I will do a recap of tonight's (Monday) episode.

vuelve

1/8/24 Pt 1 of 2

Santiago tells Amalia that she’ll have problems if she tries to keep Nuria away from her child. He also says that she needs to accept that the child should be with his real mother.

Braulio tells Amalia he’s gotten fond of Juandres, while she tells him he only wanted the boy to have control of the stock (including the shares Roberto left for Juandres). She tells him she’ll fight for the boy herself; she’s not going back with Braulio.

Euge and Chalo talk about Consuelo having deceived her sister. But they both knew Fausto was a bad person all along.

Liana whines on the sofa to Mia. Illogically she says that she doesn’t know how to be a mother because hers wasn’t there. [What? Her mother was there until she was 8 or 9 years old, as we’ve seen dozens of times.] [I’ve had good friendships with coworkers but this one is weird. Only in a telenovela do you tell a coworker about believing you killed your parents; that the baby may not be Santi’s because there’s other candidates; and that she had sex with Braulio while an adolescent. AND that she learned to manipulate men with sex. Whew!]

Martha swings wildly between good sense and none at all in this episode. She tells Aida that they shouldn’t keep Juandres by force from his own mother.

At the hospital Casandra tells Mariano she thought that Martha had changed. But she just wants to take everything away, her school, her friends, and, most of all, Ari.

Carmen tells Chenta about Andres being found but that Braulio has him. Chenta has been borrowing clothes from the store.

Nuria tells Ros about Andres having been adopted by Braulio. She sobs, talking about his not recognizing her at all, about his having been hit by a car. She says that she’s lost him. She apparently still believes that Braulio got involved with her so as to take her child. Ros tells her that Santiago was right. Consuelo knew where the boy was.

Mariano tells Martha that he’ll help Ari legally if she won’t.

Santi tells Alberto that, while Nuria will eventually get her child back, she’ll lose her sister.

I’m glad to see Chelo didn’t slip out leaving that note before Nuria had a chance to confront her. “Why did you do it?” Chelo admits that she knew where Andres was. Nuria reminds her of how she cared for her little sister when their parents died. She fed her sometimes and did not eat herself. Chelo says she tried to tell her many times. After lots and lots of ugly crying she tells her sister that Fausto threatened her.

1/8/24 Pt 2 of 2

Mariano tells Martha that, if she keeps on insisting that she knows best, he’ll take Consuelo to live with him.

Santi and Alberto talk some more about Juandres. They still wonder how he got to Aguascalientes from Juarez. Santi says that there has to be more to what Chelo did to her sister than just money.

Chelo whines on. She says that she thought Andres was dead at first. Jacinto was the one who thought he might be alive. Then Amalia showed up in Juarez. Nuria: “Yes, and you took money and said that my son was yours (to Amalia). You used that money to buy my sewing machine! And to help with Rai’s surgery! You ruined my life. I don’t have my baby. You have no heart.” Chelo tells her that, if she told Nuria the truth, Fausto said he’d kill Nuria, just like he killed Jacinto.

Mia holds Liana in the shower, and we see blood. Looks like neither Braulio nor Tigre are going to be fathers anytime soon. Later she tells Mia about Braulio raping her.

Juandres talks about the bracelet that Nuria wore, the one like his own. Amalia, rather manipulatively, asks if somehow she found his real mother, would he like to know her. She gets what she wants. He hugs her and says she’s the only mama he wants.

Santiago finds those sales figures from the stores that Tigre had Chenta request. Santi sees the numbers and immediately figures out that Braulio is running two sets of books.

Chelo goes on with her tale. [They must have used a LOT of raw onions to get all those tears from the two actors.] Jacinto found out that the child they buried was not Andres. Nuria responds that Chelo is an accomplice to a murder and the extorsion of Amalia. Both are crimes. Chelo falls to her knees begging forgiveness.

Euge and Carmel are folding clothes and talking about what Consuelo did. Then Euge confides her doubts about whether she loves Chalo or just sees him as a friend. She says she may be in love with someone else.

Casandra is furious with Martha about Ari. She realizes that her legs don’t work and becomes hysterical.

Tigre comes to see Liana and is very rude to Mia when told she’s indisposed.

Amalia comes to see Diego for some comfort.

Chelo is about to leave with Jacintito in a baby carriage when Chalo wonders how she’ll manage with a newborn. And maybe Fausto is looking for her.

Nuria sobs and tells Ros and Euge that she’ll never forgive Chelo.

"VUELVE" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:

Novelera: Sounds like Liana killed the unbirn baby in some way.

Sigh! This is why I am 100 percent Pro-Life.

Vuelve

Novelera,, wow, thank you for every exhausting moment .

Yes, Chelo, time to pay the piper . Gee, this role must have been exhausting to play . This actress has cried in almost every episode , and then we had those earlier episodes of Fausto smarming all over her on that sofa...bleeccchh. Did she get any kind of extra hazard pay ? She only had a few blissful moments with sweet Jacinto. Did Chelo actually name the baby Jacinto? Snap , Fausto, you have been played .

What happened to Liana ? Did she have a miscarriage ? Will she still try to tell Santi that he will be a father? What is her next move? Susan

Susan, I decided to call Chelo's baby Jacintito because she seemed pretty sure he was the father. I don't think he's ever been addressed by any name. She kept making sure Fausto didn't know how far along she was because she was afraid he'd murder her if it wasn't his baby. And he also was sure that his Super Sperm would never result in a female child. I keep hoping we're done with him, but getting rid of a villain too early is not the Telenovela Way.

Also, Liana told Mia, the ever-present assistant, that she had gotten the pills we saw her take from a doctor. So this means induced abortion instead of an accidental miscarriage. She really has never wanted a child. Plus she has no idea who the father is.

Vuelve

Thank you Novelera, you captured it all and so concisely! I wish I had that talent!

Susan, yes, it looks like she miscarried. She took pills that were supposed to induce a miscarriage and then all that blood in the shower points to it. Although I guess it should be called an abortion and not a miscarriage since she induced it.

I'm curious to see what affect talking to Diego will have on Amelia's attitude. Maybe he will help her find her compassion. I'd also like to see Nuria go to talk to Diego, I wonder how that conversation would go.

I'm probably alone in this but I actually think Chelo is forgivable, and that Nuria will forgive her in time. What she did is horrible, really really horrible. But she didn't do it out of malice or greed; she did it out of fear and stupidity. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but the moment I saw Chalo keep her from leaving because she might be in danger from Fausto, I got the impression that the Chelo is going to be redeemed.

So Euge is aware enough to realize she might be falling in love with Carmen but she's not brave enough to say it yet.

Vuelve

Well, if Euge gets a HEA with Carmen , that frees up Chalo to be with Chelo. Chalo and Chelo...now that I see those names actually typed together On my tablet screen ...I really want it to happen . I truly, really do.

"VUELVE" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:
Darcy: The sooner this Telenovela ends, thr better. I'm waiting for the return of "ESDLC".

Susan: Wake me up when the Good Guys FINALLY emerge victorious.

Novelera: Good Job with the recap of last night's episode.

Ending the pregnancy might be the most sensible decision Liana has made to date, what with her trying to murder people and all, including Juandres. That just doesn't sound like someone who should be responsible for a baby. And Amelia can't adopt because she will be busy with Diego and his daughter, assuming they get together, which duh. Of course they will. As soon as she stops trying to manipulate the heck out of Juandres. I'm not liking her right now. I'm a little surprised Diego hasn't been charged with his ex's murder yet. He seems like an obvious suspect, for a novela and for real life. But most surprising is that Mia was Liana's assistant?? She was behaving like a super best friend that Liana hasn't done much to deserve. Turns out she's the world's greatest assistant that Liana hasn't done much to deserve. If the company survives, Mia needs a promotion and a big fat raise.

Do we think Eugenia's new love is Carmencita? That would be quite the twist, although I think Carmen could maybe do better.

1/9/24 – a quickie

We see the beginnings of a likely Chelo/Chalo relationship. He tells her he lost his sister, but she still has hers. She needs to try for forgiveness.

Amelia and Diego talk. She tells him about Nuria being the bio mom. Diego says it’s all his fault for running into the child with his car so that he lost his memory. Eventually they agree that his taking him to the hospital was better than his wandering around in Aguascalientes not knowing who he was.

Nuria tells Ros and Euge everything that happened at Casa Zepeda. Andres didn’t recognize her and how much her son seemed happy and loving that family.

Fausto calls Amelia to hit her up for money. [Amelia, you do know you can block calls, don’t you?] She lets him have it with both barrels about he and Consuelo knowing that Nuria is the mother. She threatens him with calling the police about a kidnapping, and he hangs up showing crazy eyes.

Ros reminds Nuria of all the bravery she has shown, all the marches for her son. She insists they go to the police.

A henchman tells Sapo about the police guarding Casa Zepeda. He still says he’ll merendar (bump off) Martha and Amelia. He’s added the heir (Juandres) to his revenge list.

Chelo comes to breakfast with the baby, and Nuria gets up and leaves.

Braulio comes up with a plan. He tells Nuria he'll divorce Amelia, and Nuria will be Andres' stepmom. She sends him packing.

Fausto does it again. He calls Chelo and outright says that SHE helped to kidnap Andres. She tells him to kick rocks. He does find out that no one knows he kidnapped the boy.

Santi comes to see Liana. She’s cool to him and asks him to take his things. He finds the paper positive pregnancy test. She angrily tells him that it was a mistake; she’s NOT pregnant.

Casandra is in a state about not being able to walk. She does warm up to Juandres. She gives him a ride around the hallway in the wheelchair.

Nuria and Ros go to see the cop, the same one that arrested her for shooting Braulio IIRC. She insists that the Zepedas have her son.

Nuria and Ros show up at Casa Zepeda with the cops. Amelia insists she won{t give her child to this woman.

Vuelve

Thanks Novelera! I was so tired all day today, it really helps to have a reminder of what I watched.

So, Liana has a second chance to trap Santi, the good old make him believe you are pregnant even when you're not, and she doesn't take it! Does she even know she's in a novela? Many novela bad girls before her have had to do very shady, doctor bribing, test changing, type things to get false positive pregnancy notes and she has a real one (though she's no longer pregnant) and doesn't even use it??? I think she could get kicked out of the novela bad girls club for that!!! Though I do think her attitude is a bit healthier... not the murderous tendencies and all that, just the I'm not going to have a baby to keep you out of pity part.

I have been shocked since day 1 that Braulio didn't use the news about Andres to get into Nuria's good graces. I expected him to fly off to return the long-lost son and be a hero and was shocked when he took the I'm never giving him up road!! Then Amelia reminded me that Braulio needs Andres for the company shares, but Braulio found his way to do both, marry me and you can be his step-mom? Fool please!!! Clearly this guy doesn't watch novelas either, Andres is going to recover his memory sooner or later.

Both Nuria and Ros were downright hostile to the cop when asking for help, especially Ros. I mean I get that they've experienced a lot of injustice and we've certainly seen how corrupt the system is for women, but do you really expect to win someone's favor and get their help by antagonizing them?? I guess so, because it worked; but my mom taught me the whole catch more flies with honey concept.

Can't wait to see what happens tonight. Which I will watch in the morning. I too will probably put up a shorter recap because I have someone coming to my house right after work to help me with build a pantry and I won't have much time. I'll get something written up though.

Vuelve

Novelera, thank you for bringing us a recap of all the unfolding misery.

And yes ...yes...the writers seem to be going there ...A match up between ...say it with me...Chelo and Chalo. Yes . It's going to be a sea of tears and hair .

It finally seems to have dawned on evil genius Fausto that he might not be bulletproof and that things may be turning against him . Tick tock , Fausto . Time to be revealed for all your evil deeds , including cheating the audience out of more scenes with sweet, delusional Jacinto. ...for which I will personally never forgive this guy . Susan

Vuelve – 1/10/23 part 1

*** Today’s recap is grouping together whole interactions regardless of what order they appeared. For example, the entire Andres confrontation is recapped in one paragraph instead of spread out like it was in the episode.

As we saw previously, Nuria, Ros and the police arrive at Amelia’s and there’s a big showdown over Andres. (I’ve decided to just call him Andres now that everyone knows that’s who he is). Amelia is still sticking to her guns and refusing to let anyone take her son. She tries to insist to the police that the boy who lives there is Juan Zepeda, but after many not quite dodged questions, Martha admits to the official that Juan and Andres are the same person. This is about all the help we get from Martha as she seems to have reverted to Team Amelia. The official insists they bring Andres down and what follows is another confusing and probably traumatic experience for a scared little boy. Ros is just aggressive-aggressive and honestly of no help, she probably hindered in many ways as she practically tried to drag Andres out of there. Nuria is more level-headed and gentler though, telling Andres over and over again that he is the most important thing to her, and she would do anything for him. There’re a few moments where it looks like there might be a connection being made, but Andres still doesn’t remember Nuria and doesn’t want to be taken from his mom, Amelia. Things get heated but ultimately Nuria decides to leave once again for Andres’ sake. And what did the police do/say? Not much, other than check to see if Andres was being abused. The cop seemed to have the attitude that it’s okay to legally adopt a kidnapped child and keep him from his real mother as long as you don’t abuse him. He said it was a matter for the courts and not the police.

Braulio arrives at work and starts berating Chenta! For everything from calling Sani ‘your brother’ instead of Mr. Zepeda to not being able to read Santi’s mind and tell him what his brother wanted. I would say this is just to show us what a jerk Braulio is, but we already know this; no, this is to give Alberto an excuse to jump to Miss Chenta’s defense and let all of viewerville know that Alberto has a crush!!! These two flirt a little through two interactions and Alberto even buys her a coffee – at the company coffee machine! LOL

Braulio was looking for Tigre before he unloaded on Tigre and when Tigre appears, Braulio starts in on how the police presence at his house is too obvious and the family is asking too many questions. Tigre says Braulio should worry less about that and more about the mad man who is trying to kill him, duh! Braulio is worried about him; in fact, he later calls the DEA guy to increase his own personal protection. Tigre says he can help with that, but Braulio says to let the police do their jobs! Braulio has a different job for Tigre, he wants him to find Fausto!!

Santi makes it into Braulio’s office and it’s to discuss the financial reports he found and how they are nothing like what Braulio showed the board. Braulio defends, saying he was trying to cover up for the incompetent work of some employees who were daddy’s favorites. The reports Santi has are incorrect and the ones Braulio presented were the correct ones. Santi isn’t buying this but Braulio refuses to defend himself any further and accuses Santi of coming after the presidency again. Next, Braulio tries to change the subject to the Andres issues, but Santi just laughs and says he can’t believe Braulio is trying to change the subject. No problem, he’ll get an outside auditor for the books!!! He smells money laundering. Braulio says that’s fine, he has nothing to hide; but after Santi leaves it’s clear he’s about to melt down!

Vuelve – 1/10/23 part 2

Tigre encounters Chenta in the office, luckily not while she was talking to Alberto. He congratulated her on getting the reports and putting them where he told her to, they were found! So, I guess Tigre’s intent was to get Braulio exposed, no surprise there. Chenta is increasingly uncomfortable, and she doesn’t want to be involved in this! She’s not exactly sure what ‘this’ is, but she’s street smart enough to know she’s landed herself in the middle of some shady business. After Tigre gives her chilling assurances, she looks up and says she never should have dropped out of school and ran away from home; she was better off then. Now everything seems bleak, but I’m thinking Alberto could change that.

Right before she brought Andres into the living room at the police officer’s insistence, Aida called Braulio to tell him the police were there with Nuria, and he must get there NOW! Braulio literally runs out of the office, and we think he’s rushing home, but no, he’s off to torment Liana? He shows up unannounced at Liana’s to insist she get back to work but Liana says she doesn’t feel well. Braulio could give two shakes about how Liana feels, he needs her to help deal with the Sapo issue. And that’s the nice part of their conversation because two seconds later he’s choking Liana and accusing her of being the one to leak the financial reports to Santi, but Liana says she doesn’t give a damn about Santi who is still in love with Nuria. Braulio makes some cruel remarks about Liana not being woman enough to get Santi to forget Nuria, and as he is leaving reminds her no one would want a girl who killed her parents anyway.

When Braulio finally makes it home, it’s only to see the end of the big living room confrontation and he stays hidden listening until Nuria and Ros decide to leave. Braulio stops Nuria at the door and reminds her of his proposition: marry him and be Andres’ stepmom!!! Both ladies tell him off for being a heartless cad!

Okay, let’s just finish with Liana. She’s been crying and moping for days but after Braulio’s unpleasant visit, she takes her broken self into the bathroom and looks in the mirror. She flashes back on what Roberto said to her before demanding her resignation and on what Braulio said right before he raped her. NO!!!! Liana screams and throws things; she is a winner, and she is going to WIN! She showers and does her makeup and gets dressed to kill; then calls Tigre to take her to a meeting. Who is she meeting with? Well, Sapo!! It’s a horrible idea, but pain and anger are good at coming up with those! The outfit works and Sapo begins by telling her that he’d take her into his bed, but she’d be competing with some of the most beautiful women in the world and would have to be willing to do everything!!! Yuck! Tigre actually tells Sapo to respect the lady! LOL Liana makes it clear she’s there to do business. Sapo wants to get Braulio and Liana can get him access so that he can kill him! Sapo says he’s tried, but he’s always protected, but Liana says the police are not inside the company. Liana can get Sapo past security and into the building. Sapo likes this and is in, but he wants more; he wants Amelia and Martha! Liana immediately says no way, Sapo’s beef is with Braulio not the others. But Sapo wants to make Braulio suffer first. Liana is very uncomfortable, but Sapo promises not to actually kill Martha or Amelia, so she caves and agrees to this too!

Vuelve – 1/10/23 part 3

Diego goes to see Nuria after getting her address from Amelia’s assistant at the foundation, but he runs into Euge instead. Euge is a little weirded out by the idea that he would come see her at home and tells him to come talk to her at the store. Diego corrects her assumption and says he’s there to see someone else, maybe Euge knows her, Nuria Garcia? Euge is even more concerned now and wants to know how Diego knows Nuria, but at least she was helpful enough to tell him Nuria wasn’t there and would likely not be back for a few hours. Diego says he met Nuria once, but he doesn’t know her well, it’s her son that he knows. Euge has even more questions at this point, but Diego is spooked and just says he’ll come back when Nuria is here.

Later, Chalo and Euge are sitting in the courtyard on a bench when Chelo comes out clearly crying. Chalo wants to know what is wrong and Chelo says that Fausto called to threaten her and the baby again. Euge is taking none of Chelo’s drama and she has zero compassion. All of this is Chelo’s fault!!! Chalo steps up to defend Chelo and back Euge down and the uneasy shift in dynamics is already showing. A bit later we see Chalo and Chelo still talking and one of them has called Santi. Chelo tells him about the phone call from Fausto and how she’s scared that he’ll make good on his threat and kill Nuria and Andres! Santi says what he always has, that Chelo should go to the police and tell them about Fausto, but Chelo is scared. Santi thinks he knows why, and it’s because Fausto is the one who kidnapped Andres, right? Chelo refuses to give up this last secret and says that she doesn’t know. The prior suspicions about him when he was cop were never proven and the guys who grabbed Andres were wearing masks, she had no idea who they were. I don’t think Santi bought this and he insists again that Chelo needs to go to the police, and they will believe her; but Chelo flashes back to Fausto saying ‘we’ kidnapped Andres and that if he told the police that, they would believe him not her.

After the drama is over, Andres is in his room with mom and dad. He asks Braulio and Amelia if it’s true that Nuria is his mom, but he words it, ‘is she the woman who abandoned me?’ And I thought for a second that Amelia would latch onto ‘abandoned’ to convince Andres that Nuria abandoned him, but to her credit, she didn’t. She didn’t tell the whole truth, but she didn’t tell that horrible lie either. She reluctantly confirmed to Andres that Nuria is his birth mother and that she says she didn’t abandon him, but since Andres can’t remember anything, they can’t be certain what is true and what isn’t.

Ros and Nuria make it home to talk with Rai about the events of the day. Rai tries to bring sunshine and optimism as always and talks about getting a lawyer, but Nuria is worried that the Zepeda’s have all the money and power. She is thinking about Braulio’s unholy offer and she’s starting to wonder…. Maybe it’s the only way?

Santi arrives home and Martha tells him about the scene with the police. She wonders if he is going to keep supporting Nuria and Santi says yes. Martha reminds him that Amelia is his friend and she’s suffering greatly. Nuria is suffering too, Santi counters. He cares about Amelia but he’s in love with Nuria and he isn’t going to abandon her. He looks closely at Martha and says she too knows what it’s like to lose a child and she should understand that they need to do the right thing.
