see some news about El Conde.

Elsewhere, I don't remember exactly where, I saw that El Conde should air late 2023 or early 2024. Why such a loooong delay? I have no idea. Hard to believe they would never show it though.

I did take a look at Vuelve. A 15 minute look, which was more than enough to convince me I would not care for it. A bit too dark for me.

Yet I think I might like to watch a TN about some guy unjustly imprisoned in solitary for a couple of decades.

I would otherwise be in a big hurry to schedule another appointment with my therapist, but El Conde does have some redeeming eye candy: Ana Brenda Contreras, Marjorie De Sousa, et al.

Andy

Vuelve

Novelera, thanks for the recaps.

I watched a bit and little Andres sure has spunk. But now he's got amnesia. Drat.

Susan, Andres played the kid in Mi Fortuna es Amarte who was frightened by the loca that kept threatening him and chasing his dad.

Andy, nice to see you here.

Fueled
Niecie, yes, I got a closer look at the little boy and realized he was the kid from that show and also " Mi Camino.'

Nove!era, I think Blondie's name is Tenencio.

OT...I have been watching " Amor Prohibido.". Wow. Lots going on in that one.

Andy, hi. No idea where they are hiding El Conde.

Secrets

Dondi, fantastic recap.

Ilgaz has dozed off. She knocks on the window. Are you going to protect me while you sleep?

Lol. These two are so cute together.

While there’s a bomb on the car outside, passions explode inside the office.

I'll say! Finally.

I won’t answer you, I’ll answer to Tolga.

Loved it.

So who bombed Ilgaz's car? Who would believe the death of Ilgaz or its attempt would cause the DA's office to back off the case? Who would fake a gas leak repairman at Ceylin's family's home? Creepy Omer? Why does no one notice the guy tailing everyone. Cinar, I'm looking at you since you're now in grandpa's chair. I hope they solve the mystery this season.

Secrets

Thank you, dondi356.

Ceylin and Ilgaz can't be together and can't be apart. [By her look, maybe she hoped for a different answer.] Or not so quickly. I thought they would start arguing again.

Cinar takes the role of the boss. Not very convincing.

The case slowly advances. "Ferda was given to Selim as a payment for a gambling debt." Gets darker every time. Ismet was very interested in this wedding.

Thanks for the song link. "Ilgaz plays the radio. No, it’s not “Te Echo de Menos” by Ricardo Montaner…" - funny.

OT Amor prohibido
Susan, I have been watching this, but I’m not sure I can continue. I had just rewatched Fatmagul when AP started. I was fascinated at the breadth of the actress’s talent to play such different characters. But, it is such a downer to see all these lives getting messed up that I don’t know if i can continue. The actors, scenery, etc, are top notch. What a tale. But I need someone to root for, and everyone is so flawed snd making big mistakes. A train wreck in progress. I am interested in your take. Often the caray group helps with difficult stories, but this one is not being discussed.

Love the song links! Thank you for all of the recaps, too!

Vuelve + OT

Thanks novelera, for the great recap!

Nooo, amnesia? This early?

By the way, does anyone remember La Mujer de mi Vida? I'm pretty sure I've been waiting for this since March 2022. Yikes.

secrets

Thanks again, dondi. These two! Why wouldn't Ilgaz just leave her on the sofa and go to bed. Maybe there wouldn't have been a bomb under his car.

Did anyone else notice that in one of the scenes where they showed the unexploded bomb under the car the very next scene had a commercial with a huge explosion, perhaps an ad for a movie I'll never go see?

That Hicran is SO awful. She didn't do anything to protect her child from a forced marriage, but she rages at her sister who was trying to help.

These are just ghastly people. So the worthless son's gambling debt is paid and their daughter settles that debt. And they haven't shown Selim the least bit eager to marry the girl.

I'm noticing a pattern. Whenever a character says they're just about to do something they've been putting off, disaster strikes.

Poor Derya. She already had PTSD from the death of her husband and subsequent miscarriage from shock. Now she's barely enjoyed her relationship with Pars and who knows if he'll survive. I hope he does.

I saw the significant look, but I can't see what Omer would gain from blowing up Ilgaz. It seemed to me that Yekta wasn't retained by the groom's family until after we saw the bomb being placed. And Omer's dire deeds seem to be related to enhancing the Tilman law firm. Also, Yekta's real animus has been toward Ceylin, not so much Ilgaz.

#3

I said I’d finish the week with recaps, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of interest in recapping, nor even many comments. So, I’ll keep my word, but the recaps will be quick and dirty.

Amalia could tell from Braulio’s kiss that it’s over. After trying for a while to deny it, he admits to loving another woman.

Jacinto, the good cop, tells Consuelo that they have caught Tenencio (aka Blondie).

Fausto is bad to the bone. He calls on some old cop friend (probably also corrupt) to get to see Blondie. [Sorry, I prefer Blondie to Tenencio.] Fausto manages to get him to keep quiet.

We see that Liana’s parents died in a car crash that she feels is her fault. Looks like she waved a Rubic’s Cube in front of her father to distract him.

Santiago tells Braulio that he betrayed a fine woman. He also tells him about learning that someone from the family firm may have been involved in the murder he was accused of. Hmmm. I’m thinking he should have kept quiet; Braulio looks like Suspect #1 to me.

Diego shows his skills drawing Andrés.

Fausto is a complete jerk. He’s insulting Jacinto about progress on the case. There would be no case if it weren’t for him. Jacinto backs him off a bit by saying that he’s aware Fausto knows Blondie. Fausto also hints to Consuelo that she needs to keep quiet because she’s now also guilty of the kidnapping.

Nuria wants to go confront Blondie. Jacinto says it’s not possible, but Fausto sees Braulio bribe the cop so she can do so. Blondie tells Nuria that Andrés is in el gabacho (the U.S.).

Martha and Aida talk about the baby I think Martha gave up before she met Roberto.

Diego tries to help Andrés (aka Juan) to remember the street where he was hit.

Some sleazy looking guy comes for the rent. Nuria is 4 months past due. Braulio catches up with him and pays, I think, more than is due. Fausto looks on.

Valentin, Amalia’s father, has come to comfort his daughter. Martha inserts herself with the yada yada about couples having problems and getting over them. Valentin does agree to wait a bit; but, if Amalia divorces Braulio, he’s selling his shares in Grupo Zepeda.

Santiago comes to the prison to tell Chema about having delivered his letter and that Violeta still doesn’t want to see her father. Santiago tells Chema that he’s looking for one Caras, the other assassin.

Evil Flavio is, of course, buddies with Evil Jairo. They get together and we see why Jairo eavesdropped on Brauio’s conversation with Gerardo about Braulio being married.

Flavio surprised me. Instead of trying to get money out of Braulio to keep quiet, he finds pictures of Braulio’s wedding on the internet and that he’s a Zepeda. Nuria tells Braulio she never wants to lay eyes on him again.

Some guys on a motorcycle take shots at Santiago and miss.

"VUELVE":
Novelera: Enjoying your recaps of this intriguing Telenovela so far. Keep up the good work!

VUELVE

Thank you for the great recap Novelera. I haven't been following any Telemundo novelas for a while now but something or in this case someone; William Levy made me tune in and so far I don't regret tuning in.

My thoughts so far after three episodes...Consuelo is the worst of the worst to be doing this to a sister who has been more like a mother to her. Who carries a vendetta of attention-seeking against a child?? For crying out loud!! Also, I think Braulio might be worse than we think he is now. I won't be surprised if he is revealed to be the mastermind behind Santiago's imprisonment later in the series.

Another thing I don't seem to understand is Marta's dislike of Santiago and her insistence that Amalia stay in a loveless marriage. The lady wants to leave, let her go!! Regarding the daughter she gave up my novela theory senses are already tingling and I'm feeling Nuria could be that daughter but that would make Braulio her half-brother. I hope they didn't sleep together in their 6-month relationship.

In other novela theory tingling news, I'm sensing a pairing of Amalia and kind Diego who is now taking care of Andres. Just a thought, it would be nice if they got together. That's all I have to say for now.

secrets

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

“Lol. These two are so cute together.” Only sometimes, Niecie (my opinion, YMMV). They are a volatile couple. And hot, hot, hot when they wanna be.

Cinar has a long way to go to fill Grandpa’s shoes.

Lucio: ‘"Ilgaz plays the radio. No, it’s not “Te Echo de Menos” by Ricardo Montaner…" - funny.’ What would be even funnier is if Te Echo de Menos was really on the radio. It’s a beautiful song but I’m getting sick of hearing it.

novelera: “Why wouldn't Ilgaz just leave her on the sofa and go to bed.” Ceylin answered this for us—he’s a control freak and he’s always right. I enjoyed her telling him off.

Maybe Omer’s look was not a guilty one, but that he’s figured out something. We will see. But I do think he’s capable of murder.

OT....Babachita... I wasn't going to watch AP, but i loved Fatmagul and Beren Saat. I gave up after a few episodes, but then I went back. I love the mansion, clothes, jewelry. I dont understand much of the dialogue , but I can figure some things out through the visual. I read the Wikipedia page in English. I could tell the mother was a greedy, entitled witch who wanted to marry Adnan and that Bitter married him to spite her . I knew the nephew was a playboy who had dated Bittar's sister. Thesisters father in law hates her mother for some reason. After the accident ,the mother moved in and that was going to be trouble . She wants to be queen of that house. The governess is also in love with Adnan ,who seems to be a good guy . With all those people in that house ,you know there is going to be drama. I thought Bitter was supposed to be a nice person , but then she fired all the servants and that made Adnan angry . I suppose he is also angry because she is pregnant but doesn't want the baby. I dont know if she had the abortion or is still pregnant . After locking him out of their bedroom, her mother scolded her and now B is trying to get him to forgive her,but he still seems angry.

Vuelve

Novelera, thank you for an excellent recap . I am trying to sort out all the characters and storylines. We all seem to already hate pouty Consuela. I have Seen Braulio in a lot of telenovelas.
