Kat, thanks so much for the outstanding recaps you posted. You went above and beyond with all the details. I didn’t read the recaps till I watched them. And then I read you had company and trouble watching. You were a lifesaver for me! I couldn’t watch tv at my daughter’s. Her in-laws were there, a house full of sports fanatics and one tv.

I didn’t realize the new cop was the DA. I’m sure Salvador will uncover that. A lot happened in those two episodes! Anxious to watch tonight’s show.

I posted on the new page as didn’t know if you’d go back to the previous page. And I didn’t know you were recapping another show. That’s a lot of work.

FUGITIVAS #43 Part 1

Previously: Nico disregards Amanda’s experience and sound judgement, declaring HE will go alone into the repair shop. Using trying to find mirrors for his girlfriend’s car as a pretext, Nico is led to the “Madrina” to help the worker locate the mirrors. Suddenly, Nico rashly and foolishly waves his gun, announcing himself as the police. He tells everyone to freeze as the “Madrina” merely smiles. As she yells out, her men begin to appear from the shadows brandishing an array of fierce looking Mad Max weapons. He is outmanned; she laughs as his frightened face reflects his dire situation. All of a sudden, he is grabbed from behind and a very sharp knife is held to his neck. She demands he throw down the gun…

The knife is at Nico’s throat as Amanda alights from the car. She hears Nico being beaten and immediately calls for backup. Nico, in his undershirt, is kneeling on the ground, blood streaming from his mouth when Amanda fires the gun in the air then trains it on the group. They immediately drop their weapons, hands up in the air; the Madrina follows suit.

Matias confronts the Fugivitas about their leaving…The women all have tears in their eyes. He later grabs Lisset’s hand; he confides in her that she has his heart. She smiles and lets him down as gently as she can. She touches his face gently.

Lorena’s friend brings her to her sister’s ballet academy as she is seeking someone to hire. We see dancers teaching young girls in tutus some basic exercises.

Madrina makes a move for the gun on the ground but Amanda turns her head just in time and kicks it out of the way as backup arrives.

Marta is moping in the kitchen and calls Patricio. He is otherwise occupied with Ismael hearing news of the capture so naturally he doesn’t answer. Marta looks worried.

Alejandro arrives home and is warmly greeted by his tio; he gives him the truck back. They talk about the investigation…Alejandro smiles and it is obvious he loves Lorena. They part with Alfredo wishing him good luck.

Frida interrupts Montse play acting; she is going out with Facundo; they discuss Facundo’s penchant for classical music.

Amanda and another officer give Patricio and Ismael a full report of what happened.

FUGITIVAS #43 Part 2

I believe Dario tells Frida he is contacting a lawyer…She gets out of going with him and looks stricken when he leaves.

Amanda is sitting at her desk staring at her gun. Nico comes in looking bruised and beaten and thanks her. Needless to say she is very unhappy; Nico still doesn’t seem to realize he is out of his league. He stands up to leave, clearly in pain.

Patricio, arms folded, firmly but gently rebukes Amanda; this is not to be repeated. The results could have been disastrous due to Nico’s actions. Amanda tries to change his mind but to no avail. Patricio doesn’t want Nico involved. They turn their attention to the photos where I believe Amanda points out Montse, Lisset and Frida’s pictures.

Frida asks Marta about Patricio and continues to encourage her. Later, she helps her with her makeup. Marta takes her bag and leaves smiling.

Florencia asks Gabriela to come into her office. When Gabriela tries to get up, she can’t. Viper Vero has glued her skirt to her chair!!! Trying to seem unruffled, Gabriela simply wraps her sweater around her waist.

Lorena thanks her friend for the job recommendation and joins her and others for cards.

Arturo calls Nico and asks how everything went…Nico is in obvious pain, holding his ribs. Nico visits Ismael who invites him to take a seat. Nico seems to evade saying exactly what happened other than that the auto parts thieves were captured and that is the important thing. Ismael asks if he has had any luck identifying the thug watching Vilchis.

Erick surprises Lisset as she listens to music. He holds out his arm gallantly as they walk out of the bar, arms intertwined, smiling. They grab a bite to eat; he flatters her and calls her princess. Then he says he has something to tell her. He gives her a piece of paper with the address of where her mother is! No, no she says as he begins to argue with her, trying to persuade her to see her before she leaves. Tears pool in Lisset’s eyes…Erick puts the paper in Lisset’s clenched fist and holds her hand as she wipes her tears.

Lorena gets a text from Alejandro, asking how she is. He loves her he says as her friend smiles.

FUGITIVAS #43 Part 3

Nico asks Amanda to go out in gratitude for saving him. It’s not necessary she says unsmilingly but reluctantly agrees to go.

Montse comes in; she is the happiest woman in the world! Facundo is wonderful she says, beaming to Frida. She is on cloud 9.

Amanda is summoned to join others listening in on Alejandro’s phone as he talks with Sofia. However, nothing of importance is said. “Nada” Amanda fumes after the call ends. We then see Alejandro calling Sofia on another phone; the previous conversation was staged!

Vero, seeing Nico’s beaten face, pulls back in concern. He makes light of it, brushing her off saying he is there to see Arturo. She calls Arturo saying her novio is there to see him. He must have asked who it was as she peevishly says Nico. She is all over him but Nico rejects her saying he wants to act professionally at work. Arturo and Nico discuss the Vilchis situation.

Marta surprises Patricio as he leaves work. She said he didn’t return her call and he explains he’s been busy and hadn’t yet seen her calls. She tells him what happened when she didn’t keep their date …Matias is very important to her she says firmly. Do you forgive me? He brushes her fears aside…

Vero waylays Nico on the way out and starts kissing him on his bruised lips. He pushes her away and declines her invitation to go out, brusquely kissing her on the cheek. Incensed, she closes her computer and leaves, following him.

Gabriela and her half skirt arrive home. She hates Veronica she tells Vincente who envelopes her in a comforting hug.

Dario calls the girls together and hands out envelopes with cash. The guilty girls look like they are at a funeral (Dario’s words)! Only viewerville realizes what is going on as we shake our heads collectively.

FUGITIVAS #43 Part 4 of 4

Amanda and Nico are at dinner and I believe she is calling him an idiot. 😊 I really couldn’t follow their conversation but in the end it seemed they both were smiling. Vero barges in, causing a huge scene, accosting and insulting Amanda. Amanda says they are only colleagues but of course Vero is completely out of control by now so Amanda’s words fall on deaf ears. Nico is very angry (obvio!)

Lisset asks Dario how he made out at the lawyers. It didn’t seem as though it was too fruitful.

Alejandro’s doorbell rings. Pointedly ignoring the peephole, he opens it without looking to see who it is – big mistake! The Thug rushes in and grabs Alejandro by the throat! He hits Alejandro and throws him on the floor. Grabbing Alejandro by the throat, he viciously demands to know where Vilchis is!

Some conversations were simply beyond my understanding. I hope I was able to translate at least some of the action correctly. Thank you for adding to and/or correcting what I misinterpreted.

Lorena gets the job helping the owner of the ballet school on the administrative side of her business.

Montse tells Frida all the info she knows about Mozart and that she plans on winning over Facundo with that knowledge. She believes that an educated man of the world like Facundo would be interested in classical music. She wants to prove she is just as cultured as he is. Frida doesn't understand her saying that he might be interested in anything at all maybe car racing , ecology or even crypto currency. Montse doesn't care. She is going to talk about Mozart. Frida asks what if he asks about other composers. Montse tells her to stop making her nervous. She reminds Frida that she is "Cecilia" when she is going out with Facundo and leaves.

Ismael wants Soledad and all of the perpetrators also charged with assault of a public official.

Alejandro tells his uncle he is dedicated to prove Lorena's innocence no matter who is involved. If he fails, he plans on moving to Guatemala to be with Lorena.

Soledad had served 6 of her 12 year sentence when she escaped. Now she can
expect more time due to her committing more crimes.

Amanda tells Nico that he could have been killed and she would have felt guilty. She is angry he didn't tell her that he was armed and reminds him he was only to scope out the location. All he cares about is that they continue working as a team to capture the rest of the fugitives.

Patricio doesn't want Nico involved in any future operations with Amanda . He reminds her that he is an imbecile that doesn't deserve her trust but Amanda sticks up for him. Patricio cannot believe what he is hearing. She says that it was Nico's idea to talk to the bartender. Patricio sarcastically calls him brilliant. He congratulates her on arresting Soledad but doesn't want the way she did it repeated.

Lisset tells Erick that Darío is going to give them a raise She is excited that they can go to Brazil sooner than planned. He is still planning on going with them.

Facundo tells Montse that she is his good luck charm because of the advice she gave him at the (horse racing) track. He won 2,200 pesos. It turns out he likes rock and roll so she didn't have to talk about Mozart.

Nico tells Vero not to refer to him as her "novio" at work. It is not professional and seems childish to him.

Nico wants to make things better with Amanda. He realizes that he when he arrived on the job he was . . . she suggests an "idiot". He was thinking more of "arrogant." He thinks she was "unbearable" but that being said, they have things in common like Alejandro being apprehended for covering for Lorena. She probably is more interested than he because of what she once had going with Alejandro. He insists that, unlike Ismael, he would have found a way to arrest Alejandro. He is sure that after today, he will be recognized for his work and she is going to benefit from that recognition. They were made to accomplish great things. This case is merely their trampoline to bigger and better things. He tells her that she is going to remember what he is telling her.

Darío tells Frida that the lawyer was too expensive and that he will have to find one who is more affordable for him.

He was so fortunate Amanda thought clearly and quickly which in effect likely saved his life.

You crystallized exactly what Patricio said to Amanda; loved "Patricio sarcastically calls him brilliant". HA!

I thought Lorena/Daniela might have a dance background and if so, that she might show off some of her ballet skills. But knowing the new job puts her on the admin side of the business, likely not...

Nico isn't Einstein, but he's smart enough to know who is. Trying to attach himself to Amanda to share in her acumen and success is a good idea. Blackmailing her to do so, wasn't!

Liz, it was fun. I like probably loke this show the best of the ones I am watching. A little humor added goes a long way to making it fun. I'm totally behind on most of the shows now but that's ok. I'd rather devote my time to decorating and family. My first tree is done, decorated while my husband watched football Sunday. Cause nothing depicts Christmas decorating more than football (tongue in cheek).
 

Juana #39 part 1

Juana is at the door, Carlos brought her. People are trying to tell her he’s manipulating her to keep the baby. She wants to understand their story.

Ricardo is blaming Fabio for the fight he saw the videos. Fabio says they were saying things. Salvador comes in and talks to Fabio about what happened. Says the owner should have had security. Ricardo asks if he’s the police and Salvador shows his badge and gives Fabio his card. Fabio says he’s getting back to work.
Almita brings a snack and gives Juana a hug. She tells her Gabriel felt the hours here with her were like a dream he didn’t want to wake up from. Gabriel tells her we’re already two (maybe meaning a couple)

Paula’s mom wants to give her a tranquilizer. Paula wants her husband, for the luxuries, the envy, being the ideal couple. Rogelio wants her to divorce him, she’ll get 50% of his shares and will be the majority.

Juana and Gabriel talk about the rooftop encounter. He had just found out he’d never have a child and she had just taken a pregnancy test. He tells about finding out there was a girl pregnant with his child, discovering it was her and his first attempt at telling her

Jenny is saying Juana should be with David. Josefina says you can’t tell them who to love. Jenny sees the irony in that statement.

Felipe is thinking of his dad. He tells Enriqueta he won’t be able to sleep. Later he watches her sleep and says she’s not to blame for all this rage in me.

Gabriel and Juana almost kiss. He tells her he loved her before he knew about the baby and she believes him. The fire snaps and they jump. Juana says fire is dangerous. Gabriel asks if it’s the fire in the chimney or their fire.

David is smiling, thinking of Juana. Ricardo comes in and asks if he’s thinking of his future wife. Then says marriage is suicide. He asks what happened and David tells him he took a bullet meant for Gabriel.

Gabriel has 6 months to go before he can meet the baby. They kiss, Juana stops him. There’s Paula, the divorce, her pregnancy. He asks if she loves David. She says yes, but not like she loves him.
Juana wants to go home.

David says he loves Juana. Ricardo is happy with many women.

Salvador is thinking of what Camila and Carlos said. Camila feels the person who tried to shoot Gabriel also is responsible for what happened to Francisco. Carlos feels it’s the same person who put the bacteria in the vats.

Gabriel has taken Jenny home. They feel good about where they are. He kisses her on the cheek. Josefina was peeking out the window and asks Juana why she was with him. She says she loves him and Josefina says he’ll only hurt you, you need to protect the baby.

Yadira is talking about her love life with two friends. They ask who she likes more, it’s Salvador, but then she’s fighting with Jenny. They tell her Jenny only likes married men.

Almita says Gabriel arrived sad and now he’s happy. That makes her happy. He went to sleep with the hope that he’ll be here with his son and her.

Juana #39 part 2

Jenny and Juana bring David breakfast. He’s happy he’s going home. Jenny says they can help him but he says he only needs Juana. He wants to get back to work.

Ramon is coughing, the nuns come and bring him water.

Paula yells at Tania to get the door. Manuel comes in. Mom told him she wants Juana to disappear. He tells her not to go down the same road as dad. She says she’s braver than he is. She says if Gabriel isn’t mine he’ll be nobody’s.

Felipe comes in as Josefina is serving breakfast. Margarita says he’s angry with me. Josefina says no, he’s angry at himself.

Enriqueta tells Inez she’s worried about Felipe. He won’t let her help him and she hurts for him. Inez feels that’s a sign of a deep love.

Pacheco walks in on Salvador sleeping at his desk. He slams a book down to wake him. He sees he’s been working on the board. Sal sends him to look for Ramon. He’s going to the brewery, he feels all the answers are there.

Juana and Dani are at the hospital. Dani brought David breakfast. Juana tells her they had brought him breakfast and then tells her about Gabriel. Dani gets mad at her for what she’s doing to David. She seems to end the friendship. Ricardo goes in David’s room and sees Jenny. When David finds out Ricardo is her boss he says this is the girl you’ve been talking about. Jenny wants to know what he said and he tells her she’s efficient, beautiful, etc. Dani and Juana come in. David suggests she give the breakfast to Ricardo.

A woman, Severiana, comes to Paula’s. Rogelio tells Paula this is your lawyer. He tells the lawyer he wants Gabriel to end up on the street with nothing.

Jenny realizes Ricardo is his mom’s boss. He doesn’t like that term, he prefers companions. He goes on about Jenny then says he understands why David loves Juana, something about the family, guessing like mother like daughter. Jenny drags him out of the room, he asks”your place or mine”. She tells him never, he tells her there’s a long line of women waiting in line for him. Then he fires her. Meanwhile Juana is asking David about his roommate. Dani is upset with her questioning David. Juana won’t take care of David in his apartment, the roommate makes her uncomfortable. Dani feels Juana owes it to David but he says no, he hopes to be back to work. Juana says she’ll borrow Felipe’s car to take him and Dani tells her it’s the least she can do. I now think Dani deserves David.

Juana is at the doctor’s. The doctor tells her she wasn’t going to see her again until Gabriel told her he was the father.

Gabriel goes into Carlos’ office and tells him to stop what he’s doing and get up. He hugs Carlos and thanks him, he has hope. Just then Juana sends him a picture of the baby. Inez brings Salvador in. He tells them the disappearance of Francisco, the bacteria in the beer and the attempted murder, all converge at the brewery.

Dani is crying nd the redheaded coworker comes in. Dani tells her she envies Juana, this is bigger than their friendship. She hates her. The other girl comes in and tells them Manuel kissed her. She’ll be a Fuemayor.

Juana tells the family she won’t keep the child from Gabriel.

Paula’s lawyer says she’ll get 50%. Rogelio is thrilled, sees Gabriel losing the presidency. Paula says she had a contract. The baby is hers and Gabriel’s, she wants the baby!

Kat, this is one of my favorite shows too. I’m only watching the daytime show. I’m at the beginning of Fugitives. I think I need advice on recapping. It takes me a long time. Diana gets her recap out right after the show. I’m guessing everyone types as they watch. And I take notes while I watch. I’m way behind on Christmas but need to get busy! I’m blaming it on the late Thanksgiving!

Diana, what bothers me is that Nico seems to think that he is now permanently on the task force in search of the fugitivas and behind the scenes has conveniently usurped the leadership position from Amanda. This is only the start for them! Sure. I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop: Amanda being the leaker. When will she stop being stupid? No self-respect?

Liz I'll catch this at naptime hopefully. Paula getting the baby is bonkers. A. The contract was not with Juana, B. Gabriel and Juana are the biol parents so they have the most right to the baby. C. Gabriel has a lot of ammunition against Paula, like the security footage of her and the male model, contraceptive use while supposedly trying to get pregnant. I'm sure I am forgetting other things, but still.

Kat, I also thought Paula wanting, and thinking she had the right to the baby was crazy. If they had a contract it was with the woman that miscarried. I never watched Jane the Virgin here, I wonder how alike they are. I’m not sure why Gabriel is giving Paula anything, he certainly has enough against her. And he must know he’ll be turning his company over to Rogelio. Aside from all that, this is still a “lighter” show to watch.

Liz, thank you for a great recap that captured every turn.. I have been watching several novelas and a dizi . However , " La Familia " and " Sed De Venganza" is getting so dark and violent that I may stop watching them and just read the recaps . This show and Fugitivas have some hope and lighter moments , so i will keep watching them.

Amanda is a smart woman. She should fess up now before things get totally out of hand. As you noted Nico is already acting large and in charge. Patricio seems determined not to let Nico on the "team", I hope he sticks to that!

I just wanted to make a quick comment on recapping.

The reason I get my recaps up fairly quickly is because I only have one chance to watch! No VCR so no ability to rewind or rewatch. Because my Spanish comprehension is so limited, if I didn't get it as it played out, I'm not going to get it later! :)

I'll reply to Diana first. That is amazing you can do it live. Can you stop a show and play as you go along? That is my trick. Also Univision has an app that broadcasts the shows the next day, I believe. Because I, like Susan, am watching 4 shows sometimes it's days before I watch an episode. So I'm not commenting much as I'm behind.

I agree with Diana, Liz you are doing a great job. I did manage to watch this today and it so happened it had English subtitles. Seems to be hit or miss when I get them. The reason Paula wants the baby is because it is something Gabriel wants. The one thing Salvador is dropping the ball on is the missing memory card of the missing photos. I'm sure it will show up in the end to solve it all.

OT, after almost 2 years I am in the .1% of Duolingo learners, lol. I'm up to level 93 in Spanish. Not sure how many there are. It does help me with the language learning.

Another thing, Jenny isn't fired , yet. But he won't allow her to call in sick, switch shifts, etc or it is grounds for firing.

Jenny's boss wants Jenny and the gay guy to cover the cost of the bar fight. Salvador says he wrote up a report so it could be turned in for insurance and gives it to gay guy in front of owner who he appears to ignore.. He then says the bar is required to carry insurance so they aren't responsible for covering the repairs.

I think that is all I noted.

Hi Kat. I have no choice but to do the recap, typing as the show airs. No, I can't stop it or rewind, etc. No second looks! :) For the most part, I try and focus on the characters actions and facial expressions. Sometimes I glean part of the dialogue, other times, I don't.

Your language skills are very high level; glad you have joined the recapping team!

FUGITIVAS #44 Part 1

Alejandro’s doorbell rings: he chooses this unfortunate time to ignore the peephole, opening the door without looking to see who it is! The Thug rushes in and grabs Alejandro, pummeling him and then throwing him on the floor. Angrily holding Alejandro by the throat, he viciously demands to know where Vilchis is!

Alejandro says he doesn’t know and receives another sharp blow; one of several more brutish hits…

As the entire restaurant watches, Nico confronts Vero who is still making a scene. He throws a few bills down and leaves.

As Lorena calls Alejandro, he is gasping for air as the thug’s hands wrap around his neck choking the life out of him. Next, the thug overtly threatens him, showing him pictures of Gabriela, his uncle and then Sofia! His intentions are all too clear. He makes the motion of putting an invisible gun to Alejandro’s forehead and pulling the trigger. He finally leaves.

Gabriela has her ruined skirt in her hand which Vincente asks her for. She looks as perplexed as I am as he puts it in a bag.

Later, Alejandro worriedly rifles through the pictures.

Vero shows up at Florencia’s, bursting in uninvited, helping herself to a glass of wine. She tells Florencia about her encounter with Nico and Amanda. “Ahhh amiga” she moans, taking a slip as Florencia takes the bottle and glass away. When Vero brings up Ismael, Florencia tells her not to compare the two situations. Vero ends up with another glass of wine and they progress to the kitchen table when Ismael comes home. He asks if she is joining them but she says no. Florencia shows off the charcuterie board but Ismael doesn’t appear interested.

Lorena reaches Alejando, who is mum about his attack. Lorena tells him about her new job. His dinner seems comprised of some sort of a pitiful half of a sub roll. Their conversation ends with talk of chocolate and sweet words.

Dario thanks the girls for another great night at the bar. Frida and Dario are left together who exchange buenos noches and sweet kisses.

Ismael is on the computer deep in thought.

FUGITIVAS #44 Part 2

Vero runs into Vincente on the street. He hands her the bag with Gabriela’s skirt!! She natters on and on, insisting Gabriela is the sister of Juan Pablo’s murderer. Then, she drops the bomb that Lorena was Ismael’s lover! Vincente doesn’t seem to believe it but Vero insists it is true. She turns and walks away, putting the skirt in the trash bin. At the apartment, Gabriela picks up a love note Vincente left for her and smiles.

Sofia gets a call from Alejandro; he tells her about his late-night visitor. Alejandro asks her to help him find out when Vilchis left the hospital. He cautions her to be watchful and wary as Arturo’s minions are dangerous.

Nico apologizes to Amanda for Vero’s behavior. It’s not necessary she says, we aren’t friends. Nico digests this.

Lisset talks with Matias in the morning and although I gather it was a pivotal conversation I could not follow it.

Nico, never one to leave things alone, enters Amanda’s office. He tells her Ismael and Lorena were amantes. Amanda is incredulous.

Frida tells Erick that Dario wants to divorce Carmen but can’t afford an attorney. Erick tries to call Alejandro who is otherwise engaged. Alejandro does call him back and tells him to meet him at his house later.

Ismael has Patricio, Amanda and Nico in his office showing them a videotape. Nico recognizes the thug right away. Next, they view a tape of the hospital parking lot that shows Vilchis’ sister running out of the car with Vilchis following her.

Vero next pesters Florencia at work about Nico.

Then Alejandro shows up on the video, much to Amanda’s surprise.

Alejandro shows up at Ismael’s while Amanda and Patricio are also there. Why are you here Amanda snaps rudely. He tells them the thug showed up…Amanda takes great offence at something Alejandro says and has to be held back. After Patricio and Amanda leave, a concerned Patricio asks his daughter what is wrong.

Ismael and Alejandro talk culminating in Ismael pounding the table demanding to know where Lorena is! Alejandro says that Vilchis testimony will prove Lorena is innocent.

FUGITIVAS #44 Part 3 of 3

Vero stops Gabriela as she tries to get to her desk, harassing her, but Gabriela puts her in her place.

Matias and Marta have an argument which I could not understand. I do suspect it is related to the talk Matias and Lisset had earlier.

Amanda is behind Alejandro as he receives his files back from the police. Ismael shakes his head. Amanda talks with Ismael and is going to investigate further.

Patricio and Ismael discuss Alejandro as Vincente arrives, ready to go with the police on a search for Teo’s mother. He is abrupt with Ismael.

Amanda shows up at the hospital asking about Vilchis.

Alejandro’s doorbell rings and true to form, he never checks but fortunately this time it’s Erick. He starts talking…

Vincente and police backup alight from a car. Vincente shows a man on the street a picture (of Teo’s mother) and asks if he knows this woman; the answer is no.

“Vero why are you here” Nico snaps. She asks him to forgive her which he does, putting his hands on her shoulders. He tries to tell her he doesn’t care about Amanda (did he say she prefers women or did I totally misconstrue that?).

Finally a group of street people seem to know who the woman Vincente is searching for is. They point to a woman who seems totally out of it. Vincente gently goes up to the woman and holding out the picture quietly asks “is this your hijo?"

I sincerely apologize for letting everyone down tonight with my lack of dialogue translations. I suspect that the talk Matias and Lisset had is the cause for whatever upset Marta so much but I cannot connect the dots. If anyone could kindly fill in the blanks, I would be most appreciative. Way too much Vero tonight!

Thanks for the information on recapping Diana. I’ve always enjoyed your recaps and can’t believe you do such great recaps with one watch and limited Spanish. My Spanish is limited and I can go back. Sometimes I replay a scene 5 times and still don’t get it.

Thanks for the added information Kat. I wasn’t sure if Ricardo said goodbye or fired in the hospital scene. One is despedido, one is despedida. Guess I guessed wrong! That whole conversation with Salvador at the restaurant was over my head. Thanks for filling in my blanks. I do Duolingo too. Not sure where I rank, but pretty low! Haven’t dealt with telenovela topics yet!

EXTRAS #1

Nico tries to explain to Vero with no success that Amanda is somebody that he works with. She is a fellow detective.

After the wine quiets her ranting and raving, Vero decides that she needs to apologize to Nico. That is the only way to get him back.

Vicente tells Vero that Gabriela has nothing to do with what her sister did. He will not overlook another nonsensical thing she does to Gabriela. She has been warned.

The fugitivas tell Marta that they are planning on leaving town after their next paycheck in two weeks. They all will miss each other but Frida says go they must because they are fugtivas! That reality cannot be changed and there is no way they want to see Darío or Marta hurt because of them.

Amanda tells Nico that friends do not blackmail friends.

Matías is overly upset that the fugitivas are leaving. He and his teenage brain tells Lisset that he could always tell his dad that he isn't doing well in school and wants to go to a school in a different city. She tries to get it through his head that they need to change countries. They are wanted by the police. They have already told his grandmother that they will be gone in two weeks. He wants to go with them. She says that is not possible but they will stay in touch.

After Nico tells Amanda that Ismael and Lorena were lovers, he adds fuel to the doubts in Amanda's head when he asks if she has ever noticed how Ismael gets so close to catching Lorena but never does. It is always an "almost."
They "almost" find her; they "almost" capture her. The are stuck in the "almost" world" Isn't that strange???

Ismael tells Amanda, Patricio that they have to do everything in their power find to find the guy on the video tape. He is the key to finding out what happened to Vilchis.

Vero tells Flo that Nico hasn't answered any of her calls. Flo suggests she let him cool down for a couple of days. Vero cannot take that. She is jealous. He could be gone with another in a couple of days. She decides she will go to his office and get on her knees and beg for his forgiveness.

Ismael tells Amanda to find out what Alejandro was doing at the hospital. As for the fugitivas, maybe some of their informants will have news.

EXTRAS #2

Alejandro comes to see Ismael so that the items they took from his place when they searched it can be returned to him. He told them they weren't going to find
anything that would incriminate him. Amanda gets loud accusing him of covering for that murderer Lorena. He asks if she has any evidence of that and threatens to sue her for defaming his character. She starts to lose control and Ismael has her and the others leave so he can talk alone to Alejandro.

Patricio tells Amanda that she has to control herself and not be ruled by her emotions. He's told her that many times before.

Nico tells Amanda that he thinks that what he told her about Ismael's "almost" world is true. Why did Ismael ask to talk to Alejandro alone??? Ismael evidently didn't want them there for a reason.

Alejandro tells Ignacio that he knows nothing about Vilchis not comming to ratify his complaint. Ismael is sure that Lorena is responsible for Vichis getting beat up and not showing up. Alejandro laughs saying Ismael makes Lorena sound like some mob boss. No matter what Ismael asks him about Lorena or accuses him of, Alejandro makes it clear that he hasn't heard from her in a some time and is putting her case aside. He feels that way after concluding that he could never show her innocence. Alejandro has to admit that JP''s killer is more astute than he is. Ismael doesn't believe him. He isn't the kind of man who gives up. Alejandro adds that his connection with Lorena has only brought him problems. They searched his house, interrupted his vacation days with their operation and even his uncle ended up being involved. Ignacio asks if Lorena knows he is no longer her lawyer. Alejandro asks how?? if he hasn't spoken with her for some time. That being said, Alejandro hopes they never find Lorena. There is no reason for her to be in jail. Ignacio reminds him she was found guilty in court of law. Alejandro concludes they will never agree.

Amanda has all sort of "suppositions" about the Vilchis case that her father easily shoots down with logic. He thinks that Vichis got scared when he saw what had been written in the press. Patricio wishes he knew who leaked that information. He would love to see them get what they deserve. Amanda looks nervous and says they will never find that out. Patricio tells her they need to find Vilchis and the guy who was watching him.

Matías asks Marta to get the fugitivas to stay. She says that is not her decision. From his earlier conversation with Lisset, he somehow has concluded that Marta is making them move away. She says it is not true. It is safer for all concerned for them to go. It is very risky for them and for his father. The police are looking for them. When they arrived they said that they would only be staying long enough to save money to leave the country. He tells Marta he doesn't want them to go. (WAH!) He would rather see her move out!

Amanda thinks that Ismael should arrest Alejandro as he picks up this things. Ismael tells her to let it go. With a smile Alejandro says he wishes he had time to listen to Amanda but he has places to go and things to do. She moans to Ismael about not arresting Alejandro. Ismael tells her they need overwhelming evidence if they want to file charges against him and they don't have it. He also tells her about Alejandro saying that he is no longer representing Lorena. Amanda doesn't believe that. Ismael repeats that they need evidence showing he is Lorena's accomplice to arrest him.

Ismael tells Patricio that Alejandro is no longer representing Lorena. Patricio doesn't believe it and sees it as a strategy so they no longer are watching him.
Ismael can see that but asks why haven't they been able to prove that they have been in contact. Patricio thinks she must have changed her name, city or even country.

Vicente is cool towards Ismael because he has noticed that they keep on finding fugitive after fugitive but never are able to find Lorena. He finds that
strange. It seems to him as if somebody is helping her.

At the hospital, Amanda asks for a list of Vilchis' visotrs only to be told that there is no list.

Alejandro tells Erick that Lorena crossed the border and is in a safe place. They discuss Darío's problem with Carmen who jus happens to be married.

Yes, Nico tells Vero that Amanda likes women.

Patricio as usual sees right through Alejandro. Amanda is close to going off the rails; she needs to get her jealousy in check. She's on the verge of ruining her career teaming up with Nico. And for leaking the information of course.

Juana #40 part 1

Paula feels if she has the baby she’ll have Gabriel. The lawyer asks about the contract-it’s between the woman and the Rubio’s. Paula suggests Juana planned to get pregnant by a millionaire. Paula is the victim. Severiana thinks it’s worth a try.

Juana tells her family that Gabriel is a victim of the artificial insemination, same as she was. Felipe says the baby will have his name and and will be responsible for the baby. Josefina thinks he and Paula will take the baby. Juana says he asked for a divorce and they’re in love.

Gabriel can’t believe someone from the brewery is behind everything. Salvador says it started because Francisco was going to sell his shares. Who would want the brewery, or Gabriel, to fail. Does he have someone with a personal vendetta against him. Carlos and Gabriel look at each other.

Josefina, Jenny and Felipe are talking. They think Juan’s should marry David. Josefina rolls her eyes over Gabriel and Juana’s “love” A divorce will not be easy. Paula’s humiliated and won’t give up easily. Someone tried to shoot Gabriel. Is Juana in danger?

Rogelio doesn’t think Paula should try to get the baby. She tells him he’s only interested in the brewery, she’s only interested in Gabriel. Rogelio tells her Fabriel isn’t interested in her. She thinks if she has the baby he will be. Rogelio tells her she’d have to go before a judge and prove that Juana had this plan. Amparo agrees with Paula.

Margarita tells Juana she agrees with her. She knows the story and thought Gabriel was in love with her at Jenny’s birthday. Margarita thinks it’s like a movie, getting pregnant like she did is crazy. Juana says life is crazy. Margarita says like she’s living here with with your family. Juana has to leave to pick up David from the hospital.

Inez is giving Salvador a tour of the breeery. Camila wonders if he thinks he’ll find Francisco here. No, he tells her the person behind his disappearance probably works here. Camila tells Carlos she doesn’t like the policeman being here. Carlos tells her they have to help the police, he’s worried about Gabriel. So is Camila. They both agree it’s good he’s divorcing Paula. Then he tells Camila that Gabriel and Juana love each other and are together.

Juana helps David at his apartment. He thanks her. She says her family will always welcome him. He tells her how brave she is to have the baby, he loves her. He mentions Gabriel and Juana looks uncomfortable.

Salvador has a crew looking at the videos from the date of the contamination. He goes into Manuela’s office and asks who would benefit if the business fails.

Jenny is talking to Pacheco. He hasn’t found her father. She takes the bear Salvador had given her and says “it’s mine.

Ramon is talking to a nun about his health. She thinks he should look for his family. He says he can’t recover them.

Carlos tells Enriqueta he’d like another chance with her. She says she’s with someone. He asks if he makes her happy. Yes. He wants her to help organize something but she says it’s not a good idea.

Manuel asks Salvador if they have any evidence. Yes, but it’s not conclusive yet.

Rogelio asks the DA to take Salvador off the case. He can’t, it would raise suspicions.

Juana #40 part 2

Rogelio gets a call fromSeveriana. She talked to Claudio. It seems they won’t get the 50/50. Paula doesn’t care. She needs the baby.

Juana is serving David food when she gets a call from Gabriel. David says he has no respect, he won’t leave her in peace. She answers the phone. The photo of the baby is framed. He’ll tell people that’s his baby in the woman he loves. She tells David he called about the photo she sent, he wants to see it.

Jenny has the bear and is thinking of Salvador. Josefina mentions the bear being back so Jenny tells her she went to ask about her dad.

Felipe is on the phone telling someone about their suspension. Chili’s takes the phone and talks to the customer and all is well. Chimis tells Felipe he needs to control himself when he’s upset.

Juana wants to do David’s laundry. He has a woman that comes in and does all that. He mentions Gabriel calling, not happy that he doesn’t leave Juana alone. Juana has to go to the university.

Juana is at work and Fabio tells her that her galán came in and all is well.

Margarita goes to the detectives about her dad. Salvador excuses himself. Pacheco has no news but gives her a picture of the stars on the night of her birth and her favorite candy.

Gabriel is looking at the picture of the baby when Camila comes in and asks about it. He thanks her for opening his eyes about Paula. She says he deserves someone that will give their all for him. She’s one of those. Claudio interrupts, Paula and her lawyer want war. His shares are a family inheritance and can’t be in the divorce settlement. He mentions the contract they signed for their baby.

Camila runs into Manuel. She asks how the family is reacting to the divorce papers. Manual says Paula won’t take it easily. Camila says it’s incredible that people don’t realize your father is a monster. He has her arm and tells her to calm down. Viviana passes them. She slams her papers down at her computer. Her redhead friend asks what’s wrong. It’s Camila, she hates her, she’s trying to rob her of Manuel.

Enriqueta is thinking of her conversation with Carlos. She calls Felipe. He won’t answer as he still has that bad attitude.

Juana has returned home from university. Camila approaches her and asks how much money will it take for you to leave Gabriel alone. Camila degrades her house neighborhood and life. Juana tells her she loves her family, her home and her neighborhood. She’s going to school and will become the person she wants to be and reach her dreams. She tells Camila she never will.
Josefina asks what Camila wanted. Juana tells her she offered money to leave Gabriel. Josefina fears for Juana but Juana fears for Gabriel with all these vampires after him Josefina thinks they’re also after her baby, she needs to disappear. They think Paula sent her.

The lawyers are with Paula and Gabriel. Gabriel can’t prove Paula took birth control pills. Paula wants rights to the baby.
Juana is thinking back and says to herself that she wants the three of them together for always.

Rogelio tells Amparo the whole family has to be on his side against the Rubios.
