1/29/24 – a quickie

Back to Braulio confronting Liana about seeing the body being moved. She thinks fast and tells him that Tigre did it because Aida was going to spill the beans about the death of Alicia (for which Santi went to prison). Sociopath Braulio doesn’t seem that broken up about the death of his nanny. Liana says they have to kill Tigre.

Andres continues acting out at the wedding. Who saves the day is Rai. He’s perfect with Andres, making him laugh and convincing him to dance at the wedding.

Ros tells Euge it’s fine if she’s gay, but Euge continues to insist she only has a thing for Carmen.

Chenta missed the wedding because of having a lot of work to do. Alberto brings her Chinese food, and she tells him she likes him a lot.

Andres refuses to sleep in the same bed as Nuria and puts Santi’s seashell to his ear.

Ros talks about growing old with Rai who has, of course, a pained expression she doesn’t see.

Euge and Carmen finally exchange a fairly chaste kiss.

Santi comes to the pension to wake Nuria up and to bring a gift to Ros and Rai.

Mario’s brother and some other guy show up to say they heard that Angustias was in the bar the night Mario went missing. She defies them saying now they know how it feels to wonder where your loved on is and if they’re all right.

Amelia comes to see Diego for some comfort.

Braulio brings a suitcase of money to Tigre. Tigre tells him he didn’t kill Aida. It was Liana, and she’s nuts.

The cops come for Tigre, and we see Liana looking satisfied. This sort of surprised me. I wouldn’t have thought she’d want him talking to the police.

Oops, I forgot something. Some guy sees what I think was a part of Mario not buried well enough. I am disappointed in Angustias and her accomplices. They should have dug a deeper hole.

Novelera: Good Job with the recap of last night's episode. But why do I get the feeling that Liana & Braulio will have Tigre whacked if he begins to start singing ?

Let's not forget about the possibility of Santiago & Nuria being targeted as well.

I too was disappointed in Angustias! All that talk about Mario never being found and he's found the next day?? Major let down... But I'm sort of creeped out by Angustias now, when Chalo was arguing with Euge, I couldn't help but wonder if Angustias was going to decide that not loving her son was a crime punishable by death, next... I kind of like that she creeps me out, though.

I usually agree with Santi but when he said Nuria shouldn't have slept on the couch, I was shaking my head vehemently. Andres absolutely should not be forced to share a bed with a mother he doesn't remember. No, no way! No, No, No.

I knew Rai would be the perfect Andres whisperer! He's just such a bundle of joy! Still mad at the writers for killing him off - presumably.

I . Love. Rai. I love his fancy wedding suit . I love him dancing. He was so good with Jandres. Rai is the epitome of a wise, loving abuelo. I am sure that I have seen this excellent actor before, but I can't remember where.

I also love Alberto . He is such a solid, grounded figure. I always like when telenovelas balance bad characters with good ones.

Novelera, I agree that Santi was way off telling Nuria that she shouldnt have slept on the sofa . Que???? At this point , thanks to Braulio, Jandres can't stand Nuria to touch him .

I am glad Amelia went to Diego. I was hoping that she would get a chance to visit with his little girl. Hopefully,,those three will have a HEA together . Susan

Tigre thinks Braulio ratted him out and threatens to sink him (probably about killing Celia).

Nuria keeps trying to win over Andres while Santi looks on.

Diego tells Amelia his findings about Braulio and Celia, but she can’t believe that Braulio killed her.

Chalo asks Angustias why she missed the wedding and wasn’t at her usual spot.

The two evil ones conspire. Liana wants Tigre killed in prison, and Braulio wants him out of the country. She mentions the death of Tania and she’s suspicious (correctly) of Braulio wanting her out of the way. Braulio, looking worried, tells her about Tigre saying he’s his half brother. Liana doesn’t say. Guess we’ll have to wait for the results of HER DNA test.

Andres agrees to play with Pepito, Chenta’s son.

Whoa! Liana, looking BSC, says to a family photo that she DID cause the accident. She was hoping to kill only her mother and have her father all to herself.

Tigre tells Braulio his tale of his mother’s relationship with Roberto and being burned up by him.

Chelo tries to soften up Andres.

Andres sneaks Nuria’s phone and calls Amelia. He talks to both Amelia and Diego, begging to come back to Casa Zepeda.

Mariano asks Santi for Martha’s hand, but she says she isn’t ready for another marriage.

Liana comes to Tigre and tells him she’ll get the DNA test he needs to prove he’s a Zepeda. But he has to confess to killing Aida and Rosendo. [Not so coincidentally her two murders).

Braulio asks Martha some questions about Rufina (Tigre’s mother).

Nuria figures out that Braulio poisoned Andres’ mind against her. She wants to go see him.

Santi comes to see Tigre in jail.

The cops come for Angustias, saying she’s #1 suspect.

Pepito suggests that Andres run away so as to get back to those great toys.

Liana tells Braulio about Santi going to see Tigre. Braulio’s not happy.

I’ve been meaning to comment all along about Liana’s workplace wardrobe. Yikes! One time she had a white, practically see-through blouse on and lately it’s a top with bare shoulders and a lot of cleavage.

We know that Jandres will eventually come around and remember his loving, devoted birth mother , but the little actor is quite effective at being hateful towards her right now thanks to Braulio.

I have noticed that we don't see Santi as much as most galans who seem to be on screen so much . The actors in side stories are on screen a lot.

I like Santi, but I think I like Diego and Rai more....since Jacinto left the story so early and abruptly.Onward we go to Anvils and HEAs . Susan

It's bugged me for a while that someone as calculating as Tigre wouldn't have done his own DNA test years ago, but that's a novela for you! Martha mentioned Tigre's mother had mental health issues and schizophrenia, so I am guessing she set the fire, but we'll see soon enough. I really hope Tigre lives long enough to find out the truth!

The good kid/playmate for Andres encourages him to run away!!! Not what Nuria was signing up for I'm sure, kids! I haven't watched last night's episode yet but I hope if Andres tries he doesn't make it far without being spotted and brought back home, we don't need another kid lost in the city and in danger scenario.

Still disappointed that Angustias criminal mastermind persona only lasted overnight....boo!!! I was liking the dark side of mommy. Yes, I do need help, I know. The bad guys should be the bad guys and the good guys the good guys, but after watching the bad guys win all the time for all these years, it's kind of nice to see the idea of 'I might be a good guy, but I can still do bad guy better than you!'

Vuelve – 1/31/23 part 1 of 2

Braulio and Liana argue about who is the most twisted and who learned from who. They also talk about Rufina. They are interrupted when Braulio is served divorce papers by Amelia.

Tigre tells Santi to get his answers from Braulio but is cagey about what exactly Braulio is capable of, and he tells Santi to investigate for himself.

The police want to question Angustias, but Chelo and Nuria act as her defense attorneys. They know how the law works and they can’t question Angustias without a warrant or a lawyer. They can’t question her in the house, or with a mouse. They can’t question her here or there; they can’t question her anywhere!

Chenta and Alberto talk about Tigre’s arrest and their possible future. Chenta tells him they are from different worlds, and she used to be a prostitute. Alberto says he won’t judge but Chenta thinks she’ll be an embarrassment to him. What would he say if one of his friends wanted to know what she did before GZ? Would he tell the truth?

Diego returns to the foundation. Diego has a great idea to add psychological element to art for the kids which everyone loves, but when Amelia suggests Diego could even take Psychology classes and become the foundation Psychologist, Diego takes it as Amelia trying to rise his social position so he will be a more acceptable partner for her.

Oh, the cops do get to interview Angustias after all, but with Nuria sitting by. Nuria lies and says Angustias was there all day for the wedding, so does everyone else. Except Angustias isn’t good at lying for herself. She sounds very guilty saying they should have arrested Mario the day he killed her daughter and then he would still be alive.

Chenta and Alberto are interrupted by Chelo calling for a lawyer, he heads that way. When Alberto shows up, all he does is ask the police to leave and say he’s going to get a restraining order against Mario’s family.

Braulio refuses the divorce summons, and Tigre calls to threaten Braulio but Braulio says his mom was a crazy liar and Tigre isn’t a Zepeda. We get a bunch of flash backs of Tigre’s life with crazy aunt and nutty mommy. He fights back saying Martha and Braulio are lying. Braulio is unmoved, he says no one is going to believe Tigre and hangs up. Tigre’s eyes are crazier and crazier. Braulio is now on team ‘Kill Tigre’ with Liana.

Next, Tigre calls Liana for the DNA test but she reminds him of the deal. She promises to keep her end of the deal if he takes the fall on her murders.

The ladies console Angustias after the trauma of being accused of a crime she committed. Chalo arrives next but he’s not so easily mollified, he wants to know the truth. He asks if mom killed Mario, Angustias says yes, without saying yes. Chalo thinks back to the last time he saw his sister and says nothing.

Amelia more or less admits she is trying to get Diego to improve his station in life. He walks out and she tells him he’s being childish.

Pepito does convince Andres to run away…. oh boy! The ONLY possible good I can see from this is that being alone in the street and running might jog Andres’ memory. I just hope he doesn’t get hurt.

Amelia tries to complain to her assistant about Diego’s attitude, but she says Diego is right and forces Amelia to see they are from different worlds. She knows Amelia is in love with Diego but it blinds her from reality. Amelia says she’s not like that, but the assistant asks if Amelia would be willing to move into Diego’s apartment and Amelia’s face says it all.

Nuria arrives at GZ to see Braulio and Santi offers to go with her, but Nuria doesn’t want more problems between Braulio and Santi. Liana arrives to cause more problems. A yelling match ensues which gets nowhere and Chenta takes Nuria to Santi’s office while Santi and Braulio talk.

 

Vuelve – 1/31/23 part 1 of 2

Andres wanders around a market lost until some lady approaches offering him a ride, but he doesn’t know where his house is. Andres mostly listens blankly while this Senora rattles off possibilities for getting him home but when she’s about to leave, he breaks and asks her to help him find mommy Amelia’s! I have a bad feeling about this lady.

Martha and Marino have the ‘we’ve been dating for a whole week why can’t we get married’ talk.

Chema gets settled in at the building and Rai gives him the tour. They talk about Santi and how he and Chema met. Rai gets a pain and Ros comes running because they can’t find Andres.

Santi and Braulio start round number 803! Santi tries to ask straight questions and Braulio plays the ‘you are never on your family’s side’ card. Braulio tells Santi that Tigre’s mom was schizophrenic and Tigre probably is too. Santi points out that it’s odd Braulio is just noticing now, but before they can get much further Nuria interrupts and tells Santi that Andres is missing! Braulio freaks out about something happening to ‘his’ son but Nuria tells him to shut up and Andres ISN’T his son!!!

Tigre confesses to the murders of Aida and Rosendo – so I guess Vi is going free now! Liana comes with the DNA test results, it’s negative of course!! Tigre thinks it’s a trick, but Liana says it’s the truth, he’s not a Zepeda. Liana mocks Tigre but she’s too close and he grabs her and starts choking. Liana gets free, damn! She isn’t even shaken enough to stop poking the bear. Tigre is losing it!

Amelia shows up at Diego’s to apologize. She says she doesn’t want to hurt him or change him. She just wants to help him achieve more because he deserves it. He says he wants to make it his own way without handouts, she tries one more time and then apologizes again. They kiss and make up. They are about to get horizontal when Amelia gets the call that Andres is missing.

Cassie and Ari start to get busy, but she loses the mood when she can’t get from the chair to the bed without falling. Ari cheers her up.

Everyone shows up worried about Andres and Santi asks Pepito who tells them that Andres was headed to the other house. This stupid woman is leading Andres to trouble, she has him by a bunch of garages, or storage lockers. Braulio wants to blame Nuria for what is happening, but Nuria says it’s his fault for lying to Andres and putting poison in his mind. When the residents of the building find out Andres is on foot, they head out looking for him. Pepito looks creepily unconcerned and checked out.

Andres is now alone in some room with the lady when some creepy dude arrives, and she asks him if Andres is what he wanted? Exactly what he asked for?? Ah jeez…. our episode fades to black.

Yikes, the writers have decided to not let us relax yet , so Jandres is back on the streets In jeopardy ...lost and vulnerable. This poor kid cannot catch a break. I hope the community power finds him quickly and Santi gives that creepy creep a beat down before calling the police.

Meanwhile, Liana continues her downward spiral while making an interesting fashion statement . Yes, she was delighting in poking the bear until she got a little too close and he started choking her.

Also, our one happy couple deals with some doubts about their differing social classes . I am glad that didn't last long . Santi is Santi , but Diego is the saint . What a sweet , easygoing , compassionate soul.

Alberto is another charming, pragmatic guy . I think he can deal with Chenta's past.

Chemo moves in ...uh oh....are the writers providing Ros with another novio if she loses sweet Rai. It looks sadly suspicious . Susan

Good for Nuria for stepping in to prevent the cops dragging Angustias to the station. Not sure about Mexican law, much less Telenovela Law, but in the U.S. anything she said without a Miranda warning and/or an attorney would be "fruit of the poisoned tree".

Looks like Tigre's IQ dropped 50 points from being locked up. Does he really think being a Zepeda would prevent him from being locked up for double homicide? Guess he forgot about what happened to Santi.

Darcy...great minds... I was also thinking Andres' horrible situation might trigger his memories of his mother. But then I guess that's too much to hope for in a TN. They'll probably put that off until the last episode.

I was wrestling with "red herring or not" about the overly friendly woman who approached Andres. Maybe they're toying with us and the woman really wants to help him. Ha! When the guy walked in, I actually expected it would be one of the cronies Fausto worked with for child trafficking. Maybe it was, but I didn't really recognize the guy's face, plus those guys were in Juarez.

When Ros rushed in, I thought she saw Rai bent over with pain.

I hope that it's a reformed Violeta who gets out of the slammer and, maybe, back to the Zepeda retail store.

I predict a miracle cure for Casandra.
