VENCER LA CULPA #42/#43 Page one

Except for Everardo's death, I felt like I was in revolving door tonight.

YOO HOO!!! EVERARDO KICKS THE BUCKET!!!!

This was a welcome event especially after Amanda having cooked a meal for Everardo as he insisted, then him being an unhappy camper since it didn't taste like his mommy's food and him finally throwing it on the ground. He delighted in making Amanda clean up the mess his caused. Unfortunately for him, he has a heart attack and it looks like he falls into whatever was left on the ground that Amanda tried to clean up. An ambulance is called but in the meantime, the dying Everado cannot help himself but to make his "postrer adiós" (final farewell) to Amanda as nasty as possible. He wants her to know that at one time, he loved her in his own way but that turned inbto hate so even after he is dead, he will find ways to make sure she is never happy.

Earlier that day, Everardo called Leandro to tell him to have the notary call him because he wanted to change his will and write a letter to be read to his children and wife upon the event of his death.

Everardo's stay at the hospital is mercifully short for us and he dies. The notary schedules a very quick reading of the will. He tells an inquisitive Leandro that his father never changed the will nor did he notarize a letter for his father. Leandro is not pleased even though he doesn't know what the change or letter were about. He will not let it drop.

Tamara asks Nico for a divorce. He doesn't want one.

Tamara and Leandro are left inheritances that are far less than what they were expecting. Amanda ends up with the bulk of the inheritance. She doesn't want it. She tells her children that she wants them to have it all. Leandro tells her to take her time before making a decision. Nico doesn't miss a beat telling Amanda that he knows that Leandro isn't her son and he knows because Everardo used him to run the DNA tests on the family. Amanda will not be blackmailed by Nico. She has one offer for him. She will pay him a large quantity of money to leave her daughter and grandchildren and go far far away never to return. We have not heard his response.

MANUELA IS CAUGHT IN THE REVOLVING DOOR

First, Manuela is living at Leandro's when he throws a fit that she met with Pablo her LOVER. She insists Pablo is not her lover. He refuses to believe her. Leandro is ready to throw her out and make her leave the brat behind if Pablo isn't out of the picture. She offers to sleep with him in exchange for her freedom to leave and take the brat with her. (Where in the he** did she ever come up with that idea ??? Even Angeles is shocked and puzzled, in a later scene, when Manuela admits what she offered Leandro. ) Leandro acts offended, insulted and cannot believe what she has said. He is no common rapist and would never force anyone. Manuela leaves with the bags that he was packing for her. Angeles picks up the brat at school.Leandro goes BSC when he find out that the brat was picked up by Angeles. He goes to Angeles' house screaming that nobody but HE will pick up the brat at school. He catches himself and apologizes blaming his violent outburst on stress since his father just died. Manuela wants the brat to stay and live with her at Angeles' house. Leandro plays the pity card and the brat decides to go live with daddy dearest. When Leandro and the brat return to his apartment., Manuela is there to greet her daughter. She couldn't stand to not be with her. (REALLY?) The brat is overjoyed to see her.

PALOMA IS COMING AND GOING IN THE REVOLVING DOOR

Walter is doing all he can do to be a good friend and support to Paloma. She tells Tolita that she appreciates everything he is doing but still cannot get Franco out of her mind. Paloma tries to rehire Franco. He sees the offer being made out of sympathy, even though her supervisor approved it based on his excellent work, and nastily turns it and her down calling her a liar. He makes arranges to go back home but before he does, he runs into Paloma in their neighborhood. Franco tells her he is leaving and sees she has HIV info pamphlets with her. She says she needed to be better educated and thought the employees should be better educated as well. A day or two later, Franco appears at the company. He has decided to accept the job. He apologizes for having acted like a jerk. Unfortunately as he and Paloma are getting reacquainted, Walter walks in and sees their happy reunion.

EVERYTHING ELSE

Axel supports Yaneli against his uncle.

Yaneli is accompanied by Manuela and Vicky as she goes to file charges against Edgardo for sexual harassment. The prosecutor tells her there is no case and asks her what she expected from Edgardo with him being a man when she flirted with him first. It is her word against his. Yaneli is disappointed but Manuela and Vicky tell her not to give up hope. Vicky is gong to investigate Edgardo and see if he was ever accused of anything like sexual harassment in the past.

Carmina is still trying to run Pablo's life via Pablito. Pablo is late for Pablito's doctor's appointment. He asks how it went. Carmina says that the doctor adjusted his medication doses. She says she will fill him later when Pablito is not around.

Pablo visits Manuela to take photos of everything in Dulce's box before she turns it into the prosecutor. She is sadly convinced that Damián did something to Dulce.

Enrique's children are still acting like the vultures that they are. Susana tells Enrique one more time how he wasn't there enough for her mother in her last days. They are also interested in what Amanda might have inherited. Amanda lets Enrique know that she has no intentions of selling her store. She is planning on keeping her store no matter what. Enrique is hopeful again.

The brat is texting with the mysterious Kiro. We see the back of a hooded figure on a computer as he texts her. She is moaning about her mother and how difficult she is. Kiro asks her if maybe her mother doesn't like her father because he is a liar. The brat insists that her father is a ten out of ten. Kiro tells her that parents use their kids like trophies. He should know since he comes from a family like hers. The brat says that when they meet she will make her self really pretty like a Korean princess. Kiro wants to know her address. He suggests that they share their first sexual experience together. What does she think???

That is it for me.

VENCER

One of the problems I am having with this novela is with the brat who, IMHO, she does not act or look a fifteen year old. She looks and acts like she is a much younger child, certainly not a teenager. Sammy Schoulund, the actress, is doing an excellent job. They just should have made the character a younger age.

MINAS #87 Part 1

I’ve glossed over important dialog as I was unable to translate most of this. This is peppered with “I believe” and “I think” as these are simply my best attempts to convey what I thought I heard and saw. Kindly add or correct as necessary.

Fidel is murmuring “Victoria” as he forces himself on her, pushing her up against the wall, kissing her fiercely. She recoils, biting his tongue, calling him an animal, screaming at him to leave. He leaves, bloody tongue in cheek (so to speak). She calls herself stupid as she beats herself with her fists, cursing Victoria’s name.

“Hermano” Orlando says as he and Leo hug each other. “How is Sara” Leo asks the doctor. The doctor gravely tells him there are multiple problems.

Zaira tells Emilia her sorrows with Tigre as Emilia looks like she is going to cry herself. “Zaira” she says sympathetically. She takes her hands and tries to comfort her, laying her hands gently on Zaira’s face, telling her how much she cares; they hug tightly.

Gael tells Marijo he will love her forever. I believe she begs him to do what Cayetana wants in order to recover Joaquina. She dissolves in tears, saying “forgive me” and walks out.

Leo is reading to Romina, who ask where her mother and Nico are. Is her mother dead she asks, her sweet little face grave? No, he reassures her.

Joaquina is languishing in jail, praying, primarily for Leo. She keeps asking why and then blesses herself.

As opposed to praying, Roberta is having a full-on meltdown.” Malditos” Roberta cries throwing her glass in the fireplace, screaming that she has been abandoned.

Gael visits Victoria, filling her in; Danilo and Aleida are also there. She tells them about Sara as Danilo stares wide eyed. “What?” he screams. He is beside himself, saying she is the mother of his child. He leaves with Victoria hot on his heels.

Gigi is talking with Pati about Victoria financing her campaign. Pati shows Gigi a picture on her phone but I was typing and couldn’t tell who it was. Can someone kindly fill in here?

Danilo follows Victoria into the hospital. Roberta then flies in on her broom.

Diana

MINAS #87 Part 2 of 3

Leo is in Sara’s room as she wakes up. “How are you” he asks, sitting on a stool by her bedside. The children are good he tells her. Sara says she is alone; it is her reality. He takes her hand and leans in; she touches his face. He checks his watch as she asks him for a favor although I didn’t understand what it was.

I think Roberta accuses Danilo of having an affair with Sara. Is that true Victoria asks him, turning her back to Roberta. He claims that is his private life. Leave us Roberta commands him. Roberta the cat, plays with Victoria, her mouse, “cattily” warning she is going to reveal someone and then actually calls her “Emilia”!

The doctor is talking to Leo as Danilo listens at the door. Sara gets out of bed as Dan walks into her room. I think he tells her he thought she was dying but he sees she is fine. She grabs his arm and they verbally tussle, talking about Romina. “Forgive me” she says. I thought he accused her of being in love with Leo. Even though he realizes Sara’s attempt at suicide was a complete farce, he STILL wants her to leave with him and repeats “vamonos” multiple times.

Victoria retains her poise, calmly turning to Roberta, assuring her she is Victoria, her associate, and doesn’t appreciate being called Emilia. Victoria, cool as a cucumber, tells her the truth, that Emilia is her obsession. She reminds Roberta something about Mau’s accident. Leo walks in and she asks how Sara is. Mal he replies.

Jenny is at her desk when she starts getting excruciating pains, she stands but quickly sits down clutching her stomach. She calls Sara but gets her voicemail.

Leo feels badly for Sara; Roberta turns and says “Victoria” scathingly, as if she is taunting her with the truth. After Roberta leaves, Leo and Victoria talk about Nico “a wonderful boy”. She is concerned about Romina too. She leaves.

Danilo is still begging Sara but to no avail. She demurs, muttering about Addled and Roberta. She hugs him, tears in her eyes. “Te amo” Danilo assures her as he hugs her. She also tells him “te amo” and they kiss. All of a sudden, Roberta is darkening the door, opening it as Danilo hides behind it, miraculously managing to escape.

Leo brings Romina to see Nico and Zaira who appears to tell him something about Sara before talk turns to Joaquina.

A distraught Marijo visits Joaquina in jail. Joaquina calls her an angel as she asks about Nico. I think she says he is staying with Victoria.

Gael is at the police station when Cayetana shows up. He is happy to see her because he luvs her! Nopis, I’m kidding of course, he is anxiously waiting for her to testify on Joaquina’s behalf. But not so fast! Cayetana wants spoken proof that they are novios, insisting he repeat those words and kisses him. Marijo walks in and Cayetana ridiculously jumps the gun by saying she and Gael are going to get married! Marijo, clearly shaken, leaves. Gael walks her up to the omnipresent, dour policewoman. Gael hugs Cayetana none too happily.

Diana

MINAS #87 Part 3 of 3

Mercifully, Aleida shows up at Jenny’s, immediately understanding what is transpiring, telling Jenny they need to call a doctor. Jenny cries louder, saying no. Aleida tries to reason with her, saying it’s important for the baby. My baby is dead Jenny cries! “Lo siento” Aleida says, putting her arms around Jenny. I think Jenny says Orlando doesn’t know and evaporates in tears.

Roberta starts upbraiding Sara. All of a sudden, Sara gets up, unhooks herself from the monitor and struts to the door closing it. My interpretation is that Roberta is surprised, and seems to be impressed, understanding Sara has faked her overdose. I understood that Roberta told her that Victoria is Emilia. Sara doesn’t look too sure.

Sebas and Victoria meet up with Gael. I think Victoria says that Roberta knows who she is as she referred to her as “Emilia”. Then Danilo shows up with a man muttering something about the fact he doesn’t want problems. He gets the man to talk and I believe he says that Roberta had Emilia’s grave exhumed to see if the DNA matched. Please correct if this is not the case.

Aleida has wrapped Jenny up with a blanket. Jen cries, lamenting her loss. “Dios mio” Aleida says and seems to go along with her although she begs her again to go to the hospital. I fear that this will come back to haunt her when Orlando finds out what happened.

Sara also thinks Roberta is obsessed with Emilia. A man comes into the room and says something about Leo. Other than that, I was lost here.

Back at their unhappy home, Roberta sneers that Joaquina is a traitor. She is a servant! Leo, (only mildly annoyed not all fired up as he should be) defends Joaquina’s honor saying she was a mother to him. Roberta just shakes her head disgustingly.

Realizing that she needs to fight Roberta’s fire with an inferno of her own, Victoria visits Joaquina in jail. Joaquina seems confused asking if Roberta sent her. No, Marijo did. She tells Joaquina that Roberta Castro is a criminal! The last thing she asks is if Roberta, “your patrona” killed Ignacio!

Jarifa, your wise words keep reverberating in my head; I love the “revolving door” titles, they could not have been more perfect. As always, this was exceptional.

Sadly, Everardo lived well beyond his expiration date. Being one of the nastiest, most vile, and cruel characters in recent memory, I have no doubt he is feeling the heat so to speak and will definitely not be enjoying eternal peace.

As for the acorn that did not fall at all far from the tree, Leandro’s violent behavior was despicable and detestable. How on earth Manuela stood his assault was beyond me. I was flabbergasted that she offered to sleep with him!! His anger is completely out of control. I am sure there are skeletons of a violent nature somewhere in his background.

How could Julieta possibly have gone with Leandro? You are exactly right in that she looks and acts more like a very young preteen but the actress is doing a great job.

I was again shocked when Manuel showed up at Leandro’s, unarmed, seemingly willing to forgive and forget. Huh?? Just color me confused on all of this.

Manuela “is sadly convinced that Damián did something to Dulce”. It certainly seems that way but again, I can’t reconcile the mild-mannered kid we saw flashbacks of being harmful and hurtful. It seems as though something is off or missing.

That shot of Kiro was sobering. The almost empty room seemed bleak and depressing. I felt as though what we were seeing was not the happy home of someone trustworthy. Just the opposite.

The one good thing was Axel supporting Yaneli!

I’m trying to like Franco more; it’s just that Walter seems so much nicer…

"MINAS" EPISODE#87:

Diana: AWESOME job on the recap of last night's episode. Smarmy Fidel forcing himsrlf on Emilia/Victoria yuck! I hope those Mutual Ohama commercials are worth it.

Have they explored Marijo's background yet ? 20 episodes left & there's still unsolved mysteries.

MINAS

Thanks so much Steve.

Yes, much to be revealed before the end.

Diana

Minas
Thanks so much, Diana. I'm impressed with your ability to 'guess' what's happening. I've tried this at the very beginning of my learning and got frustrated pretty quickly.
Apparently Sara is fine. Only they'll have to make sure there are no aftereffects. Later it turns out she has a heart problem and has two years left to live if a stressful event doesn't finish her off. But before you all start crying, let me tell you Joaquina read her cards and they said she'll be fine. According to her, cards don't lie. The doctor who came to see herconfirms this as he tells her her husband is convinced she's dying,'your plan worked.' I really can't feel sorry for her because she told Leo her feelings for him haven't changed. Then she tells Danilo she loves him. I'm beginning to think it's not that she cant leave out of fear Roberta and her gang will track her down, it's that she doesn't want to. Danilo says 'now it's the election. And what else will it be later on?' I'd like to know this too. Roberta even tells Sara she should make sure that next time she tries killing herself, her attempt is successful.
I think Gigi was shown a picture of her and that guy she went to meet. She insists nothing happened and that she didn't hire him. Her friend tells her this will cause serious problems. It almost seemd like she wanted Gigi to withdraw her candidacy because she said 'you will tell me what you decide' or something similar.
You had me in the first half of your sentence about Gael and Cayetana as I'm watching and reading the recap at the same time. I laughed out loud at Cayetana 'jumping the gun'. I doubt I'd have found it as funny if I first had heard it during the episode.
Apparently Zaira doesn't want to leave tigre, even though,as she herself says, she doesn't seem to be need for anything else except washing his clothes and cooking. I wonder how long a man would last in her position.
Sebas again has an idea how to help Emilia. Leo,meanwhile, is again arguing with his mother. I know he doesn't know the truth, but they focus too much on him being a victim of Roberta's manipulations. He never has to do anything and can spend the episode lamenting his unhappiness.
Marijo and her 'let's break up' refrain bore me to death. They ruined what could have been a good paring.
Jenifer's obsession with getting pregnant is disturbing. I wonder if the person who included this fully realises how creepy it is, especially as this almost seems to be a punishment.

MINAS

Waterlily, thank you for your wise and astute additions that add so much!

Loved your comment about Leo "He never has to do anything and can spend the episode lamenting his unhappiness" which is so true. Perfect!

I was confused as while Sara certainly did appear to be unscathed by her pill "episode," it seemed as though something else was wrong. Thank you for explaining "...she has a heart problem and has two years left to live if a stressful event doesn't finish her off". I'm with Joaquina in that I have no doubt she is going to survive. I'm still unsure as to whether she will be alone or not...

Pati seems a fair weathered friend, saying a picture will derail Gigi's campaign. Nothing happened and Gigi was fully dressed so...

I'm very concerned about Jeni; Aleida is in a difficult position, but she needs to tell Orlando. Pronto.

Diana

MINAS

Waterlily, I am so appreciative and grateful for you taking the time to make sense of all that I don't "get" or "understand".

I really could not continue to do this without you!!

Diana

Minas

Diana, thank you so much for soldiering on as this story just goes around and around with no forward motion .

Water lily , thank you for the added details.

At this point, nothing makes sense to me. The writers just appear to be stretching out this tale any way they can.

I am very confused about Sara....so...hmmm.... she faked her suicide attempt , but she actually has a heart condition and two years to live...but the tarot cards contradict that diagnosis ???? QTH. What?

Jenny's storyline gets more and more depressing . I just finished Watching " Virgin River" which has a storyline about the leading lady having multiple miscarriages , and a friend from college recently told me that she had 5 miscarriages before she had her three children . I also have another friend who had that many or more miscarriages and a stillborn before she had her two sons after the doctor put her on bed rest for the last months. Many women never talk about their miscarriages , but they will tell you after you have one . It is often Kept as a strange secret, but I can't believe Jen hasn't told Orlando .I guess being raised by Addled and Gigi has severely damaged her psychologically . She is lucky to now have caring , loving Aleida in her life . I hope Jen, O, and Aleida get a HEA ...with a baby .I am pretty hopeless about the rest of these crazy people . Sebas deserves a HEA , but who knows what the writers plan is for this Unwavering good soul. Susan

Minas
Diana, you are way too nice.
I thought it might become clearer as to what they are planning to do with Sara but it hasn't. She bribed/convinced the doctor to convince Leo she is dying. She would justify it by saying Roberta and her 'friends' are dangerous and that her papa told her she has to play the happy family because that's what sells. But this feels almost the same as with Leo: they both do something due to the effects other people have on them, but does this mean they will just get the final prize? With Sara its even worse because she has lied and manipulated way too much. And in the end she will most probably be sorry because she will get caught and not because it's wrong in general. Both Roberta and Sara always blame other people. I almost believed Sara when she said she is a failure, but I now have a feeling she won't ever fully believe such a thing because 'someone else made me do it' is her excuse in the end. She keeps repeating she didn't want to be a mother, as if this justifies her treatment of Romina. What does it matter what she wanted or didn't want when she already has a child?I think I won't be happy with the ending they decide to give her because this seems like it's going the '180 degrees change in a short time route.
This episode really made me want to rant.
Oh and I just now noticed I made Joaquina read the cards. It's Zaira who did that.
I'm disturbed by Joaquina's loyalty to Roberta. Awful people seem to have nice people around but it only serves to make the good ones suffer. Joaquina can't seem to figure out why Roberta is so full of anger and believes she can change. She'd better give this up before it's too late. I do wonder how these two ended up in this abuser and the abused kind of relationship.

Minas
Susan, Sara isn't dying. The doctor who came to see her told her her husband is now convinced her life is 'hanging by a thread' so she seems to have lied here too.

Vencer

Jarifa, wow...thank you for all the details of this episode of " As the Door Turns." So many toxic people making life difficult for others .

I wonder if Kiro actually is another kid . What is up with him asking Bratty MCBraterson to make herself up like a Korean princess? And didn't someone talk about a dream trip to Korea??? Is Korea on one of the writers' bucket list ?

Everude bites the dust in his own last meal \temper tantrum. It is hard for me to imagine being married to someone like this horror . Looks like Everude is gone, but his son in law is picking up where the old creep left off. No shortage of toxic males in this tale .

Paloma continues to try to be a friend to all and a sister to every other Girl Scout ( wow...that phrase from my past just popped into my head from some dim corridor in my mind ).

Leondro gets worse and worse . Is Gabe Soto destined to pale villains from now on ? Susan

Minas

Water lily , you made me think of an old line that I used to hear " The devil made me do it !!! "

I am very curious to see how the writers chose to end this swirling tale of toxic people manipulating others . Susan

MINAS

Thank you so much Susan!

I agree that confusion is permeating the storylines at this point, especially Sara's.

And Jen's situation is heartbreaking. Orlando loves her so much; her delay in telling him is going to make everything so much worse!

Like you, I believe and want HEA's for Aleida, Jen, Orlando, and especially Sebas. As you note, "who knows what the writers plan is for this Unwavering good soul" which is exactly right.

Diana

MINAS

"I thought it might become clearer as to what they are planning to do with Sara but it hasn't" has me nodding in vigorous agreement Waterlily!

"The abuser and the abused" is perfectly phrased. Although many relationships here are truly toxic, Joaquina and Roberta have the most deep seeded tortured and twisted ones. I look forward to learning everything that transpired to make these two women's live inextricably bound.

Diana

MINAS

Thanks, Diana. "Sadly, Everardo lived well beyond his expiration date. Being one of the nastiest, most vile, and cruel characters in recent memory, I have no doubt he is feeling the heat so to speak and will definitely not be enjoying eternal peace." I couldn'r believe how nasty his was to Amanda as he was taking his last breaths. As for Manuela, "I was flabbergasted that she offered to sleep with him!!" Can you or anybody out there explain to me what her reasoning was behind that? I just didn't get it nor could I get her popping back in to live with Leandro and the brat.

Thanks, Susan. As for the whole Korean connection, it is because the brat, like a lot of teenagers, are into "kpop": Korean pop music and videos. It is a real "thing." "Paloma continues to try to be a friend to all and a sister to every other Girl Scout ( wow...that phrase from my past just popped into my head from some dim corridor in my mind )" I well remember the "friend to every other girl scout, too. Paloma is going to have to actually choose between Walter or Franco. She seems lukewarm about both of them even when she was telling her friend how she can't get Franco out of her head. I think she will choose Franco but i would love to see her choose neither.

VENCER

When Manuela reappeared at Leandro's, she made me think of a jack in the box or one of those old time clown punching bags. You could punch them back and they popped back smiling all the time.

VENCER

Jarifa, Manuela's recent actions and rationale (or lack thereof) is completely inexplicable. It is obvious Leandro is an unhinged madman; he will settle for nothing less than complete capituation.

So, what is she going to do now? Your "old time clown punching bag" said it all! Does she have any game plan in mind or is she just reacting instinctively, trying to hold onto Julieta?? It's clear she has lost that battle. Perhaps leaving Julieta and Leandro to themselves might have imploded their relationship naturally. But we will never know.

"Looks like Everude is gone, but his son in law is picking up where the old creep left off" nailed it Susan." No shortage of toxic males in this tale" indeed!

Diana

Vencer #42/43

Gracias, I agree with all the above comments.

I hate the idea of Amanda giving up her combat pay to keep this secret about Leandro not being Everude-o's son. Does she fear that Tamara will try to take his share? Nico is despicable and if he doesn't try to take at least most of Tamara's inheritance I would be surprised. Could this be that same situation in MCEA? What was their marital agreement?

Everude-o's death is going to guilt-trip Amanda and she doesn't deserve it. If I were advising her I would suggest she take the money and run. Maybe put half of it in trust for her nietos and make sure that Nico can't touch it. After his outburst in this episode I am not so sure that Leandro won't lose whatever cool he has left if she tells him that he is not Everude-o's child. However, at least this runs into the face of any notion of personality being genetic, a notion I have detested my entire life.

I was also going to comment on how Julieta looks about 11 years old... and behaves accordingly. That shadow is pointing in a bad direction.

Vencer

Thanks,Jarifa, you turn out a great story day after day. It’s kind of bad when the best part of the show is a death! But that was one less problem in the story. However, Nico seems to step up to take his place. He has been planning that as why else would he take photos. I guess Everardo was going to cut Amanda out of the will, and maybe tell Leandro the truth.

Amanda and Enrique both have selfish children. They need to start a new life without their demanding children.

I agree that Manuela should have let the brat go with her dad. I really thought she’d choose not to go after that temper tantrum by her dad!

Liz

Vencer

Jarifa, your headlines are terrific. We certainly do have a "revolving door" with Manuela and Paloma.

Boy, Leandro has driven Manuela bonkers. I hope Manuela brought mace and plans to record Leandro when he's being obnoxious alone with her.

Poor Amanda. She'll never be able to trust that lousy sil. But he looks so cartoony, I just can't take him seriously. Leandro, on the other hand, is scaring me.

Minas

Thanks, Diana, I was totally in the dark about what was going on most of the time. Plus I kept looking at Victoria’s outfit. She’s dressed in that style before but something looked like it was digging into her below the breast. I kept wondering if it’s as uncomfortable as it looks.

At this point I only really care about Jenny and Orlando. It seems the doctor sent her home without really helping her. Why is she in so much pain if she already lost the baby?

Crooked police and crooked doctors seem to be in abundance on telenovelas!

I do care about Sebas too but don’t know how he’ll get his happy ever after.

Liz

MINAS

Thanks so much Liz.

I'm so happy you commented on Victoria's very strange...err, was it a top or a one piece dress? Regardless, it was distracting and looked terribly uncomfortable as you astutely noted.

Your asking why Jenny "is in so much pain if she already lost the baby" was an excellent question. I assumed Jenny already lost the baby, (and thought she said that) but perhaps I'm wrong??

Diana

VENCER

Liz, thanks, "It’s kind of bad when the best part of the show is a death! " You can say that again! ; )

Niecie, thanks. "Poor Amanda. She'll never be able to trust that lousy sil. But he looks so cartoony, I just can't take him seriously." That is such a bad wing, it is unbelievable! Sort of made me thinks of the '80's.

VENCER

Urban, yes, "That shadow is pointing in a bad direction." Exactly. How long until the brat and he meet up? I hope it is soon. Will they use that experience whatever it is, to be what spurs her on to be a better person if that is possible? As far as the brat's age goes, I could not see a fifteen year old fixated on her father and "family" that way; a ten or eleven year old, yes.

Minas #87

Gracias, Diana y Waterlily.

Faking suicide and illness is one of the oldest tricks in the female villain manual. So is the writers making it happen eventually (speculation, not spoiler). I have no hope for redemption here and Sara does not deserve it. Here's hoping she doesn't take Danilo down with her, but there's no guarantee she won't.

Roberta is even more bloodthirsty. She may try to kill Leo before this is over.

I am wondering whether Jenny is still retaining the placenta. If that's not totally expelled she could go septic. Gilberta does not deserve to lose both daughters.

That tight partial bodice may be a good look for Livia but inappropriate for her character. She should not look like she belongs in a men's magazine photoshoot.

Prediction: Sara will die leaving Leo with two children who are not biologically his.

Jen's pain might be a result of the doctor not doing a d and c after the miscarriage to scrape the womb, but that is normal procedure after a miscarriage . If it wasn't performed ....why?
Susan

MINAS

Urban, your prediction "Sara will die leaving Leo with two children who are not biologically his" gave me pause. I had been wondering if Sara will be redeemed; perhaps I should be wondering if she survives?

Some of Victoria's "looks" have been perplexing. Last night's just looked painful.

I want Jenny in the hospital asap so she can whatever treatment she desperatelly needs.

VENCER LA CULPA #44/#45 Page one

Could have they stuffed any more info into two episodes? I think not.

This is most of what happened if I remember correctly.

Amanda knows that Nico cares more about money than about his family. She shows him how much money she is willing to give him just to get rid of him. He agrees. Her only condition is that he leave and never come back. In the mean time, he seems to be playing the other angle by trying to be the perfect husband and father. Towards the end of the episode, he calls Amanda reminding her that he has the DNA results. She tells him she will soon have access to her money and he will be paid off in a week.

Leandro is still wondering what his father wanted to tell him in the letter. Manuela finds a set of DNA results in Everardo's bedroom but manages to hide them from Leandro. She ends up burning them. Leandro finds the other set of DNA results in one of Everardo's suits and Nico tells him that they were for a child that a secretary of his father had. She was going to blackmail him. It turned out the child wasn't Everardo's. Leandro is surprised that his father trusted Nico to do that for him.

Manuela asks Pablo if he never had a homosexual friend or worked with one. He says not as far as he knew. She says that getting to know people who are different can help cure prejudices. He goes over to Angeles to talk to the uncles and make amends. Ricky knows why he is there. It is because he is a homophobe. David wonders why anyone would care who any one would go to bed with or wake up with. Pablo makes it clear that he is there as a sign of respect and friendship for them. They men seem to appreciate that. Angeles tells him he is welcome any time.

Amanda wants Yaneli to have Leandro handle her brother's case. She says no and that Manuela and Vicky the lawyer from the center will but she needs to get the name of Genaro's lawyer from Leandro so they can talk to him. Manuela, Vicky and Yaneli finally bring Dulce's box to the prosecutor so it might help Genaro's defense and maybe find Dulce. The women make it clear that the case cannot be closed until Dulce is found.

In the meantime, Genaro is being pressured to plead guilty to Dulce's death by the gang in the jail. Their boss wants it done. They scared his sister once they could do that or worse again. He asks who their boss is. They only laugh.

Leandro gives Yaneli the name of her brother's lawyer. The women go to his office but he is "out" and there is no way they can talk to him. Time is passing and there is no way Yaneli knows what is going on with her brother. Yaneli is beyond upset and blames Manuela for taking too long to turn in the box from Dulce because she first had to show it to Pablo. None of them are helping her.

Later that night, the women all get a text from the prosecutor. Genaro has confessed that Dulce is dead. (I found this interesting because it didn't say that he killed her only that he said that she was dead. Why did they express it that way?) Yaneli is hysterical.

Pablo shows the photos of the content's of Dulce' box to Carlos. What does the date (9/26/22) on the inside of the ring mean? Is it an anniversary of some sort? What about the letter itself? Jorge thinks that the letter might be referring to emotional aggression/harm and not physical.

Carmina tells her sister that the doctor is taking good care of Pablito who is doing well and who will continue to tell Pablo that his condition isn't so good. Carmina is also adding a new part to his medications. It is tea that she heard about on the internet. it is supposed to be really good for cases like Pablito's. Her sister asks how she can be sure ? Carmina says its NATURAL! How could it be harmful ??? Later we see Pablito asking his mother not to have to drink the tea. It tastes horrible, makes him go to the bathroom and hurts his stomach. She makes him promise to not tell his dad about the tea. He agrees. She prods him into taking a sip but he is rescued when his father arrives and he goes to visit with him. Pablo knows nothing about the tea.

Axel is there for Yaneli. Edgardo is notified that Yaneli filed a charge of sexual assault against him. Late in the episodes, we see him hiding and taking photos of Axel and Yaneli kissing.

Paloma is officially given her new job as creative director. Her boss gives her credit for initiating a new program at the company. Once a month there will be a presentation on a subject of public interest. This month is is HIV. An expert comes in and tells them all about HIV and answers any questions they have.

I admit that I am getting bored with Paloma who doesn't seem to be able to make up her mind. Walter is romancing her with flowers and an Argentine serenade. She ends up being novios with him again. She tells Tolita she still has feelings for Franco who continues being his "meh" self. Paloma's co-workers decide to have a surprise congratulatory party for her promotion at her place. Tolita tells Franco about the party when she sees him on the street. He joins the group. Surprise! Walter is all set to propose to Paloma when she gets the text about Genaro's confession. Franco consoles her when she starts crying about Dulce. She is disillusioned by the news. Franco tells her she will get over it just by being herself. She makes dreams come true. She tells him that isn't true. One of her dreams was to be with him and it never happened. She never cared about his HIV.

The brat is in contact with Chiro who has some pills he can recommend if she wants to change her body into being more mature. He gives her a link where she can place an order for them. The brat is all excited!

Amanda finds out from the brat what the real situation is with Manuela and her son. She talks to Manuela who confirms that she is only living with Leandro because her daughter is there. She does not love him. She adds that she is looking for any proof she can get that Leandro is not a good father because he isn't. When that happens, she plans on suing Leandro for custody. Amanda has a hard time believing that Leandro is less than a prize for any woman. (Uh, what about Lorena?)

Of course, Amanda has to tell her bouncing baby boy Leandro what Manuela told her about suing him for custody. Leandro cannot believe that. He is being wonderful to the brat and Manuela. Unfortunately for Lorena, she will become the sacrificial lamb. Leandro has his thugs literally pick Lorena up and throw her on the back seat of his car. Leandro joins her and grabs her phone to get her attention.. The next thing we know it is the end of the episode and Leandro is arriving at his apartment with his two sons. They are going to be living there with him from now on. He tells Manuela if he can manage to take control of his sons from a powerful family of lawyers, she needs to think about what he could do to her.

That is it for me.

MINAS #88 Part 1

Victoria approaches Joaquina’s cell calling her name softly. “Senora Victoria why are you here? Did Roberta send you?” Joaquina queries. No Marijo did is Victoria’s answer; she knows you are innocent. Then Victoria states Roberta Castro is a criminal. I believe she asks if Roberta, su patrona, murdered Ignacio. No answer is given.

Clemente is being questioned by Sebas and Danilo. Danilo implies that he could be in huge danger if Roberta finds out he has been talking.

Victoria tries her best but Joaquina isn’t ready to crack. She turns her back and Victoria leaves. Staring at her back, Marijo murmurs “Emilia”.

Leo confronts Roberta, demanding to know why Joaquina is in prison.

Clemente and Sebas enter the Forensic investigation office. Clemente obviously works there as one of the other staff members approaches, calling him by name, asking who Sebas is.

Leo and Roberta talk about Ignacio, Mauricio, all the usual subjects. Leo goads Roberta into a response.

Sebas introduces himself as someone else as he frantically signals Danilo lurking in the hallway. Danilo, always resourceful (with a flair for the dramatic), pulls a fire alarm and they are able to escape.

Leo has once again opened the door for Roberta to vent her vitriol telling him she despises him. She blames him for thwarting her happiness, starting when he was a child. A single tear falls from Leo’s face as he hears this oft repeated hatred.

Addled and Fidel are the bar. Gigi’s friend Pati is at a table waving coquettishly at Fidel. Why??

Gigi’s team confront her about the completely innocent and not at all compromising photos. Gigi is in tears when all of a sudden, Manuelito struts in, wearing a captivating smile, laying on the charm. The women (and your recapper) are suitably impressed.. They leave, as Gigi invites him to sit. Even Teresa is smiling behind her back. They have a conversation as Teresa hangs on every word. He kisses Gigi’s hand gallantly as he leaves. “Guapo” Terry says, smiling broadly.

MINAS #88 Part 2 of 3

Cayetana is still hugging Gael and kisses him as Marijo comes in. Marijo seems disgusted and disheartened, saying she is going home. Cayetana makes it clear she isn’t going to Marijo’s because of Roberta. I had to smile as I’m sure Roberta has no intention of tolerating Cayetana under her roof ever again! Marijo gets a call about the mine and leaves.

Victoria calls Sebas to thank him. “Te amo” he says, “te quiero” she answers to Sebas’ chagrin and disappointment. The impact of Victoria’s words seem to be weighing heavily on him. Clemente takes advantage of the call to start running away.

Leo visits Sara who asks where the children are. At Tigre’s Leo answers. She cries copious tears and when he sits on the bed, she reaches out and grabs his arm. He stares wordlessly and is saved by a call from Patricio.

Danilo zooms over to Tigre’s and Zaira warmly welcomes him. Hola he says to the kids and sits down. He shakes Nico and then Romina’s hands. He smiles delightedly when Romina tells him she remembers him.

Jenny is finally in the hospital, Aleida by her side. “Orlando” Jenny calls. And magically, he is there in the room, looking heartbroken. And very angry.

Sebas catches up with a terrified Clemente who is deathly afraid of la patrona. A car comes careening out of nowhere and hits Clemente. No no Sebas screams, calling for an ambulance although it appears he is already deceased.

Orlando confronts Jenny, asking if she thinks he is stupid. She cries how much she wanted to be a mother as Aleida tries gently to calm him down. Sadly, he actually calls Jenny mentirosa. He refuses to listen and leaves as Jenny cries out after him. Aleida tries to comfort Jenny as she is heartbroken about the loss of her child.

The Quintana sisters are having one of the worst days of their lives. We flash back to Sara as she tells Leo she loves him. During the course of the evening, she tries to get Leo to stay with her evoking memories of the (short) time they were happy with each other. So far, her attempts seem to be futile.

Diana

MINAS #88 Part 3 of 3

Victoria is visited by Fidel. Am I interrupting? No she says. He offers his “assistance” with Joaquina’s predicament. But there’s a catch (always is). He wants her to no longer support Gigi’s campaign. She accepts and when Victoria puts out her hand, he kisses it. Several bottles of hand sanitizer later…

Leo brings Sara to (his?) apartment where she mentions Emilia (I’m not sure in what context). Leo leans in to give her a perfunctory kiss and she presses in to make it linger a bit longer. After he leaves she keeps telling herself everything will be all right. Just then, Addled calls. He wants her to do something which she clearly doesn’t want to do. After, he manhandles Miriam, grabbing her face, acting lasciviously. As his back is turned, Sebas calls Miriam and she runs out.

Leo arrives at Tigre’s as Danilo is leaving. Leo says something about his children and Danilo mutters “your children” under his breath. It is clear Danilo wants to claim Romina as his. This situation is a powder keg just waiting to be ignited.

A concerned Victoria leaves a voice mail for Sebas asking where he is. Meanwhile, said subject is drowning his sorrows as Miriam comes in. Shockingly, he hugs her tightly and puts his head on her chest. He stares at her leaving no doubt he wants and needs her. Uh oh…

Leo and Tigre talk about Sara, Emilia, and Victoria.

Marijo confronts Roberta about Joaquina. Roberts sneers that Joaquina is in jail and is utterly pathetic.

Sebas wakes up in bed with Miriam. He clearly berates himself for what he did; but as the expression goes, the damage has been done.

Leo tells the board of directors he wants to give Tigre a place at the table. Roberta seems incredulous and a vote is taken. Of course, it’s a tie. Marijo will need to cast the tiebreaking vote. Victoria puts her hand on Marijo’s shoulder and Roberta stares daggers. Marijo, clearly conflicted, says nothing. For the moment.

Jarifa, your recap was the perfect accompaniment to this on the edge of your seat episode! You captured all the angst and anguish masterfully.

Thank you for “Amanda has to tell her bouncing baby boy”, a wry and welcome distraction from this madness and mayhem.

So many victims; and seemingly powerless! My heart was in my throat when Leona was thrown in the car. While I wasn’t shocked to see Leandro sitting there, his look of white-hot rage struck terror in my heart. My fear escalated when I read “he tells Manuela if he can manage to take control of his sons from a powerful family of lawyers, she needs to think about what he could do to her”. Every day, another layer of evil is unraveled.

Excellent point about Genaro saying Dulce is dead but giving up nothing else as to when and how. Btw, who is Genaro’s boss?? I have one suspect in mind. And interesting about the date. I can’t even hazard a guess.

I can’t help but feel Dulce isn’t dead. Wishful thinking? I felt bad for everyone, especially Yaneli.

Chiro is another monster. Silly Julieta isn’t seriously considering taking those pills is she??

I like Davied and Ricky’s gentle but firm chastising of Pablo. At least he is taking positive steps forward.

I fear that whatever Carmina is giving Pablito is hurting him. Poor kid.

I liked the little non-musical number where the guests cleared the way for Walter to propose.

Nico may fool Amanda but Leandro will certainly figure things out. Good luck to you when that happens (Welcome Back) Mr. Kotter.

Diana

"MINAS" EPISODE#88:

Diana: NOT shocked Orlando put Jenny on full-blast for NOT telling him the truth about losing the baby.

At least Adelia is there to comfort Jenny.

Feel like Marijo will vote the other way.

VENCER

Diana, what a nice comment! Thanks. Things are really moving quickly I guess or maybe it is just that the plot is finally moving. Anyway, I do think they have done a good job with the character of Leandro. "Every day, another layer of evil is unraveled." Yes! and Gabriel Soto is doing an outstanding job with all of the nuances of Leandro's character. He is so creepy! I never expected him to join the manhandled Lorena in the car. I fear that if Carmina can give Pablito "natural so it must be good" tea from the internet, the brat will be able to take unknown pills of unknown origin with unknown effects recommended by an unknown person on the internet. These two plot lines could end up being very effective PSA's. " I liked the little non-musical number where the guests cleared the way for Walter to propose." I didn't know how to describe this entertaining tidbit but you gave the perfect description. Too bad it was so short.

VENCER

Jarifa, Gabe Soto has joined the rank of actors who can play good and evil equally well. David Zepada comes first to mind (where IS he btw? I've seen or heard nothing from him since he did Penso en ti which never aired at least on Uni or Unimas I believe).

That said, I hope Gabe continues to play galan roles. His characters are romantic and endearing. But work is work; we do what we need to and this is likely opening up a new avenue of possibilities.

The proposal was unexpected and very well staged.

This may end up being one of my favorite Vencers yet. I can't wait to see what transpires each night. It keeps me guessing and thinking. And I've come to care for several characters here.

Diana, thank you for yet another excellent recap .

Oh no, you have sealed your fate, Sebas, by falling into bed with Miriam. There is no way now that you will get a HEA with Em.

How did Danilo know that Romina was at Tiger's place ? Do Tiger and Zaire know Danilo?

Well, another one bites the dust . What did Sebas think Clemente could tell them? Susan

Sara is still trying to hold into Leo , while Leo is still in slow mo mode about everything . meh

Jatifa, thank you for giving us every moment of doom and gloom.

I forget who Angeles and Ricky are .

"Oh no, you have sealed your fate, Sebas, by falling into bed with Miriam. There is no way now that you will get a HEA with Em".

You nailed it Susan. How "convenient" that Sebas, not receiving the "true" love from Emilia that he's craved forever, decides to find it in the arms of Miriam. This lack of judgement to me doesn't fit with Sebas' character and to me, was the writer's "easy out" paving the way for Emilia and Leo...

Loved "Leo is in slow mode".

You didn't need to sign your post; after all these years I "know" your voice :) Great comments.

Diana, the whole Dulce mystery is keeping me going. As for Damián, he might be better off away from Pablo even now. I still cannot get over that he threw out a 15 year old even if he now is a new and improved version of himself. ; (

Susan, Angeles is Manuela’s mother. Ricky is Manuela’s cousin and the brat’s uncle. Ricky’s partner is David. I call them “the uncles”. Yes, lots of PSA’s in this one. Franco is an odd duck but again Paloma is a little odd herself. Walter seems like a very normal good guy now that we have gotten to know him.

OT...ha...Diana. Yes, after all the years of being together here on the patio , I think we can recognize each other's voices . It is
like hearing an old friend call your name at the screen door.

Do you know that I once got back from vacation , and Chris Ferro had commented that he wondered why my name didn't appear at the top of my comments. I answered that I didn't know how to do that , so I just signed my name at the end if my comment . My hub found it very funny that I was being chastised by someone online.

MINAS and O/T

Susan, I'm smiling at your memory of Chris Ferro.

For any of our patio friends who might not know who he is...he was a recapper and commenter many years ago. His son's sandled feet still grace the sidebar on the main page.

Vencer #44/45

Gracias, Jarifa.

Leandro was truly frightening last night. Did someone drop him on his head when he was a child? I can't imagine how Lorena tolerated being married to him all this time.

Nico would take Amanda's money and still rat her out; he has no honor. Under TN law Leandro will find out anyway but I am not prepared to predict his reaction to either the fact itself or the circumstances of discovery. Will this also depend on how public the information becomes?

I did not like Walter's public proposal. What if Paloma had not wanted to marry him? Also, his walking away at the altar must have been doubly humiliating because there must have been colleagues to the wedding.

Girls of 15 have taken oral contraceptives for ages now. The big however is what else could be in those pills. Kids that age don't have the metabolism needed for many drugs. It is also troubling that she would consent to sex without even having met this guy face to face. I hope this isn't typical of today's kids anywhere.

Of course nobody gives a crap about a missing girl, especially a poor one. This will be an uphill battle.

Minas
Thanks so much, Diana.
I agree with you about Sebas. It seemed so out of character. It doesn't do any favours to Miriam's character either because she knows he doesn't love her and yet apparently she 'will take what she can get'. I personally wouldn't want to be 'un plato de segunta mesa' (a dish from a second table) as they say. They could have done a much better job with this and this is why I'm so upset. There's nothing worse than assasinating a good character like this because you don't want to bother coming up with a better solution.
Addled wanted Sara to come up with her government programme I think.
Marijo only now will realise what she has got herself into. She and Leo surprise me with their naivety.
Cayetana could give Sara a run for her money. She needs more practice at blackmail and manipulation, but she is on the right track. That is, if she wants to turn into a crazy and obsessive person.
Addled apprently hired a firend with whom Gigi had had some kind of disagreement. She hasn't accepted yet.
So Leo starts by talking about Joaquina but can't resist a bit of torture. What does it matter why Roberta doesn't love him. I found it hard to listen to him trying to explain to her how he tried all kinds of things to make her love him.
Tigre told him it's time for him to forget Victoria. How many times do we have to watch him getting back with Sara? I'm awfully bored by this.
Orlando 'magically' appearing was exactly it. I thought a scene got cut from my episode.

MINAS

Waterlily, as always you have added so much!! I so enjoy your words of wisdom.

Loved "'un plato de segunta mesa' (a dish from a second table)" which was perfect in Sebas' and Miriam's situation.

"There's nothing worse than assasinating a good character like this because you don't want to bother coming up with a better solution" was exactly right. Their night together was a total cop out; Sebas/Carlos deserved SO much better.

Ahhh, so after Patti found out about Gigi's innocent pics, she ran to Addled, the competition?? So much for loyalty, a theme few in this novela know anything about.

Agree that Leo and Sara are getting tiresome. Something has got to give.

Orlando wasn't there one second, yet he was the next. I also wondered if that scene was a victim of Uni's censoring shears.

Diana

VENCER

Urban, "Nico would take Amanda's money and still rat her out; he has no honor." How I hope that his plans are foiled and he ends up penniless. Unfortunately, he is yet just another despicable character in this novela. No surprises here.

Vencer

Jarifa, amazing work. So much happened last night and you captured it all. Super job.

I fear Leandro is worse than Everardo. Lorena tried to make a call when she got nabbed, and just then Manuela looked at (an attempted call?) her phone. Such a shame these two women didn't work together earlier. Now a good woman has lost her sons. What in blazes will Leandro tell Amanda and will she buy it?

When Manuela (rightfully) was giving Amanda the 411 about her son, I couldn't help but think someone needs to give Manuela the 411 about her daughter. The brat is cruel to Enrique's granddaughter, and I don't know how her friends tolerate her going on and on about herself all the time.

I enjoyed the choreography of Walter's proposal, but it's too soon. I want more on Franco's back story.

VENCER

Thanks, Niecie and thanks for explaining that Lorena was trying to make a phone call. I didn't quite see what was going on. Now that scene makes sense. "Such a shame these two women didn't work together earlier." Maybe they still can manage to put Leandro away together. I would enjoy that! I, also, would like to find out more about Franco.

Vencer

Thanks once again Jarifa. I’m enjoying this show with all it’s mysteries. I can understand Amanda doubting Manuela, but surely having her daughter-in-law lose her children to Leandro will make her rethink this. I was surprised he won custody against her family of lawyers. This is when the two woman need to join forces.

It looks like Paloma chose Franco. This is strange but I was babysitting granddaughters and watched the telenovelas in a different city with different carriers(At&t vs.Spectrum) and I feel like i saw Walter’s proposal 3 times. One could have been in a coming attraction I guess.

I’m hoping Dulce isn’t dead. Who could be the boss? Poor Yaneli.

Liz

Minas

Thanks Diana, this show seems to be going in circles with no progress being made. But hopefully they did manage to change the DNA report.

I wonder if Miriam will get pregnant. The positive would be Sebas would have his own child. But he’d be with Miriam because he would never leave the mother of his child.

Victoria was in that same dress digging into her. So time is moving slowly!

Orlando should have been upset but his anger was over the top. He needs a little sympathy for his wife. He knows how badly she wanted to give him a child.

Liz

Vencer

I am starting to think Leondro is the mastermind behind all these mysteries , or maybe it was Everude, and now sonny will take over the criminal activities .Is this going to turn into another show about trafficking ? It seems to have become a favorite theme .

MINAS

I agree Liz, progess is incremental and it's getting a bit frustrating.

Orlando's anger was indeed "over the top". I was so dismayed as Jenny needed his support and understanding, neither of which he gave. His leaving like that was cruel.

Sebas can't run back to Miriam every time Victoria/Emilia doesn't give him the love he craves.

VENCER LA CULPA #46/#47 Page one

Leandro explains to the questioning Manuela that he had to take his kids away from Lorena because she was unbalanced and his kids shouldn't live with a crazy woman. He did it for the good of his children just like her living there for the good of the brat. He points out that they are the same in that way.

Leandro tells his sons that their mother is on a trip and tells the brat that their mother is crazy so he had to do what he had to do. When she asks how long his sons will be staying, he says he doesn't know. They are a big family now. Manuela gives the boys her bedroom and will join the brat in hers. Leandro tells the brat that when they make their trip to Korea, it will only be the three of them.

The women join the police at an abandoned building to find Dulce's body. Genaro gave them a tip that is where her body would be found. They do not find a body.

Later, when the women are waling down the street, it looks like Chiro in his hoodie is taking photos of them.

Amanda tells Leandro that she wants him to help Yaneli's brother. After she tells him all she knows, he says it is evident that somebody powerful and dangerous is behind it all and that is why he didn't want Amanda involved in the first place but since she is, he will do what he can for Genaro. Later when the women meet, Manuela is against Leandro working on the case. She doesn't trust Leandro. She proves her point by asking Amanda if she knew that Leandro's sons were living with him now. He took Lorena's sons away from her. Amanda had no idea but says that people can be one way in there personal life and totally different in their professional life. She has confidence in Leandro, a prestigious lawyer, being able to mount a defense for Genaro. Everyone agrees that Yaneli should go with Leandro as her brother's lawyer except for Manuela. When talking with Yaneli, Leandro sounds hopeful about her bother's chances of getting out. Manuela tells Vicky she has her reservations about Leandro since he was the one who filed the charges against Genaro in the first place.

Leandro arranges for Yaneli to meet with her brother. Talking with Yaneli, Genaro supposes that they didn't find Dulce's body. She says no they didn't. She asks him what kind of connection did Damián have in all of this. She can tell that he knows something. We see the flashback in which Genaro is on the street arguing with Dulce. He is ordering Dulce to tell him if there is another man in her life. He is angry because she is making a fool of him. He grabs Dulce's arms roughly and Dulce slaps him. He goes on to tell his sister that it is less complicated than what she thinks and that the answer she is looking for is in the letter that Dulce wrote to Damián.

The brat is taking her magical meds she got over the internet. She gets a text from Chiro in the morning and he starts poisoning her against her father. He tells her that now that her brothers have moved in, her father will naturally prefer them over her like all machos would. She disagrees at first but then doubts start creeping into her mind. Chiro also knows that her mother didn't sleep in her room last night (Manuela was out looking for Dulce's body) The brat asks how he would know that. Chiro says that she wasn't complaining about her, so she must not have been home.

VENCER Page two

Paloma tells a questioning Walter that she could not give him an answer to his proposal because she had just found out that Dulce was dead. She will have to get back to him because she is upset and has to talk to the other women about Dulce. When she does talk to Walter, it turns out that he had talked with Franco at the office before he talked to her. Franco told him thatt he loved Paloma but he wanted Walter to sound Paloma out to see if she was really over him. Walter took that as a green light. Paloma is beside herself thinking that the two men were trying to decide her future for her. She shows Walter the door and makes sure he takes his ring with him. She talks with Franco and tells him how angry she is that he and Walter were plotting behind her back. Franco tells her how much he is in love with her, like nobody before. He only wanted to see her happily married to someone. He didn't think that a relationship between them would last because of his HIV and she would tire of him because of it. He only wanted the best for her. Walter and Franco meet to discuss their situation with Paloma over and over again. What to do? Walter concludes they have only one choice which they never tell us.

Paloma's parents actually have gotten jobs. They miss the good life with Paloma but they miss her even more. They are sorry how they used her.

Carmina tells Nancy that she has to find Damián before Pablo does. Carmina is annoyed by Pablo 's break with his homophobia. She blames Manuela and her new-fangled ideas. Carmina thinks that being homophobic is the only way to be. What is right is right and what is wrong is wrong. She will not raise Pablito in these new ways. Pablito pipes up with the fact that he is getting diversity training at school and that you have to treat all people with respect. People with different sexual preferences are born that way. Later, Carmina wonders if Leandro knows about Pablo and Manuela. She decides she needs to go talk to him about them.

At Enrique's Susana the younger is dancing around trying to show an overtly bored brat some of her dance moves. Suddenly Susana the younger hits the ground. She has fainted. At the hospital, the doctor discovers that she has been taking Korean diet pills and not eating in order to lose weight. She is malnourished and slightly anemic. She has also been wearing a ribbon tied around her middle to make her uncomfortable if she eats too much. The doctor is going to have her talk to a nutritionist while she is in the hospital. Susana the younger tells her unsympathetic mother Susana the elder that she wants too be just like the brat!!! That is her goal. Susana the Elder goes to Enrique's and blames the brat for what happened to her daughter. She is a bad influence! (I would add a BAD SEED)

VENCER Page 3

Yaneli finds out that the charges against Edgar were dropped by the prosecutors because of a lack of evidence. She is upset. Axel has an idea. He suggests that they "kill" Edgardo" socially. They can damage his image by telling the truth about him so that parents won't trust him anymore.

Pablo asks Manuela to go to the motel which is in one of Dulce's photo. They show the manager photos of Dulce and Damián and tell him that they might have been there a few years ago. He says they do not look familiar and emphasizes the amount of people who check in and out every day. Pablo starts to get angry out of his desperation but Manuela leads him away before he gets too inappropriate. Little do they know that Leandro's spy guy is taking photos of them outside of the motel together. At the end of the episode, Leandro will send Manuela the photos asking her how the brat would feel if she saw these photos of her and Pablo. .

Victor, Yaneli's brother from teh USA, pops up with his wife? and his daughter?

Manuela tells Angeles all of the stress with the Dulce situation is bringing back bad memories and nightmares. Angeles tells her it is time to let them go.

Nico meets with Amanda expecting his full cash payment. Sorry, he is only getting a down payment. Amanda is acutely aware he is trying to reconcile with Tamara. She reminds him what the original deal was. Money in exchange for his DISAPPEARANCE.

Leandro is still bothered by his father mentioning a letter and wanting him to have a DNA test done on the brat. He gives his lawyer some of his sister's hair to get a DNA test done. He arranges a meeting with Tamara and his mother when the results come back. The results show that Tamara is his half-sister. Who was her father? Amanda says that is not quite right. Tamara's father was Everardo. LEANDRO'S father was not Everardo.

That is it for me tonight.

MINAS #89 Part 1

I’ve tried to decipher the dialogue as best I can. Some events are purposely vague or glossed over. Kindly fill in and/or correct as necessary.

The board of directors have just voted on whether or not to give Tigre a place at the table. Naturally, it’s a tie and Marijo is charged with casting the deciding vote. Clearly conflicted, she is silent for a few moments. She then states that Tigre is a good person; but she is voting no. Emilia tries to hide her surprise, looking sideways at her. Roberta insults Tigre and Victoria stands, asking her not to demean Tigre in her presence.

Guilty, half awake Sebas rubs his aching forehead, the coffee he is drinking clearly not enough of a stimulant to bring him relief. Miriam brings up Victoria, the elephant in the room. Sebas simply stares.

Orlando has somewhat come to his senses as he is back at Jenny’s bedside. He asks her what happened as he sits on the bed as she holds his hands. She is beside herself. I think he tells her there should be no secrets, but she certainly looked guilty as she hugged him. I’m unclear as to what she told him.

Danilo talks to Aleida, but her mind is miles away. She tells him Jenny lost the baby, her nieto. She cries although she is trying to be brave. He tells her Romina is at Tigre’s. He is upbeat talking about Romina but Leo’s presence casts a dark cloud. He talks about Romina being of his blood.

Victoria and Roberta continue their verbal sparring. After Roberta carries on about HER nieto, Leo leaves rather disgustedly. Victoria reminds Marijo about her brother, gives her the side eye and leaves. Marijo, distraught, asks for forgiveness in an empty room.

As Nico leaves school, he learns he’s not going back to Tigre’s. The maid is there to collect him to take him to La Patrona’s!

Sebastian takes his leave of Miriam by thanking her for everything. With only a guilty look, without a hug or a kiss, he simply leaves. She does not seem deterred but smiles.

Gigi and her young fox Manuelito are working out in the gym; he defends her honor for which she thanks him.

Nico, the male version of Rapunzel (sans hair), calls Victoria from his not so ivory tower. He is back in the dark dungeon of Roberta. Patience she beseeches him, sitting and folding her hands with worry.

Gael overhears two miners making plans for nefarious doings in the mine. He calls Victoria as Leo comes in apologizing for his mother and sister’s actions at the meeting.

MINAS #89 Part 2 of 3

Roberta visits Joaquina in jail as Ezequiel handcuffs her to the bars. She hugs her mockingly, invoking Leo and Marijo’s name causing Jo to dissolve into tears. She rubs her shoulders and leaves.

Sara takes a picture of Emilia out of the frame and rips it up in jealousy.

Gigi and her eye and arm candy make a video of them in the gym. The women are gathered watching it and Fatima (who I’ve been calling Patti) is demeaning her. The group doesn’t agree with her and Fatima stalks off, murmuring “Roberta” under her breath.

Fidel is meeting with Roberta and as Ezequiel hands her an envelope, she tells Fidel Emilia is alive! Opening the envelope, she stares in amazement and mutters “it’s impossible”. It appears the papers show the exhumation results confirm the deceased IS Emilia. She is incredulous.

A still shell shocked Sebas tells Aleida and Danilo that Clemente is dead. Aleida says he is not responsible but Sebas feels great guilt as he runs his hands though his hair. His conscience clearly bothering him, Aleida tries to soothe him. He asks about Emilia and Aleida tells him she is with Leo, which is the last thing he wants to hear.

Fidel, looking at Roberta as though she has lost her mind, tells her Emilia is dead. Roberta says no, she is alive. At that point Fidel dismisses Ezequiel and makes a call.

Addled has more bags of crap to promote Sara’s candidacy, posters and t-shirts bearing her likeness. Fatima comes in and he kisses her hand. She has obviously defected and is there to accept his job offer. He gives her a cringeworthy hug and rolls his eyes lasciviously.

Leo and Victoria are spying on the operation, watching Patricio in action. It appears they are doing something illegal with the non-gold minerals from the mine.

Diana

MINAS #89 Part 3 of 3

Roberta grabs the phone from Fidel who tells her she is looking for a ghost. She pushes him and calls him a traitor. Oh, and by the way? Joaquina is free; it’s nothing personal.

We see Joaquina has indeed been sprung as she is on the “outside” talking with Marijo, Gael and his barnacle Cayetano.

Nico calls Gael, very sad because Roberta has imprisoned him. Gael tells him to be calm..

Victoria and Leo are hiding behind a truck as the illegal operation proceeds. She is very concerned about Leo and wants to ensure he is safe.

Fatima tells Addled Victoria is financing Gigi.

Danilo visits Sara and is delighted to see Romina but Inez quickly spirits her away, much to his chagrin. Mi hija he whispers. Sara freaks out and as she rants and insults him, it seems he might finally be realizing who Sara really is. After, Sara collapses in angry tears.

Addled harasses Flor as Miriam listens unobserved. She confronts Flor and now understanding everything, rips open the packet of drugs. She starts to stalk off and Flor holds her back saying she did it to help Miriam.

Unbelievably, Joaquina has returned to Roberta’s. Cayetana and Marijo leave as Roberta confronts her. You are an assassin Roberta tells her.

Gael tells Sebas what has transpired with Joaquina. He says Victoria is Emilia just as Tigre comes in. “Victoria is Emilia” he repeats obviously taken aback.

Roberta swears to Joaquina that she will reveal her secret, but Joaquina threatens to reveal that she killed Leonardo's father. Roberta flashes back to a scene from years ago where a young Roberta is being beseeched by Joaquina to help her. She tells her again she is an assassin. But then, Joaquina threatens to reveal that Roberta murdered Leo and Mau’s father!

Nico comes down the stairs hugging Victoria as she and Leo arrive. The three hug, Nico safe in the middle. Just then Benito (Danilo) calls Leo. He tells him he is going to be receiving an important document shortly. Sure enough, Leo receives a text transmission. Leo is reading aloud, and the report confirms that Danilo is indeed Romina’s father!

VENCER

Jarifa, your summary was sensational. I devoured every word which shed light on much that I couldn’t interpret. A few surprise revelations yet most secrets remain elusive, still buried waiting to be unearthed at a later date.

“She is a bad influence! (I would add a BAD SEED)” was my favorite line of many.

The ease with which Leandro lies and manipulates is disturbing and frightening. That is why his look of shock and disbelief upon learning it was he who isn’t Everardo’s child gave me a great deal of satisfaction. He thought he had it all figured out but he was wrong.

I am hopeful that Dulce still might be alive although I’m mystified why Genaro told the police she was. Who is threatening him and what exactly was Dulce caught up in? Not to mention Damian, who seems to be a piece of the puzzle that just doesn’t fit.

Leandro has some connection to Genaro; I’m not sure why he is representing him, he does nothing out of the goodness of his heart.

“Chiro also knows that her mother didn't sleep in her room last night (Manuela was out looking for Dulce's body) The brat asks how he would know that…” Although she asked the right question, she seemed to accept the wrong answer.

I had thought Leandro might have been Chiro but I don’t think so now. Could it possibly be Edgar?

I dread Carmina seeking out Leandro…

Minas
Thanks, Diana. I'm glad I didn't have to recap Sebas scenes with Miriam because I find her disturbing now.
I would have expected anything from Miriam butthat she would creep me out wasn't among my options. So what is the difference between her and Cayetana in terms of how they see things?I'm guessing Cayetana won't get Gael but how is Miriam gettin to sleep with Sebas supposed to be some kind of 'a win' for her? Is this again that whole female empowerment plot they can't seem to do right? I was disturbed by Miriam talking about how great it was they made love when Sebas is clearly not happy. Does Miriam ever think about anyone else except herself? She is no better than Sara. I'm now even more confused by this telenovela. Ruining a good thing is a skill too I suppose.
Orlando said he hopes there aren't any more secrets and Jen said he knows everything about her.I imagine it's the whole abortion issue. So are they going to let Orlando judge her once she tells him about it? If those who wrote this honestly think he has a right to do this, they seriously need to write about something else. Miriam even says 'little by little you'll return to me'. I mean, he was never really 'with her' so what is this 'return' she is talking about? She sounds rather delusional at this point.
Gigi changed her mind again and again says shecan offer Manolito a job because she needs an assistant. She asks him whayt he studied and he responds he was a year away from finishing his administration studies. Gigi will help him finish it.
Flor wasn't making any sense when she told Miriam 'do it for your son'. What? Sell drugs?
Cayetana actually told Joaquina she helped her without any selfish reasons. How can a girl think anyone would like her when she lies like this? I mean, surely she has enough self-awareness to know no one likes such people. I hate how they always make servants so ignorant to the point where youth is no longer an excuse.
Sara is just so stupid that I cannot believe it. Who hands someone a weapon and then dares threaten them?
Sebas is clearly angry that Emilia once again went off to solve problems with Leo. That scene was very unappealing, though, simply because Emilia had to explain to Leo why his mother was doing this. I had to laugh when after that he again said 'she doesn't love me'. We know that already, Leo. And you should go to a therapist if you bring it up to people you barely know every chance you get. Ultimately this seems to be the only thing Leo cares about. What is the point of having him in this story? His is a story of someone who has been abused emotionally and isn't able to deal with it because he wasn't given proper help. But romance with such a man sounds like a terrible idea.
I wonder what Gigi will say once she learns Victoria has made a deal with Fidel. I hope Victoria is lying.
I was very upset Sebas really had no one to talk to about what he has witnessed. Miriam has offered her help but she has other motives for doing this so I wouldn't trust her. That actress really managed to make me hate this character.
I think they are processing waste at that otherfactory. I think Emilia said the Gloria doesn't have permission for this.

Vencer #46/47

Gracias, Jarifa. We are over the hump and things are finally moving.

I am also suspecting that Leandro is behind all the mysteries and bad things happening. I am prepared to assume he is worse than his paternal mentor because he is more intelligent and more devious. His tantrum was truly scary when he read the DNA results on himself.

Does this mean that he can be disinherited if this becomes public? I'm guessing that Nico thinks that. However I don't know if he has the brains or the cojones to bulldoze that one through.

This link shows that this could happen in New Jersey, USA. I was unable to get this information about Mexico but based on Leandro's reaction I'm guessing that it could happen there. However, if I were in the legal profession I would lobby for a statute of limitations on the test. DNA testing had been with us for a little over 30 years so somebody should have thought about this long ago... and TN writers need to learn what is in effect when coming up with these plot twists.

As to the children...

I don't think that the trip to S. Korea will happen, especially now that Leandro is going to kick Amanda out of his life. As for his in-laws, they might be just as misogynistic as he is and Everude-o was so they will probably believe his BS about Lorena being mentally ill, probably in the short term. At least his sons and The Brat are questioning it.

Both The Brat and Susanna the Younger are playing with fire. Eugenio is right to hold his daughter responsible for the latter.

I will believe in Paloma's parents' regret only when they pay her back for anything she shouldn't have had to pay for.

MINAS

Waterlily, thank you for all the valuable information you provided! I am so appreciative.

I smiled at your wry "Ruining a good thing is a skill too I suppose".

I feel the writers were tired of us championing Sebas and decided they wanted to do something definitive to derail that. But I'm confused rather than angry as his dalliance with Miriam doesn't ring true to his character. I also like her less and less with each passing episode.

As do most of the characters here, Leo needs psychiatric counseling. He is still the little boy lost who cannot accept that his mother doesn't love him and as you noted, mewls incessantly to anyone who will listen.

Leo and Victoria shared a few smokey, longing looks as they spied on what was transpiring last night but you can't start an inferno without a flame and the writers are still holding back from that occurring. Perhaps finding out Romina is Danilo's will jump start the seemingly dead in the water divorce?? Sara's future looks increasingly murky.

I worry most about Jenny. She needs to tell Orlando about the abortion and must do it now.

Are we ever going to find out Joaquina and Roberta's deepest, darkest secrets?

Waterlily, I hope you are feeling better...thank you again for all you contribute.

Diana

Minas #89

Thanks, amigas.

I said before under Vencer that writers need to update their coverage of human experience and law. There is no shame in having an abortion and if hers was badly done that needs to be addressed. She also needs a shrink.

Roberta still has 18 episodes left to wreak more havoc on this town. We now need the Big Revelation to push her over the edge. While I think that madness is usually worse than death she is too dangerous to leave alive. Nothing seems adequate to stop her from torturing the undeserving.

I like Waterlily's comparison of Miriam to Cayetana. Both are delusional but Cayetana is still young enough and not in too deep to recover. Miriam has no self-esteem and is doing nothing about it.

After her torturous marriage to Addled I wish Gigi success as a cougar.

That leather-look outfit of Em/Vic's is showing her pending victory over Roberta. Very dominatrix!

Vencer

Thanks Jarifa, what a great recap. This show is just speeding by with all it’s twists and turns.

I agree that the brat wasn’t responsible for Susana taking the pills but she has never been nice to her and wants to exclude her from her group of friends. Her friends seem more willing to accept her while the brat is just one of those mean girls. Her new grandmother doesn’t seem to see the real Julieta. I feel like we’re the only ones who know she’s a brat!

Loved seeing Leandro so wrong about the testing. And if he thought it was his sister that had a different father he should have talked to his mother first. That would be none of his business. I think Amanda might soon be seeing the real Leandro.

Even though we know the picture of Manuela and Pablo is an innocent picture it sure doesn’t look that way with the motel sign big as life in the background.

Choro seems to be following everyone connected with the brat. How does he know so much!

Carmina is horrible. She really is working against Pablo. She doesn’t want him to find Damian. I’m fearful of what will happen when she teams up with Leandro.

Vencer #46/47

Forgot to mention the scene where the women went to the location where the was not found. I suspect that fiscalia is crooked because of how nasty he got with them. Considering how dismissive he has been with Manuela in the past he is on my shit list.

MINAS

Urban, although the end is in sight, there is more than ample time for Roberta to continue her unabated destruction and devastation, I completely agree.

I have to have faith that Jenny and Orlando will work through all of this and be together at the end. They are really the only couple who seem likely to or who deserve their HEA.

I would like to see Gigi in a healthy and happy relationship. I'm not quite sure Manolito is "it", but hey, if she is happy, so am I.

Dear Diana and Waterlily, thank you both for that tag team recap as the crazy spins , and we all settle in to a new year with hopes for better times ahead .

So...the writers are offering up girl power now in the form of Gigi becoming a cougar who will finance Manuelito's return to college for that business degree . Okay . Meanwhile, Miriam is counting her blessings as Sebas leaves her bed with his head hanging as if someone caught him stealing cookies . Winning ??? Okay .

What lesson are the writers bringing us with Jen weeping and Orlando judging ?

Has the light finally dawned and is Stoned -in -love finally getting a good look at Sara ? I am personally tired of looking at her .

Leo...I can't even....Writers you let both Oswaldo and me down giving him a galan role with no hero qualities . I dont need a hero who sighs and frets and does nothing .

My hope is that the actor playing Sebas ( Carlos?) and Rodrigo Brand have proven that they are ready for roles as galans. I would like to see them both in leading roles ....if any powers that be are reading this.

Now, as we march toWard the end of the mine entrance searching for daylight , I am looking forward to " El Amor No Tiene Receta." I want to be above the ground again. Next....

Minas

Thanks, Diana, you did a great job on the retell. I feel like this show is going in circles. In jail, out of jail, in love, out of love, on x’s side, against x. Hard to keep up.

I always thought Roberta must have killed her first husband. Did she plant that scene in Leo’s head so it became real to him? Or did it happen like that but his dad was being poisoned. Someone said Roberta would end up in an asylum and I’m beginning to believe that. She killed Mauricio but always insists Emilia did it. And she says Joaquina killed Ignacio. She is crazy. I think Fidel is starting to suspect it too.

Clemente’s death really affected Sebas. So he goes to Miriam! And I think Addled wants Miriam to sell the drugs so she can get caught by the crooked cop. Then he’ll claim his son.

I hope Danilo is taking a good hard look at Sara. But he was wrong to send the DNA to Leo. He needed to wait until the group gets their justice.

So will Tigre know that Emilia is Victoria or will they make up some story about what they were talking about.

Liz

Things are really progressing now. : )

Diana, thanks. "Leandro has some connection to Genaro; I’m not sure why he is representing him, he does nothing out of the goodness of his heart." You are right about that. It seems like this mystery is going to be much more complicated than I had expected. " I had thought Leandro might have been Chiro but I don’t think so now. Could it possibly be Edgar?" Another good possibility. There is so much to be discovered! I am loving this part of the novela.

Liz, thanks, "Loved seeing Leandro so wrong about the testing." Me, too. He was so smug and sure of himself, as usual, and then his mommy pulled the rug out from out of him. "Carmina is horrible. She really is working against Pablo. She doesn’t want him to find Damian. I’m fearful of what will happen when she teams up with Leandro." That could be a deadly combination. I wonder how long we gillahve to wait until that meeting. I guess it will depend how upset Leandro is.

Urban, thanks for the link. I have no idea about the ins and outs inheritance laws in Mexico either. That being said, Amanda still has the power since she did inherit the bulk of Everardo's estate. I do not think she has distributed any $$ to either of her children yet since she told Leandro to arrange her access to cash from her inheritance so she could buy supplies, etc. for her pet shop when it was really for no good Nico. Amanda's problem is that she is a pushover.

Vencer

Jarifa, thank you for every detail .

My first thought is that getting a lawyer who was the person who filed the charges against you in the first place probably isn't a good idea . ( However, I am not an attorney nor have I ever played one in a telenovela....just sayin') Susan , Captain Obvious

VENCER

Susan, I didn’t get the reasoning either. Manuela was the only one with her head on straight. Yaneli was just desperate. Amanda doesn't have the best judgment as we have seen more than once.

MINAS

Susan, thank you!

"Miriam is counting her blessings as Sebas leaves her bed with his head hanging as if someone caught him stealing cookies . Winning ??? Okay" mirrored that scene exactly.

I agree with you that Danilo has finally removed his blinders and started seeing exactly who Sara is. And the vision is a disturbing and ugly one.

Jenny is so traumatized; she needs professional help to heal. I am fervently hoping Orlando is with her for the duration.

Carlos and Danilo definitely deserve galan roles. I will add Orlando to my wish list as well.

Diana

MINAS

Thank you for your kind, encouraging words Liz. They are truly appreciated!

"Going in circles" is perfect!! This is hardly moving, only inching forward, painful detail by detail.

I do think Roberta killed her first husband but as you so astutely noted, there is so much back and forth, with changing and challenging themes it's hard to keep everything straight. Not that we know all that much at this point either!!

Thank you so much for "I think Addled wants Miriam to sell the drugs so she can get caught by the crooked cop. Then he’ll claim his son" which makes perfect sense!

Diana

Vencer

Terrific job, Jarifa. Things are moving at warp speed now. So many important threads to hang onto. Thanks again for recapping these double epis.

Susanna the older was wrong of course to take everything out on Julieta, but I can't stand the brat so I enjoyed her tirade against her. Now who will help Susanna the younger with her self-image? I guess it's up to Enrique.

That was a super impactante at the end. I haven't seen a good one like that in a TN in awhile.

Yaneli's oldest brother picks now to show up with his family? Just a coincidence?

Minas #89

Rodrigo Brand (Danilo) will definitely be a lead soon. He is 28 and too handsome to waste on anything else.

Vencer

Jarifa, thank you so much. You brought us every twisty turn .

I wonder how Victor will fit into this mix, and if he will find any clues to help solve the mysteries.

Diet drugs from Korea. Okay .

I am beginning to suspect that Damien is Kiro. He seems to be everywhere and knows what everyone is up to . He is talking against both of Bratty's parents . Guy definitely has a chip on his shoulder about parents and an agenda . hmmm...Sounds like that could be Damien who was thrown out of the house by dad as a young teen thanks to his evil stepmom.

I guess we have no heroes in this show. Susan

VENCER

Niecie, thanks. I am okay with the double episodes knowing they are ending on Monday. : ) "That was a super impactante at the end. I haven't seen a good one like that in a TN in awhile." Me either. It will be interesting to see if Víctor and his brood are here for serious action or if they will end up being comic relief.

Susan, thanks. "I am beginning to suspect that Damien is Kiro." Now that would be a good twist. We have only seen the back of Chiro's hoodie and we have yet to see Damián as an adult so that could very well be. .

MINAS Programming

The Comcast guide is now showing Mujer running for two hours tomorrow night, Friday, 9-11 ET.

It appears there will be no Minas tomorrow night but I'll check again in the morning just to be sure! :)
