FUGITIVAS #53 Part 1

After wrestling with his demons and feelings of betrayal, Dario has finally decided he will not report the Fugitivas to the police. His stance and his hard heart have not softened though; they have two days to move out.

The Fugitivas plan to go first to Guatemala and then, to their final destination – Brazil.

Lorena fills Alejandro in; she will be waiting for him in Guatemala. He tells her to be very careful and she kisses him passionately.

Amanda has a new target: one of the fugitivas, the pregnant Natalia.

Vincente is with Gabriela at breakfast as Charo hovers. He kisses her as Charo solicitously asks if she wants to sit in her bedroom and watch TV?

Matias enters dour Dario’s bedroom. He asks him how he is…One look is all it takes to see his foul mood. Matias tries to tell him the girls are good but Dario has nothing for scorn but everyone, including him and his grandmother. Matias glares.

Nico sits down at Amanda’s desk, clearly irritated. She asks him why and I couldn’t understand his reply but she fights back verbally defending Ismael and Nico leaves, even angrier.

Teo and the rest of the boys enter Vincente’s class. He asks Teo if he is happy and Teo points to his nose which I believe means yes.

Montse paces to the irritation of Lisset. She frets and the other two try to calm her down. Frida tells Montse that Dario is the love of her life. Lorena tells the girls they are her family. They wish her much happiness with Alejandro. Group hug.

Alejandro goes to Ivan Castro’s office and announces himself to Ivan’s assistant. She calls him and he makes an excuse but Alejandro barges into his office anyway. Annoyed, Ivan will allow him 5 minutes only. They discuss Lorena and then Alejandro shows him a picture of Ivan with Juan Pablo! Ivan admits he was a friend. Oh, Vincente is there too. “Curious” Alejandro says. The silver haired fox with a slick tongue tries to explain it away. However, as Alejandro shuts the door on his way out for once, there is no smarmy smile on Ivan’s face.

Dario momentarily enters the kitchen as Marta and the women immediately tense up. He stares stonily at each of them and has a particularly livid look for Frida.

Arturo is trying to make polite conversation, asking Vincente about the foundation. In the middle of the conversation, Florencia sashays in wearing a purple leather dress.

Dario is in a warehouse with a sea of cases of Coca-Cola.

FUGITIVAS #53 Part 2

Arturo is actually smiling when Florencia interrupts the conversation. Vincente decides this is the perfect time to announce that Florencia is having an affair with Nico; a friend of Ismael, her not quite ex.

Charo looks on, mouth slightly agape as Arturo roars at Florencia, demanding to know if it is true or not? He wants to grill her further and Vincente takes advantage by leading Gabriela away. Arturo rages Nico is Ismael’s friend and forbids her from seeing him. She stares at him stonily.

Marta is making calls (not sure to whom) when Alejandro calls Lorena. He sends her the picture of Juan Pablo and Ivan, with Vincente in the background.

All of a sudden, an emotional Frida, tears streaming down her face, faints dead away!

On their ride home in a taxi, Vincente and Gabriela discuss Florencia’s affair…She is my sister he says…then asks Gabriela to forgive him.

Lorena runs in, answering Marta’s screams. Lorena picks up the phone and calls an ambulance.

Dario is in his car, remembering kissing Frida and then recalling the scene where she came clean they are all fugitivas.

Charo questions Florencia. I believe she says Vincente misinterpreted her kiss with Nico. Charo, to no one’s surprise, is there for Florencia.

Ivan calls Arturo and Lisset listens outside the door.

The ambulance comes and spirits Frida away. Marta elects to ride in the ambulance with her. Watching them leave, Montse and Lorena are very upset.

A very pregnant Natalia goes to the hospital desk in tears. She strokes her stomach, very upset.

Frida is wheeled down the hall on a gurney when she wakes up and starts to panic and cry. Marta tries to calm her.

The doctor tells Natalia the baby is all right.

Vincente wants Gabriela to rest. It only takes a minute for her to put her head on the pillow and sleep.

Nico calls Florencia, beyotching why she didn’t call him. She tells him Vincente told her father he saw them. The possibility of a scandal made her father furious. Nico is NOT happy.

Marta asks how her “sobrina” is. She is undergoing tests.

FUGITIVAS #53 Part 3 of 3

Dario comes in and starts in on Lorena; she tries to explain about Juan Pablo’s murder and swears her innocence.

Montse comes up but stops short when she sees Dario.

“Mi amor” obnoxious Vero effuses when Nico walks in. She runs up, throws her arms around his neck, kissing him. “Control yourself” he says eyes darkening, pushing her away.

Nico walks into the lion’s den aka Arturo’s office. Ahh, shockingly though Arturo acts more like a lamb. Smiling with not one raised syllable, he murmurs that “my daughter” is hermosa, intelligent he begins. Simpatico Nico adds to the list. Nico quickly realizes Arturo is very much aware of what happened between him and Florencia. The gist of their conversation seems to be that Arturo tells Nico he is intelligent but this is not the time for any scandal. He asks Nico about Vero and Nico scoffs. At the end, Nico seems to reluctantly agree and the men shake hands. After Nico leaves, Arturo calls him an idiot. Nico runs into Flor walking down the hall and I think both agree they don’t want problems.

Two nurses talk about one of the patients; I believe one thinks she looks familiar.

Montse and Lorena receive word from Marta that Frida is stable however neither utter a word to Dario about Frida.

A nurse asks Marta to come with her to see Frida.

In the last scene of the evening, as Amanda enters Ismael’s office, he gets a call. One of the fugitivas is in the hospital! They rush out…

Another extremely difficult night of dialogue. I really wasn’t clear as to what was said during the Arturo/Nico/Florencia conversations so I tried to keep comments vague and minimal. Kindly fill in what I missed or what I got wrong.

There was not much new info tonight but lot of rehashing of what we already know.

Darío tells Matías that the girls will be leaving in two days. Matías is disappointed and still cannot get it through his thick skull that they are FUGITIVAS on the run and so they are acting ILLEGALLY and that helping them is also ILLEGAL.

Alejandro visits Iván to find out about where Aldo the thug is but Iván has no info about him. When Alejandro expresses his disbelief, Iván says that it is the same situation that Alejandro has not knowing where Lorena is. Neither Aldo or Lorena are their clients anymore. Iván also tells Alejdandro that everyone knows that Lorena killed JP.

Nico is complaining AGAIN to Amanda that she didn't include him ONE MORE TIME when she was working along side Ismael. She isn't working alone anymore. They have a DEAL. He warns her again that if she cuts him out one more time, everyone will know she was the leak and that will put her job in jeopardy.

After the blowup with Flo when Vicente told their father about her kiss with Nico, Vicente decides that Gabriela can convalesce just fine at their apartment.

Marta and the girls are calling unemployed women to see if they want a job at the bar. They are trying to help staff the bar so they do not have to close it for a few days to re-staff it after the girls leave.

Alejandro shows Lorena the photo with Iván, JP and Vicente in the background. She sees no problem with the photo. Alejandro thinks there is a clue of some sort in it.

Lorena tells Alejandro he can stop trying to prove her innocence. They can have a good life together in Guatemala. He agrees but for now something is telling him he has to continue the investigation. She loves him and will be waiting for him in Guatemala.

Lorena tells her whole story to Darío. He would like to believe her but at this time, he cannot distinguish what is true or a lie.

We still do not know Frida's diagnosis.

Jarifa, thank you for your always astute and immensely helpful insights.

"Iván also tells Alejdandro that everyone knows that Lorena killed JP". As Aerosmith (who I saw decades ago at a concert at my college for $1) famously sings, "Same old song and dance". Basta!

Is Nico so stupid that he doesn't realize it is Patricio and Ismael who make the call as to who is involved in the cases? Go ahead Nico, spill the secret. We know it's coming out eventually!

Thank you for explaining Marta was trying to recruit staff for the bar.

Ale is likely right that the picture of JP and Ivan means something but what? Is Vincente being in it a red herring or part of the mystery?

Frida and her mystery disease is so frustrating. Perhaps we'll get a clue tomorrow?

I can't understand why Florencia is still involved with Nico.At first it seemed she wanted to get back at Ismael for not paying enough attention to her, but now it's all over, what's the point of this affair? She isn't interested in him and doesn't even respect him. He's more trouble than he's worth at this point.

I'm back! I officially caught up with the 4 TNs I'm watching 30 minutes into this episode, which is just perfect. I can FF through the commercials for the following 3 hours of viewing and knock it down to a bit more than 2 hours of my time.

Diana, I read your recap almost as soon as you post them and think I can clarify this or that scene for her, but I know Jarifa will get it better than I do I wait till both "recaps" are up.

If I recall correctly, Vincente returned from living in another country the night of the murder. ( Forgive me if I get some things wrong, Juana has a murder mystery of sorts also in the first episodes so I may get them confused). I don't see any significance to his being in the photo. Unless Arturo is claiming it was a photo taken at a different time than the murder mystery frame Lorena party. Vicente's presence confirms the timeframe.

Waterlily, I agree about Flo and Nic. Arturo advising Nick to wait a few years to make public his relationship!

Frida's mystery ailment is going the way of the mystery business from "Receta". That was never disclosed....
 

Juana #47 part 1 of 3

Gabriel accuses Paula of trying to get rid of Juana and she denies it. Amparo is trying to break up the argument. Paula says she had nothing to do with those men. Gabriel wonders how she knew it was men. A cameraman is filming and Amparo tells him that doesn’t leave here

Dani brings David home and wants to cook for him. He wants a drink. Dani turns and sees him with no shirt on but his medical gear in place. Oops, just her imagination

Gabriel tells Amparo to leave them alone. Paula says she has always loved him. She asks about the baby. Is the baby ok. He calls her a hypocrite who never loved him. He’ s the love of her life. He says Juana is the love of his love and they’re better than ever and will be together forever.

The cameraman and all the people are watching the film. Amparo comes in telling them to not watch. Luciano introduces himself to Amparo. He announces he’s Paula’s lover just as Gabriel comes in. He tells the cameraman to film this and punches Luciana, not because he’s Paula’s lover but because he’s a coward. Amparo feels that’s proof Gabriel is violent.

Camacho asks Rogelio how it went with Elvira. Between her and the body at the hacienda Gabriel won’t know what hit him.

Elvira is talking to Salvador’s boss, who is Rubio’s friend/partner. She had asked to speak to the detective but was sent to him. He says he’s taken a personal interest in the case. Elvira thinks Francisco is dead. After saying he can’t name any suspects he says he thinks it was Gabriel. He mentions the shares and the romance with Camila. She wants the Rubio land searched. She thinks Gabriel put her son’s body there.

Camila asks how Juana and the baby are. He looks hard at her face. He asks if Paula would be capable of planning something like this. She says she’d like to say no but says yes.

Amparo tells Paula Gabriel doesn’t love her and that Paula is obsessed with him. She says hundreds of men desire her. The head of the shoot comes in. She hasn’t completed her contract and will have to pay. She says sure, calls him an idiot and slams the door

Salvador is at the brewery. Gabriel tells him his suspicions, that one of his employees overheard Paula talking about it. They still need proof. Salvador is pleased Gabriel has a guard and will be moving her to the hacienda.

Juana is looking at the ultrasound when Josefina comes in. She loves seeing Juana so content. Juana is content because she has a wonderful grandmother.
Now that she’s going to be a mother she realizes all Josefina does for them.

Dani and David toast. He’s celebrating because he knows he and Juana will always only be friends. When you accept the reality you can move on with your life. Dani gets up and says she’s accepting her reality. She leaves and David looks confused.

Juana #47 part 2

Rogelio is talking with his buddy in the police force. He’ll send Detective Castillo to the Rubio land. They’re pleased with Elvira’s reaction. Paula and Amparo come in arguing. Amparo says it’s just something between the two of them.

Salvador tells Gabriel his intuition tells him there are powerful people behind the disappearance of Francisco. He thinks Gabriel should get Juana out of the country for a while

Josefina tells Juana it’s her fault Felipe has this hate for her father, and Gabriel too. If he can’t get rid of his anger and rancor he’ll never be able to work it out with Enriqueta. She liked seeing him happy.

Felipe tells Chismi that he’ll be sleeping at the garage since Josefina let Ramon move in. When Chimis says “your jefe” Felipe says he’s not his jefe just a stranger. Chimis seems to say you’ll open the garage early and stay late. Felipe tells him to change the oil on that car.

Salvador tells Gabriel these powerful people are interested in him for love, power or money. H Salvador gets a call from Pacheco. He has to go, but tells him to take his advice and leave the country.

Camila tells her mother Juana and her baby have the lives of a cat. Her mother doesn’t know them. Camila says they’re insignificant. The doorbell rings Reny came to see her mom and also to tell her the police have Nahuel and his gang.

Pacheco tells Salvador they have 5 guys in custody. He shows him the bracelet and Salvador finds a picture on the computer of Paula wearing it. He sees the five in a kind of lineup. All have a criminal history. He interviews Nahuel who says he’s made mistakes in the past, just like everyone. Salvador asks him who paid him to go after Juana Bravo. He plays dumb

Felipe comes to see Juana. They talk cars for a minute then Felipe says that not why you want to see me. Juana wants him to return to the house. He doesn’t want to. She asks about Enriqueta. She doesn’t want to be always about her problems. Just then Enriqueta knocks on the door. She came to see Juana. Meanwhile Juana is telling Felipe he doesn’t want to talk about anyone but they all are moving on with their lives. A knock at the bedroom door and Josefina says Enriqueta came to see Juana. Felipe gets up and turns his back.

Salvador asks Pachecoto bring Nahuel back to him, see if we can make him sing.

Amparo is on the phone with Paula telling her to contact her dad, he can help you. Paula hangs up and says if she’s going to sink Camila will too.

Juana #47 part 3

Enriqueta is asking about how Juana is Juana is glad to see her. Felipe says he’s going. Enriqueta says if you’re uncomfortable I’ll go. Juana says they’re all adults and can be cordial but Felipe leaves. He sees Ramon who asks him to have a coffee together, they don’t have to talk, he doesn’t want to bother him or ask his forgiveness, just have a coffee together. Felipe sits, takes a sip then gets up and leaves.

Rogelio tells Manuel to be prepared, they’ll soon be assuming control of the brewery. Manuel asks how. Rogelio says Gabriel will go to prison, Camila will take over his office and it will be them and Camila. When Manuel questions this, Rogelio says hypothetically. Manuel wonders if hypothetically if Gabriel left Paula would Paula get the shares.

Not sure what Fabio and Ricardo were talking about but Fabio gets fired. Jenny tells him not to worry and follows Ricardo to the freezer door. As he speaks she tells him she likes him when he’s forceful. As he moves closer she knees him and leaves. When he comes out to the restaurant Salvador is there with a clipboard telling him he has serious problems with the law. He has to treat his employees better or they’ll shut him down. Jenny thanks him, wants him to stay but he says another day. Fabio thinks he’s like a detective in a novel.

Rogelio wonders why Amparo is so nervous. She tells him what Paula did. Rogelio wonders how she could let their daughter do this. Does he not know how his own daughter is. Amparo begs him to help. He asks who she hired. Amparo doesn’t know, she just knows she asked Camila for help in getting them. Amparo tells him Gabriel suspects her, he called her an assassin at her photo shoot. Rogelio says Paula needs to move back home.

Enriqueta talks to Ramon and Josefina when she leaves. She loves Felipe but he has a big problem, his father. If he doesn’t get rid of his hate and anger he’ll never be happy. As she leaves Salvador comes in to show Juana some pictures. She picks one guy out. Salvador tells her he had Paula’s bracelet in his possession.

Good afternoon waterlily!

It's hard to know what or who motivates Florencia. Was she with Juan Pablo for the thrill of having an affair? Lorena hadn't really entered the picture when it began (correct me if I'm wrong) so it may have been simply to get Ismael's attention who wan't at her every beck and call.

Her being with Nico seemed to be revenge for Ismael's affair with Lorena. "He's more trouble than he's worth at this point" is exactly right! Cheating seems to be in her DNA. I think she wants to end their affair but he's stuck on her and she is going to have a hell of a time breaking up with him.

FUGITIVAS #54 Part 1

As Amanda natters on to Ismael about Lorena, he receives a call…One of the fugitivas is in the hospital! He and Amanda rush out…

Marta is at teary eyed Frida’s bedside. The doctor comes over and is just about to spill but just as Marta asks him what the diagnosis is (which we’ve all been wondering), Frida asks her to leave so she can be alone with the doctor. (Rats; foiled again!) I believe he says that Frida must receive treatment or she will not make it. But if he said what the diagnosis is, it escaped me. He leaves and Frida sighs.

Vero (wearing what looks like a short white tennis outfit) goes into Florencia’s office and sits down. She sighs but Florencia totally ignores her. Seeing Florencia doesn’t even bat an eyelash, Vero sighs even louder saying FLORENCIA. She complains about Nico and finally wears Florencia down, talking her into going out.

Lorena and Montse tell Lisset about Frida; is she very ill Lisset asks worriedly? Yes says Montse, saying she is in the hospital.

Meanwhile, said Frida is getting some kind of IV treatment that the nurse says is important.

Vincente and Gabriela talk on the non-progress of her case and the car that hit her. He tells her about the woman who called him and told him of her accident.

Lisset spills what she has seen and heard at the Marquez’ mansion.

Frida looks up at the IV, unhooks her pulse monitor and digs the IV needle out of her arm. She unhooks the heart monitor and puts her legs over the side of the bed. She grabs her pants and holds onto the chair for support as she puts them on. Marta waylays the doctor, asking questions. I don’t think he tells her anything…

Uh oh…Ismael and Amanda arrive at the hospital front desk. Natalia sees them and scurries away. They race down the hall…

Marta walks in and sees Frida fully dressed. Frida lies and just then Natalia comes in the room and closes the curtains. Marta recognizes her right away

Looks like Nico has been left behind at the station (once again) much to his consternation.

The three fugitivas scurry out of the cubicle.

FUGITIVAS #54 Part 2

Patricio has a flat tire when Alejandro drives up on his cycle. Problems he asks (answer obvious). Patricio gets a spare tire out of the trunk and Alejandro pulls over to help.

Amanda and Ismael search the cubicles pulling curtains back one by one but the women have flown the coop. Amanda calls for back up but the three women are already outside, crossing the street. Natalia and the girls commandeer a taxi and drive off just in time. The police back up arrive shaking their heads no, they found no one!

Arturo visits Florencia to give her a tongue lashing about Nico. She tries to interrupt but he stops her. Needless to say, she has not been discreet. Flor looks a bit concerned.

Montse is riddled with worry as Lorena and Lisset try to comfort her. All of a sudden, Frida walks in followed by Natalia and Marta. It’s like old home week! They guide Natalia to the bed and have her sit. Marta had asked Natalia where she was living, which was in an abandoned house and oh yes, her baby is due in two weeks. Natalia fills the women in on the police coming to the hospital. Lisset (and we) worry what Dario’s reaction will be when he sees Natalia.

Ismael, Amanda and Patricio talk about how Natalia eluded them. They are going to circulate her picture and formulate a plan to capture her. Patricio asks to help but no Amanda will handle it on her own. Nico confronts Amanda, angry about not going with them. Amanda holds her ground…

Vero and Florencia are in a restaurant when who shows up but Ismael and Amanda!! He introduces her to Florencia who has an angry, sour look on her face. Vero of course is all smiles. I think Vero might have told Florencia that Amanda prefers women but Florencia says it’s not true (?)

Natalia doesn’t want to cause any problems when Dario walks in…Natalia is very friendly putting her head on Dario’s chest saying she knows Marta from the joint (she didn’t really say that 😊)

There are several scenes of Ismael and Amanda enjoying wine and pizza in full view of Florencia and Vero. Amanda actually is smiling as they indulge in small talk. (I’ve had a feeling for a while that they might end up together but dismissed it; now I’m wondering if I was onto something). Amanda shows him pictures on her phone ass the other two crane their necks. Later, Florencia confronts Ismael when he steps away to take a call. She berates him and he goes back at her as she throws Lorena in his face and he throws Juan Pablo in hers. Vero then starts screaming at Amanda for going after Nico as Amanda says they are only colleagues. Vero throws wine on Amanda as Ismael comes over to diffuse the situation. Amanda tries to clean herself up and they pay the bill and leave, Vero screaming insults at them as they leave.

Marta pleads Natalia’s case to Dario; she is pregnant after all. She says she ran into her at the hospital with Frida. He stares alarmed as she explains. Meanwhile, Natalia thanks them but starts to leave so as not to be a burden. All of a sudden, she starts having labor pains. Lisset runs to get Marta. Dario follows behind and stares, mouth agape. Natalia starts to cry. Looks like the baby is coming ready or not!

FUGITIVAS #54 Part 3 of 3

Sofia shows up at Alejandro’s. Sofia seems to say Florencia is Juan Pablo’s murderer and that Arturo covered for her. They pour over pictures most of which seem to be Arturo; empty coke bottles indicate they’ve been at it a while. Later they look at Ivan’s sleazy picture.

Oh my, the baby is here! Natalia holds her as the women fuss and fawn. How is the patient the doctor asks Marta on the phone. It seems the women have things well in hand. Montse comes in and the baby cries as the women are all smiles.

Marta wakes the girls up saying “chicas”. Natalia is still sleeping. I believe she says Dario has given them permission to stay until Frida recovers…

Sofia takes her leave as Alejandro thanks her.

Frida enters Dario’s room but he is cold as ice; he clearly hasn’t thawed. He tells her to close the door on her way out. He gulps and sits down clearly distraught as she cries on the other side of the door.

Nico bothers Amanda at work talking about Vero. Amanda doesn’t want to hear it.

Lorena calls Gabriela, concerned, asking how she is. Vincente comes in and Gabriela whispers to him she is speaking with her sister. She asks her how she is and just then Vincente comes in and has her put it on speaker. Lorena is really worried but Gabriela says she is safe with Vincente. Wrong answer! Lorena says the family cannot be trusted! With that, an angry Vincente grabs the phone and starts screaming at Lorena for badmouthing his family!

Has the slicing and dicing begun? I have a feeling this was a combination of #54 and #55…Kindly add to and/or correct anything I got wrong.

If Frida's diagnosis was revealed tonight, I didn't get it! It's almost as big a mystery as who killed JP!!!

Anon, Dario threw Carmen out but she has popped up again here and there threatening Dario, etc. She isn't Matias' mother and is actually legally married to someone else.

No, we never get a diagnosis for Frida who blames her symptoms all on stress in front of Marta. Frida suggests that maybe she has a little anemia but nothing serious. Marta doesn't know how stress would cause convulsion but is never able to pin her down to a definitive diagnosis. All Marta hears from the doctor is that Frida's blood test had some abnormalities: the number of her her leukocytes, lymphocytes and platelets are all below normal. Frida asks her to leave before she continues her discussion with the doctor about her diagnosis. The doctor supposes correctly that she has said nothing to her aunt(Marta) about the disease she is suffering from. Frida says she hasn't and doesn't want him to tell her either. He will respect her decision. It turns out that Frida has not been receiving any treatment for her condition due to the fact that the medication made her feel dizzy all the time. Shew felt nauseous, sleepy and had no strength to do anything. Then night would come and she couldn't sleep. It wasn't living. It was a high price to pay to live some additional years. She prefers to live whatever is left of her life the best way possible and be done with it. The doctor agrees that the treatment for her illness is very hard
to go through but if she doesn't take it, she has very little time left. He suggests that she try some other medications that are new and might be better for her to deal with. Frida asks if those medications will cure her. The doctor answers that she knows it is very unlikely for her illness to reverse itself, but at least the new medications would help her get along better. Frida doesn't think that is the answer for her. She would rather live less time but be able to enjoy her life for as long as she can. The doctor understands and respects her decision. He adds that each person is free to decide what they want to do with their life. She is grateful for his understanding. She only wants to go home. He tells her that it isn't possible until she recovers a bit more. What happened to her wasn't anything minor. She begs him to let her go ASAP. Places like hospitals depress her. He promises to let her go as soon as he sees she is stable enough. Now he wants to see her rest. Frida nods. The doctor sees Marta later in the hallway. He tells her that Frida's platelets are low and when her IV is finished she can leave. He says Frida needs to tell her the diagnosis. Towards the end of the episode, Marta is still trying to get the truth out of Frida but she isn't talking.

Amanda shows Ismael photos of her pride and joy: her two cats. he though she would be more of a dog person. She prefers cats because they are independent. You have to take dogs out for walks everyday and with her job, she has not time. Their names are Tommi and Salami. She adopted them as newborns and they have been with her for three years.

Lisset overheard Arturo talking with Iván and mentioning Alejandro. Iván told Arturo not to worry that Aldo had left the city as Arturo ordered him to and that Alejandro would never find him. Lorena says she will never be able to prove her innocence because Arturo will always find a way to stay out of jail.

Nico complains again to Amanda about not including him this time when they went to the hospital. She says she went to his office to let him know but he wasn't there. He suggests that he should have texted him. She advises him that if he wants to work on a team, maybe he should not be leaving his place of employment. She is not his secretary.
 

EXTRAS #2

Sofía tells Alejandro that maybe they are looking at solving the case in the wrong way by presuming that Arturo did it and trying to prove it was him. Maybe they need to change their point of view and consider who had a motive to kill JP. Alejandro says she has been reading too many detective novels. She says no but she got the idea from a movie she saw the night before. They discuss Iván. Alejandro thinks he just cleans up Arturos' dirty business dealings but Aldo is another story. He doubts he did it unless Arturo ordered him to. Alejandro thinks the question is why did Arturo decide to get rid of JP.
He thinks it was because he knew too much but about what???

Nico tells Amanda Ismael talked to him about the night before and he has no idea now Vero got the idea in her head that she was a lesbian. He never said anything to her. He would not be capable of doing such a thing. Amanda could not care less what his novia thinks but she is only asking him not to talk to anyone about her. Absolutley NOBODY! She hopes that is clear.

Amanda the cat woman. Who'd have thunk? Tommi and Salami, love the names, perhaps there's hope for her yet! I loved her standing up to Nico and her intenseness and dedication to her craft. If only she hadn't been the leak. I have the feeling she might well confess rather than having Nico turn her in. Even Nico is smart enough to realize that once he surrenders his "golden goose" he'll be out in the cold once and for all.

I am no closer to figuring out who killed JP than I was in the beginning. Sometimes I think it was on Arturo's orders (I don't see him sullying his hands himself), other times I think Florencia could have done it (perhaps he was cheating on her?) and every once in a while I wonder if it could have been Vincente. He has quite the temper. Could he possibly be his father's son??

Juana #48 part 1 of 3

Juana finds it hard to believe Paula would do something like this. She thinks it could be someone else’s bracelet. She asks Salvador not to tell her family.

Paula is looking at pictures on a phone. Sadly my tv is not huge so I’m only assuming they were the photos Reny took. But then she takes a hammer and smashes the phone. Then her phone bings. She gets a text and the a call from Rogelio. Her mom comes in the room and Paula suggests that they take a walk

Salvador’s crooked boss is telling a guy that the guards will be pulled away from the three goons and he knows what Rogelio expects them to do. The goons are talking among themselves. One says the pregnant girl saw his face. One says he knows who hired them. Sounds like they plan to rat out our sweet duo of would be killers. One says he’s going to say the bracelet was part of their payment. The lights go out. In the next scene the three are laying on the floor of the cell. Pacheco says someone is interfering in the case. Salvador tells him not everything is as it seems. He shows him a picture someone sent him, I’m guessing Paula and Nahuel. He points to the cameras, which were turned off. Pacheco is going to call SMF. They fist bump.

Camacho tells Rogelio photos were sent to Castillo. Not sure if he’s talking about the one we saw or if it has to do with Francisco’s body.

Camila and her mom are at an outdoor restaurant. Her mom wonders why they spent the night in the car.

Paula is upset that Amparo and Manuel told Rogelio what she did. He only cares about the brewery. They say he’s the only one that can help her.

Gabriel brings flowers. He gives Jenny one bouquet and one is for Josefina. Then he says He needs to take Juana far away. Probably California. Jenny doesn’t want her daughter that far away. He tells her to come with them. She needs to be calm for the sake of Juana. She promises she will. Gabriel goes to Juana with a bouquet, he also left one at the statue, but forgot Margarita. He mentions going and she thinks he’s talking about the hacienda.

Memo comes to the garage. Felipe has a sore back. Memo wonders if it’s true that Felipe is sleeping at the garage. Felipe says yes and brings him in.

Jenny brings the flowers to Josefina. She wonders Gabriel is going to come daily. Margarita talks about love and Josefina says they’re having a baby. She asks Jenny why she looks so pensive. She didn’t look like that before Gabriel arrived. Meanwhile Juana is wondering why Gabriel changed his mind about living together. He says they’re having just can’t go to the hacienda. It isn’t safe enough. The things that are happening are very strange. Juana tells him about Salvador’s visit. Does he also think Paula is behind the attempt to kill her?

Memo tells Felipe he’s removing himself from his family. Felipe tells him he’s more of a father to him than Ramon. Memo says Ramon’s blood is in him and tells him all the ways they are alike. He tells him Ramon is dying and if you don’t talk to him it will be too late and you’ll regret it the rest of your life.

Yadria’s friends tell her Felipe is no longer with that girl from the brewery and is sleeping in the garage.

Ramon is thinking of what Enriqueta told him, how she loved Felipe but how he feels towards his dad will prevent him from ever being happy. Josefina brings him tea. She agrees with Enriqueta. Ramon doesn’t blame him, he left him and Felipe had to step up and take his place. He wants to help him but doesn’t know how. Neither does Josefina

Juana #48 part 2

Gabriel thinks Paula was behind the attack. But he thinks it’s Rogelio that tried to have him killed. There’re in the middle of a war that’s been going on for years. Salvador feels they need to leave the country. There’s a conspiracy and it’s inside his business.

Rogelio grabs Paula, he wonders how she could to this. It can ruin her life and the family’s. He tells Manuel to take Amparo away, he needs to talk to Paula alone.

Salvador talks with his crooked boss. He tells him the death at the jail was under his jurisdiction. He mentions Paula Fuemayor as a prime suspect. His boss is going to interview her personally. Salvador mentions she’s a famous model and it’s his case. The boss is not happy with
Salvador. He then tells him Francisco’s mother came in telling him about the last time Gabriel was with Francisco. Salvador wonders where she got her information. His boss doesn’t know but tells him they’ve been treating Gabriel as a victim but he is a prime suspect and they need to search his land.

Juana can’t believe Paula and Rogelio could want them dead. She doesn’t understand how anyone can be that way. Gabriel just wants to keep them safe. Juana thinks they should see justice done but Gabriel says Salvador will do that.

Pacheco is asking Salvador about what’s happening. Salvador suspects his boss. He tells him he will interview Paula and they have to search the Gabriel’s land because Elvira told the boss she suspects Gabriel. Pacheco wonders if Rogelio has something to do with that and Salvador is sure he does.

Rogelio is mad at Paula for hiring goons to kill Juana. She says she wants Gabriel. Rogelio tells her to forget Gabriel. She tells him Camila got the goons and they met at her mother’s house. Rogelio shows her the pictures that were sent to Qurioz(the bearded detective?). Only Paula and Nahuel. Paula is upset that Camila set her up.

Juana and Jenny are talking. Jenny would go with her but she doesn’t have a passport and can’t leave her dad. Juana reassures her. Jenny says they have to tell her grandmother.

Paula and her mom are still at breakfast. She gets a voicemail from Rogelio asking where she is. She can’t hide forever and it will only get worse for her and her family.

Paula is mad at Camila for planning to trap her. She picks up her phone and Rogelio says she won’t answer. But Paula says she’ll read a text. Camila’s mom doesn’t want her to answer it, she tells her mother to eat and answers. It’s Rogelio and he asks where she is.

Felipe is washing himself, bare chested, in the garage when Yadria shows up. She heard the news and brought food. He tells her thanks but it wasn’t necessary. He tells her to go, but she pours the water on his back. Then she takes his towel. He grabs another one and she tells him next time he can bathe in her apartment.

Gabriel tells Enriqueta, Carlos, and David he’s leaving with Juana to protect her and the baby. You are the people I trust the most. The business is in your hands.

Josefina asks Jenny if Gabriel will be happy with Juana. Jenny can’t read the past or the future but it’s a magical love.

Juana #48 part 3

Margarita comes to the garage. She brought their dad so they can talk.

Gabriel tells the three that Salvador suggested they leave. He’s sure the Fuemayors are behind everything. David assures Gabriel he’s leaving the brewery in good hands. They all agree. Gabriel thanks them.

Ramon wants to say something. Felipe can’t stand listening to him. Ramon knows he’s hurt because he abandoned them, and he takes the blame. But he asks Felipe not to be like him. Felipe tells him he’s not like him and Ramon isn’t his father. Ramon tells him he’s abandoned Enriqueta. Be a winner and take the risks. Don’t be a loser like me.

Enriqueta knows Gabriel is like a son to him. She sympathizes with him. He says she’s very capable and they will be up against the Fuemayors. The two of them together will succeed.

Rogelio is with Camila He tells her she’ll never hide from him again or he’ll finish off her mother and brother. Paula is his blood. Camila says it was Paula’s plan. she only had two options. Either she and Paula are both guilty or she’ll continue with her plan.

Salvador, Pacheco and several police arrive and announce themselves to Amparo. He has the papers to bring her in for questioning in the attempted murder of Juana Bravo. Her lawyer is there.

Margarita and Ramon return to the house arguing. Ramon is going to rest. Josefina asks if everything’s ok. Margarita says he went to see Felipe and now he’s mad and sad.

Felipe is thinking of what his dad said about taking risks or being a loser like him. Jenny comes in. Felipe says, another visitor, is this the day of Saint Felipe and everyone comes to confess. He’s upset but Jenny tells him she needs him more than ever. He hugs her and she tells him Juana is leaving Mexico.

Margarita comes for Juana’s dirty dishes. Juana wants to bring them but Margarita tells her she has to rest. Juana tells her she’s a blessing and an angel. Margarita didn’t think they’d accept her. She credits her dad for her being the way she is. Juana asks to see her grandmother.

David tells Gabriel he’s doing the right thing. Gabriel says he’s the only one that thinks so. David says that’s because he took the bullets meant for him. Manuel walks in. Manuel comes in and blames Gabriel for his sister being arrested. It’s his fault she’ll spend the rest of her life in jail.

Salvador shows Paula the pictures of her with the goons. The lawyer says the photos don’t prove anything. Paula says it’s not her fault. The lawyer tells her not to say anything. Paula says another person is trying to blame her.

Amparo is telling Rogelio to get Paula out. He tells her to be calm, she has one of the best lawyers. I didn’t realize they were in the police station until Camila walks up to Pacheco and says she’s here to give her statement.

I confess that I tried to play Wiki(pedia) doctor with Frida's lab results but the diseases causing her symptoms were surprisingly numerous. My only hope is if she continues like she is, that they kill her off soon. Way too depressing having her literally drag herself around crying all the time. Poor Darío in the middle of all this.

Great point about Nico realizing how losing his "golden goose" could be to his detriment. He is increasingly disgusting with every episode thinking that he is all that and more.

I have NO idea about who killed JP either.

Thanks for you comments Kat. Yes, Gabriel was a little late to the party! He needs to tell Salvador what happened at the hacienda, but since they never discovered anything he probably won’t remember until they find the body.

A lot of the police stuff was hard to understand. Maybe SMF is internal affairs, and Pacheco said he’d call them. When Salvador was at the jail and he said, not everything is as it seems, I had no idea what he was talking about. They were obviously dead. I also thought their boss was going to question Paula, but they did. Gabriel needs to take Juana and leave before he ends up getting arrested.

So should we start a what disease does Frida have poll? Aplastic anemia comes to mind. It's kinda the opposite of leukemia and I'm not sure if it has a cure. Lupus is also pretty serious. I've known 2 people that died of those diseases. Not telling anyone is messed up imo.

OT, Diana a former neighbor of ours got aplastic anemia. My husband was in the AF so we moved a lot. I used to send Xmas cards and a few years after leaving that assignment I got news of her passing from her husband. It really affected me. I lost my mother to leukemia at the age of 21 (during spring break from college) and one of their children was studying abroad when she passed and it really hit home to me so I never forgot that disease.
 

Hey guys!!. Missing y'all so much. Many health issues this year. Three surgeries, 2 COVID hospitalizations and now long COVID, and fell down stairs breaking my leg.
Just wanted to ask if there have been any good novelas aired these past 18 months that are worth watching ??? Trying to catch up. I've just been watching my old favorites, but I would really appreciate any suggestions from you guys. Watching Amor Real more than a dozen times is getting old.

My Dominican hubby turned me onto telenovelas when we lived in Valencia, Venezuela, decades ago..
We lived in the hotel where he worked. We would run up to our room at night with the Chef who would prepare a delicious, room-served meal for the three of us.
My first telenovela was the telenovela 'El Caballero de Rauzán' produced by RTI Colombia.

Coincidentally, when we moved back to Charlotte years later, I was thrilled to see it had been reproduced by RTI for Telemundo as ‘La Traición’ with the Cuban hunk Mario Cimarro and Danna García. It was so good.!!!

Victoria, you are not the only one to watch and re-watch novelas. For me “La fea más bella” is like your “Amor real”. I am currently watching it again and have lost count of how many times I have seen it but it is always a “comfy” watch.
 

FUGITIVAS #55 Part 1

Lorena calls Gabriela, concerned, asking how she is. Vincente comes in and Gabriela whispers to him she is speaking with her sister. She asks her how she is and Vincente has her put the conversation on speaker. Lorena is really worried but Gabriela says she is safe with Vincente. Wrong answer! Lorena says the family cannot be trusted! With that, an angry Vincente grabs the phone and starts screaming at Lorena for badmouthing his family!

Lorena verbally fights back as Gabriela winces. “Basta” Gabriela finally murmurs, ending the call, much to Lorena’s consternation. Vincente wants to call the police but Gabriela protests. “She is my sister” Gabriela pleads when he persists. All he seems to care about is his odious family. Gabriela protests that her sister is innocent and Vincente storms off.

Florencia asks her father for Ivan Castro’s phone number. She wants him to represent her in the divorce. It doesn’t appear he wants that to happen (perhaps due to Ismael finding out he is associated with Ivan) but he does send her a number by text.

Lorena is back at the bar and tells Montse what happened. She is furious.

Alejandro calls Sofia, waking her up to discuss their newest plan.

Natalia is cooing over her baby (as well she should). Frida asks about Dario and Natalia says he is a prince among men. Frida is crying as she agrees. Natalia tries to encourage her but Frida (and we) are not sure as Dario has not proved to be the forgiving type. Frida sits dissolving in tears as Natalia puts her arm around her.

Charo is ordering Lisset around, yelling at her per usual telling Lisset “enough”.

Florencia is at a doctor’s and is shown inside. Hmmm.

Lorena visits Alejandro: they are waiting for Sofia. You are the love of my life he tells her. “Te amo Alejandro” she retorts, kissing him as “their” music plays…

Marta gets a call from Patricio. Using his famous dulcet tones, he tries to sweet talk her but it isn’t working. He hears the baby cry, comments on it and Marta quickly ends the call.

FUGITIVAS #55 Part 2

Alejandro’s shirt is unbuttoned and Lorena looks uncomfortably draped on the couch as he runs his finger up and down her back. I think she tells him about her conversation with Gabriela and he says Vincente was there the night JP was murdered. She mentions documents Marquez has.

Vincente tells Gabriela he is going to try and find Teo’s mother. More back and forth, the two are not aligned but I’m glad to see her sticking up for her sister. He pouts and flounces out.

Alejandro tells Sofia that one of Lorena’s friends saw that Marquez has a safe in his office …

The doctor tells Florencia everything is fine; in fact, Florencia is pregnant!! Florencia is stunned and questions it but it’s all too true. Looking like a deer in the headlights, she tries to process. The doctor wants her to bring her husband back in two weeks to hear the baby’s heartbeat…

Sofia has a plan…she has a tiny camera (like in the movies Lorena offers) that will be planted in Arturo’s office…

Frida has some orange juice and tries to make light of her illness to Marta who knows the cause is far more than stress; it’s serious. Frida makes more excuses.

Vincente comes across Teo’s mother, Lucre (I finally realized she is played by the marvelous almost unrecognizable Laura Vignatti). Vincente shows her a picture of Teo and she is clearly moved. She gets defensive and tells him to leave. Although she looks moved, his pleas fall on deaf ears; she will stay away rather than hurt him. Lucre’s “friends” come looking for her and take her away; one gets pushy with Vincente.

A lawyer (not Ivan) calls Florencia about the divorce but she puts him off. She gets in the car and hits the steering wheel with her hands in anger and frustration.

Lorena tells Lisset the plan to get the goods on Arturo.

The girls get ready for work as an unhappy, unapproving but determined Marta takes Frida to task.

Vero is waiting for Nico, giving him attitude, reaming him out for (I think) his lie that Amanda is gay. She says she is his novia but he tells her to get lost.

Cheerful Erick greets an unsmiling Dario. Dario earnestly tells him he was an idiot all this time. Erick says he wasn’t and isn’t. The girls come in and Frida just stands and stares at him until he turns away; she walks on.

Florencia helps herself to a drink as Charo works at the huge kitchen table. It doesn’t agree with Florencia and she throws it out. Florencia starts in a bit but then pulls herself together and leaves.

Vincente comes home and greets Gabriela who tells him to sit. I believe she says that if she has to choose between his family and her sister, it is her sister, who is innocent. Showing she’s found her spine, Vincente backpedals furiously and apologizes, kissing her. She asks what happened with Teo’s mother…

Frida, looking good tonight tries to make small talk with Dario who pours the drinks, unresponsive. “Gracias” she murmurs looking hurt, walking away.

The next morning, Florencia is still sitting and pouting when Charo comes in. She tells her she has spoken to a lawyer but seems to have misgivings.

Lorena tells Lisset to be very careful.

Frida and Natalia and daughter continue their talk. Dario comes in wearing a genuine smile and is quite kind to Natalia. He leans over and smiles sweetly at the baby, touching her gently. He leaves without a word to Frida who is immersed in tears. Again.

Ismael calls Marta and wants her to come to his office. Lisset and Montse look on with concern.

Arturo interrupts Lisset’s “cleaning” as he chases her out of his office. Too late though as we see with glee that Lisset already installed the camera. She calls Sofia and tells her it’s in place. Sofia is on her computer and tells Lisset she did a perfect job. Arturo opens the safe and Sofia now knows the combination!

I like that this story isn’t formulaic and that unexpected plot developments crop up; tonight – Florencia’s pregnancy!

Kindly add to what I missed and correct what I might have gotten wrong.

Yes, Arturo doesn't want any connection between him and Iván that could be brought to Ismael's attention so he is suggesting another lawyer (Albert Lagunes) to his daughter.

Ismael wants to come see Marta to talk about something. She decides to see him at his office rather than risking him coming to see her at her home.

Florencia was obviously not enthusiastic about the pregnancy as her gynecologist is so effusive in her congratulations. Did anyone catch how far along she was. I feel like she said 3 or 4 months, but perhaps is was weeks. If months then would that put Juan Pablo in the running for baby daddy? I also thought when she and Ismael reconciled she was hoping for a baby which means she likely stopped using bc at that time.

Vicente is back in the dislike column. I'm having trouble placing the actress Laura vignatti in mas familia. Was she Dani?

Juana #49 part 1 of 3

Salvador interviews Camila. Her story is she was moving her mother to her apartment. This was her childhood home, she and Paula were there when the goons came. Luckily Paula had enough cash on her to pay them to not abuse them. She doesn’t know why she’s not in the photo, maybe because Paula is the famous model, and she doesn’t know who took it. Obviously, since she is here defending Paula she wasn’t setting her up. Pacheco and the crooked detective are watching through a one way window. The crooked guy seems content with the statement. Meanwhile Paula wants to blame Camila and her lawyer tells her Camila is the only one who can free her, her father arranged it and she needs to keep her mouth shut, let the lawyer call the shots. Amparo is really upset, saying it’s not just Paula’s fault. Rogelio tells her to be quiet. Camila comes out with Salvador and says she told them all she knows.

Manuel is mad that Gabriel accused his sister of being behind the attack. Gabriel says he heard him at the house talking about it He has eyes and ears everywhere and is watching his family. He will be guilty too, as he is going along with his family. David is trying to calm Gabriel down. Gabriel wants Rogelio out of the business. There’s no place for traitors.

Felipe is comforting Jenny. He says if it’s best for Gabriel and Juana to go away they need to help them. She cries in his arms.

Ramon is telling Josefina about his conversation with Felipe. Ramon says he told him he’s getting more like him. Margarita knocks and tells Josefina Juana needs her. She tells Ramon to pair the socks and leaves the room. Juana tells Josefina she’ll be moving in with Gabriel, the bad people that want to hurt Gabriel also want to hurt her baby. Josefina is glad he’s putting her and their baby as a priority and says they’ll be together again soon.

Gabriel tells David he wants to protect Juana but also his business. He wants Rogelio out. David thinks this will make the situation worse. Gabriel wants
David to take Rogelio’s place.

The bad detective, who is also Salvador’s boss tells him
Camila’s statement proves Paula innocent. Salvador disagrees and bad detective tells him he went after Paula because her marriage was going through some difficult times. After Bad Detective tells Paula she’s free to go Salvador says he’ll still be investigating to find the guilty ones. Rogelio is not happy.

David, Carlos and Enriqueta tell the staff business is great, and not just because of the fusion, they’ve all worked hard to make this happen. David gives different people assignments and they go off to work. David then tells Carlos and Enriqueta that Gabriel wants to get Rogelio out of the company.

Rogelio is mad at Salvador and talking to Bad Detective. He’s worried he’ll continue investigating Paula. The BD tells him he is Salvador’s boss. He also says Salvador I’d very respected by many important political people. When he finds the body and Gabriel is in prison everyone will forget about the attack.

Jarifa, thanks for clarifying how far along Florencia is. Like you Kat, I thought the doctor said months, but I hesitated to note that so am glad I didn't.

It seems the five minutes Florencia and Ismael reconciled was a while ago but who knows in telenovela time? :) I think the baby is Nico's.

I want to warm to Vincente but I just can't get there even though his scenes with Teo are sweet. I don't like his anger toward Gabriela; there have been times he's bordered on abusive.

Juana #49 part 2

Gabriel enters the police station and sees Paula, Amparo and the lawyer leaving. He asks how she can be going free Paula tells him she’s innocent. She keeps talking and the lawyer tells her to stop talking. She then says the baby is legally hers and Gabriel tells the lawyer she better talk to her client. Rogelio enters and wonders how he can accuse his daughter of murder. Gabriel replies that he knows how Rogelio is.

Gabriel talks to Salvador. They’re both sure Paula did it but Camila’s testimony cleared her. When Gabriel asks why Camila would do that Salvador says “you know her better than I do”. With the 3 goons dead there’s not much he can do. He again tells Gabriel to leave Mexico and that he has orders to search his land. Gabriel wonders why.

Manuel asks Camila about his sister. She says his dad made her give false testimony and Paula is free. Manuel tells her Gabriel has his eyes open. They have to take care of his mother ((not sure about that).

Gabriel wonders why they’re going to search his land. Is Rogelio behind it? Salvador doesn’t know but Rogelio and BD have a long history. And some very powerful men are behind this. Gabriel tells him about what happened at the hacienda, but that they never saw anything. Salvador tells him to leave Mexico

Paula tells her mother she now hates Gabriel like he hates her. She’s going to make his life miserable. This is another war between the Rubios and the Fuemayors but this time they’re going to win.

Rogelio goes into Camila’s office to tell her that Quiroz (bad detective has a name, and I think I used it once before)said her testimony was excellent. When he says they’ll celebrate at a nice restaurant she tells him they had a deal, she got Paula off and they are over. Rogelio is not happy. He glares at her, even after he leaves the office.

Pacheco asks Salvador what happened with Quiroz. Salvador puts his fingers to his lips. Pacheco tells him he’s sending men to the Rubio land to search.

Gabriel confronts Paula and she admits she lied because Rogelio threatened to kill her. She needs Gabriel at her side so she can tell the truth. She’s alone and has nobody.

Every one in the Bravo family is in Juana’s room. Jenny is packing, but Juana will grow and they won’t fit. Jenny bought her new clothes. All Juana needs is her camera and her drawings. Jenny wants daily video calls. Ramon tells her how glad he was to be able to get to know her. Dani is at the window

Gabriel comes home to his land covered with police. Salvador tells him Quiroz sent them and he can’t leave until the search is done. Salvador says the police already know what they’re looking for. Gabriel now can’t take Juana away.

Dani asks how’s Juana feels. She has mixed emotions. She’s happy she’ll be with Gabriel all the time. She’s sad to leave her family, she’ll miss them. Josefina is trying to get Jenny to eat. She’s not hungry, her daughter will be in California and she doesn’t have a passport. Josefina says Juana and the baby are the priority.

Juana #49 part 3

Felipe is looking. Sad. Ramon sees him and goes to him. He thanks him for caring for Juana and being the pillar of the family for all this time Felipe says Gracias and Ramon smiles.

Enriqueta is working at home when Carlos shows up with wine and food. She makes it clear he came to work.

Gabriel explains to Alnita what’s going on, as he packs. She gives him a blessing.

At Juana’s everyone is sitting around the table for breakfast. Pepito isn’t hungry. He’s going to miss Juana. He asks Margarita what she does best, iron? When she nods Pepito suggests they start a bussiness,she’ll iron and he gets a percentage.

Carlos wakes up on Enriqueta’s couch. She is ready to go and thinks it will be better to go without him. They’ve been working on a letter to Rogelio and she will give it to him.

Manuel comes downstairs and sees Camacho. He asks him what really happened to Francisco. Camacho tells him He tells him he’s giving him advice, think of other things.

Salvador tells Tomas the men are here to look in the daylight. Almita tells Tomas that Gabriel left early but they didn’t see or hear anything.

Rogelio welcomes Enriqueta to his home, but he’s worried. Is everything ok with the brewery. She tells him there’s some changes and by order of the president he’s fired, effective immediately. She hands him the folder with the letter in it.

Gabriel comes to get Juana. They have an earlier flight. It’s time to say goodbye. She wants to see Dr. Irma. The family says goodbye. Gabriel meets Ramon and Pepito. The latter denies being at his house for the party. Gabriel says he and Juana won’t live there. Pepito wants to know if it will have a pool.

Enriqueta, David, Carlos, Camila and Manuel are standing in front of the workers. Enriqueta announces that foe personal reasons Gabriel has left the country, she, David and Carlos will be in charge. Rogelio is no longer working there and David will be head of distribution.

Juana and Gabriel are at the doctors.

Salvador is told they’ve found something, surprise-it’s a body.
