So where did the money Ilgaz is accused of getting as bribes (sobornos) come from in the first place? We know it was Omer but is the money supposed to be only on paper? If it was sent to Cinar, Merdan, and Metin, can they go to the bank and withdraw it? How could Omer have come up with all that money?

As was said before, I love Ceylin putting aside her feelings and rolling up her sleeves to defend Ilgaz. Even though this out-of-town DA tried to insist she had to file something first. This guy has a way bigger stick than Ilgaz where the sun doesn't shine.

Eren and Ceylin immediately blame Yekta for the frame-up and are furious. Ceylin tells Eren that she won't do anything dishonest to save Ilgaz. We see a tender moment between Ilcey when he's inside the cell and she's just outside.

Turgut tells Sr. Zealot to look into the warehouse where antiquities were stored. We see Hilmi flee the country.

The usual tech guy is assigned to look online for everything about Ilgaz, and he finds a cryptocurrency account.

Ilgaz paces in his cell and remembers his visit to Lacin's house. He remembers his phone being on a table while he agreed to the deal proposed by Yekta to help Hilmi in exchange for the name of the assassin.

Eren comes to see Yekta. He accuses him of setting ilgaz up. Yekta swears he didn't do it. Eren threatens to strangle Yekta, throw him out a window, and make the case that there was a crime and Yekta had resisted arrest. Yekta's bombast disappears.

Yekta figures it out and confronts Omer. He's furious. He tells Omer he remembers his saying he was imagining a universe without Ilgaz. He's furious Omer did it behind his back. Omer doesn't turn a hair, tries to act like Ilgaz may be guilty. Then he calls someone, probably Eyup.

The guards outside the courthouse cell really respect Ilgaz, who nobly tells them to do their jobs.

Yekta finds out that Hilmi split. Then he takes Ayten aside and asks her to spy on Omer.

Ceylin and Ozgen (stick in place DA) show up at Ilgaz's home. M&M (Metin and Merdan) are baffled. Ceylin sees the antique figurine. Her fingers twitch but she resists taking it. Ozgen is visibly smug and happy to have taken it. Seems that's all he wanted in his search.

Turgut seems more and more convinced of Ilgaz's guilt. We see a face time call with a young woman and a child in a crib. [daughter and grandchild or cradle robbing DA?]

Metin reminds Merdan that Yekta and Omer were in their home (to possibly place the figurine?)

Merdan tells Metin about Tugce's suspicions about Eyup. And Eyup also was in their home.

Ceylin meets with Ilgaz and tells him about the hour before the replacement guards/cops showed up after Ilgaz relieved the first set. This is when the warehouse was emptied, making Ilgaz look guilty.

Turgut has come to speak with Ilgaz. Ilgaz defends himself, but Turgut now seems convinced of his guilt. Later Turgut tells Ceylin that Ilgaz will be moved to prison to await trial.

Ceylin sees Yekta in the hall and chokes him (really unconscious or faking?)

I'm wondering, too, where Omer got the money.

Lol, DA Ozcan: “This guy has a way bigger stick than Ilgaz where the sun doesn't shine.”

Yekta is furious with Omer. It’s only about covering his own butt.

I'm glad that Ilgaz remembers the phones on the table. And Merdan's been clued in to Eyup.

Wondering how that little girl in the crib will figure into the story. Will she be a reason for Turgut to make a mistake?

“Then he takes Ayten aside and asks her to spy on Omer.” Now I’m afraid something bad will happen to Ayten. Then what happens to little Gorkem?

I am ticked with Telemundo/nbc. There's been a big delay recently in posting the eps online. They used to post shortly after midnight ET. I'm not always able to watch live and/or record. This interferes with my ability to get a timely recap up. I don't want to dump the responsibility on anyone else. Just know that I will be behind for a while.

Just a few thoughts on recent events.

Santiago and Nuria get it on again. She hints he's done something she's never experienced before (!!) Will we see the stereotypical (meaning I've seen it dozens of times) thing where poor girl gets pregnant by rich boy, finds out something bad about him, and avoids him until the last two weeks.

Idiot Chalo gets drunk, beds Eugenia, and puts her in the "friend zone" the following morning. More hints of Rae's daughter having a thing for Euge. Will we see Euge "change teams"?

I can't believe Rosendo had Nuria move those apparently heavy boxes to a high shelf. Guess they don't have workers comp in Mexico. And he'd get the pants sued off him for that in the U.S. And, of course, they try to fake us out by Nuria looking unconscious after Liana shoved her off the ladder. And, of course, she doesn't remember someone grabbing her leg.

Braulio is definitely too narcissistic to be a father. And Andres/Juanita pours gas on the fire by saying he wanted Diego as his father. Braulio is messing up his plan to keep Amelia happy by telling the kid he's too old for bedtime stories. Does he think the kid will keep quiet for him?

Liana finds out Nuria was the one Braulio has the hots for. Pretty sure she'll out that and pretty darn quick. And Tigre's plan is to pit the Zepeda brothers against each other and bring them both down.

And they're dragging on the Jacinto/Fausto/Consuelo conflict for 3 episodes. Sheesh! I'm sick to death of this story line of her continuing to stay with the monster. And I doubt Jacinto is going to be killed off yet.

I agree with all your points though. Obviously Santi is much more experienced in the love making dept seeing how , it seems, that Nuria only slept with Andres’ papi——-as far as we know. Wonder if he’ll be making an appearance at some point??

Lianna is cray-cray and weirdly appears to be comfortable with killing off people to get what she wants. What happened to her as a child following her parents death? I hate seeing beautiful career women act this way! It’s so pathetic! And I hope she does tell Santi——the sooner the better!

I’m TOTALLY sick of Chelo/Fausto/ Jacinto! Chelo needs to grow some cause whether she cries or stands up to Fausto, the result is the same. Get tough girl! Fight for yourself and your man if you really do love him! Fausto would definitely have to watch his back cause I’d be throwing everything in that house at his head! Sheesh she’s making me hurl!

Braulio is a whining, selfish, childish, insecure pussy man-boy! He is jealous of everything and everybody. He will truly have a meltdown tantrum, when he finds out that Santi——once again—— has bested him. My eyes roll all the time when he has a scene with anybody.

Diego and Amelia are cute trying to maintain their distance. Lovely pic he drew of her.

Chalo is another simpering man/boy. Nuria don’t want you! Just stop it!!

Too funny Susan! “ Two dim bulbs just one video apart!” Hahaha! And he does need to change that shirt! He does have a job, tho. I think he’s like an Uber driver or something along those lines. I forget exactly. It was very and I mean VERY low of him to use Eugenia like that. Everybody always blames it on the alcohol or some such other nonsensical reason.

Unfortunately, Ceylin imagined choking Yekta. Maybe that’s for the best since she needs to stay out of jail to help Ilgaz.

Yekta is questioned by Turgut with DA Ozcan in the room. Is it true Hilmi Yozba and Ilgaz Kaya met in your home? Yekta admits it and says he was just the messenger—I wanted to help find the hitmen and AG Pars’ killer. It was in the service of justice.

Turgut asks, was making an illegal offer to a DA part of that? Never! I simply delivered the message of Hilmi’s desire to meet, Yekta replies, and Ilgaz agreed. Hilmi asked Ilgaz to remove the police for 2 days so he could move his goods and DA Ilgaz refused. But then, I think he called back and agreed to it. He even sent the police away.

Is this how you serve justice, Turgut asks. Yekta says he’s only telling what happened. Turgut tells Yekta he should have reported this immediately. Don’t try to play innocent, he warns. Yekta admits that was a mistake. He adds, but everyone knows DA Ilgaz never makes mistakes. I figured he had another plan to catch the criminals and I’d ruin it by reporting. Everyone knows Ilgaz is an honest person.

Ozcan says, there was only one plan, and we haven’t broken it yet. Ilgaz sent the police and the antiques were moved. Yekta feigns surprise. Ozcan continues, Hilmi offered Ilgaz money. How much did they agree on?

Yekta says he didn’t witness negotiations or an exchange of money. He reiterates he only got the parties together. Turgut asks Yekta why he did this. Yekta replies, because I’m a lawyer. [he left out: without a license to practice.] I’m serving the justice system.

Ceylin tells Ilgaz that in the time between one police team left and the other arrived, the warehouse was emptied. It seems like you planned it and the evidence points to you. Ilgaz asks, why were the officers late? Ceylin notes that the teams immediately followed orders and Beylikuzu is far. It may look like miscommunication, but it points to you. Ilgaz asks if Yekta has testified. He’s with Turgut now, Ceyin replies. He told Eren he knows nothing, but he’s obviously lying.

Ilgaz tells Ceylin about placing his phone on the table. Omer left the room and then he returned. He probably took my phone and installed the app. Do you think Yekta planted the relic at home, Ceylin asks. Ilgaz thinks it’s possible. He could have left it when I walked you to the bedroom. But we would have seen it.

Ilgaz asks, were they able to track the relics in the warehouse? Turgut said they couldn’t, she replies, or maybe he’s keeping something from me. Ilgaz says they need to find the relics. We need to catch whoever orchestrated this so we can reveal the truth. I wish you were free, Ceylin says. I will be, Ilgaz answers. Don’t be sad. I’ll probably go before the judge tomorrow, but I won’t be arrested. We will find them and be free of this.

Tugce is pulled out of class to meet with Metin. He tells her about the relic that was planted at the house. He asks her for info on Eyup. Tugce exclaims she was right. Metin asks, why don’t you like him? Who is he? Tugce explains how he showed up out of nowhere and won Cinar over. Maybe he’s a thief or a bum! She calms herself down and continues, with all respect… I’m sure Cinar means well, but sadly, he’s a big fool. [LOL!]

Ceylin steals a knife from a vendor in the park across from the courthouse. Yekta gets in his car and tells Ozgur to take him to the office. Ceylin hops in the backseat and holds the knife to Yekta’s throat. Is this a joke, Yekta asks. Ozgur looks very confused.

Yekta orders Ozgur to drive and do what Ceylin says. He asks Ceylin to put the knife down so they can talk. Ceylin wants to go for a short ride and then come back so Yekta can confess to Turgut. I didn’t do anything, Yekta replies. This isn’t a joke. Read my statement. I said everything I know.

Ceylin keeps the knife on Yekta’s throat. I know you did this! You planned everything! DA Ozcan and AG Turgut will figure it out and realize Ilgaz is innocent. I swear on my life, Yekta says, may lightning strike if I’m lying, I told them everything. I told them there was no money or bribes. I testified in favor of Ilgaz. She accuses him of lying.

Yekta blurts—it wasn’t me, it was Omer! He planned everything! I know my enemy. I know you. I’m not stupid enough to look to get myself killed… and it almost happened twice today. I’m not as evil as you think. I have some principles [principally self-preservation.] And I have honor [?], but Omer doesn’t. He planned everything.

I forgot that Yekta Tilmen doesn’t know how to love, Ceylin says. I thought you cared about Omer but you decided to destroy him. Now you’re handing him over. Yekta replies, I was willing to love him but Omer is a dangerous person. He’s a psychopath! He’s unpredictable. He’s sick! He set this up, he fooled us all, and I’ll prove it to you! Give me time to find the evidence.

Ceylin asks, why should I believe you? Because I’m scared, Yekta shouts, I’m scared! Omer is too powerful! He’s out of control! You’re in danger and I am too. Let me prove it to you. Let me help you save Ilgaz. Ozgur stops the car and Ceylin gets out. She tosses the knife in a dumpster.

Turgut asks Ozcan if Ilgaz’s tablet and computers are being examined. Yes. Derya comes to see Turgut. He apologizes for not coming to the funeral. I know Ilgaz was detained, she says. Turgut asks Ozcan to excuse himself from the room. Derya asks, why was Ilgaz detained? It must be a misunderstanding. Turgut tells her it’s serious. Ilgaz abused his position and accepted bribes. He’s accused of belonging to a criminal organization. Derya says that’s impossible. We are talking about Ilgaz.

Metin shows up at the pool hall. He wants to talk to Eyup. Cinar wants to know what happened. Metin asks, where is Eyup? Cinar takes Metin to the back to find him. Surprise… it looks like Eyup has cleared out. Metin thinks Eyup fled. Cinar calls another worker. Where’s Eyup? The guy says Eyup packed his bag and left while Cinar was away. He didn’t say where he was going. I thought you knew.

Metin shakes his head at Cinar. Why are you like this? What did I do now, Cinar asks. Why do you bring strangers into your inner circle, Metin replies. Tell me about that man. Who is he? Where is he from? Cinar wonders why that matters. I don’t care where he’s from, he says, he helped find Defne.

Metin is ticked. If he’s such a good guy, let him work for a charity! Did you have to bring him into our lives? Cinar doesn’t think it’s a big deal. Metin puts it together for Cinar. He had a plan. He moved in with you. He set up Ilgaz and then took off. Your friend is a real angel!

Cinar still doesn’t understand, he wants a better explanation. Metin tells him Ilgaz has been detained. Two strangers came into our house, one of them was your friend. Cinar says he didn’t come in. He dropped off money and left. Did you walk him to the gate, Metin asks. No. Then who knows what he did, Metin replies, maybe he went upstairs without you knowing! Metin storms out.

Cinar runs to the cash register and opens it. We get a flashback. Eyup opens the register and pockets a key, “Abim ev” – my brother’s house. He tells the worker he’s taking money to Cinar. End flash. Cinar realizes he’s been had once again.

A courier arrives at Tilmen Law with a package for Omer. It’s Eyup. He tells Aysun and Ayten he needs to deliver it personally so he can upload a code into the system. Eyup heads to Omer’s office. Ayten questions this special code thing. Aysun jokes, let Yekta Junior handle it.

Eyup emerges from the office, still carrying the package. Ayten stops him at the elevator. Why didn’t you deliver the package? The warehouse must have made a mistake, he replies. This package is meant for another Omer. Thanks for asking, but I have to go. Ayten is very suspicious.

Rafet shares his opinions with Eren. He says none of this makes sense. DA Ilgaz was hard at work before our eyes. What does he have to do with these relics? Ratfet continues, I am sorry. You two always ate together. May God give you patience, komiser. This must be difficult for you. Eren can only mutter a thank you.

Ceylin comes to Eren’s office. Rafet tells her he heard about Ilgaz and that he hopes it is resolved quickly. He’ll do anything to help Bla, bla, bla. [He helps us all by leaving the room.]

What did you learn at Contraband, Ceylin asks. Eren hands over a document. It looks like Ilgaz opened an account and had money transferred from there. It doesn’t look good. She worries, Turgut could push for his arrest. What can we do, Eren asks, how can we stop this? Did you read Yekta’s statement? No, she replies, but he said he testified in Ilgaz’s favor.

Allah aşkına, don’t tell me you believed him, Eren exclaims. He said Omer did this and he’d prove it, Ceylin replies. Eren doesn’t believe this. Robot boy did it while that dog slept? Forget that! Ceylin doesn’t know what to think. We were saying goodbye to Pars. We left Derya alone. We haven’t been able to grieve and bury to our friend. Why do we have to suffer like this?

I don’t know, Eren answers. But I know one thing, whoever did this to us won’t leave this world without experiencing the pain we’ve experienced. Eren gets a text from Goksu. She checked Ilgaz’s signature on the transfer order.

Ozcan can’t think of a scenario where Ilgaz is not guilty. Turgut agrees it seems so and says, let’s send the file to the judge tomorrow so he can be arrested. We’ll meet with the judge, Ozcan says, we’ll explain the situation, and we’ll ensure that the initial hearing takes place soon. This is a terrible act of corruption. Turgut agrees again, but says they should rest a bit first.

Ilgaz looks at the funeral picture of Pars. [yes, I wish he were here, too.] Metin visits Ilgaz. He tears up at the sight of his son behind bars. I wish you hadn’t come here, Ilgaz says. I’ve been through a lot, Metin replies, I’ve suffered a lot. But I never thought I’d see you behind bars. My heart is shattered.

Ilgaz gets up and goes to the bars. Metin says, it’s harder to wait at home and leave my son on his own. It’s very difficult to sit there and think about you and worry. He reaches out to touch Ilgaz’s face. How are you? I don’t know, Ilgaz answers, I feel like I’m sinking, like I’m drowning. With great effort I take a breath, but then I sink to the bottom again and disappear.

You don’t become strong by always keeping you head held high, Metin says. Trials will make you stronger. I brought you something to cling to when you lose yourself. He hands Ilgaz a little photo album. Metin explains, when you first started to attend university, I said you would meet all different types of people and that you’d experience all sorts of emotions. There would be ups and downs. But I also said, never forget where you came from.

Ilgaz remembers that well. Metin continues, there are happy and hopeful memories in there. [Turkish] You are Ilgaz—clean and ethical. When you feel like you are losing yourself, look at those pictures and remember who you are. If you don’t forget. We’ll get through this hell. We’ll erase this stain, and it will be like nothing ever happened. Ceylin, Eren, Cinar, your grandfather and I will fight for you until our last breath. We will get through is with our heads held high.

Yekta asks an employee for a breakdown of every expense Omer has incurred. Taxi receipts, food, stationery, gifts, pens, pencils, books… everything!

Goksu says the papers match the ones from Ilgaz's printer. We can confirm that. Eren asks, what about the signature? Goksu says there are CNC machines that can forge signatures. This was probably done by one. Is it obvious that this was done by machine, Ceylin asks. Unfortunately, it isn’t, Goksu replies.

Anil speaks up, these are commercial machines, like 3D printers. They produce exactly what you tell it to do. We’ve seen these used in other cases, Goksu says. Anil adds, unfortunately the technology is so advanced that the pressure of the human hand becomes important, and the machine can mimic it. The takeaway is they can’t say this isn’t Ilgaz’s signature. Goksu says they couldn’t find fingerprints either. The person who did this did an impeccable job.

Eyup brings the package to an empty building and removes a machine from the box. He douses it with a liquid and creates a trail. He video calls Omer. Are you ready? Eyup starts the fire and shows it to Omer. Omer tells him to stay and make sure it totally burns. Eyup asks if he should collect the ashes.

Ayten tells Ceylin that Yekta and Omer are fighting. Is that a guess or a fact, Ceylin asks. It’s not a guess, Ayten answers. It’s tense between them. Your cop friend showed up and met with Yekta. I don’t know what they talked about, but Yekta started to shout and ask for Omer after he left. It got loud at first and sounded like they were arguing. Before he left the office, Yekta asked me to keep an eye on Omer. And he asked his accountant for a report on Omer’s expenses. He’s up to something but I’m not sure what it is.

Ceylin apologizes to Ayten for exposing her to this. Ayten is happy to help. Merdan’s requests are orders for me, she says. Ceylin asks if Yekta has pressured her. No, Ayten replies, it seems he trusts me now. He asked me to watch Omer. [and so she would report this to Ceylin.]

The accountant tells Yekta there were some small expenses, but there was a big acquisition. A high-tech CNC machine. Interesting. The accountant says he bought it for the company, not in his name. Great, Yekta exclaims, are there any other ridiculous expenses? Nothing outrageous, the accountant replies, but I did notice something interesting. Every Monday he buys a cake from a bakery in Etiler. It may not be important. Yekta asks what kind of cake. Banana cake.

Yekta calls Aysun and asks her if Omer brings in a cake or sweets on Mondays. No. Where is he right now, Yekta asks. He’s in the conference room with the rest of the team, Aysun replies. Yekta asks for the bakery address and the receipt for the CNC machine.

Yekta grabs his coat and bag and enters Omer’s office to snoop around. He spots a cable that was connected to something. I’m not sure what this is but it indicates something to Yekta. The accountant brings the address and receipt to Yekta.

Omer appears and surprises Yekta as he gets into the elevator. He gets amusing reprimand from his Yekta. Yekta quickly tucks his info into his inside pocket. Omer asks, are you going home, dad? I’m meeting with a friend, Yekta replies, avoiding Omer’s gaze. He tells Omer he can go home. [you know Omer suspects something.]

Yekta leaves the bakery wondering where Omer took the cake. Yekta passes a sign: Patient and Elderly Care Center. He heads there and speaks with a receptionist. Omer Tilmen… he used to come by every Monday. The woman says there’s no Tilmen on our list. Yekta thinks… try Omer Atamer. Yes, his mother is here—Esin Hanım. [wow!]

Yekta is stunned. The receptionist gives him a funny look and he has to make a quick recovery. Ah, oh… I’ve found Esin! Finally! I traveled all the way from Ankara to find her. I was scared I wouldn’t. The receptionist asks, you came from Ankara?

Yes, Yekta replies, and this is very exciting. Friendship knows no distance. We were very close. Can I see Esin now? She will be happy to see me. The receptionist says Esin was watching TV. Let’s check if Esin went back to her room. Yekta tries to process this shocking revelation.

The receptionist takes Yekta to Esin’s room. She explains that her Alzheimer’s has progressed rapidly and she may not recognize him. We see Esin sitting quietly in a chair facing the window. The woman calls out to her, Esin doesn’t respond. She forgets her name sometimes. You have a guest, Esin Hanım. The woman tells Yekta to go inside. Call if there is any trouble.

Yekta slowly approaches. Esin? No response. Yekta moves closer. Nothing.

And we are out.

Ohhhhh….still funny Susan! I hate spell check——-it gives a whole new meaning to things. Mauricio showed up I think in Friday’s or Monday’s episode. Strangely enough, Martha told Mauricio about their daughter in less than 10 minutes and wasn’t able to tell Roberto in all these years. One thing about Martha, she knows how to pick men with a head full of hair. Mauricio offered to look for their daughter with Martha, but she almost burst a blood vessel at the thought of it…….

I adore the scenes of Ceylin in the cell with Ilgaz. Metin's visit to his son was moving too.

I don't know where things will go with the fake Ilgaz signature, but maybe the CNC machine made the match too well. No two signatures should be exactly alike. At least I'm hoping Ceylin brings in an expert to make this point.

Thank you, Novelera for keeping us up to date! I am still battling this stupid cough that is so fond of me so I haven't had much energy for commenting.

When I heard Tigre's aunt say to kill all the Zepedas my first thought was I wonder if that includes Juandres?? My pet peeve in revenge plots is this whole I'll kill him and everyone related to him regardless if they were alive yet or not!!! Why take it out on innocent people? And that's setting aside the question of whether or not Roberto actually did it, which seems unlikely to me based on what we saw on him!

Kind of disappointed that Liana is already BSC, where's the buildup?? Kimberly dos Ramos does crazy well though.

I like Jacinto but we walking himself straight into this mess. He was no smarter about this than Chelo was. I don't think he's going to live and I don't think Chelo is smart enough to get free so we'll have a lot more of Chelo's plight with Fausto I'm sure, although I'm tired of it too!

I like Amelia more and more every episode. Imagine being terrified to lose the child you wanted for so long and finally received, but still not only looking for his family but facing it head-on, full speed ahead; because it's the right thing to do for the child!!! I admire that so much and I have high hopes for her and Diego, but I hope they don't rush into them getting involved. It would be nice to see them build a strong friendship and keep things platonic until Braulio blows up his marriage himself, as he will undoubtably do..
