Good morning everyone!

When I decided to recap, I made it a point NOT to check how many episodes this had. I was enjoying it and hoped there was enough interest to get a patio together. I am happy and grateful to see all of you here, so generously sharing your insights and filling in so much information that I miss!

I did not expect approximately 125 episodes which should go through the end of summer.

For the time being, I am going to continue to recap with the understanding there will be days I will not be able to cover.

I realize everyone is very busy so will simply ask this. If anyone is able to recap an episode here or there, please just post something to that effect the day before. It can be brief, highlights only – anything would be appreciated. It can be posted the day it airs or the next day, whatever works for you…

Reminder there is no show today so will see you all tomorrow.

"CUANDO ME ENAMORO" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:

I'll be posting the recap of yesterday morning's episode sometime today.


 

VIVIR #33 Part 1

The devil was in the dialogue today. I did the best I could.

Alma looks thunderstruck as Marisa asks her what is wrong. Alma says Rebeca is going to pay for the consequences of her actions. She picks up her phone and calls JE. JE answers, telling her Rebeca is in the hospital. She is shocked but he reassures her and arranges a taxi to take her to the hospital.

Sebastian is on the computer when Icky shows his ugly face. I thought Sebastian looked a bit doubtful as he mentions Gabriela. He asks Icky about Jimena, saying what a wonderful woman she is. Rather sheepishly, Icky tells him they are divorcing. Sebastian looks surprised saying again Jimena is extraordinary. Hmmm, interesting.

Monica and her clown smile are looming over Rebeca in her hospital bed. I think she suggests that Rebeca should bribe the doctor to say her condition is far worse than it is, that she is in danger.

Cris, Don Emilio and Fatima arrive at the hospital and JE fills them in. Poor girl Cris says as Fatima folds her arms.

The doctor arrives and says she needs to rest and something to the effect her situation is critical. Fatima comforts JE.

Alma arrives to see Rebeca.

JE is at Rebeca’s bedside; now hooked up to oxygen. He recalls fighting with Angel as the doctor’s words reverberate in his head.

Rebeca opens her eyes and she calls out to JE who moves to her side, urging her to rest. She asks for his forgiveness for the problems she has caused. My heart she murmurs as she takes his hands, she tells him she loved him as soon as they met. Forgive me. JE tells her she isn’t alone. Rebeca craftily tells him he is not obligated to her just because she is pregnant. Alma, hesitating at the door comes in, starting in, saying you are pregnant! Rebeca wants to talk to Alma alone but JE says not right now and leads Alma out of the room. He tells her about Rebeca’s “condition” as Alma cries.

Angel has a nightmare, seeing flashbacks of Frida taking her doll and throwing it away from her the day Frida was abducted. Elena comes in to comfort her.

Jimena and Icky share a nice moment with their son. He mentions Doris and Icky looks downcast. After their son goes to bed, Jimena bids Icky farewell. Icky who obviously has had second and third thoughts, tells her she is the only woman he loves and asks for forgiveness. They kiss as I gag. Jimena has doubts but Icky is not to be deterred. She takes his jacket off and they move to the bedroom. I am speechless.

Doris is in a hot red number as she throws her phone.

Alma and Rebeca are alone in her room. Alma reminds Rebeca JE is Angel’s husband. I did not understand Rebeca’s retort but Alma asks her if she loves JE. Rebeca says yes. Alma talks about secrets as we hear Rebeca’s unspoken thoughts about Alma which seem to be laced with vitriol.

Cris asks JE how he is. He tells her that Alma came to the hospital. She gets very choked up; JE admits the child is his. She tells him the child is his responsibility.

VIVIR #33 Part 2 of 2

Alma is back at the hospital desk as Misel sneaks into Rebeca’s room and they start passionately kissing. Armed with a pass, Alma enters the room just as Misael stands up. Rebeca makes the introductions and Misael leaves, Alma seemingly not realizing anything is amiss.

JE tells Cris he doesn’t love Rebeca and will not marry her. Cris says Rebeca needs him and his protection. Oh my is she misguided! She gets very upset. JE professes he loves Angel but Cris reminds him Angel divorced him. Cris says it is important he make things formal. Rebeca needs protection. I love you she says and kisses him on the cheek. He looks upset and conflicted. He leans back, closing his eyes.

A shirtless JE holds a picture of him and Angel. Meanwhile, Angel is getting a cuppa and crying to her mamita about JE and of course, the baby. She tells Elena she will never find happiness with another.

Lucas is still broken over Ramiro’s death. Lupe tries in vain to encourage him, understanding Ramiro is innocent. She finally gets him to smile a bit.

Luciano is talking with Javier and Mati; things are not looking bright for Romina.

Cris and JE have joined Alma at Rebeca’s bedside. How is the future mother the doctor asks? Then he does an on-the-spot ultrasound. JE stares at the image and starts crying. The doctor reinforces that the most important thing is that Rebeca rest. Cris is fussing and I think she asks her to stay with her.

Monica and Misael discuss Rebeca and Monica is NOT complimentary. She says something about the fraud…Misael seems to dismiss Monica’s class prejudice as he stalks out.

Alma seems to want Rebeca and her grandchild with her. Rebeca says she doesn’t want to bother Cris. She tells JE he is the father as she strokes his face. She talks about marriage and JE, the fool, agrees as a single tear falls down his cheek.

Diana, thank you once again for another great recap. I especially appreciate it as I goofed and messed up the programming to cancel recording the Monday show about the eclipse or whatever. When will I ever learn? If it's working, just leave it alone. I could have easily and quickly erased the Monday recording and no harm done.
But I had to fiddle with it, and so lost about 15 minutes of so of today's airing.

I did see Icky and Jimena "reconcile". And, of course, I thought of you, Diana. I know you have been rooting for Icky all along. (Well, maybe rooting for him and Doris to savage each other :)

I do have hopes for Doris, I think deep down she's not a bad person; deep, deep down. And maybe even hopes for Icky. He has been slapped hard in the face by the old "You don't know how good you have it until you lose it." And I hope he realizes that not everybody is as forgiving as Jimena seems to be. If he gets a second chance he should take it and know that a third chance would probably never happen.

"Monica and Misael discuss Rebeca and Monica is NOT complimentary." I just love Monica! The lipstick, the tight skirts, the booze, the "class prejudice", everything. She is fun, of a sort, especially her class prejudice considering that she is OK with embezzlement, killing other people's horses, suborning or blackmailing people, etc., etc. Possibly murder, too.

If I ever actually met such a person I would move far, far away, but in a telenovela she's fun.

I'm OK with JE marrying Rebeca. I'm not very fond of him anyway.

Vivir Another great recap, Diana! I think Monica was going to bribe the doctor, and as we hear lately, apparently it worked. I wonder if the doc was lying when he said that both Rebeca's and the doctor's lives are in danger. Rebeca certainly uses her supposed impending death to manipulate JE. And Cristina is such a sucker! Since Alma doesn't believe Rebeca's story about her relationship with JE, is her life in danger, or is Rebeca just going to blackmail her again with a threat to turn her in for kidnapping? I will say that JE is pretty buff in that scene with his shirt off. Lucas's parents really should think of sending him somewhere. JE agrees to marry Rebeca, but Alma seems unimpressed.

I am glad you were able to see most of this. I should have a DVR but have no desire at this point. I have enough trouble trying to keep the internet and computer going.

I wish Doris would confess to the police as to how and when Ramiro's tattoo came into being. At least he could be cleared posthumously. Doris isn't exactly a pillar of the community but she is redeemable...

Andy, to be honest, I really don't care at this point if JE and Rebeca do get married either. Angel deserves better and they deserve each other.

The doctor didn't seem to be the usual run of the mill smarmy practitioner without a conscience. I did briefly wonder if he turned Monica down and if what he said about Rebeca's condition is indeed true. I think I am reading too much into this??

I figured whatever Rebeca said to JE helped to convince him to marry her but didn't realize it was as bad as Rebeca bleating about her "supposed impending death"! Thank you for explaining that. I am sure that, combined with the ultrasound are what convinced him to change his mind.

Alma has good instincts about Rebeca; she knows full well what she is like. Too bad she didn't enter Rebeca's room a minute earlier to have seen Rebeca and Misael all over each other.

"JE agrees to marry Rebeca, but Alma seems unimpressed" was exactly right!

*Slacker Berta having one of those typical nagging hissy fits, barges into the Monterrubio HQ Office & she's completely drunk & wasted. That poor secretary, who wishes she was on vacation, has to endure the ranting of Slacker Berta.

*Gullible Regina is still GULLIBLE & STUPID into thinking Berta is her daughter & when ALL of viewerville knows it's RENATA.

*Psycho Fina continues to taunt Gullible Regina non-stop: All of these decades later WOW. Talk about being hell-bent on destroying Gullible Regina's life: Killing Roberto, then kidnapping young Renata 25+ years ago, indirectly killing Regina's mother, Dona Cata & now this mess ?

*Honorio telling Connie to calm down, when the poor woman is trying to tell Honorio & Adriana the truth about Fina being Pepa.

*Psycho Fina even admits to killing Roberto to Gullible Regina's face: REALLY ?

*Padre refuses to let his niece, Dr. Marina living in sin with Jeronimo. Too late about that one sir.

*More rantings & ravings from Lazaro: We all know he'll be facing more roadblocks before happily ever after with Karina.

*Back at the Monterrubio HQ: Slacker Berta continues her hissy fit & it's downright annoying, she goes off on Gonzalo & Matias, telling them she wants the money ASAP. See how that worked out for Good Ole Roberto 25+ years ago ?

*Alfonsina is..... PREGGERS according to Dr. Marina: WOW! Something tells me Scumbag Augie or Zeke will do something sinister.

*Renata still too damn STUPID & gullible about Scumbag Augie, whose true evil colors will be revealed to her soon.

*The conversation between Padre, Lazaro & Karina: Karina isn't going to be waiting for a few months. She wants the truth ASAP.

*More evilness & gleefulness from Fina & Slacker Berta: Fast Forward.

*Conservation between Jeronimo & Scumbag Alvaro regarding Karina does NOT end well. Alvaro goes completely beserk LOL.

*Adriana FINALLY discusses the situation regarding Matias & Chema to Honorio, who isn't a fan of the dude (Chema) seeing Connie & Adriana. We all know Honorio prefers Matias being with his daughter.

*Julieta unsuccessfully tries to put the moves on Matias at the Nightclub LOL.

*Adriana goes to bed & is still thinking about whom she wants to be with: Matias or Chema, but my gut feeling will be Adriana ends up with Matias.

*Ezeq asking Alfonsina why was she unfaithful to him: Alfonsina explains that a woman needs to be loved, admired, & wanted. Since Ezeq ignored her, Alfonsina got into the bed with someone else.

*Psycho Fina & Slacker Berta upping the ante in making Gullible Regina's life more miserable OMG: Please end this reign of terror ASAP.

*Slacker Selene & Diego joining in the fun of the "Lets Mock Berta" party LOL. Slacker Berta is Slacker Berta.

*Regina visits Connie & tells her that she knows Fina & Pepa are the same person: Connie's like 'TELL EVERYONE ASAP". Regina also thinks Renata is her daughter too.

Icky deserved to lose Jimena, so I am shaking my head.

Monica has some nerve saying any woman isn't good enough for Misael when she looks sluttier than any other woman in that area.

Alma's conscience seems to be waking up. This will put her in danger from ReFrida very quickly. She needs to tell Christina the truth, but how many episodes will that take?

Gracias, Diana. I h aven't watched this epi yet. With your fine recap, I'll be able to follow better when I do (and I can skip Jimena taking back Iker, ugh.)

I keep wondering when I'm going to feel bad for JE getting snookered by Rebecca. The answer: not yet, maybe never.

What I'm looking forward to is Rebecca having JE as a hubby and living rich as a Rivera Cuellar BUT still jealous of Angel. She will NEVER get JE's love and probably not his bod either.

Cheers to Fatima for seeing through Rebecca.

Monica is wacko. She couldn't stand Angel as a niece-in-law, but now she's going to tolerate Rebecca in the family?

I was dismayed all it took for Jimena to take Icky back was a few half-hearted "I'm sorries". He completely disrespected her and treated her like trash. She is a good person and he is just totally unworthy.

As Alma just found out about the baby, it's a bit hard to speculate on what she might do or say. But if she somehow finds out Misael is the father, I have no doubt she will speak up. Either way, she is a liability for Rebeca and I agree that Alma is in danger.

I must admit that right before JE agreed to marry Rebeca, I had a quick flash of sympathy for him, but it dissipated fairly quickly. I am so disappointed in Cris who kept urging him to marry Rebeca. He certainly stood up to poor Angel, always accusing and blaming her for everything. Yet here, he caved in a matter of minutes. Good luck, you and Rebeca deserve each other.

Alma keeps putting her life in her hands. She was so right to insist to Cris that "she" would take care of her own daughter in their own home. Honestly, Cris could've offered to pay for a nurse's aide or something, but pushing to take care of Rebecca in her mansion was frankly out of line. Oh well, JE the fool ended that conflict by saying he'll marry Rebecca.

Thanks so much Diana, that was great. I missed, meaning didn’t understand, that the doctor was told to make her condition worse than it was. So I was wondering how she could eat cookies, kiss Misel passionately, and still lie like a pro. So she’s really feeling pretty good! I’m with the group that feels JE deserves Roberta. I’m looking forward to a farce of a wedding. I was disappointed in Cris, she had a lousy marriage and now is pushing one on her son. She should know better.

Monica is fine with Rebeca marrying JE but was against Angel as his wife. But accused both of being gold diggers. I don’t understand her thinking.

I didn’t expect Jimena to take Icky back, and she was an easy conquest for Icky. I wonder if it will backfire on her. Although I don’t think Doris will be heartbroken. She once said it was better to be the mistress and maybe she’ll go back to her previous relationship with Icky. I was already seeing Jimena and Sebastian together.

Jimena's taking Icky back was really unfathomable. Yes, after hearing the glowing way Sebastian spoke about Jimena to Icky, I also hoped a new romance (that I never saw coming) might develop...That said, I've no doubt Icky will screw things up. Again.

Thanks Diana, your innate compassion makes your recaps a lot more forgiving of this silliness than I would be and gives me another perspective to consider.

I did think Monica bribed the doctor but it's possible she didn't. I think though, if both the baby and Rebeca's lives were really in danger this early in the pregnancy a doctor would probably advise terminating the pregnancy. They usually don't advocate for 7 months of bedrest and make sure mommy never gets stressed!!! That's an end of pregnancy, just trying to keep her pregnant for a few more weeks to give the baby a better chance type diagnosis. So that's what made me think it was a con.


I think Monica is still thinking about sticking it to Angel, whatever her real issues with Angel, are it's deeper than just class otherwise she would object to Rebeca too as we've all noted. Or maybe she's okay with Rebeca because she KNOWS she's a user and JE will be miserable with her and thus Misael in a superior position?? More of the jealousy with her sister, wanting her son elevated? Who knows?

I agree Cris pushing JE to get married is stupid!!! But I also don't feel sorry for JE, so hehe.

I'm surprised Alma is pushing to keep her 'daughter' with her! I understand the emotional connection, but ReFrida is BSC and dangerous and she knows it! I'd send her off to the mansion and wish JE and family luck!!!

I so appreciate all your illuminating insights.

I'm sure you are right that Rebeca isn't in dire distress. Lazing around, basking in sympathy and being coddled does sound right up Rebeca's alley!

Monica's hatred for Angel is just irrational. Is there an even more deep seeded reason other than jealousy? Yes, I think part of it is also her resentment toward Cris especially knowing Adolfo loves her. Monica is using Rebeca to get rid of Angel but I have no doubt she is going to turn on her the second she's lost her usefulness.

I think that in this instance, Alma wanting to keep Rebeca with her springs from her knowing Rebeca is dangerous. She wanted her there so she can keep an eye on her. Alma has expressed concern for Angel several times, and I think her worry is very real. But now that stupid JE has caved, Rebeca will be in the "big house" free and unfettered to cause even more damage. Ack.

VIVIR #34 Part 1

JE agrees, yes, I will marry you as a solitary tear falls down his cheek. Thank you my love Rebeca says, smiling a bit as Cris looks on.

Fatima visits Angel. I surmised Fatima does not seem to feel a loveless marriage to Rebeca is the right thing for JE to do. Angel’s concern seems to be with the baby. The two friends cry and look at each other sadly.

Icky is actually cooking, serving Jimena and his son. He is still on his “please give me a second chance” apology tour. (I’m not sure why exactly as didn’t Jimena leading him into the bedroom the previous night indicate that question had already been answered??) Icky grabs her hands and their son chimes in; he promises to be the best father ever. As Icky natters on, his phone rings and it’s Doris. Jimena’s demeanor changes…Icky doesn’t answer and we see Doris still in her red-hot negligee, leaving an angry message; she is not to be trifled with!

Don Emillio is upset and lecturing JE and Cris about the fraud. Unlike the rest of the family, he believes Gabriela is innocent! He has confidence in her as did his wife also trusted her implicitly. Cris holds his hand.

Alma is at Rebeca’s bedside. Rebeca pretends to be very emotional. Alma starts in again, blaming Rebeca for stealing her sister’s husband. Rebeca stares and Alma backtracks, apologizing to which Rebeca ugly scowls. She smiles thinking back to JE agreeing to marry her. She then thinks to herself that Misael is the real father. Then, to our revulsion, she calls Cris and fake cries she needs to apologize to Angel.

At the restaurant, Angel and Renato talk, smiles all around. He offers his support, she is grateful for his friendship and hugs him, holding his hand.

Cris, clutching the phone tightly, calls Angel under Fatima’s watchful eye. Is it JE Angel asks worriedly? No, it’s Rebeca is the reply. She is in the hospital in very serious condition. Cris asks for Angel’s compassion as Rebeca wants her forgiveness. Then Cris pulls her ace in the hole, it is my nieto, please she begs.

Monica is beyotching to Adolfo about Cris. Misael comes in and they switch to the topic of Mau.

Rebeca has lost one of the earrings Chris gifted her and a frantic search is underway. Rebeca has her hair tied up in a knot and looks quite pretty. At least externally.

VIVIR #34 Part 2 of 2

Don Emilio visits Gabriela who is beside herself protesting her innocence. He gives her comfort and vows he will get her out of there!

Oh no, Angel actually goes to the hospital to talk with Rebeca. The few things I thought I understood was that Angel was trying to understand Rebeca’s hatred. Rebeca did warn Angel off saying something like she would rip her apart because she destroyed her life. I believe Angel said JE is marrying her, not because of her but only for the baby. At one point, Angel asks “are you loco?” Yes, viewerville yells in unison. I thought Rebeca put Angel off with her big reveal saying it was not the right time. Angel yells that Rebeca is infirma and keeps asking her why, why? Rebeca finally reaches her limit and rings for the nurse, demanding Angel leave. The nurse arrives as Angel leaves.

From a sick bed to a padded cell. Luciano visits Romina who continues to protest that she is innocent. Luciano seems skeptical but vows to help her as she is the mother of his children. She cries as he is told he has to leave. She hugs the bars and slides down in tears to the floor.

JE, Cris and Fatima are now on the free Gabriela bandwagon. The lawyer states it’s going to cost. A lot. Don Emilio enters and says the money isn’t important! That gets the lawyer’s attention as Cris smiles.

Misael and Bruno plot. Misael recalls Rebeca’s fainting in his arms and says out loud that the child is his.

Loli meets the sweet little boy that Brayan was trying to feed. He is lying on a mattress outside near the river. She asks him what happened to his family and it seems he is on his own.

Jimena and Angel talk; Jimena has Rebeca’s number. Angel wants to get to the bottom of things.

Sometimes, revelations occur when you least expect them. A random conversation at the fabrica occurs between Lupe and Angel. Lupe reveals that Alma is NOT Rebeca’s mother!! Angel remembers seeing Alma in the cemetery at Rebeca’s grave but lying that it is her sobrina.

Doris and Lucas are at church, Doris praying. They discuss things and I sense Doris may be considering starting her journey down redemption road.
Mati and Javier are at the prison and are told Romina was arrested for fraud. Fatima, Cris, JE and Don Emilio arrive and Mati screams at Fatima blaming her saying all of this is her fault, as Fatima blanches. Luciano says Romina is innocent as Fatima scowls. He leads the children out.

Rebeca calls Misael about the car that ran down Mau but their conversation is cut short when JE arrives. He asks how she is…I think she says she is coming to stay at his house.

Angel is driving and pulls over as she remembers the aftermath of Frida’s abduction, as Cris cried out for Rebeca in the dark night, believing she is still alive.

JE tells Rebeca how delicate she is (as our stomachs turn). He wants her to do whatever is necessary to keep calm and safe.

Rebeca’s words of hatred reverberate as Angel goes to (the real) Rebeca’s grave. She reads the tombstone inscription bearing Antonio and Alma’s name! When she sees the date, she realizes that Frida is alive. In a state of shock and disbelief, Angel murmurs that “Frida is alive and is…Rebeca!!” She stares incredulously.

Diana, thank you for all the frustrating news.

JE (Just Engaged ) didn't look thrilled about Refrida coming to live at his mansion. Ha ! This is going to be fun.

In my version of this story, Angel gives Chef Renato A chance and they have a HEA, while JE is saddled with wicked, crazy Refrida for the rest of his days. Sorry JE..not sorry . That would be his hard lesson in what unconditional love and trust is.

Well, we Now have an adorable street urchin . I wonder who will adopt him. Any guesses? Alma? We had so many urchins in " Receta." This little actor is in everything . I hope he is going to schoolor being tutored .

Vivir. Another great recap, Diana! Finally! Angelli has figured out that Rebeca is her sister! Between Lupe's revelation and Rebeca's promise to tell her why she hates her + the very revealing tombstone, it becomes very clear. Wonder what Angelli will do now. I'm also wondering when (or if) Mauricio's body will turn up. Evidently the child who rescued Loli from the bullies is homeless. I trust she, her mother, and possibly Alma, will give him shelter. What significance will the lost earring turn out to have? And once again Renato shows that he's a better person than JE. As usual, Rebeca does an incredible job of manipulating Cristina, who is such a sucker. And a red flag for Rebeca is that JE has made an appointment for her with a truly expert ob/gyn. Maybe now it will be revealed that most of her health complaints are a hoax, but I bet she gets out of it somehow.

Thanks Diana, you did a great job with this tale of woe. I just watched it and can’t recall an “up” moment.

Angel should have gone from the hospital to Cris and JE and told them exactly what Rebeca said. I was surprised at all the hate Rebeca feels for Angel. I’m also surprised that Angel found out so soon who Rebeca is. With 125 episodes we have a lot of time until the bad guys meet their fate.

Loki should bring the little boy home. Alma could take him in. She needs to give up on Rebeca.

How awful of Mati to blame Fatima for her mother being locked up. It really doesn’t bother me to see Romina in jail. I think when she’s freed she’ll cause problems for Luciano.

What if the earring is in Mau’s car! She did get in it to run him over!

Will Angel tell her mom what she learned. I don’t think she should as I can see Angel being pushed aside for the mother/daughter reunion.

I think Angeli should bribe a nurse or doctor to take a blood sample from ReFrida for a DNA test and get a step ahead. She will need to tell Elena before the bodas de odio to prevent an ugly scene leading to more hospitalization for Elena. Too bad she didn't record the nasty conversation.

The three main series we're discussing now have too many stock plot points in common:

--- Greedy women getting revenge
--- The aforementioned women thinking they are All That
--- Maternity/Paternity issues
--- Class snobbery
--- Secret identities
--- Vulnerable children

It doesn't seem as though Rebeca will be able to keep her odious personality under wraps for too long! It should be quite the eye opener for both Cris and JE. And I don't feel a bit sorry for either one of them.

The sweet little boy would be a wonderful addition to any family; I see him with Angel and JE (whenever they finally reconcile).

Like you, I am surprised that Angel has already figured out who Rebeca is. I can only imagine how convoluted things will get with almost another hundred episodes to go!! :)

As Elena has been fairly sympathetic to Rebeca from the get go, I am shuddering to think how she will react when "Frida" returns. She will be so immersed in relief, I doubt she will be able to "see" Frida's true persona, and will just want to smother her with all the love and longing she can muster. Poor Angel...I'm not convinced that it will be Angel who reveals who Rebeca is. I might be totally off base...

A DNA test is always a good idea. However, while Angel has good reason to suspect Rebeca of much, she really has no reason to think Rebeca would cheat on JE so that might not occur to her. At least not now. That will change of course if and when Rebeca's relationship with Misael gets out.

Your list of common threads in the three current TN's was spot on especially "vulnerable children". Sigh.

Diana, thank you for another delightful recap, a real accomplishment considering all the gloom in this novela.

I enjoy this novela, sometimes, because of all the too human characters, sometimes played over the top. Definitely an odd bunch.

Are we sure there will be 125 episodes? Things seem to be moving a little fast if that's so.

Anyway, nice to see both Doris and Icky moving on and becoming better people (I hope).

One thing, out of many, that annoyed me was the family's treatment of Gabriela. Don Emilio knows better, but the others should have as well. Did nobody wonder how her computer got wiped of all data, and then, miraculously, a removable hard drive or other data storage device reappears on her desk? And implicates her.
For folks running a big deal enterprise they all seem dim-witted and naive at times... and then reverse themselves, again without good reason.

The earring could be significant too, or maybe not if the writers get distracted. They can always just show us the moon again.

One last thing for now. I am impressed with so many people in this novela matched up with the wrong person. Even with the right person life can be hard sometimes.

Ah, well. Hopefully my DVR will record tomorrow's episode completely as I have an afternoon appointment.

Gabriela was indeed treated shabbily. JE and Cris in particular have a lot to atone for. But sound judgement seems to be sorely lacking here overall. Easy to pin the dedicated, loyal employee with circumstantial (planted) evidence than launch a legitimate, "real" investigation. Don Emilio is of course exempt from all this foolishness.

Hearing ReFrida spell it out again, just brings all the protests to the surface for me! In what world, is it Angel's fault that Frida's life turned out the way it did??? Refrida's favorite refrain 'I hate you because you took everything from me!' She didn't take ANYTHING from you!!! I know she's crazy, but still...

Meanwhile across town, Lupe just shrugs and tells Angel all about the time her aunt and uncle stole a child so casually, throwing it what an ungrateful brat Rebeca is! Okay, she might be an ungrateful brat, but you don't get to just keep any child you find in a forest!!!! But Lupe did clarify that her tios weren't living in the neighborhood when all of this happened and that they all just recently found out about it. So maybe that's why no one cares? They aren't really fully connecting to what happened? It's just a weird story they were recently told, and they shrug and go about their own lives not full processing what it means?

Someone needs to help that little boy on the street! He said he'd been living there for a year!!! How does that happen? How do people NOT see a child that young living on the street for a year?? How do they not do anything about it? So, when they rescue the child - they need to make sure he is abandoned and not stolen and then help him! For the kid's sake, I hope he isn't Misael's!

Yeah, the earring could be in Mau's car or on the ground around the accident scene. Refrida was worried about that too. She asked Misael to go look for it, but he told her that he isn't exposing himself to that crime scene. I mean in Novela law, it's probably a big threat; but in the real world I doubt you could prove much with an earring. It's not like it's the only gold earring in the world, unless it had DNA on it...

It's a massive sized leap to jump to Rebeca is Frida just from the reveal that Alma isn't Rebeca's real mom, but I like it!!! A departure from the norm of the good-hearted protag knows nothing until two episodes before the final! It would be much more fun to see Angel fight back!!! And we know Kimberly dos Ramos has the chops for that!!!

Mati blaming Fatima is cliche, but she thinks that Fatima purposefully accused Romina to keep her away from Luciano. It hurts my head that this story line continues, and NO ONE has noticed that the fraud happened BEFORE Romina was hired at the company!!! I'm just going to grab my beanie and think about something else!

The little boy would break the coldest heart. I can't imagine anyone seeing a young child and leave him to his own devices. Let's get him out of the cold and into a loving home.

The family all witnessed deluded Chris gleefully presenting Refrida with those gold hoops, so if the lost one turns up in Mau 's car , it will be recognized. (I still can't believe they killed off this fly in Refrida's ointment so early on .)
Meanwhile, I am sure that we are going to get a lot of tortured, pathetic looks from non hero i - must - do - the- right -thing JE . Whatever.

If Refrida does manage to get herself into the mansion ,I am sure that Shrewd Don Emilio will have her number. I can't wait to see her try to win him over. He is the real hero of this show .

I wanted to smack Rebeca in her hospital bed going on and about making Angel's life hell like she's entitled to it. So even after Rebeca marries her wonderful prize, she's going to continue clawing at Angel? Loca, a manicomio awaits you.
