I hope everyone had a good day yesterday! I'm looking forward to tonight's episode.

For the last few days, Comcast has shown Univision airing Rosa in the 7 pm ET timeslot for all of next week, Monday through Friday. It had Vivir returning the following Monday, April 1st for episode 23 which is where we will be after tonight's airing.

However, as of this afternoon, Looneyvision is showing Rosa airing through Thursday, April 4 with no sign of Vivir.

So is Vivir going on Spring break?? I checked daytime listings and do not see it there...

All of this can change on a dime of course so I'm not panicking. Yet. Perhaps something will be announced tonight. I just wanted everyone to know in case an announcement is made in your area that we may not see(?)

Diana, sorry to say but it looks like “Vivir” is being moved to noon central time starting Monday according to Zap2it Comcast listing. They have capítulo 23 listed for that day. Vivir is listed at that midday time slot through April 3. So, who knows what is going on? 🫤

I just checked (again) and Vivir is now showing at 1:00 pm ET on a few days next week but looks like they are updating it as I write this.

Vivir patio, we will need to discuss what the time change means for everyone and whether or not you will be able to watch.

Uni just aired a promo for a special showing of La Rosa de Guadalupe at 7 for Easter Week. Maybe Vivir's time change isn't permanent?

VIVIR #22 Part 1

I wish I could have understood so much more than the little I did. Kindly fill in if you can…

Rebeca enters the bedroom as JE edges back in the bed a bit and says “Rebeca” looking shocked. He recalls their kissing as she climbs on the bed murmuring about their “romantic” evening. He keeps staring as if he has seen a ghost and gulps as she advances.

Elena and Gi are enjoying a delicious breakfast served by Tina as an emotionally distraught and devastated Angel comes in. My marriage to JE is over, effective immediately. Gi asks what happened and Elena says JE loves you. Angel finally breaks down and says JE was with Rebeca; Gi goes into orbit.

JE is up, with his pants on, now furiously trying to backpedal, telling Rebeca he had too much tequila. He is married! Rebeca says he told her he doesn’t love Angel (LIAR!). She says she loves him, “recalling” their (non-existent) passion. He asks her to forgive him as she asks if he is going to separate from Angel. I don’t love you he spits out, firmly putting his hands up to indicate his “surrender”. He backs out of the room, making a hasty retreat.

Gi, Angel and Elena’s conversation takes a strange detour. Instead of comforting her heartsick daughter, Elena somehow manages to turn the conversation around, seemingly blaming Angel for Santiago’s predicament, for not caring if he lived or died (not sure it was that strong). Elena actually stalks out of the room as Gi consoles Angel..

There is a knock on the door which Rebeca opens. Sandy appears, starting in on Rebeca shaking her head. Rebeca coldly dismisses her.

Gi is with Amando (still wearing his purple shirt and pink jacket). Are they a couple??

Lupe and Lucas have a talk, she is very unhappy with him.

It’s home not so sweet home with Mati, Javier, Luciano, and Romina. Mati is nattering on to Romina who doesn’t seem interested in the slightest. There is a knock on the door; it’s Gabriel. He has to tell Mati something important but she blows him off as the family leaves right in his face.

Monica and Misael are with Cris and Fatima. I believe Monica says JE was with another woman. Cris refuses to let Monica badmouth JE.

Don Emilio comes in holding the bloody bandage. Cris rushes over and he explains what he saw. Monica calls for the maid to take the bandages. Adolfo comes in and fraud is mentioned! Don Emilio (pointedly) points at Misael! Monica glares.

In the market, Armando is hiding from Gi. Doris walks by and he is transfixed.

Monica slaps Misael, who has stolen 50 million dollars!! She walks over and has a big drink from a flask.

At the restaurant, Renato and Jimena tell Angel the banker is in her office. He hands her papers (are they the ones Rebeca signed?)

Brayan confronts Doris about what happened with Ramiro. He takes a lighter and threatens to set fire to her little shop of crap. She pushes his hands away.

Alma prays, something about Rebeca and her “real” family. Gi arrives giving her condolences about Antonio. Gi tells her about Elena, and Alma flashes back to finding Rebeca on the side of the road.

OK, so JE has given Rebeca a ride to the restaurant. He drives off as Brayan watches.

VIVIR #22 Part 2 of 2

Rebeca asks where Angel is. In the office is the reply. Rebeca walks in and Gi stands up, with an angry, incredulous look. Angel stays seated in her seat, grimacing and doesn’t turn around.

Romina and family are enjoying a walk in the woods. Well everyone is except FOR Romina. Mati can’t wait to show her everything as Luciano reminisces about his kiss with Fatima. Romina rightly guesses he is dreaming about his novia. She smirks to Mati saying that Luciano has another love.

Elena leaves Rebeca and Angel alone. Rebeca seems to come up with some spiel to try to justify what she did but Angel doesn’t buy it. She kicks her out and fires her.

Fatima confronts JE for being with Rebeca. He is wild eyed as she tells him Angel told him.

Brayan wants an explanation from Rebeca about Ramiro; he later brings up Doris. She goes to hit him and he stops her. She hands him a few bills but it’s not nearly enough, he wants more. It appears he is threatening her.

Monica interrupts as Fatima starts to say something about Santiago.

Romina is researching something and is on the phone with Misael. When his father comes in, Misael hangs up.

Lucas visits Ramiro in jail, offering encouragement.

Icky tells the family at a meeting that 50 million dollars are missing. JE jumps up wanting to know where the money is.

JE kisses Cris and says he has something important to do and rushes off.

Adolfo meets with Monica and Misael. Gabriela interrupts, her father’s attorney has arrived. He says that Mauricio, Cris’ ex is in jail. I couldn’t follow the rest but Adolfo was defending Cris. He runs into her office but before he can say much, Monica opens her large lips and spills the beans…

Romina asks Icky what is going on. He tells her 50 million dollars has been stolen…She stares closing her eyes. We see her next going through papers as Icky’s words reverberate in her head.

Mauricio walks out of jail.

Gi comforts Angel about the restaurant. The financial problems are serious Angel says.

Rebeca opens the door to a livid Misael. Is it true you were with my primo he screams? He slaps her hard and she falls on the bed, pretending to lose consciousness. He immediately seems contrite.

JE shows up to see Angel. Angel is incredulous, tells him he is a traitor, being with Rebeca. Does he crawl over broken glass? Does he grovel at her feet?? Of course not. Wrapping his righteousness around him like a shield, he is still defensive and has the nerve to get angry, bringing up Santiago STIILL.

She looks at him levelly and tells him it’s over!

VIDA #48
IN WHICH *SOME* SECRETS ARE REVEALED ... Finally!

Scenes are combined in this mini-recaplet. Please excuse typos. The plot really moved forward tonight. Please correct anything I got wrong. Really.

ISABELA & ALEX ---
We pick up with Isa being startled by Alex in the house. She didn’t know he came back from Spain. He came home because Rafa wrote to tell him he is marrying MALena and Alex wants to support Rafa. Then Alex asks Isa why she is soaking wet; where was she? He sees that she’s nervous about answering and questions that. THEN Isa’s phone rings and Alex sees on the screen that it is ….Lorenzo calling. Isa doesn’t answer the call.

ALEX asks if something happened with Lorenzo while he was gone. He asks her to tell him, even if it’s painful. He sees in her eyes that something happened and Isa confesses that she and Lorenzo kissed.

Isabela then tells Alex it’s time to end all the lying. She has been lying to him with the worst lie a woman can tell her husband …. long story short, Rafa is Lorenzo’s son. She wanted to take this secret to her grave. Alex is dumfounded that Lorenzo knows Rafa is *his* own son. Isa says Lor only just found out, after he recently came back to town.

Alex tells Isabela that he always knew the truth, that Rafa is Lorenzo’s son. When he came back from Spain all those years ago, and Rafa was born seven months later, he did the math. He also had a convo with Lorenzo’s wife Julieta, who opened his eyes. Alex said nothing all these years because he was afraid of losing his family. Isabela reminds him that she chose him. Alex doesn’t regret staying quiet.

Alex admits that Julieta knew the truth. He and Julieta had a long talk, back then, about Lorenzo and Isabela, the lands, etc. Alex said he kept quiet for the same reason Isabela kept quiet (about Rafa’s paternity); he knew someday it would end badly and this day has finally arrived, there’s no going back.
 

VIDA # 48 Part 2/3

MALENA & RAFA ---
Rigoberto claims he was at Malena’s house to talk to Pepe’s wife about his kid bullying Teo. Pepe tells him that he and MAL are divorced already Rafa tells Rigo that he and MAL are going to be married in a week. (Malena looked a little surprised at that news)

Rigoberto admits his kid has been bullying Teo because Mal is the woman with whom he had an affair. Rafa, with cara de impactada, asks Malena, “you did it with this guy???” Malena says NO. Rigo says, “Oh heck yeah we did, how can you deny it? It was one year ago!” He says he’s just one of a long list of guys with Malena. (and Viewerville is not surprised)
Rafa realizes this was at the same time Malena was having an affair with HIM. Duh….

MAL says she never wanted to betray anyone (cough…cough…) She blames her sex addiction. Pepe says she’s using that to justify her behavior and she’s hurting their children.
Malena, staying on brand and unable to take any responsibility for any of her misdeeds, immediate blames Rigo’s wife Teresa for being a gossip. (oh puh-leeeze)

Rafa says to Rigo that if the kids can’t make peace, “they’ll settle this like men.” (I guess that means a duel of some sort….or at least a fist fight)
Rigo leaves and Rafa wants to go after him (and we all kow he’s blaming the wrong person). Pepe leaves and wishes MalAfa “mucha mucha mucha suerte” (and they are going to need it). Pepe leaves. Rafa is furious about Rigoberto and leaves.

Rigoberto waits to talk to Rafa, who tells him that if he ever sees him near Mal, he’ll break his face. Rigo points out that Malena will always love and want Pepe.

Later, Mafa tells Rafa that she didn’t ask Rigo to come over. She assures Rafa that HE is the only man who interests her. She claims she is getting therapy “for Rafa.” Rafa says if he and Pepe hadn’t arrived, he’s pretty sure she would have knocked boots with Rigo. (nice start to a marriage, right?)

DIEGO –
Sees Emiliano hugging Paula and telling her how much he loves her. Diego smells a rat and confronts Emi asking “what’s going on with you tow?” He’s like a pit bull that won’t let go. Emi makes up a random excuse, tells Diego to stop being so rebellious, and enjoy the family they have.

Later, Diego talks to Lorenzo, telling him that he and Andi are really good friends and recently became novios. Ruh-roh…. that got Lor’s attention. He tells Diego he cannot permit him to be Andi’s novio. Lor asks Diego if he got Andi pregnant. Diego is horrified at the idea. Paula walks in and asks what’s going on? Lorenzo tells her that Diego is now novios with Rafa’s daughter and Paula has a mild freak-out. Diego doesn’t understand why he can’t be Andi’s novio.

Finally, Paula tells Diego that it’s because Andi is his hermana prima (first cousin) And naturally, Diego wants to know why? Lorenzo explains the 2024 Family Tree Update. Diego realizes Andi is Lor’s nieta. Lor says thats why he has helped Rafa so much and BTW, Andi can NOT find out; this is very delicate stuff.

Later, Lorenzo tells Paula he thinks it’s strange that Diego didn’t go ballistic over the Andi news. Paula says Diego continues to be a mystery to her. Lor says have patience and give him time. Paula says she doesn’t want Diego to think he has to hide anything from her. (oh the irony, since she is hiding something BIG from him!) Lorenzo assures her she’s a good mom.
 

VIDA #48 Part 3/3

EMILIANO –visits Lucía. He needs a big hug from her. She can tell something is wrong and says she’ll always be there for him.

LORENZO & PAULA ---
Lorenzo tells Paula that he thinks it ‘s good that Emiliano knows about her tumor. He says that it will be liberating to tell all her kids the truth. And BTW, he thinks the day is coming soon to tell Rafa that he’s his bio-dad. Paula still doesn’t like that idea.

DIEGO & ANDI – HE INVITED Andi to see the tree house, and introduces Andi to Lorenzo. Andi tells Lor she needs a favor. She needs Lorenzo’s help to find her mother. Lor says the only thing he knows is her name, Zaida. He does not know where or why she went away.

RAFA & ALEX --- Rafa is so glad to see Alex. He needs this father-son talk. He tells Alex how he always loved Mal and how she’s his (and half the town’s, but I digress), he knows he made mistakes and he’s concerned about his relationship with Pepe. Also, he worries that Malena still loves Pepe. Yadda yadda yadda….. Andi hates him, Teo gives him the side eye, and he knows he made mistakes.
Rafa asks Alex to never turn his back on him, and Alex says “never, he’s his papa” and they give bear hugs.

GRACIA --- is visited by Marcos, who is trying to look veinte años older to bridge their age gap. His put some gray in his hair and it is combed back, he is wearing a dress shirt & bow tie, argyle sweater vest, wire-rim glasses, and looks like a college professor…or scientist. Gracia is cracking up at the sight. Isabela arrives and gives him a WTF look. She then dismisses Marcos because she needs to tell Gracia that Alex came home and she told him that Rafa isn’t his son.

NATALIA has just arrived at Casa Lugo, only to be confronted by Paula who asks “Why did you hide the fact that Rosa is your mother?” That caught Nat off guard.

Later, Lucía tells her dad, Pepe, that she is worried about Emiliano. Something is going on in his family; she can see the sadness in his eyes and she thinks it has to do with Paula.

Vivir de amor

Diana, and all the Vivir audience, Hello! I was busy tonight and never got a chance to watch the recording. I will this weekend.

I don't know what prompted LoonyVisión to make this change, but if it is a permanent change (at least for 'Vivir de amor') then I suspect they think it's too mature for the 7PM slot which might be a family viewing time. Or maybe that has nothing to do with it. They will probably never tell us, they just like to jerk us around every once in a while  :-)

Anyway, I have a double treat for the weekend, the recorded episode and Diana's recap.

But phooey! I have to reprogram the DVR.

Doris, your recap was excellent.

"He tells Alex how he always loved Mal and how she’s his (and half the town’s, but I digress)" had me smiling away. I fear there is no hope for Rafa who is strangely and inexplicably besotted with MAL. And yes, Rigo was right she IS always going to want Pepe.

Finally, some forward movement! Well, at least on some fronts. So Alex knew all along...That said, "Isabela reminds him that she chose him". But now she is choosing Lor, right?? No more vacillating, time to choose once and for all.

Then, with crystal clear clarity "Lorenzo explains the 2024 Family Tree Update" to Diego. Amazing!

I am still rooting for Alex and Gracia but perhaps things are messy enough as they are.

As Paula isn't telling Pepe her truth, he may need to come to this realization himself. How could he be lead to that conclusion? Perhaps the writers might consider not having Paula perfectly coiffed in every scene. Not a hair out of place, no obvious sign of hair loss and makeup always beautifully applied.

I'm anxious to see how Gnat answers Paula...

Thanks for the information on the time change. I’ve gotten in the habit of recording all the shows I watch so I plan to continue watching. Maybe they’ll move it back to evenings when Mujer, or whatever ends next, is finished. They did this to a show I was watching once before. Seems like they would lose viewers and not gain new ones so I don’t see the reasoning.

Diana, thanks for another great recap. I couldn’t believe that JE compared his being naked in bed with Angel helping Santiago. Which she never did. He deserves Rebeca.

Did Rebeca think Angel and family would keep her on in the restaurant, she’s not to bright. And now Brayan is on to her.

Romina seems to realize she might be involved in the missing money. Someone was supposed to do something at the hacienda to make JE look guilty. Was it Rebeca? She didn’t do it. I’m thinking she doesn’t want JE to look guilty as that’s her future husband!

How weird that Monica knew Mauricio was in jail but no one else did, not even his wife. I wonder if Monica framed him.

I hope no one will have to give up the show because of the time change.

"CUANDO ME ENAMORO" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:

Howdy from the Alamo City CarayCaray Family. Here's my super-short recap of yesterday morning's episode.

*Psycho Fina & Antonio plan to crash the evening party in their scheme to destroying Gonzalo & Regina.

*Slackers Berta & Selene are still slackers.

*Augie scheming & plotting more chaos. What else is new ?

*Antonio & Psycho Fina arguing about the truth about Fina's crimes while Dona Cata overhears the whole thing.

*Gonzalo & Regina dancing the night away. Of course, Isidro, Inez, Matias, Adriana, Chema & Co., also in attendance including Constanza.

*Dona Cata confronts Psycho Fina & Antonio. Just as when Fina pulls out her gun to shoot, Antonio stops her while Dona Cata suffers a heart attack by falling down the stairs. The scumbags leave Dona Cata there.

*Chema & some other lady find an unconscious Dona Cata & call 911. Gonzalo, Regina & Co., are notified about Dona Cata's health incident & rush her to the hospital.

*Antonio & Psycho Fina both leave the scene of the crime very quickly.

*Renata riding her horse in the middle of the night.

*In the meantime, Augie & Berta get their sex escapade freak on AGAIN.

*Alvaro is violently attacked in prison by some thugs.

*Over at the hospital, Regina & Co., are informed by the doctor about the serious health situation regarding Dona Cata.

*Antonio pouring himself a drink of scotch & continues to rant & rave.

*Regina at her mother's bedside. Dona Cata tries to tell Regina that Psycho Fina is really Pepa, but suddenly she flatlines & Regina screams for help.

*Dona Cata says her final words that Fina is Pepa & then dies.

Vivir (Time change)

I am shocked at this. Are they also changing the time slot in Mexico (It airs at 4:30PM according to Wikipedia)? How will this affect On Demand availability in the US?

Unimas' novelas are in the On Demand function but I don't know what the time lag is for those to be posted or when Vix uploads the current ones. Changing this to 1PM will break up my days if they are not available sooner for On Demand. This could affect my comments schedule.

Why are they doing this? Nobody I know of misses LRDG.

I will post comments later; I will be at the opera this afternoon.

Thank you Diana, there was so much going on in last night's episode, I'm impressed up captured it all! I'm not sure I did!!! LOL There were very strange transitions throughout... like one min JE is standing up in the company meeting swearing he'll find out who committed this fraud, and the very next scene is running out the door. It makes it seem like he didn't really care all that much about $50 million going missing.

Which leads me to what I want to know, exactly how much money do these people have that $50 Million is a drop in the bucket??? Wow! It makes the whole story about Angel supposedly wanting JE's money to save the restaurant seem silly, if $50 mill can go missing without immediate detection than the money to save that restaurant would be chump change to those people.

Yes, Gi and Armando are married. I'd forgotten about that but I vaguely remember Angel being surprised when Armando owned the fabrica and saying 'that is Gi's husband'. He seems like a real goof ball, when he was hiding from Gi he actually asked the lady in the both 'what came first the chicken or the egg?' lol. It also seems like both blonde's husbands like Doris....

I 'think' they bank guy said something about repossessing and selling the restaurant to protect the bank's interests... but I'm not positive. I'm not good with finance jargon.

You were exactly right about Elena and Angel's conversation - another odd transition - and it was as strongly worded as you thought. What's really unfair is that Angel didn't actually accuse Santi like Elena is saying she did! Santi went to jail because of the anon note!!! Angel stayed silent, which caused the initial marriage drama. The only person Angel actually accused Santi to was Santi himself.

Romina is nasty enough to claim she still loves Luciano but she knows he has a new love, so Mati will continue to blame Luciano for the breakup!! Witch. Another weird transition, one min she's in the fields with the fam and the next she's at the company looking at the evidence of the fraud Icky was sure to make sure everyone knew that HE discovered.

Maurcio was apparently in jail for stealing from either Cris or the woman he left Cris for...it was odd how they said it, and I couldn't tell whom, but since Cris is in the $50 mil family, I'm going to guess Cris. When he left he also took all her valuable jewelry and he was caught trying to sell it. Monica said that DE made sure he got the max sentence and Cris never knew Maurcio was in jail!!!

Just when you almost feel sorry for Misael because Refrida is a better villain, you find out he hits women!!! Yuck!

Urban, my first thought was this is being moved due to ratings. I haven't had a chance to research that yet though so that is only a guess.

I know this airing in the middle of the day isn't ideal.

I have watched other TNs online on Univision as Comcast's on demand is often behind.

Thanks Doris, I enjoyed your recap of this fast moving episode, and your side comments. I love how MAL uses her sex addiction as an excuse. I doubt she has seen a therapist. And Rafa is a fool. He finds out about Rigoberto, and that there were others and still plans to marry in a week. I’d be questioning the paternity of the baby.

Secrets are out but a lot of people are still unaware. I hope they find out in a good way-Paula needs to tell Pepe ASAP. Since Rol spilled the beans about Paula to Emi I’m guessing he’ll next tell Diego’s secret.

I have no idea who Isabela will choose. I was never sure if Alex knew about Rafa or not. I thought in one conversation with Isabela he had known, but I can’t trust my Spanish.

I also thought MAL looked surprised that the wedding was in one week. That was strange.

I hadn’t given much thought to the next generation, but Andi is Lor’s granddaughter. Maybe he’ll investigate the missing Zaida, or maybe this is the month for prisoners to get released and she’ll show up.

There was too much going on last night followed by "strange transitions" (fantastic) as you wisely noted; it was even harder (than usual) for me to try and keep up.

I did think the banker said they were going to repo the restaurant but I wasn't sure...

Elena defending Santiago at all costs even to the detriment of her heartbroken daughter is perplexing and frankly, indefensible.

Thank you for explaining what Mau did to land in the big house. Was he let out because his sentence was served or because of something else?? How odd that Cris didn't know he was in jail. Monica seems to have her (dirty) hands in everything, doesn't she??

The only think I can think of with Elena is that she's never recovered from the trauma of losing Frida and she's just plain irrational at the idea of losing another child. Santi is technically missing right now, she doesn't know if he's alive, in danger, kidnapped, just hiding, etc etc etc.... She's going crazy thinking of losing him too. But it was still a very strange way to film it. One min they are having a perfectly warm supportive conversation about Angel's marriage and the next second she's going off on Angie, then the next scene together they are all supportive and caring again.

I think Mau was let out because his sentence is served but I'm not 100% sure I remember that right. I have a bit of a headache this morning and lack of focus played a part, especially with Monica ranting. Her voice is a bit much when you don't have a headache.

Unbelievable. Elena sure is taking her hardworking middle child for granted. I'm even afraid she might re-hire Rebecca.

Monica called out for the maid to take the bloody cloth from Don Emilio, but we didn't see this happen. I'm hoping Don Emilio held onto it and somebody somewhere is smart enough to have a DNA check on it.

I'm shocked that Gi is married to Armando. Clearly her phony radar failed her here.

Poor Gabriel. He's done nothing to make Mati blow him off like that.

Yay! Angel, her heart broken, handled JE well. I hope she sticks to her guns about divorcing him. I like that she said something like "you accuse me without foundation." JE has done nothing to evaluate who "anonymous" might be and why and how Angel has the resources and contacts to orchestrate Santiago's escape and hiding.

Absolutely crazy that Cris didn't know her ex was in prison. Bad enough Monica kept this secret, but Don Emilio too?

Darcy, "The only think I can think of with Elena is that she's never recovered from the trauma of losing Frida and she's just plain irrational at the idea of losing another child" was well stated.

I have all the sympathy in the world for Elena. But not only has Angel also suffered for eveything transpiring with her siblings, she has now been dealt another harsh blow, the implosion of her marriage. Angel's love and support for her mother has been steadfast. Elena must keep her emotions on an even keel, if she continues to support Angel one minute but rebuke her in the next breath, their relationship will truly suffer.

I like Lucas but unless there's something we've yet to learn, think Gabriel is a great guy who has been nothing but very sweet to Mati. I wonder what he will tell her if he gets the chance to, that is.

Let's see...I enjoyed the look on Romina's face when Icky joyfully shared the news about the missing $50. It was a wonderful " oh **** " look. Serves her right for abandoning her kids . boohoo

I haven't seen the actor portraying Mau in a long time . It's odd that Chris didn't know that her thieving husband was in jail . hmmm...Monica knew . Did Monica frame him? I remember that Mau had a strange smirk on his face when Santi was first taken to the police station. When I saw that actor and that look, I knew he would be a part of this story.

I like the way that Brayan isnt intimidated by Refrida and keeps showing up to harass and threaten her .

I had no idea that Gi was married to the fabrica manager .

I plan to keep watching this show despite the odd time change . Univision has always just done whatever they wanted to without much thought about the fans . I remember people here at caray writing protest letters back in the day ...Uni didn't care .

Romina has gotten herself in hot water and I don't have an iota of sympathy!

Rebeca is turning friends into foes at a rapid rate. Angel has cut her dead. Rebeca used to have an ally in Brayan, that seems to be going by the wayside. She may be clever enough to somehow convince nothing happened with JE to Misael but I have my doubts. Renato already has her number, as does Gi.

Uni has pulled some inexplicable time changes. Remember when Un gaucho al corazon was moved from evenings to daytime AFTER 200 EPISODES? I wasn't able to watch the final 50 and was fit to be tied. Corazon Salvaje '09 was also moved to midnight, but the stalwart recappers stayed right with it! Andy and I were among those watching La mexicana y el guero, which also moved to daytime a year or two ago. We should be used to it but...

MAL has no shame . Can you imagine standing there with your ex , his brother whom you cheated with, and a rando neighborhood guy who informs both guys that he was only one of many whom MAL hopped with. #takeanumber MAL seemed to take it all in stride as she once again played the sex addiction card. This girl is cold as ice and yet hot to trot.

I am so sick of Isabella. At thks point, I wish that both Alex and Lor would move along to people who can make decisions.

Marcos is our comic relief , but he doesn't Offer much relief from this slow moving pain .

Zaida..where are you ? We need you to inject some new blood into this show .

We are all assuming Rebeca was pretending to get Misael's sympathy, but it did occur to me, maybe she wasn't pretending and we have a pregnancy watch!!! She could become pregnant, it would be Misael's of course, but she could lie and say it's JE's!

After it became apparant JE wasn't at all interested in Rebeca, I've suspected she will need to something desperate, which she did with the non seduction. Getting pregnant by Misael but claiming the child is JE's seemeed inevitable.

I thought she faked the near fainting. It never occurred to me that might have been a result of pregnancy. Darcy and Susan, you are both way ahead of me!!

Diana, and all who commented, many thanks! I thoroughly enjoyed the entire package, even watching the novela  :-)

And a crazy episode it was, full of crazy characters. Quite a few people in this novela are not playing with a full deck. Even Mauricio, who we have seen only twice, and briefly, seems a bit odd. I'm not sure what he was saluting when he left the reclusorio. There are not all that many "normal" people in this novela. Maybe that makes it more fun.

"Gi is with Amando... Are they a couple??" They sure look like it, but I had no idea. He does seem attracted to Doris, which is understandable, but also dangerous.

I like that Lucas is trying to help Marino, and get him a lawyer. He should, though I'm not sure how he will do so.

I was surprised that Misael slapped Rebeca, and pretty hard. Nothing says love quite as much as a good punch in the mouth. A good thing for him that Rebeca didn't answer in kind. I think she could mop the floor with him, she's no softie (and she's a bit crazy).
Also she can play him like Lucas could play video games on a really hot game console.

"Monica slaps Misael, who has stolen 50 million dollars!!" He got his own slap after all. I could just see Rebeca and Monica teaming up to slap the guy silly. And he deserves it.
$50,000,000! Couldn't he have started embezzling with a small amount, and then work his way up?

I kinda like Alma, but she must be a bit dim in addition to being a bit crazy. After looking at Antonio's newspaper clippings and talking to Elena, she's still not sure that Becky is Frida?

Susan, Darcy, Diana: Rebeca pregnant? Wow! It never occurred to me. Maybe more craziness!

Thanks so much for another well-written recap, Diana. I really appreciate them. I keep thinking I'm going to cut back to only watching the 10PM novela on Uni, but somehow end up watching both.

Well, my question was answered. Refrida did "go there" and outright tell J.E. that they had sex. His reaction sorta surprised me. He wasn't the tiniest bit gallant (not that she deserved anything else) and flat out told her he didn't love her. Also, excuse my being graphic, but wouldn't there be some "evidence" of coitus in the bed or on his "parts"?

Refrida seems to think that servants don't ever talk to their employers. She keeps treating the hacienda people like crap, and from all evidence we've seen, they're like family to the Rivero Cuéllars.

Another frustrating thing. I think Mati needs to hear what Gabriel has to say about his overhearing Lucas talk about crimes. I am completely fed up with Lucas getting involved with Bryan and the other mini-thugs. I'm Team Gabriel.

I loved Don Emilio pointing at Misael and accusing him. But the writers didn't go anywhere with it, of course.

Bryan is demanding money from Refrida because he's a disgruntled wannabe novio. He's had a thing for her all along. God knows they deserve each other.

There has been a complete lack of clarity about any of the financial stuff so far. What I did gather is that Romina put 2+2 together and figured out that that "company or business" Misael and Bruno are cooking up was funded with the exact amount of money missing from Don Emilio's company. So Misael sent her to the hacienda to plant some fake fraud? That's another thing I didn't grasp...why he sent her there and what she was looking for.
 

Novelera, I am team Gabriel , too, but the writers are probably going to reform Lucas and give him a HEA with Mati in the end.

When it became clear that the fraud was going to be discovered, Misael had the idea to frame JE for the fraud. It wasn’t said exactly what/how he was going to do it but he mentioned that he wanted to go to the hacienda to leave some papers/evidence. Monica then responded that Misael shouldn’t go himself because it might draw suspicion and that he should send someone else. Misael said he had just the person, and it was the next day that Romina was sent so I am assuming she was there for that purpose even though it was never spelled out. I also think Romina’s reaction to the discovery of the fraud points to this, like she’s putting together what she has become involved in.

Thanks, Darcy, for filling in the blank in my brain about why Romina went to the hacienda. But, if she went there knowing the plan, she's certainly not an honorable person. But then she's shown shocked, just shocked that the dollar amount stolen matches the initial investment. Of course, this is novela finance at its finest. Why would a recently hired person know the exact amount of the beginning bank balance?

JE "wasn't the tiniest bit gallant"; no he certainly wasn't. Even though she didn't deserve it (as you noted), JE continually wraps himself in a cloak of righteous indignation, especially when he flung his most vile, accusatory words at Angel, the supposed love of his life, who did nothing wrong.

So far, Brayan hasn't shown himself to be terribly cruel but Rebeca might push him there. I get the feeling he isn't taking her rejection well.

Well, once again, I'm quite late to the party. Diana, you ROCK, amiga, and never cease to amaze and impress. Thank you for making such generous and valuable contributions!

I really don't have much to add; everyone has addressed everything with such great insight and thought-provoking observations. The only thing I can think to add is regarding Armando. When he was talking to Panchita, the female merchant, he asked how things were going for "the girl" (Doris). When Panchita mentioned the Doris is hardworking and is good at business dealing, Armando commented that Doris was exactly like her father And when Panchita asked if he knew Doris's father, Armando got somewhat nervous and adamantly replied the he did not know her father. I did not get he impression that Armando has a romantic interest in Doris. this may be way off, but could Armando be Doris's father????

The other thing that i just thought is how JE was so dramatic (maybe too much) with his reaction to hearing how much money was missing. He swore he would find out who was responsible, just like he swore he would find Dulce's murderer. I haven't seen him do anything to solve Dulce's murder...all he has done so far is succumb to Rebeca's lies and manipulation; and he most likely will continue to do so. A bug thank you to hose who commented that Rebeca might be pregnant. That never occurred to me because I too thought she was faking the fainting spell!
